- 0:01Speaker 1: It is official. We have a new leader in the Senate.
- 0:04Speaker 1: It is Senter Thun. And before we get into that,
- 0:08Speaker 1: we also have President Trump and President Biden meeting in
- 0:11Speaker 1: the Oval Office in a very interesting moment. And I
- 0:14Speaker 1: want to explain the grin on the face of Joe Biden.
- 0:19Speaker 1: This is a meeting that did not take place in
- 0:21Speaker 1: twenty twenty, but it has taken place now. Why I
- 0:25Speaker 1: actually believe it's because now Joe Biden understands what a
- 0:28Speaker 1: coup attempt against you feels like. After the Five Families
- 0:32Speaker 1: and the Democratic Party went against him and I believe
- 0:35Speaker 1: threatened him with a twenty fifth amendment, He's now the
- 0:38Speaker 1: happiest man in Washington because one of those that was
- 0:41Speaker 1: involved in that coup was none other than Kamala Harris,
- 0:45Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and the
- 0:51Speaker 1: Obamas were all involved. Well, now he gets to laugh
- 0:55Speaker 1: because it was a disaster. After they threw him out
- 0:58Speaker 1: of the White House and room at midnight at the
- 1:01Speaker 1: Democratic Convention early on in that week to say see
- 1:04Speaker 1: you later, We're done with you. They also did not
- 1:08Speaker 1: want him on the campaign. They did not want him
- 1:11Speaker 1: helping Kama Harris whether that backfired or not, we may
- 1:14Speaker 1: never know, but it was very clear they didn't want
- 1:17Speaker 1: him anywhere close. We also are seeing Democrats who said,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you know, you must concede if you lose an election. Yeah,
- 1:25Speaker 1: I guess what. They're full of crap. Bob Casey now
- 1:28Speaker 1: refusing to concede the Pennsylvania seat with Dave McCormick, as
- 1:32Speaker 1: Democrats tried to block him from even coming to Congress
- 1:35Speaker 1: to get his orientation. Now we're going to get back
- 1:39Speaker 1: to all of that in a moment, but I want
- 1:41Speaker 1: you to hear Joe Biden welcoming Donald Trump to the
- 1:44Speaker 1: White House, and this is the friendliest we've ever seen them.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Ms President elected in former President found congratulations, thank you
- 1:53Speaker 2: and looking forward to having, like you said, through transition
- 1:59Speaker 2: to every week and Rich sure you're a comminating.
- 2:01Speaker 1: What you need.
- 2:02Speaker 2: It's very good chance to talk about some about today.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It's good.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Well, thank you very much.
- 2:09Speaker 4: And politics is tough, and it's many cases not a
- 2:14Speaker 4: very nice world, but it is a.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Nice world today.
- 2:17Speaker 2: And I appreciate very much a transition that's so smooth.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It'll be as smooth as you can get. I very
- 2:24Speaker 1: much appreciated on you you will there. It is their moment,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and it was a genuine grin from Joe Biden to
- 2:33Speaker 1: Donald Trump. I also think these two men may have
- 2:36Speaker 1: been softened a little bit. I think the assassination attempt
- 2:39Speaker 1: on Donald Trump's life has changed him, and I think
- 2:42Speaker 1: Joe Biden, in the way that he's been treated by
- 2:44Speaker 1: the Democratic Party has also changed him. And so what
- 2:48Speaker 1: we are now witnessing is something that is truly shocking.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What we are witnessing now is something that Democrats absolutely hate.
- 2:59Speaker 1: They can not stand watching a Democrat and a Republican
- 3:04Speaker 1: get along in this way. Now, let's get to the
- 3:06Speaker 1: other news that everybody's obsessed with, and that is Senator
- 3:10Speaker 1: Thom Chuck Schumer coming out on the floor of the
- 3:13Speaker 1: Senate saying this, I.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Go, mister President, I have just been told that Senator
- 3:20Speaker 5: John Thune will be the next Republican leader in the Senate.
- 3:24Speaker 5: I congratulate Senator Thun on being chosen by his colleagues
- 3:28Speaker 5: as the next Republican leader. I look forward to working
- 3:32Speaker 5: with him. We've done many bipartisan things here in the
- 3:36Speaker 5: Senate together, and I hope that continues. As you know,
- 3:43Speaker 5: I strongly believe that bipartisanship is the best and often
- 3:46Speaker 5: the only way to get things done in the Senate.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to call bs on that line. We
- 3:52Speaker 1: all know that that's crap, And I love how he's like,
- 3:55Speaker 1: We've done many bipartisan things in the Senate, except we're
- 3:58Speaker 1: in charge, and then we say to the republic Wilkins,
- 4:00Speaker 1: here's our two middle fingers. But now that we're in
- 4:02Speaker 1: the minority. Oh, we want to work together. We want
- 4:06Speaker 1: to get along, we want to be best friends. Yes,
- 4:10Speaker 1: all of these things we want. We want to get along, kumbaiaism.
- 4:14Speaker 1: We're so excited that everybody can just work together.
- 4:17Speaker 6: Now.
- 4:18Speaker 1: There are many Conservatives that are angry right now. They
- 4:22Speaker 1: are frustrated that Thune is the guy that got it
- 4:24Speaker 1: Mini Maga. Conservatives saying this is not who he wanted,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and they're angry, and a lot of senators who voted
- 4:30Speaker 1: for him. Let's be clear, there are a lot of
- 4:32Speaker 1: Conservatives that voted for the senator from Florida, Rick Scott
- 4:38Speaker 1: on the first round. Now we're going to find out
- 4:40Speaker 1: more about that. But Manu Raju on CNN as he
- 4:43Speaker 1: was reporting on this news, here is what he said about.
- 4:47Speaker 3: It, and I apologize.
- 4:48Speaker 7: We're going to get back to you. We want to
- 4:50Speaker 7: go back down to the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue
- 4:53Speaker 7: once again because we have breaking news on the Senate
- 4:57Speaker 7: Republican leader race. It is John Thoon of South Dakota Monor.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Take it away.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Yeah, the new Senate Majority Leader, Senator John Thun, elected.
- 5:09Speaker 3: First in two thousand and four, has worked.
- 5:11Speaker 4: His way up the rungs of Republican leadership. Has been
- 5:14Speaker 4: a committee chairman, was now the current Republican Whip has
- 5:18Speaker 4: now is sended from the number two spot to the
- 5:20Speaker 4: number one. He will be the Republican leader the majority
- 5:23Speaker 4: of the person who is in charge of setting the
- 5:25Speaker 4: agenda on the floor of the Senate, one of the
- 5:27Speaker 4: most consequential jobs, and Washington will have to work with
- 5:31Speaker 4: the incoming Republican White House and incoming Republican President to
- 5:34Speaker 4: get this agenda through.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Now, this a vote just wrapped behind closed.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Doors, according to multiple sources that John Thune edged out
- 5:42Speaker 4: John Cornyn on a vote of twenty nine to twenty four.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Cornyn was a former Republican whip, a two time member
- 5:48Speaker 4: of the Senate GOP campaign chairman. This campaign had taken
- 5:52Speaker 4: shape behind the scenes for about nine months and the aftmat.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Of Mitch McConnell making that decision not to run again
- 5:59Speaker 3: for Republican leader.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Mc coney has dominated the Senate GOP for eighteen years,
- 6:03Speaker 4: the longest.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Serving Senate party leader in.
- 6:05Speaker 4: History, but decided it was time for him to step aside.
- 6:08Speaker 4: And now we're seeing a new generation of sort of
- 6:11Speaker 4: John fud is sixty.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Three years old.
- 6:12Speaker 4: He has served in the Senate, says two thousand and five.
- 6:15Speaker 4: His politics are much more in the mainstream of GOP orthodox.
- 6:18Speaker 4: You don't have to figure out a way to work
- 6:20Speaker 4: with Donald Trump. Sometimes they have not always been in line.
- 6:22Speaker 4: In fact, and the aftermath of that Access Hollywood tape
- 6:25Speaker 4: in twenty sixteen, he called on Trump to step drop
- 6:27Speaker 4: out of the presidential race, and the aftermath of the
- 6:30Speaker 4: twenty twenty election, he thought the election should not be overturned.
- 6:33Speaker 4: He criticized Donald Trump as well and supported Tim Scott
- 6:37Speaker 4: for in the Republican presidential primary.
- 6:39Speaker 3: But Fune over the last.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Several months has endorsed Donald Trump has gone on the
- 6:43Speaker 4: Trump train.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Of sources, they've been in frequent.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Communication up told the last he and his team over
- 6:47Speaker 4: the last several months to try to bolster that relationship,
- 6:50Speaker 4: and Trump himself decided to stay neutral in this race,
- 6:53Speaker 4: perhaps recognizing.
- 6:54Speaker 3: That even though fun may not be in line with.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Some of the others who were running, particularly Senator Rick
- 6:58Speaker 4: Scott who lost in the first on a balloting, that
- 7:01Speaker 4: decided to stay up because this race could have gone
- 7:03Speaker 4: any which way. And oftentimes, Dan, as you know, these
- 7:07Speaker 4: races come down to relationships, they come down to commitments
- 7:10Speaker 4: they have made to these members, committee assignments that they
- 7:13Speaker 4: may promise, fundraising.
- 7:14Speaker 7: In the like.
- 7:15Speaker 4: So there are lots of different reasons for people to
- 7:17Speaker 4: vote a certain way. But this momentous decision by the
- 7:20Speaker 4: Senate GOP picking John Thune as the next Republican leader,
- 7:23Speaker 4: the majority leader, someone will decide the party's strategy for
- 7:26Speaker 4: the years ahead.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yeah, this is again and you heard, and this is
- 7:31Speaker 1: the part that I think many of you need to understand.
- 7:33Speaker 1: There was a first round ballot and there were a
- 7:35Speaker 1: lot of people that voted for Scott, the Florida Senator.
- 7:39Speaker 1: He was the one that many Conservatives wanted. He didn't
- 7:43Speaker 1: have the vote, so that was the problem number one
- 7:46Speaker 1: with that. Then you move on to the second round.
- 7:48Speaker 1: The question is would you rather have Thune or corn It.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Many conservatives believe that Thune is better than Cornyan. I
- 7:55Speaker 1: wish that we could have gone in there and picked
- 7:57Speaker 1: exactly who he wanted. The reality is, the Senate's a
- 8:03Speaker 1: old school club with a bunch of really old people
- 8:06Speaker 1: that were going to do what they wanted to do,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and there was nothing that was going to happen without
- 8:12Speaker 1: them saying, all right, we're fine with it. They were
- 8:14Speaker 1: not going to be bullied. That was very obvious. If
- 8:17Speaker 1: they could have been bullied, then we would be talking
- 8:19Speaker 1: right now about the next Senate majority leader being the
- 8:23Speaker 1: senator from Florida. We are not, because on that first
- 8:25Speaker 1: ballot he did not get the votes that he needed. Now,
- 8:29Speaker 1: this is again one of those moments where I do
- 8:33Speaker 1: believe that there is a lot of good that can
- 8:35Speaker 1: still come out of this, because I do believe that
- 8:38Speaker 1: Thune understands his role right now and doesn't want to
- 8:41Speaker 1: go against Trump. Okay, I just I don't I think
- 8:45Speaker 1: he understands that. Now do we watch him like a hawk? Yes?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Is this the guy that I think everybody really really
- 8:50Speaker 1: really wanted. No, but this is who we got. And
- 8:55Speaker 1: some other breaking news by the way, Cia officer has
- 8:58Speaker 1: been charged with leaking class info on Israel's plan to
- 9:03Speaker 1: strike Iran. This coming at the same time, as one
- 9:06Speaker 1: headline put it, the swamp bites back. I want to
- 9:11Speaker 1: tell you real quick about my friends over at Delta Defense.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Everyone thinks they're keeping their family safe, but are you really.
- 9:18Speaker 1: With the elections coming up, anything might happen if you
- 9:22Speaker 1: dare defend yourself. Our twisted legal system will probably put
- 9:26Speaker 1: you behind bars while the criminal walks free. See they've
- 9:30Speaker 1: got us to a point where we're fighting to keep
- 9:32Speaker 1: our Second Amendment rights, yet risk losing everything if we
- 9:37Speaker 1: actually use them. That's why over eight hundred thousand Americans
- 9:41Speaker 1: are members of the USCCA, Because not only will you
- 9:46Speaker 1: get access to their Protector Academy to learn vital skills
- 9:50Speaker 1: like precision shooting and how to fortify your home against criminals,
- 9:54Speaker 1: but you also get access to the twenty four to
- 9:58Speaker 1: seven Critical Response Team and the included benefit of self
- 10:03Speaker 1: defense liability insurance to make sure you and your family
- 10:08Speaker 1: are prepared for anything and for a limited time. Text
- 10:13Speaker 1: the word America to eight seven two to two to
- 10:20Speaker 1: get the uscca's free Life Saving, Concealed Carry and Family
- 10:25Speaker 1: Defense Guide. And a chance to win seventeen hundred dollars
- 10:30Speaker 1: to buy any self defense gear you need before it's
- 10:33Speaker 1: too late again. Right now, text the word America to
- 10:38Speaker 1: eight seven two two two. Right now, that's eight seven
- 10:43Speaker 1: two two two. Text the word America now. All right,
- 10:47Speaker 1: So the numbers are now coming out, so let's get
- 10:50Speaker 1: into the votes. And as I'm recording this as the
- 10:52Speaker 1: latest information that we have, so if something changes after this,
- 10:55Speaker 1: it's because like while I'm recording this, something could change.
- 10:58Speaker 1: But this is what I'm getting from sources in DC.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I'm being told now that Thune received twenty three votes
- 11:04Speaker 1: on the first ballt and I remember these are supposed
- 11:06Speaker 1: to be secret ballots. That's why I'm saying. I'm getting
- 11:07Speaker 1: this intel and I believe it to be pretty good.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Fun received twenty three votes on the first ballot for
- 11:13Speaker 1: short of locking up a victory, Senator John Cornyn received fifteen,
- 11:19Speaker 1: that is Cornyn from Texas and Senator Rick Scott came
- 11:22Speaker 1: in last place with thirteen votes. So on the second ballot,
- 11:28Speaker 1: Thune secured a victory over Cornyn twenty nine to twenty four.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So it was a very tight race obviously divided. There
- 11:36Speaker 1: Republicans convened Tuesday night for a leadership forum that was
- 11:39Speaker 1: organized by Senator Mike Lee, the Republican from Utahs. They
- 11:43Speaker 1: grappled with who was best to lead them through the
- 11:46Speaker 1: Trump administration and beyond. Those discussions centered on how to
- 11:50Speaker 1: return more autonomy to individual centers as well as effectively
- 11:55Speaker 1: advanced to a conservative agenda after McConnell often partnered with
- 12:01Speaker 1: Democrats to advanced legislation, most notably the ridiculous spinning bills.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And that was a problem that obviously many conservatives in
- 12:09Speaker 1: Congress had a real problem with. And I understand why
- 12:13Speaker 1: now Scott, the conservative favorite, seemed to gain traction after
- 12:18Speaker 1: the forum. His candidacy likely initiated concessions also from Thune
- 12:24Speaker 1: and Cornyn to have certain people that they would make
- 12:27Speaker 1: promises too. McConnell, as you know, sir, for eighteen years,
- 12:31Speaker 1: screwed many hardcore conservatives every chance he got. It's unlikely
- 12:35Speaker 1: Thune will match that record. By the way, fun generally
- 12:38Speaker 1: considered the favorite despite his past and a mosity towards Trump,
- 12:43Speaker 1: now is going to have to navigate the challenges of
- 12:45Speaker 1: a much different Senate composed of much more Trump friendly Republicans,
- 12:51Speaker 1: and so there I am sure, okay, I am sure
- 12:56Speaker 1: that that is something that is going to be part
- 12:58Speaker 1: of the back room deal that happened here to get
- 13:01Speaker 1: him the job. Now we're also hearing more about Trump's
- 13:05Speaker 1: orbit and the people around him. President elect Trump, it's
- 13:08Speaker 1: just been announced as bringing four advisors from his presidential
- 13:12Speaker 1: campaign into his White House, his deputy chiefs of staff,
- 13:15Speaker 1: including two longtime aids, and the political directory put a
- 13:19Speaker 1: key role in his victory. This coming now from the
- 13:22Speaker 1: Associated Press. President Elect Trump bringing in these four advisors
- 13:27Speaker 1: from the presidential campaign into the White House's deputy chief
- 13:30Speaker 1: of staff, including these two aids as well. Trump announced
- 13:34Speaker 1: the longtime aid Dan Scavino, will serve as deputy, without
- 13:38Speaker 1: giving a specific portfolio. Now, Dan's been around him since
- 13:42Speaker 1: early in the campaign twenty sixteen. He was the White
- 13:45Speaker 1: House and then went down to Florida with him as well.
- 13:48Speaker 1: This is not a surprise and a great person to
- 13:51Speaker 1: serve the president.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Now.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Campaign political director James Blair has been named as Deputy
- 13:56Speaker 1: for Legislation, our Legislative, Political and Public offas that's the
- 14:00Speaker 1: official title, and Taylor Butterwich will also have a major
- 14:05Speaker 1: job as Deputy chief of Staff for Communications and Personnel.
- 14:10Speaker 1: All of these will have the rank of Assistant to
- 14:12Speaker 1: the President in their title.
- 14:14Speaker 8: Now.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Trump also formally announced Stephen Miller and Immigration Hardliner will
- 14:19Speaker 1: be Deputy chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security
- 14:21Speaker 1: advisor that had previously been confirmed by Vice President le
- 14:25Speaker 1: Like Jeddi Vance on Monday as well. Now Blair was
- 14:28Speaker 1: the political director for Trump's campaign and, once Trump became
- 14:32Speaker 1: the presentative GOP nominee, the political director for the Republican
- 14:36Speaker 1: National Committee. He previously worked on Trump's twenty twenty campaign
- 14:39Speaker 1: in Florida and was a top aide to Florida Governor
- 14:42Speaker 1: Ron DeSantis as well. Now Dan was a senior advisor
- 14:46Speaker 1: on Trump's campaign. In his first term in the White House,
- 14:49Speaker 1: he worked as a social media director and did an
- 14:51Speaker 1: amazing job. He began working for Trump as a caddie
- 14:55Speaker 1: at one of Trump's golf courses and was part of
- 14:57Speaker 1: a small group of staffers who travel with the president
- 15:01Speaker 1: across the country for the entirety of the campaign. He
- 15:03Speaker 1: frequently posted memes and videos of Trump's campaign travel online,
- 15:07Speaker 1: cataloging the campaign from the inside on social media, and
- 15:10Speaker 1: it worked. Before joining the campaign, Butterwich worked for the
- 15:14Speaker 1: pro Trump super pac MAGA, Inc. And Trump's political action
- 15:18Speaker 1: committee known as Save America. Dan, Steven James, and Taylor
- 15:24Speaker 1: were best in class advisors on my winning campaign, Trump
- 15:27Speaker 1: said in the announcement, and I know they will honorably
- 15:29Speaker 1: serve the American people in the White House. They will
- 15:31Speaker 1: continue to work hard to make America great again in
- 15:34Speaker 1: their respective new roles. Miller is one of Trump's longest
- 15:37Speaker 1: serving aids, dating back to his first campaign for the
- 15:39Speaker 1: White House. He was a senior advisor and Trump's first
- 15:42Speaker 1: term and has been a central figure in many of
- 15:45Speaker 1: his policy decisions, particularly on immigration, including Trump's move to
- 15:49Speaker 1: separate thousands of immigrant families as a deterrent program back
- 15:53Speaker 1: in twenty eighteen. So that is obviously very big news there.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Now there's also another war that is shaping up. And
- 16:02Speaker 1: I mentioned this in a in a prior show, but
- 16:06Speaker 1: it's very clear now Democrats they're going to try to
- 16:10Speaker 1: derail the nomination of Pete headseth Uh, the the Fox
- 16:16Speaker 1: News weekend host at Fox and Trump is going to
- 16:19Speaker 1: nominate as he's as he's already said him to be
- 16:23Speaker 1: the Secretary of Defense. Nobody fights harder for the troops
- 16:26Speaker 1: is what troops are saying about him. That the pick
- 16:29Speaker 1: is being loved by those in the military community, it
- 16:32Speaker 1: is not being loved by many of the establishment warhawks
- 16:36Speaker 1: in Washington, d c. Because this is where they make
- 16:38Speaker 1: their money. And if you are pro defense, and when
- 16:41Speaker 1: I when I say pro defense, I mean pro buying
- 16:44Speaker 1: a bunch of goods and services and technology, and you're
- 16:49Speaker 1: one of those, you do not like this pick at all,
- 16:52Speaker 1: because this is a guy that's not necessarily going to
- 16:55Speaker 1: spend just insane amounts of money and make a lot
- 16:58Speaker 1: of people really really rich, defence contractors and lobbyists. The
- 17:02Speaker 1: list goes on and on, and so they are fighting back. Well,
- 17:06Speaker 1: the media also is seized on this, and the Democrats look,
- 17:08Speaker 1: they want a conservative Trump pick ahead on a stick,
- 17:12Speaker 1: and it looks like this is the one that they're
- 17:14Speaker 1: wanting to go after. I say that to again go
- 17:19Speaker 1: back to what you need to be telling people and
- 17:21Speaker 1: saying it to them over and over and over again.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Lloyd Austin, for example, is a guy that went a wall.
- 17:29Speaker 1: That is the current Secretary of Defense. He was in
- 17:31Speaker 1: the hospital incapacitated. Didn't tell anybody you want me to
- 17:35Speaker 1: believe that Pete is a somehow threat to America while
- 17:39Speaker 1: that guy was doing that. Let me also just put
- 17:42Speaker 1: it in perspective for you that Pete and let's compare
- 17:45Speaker 1: him to the vice presidential candidate Tim Waltz under Kamala Harris.
- 17:50Speaker 1: They both served in the Minnesota National Guard. Waltz, however,
- 17:55Speaker 1: decided to abandon his unit right before they were deployed
- 17:59Speaker 1: to Afghanistan. He also lied about his rank. Many have
- 18:02Speaker 1: said it's stolen valor. You can decide for yourself, But
- 18:06Speaker 1: Pete actually went to Afghanistan and getm and Iraq. You
- 18:11Speaker 1: want to know the difference between these two men, Well,
- 18:13Speaker 1: Pete received the Bronze Star and two Army Commendation medals
- 18:18Speaker 1: as well. And what do we have from well Tim?
- 18:23Speaker 1: He lied about his service, He lied about combat. Never
- 18:27Speaker 1: forget this dude lied about being in combat. He said
- 18:30Speaker 1: it clearly. We played that clip on the show before
- 18:32Speaker 1: where he says he's hell weapons of war, been in
- 18:35Speaker 1: war with weapons of war, and only you know when
- 18:37Speaker 1: he was talking about gun control and I know weapons
- 18:40Speaker 1: of war, right Like That's that's what he said, over
- 18:42Speaker 1: and over and over and over and over and over
- 18:43Speaker 1: again and then he got busted and he's like, oh,
- 18:47Speaker 1: I'm kind of a you know, an income put sometimes.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Remember when he said that on his debate. He's like, oh,
- 18:52Speaker 1: sometimes I just say things, and you know, he just
- 18:54Speaker 1: said it's not always true. I'm gonna say it again
- 18:58Speaker 1: because it's important. It's really important. Okay, it's extremely important.
- 19:05Speaker 1: When they start attacking Pete, remind them of who we
- 19:09Speaker 1: have running the DoD now and remind them of the
- 19:13Speaker 1: stolen valor want to tell you about the International Fellowship
- 19:17Speaker 1: of Christians and Jews. Last week, Americans voted in one
- 19:21Speaker 1: of the most consequential elections in our history, and with
- 19:24Speaker 1: all that's happening, we know that the support of Americans
- 19:26Speaker 1: like you mean so much the people of Israel, especially now.
- 19:31Speaker 1: This past year, not only have we seen the war
- 19:33Speaker 1: rage on in the Holy Land, but we've also seen
- 19:36Speaker 1: an alarming rise in anti Semitism. This is why I'm
- 19:40Speaker 1: a proud partner of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
- 19:44Speaker 1: They have been building bridges between Christians and Jews for
- 19:48Speaker 1: over forty years, and since that time, they have been
- 19:51Speaker 1: on the ground helping the vulnerable and providing security for Jews.
- 19:55Speaker 1: In both Israel and Ukraine. Thank you for your support
- 19:58Speaker 1: during this critical time because so many of you have
- 20:01Speaker 1: stepped up and your gifts have helped the Fellowship provide
- 20:04Speaker 1: on only food and necessities, but also security for those
- 20:08Speaker 1: most in need. Standing with Israel and the Jewish people
- 20:11Speaker 1: has never meant so much. And if you've not gotten involved,
- 20:15Speaker 1: please take a look at what you can do to help.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Go to support IFCJ dot org. That's support IFCJ dot org.
- 20:25Speaker 1: To learn more and to make a gift now, that's
- 20:28Speaker 1: support IFCJ dot org. You can also call them to
- 20:31Speaker 1: give it eight to eight for eight eight IFCJ that's
- 20:36Speaker 1: eight a eight for eight eight IFCJ or four three
- 20:41Speaker 1: two five also uh something else. Center Thun walking up
- 20:47Speaker 1: to the podium. Here is what he had to say
- 20:49Speaker 1: a moment ago after becoming the Senate majority leader. Take
- 20:54Speaker 1: a listen.
- 20:55Speaker 9: It's a new day in the United States Senate, and
- 20:57Speaker 9: it's a new day in America. The American people have
- 21:00Speaker 9: loudly rejected the failed policies of the Biden Harris Schumer agenda,
- 21:07Speaker 9: and this Republican team is united.
- 21:09Speaker 3: We are on one team.
- 21:11Speaker 9: We are excited to reclaim the majority and to get
- 21:13Speaker 9: to work with our colleagues in the House to enact
- 21:16Speaker 9: President Trump's agenda. We have a mandate from the American people,
- 21:22Speaker 9: a mandate not only to clean up the mess left
- 21:25Speaker 9: by the high Biden Harris Schumer agenda, but also to
- 21:28Speaker 9: deliver on President Trump's priorities. We will make sure that
- 21:33Speaker 9: the President his team have the tools and support that
- 21:36Speaker 9: they need to enforce border security laws and to remove
- 21:39Speaker 9: the violent criminals who are wreaking havoc in every one
- 21:42Speaker 9: of our states. We will work to make America prosperous
- 21:46Speaker 9: again by streamlining the bureaucratic machine and overturning costly Biden
- 21:51Speaker 9: Harris regulations. And we will work to restore American energy dominance,
- 21:59Speaker 9: not just our energy security, but energy dominance, which will
- 22:03Speaker 9: lower costs and bolster our national security. I'm excited to
- 22:07Speaker 9: get to work with this team right away, and I
- 22:10Speaker 9: want to thank my colleagues who place their faith in
- 22:12Speaker 9: me to serve as leader, and to those who were
- 22:15Speaker 9: supporting another candidate, I promise to be a leader who
- 22:19Speaker 9: serves the entire Republican conference. We'll have an ambitious agenda
- 22:25Speaker 9: and we'll take each and every Republican working together.
- 22:29Speaker 1: To be successful, I think. And again he was asked
- 22:33Speaker 1: a question. Here is what he asked about how he's
- 22:37Speaker 1: going to run things. Listen carefully. Concerns about President Hump's
- 22:41Speaker 1: cabinet picks so.
- 22:42Speaker 9: Far, and what advice would you give him when it
- 22:44Speaker 9: comes to choosing nominies who will pass to confirmation. Well,
- 22:49Speaker 9: as you know, the Senate has an advice and consent
- 22:52Speaker 9: role in the Constitution, so we will do everything we
- 22:54Speaker 9: can to process his noms quickly, get them installed in
- 22:58Speaker 9: their positions so they can begin to implement.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Pretty clear, Thune was speaking directly to conservatives, to MAGA voters,
- 23:06Speaker 1: and to Donald Trump directly. There Now, the biggest fight
- 23:12Speaker 1: that Donald Trump is going to face is so far
- 23:17Speaker 1: and all of the people that he's announced is going
- 23:20Speaker 1: to be the Attorney general nomination of Matt Gates. This
- 23:26Speaker 1: happening late in the day yesterday, and it was an
- 23:30Speaker 1: immediate bombshell because nobody saw Gates's name on the shortlist
- 23:38Speaker 1: at all. The media losing it immediately. Former Democratic Congressman
- 23:44Speaker 1: saying on CNN, Gates's appointment is horrifying. My niece or
- 23:47Speaker 1: nephew are more qualified than he is. For example, they
- 23:52Speaker 1: wanted to derail this nomination. And what's also very interesting
- 23:56Speaker 1: is Gates is the only one that we've seen that
- 23:59Speaker 1: is actual. They resigned from their position in office to
- 24:04Speaker 1: then move forward with their nomination process. That's not normally
- 24:09Speaker 1: how this happens. Normally, you actually wait till you're confirmed
- 24:13Speaker 1: and then you resign for your position. Listen to this
- 24:16Speaker 1: on CNN as they are ready to go to war
- 24:18Speaker 1: over the Gates nominee is So we'll get to more.
- 24:21Speaker 10: On Pete Hexseth that's coming up. I want to start
- 24:24Speaker 10: with the shock waves developing from Matt Gates's nomination. If
- 24:28Speaker 10: you will to be the next Attorney General of the
- 24:30Speaker 10: United States, Mondarra Jones, you're a former US Congressman.
- 24:34Speaker 1: What do you think? What is your take on this pick?
- 24:37Speaker 1: To pick your former colleague.
- 24:40Speaker 11: Yeah, look, I started with Matt Gates on the House
- 24:42Speaker 11: Judiciary Committee. He is not only unqualified for the role
- 24:47Speaker 11: of Attorney General of the United States, but my niece
- 24:50Speaker 11: and nephew are each more qualified than he is because
- 24:53Speaker 11: they know right from wrong.
- 24:55Speaker 3: At least, this is horrifying.
- 24:57Speaker 11: I mean, we have now someone who could become the
- 24:59Speaker 11: nation top cup, the top law enforcement officer who has
- 25:03Speaker 11: been credibly accused of child of sex trafficking and who
- 25:08Speaker 11: was actively under House ethics investigation, a committee I used
- 25:11Speaker 11: to serve on when I was in the House, being
- 25:14Speaker 11: close to having tremendous authority. It's one of the most
- 25:17Speaker 11: important positions, and I don't think the American people understood
- 25:20Speaker 11: that that's what they were voting for when they elected
- 25:22Speaker 11: Donald Trump president.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Let me get Aaron Parini's thoughts on this as well.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Go ahead, Aeron, I don't think we Let me just
- 25:28Speaker 1: stop there and go back through this for a second.
- 25:31Speaker 1: This is the interesting part about this because what the
- 25:33Speaker 1: media seasoning on here is the fact that he has
- 25:36Speaker 1: resigned from Congress and then there's this ethics investigation going
- 25:41Speaker 1: on around him. Ned Ryan on Fox News saying something
- 25:45Speaker 1: very different than this about the Gates nomination, and this
- 25:49Speaker 1: is what he said, talking about how he believes that
- 25:53Speaker 1: Matt Gates was attacked and by a Department of Justice
- 25:57Speaker 1: that was weaponized to go after Trump allies, and that
- 26:00Speaker 1: he was one of them. It was a great time.
- 26:01Speaker 12: Today now, Ned the Gates nomination. I mean, we're going
- 26:08Speaker 12: to get to the hegseeth fury. There's some of that building.
- 26:13Speaker 12: But the Gates nomination takes official Washington fury to a
- 26:18Speaker 12: new level, and some conservatives are also criticizing it. I
- 26:21Speaker 12: have someone crawling on my floor by the way, right now,
- 26:23Speaker 12: this is live TV.
- 26:25Speaker 1: So what do you take away from this right now?
- 26:28Speaker 12: Where we are on the attorney general pick. It's a
- 26:31Speaker 12: critically important position, and of course President Trump was undermined,
- 26:35Speaker 12: he believes, by previous picks in that position, so he
- 26:39Speaker 12: wanted a loyalist there.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Oh.
- 26:41Speaker 8: I think it's a very clear signal from Donald Trump
- 26:44Speaker 8: that you will never weaponize the DOJ against the duly
- 26:47Speaker 8: elected sitting president of the United States. We're going to
- 26:51Speaker 8: have somebody in there who's a loyalist, who will fight
- 26:54Speaker 8: for Trump inside of the DOJ to make sure that
- 26:57Speaker 8: never happens. And I think another part to it, Laura,
- 27:00Speaker 8: is the idea of Matt Gates being Attorney General.
- 27:03Speaker 3: I'm not sure how many.
- 27:05Speaker 8: Of those career DOJ lawyers will be left by January
- 27:09Speaker 8: twentieth if Gates can get confirmed. But it was a
- 27:12Speaker 8: very clear signal from Donald Trump with Gates's nomination, you
- 27:16Speaker 8: will never weaponize the dj against me Again.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Congressman, I totally agree.
- 27:22Speaker 13: Look, I sent out a message earlier today, congratulations to
- 27:25Speaker 13: the Florida man, Matt Gates. But if you want to
- 27:27Speaker 13: clean out the Department of Justice, this is who you want.
- 27:30Speaker 13: Somebody who's not afraid to open up all of the
- 27:33Speaker 13: all the files were.
- 27:34Speaker 12: Going to lead. Where is what's going to lead if
- 27:36Speaker 12: he gets confirmed? Where where could we find the real
- 27:41Speaker 12: bureaucratic bodies buried here?
- 27:43Speaker 13: Fortunately, I think you're going to find a lot of
- 27:45Speaker 13: it in the political brass. I think the rank and file,
- 27:47Speaker 13: they just want to do their job for them. You know,
- 27:49Speaker 13: for the most part, we respect that. But the political
- 27:51Speaker 13: brass has been allowed to stay and linger for a
- 27:53Speaker 13: long time. I think that's where you're going to find
- 27:55Speaker 13: most of your rot. He's going to get to the
- 27:57Speaker 13: bottom of that. Have full trust in it.
- 27:58Speaker 12: Need Can he get confirmed?
- 28:02Speaker 1: I think this is going to be a test of
- 28:04Speaker 1: the new centement, he said. I think it's going to
- 28:07Speaker 1: be a test. That is the big question. There are
- 28:09Speaker 1: a lot of Republicans that are very quiet tonight over
- 28:12Speaker 1: this pick. As I am looking at their words, there's
- 28:16Speaker 1: a lot of people that have not come out and
- 28:18Speaker 1: endorsed Matt gets Or said he's going to be confirmed.
- 28:23Speaker 1: This is something that is And by the way, I
- 28:27Speaker 1: said this earlier and I'm going to I'm going to
- 28:29Speaker 1: say it again. I thought the Democrats are going to
- 28:31Speaker 1: dig in and really try to derail Pete Headseth at
- 28:35Speaker 1: the at the Department or at the Pentagon and the
- 28:39Speaker 1: Defense nominee. I don't think that's going to be the
- 28:42Speaker 1: case now. I think they're going to go all in
- 28:45Speaker 1: on Gates to do everything they can to stop him.
- 28:51Speaker 1: All right. I think this is one all in to stop,
- 28:58Speaker 1: no matter why, Matt Gates from being in this position
- 29:04Speaker 1: of power. I also believe that this is going to
- 29:09Speaker 1: be yes a test for Trump with a new Senate
- 29:12Speaker 1: majority leadership and the Senate majority leader electing Thune, are
- 29:17Speaker 1: they going to do what the President says or are
- 29:21Speaker 1: they going to say, hey, this is a stretch too
- 29:24Speaker 1: far for us because of some of the allegations against Gates. Now, again,
- 29:29Speaker 1: I'm giving you the lay of the land here. I'm
- 29:32Speaker 1: not going to come on here and tell you how
- 29:33Speaker 1: I think he's going to get confirmed, because I don't know,
- 29:36Speaker 1: all right, I don't know. But what I do know
- 29:40Speaker 1: is there's going to be a fight over this, all right.
- 29:44Speaker 1: It's going to be a fight.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Now.
- 29:46Speaker 1: There was also something else interesting that happened, and that
- 29:49Speaker 1: was Representative Thomas Massey on whether Gates will be confirmed
- 29:52Speaker 1: as the Attorney General by the Senate. He said, really simply, yeah,
- 29:58Speaker 1: it's called a recess appointment. Gop Massey saying, recess appointment.
- 30:04Speaker 1: When ass of Gates can get confirmed by the Senate,
- 30:07Speaker 1: he's the attorney general. Suck it up. Those were his words.
- 30:09Speaker 1: He was asked by a reporter today, listen carefully, he
- 30:17Speaker 1: turned general, suck it up. Recess appointment. When ass Gates
- 30:24Speaker 1: can get confirmed by the Senate, he's the attorney general.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Suck it up. Massy's words came after President like Trump
- 30:30Speaker 1: announced Gates had been selected to serve as the attorney
- 30:33Speaker 1: General under his incoming administration. Trump praising Gates as being
- 30:37Speaker 1: a deeply gifted and tenacious attorney who had been trained
- 30:41Speaker 1: at the William and Mary College of Law. He then
- 30:44Speaker 1: went on to talk about how they came after him
- 30:46Speaker 1: and attacked him, and so now this is the war
- 30:50Speaker 1: that Democrats were looking for to unite them after the election.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Number one. And then this is going to be a
- 30:57Speaker 1: test for Republicans to see if they say, hey, we're
- 31:01Speaker 1: going to defend the nominee or we're not going to
- 31:03Speaker 1: defend the NOMENI. Now the Democrats, they clearly shifted quickly
- 31:07Speaker 1: from Pete. But before I get to that, I want
- 31:09Speaker 1: to tell you about an incredible new tool for personal protection.
- 31:14Speaker 1: And if you have someone in your life that you
- 31:17Speaker 1: love that maybe just doesn't feel comfortable with the firearm yet.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Maybe you have a child that's eighteen or nineteen or
- 31:22Speaker 1: twenty but can't own a handgun yet. Well, maybe you
- 31:26Speaker 1: have a loved one that you would love to have
- 31:27Speaker 1: a less lethal option and something that puts more distance
- 31:31Speaker 1: between them and a threat than with traditional things like
- 31:34Speaker 1: pepper spray or a stun gun. Well that is where
- 31:37Speaker 1: berna comes in. I absolutely love my burn a less
- 31:43Speaker 1: lethal pistol launcher. Why because a berna can say my
- 31:46Speaker 1: life and the life of someone else at the same time.
- 31:49Speaker 1: It is an incredible compliment to owning a firearm. And
- 31:52Speaker 1: if you or your family is in a situation where
- 31:54Speaker 1: you feel threatened, you need to start with less lethal
- 31:57Speaker 1: whenever you can. Now, look, I've had to use a
- 32:00Speaker 1: firearm to protect and save my life. I had to
- 32:02Speaker 1: pull that trigger, and I can tell you that that
- 32:04Speaker 1: is not a moment that you're going to enjoy at all.
- 32:08Speaker 1: It saved my life, but then you have to deal
- 32:11Speaker 1: with the aftermath afterwards, and that's another reason why I'm
- 32:14Speaker 1: a huge advocate of less lethal now. Burna also has
- 32:18Speaker 1: a lot of perks because it's legal in all fifty states.
- 32:21Speaker 1: There are no permits or background checks needed. Now I
- 32:25Speaker 1: own this for myself. I've gotten them for my family members,
- 32:28Speaker 1: my wife, my mother in law, my mom, my sister,
- 32:30Speaker 1: they all have them. Now Burna is the answer, and
- 32:33Speaker 1: it's designed for easy use by all ages eighteen and older.
- 32:38Speaker 1: The burner launcher has powerful deterrence like pepper spray that
- 32:42Speaker 1: explode when the round hits the person, or tear gas.
- 32:46Speaker 1: They also have kinetic rounds with a sixty foot range
- 32:49Speaker 1: and it can incapacitate to attacker for up to forty minutes,
- 32:53Speaker 1: which is amazing. Government agencies and law enforce around the
- 32:56Speaker 1: country are using this, with more than a half million
- 32:58Speaker 1: units sold. So how do you check it out? How
- 33:00Speaker 1: do you see if it's right for you? Go to
- 33:02Speaker 1: burnaby r in a dot com slash ferguson and you're
- 33:07Speaker 1: gonna get ten percent off your purchase. That's burnaby r
- 33:11Speaker 1: inna dot com slash ferguson for ten percent off burna
- 33:15Speaker 1: byr in a dot com slash ferguson. Now, I'll give
- 33:19Speaker 1: you an example of how quick they pivoted because they
- 33:22Speaker 1: were targeting earlier in the day. Pete, that's like, hold on,
- 33:25Speaker 1: we got Gates now, Mani rajju Over at CNN on
- 33:29Speaker 1: the reporting that Republican senators quote aren't ready to engage
- 33:32Speaker 1: on Trump's Gates appointment. Listen the breaking news.
- 33:37Speaker 14: Blindsided. That's how many Senate Republicans feel by Donald Trump's
- 33:40Speaker 14: choice of Matt Gates to be Attorney General, Sources telling
- 33:43Speaker 14: CNN they were audible gasps on the Hill as the
- 33:45Speaker 14: announcement was popping up on people's phones they were hearing
- 33:48Speaker 14: from reporters. Here's how Republican Senator Susan Collins described how
- 33:51Speaker 14: she felt when she heard the news.
- 33:54Speaker 15: I was shocked that he has been nominated.
- 33:59Speaker 1: If the nomination proceeds, I'm sure that there will be
- 34:04Speaker 1: an extensive.
- 34:05Speaker 12: Background check by the FBI and public hearings and a
- 34:11Speaker 12: lot of questions.
- 34:11Speaker 14: As Kevin Kramer also raising the issues very explicitly of
- 34:16Speaker 14: the background check from the FBI making it clear many
- 34:19Speaker 14: perhaps feel that that will block it before they have
- 34:21Speaker 14: to deal with it. Manu Raju is out front live
- 34:23Speaker 14: on Capitol Hill, and Manu, I mean you have been
- 34:26Speaker 14: trying to talk to Republicans tonight there you were there
- 34:29Speaker 14: witnessing those audible gasps. What are they telling you?
- 34:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it's very clear, Aaron, that this is going to
- 34:35Speaker 4: be a rocky road to confirmation because a lot of
- 34:38Speaker 4: Republicans are concerned about a number of things that mad
- 34:41Speaker 4: Case has said or done.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Over the years' efforts to try to oust.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Kevin McCarthy's speaker, successful efforts and leading that charge, the
- 34:48Speaker 4: fact that he's facing a House Ethics investigation into sexual misconduct,
- 34:52Speaker 4: something that he denies, as well as his defense of
- 34:54Speaker 4: Donald Trump in the aftermath of January sixth.
- 34:57Speaker 3: And it really goes down the line. It does not
- 34:59Speaker 3: inlign with the.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Of the views of the Republican senators who have the votes.
- 35:02Speaker 3: To confirm him.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Now, that doesn't mean that everyone wants to talk about it.
- 35:06Speaker 4: In fact, I try to talk to a lot of
- 35:08Speaker 4: Republican senators tonight about Matt Gates being nominated to the post,
- 35:13Speaker 4: and they made clear they were not ready to engage.
- 35:18Speaker 3: I'm very I'm about Matt Gates.
- 35:25Speaker 11: Process.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I don't know yet I think about them.
- 35:28Speaker 4: You have any concerns about it, we'll see what do
- 35:31Speaker 4: you think Matt Gates is confirmable? You find out war
- 35:35Speaker 4: Senator Kennedy, what are you think of Matt Gates the
- 35:37Speaker 4: attorney general?
- 35:41Speaker 1: Thanksgiving? You can hear it. There a lot of Republicans
- 35:45Speaker 1: not necessarily want to say anything about Matt Gates now,
- 35:49Speaker 1: even on Fox News. Uh, and this is where this is.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm telling you this is going to be a big fight.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I want you to hear what Byron your set about
- 36:01Speaker 1: this nomination. This was on Fox.
- 36:04Speaker 16: There are, to her point, very few people in Washington, Byron,
- 36:08Speaker 16: who are going to take on the task of real
- 36:12Speaker 16: DOJ reform in the specific way that the President elect
- 36:17Speaker 16: wants it.
- 36:18Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 15: Well, what the Senator said can be true, and Matt
- 36:21Speaker 15: Gates can still be a terrible pick. And I do
- 36:24Speaker 15: think it was a terrible pick. And we don't know
- 36:27Speaker 15: the status of the House Ethics Committee investigation into alleged misconduct.
- 36:32Speaker 15: We do know the Justice Department investigated and didn't charge
- 36:36Speaker 15: him with anything, But the thing we really know for
- 36:39Speaker 15: a fact is that Matt Gates played a hugely aggressive
- 36:42Speaker 15: role in nearly destroying the House, the Republican Party in
- 36:46Speaker 15: the House of Representatives, and with based mostly on a
- 36:50Speaker 15: personal vendetta against Kevin McCarthy, who was then the Speaker
- 36:54Speaker 15: of the House. And I mean, he's very lucky that
- 36:58Speaker 15: the House has no role in confirmations because this guy said,
- 37:03Speaker 15: he's got enemies all over the place, and the reason
- 37:06Speaker 15: he has those enemies was that the things he did
- 37:08Speaker 15: were so damaging for no good reason.
- 37:12Speaker 1: That was on Fox. Now you listen to that, and
- 37:15Speaker 1: I'm going to leave you with one final thought about this,
- 37:18Speaker 1: and this is going to be a fight. It's going
- 37:20Speaker 1: to be a war. This is going to be intense.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Coming out after that. On Hannity, Lindsey Graham, who will
- 37:28Speaker 1: get a vote on this, said this about Gates.
- 37:34Speaker 6: After all that Donald Trump has been through and the
- 37:37Speaker 6: weaponization of our DOJ and it's so sad to me
- 37:43Speaker 6: that great agencies like the FBI and the CIA have
- 37:48Speaker 6: been so politicized.
- 37:49Speaker 1: The way they've been.
- 37:50Speaker 6: Anybody that is not in favor of restoring those agencies
- 37:55Speaker 6: and those to their former greatness and those apartments to
- 38:00Speaker 6: their former greatness to me, would be disqualified. Let's get
- 38:05Speaker 6: to the issue, and that is the hissteria on the
- 38:09Speaker 6: left about back Gates and Matt has been in the
- 38:12Speaker 6: forefront with Jim Jordan of fighting against weaponization.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Does he not deserve a chance to be heard?
- 38:19Speaker 17: Well, not only does he deserve a chance to be heard.
- 38:22Speaker 17: Every president deserves a chance to pick their cabinet.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Elections do matter.
- 38:29Speaker 17: When I say elections have consequences and I vote for
- 38:33Speaker 17: Democratic nominees that I would not have chosen, I am
- 38:37Speaker 17: some kind of great statesman. When I apply that same
- 38:40Speaker 17: standard to a Republican president, I'm somehow a lackey.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I am telling you exactly what I'm going to do.
- 38:47Speaker 17: I did it for Bush, I did it for Obama,
- 38:49Speaker 17: I did it for Biden, and I'm going to do
- 38:51Speaker 17: it for President Trump. He won the election. He deserves
- 38:55Speaker 17: a chance to pick his cabinet. I am predisposed to
- 39:00Speaker 17: allow him to do that. I think Matt Matt Gates
- 39:04Speaker 17: is very bright. I think he's qualified. He'll have a
- 39:07Speaker 17: hearing and he'll have some tough questions to answer. But
- 39:10Speaker 17: to every Republican, please follow a process to give President
- 39:15Speaker 17: Trump the ability to pick the people he thinks can
- 39:18Speaker 17: do the job and give Matt a chance.
- 39:21Speaker 1: And you have a history of that. You do it
- 39:24Speaker 1: for everybody. I do it for everybody.
- 39:26Speaker 6: And in fairness to you, you are being consistent. And
- 39:30Speaker 6: I wish Democrats would be as consistent as you are.
- 39:32Speaker 3: But they're not going to be.
- 39:34Speaker 1: It's clear Lindsey is taking a different approach. This is
- 39:38Speaker 1: going to be the nomination they wanted to derail because
- 39:40Speaker 1: it's such an important post. They want this to be
- 39:44Speaker 1: a fight where he has a big loss. This is
- 39:49Speaker 1: all about wanting to make sure that they get a
- 39:54Speaker 1: head on a stick politically of somebody that Donald Trump nominated.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Be ready for this, because if they get momentum and
- 40:04Speaker 1: they can get Gates gone, they're gonna move immediately to
- 40:07Speaker 1: Pete and they're gonna move down the line. And Democrats
- 40:11Speaker 1: are gonna use this as a rallying cry. And I'm
- 40:13Speaker 1: letting you know right now this is gonna end up
- 40:15Speaker 1: being a serious fight. Don't forget. Shared this podcast with
- 40:20Speaker 1: your family and friends, shared on social media wherever you are,
- 40:23Speaker 1: and I'll see you back here tomorrow.
