- 0:00Speaker 1: We have just learned that the FBI Detroit held an
- 0:04Speaker 1: active shooter training drill situation six weeks ago. Okay, six
- 0:10Speaker 1: weeks ago. They held an active shooter training session or
- 0:14Speaker 1: drill six weeks ago at this temple.

- 0:30Speaker 3: and an ICEIS supporter opening fire at a US university.
- 0:34Speaker 3: The good news is, brave men and women stop that
- 0:37Speaker 3: killer before more lives were lost. We have the heroes,
- 0:41Speaker 3: the FBI investigation, the Trump Administration's response. Having just come
- 0:47Speaker 3: back from Israel, I want to paint you a picture.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It's midnight, sirens are blaring and you have only seconds
- 0:54Speaker 3: to grab your child and run. Now imagine your elderly.

- 1:03Speaker 3: and after all of that, you end up in a
- 1:04Speaker 3: bomb shelter for hours, even days, because you can't make
- 1:08Speaker 3: the trek again. This is what's happening across Israel as
- 1:13Speaker 3: Operation Epic fury continues. Children are being traumatized, families are
- 1:18Speaker 3: just exhausted, and homes have been destroyed. And that's why
- 1:22Speaker 3: the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is there on
- 1:26Speaker 3: the ground, bringing food, emergency equipment, care for those children,
- 1:31Speaker 3: and help for the elderly, and supplying the bomb shelters
- 1:35Speaker 3: and medical centers for critically needed essentials. If you've ever
- 1:39Speaker 3: wondered what it looks like to stand for Israel and
- 1:41Speaker 3: stand for good against evil, this is it. And that's
- 1:45Speaker 3: why I'm asking to now please act, give forty five

- 2:11Speaker 3: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Let's start today with something that should shake every American,
- 2:20Speaker 3: but it should also remind us of something else, the
- 2:23Speaker 3: courage of ordinary Americans who refuse to let evil win.
- 2:28Speaker 3: In just the last several days, the United States has
- 2:30Speaker 3: seen multiple terrorist attacks or acts of terror targeting Americans
- 2:36Speaker 3: in classrooms, in houses of worship, and public spaces. But
- 2:41Speaker 3: in the middle of that evil, there have been heroes
- 2:44Speaker 3: that have emerged, and their actions have likely saved the
- 2:48Speaker 3: lives of dozens and dozens of other Americans that would
- 2:53Speaker 3: have been killed otherwise. Let's start with the Virginia terror attack,
- 2:58Speaker 3: the most shocking attack happening at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Authority say the suspect was Mohammed, a former member of
- 3:07Speaker 3: the Virginia National Guard and the most important part of
- 3:11Speaker 3: the story, a convicted supporter of ISIS who had previously
- 3:15Speaker 3: served time in federal prison for trying to assist the
- 3:18Speaker 3: terrorist organization. On the morning of March twelfth, Muhammad walked
- 3:24Speaker 3: into a classroom building on campus and began asking a
- 3:28Speaker 3: chilling question, is this the ROTC class? Moments later, he
- 3:34Speaker 3: opened fire. Witnesses say the gunman shouted a la akbar
- 3:39Speaker 3: as he began shooting. One person was killed, a respected
- 3:43Speaker 3: retired military officer and ROTC leader, Lieutenant Colonel Brandon Shah.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Two ROTC cadets were also shot and wounded as well.
- 3:55Speaker 3: For a moment, it looked like the beginning of a
- 3:57Speaker 3: mass couzie terrorist attack on a college camp. But that's
- 4:01Speaker 3: when something incredible happened. The hero who stopped him stepped
- 4:05Speaker 3: up several ROTC cadets, young Americans training to serve their country.
- 4:12Speaker 3: They refused to run. Instead, they ran towards the gunfire.
- 4:17Speaker 3: The students tackled and subdued the attacker, killing him before
- 4:21Speaker 3: he could continue the shooting. Law enforcement officials say their
- 4:25Speaker 3: actions prevented far greater carnage. This is how the FBI
- 4:29Speaker 3: described it when they were asked about this shooting earlier.
- 4:33Speaker 4: There were students that were in that room that subdued
- 4:37Speaker 4: him and rendered.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Him no longer alive.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I don't know else to say it, but they basically
- 4:44Speaker 4: agreeable to terminate the threat.
- 4:47Speaker 1: For he was not shot.
- 4:48Speaker 4: He was not shot.
- 4:49Speaker 3: He shot three people.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Correct, We have information that he shot three people.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I want you to think about that for just a moment.
- 4:57Speaker 3: These were not active duty soldiers. They were students, young
- 5:02Speaker 3: men and women, sitting in a classroom who, in a
- 5:05Speaker 3: split second, made the decision to risk their own lives
- 5:09Speaker 3: to save the lives of others. And not only did
- 5:12Speaker 3: they do it, they succeeded. The FBI confirming the attack
- 5:17Speaker 3: is being investigated as an act of terrorism tied to
- 5:20Speaker 3: ISIS support as well. But the story doesn't end there,
- 5:24Speaker 3: because on the very same day, another attack unfolded hundreds
- 5:28Speaker 3: of miles away, this time at a Michigan synagogue in
- 5:33Speaker 3: West Bloomfield, Michigan. An attacker targeted Temple Israel, one of
- 5:38Speaker 3: the largest synagogues in the entire United States of America.
- 5:42Speaker 3: The suspect drove a vehicle directly into the building before
- 5:46Speaker 3: opening fire. Inside the synagogue complex at the time were
- 5:51Speaker 3: more than a one hundred and forty children attending the
- 5:55Speaker 3: facility's preschool program. Let that sink in this jewel wanted
- 6:00Speaker 3: to kill children, more than one hundred of them. Now
- 6:04Speaker 3: at the attacker had gotten inside that building fully armed,
- 6:07Speaker 3: the outcome could have been catastrophic, But again heroes, they
- 6:13Speaker 3: stepped in. Security personnel at the synagogue confront the attacker
- 6:18Speaker 3: immediately and neutralized the threat. The suspect was killed before
- 6:22Speaker 3: he could reach the children. Officials later confirmed that the
- 6:27Speaker 3: security guard struck by the vehicle was injured but survived. Meanwhile,
- 6:33Speaker 3: firefighters in law enforcement rushed to contain a fire that
- 6:36Speaker 3: broke out at the scene as well over thirty first
- 6:40Speaker 3: responders were treated for smoke in elation during that response.
- 6:44Speaker 3: But the most important detail again, every single child was
- 6:49Speaker 3: safely evacuated because of the heroes. The pattern authorities are
- 6:54Speaker 3: watching is very real. Now there's a bigger concern, as
- 6:58Speaker 3: investigators say, these attacks come amid rising tensions globally and
- 7:02Speaker 3: an increase in extremist threats inside the United States. Also
- 7:07Speaker 3: known as sleeper cells. Unlike organized terror cells, these individuals
- 7:12Speaker 3: can radicalize also online and act alone with little warning,
- 7:17Speaker 3: and that appears to be exactly what is happening here now.
- 7:21Speaker 3: The FBI's response has been very clear. The FBI quickly
- 7:25Speaker 3: launched terrorism investigations into these attacks. In the Virginia case,
- 7:30Speaker 3: SBI officials confirm they are treating the university shooting as
- 7:34Speaker 3: a terrorism case that is linked to prior extremist activity
- 7:39Speaker 3: by that suspect. Here is more of what the FBI
- 7:42Speaker 3: had to say about the Old Dominion shooting.
- 7:46Speaker 4: The FBI is now the lead investigative agency investigating this
- 7:50Speaker 4: as an act of terrorism. The shooter has been identified
- 7:54Speaker 4: as Mohammed Baylor Jallo. In twenty sixteen, Jello was arrested
- 8:01Speaker 4: and pled guilty for attempting to provide material support to
- 8:05Speaker 4: Isle now known as Isis.
- 8:09Speaker 3: This was an individual that had already been involved in
- 8:12Speaker 3: terrorist activities and had gone to prison for it. The
- 8:16Speaker 3: FBI Director Cash Pattel, saying it clearly FBI personnel are
- 8:20Speaker 3: providing assistance and working with local authorities. Responding to the
- 8:24Speaker 3: shooting at Old Dominion University, he said, we will obviously
- 8:27Speaker 3: keep you updated on exactly what is going to happen
- 8:30Speaker 3: moving forward. Now, agents, we also now have been told
- 8:33Speaker 3: to reviewing the government's communications, digital devices and contacts determined
- 8:39Speaker 3: whether he acted alone or had outside influence. Meanwhile, the
- 8:43Speaker 3: FBI is also investigating the Syenegogue attack in coordinating with
- 8:47Speaker 3: local law enforcement across the country to increase security around
- 8:52Speaker 3: religious institutions as well as public gatherings. We actually know
- 8:58Speaker 3: more now about that Synegogue. In fact, they had just done,
- 9:02Speaker 3: as they described it, dry runs on this exact location
- 9:07Speaker 3: training for this being a real possibility. I want you
- 9:11Speaker 3: to hear what they had to say about that active
- 9:13Speaker 3: shooting training that took place recently at Temple Israel.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Take a listen and is that we have just learned
- 9:22Speaker 1: that the FBI Detroit held an active shooter training drill situation,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I should say, yeah, okay, a drill, a training drill
- 9:32Speaker 1: just six months ago at this temple. Oh, six weeks ago. Okay,
- 9:37Speaker 1: six weeks ago. They held an active shooter training session
- 9:42Speaker 1: or drill six weeks ago at this temple.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Federal authorities are also warning now local police nationwide to
- 9:49Speaker 3: remain vigilant amid global tensions that could inspire additional attacks.
- 9:54Speaker 3: And then we come to Donald Trump and the White
- 9:56Speaker 3: House's response to all of this. The White House issued
- 10:00Speaker 3: a statement condemning the attacks and praising the Americans who
- 10:03Speaker 3: stopped them. President Donald Trump called the ROTC Cadets true
- 10:08Speaker 3: American heroes who acted with extraordinary bravery. The administration also
- 10:14Speaker 3: expressed condolences to the family of Lieutenant Colonel Shaw, honoring
- 10:18Speaker 3: his decades at military service. Officials emphasize that the United
- 10:23Speaker 3: States will continue to pursue terrorists both overseas and domestically.
- 10:28Speaker 3: The message from the administration is clear, America will not
- 10:32Speaker 3: be intimidated by terrorists or terrorism. Other leaders are also
- 10:38Speaker 3: speaking out. Senior officials across the Trump administration responding, including
- 10:42Speaker 3: the Attorney General's Office, pledging to pursue anyone connected to
- 10:47Speaker 3: these attacks with a full force of federal law. State
- 10:50Speaker 3: leaders echoed the same message, saying law enforcement agencies nationwide
- 10:55Speaker 3: are now increasing security around universities, religious institutions, and large
- 11:00Speaker 3: public events. The bigger takeaway is this there are two
- 11:04Speaker 3: big stories. The first is about terror, radicalies extremists attempting
- 11:10Speaker 3: to bring violence into American communities. And the second story
- 11:14Speaker 3: is the one that deserves just as much attention, and
- 11:17Speaker 3: that one is about courage and the heroes involved. The
- 11:21Speaker 3: ROTC Cadets who stopped to terrace with their bare hands
- 11:25Speaker 3: taking him out, literally killing him. They are heroes that
- 11:29Speaker 3: should be honored, in my opinion, at the White House.
- 11:32Speaker 3: The security guards who confront a Guman before he could
- 11:34Speaker 3: reach children at the synagogue are also the other heroes
- 11:38Speaker 3: that I believe should also become heroes in a way
- 11:42Speaker 3: that America can see them in some sort of ceremony
- 11:45Speaker 3: at the White House as well. And then the first
- 11:48Speaker 3: responders who rushed into a burning building to protect those
- 11:52Speaker 3: children and others. These are the people who remind us
- 11:55Speaker 3: what America looks like when evil shows up, and they
- 11:59Speaker 3: prove time and time again that sometimes terras well, they
- 12:03Speaker 3: may hit, but we always remember who is the real
- 12:07Speaker 3: threat and who we're trying to help. President of the
- 12:10Speaker 3: United States of America making it very clear he will
- 12:13Speaker 3: not back down and America will not be intimidated by
- 12:17Speaker 3: these terrasts. What we will do is hunt them down
- 12:20Speaker 3: and take them out wherever they are in the world.
