- 0:19Speaker 1: true good to the housing to move to other for
- 0:26Speaker 1: sto by to handle hobby. I don't join yeah, well
- 0:43Speaker 1: by medio joining me. Honey, say you gotta turn yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 1: do you you gotta turn to turnhout the turn to
- 1:42Speaker 1: you love? You got to turn out to turn water
- 1:47Speaker 1: watery comy, come on your things at it? Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: i's your well, good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one and on it. Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Okay. I want to share
- 2:16Speaker 1: something with you that I had to come to the
- 2:18Speaker 1: realization one time and even in the reinvention of myself
- 2:22Speaker 1: right now, I've had to come to that and I
- 2:24Speaker 1: want to share it with you today. Give it to you.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I want to tell you about something that a lot
- 2:30Speaker 1: of people do in their life and I want you
- 2:33Speaker 1: to be aware of it. Here it is, don't get
- 2:37Speaker 1: stuck on yourself. You could be wrong, you know I said,
- 2:47Speaker 1: don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong. You know.
- 2:55Speaker 1: The reason I'm saying this is because people have a
- 3:01Speaker 1: tendency to once they make a decision about something, or
- 3:05Speaker 1: once they decide to go a certain path, they go
- 3:09Speaker 1: against all everything, anything anybody says, anything anybody might do,
- 3:16Speaker 1: any other ruling they may come across. They shun advice,
- 3:23Speaker 1: they don't listen to counsel. They just I made the decision,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You could be wrong, you know. Now here's a sure
- 3:41Speaker 1: fire way to tell if you're wrong. If you don't
- 3:47Speaker 1: see any movement in the direction you've chosen, if you
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't see anything going right in that decison as you
- 4:01Speaker 1: if you feel as though you're in a rupt if
- 4:06Speaker 1: the wall you're climbing seems so andsmoudible that you ain't
- 4:12Speaker 1: even moving an inch, and every time you turn around
- 4:15Speaker 1: you keep getting knocked by down, knocked back down. Don't
- 4:18Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself. You know you could be wrong,
- 4:21Speaker 1: you know. See, that's why it's important for people to
- 4:26Speaker 1: always be open to the reinvention of yourself. You know,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you cannot be afraid to reinvent yourself. In other words,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you can't be afraid to change change is necessary when
- 4:42Speaker 1: it comes to growth. There is no growth without change.
- 4:48Speaker 1: You cannot grow and never change. I'm sorry, it's it's
- 4:53Speaker 1: like from the time you're born you are constantly growing.
- 4:56Speaker 1: But in that growth, have you not noticed you have
- 4:59Speaker 1: con simply changed. The more you know, oh, listen to this.
- 5:05Speaker 1: The more you know, the older you look. Sorry, sorry,
- 5:13Speaker 1: but there is no growth without change. And I have
- 5:20Speaker 1: found this to be true. And the case. The more
- 5:24Speaker 1: you know, the older you look. Now you can do
- 5:30Speaker 1: drugs and and and and and and kill both them
- 5:33Speaker 1: theories because you can do drugs and not know nothing
- 5:37Speaker 1: and look real old. So you know there's a way
- 5:40Speaker 1: around it. But I'm talking about if you're spending your
- 5:42Speaker 1: life trying to make something out yourself, that is no
- 5:46Speaker 1: growth without change. You cannot be afraid to reinvent yourself.
- 5:52Speaker 1: So don't get stuck on yourself because you could be wrong.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You know, if you're heading in the direction it ain't
- 5:58Speaker 1: nothing going right in life? Could it be the wrong direction?
- 6:03Speaker 1: If you're climbing and you're making no headway, could it
- 6:06Speaker 1: be the wrong direction? Could you have possibly made the
- 6:11Speaker 1: wrong choice. Don't get stuck on yourself because you haven't
- 6:14Speaker 1: made the wrong stuff. It's okay to forgive yourself. It's
- 6:17Speaker 1: okay to let yourself off the hook. It's even smarter
- 6:21Speaker 1: sometimes to admit that you were wrong. You ever met
- 6:23Speaker 1: somebody ain't ever wrong you Have you ever met somebody
- 6:27Speaker 1: you talked to? They ain't ever wrong about nothing. Man.
- 6:31Speaker 1: They just it's their way or the highway. It's this
- 6:34Speaker 1: is my way, this is the I know people like that,
- 6:37Speaker 1: stuck on them powered trips and all like that. You
- 6:39Speaker 1: know what I had to learn how to do. I
- 6:41Speaker 1: had to learn how to let them go on them
- 6:43Speaker 1: power trips. But listen to this. Though you're not taking
- 6:46Speaker 1: me on that trip. Though you're going on that trip
- 6:48Speaker 1: by yourself, I'm going in the right direction. I've decided
- 6:53Speaker 1: to stop the way. Okay, listen to this person. This person.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I decided to stop doing business the way I was
- 7:01Speaker 1: doing business. I decided to stop to allow business being
- 7:06Speaker 1: done around me the way business was being done around me.
- 7:10Speaker 1: You know what, you know the best decision I made
- 7:13Speaker 1: was to allow for God to have some say so
- 7:19Speaker 1: and to offer me his direction. I have found him
- 7:23Speaker 1: to be a better driver than anyone else I know.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I have found him to know more about the man
- 7:31Speaker 1: he made than anybody else who's merely associating with me.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I have found it to be a fact that my
- 7:39Speaker 1: maker knows more about the vehicle he created than does
- 7:44Speaker 1: anybody else. If you if your Chevy break, don't you
- 7:47Speaker 1: take it to Chevy, You don't take your Forward when
- 7:51Speaker 1: it breaks down to a Toyota dealership. They're not gonna
- 7:55Speaker 1: know everything that the Ford dealership would know about the vehicle.
- 7:58Speaker 1: You know why because and not the maker of it.
- 8:02Speaker 1: So now why are you living? You're letting your life
- 8:05Speaker 1: being led, controlled and guided by somebody other than your maker.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm just asking you to let's all take a common
- 8:15Speaker 1: sense look at this. So if going to your maker
- 8:18Speaker 1: is the best way, the best decision I made in
- 8:20Speaker 1: my business was take over my brand myself and to
- 8:25Speaker 1: allow the maker of this brand see without God, I'm
- 8:29Speaker 1: none of this. I'm none of this. I want you
- 8:31Speaker 1: to clearly understand I ain't none of this without him.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I wish I could have the guts to reach back
- 8:38Speaker 1: there and pat myself on the back for what I've
- 8:41Speaker 1: accomplished in my life. I wish I had the guts,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I wish the nerve of me because I know for
- 8:48Speaker 1: or fact that there is no way that I could
- 8:51Speaker 1: have manufactured the life that I have. I could not
- 8:54Speaker 1: even have thought of it. It's no way I could
- 8:57Speaker 1: have told you that this was the route I was
- 9:00Speaker 1: gonna take and this is the outcome because of it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I had no idea, no clue. The one thing I had, though,
- 9:07Speaker 1: was an unshakable faith in God. I had an un
- 9:12Speaker 1: and I just kept believing in him. I kept believing
- 9:17Speaker 1: that he had something more for me. And then when
- 9:20Speaker 1: I touched base with him and asked him to show
- 9:22Speaker 1: me what it is what he had for me, tada,
- 9:25Speaker 1: the magic show began. Because you know what he did.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He took all my natural abilities that he had given
- 9:32Speaker 1: to me, this gift that he gave me, that that
- 9:35Speaker 1: he poured into me at birth, that same gift that
- 9:38Speaker 1: he poured into you at birth. The moment you go
- 9:41Speaker 1: to him and let him show you that gift, and
- 9:44Speaker 1: then guess what. Once he takes what he naturally put
- 9:48Speaker 1: in you and put his super his superpowers on top
- 9:52Speaker 1: of that, then you have some supernatural things going on
- 9:55Speaker 1: in your life and you may not be feeling me.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm cool with that, but I didn't have some supernatural
- 10:03Speaker 1: things happened to me. Every day I wake up, some
- 10:07Speaker 1: supernatural the the man, the rewards of my life, the
- 10:11Speaker 1: awards of my life, the accomplishments, the how I'm working now,
- 10:15Speaker 1: how I manage it all, all that ain't none but God.
- 10:19Speaker 1: That ain't nothing but God. You can't even explain this
- 10:21Speaker 1: schedule to people. Sometimes when people ask me, Steve, how
- 10:24Speaker 1: do you do it? I go, well, that's what I
- 10:26Speaker 1: manage my time. And then at the end of when
- 10:28Speaker 1: I get through, I said, hey, man, you know what
- 10:29Speaker 1: I need to tell y'all. For real? It's God. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: don't really know, but I'm letting him manage me. So
- 10:35Speaker 1: he handling it. He ain't gonna put no more on
- 10:37Speaker 1: me than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all, don't
- 10:39Speaker 1: be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't get
- 10:43Speaker 1: stuck on yourself because you could be wrong. You know,
- 10:48Speaker 1: you absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie this
- 10:52Speaker 1: to your gift, you will be struggling the rest of
- 10:56Speaker 1: your life. Ladies and gentlemen, here we are. It is
- 11:03Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to Steve Harvey.

- 12:11Speaker 1: a little dude, all or nothing, going after him, things
- 12:15Speaker 1: be different going after people bigger than him. We have
- 12:19Speaker 1: all of Jacksonville, Florida. He got a social media falling.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I ain't in this. I'm going after him. You're gonna
- 12:28Speaker 1: be on all kinds of paget And I just say this,
- 12:33Speaker 1: y'all ain't even heard the song yet. You don't know
- 12:36Speaker 1: what I'm doing. You know what the world said you
- 12:38Speaker 1: was going after him. I said, I'm going after the
- 12:40Speaker 1: song song and we heard, No, that's gonna be good,
- 12:46Speaker 1: good track. Ain't nobody gonna be mad? I ain't mad.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Come on, do get mad? What you're gonna do. I'm

- 13:08Speaker 1: It ain't that type of song then, Judge. Yeah, we
- 13:22Speaker 1: love you, man, we love you so huge. Man. Yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 1: I've actually wanted to sing it the whole damn song.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It's its firing to really. Yeah, it makes you think
- 13:36Speaker 1: live your best life. Catching the football on his twitter,
- 13:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the one that spends around all the way

- 13:49Speaker 1: just used to you going, yeah, I used to could
- 13:52Speaker 1: do that or something like that. I know we had
- 13:54Speaker 1: another bet. I ain't never done it. I ain't lie
- 13:57Speaker 1: about that. I ain't never done it. I ain't never
- 13:59Speaker 1: turned around and did a three sixty and cult the ball.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Oh women, wowow pop team team Tommy. You know I'm
- 14:11Speaker 1: gonna stop all these popkins. On the team time. We're
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to put a stop. All right, listen, guys,
- 14:22Speaker 1: well you guys debate about that. Coming up next, the
- 14:25Speaker 1: President gives in too public pressure about the White House
- 14:29Speaker 1: half staff flag to honor Senator John McCain and j
- 14:33Speaker 1: Anthony Brown is here with old man moments. You don't
- 14:38Speaker 1: want to miss this. Okay, we'll be back in after
- 14:42Speaker 1: who else you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. President
- 14:47Speaker 1: Donald Trump initially tweeted condolences for John McCain's family Senator
- 14:52Speaker 1: John mccainnas should say, but did not praise the senator specifically.
- 14:57Speaker 1: On Monday afternoon, he issued a statement saying, despite our
- 15:00Speaker 1: differences on policy and politics, I respect Senator John McCain's
- 15:04Speaker 1: service to our country. Earlier yesterday, the White House flag
- 15:07Speaker 1: had returned to its regular position, even as other flags
- 15:11Speaker 1: around Washington, including the US Capital, remained in the half
- 15:16Speaker 1: staff morning position. But on Monday afternoon, after public pressure,
- 15:21Speaker 1: the White House once again lowered the flag to have staff,
- 15:25Speaker 1: and Donald Trump, in his statement said he signed a
- 15:27Speaker 1: proclamation to fly the frag of the United States at
- 15:31Speaker 1: half staff until the day of his interments, so that
- 15:35Speaker 1: is good news. The president had a change of heart
- 15:38Speaker 1: today of what interment until he gets buried, until they
- 15:43Speaker 1: until but he returned their back. Yeah, it was half
- 15:48Speaker 1: mass for two days and then today it was back
- 15:51Speaker 1: at you know, its regular position. Then public pressure people,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I mean it was mounting, Steve. People were very upset
- 15:57Speaker 1: about that because John McCain meant a lot to so
- 16:01Speaker 1: many people. Um, he was one of the ones. Yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 1: he was one of the ones that was really into
- 16:06Speaker 1: bipartisanship and he stood for that, so you know, people
- 16:10Speaker 1: like him Democratic. Were they blaming Trump for that? Yeah,
- 16:14Speaker 1: for the for the flag, yes, because all the government
- 16:17Speaker 1: buildings happen half staff, except that the government building to
- 16:23Speaker 1: doing the White House, so that petty, he is too much. Yeah,
- 16:31Speaker 1: two years were blaming him. What we talk about. But
- 16:34Speaker 1: but it does say a lot for public pressure though,
- 16:37Speaker 1: which means you know our votes count as well, you know,
- 16:41Speaker 1: translate that into votes public pressure. If you get a conference,
- 16:45Speaker 1: he couldn't come up with one nice thing to say.
- 16:49Speaker 1: The reporter kept pressing, pressing him and asking him a question.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Anything you want to say about Senator McCain's or anything. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 1: So anyway, just another example with the flag thing. You
- 16:59Speaker 1: know of the animosity that the President has maintained for
- 17:02Speaker 1: Senator McCain even after the man is dead and gone.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Now you know, show some responsa, won't you do? Yeah?
- 17:09Speaker 1: All right, that's enough raising back up. Yeah, yes, the
- 17:20Speaker 1: public pressure can make the president do that. Imagine what
- 17:22Speaker 1: we could do with our votes, you know, just you know,
- 17:25Speaker 1: get out and vote. Midterms are coming. They are deaf. Yes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: all right, So let's switch gears here now, folks, it
- 17:33Speaker 1: is time for something funny. J You want to explain
- 17:36Speaker 1: this old man old man moments. Now, they're not all connected,
- 17:41Speaker 1: the old man, but most of them are, alright, his one.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You talk to someone for a long time at a party,
- 17:48Speaker 1: you separate and you don't know who the hell they are.
- 17:53Speaker 1: You've been talking to him for a long time, just
- 17:55Speaker 1: like alone, damn man, the old man. Yeah, I'm doing that.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Since our nineteen we've been talking to people for a
- 18:04Speaker 1: little time. Talking to a dude that scratch club up
- 18:07Speaker 1: one night for about an hour, laughing at the ball
- 18:11Speaker 1: start closing, have a damn clue what her name was,
- 18:16Speaker 1: and could barely remember where I saw him. I can't
- 18:20Speaker 1: say you're drunk because you don't drink that damn sure,
- 18:23Speaker 1: wasn't it all right? This wasn't real. You put your
- 18:27Speaker 1: phone in the refrigerator and forget you put it in
- 18:30Speaker 1: there for two damn days. Frozen, frozen, not fron the phone. Yeah,
- 18:39Speaker 1: all right, I'm the only one you all right, just
- 18:42Speaker 1: saying only me. You called somebody and forget what you
- 18:45Speaker 1: call about. It's only me? Yea. Now when you want
- 18:52Speaker 1: you to kitchen from your bedroom, uhh, and just walk
- 18:56Speaker 1: around the kitchen saying I don't know why the hell
- 19:01Speaker 1: won't I don't done this several times? Set in the movie,
- 19:07Speaker 1: the wrong damn movie for about twenty minutes for you
- 19:11Speaker 1: figure out just sain't the movie? Yeah? Hey, when is
- 19:22Speaker 1: Denzel coming on the screen? Man? All these trailers? When
- 19:29Speaker 1: is Dendrel coming on in? Finding ned? Babe? You haven't
- 19:36Speaker 1: done this thing right here, been on your phone talking
- 19:40Speaker 1: walking around. I have told to do hold on, hold on.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I got to go back in the house, man, I
- 19:46Speaker 1: can't find my damn phone. Yeah, yea, and not only me?
- 19:54Speaker 1: All right. If you got one of those cars that
- 19:56Speaker 1: start by itself, you know, keyless start, Oh yeah, yes,
- 20:00Speaker 1: start your car up, Start your car up. You go
- 20:03Speaker 1: to the mall. Go in the mall, come out. Your
- 20:08Speaker 1: car is still running. All that that just burns you.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Look in your car is still there, but you don't
- 20:19Speaker 1: yeh yeah, yeah, I don't know who you put. I
- 20:22Speaker 1: just scary. You called someone by mistake. But the person
- 20:26Speaker 1: you called by mistake because you've had a long conversation
- 20:29Speaker 1: has the same damn name or the person you thought
- 20:33Speaker 1: you call Steve Steve. Let me tell you wait, wait,
- 20:42Speaker 1: wait this Steve Miller or Steve Harker. This is this
- 20:48Speaker 1: is my friend brother, Steve Miller. Who I got one
- 20:55Speaker 1: to add to that though. If you haven't text somebody
- 20:58Speaker 1: and you've been talking about that the person between you,
- 21:01Speaker 1: text that person, girl. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's awful. I
- 21:06Speaker 1: don't have not to do with age. I got one
- 21:09Speaker 1: quick come on. You ever not want to take your
- 21:13Speaker 1: You ever not want to give your kids a ride
- 21:15Speaker 1: to school because you're up to school thirty all right?
- 21:26Speaker 1: Coming up next it is run that Frank back with
- 21:28Speaker 1: the King of Frank's nephew tom Me. Right after this,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 21:35Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, the city of Detroit
- 21:38Speaker 1: will honor the Queen of Saul Aretha Franklin this week
- 21:41Speaker 1: and Peter wants the Queen of Soul for coats. Uh
- 21:45Speaker 1: what but right now the nephew is here. We gotta
- 21:49Speaker 1: talk about that. One nephew is here to make us laugh.
- 21:51Speaker 1: It's time to run that frank back. What you got Nev?
- 21:54Speaker 1: Will you know? You know I want to hear him whistom.
- 21:57Speaker 1: You know that's gonna be nice and red in this Steve,
- 22:01Speaker 1: Uh different for you? Yeah, you know you want to
- 22:05Speaker 1: get on something. Thinking to you on Mary your baby? Mary,
- 22:14Speaker 1: you play get your nephew Uncle Steve. Is that Steve
- 22:20Speaker 1: Harve and Steve Miller? Mary your baby Here? It is
- 22:24Speaker 1: running cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach I'm trying
- 22:28Speaker 1: to reach Mr. Yes, Mr. How you doing. I'm trying.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Let me let me make you I'm calling the right person.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Your daughter here is Crystal? Yes, okay, cool, Yeah, I
- 22:40Speaker 1: got the right Hey listen, what I wanted to do

- 22:51Speaker 1: and I've been uh seeing Crystal, uh you know, pretty
- 22:56Speaker 1: much like the last five or six months, and I
- 22:59Speaker 1: wanted um, let you know that I'm very very interested
- 23:03Speaker 1: in you. And I know it's kind of crazy for
- 23:06Speaker 1: you to get a phone call for me when I'm
- 23:08Speaker 1: very interested in Crystal right now. And I wanted to,
- 23:11Speaker 1: you know, I just wanted to do the man thing
- 23:14Speaker 1: and just reach out to your man and say I'm
- 23:16Speaker 1: really interested in and uh in marrying your daughter and
- 23:20Speaker 1: marrying my daughter. Well, hold on, man, what what what

- 24:33Speaker 1: Well you know what you know. And maybe it's a
- 24:35Speaker 1: situation where Christa is like a little maybe a little
- 24:38Speaker 1: uneasy about talking to you about it. You know what
- 24:40Speaker 1: I'm saying, can talk to me about anything. We talk
- 24:43Speaker 1: every day, right right? Just you like you, I talked

- 26:44Speaker 1: trying to explain to you that you know what, man,
- 26:46Speaker 1: sometimes love is right the second time around. You understand
- 26:49Speaker 1: what I'm saying. What the hell you mean a second time?
- 26:51Speaker 1: I got kids already. What I'm trying to say is
- 26:54Speaker 1: it didn't work out with me on the first time.
- 26:56Speaker 1: What I wanted to do, Man, it just called you.
- 26:59Speaker 1: It's solidified the Coulinary experienced you got to doing. Dude,

- 27:08Speaker 1: I got to talk to my daughter. I'm gonna talk Crystal,
- 27:11Speaker 1: and I'm gonna find out what the hell is going on,
- 27:13Speaker 1: because yes, man, I'm not even trying to have this
- 27:15Speaker 1: conversation with you, and I understand all. Let I understand
- 27:19Speaker 1: what you're saying. What I want to say to you,
- 27:21Speaker 1: is this right here? Crystal is twenty five. Even if
- 27:25Speaker 1: you don't agree with this, here, we're gonna eat low

- 27:31Speaker 1: you ain't doing with my daughter unless it's mine. Look here, man,
- 27:38Speaker 1: you ain't doing. I don't even know your jail bird.
- 27:42Speaker 1: You ain't doing. I'm gonna call my daughter final. You
- 27:45Speaker 1: really are lost your mind. If you think your old
- 27:50Speaker 1: jail bird, it's gonna be Mary and my daughter my thought.
- 27:53Speaker 1: It's not a future you know, ain't got that's wrong
- 27:56Speaker 1: with us. I'm not gonna sit there and go back
- 27:59Speaker 1: and forth. But you, Mr, Me and Crystal getting married,
- 28:02Speaker 1: that will not happen under any circumstances. What you think
- 28:06Speaker 1: the circumstances are me and Crystal getting married. That's it
- 28:10Speaker 1: not to love. I don't know what you think you
- 28:12Speaker 1: as long as you don't know what it's gotta be.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say, and
- 28:18Speaker 1: then me and Crystal just gonna come over there and
- 28:20Speaker 1: dry down there and tell you exactly what's going on
- 28:23Speaker 1: in our life right now. You got to say to me,
- 28:27Speaker 1: are you listening to me? To me? I got to
- 28:31Speaker 1: say this. This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harby.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got pranked by your daughter Crystal
- 28:39Speaker 1: and her boyfriend outside my job and let people looking
- 28:52Speaker 1: at me like I'm crazy and your baby girl just
- 28:59Speaker 1: wanted to put us mile on your face. Man, I
- 29:01Speaker 1: gotta ask you what it is? What is the baddest
- 29:04Speaker 1: and I mean the baddest radio show in the land
- 29:08Speaker 1: and Harvey Morning Show? What y'all think I said it
- 29:17Speaker 1: already played to me. I just want to know if
- 29:21Speaker 1: I'm stupid enough to keep asking. Well, I just want
- 29:25Speaker 1: to know, am I stupid enough? Look, we got to
- 29:29Speaker 1: call you stupid. You to be convinced really quick, real,
- 29:34Speaker 1: que I want to ask you, if I prank a
- 29:40Speaker 1: bunch of teachers, what would you what would be a
- 29:44Speaker 1: good title for my CD? If I prank a bunch
- 29:47Speaker 1: of teachers, professors, just people that work at schools, what
- 29:51Speaker 1: would be a good title for my sea? Well? When
- 29:58Speaker 1: we come back, Coop, all right, Well, uh okay, coming
- 30:06Speaker 1: up next entertainment news. The city of Detroit will honor
- 30:08Speaker 1: the Queen of Soul this week and we'll be back
- 30:11Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the stew alright, this
- 30:18Speaker 1: is from our home station, w m x D Mix
- 30:21Speaker 1: ninety two point three in Detroit. The City of Detroit
- 30:24Speaker 1: will honor the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin all this week.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Fans and mourners will celebrate Aretha Franklin's life with five
- 30:32Speaker 1: days of events. Miss Franklin died, as we all know,
- 30:35Speaker 1: August sixteen, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded
- 30:39Speaker 1: by friends and family. Miss Franklin's body will lie in
- 30:43Speaker 1: repose at the Charles H. Wright Museum for African American
- 30:47Speaker 1: History at three fifteen East Warren Avenue, Detroit, Michigan. The
- 30:52Speaker 1: viewing will be open to the public for today and
- 30:54Speaker 1: tomorrow from nine am to nine pm. The Queen's funeral
- 30:58Speaker 1: service will be this Friday, August thirty one, and we
- 31:01Speaker 1: will play Miss Franklin's music all morning this Friday. The
- 31:05Speaker 1: Queen of Souls music lives on here at the Steve
- 31:08Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Yes, your God, it did your um
- 31:13Speaker 1: your wedding umsu Pastor Jasper Williams, that's who's doing the eulogy.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Oh really okay? Yes, wow, Mr Jasper, Yeah he is
- 31:27Speaker 1: he is, So Steve, I gotta ask you something, did
- 31:32Speaker 1: you hear about this? We all know the Queen, Miss
- 31:35Speaker 1: Franklin herself was known for wearing fabulous fur coats. Now
- 31:40Speaker 1: that she's gone, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,
- 31:44Speaker 1: that is PET would like to have those fur coats.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Tracy Raymond, pet's executive president, has reached out to Aresa's
- 31:52Speaker 1: niece Sabrina to get the coats so they can use
- 31:55Speaker 1: them for homeless people and as betting for needy animals.
- 32:01Speaker 1: See right there, they fitly get the customer like mule
- 32:04Speaker 1: my mule right now, uh, she said. By donating Aretha
- 32:09Speaker 1: Franklin's fur coats to Peter, her family could expand her
- 32:13Speaker 1: legacy of social justice to animals. While we can't bring
- 32:17Speaker 1: back the animals who suffered and died for them, these
- 32:20Speaker 1: coats can help others by providing some much needed warmth
- 32:23Speaker 1: to orphaned animals and humans in desperate need. So for
- 32:29Speaker 1: the animals to lay on or we're given the coach
- 32:32Speaker 1: to homeless, homeless people and betting for needy animals. Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I didn't know people. I didn't know that Peter did
- 32:40Speaker 1: that well do anything for people? I neither did I.
- 32:45Speaker 1: They can use them if you give them that coat.
- 32:47Speaker 1: I'm about promise you they're not giving it to a
- 32:48Speaker 1: homeless first. Yeah, you're gonna be on the coner with
- 32:52Speaker 1: a fur coat and a sand and it's a pawn
- 32:55Speaker 1: shop right there. Man, shut up all I got home,
- 33:03Speaker 1: I got that visual. I ain't got no where to stake.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Get it out of my head. You're gonna get me
- 33:08Speaker 1: a sable and I'm a rocket. She had fabulous birds. Yeah, yes, yes,
- 33:17Speaker 1: I just don't see how you're gonna ask her family
- 33:20Speaker 1: before the funeral about to dad. We're trying to bury
- 33:23Speaker 1: my grandmother, bury my mama. I'm telling you many Yeah, yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 1: I really do. People don't do when they're having the funeral.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Anything my mama house. You ain't taking a damn thing,
- 33:39Speaker 1: my mom. Nothing ain't happening. Well, needless to say, yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 1: so far the estate has not responded. Um, and they
- 33:47Speaker 1: ain't gonna, yeah, not respond. They didn't respond, yeah right,
- 33:55Speaker 1: oh no, they didn't respond to Peter. Just ain't hurt.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah what they didn't say it down? Well, there's been
- 34:07Speaker 1: so many mL about these code we gotta go. Uh
- 34:13Speaker 1: we come back. Hey, Steve, it is time to get
- 34:16Speaker 1: the latest on the president's deal with Mexico, So please
- 34:19Speaker 1: introduce miss Ann with our headlines. Ladies, and gentlemen, miss
- 34:23Speaker 1: and trip and thank you very much everybody. This is ANDWED.
- 34:27Speaker 1: But the news good morning place in Jacksonville, Florida say
- 34:30Speaker 1: they still don't know definitively why a young white man
- 34:32Speaker 1: shot up a video game tournament over the weekend, killing
- 34:35Speaker 1: two participants and wounding nine others before he killed himself.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams says the gunman's identified as twenty
- 34:42Speaker 1: four year old David Katz and that he was also
- 34:44Speaker 1: a gamer. There are prior relationships with UH, almost specifically
- 34:48Speaker 1: about which with which victims, but this group travels as
- 34:51Speaker 1: a kind of as a circuit. Witnesses say Cats had
- 34:54Speaker 1: lost an earlier match. Court paper show he's been treated
- 34:56Speaker 1: at mental facilities twice. Santa John McCain to be more
- 35:00Speaker 1: moralized starting today, Santa colleagues from both sides of the
- 35:02Speaker 1: island Arizona, as well as in Washington, and by foreign
- 35:05Speaker 1: presidents George Bush and Barack Obama, who were asked by
- 35:08Speaker 1: the McCain family to give you geez, not to ask
- 35:11Speaker 1: reportly was Donald Trump. McCain and Trump clashed almost immediately
- 35:15Speaker 1: during Trump's presidential campaign, especially when the president made fun
- 35:19Speaker 1: of McCain's prison of war torture experiences. Telling his support
- 35:23Speaker 1: is that he considered a hero, someone who didn't get caught.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Senator McCain died Saturday at age eighty one. He left
- 35:29Speaker 1: some last words for the American people. Here's some of them.
- 35:31Speaker 1: I've tried to serve our country honorably. I've made mistakes,
- 35:36Speaker 1: but I hope my love for America will be weighed
- 35:39Speaker 1: favorably against them. I lived and died a proud American.
- 35:44Speaker 1: That was Rick Davis, his associate, by the way. In
- 35:46Speaker 1: the wake of his originally very brief tweet on McCain's passing,
- 35:49Speaker 1: President Trump has followed tradition and signed a proclamation sightning
- 35:53Speaker 1: McCain's service of the country, and the White House flag
- 35:55Speaker 1: has been lowered to half staff again. It was lowered
- 35:58Speaker 1: for two days than raised, while all other Washington flags
- 36:01Speaker 1: remain lowered out of respect. And there were a lot
- 36:03Speaker 1: of veterans groups that didn't like that. So now he's
- 36:05Speaker 1: loaded again. The True administration in Mexico have reached a
- 36:08Speaker 1: tentative agreement to revise key portions of the North American
- 36:11Speaker 1: Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, the new deal designed encouraged
- 36:14Speaker 1: more car and truck production in the US by requiring
- 36:17Speaker 1: the vehicles have at least seventy five percent North American
- 36:20Speaker 1: content in order to be sold in this country duty free,
- 36:23Speaker 1: and some other things are President Trump is confident. A
- 36:26Speaker 1: lot of people thought this was not a doable transaction.
- 36:30Speaker 1: It's going to be great for our people. And Canada's
- 36:33Speaker 1: expected to rejoin NAFTA negotiations very very quickly, and they're,
- 36:36Speaker 1: you know, speeding an ambassador there to to try and
- 36:39Speaker 1: talk to the President about it. Today is the first
- 36:41Speaker 1: of two days, as you surely said, where Aretha Franklin's
- 36:44Speaker 1: body is to lie in state in Detroit. Happy belated
- 36:47Speaker 1: birthday to the supremely intelligent and still lovely Katherine Johnson.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Katherine Johnson, the math genius who calculated the trajectories for
- 36:55Speaker 1: NASA's A. Powell Space missions by hand, turned one years
- 36:59Speaker 1: young on Sunday. She was played by actress to Roger
- 37:02Speaker 1: b Henson in the movie Hidden Figures. Finally, today, it's
- 37:05Speaker 1: National Red Wine Day. Every day I spend my time
- 37:09Speaker 1: and that's not a good thing to do. Every day.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Here's up Steve Harvey Nation. Find out if Uncle Steve
- 37:17Speaker 1: is smart than his nephew will be back twenty minutes
- 37:19Speaker 1: after the hour and Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:23Speaker 1: Stevey Show. Alright, guys, it's time to play our favorite game.

- 43:52Speaker 1: think when ever, since he wasn't back, we knew it
- 43:56Speaker 1: was a tick slow. What happened when he was a baby.
- 43:59Speaker 1: If it didn't happen, did you drop him? Steve Growth
- 44:05Speaker 1: got stunted. That was it, so did his brain. He
- 44:10Speaker 1: locked me in the closet. He pushed me under the bed.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I was babysitting. We're walking outside, so you got locked
- 44:19Speaker 1: in the cloth. You put me in the closet. You
- 44:21Speaker 1: put me under the bed. We were laying high and
- 44:24Speaker 1: seek and didn't know how to happen, So I pushed
- 44:28Speaker 1: you drop me in the deep freezing Yes, you said
- 44:32Speaker 1: you had a fever trying to unking nap. I see
- 44:49Speaker 1: the love there, I see it. You see love. He's
- 44:53Speaker 1: still married because here in the freezer love when your
- 44:58Speaker 1: uncle who is ten years older than you, who is
- 45:02Speaker 1: the person that's supposed to be watching you, why everybody
- 45:05Speaker 1: else gone? And then then with everybody gone, something bad
- 45:09Speaker 1: happens to me. But I get locked in a deep
- 45:12Speaker 1: freezer for at least thirty minutes. He keeps raising the door,
- 45:17Speaker 1: but did he keeps closing it? You explain to me, Hi,
- 45:20Speaker 1: that's a nice person. But let me ask you something.
- 45:22Speaker 1: When you got out, did you have a fever? Hello?
- 45:26Speaker 1: All right, listen, Hello, Up next to nephew has a
- 45:33Speaker 1: prank phone call. You are the King of prank So nephew,
- 45:36Speaker 1: that's for sure. We'll do that right after this. You're
- 45:38Speaker 1: listening Steve Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 45:43Speaker 1: the hour. Right about four minutes after. It's today's Strawberry letter,
- 45:46Speaker 1: the subject my first major dating mistake with brothers. But
- 45:51Speaker 1: right now the nephew is here with his prank phone
- 45:54Speaker 1: call for today and sorry about the game today, Tommy,
- 45:58Speaker 1: Steve beat you again. I know he beat me, Shirley.
- 46:01Speaker 1: You don't have to continue to the boy fine with
- 46:04Speaker 1: these your pranks. No, Yeah, he's the King, Steve, He
- 46:07Speaker 1: is the King, Charley. Do you know Isaac Cree? Yeah,
- 46:10Speaker 1: I do it as a matter of fact. The singer standard, yes, gospel. Yeah,
- 46:16Speaker 1: you know when you prank, you don't hold you go
- 46:19Speaker 1: for everybody. This right here is Isaac Crie men a standard.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Take a listen. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Au
- 46:29Speaker 1: and Isaac Caree. Please speakings calling. My name is Attorney
- 46:33Speaker 1: Rob Robson. I'm a representative for Mr Victor. You're you're
- 46:38Speaker 1: with UM gospel group Men of Standard. I'm I correct? Yeah? Yeah?
- 46:41Speaker 1: Who you say? You representing again? UM? My client's name
- 46:44Speaker 1: is Victor. You guys did a great album I must admit,
- 46:49Speaker 1: called Surrounding, Yes, sir, that was dropped in July of
- 46:54Speaker 1: oh seven. Is that correct? Yes, sir? Great? Great? You
- 46:57Speaker 1: guys financially did pretty good on that. Am I correct?
- 47:01Speaker 1: H God bless us? It was. It was cool. What
- 47:03Speaker 1: what what is this call pretending to? Sir? Well, now
- 47:06Speaker 1: you guys have a song on there called I Will, Yes, sir,
- 47:09Speaker 1: and that supposedly was the one one of the hit
- 47:12Speaker 1: songs on the actual album. Correct, some would say, okay?
- 47:17Speaker 1: And how many people are actually in your group? It's
- 47:20Speaker 1: three members? Sir? Again, what is this call pretending to
- 47:22Speaker 1: Because I'm fining he did him with my family. You know,
- 47:25Speaker 1: no problem. What we got here is now you you
- 47:29Speaker 1: um the song I Will Could you actually tell me
- 47:32Speaker 1: who wrote the song? Minista wrote the song, the three
- 47:36Speaker 1: members of the group and the producer Won Okay, Um,
- 47:40Speaker 1: what's what's going on here? Is Victor who I represent,
- 47:45Speaker 1: is telling me that he actually wrote the song I Will,
- 47:48Speaker 1: and we've got documentations, we've got all of the tracks.
- 47:51Speaker 1: He said he wrote the song the song I Will.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Mr Isaac cur heard that parts her, but I'm I'm
- 47:58Speaker 1: on the fact that he said he wrote the on
- 48:00Speaker 1: you know. And it amazes me when when you ask
- 48:03Speaker 1: for people, you guys, you you do this this whole
- 48:06Speaker 1: religious thing, and then you don't hold on first of all,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I don't you know, all due respect, I don't know you,
- 48:12Speaker 1: you don't know me, and for you to be, you know,
- 48:14Speaker 1: making accusations as if we took somebody else a song.
- 48:17Speaker 1: When we were in the studio with the producer, he
- 48:19Speaker 1: did the track right there on the spot. We wrote
- 48:22Speaker 1: the lyrics right there on the slot. Then we went
- 48:23Speaker 1: in the booth and recording. Now, how does this gentleman
- 48:26Speaker 1: have the same uh, same song, same lyrics, documentation and copyright.
- 48:32Speaker 1: You have to ask your client that I have nothing
- 48:33Speaker 1: to do with that you do to be about this
- 48:36Speaker 1: right here? You get you to get with your client,
- 48:39Speaker 1: then I can get with my attorney. We can meet together,
- 48:41Speaker 1: because this right here, I don't do this. Well, for
- 48:43Speaker 1: my understanding, you're you're the spokesperson or the leader of
- 48:45Speaker 1: this group, but we all listen that wants to lead
- 48:48Speaker 1: everything in this group. So you're that's the reason why
- 48:51Speaker 1: the group we all hold out on. But I'll tell you,
- 48:54Speaker 1: just like they'll tell you, we didn't steal no song,
- 48:55Speaker 1: take no song or anything like that. So your information
- 48:58Speaker 1: is correct. Your client is lying. So you're telling me
- 49:01Speaker 1: you didn't steal the song. I'm telling you we wrote
- 49:03Speaker 1: the song. That means the song belongs to us. You
- 49:06Speaker 1: don't think there's any thievery and this whatsoever? Of course not.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I mean I think your client. I never thought i'd
- 49:12Speaker 1: be handling a case with some religious thievery. I mean,
- 49:15Speaker 1: this is this is like a religious FuG So first
- 49:19Speaker 1: of all, all the you know, you've been condescending and
- 49:21Speaker 1: all that, trying to talk over my head and trying
- 49:24Speaker 1: to talk to me, like talk down on me. That's
- 49:26Speaker 1: what we're not gonna do. Respect me, just like I'm
- 49:27Speaker 1: giving you respect. All I'm saying is the facts state this.
- 49:31Speaker 1: We wrote the song. Look on the back of the album,
- 49:34Speaker 1: you can see our publisher. You can see the names
- 49:36Speaker 1: on the song who wrote the song we were there, sir.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I look on the back and you know what I see.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I see a bunch of lies. Okay, take up with
- 49:43Speaker 1: our attorney, because I got a client here who's got
- 49:46Speaker 1: a copy written. He's got all the lyrics, all of
- 49:48Speaker 1: the tracks. It's the exact same thing that I'm hearing
- 49:51Speaker 1: on your album. Your client is lying. If he said
- 49:54Speaker 1: he wrote the song I Will, then maybe he wrote
- 49:56Speaker 1: a song called will I or will I Am or
- 49:59Speaker 1: something else. He didn't write I Wheel, not not iron.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Then he could have wrote a song called I Will,
- 50:03Speaker 1: but it wasn't the rendition that we rise, sir, Miss
- 50:06Speaker 1: Side and career will take you to court if we
- 50:08Speaker 1: don't get this matter rectified. Please do, sir. I welcome that.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I welcome that. Get your client. We can go to court.
- 50:14Speaker 1: How do you want to do it. But at the
- 50:16Speaker 1: end of the day, you're gonna lose because we don't
- 50:18Speaker 1: steal music. We're men of God. And I'm not just
- 50:19Speaker 1: saying that we're men of God. We do music and
- 50:22Speaker 1: we've been doing it for twenty years. We have a
- 50:23Speaker 1: great reputation that God industry because God know your stole
- 50:26Speaker 1: a song. Sir, again, I'm not gonna keep going back
- 50:29Speaker 1: and forth with you. You know you're being very disrespected.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You know, I'm a I'm a person that believes in
- 50:33Speaker 1: a higher being. Of course I'm not. I'm not in
- 50:35Speaker 1: a gospel arena. I believe that I can tell Excuse me,
- 50:39Speaker 1: what do you What do you mean by that? Sir?
- 50:41Speaker 1: What I mean is you're sitting here calling me. You
- 50:43Speaker 1: don't know me, you don't have your information correct, and
- 50:45Speaker 1: you don't have your facts right. But you're calling me
- 50:47Speaker 1: saying that we stole a song that one of your clients.
- 50:50Speaker 1: You know you do your homework. First of all, you
- 50:52Speaker 1: must not be a great attorney. With all due respect,
- 50:54Speaker 1: I'm not great. Let's get to you are a great
- 50:58Speaker 1: Faith is what you are, sir. Your tone is what
- 51:01Speaker 1: you need to change. Change right now? What do you
- 51:06Speaker 1: want to talk about? Grow? We talk about that, sir.
- 51:11Speaker 1: You're not gonna disrespect me. If you want to further
- 51:13Speaker 1: deal with the situation, get in touch of the attorney,
- 51:16Speaker 1: get in touch with the record labor that we recorded
- 51:17Speaker 1: that album with, and you'd like to meet with you
- 51:19Speaker 1: and talk to you personally, Well, sir, I'll tell you what.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Since you want to meet with me. That's fine because
- 51:24Speaker 1: the Bible says in business be mean we can get together.
- 51:27Speaker 1: You're pushing my buttons. Now, if you really want to
- 51:29Speaker 1: meet with me, I can put hands on you. I'm
- 51:31Speaker 1: gonna lay hands on you'd like to preacher? Do you
- 51:32Speaker 1: want to pay eighty five and exit number six to
- 51:35Speaker 1: three and I'll be right there in a blue car
- 51:36Speaker 1: waiting on you with a great read suit on and
- 51:38Speaker 1: a closure column you you're not only do you still music? Now?
- 51:41Speaker 1: You want to fight me? Is that what you're saying.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I'm just telling you right now, sir, let's handle and
- 51:46Speaker 1: face to face. Let me see you, Let me see
- 51:48Speaker 1: you that. What are you gonna do? You're gonna are
- 51:50Speaker 1: you with? But all this foolish is on the phone
- 51:52Speaker 1: right here. That's not what I'm gonna take. I ain't
- 51:54Speaker 1: got a church today, and I had a good time
- 51:56Speaker 1: in church and praise the Lord Artis and come home
- 51:58Speaker 1: trying to eat dinner, trying to watch the game. You're
- 51:59Speaker 1: gonna call me with some foolishness like this top of
- 52:03Speaker 1: this dog like real talk problem I have. And when
- 52:05Speaker 1: I read this book and says, uh, Peter threw his
- 52:09Speaker 1: net to the side, casting the way God told him
- 52:12Speaker 1: to as a fisherman. And what you've done, you've jumped
- 52:15Speaker 1: in Mr Victor's net and taken out what has been
- 52:18Speaker 1: given to him. First of all, I don't even like fish.
- 52:21Speaker 1: I eat salmon occasionally. I don't even like fish. So
- 52:24Speaker 1: whatever fish that he sold his fish too, whatever the
- 52:26Speaker 1: soul food restaurant he took that too, that can't fit.
- 52:29Speaker 1: That's on bil me. We do things indecency and in order,
- 52:34Speaker 1: just like the word of God tells us to do.
- 52:35Speaker 1: We do our music, we hand our business work. We
- 52:38Speaker 1: do our music, and we handle the business side about
- 52:43Speaker 1: had business. We have the uh, the proper credicials and
- 52:47Speaker 1: documents to prove the rewrote the song. We got on
- 52:51Speaker 1: the court for fifty five thousand. Are you kidding me?
- 52:56Speaker 1: That's my final offer. When of you guys coming out
- 52:58Speaker 1: with another album, I guess when you get through stealing
- 53:00Speaker 1: some more music, I'm told you now, I told you
- 53:04Speaker 1: one time. I'm gonna tell you one more time. We
- 53:06Speaker 1: don't steal music. We're a man of integrity with men
- 53:08Speaker 1: of standard. We don't do that. We don't have to.
- 53:10Speaker 1: I don't use your no, no, no, I don't you
- 53:13Speaker 1: it's what I you see, it's fevery what I either
- 53:17Speaker 1: with this foolishness or we can meet face to face.
- 53:20Speaker 1: You want, you want me to smack him, but I
- 53:21Speaker 1: ain't go I ain't gonna. I aint gonna lay hands
- 53:23Speaker 1: on you, but I will slap you in the mouth
- 53:24Speaker 1: for this Bible because you need to be hit to work,
- 53:26Speaker 1: because you're crazy. Man, if you talk about we stole
- 53:28Speaker 1: your music, sir, I got one more thing I want
- 53:30Speaker 1: to say to you, so you don't got nothing to
- 53:32Speaker 1: say to me, man's way, I got something else I
- 53:34Speaker 1: want to say. Man, what you need to say to me? Man,
- 53:37Speaker 1: this is nephew toought me from the Steve Army morning.

- 53:57Speaker 1: I got you wise. Let me tell you something. You
- 53:59Speaker 1: almost made me put my religions down. Boy, you don't
- 54:03Speaker 1: understand I don't with the church. This morning God moves,
- 54:06Speaker 1: but I'm about to go ahead and lose it on

- 54:16Speaker 1: is the baddest Tell me, man, what's the baddest radio
- 54:18Speaker 1: show in the Landboard Man? You already know. It's the
- 54:21Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. I'm gonna get you dog. Sometimes
- 54:28Speaker 1: you got to go after the Lord's people. I know
- 54:31Speaker 1: that sounds crazy right there, Yes it does. But sometimes
- 54:36Speaker 1: you got to be tested your faith. You understand if
- 54:39Speaker 1: sometimes people go to hell. You think about some of
- 54:44Speaker 1: these things, well you're talking about sometimes. All right, nephew,
- 54:50Speaker 1: thank you for that prank. God coming up, it's the

- 55:38Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry
- 55:40Speaker 1: less subject my first major dating mistake with brothers. Dear
- 55:45Speaker 1: Uncle Stephen, Aunt Shirley. I am a young female that
- 55:48Speaker 1: graduated from high school two years ago. Yeah, and uh,
- 55:53Speaker 1: I am in a sticky situation. You see. After graduation,
- 55:56Speaker 1: I met a guy on an online app and we
- 56:00Speaker 1: exted back and forth and decided to spend some time together.
- 56:03Speaker 1: We ended up going on dates and messing around a lot.
- 56:06Speaker 1: He is a really great person, but he was not
- 56:09Speaker 1: the one for me, so we ended our fleeing. We
- 56:12Speaker 1: stayed in touch for a while through text messages, but
- 56:16Speaker 1: that was about it. Last November, I met a new
- 56:19Speaker 1: guy and he and I are in a committed relationship.
- 56:22Speaker 1: So things were great until we went to a New
- 56:25Speaker 1: Year's Eve party and the guy from my past was
- 56:28Speaker 1: at the party. As if it were not awkward enough
- 56:31Speaker 1: seeing him, I found out that this guy and my
- 56:34Speaker 1: boyfriend our brothers. We allowed my boyfriend to introduce us,
- 56:39Speaker 1: and neither one of us gave away our big secret.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I may be overthinking this, but I do not want
- 56:44Speaker 1: this guy to drive a wedge in my relationship by
- 56:47Speaker 1: telling his brother about all of the wild stuff we
- 56:50Speaker 1: used to do. It's been very awkward whenever all three
- 56:53Speaker 1: of us are around each other. I think I should
- 56:56Speaker 1: come clean and mentioned to my new guy that I
- 56:58Speaker 1: used to mess with his brother. There do you think
- 57:01Speaker 1: that he knows already and likes me so much that
- 57:03Speaker 1: he's not saying anything. I don't want my past to
- 57:06Speaker 1: ruin our future. I really value your advice, so please
- 57:09Speaker 1: help me. Well, so far he hasn't told his brother, right,
- 57:14Speaker 1: So what makes you think he's gonna tell him at all?
- 57:17Speaker 1: I mean, I do think you're overthinking this a bit.
- 57:19Speaker 1: If you're if you're truly in a committed relationship, like
- 57:22Speaker 1: you say, it might not matter to him. He hasn't
- 57:25Speaker 1: mentioned it to you. You haven't said that in the
- 57:27Speaker 1: letter that he's mentioned it at all. So I think
- 57:30Speaker 1: you're a young lady. I think you need to know
- 57:33Speaker 1: and you'll learn in life that stuff is going to happen.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Stuff happens in life that you have absolutely no control over.
- 57:39Speaker 1: And I think that's just what happened here. You met
- 57:42Speaker 1: his brother first. Uh, you guys were both very young.
- 57:45Speaker 1: You've matured now, you've moved on as people do. You
- 57:48Speaker 1: said in your letter he was not the one for you,
- 57:51Speaker 1: so you guys ended it so to you. I just say,
- 57:53Speaker 1: stop feeling guilty, Stop feeling some kind of way when
- 57:57Speaker 1: you're with your new man. All of that, I mean,
- 58:00Speaker 1: life goes on. Let this, Go live your life, stop
- 58:02Speaker 1: worrying about the past. If it comes up, you can
- 58:05Speaker 1: say that was a long time ago. It's over. Well,
- 58:08Speaker 1: you know, it's just over. Sorry I didn't say anything,
- 58:11Speaker 1: but it's over. It didn't mean anything to me. We're
- 58:14Speaker 1: together now, Steve. Well, that came from your aunt, Shirley. Yes,
- 58:23Speaker 1: that's real, nice, hopeful, optimistic response. Lets you feel better
- 58:28Speaker 1: about yourself and all that now. Because you are a
- 58:31Speaker 1: young female, I want to try to do the same
- 58:33Speaker 1: thing for you, but you're in a sticky situation. This
- 58:38Speaker 1: guy that you ended up going on the date messing
- 58:41Speaker 1: around with a lot, really great person, but he was
- 58:45Speaker 1: not the one for me, so we ended it. But
- 58:47Speaker 1: you stayed in touch for a while through text message. Well,
- 58:50Speaker 1: you know, we all know what was on in text message?
- 58:54Speaker 1: What what they were doing? What say? You know they
- 59:01Speaker 1: were sexty, they were on showing miss you know that
- 59:04Speaker 1: time you yeah, and all that time. Last November I
- 59:11Speaker 1: met a new guy. He and I in a committed relationships.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Things great to the New Year's Eve party. The guy
- 59:18Speaker 1: from your past at the party. Awkward enough you find
- 59:22Speaker 1: out this guy and your boyfriend are brothers. HM. We
- 59:27Speaker 1: allowed my boyfriend to introduce us, and neither one of
- 59:30Speaker 1: us gave away our big secret. I'll be overthinking. I
- 59:34Speaker 1: might be overthinking this, but I do not want this
- 59:36Speaker 1: guy to drive awage in my relationship by telling his brother. Well,
- 59:43Speaker 1: now let me tell you something. The first brother that
- 59:47Speaker 1: you slept with, he ain't do nothing wrong. You said
- 59:51Speaker 1: he was. He was a great guy. He just wasn't
- 59:53Speaker 1: the one for you, so you ended your fleeing. Now,
- 59:57Speaker 1: you don't want this guy to drive awage and my
- 59:59Speaker 1: relationship ship by telling his brother about and hear the
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: crazy part about all the wild stuff we used to do.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: See that asked where we how wild was it? Exactly?
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: What was you doing? It's been awkward whenever three of
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: us around each other. I think I should come clean
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: and mentioned to my new guy that I used to
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: mess with his brother. Do you think that he knows
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: already and likes me so much that he's not saying anything?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Uh uh, you take that out your mind. That ain't
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: how men work. Do you think he knows already and
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: likes me so much that he not saying anything? What? Hey?
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Oh no, your boyfriend don't know nothing about this. I
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: don't want my past ruin my future. I really value
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: you advice and please help me. Here's two things you
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: got going for you. Number one one, your boyfriend's brother
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: may not want to hurt his brother by by saying
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: something if he thinks his brother is happy, so maybe
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: he won't say nothing. On the other hand, he may
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: not want to hurt his brother by not telling him,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: because if it come out, he's gonna be looking up
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: beside his brother's head. The best thing for you to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: do is shut your damn mouth. Now, this is taking
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: a page from the men's playbook. Why would you bring
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: up an issue that ain't an issue? Why would you
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: tell the truth when saying nothing at all sounds much better.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna repeat that. Why would you tell the truth
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: when saying nothing at all sounds so much better? Shut
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: chut down, don't say nothing to your board friend. Act
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: like you ain't never seen that other dude, and then
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: if it come out, just say I didn't know until
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I saw him at the New Year's e party and
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I was too embarrassed. I felt horrible. That's all you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: can do. And then throw yourself at the mercy of
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: the court. When we come back, Jay and I will
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: do reenact me. Please let Jay play the girl. Jay
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: gonna be the girl and I'm gonna be the brother,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: trying to find out if what I'm thinking is happening
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: is really happening. All Right, we'll have part two response
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: and Jay's gonna step in as well when we come
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: back at twenty three after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve, let's recap
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letters subject my first major dating mistake with brothers.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Let's get to your response. This girl I met a
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: guy online, dated him, had an affair. It was pretty hot,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: did a lot of while stuff. Found out they wasn't
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: for each other. They broke up. They stayed intense, They
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: text each other for a little while. She meets another
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: great guy. They dating. Everything going fine. They go to
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the New Year's Eve party and the guy she used
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to date was there. Come to find out, the two
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: dudes is brothers. Now she messed up. Now her Boyfrid
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: introduced him as his new woman and his brother. They
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: both kept their secret of secret. They didn't say nothing
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: to each other. Boom. Maybe the brother don't want to
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: hurt his brother and ain't gonna ever hurt him by
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: telling me. Maybe it could be y'all secret, but we
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: don't know. Then again, he may have to tell his brother,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: because man, I can't let you go on not knowing this,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: because if it ever come out, I can't let you
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: know what I knew. This Your only play that I
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: think is I didn't if it comes out. I didn't
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: know y'all his brothers until I met you all that
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: New Year's Eve, and I was humiliated, embarrassed. I didn't
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: know what to do, and I've been shaking in my
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: boots until this came to light because I didn't want
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to lose you. You're the best thing ever happened to me. Yeah,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: he gonna leave you, but that you want to Try
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to say that though, Try to get that in and
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: cry while you say. But his asses go don't like popcorn.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: If his brother tell him, it's gonna be messed up. Man.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: He may get over it may not, but it's gonna
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: be messed up. So here we are at this moment
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: in the show. I am gonna play the boyfriend who's
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: having some suspicions because y'all act a little strange round
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: each other. Jay is gonna be the girl, trying at
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: all calls to keep me off this subject. No problem,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: no brother, got it. Hey y'all, Hey, baby, can I
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: talk to you about something? Yeah? Right, baby? About you know,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: every time I see you and my brother around each other, y'all, y'all,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: that kind of strange thing, like what you mean, you know,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: strange strange? You know, y'all y'all seem like, you know, y'all,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: y'all don't really be friendly with each other. You you
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: don't be kind of distance your brother, know, your brother
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: cool with me? I like your brother first, my aim
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: know you had a brother, y'all. Y'all know you don't
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: know I had one. Boy. I introduced you at the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: New Year's Eve party, and I remember back looking at
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: the party, seemed like y'all was just sort of like,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: so you look, you look real sick. No, not at all.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Wasn't shot, No, not me, No, yeah, yeah, baby, what
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: I'm telling that, well, baby, because you threw up. Oh well,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I was just a little sick. You know, I had
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: the bean deep. It was just like setting on my stomach,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: put gingerly at on top of that, and I can't
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: take being dip. Maybe you didn't need that. I don't
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: think you didn't you you didn't need that to have.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: You first got to introduce you to my brother. As
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: soon as you looked at him, you start trying to
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: hold it in that up and that was that being
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: the being because they didn't bring the being dip out
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: right there. You ain't got to yea about your brother?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Hold off, hold on, hold on? But why you say
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: it like that? Why do we get all sexy your
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: brother's there's nothing up to that? How you want me
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: to say? Well, what's up with your damn brother? Is
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: that better? You like that way? What's your way? You
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: won't but that way to make you have? You know what?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Hold on? Let me just say that. Let me just
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: say that. You say how you want me to say it,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and then I say it that way? How about that? No? No, no,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: no no no. See now you're trying to change the subject.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: What I'm getting that is just said. Let me ask
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: you a question. Have you ever met my brother before?
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I ain't ever seen your brother? By baby, baby, you're
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: a whole another octave right now? What's happening? Brother? But
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: what you're crying for? I just asked you that you
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: met my brother befoone telling you. I got to tell
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: you I ain't seen your brother, and you know I

- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I can't pull tell have fun with your brother. Listen.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: We gotta wrap this up. Guys up, Email Instagram us

- 1:10:03Speaker 1: M or you can go to my Instagram My Girls
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Shirley at My Girls Shirley. Now coming up in ten minutes.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Beyonce and j Z Slade the concert Grass at the
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Stadium in South Carolina, plus Steve and the guys. They're
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: here with comedy Roulette right after the AM key. You're
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. J Anthony Brown, Uh,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: you know you were doing a lot of hating last
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: week when Beyonce and jay Z. Yeah, you were when
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: they got their key to your hometown, the lovely city
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: of Columbia, South Carolina. You remember that. Can I just
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: say this, I love Beyonce and Beyonce and jay Z.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: They've done great works, great work, but nobody has mentioned
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: the words South Carolina more than me on two damn
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: shows I've done Home and that's my hometown. And why
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I don't have a key or the cold if someone
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: sounded Pad love, so I gotta had no key. There's
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: some areas that's pad Why since you since your people
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: to steal down there, you know you come through anyway,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: they probably ain't give you a key because you're gonna
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: tell them halftime when you're down, deserve a key. Well,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: I really do, that's for sure. All right, we'll listen. Then,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: this past Saturday night, during the On the Run to
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: tour to stop in Atlanta, a crazy fan got on
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: stage and got a beat down from the background singers. Okay,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: some guy came, yeah, just ran up on stage. But okay, okay,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I digress back to South Carolina William Bryce Stadium. That's
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: um home to the South Carolina Gamecocks. You know them
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: eighty thousand people had more than that. Okay, we'll see
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: you know a lot about it, yeah, real high. Well, anyway,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: they had to replace its football field less than a
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: week before the Super of the season opener after hosting
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: a Jay Z and Beyonce concert. South Carolina. Yeah, South
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Carolina Stadium staff spent yesterday installing more than ninety thousand
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: square feet of Bermuda grass, Tommy. Now, just in case
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: you're wondering, Yeah, a hard cover was put over the
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: field to protect it from wear and tear caused by
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: construction of the stage and concert goers. But when the
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: cover was removed, it was clear the grass had died
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: and it needed to be replaced. Uh. That stadium, if
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: they set it up a concert, you can get close
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: to hundred thousand people in there. Now. The University of
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: South Carolina owns that stadium, and for a long time
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: they wouldn't let us have concerts in there, even though
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: us could sell it out. That no, let me say
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: what I got to say, because of Beyonce and j C.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: They have changed in a lot of conciences. I'm starting
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: performing on it. But you're still not getting no key.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: I ain't gonna get no damn no pay Well, you
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: know a lot about the city. I live right up
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: the street from the damn But you have no key.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: You're right, Jake, you ain't getting no key, But you're
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: right all right, Ja, it's time now for comedy. We
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: let Jay all right, Jay, who don't have a key?
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Here hat go. It takes four subjects, put them on
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: a wheel, spun the wheel with stop we do the
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: damn thing. All right, here we go. Uh. Number one,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: I know what you're saying, but something in that story
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: doesn't make sense. Here's another one. Do you ever have
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: any good news when you call? Ever? Don't do that.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Number three. I ain't saying this house is nasty, but okay,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Number four, that's not what you said when they were
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: out of the room. Okay, I'm just saying that's not
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: what you said when they were out of the room.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: All right, come on, cat's word's gonna stop. Wait a minute,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I stopped it. Number three ain't saying the house is nasty,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: but in the house is nasty. But the ret stopped
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: me at the don say dog, don't go in there
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: your house or the house, the house, the house. I
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: ain't saying the house is now, Steve. But but I
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: ain't saying the house is nasty. But looking at your
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: all all over there, I think it is. So he
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: comes out of out hey man looking at Uh. I
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: ain't really seeing your house nasty? But do your dog
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: always go right now of it? Right there, dog? I mean,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: it's it's just I don't know it just sitting there nasty.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I ain't I ain't saying your house nast. But when
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I was over there, I said, do you smell that?
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: And you said smell what? Come on? Come on, come
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: on dog, I said your house that. But I know
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: good hair? Where that smolder than corners? I don't that. Well,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I'm looking at the boat. No, I'm looking at that. Hey, man,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: let me tell you something I'm not. I'm not saying
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: your house nasty. But why is your flies talking to me? Why?
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Why are we having a conversation flying? I'm just saying
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I ain't got a good one though, I ain't dare
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: having time to heard that Steven pay good money for
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: But go right ahead. I ain't saying your house is nasty,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: but your carpet ain't supposed to be sticky. Okay, man,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: come on out. I ain't saying your house nasty, but
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: when your roaches come out of the house, they dest
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: see each other off. Let me right. That's it for
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: comedy Roulette. Thank you, guys, thank you so much. All right,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: but coming up at the top of the hour, Jamal
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Hill and ESPN have parted ways. Wow, alright, we'll talk
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to the stew alright,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: So Steve. After twelve years at ESPN, Jamal hills time
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: with the sports media giant is coming to a close.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: This is according to multiple reports. James Miller, author of
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: Those Guys Have All the Fun Inside the World of ESPN,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: reported that Hill met with ESPN president Jimmy uh Ptero
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: and that her buyout slash departure was amicable. Reports are
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: that Hill's last day at the network will be August
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: thirty one. Hillmate news last year when she called President
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Donald Trump a white supremacist in the wake of the
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: deadly rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. That comment led White House
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to all the remarks a
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: firable offense. In October of last year, Hill was suspended
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: for two weeks by ESPN after suggesting that fans could
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: boycott Dallas Cowboys advertisers after team owner Jerry Jones threatened
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: to bench his players if they did not stand for
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the national anthem. A buy out of her report at
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: two point five million dollar per year contract has been
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: completed and her last day will be this Friday. Wow, man,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: I miss her. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she's really good. I
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: hopefully she can land all the work, but it could
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: be a minute sad to say, but you know, if
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: she got about she has time to pull it together.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Some she's really good at what she does. Somebody that statement.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: So that's why they let her go because of the
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: things she said. Huh they used to be on President
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: can whatever for the nfl um. Pam Olivers, she's still
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: the PA, still there, She's still there along with She
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: went through a little drama too though, Carlin. Yeah, she
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: went through drama and it was caused by her own
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: people sometimes. You know, I think that people were talking
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: about her on social media and things like that and
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: and that that was not cool what happened with Pam Oliver.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: But she's still working working on Fox. So she's there. Yeah.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: The Bachelorette is on the sea It Sports Center a
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: lot now, Lindsay Rachel Lindsay, Yeah, the miss one of
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: the Bachelorettes. She's a lawyer. She's on my show a
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: lot now. She's she's ones on Sports Center right now.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: She's really good. Oh good. So you think jaml Hill
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: will will land somewhere Absolutely, I hope so. But they
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: that she does is a very small sir Hm Fox Okay,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: ain't no work at Fox, So m that's out Fox Sports,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Steve Um, maybe Fox Sports. Yeah, I'd love to see
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: a land somewhere. I really wish. She's really really good. Okay,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: well yeah, definitely I hate to see her go. But
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I'm sure one door closes, another one will open, you know, definitely. So, Steve,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: what's up with Dez Bryant? Is he going to Cleveland,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Jacksonville or not? I don't know. I don't know they
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: was talking to Cleveland, but you know, he probably want
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: more money than he were, So yeah, that's I heard.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: He walked out of the negotiations without a contract with Cleveland.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Did you hear that, Steve? Yeah, I heard that. So,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: you know, I mean it would have been cool to
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: have Dare's Brian. He still got plenty of game in it. Um.
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: I think the concern with Daz Brian it's not just
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: the money he's asking for, but they're afraid of the
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: locker room dissension that he could bring to the table.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Oh is this brown a t o? Uncle ste Um?
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Is that the same vein as that? Well, they're saying
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: he's in the same thing. You know, it's a lot
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: of sideline rhetoric. Ranting, you know, talking to the quarterback.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: It's hard to Yeah, I mean he's he's a great
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: football player. Man. I think he deserves a shot. And
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: I always think that people drum it up more than
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: it really is. I think the dere Is Brian's probably
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: a really cool guy in the locker room. Heck of
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: a tomb teammate, competitor. He stays in shape. You know,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: he looks good and he could steal ball. But you know,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: people put words out about you, and I think that's
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: hurting his reputation, which is probably a long way out
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: of Purport. He's probably a great dude. What do you think, John,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: you think Houston could have used it? We got but
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: one day receiver we needed for the Texans. Yeah, for
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: the Houston Texas, we could have used him. I'm saying
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: we could use him right now. I mean we need somebody.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: We got Hopkins is who we have. That's our boy,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: but we need we need to three more weird hot man. Well,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: you know, you know one thing about that Josh Gordon
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: came back to you know, he came back. What about
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: that big white boy from Kansas? You know what you
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: say that no matter if we're talking about baseball, basketball, football.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: You always say what about the big white boy from
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I heard you? Yeah, Josh Gordon is back. He went
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: out because of mental problems, he said, so he needed
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: some time pretty back. So well he got. He got
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: culled when he found out they weren't on paying. Steve,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: took your dass on that leave. He's not right out
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: of that all right a minute? Say what they're not doing? What?
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: He's laughed by polar moment and that works everywhere. I
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: ain't saying that's what he had. I don't really know.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: I wish you the best, but you know, but any job,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: don't they work on any job? What you take a leave,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: take ware you're paying, you try to figure out how
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you gonna get back. Yeah, let me ask you, Steve,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: would you like to have been a sports commentator at
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: one time? I talked too much? Tra I can't stop.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I mean, just coming out with the channel, will you'll
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: be able to cuss? I can't do it. I can't talk. Yeah,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: I can't. I can't talk sports and don't cut sports. Great,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: that would be great. You can't talk sports without custom okay,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: but yeah, I know I wasn't talking about n A
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: nobody all go back with me. Counter to what I said.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: The custom stars all right, well, listen coming up in
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: twenty at about twenty after the hour, a monkey goes
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: ape at a Florida eatery. We'll talk about that right
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steven Show. A Florida
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: child who went out for a bite to eat ended
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: up getting a bite of another kind when a monkey
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: took a chunk out of his thumb on a restaurant patio.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: The monkey's owner, Mary and Richard Van Houghton, brought Joe
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: Joe to their neighborhood Corrabas Grill on Monday. But instead
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: but instead of setting settling for a nice banana cream pie,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: the monkey decided it wanted some finger food. Oh really,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: it got off, it's a leash, chomped a piece of
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: the boy's thumb. That's crazy. According to the Florida Wildlife Commission, Jojo,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: the monkey, who was a regular at the restaurant, was
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: laying yeah. It was playing calmly with the eight year
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: old when something startled him and he bit down, breaking
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: the skin. The owners of Corrabba said they would no
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: longer allow monkeys on their absolutely no if you're biting
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: boys fingers. You got to go Jojo Jojo is a
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: regular though, Yeah, when to start him? That he bit
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: the little boy's finger though his thumb? I wonder what
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: startled him? Yeah, don't tell him. Yeah, where's the restaurant
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: that lets any Yeah, I mean, I know in l
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: A people can bring their dogs and you know, in
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: the restaurants and everything. But I've never heard of a
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: monkey ever. And I don't want anybody in l A
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: to hear this story. They might change the laws in
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: l A. I know it was Michael Jackson. They had
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: a monkey bub nobody else had money. Uh, but I
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: don't know that he took bubbles to restaurants. He took bubbles.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Steve is the one that knows. Did he take Bubble's places? No,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: he took bubbles somewhere out in public one time. Bubble
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: that food. Wait what he wasn't used to know? Huh?
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: You've seen pictures with Michael, that monkey out with their
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: little suit on. He did take Tommy you remember my
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: gay y'all the clothes? Yeah? Yeah, yeah? Then were bubbles
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: belonged to a money? Right? You got me clothes that
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: belong Time to stop it damn, And I'm gonna put
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: a stop to this. Don Jay, wait a minute, but
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: ja six you get coming from a ball? They did?
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: They That's why I had eggs. That's why we're allergic,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: you know, and put them on. That's what made the
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: pans be short enough for you. And you kept that
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: little jacket, didn't you, because you're not gonna He didn't
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: know he had a bubble jacket of this. I remember

- 1:29:52Speaker 1: a so Steve, I gotta ask you something. Did you
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: hear about this? We all know the queen that's Franklin
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: herself was known for wearing fabulous fur coats. Now that
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: she's gone, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: that is Peter, would like to have those fur coats.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Tracy Raymond, pet's executive President has reached out to Aretha's
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: niece Tabrina to get the coats so they can use
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: them for homeless people and as betting for needy animals.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: They mule mule right now, uh, she said. By donating
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: Aretha Franklin's fur coats to Peter, her family could expand
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: her legacy of social justice to animals. While we can't
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: bring back the animals who suffered and died for them,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: these coats can help others by providing some much needed
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: warmth to orphaned animals and humans in desperate need. So
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: far for the animals to lay on, or we're given
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: the coach to homeless homeless people and betting for needy animals.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: I didn't know people. I didn't know that Peter did that. Well.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: Did I do anything for people? I neither did I.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: They can use them if you give them that code.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: I'm about promise you they're not giving it to a
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: homeless But you're gonna be on the coner with a
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: fur coat and a side and it's a pawn shop
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: right there. Man. Shut up, I got home, I got
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: that visual, I ain't got no where to stay. Get
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: out of my head. You're gonna give me a sable
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: and I'm a rocket and she had fabulous furs. Yeah, yes, yes,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I just don't see how you gonna ask her family
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: before the funeral about these day folks, we're trying to
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: bury my grandmother, bury my mama. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: they nothing, I really do. People don't have anything my mama,
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: damn thing my mama. Nothing. Ain't having it? Well, needless
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: to say, yeah, so far the estate has not responded.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: Um and yeah, not respond red. Yeah right, oh no,
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: they didn't respond to Peter. Just ain't you heard? Yeah,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back with the clothes with Steve's
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: closing remarks coming up at forty nine after the hour.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: last break of the day. We've had a great morning today, Yes,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: yes we did. We have fun today. Steve. It's time
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: for you now to take us home with your closing remarks.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: What you got for us today, Steve, Well, this is
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: going to be shortened to the point. I think I
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: just want to remind everybody something that your dreams can
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: come true if you're willing to fight for him. You
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: have to fight for your dreams. You have to fight
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: for the life of your dreams. You have to fight
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: to be free. You have to fight to be an entrepreneur.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: You have to fight to be successful. You have to fight.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Then they says, when you say I'm gonna leave my job,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: you have to fight. Then they says, when you say
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: I want a better job, you have to fight some
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: forces out there. When you go, you know what, I'm
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: gonna leave here to pursue a better position at another company,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: You're gonna have to fight for it. Change requires a fight.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: It just does. It just does. I don't know why
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: it is, man, but there's people always in our lives
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: somewhere who are going to fight us on decisions that
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: we make about ourselves. I don't know why it is,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: but it seems to happen for everybody. All of us
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: have to fight to get through to the other side.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: You have to fight through the wall of fear. You
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: have to fight through doubt, you have to fight through confusion.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: You got to fight through the nay say as. You
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: got to fight through haters. You gotta fight through the
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: fact that it didn't go your way. You have to
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: fight through the fact that you got up and you
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: just wasn't feeling yourself today. You gotta find a way
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: to fight through. You gotta find something in you that
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: makes you keep fighting even when you don't. There's a
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: point that stands at a point that says, if you
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: can force your heart, your nerve, and your s new
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: to serve its turn long after it has gone, when
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: there is nothing left within you except the will to
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: say to them, hold on, you have to fight like that.
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: Not the funny thing about that line in that poem,
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: I think that's uh if if and I the stand
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: that the Stanzas says, if you can force your heart,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: your nerve and so new, so new is the fibers
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: that holds all your insights together. They called that some new,
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: those tenders or whatever it is. That that's stuff that
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: that there's lines and chords and fibers that hold your
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: heart and organs and all that stuff in place. If
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: you can force your heart, nerve and some new to
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: serve your turn long after it has gone, when there's
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: nothing left within you, accept the will to say to
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: them hold on. That's how you got to fight. That's
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: how you got to fight. And it's all right, but
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: make it a good fight. Don't lay down don't let
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: nobody punk you out your dreams. Don't let nobody trick
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you out of what God has for you. Don't let
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: the fact that you got to fight stop you from fighting.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: Life is a fight, man, It's a dog fight out here.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: They're not walking money up to your house. I'm sorry,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: they're not passing out you. They don't send free money
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: to nobody's house. You got to do something to get it.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: And if you really want to get it, you are
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: involved in a fight. Like it or not, that is
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: what we are in. We are in a fight, So
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: get with it. Stop punking out. It ain't time for that.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: You're in a fight. We are in a fight. Let's go.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: That's what it is every day. And if you think
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: it's not, keep sitting up in here lighting letting life
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: slap you upside your head, because that's exactly what he's
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: gonna do. You're in a fight, folks. You're in a
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: fight for your dreams. You are in a fight for
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: the life God has for you. You are in a
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: fight for your future. You are in a fight for
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: your promotion. You're in a fight for advancement. You're in
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: a fight to do life better. You are in a
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: fight to have more. You are in a fight to succeed.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: You are in a fight to overcome. You are in
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: a fight to beat illness. You are in a fight
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: every day of your life. What you think this is
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: you got to fight and make it a good fight.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Here's the tip to fighting. If you have God in
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: your life, you will not lose the fight. Period. That's
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: all I gotta tell you. If you have God in
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: your life, you will not lose the fight if you
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: include Him in the process. Seeing all of my fights,
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: he is my partner here, my tag teen partner. When
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: I tag him in, everybody in the ring need declared.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: All the people that take me to court falsely, all
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: the people who lie about me falsely, all the people
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: try to bring me down for self gain. Yeah, I'm
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: not over here by myself. I am protected by a
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: scripture Isaiah fifty four seventeen that no weapon formed against
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: me shall prosper. You come from me if you want to.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you, I'm gonna hand you the
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: scription get out the way. I've seen him do it
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: for me too many times. But I know I'm in
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: a fight. I just don't go to the fight alone.
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: You can't take a knife to a gunfight. Put God
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: in your life, and you cannot lose the fight, because
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: that's what we're in. We're in the fight. You feel me,
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: drop the mic, baby. That was a good one for all, Steve.
