- 0:14Speaker 1: just like the Milan buck bus things. And it's to
- 0:18Speaker 1: y'all to me, true good, to the hearty listening to me,
- 0:26Speaker 1: toach other for stoar hand, little quick hobby. Why don't
- 0:38Speaker 1: you join ye hobby, join me into being me? Honey said,
- 0:58Speaker 1: you got to turn Yeah, you gotta turn. Won't the
- 1:41Speaker 1: townhow at the time You've got to turn out to
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water? The water go? Comey, come on your back,
- 2:00Speaker 1: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody, you'll listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Hardy got a radio show man. I got something
- 2:12Speaker 1: I want to share with you today. I was I
- 2:14Speaker 1: was in the gym this morning and trainer Lee haney
- 2:18Speaker 1: Son sent him a text, and he sent him a
- 2:21Speaker 1: text this morning of m dude in the gym lifting
- 2:25Speaker 1: up huge weights, dumb bails, doing a bench press like
- 2:31Speaker 1: you know, you're just huge dumbbells. You know stuff I
- 2:34Speaker 1: ain't doing. No hunted some pounds and not really. She
- 2:37Speaker 1: was huge. I've never seen dumbbells this big. And the
- 2:40Speaker 1: man was pressing him, and Lee's son took a picture
- 2:43Speaker 1: of him and he sent this to his father. This
- 2:46Speaker 1: morning's father shared it with me. I want to share
- 2:48Speaker 1: with y'all because, man, I can't tell you highs explain
- 2:52Speaker 1: so much of your life. And when he showed the
- 2:55Speaker 1: man lifting this successive weight in the gym, he said, wow, Paul,
- 2:58Speaker 1: look at this dude right here, and he says. The
- 3:01Speaker 1: caption he put under it was, don't pray for it
- 3:05Speaker 1: to be easier, pray to be stronger. Don't pray for
- 3:09Speaker 1: it to be easier. Pray for you to be stronger.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Ain't that cold? See? I was thinking about that. As
- 3:16Speaker 1: soon as he said it, I said, man, I gotta
- 3:18Speaker 1: go on radio. I gotta tell everybody what I see now.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Don't pray for it to be easier, pray for you
- 3:26Speaker 1: to be stronger. Okay, let me tell you how important
- 3:29Speaker 1: that is now. I just heard it that way today,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and I'm sharing what you immediately because you know what
- 3:34Speaker 1: that has. It's gonna help me a lot, because oftentimes
- 3:38Speaker 1: I've done it indirectly, and then sometimes I've done it
- 3:41Speaker 1: all the wrong. Sometimes I've actually prayed for it to
- 3:45Speaker 1: be stronger. But I've also prayed sometimes for it to
- 3:48Speaker 1: be easier. I have done that and been guilty of
- 3:51Speaker 1: it myself. But from now on, after hearing that, I'm
- 3:54Speaker 1: changing my prayer because, see, you can't have it both ways.
- 3:59Speaker 1: You can't be strong and weak at the same time.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You're either gonna be strong or you're gonna be weak. Now,
- 4:05Speaker 1: if you keep asking God to make it easier, what
- 4:08Speaker 1: you are not asking for is for you to be
- 4:10Speaker 1: able to handle whatever happens. So the next thing that
- 4:14Speaker 1: comes along that you ain't worked your muscles on to
- 4:17Speaker 1: prepare you for, that's gonna thank you two. So what
- 4:21Speaker 1: I learned by that is sometimes I even I got
- 4:25Speaker 1: to change my prayer too. Now I do most of
- 4:27Speaker 1: the time, but I'm a human being and sometimes I
- 4:29Speaker 1: just wanted to go away. But now what I really
- 4:32Speaker 1: need to pray for is the strength all the time
- 4:35Speaker 1: to deal with whatever besets me, whatever comes in my way.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Because to become successful, and we've talked about this how
- 4:41Speaker 1: many times, it's hard. So since no one is gonna
- 4:46Speaker 1: be hard, why not asked for the strength to handle that. See,
- 4:51Speaker 1: stop praying for weaker moments, stop praying for it to
- 4:54Speaker 1: be easier. Stop asking God to make your way playing
- 4:57Speaker 1: and easy. Okay, now what now? You ain't worked your
- 5:00Speaker 1: muscles out to learn how to handle nothing? I was
- 5:03Speaker 1: at it this morning. I put a little more weight
- 5:05Speaker 1: on at least said, why man, you up any of
- 5:07Speaker 1: this morning? In order to grow? I got to change.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And you can't change if you're gonna stay the same.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You can't keep picking up the same for the pound. Dumbbails.
- 5:18Speaker 1: And you want some more results, you're gonna keep getting it.
- 5:21Speaker 1: If you keep doing what you've been doing. You're gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: keep getting what you've been getting. You cannot grow without
- 5:26Speaker 1: the change. So when we're talking to God and we're
- 5:29Speaker 1: asking God to make it easy for us, why the
- 5:32Speaker 1: growth at? Why to change at? No, you got to
- 5:36Speaker 1: ask God to make you stronger, not to make the
- 5:39Speaker 1: situation weaker. I'm changing my prayers. Man, I'm going at
- 5:43Speaker 1: him now with just just make me strong enough to
- 5:45Speaker 1: handle whatever happened, whatever come my way. Give me the
- 5:48Speaker 1: strip to handle it. And now whatever I see in
- 5:50Speaker 1: front of me that I'm trying to go after, that's
- 5:52Speaker 1: gonna require more. Give me the strip to do that too.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Help me be a stronger man, Help me be a
- 5:59Speaker 1: strong longer person. Help me be a stronger woman, a
- 6:04Speaker 1: stronger boy, a stronger girl, a stronger student, a stronger boss,
- 6:09Speaker 1: a stronger employee, a stronger leader, a stronger follower. Give
- 6:13Speaker 1: me that, give me stripped to do that. Stop asking
- 6:17Speaker 1: for it to be simple and easy and paved the
- 6:19Speaker 1: way what you want, man, The road to success is
- 6:22Speaker 1: always under construction. Always. It ain't ever paved and smooth
- 6:27Speaker 1: and easy. Look here, man, go out there to days,
- 6:29Speaker 1: try to be successful. See what you're gonna run into? Man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: As orange barrels is workers is detools. It's got craters
- 6:36Speaker 1: in the road with no warning signs on it. That's
- 6:38Speaker 1: how hard it is to be successful. The road to
- 6:41Speaker 1: success is always under construction. It ain't fit to smooth
- 6:45Speaker 1: out for you. You got to ask God for stripp
- 6:48Speaker 1: be what you're supposed to be. Not. Let's look at
- 6:50Speaker 1: him when you make a mistake and you're gonna make them.
- 6:54Speaker 1: We all do. We fall down, but we get up.
- 7:00Speaker 1: A saint is just a sinner who failed down, but
- 7:03Speaker 1: he didn't stay there. That's all A saint is. All
- 7:07Speaker 1: these Christians running their mouth with you about how how
- 7:10Speaker 1: fired up and save their are on all this. It
- 7:13Speaker 1: got all that but them people. Then people make mistakes
- 7:17Speaker 1: all the time, all the time. And see the moment
- 7:21Speaker 1: we as Christian people start telling people the truth about
- 7:24Speaker 1: being a Christian, more people can get interest interested in it.
- 7:28Speaker 1: But if you're gonna tell everybody this lie that you're
- 7:30Speaker 1: over here living this perfect life and everything and ever
- 7:33Speaker 1: since you came to God, your life being smooth, and
- 7:36Speaker 1: you don't have no and he didn't took all your pains?
- 7:38Speaker 1: And wait, what what? What? Who are you? Where? That?
- 7:43Speaker 1: Where that life at you're talking about having? Now? Ain't you?
- 7:47Speaker 1: But I heard you had to die to go there?
- 7:49Speaker 1: So what you're really talking about? Come on, man, I'm
- 7:53Speaker 1: talking to the cat that's in some real pain right now,
- 7:56Speaker 1: that's in some real trouble right now. The dude is
- 7:58Speaker 1: at the cross road right now. The dude has been
- 8:01Speaker 1: struggling and dealing with it for a long time. I'm
- 8:03Speaker 1: talking to the captors out there, been trying to figure
- 8:06Speaker 1: out what's wrong, man, Why I can't seem to get
- 8:09Speaker 1: it right. That's who I'm talking to. I'm saying, come
- 8:14Speaker 1: over here and give God to try. Come over here
- 8:16Speaker 1: with your imperfect self, with your imperfect ways, and watch
- 8:20Speaker 1: him change some things about you. Watch him give you
- 8:23Speaker 1: the strength. See what he did for me. Let me okay,
- 8:26Speaker 1: see best of well I can do is just tell
- 8:27Speaker 1: you what happened to me. See what it did for me?
- 8:29Speaker 1: Was it ain't so much. He just he just took
- 8:35Speaker 1: me and took how I wars and made me better
- 8:39Speaker 1: with it. I'm still an aggressive man. I'm probably not
- 8:44Speaker 1: gonna ever stop being aggressive. But he took that aggression
- 8:47Speaker 1: and he started shaping it. Now for the first twentilve
- 8:49Speaker 1: minutes and the morning, to be aggressive about me. Be
- 8:52Speaker 1: aggressive about the feelings you got towards me, your your father,
- 8:55Speaker 1: your leader, your God, your savior. Be aggressive, man. Tell
- 8:59Speaker 1: people how you made it, Steve aggressively since you want to,
- 9:02Speaker 1: since you're aggressive and I and I and you've been aggressive.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I made you be aggressive with that. Now, since you
- 9:09Speaker 1: like to tell it like it is, Steve, then tell
- 9:12Speaker 1: the truth or how it really is. How I do
- 9:14Speaker 1: for you, what I've done for you. Tell everybody you
- 9:17Speaker 1: know what I've done for you in a plain, simple
- 9:19Speaker 1: way so they can feel you. See, he ain't changed me.
- 9:23Speaker 1: He just made me better with it. When you get loud, hey, man,
- 9:27Speaker 1: every now I didn't get liued for me. You know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: you want to tell some jokes, you're real funny, tell
- 9:34Speaker 1: something funny, but let it be so more people can hear. See,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that's that's what he did for me. So for all
- 9:42Speaker 1: you casts out there, they're scared to come on over
- 9:44Speaker 1: here because you're scared it's gonna change you, turn you
- 9:46Speaker 1: into some little punk or you got to get sisted
- 9:49Speaker 1: up or something like that. And please, before you start
- 9:51Speaker 1: emailing me, that's not an anti gay remark. I'm talking about.
- 9:54Speaker 1: It's a lot of dudes out there that just don't
- 9:56Speaker 1: want to punk up and sisty up because they're scared
- 9:59Speaker 1: that what it's gonna do. Now, you got to come
- 10:00Speaker 1: over here and beat this little meek lamb laid off
- 10:02Speaker 1: the slaughter every Sunday. That ain't what it is over here.
- 10:06Speaker 1: God looking for me, God looking for for for real
- 10:11Speaker 1: soldiers out here. See, everybody I talked to don't want
- 10:14Speaker 1: to hear about Christianity, So I ain't got nothing for him.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Then how about that? How about that? I'm cool with that.
- 10:21Speaker 1: See every Christian ain't turning the other cheek. I ain't
- 10:24Speaker 1: there you slap me, man, hey, madam, Sorry, I don't.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I ain't there yet. But see I'm
- 10:30Speaker 1: a work in progress. He ain't through with me yet.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I might get to the point where I in turn
- 10:33Speaker 1: other cheek. I doubt it. I ain't. I ain't looking
- 10:37Speaker 1: for I ain't praying for that one. I'm I don't
- 10:40Speaker 1: for real about you, man, I'll be praying for most tramps.
- 10:44Speaker 1: So when I when you do slap me, when I
- 10:46Speaker 1: come back around, I'll come back nice. Oh slap me.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You won't slap me twice. I can promise you that.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Where am I going with this? Dve? Huh? I'm sorry?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Just remember what I told you. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:02Speaker 1: boards and girls, people from all around the world. You
- 11:06Speaker 1: are listening to the bad morning show in the world.

- 15:12Speaker 1: I was at the house child, You have been home
- 15:14Speaker 1: by yourself days in front of mirror. Hey, neighbors, time
- 15:19Speaker 1: I turned that down. They're going white man, get your ass.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I pay radio too. It's good to have a weekend
- 15:29Speaker 1: after Yeah, it was, man, it was it was good.
- 15:32Speaker 1: It was okay. I went shopping. I went to buy
- 15:37Speaker 1: I don't know what's happening, Steve, And then ladies, don't
- 15:39Speaker 1: you don't want to hear this. I'm not trying to
- 15:40Speaker 1: gross you out, but my draws is disappearing. I don't
- 15:44Speaker 1: know where they're going. I don't know. I don't know.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I don't know what. I don't know if they're walking
- 15:50Speaker 1: out or what's going on. Maybe my house cleaning is
- 15:54Speaker 1: stealing them. I don't know, but I get you know.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I go down there to get drunks. I'm I'm one down.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I'm like one. They're drowns left. I like, all nobody
- 16:07Speaker 1: in here win draws. But me, I go. I go
- 16:13Speaker 1: to buy me some rongs. Right now, they got the
- 16:17Speaker 1: draw store. I go to the draws sex draws, the
- 16:20Speaker 1: draw section of the store. Now they got they got
- 16:24Speaker 1: the real expensive draw Let me just how to buy draws.
- 16:26Speaker 1: First of all, if the draws are hanging up on
- 16:28Speaker 1: the wall. They're very expensive, all right, Yeah they got
- 16:34Speaker 1: them displayed on the wall. If they're on the wall,
- 16:37Speaker 1: all fancy them draws. I went over there, touch and
- 16:42Speaker 1: I flipped it over and saw the present like whoa, whoa,
- 16:46Speaker 1: that's way too much and paid for drogs. My drawers
- 16:49Speaker 1: should come something something to the pack. Okay, that's why
- 16:55Speaker 1: am I right? Something to the path boat to the pack.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Now to the pack, well to the back, sticks to
- 17:08Speaker 1: the back. But about large drough can't even get in
- 17:14Speaker 1: large drop. Didn't take them back. You can't take row back.
- 17:22Speaker 1: But you know, I just thought of men don't have
- 17:24Speaker 1: Victoria's secrets like we had. Women have Victorious stores and
- 17:29Speaker 1: all that. Yeah, yeah, men don't don't have you guys
- 17:34Speaker 1: don't have that uber drones that's yeah, well under t
- 17:38Speaker 1: shirts under Yeah, yeah. I bought a bunch of two
- 17:42Speaker 1: small damn drones that you wear. Man. I asked, I
- 17:47Speaker 1: need two, I need to it. Would you say, Steve Pack,
- 17:53Speaker 1: if I can buy on the wall on the wall.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I've never heard of underwear on the wall, ye in
- 17:59Speaker 1: the wall? Yeah. The expensive stores they have on the
- 18:03Speaker 1: one they like six this seven of dollars. That's comes
- 18:08Speaker 1: in a box. Why are you mumbling? We can't? Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 1: speak ups. I don't even want to talk about how
- 18:14Speaker 1: much your cost? Help us understand? But okay, let me preface.
- 18:19Speaker 1: You can if you put the draws on, you wear
- 18:24Speaker 1: them and they don't rise up on you. I wear
- 18:28Speaker 1: bossip for short draws. They don't even feel like they
- 18:33Speaker 1: own you. They're very d comfortable. They don't they you
- 18:37Speaker 1: can't get a wedge in them. You. They don't change positions,
- 18:41Speaker 1: they don't even they feel like skinn Okay, at least
- 18:46Speaker 1: three times a day, I got to get mad. How
- 18:48Speaker 1: much your pack of draws? A pack of draws? Uh?
- 18:52Speaker 1: That was a special all? So what I'm trying to say? Money? What?
- 18:59Speaker 1: That's good? No? Yeah, so about about twenty five for
- 19:03Speaker 1: the pack of three? Yeah that's about right. Yeah, But
- 19:06Speaker 1: these are not weggie provestein. These are not what you
- 19:09Speaker 1: gotta get these like junior. Three times a day, you
- 19:12Speaker 1: gotta get these out. Hello, it's too far, too far, guys.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And that's not too fash y. It is a wedgie.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It's not too fash three times a day it's too much.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I don't want to hear that. You don't want to
- 19:26Speaker 1: hear that, I understand with profit, sure, go back to bed.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I don't want to hear how much. It's just tall.
- 19:40Speaker 1: We can talk about that's why you mad stract stupid.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Theybody's draws, man, you won't have that? How much? How much?
- 19:54Speaker 1: How much we need? How much? Come? Let you put
- 20:01Speaker 1: the build up on it. Steve and I would just
- 20:05Speaker 1: tell them about the draws. I didn't want to get

- 20:28Speaker 1: And they watched himself, right, I don't. I can wear
- 20:33Speaker 1: this out the public. That's a different outfit for us.
- 20:41Speaker 1: No bad dollars for drunk one believe that's before he
- 20:49Speaker 1: gives us the prof exactly why right there, that's outfit
- 20:53Speaker 1: for me. And you got a lot of and you've
- 20:55Speaker 1: got a lot of these, and they're coming to box
- 21:00Speaker 1: in the box. They're coming to box a box, but
- 21:02Speaker 1: not somebody need to bring me draw a little to
- 21:04Speaker 1: my house. Help me? He said he would only wear
- 21:10Speaker 1: that put some going out. What's happening to everybody? Y'all
- 21:17Speaker 1: see my ninety dollars. You can't believe the pose that
- 21:21Speaker 1: I'm doing. Oh sorry, I didn't know your game, your
- 21:30Speaker 1: drug game, like you got a strong drug game? How
- 21:34Speaker 1: much of yours? J three? And that's what it all?
- 21:39Speaker 1: What if I That's what I say on right, that's
- 21:42Speaker 1: what we at. All Right, it's Monday running bow Town
- 21:48Speaker 1: is in the building. We have church complaints coming up
- 21:51Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show,
- 21:56Speaker 1: all right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:58Speaker 1: ms Am will be here. She's gonna data's on today's
- 22:01Speaker 1: national news and their headlines. But of course it is monthy, y'all,
- 22:05Speaker 1: and uh that means it's time for Reverend Motown and
- 22:07Speaker 1: Deacon Deaf Jam with today's church complaints. Yeah, m hm
- 22:18Speaker 1: m hmmm, m hm m hm m hm. We we
- 22:29Speaker 1: gravel on this monthy moment. Yeah, grateful, thankful and regretful
- 22:44Speaker 1: for today is today that the members ship showed a
- 22:51Speaker 1: lack of gratitude for the Institute shal building at airport
- 23:02Speaker 1: that I have built. Yeah, the day is called church complete?
- 23:10Speaker 1: How is it where every Monday they find something to
- 23:17Speaker 1: be ungrateful? Let's agive deacon and hell, what in the
- 23:23Speaker 1: world it rolled? Love pastor Brother Um, Brother James will Before,
- 23:31Speaker 1: who wears depends, Uh, seems to be going to the
- 23:35Speaker 1: bathroom in the middle of conversation and song. Yesterday while
- 23:40Speaker 1: singing it in the choir, he um when we thought
- 23:44Speaker 1: he got caught up in the song when he said,
- 23:51Speaker 1: but that wasn't the case. He was actually going and
- 23:56Speaker 1: the choir members are trying to put him out of
- 23:58Speaker 1: the choir. He's going in the middle of conversation and sound.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Well there, I want to or recommend the brother Willberfolds
- 24:11Speaker 1: excuse me. I was up late last night trying to
- 24:19Speaker 1: save souls at the strip club. Feathers in my mouth. Oh,
- 24:29Speaker 1: Brother Willberfolks was when depends and using the bath froom.
- 24:33Speaker 1: That is what depends is fold. There's a new product
- 24:37Speaker 1: that Brother Rayport introduced to me. It's clip on tidy
- 24:43Speaker 1: bowl air fresheno clip on kind of bow a fresh
- 24:48Speaker 1: Now you clip it on to your depend when if
- 24:52Speaker 1: you have an accident, it automatically sprayed. And so I'm
- 24:58Speaker 1: gonna ask Brother will Before to try that product for
- 25:01Speaker 1: us because we can't lose another quad member. We only
- 25:05Speaker 1: have seven or they don't want him because he's going
- 25:09Speaker 1: in the middle of that. You tell all them. I said,
- 25:11Speaker 1: brother will forces a fine tide pill and he gonna
- 25:16Speaker 1: stand there. They're gonna deal with it. We lose any
- 25:20Speaker 1: more quad members, we're gonna have a quotet, all right.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I don't listen your cow past I just bring you
- 25:28Speaker 1: the complainy okay uh. Sister Rachel gil Royd says she
- 25:34Speaker 1: um came to church the last two Sundays and she
- 25:38Speaker 1: was late and they gave her seat away. She normally
- 25:42Speaker 1: sits second row. Far Now Sister Darris Dixon has gotten
- 25:46Speaker 1: her seat to past two weeks. Now. The problem is
- 25:49Speaker 1: yesterday passed the church. After church, Sister Rachel took the
- 25:53Speaker 1: entire chair home with her in her car. Now, you
- 25:59Speaker 1: can't take a chairs from the church. She took the
- 26:03Speaker 1: chair from the second row, and that you're gonna have
- 26:08Speaker 1: to deal with that. But she took the chill. We
- 26:11Speaker 1: we're not gonna deal with that. That is what you
- 26:13Speaker 1: get around here. First of all, we don't have a
- 26:17Speaker 1: sign seating at the jackpot joint or ruder and the
- 26:21Speaker 1: all the reason she can fold the chair, Oh, it's
- 26:24Speaker 1: because y'all cheap man won't give enough money for us
- 26:26Speaker 1: to buy pews. That we had pews. You can't put
- 26:29Speaker 1: one of them in the truck of your car. So
- 26:32Speaker 1: now until we start giving a little bit moret of
- 26:35Speaker 1: purchase pews, is gonna be chasting, right, Okay, she one
- 26:43Speaker 1: problem creates another problem, and until we saw that problem,
- 26:47Speaker 1: the problem ain't gonna get solved. The church, say man,
- 26:50Speaker 1: man man again. The next complaint Sister Benny Jeane Marshall's
- 26:58Speaker 1: her seeing a dog is in the heat and has
- 27:02Speaker 1: been leading her to strange places to pass this man.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Sound of the dog was locked up in the middle
- 27:08Speaker 1: of the street with another doll and somebody poured hot
- 27:12Speaker 1: water on him to break him up the eye and
- 27:15Speaker 1: her dog ran off with the other dog. She's asking
- 27:18Speaker 1: that the church by her a new dog and get
- 27:21Speaker 1: the dog. You know, Spade, I knew that whatever you know,
- 27:24Speaker 1: so the dog won't get any heat. So, but that's
- 27:27Speaker 1: after you passed, if you want to get her another dog,
- 27:29Speaker 1: she's been a member for you. We're not gonna do
- 27:31Speaker 1: that with sister what is her name again, Sister Bernie
- 27:34Speaker 1: Jean Ben to Jean Marsha, what she gonna have to
- 27:39Speaker 1: do is start paying closure to the dog is leading
- 27:42Speaker 1: you the strange place. But she's blind. You're hearing should
- 27:46Speaker 1: be impellible. You got got it out in the middle
- 27:52Speaker 1: of the street and you don't low your ashes in
- 27:56Speaker 1: the middle of the street. Asked me to do that.
- 27:58Speaker 1: The dog and drugged you in alle. You didn't hear
- 28:01Speaker 1: the alley. The dog was doing it with another dog
- 28:08Speaker 1: and you don't hear that. Well, I don't hear that.
- 28:15Speaker 1: And I can hear that in my head. And ain't
- 28:17Speaker 1: that good? Amen? Amen? You can hear that. That that
- 28:24Speaker 1: that that's a that's a very distewished. That's a very distinguisher.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Both sound yeah that together. It's a dog. It's a dog.
- 28:47Speaker 1: But like I said, what is she doing? I still
- 28:51Speaker 1: would like to hear one more time here. It wasn't passed.
- 28:59Speaker 1: We have a real situation. Brother, Hispanic member, brother Javier Hernandez,
- 29:05Speaker 1: has been asking to build a wall around our church
- 29:09Speaker 1: to keep us safe from home and danger, and that
- 29:11Speaker 1: he wants to start this week since the glad is
- 29:15Speaker 1: fighting there says there is no gate to the wall.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Howavier says he's building a tunnel. He wants to be
- 29:22Speaker 1: completely safe. The call is up to you on getting
- 29:25Speaker 1: the wall started around the church. Obviously, I don't know
- 29:32Speaker 1: what the purpose of Xavier won. The wall around the
- 29:37Speaker 1: church we'll do. We're not building no wall hill at
- 29:43Speaker 1: the jackpot. We unlike the President, understanding that to have
- 29:51Speaker 1: people freely coming join us or else we wouldn't be
- 29:56Speaker 1: a church. Now. We're not building the wall on this
- 30:00Speaker 1: church all Cross Arizona. I don't give a damn horny
- 30:05Speaker 1: he say, cause you're gonna take a whole lot, You're
- 30:10Speaker 1: gonna have a hobby and everybody he knows, and they're
- 30:13Speaker 1: trying to build the wall, and I don't think they're
- 30:15Speaker 1: going right. Black people not gonna build a walk. Queen
- 30:20Speaker 1: staying in the sun. That loan is all right, Thank you, pastor,
- 30:27Speaker 1: and thank you Deacon. Coming up at the top of
- 30:30Speaker 1: the hour, National News. We'll be right back. You're listening
- 30:34Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, Steve. President
- 30:38Speaker 1: Trump tweeted on Saturday morning that the Golden State Warriors
- 30:43Speaker 1: are not welcome at the White House to celebrate their
- 30:46Speaker 1: two thousand, seventeen NBA championship. Uh, this is going to
- 30:50Speaker 1: the White House is considered a great honor for a
- 30:53Speaker 1: championship team Stefan Curry is hesitating. Therefore, the invitation is
- 30:59Speaker 1: withdraw on now. On Friday, UH Stefan Curry confirmed that
- 31:04Speaker 1: he announced he did not want to go to the
- 31:06Speaker 1: White House. Take a listen the things that he said
- 31:09Speaker 1: and the things that that he hasn't said, UM in
- 31:12Speaker 1: the right times, that we won't stand for it, and
- 31:15Speaker 1: by acting or and not going, hopefully that will UM
- 31:21Speaker 1: inspire some change when it comes to what we tolerate
- 31:24Speaker 1: in this country and what is accepted and what is
- 31:27Speaker 1: what we turn a blind eye to. UM. I mean,
- 31:31Speaker 1: it's not just the act of not going. There are
- 31:34Speaker 1: things that you have to do on the back end
- 31:35Speaker 1: to actually push that message into motion. UM. You can
- 31:39Speaker 1: talk about all the different personalities that have said things
- 31:41Speaker 1: and done things, from Kaepernier to UM, what happened to
- 31:45Speaker 1: my telist Benet to all sorts of you know, examples
- 31:49Speaker 1: of of what has going on in our country that
- 31:51Speaker 1: we need to kind of change, UM, And we all
- 31:54Speaker 1: are trying to do what we can. We're using our platforms,
- 31:56Speaker 1: using our opportunities to to shed light on that. So
- 31:59Speaker 1: that's kind of where I stand on it. I mean,
- 32:01Speaker 1: he has the right to say that. The the crazy
- 32:05Speaker 1: thing is is that this president has the time to
- 32:11Speaker 1: hear it and then tweet about it and resend the
- 32:15Speaker 1: invitation for the entire team, because quite exactly was Trump's tweet.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Somebody read that. To me, going to the White House
- 32:25Speaker 1: is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stefan
- 32:29Speaker 1: Curry is hesitating. Therefore the invitation is withdrawn right there,
- 32:36Speaker 1: Right there. You can't get any more petty from the
- 32:41Speaker 1: presidential office. It doesn't make any sense. If stefarn't carry
- 32:47Speaker 1: is hesitant, you resend the offer for the entire team. Yeah,
- 32:55Speaker 1: you can't invite me if I didn't want to go, though,
- 32:59Speaker 1: But I didn't want because he doesn't agree with the
- 33:02Speaker 1: President's policies. He does not agree with them. See, and
- 33:05Speaker 1: that's what it's not. It's only because you disagree with
- 33:11Speaker 1: what he said or done. Do you know how many
- 33:15Speaker 1: presidents have had teams up there filled with members who
- 33:19Speaker 1: didn't vote for that particular president. They went up there
- 33:24Speaker 1: for Bush and a lot of them guys didn't vote
- 33:26Speaker 1: for Bush, but Bush invited him to the White House.
- 33:29Speaker 1: It was being presidential. There's people up there it didn't
- 33:33Speaker 1: vote for Barack Obama for the Barack Obama invites all
- 33:36Speaker 1: championships teams because it's the presidential thing to do, right,
- 33:41Speaker 1: this guy is not presidential at all. Did you hear
- 33:47Speaker 1: what he's said when he was speaking in Alabama about
- 33:51Speaker 1: the football players we come back. I'm gonna talk about
- 33:56Speaker 1: that because that right there is really really huge, and
- 33:59Speaker 1: I have something to say about that. It's just it's
- 34:03Speaker 1: it's just this, It's just I mean, man, I'm this
- 34:08Speaker 1: president is beyond divisive. I mean, he takes one step
- 34:11Speaker 1: forward and two steps back. Make America hate. That's what
- 34:14Speaker 1: he's doing. Make America hate. All right, Steve, she's here
- 34:19Speaker 1: introduced miss Anne. Please, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Ann trip.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, Steve, thanks everybody. This is andreed
- 34:27Speaker 1: with the news and let's get to it. But first
- 34:28Speaker 1: I gotta tell you about Tennessee. A woman was shot
- 34:31Speaker 1: to death yesterday by a masked guvernman who opened fire
- 34:34Speaker 1: in the parking lot outside of church in Antioch, Tennessee.
- 34:37Speaker 1: That's right outside Nashville, a little before noon, and seven
- 34:40Speaker 1: other people were injured. Even though the shooter turned the
- 34:42Speaker 1: gun on himself, he survived. He is under arrest that
- 34:46Speaker 1: no ideas out here, but the shooter is said to
- 34:48Speaker 1: be a twenty five year old immigrant from the su
- 34:50Speaker 1: Dan that was in Tennessee yesterday. Also yesterday, some two
- 34:54Speaker 1: NFL players demonstrate their defiance of the remark President Trump
- 34:57Speaker 1: Baden Alabama on Friday about players who feel a need
- 35:00Speaker 1: to protest injustice and team owners. You love to see
- 35:03Speaker 1: one of these NFL owners when somebody disrespects our flag,
- 35:07Speaker 1: to say, get that son of up, chop the field
- 35:10Speaker 1: right now out he's fired. The protests began overseas in London,
- 35:16Speaker 1: with more than a dozen in Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville
- 35:19Speaker 1: Jaguars going down on one knee as the Star Spangled
- 35:22Speaker 1: banner was played. In Boston, about twenty Patriots knelt, while
- 35:25Speaker 1: Trump friend Tom Brady locked arms with teammates in Chicago
- 35:29Speaker 1: the Pittsburgh Steel Estate in the locker room during the
- 35:32Speaker 1: playing of the anthem. Demonstrations also went beyond the NFL.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell's become the first Major League
- 35:39Speaker 1: baseball player to take a knee during the national anthem.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Maxwell's protest took place before Saturday night's game against the
- 35:45Speaker 1: Texas Rangers. Meanwhile, in the NBA, Steph Curry's having his
- 35:49Speaker 1: say after first saying he didn't think he'd attend the
- 35:52Speaker 1: traditional White House dinner given for each year's NBA champs anyway,
- 35:55Speaker 1: and then seeing President Trump resend his invitation to the
- 35:58Speaker 1: star player via Twitter, not going hopefully that will inspire
- 36:02Speaker 1: some change when it comes to what we tolerate in
- 36:05Speaker 1: this country and what is accepted and what we turn
- 36:07Speaker 1: a blind eye too. And now Curry's whole teams decided
- 36:09Speaker 1: to skip the White House dinner, Golden State Warriors saying
- 36:12Speaker 1: they'll go to washing in d C. But they're not
- 36:13Speaker 1: going to the White House. They'll go to the neighborhoods
- 36:15Speaker 1: and talk to children and all that kind of stuff. Also,
- 36:18Speaker 1: at this past weekend's Global Citizens Concert on the Great
- 36:21Speaker 1: Lawn in Central Park in New York City, Stevie Wonder
- 36:25Speaker 1: not only performed, but he also took a knee in
- 36:28Speaker 1: solidarity with Colin Kaepernick. Another issue on the agenda here
- 36:33Speaker 1: the issue of head injuries to the National Football League players.
- 36:36Speaker 1: President Trump appears to be critical of the NFL for
- 36:38Speaker 1: trying to prevent such injuries. He tweets about that that
- 36:41Speaker 1: quote penalties for hard hits are ruining the game. That's
- 36:45Speaker 1: according to him. For A thousand Army reservist now in
- 36:48Speaker 1: Puerto Rico joined the island's recovery effort from her Came Maria.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Advisories are up before the waters off North Carolina thanks
- 36:55Speaker 1: to her Came Maria, which is still a Category two
- 36:57Speaker 1: storm there again, it's not expect to hit land North.
- 37:00Speaker 1: A line of spectrum, bring a lot of rain, a
- 37:01Speaker 1: lot of wind, and another earthquake has shaken Mexico, this
- 37:04Speaker 1: time in the southern state of Ohaka. They say that
- 37:06Speaker 1: this latest quake was felt in Mexico City, registering six
- 37:10Speaker 1: point one the Richter scale, sending folks running into the streets.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Of course, this follows Tuesday's quake, which is so far
- 37:15Speaker 1: killed more than two hundred and eighty people. Talk to
- 37:18Speaker 1: the box office this weekend, Kingsman, and it was the
- 37:20Speaker 1: seconded and that's about it, which brought another thirty million dollars.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Back to twenty minutes after the hour, eugenea Butterfly to
- 37:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. In effect, you're listening to the
- 37:33Speaker 1: show um Steve introduced Ja so Jay Can introduced the
- 37:39Speaker 1: butterfly please what today? Because I do? Oh that's it.
- 38:01Speaker 1: That's how we get one more times that. Good morning everyone?
- 38:06Speaker 1: I know the photo? Okay, whistling wait in Germany's he's
- 38:40Speaker 1: running out of time for a segment. Guys. Oh yeah
- 38:43Speaker 1: that's true. Sure is correct? Okay are butterfly? Yes, good
- 38:50Speaker 1: morning Shirley in Turkey. We don't know Turkey. You don't
- 38:56Speaker 1: even speak urt Turkey being disrespectful. Do we let me
- 39:10Speaker 1: do this because it's it's starting to happen a lot.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Do we need to have a meeting about my second
- 39:17Speaker 1: You know, I wanted to instrut from j Anthony Brown
- 39:19Speaker 1: and I got it. But it's just just y'all drag
- 39:22Speaker 1: and dragon and it's just it's too much. You know,
- 39:25Speaker 1: y'all gonna make me take a knee on this now,
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm serious. I would take a knee on this, but
- 39:46Speaker 1: it's gone too far. They're gonna make me take a
- 39:48Speaker 1: knee on this. I'm really I will protest this our issue.
- 39:56Speaker 1: I'm seeing to let you know, I'm seeing, I take
- 40:01Speaker 1: two knees. I need it. I know that's right. Do
- 40:11Speaker 1: you know the butter fly? Because I do. I'm serious, Stephen,
- 40:17Speaker 1: I wouldn't take a knee. If you don't the bank,
- 40:19Speaker 1: I'm off of me. And don't you know, I mean
- 40:23Speaker 1: almost over butterfly. I'm just saying I can't do. I'm
- 40:31Speaker 1: taking because what it is that I can't It's almost
- 40:34Speaker 1: almost go, butterfly, I'm taking a knee. God, you're listening
- 40:55Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, steven Sunday was Week
- 40:59Speaker 1: three of the NFL season, and some of the NFL
- 41:02Speaker 1: players were very upset at President Trump. On Friday, at
- 41:05Speaker 1: a rally for Alabama Republican Senator Senate candidate I should
- 41:09Speaker 1: say Luther Strange, Donald Trump said he thought NFL team
- 41:13Speaker 1: owners should fire players who were test standing for the
- 41:16Speaker 1: national anthem by taking a knee or sitting down. Take
- 41:20Speaker 1: a listen. Wouldn't you love to see one of these
- 41:22Speaker 1: NFL owners when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, get
- 41:26Speaker 1: that son of a drop the field right now out.
- 41:30Speaker 1: He's fired. He's fired. Really, President, really, Mr President. First
- 41:39Speaker 1: of all, this is the one I've been waiting on
- 41:42Speaker 1: because I paid very close attentions. First of all, the
- 41:46Speaker 1: term s ob coming out of the mouth of the President.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I don't know what we just do to man. I
- 41:52Speaker 1: just don't know why why we don't have any level
- 41:55Speaker 1: of accountability for the president A nothing. And I'm so
- 42:00Speaker 1: sick of this bipartisan country we live in where all
- 42:04Speaker 1: the Republicans are a okay with everything he says, and
- 42:07Speaker 1: then all the Democrats hate everything. How is it that
- 42:10Speaker 1: you can be a Republican and not see what's wrong here?
- 42:14Speaker 1: You've got to think something is wrong when the president
- 42:17Speaker 1: of your country talks like this as an example to
- 42:20Speaker 1: your kids. So that's where we then came down to.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Next he says, wouldn't you like to see and then
- 42:28Speaker 1: the fire them, get those s obs out of there,
- 42:31Speaker 1: and the crowd goes wild. Did you hear that? That's
- 42:34Speaker 1: wants that's the applau. He lives for that applause. Let
- 42:37Speaker 1: me point out you the genius of the state he
- 42:41Speaker 1: said this in Alabama, who got an NFL team. Make
- 42:48Speaker 1: the statement in the state of Alabama that you're gonna
- 42:51Speaker 1: get rid of some players off a roll tide and
- 42:55Speaker 1: players off a war eagle, and see how many cheers
- 42:58Speaker 1: you get it. Get Church Mouse quiet over there. You
- 43:01Speaker 1: try to take their beloved college football programs from them
- 43:06Speaker 1: in any capacity, and watch what happened to your ass.
- 43:11Speaker 1: But see he said about the NFL in a state
- 43:15Speaker 1: that don't have an NFL team, all divisive. Even owners
- 43:20Speaker 1: of football teams came out and spoke against this, even
- 43:24Speaker 1: Roger Goodell out which stunned me something. And I just
- 43:32Speaker 1: watched this guy in these crowds this. You did this
- 43:34Speaker 1: in Alabama, man, See, go to New York and say
- 43:38Speaker 1: let's get rid of the players. Go anywhere where they
- 43:40Speaker 1: have an NFL team. Now, the people in Alabama are
- 43:43Speaker 1: some great football fans, but go down there and say
- 43:47Speaker 1: you're gonna take players off of Crimson Tide or War Eagles,
- 43:52Speaker 1: and see what happened because they don't play that about
- 43:55Speaker 1: their football. Why would you say that, man, that disrespects
- 43:58Speaker 1: our flag. You're not even listening to what the players
- 44:02Speaker 1: are saying. This is not to disrespect the flag. It
- 44:07Speaker 1: is to draw attention to say, hey, we as a
- 44:10Speaker 1: country have got to be more inclusive and we want
- 44:14Speaker 1: your attention. They're doing it in the form of peaceful protests. Now,
- 44:18Speaker 1: if we start setting fires and looting, then what you
- 44:21Speaker 1: know what we got dead. They're doing in a peaceful
- 44:24Speaker 1: form of protests, and you have no respect for the
- 44:28Speaker 1: people's right to protest. That's what's file about this, dude, man,
- 44:33Speaker 1: It's just not Yeah. As we mentioned, Roger Goodell, NFL commissioners,
- 44:39Speaker 1: slammed the President for his remarks. He released this statement,
- 44:42Speaker 1: The NFL and our players are at our best when
- 44:45Speaker 1: we helped create a sense of unity in our country
- 44:48Speaker 1: and our culture. There is no better example than the
- 44:52Speaker 1: amazing response from our clubs and players to the terrible
- 44:56Speaker 1: natural disasters we've experienced over the last month. Divisive comments
- 45:00Speaker 1: like these demonstrate uh and unfortunate lack of respect for
- 45:04Speaker 1: the NFL, are great game and all of our players,
- 45:08Speaker 1: and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good
- 45:12Speaker 1: our clubs and players represent in our communities. Numerous NFL
- 45:16Speaker 1: players address the president via social media, stating, uh so
- 45:20Speaker 1: the players are s o b s for protesting social
- 45:23Speaker 1: and racial injustices in this country. But the but. At
- 45:27Speaker 1: the rally in August after the violent white supremacist rally
- 45:31Speaker 1: that left a woman dead in Charlottesville, Trump praised the
- 45:34Speaker 1: very fine people on both sides. What that's yes, it is,
- 45:40Speaker 1: you know what, man, that's that's a great point for
- 45:43Speaker 1: them cats to make, these cats of athletes. But they're
- 45:46Speaker 1: thinking people will be right back. You're listening to the
- 45:50Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming up at the
- 45:53Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. You
- 45:55Speaker 1: don't want to miss today's strawberry letter. Right now, it's
- 45:59Speaker 1: time for the next few and the brank phone call. Yo,
- 46:02Speaker 1: trash stink period, trash though your trash stink? Okay, smell
- 46:09Speaker 1: good you you don't smell some trash stink stink louder
- 46:14Speaker 1: than the rest of them, your trash stink. You know
- 46:16Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. Hello, Hello, Hey, I'm trying to uh,
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach swerve. Yeah, this man, Well, how
- 46:26Speaker 1: you doing? Man, I'm on it. I'm one of your neighbors,
- 46:28Speaker 1: but I'm I'm one street over from you. You over
- 46:31Speaker 1: there your Yeah, that's light a little bit this rico. Man,
- 46:37Speaker 1: how you doing. I'm I'm one of your neighbors on
- 46:39Speaker 1: the next street though. How are you doing? Okay, I'm
- 46:41Speaker 1: doing good? But how you how you get my Another?
- 46:43Speaker 1: One of the neighbors on your block gave me the number. Man,
- 46:45Speaker 1: we was we were having a little situation. Wanted to
- 46:48Speaker 1: reach out to tell you, uh, some stuff going on
- 46:50Speaker 1: here in the neighborhood. Man and wanted to try to
- 46:52Speaker 1: make you aware of it. Well, what's going on? Uh?
- 46:55Speaker 1: It seemed like, um, well you know the trash man
- 46:58Speaker 1: run on on two of the okay and sad then
- 47:03Speaker 1: right now, the problem is that that that that a
- 47:06Speaker 1: lot of people I guess since the holiday just pass,
- 47:08Speaker 1: you know a lot of people got their stuff out
- 47:10Speaker 1: on the curve already. Right right now. The problem is
- 47:16Speaker 1: that that that they're saying, man, is that yo, yo,
- 47:18Speaker 1: trash is actually really really fouled. It's smelling and smelling
- 47:23Speaker 1: pretty bad. And we wanted to call you man and
- 47:25Speaker 1: see if you do hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 47:28Speaker 1: You say you calling me because you spill my trash?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Well yeah, they say, yours is the one that's really
- 47:34Speaker 1: speaking man. If you could actually maybe put it in,
- 47:36Speaker 1: put it back in the in the in the garage
- 47:38Speaker 1: and tip tuesday, you know, trash and no gage. That's
- 47:42Speaker 1: why I put it outside. I didn't have enough room
- 47:44Speaker 1: in the garage. Okay, what's doing and who is everybody
- 47:48Speaker 1: saying my trashing? Hey listen, I'm not saying you know
- 47:53Speaker 1: what I want to tell you. If everybody in the
- 47:55Speaker 1: hood got a fire with my trash, thank you tell Okay,
- 48:00Speaker 1: what what what? What? We we we've discussed that too,
- 48:02Speaker 1: but listen, listen, we don't want no trouble. Man. If
- 48:04Speaker 1: we could just get you to put your trays back
- 48:06Speaker 1: and I'm not moving over Chad, I paid rent over here,
- 48:10Speaker 1: my brother, Hey, we're not gonna go back, and I'm
- 48:13Speaker 1: not gonna go back. Don't give what you're gonna do.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I'm telling you what I paid. Man that don't tell
- 48:17Speaker 1: me to just over here. Okay, well listen, man, aren't
- 48:20Speaker 1: you concerned that your trash is thinking and reading through
- 48:23Speaker 1: the whole neighborhood. I don't give a damn who smell
- 48:26Speaker 1: my chance? And they got a problem with it, tell
- 48:28Speaker 1: them come take it out still the end and saying
- 48:30Speaker 1: out there, okay, what that's the problem. The problem is
- 48:33Speaker 1: is that you took it out, and you took it
- 48:34Speaker 1: out too early. You shouldn't have put this out till
- 48:36Speaker 1: Tuesday morning. And now who money side? If I put
- 48:41Speaker 1: it out there and saying that yesterday, come get it.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I'm not gonna go back and forth with you. Man. Okay, damn,
- 48:47Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. You ain't gonna call me telling
- 48:49Speaker 1: me take my I pay rent over here, okay, how
- 48:53Speaker 1: if everybody's smelling my chad out of everybody on the
- 48:57Speaker 1: I don't know for my understanding, it's just a couple
- 48:59Speaker 1: of holes in it and some some food or something
- 49:02Speaker 1: must have got out. I don't know if one of
- 49:03Speaker 1: the roads or dog got into what the case may be.
- 49:06Speaker 1: But you know, we need to try to get your
- 49:08Speaker 1: trash in the backyard. My trash ain't going down well,
- 49:12Speaker 1: And how come you the one? How come I next
- 49:16Speaker 1: name ain't called? How come you around the corner and
- 49:19Speaker 1: you called? Well, put you up to this where everybody
- 49:22Speaker 1: smelling it. I was just fortunate enough to get your
- 49:24Speaker 1: phone number. I said, well, look, I just gone and
- 49:26Speaker 1: call it myself. I tell you you and he you
- 49:29Speaker 1: my phone. I'm thinking that going. Okay, well, listen, let's
- 49:35Speaker 1: swerve this way. We decide on the case. We got
- 49:37Speaker 1: to this situation with you, I touch that. I just
- 49:41Speaker 1: come over there and put the trash in your backyard,
- 49:43Speaker 1: and just Tuesday morning and tunesday morning, I'll come back
- 49:46Speaker 1: over there and take it out that way. All the
- 49:48Speaker 1: smell of being in your backyard in the you said,
- 49:51Speaker 1: you go, I'm gonna come over there and put the
- 49:53Speaker 1: trash in your backyard. So the so the smell that
- 49:57Speaker 1: fu I mean, that's that Let me let me it
- 50:00Speaker 1: just said if you come over here, you might well
- 50:02Speaker 1: call plies that that's who you're gonna need. You come
- 50:04Speaker 1: over here, bring all of them. They had a problem
- 50:07Speaker 1: saying my chance, see to come over here and take
- 50:09Speaker 1: it out. Man. You I mean you, you're trying. You're
- 50:12Speaker 1: trying to you're trying to act like it don't smell. Man,
- 50:14Speaker 1: you don't give them if it's man, I'll tell you
- 50:16Speaker 1: what I do. I go out of poke. So right,
- 50:18Speaker 1: So when that when that when they helped you out
- 50:20Speaker 1: to look okay, But see, that's not what the people
- 50:23Speaker 1: in the neighborhood want. We want you to give a
- 50:26Speaker 1: damn what take won't I'm telling you what I'm gonna do?
- 50:29Speaker 1: And how do did you get my phone over any down?
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'd already told you, man, I got your number for
- 50:33Speaker 1: one of the neighbors on your street that said they
- 50:36Speaker 1: don't want to get should have left one to the right.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Which one? Listen? Listen, listen, swear won't you get to
- 50:43Speaker 1: the meet of the problem. The problem is your trash think,
- 50:46Speaker 1: don't how is my chance? How to hell y'all pippoint
- 50:49Speaker 1: my saying, how to everybody else trade on the block,
- 50:52Speaker 1: and how the hell you smell like? I don't know, man,
- 50:54Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. I don't know if
- 50:55Speaker 1: you're trans busted, otpen up what the deal is. But
- 50:57Speaker 1: everybody's saying. Everybody's saying this word trash. That's that's streak,
- 51:02Speaker 1: that's too much. Pads of needs be going do time
- 51:05Speaker 1: and see what I think. It's that chance out there,
- 51:08Speaker 1: and it's gonna say out there I said it ain't
- 51:10Speaker 1: come get it and you ain't coming over there. Okay, now,
- 51:12Speaker 1: let's see that's where you're wrong. Swarm out. I ain't
- 51:14Speaker 1: roming over there. I'm coming over there, and I'm gonna
- 51:16Speaker 1: take that trance and put it in the backyard to too.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Now if you're gonna try to get in my way, whatever,
- 51:21Speaker 1: but I got to come on and get the chance.
- 51:23Speaker 1: And if I tell you what, bring y'all over here
- 51:25Speaker 1: right now, I'll put on my tooth. I'm standing on
- 51:27Speaker 1: the point right now. Bring at the call. Come on,
- 51:29Speaker 1: we call over whatever you were, you go on re
- 51:32Speaker 1: go on one street over and I'm smelling your man trash.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Take your chans out my make smell, but you ain't
- 51:39Speaker 1: there to come take it out and set you that
- 51:42Speaker 1: a Listen, swords, I'm gonna say this word. I call
- 51:45Speaker 1: them like, excuse me, tell call about it? Who in
- 51:48Speaker 1: the house sold? You called me swerved? Called me back that? Okay,

- 52:18Speaker 1: fort right now, come on over and meet me about
- 52:20Speaker 1: the mask. Thank you trash. You guys, I'm standing right
- 52:24Speaker 1: and doing now. Okay, Well I tell you what. I'm
- 52:26Speaker 1: on my way, nah, and guess what I'm gonna do
- 52:29Speaker 1: when I get over there. You ain't gonna do you're
- 52:32Speaker 1: gonna do. I'm gonna tell you my damn name when
- 52:34Speaker 1: I get over there. My name is Niphe You time
- 52:37Speaker 1: me from the Steve Harvey Lorny Show. You just got
- 52:39Speaker 1: franked by your cousin or reef h than out of ya?
- 52:51Speaker 1: Hey man, I gotta ask you something, dog, what is
- 52:54Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 52:57Speaker 1: show in the land? Was that pretty funky? Right down?
- 53:04Speaker 1: What y'all think? Pretty funky? Oh my god, it's my time.
- 53:12Speaker 1: I just had to tell it's my time. As my
- 53:15Speaker 1: grandmama said, I have coming to my own. What happens
- 53:18Speaker 1: when you walk out on the stage, nephews, I ain't
- 53:20Speaker 1: gonna lie to you to walk out on stage and
- 53:22Speaker 1: get them applause. As soon as you walk out there
- 53:23Speaker 1: and ain't saying nothing yet it feels good anyway. Yeah,
- 53:29Speaker 1: that's love. Uh huh. So you have to wait before
- 53:31Speaker 1: you speak because of remember Michael Jackson used to do that.
- 53:37Speaker 1: So you and Michael Jackson, Now I ain't Mike. You
- 53:43Speaker 1: remember Michael Jackson used to just walk out on stage
- 53:46Speaker 1: and not open his mouth, not utter a word, and
- 53:49Speaker 1: the crowd would go crazy. It sounds like that's what
- 53:52Speaker 1: nephews saying. Happened to him. So you're up there with
- 53:54Speaker 1: them now, right up there, man, Yeah, and they started
- 54:00Speaker 1: going next before you anything and there he says, I'm lit.
- 54:11Speaker 1: And if he said it, he means it's happening. I'm
- 54:13Speaker 1: with it. The man is not gonna come on here
- 54:15Speaker 1: and a lot he's saying when he walks out there,
- 54:18Speaker 1: it's crazy. Right back, we gotta go. You're listening to
- 54:35Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, up next, we
- 54:38Speaker 1: have the Strawberry Letter, of course. But first, what is
- 54:41Speaker 1: going on with the war of words between President Trump
- 54:44Speaker 1: and North Korea? Is Kim Jong un? Recently, President Trump
- 54:49Speaker 1: praised China's Central Bank for ordering other Chinese banks to
- 54:53Speaker 1: see his business with North Korea. He also warned that
- 54:56Speaker 1: North Korea will be destroyed if it attacks the u
- 55:00Speaker 1: US or its allies. Kim John Oong answered that threat
- 55:04Speaker 1: by calling Trump mentally deranged. Yeah, it's getting crazy right.
- 55:10Speaker 1: This past Friday, the President told a crowd of supporters
- 55:13Speaker 1: in Huntsville, Alabama that rocket Man, that's what he calls
- 55:17Speaker 1: won Um. Rocket Man should have been handled a long
- 55:21Speaker 1: time ago, and Trump went on to say he will
- 55:25Speaker 1: handle a little rocket. Man. Yeah, really, and you can't
- 55:31Speaker 1: stop it. This is what this is. This is a
- 55:33Speaker 1: fight that's going I certainly and we involved in the fight.
- 55:37Speaker 1: We're gonna be involved in. Let's see, his son won't
- 55:40Speaker 1: have to go, None of his sons will have to go,
- 55:43Speaker 1: his daughter will have to go. You know who's gonna
- 55:46Speaker 1: have to pay for this war? Words are people in
- 55:49Speaker 1: the military. And it's not necessary. Look, man, this just dude,
- 55:53Speaker 1: this rhetoric, this it's just non presidential. Man, it's just
- 55:57Speaker 1: not how to be president. That's not a ligal. No,
- 56:00Speaker 1: it's not a good And I don't know how to
- 56:02Speaker 1: be president, but I do have a clear picture of
- 56:04Speaker 1: how not to be picture of how not to do. Yeah,
- 56:10Speaker 1: and this guy's doing it, man, I mean man, I
- 56:13Speaker 1: think he's doing this to keep this investigation off our minds.
- 56:16Speaker 1: And oh absolutely agree with that. The Russia pro Russia
- 56:22Speaker 1: pro right and anything you can do to keep this
- 56:25Speaker 1: investigation off our minds and keep us unfocused from what
- 56:28Speaker 1: he really did, all of him and his little cronies
- 56:31Speaker 1: did and that and still are doing in the White
- 56:33Speaker 1: House is helping him because we're not especially with his base.
- 56:38Speaker 1: It's helping him, especially with his basic man he is
- 56:43Speaker 1: he looks so presidential when he was down there in Florida. Yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 1: he looks like this is what. Yeah, when he when
- 56:50Speaker 1: he was when he passed the bill against the Republicans
- 56:53Speaker 1: wishes for the hurricane relief because they wanted to tie
- 56:57Speaker 1: it to building over the wall US I may not
- 56:59Speaker 1: be another wall, but to something else. Then when he
- 57:02Speaker 1: passed when he said he would go stick with DOCO,
- 57:05Speaker 1: they got mad because they wanted to tie that to
- 57:07Speaker 1: board a security. Then, you know, I was thinking, wow, man,
- 57:12Speaker 1: this guy's making a couple of steps towards the light.
- 57:15Speaker 1: But he takes one step forward, which ain't often and twelve, baby,
- 57:20Speaker 1: take a whole budget back about this NBA team not
- 57:27Speaker 1: coming to White House, Look, man, you got to be
- 57:30Speaker 1: bigger than that. If you've got to be the president,
- 57:34Speaker 1: you just gotta be bigger. Man. There were people that
- 57:37Speaker 1: didn't want to come to the White House when President
- 57:39Speaker 1: Barack Obama was there. That's right. He kept on Tommy Tommy.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Tom Brady didn't even go. I don't think his wife
- 57:51Speaker 1: wants to be in the White House. I'm talking about
- 57:58Speaker 1: the way she's slapping and bank. He is really mad
- 58:06Speaker 1: at Obama that more people, even though he's the president,
- 58:09Speaker 1: more people still like Barack Obama than him, and he
- 58:12Speaker 1: can't take it. He just approval rating that Obama my
- 58:17Speaker 1: head at President Obama's lowest approval. He'll never reach that.
- 58:23Speaker 1: And after let me let me tell you something. Over
- 58:28Speaker 1: the weekend. The first major League baseball player neil, the
- 58:35Speaker 1: first major League baseball players year and a lot of
- 58:39Speaker 1: NFL neil yesterday to go yes Stevie Wonder was at
- 58:43Speaker 1: a concert. He kneeled, he took a knee, and then
- 58:47Speaker 1: he took two knees because he says he's praying for
- 58:50Speaker 1: the country. You know, when you're on you both knees. Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 1: a lot of them. A lot of the strippers are
- 58:56Speaker 1: supporting the football players and they're taking a knee. So
- 58:59Speaker 1: they decided, all right, we gotta let's get to the letter.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Nephew Strawberry supporting this one right here subject. Our coworker
- 59:25Speaker 1: has a problem with body odor, Dear Stephen Shirley. For
- 59:30Speaker 1: quite some time now, I and some of my female
- 59:32Speaker 1: black coworkers have been discussing a very delicate problem. We're
- 59:37Speaker 1: all women in our fifties who thought we could deal
- 59:40Speaker 1: with just about anything. However, a little over a year ago,
- 59:43Speaker 1: we got a new coworker, also a black female, has
- 59:47Speaker 1: a severe problem with personal hygiene. She wears unkept clothes
- 59:51Speaker 1: that cling to her in the most unflattering way, dirty sneakers,
- 59:55Speaker 1: and stretched out slouch socks. Her hair needs to be
- 59:59Speaker 1: at the very least washed and combed. We've given up
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: on her using a straightening comb or getting a perm
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: or well maintained natural hairstyle in parentheses. Last, but not least,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: and to add insult to injury, she has unpleasant body odors.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Some days it smells like urine and some days it
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: smells like an unbathed woman uh at certain times of
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the month. We have discussed over and over various possible
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: ways to talk to her about this. We feel embarrassed
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: for her and want to approach her before one of
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: our white coworkers decides to do so. We feel strongly
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: that this should come from one of us. This woman
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: is in her forties, is quite intelligent as a wonderfully
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: pleasant personality, speaks articulately, and she possesses an obvious natural
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: beauty under all of that negative stuff. Please help with
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley we don't know how to proceed in a
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: kind and gentle way. I would even be willing to
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: take her shopping for several decent outfit suitable for working
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: in our professional, high profile office. Sincerely, concerned coworkers. Uh, well,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: dear concerned coworkers. UM, you're right, this is a tough call,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: you know, especially if you want to be gentle and
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: delicate about it. Um. You know, I feel bad that
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: you have to both smell her and tell her, but
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you gotta do it. I mean, you absolutely have to
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: do it. Why should you have to come to work
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: and be subjected to this. Uh. Sometimes you know, if
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: people don't know, they just don't know. I mean everybody
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: just wasn't taught these things, Okay, they just were not. Um,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: I suggest you and your group of ladies at work
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: maybe take her to lunch and then just talk to her.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Just get it out, I mean, tell her you don't
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: want to hurt her feelings, but it's it's a problem.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: It's a problem all through the office, and actually tell
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: her that she needs uh to wash and you know
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: suggested you take her shopping that you would, but you know,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: just tell you're not trying to hurt the feelings it is.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: It is hard, but you gotta do it. Twelve minutes after,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: we'll be ain't what I see. I'm going going a
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: whole another way, right, No, no shutter, I'll just responding St.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Steven Sherley. For quite some time now, some of my
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: female black coworkers have been discussing a very delicate problem.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: We are all women in our fifties who thought we
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: could deal with just about anything have A little over
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: a year ago we got a new coworker, also a
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: black female, who has a severe problem with personal hygiene.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: She wears unkept clothes and cling to her in the
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: most unflattering way, dirty sneakers, stretched out slout socks, and
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: hair needs to be at the very least Washington come.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: We've given up on her using a straightening home and
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: getting a perm or will maintain natural hairstyle. Last but
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: not least, and to add in so to injury, she
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: has unpleasant body over. Some days it smells like yurine,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and some days it smells like unbathed women do at
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: a certain time of the month. We have discussed over
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: and over various possible ways to talk to her about this.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: We feel embarrassed for her and want to approach her
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: before one of our white coworkers decides to do so.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: We feel strongly that this should come from one of us.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: This woman is in her forties, is quite intelligent, has
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: a wonderfully pleasant personalities, beats articulately, and she possesses an
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: obvious natural beauty under all that negative stuff. Please help
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: with Steve and Shirley. We don't know how to proceed
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: in a kind and gentle way. I would be willing
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: to take her shopping for several decent outfits suitable for
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: working in our professional, high profile office. Sincerely, concerned coworker,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: go for it, Well, concerned coworker, I appreciate your concern.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: And you women up there in your fifties obviously are
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: dignified ladies and very proud of yourself. And but you
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: are dealing with an issue here that has fallen several people.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I'll tell you what the main issue is. You, as
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: African American women, feel responsible for the other African American
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: and that's a good thing. But you're concerned about her
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: because you also knows, as we all do, that for
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: some reason, there's a rule where this woman cast a
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: bad light on the rest of you. You don't want
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: this woman to cast a bad light on the rest
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: of you because you consider her one of us. That's
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: a noble way to look at it, and that's beautiful
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: in everything. But you have a problem though, because home
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: girl coming in here looking straight crazy, how all over
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: her head, ain't got a perm won't get a beautiful
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: natural style, won't lock it, do nothing, she won't nothing.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Corn row it's something, just get it in some order.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Pick that dirt out your hair. Something. Now she got
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: close clinging to her in an unseemilar way. That means
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: her clothes is laying in places and ain't got no
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: bills its places And you can see body prints that
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: you uncomfortable see it. Don't nobody want to see your
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: drawls under your chest. Don't nobody want to see this
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: big imprint in the front and front of you. And
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: now we can see the design, size, shape and all
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: this is. Don't nobody want to see that? Now? To
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: top it off, she got an unpleasant body over rest
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: showing half bumps around the breath rings on you don't
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you don't need it, But now she gotta some days
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: it smells like you well pen on what kind of
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: yarn it is. And if his baby earing is okay
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: from a three month old, but if it's grown, man,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: you dult earin. Now we got a problem. Well, I'm
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: just playing something. Let me help you out, Steve Harveys down.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I hope you listen to sherilly answer be cause I
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: ain't got none of that for you. Here's the letter
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: that I found. We feel embarrassed for her and want
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: to approach her before one of our white co workers
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: decided to do so. M I say, let the white
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: people handle it. See now here we go see because
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: you gotta let white people do some things for you,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: because I like the approach. Sometimes. I actually like to
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: see them go off because they voice elevates and they
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: have phrases that make you think something's really wrong here
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: because you let them keep passing by big girl over
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: there smelling all that gerrilla you're in, and that and
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and and that that and that rhino that smell like
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: you down at the zoo. Why did the white folk smell?
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: And it's with father God. They have phrases that they
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: used and let you know, something really wrong crying out
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: loud peach sake, holy fuch? What why like an eagle,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: She war, what is gonna Lady, I gotta tell you
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: my blue eyes are crying. Somebody gonna walk president and
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: ship me. They crickets, I'm telling you. I love to
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: hear they phrases. Man. Yeah, I'm having in Elvis Presley moment.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: You ain't nothing but a hound dog got their white
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: folks something I've got. I've seen fire and I've seen rain.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: All right, guys gotta go get out of here. If
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: you can, email us or instagram us your thoughts on
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter at My Girls, Shirley, don't forget to
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: join me this Thursday at one thirty pm for my
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: after show Strawberry Letter Live on Facebook and Switching Gears Now. Steve,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: a California family man gets a letter from their neighborhood
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: homeowners association telling them that their kids shouldn't play in
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: front of their own house. Yeah front, not in front
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: of your house, but in front of our house. Right.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: The letters stated, we have received several reports from homeowners
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: who have almost hit your children while they have been
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: playing in the streets. Please have your children play in
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: your backyard or in the park. Uh house, wait wait
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait wait wait, if the homeowners Association
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: is telling you that people are almost hitting your kids
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: because they out in the street, play it. I mean,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: come on, man, while your kids in the street though,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: and they're giving you a warning. Man, your kids are
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: in the street, and several people are complaining industry, there
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: were no cars. Nobody had a car. Whatever. Al Right, guys,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: we talked about him. This is the story, Steve, you've
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: been waiting on. President Trump said the NFL should fire
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: players who don't stand during the national anthem. We'll talk
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: about that at forty one after the hour you're listening
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: to the Steve Steve. Sunday was week three of the
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: NFL season, and some of the NFL players were very
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: upset at President Trump. On Friday, at a rally for
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Alabama Republican Senator Senate candidate I should say Luther Strange,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Donald Trump said he thought NFL team owners should fire
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: players who protest standing for the national anthem by taking
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: a knee or sitting down. Take a listen. Would you
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: love to see one of these NFL owners when somebody
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: disrespects our flag, to say, get that son of a
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: drop the field right now out. He's fired. He's fired. President, really,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Mr President of all, this is the one I've been
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: waiting on because I paid very close attention. Is first
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: of all, the term s ob coming out of the
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: mouth of the president. I don't know what we just
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: do to man. I just don't know why, why we
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: don't have any level of accountability for the president or nothing.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: And I'm so sick of this bipartisan country we live
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: in where all the Republicans are a okay with everything
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: he says, and then all the Democrats hate everything. How
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: is it that you can be a Republican and not
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: see what's wrong here? You've got to think something is
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: wrong when the president of your country talks like as
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: an example to your kids. So that's where we then
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: came down to. Okay, look, I got social media saying
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: what they want to say, but the president is different.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Next he says, wouldn't you like to see? And then
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the fire them, get those s obs out of there,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: and the crowd goes wild. Did you hear that? That's
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: what he wants? That's the applau he lives. Let me
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: point out you the genius of this statement. He said
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: this in Alabama, who ain't got an NFL team, So yeah,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: oh yeah, let's get him out. I'll tell you what.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Make the statement in the state of Alabama that you're
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: gonna get rid of some players off a roll Tide
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: and players off a War Eagle, and see how many
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: cheers you get to get Church Mouse quiet over there.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: You try to take their beloved college football programs from
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: them in any capacity, and watch what happened to your ass.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: But see he said about the NFL in a state
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: that don't have an NFL team. But what you're talking
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: about is all divisive. Even owners, even owners of football teams,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: came out and spoke against this. Even Roger Goodell, which
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: stunned me. He said something, and I just watched this
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: guy in these crowds this. You did this in Alabama, man,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: go down to New Orleans and say that. See go
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to New York and say let's get rid of the players.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Go anywhere where they have an NFL team. Now, the
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: people in Alabama are some great football fans, But go
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: down there and say you're gonna take players off of
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Crimson Tide or War Eagles, and see what happened. I
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: bet it you're real quiet down that in because they
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: don't play that about their football, but they ain't got
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: no ProTeam. Why would you say that? Man? That disrespects
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: how flat You're not even listening to what the players
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: are saying. This is not to disrespect the flag. It
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: is to draw attention to say, hey, we as a
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: country have got to be more inclusive and we want
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: your attention. They're doing it in the form of peaceful protests. Now,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: if we start setting fires and looting, then what you
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: know what we got dead? They're doing in a peaceful
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: form of protests, and you have no respect for the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: people's right to protest. That's what's file about this, dude. Man,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: it's yeah. As we mentioned, Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, slammed
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: the president for his remarks. He released this statement, the
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: NFL and our players are at our best when we
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: helped create a sense of unity in our country and
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: our culture. There is no better example than the amazing
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: response from our clubs and players to the terrible natural
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: disasters we've experienced over the last month. The vice of
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: comments like these demonstrate uh and unfortunate lack of respect
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: for the NFL, are great game, and all of our players,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: and a failure to understand the overwhelming force for good.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Our clubs and players represent in our communities. Numerous NFL
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: players addressed the president via social media stating, uh so
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: the players are s O b s for protesting social
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: and racial injustices in this country. But the but At
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the rally in August after the violent white supremacist rally
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: that left a woman dead in Charlottesville, Trump praised the
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: very fine people on both sides. That's yes, it is,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: you know, a man, that's that's a great point for
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: them cats to make these cats of athletes men. But
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: they're thinking people. But man, we've got a guy in
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: the White House. Man that's not getting it. He's just
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: not getting his role as the president to try to
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: unify the country. But any time you tell the other
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: person to do something against another person from the White House,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: that's the wrong message to seeing. Man. Clearly, it's the
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: wrong message to see. But I'm uh and and and
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: the fear with this is he's not gonna get better
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: because he's old. He said no, and when he says
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: crazy stuff, he never apologizes. All he does is just
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: double down. It's almost like in your face, yeah I
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: said it. Now what I'm the president, you know. That's
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: the attitude that's horrible coming from him as our president.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: I hate that. You can be wrong. He keeps calling
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: for people to get fired. Yeah, yeah, you can be wrong.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: This ain't the Apprentice partner man reality. For him to
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: get fired, can we call for that? Well, I'm telling you, man,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: they're working on that. I'm telling you right now, they're
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: working on that. I don't I don't know how they're
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: gonna get it, but they're working on it. This whole
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Russian thing, they're working on it. They're trying to come
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: up with a way. And I don't think it's gonna
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: happen because I just don't. But we've got to find
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: a way to stay afloat and ride this guy out
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: before we get in a nuclear war with North Korea. That,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: oh god, Steve, and you don't understand how this fool
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: over here in North Korea is talking about detonating the
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: hydrogen bomb in the specific Pacific Ocean. Do you know
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: what that would do? Do you know the tidal wave
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: that would create? Man? Listen? Coming up next, former FBI
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Director James Comey spoke at Howard University, and boy, oh boy,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: it did not go well. What you're listening to the
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All Right, Steve. Our home station
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. Of course, is w h u
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: R FM on the campus of Howard University, and things
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: were pretty heated. On this past Friday, former FBI director
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: James Comey delivered a convocation address, and it did not
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: go well for him. Uh. Standing before a packed auditorium,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Comey stood silently for over fifteen minutes as the students yelled,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: get James Comey, You're not our homie, take a listen.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Thank you, President Frederick. I love yeah, yeah, wow, okay.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Protesters also chick added black lives matter here, according to
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: MSN dot com. According to the university press release, Comey
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: is slated to give a number of speeches during the
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: following year. His role at Howard will include engaging the
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: Howard community through a lecture series designed to foster fruitful
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: discussion and spur meaningful interaction. Now, Steve. Some of the
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: students agreed with the protest, and others said they just
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: wanted to hear Comey out. One young student said, check
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: this out. I love being black, but I also love
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: being black and educated, and in order to do that
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: is to choose intellect over ignorance. You have to keep
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: an open mind and hear all parties out. The former
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: FBI director has stayed, mostly, of course, out of the
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: spotlight since his dramatic testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: back in June. I agree with what the students said
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: about that, but I allo to agree with protests because
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: protest is real and people want to be heard, and
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: they choose different ways to do it. They do this
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: out at Berkeley, you understand them kids over there started
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: fires and all kinds of stuff at Berkeley. So when
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: you have a protest at HBCU, let's not be so
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: hard on the kids protests. Now, to invite him for
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: whatever reason how it did, which I think is okay
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: to invite him, but then not to let him speak,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I don't understand that. But it's their right to protests.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I understand that part of it. I understand, and I
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: get it. I would have loved to have heard what
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: he had to say, especially fired from the White House
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: by this president. He was already in place before Donald
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Trump took office. He was moved by Donald Trump, so
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: I would love to hear what he has to say.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: So in that regard, I agree with the students who
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: wanted to be educated to what he may say. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: he did get a chance to speak. He just let
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: the students do their protesting, and he did finally get
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: to say his speech. And I mean, yeah, he kind
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: of understood what was going on. You don't blame him
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: for Hillary's loss. Yeah, and and some issues with Ferguson
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: to Missouri, with the FBI and the handling of the
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: Michael got all that. That's why I'm cool with the protests. Yes,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: but I have to speak on both sides of it.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: I don't know exactly how the young people will feel it,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: but I do know how they feel it because I've
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: been in a lot of protests in my life. So
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I agree wholeheartedly repote protests and then young people up
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: at the Howard that's some intelligent people up there. Yes, yes,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: so yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm all with him
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: on that. You want to stand and you know how
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: you feel through protests, I think you should. I also
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: admire the fact that, like you said, I didn't know this,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: but he stood there. Let him have they say, and
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: then he gave his speech. Okay, that right there. That
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: that's that's quality. Quality moves because what you don't want
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: to do is deny the students and the people who
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: invited you an opportunity to hear what you had to say.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: So that regard was cool. I think everybody got what
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: they wanted out of the deal. I think the protesters
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: were correct in what they did because that's the form
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: of protest. Y'all gonna hear us cool. I'm with that, y'all. Well,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: it's not gonna end there. He's there for a lecture series.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: He's gonna be there for for for a minute, designer,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I'm going to the house at the day. Well, you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: know what to see if I was watching the video
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: on the next speech, both asked. Now, yeah, it wasn't
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: easy for him to deliver the speech because they still were,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: you know, chanting and hissing through some of the students
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: who were still doing that. So that speech delivery was
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: not easy. But I mean, you know, he's a smart man.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: He understood and he did it. Yeah, he went through it. Yeah,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I got my check, and you're booing. I'm I'm back
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: at the room. I don't mean you don't want anybody
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: and check. I'm just gonna go back to my room.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: But they rhymed, homie, call me with homie that why
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: wouldn't I wouldn't have been there, I would never heard it.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Once they study was all right, we'll be back right
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: All right, Uh, Steve Carlos said we should discuss this subject,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: but I vehemently disagree. But whatever, charlet if I'm in
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: protest right and wrong, yeah, you're taking a jay, but
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: you already know why the subject is cooking. Yeah, absolutely,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: so listen to this, so Steve, guys. Okay, one of
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: the judges from Top Chef recently shared some tips to
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: help folks step their game up in the kitchen, and
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: I thought this would be a good idea for you
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: guys to hear some of these tips, discuss it with Shirley,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: and maybe you guys can give us some pointers and
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: things like that and to it. Okay, so here we go.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: You're ready, you guys on board with this? Okay? The
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: first tip, you're not cooking enough, so practice makes perfect,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: all right? That ain't gonna no. I don't even know
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: why Shirley has a kitchen that could be an extra
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: living room closet. A partlem in Shirley had, and she
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: was in it for over a year, and then we
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: finally convinced that. And she opened up her refrigerator and
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: it was new, I mean, opened up her oven and
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: it was new. In their head cardboard direction, you know,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: you still had the direction open the oven. That's really true. Okay, Shirley,
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: practice makes perfect. Let's come on, boo, let's get the kitchen.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Let's start, let's start. You know you're married, now, come
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: on now, yeah, that's right, Jr. Right. Here's the second tip.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Basic tools. You don't need a food processor and all
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: the blenders and all that fancy stuff. Just a knife.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Get in there, cut up your vegetables, your sides, your onions.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: Just do you think she's got why you think she's
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: gonna cut an onion and crying And that's gonna be
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: crying something. You can't do that. Come on, Steve, come
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: on now, you gotta give us some motivation with that.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: It's too late. It's too late. It's never too late.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: Is a lost cars what you're talking about? Trump ain't
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: changing of Trump being a good president. And we gotta
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: hubby and oh boy, all right, well, Shirley, Okay, one
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: of the tips. The chef said that you can start
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: like with the recipe. You can start with the basic
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: part of the recipe, and then you can add your
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: own twists and make it your own. Like that time,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: nothing follow him damn directions. Don't Trump deviate or improvince.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Do what the damn books say. First, I like peanut butter.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: I think I'll put some peanut butter in this dressing.
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: Oh gosh, well what about the time need butter dressing?
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: That's disgusting. Whatever, This is a lost cause he's quiet.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: I thought this would be good, A lost call. Cook.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: You can't cook. You on water, cook you on how
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: to cook, and she shouldn't cook. I like all that.
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: I like that, get her husband, But I'm like nest though,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: sending this man through all this trial and there a mess.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: She shouldn't go in here and make want the first
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: time making brilliant? What's what you don't want? Nobody? First
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: time making corn bread? It's never good, You're right, never good?
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: All right, nice try car. Corn bread is never good bye,
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: And they always invite you to get you're listening to
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, President Trump tweeted
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: on Saturday morning, that the Golden State Warriors are not
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: welcome at the White House to celebrate their two thousand
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: seventeen NBA championship. Uh. This is going to the White
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: House is considered a great honor for a championship team.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Stefan Curry is hesitating. Therefore, the invitation is withdrawn now.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: On Friday, UH, Stefan Curry confirmed that he announced he
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: did not want to go to the White House. Take
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: a listen the things that he said and the things
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: that he hasn't said, UM in the right times that
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: we won't stand for and by acting or and not going,
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: hopefully that will um inspire some change when it comes
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: to what we tolerate in this country and what is
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: accepted and what is what we turn a blind eye to. UM.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: I mean, it's not just the act of not going.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: There are things that you have to do on the
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: back end to actually push that mess the gentle motion. UM.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: You can talk about all the different personalities that have
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: said things and done things, from Kaepernick to UM, what
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: happened to my Tellus Bennet to all sorts of you know,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: examples of of what has gone on in our country
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: that we need to kind of change um, and we
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: all are trying to do what we can. We're using
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: our platforms, using our opportunities to to shed light on that.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: So that's kind of where I stand on it. I mean,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: he has the right to say that. The just the
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: crazy thing is is that this president has the time
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: to hear it and then tweet about it and resend
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: the invitation for the entire team because what exactly was
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: Trump's tweet? Somebody read that. To me, going to the
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: White House is considered a great honor for a championship team.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: Stefan Curry is hesitating. Therefore the invitation is withdrawn right there,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Right there. You can't get any more petty from the
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: presidential office. It doesn't make any sense. If Stefarn Kerry
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: is hesitant, you re send the offer for the entire team. Yeah,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: you can't even invite me if I didn't want to go, though,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I didn't want to go because he doesn't agree with
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: the President's policies. He does not agree with them. See,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: and that's what it's not. It's only because you disagree
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: with what he said or done. Do you know how
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: many presidents have had teams up there filled with members
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: who didn't vote for that particular president. They went up
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: there for Bush and a lot of them guys didn't
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: vote for Bush, but Bush invited him to the White House.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: He was being presidential. There's people up there it didn't
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: vote for Barack Obama, but Barack Obama invites all champs
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: ship's team because it's the presidential thing to do. Right.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: This guy is not presidential at all. We'll be back.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Make sure
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: you add a refreshing ice cold cold to your five
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: dollar real big deal. Hits your five dollar real big
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: deal now at churches. Here we go with just one
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: more thing, our last break of the day. It's been
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: a good day while lots of things going on in
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: the world. Pay attention please. Yeah. Google is has just

- 1:35:08Speaker 1: looking at you. Yeah, pretty all, guy. I don't know
