- 0:01Speaker 1: Well, let's just go ahead and address the elephant in
- 0:05Speaker 1: the room. There is a back and forth it has
- 0:08Speaker 1: taking place by the most powerful man in the world,
- 0:11Speaker 1: the President, Donald J. Trump, and the richest man in
- 0:14Speaker 1: the world, Elon Musk. There is a lot to say
- 0:18Speaker 1: about this, but I'm going to actually keep it pretty short.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And the reason why is this isn't good for any
- 0:25Speaker 1: of our conservative values to have a in infighting at
- 0:29Speaker 1: this level. This is a gift to the liberals. It
- 0:33Speaker 1: is a gift to the liberal media. It is a
- 0:36Speaker 1: gift to the left because they're getting exactly what they want.
- 0:40Speaker 1: They want Elon Musk and Donald Trump to not get along.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I put out a statement earlier today and I'm going
- 0:47Speaker 1: to read it to you.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Trump is not wrong. Elon Musk is not wrong.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Elon is working under the assumption, unfortunately, that Congress actually
- 1:00Speaker 1: he wants to do the job and wants to save
- 1:03Speaker 1: our country. Elon Musk is honestly where my head would
- 1:08Speaker 1: have been twenty years ago. But I've seen too much
- 1:11Speaker 1: of these sausage it's being made. He has an assumption
- 1:14Speaker 1: that it can't be this corrupt, that Congress should actually
- 1:18Speaker 1: want to work and do its job. For the American people.
- 1:22Speaker 1: That is why Elon Musk is so angry about the big,
- 1:25Speaker 1: beautiful bill with good reason. Then there is Donald Trump,
- 1:31Speaker 1: who's working under the reality that these people are absolutely
- 1:36Speaker 1: scum in Congress, by the way, many of them Republicans,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and you cannot get anything perfect pass through the current
- 1:43Speaker 1: legislation or legislators that we currently have in Washington. Now,
- 1:50Speaker 1: Donald Trump understands what it means to actually drain the swamp.
- 1:54Speaker 1: He understands how many swamp creatures are still there. He
- 1:57Speaker 1: understands how many swamp creatures are within the Republican Party.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And that's why I say Trump isn't working under the
- 2:04Speaker 1: reality that these people in Washington are absolute scum, and
- 2:10Speaker 1: he knows that he cannot get a perfect bill pass
- 2:13Speaker 1: with this many scumbags in Congress. Now, let me also
- 2:17Speaker 1: talk about the things that Elon Musk is also, by
- 2:19Speaker 1: the way, right about. I think we can all agree
- 2:22Speaker 1: that we would love a bill that eliminates the entire
- 2:25Speaker 1: corrupt irs. We would love a bill that gets rid
- 2:29Speaker 1: of all the government ways fraud and abuse. We would
- 2:33Speaker 1: love to have some of these agencies completely gutted and
- 2:36Speaker 1: have an administrative state that disappears the way it's being run.
- 2:41Speaker 1: If we had that bill, there's also the other reality,
- 2:45Speaker 1: it probably wouldn't even get twenty votes in the House
- 2:47Speaker 1: of Representatives because there is so many swamp creatures there.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Yes, many of them have the R next to their name.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Now, the bill on the floor, Donald Trump understands is
- 2:59Speaker 1: probably about as good as it's going to get with
- 3:03Speaker 1: the current crap that we have in Congress.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Represent the people, and.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Elon Musk is absolutely right to be angry about what's
- 3:14Speaker 1: in this bill. There are things in this bill that
- 3:17Speaker 1: I would love to get rid of. But I also
- 3:19Speaker 1: know that I'd rather have this bill than have no
- 3:23Speaker 1: deal done at all and have taxes skyrocket and hurt
- 3:27Speaker 1: Americans and have liberals in essence win. So I go
- 3:31Speaker 1: back to what I said a moment ago. Elon is
- 3:35Speaker 1: not wrong. Donald Trump is also not wrong. But I
- 3:40Speaker 1: want to say this clearly. I do not believe that
- 3:43Speaker 1: Elon is our enemy. I believe that AOC and the
- 3:49Speaker 1: Biden crime family, and the Obama family, and the Clinton family,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and the mainstream media and the corrupt individuals at PBS
- 3:58Speaker 1: and NPR, they are the enemy.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Elon Musk is not the enemy.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I think America should forever be grateful, forever be indebted
- 4:09Speaker 1: to Elon Musk for doing what he did, saving free
- 4:13Speaker 1: speech by buying Twitter, exposing the corruption in the silencing
- 4:18Speaker 1: and censoring of conservatives that were on Twitter, exposing the
- 4:23Speaker 1: corruption in social media that has changed drastically since he
- 4:27Speaker 1: bought Twitter and turned it into X. He risked everything
- 4:32Speaker 1: to save free speech in this country. We now know
- 4:36Speaker 1: how big of an impact he's had on free speech.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Things that you used to not be able to say
- 4:41Speaker 1: on social media you can now say again.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Things that used to get.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You kicked off of social media because you were a
- 4:47Speaker 1: conservative and you wanted to expose waste fraud, abuse or
- 4:51Speaker 1: ask questions about a vaccine used to get you silenced.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Let's be clear, social media would not be what it
- 4:59Speaker 1: is right now if it wasn't for Elon Musk fighting back.
- 5:03Speaker 2: There's also something else.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That Elon has done that I will forever be grateful for.
- 5:08Speaker 1: He exposed the level of waste, fraud and abuse that
- 5:13Speaker 1: we have within our government. This will pay dividends for
- 5:18Speaker 1: years to come, because now the majority of Americans realize
- 5:22Speaker 1: that the government is not working for them, It is
- 5:25Speaker 1: stealing from them and then hooking up their friends and
- 5:28Speaker 1: family members and donors with ridiculous amounts of money. He
- 5:33Speaker 1: also exposed the level of waste in overseas transactions and
- 5:38Speaker 1: just pure corruption. He has shown us exactly how broken
- 5:43Speaker 1: our government is. So I go back to what I
- 5:46Speaker 1: said a moment ago. Elon is not wrong, and he's
- 5:50Speaker 1: also not our enemy.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:52Speaker 1: The final thing I'll say is this, I genuinely hope
- 5:56Speaker 1: that Donald Trump and Elon Musk can stop having this war.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I hope that they will go back to talking like
- 6:04Speaker 1: men to one another behind closed doors. I think both
- 6:07Speaker 1: men have done amazing things for this country, and I
- 6:11Speaker 1: think both men are playing into the trap right now
- 6:15Speaker 1: that the left and the liberal media have been wanting
- 6:18Speaker 1: to happen since day one. Elon Musk is going to
- 6:22Speaker 1: go back to his private life and the work that
- 6:25Speaker 1: he's done. I do not want it to be undone
- 6:27Speaker 1: because of this war. I also want to be clear,
- 6:31Speaker 1: Donald Trump is working under the reality of the situation
- 6:35Speaker 1: that Washington is broken, that there are a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 1: scumbag politicians, including Republicans, and you cannot get anything perfect
- 6:43Speaker 1: pass through the current legislators that we have in Washington.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So as I wrap this point up, I want to
- 6:50Speaker 1: say this, I am hoping for a very quick reconciliation
- 6:54Speaker 1: between these two brilliant minds. I'm hoping that they can
- 6:57Speaker 1: at least be civil, because of civil war between these
- 7:00Speaker 1: two men only helps the radical left. By the way,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm not the only one that looks at this this way.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I want you to hear Sean Hannity and Senator Cruz
- 7:11Speaker 1: on Hanndity's show on Fox and what they had to
- 7:15Speaker 1: say about this. I spent actually last night and the
- 7:18Speaker 1: day before was Sean Handity done in Florida. It was
- 7:22Speaker 1: a really a fun time as many of us in
- 7:24Speaker 1: the radio industry were having an event down there with Premiere,
- 7:27Speaker 1: the company that syndicates us and iHeartMedia that does this
- 7:30Speaker 1: show in others, and none of us. I think it's
- 7:33Speaker 1: pretty clear wanted this to happen with this type of war,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and I think we all have the same feeling. Elon
- 7:40Speaker 1: Musk has done incredible things, and Donald Trump's done incredible things,
- 7:43Speaker 1: and we need to make sure that this doesn't turn
- 7:45Speaker 1: into the best gift in history for the Democrats.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Take a listen to what they said about it. Godig
- 7:51Speaker 2: Party Senator let me get your take.
- 7:53Speaker 3: What's your take on you know, when you have two
- 7:57Speaker 3: very powerful men, Elon Musk Donald Trump, they have a
- 8:00Speaker 3: policy disagreement. It was less than a week ago. They
- 8:04Speaker 3: had the nicest goodbye you get ever want. So I'm
- 8:06Speaker 3: not exactly sure what happened. Not surprising in a way
- 8:10Speaker 3: because but I hope it gets settled.
- 8:13Speaker 2: What's your thoughts?
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah, Look, I think it's incredibly unfortunate. You and I
- 8:17Speaker 4: are both good friends with President Trump, and we're both
- 8:20Speaker 4: good friends with Elon Musk. They're both extraordinary men, and
- 8:24Speaker 4: they've both done extraordinary things for our country. Elon is
- 8:26Speaker 4: an incredible inventor and business leader. His buying Twitter was
- 8:30Speaker 4: massively important. His leadership of Doze for President Trump was
- 8:34Speaker 4: massively important. President Trump is doing phenomenal work every single day.
- 8:40Speaker 4: His victory pulled this country back from the abyss. I'll
- 8:43Speaker 4: tell you, Sean, I was in the Oval Office with
- 8:45Speaker 4: the President when this back and forth began. And it's
- 8:49Speaker 4: really unfortunate. They are both I think American heroes. They're
- 8:54Speaker 4: both incredibly strong leaders. And listen, it's obvious they're both
- 8:57Speaker 4: pissed off right now. I hope that that both of
- 9:00Speaker 4: them come back together, because when the two of them
- 9:02Speaker 4: are working together, we'll get a lot more done for
- 9:05Speaker 4: America than when they're at cross purposes. And I got
- 9:08Speaker 4: to say, on the merits, I think both of them
- 9:11Speaker 4: are right. President Trump is absolutely right we have to
- 9:14Speaker 4: get this one big, beautiful bill pass, and we're going to.
- 9:17Speaker 4: But Elon is absolutely right that we need to make
- 9:20Speaker 4: the bill better, and I think the Senate is going
- 9:22Speaker 4: to we need to cut more spending, and I think
- 9:23Speaker 4: the Senate is going to I was in the Oval
- 9:25Speaker 4: Office laying out multiple spending cuts that we could include
- 9:29Speaker 4: to make this bill better. That's the outcome I hope
- 9:32Speaker 4: we end up because that's the outcome that really delivers
- 9:35Speaker 4: for the American people.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Simply put, I couldn't agree with him more. Let me
- 9:38Speaker 1: tell you about Patriot Mobile real quick. If you've got
- 9:41Speaker 1: a cell phone and your cell phone is not with
- 9:44Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile, then the question I gotta ask you is
- 9:47Speaker 1: why why have you not made the switch? Well, you
- 9:51Speaker 1: should make the switch, and the deal is really easy.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You get cutting edge technology. Switching has never been easier.
- 9:58Speaker 1: There's no store visits, no as, You get to keep
- 10:01Speaker 1: your same phone number you have right now. You get
- 10:03Speaker 1: to keep your same phone you've got now or upgrade
- 10:05Speaker 1: to a new one, and they have a one hundred
- 10:08Speaker 1: percent US based team that can activate you literally in minutes.
- 10:11Speaker 1: The other thing that I love about Patriot Mobile is
- 10:14Speaker 1: this they have access to all three major networks, meaning
- 10:18Speaker 1: you get exceptional nationwide coverage.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I use Patriot Mobile and half for years.
- 10:24Speaker 1: They can even put a second number on a different
- 10:27Speaker 1: network on your phone. It's like carrying two phones in one.
- 10:31Speaker 1: You can have a work number and a personal number.
- 10:34Speaker 1: It's amazing. They have unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming,
- 10:40Speaker 1: Internet on the go devices, and home internet backup as well.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You can get all of this from Patriot Mobile. So
- 10:48Speaker 1: why are you waiting? Make the switch today? And by
- 10:51Speaker 1: the way, when you pay your bill, you know that
- 10:53Speaker 1: about five percent of that bill every month is going
- 10:56Speaker 1: back to support conservative causes. Causes that stand for a
- 10:59Speaker 1: firm Second Amendment rights, the rights of unborn children, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: they stand with our veterans, our first responders, our police
- 11:07Speaker 1: and firemen, are EMTs and are wounded warriors. So make
- 11:10Speaker 1: a difference with every call you make, So right now,
- 11:13Speaker 1: go to Patriotmobile dot com slash Ferguson or call them
- 11:19Speaker 1: nine to seven to two Patriot. You're going to get
- 11:21Speaker 1: a free month of service with the promo code Ferguson.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So switch to Patriot Mobile and make a difference with
- 11:27Speaker 1: every call you make Patriot Mobile dot com slash ferguson
- 11:31Speaker 1: or nine seven to two Patriot. I want to move
- 11:35Speaker 1: into another issue now that's very important, and that is this.
- 11:39Speaker 1: President Donald Trump signed a proclamation reinstating a travel band
- 11:44Speaker 1: that restricts entry into the United States for citizens of
- 11:47Speaker 1: twelve countries wine. The President citing national security concerns. Now
- 11:54Speaker 1: the policy is set to take effect very quickly on
- 11:57Speaker 1: June the ninth. There are twelve country treason are listed,
- 12:01Speaker 1: and the President had this to say about it is
- 12:03Speaker 1: he announced it from the Oval Office.
- 12:05Speaker 5: The recent terror attack in Boulder, Colorado has underscored the
- 12:10Speaker 5: extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of
- 12:13Speaker 5: foreign nationals who are not properly vetted, as well as
- 12:17Speaker 5: those who come here as temporary visitors and overstay their visas.
- 12:22Speaker 2: We don't want them.
- 12:23Speaker 5: In the twenty first century, we've seen one terror attack
- 12:27Speaker 5: after another carried out by foreign visa overstairs from dangerous
- 12:31Speaker 5: places all over the world, and thanks to Biden's open
- 12:35Speaker 5: door policies, today there are millions and millions of these
- 12:39Speaker 5: illegals who should not be in our country. In my
- 12:43Speaker 5: first term, my powerful travel restrictions were one of our
- 12:46Speaker 5: most successful policies, and they were a key part of
- 12:50Speaker 5: preventing major foreign terror attacks on American soil. We will
- 12:55Speaker 5: not let what happened in Europe happen to America. That's
- 12:58Speaker 5: why on my first stay back in office, I directed
- 13:02Speaker 5: the Secretary of State to perform a security review of
- 13:06Speaker 5: high risk regions and make recommendations for where restrictions should
- 13:11Speaker 5: be imposed. Among the national security threats their analysis considered
- 13:16Speaker 5: are the large scale presence of terrorists, failure to cooperate
- 13:21Speaker 5: on visa security, inability to verify travelers' identities, inadequate record
- 13:28Speaker 5: keeping of criminal histories, and persistently high rates of illegal
- 13:33Speaker 5: visa overstays, and other things. Very simply, we cannot have
- 13:38Speaker 5: open migration from any country where we cannot safely and
- 13:42Speaker 5: reliably vet and screen those who seek to enter the
- 13:46Speaker 5: United States. That is why today I am signing a
- 13:50Speaker 5: new executive order placing travel restrictions on countries including Yemen, Somalia, Haiti, Libya,
- 13:59Speaker 5: and numerous others. The strength of the restrictions we're applying
- 14:04Speaker 5: depends on the severity of the threat post The list
- 14:08Speaker 5: is subject to revision based on whether material improvements are made,
- 14:13Speaker 5: and likewise, new countries can be added as threats everge
- 14:17Speaker 5: around the world.
- 14:18Speaker 2: But we will not.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Allow people to enter our country who wish to do
- 14:23Speaker 5: us harm. And nothing will stop us from keeping America
- 14:27Speaker 5: saying thank you very much.
- 14:30Speaker 1: The President going through that list again, Afghanistan, Burma, Chad,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the Republic of the Congo, Hecreatorial Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan,
- 14:41Speaker 1: and Yemen. There are also partial restrictions on seven different
- 14:45Speaker 1: countries Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sirira, Leone, Togo, Turns, Megistan, and Venezuela.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The partial restrictions involve limitations on immigrant and certain non
- 14:59Speaker 1: immigran visas, but some temporary visas may still be granted
- 15:03Speaker 1: with those quote partial restrictions on the seven countries I
- 15:07Speaker 1: just listed now. As President Trump stated, the ban aims
- 15:11Speaker 1: to protect the United States from individuals who may pose
- 15:14Speaker 1: threats to national security, citing concerns over terrorism, inadequate vetting processes,
- 15:21Speaker 1: and high visa overstay rates in the US. He referenced
- 15:25Speaker 1: a recent attack in Boulder allegedly perpetrated by an Egyptian
- 15:29Speaker 1: national and a catalyst for the new policy. Now, the
- 15:34Speaker 1: administration also pointed to deficiencies and information sharing and an
- 15:39Speaker 1: identity management protocols and effected countries which hinder effective screening
- 15:43Speaker 1: and vetting of travelers. The travel band has already faced criticism.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Don't worry from the left, as they will do anything
- 15:51Speaker 1: to stand up for illegal immigrants and even those that
- 15:54Speaker 1: are committing atrostes against Americans. It is very clear there's
- 15:59Speaker 1: two ways of things on this issue. The conservative way,
- 16:02Speaker 1: the Trump way, is to protect American citizens, and the
- 16:06Speaker 1: left is to advocate and protect the illegal immigrants, even
- 16:10Speaker 1: those that are on terrifts watch lists. Now Donald Trump
- 16:14Speaker 1: isn't the only one saying that this is exactly what
- 16:16Speaker 1: needed to happen. Senator Tom Cotton, a man that served
- 16:19Speaker 1: as country overseas in many parts of the world where
- 16:22Speaker 1: these travel bands are happening, went on Fox and Friends
- 16:25Speaker 1: and had this to say.
- 16:27Speaker 6: So. President Trump banning travel from twelve countries and placing
- 16:30Speaker 6: restrictions on seven others in the wake of national security
- 16:33Speaker 6: concerns related to the Boulder terror attack.
- 16:36Speaker 5: The strength of the restrictions were applying depends on the
- 16:40Speaker 5: severity of the threat posts. The list is subject to
- 16:44Speaker 5: revision based on whether material improvements are made, and likewise,
- 16:49Speaker 5: new countries can be added as threats emerge around the world.
- 16:53Speaker 6: And in a separate proclamation, he moved to officially block
- 16:56Speaker 6: new foreign students from getting visas to attend Harvard University,
- 17:00Speaker 6: urging his administrator to consider revoking current visas as well,
- 17:04Speaker 6: and keep in mind those over one hundred thousand Chinese students.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Here.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Here to discuss is Arkansas Center Center and Harvard grad Center.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Tom Cotton the Center.
- 17:12Speaker 6: First off, on the ban of those nations, how do
- 17:15Speaker 6: you feel about it?
- 17:16Speaker 7: I command the President for implementing this badly needed and
- 17:19Speaker 7: overdue ban on countries where we really can't vet anyone.
- 17:23Speaker 7: Countries have a history of known violence and terrorism. Take
- 17:28Speaker 7: for instance, Haiti and Somalia. You have gang violence that
- 17:32Speaker 7: is basically controlling all of Haiti. You have Islamic terrorism
- 17:35Speaker 7: across Somalia. And what does it even mean to vet
- 17:38Speaker 7: someone from those countries? There's no governing institutions there that
- 17:42Speaker 7: can do background checks. This has long been a lie
- 17:46Speaker 7: from the left wing about how we're going to do
- 17:48Speaker 7: background checks on illegal immigrants or people coming from dangerous countries.
- 17:52Speaker 7: It's simply not possible. I mean, consider what we do
- 17:55Speaker 7: for young Americans who want to go in the military
- 17:57Speaker 7: or the law enforcement. You know, they have to say
- 17:59Speaker 7: where they've You call up the police department, you call
- 18:02Speaker 7: the state police, you do background checks, you make sure
- 18:05Speaker 7: they're suited for the job. There are no institutions in
- 18:08Speaker 7: many of these countries where you can do these things.
- 18:09Speaker 7: So this is another common sense victory for President Trump
- 18:12Speaker 7: and America Safety.
- 18:13Speaker 6: Sentaer Congressman Dan Goldman says, it's because they're not white.
- 18:18Speaker 6: That's why Trump is looking to ban and limit them.
- 18:21Speaker 7: Now, it's because they're dangerous and they could get us killed.
- 18:23Speaker 7: We's all over the weekend in Boulder, Colorado. The danger
- 18:27Speaker 7: of having foreign nationals come into this country without being
- 18:30Speaker 7: properly vetted. In many countries they can't be properly vetted.
- 18:33Speaker 7: We shouldn't allow people in from those countries if they're
- 18:36Speaker 7: going to pose a risk to Americans.
- 18:39Speaker 2: So one thing is for sure on this travel band.
- 18:42Speaker 1: The left is going to tell you that this is
- 18:44Speaker 1: racist and big ed, and this is banning people based
- 18:48Speaker 1: on the color of their skin.
- 18:50Speaker 2: They are going to play the race card, so be
- 18:52Speaker 2: ready for it.
- 18:53Speaker 1: The second thing is this is absolutely the right thing
- 18:56Speaker 1: to do by the President of United States of America.
- 18:59Speaker 1: We've actually we had travel bands on these countries before,
- 19:03Speaker 1: and I'm telling you, this is what the left and
- 19:05Speaker 1: the media are going to do. They're going to say
- 19:08Speaker 1: that this is racist. What the President's clearly trying to
- 19:11Speaker 1: do is protect American citizens and also make sure that
- 19:14Speaker 1: there is proper vetting. There is not proper vetting for
- 19:17Speaker 1: many of the countries that were listed at all. We
- 19:20Speaker 1: don't know exactly what these people may have done in
- 19:23Speaker 1: their countries before they're coming to America. We should know
- 19:27Speaker 1: a lot more before we allow them in. And then
- 19:31Speaker 1: there's the.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Third aspect of this.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Many of the people that come from these countries deliberately
- 19:37Speaker 1: overstay their welcome in the US.
- 19:40Speaker 2: They overstay their visas.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So why would we keep giving visas out to people
- 19:45Speaker 1: from certain countries that abuse the system the way that
- 19:48Speaker 1: it's being abused.
- 19:50Speaker 2: You look at all of this.
- 19:51Speaker 1: And what the President is simply trying to do is
- 19:53Speaker 1: make sure that we don't have more of the situations
- 19:56Speaker 1: that we just had in Colorado. We also have another
- 19:59Speaker 1: reason why the travel band should be put in place
- 20:03Speaker 1: and you should support it, and that is this, we
- 20:06Speaker 1: have far too many people in this country illegally right now.
- 20:10Speaker 1: We have far too many people from many of these
- 20:12Speaker 1: nations that we're talking about that are in this country
- 20:14Speaker 1: that are overstaying their visas right now. We must clean
- 20:18Speaker 1: up the mess in this country. Instead of bringing in
- 20:23Speaker 1: more people, we have to clean up our mess that
- 20:27Speaker 1: we allowed to happen under the last administration. There are
- 20:32Speaker 1: millions and millions of illegal immigrants in this country. Many
- 20:36Speaker 1: of them are threats to our national security. We have
- 20:40Speaker 1: ICE that is working around the clock to try to
- 20:43Speaker 1: take the worst of them out of this country and
- 20:45Speaker 1: to port them. We have a broken system, even with
- 20:50Speaker 1: a border now that's very secure. We must fix the
- 20:55Speaker 1: problem before we allow so many more people to keep
- 20:59Speaker 1: coming in at a high rate of visa overstay. So
- 21:04Speaker 1: I got to say this is a smart move by
- 21:06Speaker 1: the president. I actually think this is something that's overdue.
- 21:10Speaker 1: It's sad that it took the terrorist attack in Colorado
- 21:14Speaker 1: to get us to the point we could do this again.
- 21:16Speaker 2: But I'm glad that we're doing it now.
- 21:18Speaker 1: And for anyone that criticized the President for doing this,
- 21:21Speaker 1: I got to ask you the question, whose side are
- 21:23Speaker 1: you on the safety of the American people? Are the
- 21:27Speaker 1: side of the terrorists that are coming into this country
- 21:29Speaker 1: and exploiting our system. The Trump administration is very upset
- 21:35Speaker 1: right now with many American universities who are allowing anti
- 21:39Speaker 1: Semitism to explode on college campuses. Columbia is a perfect
- 21:45Speaker 1: example of this. We're a protester and self proclaimed Jew
- 21:49Speaker 1: hater we now have learned had direct links to Hamas terracel.
- 21:55Speaker 1: This coming from disturbing phone records. As the DOJ is
- 21:59Speaker 1: revealing all of this. A Jew hater quote unquote who
- 22:03Speaker 1: protested against Israel on Colombia University's campus and contemplated we
- 22:08Speaker 1: now have learned setting a student on fire allegedly had
- 22:12Speaker 1: a direct link to the Hamas Deadly al Casom Brigade
- 22:17Speaker 1: militant group. The post is now revealing the man is
- 22:22Speaker 1: now a wedding trial after being indicted on three federal
- 22:26Speaker 1: hate crimes against Jewish people. He was a member of
- 22:29Speaker 1: a chat group that received regular updates from the terrorist
- 22:33Speaker 1: organization as well, and the accusation is the first evidence
- 22:37Speaker 1: of an agitator receiving information directly from Hamas and taking
- 22:43Speaker 1: action during protests on the University of Colombia campus.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Now, the individual was twenty.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I want to be clear, he was not a Columbia student,
- 22:54Speaker 1: but he was on the campus protesting. He frequently wore
- 22:58Speaker 1: the green headband used by Hamas terras and boasted to
- 23:02Speaker 1: friends about having relatives overseas who were actually a part
- 23:06Speaker 1: of the terror group. This all coming from the DOJ
- 23:10Speaker 1: court filing. While on Columbia's campus during protests in April
- 23:15Speaker 1: of last year, the individual allegedly Texas palse saying he
- 23:19Speaker 1: lit a flare and considered lighting someone on fire, but
- 23:23Speaker 1: that there was quote too many people around him to
- 23:26Speaker 1: take on otherwise he would have hurt them. A Columbia
- 23:30Speaker 1: university said has quote no record of the man being
- 23:33Speaker 1: on campus and wanted to quote be clear that this
- 23:36Speaker 1: individual is not affiliated with our university in any way.
- 23:39Speaker 1: All right, so why did you allow him to protest
- 23:42Speaker 1: on your campus? The university added that the school quote
- 23:46Speaker 1: strongly condemns anti Semitism and violence, and we are horrified
- 23:51Speaker 1: by the violence and hate crimes described in the incident. Well,
- 23:55Speaker 1: you can say that all you want, but the reality
- 23:57Speaker 1: is Columbia University has allowed this hate to grow on
- 24:01Speaker 1: its campus, which brings me to the second part of
- 24:04Speaker 1: the story. The Trump administration is now escalating pressure on
- 24:09Speaker 1: Columbia as the Education Department is questioning the university's accreditation altogether.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Here's more of the story from Fox News.
- 24:21Speaker 8: The Trump administration is not backing down as it continues
- 24:24Speaker 8: its crackdown on campus anti semitism. The State Department is
- 24:27Speaker 8: vowing to investigate the visa status of anti Israel protesters
- 24:32Speaker 8: who are arrested after storming the school library this week.
- 24:35Speaker 9: The nature of our promise that people who are in
- 24:38Speaker 9: this country with the visa angelaus or affect the nature
- 24:44Speaker 9: of what's important to our country when it comes to
- 24:46Speaker 9: our foreign policy and national security, will be acted on
- 24:49Speaker 9: in that regard. And yes, he said it, and I
- 24:52Speaker 9: believe them, And that's the word you can take for it.
- 24:55Speaker 8: Let's bring in Ellie Kohanum, senior fellow at the Independent
- 24:58Speaker 8: Women's Forum and former US Deputy Special Envoy to combat
- 25:02Speaker 8: Anti Semitism. Ellie, this turmoil at Columbia has been going
- 25:07Speaker 8: on for quite a while. Now, how would you assess
- 25:10Speaker 8: the administrations, the Columbia administration's efforts to try to squelch
- 25:18Speaker 8: anti Semitism on campus.
- 25:20Speaker 10: John, We are now nineteen months into this despicable, violent
- 25:24Speaker 10: and pro terror movement that's taking place all across our
- 25:28Speaker 10: campuses and at Columbia University, which is my own shameful
- 25:32Speaker 10: alma mater, and I would tell you that, yes, what
- 25:35Speaker 10: we saw at Butler Library was ultimately eighty arrests were made.
- 25:40Speaker 10: And any movement that we're seeing that's progress towards shutting
- 25:43Speaker 10: down this anti Semitic movement is because there's a new
- 25:45Speaker 10: sheriff in town. Because we've got President Donald J.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Trump back in.
- 25:49Speaker 10: The White House and his administration has taken forceful steps
- 25:53Speaker 10: as he promised us on the campaign trail. So what
- 25:56Speaker 10: we are seeing right now is, yes, the promise that
- 26:00Speaker 10: there are foreign elements in our country that are here
- 26:02Speaker 10: to undermine our society, and so foreign students who are
- 26:05Speaker 10: here on visa they will be deported for supporting a
- 26:10Speaker 10: pro terror movement on our soil. They are not welcome here,
- 26:13Speaker 10: as Secretary Ruby on the President have said. But the
- 26:16Speaker 10: other element here is, of course, the power of the purse.
- 26:19Speaker 10: And what we're seeing is a Trump administration letting the
- 26:22Speaker 10: universities know that they will be cutting federal funds. In
- 26:25Speaker 10: the case of Columbia University that's already four hundred million dollars.
- 26:29Speaker 10: If they are unnoticed that they're about they are losing,
- 26:32Speaker 10: and there are talks taking place with Columbia University between
- 26:36Speaker 10: the Trump administration and the university. And so I think
- 26:39Speaker 10: the only reason we're seeing some progress at Columbia is
- 26:43Speaker 10: because they understand that they are about to lose not
- 26:46Speaker 10: only four hundred million dollars in federal grants, but also
- 26:49Speaker 10: they have the possibility of losing billions of dollars in
- 26:53Speaker 10: federal funding.
- 26:54Speaker 8: John congress Woman Elise Stefanik says that schools like Columbia
- 27:00Speaker 8: just aren't paying attention here listen to what she has
- 27:02Speaker 8: to say.
- 27:03Speaker 11: And the fact that these universities have allowed that to
- 27:06Speaker 11: perpetuate shows that they have been incapable of showing strong
- 27:09Speaker 11: leadership to allow safety for students, and they've allowed this
- 27:13Speaker 11: anti semitism to continue to rise. The US taxpayers do
- 27:16Speaker 11: not want their dollars to prop up institutions that are
- 27:19Speaker 11: unsafe for Jewish students, and that has been the case
- 27:22Speaker 11: at places like Columbia.
- 27:25Speaker 8: Would you agree with what the congresswoman has to say?
- 27:27Speaker 8: You said you yourself are a Columbia.
- 27:29Speaker 10: Graduate, exactly right. Well, I couldn't agree with representatives stefanic More.
- 27:35Speaker 10: The American taxpayer is not interested in funding universities that
- 27:39Speaker 10: have become hotbeds of anti Semitism and frankly anti Americanism.
- 27:44Speaker 10: The student group that organize this Butler Library takeover has
- 27:48Speaker 10: issued manifest those where they are literally calling for violence
- 27:52Speaker 10: and literally supporting terror movements that the United States has
- 27:56Speaker 10: designated as foreign terrorist organizations. And so we cannot have
- 28:00Speaker 10: any tolerance for this, for this violent movement, everything that
- 28:06Speaker 10: we're seeing stands against American values. And I want to
- 28:10Speaker 10: tell you something, John, Ironically, May is Jewish American Heritage Month.
- 28:14Speaker 10: President Trump issued a proclamation back in May twenty twenty
- 28:18Speaker 10: noting the month and celebrating Jewish Americans. And so I
- 28:22Speaker 10: really encourage everyone to take a look at Jewish American
- 28:25Speaker 10: Heritage dot org learn about how Jewish Americans have contributed
- 28:30Speaker 10: to our country and have helped to make our country
- 28:32Speaker 10: a great place for all of our citizens. But again,
- 28:36Speaker 10: you know, we're going to see the Trump administration, I think,
- 28:38Speaker 10: continue to take very forceful action hold the universities accountable.
- 28:43Speaker 10: In the case of Columbia, not only is it the
- 28:45Speaker 10: risk of students, the foreign students being deported, the risk
- 28:48Speaker 10: of losing federal funding, but also the administration has told
- 28:53Speaker 10: Columbia they want to put the Middle East Department under receivership,
- 28:57Speaker 10: which is very bold action and necess because what we're
- 29:01Speaker 10: finding out from students themselves is that in the classroom
- 29:05Speaker 10: they are actually being indoctrinated to hate America and to
- 29:10Speaker 10: hate the Jewish state of Israel. And so all of
- 29:13Speaker 10: this action is very welcomed, I think by all Americans
- 29:17Speaker 10: who want to finally see an end to this anti semitism.
- 29:21Speaker 1: One thing's for sure, the Trump administration isn't screwing around
- 29:24Speaker 1: with anti semitism on college campuses, and they're going to
- 29:27Speaker 1: make it hurt for universities that refuse to rein it
- 29:31Speaker 1: in Now, the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights
- 29:35Speaker 1: has sent an official notice to the accrediting body that
- 29:39Speaker 1: audience Columbia University, notifying that the Ivy League school is
- 29:44Speaker 1: currently failing to meet its standards for accreditation. The Middle
- 29:48Speaker 1: States Commission on Higher Education, which is a recognize a
- 29:52Speaker 1: credit body for degree granting higher education institutions across the
- 29:56Speaker 1: Mid Atlantic, ensures that it's members schools such as Columbia
- 30:00Speaker 1: meet established standards of academic quality, integrity, institutional effectiveness, and
- 30:07Speaker 1: more well, they are one of several accredit institutions across
- 30:11Speaker 1: the country that the Department of Education deems reliable. Now,
- 30:17Speaker 1: only institutions accredited by the Department of Education recognize that
- 30:22Speaker 1: creditors are eligible to participate in Title nine federal financial
- 30:27Speaker 1: aid programs such as PEL grants and federal work study
- 30:31Speaker 1: or student loan programs as well. So this notice is
- 30:35Speaker 1: marking the latest escalation the Trump administration's efforts to hold
- 30:40Speaker 1: Columbia accountable for number one, failing to tamp down anti
- 30:44Speaker 1: semitism on its campuses. And they're making it clear you
- 30:50Speaker 1: want to be investigated, fine, we will do it. They
- 30:53Speaker 1: launched an investigation to Columbia in February, and the Trump
- 30:57Speaker 1: administration opted to cancel four hundred dred million and federal
- 31:02Speaker 1: grants over the university's failure to protect Jewish students from
- 31:05Speaker 1: anti Semitic harassment. And that is a direct quote. Now Subsequently,
- 31:11Speaker 1: Columbia agreed to make changes they claim in an effort
- 31:15Speaker 1: to prevent funds from being canceled. The school quote took
- 31:20Speaker 1: steps to overhaul its policies around protests, around safety and security,
- 31:26Speaker 1: while also reorganizing its Middle Eastern Studies department. Now, the
- 31:31Speaker 1: changes also include adopting a new campus wide definition of
- 31:34Speaker 1: anti semitism. And the fact that that we're even having
- 31:37Speaker 1: to do this in twenty twenty five is just totally
- 31:40Speaker 1: insane now. Also last month, Columbia said it would be
- 31:44Speaker 1: cutting around one hundred and eighty staff members in an
- 31:47Speaker 1: effort to preserve the university's financial flexibility. So you wonder
- 31:52Speaker 1: how blow to these campuses are and how much money
- 31:54Speaker 1: they're wasting of your tax dollars. That should tell you
- 31:57Speaker 1: also everything you need to know. So well done to
- 32:01Speaker 1: the Trump administration for doing this. They're not holding back
- 32:05Speaker 1: and they're stopping anti semitism, especially when your tax dollars
- 32:09Speaker 1: are going to these universities that have been looking the
- 32:12Speaker 1: other way for far too long. Make sure you share
- 32:15Speaker 1: this podcast with your family and friends, put it up
- 32:17Speaker 1: on social media wherever you are, and we appreciate you listening.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Every day. We'll see you back here tomorrow.
