- 1:47Speaker 1: The water got me. Come come on your ba I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shall will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one and only. Uh, Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show, Yeah you do. Steve Harvey
- 2:12Speaker 1: got a radio show. But like I said the other day,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you got something too, though, don't you. God hadn't done
- 2:16Speaker 1: something wonderful for you. You just gotta thank Him for it,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, in the midst of all that's going on
- 2:23Speaker 1: in my life and in your life. You know, I
- 2:26Speaker 1: always use myself as an example because well, I mean
- 2:30Speaker 1: that way. I guarantee one hundred percent I know what
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Um, here's the situation, you know, with
- 2:37Speaker 1: everything that's going on in my life and all the
- 2:39Speaker 1: things I'm asking God for in the midst of a
- 2:46Speaker 1: taxing and a very trying situation. That's very challenging for
- 2:50Speaker 1: me right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps on
- 2:55Speaker 1: surprising me. He keeps doing things. And I want you
- 2:59Speaker 1: to look at your life. Or for a second, let's
- 3:03Speaker 1: make two columns here. Let's make a column of all
- 3:07Speaker 1: the things you want from God. You know, just do
- 3:10Speaker 1: that throughout the course of the day. You know, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: run down the list of all the things you're asking
- 3:15Speaker 1: God for, all the things you're praying for, the things
- 3:18Speaker 1: you aspire to, what you your dreams, your visions, whatever
- 3:22Speaker 1: it is. Just make a column, a list of all
- 3:24Speaker 1: those things. Let's make three lists. And then the second list,
- 3:29Speaker 1: I want you to make a list of everything that
- 3:34Speaker 1: you've been asking God for. So I guess that could
- 3:37Speaker 1: be a little bit of the same. But this third list,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I want you to do a check off point. I
- 3:42Speaker 1: want you to do a make a list of everything
- 3:45Speaker 1: that God has given you that you've asked him for.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Just think about it like that for a second. I
- 3:52Speaker 1: may be explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm
- 3:54Speaker 1: gonna pull it together for you. Make a list of
- 3:57Speaker 1: everything you're asking God for. Just just listed you know
- 4:00Speaker 1: it's okay. It's a dream board. You can call it that.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I got one. It's a vision board. You know. Every
- 4:05Speaker 1: everybody's got something you hope for. Make a list now.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I want you to make another list of everything you've
- 4:14Speaker 1: asked God for that he's given you already. See this
- 4:18Speaker 1: is a good list because sometimes and what I've been
- 4:22Speaker 1: guilty of, and maybe you two in my request list
- 4:27Speaker 1: on my dream board. I keep focusing so hard sometimes
- 4:31Speaker 1: on the what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing
- 4:36Speaker 1: so hard on the what I hope he gives me.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I keep focusing so hard on the things that I
- 4:42Speaker 1: yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he
- 4:47Speaker 1: starts checking off my wish list, the things I've asked
- 4:52Speaker 1: for in the past that have come to pass that
- 4:54Speaker 1: he's given me, I sometimes, in praying for what I
- 4:58Speaker 1: want forget to thank him for what he's done for me.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And
- 5:06Speaker 1: this morning when I woke up, I really, man, I
- 5:09Speaker 1: just got on my knees this morning and I quit
- 5:11Speaker 1: tripping for a second. I said, Man, hey, God, you
- 5:13Speaker 1: know what I really do need all them things I'm
- 5:17Speaker 1: asking for and I'm really am believing that you're gonna
- 5:20Speaker 1: give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
- 5:23Speaker 1: have I overlooked some important details here. I had to
- 5:27Speaker 1: really look at what he's done for me. I mean, look, man,
- 5:31Speaker 1: take yourself out of it personally, and look, well, you
- 5:34Speaker 1: can leave yourself in it however you want to be.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Some people can't do that, So just leave yourself in it. Then,
- 5:39Speaker 1: But man, I started looking at the eye part of me,
- 5:42Speaker 1: and I started looking around at the what's happening overall, Like, man,
- 5:46Speaker 1: he has kept my family together in spite of the
- 5:50Speaker 1: attempts to tear it apart. I look at all of that.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I look at how he's blessing my children with the
- 5:56Speaker 1: desires of their heart, which I pray for my kids.
- 5:58Speaker 1: You know, I want my kids to have a better
- 6:00Speaker 1: life than I've had. I really really do. I don't
- 6:03Speaker 1: want them to take as long as it took me
- 6:05Speaker 1: to get it together. I really really don't. I'm trying
- 6:08Speaker 1: to say, hey, man, if you go to college, this
- 6:10Speaker 1: is what you can be. Don't do like your father did.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Don't go three years, drop out, throw yourself into a spiral.
- 6:15Speaker 1: And then got to start to scratch all over again,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you know, and for the most part so far, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 1: they're doing quite well of it, you know, you know,
- 6:24Speaker 1: they they're getting kicked around a little bit, but that's life.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me
- 6:30Speaker 1: overcome with some of the previous mistakes I've made in
- 6:35Speaker 1: relationships in my life. And then I started looking about
- 6:39Speaker 1: the things he's blessed me with that I've been asking
- 6:42Speaker 1: him for. But since I've moved on from it, I
- 6:44Speaker 1: forgot to keep thinking him because I gotta always thank
- 6:48Speaker 1: God for a roof over my head, because guess what,
- 6:50Speaker 1: when I was asking for the roof and I didn't
- 6:52Speaker 1: really have it, then he gave me one that since
- 6:54Speaker 1: he gave it to me, what, I'm just cool now.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I can't ever go back to him and go, hey, man,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I really appreciate this roof over my head because that
- 7:02Speaker 1: was a time when I was living in a car.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But see, so every morning I wake up, I gotta
- 7:06Speaker 1: remember the fact that I have a home now, because
- 7:09Speaker 1: I got to look back and go, man, that was time, Steve,
- 7:12Speaker 1: when you didn't have no home. But see, we forget
- 7:15Speaker 1: what God has done for us because in our column,
- 7:19Speaker 1: the won't column, the need column. We oftentimes forget for
- 7:24Speaker 1: the columns and the check marks as He's already fulfilled
- 7:28Speaker 1: in our life. You've got to take inventory every now
- 7:32Speaker 1: and then daily if possible. But I know we're humans.
- 7:35Speaker 1: We're not gonna do that. I don't. But you've got
- 7:38Speaker 1: to take inventory of your life to say, hey, what
- 7:43Speaker 1: has God done for me? You know? And remember something
- 7:46Speaker 1: else too. Change is good, but change is challenging. Accept
- 7:52Speaker 1: the challenge that it is. Look a lot of you
- 7:56Speaker 1: come up to me all the time and say, Steve Man,
- 7:59Speaker 1: thank you, man boy, you in the morning. Man, I
- 8:01Speaker 1: really be needing that, Like I under said it one
- 8:04Speaker 1: hundred times, but I'm gonna say it again, y'all. I'll
- 8:06Speaker 1: be needing it too. You know. You understand, sometimes what
- 8:12Speaker 1: God is dealing with me is for me. But now
- 8:15Speaker 1: I'm in a sharing position where I can open up
- 8:18Speaker 1: and if I just if I just quit being so
- 8:21Speaker 1: about me and become a little bit more transparent, I
- 8:24Speaker 1: can maybe some of me that's happening to me is
- 8:27Speaker 1: happening to you, and you can see some of this
- 8:29Speaker 1: in me. That's why I use myself as an example,
- 8:32Speaker 1: because man, I'm catching it too, y'all. I ain't perfect either.
- 8:37Speaker 1: So for those of you that come up to me
- 8:38Speaker 1: and say that, I want you to understand these these
- 8:42Speaker 1: talks in the morning. Man, this is important for me
- 8:45Speaker 1: because man, I need these conversations from God. I need
- 8:49Speaker 1: God to continue to strengthen me, to show me the way,
- 8:53Speaker 1: to help me understand what's happening to me. And see,
- 8:57Speaker 1: as we've all those of you who have made the
- 8:59Speaker 1: decision to change, to become a better person, a better woman,
- 9:03Speaker 1: a better boy, a better girl, a better man. For
- 9:05Speaker 1: those of you have made the decision to change, change
- 9:07Speaker 1: is a challenge, and accept the challenge because it's gonna come.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Because right out of that here come to haters. It
- 9:13Speaker 1: ain't come people you don't even know, discussing your life
- 9:17Speaker 1: and your change. If God see you, really really mean
- 9:21Speaker 1: what you say in spite of what they say about you,
- 9:24Speaker 1: God will raise you above the phrase. He'll keep promoting you,
- 9:29Speaker 1: He'll keep blessing you, He'll keep moving you up. He
- 9:32Speaker 1: will use you as a show off point. He'll show
- 9:36Speaker 1: you off. Man. He'll make you. He'll make you look
- 9:39Speaker 1: good to people man who wish you'd fall all day long.
- 9:43Speaker 1: And so to all your haters, all your haters will
- 9:45Speaker 1: end up just watching you rise. Man, They will watch
- 9:48Speaker 1: you continue to grow. That's what God will do for you. Man.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You can fool the world, but you can't fool God.
- 9:54Speaker 1: God know your heart, He know your every thought. Man,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening to show, ladies and gentlemen, here we are.
- 10:05Speaker 1: It has arrived, the new day, the new chance and
- 10:08Speaker 1: new opportunity. Now today, I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I had to gather myself this morning because unlike yesterday,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I kind of walk up woke I had woke up
- 10:18Speaker 1: yesterday I got some bad news, and so my morning
- 10:22Speaker 1: yesterday was a little rocky in the beginning, right. And
- 10:26Speaker 1: so I have learned over the years that your feelings
- 10:30Speaker 1: are a barometer of your thoughts, meaning that a guy
- 10:34Speaker 1: taught me once that if you're feeling blase, if you're
- 10:38Speaker 1: feeling a little off center, if you're not in a
- 10:41Speaker 1: good mood, all you have to do is go back
- 10:43Speaker 1: for the past thirty minutes and reflect on what you've
- 10:48Speaker 1: been thinking, because your feelings are a barometer of your thoughts.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And so I had to realize that I had been
- 10:54Speaker 1: thinking negative thoughts or bad thoughts based on the bad
- 11:00Speaker 1: news I had gotten, and it was affecting the way
- 11:03Speaker 1: I was feeling, because your feelings are a barometer of
- 11:05Speaker 1: your thoughts. So yesterday was a little rocket from me.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And then in the middle of the day, after I
- 11:10Speaker 1: got it start taping family feud, I had to remember
- 11:14Speaker 1: all the things to be grateful for. So today I
- 11:17Speaker 1: made the necessary adjustments because I'm still grappling with the
- 11:20Speaker 1: news of yesterday. But I decided on the edge of
- 11:23Speaker 1: my bed to start my day with nothing but gratitude,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and I started focusing on all the things God had
- 11:31Speaker 1: done for me relative to my life, to my health.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I mean, He's done some things for me health wise
- 11:38Speaker 1: that I had specifically asked for and he gave them
- 11:41Speaker 1: to me. Now, health is wealth. I know, people who
- 11:44Speaker 1: make a lot of money would give it all up
- 11:46Speaker 1: to be healthy. God has given me that. So man,
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm having a great day. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley
- 11:51Speaker 1: Strawberry call is out today. The Mouth of the South,
- 11:55Speaker 1: Junior and the legend that he is nephew Tommy. I

- 12:07Speaker 1: glad you said. So, I'm glad you feeling that way
- 12:09Speaker 1: because it's a big day for you, big day for you. Yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: what's happening because you remember, remember yesterday I promised, you
- 12:18Speaker 1: promised today no cussin all day? God you had forgot her.

- 21:45Speaker 1: in Saint Louis writes, I'm pregnant with twins and my
- 21:49Speaker 1: fiance just found out he has a two year old
- 21:52Speaker 1: son by a girl he slept with while we were dating.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to work through this with my fiance, but
- 21:58Speaker 1: my parents are telling me to run. Do I follow
- 22:01Speaker 1: my heart or there at life? Well interesting, your parents
- 22:06Speaker 1: want you to run for? What run? Where he has

- 22:55Speaker 1: make you feel? Was it a surprise to him? Has
- 22:57Speaker 1: he shown remore? Does he had regret? You know that

- 23:38Speaker 1: that's your bucket list, the three. He says, he got
- 23:41Speaker 1: the perfect girl in line. That's what you want, what

- 26:14Speaker 1: And he says he loves her, but not like that,
- 26:16Speaker 1: and he would love to keep their current arrangement. How
- 26:19Speaker 1: does he tell her that, though, well, obviously she wants

- 27:51Speaker 1: with another woman, and I've been through hell and back
- 27:55Speaker 1: trying to get a divorce. He left me, So why
- 27:58Speaker 1: not divorced? Men? That boy when he worked one day
- 28:05Speaker 1: thirteen years ago on a show boy, that right there,

- 30:32Speaker 1: they haven't. They had an anonymous donor. Oh, we don't
- 30:37Speaker 1: know him. What what do you think anonymous means? Well,

- 30:45Speaker 1: go ahead anyway, you know, just congratulate down. Okay, how
- 30:52Speaker 1: is who? Okay, explain to me what happened? Come on,
- 30:57Speaker 1: help me, y'all. Okay, women have eggs, men have sperm.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So there was an anonymous buck sperm donor? What when
- 31:10Speaker 1: you want to know what that's coming from? Well, they know, Oh,

- 31:57Speaker 1: in the Brat. Okay, got that part. And that's how
- 32:01Speaker 1: the Brat got pregnant, all right, Okay, okay to explain
- 32:09Speaker 1: the stuff to us like this, but anyway, it's it
- 32:13Speaker 1: really is a medical miracle because that they have had
- 32:16Speaker 1: challenges in the past, both of them and trying to
- 32:19Speaker 1: get pregnant. They wanted a baby, so it is a blessing.
- 32:22Speaker 1: It definitely is a blessing. Has been pregnant before, yes,

- 35:41Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So
- 35:45Speaker 1: Donald Trump back in the news. You know he's campaigning,
- 35:48Speaker 1: He says that nuclear Listen to this, though, this is craziness.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Nuclear is one of the two in words in the
- 35:55Speaker 1: English language which shouldn't ever be mentioned during. Nuclear is
- 36:03Speaker 1: one of the two in words in the English language
- 36:06Speaker 1: which shouldn't ever be Okay, you know what it is, nuclear,
- 36:15Speaker 1: and you know what it is, and let me finish
- 36:18Speaker 1: the story. During a speech to his supporters in West
- 36:22Speaker 1: Palm Beach, Florida on Monday, Trump said, we have two
- 36:26Speaker 1: in words. This is quoting. Now you know what the
- 36:29Speaker 1: other one is. But the other is nuclear. All right.
- 36:33Speaker 1: They're not supposed to ever be mentioned ever ever. Ever,
- 36:36Speaker 1: it's mentioned every single day now. The former president has
- 36:39Speaker 1: been very critical of President Biden's visit to Ukraine. Trump
- 36:44Speaker 1: also mentioned that he had a very good relationship with
- 36:46Speaker 1: Russian President Vladimir Putin, who never ever would have gone
- 36:50Speaker 1: to Ukraine if I were president. That's what Trump said,
- 36:54Speaker 1: Say both of them words together, in words. One of
- 37:00Speaker 1: them is nuclear, You know what the other one is?
- 37:03Speaker 1: All right. I got a partner that when he was mad,
- 37:07Speaker 1: he was an inn in everything you want. Well, that's
- 37:22Speaker 1: a nuclear right down. Well, at least he knows better
- 37:29Speaker 1: than that to say it, but I hope they crush
- 37:31Speaker 1: his spirit and he don't get to run and represent
- 37:35Speaker 1: the Republican Party. I hope they just crush him. I
- 37:38Speaker 1: don't know, Tommy. I have no faith, no faith in
- 37:42Speaker 1: the American public because they are the most behind closed
- 37:47Speaker 1: doors racist group of people I've ever seen. Wow, And
- 37:52Speaker 1: you're gonna see Trump for President's signs all over this
- 37:55Speaker 1: country in front yards, especially my neighborhood. And he can run,
- 38:00Speaker 1: but it still doesn't mean that he's going to get
- 38:02Speaker 1: the nomination. He can run, you know, if he does
- 38:05Speaker 1: get the nomination, it doesn't mean that he's gonna well
- 38:07Speaker 1: for him the nomination. Yes, it's sick. Yeah, after watching
- 38:16Speaker 1: what this man has done, and to put him back
- 38:19Speaker 1: in office right here, man, this is crazy at him
- 38:25Speaker 1: back in there. A lot of January six, Yeah, a
- 38:31Speaker 1: lot of people want him back in there. But this
- 38:33Speaker 1: is what he's talking about on the campaign trail right now.
- 38:36Speaker 1: The two n words nuclear and the other one, they
- 38:41Speaker 1: were convictions that now we don't have to say it.
- 38:45Speaker 1: We know what it is. We definitely know what it is. Yeah,
- 38:49Speaker 1: all right, coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 38:51Speaker 1: we'll check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this,
- 38:58Speaker 1: you're listening same morning show. It is time now to
- 39:03Speaker 1: check your voicemail. Steve. If you would like to leave
- 39:05Speaker 1: a message for Steve, Callum eight seven seven twenty nine
- 39:08Speaker 1: Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve, you just might
- 39:12Speaker 1: hear your call on the air. Are you ready, Steve Harvey?
- 39:17Speaker 1: Now this lady is calling about Beyonce's Renaissance tour tickets.
- 39:21Speaker 1: She wanted to share tasty. Shirley called Tommy and Junior.
- 39:25Speaker 1: I love y'all, I'm just calling this say you know

- 40:17Speaker 1: They don't even call him him. I don't know what
- 40:18Speaker 1: you're talking about. Listen to me. Everybody don't want to
- 40:22Speaker 1: go to see Beyonce, don't go. You're complaining about the
- 40:26Speaker 1: ticket prices, when this is the value that this woman
- 40:30Speaker 1: has created for herself. If it's going to sell out,
- 40:35Speaker 1: that are people who are going to pay. And there's
- 40:39Speaker 1: some people like he who's paying this money gladly. Well,
- 40:44Speaker 1: you've been You've been on stage in front of thousands.
- 40:47Speaker 1: If I could have got a thousand thousand ticket out charge,
- 40:50Speaker 1: you'd have done that. Really, why not if I could
- 40:53Speaker 1: sell it out at a thousand ticket. I was in
- 40:56Speaker 1: a story the other day and I heard this young woman.
- 41:00Speaker 1: She worked at the store. It was like um um,
- 41:03Speaker 1: I forgot where it was Walgreens or CBS, one of those.
- 41:07Speaker 1: And the young lady behind the counter was saying that
- 41:09Speaker 1: she just bought her Beyonce tickets. They were sixteen hundred
- 41:13Speaker 1: dollars and she was happy. She said, Yolo, you only
- 41:17Speaker 1: live once, and she bought hers and cool with it.
- 41:20Speaker 1: You have to look at where people's priorities are. Now.
- 41:23Speaker 1: If that's not your priority to spend that much for
- 41:25Speaker 1: a ticket, then you shouldn't. And and but see you
- 41:29Speaker 1: don't this world, man, they know how people are. Do
- 41:32Speaker 1: you know people who are buying these tickets just so
- 41:36Speaker 1: they can go there and shoot the IG footage to
- 41:39Speaker 1: post that they were there. Oh yeah, dog for the Graham.
- 41:47Speaker 1: This is why this show gonna be sold out. And
- 41:50Speaker 1: all the cameras. People don't even get round of applause
- 41:53Speaker 1: when they come out no more because everybody liked cameras old. Yeah. Man,
- 41:57Speaker 1: this world has changed, man, And y'all, she has created
- 42:02Speaker 1: a demand for herself and she can get that price
- 42:05Speaker 1: for the ticket. Yeah, she's not doing it for the
- 42:08Speaker 1: love of the art, No, most she doing it for money,
- 42:11Speaker 1: all right. And moving on to Kara from La Kara said,
- 42:15Speaker 1: you make her want to make some changes, Hey, Steve
- 42:19Speaker 1: in the Morning Show, that's just Kara called it. From
- 42:21Speaker 1: my fantoms. I heard you say that you had friends
- 42:26Speaker 1: that was drinking, you would like the nice part of them,
- 42:29Speaker 1: and then they would come back to you. They'll come
- 42:32Speaker 1: back brand new, and you just got them all then.
- 42:34Speaker 1: And I laughed about it, but I realized that I
- 42:38Speaker 1: was dealing with the same thing, and it wasn't until
- 42:40Speaker 1: I heard you said that I had to cut some
- 42:44Speaker 1: people off because I got tired of dealing with all
- 42:48Speaker 1: this person's real nice and then they come back and
- 42:50Speaker 1: you know, for some time, and then they come back
- 42:52Speaker 1: real brand new meat and nasty. And I had battled
- 42:56Speaker 1: with that for a long time, for the last couple
- 42:59Speaker 1: of years. But thank you, thank you, thank you, because
- 43:03Speaker 1: that really planted a seed in my spirit to make
- 43:06Speaker 1: some changes. Thank you. You guys, take care. But you
- 43:10Speaker 1: know what, man, there's no law or rule that says
- 43:14Speaker 1: you have to associate yourself with people that don't add
- 43:17Speaker 1: value to you, right, come on, that's that's not even
- 43:21Speaker 1: in the Bible. You're right, you don't. You don't have
- 43:25Speaker 1: to hang out with people who don't add anything to you,
- 43:30Speaker 1: but who are constantly extracting from you. You don't have
- 43:34Speaker 1: to hang with those people. As a matter of fact,
- 43:36Speaker 1: you do yourself a disservice. And I don't feel guilty
- 43:39Speaker 1: about not hanging out with nobody, no more than I
- 43:42Speaker 1: don't hang out with because once I find out you
- 43:44Speaker 1: that way, I'm out, man, And that ain't my fault,
- 43:47Speaker 1: all right, all right, thanks for your calls. Coming up next,
- 43:51Speaker 1: the prank phone call from the nephew right after this
- 43:54Speaker 1: you're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 43:59Speaker 1: the hour. Write about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:02Speaker 1: letter for today, and the subject is he is stuck
- 44:05Speaker 1: to me like glue. Pretty sticky. Yeah, find out what
- 44:13Speaker 1: that's all about. Who don't want to stick him in?
- 44:16Speaker 1: You ought to want to stick him in? What's that?
- 44:19Speaker 1: We'll find out just a bit. Right now, the nephew
- 44:22Speaker 1: is here with today's prank phone call. What you got new? Well, fairly,
- 44:26Speaker 1: you know, we always have this problem, you know, we
- 44:29Speaker 1: as African Americans, we have this problem when we when
- 44:32Speaker 1: we go to a funeral, and and the and the
- 44:36Speaker 1: and the minister says, you know, can you keep your
- 44:39Speaker 1: remarks to three minutes. There's some people that love to
- 44:43Speaker 1: go to funerals. I don't know if you'll talk about
- 44:45Speaker 1: that's the whole thing to the love out of it.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Don't even want to go to funerals. Man, don't got
- 44:51Speaker 1: that black suit, that blue suit. They read it, boy,
- 44:54Speaker 1: you know, from a male perspective. They read temmy that
- 44:57Speaker 1: had to see the body and see. I don't get that.
- 45:01Speaker 1: I don't That's the last thing I want to see. Yes,
- 45:04Speaker 1: that's the last thing I want to see is the body.
- 45:08Speaker 1: She had to see the body. I want to remember
- 45:11Speaker 1: the loved one in my head, the way I got him.
- 45:14Speaker 1: I don't need to see the body and build any
- 45:17Speaker 1: closed casket funerals. Okay, And and and don't let me
- 45:21Speaker 1: get this, don't let me get to talk about those
- 45:23Speaker 1: that want to take a picture with the Oh Lord,
- 45:27Speaker 1: oh God forbid. I got a great time in. I
- 45:30Speaker 1: got a great all you every time you call her,
- 45:32Speaker 1: that's where she's going to a funeral. Yeah, you know
- 45:36Speaker 1: what's going on. Carolin Mason passed. I'm finding going down
- 45:39Speaker 1: there and see her. I'm saying, I'll be like every week,
- 45:43Speaker 1: every week, every week, man, every week. All right, this
- 45:48Speaker 1: right here is three minute remarks, three minute remarks. Let's go,
- 45:52Speaker 1: cat dog. Well, yes, I'm trying to reach her brother Keith, please, yeah,
- 45:58Speaker 1: this is Keith, Keith. How you doing? This? Is Lawrence
- 46:02Speaker 1: over at your funeral home? Okay. We are the ones
- 46:08Speaker 1: that have the uh doing the funeral for sister Dolores.
- 46:13Speaker 1: That is uh your my understanding, right yeah? Okay, And
- 46:20Speaker 1: as you know, the funeral is uh this coming Thursday. Yes,
- 46:25Speaker 1: I'll be that Thursday. I'm giving you a call because
- 46:30Speaker 1: it's been brought to my attention, uh that you were
- 46:35Speaker 1: going to be giving remarks for the funeral. Is that correct? Yes? Absolutely? Okay.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I wanted to call you because we're getting ready to
- 46:44Speaker 1: print the programs for the funeral and let you know
- 46:49Speaker 1: that they have taken you off for the remarks because
- 46:55Speaker 1: they say that you're not going to be What do
- 46:59Speaker 1: you mean taking me off? Well, what I'm saying is
- 47:02Speaker 1: they say that you're you're not going to abide by
- 47:05Speaker 1: the two three minute rule that they have for remarks,
- 47:09Speaker 1: and they wanted they've they've taken you off. And uh
- 47:13Speaker 1: uh who? Who? Who is they? Who? Who? Who come off? Who? Who?
- 47:18Speaker 1: What's your name is? Lawrench? I'm launched, I'm the actual
- 47:22Speaker 1: funeral director lord? And who who told you to take
- 47:26Speaker 1: me off? One of the one of the family members
- 47:29Speaker 1: I'm assuming is who who made the adjustment? And an
- 47:33Speaker 1: adjustment that ain't no adjustment, that's that's changing the whole program?
- 47:38Speaker 1: Who else is on the list? I mean there's quite
- 47:41Speaker 1: a few family members doing different things, uh throughout the funeral. Okay,
- 47:46Speaker 1: So how did you get to my name? Is what?
- 47:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out that they said that. Let
- 47:51Speaker 1: listen to me. Listen, listen to me. Listen to me,
- 47:54Speaker 1: brother Keith, Listen to me. What they said it is
- 47:56Speaker 1: that you weren't going to abide by the time. You
- 48:01Speaker 1: weren't going to do your remarks in three minutes or less. Listen, listen, listen, listen.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Monty raised me. He put me through college. And you
- 48:11Speaker 1: think I'm ben I've Beenna goes there in her funeral
- 48:15Speaker 1: and be under two minutes. Well, well, listen to listen,
- 48:19Speaker 1: brother Keith. Brother, keep listen to me. Normally, when we
- 48:22Speaker 1: have these funerals, people who give remarks, we have them
- 48:26Speaker 1: three minutes or less. Okay, I'll tell you what. I'll
- 48:31Speaker 1: tell you what mister Lord don't list? Is she Lord list?
- 48:37Speaker 1: We have a sealer. Yes, there's a sealer that's singing
- 48:41Speaker 1: your name off the list. Take her off the list
- 48:44Speaker 1: and put me where she's supposed to be with my
- 48:46Speaker 1: turn and her time is Bobby Bobby Now, yes, Bobby
- 48:55Speaker 1: Junior is given remarks. That's a that's that's the Lord's
- 48:59Speaker 1: that's mister Lord as his son right, Yes, every son,
- 49:02Speaker 1: the one that been locked up, he just got out
- 49:05Speaker 1: of tail, the truth be told. He one, damn then
- 49:07Speaker 1: put her in the coffee. You need to take him
- 49:09Speaker 1: off the list too. Give me all that time, because
- 49:12Speaker 1: I mean, if I ain gonna take nothing that Keith,
- 49:15Speaker 1: let me let me. Let me just say this to you.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I cannot take she Law or Boby Junior off. I
- 49:22Speaker 1: can't make any alterations to this program unless they say that, Actually, sir,
- 49:30Speaker 1: you already you already taking you already taking people name off.
- 49:33Speaker 1: You're taking my name off. But but they they orchestrated
- 49:37Speaker 1: this though. Who is they? Who is Day? They? For
- 49:41Speaker 1: having my problems? They try to take me off my
- 49:44Speaker 1: hockey program? Who is Day? Sir? I'm not gonna get
- 49:48Speaker 1: into a family matter. But until they say that, you can't, Sir,
- 49:54Speaker 1: I'm not gonna. I don't want to. I don't want
- 49:56Speaker 1: to have this turn out to be bad and we
- 49:59Speaker 1: want I have a great homegoing for sister Deloyer. Okay,
- 50:03Speaker 1: damn Right, And if I don't get to say nothing,
- 50:06Speaker 1: I guarantee you, I guarantee you it's gonna be a
- 50:08Speaker 1: truthful one in there. Somebody else don't get things and
- 50:11Speaker 1: the call for two, I guarantee that if I don't
- 50:14Speaker 1: get to say nothing in my Mounty funeral. Monekey didn't
- 50:17Speaker 1: pay for them college. I didn't put six thousand novel
- 50:21Speaker 1: in the funeral. I bet you I tell you this.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I'll tell you this, mister Lord. I bet you whether
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'm on the program I'm not. I bet you I
- 50:29Speaker 1: say it with the I want to. I'll bet you
- 50:31Speaker 1: that much. You tell by that I didn't. Unty didn't
- 50:36Speaker 1: put me through college. I can put money on the funeral.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I called around a few who ain't putting no money
- 50:42Speaker 1: on the funeral. Tell them they can't see on the program, man, Keith.
- 50:47Speaker 1: They when they decide who who, Who's own it? If
- 50:52Speaker 1: they changed the format, then I will call you back.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Who who the is they? That's what I was trying
- 50:59Speaker 1: to get. Get you understand who is back? Can I
- 51:02Speaker 1: can I tell you something? And I don't want you
- 51:04Speaker 1: to get to I raped Okay, ahead, go ahead, go ahead, man.
- 51:09Speaker 1: I just want to say this, Keith with This is
- 51:12Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Mornin Show. You just
- 51:15Speaker 1: got breakd just gotten franked by your cousin, Bobby Junior.
- 51:22Speaker 1: You boom, I'm Bobby Junior Up. I'm kicking Bobby I
- 51:31Speaker 1: know that my love pressure is all up. I ain't
- 51:35Speaker 1: got found to be playing man taking me up damn program.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I'm oh, Bobby, Bobby said, y'all grew up like brothers, man,
- 51:48Speaker 1: and you was. You was basically another son of mister Lord's.
- 51:52Speaker 1: That's right, Yes, yes, I was. Man. Oh hey, let
- 51:57Speaker 1: me ask you this man, what is the baddest and
- 52:00Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the land, Steve
- 52:04Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Yeah yeah, look at that, look at him? Okay, man,
- 52:13Speaker 1: We ought to get together and go to a funeral together,

- 52:25Speaker 1: you know when he when he came out of high
- 52:27Speaker 1: school and fifty five. Well, we don't even know him. Baltimore,
- 52:34Speaker 1: Maryland and nephew will be there tomorrow night. That's right,
- 52:38Speaker 1: tomorrow night. I got one on Friday two. On Saturday,
- 52:41Speaker 1: the nephew is coming to the Baltimore Comedy Factory. I
- 52:43Speaker 1: think Saturday is completely sold. I got about man maybe
- 52:46Speaker 1: about ten fifteen tickets left for Friday Night Baby seven
- 52:49Speaker 1: thirty show, got a few tickets left. The Nephew is
- 52:52Speaker 1: coming to Baltimore back by popular demand at the Comedy Factory. Yeah.

- 53:34Speaker 1: never know it could be yours. That's right, all right,
- 53:39Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. You We got it
- 53:40Speaker 1: for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter, thanking few,
- 53:44Speaker 1: subject he is stuck to me like glue. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 53:48Speaker 1: I'm thirty nine years old and I married a man
- 53:50Speaker 1: that is very clingy. We dated for two years before
- 53:54Speaker 1: we got married, and we lived in different states, so
- 53:57Speaker 1: when we spent time together, it wasn't an issue when
- 53:59Speaker 1: we wanted to be around when he wanted to be
- 54:02Speaker 1: around me all day. He moved to my city when
- 54:04Speaker 1: we got married, and he works from home. He hasn't
- 54:08Speaker 1: branched out and made any new friends because he was
- 54:10Speaker 1: focused on me the first year of our marriage. It's
- 54:14Speaker 1: our second year now, so I need him to move
- 54:16Speaker 1: around and find something to do that does not involved
- 54:20Speaker 1: hanging around me. I suggested he hang out with some
- 54:23Speaker 1: of my friends husbands, but he said at his age
- 54:26Speaker 1: he doesn't need new friends. I'm a homebody, but since
- 54:30Speaker 1: marrying him, I get the urge to go out more
- 54:33Speaker 1: and be with my friends. The other night, I was
- 54:36Speaker 1: lying on the sofa catching up on my reality shows,
- 54:39Speaker 1: and he lifted me up and put my head on
- 54:41Speaker 1: his lap, which made me very uncomfortable. If I'd moved
- 54:46Speaker 1: or adjusted myself, he would have been offended. He always
- 54:49Speaker 1: says my body language is off, so I'm mindful of
- 54:52Speaker 1: my expressions. If I'm in the shower, he sits and
- 54:56Speaker 1: talks to me. Some women would think it's so sweet,
- 54:59Speaker 1: but needs some space. I don't enjoy going to the
- 55:02Speaker 1: mall with him because he picks up things and suggests
- 55:05Speaker 1: that I try them on. My best friend says that
- 55:08Speaker 1: maybe he wants me to dress differently, but I don't
- 55:10Speaker 1: care what he wants anymore. Our marriage is too new
- 55:13Speaker 1: for me to be this annoyed with him. I don't
- 55:16Speaker 1: want to have a long intimate experience every time, but
- 55:19Speaker 1: he loves it. He really is stuck to me like glue.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Is this how all great husbands act? Is it cool
- 55:26Speaker 1: to tell him that's that he's smothering me? Or would
- 55:29Speaker 1: I sound ungrateful? Well, if you said, hey, you're smothering me, yeah,
- 55:33Speaker 1: you would sound ungrateful? Is it you know how all
- 55:38Speaker 1: great husbands act? No? But it's always something. I mean,
- 55:42Speaker 1: most women are probably saying, how is this a bad thing?
- 55:46Speaker 1: Because they long for their husbands to spend more time
- 55:49Speaker 1: with them. So many couples crave that attention, and you
- 55:53Speaker 1: get it freely and you don't even want it, And
- 55:55Speaker 1: you haven't said anything negative about him except that he's
- 56:00Speaker 1: too clingy. He's not a cheater, he's not a liar
- 56:02Speaker 1: and abuser. He's not controlling. He's not dating your friends,
- 56:06Speaker 1: he's not dating your sister, he's not dating your mom.
- 56:10Speaker 1: You know those are what we get, the kinds of
- 56:12Speaker 1: strawberry letters we usually get. No, you're just mad because
- 56:15Speaker 1: he likes to be around you, in your words, way
- 56:18Speaker 1: too much, and after only two years of marriage, you've
- 56:21Speaker 1: started to resent him for this. So how do you
- 56:24Speaker 1: fix this? You know? What do you do? I mean,
- 56:27Speaker 1: because I get it. We all need time for us,
- 56:30Speaker 1: we all need me time. I do get that concept.
- 56:33Speaker 1: But I got to ask you. You spend a lot
- 56:36Speaker 1: of time together, but it doesn't sound like you're talking
- 56:39Speaker 1: or you're communicating. You haven't said that in the letter either. Communication.
- 56:42Speaker 1: You know it very important in a relationship. Where is
- 56:45Speaker 1: that part of your marriage? You've already given up on that.
- 56:49Speaker 1: You talk to your friends, you've written us, But talk
- 56:52Speaker 1: to your man. I mean, you should have told him
- 56:55Speaker 1: this long before. Now. You've actually waited so long. You're
- 57:00Speaker 1: so disgusted and angry that I hope you have the
- 57:03Speaker 1: patience to tell him nicely that you need time alone.
- 57:06Speaker 1: Sometimes I say do it now, because you can't continue.
- 57:11Speaker 1: You you're you're not happy right here. You can't continue
- 57:14Speaker 1: in this clingy space. You will end up hating him
- 57:16Speaker 1: or worse, you know, filing for divorce. Steve, you too much,
- 57:25Speaker 1: You too damn much. You're just a lot? What you
- 57:28Speaker 1: gay now? Surely I like you answer, because you're trying
- 57:34Speaker 1: to keep your family together. But he too much. At
- 57:41Speaker 1: he's more than a lot. He too much. This woman
- 57:46Speaker 1: can't even go in the shower without him coming there
- 57:49Speaker 1: and letting the lead down, sitting on the tarlet, talking
- 57:52Speaker 1: to Hut. I'm taking a shower, I'm laying on the couch.
- 57:59Speaker 1: This woman laying on the couch watching TV, getting caught
- 58:03Speaker 1: up on her. He come in there, lift her up,
- 58:07Speaker 1: sit down and lay her head on his lap. Man.
- 58:15Speaker 1: I'm surprised at anybody that don't see this as a problem.
- 58:21Speaker 1: I don't care. As Shirley said, how many women would
- 58:24Speaker 1: love to have. Oh you think you want this? But
- 58:29Speaker 1: every day, all day here he comes, touching, touching, holding, holding,
- 58:39Speaker 1: lay on my left. Do it like this? He'll put
- 58:41Speaker 1: this old hell, hold me, walk with me. I don't
- 58:45Speaker 1: want no friend. Man, get out the house. She's thirty nine. Look,
- 58:53Speaker 1: they've been married for two years. It says to death,
- 58:56Speaker 1: do you part? I gotta do this till I die.
- 59:01Speaker 1: This is what we're doing this right here. Everybody needs
- 59:07Speaker 1: some me time man. Too much of anything is bad
- 59:10Speaker 1: for you. You can drink too much water as good
- 59:13Speaker 1: as water is. You can drink too much water as
- 59:18Speaker 1: good as sleep is. You can sleep too much as
- 59:22Speaker 1: rewarding as work can be. You can work too much
- 59:28Speaker 1: as good as cake taste. You can eat too much care,
- 59:34Speaker 1: too much money. Too much money is bad for you.
- 59:38Speaker 1: If you don't know how to handle a little bit
- 59:41Speaker 1: of money. I'm telling you it really, really is. You're
- 59:45Speaker 1: not gonna believe it. We come back or re enact me.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I'm feeling coming in. Hold on, Steve, all right, we'll
- 59:54Speaker 1: have part two of your response coming up at twenty
- 59:56Speaker 1: three minutes after today's Strawberry Letters. Subject is he is
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: stuck to me like glue. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is he is
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: stuck to me like glue. Here's a woman that's struggling.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Been married for two years. She's thirty nine years old.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: They when they dated, they lived in different states, and
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: so when he came over, they're clinging to her. She
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: thought was cute. Well, they got married. She's moved he's
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: moved to the same state they lived together. He works
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: from home, and the clinging has continued. She can't do nothing.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: He home all the time. She's a home body. She's
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: tried to introduce him to her girlfriend's husband's He say,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: at this age, he don't need no new friendoms. She
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: watching TV. He walking in that picking her head of
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: laying it in his lap. Old. How comes everything is
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: about him? She in the shower here he comes, sitting
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: on the toilet to talk. They can't. She can't do nothing.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: She wants to tell him is too much, but he's sensitive.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: He said, my body's language is off, and if I'm
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: mindful of my expressions, if I'm in the shower, he
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: sits and talks to me. He just too much. Now
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: there's a couple of things, ma'am. He's insecure, could be
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: or he can't believe his luck. You the finest thing
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: could have ever happened to him, and he can't believe
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: in and he trying to do what he thinks it
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: holds on to it. But nothing worse than a cleaning man,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: because cleaning get right up against needy if it keep on.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And everybody needs some space, some me time, now you
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: can get too much me time, you can get too
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: much fat. So I have a sermon today church music
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: please m hmm. Looking for the pastors music we we
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: come to day. Yeah, I'm here if you need me
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: on this. Okay, thank you, dude. M. The title of
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: today's sermon is. He stuck to me like glue. He
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: stopped to me like, oh, we're not talking have glue.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: We're not talking al must glue. No, not Alma. We
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: talking model airplane glue. M we ain't talking Corpenters glue.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: We not talking we glue now blue. No, but we're talking.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: He stuck to me like gorilla glue. I'm talking about
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the glue where there is no separation. Naha. Well was
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: he going it? Don't come off my hair, don't. I'm
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: in the shower. Yeah, he on the tarlet talking to me.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: He right there, bafter, that's too much. I'm in the
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: car driving, he working the gas and the brake pedal.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: That's too much. I go to the bathroom to use
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: the bathroom myself in a most profound way. Yeah. He
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: comes in now folding toilet tissue, like letting me help you.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: That's too much. Not oh, we're talking too much now. Yeah,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: in the bathroom, brushing my teeth, and here he come.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: I want to risk out my mouth? How you rent
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: somebody else? We're talking too much now in here getting
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: ready for work. I putting my leg in my panis
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: he put his leg, you know, all the hole. Wait
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: a minute, it's just too much. Now I think we're
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: too close. Now we can't wear draps. I'm putting on
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: my brawl. I got one breast in the right cup.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: You're gonna put his breast in the left cup. And
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: we're talking. He stuck to me, that's double breasted like that,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: And that's exactly what he said. Tom, ain't this Q
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Now we're double breasted? Huh? Beginning to think that this
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: marriage is a mistake. M Uh. We had dinner. I'm
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: eating my steak all right, all right. I cut the
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: meat and put it in my mouth. He take the
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: meat out in my mouth and chew it for me.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: And this is too much. It's too much. You gotta chewer,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: you gotta uh don't believe I want this type of
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: look too much? Yeah, ah boy. Posting comments on Today's
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey, I don't see this lasting
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Shirley on Facebook and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: on demand. Now coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: the hour, it is Junior and Sports Talk right after
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: this you're listening show. It is time now for Junior
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: and Sports Talk. Junior. What you got all right? Surely
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: been some moves. I'll just you know, Eric Benemy then
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: left the Chiefs. Up your Fred brother didn't left the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Chiefs and now become the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Now question, I have, man, after two Super Bowl wins,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: this brother still don't have no head coaching job. Everybody
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: he should have been had one. Man, I just think
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: it's it's just a same. That's why he's moving on
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: because he's under Andy reid shadow and he's not getting
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: full credit for the work he does because Andy Reid
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: will every ninety and call plays himself, and so I
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: think he had to move on to really assert himself
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: and show what he does because with the Andy Reid
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: as the head roach and Patrick Mahons as the coach,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: it really overshadows his real skill set us offensive coordinating.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: I think by moving on, that may be what he's
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: trying to do. I hope that's a great move for
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: him too. Man. Also, man, you know Derek Carr has
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: been released by the Las Vegas Raiders. Tell me another
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: quarterback we can use. Just we're just begging. We're begging
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: at this point. We're gonna beg just gonna hear Derek.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: If you ain't doing nothing, come on that. We got
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: the rodeo when Houston going on right now, come on,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: we got nobody's going to play for y'all's owner. Man,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's y'alls from everybody that the word
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: and got out about this guy. A man, I just
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: hate that. Man. We just y'alls on the man is
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: the reason. It's one of the reasons that Sean Watson
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: got much trouble. Yeah. Oh he he sicked the dogs
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: on it. He did that and everybody and them cats
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: ain't going over there. No, I wouldn't want to play
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: for it. But we can still use the quarterback because
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Davis Mills ain't gonna be it. Also with other news, man,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: here it is the draft is covered up to talk
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: is about the Chicago Now what you think they should do? Tommy,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: this is just for us because we number two, but
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: the Chicago Bass, I'll talk about trading Justin Fields and
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: drafted Bright Hump. Now, this this would hurt us because
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: we need it's a good quarterback right there. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Justin Fields. I think he's a great quarter he can
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: stay in Chicago. Don't do that. Let us have Bright Hump.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: That's who we need. The draft is not for you
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: to get the best team you can get. The draft
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: is for them to get the best team they can
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: get it. They're not trying to help, y'all. Let us
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: have Bryce and let child have Bryce. That's not how
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: this work. Many Well, hey, I want them to let
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the Brown have us super Bowl? Right alright, thank you, Junior.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Steve, a
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: guy on social media, needs advice about his girlfriend's loyalty test.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: all right, So Steve Michael on Facebook rights. Things have
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: been going good with my girlfriend and we've been talking
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: about marriage. I'm even ready to propose, but she accidentally
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: left an email open and I've found out about some
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: plans that really have me angry. It's not like I've
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: been snooping, but I needed to use the computer and
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: there it was Apparently she and a few of her
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: friends are planning a quote loyalty test or a quote
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: cheat test to see if I'm worthy. It's supposed to
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: go down this weekend. They're setting up a whole scheme
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: or opportunity for me to cheat that my girlfriend and
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: her friends have scripted out. So, Steve Tommy Junior, here's
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: the question. Do I play along with it? Do I
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: call her out? Kill mountain? What? Boy? You have been
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: handed the gift of all hills? Boy? Can you find
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: your pass this test? With flying colors? Dog? You can
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: prepare statement? How dare you? I am about to marry
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the woman of my dream? I would never consider who
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: I get away from me? Oh boy, you can set
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: yourself up for a lifetime of enjoyment. Yes, dude, don't
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: be angry. It's a loyalty test and you are going
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: to pass it. With flying colors. Boy, this is one
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: of the greatest yours. You're going in and say just
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: about anything. Baby, guess what Cheryl tried to tell me yesterday.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: You ain't gonna beleeve this. No, you ain't even got
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: to do that. Man. Just go baby, listen, man, you
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: can boy, you can set yourself for or again, oh
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: this is sheer joy. You found this and you mad?
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: You're stupid. You must be in your twenties, have to be,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: have to be so use it to his advantage. Yeah,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: that's what you guys are starting that email and you
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: know what's going on? Yeah, oh man, how would you
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: be acting? How'd you be acting if you just knew
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: this information? Just one of them? I actually cry. I cried,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: How could you? How could you? How could you if
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: you only knew her, if you only knew how she was? Man,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: She's like the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: She's the most beautiful, exquisite, She's just everything. And look,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: even though I'm flattered with this, I could never ever
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: I'm so looking forward to saying these vibes. I could
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: have never meant anything more in my whole life. I
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: can't even wait to utter the words to death do
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: us part? Because it for me, this this proposal that
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: you're giving to me, it is absurd. I wouldn't do
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: it for a million I wouldn't do it for ten
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: million dollars. Wow, dog, I would say, dog? Would her
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: girlfriends would really want to sleep with me? After? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I have my picker to live after that dog, I'm
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: afraid all right, if we have time, we have one more.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I'm working with a guy, this one says. This is
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: from Chris. I'm working with a guy who's who's driving
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: everyone insane. There's got to be a way to shut
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: him down. Have you ever hung out with someone who
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: can't let anyone have a spotlight even for a second.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: No one, I mean no one can tell a story
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: or share an experience that this guy doesn't feel the
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: need to one up. I don't want to slam the guy,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: but has gotten to the point where we don't even
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: want to talk about what we're having for lunch because
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: somehow his lunch experience will be better or more interesting.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: All of us at the job are like, come on, dog,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: stop tripping. So Steve, what's the best way to check homeboy?
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Is no, no, no, no, no. I know people like that.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: So now, since we one up in stories, the story
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: that the next story that I'm about to tell you
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: for you to top this when you would actually have
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: to beat christ I'm been to set one out there.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: So far do I flu with it? All right? Coming
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after the hour, We'll have more
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: listening to show, all right, Steve, it it's time for
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: our health and wellness moment. Please tell us about your
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: green powder drink Elevate You and how it's going. Thank you, Tommy.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Tommy tried it for the first time this week. I
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: loved it. I loved it. I loved it and I
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: felt good. Uh And I actually been doing it everything
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: every day since then. So I like it. Man, Which
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: flavor I feel better and say, especially before working out?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and the flavor good. That's what I was
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: really concerned about it. How is this gonna taste? You know,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: we can't stay in that yuck taste. It was actually
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: I wanted some moat. How about that? I Can I
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: take this more than once a day? Yeah, because that's
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: actually was one of the big concerns of mine, because
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I know how important it is to drink it daily,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Greens and what it can do for you on the
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: selling level. But I just couldn't gag it down. And
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: this changed my whole game around. Man, It's just a
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: game change. It's just a really, really great taste and
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: it's changing a lot of people's lives. Man. It's helping
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: people feel more energetic, it's helping people with their digestive health,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: it's helping people focus more. I don't miss a day, man.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: I go to the gym now before I come to
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: the radio show in the morning, so I'm up super
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: early to get it in because I found out if
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I try to work out after radio, too much of
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: my day gets anyway. It's just great. Elevate you dot com.

- 1:15:57Speaker 1: you're listening morning show, it is time now for a
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: round of would you rather? Would you rather get food
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: poisoning during a business meeting or would you rather get
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: food poisoning during a vacation? Why do I want to
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: be full of pas? Why? Why is that a woody
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: rather probably doing the business meeting? I don't want to
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: mess up the vacation, right, yeah, yeah, business will be
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: good now. I'm off a week now, I gotta vacation. Yes, yeah, Steve,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I want to stow up on the conference table. Yeah
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: everybody see, yeah, everybody wanted a business meeting. Yeah, I
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: don't want to do it on vacation, all right. Would
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: you rather be alone for the next five years or
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: never be alone for the next five years? Alone, as

- 1:17:50Speaker 1: What he's saying, I'm not doing well with height. Now
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: you shut up. You ain't gonna let that slide up
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: under the couples. I saw heard it. I missed that.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Well not the only thing about that water slide is
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: where as we slide into this fast waiting see Yeah,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: if I'm sliding down in the thirteen fifteen feet of water, water, yeah, man,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I need some slide. Was on the Steve Harvey Show.

- 1:18:25Speaker 1: and I had to get on the ride. Yeah, man,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: tell me what I do though. Okay, no, all right,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: think back to your school days. This is the last one.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Would you rather get the worst grades in in an
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: honors class or get the best grades in a remedial class? Remedial? Well,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I'm at the top of the class. What did you
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: come up? I did that. I was in a remedial
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: fast for four weeks by accident. They put me in
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: a remedial class for four weeks trade days. I was
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: so hurt when they put me back in the regular fan.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: All right, guys, that's today's rounded. Would you rather coming
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: up at forty nine minutes after we'll have our last

- 1:19:59Speaker 1: not that can't be custom. Hey, you know what I
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: have from closing remarks, I want to remind people of
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: something I know. Sometimes in life, all of us we
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: get discouraged sometimes because of things we hope for and
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: aspire to and plan on. They almost never ever work
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: out that way. I have never set out to accomplish
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: a plan and it went according to plan, not one
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: single time. I don't know of anything of value that
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: I set out to accomplish that I had a plan
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: to attain and it went according to plan. Nothing. No
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: business deal, no pitch meeting, no nothing. Something has always
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: gone counter to the plan that I had. What I
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: had to come to terms with and come to terms
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: to realize about that is when you plan something, there
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: is no way for you humanly possible to factor in
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: all all of the scenarios. It's impossible for you to
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: factor in all of the factors. You can't possibly know
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: all of the little idiosyncrasies that's going to occur. So
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: your plan will always have twists, turns, ups, downs, peaks
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: and valleys, But at the end of it, it can
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: be a beautiful thing. I don't know if you've ever
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: paid attention to nature and everything, but I was noticing
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: something one day and somebody could probably give me an example,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: but I haven't personally seen it. In nature, there are
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: no straight lines, but nature provides some of the most
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: beautiful sceneries, the most beautiful objects, the most beautiful visions
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: that you will ever see. When you look in the
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: sky at the stars, there are no straight lines. When
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: you look at the water, that are no straight lines.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: When you look at cloud formations, that are no straight lines.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: When you look at babbling brooks and streams and rivers
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: that roll through the countryside. There are no straight lines.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: When you look at the beautiful alps, the mountains and everything,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: there are no straight lines. When you look at desert
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: dunes and sands, you see no straight lines. When you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: look at metals and fields of wheat and daisy and lavender,
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: there are no straight lines. When you look at hillsides,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: that are no straight your line. But yet in still nature.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: God's creation of mother Nature is some of the most
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: beautiful things we've ever seen. But I've never seen myself
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: personally any straight lines in nature, which gives me hope
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: that the way God is shaping your life with all
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: of his many twisting turns, the way God is forming
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: everything that happens to you, with all the ups and
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: downs and curves, eventually, if you keep their faith, it
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: can be a beautiful thing. Now, life will never be
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: a continuous flow of beautiful things for you. That is
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: not how it works. And don't think just because you
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: prayed about something that that means it's automatically going to
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: happen right away, problem free. That's not the promise. That's
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: not the promise I wish I had in front of me.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: Something that I read some time ago about asking God
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: for something. And at the end of it, the man
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: had asked God for strength, and so he gave him
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: problems to solve. And then I'm just paraphrasing it now.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: The man asked him, you know, for all these different things,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: but everything he asked God for he presented an issue
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: that had him solved the problem. At the end of it,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: he said, God gave me nothing I ask for, but
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: everything I needed. You know, sometimes when you're asking God
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: for strength, do you know that He's gonna do things
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: and cause things that happen in your life to strengthen you.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: That's how it works, man, And so I think, man,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: as you go through life, if you can just understand
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: that God is gracious, man, that God is kind, that
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: God is loving forgiving, and God is giving, and when
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: you ask Him for something, just understand it's not going
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: to be in a straight line, but it's okay. Get
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: on the journey with him and watch how it works.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: And it always can end up as a beautiful thing,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: even when it don't go your way, and which, oh,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: by the way, when does it ever? But somehow God
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: gets you right where you need to be in oftentimes
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: in a better place. So you just got to follow
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: along everybody, and just notice you ain't the only one
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: going through it. You ain't the only one been through it.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: It's happening to everybody. That's why it keeps happening to you.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: But if you keep the faith, keep believing, and just
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: watch how he works. Because God, he's a bad man.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Yeah he is. He's a bad man. Those are my
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: closing remarks. I hope that helps you today. Talk to
