- 1:26Speaker 1: be a third appearance on this show. That's because she
- 1:29Speaker 1: makes it happen and she tells it like it is,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and she is a branding and marketing as they say Maven,
- 1:35Speaker 1: She's the CEO or be your own brand, which is
- 1:38Speaker 1: b while will be trademarked by her. Is the culmination
- 1:41Speaker 1: of two decades of experience as a marketing executive specializing
- 1:45Speaker 1: in branding and imaging for talents such as Mayor j Blath,
- 1:49Speaker 1: Sean PD de Combs, Tony Braxton, Lenny Kravitz, Jero, Scott,
- 1:54Speaker 1: baby Face, Later Hathaway, and many more. Please welcome to
- 1:57Speaker 1: money making conversations the incredible Sheila Coates. Good morning, Good morning.
- 2:06Speaker 1: How you doing Sheila? I am blessed? How are you well?
- 2:09Speaker 1: You don't feel good talking to you because you have
- 2:10Speaker 1: that fantastic tone in your voice and you are you
- 2:14Speaker 1: know it's it's elegant and intelligence personified. You know what
- 2:18Speaker 1: I'm saying. Flattery will get you. Well, I got to.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I got to. You know the thing about it, whenever
- 2:26Speaker 1: I have you on the show, whenever we're talking and uh,
- 2:29Speaker 1: because we have a relationship where we can communicate and
- 2:31Speaker 1: it's all about how we can get better, how we
- 2:34Speaker 1: can um take the next step, because there's no you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: you're never satisfied. I think people tend to believe that
- 2:40Speaker 1: when you reach your goal, it stops, and that's where
- 2:43Speaker 1: they make a major mistake. Correct exactly. Look, you're you're
- 2:47Speaker 1: an example of that personified. You know how many goals
- 2:50Speaker 1: have you obtained? And you keep on moving. I think
- 2:52Speaker 1: life is about learning and constantly bettering yourself and understanding
- 2:56Speaker 1: what you bring to the table. Okay, cool with that
- 2:59Speaker 1: being said, B y O B. Which is be your
- 3:03Speaker 1: own brand that's been trademarked by you? What is it all?
- 3:07Speaker 1: About So we've got cause I got you for two
- 3:09Speaker 1: breaks today, so we can slow it down. We're gonna
- 3:12Speaker 1: get the word out. You know, if we've talked about
- 3:14Speaker 1: how we're going to eventually create these relationships where you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: we're gonna do conferences around the country and seminars around
- 3:20Speaker 1: the country, and you're gonna be a major player and
- 3:22Speaker 1: that Please explain to everybody why what is b y
- 3:25Speaker 1: o b okay b will be in a nutshell is
- 3:29Speaker 1: helping people understand how to define their uniqueness and why
- 3:33Speaker 1: is that important? Because you need to know your competitive edge.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I'm not the only one doing branding. You're not the
- 3:38Speaker 1: only one who has a radio show. But what you
- 3:41Speaker 1: bring to the table and who you are is what
- 3:43Speaker 1: makes you unique. It separates you from everybody else. So
- 3:46Speaker 1: what I hope people do and help companies do, is
- 3:50Speaker 1: to find that uniqueness. What makes you you? Why you?
- 3:53Speaker 1: You know, we all think we're hot, we all think
- 3:55Speaker 1: we're amazing, But it's something that you bring to the
- 3:58Speaker 1: table that other people don't. It's like your DNA if
- 4:01Speaker 1: you look at your fingertips. You know, the policemen always
- 4:05Speaker 1: go to the fingertips and they're closed to someone else,
- 4:07Speaker 1: but it's not quite that one line that goes in
- 4:09Speaker 1: a different direction says that that'ster Sean McDonald because that's
- 4:13Speaker 1: dealer coats. The same is true for your brand and
- 4:17Speaker 1: b y b aboy, branding you on who you are,
- 4:20Speaker 1: not what you do, because of what will change. If
- 4:24Speaker 1: you were branding yourself on being a television writer and
- 4:27Speaker 1: then being you know, a partner with Steve Harvey, then
- 4:31Speaker 1: you could never go into anything else you wanted to do,
- 4:34Speaker 1: never branded herself in one lane. So that goes to
- 4:39Speaker 1: the question about multiple streams of income. Yes, and a
- 4:42Speaker 1: lot of people say that, but they don't. There's a
- 4:45Speaker 1: lot of work involved with that. Look, I'm tired right now,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and it's over here trying to beat the face right
- 4:54Speaker 1: now because I'm tired. Because when you when you're multiple
- 4:57Speaker 1: streams of income, it's really multiple three of the lane
- 5:01Speaker 1: that you're good in, right See, you don't do multiple strengths.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And I'm a if Sheila tried to be a computer
- 5:06Speaker 1: science person and then tried to get in some kind
- 5:09Speaker 1: of technical thing and then did the creative thing, it
- 5:12Speaker 1: may not work for me. But when you look at
- 5:14Speaker 1: people who are great and multiple strings of revenue because
- 5:17Speaker 1: they've mastered their lane. That's that's you know lane, you
- 5:22Speaker 1: know it's it's And also they understand the multitasking and
- 5:26Speaker 1: that's really the key. And I hear that a lot,
- 5:28Speaker 1: you know, I can only focus on one thing. And
- 5:31Speaker 1: when I hear that, I go, really, that's always you're
- 5:34Speaker 1: already telling yourself that you don't want to accomplish anything
- 5:36Speaker 1: other than what you're doing. And when I'm on the
- 5:39Speaker 1: phone right now, people just tuned in up. My guess
- 5:41Speaker 1: is the CEO or be your own brand? Sheila Coach?
- 5:44Speaker 1: She what is the one of the major mistakes that
- 5:46Speaker 1: people make when when in the marketing in the branding
- 5:50Speaker 1: arena because they don't understand the difference between marketing and branding. Okay, okay,
- 5:54Speaker 1: just let that down. There is a difference between marketing
- 5:58Speaker 1: and branding. That's what you're saying exactly. Marketing is yelling
- 6:02Speaker 1: about who I am. I'm telling me. That's that's a
- 6:05Speaker 1: billboard that's putting something out there here, I am here,
- 6:09Speaker 1: I am seeing me. Branding is engagement influencing the way
- 6:14Speaker 1: that you think, understanding the perception that you want people
- 6:20Speaker 1: to get when they engage with you. See there's a
- 6:23Speaker 1: perception that I want Rashaan and the listeners to get
- 6:27Speaker 1: anytime they hear me speak. I'm clear about that. Now.
- 6:31Speaker 1: When I market, all I'm saying is here I am.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Did you see my store? Did you see my business?
- 6:37Speaker 1: You would you come in and buy something from me?
- 6:40Speaker 1: That's not engaging, right, that's just telling. Right. So so
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're saying, I'm just trying to break it down, and
- 6:48Speaker 1: like I said, I'm pushing you too far, too quick
- 6:50Speaker 1: on this thought process. So how would that work? If
- 6:53Speaker 1: you Chick fil A? They market their sandwich, so they
- 6:58Speaker 1: brand service. Is that's what they in the quality of
- 7:00Speaker 1: their food, That's that's the difference. Well, the engagement is
- 7:04Speaker 1: who they are and what they stand for and getting
- 7:07Speaker 1: you to understand the kind of sandwich they make. You know,
- 7:11Speaker 1: the kind of sauce that's on that sand how we
- 7:14Speaker 1: deliver that, see you? That's engagement. Now, whenever they post
- 7:19Speaker 1: a poster or post a billboards, that's marketing. Yeah, that
- 7:24Speaker 1: cow on TV pointing to the chickens. Did you see
- 7:29Speaker 1: the cow? Remember that time? Remember that when you see
- 7:32Speaker 1: that cow? Think about you're engaging me? Is because you're
- 7:37Speaker 1: sharing something with me about your uniqueness and who you
- 7:41Speaker 1: are and why I want that experience because I read
- 7:44Speaker 1: because I wanted to break that down because a lot
- 7:46Speaker 1: of people, because you know, you throw out these words marketing,
- 7:49Speaker 1: you throw out these words branding, but really the work
- 7:52Speaker 1: is in the branding because you can go, yeah, I
- 7:54Speaker 1: can stand on the corner and then you see this.
- 7:56Speaker 1: A lot people have these little rotating signs when they
- 7:58Speaker 1: rotate them and and you see the sign. So that's
- 8:01Speaker 1: the marketing part. The branding part is when that customer
- 8:04Speaker 1: who sees that sign goes in there to get the
- 8:08Speaker 1: service that you're promoting, okay, exactly, And it's and it's
- 8:12Speaker 1: that perception. I'm big on perception because people don't understand
- 8:16Speaker 1: the power of perception. If I give you something right now,
- 8:19Speaker 1: let's let's do this. If and you don't even have
- 8:21Speaker 1: to see this, this is just us on the radio.
- 8:24Speaker 1: So if I say a Corvette, something comes to mind
- 8:28Speaker 1: car fast car. I say yes. If I said, okay,
- 8:31Speaker 1: so you took it to fast car, right. So if
- 8:32Speaker 1: I say a red Corvette, it even becomes clearer. If
- 8:38Speaker 1: I say a red Corvette with chrome rim, you see
- 8:43Speaker 1: a whole different thing because the perception is starting to
- 8:47Speaker 1: come clearer and clearer and clear, because that's the engagement
- 8:50Speaker 1: you have with Corvette. That is fast, that is cool,
- 8:54Speaker 1: that it's moving. You just think, oh, I'm barely trying
- 8:57Speaker 1: to get there. I'm trying to take my kids to school.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I need to get to work in that car, because
- 9:03Speaker 1: that's a that's more of a Volvo right. Yes, it's
- 9:07Speaker 1: the experience that that car is wanting you to have.
- 9:10Speaker 1: That's why I tell people there's thousands of car company,
- 9:13Speaker 1: but every time you see one, they don't talk about
- 9:15Speaker 1: what they have in common. They talk about what makes
- 9:17Speaker 1: them different. That is so true, and that is the
- 9:19Speaker 1: marketing and branding difference. So let me ask you this.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Let me just ask you to because we're going to
- 9:24Speaker 1: break in a minute. I want you to answer this
- 9:25Speaker 1: for we go to break. What what benefits does Sheila
- 9:31Speaker 1: Coach bring to a business or to an individual case
- 9:34Speaker 1: We're going next week we gonna talk about your webinars?
- 9:36Speaker 1: What is that? What's the benefits? It's uh, if it's
- 9:40Speaker 1: a company, I do a lot of branding of employees
- 9:43Speaker 1: and the benefit of that is ultimately companies wanting to
- 9:46Speaker 1: increase their revenues. Because when I when my employees feel
- 9:49Speaker 1: better and do better, they produce better. They don't bring
- 9:53Speaker 1: me in because they like me. They're looking for ways
- 9:56Speaker 1: to uh create better teams, create better leaders, have different
- 10:00Speaker 1: kinds of teams. Because all teams can be made of
- 10:03Speaker 1: a quarterback, then there will be nobody to throw to.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So you gotta understand your uniqueness and what you bring
- 10:08Speaker 1: to that team. So that's why companies bring me in
- 10:10Speaker 1: because at the end of the day, when their employees
- 10:12Speaker 1: feel better about themselves and are engaged and who they are,
- 10:16Speaker 1: companies make more money. Individuals bring me in. And I've
- 10:21Speaker 1: worked with the first Lady of Bermuda, numerous artists. Just
- 10:25Speaker 1: did a piece with the Atlanta Hawks and Monica. What
- 10:28Speaker 1: we're doing with that particular platform is that what do
- 10:31Speaker 1: you bring to the table that's different than the person
- 10:34Speaker 1: that was there before you, Because again, you're not only one.
- 10:38Speaker 1: But when you step into that arena, what do you
- 10:40Speaker 1: want people to know about you? And how do you
- 10:42Speaker 1: want to make them feel so that when they leave there,
- 10:46Speaker 1: they're talking about you in a way that you wanted
- 10:48Speaker 1: them to talk about you. That's the engagement. So it
- 10:51Speaker 1: depends on if it's an individual, if it's a company.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I have a different company right now that I'm working with,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and I do all of their brand strategy for their
- 10:58Speaker 1: events because while they spend a lot of money, people
- 11:02Speaker 1: don't necessarily know them because they're marketing, not in not branding,
- 11:07Speaker 1: because they don't create the engagement. What I'm doing for them,
- 11:10Speaker 1: it is helping them strategize why are we doing this event,
- 11:14Speaker 1: what's the return on the investment on this event, and
- 11:16Speaker 1: what do you want people to feel when they come
- 11:19Speaker 1: to this event. Okay, we listen to she to coach
- 11:24Speaker 1: the CEO of Be Your Brand B y O B.
- 11:27Speaker 1: We'll be back with more money making conversations. Don't go nowhere.
- 11:30Speaker 1: We're gonna find out about her webinars and also more
- 11:33Speaker 1: information on how you can be successful in the world
- 11:36Speaker 1: of marketing and branding. She's a special. It's a third
- 11:39Speaker 1: time on the show, so you know I'm bringing it
- 11:41Speaker 1: back and having full or five times on the show.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Be right back with more money making conversations. Hih Ra,
- 11:46Speaker 1: Sean McDonald, Rashawn McDonald back with more money making conversations.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Welcome to the show. And show it's created to get
- 11:54Speaker 1: provide you with information so you can win in your
- 11:57Speaker 1: personal life and in your business life. That's what money
- 12:00Speaker 1: making conversations on the mine on the show today right
- 12:03Speaker 1: now on Hole, I'm about to bring it back up.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Is the CEO of Be your Own Brand. That's be
- 12:09Speaker 1: why I'll be She look oas she like, welcome back
- 12:12Speaker 1: to the show. Thank you so much. I was laughing
- 12:15Speaker 1: to myself because you can tell I'm passionate about branding
- 12:18Speaker 1: and marketing. I was like, she just slow down, no, no,
- 12:21Speaker 1: because see a lot of people it's not so much you.
- 12:24Speaker 1: You know, you don't need to slow down people. It's
- 12:26Speaker 1: energy to get you there. You know. Sometimes you know,
- 12:30Speaker 1: I you know, I've changed my tone on the show.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I used to be moving to one hundred miles an
- 12:34Speaker 1: hour because I was afraid that people wouldn't get what
- 12:37Speaker 1: I was trying to say. I wouldn't understand my commitment
- 12:40Speaker 1: and a lot of people confused. And I'm just letting
- 12:43Speaker 1: you know, what you're saying is fantastic. Just trust yourself.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And That's what I'm doing with myself. I'm starting to
- 12:48Speaker 1: trust myself more on the radio and when I talk
- 12:51Speaker 1: to people, because you know, you want people react to
- 12:54Speaker 1: you when you speak, and then some people just stat
- 12:57Speaker 1: you and then you're like, you know, okay, did you
- 13:00Speaker 1: you what I just say? You know, if you go
- 13:02Speaker 1: around the corner, there's opportunity, and a lot of people
- 13:04Speaker 1: just will slowly walk around the corner because they don't
- 13:06Speaker 1: question you. And so when I hear that passion in
- 13:09Speaker 1: your voice, it's it's just you're just letting everybody know
- 13:13Speaker 1: there's opportunity over them their heels. Yes it is, Yes
- 13:17Speaker 1: it is, and that you can do anything when you
- 13:19Speaker 1: understand how powerful you are what you bring to the table.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you know my journey. I was
- 13:25Speaker 1: an executive in the music business for years, you know that,
- 13:29Speaker 1: to the level of CMO, and I chose to quit.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Now I will say, there's the days I'm like, what
- 13:35Speaker 1: did you do? When you know that I didn't brand
- 13:38Speaker 1: myself and didn't put my blindness, so to speak, on
- 13:41Speaker 1: being an industry executive. Then I realized I can do
- 13:45Speaker 1: this for myself, I can do this with others. If
- 13:48Speaker 1: I was able to brand celebrities, I can definitely brand individuals.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I can go into corporations because who I am is
- 13:57Speaker 1: who I am. It wasn't based on what I was doing. Now,
- 14:01Speaker 1: with that being said, these webinars that you do, which
- 14:04Speaker 1: allows people to communicate with you, please explain why you
- 14:09Speaker 1: started them, how one can be involved with them, and
- 14:14Speaker 1: it's your floor because the first break was kind of
- 14:16Speaker 1: like my break you know I have. It was I asked,
- 14:20Speaker 1: as you not one question that you sent me. It's
- 14:24Speaker 1: all about Rashan, because you know, you know, I know
- 14:27Speaker 1: that you know what we can see. I have a
- 14:29Speaker 1: different insight on your on what people want to say
- 14:31Speaker 1: and here, and you have a talent that sometimes I
- 14:34Speaker 1: want to dig a little deeper. Now this break is
- 14:36Speaker 1: still equally important because you know it's about why is
- 14:40Speaker 1: personal branding important which leads to your webinars? Correct, yes, yes,
- 14:45Speaker 1: and I'm just starting the webinars for individuals. I do
- 14:48Speaker 1: webinars for corporate America because a lot of the time
- 14:50Speaker 1: they have the learning. A lot of corporations have um
- 14:55Speaker 1: universities and they allow their employees to be able to
- 14:59Speaker 1: do learning and train on their own. But my thought was,
- 15:01Speaker 1: how does the average person, When I say average, don't
- 15:04Speaker 1: take that as less then, but the regular person, entrepreneur,
- 15:08Speaker 1: the person who's trying to pick college classes, how do
- 15:11Speaker 1: they understand their uniqueness? How does an entrepreneur who's launching
- 15:15Speaker 1: a business. But there's twenty businesses like there's find what
- 15:19Speaker 1: makes them unique. So that's how I started during the
- 15:22Speaker 1: individual webinars, and so we are launching one that's the
- 15:25Speaker 1: generic one. When I said meaning that you can no
- 15:28Speaker 1: matter if you're an entrepreneur or a college student, a
- 15:32Speaker 1: customer service rev work at a company, you will walk
- 15:35Speaker 1: away with an understanding of your uniqueness and the power
- 15:38Speaker 1: it takes to be a brand. And that's called Everybody's
- 15:41Speaker 1: a brand. And for Ard Sean McDonald, because your audience
- 15:45Speaker 1: and you have been so good to me and this
- 15:47Speaker 1: is my third time, then we are going to do it.
- 15:49Speaker 1: If you sign up today or before, then you get
- 15:52Speaker 1: it at a discount. Uh So, if you go to
- 15:55Speaker 1: the webinar now and my website right now which is
- 15:58Speaker 1: b y O B unlimited dot com, the y O
- 16:01Speaker 1: B unlimited dot com, you'll see a button up there
- 16:05Speaker 1: for our webinar. But the webinar is really to get
- 16:08Speaker 1: you to understand how to speak volume without saying a word.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Now here's here's there's the important that I need a
- 16:14Speaker 1: banner from you because now Money Making Conversation has his
- 16:18Speaker 1: own Facebook page. We have twenty six thousand followers on
- 16:21Speaker 1: our Facebook page we have and we have a Twitter account.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So please send me your banner and I will post
- 16:27Speaker 1: it today. Dale Henderson, he's the exact on the hands
- 16:31Speaker 1: of social media on the Money Making Conversation page, and
- 16:34Speaker 1: so please send us today because I know that seeing
- 16:37Speaker 1: it here is only one spot to get the word out.
- 16:39Speaker 1: You have to have several locations where you need to
- 16:42Speaker 1: communicate the value of what you're trying to bring to
- 16:44Speaker 1: the table. And that's all. I'm just telling people that
- 16:47Speaker 1: this platform was created for you. If platform was created
- 16:51Speaker 1: to be able to give you an opportunity to market
- 16:54Speaker 1: and to brand your vision. So she has an idea
- 16:57Speaker 1: that she's created. I'm just letting you know is that
- 16:59Speaker 1: this is of people. The major mistake that people make.
- 17:02Speaker 1: There are certain platforms that you can go to because
- 17:04Speaker 1: they have millions of people streaming and all these things.
- 17:08Speaker 1: That is not this platform right now. I want to
- 17:10Speaker 1: get to that platform now. So that means that when
- 17:13Speaker 1: she says in here, I gotta put it elsewhere several
- 17:16Speaker 1: different locations so I can start catching eyeballs to generate
- 17:20Speaker 1: the traffic that she wants. She's promoting it on my show,
- 17:23Speaker 1: but she's also prominent promoting other avenues. And that's why
- 17:27Speaker 1: it's important that I say that to anybody, because see
- 17:29Speaker 1: what happens is people everybody used the word they want
- 17:32Speaker 1: a viral video. You know, that's the big that's the
- 17:34Speaker 1: big craze. Now, that's why you see people jumping into
- 17:37Speaker 1: baseball games and running around and the field because they
- 17:39Speaker 1: want that video and they're gonna take that video and
- 17:42Speaker 1: posting on their personal social media so they can go viral.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Or you see people's be stopping traffic and playing ping
- 17:48Speaker 1: pong right at the red light. They're trying to create
- 17:51Speaker 1: viral videos. I don't know what that means because of
- 17:54Speaker 1: the fact that the traction you're trying to create other
- 17:57Speaker 1: than you just being stupid for that moment. What we're
- 17:59Speaker 1: trying to do here is a professional platform when you
- 18:02Speaker 1: can gain information and exposure. And that's all she's trying
- 18:05Speaker 1: to do with these webinars that are one on one
- 18:07Speaker 1: in the sense that they're personal and not corporate. Is
- 18:10Speaker 1: that correct? Exactly, the one on one webinar, and so
- 18:13Speaker 1: that you can get personalized information and walk away. My
- 18:17Speaker 1: thing is I don't want to hear something and still
- 18:19Speaker 1: don't know what to do after I heard it. I
- 18:21Speaker 1: promise you, when you hear this, you will have immediately
- 18:24Speaker 1: learn something to impact your life. Right then you're gonna
- 18:28Speaker 1: you're gonna be able to go, Okay, I get it now.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Right after that call, I can do X, Y and
- 18:34Speaker 1: Z in my business and my career and my personal life.
- 18:37Speaker 1: That's going to change my uniqueness and help me understand
- 18:39Speaker 1: my competitive and the other thing that I like to
- 18:42Speaker 1: say about conversations like this is that I don't understand
- 18:45Speaker 1: why people don't jump on the phone because you're getting
- 18:48Speaker 1: free information. Like if somebody asked me something right now,
- 18:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna share that with them. If they asked with you,
- 18:53Speaker 1: you're gonna share it with You can't pay me to
- 18:57Speaker 1: do this, and I can't do this are free anywhere else.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So if you're listening, I don't understand why you're not
- 19:03Speaker 1: asking questions. You know, I do know that it takes
- 19:06Speaker 1: a minute for you to grasp your thoughts. But if
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'm an entrepreneur, if I'm somebody trying to find out
- 19:11Speaker 1: what's my competitive edge, if I'm a college student and
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm not sure exactly what lane I should go in
- 19:16Speaker 1: on how to project myself. I would be on the
- 19:18Speaker 1: phone at money making conversations. Well thank you for that,
- 19:22Speaker 1: that marketing because when they come over to me, guess what,
- 19:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna start branding my behind off because that's what
- 19:27Speaker 1: this is all about. And I really you know the
- 19:29Speaker 1: thing about it when you try to create change, because
- 19:31Speaker 1: it was really interesting, you know, like I said, you know,
- 19:35Speaker 1: I've had many shades of my life. You know, my
- 19:37Speaker 1: degree is in mathematics at work for I BM or left.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I been to be a stand up comic. Then I
- 19:42Speaker 1: became a touring comedian, very successful to Death Comedy Jam,
- 19:46Speaker 1: Open To Comedy Club, started writing television, writing television shows.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Eventually managed Steve Harvey and that took me to a
- 19:53Speaker 1: whole different stratesphere. And like when you are a CMO,
- 19:57Speaker 1: when I made the decision and to start building my brand,
- 20:01Speaker 1: that's a difficult transition because you have to figure out
- 20:05Speaker 1: who you are. That's really the key element. Because I
- 20:09Speaker 1: spent sixteen years managing Steve and building his brand to
- 20:12Speaker 1: a tremendous global perspective. But along the way, who is
- 20:17Speaker 1: Rashan McDonald And so this whole year I spent time
- 20:22Speaker 1: trying to figure out who ras Sean McDonald's so I
- 20:24Speaker 1: can convey the message and so I can be consistent.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And that's what this show is all about. That's why
- 20:29Speaker 1: I bring you on the show, because you truly understand
- 20:33Speaker 1: who you are. Rashan McDonald have to said, is still
- 20:37Speaker 1: seeking that journey, and that journey is the powerful journey.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Because along the way, I'm gonna give you information, I'm
- 20:43Speaker 1: gonna give you opportunity to speak to people that you
- 20:45Speaker 1: will normally speak to for free, like you're speaking to
- 20:47Speaker 1: her right now for free. That's all she's saying. If
- 20:50Speaker 1: you if you see her in a room, she's been
- 20:53Speaker 1: paid to do that. And that's why, and that's the
- 20:57Speaker 1: blessing of this opportunity. When I give out the number
- 21:00Speaker 1: to call money making conversations. I remember this guy called
- 21:03Speaker 1: one time. It was so funny and he said, he said,
- 21:06Speaker 1: are you for real? I said, he said, are you
- 21:09Speaker 1: for real? I said, what do you mean? He said,
- 21:11Speaker 1: I can't believe you on the radio talking like this.
- 21:15Speaker 1: He said, you like the Black Moses because you're leading
- 21:19Speaker 1: us in the direction nobody has ever led us before.
- 21:22Speaker 1: And that's basically what you're saying, right now, Rashan McDonald
- 21:25Speaker 1: is doing a unique opportunity. And if you don't take
- 21:28Speaker 1: advantage of the unique opportunity, somebody else gonna charge you.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And I can assure you they will not get the
- 21:34Speaker 1: information that I'm giving to your every money on money
- 21:37Speaker 1: making conversations. It will not happen. And it's it's so
- 21:40Speaker 1: funny that you would have been given that titlest or
- 21:43Speaker 1: that banner of Moses when I was in the music
- 21:45Speaker 1: But it's a couple of the people who used to
- 21:47Speaker 1: work with me started calling me Mama Moses, and I really,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you know, like every time we turn around, you're trying
- 21:53Speaker 1: to take the people over to the other side. You're
- 21:55Speaker 1: trying to help the artists get over here. You're trying
- 21:57Speaker 1: to help your staff get more money. And I say
- 22:00Speaker 1: that to say because when that's really who you are,
- 22:03Speaker 1: even though you might fight that, sometimes it's who you are.
- 22:06Speaker 1: You if you like helping people. And I and like
- 22:09Speaker 1: you when you were doing the thing with Steve, it
- 22:12Speaker 1: was helping somebody you feel good and helping somebody get
- 22:16Speaker 1: to the platform. When I was an industry all I
- 22:18Speaker 1: look at it as I'm helping an artist attain their dreams.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm helping some young person who works on my team
- 22:23Speaker 1: attain what they want to do. So when I do this,
- 22:26Speaker 1: it's really just an extension of who I am. That's
- 22:29Speaker 1: what I'm saying. When you understand who you are and
- 22:31Speaker 1: why you do it. Some days I don't even like it.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Some it's be mad. I'm like, why do I even
- 22:35Speaker 1: want to help somebody? Why? It's because it's who I
- 22:38Speaker 1: am to think, think we get out of here down.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I know that website one more time, Yes, sir, www
