- 1:55Speaker 5: Come come on, you'll think that, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 5: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:06Speaker 5: dig me now one and only uh huh. Steve Harby
- 2:09Speaker 5: Man got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 2: M here I do.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Man. God been so good to me over the years,
- 2:18Speaker 5: in spite of all the mistakes I've made, in spite
- 2:22Speaker 5: of all the dirt I've done to myself. I'm talking
- 2:27Speaker 5: about went in knowing I was wrong. His grace and
- 2:31Speaker 5: mercy has forgiven me for all of my sins. God
- 2:37Speaker 5: can forgive you of all of your sins. Everything you've done,
- 2:42Speaker 5: God can forgive you. He can wipe your slate clean. Now,
- 2:47Speaker 5: might you might have some you know, things you got
- 2:49Speaker 5: to deal with because of some of your actions. Understand that,
- 2:53Speaker 5: But you can wipe your slates. You can wipe your
- 2:56Speaker 5: slate clean with God and start again. You can repent.
- 3:00Speaker 5: God has mercy and grace. You could be forgiven by God.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Now people, AD's another story. Some people may never forgive
- 3:07Speaker 5: you for you've heard them, or or maybe they accusing
- 3:10Speaker 5: you of doing something else. But you know they may
- 3:13Speaker 5: never forgive you. But God, God is in the redemption
- 3:17Speaker 5: business man. God will forgive you for every sin you've
- 3:21Speaker 5: ever committed. But you gotta want forgiveness now and then
- 3:25Speaker 5: you got to come correct because what you can't do
- 3:27Speaker 5: is you can't shoot him the crap. Now, you can
- 3:30Speaker 5: say that conversation with him. You know, whatever you told
- 3:34Speaker 5: your lawyer, whatever you told the victims, whatever you told,
- 3:39Speaker 5: whatever the story is you got going, if it ain't
- 3:43Speaker 5: the truth, you can say that with God, because please know,
- 3:46Speaker 5: he know, and he know your heart. He know if
- 3:49Speaker 5: you're trying to manipulate somebody just for the system, if
- 3:52Speaker 5: you're trying to say this just so you can get out,
- 3:55Speaker 5: He know all of that. So if you're planning on
- 3:57Speaker 5: shucking him and driving him, save your earth before you
- 4:00Speaker 5: wind up digging yourself in a deeper hole. Just let
- 4:04Speaker 5: me give you that piece of advice. Because he ain't
- 4:06Speaker 5: nothing to play with. He's too great to be played with.
- 4:10Speaker 5: And so with that in mind, I want to share
- 4:12Speaker 5: some positive stuff with you this morning.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Man.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I want to say this. I want to remind you
- 4:17Speaker 2: not to let your circumstance and your situations dictate your
- 4:22Speaker 2: future or your results. I'm gonna say this again. This
- 4:27Speaker 2: is important information. Man.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Don't let your circumstance and situations dictate your future or
- 4:35Speaker 5: your results. Do you know that in order to get
- 4:40Speaker 5: a different future or some different results, you control that
- 4:44Speaker 5: entire situation.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It is you. It is your thoughts that control the
- 4:49Speaker 2: entire situation.
- 4:51Speaker 5: It is how you look at the situation that will
- 4:54Speaker 5: determine how the situation is for you. See, the same
- 4:58Speaker 5: situation can be told different for two different people, because
- 5:02Speaker 5: you can say you look at the examples of history, just.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Just look look in your neighborhood. How can There was.
- 5:08Speaker 5: A book that a guy wrote one time who had
- 5:10Speaker 5: the name. He had a name, and he did some
- 5:13Speaker 5: research and he found a god that grew up at
- 5:15Speaker 5: the same age in the same neighborhood as him, with
- 5:19Speaker 5: the exact same name. He went on to become a
- 5:23Speaker 5: corporate ceo. The other man was an inmate, and they
- 5:30Speaker 5: had the same name. Grew up in the same neighborhood.
- 5:34Speaker 5: They were both brothers, you know not, I'm just saying
- 5:38Speaker 5: brothers men. And they grew and they went two different
- 5:41Speaker 5: Because how can two different two people the same situation
- 5:46Speaker 5: and the results turn out so different. It is because
- 5:48Speaker 5: of the thought process of one was completely different from
- 5:51Speaker 5: the thought process of the other.
- 5:53Speaker 2: You control it.
- 5:54Speaker 5: You don't have to let your circumstances and your situations
- 5:58Speaker 5: dictate your future or your results. Here's the way it works.
- 6:03Speaker 5: This is so you can understand this. Your mind is
- 6:07Speaker 5: the controlling factor of your thoughts. Your thoughts are the
- 6:12Speaker 5: controlling factor of your outcome. The Bible says a man
- 6:17Speaker 5: is as he thinketh. Please don't short play this scripture here,
- 6:21Speaker 5: because this one is the real deal. This is the
- 6:25Speaker 5: basis of every self improvement book you'll ever read. It's
- 6:30Speaker 5: already written in the Bible. The Bible has all the
- 6:33Speaker 5: information you need. But in case you need a little
- 6:35Speaker 5: bit of clarity in some simple modern day language, then
- 6:38Speaker 5: they have self improvement books.
- 6:40Speaker 2: They are all based on Biblical scripture. A man is
- 6:44Speaker 2: as he thinketh.
- 6:45Speaker 5: That's why Norman Vincent Peelee wrote the book The Power
- 6:48Speaker 5: of Positive Thinking. That's why a book came out called
- 6:52Speaker 5: The Magic of Thinking Big. That's why a book came
- 6:55Speaker 5: out called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon heell all
- 6:59Speaker 5: of you. All these titles that I've read that have
- 7:02Speaker 5: mattered in my life the most, These three major books
- 7:04Speaker 5: that I've read, they all say one thing. Think, thinking thoughts,
- 7:09Speaker 5: because that's what controls the outcome. Your brain works one
- 7:15Speaker 5: of two ways. It works positive or negative. It works good,
- 7:24Speaker 5: which is under the column of positive, or to work evil,
- 7:27Speaker 5: which is under the column of negative. It will have faith,
- 7:32Speaker 5: which is under the column of positive, or you will
- 7:35Speaker 5: operate in fear, which is in the column of negative.
- 7:39Speaker 2: That is the only way your mind works.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Your mind is a factory that's comprised of workers. Those
- 7:47Speaker 5: workers are controlled by two foremans, forming positive and forming negative.
- 7:53Speaker 5: But guess what the CEO of the company, the headman,
- 7:58Speaker 5: the boss is you. You come to work in the
- 8:01Speaker 5: morning and you say, man, today is a great day.
- 8:06Speaker 5: I'm going to take steps towards brightening my future. I'm
- 8:10Speaker 5: going to take another step into making that dream come
- 8:13Speaker 5: true that I've been thinking about. I'm gonna take another
- 8:16Speaker 5: step forward in the development and the changing of my life.
- 8:19Speaker 5: In a positive, good direction. If you come to work
- 8:23Speaker 5: and say that every day as the CEO the boss,
- 8:27Speaker 5: the foremans can only obey you, so that what you
- 8:30Speaker 5: just said was a series of positive statements, then forming
- 8:34Speaker 5: positive steps to the forefront. He said, I got your
- 8:37Speaker 5: boss right away. He turns around, He blows the whistle
- 8:41Speaker 5: sh He alerts all the workers in the factory. Today
- 8:44Speaker 5: is a good day. Today we will take steps towards
- 8:47Speaker 5: our future. Today we are putting ourselves on track to
- 8:51Speaker 5: get a little bit closer to making our dreams come true.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Today we will be assembling all the things we need
- 8:58Speaker 5: to make our dreams come true.
- 8:59Speaker 2: In our life, life better in the right direction. Everybody break.
- 9:03Speaker 5: The workers in the factory turn around and manufacture thoughts
- 9:08Speaker 5: to justify the orders given by the boss, which is you.
- 9:14Speaker 5: You are the CEO of your corporation. If you don't
- 9:17Speaker 5: own nothing else, you own everything that's going on between
- 9:21Speaker 5: your two ears. You are the CEO of that corporation.
- 9:25Speaker 5: If that corporation is a good one, it's because you
- 9:28Speaker 5: set it up that way. If your corporation is a
- 9:30Speaker 5: bad one, it's because you set it up that day.
- 9:33Speaker 5: If you try and if you pushing towards your dreams,
- 9:36Speaker 5: and you see the possibility of things happening in your
- 9:39Speaker 5: life is because you, as the CEO, set it up
- 9:41Speaker 5: that way. If you ain't got nothing popping, if you
- 9:44Speaker 5: just want to be a criminal taking stuff from people,
- 9:46Speaker 5: throwing your life out the window, you're gonna be an inmate.
- 9:49Speaker 5: You're gonna be sitting there there, and you're gonna be
- 9:50Speaker 5: mad at everybody. You't got nobody be mad at. But
- 9:53Speaker 5: you you understand what I'm telling you this morning?
- 9:56Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, Another blessing, another let's just call it
- 10:10Speaker 5: what it is. Another miracle has occurred. Another miracle has occurred.
- 10:16Speaker 5: You are partaking in a miracle. Well, see what miracle
- 10:21Speaker 5: you talking about? The miraculousness of a new day, the
- 10:27Speaker 5: simple amazement that God has done it again and again
- 10:32Speaker 5: and again so often that you consider it common.
- 10:36Speaker 2: It's nothing but a miracle. Who else do you know?
- 10:40Speaker 5: Let me let me just clear it. Who do you
- 10:43Speaker 5: know make the sun come up? Give me a name,
- 10:47Speaker 5: what organization group? Give me what committee gets the sun
- 10:53Speaker 5: up every day?
- 10:55Speaker 7: Being?
- 10:56Speaker 5: Let me tell you who it is, God Lord, God
- 11:00Speaker 5: Almighty the only one that can do it. That is miraculous.
- 11:07Speaker 5: You's a bad man, boy if you can do that
- 11:11Speaker 5: every day. So let's give thanks, Anna and credit where
- 11:14Speaker 5: it belonged. Y'all, this ain't about you. Steve Hart, Marty Show,

- 11:52Speaker 9: mean to them on it wasn't I was up there crying.
- 11:55Speaker 8: I'm older than them.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm crying.
- 11:59Speaker 2: The kids is man.
- 12:00Speaker 8: When that boy said I'm gonna be somebody's husband one
- 12:03Speaker 8: day and he.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Thirteen, Wow, yeah, wow, Yeah.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Is that what your teaching?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:10Speaker 2: We go into that two things.
- 12:13Speaker 5: How to be a man, a real man, the principles
- 12:16Speaker 5: of manhood, and number two, how to make your dreams
- 12:20Speaker 5: come true.
- 12:21Speaker 2: That's that's what the whole program is about.
- 12:23Speaker 5: If you can get a young boy and a girl
- 12:26Speaker 5: locked in on them two things, you've accomplished something. Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 5: because you're gonna be somebody's husband one day. So what
- 12:34Speaker 5: why don't you start preparing yourself for the day when

- 12:52Speaker 5: And here the thing about the crown, Man, you don't
- 12:54Speaker 5: get taken off. You get to set it down on
- 12:57Speaker 5: the nice stand.
- 12:58Speaker 2: You don't.
- 12:58Speaker 5: That's that's why you That's why you got to toss

- 13:04Speaker 5: it off. You got to sleep in that crown sometime,

- 28:22Speaker 10: that same night. It scared me, so I stopped talking
- 28:26Speaker 10: to her. Why are some women willing to degrade themselves

- 29:19Speaker 1: Is there one thing that you look for ever.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Moment I've ever dated or walked up to? That's what
- 29:25Speaker 2: I was thinking.
- 29:29Speaker 1: If not, I'll just make the most of it.
- 29:33Speaker 2: If she ain't gonna look good laying now?
- 29:38Speaker 10: But is there one thing that you you know, one
- 29:41Speaker 10: thing that makes you tell be able to tell if
- 29:45Speaker 10: somebody is a good lover?
- 29:47Speaker 1: Because how do you know by just looking at them?
- 29:50Speaker 2: I can't. I can't let that out.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Or your formula.
- 29:58Speaker 2: You can looking at me a tale? I know you can.

- 30:11Speaker 2: You can't look at me too, Tommy. I'll tell you
- 30:16Speaker 2: one thing.

- 30:50Speaker 10: on his private parts. According to Tamz, the accuser cleaned

- 31:51Speaker 1: We hope it's false, right, absolutely?
- 31:54Speaker 2: What happened to them people right there?
- 31:56Speaker 5: See that's what I want to know, because see, when
- 31:58Speaker 5: you go at a person and I'm not claiming guilt
- 32:02Speaker 5: or innocence here, y'all, so don't don't understand that. But
- 32:05Speaker 5: if you go after person to shake him down for
- 32:07Speaker 5: some money and the shakedown don't work, something need to

- 38:21Speaker 10: stumped them. The victims were taken to the hospital in

- 56:49Speaker 10: Thank you, nephew. Subject, my success is intimidating. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:55Speaker 10: I'm thirty seven and never been married. I was in
- 56:58Speaker 10: a four year relationship and when I got promoted, my
- 57:01Speaker 10: boyfriend left the relationship. We met on an online dating
- 57:05Speaker 10: site for professionals, and we were compatible on so many levels.
- 57:10Speaker 10: He is an administrator at his job and I was
- 57:12Speaker 10: a team leader. When we started dating, I wanted love
- 57:15Speaker 10: and he provided that. But he also added a lot
- 57:18Speaker 10: of competition to our relationship. When I get dressed in
- 57:22Speaker 10: the morning to head out to work, he'd say I
- 57:24Speaker 10: looked powerful instead of beautiful, and he would tell me
- 57:27Speaker 10: to boss up if I complained about stress at work.
- 57:30Speaker 10: He treated me like he was my mentor and I
- 57:33Speaker 10: was beneath him professionally, but I actually made more money
- 57:37Speaker 10: than him. Then I got a promotion and a company car,
- 57:41Speaker 10: and he overheard me telling my mom what I'd be
- 57:44Speaker 10: making annually. He insinuated that I was too close to
- 57:47Speaker 10: my boss and that's why I got a promotion. We
- 57:51Speaker 10: argued for days, and then he moved out. Since we
- 57:54Speaker 10: broke up, I've had a few dates, but I haven't
- 57:57Speaker 10: found a man that matches me intellectually or financially. One
- 58:01Speaker 10: guy told me that my success is very intimidating. I
- 58:05Speaker 10: wish men could see my sweet and nurturing side, but
- 58:08Speaker 10: as soon as I tell them what I do for
- 58:11Speaker 10: a living, they decide that I don't have time for
- 58:14Speaker 10: a relationship. I have thought about telling guys that I
- 58:17Speaker 10: have an entry level job, just to see if they
- 58:20Speaker 10: would ask me out again. There are so many sides
- 58:23Speaker 10: of me, and I would hate to have to diminish
- 58:26Speaker 10: all that I am to satisfy a man. My ex
- 58:29Speaker 10: married and art teacher go figure. So are women expected
- 58:34Speaker 10: to bet our eyelashes and act needy to get a husband.
- 58:39Speaker 10: That's true for insecure, controlling men. If you want that
- 58:43Speaker 10: for your husband, they do try to compete with you
- 58:47Speaker 10: and knock you down a few pegs. But you shouldn't
- 58:50Speaker 10: have to dim your light or make yourself smaller.
- 58:52Speaker 1: For any man.
- 58:53Speaker 10: A real man would want you to be all that
- 58:55Speaker 10: you can be and would support you every step of
- 58:58Speaker 10: the way.
- 58:59Speaker 1: He would celebrate.
- 59:00Speaker 10: Relationships are supposed to be partnerships that lead to marriage
- 59:05Speaker 10: or whatever, and unfortunately a lot of women do dumb
- 59:08Speaker 10: themselves down to get a man. My advice to you
- 59:11Speaker 10: is simply to be yourself. Don't change who you are,
- 59:15Speaker 10: shine brightly, wait for the right man to come along
- 59:17Speaker 10: and to accept you for who you are a strong,
- 59:21Speaker 10: confident woman.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I mean, the people at your job see it. Why
- 59:24Speaker 1: can't he? Why can't you your ex see it? Steve?
- 59:27Speaker 2: Real men are not intimidated by women, period.
- 59:32Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Real men are not intimidated by women. Period.
- 59:38Speaker 5: Now, if you're dating an underdeveloped man, that was your pick,
- 59:44Speaker 5: you picked him.
- 59:45Speaker 1: So listen.
- 59:47Speaker 2: I understand the narrative that women have created.
- 59:50Speaker 5: And this is more or less about an open discussion
- 59:53Speaker 5: between me and the ladies on the show, because this
- 59:56Speaker 5: letter is how many times have we heard this that
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: women live under the guys, or the illusion or delusion
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: that men are intimidated by your success.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Now I offer this to you.
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: Sometimes men are not intimidated, but ashamed. Sometimes men are
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: not where they want to be and are a bit
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: embarrassed by it. When they find out that you are,
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: and because it becomes a bit of shame and embarrassment.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: But there are so many women that have taken this
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: and turned.
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: It into I intimidate them. And I guess that was
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: a fair thing for you all to say, because it
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: sounds empowering. But I want to just offer you an
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: alternative line of thinking. And if you had this alternative
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: line of thinking, it can help you cope with it. Now, Steve,
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: why women always got the dummy down? And figure this out?
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: You do?
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: Wan who wrote the letter in say you want somebody?
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: I ain't never wrote a letter in and said I
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: wanted nobody. So now if you want somebody, there's a
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: game to this. There's some gamesmanship. It's gamesmanship that men
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: have to play to get you, and you know it.
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: And it's things that you require and you know it.
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: So when something gets required of you some type of gamesmanship,
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: you ain't got to get mad at Uncle Steve because
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: he telling you the game. I'm just trying to help
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: you with the game.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: I could use this letter, which I think I'll do,
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: but I wanted to say that first so we could
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: get on the same page. I really want women to
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: understand this. Y'all met online for professionals, and we were
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: compatible on so many levels. He's an administrator. I was
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: a team leader. I wanted love and all this here.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: When I got dressed in the morning, they had to work,
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: He'd say I look powerful instead of beautiful. He would
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: tell me the boss up if I complained about stress
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: at the work. He treated me like my mentor, and
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: I was beneath him professionally. You the one went on
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: this dating site for professionals. That's where you went. You
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: looked for people with similar mind sets. You want a
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: professional man, but what you oftentimes forget is a lot
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: of men bring their jobs home.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: So that God, that's a professional at work. He tried.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: He acted like here a professional at the house too.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Boss up, you look powerful today.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Goodbye?
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: All right, we'll have part two of your response coming up.
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: Steve at twenty three minutes after the hour, Today's Strawberry letter,
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: subject my success is intimidating. We'll get back into it
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: right after this. You're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:22Speaker 10: Around the holidays, it's hard to find the right gifts,
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: but you know it's even harder getting the right gift.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: But get this.
- 1:03:30Speaker 10: Verizon's got the perfect solve for both. They have incredible
- 1:03:34Speaker 10: gift bundles. You get the latest phone with a new
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: line on my plan and a brand new smartwatch and tablet,
- 1:03:42Speaker 10: no trade in needed. You can give a couple away
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: and get yourself one two, or you can keep them
- 1:03:48Speaker 10: all to yourself. No one has to know. Stop by
- 1:03:51Speaker 10: your local Verizon. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:03:55Speaker 10: today's strawberry letter. The subject is my success is in timid.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: Okay, I've told you the way that I want you
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: all sometimes to consider this, and I appreciate it. I
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: understand why you say it's intimidating, because intimidating is a
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: more empowering term.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: I give it to you. And you've earned what you've earned,
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: and you deserve to be where you are, and congratulations.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: But a real man is not intimidated by your success. Now,
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: some men are ashamed of where they are, so there's
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: a bit of shame when they meet a woman who
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: has it together and a bit of what do you
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: call it, disappointment in themselves. But if you want to
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: call it intimidation for the sake of the letter, okay,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: so you're intimidating. I'm just off in your way. So now,
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: but I want to show you something in this letter
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: that I just noticed you. So you were in a
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: four year relationship then and when you got promoted, your
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: boyfriend left the relationship. Now you met on an online
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: dating site for professionals right here.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: If you went seeking this type of man, well you
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: got it. We would compare on so many levels. He's
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: an administrator at his job. I was a team leader.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: When we started dating. I wanted love and he provided that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: But he also added a lot of competition to our relationship. Okay,
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: you're in the professional zone. Now, that's what y'all do
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: in corporate America. When I got dressed in the morning
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: to head out the work, he said I look powerful
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: instead of I look beautiful. He would tell me to
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: boss up if I complained about stress at work. See,
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: you meet these professional men, so you think, and they
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: bring their job home because he thinks that's what you like.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: And now that's what he trying to be. Now here,
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: go to park right here.
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: He treated me like he was my mentor and I
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: was beneath him professionally. Whoa wait a minute, now hold up,
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: Now you either want a man in charge. You want
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: a man that was shureley you can crown. You want
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: a man that's a what you want because when he
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: acts like he you mintor mentor, and then you say
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: I was beneath him professionally, But I actually made more
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: money than him. Okay, See, you got to make up
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: your mind now. Oh, because you make more money than him,
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: he can't tell you nothing. He can't act like he
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: mentor you. He do know the male side of things
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: that he can offer to you and that you may
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: not have from female perspective.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Okay, but actually mailed more money him.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: Then I got a promotion and a company car, and
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: he overheard me telling my mom what I'd be making annually.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: He insinuated that I was too close to my boss
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: and that's why I got a promotion. Oh now he
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: gonna make you think you slip your way to the tongue.
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: I understand your ankle. Like I said, systems. You got
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: your education, you did the credentials, you put your time in.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: You deserve to be who you gonna be. We arguing
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: for days, and then he moved out. Couldn't take it
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: no more because I think he got ashamed of where
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: you were getting too, and he wasn't because now he
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: mentoring you getting promotions, company cars, making most salary.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: All this help.
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: Now, since we broke up, you had a few dates,
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: and I ain't found a man that matches me intellectually
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: or financially. One guy told me that my success was
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: very intimidating. I told you, real men, not intimidate that
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: this little boy you'd have met with all these little
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: hang ups in his own little life. That's what he
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: gonna tell you. I wish men could see my sweet
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: and nurture inside. But as soon as I tell him
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: what I do for a living, they decided that I
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: don't have time for the liasship. I've thought about telling
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: guys that have an entry level jug just to see
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: if they would ask me how to care.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: All right, go ahead, try to.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: There are so many sides of me. I would hate
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: to have to diminish all that I am to satisfy
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: a man. So let me ask you a question. When
- 1:08:06Speaker 5: you say you don't want to diminish all that I
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: am just to satisfy man, So are you leading with
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: all this in the conversation? Have you made this a
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: level of importance to you because you don't want you.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: You can't find a man that intellectually matches you or
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: financially that seems to be a package deal with you.
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: So now, are you looking for a good man or
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: are you looking for a certain type of man? And
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: it's okay, you got every right to want what you want,
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: but in here can be part of the problem because
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: if you're not just looking for a good man, if
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: you're looking for a good man with a certain type
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: of job making a certain amount of money, then get
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: in line, because everybody looking for him. So I'm not
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: gonna be able to help you because you've created all
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: of the stereotypes that keep you right where you need
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: to be. You're intimidating to men. You make more money
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: than him.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: How he met her?
- 1:09:17Speaker 12: In me?
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know what to tell you. My ex
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: married an art teacher. Go figure, Well, yeah, yeah he
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: got he married an art teacher. Go figure, what's see you?
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: You?
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: You you throwing me a little bit? What's the matter
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: with the art teacher?
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: Oh, she ain't a professional, she ain't a team leader,
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: or she don't make the money you may Oh, all right, so.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: Now you ain't happy what men make all other women.
- 1:09:51Speaker 10: From Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey f them on Instagram.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: And so women expected to better our lives and that
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: needed for a husband. I like our last Biden best.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Oh stop that.

- 1:11:06Speaker 9: way Jalen Hurts is playing. They don't like his approach
- 1:11:09Speaker 9: to the game this season. You know, whatever he does,
- 1:11:13Speaker 9: it ain't good enough. They won't you know, they got
- 1:11:15Speaker 9: some problems with him at quarterback.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Well, they eighting too, World champions.
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: Yeah, they don't want to name themselves.
- 1:11:23Speaker 9: They just said some of the Eagles players don't like
- 1:11:26Speaker 9: the way he's playing the position this year.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: He won't throw the ball in the tight windows.
- 1:11:30Speaker 9: He don't, they said, he won't throw the ball in
- 1:11:33Speaker 9: the tight window.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: You don't play quarterback. Ask them do they know how
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: to play quarterback?
- 1:11:45Speaker 8: Do you want to be the Saints.
- 1:11:52Speaker 12: And eight?
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: You don't like eight and two?
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: You want to be you want to go?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he said the Saints to.
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: The Raiders twenty eight, the Browns to you want to
- 1:12:03Speaker 8: go play with?
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you a question. What is the
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: Texans five and five? We five five? We're five, five
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: and five? What that get wild card?
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: It's still in the game.
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: Five five ain't getting no wild card. We're still in
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: the game. We still I'm telling you we're still in
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: the game.
- 1:12:26Speaker 8: You still five, Lord, We're going twelve and five.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: We want to that's all. If you win out, if
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: you win all the rest of the game.
- 1:12:35Speaker 7: We went up.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: We were in the rest of these seven games we
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: were in. Okay, let's say how that goes well? We
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: played tonight, junr. So you know that.
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: Hey, hey, hey man, don't don't bring it up right now?
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: Times Why you want to bring that up?
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: We were talking about we're doing sports. Who y'all playing Buffalo?
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Play Buffalo?
- 1:13:01Speaker 8: Why I didn't want to bring it up?
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Buffalo, y'all gonna y'all gonna actually go to the game?
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: I got tickets?
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Then why why can't they go to the game? See?
- 1:13:22Speaker 9: All I'm saying is why are they riding him so hard?
- 1:13:25Speaker 9: It's this don't make no sense. He's eight and two.
- 1:13:28Speaker 8: You can't be happy with aight and too. There's nothing
- 1:13:30Speaker 8: wrong and two.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: If you don't want.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: That, here's a wide receiver and we know number where
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: number living.
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: A J.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Brown We got it saying saying a J All right, junior,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: thank you go Texans. Coming up at the top of.
- 1:13:57Speaker 10: A woman on social media needs some advice, Steve, She says,
- 1:13:59Speaker 10: am I wrong for disinviting my cousin to Thanksgiving dinner.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 1:14:05Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is
- 1:14:12Speaker 10: from Lucretia on Steve Harvey FM. Lucretia says, I'm hosting
- 1:14:16Speaker 10: Thanksgiving this year, and I've disinvited my cousin because he's
- 1:14:21Speaker 10: currently facing charges for armed robbery. Nothing has been proven yet,
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: but it's still a case anyway. His mother, my Auntie,
- 1:14:30Speaker 10: is furious and keeps saying, quote, I'm ruining the holiday,
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: acting like I'm overreacting instead of acknowledging that her son's
- 1:14:39Speaker 10: bad choices put everyone in this position. Am I wrong
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: for keeping my cousin out of my home even if
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: it upsets the rest of my family?
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: Yes, you are wrong for that. Really, it's just all Robbie.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: You did not say that armed it's the key word.
- 1:15:03Speaker 13: Yes, he had house, he went in there, took something
- 1:15:11Speaker 13: widget gun that right now and what ain't they charges?
- 1:15:17Speaker 10: He's currently facing charges for armed robbery. Nothing has been
- 1:15:21Speaker 10: proven yet.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: It is silly case, proven guilty. What that guy do
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: with him? Eating?
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: She does not want him in her house kind of year?
- 1:15:32Speaker 7: Next?
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I.

- 1:24:11Speaker 2: We said thirty three.
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: Uh huh, I'm not gonna eat with them, saying them
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: thirty now, be ready for them to go in for

- 1:24:22Speaker 2: So they can tell him how good he make a turkey?
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: That's all this is.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Oh, that's what it is for you sure can't fry
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: a turkey?

- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Harvey right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Morning Show.
- 1:24:49Speaker 10: Around the holidays, it's hard to find the right gifts,
- 1:24:52Speaker 10: but you know what's even harder getting the right gift.

- 1:25:16Speaker 10: Stop by your local Verizon. All right, guys, here we
- 1:25:21Speaker 10: are our last break of the day. It's been a
- 1:25:24Speaker 10: good day.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: Thank you guys for listening to.
- 1:25:29Speaker 5: My closing remarks is just basically thank you to everybody
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: who has supported the Steven Margie Harvey Foundation, who was
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: at the event last night, Benjamin Krunk for speaking, all
- 1:25:46Speaker 5: the female speakers, everybody that came, Kim performing a special
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: shout out to Junior for hosting.
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: I got some great reviews on Junior's hosting the event.
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: And I got a lot of calls and stuff about
- 1:26:03Speaker 5: the event and how effective the young people are who
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: stood up to speak. And you know, for me, that's
- 1:26:12Speaker 5: what it's really all about. You can feel how you
- 1:26:16Speaker 5: want to feel about me. But if somebody can stand
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: up and say that my work, our work changed their life,
- 1:26:26Speaker 5: that our work gave them a mission, that our work
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: helped give them the keys to success, that I will
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: work propelled them to a level of greatness, that's really
- 1:26:40Speaker 5: all I care about. You know, some funny thing about
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: the internet, because it's not a lot about the gala
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: that was on the internet. When I do my program
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: this week, when Marjorie, I mean this year, when Marjorie
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: does her Girls Rule the World and I do the
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: Boys Mentoring Camp, it's not gonna flood the internet. That
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: that be, not a whole lot of blogs picking it
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: up talking about it. It's not gonna happen. Now, let
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: me go out here and make a mistake. Let me
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: go out here and do something that's gossipy. Have a
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: picture of me walking in or out of a strip club.
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: Oh man, that'll make every blog I'll here be on CNN.
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: Because that's all we care about. It's something that we
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: can sensationalize and then get on there and make comments
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: about But if a person, and I'm not just talking
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: about myself, if a person.
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: Is doing something good, how come we don't ever Why
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: we don't blow that up? Why don't we do that?
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: And yesterday was a rough day for me because I
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: lost a friend yesterday.
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: I had only known this guy, this guy for about
- 1:27:59Speaker 5: four years, and I met him down in Barsville, Georgia,
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: and he worked on the technical crew. But as he
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: was doing some internet work for me on my ranch,
- 1:28:12Speaker 5: I found out that he fished. It's kind of late
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: for me to give him his flowers because he passed.
- 1:28:22Speaker 5: But he was thirty some years old man with two
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: little boys eight and ten, and a beautiful wife, and
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: he had some type of a rare blood cancer and
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: it had gotten all in his bones. And you know,
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: I tried to help in ways. You know, I don't
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: want to get into that, but I did what I
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: thought was the right thing to do. And his wife
- 1:28:46Speaker 5: text me and said he passed. And it ain't gonna
- 1:28:51Speaker 5: be a lot of social media about this dude. But
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: let me tell you something about the dude. He was
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: a young white guy in his thirties from Barnsville, Georgia,
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: who met a group of all black men. Some of
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: my friends are seventy years old today in the late
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: sixties and seventies and have never fished a day in
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: day life. And because he and I had a fishing
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: relationship after I learned that he could fish, but he
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: was doing some technical work around my ranch, I asked
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: him what he come when my partners came to help
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: him learn how to fish? Every year he was there,
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: wouldn't miss it, man, and he looked forward to it,
- 1:29:35Speaker 5: and he loved them dudes. A young white dude was
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: teaching a bunch of old black men how to fish.
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: Because it's fifteen of us. I couldn't teach everybody. He
- 1:29:46Speaker 5: was just helping and he passed. Ain't nobody gonna write
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: about that. That he was a Scout leader. His name
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: was Scott, Scott Gallagher from bar Georgia. He was a
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: Scout leader. He had two little boys. This little dude's
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: This boy could fish so good. I just love the
- 1:30:09Speaker 5: guy he passed. But he was just a great human
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: being man, just a great human being. But they don't
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: right about that. But thet cancer and he died. I'm
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: just taking my time just to say, hey, man, I
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: miss you.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: I love you.
- 1:30:24Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: Sorry I couldn't do more. But back to what I
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: was also saying, we don't glorify people for the good
- 1:30:37Speaker 5: they do. We castraight people for the wrongs they do.
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: Oh man, we can't wait to eat you up for
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: making your mistake. But when you're out here helping people
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: and moving the way you out there moving, and you
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: out there doing stuff for somebody that ain't even in
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: your family, when you out there celebrating people, and nobody
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: got nothing to say about that.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: So I just wanted to stop for a moment today
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: and say thank you for everybody.
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: Now we're talking about me now, for everybody that's ever
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: made a contribution to the Steven Marjorie Harvey Foundation, for
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: every volunteer, for everybody that's ever came down and spoke
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: to anybody that's ever cared. Man, thank you, thank you,
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: thank you. Because here's what I've always said. Your career
- 1:31:30Speaker 5: is what you paid for, but your calling is what
- 1:31:33Speaker 5: you made for. I'm in the calling phase of my
- 1:31:36Speaker 5: life and I thank God for being that way. I
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: thank Junior for hosting it last night. I thank Benjamin
- 1:31:42Speaker 5: Crump for speaking at it last night. I think everybody
- 1:31:45Speaker 5: who contributed in any way that they can thank you
- 1:31:49Speaker 5: and let the good work continue. And y'all do me
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: a favor, right about that, sometime right about that. Sometimes
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: talk to God today, love to hear from it.
