- 0:02Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure, well, good morning everybody.
- 0:09Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 0:13Speaker 1: on and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. You know,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I think I ought to explain something to y'all. You
- 0:18Speaker 1: know when I when I wake up in the morning
- 0:20Speaker 1: and I say, dig me, Now, what I'm asking you
- 0:24Speaker 1: to do is it's old school, you know, man, And
- 0:27Speaker 1: you know you said old people say I dig You
- 0:29Speaker 1: know Dad never stop saying that. I'm sorry, but dig
- 0:33Speaker 1: me now. It's just I want you to I won't
- 0:36Speaker 1: you really feel me. I won't you to understand what
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm saying, because really, this morning inspiration is all given
- 0:43Speaker 1: in the spirit of sharing and love. It ain't about
- 0:46Speaker 1: to expose me in any way. That's not the purpose
- 0:49Speaker 1: of it. But I found that in my morning inspiration
- 0:54Speaker 1: that's best that I use some things about myself, because
- 0:56Speaker 1: I mean, what better example can I use? Because I
- 0:59Speaker 1: know me, know what's happened to me. I know exactly
- 1:02Speaker 1: how I felt all along the way concerning almost everything,
- 1:06Speaker 1: every aspect of my life. I now fully do really
- 1:10Speaker 1: understand why God had my life spend the way it spun.
- 1:15Speaker 1: And here's the part that I want to give to
- 1:17Speaker 1: you this morning that first of all, whatever position you
- 1:20Speaker 1: find yourself in today, we kind of come to one
- 1:23Speaker 1: realization that we got ourselves there. We put ourselves there
- 1:28Speaker 1: by a series of thoughts and actions. Thoughts turn into things.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That's very important to know. So let's look at both
- 1:38Speaker 1: sides of it. For people who think negative thoughts, it
- 1:43Speaker 1: turns into negative things, and the direct opposite is true.
- 1:49Speaker 1: For those who think positive thoughts, it turns into positive things.
- 1:56Speaker 1: That's the deal. It's as simple as that. For I
- 2:01Speaker 1: cannot break it down any cleaner, I cannot make it
- 2:05Speaker 1: any clearer. Thoughts become things. So the one glaring question
- 2:12Speaker 1: for all of us always is on a daily basis,
- 2:16Speaker 1: what are you thinking? What are your thoughts? What are
- 2:19Speaker 1: you thinking? What are your thoughts? Because I can assure
- 2:25Speaker 1: you and is not by a promise of mine. This
- 2:29Speaker 1: is not a theory that Steve Harveyden came up with.
- 2:33Speaker 1: This is a fact of life. This is biblical, this
- 2:38Speaker 1: is spiritual, This is written, this is philosophical, This is
- 2:43Speaker 1: the law of the universe. However, you need to drink
- 2:46Speaker 1: this medicine to take to get it down and feel
- 2:49Speaker 1: what I'm saying to you. This is just the way
- 2:52Speaker 1: it is now and here the cold part, folks, It
- 2:55Speaker 1: don't matter if you believe me or not. It does
- 3:00Speaker 1: not matter if you have never been explained this or not.
- 3:05Speaker 1: And it does not matter if you think it works
- 3:08Speaker 1: in your life or not. It don't matter. Listen to me.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It is the way it is.
- 3:14Speaker 2: It is a.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Scriptural, it is a spiritual, it is philosophical. It's just
- 3:20Speaker 1: whatever is the law of the universe.
- 3:22Speaker 2: You call whatever you want call.
- 3:23Speaker 1: However, you got to dress this thing up to put
- 3:27Speaker 1: it in a phase that you can feel me. I
- 3:29Speaker 1: want you to feel me now, because this is all
- 3:31Speaker 1: it is. So when I say that you are where
- 3:35Speaker 1: we are today because we thought ourselves here, are you
- 3:39Speaker 1: best to believe that's true? You thought yourself here, no
- 3:42Speaker 1: one else see. Let me explain something. I got people
- 3:46Speaker 1: around me who so badly want to take credit for it,
- 3:51Speaker 1: but I don't allow it. But because I keep pointing
- 3:56Speaker 1: to the heavens, I keep pointing and trying, and they
- 4:01Speaker 1: say it out loud as many times as I can
- 4:03Speaker 1: without being so offensive. That my life is by design,
- 4:09Speaker 1: by grace and mercy, by blessings from God. My life
- 4:13Speaker 1: is because God has seen it to be so. Oh,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but I got plenty people around me want credit for
- 4:19Speaker 1: it and want you to not give credit to God
- 4:22Speaker 1: and give it to them.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I got that.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I got that, But I understand that. See, I understand
- 4:28Speaker 1: what that is. That's a person whose design is to
- 4:32Speaker 1: get the credit. But it's okay. It's so clear to
- 4:36Speaker 1: me what my father was saying to me. Man, I
- 4:38Speaker 1: get it as I get older and older, he always
- 4:41Speaker 1: said to me, son, everybody come with you can't go
- 4:44Speaker 1: with you. See, you know, I don't know how people
- 4:48Speaker 1: say it in church. You know sometime they go, well,
- 4:50Speaker 1: people come into your life for seasons, and I guess
- 4:53Speaker 1: that's the same thing. You know, they seizing up, They
- 4:55Speaker 1: gone well, you know, and then but then hit the
- 4:59Speaker 1: way they try to hold you though, or you're gonna
- 5:01Speaker 1: forget where you come from. Oh, you ain't gonna keep
- 5:05Speaker 1: it real no more. I don't want to go back
- 5:08Speaker 1: where I come from. I don't want to keep it
- 5:10Speaker 1: that real no more. It was real enough for me
- 5:13Speaker 1: living in the car. I had enough of that real.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I don't gonna keep it real now. I don't keep
- 5:18Speaker 1: it real. I wanna go keep it dreamy. I want
- 5:21Speaker 1: to go keep it fantasized. I want I wanna. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: want to keep it out of this world. I want
- 5:25Speaker 1: to keep it off the chain. I want to keep
- 5:28Speaker 1: it moving. I want to keep it ball and I
- 5:30Speaker 1: want to see what that's like. So Nah, I ain't
- 5:32Speaker 1: gonna forget where I come from, but you ain't gonna
- 5:35Speaker 1: hold me to that though See, thoughts become things all
- 5:40Speaker 1: day long? Where's your vision board? Where are the things
- 5:45Speaker 1: that you want written down? What do you think about
- 5:48Speaker 1: the most? How grateful are you for what all God
- 5:52Speaker 1: has done for you? Where you at with that?
- 5:55Speaker 2: See?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Here hear another law? If thoughts become things, Let me
- 6:02Speaker 1: ask you this. If all you thinking about is your debt,
- 6:06Speaker 1: If all you're thinking about is what you ain't got,
- 6:09Speaker 1: If all you thinking about or is all woe is me?
- 6:13Speaker 2: If all you.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Thinking about is every time I turn around, I'm sick.
- 6:16Speaker 1: If all you thinking about it's the things in life
- 6:21Speaker 1: that you're lacking. If that's all you thinking about, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: if thoughts become things, how much debt you think you're
- 6:32Speaker 1: gonna stay in?
- 6:33Speaker 2: How much?
- 6:34Speaker 1: How much how much lacking you think you're finn to
- 6:36Speaker 1: fill your life with? How much most stuff you fin
- 6:40Speaker 1: to not have because you keep thinking about it all
- 6:45Speaker 1: the time. When you're gonna be grateful, when you're gonna
- 6:49Speaker 1: say thank you, when it's gonna come out your mouth, Man,
- 6:53Speaker 1: that I may not be where I want to be,
- 6:56Speaker 1: but I show am grateful for what you've given me
- 6:59Speaker 1: so far, for the things I have to date, because
- 7:03Speaker 1: I don't have to have these things. You know what
- 7:05Speaker 1: that does? That then opens up room for more stuff
- 7:09Speaker 1: to come your way. To be grateful fall. But if
- 7:11Speaker 1: you're gonna be ungrateful, ah, man, let me ask you something.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I ain't God, I don't claim to be, But let
- 7:17Speaker 1: me ask you something man. If you ungrateful for the
- 7:20Speaker 1: things we got, If we can't show no gratitude for
- 7:23Speaker 1: what we have, why would God give us some most
- 7:28Speaker 1: stuff to be ungrateful for? What would he do that for?
- 7:32Speaker 3: Tada?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Anybody feel me right now? So when I say come on,
- 7:37Speaker 1: y'all dig me? Now? Do you understand why I say
- 7:39Speaker 1: dig me Because I.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Want you to feel me.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I want you to understand and come to the understanding,
- 7:44Speaker 1: not saying you ain't. Because there's so many people got
- 7:45Speaker 1: a deeper understanding than me about this whole thing. I
- 7:48Speaker 1: promise you they do, but they listen to me. I'm
- 7:51Speaker 1: just trying to get you to walk up in this light, man,
- 7:53Speaker 1: so you can go on with your life and quit
- 7:55Speaker 1: tripping yourself out with your thoughts, because thoughts become things,
- 7:59Speaker 1: all right.
- 7:59Speaker 4: All day you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 8:07Speaker 4: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your attention.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Please, How can I put this to you that makes
- 8:15Speaker 1: you makes it really stick today? Because I've tried several
- 8:19Speaker 1: ways to get you into the mind frame, to get
- 8:23Speaker 1: you into the mind frame of honoring God for this
- 8:26Speaker 1: wonderful thing that He gives us every day called the present,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and I don't want you to overlook the fact that
- 8:33Speaker 1: it's necessary. I woke up this morning kind of in
- 8:36Speaker 1: a little helter skelter, so I didn't get to save
- 8:38Speaker 1: my prayers right away. But then before I came on air,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I stopped and I got myself together and was able
- 8:45Speaker 1: to put it in because I just don't want to
- 8:47Speaker 1: start a day without thanking God for this day.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I just don't. I just really really don't.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And what in part of the big part of my
- 8:56Speaker 1: prayers thanking Him for yesterday, for all he did for
- 8:59Speaker 1: me and me through, and then I also want to
- 9:02Speaker 1: thank him for the things He's prepared for me today
- 9:05Speaker 1: that I have no knowledge of. Wow, God goes in
- 9:09Speaker 1: rooms before I go there, So when I get in
- 9:13Speaker 1: the room, I don't I don't worry about who in
- 9:15Speaker 1: the room. I go in the room and I look
- 9:17Speaker 1: for God, because if God goes before me, all I
- 9:21Speaker 1: gotta do is go in there and look for God. Now,
- 9:23Speaker 1: whoever he working through that day, That's who I'm in
- 9:26Speaker 1: search of. Boy, you better, you better put your life
- 9:30Speaker 1: in peace and quit tripping with these people. Go ahead
- 9:34Speaker 1: on Steve Harvey Martin Show, Charlie Strawberry, Califrail Mississippi Mornica Jr.

- 9:44Speaker 1: what's going on today? You know, normally I ask junior, junior,
- 9:48Speaker 1: what's on your mind today? But kind of scared to
- 9:50Speaker 1: do that with Tommy.
- 9:51Speaker 4: So what do you mean, you know, Tommy?
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it ain't Tommy, it's what come out of time, Tommy.
- 10:06Speaker 1: It's you know, be early in the morning and you
- 10:09Speaker 1: just don't want to all right, man, Hey Tommy, Yeah,
- 10:13Speaker 1: let's say, man, what's on your mind today?
- 10:16Speaker 3: So so I'm trying to help a buddy of mine out.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Maybe you can help, Okay, So.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Oh lord, what are his friends?
- 10:23Speaker 3: One of my boys been sleep for seven days because
- 10:27Speaker 3: he said his wife said, when you wake up, I
- 10:32Speaker 3: want you to tell me who the hell Stephanie is.
- 10:35Speaker 3: He ain't woke up yet, So what can he say
- 10:39Speaker 3: when he wake up? Because clearly he is. I don't
- 10:43Speaker 3: know what to say, and he ain't. He ain't woke
- 10:45Speaker 3: up in seven days, so I just want to I
- 10:47Speaker 3: think that's a very good question.
- 10:49Speaker 4: See that's why right here, you're right after.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So now somehow he has notified Tommy that he's still
- 10:59Speaker 1: sleep for seven days, and now he gonna ask, oh,
- 11:05Speaker 1: what should he say when he wake up?
- 11:08Speaker 2: Let me help you with this. Hire. When he wakes up.
- 11:11Speaker 1: He wasn't sleep, he was in a coma, okay, God,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and he has no memory of Stephanie or any woman
- 11:24Speaker 1: that has a name with an S in it.
- 11:27Speaker 2: There you go.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Amnesia.
- 11:29Speaker 1: That's all he got going. And surely let's just let
- 11:32Speaker 1: him have that. He gonna tell his friend because he

- 17:52Speaker 7: I don't know what else you can tell me, Bro.

- 19:35Speaker 1: You do it?
- 19:37Speaker 4: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Have you
- 19:43Speaker 4: thought about buying life insurance to protect yourself and your family?
- 19:47Speaker 4: Global life insurance is easy to understand and easy to buy.
- 19:51Speaker 4: With coverage amounts up to one hundred thousand dollars. The
- 19:54Speaker 4: application process is quick. There is no medical exam, just

- 20:07Speaker 4: four hundred or globelifradio dot com. Coming up at the
- 20:11Speaker 4: top of the hour. And entertainment news. Hurricane Melissa impacked
- 20:16Speaker 4: at Jamaica as a Category five storm late yesterday. We'll
- 20:19Speaker 4: have an update on that. Cedric the entertainer gives his
- 20:23Speaker 4: opinion on joking about the US's food stamps crisis. And
- 20:28Speaker 4: actor Kelsey Grammer you remember him from Fraser welcomed his
- 20:32Speaker 4: eighth child at age seventy. Wow. That is all coming
- 20:37Speaker 4: up at the top of the hour. But right now
- 20:40Speaker 4: it is time to ask the CLO, our Chief Love Officer,
- 20:43Speaker 4: Steve Harvey. Ready, Steve, Yeah, all right, here we go.
- 20:48Speaker 4: CLO Tamia and Richmond writes, my twelve year old son
- 20:52Speaker 4: has a crush on a girl at school, and he
- 20:54Speaker 4: asked her out on a date. He asked her mom
- 20:57Speaker 4: after school, and then he told me he wants me
- 21:00Speaker 4: to take them to the mall Saturday. Is this cute?
- 21:04Speaker 4: Or are they too young to be going on dates?
- 21:07Speaker 2: Well, you can stop with them. Are they too young?
- 21:10Speaker 1: He'dn already asked the mama, the mama that said, yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 1: he got to crush.
- 21:17Speaker 2: On the girl.
- 21:18Speaker 1: What you cannot do is get these boys to uncrush that.
- 21:24Speaker 1: That ain't finna happen. Yeah, he got a crush on
- 21:30Speaker 1: this girl. What you stopped liking her?
- 21:33Speaker 2: What happen?
- 21:37Speaker 1: So it's it's kind of cute if they just go
- 21:40Speaker 1: to the mall. Yeah, it's if they just go to
- 21:44Speaker 1: the mall, that's that's what's gonna happen. But you know
- 21:50Speaker 1: you raised a good boy. He went over there, he
- 21:52Speaker 1: asked the mamba. Yeah, gentlemen, so you know he twelve.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I had a crush on girl. I've had a crush
- 22:01Speaker 1: on girls my entire life. I never went through that.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I don't like little girl, period.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't know what to do with them,
- 22:08Speaker 2: But I never I never not like him. I always knew.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I WoT it was.
- 22:13Speaker 4: How old were you when you went on your first date?
- 22:17Speaker 2: Fifteen?
- 22:19Speaker 4: Where'd you guys go?
- 22:21Speaker 2: Moving movies? You know this back in the day. Wasn't
- 22:25Speaker 2: what else were we gonna go?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah, there were no malls, movies, skating, raking. When I
- 22:34Speaker 1: was fifteen, there were no malls. Really, yeah, malls hadn't
- 22:39Speaker 1: been invented yet.
- 22:41Speaker 2: So y'all just.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Doing the seals as he got dog.
- 22:45Speaker 2: All they had was strip malls.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Oh, strip malls.
- 22:50Speaker 2: You know they had strip.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I don't let me see fifteen Let me see Montgomery Wall.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah they had that.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Strip mom too.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Well, let me just say this, big malls hadn't been
- 23:08Speaker 1: a vinit yet where you could just go and make that.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, mall might have had them. I was not exposed.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Okay, all right, we're gonna move on to Darwin. In Bastrip,
- 23:22Speaker 4: Darwin writes, I'm sleeping with the sweetest woman. That's the
- 23:27Speaker 4: best lover I ever had. She's fatitte and sweet, but
- 23:31Speaker 4: she snores like a three hundred pound mountain man. I
- 23:35Speaker 4: love everything about her. But that have you dealt with snoring?
- 23:40Speaker 4: Was it a deal breaker? Please help?
- 23:44Speaker 3: No from Darwin?
- 23:46Speaker 2: No, I ain't never had that one down. I don't
- 23:49Speaker 2: know what to tell you.
- 23:51Speaker 1: All I can tell you is to beat her to sleep.
- 23:54Speaker 1: That's all I can tell you. I'm not finna cut
- 23:56Speaker 1: her homes though, doing all that. You you ain't never
- 24:00Speaker 1: had that leads. Yeah, well, you ain't never had snoring before. Hey,
- 24:05Speaker 1: push your hey, nudge, Hey, get over on that side,
- 24:13Speaker 1: get on her side, get on her stomach.
- 24:15Speaker 2: There wasn't the case.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But if she on her back though, she giving it
- 24:18Speaker 1: to you.
- 24:21Speaker 4: So you saying go to sleep before?
- 24:24Speaker 3: Yeah, he said, he just study?
- 24:26Speaker 2: No do you just you snow and turn on you know,
- 24:31Speaker 2: make them shift positions, you.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Know, uh huh. But it's snoring a bad thing though,
- 24:36Speaker 4: you don't.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess it is. By that band aid.
- 24:39Speaker 1: They go on their nose and they got this mouthpiece
- 24:41Speaker 1: you can buy too. They got a mouthpiece that you
- 24:44Speaker 1: can buy and sleep. That helps with snoring.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Okay, but not.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Heah, not doing all that, all.
- 24:55Speaker 1: The tricks and all that. That's all I'm doing. I
- 25:02Speaker 1: just ain't sleeping.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Try to get on.
- 25:05Speaker 4: Out of here now, stretch.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I got to get on out here, get to
- 25:11Speaker 1: work in the morning.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I don't worry about that. I'm proud of here, all right.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Moving on to Raffia, Raffella rafaella in Middletown, Raffaela writes
- 25:25Speaker 4: my husband has a second phone, and he says it's
- 25:28Speaker 4: a work phone. I want to believe him, but I
- 25:30Speaker 4: feel like he could have told me that he has
- 25:33Speaker 4: another phone before I heard it ringing in his pocket?
- 25:37Speaker 3: Is all?
- 25:38Speaker 4: Am I foolish to believe it's just for work?
- 25:42Speaker 2: Well, that's what he said. It was fun.
- 25:46Speaker 1: You know, you ain't got no proof? That is nothing else?
- 25:51Speaker 4: Does she need proof though? Does she need proof?
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:55Speaker 1: You can't just accuse a man without nothing. The man
- 25:59Speaker 1: said it's a work phone. Now let's find out what
- 26:02Speaker 1: kind of work. If he the mail man, that ain't
- 26:05Speaker 1: the work phone. If he delivered that ain't a work phone.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Why didn't he tell her?
- 26:16Speaker 2: Huh?
- 26:17Speaker 4: Why didn't he tell her he had the phone. That's
- 26:19Speaker 4: also what she's mad about, because he didn't even tell her.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Ringing.
- 26:24Speaker 1: They don't work together, right, Yeah, and the phone got
- 26:28Speaker 1: assigned to me.
- 26:29Speaker 2: They handed it to me. Why I tell you I
- 26:31Speaker 2: got it?
- 26:36Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 26:37Speaker 4: Why not?
- 26:39Speaker 1: You don't know nothing about work.
- 26:40Speaker 3: You don't know nothing about the tool bell, You don't
- 26:42Speaker 3: know nothing else.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yes, what his phone?
- 26:44Speaker 4: Because it's ringing in your pocket?
- 26:47Speaker 2: That's the problem, asked, what phones do?
- 26:50Speaker 1: How else do you know an somebody on that.
- 26:54Speaker 2: But here's the lie.
- 26:57Speaker 1: If it's a work phone and it ring in this post,
- 27:00Speaker 1: then he didn't answer it, then it's not a work phone,
- 27:03Speaker 1: right because you got to answered if it's a work phone, right, yeah, right, yeah.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Now if it's ringing and he playing it off all
- 27:12Speaker 1: I don't feel like that right now, then that ain't
- 27:14Speaker 1: a work phone.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I'm upset with him though.
- 27:18Speaker 4: Why Why?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Why is that not on silence? Why is he that stupid?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Why? Because it's a work phone, Tom, Why would you
- 27:27Speaker 1: put your work phone on silid? That's the other comeback
- 27:31Speaker 1: I got, baby, If this wasn't a work phone, why
- 27:34Speaker 1: would I not have I would just put it on silent? Well,
- 27:39Speaker 1: why didn't you answer it? Because I didn't hear it.
- 27:42Speaker 2: In time.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Because you were talking to me, baby.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Having because you know, I've had my phone rang in
- 27:50Speaker 1: my pocket before, like I had on my workout pants
- 27:54Speaker 1: and I couldn't and I couldn't get that thing out
- 27:56Speaker 1: of my pocket. Man, I just couldn't get my phone
- 27:58Speaker 1: out of my pocket. And I need eat it out too,
- 28:00Speaker 1: and I couldn't get it out.
- 28:02Speaker 4: Okay, But in this case, you think he's lying. I
- 28:08Speaker 4: think he's lying. Yeah, yeah, you know it's the full.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Rain that ain't work for rock breaking it forward.
- 28:21Speaker 4: It was on silence. All right, thank you, Clo coming
- 28:27Speaker 4: up with the teller. We will have some entertainment news
- 28:31Speaker 4: for you right after this. You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Hurricane Melissa made landfall in New Hope, Jamaica, yesterday afternoon
- 28:44Speaker 4: as a powerful Category five storm and causing widespread devastation.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Melissa pumbled through with one hundred and eighty five miles
- 28:53Speaker 4: per hour winds and torrential rain. Yeah yeah, yeah, one
- 28:57Speaker 4: and eighty five miles per hour.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Then weake into a Category four as it continued its
- 29:03Speaker 4: path of destruction across Jamaica. According to AP News, multiple
- 29:07Speaker 4: hospitals and emergency services are not accessible because of flooding
- 29:12Speaker 4: and power lass. On Monday, ahead of Hurricane Melissa, Jamaican
- 29:16Speaker 4: Prime Minister Andrew Hallness cautioned that a cleanup would be slow.
- 29:21Speaker 4: He said, quote, there is no infrastructure in the region
- 29:25Speaker 4: that can withstand a category five. The question is the
- 29:29Speaker 4: speed of recovery. That's a challenge. There are reportedly close
- 29:34Speaker 4: to twenty five thousand tourists stranded right now in Jamaica
- 29:38Speaker 4: that were unable to evacuate and this morning, the hurricane
- 29:41Speaker 4: is expected to impact Cuba and then move on toward
- 29:45Speaker 4: the Bahamas by late this afternoon. And of course our
- 29:49Speaker 4: prayers are with those impacted by this horrific storm, Hurricane Melissa.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Is our president going to help helping everybody here?
- 29:57Speaker 4: Well, we have to help the Caribbean. I mean, I
- 30:01Speaker 4: don't see how you can't help the right in the Caribbean.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know we don't see how.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Yeah, well you're right, see yeah.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I think we're gonna have to put some prayer on
- 30:14Speaker 1: this that we touch all the right hearts because you know,
- 30:18Speaker 1: we we have the means to help. Yes, but you
- 30:21Speaker 1: know the problem with this make America great again, it
- 30:25Speaker 1: has been to withdraw. If you knew the damage they've
- 30:29Speaker 1: caused in Africa with Africa Aid being taken away. I
- 30:34Speaker 1: mean really simple stuff like just mosquito nets. Do you
- 30:39Speaker 1: know what the medical assistance to Africa? And they don't care.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Project twenty twenty five doesn't care. I'm really afraid of
- 30:49Speaker 1: this administration's people. And I'm gonna tell you something, man,
- 30:54Speaker 1: it's this is my honest opinion. It's the people around
- 31:01Speaker 1: Donald Trump that are the most dangerous because I think
- 31:08Speaker 1: they play, you know, they play on the fact that
- 31:10Speaker 1: we support you, and they know he loves that. But
- 31:14Speaker 1: in saying we support you, they are allowed to enact
- 31:20Speaker 1: their policies around him.
- 31:24Speaker 2: And that's the danger man.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Project twenty twenty five came from this one guy who
- 31:30Speaker 1: sat on Donald Trump's plane and promised him his support,
- 31:33Speaker 1: and that's how he got it in and we're dealing
- 31:35Speaker 1: with Project twenty twenty five. And that's I'm just afraid
- 31:39Speaker 1: that this no aid to these countries are gonna help.
- 31:43Speaker 1: We were so slow in helping Puerto Rico.
- 31:49Speaker 4: I just we're the most powerful country in the world.
- 31:52Speaker 8: There's no way that some of its islands and the
- 31:55Speaker 8: richest in the Caribbean can rebuild without international support.
- 31:58Speaker 4: That's no exactly way.
- 32:01Speaker 1: But you know, Carla, the reason you're considered the most
- 32:04Speaker 1: powerful nation in the world is because you've extended the
- 32:08Speaker 1: arm of.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Aid and built allies around the world.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Once you start thinking you don't need other people, you
- 32:18Speaker 1: don't get to be big as you were.
- 32:21Speaker 2: You just don't.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Because there's a lot of ill will towards America right
- 32:26Speaker 1: now because of their unwillingness to continue being a source
- 32:30Speaker 1: of aid that they've been for so long.
- 32:33Speaker 2: I feel like America is and I see you on
- 32:36Speaker 2: life support. That's what it is about. And the beep
- 32:42Speaker 2: is fading away bad.
- 32:45Speaker 6: You know.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I think you're right, and you know, the whole the
- 32:49Speaker 1: whole thing of make America great again. They didn't understand,
- 32:56Speaker 1: are then complete denial of how America was built in
- 33:01Speaker 1: the first place. Yeah, America was built on free label. Yeah,
- 33:06Speaker 1: exactly how they got into the eco industrial revolution with
- 33:12Speaker 1: money because they had free label. Yeah. And America, Europeans,
- 33:19Speaker 1: all of them, they've built nothing of their own. Take
- 33:24Speaker 1: some somebody else already got men, say it's yours and
- 33:28Speaker 1: then yeah, and then act like you didn't take it,
- 33:31Speaker 1: like you've been there the whole time.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Made right, and now let's erase the history. So don't
- 33:39Speaker 2: nobody know what we did?
- 33:41Speaker 4: They want to do?
- 33:43Speaker 9: Come on, man, No, Yeah, there is some organizations and
- 33:50Speaker 9: charities that are offering relief, and you can start with Jamaica,
- 33:54Speaker 9: Red Cross, Dot War, but I'm sure there are more.
- 33:58Speaker 4: All right, thank you guys switching years now. I don't
- 34:02Speaker 4: know if you knew about this, Steve, but TMC recently
- 34:05Speaker 4: caught an original King of comedy in New York City.
- 34:08Speaker 4: It wasn't you, obviously, but it was Cedric the entertainer.
- 34:13Speaker 4: That's right. TMZ talked to SETI said about the jokes
- 34:16Speaker 4: being made about food stamps and said said said, no,
- 34:20Speaker 4: that's not a joke. There are so many people living
- 34:23Speaker 4: in America with food insecurities. The fact that the US
- 34:26Speaker 4: government is willing to let its own citizens starve is ridiculous.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Said smirked and gave his blessing and said, I do
- 34:35Speaker 4: understand that we're going to joke about everything. So do
- 34:38Speaker 4: you guys send to yourself or do you just love
- 34:41Speaker 4: doing those edgy jokes?
- 34:42Speaker 3: I mean, I censor myself. I'm not messing up, no job,
- 34:47Speaker 3: I got the censor. Well, it's always too soon in
- 34:51Speaker 3: this society.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it is what it is.
- 34:54Speaker 3: It's a new day, okay, all right?
- 34:58Speaker 4: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, a dangerous

- 54:36Speaker 2: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Well, thank you, nephew. Subject hands on your knees here,
- 54:43Speaker 4: Stephen Shirley. I'm writing for help with my wife and
- 54:46Speaker 4: her addiction to screen time. Her need to be up
- 54:50Speaker 4: to date on everything on social media is driving me nuts.
- 54:54Speaker 4: She follows cooking videos and my daughter and I have
- 54:57Speaker 4: to pretend the food is good. I am the cook
- 54:59Speaker 4: of so I can't stand when she's messing around in
- 55:03Speaker 4: the kitchen wasting food and seasoning. There was this cabbage
- 55:07Speaker 4: boil that went viral, and she made the cabbage and
- 55:10Speaker 4: we were in the bathroom for a full two days
- 55:12Speaker 4: trying to get it out of our systems. It did
- 55:15Speaker 4: help me lose a couple of pounds, though. My wife
- 55:18Speaker 4: also gets a lot of romantic advice from people half
- 55:21Speaker 4: our age on the internet, and I can't get into
- 55:25Speaker 4: most of those physicians anyway. I'm forty nine. I have
- 55:29Speaker 4: a belly now, so I can only work with a
- 55:31Speaker 4: few positions nowadays. It's not enjoyable if I'm in pain.
- 55:37Speaker 4: What I am, though, is a good dancer, and I've
- 55:40Speaker 4: been using viral dances as cardio. I can do most
- 55:43Speaker 4: of them, and I go into the garage to do
- 55:46Speaker 4: them so my wife won't try to record me. She
- 55:49Speaker 4: has told me that I'm excluding her from my fun side.
- 55:53Speaker 4: But sometimes I want to be alone and have fun
- 55:55Speaker 4: by myself. So she did something so low down. She
- 56:00Speaker 4: put cameras in the garage and was recording me dancing
- 56:03Speaker 4: over the course of a few days. I'm wearing tattered
- 56:07Speaker 4: clothes and I'm barefoot, living my best life, thinking that
- 56:10Speaker 4: I am dancing alone in the garage. I have my
- 56:13Speaker 4: fan and I was popping that thing like crazy. She
- 56:17Speaker 4: sent the videos of She sent the video of snippets
- 56:21Speaker 4: of me on our family group chat. I was yelling
- 56:24Speaker 4: hands on your knees very loudly on one video. She
- 56:28Speaker 4: plays too much. I will be the butt of my
- 56:31Speaker 4: family jokes forever. How do I get revenge?
- 56:35Speaker 3: Also?
- 56:35Speaker 4: How do I get her to act her age and
- 56:37Speaker 4: stop doing everything that she sees on social media? Excuse me,
- 56:44Speaker 4: you're basically doing the same thing. How do you get
- 56:46Speaker 4: her to act her age. You're the one yelling hands
- 56:49Speaker 4: on your knees while dancing barefoot by yourself in your garage.
- 56:53Speaker 4: I'd say both of you have a little growing to do.
- 56:57Speaker 4: You know you did some viral dances in the garage.
- 57:00Speaker 4: You said that phone and all devices, let's say, can
- 57:03Speaker 4: be bad if it takes valuable time away from what's important.
- 57:07Speaker 4: And what's important, of course, is your spouse and your family.
- 57:10Speaker 4: I mean you were both very distracted and not paying
- 57:13Speaker 4: attention to each other or the marriage right now. Marriage
- 57:17Speaker 4: takes work, It won't fix itself. You guys have your
- 57:19Speaker 4: own separate lives and you're both taking each other for granted.
- 57:24Speaker 4: So I agree with you. Wife, He is addicted to
- 57:26Speaker 4: her phone, and it's not a good look, and it's
- 57:29Speaker 4: time to change some things, or you'll look up one
- 57:31Speaker 4: day and you won't even recognize each other again. You've
- 57:34Speaker 4: been on your screen stuff too, because you said you
- 57:38Speaker 4: saw viral dances. She already told you that you're excluding
- 57:42Speaker 4: her from the fun. That was a good place to
- 57:45Speaker 4: invite her in, but you didn't. So I ask you,
- 57:49Speaker 4: when was the last time you guys went out together?
- 57:52Speaker 4: When was the last time you had a date night?
- 57:54Speaker 4: You like to dance? How about putting on some music,
- 57:56Speaker 4: asking her to dance, or take her out to dinner
- 57:59Speaker 4: instead of eating TikTok meals. You need to figure out
- 58:02Speaker 4: stuff to do where you don't have to have your
- 58:06Speaker 4: phone with you every second of the day and invite
- 58:08Speaker 4: her to join you. You got to catch these issues
- 58:11Speaker 4: while they're still fixable and you're both flexible and open
- 58:14Speaker 4: to these ideas. Don't wait till it's too late, Steve.
- 58:18Speaker 2: This one of them letters that I can put in
- 58:21Speaker 2: the category of I could care.
- 58:25Speaker 1: I know you were going to say that, I mean,
- 58:27Speaker 1: I really what, I don't even I'm not going to
- 58:31Speaker 1: try to help nobody in this letter.
- 58:34Speaker 2: All I have is comments I don't care.
- 58:39Speaker 1: You in your garage with camera, she cooking videos, you
- 58:43Speaker 1: and your daughter out. What's wrong? Ain't nothing wrong?
- 58:50Speaker 6: So what.
- 58:52Speaker 2: All right?
- 58:54Speaker 1: I'm writing to help my wife with her addiction to
- 58:57Speaker 1: screen time. Where you wrote the wrong person because I
- 59:01Speaker 1: don't care nothing about her screen time. All I have
- 59:05Speaker 1: is comment her need to be updated on everything on
- 59:09Speaker 1: social media, driving me nothing.
- 59:13Speaker 2: Once again, let me just say right in here, I
- 59:16Speaker 2: don't care. I do not care.
- 59:19Speaker 3: Okay, let's go.
- 59:20Speaker 1: She follows cooking videos and my daughter and I have
- 59:24Speaker 1: to pretend that the food is good. I'm the cook
- 59:27Speaker 1: in the house, so I can't stand it when she
- 59:29Speaker 1: mess around in the kitchen wasting food that season. I
- 59:33Speaker 1: don't see nothing in this letter, but help them what
- 59:38Speaker 1: I'm trying. Surelene, I'm gonna read the letter. I'm just
- 59:40Speaker 1: see why I can help trying. That was this cabbage
- 59:44Speaker 1: ball that went viol and she made the cabbage and
- 59:46Speaker 1: we was in the bathroom for a full two days. Now,
- 59:49Speaker 1: let me comment right here, I know that video. I
- 59:54Speaker 1: made that cabbage ball.
- 59:56Speaker 8: You you really?
- 59:58Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 59:58Speaker 1: I did it.
- 59:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: You take a whole head of cabbage and you seizon
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: it and then you drop it into grease and you
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: fride or something like yeah something, Well, I can't be
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: what I have my chef do.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Oh, it ain't worth me. Don't even waste you all time?
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: All they do has look good.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: It ain't worth it ain't nothing, it ain't nothing. You
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: need trying now. I ain't go to the bathroom for
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: two days. You had some bad cabbage. Oh okay, it
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: did help me lose a couple of pounds. Though again
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: right here, the fact that you're mentioned of getting rid
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: of excess waste is of no concern to me. All right,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: hang up the rest of the letter. I'm gonna help
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you out.
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: With Okay, good, all right, we'll have part two of
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: your response coming up Steve at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: the hour, Today's Strawberry that are subject. Hands on your knees.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:02:06Speaker 2: I really don't care.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: She got to stay up to date on social media
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: and everything, and it's driving the crazy. She'd be watching
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: all these cooking videos and he don't like that because
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: he the cook in the house and she and he
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: wasting food and seasoning. She did the cabbage boil. She
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: with the cabbage ball that went viral. She made the
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: cabbage and we was in the bathroom for a two
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: full day. Okay, I saw that cabbage ball I made,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I made. I know exactly what they talking about hand
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: my chef making. It wasn't that good. Wasted time, It
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: wouldn't don't even don't even do that, y'all. Now you
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: can't cook because it just looked good. It's like, whoa,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that's a good way to try cabbage, because you know,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I like cabbage. But it ain't nothing, it ain't worth.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Don't do it it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: It did help me lose a couple of pounds. Okay,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: that's impacted. Wasys he talking about now? Talk that is
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: he talking about it? My wife also gets a lot
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: of romantic advice from people half our age on the internet,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: and I can't get into most of those positions anymore.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I'm forty nine and I have a belly. Now dog
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: forty nine and you can't get into positions?
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Boy, I was forty nine.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: Whoa boy?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I was still what?
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Okay, boy, well, let me tell you something.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Forty nine, I don't know what the problem is. Get
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: rid of your stomach. If you got if you a
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: man and you got a stomach that's prohibiting you from
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: getting into sexual positions. You got to get rid of
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: this stomach, because let me tell you what else's stopping
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: you from doing. You cannot sit on the edge of
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the bench and put your socks on. You're finna throw.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: Up, cousin of belly.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, if the belly is stopping sexual positions,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: it's some stuff you cannot do. You can't be walking
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: in public and your shoelace come off on time because
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: now you got to bend over, and then you got
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: to do breathing exercises, and then you got to tie
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: your shoe up in steps because you can't stay down
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: there the whole time and make both bowls and then
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: titan you this man, I am he got to bend over,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: do the criss cross, stand up, breathe, go down, put
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: one loop in, standing back up, breathe again. All right,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: you have got to take the elevator cause these steps
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: to kill you. Hey, forty nine and he can't participate
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: in sex, but anyway, it's not enjoyable.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: If I'm in pain, pain man, you in pain? What
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: am I though? Is a good dancer.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: With that stomach?
- 1:05:13Speaker 7: You ain't?
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I can tell you right now, boy. If you think
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: having sex is hard, dancing with a billy, I've been
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: using viral dancers as cardio. I could do most of
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: them and go into the garage, and and and and
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: do them so my wife won't try to record me.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: She'd have told me, I'm uh including excluding her from
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: my fun side. But sometime I want to be alone
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: and have fun by myself. Every man needs that, every
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: woman needs. You got to have something fun that you
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: go do by yourself. I enjoy fishing alone, completely alone.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Okay, Marjorie and.
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: God into fishing.
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: I think you're over sharing right here, and you don't
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: want to get in trouble though, I be just let
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: the record show I do.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Enjoy fishing with her because she done got good.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I got us some gloves, she could take the hook
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: out the fish mouth way at all that sort of together.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Any Well, he liked to be alone and have fun.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: She did something low down, though. She put cameras in
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: the garage and started recording it while he was dancing.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Over the course of a few days, I'm wearing tattered
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: clothes and I'm barefoot. Now you're just in the garage
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: as a slave. And now you're in there with shirts
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and barefoot. You in there look just like to together. Yeah,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: you got the big dumber hanging over these tatned shorts,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: and you live in your best left thinking, I'm dancing alone.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: I had my fan. I was popping that thing like crazy.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: See right there, pop popping that thing like you crazy?
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: What what thing though? Talking about your stomach?
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: He didn't say he want.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: She sent the video snippets of me to our family
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: group chat. I was yelling hands on your knees loudly.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: She played too much. I'm gonna be the butter family
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: joke forever. How do I get revenge? How do I
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: get her to act her age and stop doing everything
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: that she sees on social media? Ain't neither one of
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: y'all acting y'all age. That's one thing Shirley said. And
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: that's why I don't care about this letter. Thank you
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: for writing us, Thank you for allowing me not to care.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I don't care what you do. Hairs on your knees,

- 1:10:16Speaker 3: Did you pick this with Patriots? Patriots thirty two over
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: the Browns thirteen?
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: God d'all you know.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: You picked the brown.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: All right? You got the Eagles, they beat the Giants
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: thirty eight to twenty. Eagles beat the Giants. Yeah, yeah,

- 1:10:48Speaker 3: Picket picked it, and here we go, Broncos over the
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: Cowboys forty four.

- 1:11:04Speaker 3: to seven, and the Stealers lost to the Package thirty five.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: To twenty five. I missed that one. I thought the Steelers.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: They lost Prston truck. That is your recap. The same
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: with the brown So I I hate Pittsburgh, all right,
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: thank you nephew, thank you, Pitsburb. I hate the Bengals
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: and I hate the Cows.
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: Coming up at the top of the hour, a man
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: is stuck between his ex and his current girlfriend and
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: he needs some help. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So guys, here
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: we go. This is from Preston and Bentonville. Preston says,
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: I had a birthday party and my ex wife crashed
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: my party. She came with my sister. I told my
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: girlfriend that she should be at my sister, not me,
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: but she's mad because I allowed my ex wife to stay.
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: She doesn't understand how mad my ex wife would have
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: been if I made her lead. I don't want to
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: do anything that will jeopardize our good co parenting relationship.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: I know it's not fair to my girlfriend, But how
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: do I get her to understand that my ex wife
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: is evil like that?
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: I think it was foul of your sister to bring
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: your ex Yeah, and she did that to tick off
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: your new girlfriend because she know better.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: Yeah, she know better.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: So if your sister was being real messy and stink
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: like that, now you and Bentonville, So I'm assuming that's office.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Saw all y'all work at Walmart corporate office up there.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: Real nice facility. I've been there. I think Walmart is
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: one of the great corporations in the world today.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: I really really do.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: The management is smart. I love the owners that I've met.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: You know, I'm saying all that in hope that they'll
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: just give me two Walmarts. Maybe you know, something like that,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: trying to help. I'm trying to get a couple of Walmarts.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I'm not really But anyway, dog, here's your problem. I
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: understand what you're saying, but she would have just been mad.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: But I would have asked my sister to take her
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: out of here.
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: Now.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: If your sister ain't gonna do that, but I would
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: at least made that motion to do it, because you're
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: gonna mess up your current relationship trying to hang on
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to your old relationship, and she's using the kids as
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a poem. Yeah, but don't let this old ex, evil
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: woman ruin your relationship with your new girl. Keep her first,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: front and foremost, because don't know, woman want to be
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: second to another one, especially the last one man, your ex. Yeah,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: and then she come to your birthday party crashing. Oh man,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: that's being real messing. Yeah, and all of that was
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: to put it in your current girlfriend's face.
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Yeah. And his sister, you're right, his sister friends.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: With us with the ex friends.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: Yes, well yeah, and.
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: The sisters anti the kids. And so she got a
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: relationship with the mom.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: So she was foul. Yeah, she was past five. Sound
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: like the ex would have everybody at their party, or.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: They try to put it.
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: Sounds like, doesn't it.
- 1:14:57Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: We have time for another one. This is from Letitia
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: in the DMV. Ltitia says, I'm a fifty two year
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: old married woman and I have a younger man on
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: the side that is strictly for sex. He started asking
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: for money and gifts, and I take him on my
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: work trips and I spoil him. When we're together, I
- 1:15:14Speaker 4: usually upgrade our hotel rooms and treat him to a
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: five star dining treat him to five star dining experiences
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: on my corporate card. He knows that I can't give
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: him money or buy gifts for him without my husband
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: noticing it. I need him to calm down. What can
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: I do to keep this young man happy?
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: Why don't you stop seeing him?
- 1:15:35Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: Because see you you don't know how to play this game.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: See you doing it to keep him happy when what
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: he's doing is threatening your happiness.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Right, See, he don't know.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: How to beat He decided he decide peace. So now
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: side piece keyword peace?
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: Oh, I thought by too.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: No word is peace? Oh you only get a peace?
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Oh side mean you over that?
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: Peace?
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Mean how much you get? Why you over that? Just
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: a peace? Okay, that's all he gets?
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: He ain't all that. No way, you can't have nobody
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: thinking he all that?

- 1:22:48Speaker 4: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: this Wednesday Humpday. It's been a great day thanks to
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: our audience as always for right with us. We appreciate you.
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: We love you twenty years now, yes, thank you?
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: All right, all right, hey listen. In closing today, I
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: want to remind you all of something. I was talking
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: with a buddy of mine and he asked me. He said, hey, harb,
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: let me ask you something, man. How many als you?
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Thank you' thene took in your life. When we talk als,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: we mean losses and I said, well, I really can't
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: count them. I done took so many l's. He said,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: was it worth it, because you know we're talking about success.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I said, yeah, man, it was worth it. He said,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: you mean to tell me you would do it all again,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: just the way you did it. I said, well, it
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: would be painful, I say, but I realized that I
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: needed everything that happened to me to happen to me
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: just the way it was. I said, because what really
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: helped me, man, was those ale. He said, what do
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: you mean, I said, because failure is a wonderful teacher.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: You you won't learn anything better than when you fail.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: Failure is a wonderful teacher. And if you start understanding that,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: you can get better and better at it. Because them als,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: I took all those losses. People looked at losses. I
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: looked at them as lessons. See, a loss is really
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: a lesson, and if you start understanding that, it will
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: help you cope with the losses better.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: I didn't always know this. I didn't always know that
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: my ALS was lessons. But somewhere around my late thirties,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I started understanding them als a lot better, and I
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: started realizing that the als was a part of part
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: of the process that them lost. Was it a part
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: of the stepping stones you needed to get to where
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: you were going. My father used to say something to me,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: and I just didn't get it. He say, the best
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: lesson is a bout lesson. He say that to me
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: all the time. Boy, the best lesson is about lesson.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: So one day he was riding from working. I said, Dad,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: when you say that, what do you mean? He said,
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: the best lesson you'll ever get in life is the
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: one you have to buy, the one you pay for.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: That's a bout lesson. And boy, boy, boy, boy, was
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: my daddy right, Lord her Mercy, Lord her Mercy. Have
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: I not learned that lesson? Well, so, y'all, if you
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: would remember that all these als you taking, quit looking
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: at him as losses some of them. You know, it's
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: some losses out here, you know, when you lose a
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: loved one, that's a hard man, that's a hard al
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: to take. But there's some lessons in that. How many
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: times have I heard the words of wisdom that my
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: mother and father have said to me over the years,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: have I heard in their absence? How many times has
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: I heard my mother's voice as I was coming into
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: a meeting or coming out of a meeting. How many
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: times has I heard my mother's voice man when I
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: was in the car, man, really really concerned about a
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: meeting I was going into, or a meeting I was
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: coming out of. How many times have I heard her say,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry about it.
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: If you're gonna worry about it, then don't pray about it.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: How many times have I heard her say that? How
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: many times have I heard my mother say God didn't
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: bring you far to leave you. How do you know
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: how many times that has helped me walking in and
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: out of meetings? Do you know that I have stuck
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: my shoulders back and picked my chin up and got
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: my head up hell high walking in meeting because I
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: knew God didn't bring me this far to leave me.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: That I knew that if God was for me, that
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: God was in that meeting before I got there. And
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: you know what I've really learned to do of late.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: I just learned this over the last year. I stopped
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: worrying about who was in the meetings. I stopped you
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: know what I used to do. I used to have
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: my assistant pull up bios on everybody that was in
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: the meeting. You know that's just smart to do anyway, right,
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: But I used to go over to bios so I
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: could learn stuff about the people in the meetings and
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: then get in there and never use the information or
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: never bring it up. Didn't talk at half the people
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: that I learned all this information on. And now I
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: finally figured out something. If God is for me, me
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: and truly God, my relationship with God is.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: To prosper me.
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: When I go in these meetings, I don't no longer
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: care who in the meeting, because if God goes in
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: there before me, has spoken my name in rooms I
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: know nothing about. When I get in the meeting. You
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: know what I do now, I don't care who in there.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I look for God because if God is before me,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: then I just go in to meet now and I
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: look for God. And whoever God is operating through that day,
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: they will reveal they self to me because I'm looking
