Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / Trump Speech Takeaways from Final Night of RNC
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Let me first start with just talking about how incredible
- 0:07Speaker 1: it was to see Donald Trump on stage and the
- 0:11Speaker 1: reception inside of that arena. I was there for what
- 0:16Speaker 1: I would refer to as a front row seat to history.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I also saw the president in a much smaller setting
- 0:24Speaker 1: right before, about an hour and a half before, no
- 0:28Speaker 1: less than that, thirty minutes before the convention started, and
- 0:31Speaker 1: he went to his seat. And I want to first
- 0:35Speaker 1: start by saying, Donald Trump is a different person right now.
- 0:40Speaker 1: And I want to be clear, I don't mean that
- 0:42Speaker 1: in a bad way. This is something that has happened
- 0:48Speaker 1: because of the shooting and its perspective faith, a demeanor
- 0:54Speaker 1: that is very different. As I watched him speak to
- 0:58Speaker 1: the smaller group in a different tone, in a somber tone,
- 1:03Speaker 1: in a focused tone. I leaned over to cinder Ted Cruz.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I said, he's different. This is different. And if you
- 1:13Speaker 1: watched the first twenty five minutes of the speech that
- 1:17Speaker 1: he gave, he was different. And then he started to
- 1:20Speaker 1: get a little bit of his campaign groove back. There
- 1:24Speaker 1: were people that criticized the speech last night, y it's
- 1:26Speaker 1: too long. And I said this when he gave the speech,
- 1:31Speaker 1: or afterwards, when I was doing commentary on Fox, and
- 1:36Speaker 1: I said, you know, if you got shot five days
- 1:40Speaker 1: ago and survived an assassination attempt, you'd have a lot
- 1:45Speaker 1: to say too. I think I didn't mind it all.
- 1:49Speaker 1: The length of the speech, I as it was described
- 1:54Speaker 1: to me by one and I thought was a great analogy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: The first twenty five thirty minutes was like church on
- 2:00Speaker 1: Easter Sunday. It's a sermon that is to the masses.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It is a sermon to people that maybe only come
- 2:07Speaker 1: to church one time a year, and it's a packed house.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And then the second part of that speech, the long part,
- 2:14Speaker 1: was Sunday school with all the regular attenders. He gave
- 2:19Speaker 1: a clear message to the American people about what this
- 2:23Speaker 1: administration is going to look like, the Trump administration number one,
- 2:28Speaker 1: and why you should take a look at the agenda
- 2:33Speaker 1: that he has laid out and look at your life
- 2:35Speaker 1: and ask yourself questions about safety in this country, safety abroad,
- 2:43Speaker 1: economic issues. These are issues that affect the American people.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Many Americans don't feel safe in their towns anymore, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: the cities they live in, they don't feel like their
- 2:55Speaker 1: government has their back on those issues, and they're prioritizing
- 2:59Speaker 1: I legal immigrants, criminals ahead of them because of radical
- 3:02Speaker 1: das and a wide open southern border. You look at
- 3:06Speaker 1: economic issues, it's very clear that many Americans believe that
- 3:10Speaker 1: bidnomics has truly hurt their family. They's destroyed their purchasing power,
- 3:17Speaker 1: it has destroyed their ability to really focus on a
- 3:23Speaker 1: future that looks brighter, and now it's a future that
- 3:26Speaker 1: just looks like it's survival that has changed. And so
- 3:31Speaker 1: there were so many people, millions of millions that were
- 3:35Speaker 1: going to tune in, not just because they're maybe willing
- 3:38Speaker 1: to give Donald Trump another chance, but also because they
- 3:41Speaker 1: wanted to hear what he had to say about the
- 3:43Speaker 1: assassination attempt on his life and being shot. I think
- 3:49Speaker 1: Donald Trump did an amazing job because most people don't
- 3:53Speaker 1: watch the entire speech. That's just the reality of TV
- 3:57Speaker 1: viewing habits. A lot of people that tuned in that
- 4:00Speaker 1: maybe wouldn't have normally tuned in. They watched ten minutes,
- 4:04Speaker 1: fifteen minutes more than they would have watched normally. They
- 4:06Speaker 1: would have gotten the highlights the next day on social
- 4:09Speaker 1: media on TikTok, on Instagram, on Facebook, etc. On x
- 4:15Speaker 1: they said and listened to a very somber and a
- 4:19Speaker 1: very different president of the United States of America by
- 4:23Speaker 1: the name of Donald Trump. I think many people that
- 4:28Speaker 1: watched this speech were watching out of curiosity to see
- 4:32Speaker 1: what he was going to say, how he was going
- 4:35Speaker 1: to act, but also because they have seen what's been
- 4:38Speaker 1: going on with the Biden campaign day after day. Now
- 4:44Speaker 1: there's a civil war that's broken out in the Democratic Party,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and that makes people want to watch what the other
- 4:49Speaker 1: side is saying and doing. It's human nature. You then
- 4:53Speaker 1: start hearing hours before Donald Trump's going to take the
- 4:59Speaker 1: stage that Joe Biden's probably not going to be the candidate.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Even more people tune in because now this is like
- 5:07Speaker 1: a sporting event. It's like one team screwing up. What's
- 5:11Speaker 1: the other team going to do in response? You combine
- 5:15Speaker 1: all that together, and I think what Donald Trump said
- 5:18Speaker 1: in that first twenty five minutes of a speech was
- 5:22Speaker 1: truly the most important speech that he had ever made.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And then, as many of those people were more than
- 5:32Speaker 1: likely tuning out, he started talking to his bas He
- 5:38Speaker 1: started talking to the faithful conservative voter, evangelical voter. I
- 5:46Speaker 1: think the program last night was phenomenal. I think the
- 5:49Speaker 1: convention was unbelievable. It was the best Republican convention I've
- 5:54Speaker 1: ever seen with a party that is unified, and I
- 5:58Speaker 1: think this is going to be another reason why it's
- 6:00Speaker 1: going to be very hard to beat Donald Trump. The
- 6:04Speaker 1: other big story that is going to have massive ramifications
- 6:12Speaker 1: on this election is the reality that apparently Joe Biden
- 6:18Speaker 1: is starting to understand that he is not going to
- 6:23Speaker 1: be the nominee, that they believe that he doesn't have
- 6:27Speaker 1: a chance to win, and they are convincing him of that.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Reporting coming out now is at the big five families
- 6:34Speaker 1: of the Democratic mafia, the Clintons, the Obama's, the Schumer family,
- 6:38Speaker 1: the Pelosi family, and the new Jeffrey's family on the
- 6:46Speaker 1: House side, leadership of the Democratic Party have all coalesced
- 6:51Speaker 1: with the media and the donors. So that's seven entities
- 6:56Speaker 1: working together to force him out. I've been I'm told
- 7:00Speaker 1: by sources that I trust that Joe Biden is still
- 7:04Speaker 1: holding on because he wants to make sure that he
- 7:08Speaker 1: gets a sweetheart deal, a golden parachute that if he
- 7:12Speaker 1: does come out and say I'm not going to, you know,
- 7:16Speaker 1: be the guy I'm going to finish out this term,
- 7:20Speaker 1: but I'm not going to be the guy that What
- 7:23Speaker 1: actually would happen then is that whoever gets this job,
- 7:29Speaker 1: they're going to agree to give immunity to my family.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Hunter Biden's not going to go to jail, My brother's
- 7:36Speaker 1: not going to go to jail, and I'm not going
- 7:39Speaker 1: to be prosecuted or any other family member. He wants
- 7:44Speaker 1: to guarantee from what I've been told, and I believe
- 7:46Speaker 1: this to be true, that nobody with the last name
- 7:50Speaker 1: Biden is ever going to go to jail because of
- 7:54Speaker 1: the actions of the Biden crime family. And he has
- 7:59Speaker 1: leverage and the Democratic Party is more than willing to
- 8:02Speaker 1: give him that. The question is, because there's going to
- 8:07Speaker 1: have to be a trust factor, do you trust Kamala
- 8:10Speaker 1: Harris to not screw you? Because if Kamala Harris becomes
- 8:15Speaker 1: the president and he decides to step aside and not
- 8:22Speaker 1: take the nomination, he's got to trust that a woman
- 8:25Speaker 1: in his entire career has been basically documented with screwing
- 8:29Speaker 1: the people closest to or no pun intended, is going
- 8:33Speaker 1: to be trustworthy enough to take a hit in the
- 8:39Speaker 1: polls to protect Joe Biden because it's not going to
- 8:44Speaker 1: help Kamala Harris or any other Democrat that becomes the president.
- 8:49Speaker 1: If they did become the president, hypothetically, it's not going
- 8:53Speaker 1: to raise their approval rating if they immediately say, oh,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and by the way, here's all these convictions again, Hunter
- 9:00Speaker 1: or Joe or his brother or anybody else, and we're
- 9:05Speaker 1: giving a blanket immunity, and they're all going to be
- 9:07Speaker 1: all sins of the Biden crime family are forgiven. That
- 9:11Speaker 1: is not good politics. So could you promise that and
- 9:16Speaker 1: not deliver on it? Absolutely? Do I believe that Kama
- 9:20Speaker 1: Harris could lie to the face of Joe Biden. Yes,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I absolutely do, which is the reason why I think
- 9:30Speaker 1: he hasn't dropped out yet. It's the reason why the
- 9:33Speaker 1: family has isolated him. They've isolated him politically, they've isolated
- 9:38Speaker 1: him in the name of COVID. He has gone into
- 9:41Speaker 1: complete and utter hibernation from all reality and the Democratic
- 9:47Speaker 1: Party they know this. So they've got to sweeten the pot.
- 9:51Speaker 1: They've got to figure out a way to convince a senile, paranoid,
- 9:59Speaker 1: all Tzheimer's dementia ridden individual that they can be trustworthy,
- 10:06Speaker 1: trustworthy enough that he can walk away without having the
- 10:10Speaker 1: ability to pardon his son. Because there's nothing to pardon
- 10:13Speaker 1: him for yet because his son, being an idiot, didn't take,
- 10:18Speaker 1: you know, try to take a deal that was too good,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and now is fighting in these court cases instead of
- 10:23Speaker 1: wrapping them up. I understand how hard it is to
- 10:28Speaker 1: deal with someone that has Alzheimer's dementia. If you've ever
- 10:31Speaker 1: dealt with somebody with Alzheimer's dementia, they dig in. They're irrational,
- 10:36Speaker 1: they're not willing to usually compromise on things like, hey,
- 10:40Speaker 1: I need to take away your car keys. Hey, you
- 10:43Speaker 1: don't need to go out alone. Right, You're not going
- 10:46Speaker 1: to tell me that I can't go shopping by myself.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You're not going to tell me I can't drive. They
- 10:50Speaker 1: dig in. So I think you're also dealing with that
- 10:53Speaker 1: aspect of Alzheimer's dementia with this clearly mentally incapacitated individual
- 11:00Speaker 1: and that paranoid individual who believes that now his entire
- 11:04Speaker 1: party with good reason. By the way, I don't think
- 11:07Speaker 1: it's paranoid. I think it's reality has turned on him
- 11:10Speaker 1: and thrown him to the wolves. I've never seen anything
- 11:14Speaker 1: like this in the Democratic Party, where these mafia style families,
- 11:20Speaker 1: the Biden, you know, the Biden's used to be one
- 11:23Speaker 1: of the Big Five. They're not anymore. They're on the outs.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Democratic Party have no need, no use for the Biden family.
- 11:32Speaker 1: In fact, you could argue that if the Biden family
- 11:34Speaker 1: went down for all of their corruption, right, all of
- 11:40Speaker 1: their corruption, that the Democratic Party would actually benefit from
- 11:45Speaker 1: crucifying them, acting like that's not a part of the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Democratic machine. Nancy Pelosi once acted like she's separate from
- 11:55Speaker 1: this corruption. The Clintons and the Obamas won't act like
- 11:59Speaker 1: they're sep of the Biden corruption. The Democratic Party in
- 12:03Speaker 1: general wants to act like they're separate from the Biden corruption.
- 12:08Speaker 1: The members of the House and the Senate and the
- 12:10Speaker 1: Democratic Party don't want to be tied to a man
- 12:14Speaker 1: who is this corrupt. If it's all coming out, So
- 12:19Speaker 1: now you understand why the machine has turned against Joe
- 12:23Speaker 1: Biden is in essence, kicking him out of the White
- 12:26Speaker 1: House and out of the Democratic monarchy is probably the
- 12:33Speaker 1: best way I can describe it. A guy that's been
- 12:34Speaker 1: there for forty plus years is now being fed to
- 12:36Speaker 1: the political wolves. The media, by the way, they're all
- 12:41Speaker 1: on board with this. Every single member of the media
- 12:48Speaker 1: in the Democratic you know, media, however you want to
- 12:51Speaker 1: describe them, every single one of them, every single one
- 12:59Speaker 1: of them is throwing Joe Biden under the bus. They
- 13:04Speaker 1: want to get rid of him. Even his own cabinet
- 13:09Speaker 1: is throwing Joe Biden out. They're leaking everywhere his staffers
- 13:16Speaker 1: within the White House, and they're almost trying to manifest
- 13:20Speaker 1: destiny this. I think they think if they say it
- 13:22Speaker 1: loud enough, say it often enough, leak it enough times
- 13:27Speaker 1: where the fever pitch continues to grow, that Joe Biden's
- 13:30Speaker 1: going to drop out, Joe Biden's going to drop out,
- 13:32Speaker 1: they can somehow turn that leak into a reality, which
- 13:36Speaker 1: which is a moment of caution as well. Joe Biden
- 13:41Speaker 1: could just say screw all y'all. None of you are loyal,
- 13:46Speaker 1: You're all scum, and if I'm going down, you're all
- 13:49Speaker 1: going down with me. In other words, all of you
- 13:52Speaker 1: in the party are gonna you know, I'm gonna hurt
- 13:55Speaker 1: all of you while you're hurting me. This is going
- 14:00Speaker 1: to be the biggest political story going into the Democratic Convention,
- 14:06Speaker 1: and the fact that it's August and we still may
- 14:11Speaker 1: not know who Donald Trump's running against is completely and
- 14:14Speaker 1: utterly insane. It has been a very interesting week in
- 14:21Speaker 1: the political world. It is a week that I was
- 14:24Speaker 1: sitting on set at Fox News Channel last night as
- 14:29Speaker 1: the President's speech ended, and I'm like, can we just
- 14:31Speaker 1: take a moment and just think about what all has happened.
- 14:36Speaker 1: We've had a disastrous president of debate that then called
- 14:39Speaker 1: for the Democratic Party to demand that their candidate stepped down.
- 14:46Speaker 1: We then had an assassination attempt less than a week ago.
- 14:52Speaker 1: We then had a Vice President of the United States
- 14:55Speaker 1: of America who was selected, then had have the news
- 15:01Speaker 1: that there's a very very good chance that Joe Biden's
- 15:04Speaker 1: going to step down as president. And then we have
- 15:08Speaker 1: the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump,
- 15:11Speaker 1: take the stage to accept the Republican nomination. On top
- 15:15Speaker 1: of the fact that we also have a Secret Service
- 15:19Speaker 1: director defies logic and the facts about what happened with
- 15:27Speaker 1: the assassination tempt on the President of the United States,
- 15:31Speaker 1: former President Donald Trump, and still has her job. That's
- 15:37Speaker 1: all in like days of one another. Joining me now
- 15:42Speaker 1: to talk about this is Senator Marshall Blackburn, who was
- 15:47Speaker 1: on that Senator's Only call that I have heard a
- 15:51Speaker 1: lot about. You heard about it in the last hour
- 15:52Speaker 1: with Senator Cruz and a call that was maybe one
- 15:56Speaker 1: of the most BS calls I've ever heard about, where
- 16:00Speaker 1: they were said you could ask questions, please hit a
- 16:03Speaker 1: number and you're in Q. No real conservatives got to
- 16:07Speaker 1: ask questions on that call, And so senators at the
- 16:11Speaker 1: Republican Convention took matters in their own hand. And the
- 16:15Speaker 1: Secret Service Director was at the convention, and in a
- 16:19Speaker 1: very very amazing, awesome turn of events, senators decided, Okay,
- 16:25Speaker 1: we're gonna start asking questions here and now since you
- 16:27Speaker 1: wouldn't answer our questions on the call, Senator you and
- 16:31Speaker 1: the video of you asking questions of the Secret Service
- 16:35Speaker 1: director has gone viral as it should have one. How
- 16:39Speaker 1: did you guys find out she was at the convention
- 16:42Speaker 1: and we're able to check her down to then ask
- 16:45Speaker 1: her questions which she refused to answer in a shocking
- 16:49Speaker 1: display of just total screw you guys, You're just senators.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm in the Biden administration. I don't have to answer you.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Well, good morn then, and yes, it was really quite
- 17:03Speaker 2: an odd turn of events. And I had gone into
- 17:07Speaker 2: the suite where Susie Wiles and Trump's team was. They
- 17:13Speaker 2: had invited me to come in, and I told Susie,
- 17:16Speaker 2: I said, you know, I want to just tell you
- 17:18Speaker 2: about this call and what we heard, because many of
- 17:24Speaker 2: us were in the queue, and of course those of
- 17:27Speaker 2: us are conservatives in the Senate, Ted Mike Lee, Rick Scott,
- 17:32Speaker 2: several of us were on the text thread and I said,
- 17:37Speaker 2: they're saying.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Nobody else is in the queue. I'm in the queue,
- 17:40Speaker 3: and then others started saying, so am I so in
- 17:44Speaker 3: and we realized they were cutting the call off, and we.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Had questions because the director and her deputy and FBI
- 17:56Speaker 2: Director Ray and his deputy had been on the call
- 18:00Speaker 2: and they were providing us timeline information. So we work
- 18:06Speaker 2: through that. I go up to the suite. I'm talking
- 18:11Speaker 2: to some of Trump's team and someone says, well, the
- 18:16Speaker 2: Secret Service director is here in the building and in
- 18:21Speaker 2: a suite, and I had just seen seen John Barrosso.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I knew he had also been in the queue and
- 18:29Speaker 2: couldn't get his question in. So Barrosso and then Kramer
- 18:34Speaker 2: and Langford came by and we said, well, let's just
- 18:37Speaker 2: go ask her if she will give us an answers announcence.
- 18:41Speaker 2: We got cut off, and of course that's the video
- 18:45Speaker 2: that so many people have seen. We went into this suite,
- 18:48Speaker 2: We introduced ourselves and asked if she would take a
- 18:52Speaker 2: minute and answer the questions. She did not want to
- 18:56Speaker 2: do that. We laid out our questions and she said, well,
- 19:02Speaker 2: now it's not the time and place. I offered that
- 19:06Speaker 2: We moved to a quiet place we knew where there
- 19:09Speaker 2: was a private space the floor below us. We could
- 19:12Speaker 2: have visited and gotten some answers, because the American people
- 19:17Speaker 2: want to know. We want to know things we're hearing
- 19:20Speaker 2: on social media. What is true and false? The timeline?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Why did you find a suspicious person, loose track of them,
- 19:29Speaker 2: find them again, identify the person as a potential threat,
- 19:34Speaker 2: then allowed the president to go on stage knowing you
- 19:39Speaker 2: had a potential threat. Why would you do that? You know, Ben,
- 19:44Speaker 2: It is questions like that, was this something that was
- 19:50Speaker 2: a mistake and a myth in the advance plan, in
- 19:57Speaker 2: the operational plan? What is the problem here? Because the
- 20:02Speaker 2: Secret Service has one job, and that job is to
- 20:07Speaker 2: protect their protectee, and we would not want this to
- 20:12Speaker 2: happen to anyone that they are there to protect. And
- 20:17Speaker 2: of course we had found out after the assassination attempt
- 20:23Speaker 2: that there was also the Iranian threat on President Trump.
- 20:29Speaker 1: So let's pause there. Will you explained for people? Let
- 20:36Speaker 1: me ask you this, Will you explain the Iranian threat
- 20:38Speaker 1: real quick? Because it has not been explained well by
- 20:41Speaker 1: the media because obviously the attack overshadowed the Iranian threat.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Can you bring listeners up to date on what the
- 20:52Speaker 1: Iranian threat was so that people understand how significant that
- 20:56Speaker 1: was stand alone from any other threat and the shoot
- 21:00Speaker 1: that tried to assassinate Trump on Saturday.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Yes, and what we had heard. We don't have all
- 21:07Speaker 2: the detail yet, but from others that the Iranian government
- 21:14Speaker 2: has supposedly hired or is trying to assassinate you know,
- 21:22Speaker 2: we've all heard Secretary Pompeo they are after him and
- 21:29Speaker 2: this is all retribution from what we hear and know
- 21:33Speaker 2: so far. And again there Ben, we don't have a
- 21:36Speaker 2: lot of the detail on this, but it has to
- 21:39Speaker 2: do with a sola money and his exec his killing
- 21:46Speaker 2: and him being taken out, and these are actions you
- 21:54Speaker 2: can't allow somebody to be walking around when you know
- 21:58Speaker 2: there is that kind of threat. But we wanted to
- 22:03Speaker 2: get more detailed. We had questions, We have answers that
- 22:07Speaker 2: are owed to the American people. They want to know.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I hear from tennesseean's every single day, every single day,
- 22:16Speaker 2: wanting to know what really has transpired, Who is really
- 22:22Speaker 2: in charge? Why would they have allowed President Trunk to
- 22:26Speaker 2: go on that stage? Why did they not play a
- 22:29Speaker 2: few more minutes of music, put him in a car
- 22:34Speaker 2: shield and protect him. And the fact that all of
- 22:39Speaker 2: these thousands of people were put in danger, and of
- 22:44Speaker 2: course we have one dead too, still severely injured from Saturday,
- 22:56Speaker 2: why would they have allowed these people to be in
- 22:58Speaker 2: harm's way. I've heard from so many Tennesseeans who have said, Marshall,
- 23:04Speaker 2: what about public events? And I've got friends who are
- 23:07Speaker 2: Democrats who want to go to political rallies, but they're saying,
- 23:13Speaker 2: who's doing the security on these rallies? Who's the doing
- 23:18Speaker 2: security on public events? And it causes that fear, and
- 23:24Speaker 2: it causes questioning, and it causes people to say, hey,
- 23:29Speaker 2: wait a minute, the Secret Service let somebody get within
- 23:34Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty yards of the former president with
- 23:41Speaker 2: a clear line of sight. They are just astounded that
- 23:46Speaker 2: this actually transpired.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Let me ask you this because I said this last
- 23:52Speaker 1: night on post debate or or post convention, I should
- 23:56Speaker 1: say recap is what does it take to get fired
- 24:01Speaker 1: from your job? And the Biden administration, I mean a
- 24:05Speaker 1: colossal screw up where you give excuses that the slope
- 24:10Speaker 1: was too dangerous for the Secret Service, even though the
- 24:13Speaker 1: slope of the roof the shooter was shooting from was
- 24:15Speaker 1: the same exact damn slope as the is the cyper
- 24:19Speaker 1: team that took him out was on. The excuses have
- 24:23Speaker 1: been I think disgusting to the American people, and the
- 24:29Speaker 1: lack of just accountability and oversight from this administration when
- 24:35Speaker 1: you guys have questions is also disgusting. But like, what
- 24:39Speaker 1: does it take to get fired? The President United States
- 24:42Speaker 1: of America at the end of the day, at the
- 24:44Speaker 1: bare minimum, just talking about facts, got shot from one
- 24:49Speaker 1: hundred and sixty yards away, which is less than two
- 24:52Speaker 1: tenths of what the cyper team's train out to protect
- 24:56Speaker 1: the president at public events from a rooftop with a
- 25:00Speaker 1: direct line of sight, and had a subject that they
- 25:04Speaker 1: then knew was out there and couldn't find them, and
- 25:07Speaker 1: still put a present on stage. If that doesn't get
- 25:10Speaker 1: you fired, center, is there anything that you can do
- 25:15Speaker 1: in this administration to get fired?
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't think there's anything. They don't fire people. They
- 25:23Speaker 2: moved them around, and they elevate them. And when you
- 25:27Speaker 2: look at this and the fact that they knew an
- 25:30Speaker 2: hour out they had a suspect. At five point fifty one,
- 25:34Speaker 2: they identified the suspect as a potential threat. That was
- 25:38Speaker 2: after they lost him and found him again. And then
- 25:43Speaker 2: at five point fifty three the sharpshooters were notified. And
- 25:47Speaker 2: then they still put Donald Trump on the stage at
- 25:50Speaker 2: six o'clock and allowed him to be on that stage
- 25:55Speaker 2: knowing there was that potential threat. I don't no. You know,
- 26:00Speaker 2: Joe Biden should have called her in that Saturday night
- 26:03Speaker 2: and said you're fired, and you've got to turn over
- 26:06Speaker 2: everything you know, and you've got to explain this, and
- 26:10Speaker 2: you've got to explain this agency. If I were Joe Biden,
- 26:14Speaker 2: for my own protection, I would want to know those answers.
- 26:18Speaker 2: But you know, then, the thing is when she said
- 26:22Speaker 2: she would not answer our question, she didn't think it
- 26:24Speaker 2: was the time and place. You have to say, when
- 26:27Speaker 2: is the time and place? When is the time and
- 26:29Speaker 2: place to give the American people their answers? And she
- 26:33Speaker 2: said I'm leaving them. Well, you know, what there are
- 26:36Speaker 2: a lot of people that wanted to know they were
- 26:39Speaker 2: in a safe and secure environment. And then when she
- 26:43Speaker 2: started to run from Hunt, when she started to run
- 26:48Speaker 2: from Punt, you know, it was just astounding. You know,
- 26:52Speaker 2: she should have planted her feet and said, yes, let's
- 26:55Speaker 2: step to the side, let me answer your questions. We
- 26:58Speaker 2: do have to get to the bottom of this. But
- 27:01Speaker 2: she did not do that. She chose to run.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Well, last question for you, and it just shows I
- 27:07Speaker 1: think the chaos that is around this administration. Even today,
- 27:14Speaker 1: as we wrap up the convention, you get word that
- 27:18Speaker 1: all flights grounded for American Delta United due to a
- 27:21Speaker 1: global IT outage. And we're not going to get an
- 27:25Speaker 1: answer from this administration, a straight answer, even on things
- 27:29Speaker 1: like that. There is no trust in our government right
- 27:31Speaker 1: now when it comes to safety or security. Now, to
- 27:35Speaker 1: be clear, this to be private, we don't know. But
- 27:38Speaker 1: do I trust this administration to tell me the truth
- 27:40Speaker 1: if it's a hacking? Do I trust them when it
- 27:43Speaker 1: comes to protecting the president? Do I trust them when
- 27:46Speaker 1: they tell me about the health of the President of
- 27:47Speaker 1: United States of America. The answer is on all of
- 27:50Speaker 1: these different issues that are completely separate, I don't trust
- 27:53Speaker 1: our government. I don't trust the FBI to do the investigation.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I don't trust the FBI to tell me a straight
- 28:01Speaker 1: answer as they're doing this investigation on the assassination attempt.
- 28:04Speaker 1: And it's because so many different fronts we've been lied to.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Do you have any faith in the leadership in these
- 28:14Speaker 1: different areas within our government? Because the American people, I think,
- 28:18Speaker 1: say whatever they're telling us, we assume they're lying to
- 28:21Speaker 1: us now, even on non political issues, whether it's an
- 28:24Speaker 1: IT outage at the airport or whether it's an assassination
- 28:28Speaker 1: attempt on the President of the United States, And.
- 28:32Speaker 2: You've just hit on it. This administration, their priority is
- 28:38Speaker 2: not the people. It is power that they want to control.
- 28:43Speaker 2: And when you look at this Secret Service director who
- 28:48Speaker 2: to she came to the convention to hold a cocktail
- 28:51Speaker 2: party in a luxury suite to thank the security partners.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So donors were more important to her than a group
- 29:02Speaker 2: of four senators saying we're glad you're here. Could we
- 29:06Speaker 2: have five minutes of your time to get answers for
- 29:10Speaker 2: the people that pay your salary and people wanting to
- 29:15Speaker 2: know these answers. Now, think about that she is in
- 29:19Speaker 2: a luxury suite. She wanted us to leave so that
- 29:23Speaker 2: she could continue the evening and not disrupt the evening
- 29:28Speaker 2: for the partners. Everybody there should have wanted and probably
- 29:32Speaker 2: wanted to know what happened in Pennsylvania, that you could
- 29:38Speaker 2: have that snipe, that assassin that close to the president.
- 29:44Speaker 2: But this administration, it is all about power, It is
- 29:48Speaker 2: all about control. It is about the elites. It is
- 29:52Speaker 2: not about the people. And then I think that's why
- 29:55Speaker 2: the American people do not trust in the leadership of
- 30:02Speaker 2: these institutions, not the rank and file, but the leadership,
- 30:07Speaker 2: because they all have a political agenda aimen to that center.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Always a pleasure. Be safe on the road. I know
- 30:15Speaker 1: everybody's trying to get out and the flights are crazy.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Thanks for coming on and I'm sure we'll talk to
- 30:19Speaker 1: you again real soon.
- 30:20Speaker 2: You got it. Take care bye, buy now, make.
