- 0:03Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know, y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back to back down, giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: more like theming buck things in the cubs. Y'all good it, Steh,
- 0:23Speaker 1: listen to the movie together for Studley. I don't joy
- 0:43Speaker 1: by join me in doing me. Honey, you gotta turn,
- 1:10Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn, got to turn out, then
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water go. Come come on your back.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Uh huh, I sure will. A good morning everybody. You
- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, come on dig me now
- 2:08Speaker 1: wanted only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: oh man? How good is God to me? And part
- 2:16Speaker 1: of the mission and the reason that I have a
- 2:18Speaker 1: radio show is to become a share of more and
- 2:23Speaker 1: more of a share of you know. I used to
- 2:26Speaker 1: hear my mother say it to me all the time.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But God blesses you to become a blessing. And I
- 2:31Speaker 1: think the more you understand that about yourself, I think
- 2:34Speaker 1: the more blessings will flow your way. I think that
- 2:37Speaker 1: once you understand the principle that you know. But it's
- 2:42Speaker 1: kind of tied together with some other scriptures, and I'm
- 2:44Speaker 1: not too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual. But
- 2:48Speaker 1: I do know what I've heard you know, and you
- 2:52Speaker 1: know if you look at something simple as do unto
- 2:54Speaker 1: others as you would have them do unto you, wouldn't
- 2:58Speaker 1: you want somebody to help you if you need help.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I just know how to get it down there to
- 3:03Speaker 1: where I've been able to understand it. If if there's
- 3:08Speaker 1: a scripture similar that it says do unto others as
- 3:11Speaker 1: you would have them do unto you, or if that's
- 3:16Speaker 1: you know, in a prayer, would not you want somebody
- 3:20Speaker 1: to help you if you needed help? You've heard you
- 3:26Speaker 1: reap what you sow. Do you understand that if you
- 3:31Speaker 1: so discord, that discord is gonna come your way. That
- 3:36Speaker 1: if you hate, hate gonna come your way. If you
- 3:39Speaker 1: blog nothing but negative comments about people, your life will
- 3:43Speaker 1: be filled with negativity. If all you do is talk
- 3:47Speaker 1: about people, then guess what somebody got to turn that
- 3:50Speaker 1: gun around and talk about you. See, it just stands
- 3:55Speaker 1: to reasons. So what I've learned in my life and
- 3:58Speaker 1: through all the trials and tribulations that I've had, is
- 4:02Speaker 1: to take those lessons and share them with people in
- 4:06Speaker 1: case you ain't heard it from somebody else. See sometimes
- 4:10Speaker 1: and The reason it seems like I'm redundant at times
- 4:14Speaker 1: is what I am is because I'm always trying to
- 4:17Speaker 1: find a different way to say the same thing. Because
- 4:20Speaker 1: it's a funny thing. Man, You got to hear it
- 4:23Speaker 1: a certain way for it to click with you. How
- 4:27Speaker 1: many times have I heard a saying and then I
- 4:31Speaker 1: heard it a different way that it clicked with me?
- 4:37Speaker 1: You know, I've heard of this saying right here, remember
- 4:41Speaker 1: this now, everybody's not happy for you. We've all heard that, right,
- 4:45Speaker 1: everybody's not happy for you. Well, that's very simple that
- 4:50Speaker 1: I don't need no explanation. That simply means of all
- 4:54Speaker 1: the people you know or do not know, when something
- 4:57Speaker 1: happens to you and you celebrating it, everybody's not going
- 5:01Speaker 1: to join in on the celebration. That's all that is.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But then you take it one step further. My father
- 5:07Speaker 1: used to say something to me all the time. He says, son,
- 5:10Speaker 1: everybody come with you, can't go with you. I didn't
- 5:13Speaker 1: get that when I was fifteen. Everybody come with you
- 5:15Speaker 1: can't go with you. He said, you're gonna lose some
- 5:17Speaker 1: of these friends you got along the way. But I
- 5:20Speaker 1: don't care where you get in life. No, this right here,
- 5:25Speaker 1: everybody can't go with you. If you are constantly trying
- 5:28Speaker 1: to improve yourself, you constantly have to take assessment of
- 5:31Speaker 1: the people around you. Because if you are going to
- 5:35Speaker 1: continue to go and continue to grow, then guess what
- 5:38Speaker 1: you got to have people that's on the goal and
- 5:41Speaker 1: willing to grow, or else guess what you're gonna learn
- 5:47Speaker 1: the valuable lesson. You know, the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I was talking with Butch Lewis one time, and man
- 5:54Speaker 1: with a good brother man, he say, every successful man,
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's doing what I call he got rope work to do.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He got rope work to do. He got to put
- 6:05Speaker 1: in work on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to
- 6:08Speaker 1: Butch Lewis and all the money he had made and
- 6:11Speaker 1: all the people's lives he had changed, and all of
- 6:13Speaker 1: the moves he was making, and his incredible skills as
- 6:16Speaker 1: a negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He was just an amazing man with no education. But
- 6:24Speaker 1: he read everything. He Butch Lewis read all that, all
- 6:27Speaker 1: the papers, all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you got to put in rope, And I was sitting
- 6:34Speaker 1: there listening. He said, here's the analogy, little brother. He said,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you are on rope. There's a thick rope. You have
- 6:41Speaker 1: on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes. You
- 6:45Speaker 1: have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off just
- 6:49Speaker 1: below the knee, and they tattered, and you got dirt
- 6:52Speaker 1: on you and you're sweating. There's this huge, huge raw
- 6:56Speaker 1: rope over your shoulder that's burn marks on all of
- 6:59Speaker 1: your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon. That
- 7:03Speaker 1: wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 7:09Speaker 1: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 7:13Speaker 1: your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: all on that wagon. Man, they're just sitting there. He's saying,
- 7:23Speaker 1: what you gotta do is you gotta pull that wagon
- 7:25Speaker 1: up the heel. Now. The only thing with it is,
- 7:28Speaker 1: can't nobody help you pull your wagon. You pull your
- 7:31Speaker 1: wagon alone. He saying, Now, what you can do along
- 7:35Speaker 1: the way of pulling your wagon, as you can find
- 7:38Speaker 1: yourself a good wife, a good woman. He's saying that
- 7:41Speaker 1: what that woman does is she get down off the wagon.
- 7:44Speaker 1: She fan you while you pull it. She put water
- 7:47Speaker 1: on you while you pull it. She puts stuff in
- 7:49Speaker 1: your mouth while you pull it. She kicked rocks out
- 7:52Speaker 1: the way while you pull it. But she but she
- 7:55Speaker 1: pull it for you. But she is equally as important
- 7:57Speaker 1: as you are on the pull of the He said,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you hear me clearly now, young soldier. He said, NA
- 8:03Speaker 1: get this hill. He says, people on your wagon that
- 8:06Speaker 1: you're responsible for. But you want the people on your
- 8:10Speaker 1: wagon to help you get your wagon to the top.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So what you hope is that they got their foot
- 8:15Speaker 1: hanging over the side pushing, They got one leg over
- 8:19Speaker 1: the back, or maybe both legs over the back pushing.
- 8:22Speaker 1: They got they might have their butt on the wagon,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but they push you with both legs. They're back facing
- 8:27Speaker 1: your back, maybe some of them facing you when one
- 8:30Speaker 1: of them got left leg hanging over trying to push.
- 8:32Speaker 1: And you hope that all the people on the wagon
- 8:35Speaker 1: you pulling is back there at least trying to help
- 8:38Speaker 1: the wagon get to the top of the hill. Here
- 8:40Speaker 1: goes your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing, everybody ain't pulling,
- 8:45Speaker 1: ain't bar everybody ain't pulling, Everybody ain't kicking rocks out
- 8:48Speaker 1: the way. You got some people on your wagon. That's
- 8:51Speaker 1: just laying on the wagon, drinking lemonade, looking at you,
- 8:56Speaker 1: talking about how long it's taking you to get your
- 8:58Speaker 1: wagon up to the top. Can get you? Tell my
- 9:00Speaker 1: whitest wagon, so slow. Then when you start picking up
- 9:04Speaker 1: picking up speed, they want you to pull harder, you
- 9:07Speaker 1: to pull faster, you to pull mole. Then they want
- 9:10Speaker 1: you to throw what you then earned on the way
- 9:12Speaker 1: up the hill backed on the wagon so they can
- 9:15Speaker 1: have MO. But guess what, they ain't helping you get more.
- 9:17Speaker 1: But they got a sense of entitlement that since you
- 9:20Speaker 1: got mold, they should have MO. Everybody come with you
- 9:24Speaker 1: can't go with you. Sometimes you gotta kick the people
- 9:27Speaker 1: off the wagon that ain't pushing and pull it and say,
- 9:30Speaker 1: hey man, I'm sorry. I thought I could do this
- 9:33Speaker 1: with you, and I thought you was going with me.
- 9:35Speaker 1: But it's clear to me you ain't nothing but dead weight,
- 9:38Speaker 1: and it ain't my responsibility to carry dead weight anymore.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I have carried you as long as I have to
- 9:43Speaker 1: carry you. You are no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible
- 9:48Speaker 1: for my family, my wife, my children. I'm not responsible
- 9:51Speaker 1: for you. You got to get off my wagon because
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm a man on rope. I'm on a mission. Baby,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm pulling. You're listening to show people. People get ready,
- 10:06Speaker 1: there's a change of coming. Uh, that's not how I
- 10:11Speaker 1: want to start the show. Good morning everybody. I just
- 10:15Speaker 1: thought I stopped that for it went too far down
- 10:17Speaker 1: the dog hole. Yep. Sounded like that wasn't gonna going
- 10:20Speaker 1: on West step all this problems. Sometimes you just gotta
- 10:23Speaker 1: do what it is you do. Just say hi to everybody.
- 10:26Speaker 1: You're always trying to change something. Just stupid on himself. Wow,
- 10:37Speaker 1: or maybe he's psychic. They started tweeting that, Yeah, Hey,
- 10:44Speaker 1: good morning Steve, morning calling for real. Good morning Steve.
- 10:48Speaker 1: How are you the one that only killed you in
- 10:49Speaker 1: your space? Morning up, ladies and gentlemen. Thomas W. Miles
- 10:55Speaker 1: the second your top of the morning. Yeah, going on
- 11:00Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey everything everything you know? Wind, it was win.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Do you know what to day is? Man? I think
- 11:11Speaker 1: it to a commercial one the Guy Code when they
- 11:13Speaker 1: had a contest the best commercials the camel commercial one.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike just irritated. Yea,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and Steve talked about his knees are knock kneeded the
- 11:29Speaker 1: camel on walking like my sister, I didn't even notice that. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: frame knock. That was such a good Donald Trump do yesterday?
- 11:48Speaker 1: What this dude he did? He put on Yeah, I know,
- 11:53Speaker 1: he put out a tweet. What what did they call? Is?
- 11:56Speaker 1: He called crying Chuck Schumer? And then he goes, wow,
- 12:01Speaker 1: what a creep? I mean, he tweets this, he's the president.
- 12:05Speaker 1: He's calling the House speaker. He called it a guy,
- 12:10Speaker 1: just a creep. I mean, in a tweet, you take
- 12:13Speaker 1: the time to name calling from the president and you
- 12:16Speaker 1: and you know what we do. State lives on the
- 12:19Speaker 1: internet forever, so imagine the president. This is history forever.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It goes into the presidential record. This is I mean, seriously, man,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I hope we never ever do this again. The flag
- 12:33Speaker 1: are the fly half mask. The rest of the time,
- 12:36Speaker 1: he is there because he killing us. Now he killing us?
- 12:40Speaker 1: I mean he really isn't Joe Tommy for real? Well,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I mean, you know, we're gonna have four more years
- 12:48Speaker 1: if we don't get a proper candidate. Yeah, six, Well
- 12:54Speaker 1: it's two and a half now, right, I mean after
- 12:57Speaker 1: the election next year? Yeah next hit, So it's been
- 13:01Speaker 1: three Yeah, he got elected in twenty thirteen. Twenty twenty
- 13:06Speaker 1: is the next election. Yeah, yeah, so you know, yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: we gotta get And I'm gonna be honest with you, man,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I don't like the way the Democrats look right now.
- 13:18Speaker 1: It's just not a it's not a winning. Look. We
- 13:22Speaker 1: look all over the place. We don't even we don't
- 13:24Speaker 1: even have nothing. We're running on true we have a platform, Yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: we look. You know, we just got people up there,
- 13:33Speaker 1: that's what we got. Yeah. Ready to debate? Yeah, all right.
- 13:38Speaker 1: We're coming back at thirty two after the Hour with
- 13:41Speaker 1: Asked Steve. Steve right after this you're listening to show
- 13:47Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, Earthquake. Earthquake
- 13:51Speaker 1: will be our special guest. That's right right now, it
- 13:55Speaker 1: is time for Steve's favorite segment. It's called Asked Steve,
- 13:59Speaker 1: where we do rapid fire questions. Are you ready, Steve? Yeah, surely,
- 14:04Speaker 1: I know. Keep your answer, keep your answer short. Okay,
- 14:08Speaker 1: all right, here we go. How would you describe your
- 14:10Speaker 1: life in one sentence? Sentence? It has been an amazing journey.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I like that. Okay, it has been an amazing journey.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I like it. Okay, okay, okay, I got one. What
- 14:26Speaker 1: it's something you want to tell your significant other, but
- 14:31Speaker 1: are afraid that you find out your break up or devoce? Oh,
- 14:39Speaker 1: I know the answer to that. I'm saying that I don't.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I don't know why ahead they give me that because no, no,
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'm not giving that. That'll be all over the internet.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Harvey wants to Oh, no, great question, but good question.
- 15:03Speaker 1: The question. Yeah, I'm not walking into that body. Well,
- 15:10Speaker 1: maybe you can answer this one, Steve. All right, here's
- 15:13Speaker 1: a question. What is the most surprising thing you've accidentally
- 15:18Speaker 1: overheard about yourself? He doesn't forget anything anything, you know,
- 15:24Speaker 1: he observes things all the time. I don't know, man,
- 15:28Speaker 1: I've heard surprising things. The most surprising thing. One of
- 15:34Speaker 1: the most surprising things was a little boy who came
- 15:39Speaker 1: up to me at the Wearable Gala just this past weekend.
- 15:42Speaker 1: This is my most recent surprising thing. He's the keynote
- 15:47Speaker 1: speaker at the camp this Sunday. He mentoring camp. Yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 1: he came to my camp h eight years ago, came
- 16:00Speaker 1: up to me and told me, mister Harvey, your camp
- 16:03Speaker 1: changed my life. I was called to the ministry that
- 16:07Speaker 1: night after listening to you. I'm a minister and I'm
- 16:11Speaker 1: preaching at the camp for the closing remarks on this Sunday.
- 16:16Speaker 1: That was pretty surprising to me because I don't know
- 16:21Speaker 1: what I said into a virtual many kids. I didn't
- 16:28Speaker 1: cut down down. That's tough love, A really big surprise. Wow. Okay, okay, right, junior,
- 16:40Speaker 1: all right up, all right? What is something you did
- 16:43Speaker 1: when you were younger that could have killed you but
- 16:46Speaker 1: you were too young to realize? I got a bunch
- 16:52Speaker 1: of them. One time, my brother's convinced me and my
- 16:56Speaker 1: nephew to paint. My father had bought this catch strap
- 17:00Speaker 1: home that we got whippings with and he kept it
- 17:03Speaker 1: on the hook right over his rock and chill. My
- 17:05Speaker 1: brother told me and my dumbass nephew, if you painted
- 17:08Speaker 1: white and hanging back on that hook, he ain't gonna
- 17:10Speaker 1: know it because they bled inn with the wall. We
- 17:14Speaker 1: painted it, and what happened right there? We almost got killed.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Also another one was when it snowed outside, we would
- 17:31Speaker 1: hide behind the cars at the corner, whichever cars and
- 17:35Speaker 1: he high and when the car pulled off, you know,
- 17:37Speaker 1: they pulled off slow because our street with brick and
- 17:40Speaker 1: they didn't want to spend, so they would pull off slow.
- 17:43Speaker 1: If they pulled off slow. We would run squat down
- 17:45Speaker 1: behind the grab, holding to the fender and ski all
- 17:48Speaker 1: the way. Yeah yeah, yeah man. So one time I
- 17:58Speaker 1: was feeling and slipped and failed and my glove got
- 18:03Speaker 1: caught on some hook inside demands fender. So now I've
- 18:09Speaker 1: slipped and failed and my glove got hooked on it.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Now I'm skinny, So this this just dragging my hands
- 18:15Speaker 1: down the street. I ain't skiing no more. I'm just
- 18:18Speaker 1: getting drugged. I drug all the way down the street
- 18:20Speaker 1: to it got to the corner. Wow. Yeah, I've almost
- 18:25Speaker 1: killed myself a bunch of time. All right, let me
- 18:27Speaker 1: intercheckt right here, Steve Um, I asked you at the beginning,
- 18:30Speaker 1: please try to keep your answers as short astod so
- 18:35Speaker 1: we can get to as many questions as possible. We
- 18:37Speaker 1: couldn't be with another question without that statement, What do
- 18:43Speaker 1: you do? Steve? What did you do as a kid,
- 18:46Speaker 1: as a young man? I should say to impress the ladies.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Nothing that's short enough for you. I'm trying to get
- 18:56Speaker 1: a lot of I was a cool little dude, man.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I had a lot of game, you know, So what'd
- 19:00Speaker 1: you do? I didn't. I wasn't when I was young.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It wasn't working, but I thought I had games. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: tried I walk, I walk a girl home carry her books. Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: that was great, stuff like that. I tried that. You know.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I was writing them poems on construction paper, giving it
- 19:18Speaker 1: to him like you don't you remember a poem? Now.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I couldn't spell that good, so they were laughing at
- 19:24Speaker 1: him a lot. O. My spelling was shot, but the
- 19:29Speaker 1: sentiment was there. Your heart was in the right place. Yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 1: but you know when you didn't misspelled rose? Oh z
- 19:37Speaker 1: that ain't Yeah, well you know Rose because I spelled
- 19:44Speaker 1: like I taught rose all o Z Okay, cool? No,
- 19:49Speaker 1: what did he spelled? Look, he's so stupid, stupid, Come on, Carlin,
- 19:56Speaker 1: we got one minute. Let's get him in. What TV
- 19:58Speaker 1: show was Real Wind by the final season Game of Thrones?
- 20:05Speaker 1: That yeah, yeah, alright, alright, Uh, what is the most
- 20:13Speaker 1: embarrassing coming? The girl has made you? After sick? Wow? Embarrassed? Oh?
- 20:21Speaker 1: I had this girl tell me in college I ain't
- 20:23Speaker 1: even feel But I heard her too, I said, help
- 20:28Speaker 1: me not feeling. Yeah, you say you say that about
- 20:38Speaker 1: me if you want to, But I didn't feel nothing.
- 20:40Speaker 1: You're always quick with I was for real too. I
- 20:45Speaker 1: didn't feel it. Damn all right, Steve, that is the
- 20:49Speaker 1: end today of your favorite segment. It's called aste. Now
- 20:53Speaker 1: coming up next it is the nephew with run that
- 20:55Speaker 1: prank back? Right after this you're listening Morning show. Coming
- 21:01Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, earthquake is going
- 21:04Speaker 1: to be hanging out with us. Yes, yes, we're excited
- 21:07Speaker 1: about that. But right now the nephew is in the building,
- 21:10Speaker 1: would run that prank back? What you got? Now, we're
- 21:13Speaker 1: gonna gun it. Some wages up in him? Oh lord,
- 21:15Speaker 1: you shut the room down with this one man. Come on,
- 21:19Speaker 1: gonna go on. Some wages up in him, baby, y'all
- 21:21Speaker 1: ready what we're gonna get it some way? Wait a minute,
- 21:28Speaker 1: it ain't. It ain't about cleaning your throat. It had
- 21:31Speaker 1: nothing to do it tongue in the but but Steve,
- 21:34Speaker 1: did you hear him say, wait a minute? He was
- 21:38Speaker 1: facing Yeah, I don't know. Come what what did lady
- 21:45Speaker 1: tell you? Do your teacher? Count slow and then clows
- 21:49Speaker 1: your eyesight? Go ahead too long? Honest? Your wages you
- 21:56Speaker 1: did say? It? Did? Wow? S that? Wow? We didn't
- 22:06Speaker 1: make it easier. Take some people money, run it. Let's
- 22:11Speaker 1: run it. Let's run. Hello, I'm trying to reach a place.
- 22:16Speaker 1: My name is uh from the District Attorney's office. Yes,
- 22:20Speaker 1: h Hi. How are you giving you a call today? Ma'am?
- 22:23Speaker 1: Trying to get some updates from you. Your husband, mister
- 22:26Speaker 1: is he uh still not working at this point? No? Okay?
- 22:32Speaker 1: How long has he been out of work so far? Ma'am?
- 22:34Speaker 1: Could you could you give me an update on this January? Okay?
- 22:39Speaker 1: All right, here's what we're having. The problems that we're having.
- 22:41Speaker 1: You have a son, I think it's his name is
- 22:46Speaker 1: as well, fourteen years old? Am I right? Okay? The
- 22:49Speaker 1: child support is not being paid for from mister for
- 22:54Speaker 1: the uh, for mister young and then we're trying to
- 22:57Speaker 1: get this thing rectified. Now. The problem that we're gonna having,
- 23:00Speaker 1: the reason why we're giving you a call is considering
- 23:03Speaker 1: that your your husband hasn't worked since the first of
- 23:05Speaker 1: the year. And I haven't done the research yet. I'm
- 23:07Speaker 1: just I'm just not pulling up your file. I haven't
- 23:10Speaker 1: done the research to see how many months in the
- 23:11Speaker 1: rears he is on child support. It just started once
- 23:16Speaker 1: he lost a child. Okay, Well, the problem that we're
- 23:21Speaker 1: going to have is they're gonna start taking child support actually,
- 23:26Speaker 1: and I hate to give you this news out of
- 23:28Speaker 1: your check until I don't understand how that self, because
- 23:31Speaker 1: I have my own kids. Understand that, I understand, But
- 23:34Speaker 1: they're gonna be garnishing your check, ma'am, until this until
- 23:38Speaker 1: your husband can get this thing back on its feet
- 23:40Speaker 1: and get it rectified and get him up to parts
- 23:42Speaker 1: four of all the payments that are hurt. And when
- 23:44Speaker 1: will this be taking place? Because if that's the case,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be working because that's not gonna happen.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I have my own children, so I don't understand how that.
- 23:53Speaker 1: So I don't don't have anything to do with child
- 23:55Speaker 1: for it or anything like that. And if that's the case,
- 23:57Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be working as a right now, underesting
- 24:00Speaker 1: of the check is gonna come from you and you
- 24:01Speaker 1: are at the hospital. Correct, No, that's not it's not
- 24:05Speaker 1: where you work. I don't. I'm not gonna be working
- 24:07Speaker 1: as of right now. That's what I just told you.
- 24:10Speaker 1: So y'all do whatever you got to do, and I'll
- 24:11Speaker 1: do whatever I have to do on my end. Okay,
- 24:13Speaker 1: well hold on it. You're willing to quit your job,
- 24:15Speaker 1: I'm not understanding this if you're sure white, because I'm
- 24:18Speaker 1: not gonna be taking care of someone else's kids and
- 24:20Speaker 1: I have my own, so how that's right? So somebody
- 24:23Speaker 1: else can take care of my eyes then because I'm
- 24:25Speaker 1: not going to be doing it, you're so right? All right? Well,
- 24:27Speaker 1: I mean I'm just saying, you know, don't. I don't
- 24:29Speaker 1: want you to be upset with you. I don't want
- 24:31Speaker 1: you to be upset with me. I can be able
- 24:32Speaker 1: to contact you, Okay, you know I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 24:36Speaker 1: let you know this. It's a bit of information. You're
- 24:38Speaker 1: still gonna if you're quitting your job. Man, you guys
- 24:41Speaker 1: are still gonna be liable for the child's support. Okay,
- 24:45Speaker 1: Well that's fine, not you guys, because it's not my children.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Say okay, it's not your guys. He will be liable, okay,
- 24:53Speaker 1: because I don't, I mean, can't step Can you hold
- 24:56Speaker 1: my moment because I need to temp outside if that's okay,
- 24:59Speaker 1: or if there's a number I and contact you back. Okay,
- 25:01Speaker 1: Are you able to step outside right now? Um? Yes,
- 25:04Speaker 1: but I'm gonna get on the elevator and it's kind
- 25:06Speaker 1: of kind of so to call on Okay, let's do this.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Why don't you step outside and I'll wait for you
- 25:11Speaker 1: to call. Give me about forty five seconds, but I'm
- 25:13Speaker 1: gonna give a call to my manager on this situation. Okay, please, sir,
- 25:17Speaker 1: all right, thank you? Hello, Okay, mister, yes, sir, all
- 25:24Speaker 1: right again from the District Attorney's office. Okay, you can
- 25:27Speaker 1: hear me now, yes, I can. Can you hear me? Yes, ma'am,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I sure can. Now, let's get to the bottom of everything.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I couldn't get my manager on the phone, but I'll
- 25:34Speaker 1: keep trying. I just want to know. I mean, that's
- 25:38Speaker 1: I'm just as men your letting you. I know you are,
- 25:41Speaker 1: and I hate to be so short with you, but

- 25:46Speaker 1: come coming in as of right now. And you're speaking
- 25:49Speaker 1: of I have three children that I'm struggling to take
- 25:51Speaker 1: care of all my owners. Try somebody districts, but and
- 25:58Speaker 1: you're speaking of that, you're going to be a dust

- 32:04Speaker 1: to feel time to get me to a segue, that
- 32:07Speaker 1: was a three joke, it maybe got a lab probably didn't,
- 32:11Speaker 1: but it was okay, fulfill it. And then I had

- 45:40Speaker 1: them run off and get married? Like wait, wait, wait,
- 45:43Speaker 1: wait wait where did you hear this from? I just

- 46:21Speaker 1: boy phone number. I call him and ain't nobody picking
- 46:24Speaker 1: up in the airs or nothing. It ain't like my
- 46:28Speaker 1: baby girl to do like nothing like this here. But

- 48:13Speaker 1: misten to me. Now, I understand that's your daughter, she's
- 48:18Speaker 1: playing or whatever, but let me talk to my son

- 48:24Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Your son didn't curse my
- 48:29Speaker 1: baby girl and be getting married and he didn't gotta
- 48:31Speaker 1: bring it. I know what's going on. I know what
- 48:34Speaker 1: it is. My son ain't done nothing to your daughter.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Let me call down there and talk to him before
- 48:42Speaker 1: you talk about going down and putting your hands on somebody.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I told my maby the little dog, he ain't number
- 48:49Speaker 1: the dog? Who? Who? Who? Who? But don't be a
- 48:53Speaker 1: choosing my son of being no damn third. Now, Well

- 51:08Speaker 1: they don't do it like they know, like they did
- 51:10Speaker 1: and in the movies and stuff in the movie Anywhere
- 51:14Speaker 1: who just went on always passionate when they said, yeah, yeah,
- 51:19Speaker 1: they just run away and get married and come back
- 51:22Speaker 1: and yeah, that's pretty much how it is. I think
- 51:25Speaker 1: you're right, Carla. The Daisy Lopeman is they just go
- 51:28Speaker 1: to Vegas and get married, you know, so they just
- 51:31Speaker 1: text each other and say, hey, get married in Vegas.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Meet me and Vegas. I just see you there. Don't
- 51:37Speaker 1: kle me though. I might go to Vegas for my
- 51:41Speaker 1: anniversary this year. Yeah, okay, what year is it? Oh? Wow,
- 51:47Speaker 1: go here, cool, gotta go somewhere good? Yeah, what do Yeah?
- 51:51Speaker 1: Vegas is a good place. Who what happens to Vegas?
- 51:56Speaker 1: Get pregnant? But but but do couples do anything different
- 52:02Speaker 1: when they get to Vegas. It's the lovely dub the
- 52:07Speaker 1: same as it is at the house. Or is it
- 52:09Speaker 1: different in Vegas? Come on, come here, come here, come on,
- 52:14Speaker 1: put me up on this bath from counter top, Tommy,
- 52:18Speaker 1: not to put your business in the streets, Like, but

- 52:24Speaker 1: an Okay, they need a new in that room I
- 52:31Speaker 1: was in. Didn't he send us some pictures with Jackie

- 53:41Speaker 1: FM and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading
- 53:44Speaker 1: your letter live on the air, just like we're gonna
- 53:46Speaker 1: read this one right now. Buckle up, hold on tight,
- 53:50Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry
- 53:52Speaker 1: letter subject the second child could ruin my relationship. Dear
- 53:58Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I am twenty two years old and I
- 54:01Speaker 1: have a three year old daughter with my boyfriend. We've
- 54:04Speaker 1: been together for six years, but we've been off and
- 54:07Speaker 1: on the whole time. One night, when we were not together,
- 54:11Speaker 1: I went out and got really drunk with a guy
- 54:14Speaker 1: that has been liking me for a long time. I
- 54:17Speaker 1: got so drunk that I passed out, and the next
- 54:20Speaker 1: morning I woke up at the guy's apartment and realized
- 54:24Speaker 1: that we had had sex. We went to the store
- 54:27Speaker 1: and got a Plan B pill so I would not
- 54:30Speaker 1: get pregnant. Well, the Plan B didn't work and I
- 54:33Speaker 1: ended up pregnant, and I knew it was this guy's
- 54:36Speaker 1: baby because I had not had sex with my boyfriend
- 54:39Speaker 1: before or after that night. When I found out I
- 54:42Speaker 1: was pregnant, I got back with my boyfriend and we
- 54:45Speaker 1: had a lot of sex, so when I told him
- 54:48Speaker 1: I was pregnant again, he had no reason to think
- 54:50Speaker 1: it was not his baby. We got back together, I
- 54:53Speaker 1: had the baby, and everything has been great with my
- 54:56Speaker 1: boyfriend and I. We have not had any problems and
- 54:59Speaker 1: he has taken in good care of me. And the kids.
- 55:02Speaker 1: But I have a big problem. I posted a picture
- 55:06Speaker 1: of my six month old daughter on Facebook, and her
- 55:09Speaker 1: daddy and his family saw the picture, and now they
- 55:12Speaker 1: want to be included in my child's life. There is
- 55:15Speaker 1: no way for me to deny that she's his daughter,
- 55:19Speaker 1: but my boyfriend has no idea. I honestly wish my
- 55:23Speaker 1: daughter's dad was like most of the other dudes that
- 55:26Speaker 1: don't care about their kids, but he's not. He has
- 55:31Speaker 1: been asking to spend time with her. I want to
- 55:33Speaker 1: tell my boyfriends so badly, but I know it will
- 55:37Speaker 1: be the end of us for good. I will be
- 55:40Speaker 1: alone without a father for either of my kids. I
- 55:45Speaker 1: can't help but think that this is my karma for
- 55:48Speaker 1: getting drunk and having sex. What should I do? Should
- 55:51Speaker 1: I secretly let my daughter see her dad? Please help? Well,
- 55:56Speaker 1: I don't know about karma for getting drunk and having sex,
- 55:59Speaker 1: but you certainly got drunk and didn't have any protection
- 56:02Speaker 1: and had sex. And I cannot be a party to
- 56:06Speaker 1: you lying to your baby daddy. I cannot do that.
- 56:08Speaker 1: This is a whole mess right here. You're in all
- 56:11Speaker 1: because you got drunk and, like I said, didn't use protection.
- 56:16Speaker 1: That was not smart. Now, all these lies you've told,
- 56:20Speaker 1: they can mess up everyone's life if you tell the truth.
- 56:23Speaker 1: And because your daughter's father and his family want to
- 56:26Speaker 1: be a part of her life, and rightfully so, why
- 56:29Speaker 1: wouldn't he. You know, a lot of guys don't want
- 56:32Speaker 1: to be a part of their kid's life, but you're right,
- 56:35Speaker 1: this guy does. He's not one of those ones that
- 56:38Speaker 1: don't want to be a part of his child's life.
- 56:40Speaker 1: So no, you should not do it secretly, not let
- 56:44Speaker 1: her see him secretly, because that's just more lies on
- 56:48Speaker 1: top of more lies and lies and lies and lies.
- 56:51Speaker 1: I mean, don't you think you've had enough secrets and
- 56:53Speaker 1: enough lies? Don't you think that? And I'll say this,
- 56:57Speaker 1: I mean some things I do believe you should take
- 57:00Speaker 1: to your grave, but this is certainly not one of them.
- 57:02Speaker 1: You're gonna have to come clean. You have to come
- 57:05Speaker 1: clean because the pictures out there now you've posted it
- 57:08Speaker 1: on the internet. You do not want your man to
- 57:10Speaker 1: find out on the internet, and you don't want him
- 57:13Speaker 1: to find out from your daughter's real dad. You just
- 57:16Speaker 1: don't want to do that. It's not a good look.
- 57:18Speaker 1: You're gonna have to face the music. You did this
- 57:20Speaker 1: to yourself unfortunately, but you know, you have your child
- 57:24Speaker 1: to think of now, and you have to You're gonna
- 57:28Speaker 1: have to come clean and do the right thing. Stie,
- 57:30Speaker 1: how drunk you is, you're gonna have it? Yeah, you
- 57:33Speaker 1: know so, man, I don't care how drunk you is.
- 57:35Speaker 1: I don't understand that. I woke up, yeah, and realized
- 57:40Speaker 1: I had six Of course, I could be speaking from
- 57:44Speaker 1: lack of experience, so let me just preempty by saying that, Yeah,
- 57:48Speaker 1: I'm not judging her, but I don't know nobody that
- 57:51Speaker 1: can really really clean. I was drunk. I woke up
- 57:54Speaker 1: and I didn't realize it, but I had had sex.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I don't know a person as that. I'm I saying
- 58:00Speaker 1: it's not possible. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter
- 58:08Speaker 1: that you got drunk with a guy that was liking
- 58:12Speaker 1: you for a long time, and you got so drunk
- 58:15Speaker 1: that I passed out. In the next morning, I woke
- 58:17Speaker 1: up back to the guy's department and realize that we
- 58:19Speaker 1: had had sex. So we went to the store and
- 58:21Speaker 1: got the Plan B peal so I wouldn't get pregnant. Well,
- 58:25Speaker 1: Plan B didn't work, and now you're pregnant. I knew
- 58:29Speaker 1: it was this guy's baby because I had not had
- 58:31Speaker 1: sex with my boyfriend before or after that night. Okay,
- 58:35Speaker 1: how long before and how long after? Obviously it was
- 58:38Speaker 1: close enough that when you found out you was pregnant,
- 58:41Speaker 1: you got back with your boyfriend and y'all had a
- 58:45Speaker 1: lot of sex. So then when I told him I
- 58:48Speaker 1: was pregnant again, he had no reason think it was
- 58:51Speaker 1: not his baby. Oh girl, you're real tricky, Yeah, you
- 58:56Speaker 1: real tricky. So now we got back together out of
- 59:00Speaker 1: and had the baby. Everything being great with my boyfriend
- 59:03Speaker 1: and I were had any problems, and he's taking good
- 59:06Speaker 1: care of me and the kids. Wow, you tricky girl,
- 59:10Speaker 1: But now you got a problem because you don't. Posted
- 59:13Speaker 1: a picture of my six month old daughter on Facebook
- 59:17Speaker 1: and her daddy and this family saw the picture and
- 59:20Speaker 1: now they want to be included in my child's life.
- 59:22Speaker 1: What just like that for? There's no way for me
- 59:29Speaker 1: to deny that she's his daughter. That little girl looked
- 59:33Speaker 1: just like that man that much. But my boyfriend ain't
- 59:36Speaker 1: got no idea. I honestly was my daughter's dad was
- 59:40Speaker 1: like most other dudes that don't care about their kids.
- 59:43Speaker 1: But he ain't. He's been asking to spend time with her.
- 59:47Speaker 1: What how old is your baby? Six months? Right, that's
- 59:51Speaker 1: what the letter say. This letter screams for opporternity test. Yeah,
- 59:57Speaker 1: so we can be shown. So before you throw your
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: life out the window, you really need to find out
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: if this is demand's baby. That's for starters. All right,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: hang on, Steve. We'll get to part two of your response,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three after the hour, subject the
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: second child could ruin my relationship right after this you're listening,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: all right, Let's recap today's strawberry letters Steve, and get
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to part two of your response, subject this second child
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: could ruin my relationship. Okay, this girl off and home
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: relationship with her man. They have a three year old
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: daughter together. They went off, she got drunk or night
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: passed out. I was out with a guy that really
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: liked He passed out, woke up next door and drunk,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: realized they had sex when and bought a Plan B peel.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Plan B peel didn't work. Um, she decided she knew
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: she was pregnant. She found out she was pregnant, so
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: she got back with her boyfriend. They had a lot
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: of sex, so it was no reason for him to
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: think that it wasn't his baby. She's passed this off
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: as his baby. Everything has been going good for this
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: past six months. The guy's acting right. He's taking good
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: care of her and the babies, and everything's been great,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: and I had any problems, and but now she says
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: she's got a big problem. I posted a picture of
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: my six month old daughter on Facebook, and her daddy
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: and his family saw the picture, and now they want
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: to be included in my child's life. Okay, that's natural.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: So it's obvious to me that for him to look
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: at the child and think that's his child, you must
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: have told him that the plan B peel didn't work.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: So now when he online, because ain't no dude looking
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: to be no father, Not these dudes, not nowadays. So
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: now what happened is you probably told him to play
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and be didn't work and then he I don't know
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: what he said, ain't look ad what and all that.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Now you go with your boyfriend pawned the child off
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: on him. He's going for it. Now he'd found a
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: picture on Facebook and go, damn, she looked just like me,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and you already think that's his daddy. There's no way
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: for me to deny that she's his daughter. But my
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: boyfriend has no idea. Now he ain't like other dude,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: or he want to see his kids. He'd been asking
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to spend time with her. I want to tell my
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: boyfriend so bad, but I know will be the end
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: of us for good. I think you're correct, but then
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you may not be correct. He may stay in there
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: with you, but it's gonna be a problem that would
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: be the end of us for good. Then I will
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: be alone without a father for either one of my kids.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I can't help but think this is my calma for
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: getting drunk and having sex. Well, listen, young lady, it's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: not your calma, but it is the results. You know
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: that behind every action there's an equal and opposite reaction,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: and as young people, we have to understand that we've
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: got to really be conscious of our actions. Now you've
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: made a mistake, but it's nothing you can't recover from.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: So listen to me. I know it seems daunting, but
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: you want to keep your relationship with your boyfriend because
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: he's a good dude. This other dude than obviously said, see,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: this is why I think that you may have told
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: him that the plan b pel didn't work. Because while
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: he onlines, he see a baby, he goes, man, that's
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: my baby, that's my baby. Don't dude, just go that's
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: my baby. Unless you told him you were pregnant, he
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: said he didn't want to have nothing to do with it.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Now he got the baby. Now him and his whole
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: family want to spend time with the That ain't right.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: You don't get no girl pregnant and leave out like
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: that as his mama talking. Now, you know he got
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: to do the right thing. Now you want to do
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: the right thing, but the right thing is not the
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: right thing because you told your boyfriend it was his
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: What should I do? Should I secretly let my daughter
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: see her dad? That's the biggest mistake you can make
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: because there is no secret because the kid gonna tell it.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: She's six months now. But what is she gonna be
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: calling that man when you go over to daddy. Ain't
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you got her calling this one daddy? When she can
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: start talking. You don't think she's gonna get it confused
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: one day? Secret? No, you got enough secrets, so we
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: have to stop the secret. Shirley is right. Shirley said,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: there's some decisions you have to take to your grave.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: This is not one of them. This is where you're
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: gonna have to stand up and bear up under what
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: has happened. Now, what's the lesson we've learned here? Yo? Da?
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: First of all, we don't do good when we drink,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: so we need to take drinking off the list of
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: fun things to do because this fun thing then turn
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: into a situation. Now you got two beautiful children. God
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: don't mistake. God don't make mistakes with children, So they're here.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: You do have a dilemma because you're going to have
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: to the first thing you need to do is secretly
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: go get a paternity test. That you do need to
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: do secretly so you can find out exactly who the
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: father is because it may not be this one night
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: dude's baby. It may not be, but then again, if
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: it is, that's his child, you can't deny him. And
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: then you got to tell the truth to your boyfriend.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: And then you got to just say you I want
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you to forgive me, and you got to see where
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: it goes. But you're gonna have to play it out.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I don't think you love this new guy at allow
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: all right, listen, you can post your thoughts. Thank you, Steve.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: On today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, or you

- 1:06:46Speaker 1: President Trump spent the day discussing politics with outgoing Prime
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Minister Theresa May. Now, while Trump sat in meetings all day,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: there were tens of thousands of protesters just filling the
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: streets of central London. Yeah. The the infamous baby blimp,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: the Trump baby blimp, was out there too. Yeah, it
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: flew over Parliament Square. It's a sixteen foot statue of
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Trump sitting on a gold toilet while tweeting is also
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: on display. But despite all of these protests going on
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: over there, the President claimed in a tweet that he
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: hasn't seen any of them, He tweeted, tremendous crowds of
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: well wishers and people that love our country. Haven't seen
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: any protests yet, but I'm sure the fake news will
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: be working hard to find them. Great love all around.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: You're not to look out the window, stand around them

- 1:08:18Speaker 1: really talking about sending Trump's X campaign manager Paul Maniford teammate.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: It transferred to Rikers. I saw that hard times, hard time.

- 1:09:45Speaker 1: he made three point two billion dollars in that deal
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: with Apple, but he was only personally worth eight hundred
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: million dollars. This happened back in twenty fourteen when he

- 1:10:50Speaker 1: in fashion, liquor, and technology. He owns homes in La
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: the Hamptons, and New York City, as well as stakes

- 1:12:44Speaker 1: that's so big. Yeah. There's so many things set in
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: place for you not to be successful, right, and it's
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: really really refreshing to see these women who are doing
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: as well as they're doing. I mean, my hat's off too,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: because it is hard, man, It really is hard. Yeah.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: You always say that maintaining it is even harder than
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: earning it than getting it. Yeah, d um. And what
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I love about Rihanna is that when she wanted to
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: do her makeup, lind there were so many naysayers telling her,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: you know, not to do it because there's so many
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: makeup lines out here. Why are you going to do makeup?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: And she wanted to do it. Yeah, makeup line, right,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: and she did it anyway and look at it, look
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: at it? Yeah. Yeah, what if she had listened to them?
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: What if she had listened to them? You know, let's
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: come up with ugly man makeup? You you be you

- 1:14:21Speaker 1: shut down Sephora. Well, Sepphora, the cosmetics chain, we'll close
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: down all its stores today for a diversity training session
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: after Sizza tweeted that she was racially profiled by a
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Calabasa's location. So, um, yeah, this is a result of her.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: So thank you for that, Sizza, because if they need it,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: they need to do it. Yeah, that's big. Yeah, it
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: is big, you know. Yeah, Sephora's big, and they need
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: to know better and do better. So that's what they're
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: gonna do. We get that ugly man makeup in there.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: We're gonna make a killing. Put your product right up
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: there next fenty ugly people putting it on all day

- 1:15:19Speaker 1: a bad day for Tracy Morgan. Bad day for Tracy Morgan,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: the actor and comedian. He crashed Steve his two million
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: dollars Bugatti. Veyron TMZ says the accident happened on a
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: busy New York City street Tuesday afternoon after someone driving
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: a Honda CRV tried making a last second right turn
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: and smashed into Tracy. Who wow. Yeah, Tracy's okay. Yeah,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: he's okay. He tweeted that he's totally fine. His new
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: car may not be. The car is back up the
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: dealer to assess the damage, and we can only hope
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: that they total it. At this point, two million dollars Bugatti.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: after this. You're listening right now, it is time for
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Steve's favorite segment. It's called Asked Steve. All right, here
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: we go. How would you describe your life in one sentence?
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: It has been an amazing journey. I like that. Okay,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: it has been an amazing journey. I like it. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I got one. What It's something you want to tell
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: your significant other, but are afraid that if she find
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: out your break up or devoce you. Oh, I know
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: the answer to that. I'm saying that, right, don't. I
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: don't know why the hell they give me that girl,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: because no, I'm not giving that. That'll be all over
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: the internet. Steve Harvey wants to Oh no, oh, no,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: great question. But that's a really good question. Oh the
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: question is, yeah, I'm not walking into that. Well, maybe
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: you can answer this one, Steve, all right, here's a question.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: What is the most surprising thing you've accidentally overheard about yourself?
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: He doesn't forget anything anything, you know, he observed things
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: about the time. One of the most surprising things was
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: a little boy who came up to me at the
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Wearable Gala just this past week. And this is my
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: most recent surprising thing. He's the keynote speaker at the
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: camp this Sunday, he mentoring camp came to my camp
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: eight years ago, came up to me and told me,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: mister Harvey, your camp changed my life. I was called
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to the ministry that night after listening to you. I'm
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: a minister and I'm preaching at the camp for the
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: closing remarks on this Sunday. That was pretty surprising to
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: me because I don't know what I said turning into
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: a preacher many kids, I didn't cut down down, that's
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: tough love. It's a really big surprise. Wow. Okay, okay, right, junior,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: all right up, all right. What is something you did
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: when you were younger that could have healed you but
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: you were too young to realize it. I got a
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: bunch of them. One time, my brother's convinced me and
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: my nephew to paint. My father had bought this catch
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: strap home that we got whippings with, and he kept
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: it on the hook right over his rocking chair. My
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: brother told me and my dumbass nephew, if you painted
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: white and hanging back on that hood, he ain't gonna
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: know it because they bled in with the wall. We
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: painted it, and what happened right there. We almost got killed.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: All Right, that ends it for asked Steve coming up
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: our last break of the day and some closing remarks
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, Steve, here we are last
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: break of the day on this hump day. Time for
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: you to leave us with some closing remarks. Yeah, you know.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I try to find different ways to encourage people because, uh, life,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: life is really challenging, man, and it's becoming even more
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: so for all of us because of social media. Man.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: It's like craziness. It's it's you can become a part
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: of the meal, so to speak. You can just become
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: a part of the meal. And you don't even have
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: to be famous, you really really don't. It can just
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: be in your circle of friends that you start getting
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: hated on or something like that. But it's really difficult
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: out here. So I really try to give people bits
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: and pieces of things that happened to me as I
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: progress through my life and I maintain and I grow
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: all the while in spite of in spite of not
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: two things help me. First of all, my relationship with
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: God is probably better than it's ever been, because I've
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: learned some really really useful tools over the past year
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: to really really help me. Now, little did I know
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that God was presenting these tools to me so I
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: could so I would have them and be equipped for
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: the fight that he knew was coming my way. Man,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: that's a cool, cool thing to know that God taught
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: me some things before last year that was going to
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: help me with what he knew was coming my way
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: this year. So the first thing I have to attribute
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: and give credit to my relationship with God has been
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: the real root of my ability to keep moving forward
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: in the face of all circumstances, whether they seemed appeared
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: to be what they were or not. And then secondly,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: I have learned how to shield myself. It's not that
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I know how to shield myself, but I've learned how
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: to put a protective coding over my mind to help
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: me deal with negativity because it's just so much of
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: it out there. Man. And if you get if you
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: really listen to what everybody's saying, you know you have
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: a lot more people that love you than hate. You
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: know that the problem with hate is it's so dog
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: gone loud, and love you just somebody call and say, hey, man,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: don't worry about none of that. I got your back.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: I love you, man, thank you for all you do.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: Your real friends know the truth. It's just people who don't.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: They have something to say. So, your relationship with God
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: and this practice that I've learned of how to the
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: coat now how to coat my mind from negativity, have
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: been two of the most powerful things that I've developed
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: over the past couple of years and last year and
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: few months ago. That's really really helping me. And So
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: what I wanted to kind of share in light of
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: all of that, or in that same vein as what
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I want you to stop doing. If you're doing this,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: stop giving people permission to have an opinion about you. Man,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Stop giving people permission to have an opinion about you when,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: first of all, they don't even know you. Number two,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: are a lot of people with an opinion about you.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: They've never met you. And here's the most important reason
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: they don't know you. They haven't met you. And you
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: want to know the real reason, you shouldn't care, because
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: they don't care. They don't care anything about you, one
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: way or another. They just riding through the system, pushing buttons,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: and you happen to be the button that they pushing today.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Do not give people permission to have an opinion about you,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: and you listen to it. I stopped doing that. I
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: stopped giving people my permission to have an opinion about me.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: You don't have I'm not giving you permission. Now you
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: can go have one, but it's without my permission, So
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: therefore you can't affect me. Listen to me. People, If
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: you don't give them the permission to affect you, they
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: can't affect you. You can keep pushing on and upwards
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: to your goals. Don't give them permission to turn you back.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Don't give them permission to stop you. Don't give a
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: person permission to ride your back. Marty Luther King said,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: a man can't ride your back unless you bend over.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Stand up, stand up to some of this mess. I'm
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: not saying go down there and do something about it.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: I'm just saying, stand up, hold your head up, square
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: your shoulders, pinch your shoulder blades, get your chests out,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: hold your chein up, go on with your bad self.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Quit worrying about what they're saying. Then people don't even
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: know you. Don't give these people permission to make you
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: feel less than who you really are. Your heavenly Father
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: made you. You're a child of God. These people but
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: didn't make you. Do not give them permission. Don't give
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: them permission to be a determining factor in your life.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: They don't have your permission to do that. They don't
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: have the ability to do that. Don't give them permission
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: to hate you, turn you back, ride your back, make
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: you feel less, be a determining factor in your life.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: You know why because they don't know you, they never
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: met you, and they don't care about you. You should
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: not care about what they think. Those are my remarks.
