- 0:0014 months ago, she and her husband welcome to baby girl.
- 0:02Thanks to the miracle of IVF, he scheduled treatments to have
- 0:05that second child. The Alabama Supreme Court shut
- 0:07down IVF treatments across the state.
- 0:09Let's pause it right here. He's already lying.
- 0:11He's saying that the Alabama Supreme Court basically ruled
- 0:13and shut down IVF clinics in the state.
- 0:15That's not what happened. All the Alabama Supreme Court
- 0:18ruled was that if you are an IVF provider, you're not allowed to
- 0:22let embryos be recklessly destroyed in your clinic.
- 0:29Hi, everyone, welcome back to Lila Rose Podcast for those
- 0:32listening later. Welcome.
- 0:34And for those on YouTube. Hey, everybody.
- 0:36I'm going to be keeping my eye on the chat.
- 0:38Last time the chat was not working for me, but this time it
- 0:41is. So I see people already in here.
- 0:43Hello, Colonel Sanders. Hi, Isaac.
- 0:46Hi, Ellie. Thanks for tuning in, guys.
- 0:49Great to see everybody. We have a great show today
- 0:53because we, some of us at least listened to the State of the
- 0:56Union last night, hearing from President Joe Biden about the
- 0:59State of the Union, about basically his campaign speech
- 1:02for the next year. So you're going to hear a lot of
- 1:04the things that he said in the State of the Union in his
- 1:06campaigning over the next year. Get ready, buckle up.
- 1:08It's going to be a while 2024, but we're also going to be
- 1:14debunking the president's State of the Union.
- 1:16We're going to talk about particularly the misinformation
- 1:19and the controversy around the Kate Cox Texas case.
- 1:22Very important for us to talk about, especially for the sake
- 1:25of the pro-life cause. And we're also going to talk
- 1:27about Alabama's big law that just went into effect giving IVF
- 1:31providers complete legal immunity.
- 1:34This is also a really big deal. I'm going to take your questions
- 1:37as well. Hey, Isabella.
- 1:39Thank you. I'm glad you like the
- 1:40background. Yeah, we're experimenting and I,
- 1:42I like it too. Hello.
- 1:45Someone saying I saw Isabelle a stream last night.
- 1:48Excuse my language, but the State of the Union was a
- 1:49complete. I'll just say disaster is what
- 1:52you're saying. Yeah, I agree.
- 1:53The State of the Union was very acrimonious.
- 1:56It was very angry. I thought that it was very
- 1:59almost difficult sometimes to understand what President Biden
- 2:01was saying at different points. But we're going to actually play
- 2:03clips here in a moment to hear what the president actually
- 2:07said, especially on issues of life and family.
- 2:11That's what we're going to be focusing on in today's LIVE.
- 2:14Hey, everybody. Hey, AC named my baby Lila.

- 4:30That's every life.com. OK, we're going to go to State
- 4:33of the Union now. We heard from the president last
- 4:35night. He had a long speech to give and
- 4:38he definitely talked about abortion.
- 4:41You're going to hear about abortion a lot in this campaign
- 4:43season, the 2024 election. Some people are saying abortion
- 4:47is going to be one of the top issues.
- 4:49I think that's true for some voters.
- 4:51There's some statistics saying that one out of every 4 black
- 4:53women are going to have abortion be one of their top voting
- 4:56issues. The president is definitely
- 4:58focusing on reproductive rights, as he calls it, and trying to
- 5:02position himself as a savior for women and his administration as
- 5:05a savior for women. So this is all junk.
- 5:08It's all a lie. There's a lot of lies that he
- 5:10tells in the State of the Union about abortion.
- 5:13We're going to break that down. And then we're also going to
- 5:16hear from Kate, Katie Bricks Britt, who responds to, she's a
- 5:20junior senator from Alabama who gave the Republican response to
- 5:23the State of the Union and what she had to say.
- 5:26All right, let's start playing here from the President history.
- 5:32Is watching another assault on for you?
- 5:34You want to select. He doesn't talk.
- 5:36That fast, we have it on speed, we'll slow him down.
- 5:41Not too slow though. Here we go.
- 5:42Another assault on freedom. Joining us the light is Latoya
- 5:46Beasley, a social worker in Birmingham, AL 14 months ago. 14
- 5:51months ago, she and her husband welcome to baby girl.
- 5:54Thanks to the miracle of IVF. OK, she scheduled treatments to
- 5:57have that second child. The Alabama Supreme Court shut
- 6:01down IVF treatments across the state.
- 6:03OK, let's pause it right here. He's already lying.
- 6:05So he's starting with something positive in terms of a baby
- 6:08being born, not aborted. So there's beauty to that.
- 6:10Obviously every baby that's born from IVF is a beautiful blessing
- 6:14and, and, and has human rights and should be cherished.
- 6:18He's lying already though. He's saying that the Alabama
- 6:20Supreme Court basically ruled and shut down IVF clinics in the
- 6:23state. That's not what happened.
- 6:26All the, all the. Alabama Supreme Court ruled was
- 6:29that if you are an IVF provider, you're not allowed to be
- 6:34negligent and let embryos of your clients, the families that
- 6:38are bringing these babies into the world through your
- 6:40technology, you're not allowed to let them just be recklessly
- 6:43destroyed in your clinic. And that's what happened.
- 6:46The whole reason that the Alabama Supreme Court was even
- 6:49hearing a case was because parents of embryos of children
- 6:53who were in frozen, basically in cyro preservation in these
- 6:57fertility clinics in Alabama, someone had just wandered in.
- 7:00They had not locked the door properly secured the embryos.
- 7:03Someone just wandered in and smashed several vials that had
- 7:07embryos in them, killing the embryos immediately, and the
- 7:10parents were trying to get some recompense and doing a wrongful
- 7:14death lawsuit against the clinic.
- 7:16And all the Alabama Supreme Court ruled is that that the
- 7:19parents could sue and for wrongful death, that these
- 7:22children could be considered in a wrongful death lawsuit.
- 7:26That was the. Bare minimum, it's not even
- 7:28saying that you can't destroy babies in IVF clinics.
- 7:31It's not even saying that you can't freeze them in IVF
- 7:33clinics. All the Supreme Court said in
- 7:35Alabama was you can't negligently allow them to be
- 7:38destroyed in your clinic. And what happened after that?
- 7:41Well, a couple IVF clinics, we're like, we don't want to
- 7:43deal with the liability. We don't want to be so careful.
- 7:46We don't want to have to, you know, hurt our bottom line by
- 7:49having extra security stipulations in our facility.
- 7:53And so we're not going to deal with that.
- 7:54It's not good for our bottom line.
- 7:56And So what did they do? They threatened to shut down.
- 7:59And then you saw this whole frenzy happen in Alabama, which
- 8:02I'm going to talk about later because it gets worse.
- 8:04The story gets worse. But the bottom line is this, I
- 8:07wish the Alabama Supreme Court had done what was right and
- 8:10acknowledged that these children in frozen indefinitely in IVF
- 8:14clinics, brought into life in IVF clinics, that they should
- 8:17have equal status under the law with any other preborn child.
- 8:22In Alabama, abortion is illegal, but it is legal to destroy
- 8:26embryos that you bring into life into an IVF clinic.
- 8:29It doesn't make any sense. And So what is happening right
- 8:32now is the hypocrisy really is being shown of unfortunately,
- 8:36many of the political leaders in the state of Alabama.
- 8:39So we'll get to that more. But First off, he's already
- 8:41lying. That does not happen.
- 8:43All the Alabama Supreme Court said is that you're not allowed
- 8:46to just recklessly let embryos get destroyed in your clinics.
- 8:50And some clinics that wanted to pad their bottom line, they're
- 8:53worried about their own money, wanted to threaten to shut down
- 8:56over it. OK, let's keep listening.
- 8:59Based by Supreme Court decision overturning Roe V Wade, she was
- 9:03told her dream would have to wait.
- 9:06What her family got through should never have happened
- 9:08unless Congress acts or could happen again.
- 9:10So tonight, let's stand up for families like hers.
- 9:13To my friends across the aisle, don't keep this waiting any
- 9:16longer. OK, I mean.
- 9:19Pause there for a second. He's lying about that, that now
- 9:23people can't have babies because of Roe V Wade being overruled.
- 9:26Actually no, now people do have babies because over Roe V Fade
- 9:29is overruled and there's some states that have more legal
- 9:31restrictions. SO2 lies already.
- 9:33Let's see how many more. I guess I should have like a
- 9:35drink or something. Every time we hear a lie about
- 9:38abortion. Let's keep going.
- 9:42Guarantee it nationwide. All those people standing and
- 9:54applauding are applauding for the death.
- 9:57Of children, I believe Roe V Raid got it right.
- 10:00I thank Vice President Harris for it to be an incredible
- 10:03leader defending reproductive freedom.
- 10:05There's so much more. OK, we have to pause here.
- 10:09Just a little background. I mean, this is a lie.
- 10:12You know, the word reproductive freedom, the term is a lie
- 10:16because it's not freedom to reproduce, it's freedom to kill.
- 10:19And abortion takes place on a child that's already been
- 10:22reproduced. Reproduction has already taken
- 10:24place. And what happens in an abortion
- 10:26is you kill that child. It's not an reproductive
- 10:29decision. It's a decision to kill a child
- 10:31that's already been reproduced. And he's praising Vice President
- 10:34Kamala Harris for being this champion, he says, for
- 10:36reproductive justice. Obviously, that's that's a lie.
- 10:38What she's a champion for is abortion in the abortion
- 10:41industry. Planned Parenthood helped her
- 10:42win her Senate race. Planned Parenthood has been in
- 10:44her back pocket for the length of her political career.
- 10:48She's had a very corrupt political career herself.
- 10:50But when she was the attorney general of California, she was
- 10:53the one who sent state agents to raid my friend David Daleiden's
- 10:55home as an investigative journalist, exposing Planned
- 10:58Parenthood, selling baby body parts.
- 11:00And meanwhile, she was getting campaign money from Planned
- 11:03Parenthood. So think about that for a
- 11:04minute. When Kamala Harris with the was
- 11:06the attorney general, the state of California, this is where she
- 11:09got cut her teeth after leaving San Francisco and got the
- 11:12statewide office. She was running for Senate as
- 11:16the attorney general and Planned Parenthood was helping fund her
- 11:19campaign. At the same time, when David
- 11:21Daleiden showed the wrongdoing happening at Planned Parenthood
- 11:24clinics in California selling baby body parts, which is
- 11:28against federal law, Kamala Harris, instead of as an AG
- 11:31investigating Planned Parenthood as the attorney general, sent
- 11:35state agents with guns to raid David Daleiden's home and steal
- 11:39his laptops and the evidence of Planned Parenthood's wrongdoing.
- 11:42And then you know what happened? Kamala Harris's agent, someone
- 11:45in her, in her administration, ended up giving the evidence of
- 11:50what David documented to Planned Parenthood.
- 11:53So they actually knew what was on his tapes.
- 11:55It's absolutely insane. It's corruption at its highest.
- 11:59And that is our vice president of the United States, ladies and
- 12:02gentlemen. So again, you don't hear that in
- 12:05the State of the Union. But this is The Dirty, The Dirty
- 12:08past of these politicians. And they're continuing it,
- 12:10obviously, in the present. So let's keep watching.
- 12:12Thank. You, my predecessor, came to
- 12:21office determined to see Roe V Ray overturned.
- 12:25He's the reason he's overturned and he brags about it.
- 12:29Look at the chaos that is resolved it.
- 12:32I'll pause it there. I mean, I don't know that this
- 12:33is AI would say, I don't know that this is a lie, but probably
- 12:36a misunderstanding. I don't think President Trump
- 12:38went into office saying I'm determined to overturn Roe V
- 12:41Wade. I think he was smart and he knew
- 12:43that he needed to appoint justices that the people that
- 12:45voted for him would like and that would be solid justices
- 12:49originalist to acknowledge the Constitution and the
- 12:51constitutional right to life. And thank God they went forward
- 12:54to obviously overturn Roe V Wade.
- 12:56So, you know, this whole thing that President Trump his out to
- 12:59get abortion from the beginning. I think President Trump's a
- 13:02politician and he's, you know, been very successful in winning
- 13:06the vote of many pro lifers because he has successfully done
- 13:10some important pro-life things. Not as Kate Cox, the wife and
- 13:16mother from Dallas. She's become pregnant again and
- 13:20had a fetus in a fatal condition.
- 13:22Her doctor told Kate that her own life and her ability to have
- 13:26future in the field children in the future were at risk if she
- 13:30didn't act. OK, lie.
- 13:33That's not what happened. Her doctor did not say your life
- 13:36is at risk. In fact, if her life was truly
- 13:39at risk in the state of Texas, Kate Cox could have done a
- 13:43medical emergency procedure where she could have delivered
- 13:46that baby early. There is actually stipulations.
- 13:49Abortion is banned largely in Texas, but there are there are
- 13:53exceptions in the law, which I have some issue with some of
- 13:55these exceptions because I think that they're actually
- 13:57unnecessary. They're actually the result of
- 13:59poor healthcare where you don't care for both mother and baby
- 14:02enough. But there are exceptions in the
- 14:03Texas law for what they called medical abortions.
- 14:07Kate didn't qualify because her life was not at risk.
- 14:11He is lying right now, the president to say that, oh, look
- 14:14at this poor woman. Her life was at risk and she
- 14:18needed this abortion. And so let's keep listening.
- 14:21Because Texas law banned her ability to act, Kate and her
- 14:25husband had to leave the state to get what she needed.
- 14:27What her family got through should have never happened as
- 14:30well. But it's happening to too many
- 14:32others. There are state laws banning the
- 14:35freedom to choose, criminalizing doctors, forcing survivors of
- 14:39rape and incest to leave their states to get the treatment they
- 14:42need. Many of you in this Chamber and
- 14:46my predecessor are promising. All right, let's pause for a
- 14:48minute. We got to break this down for a
- 14:50moment because the Kate Cox, he chose the President of the
- 14:53United States invites every State of the Union, a select
- 14:57number of guests. These are very honored special
- 15:00guests that get to attend the State of the Union as special
- 15:03guests of the president's administration.
- 15:05And they get to sit there and their cameras on them.
- 15:07And they're, they're, they're meant to be core icons of the
- 15:11causes and the things that the administration, the president
- 15:15cares about. So this is a, this is a long
- 15:17tradition and the president chose to invite Kate Cox.
- 15:20And it's essential right now that we take a moment to address
- 15:23the misinformation regardless, regarding the Kate Cox case.
- 15:26I've done this before in the show, but we're going to go a
- 15:27little bit deeper right now because if you just hear it on
- 15:30its face, if you just read a, a media headline, you see, oh,
- 15:33this poor woman, you know, the sweet looking woman, she was
- 15:37pregnant and she was, the baby was like dead or dying.
- 15:40And she was going to be dead or dying.
- 15:43And her doctors were frightened and couldn't care for her.
- 15:46And so they had to sue for immediate relief.
- 15:48They couldn't get it from the state to Texas.
- 15:49And so she had to flee the state.
- 15:50This poor, poor woman, right? That is what you hear, that is
- 15:55what President Biden has effectively said and that is
- 15:57what the media headlines say. But nothing could be further
- 16:00from the truth. The reality of the case is this.
- 16:03If you actually go to the Kate, the Cox V Texas case and you
- 16:07actually read what the attorneys, Kate Cox's attorneys
- 16:10wrote, and these are her attorneys that are rabid pro
- 16:15abortion legal activists. So this is the, I think it's the
- 16:18Center for Reproductive Freedom and their whole thing is to try
- 16:21to find cases to expand abortion.
- 16:23That's what they are, what they do.
- 16:25So if you actually go to the case and you you Scroll down, it
- 16:28says and admits in the actual brief that is submitted to the
- 16:32court by Kate's attorneys that her life was not at risk, that
- 16:36her life was not at risk, but that she may have to have AC
- 16:39section and that there's complications with the C-section
- 16:42and therefore she deserves to have a late term abortion.
- 16:45So that's the first piece of information that is been spread
- 16:49is that her life was not at risk.
- 16:50She was she was fine and the baby's life was also not at
- 16:55risk. The baby had a terminal
- 16:57condition which is called trisomy 18.
- 17:01It can be a terminal condition, excuse me, but the baby was
- 17:04alive. The baby was not under distress
- 17:07and needed to be delivered to relieve the distress and get him
- 17:10separate care. The baby was around 20 weeks
- 17:13old, and they did further tests and said we really think the
- 17:15baby does have trisomy 18. And Kate Cox and her husband
- 17:21didn't want a baby with disability.
- 17:23To be clear, babies with trisomy 18, up to 90% of them are
- 17:28aborted because parents and doctors negotiate together and
- 17:33say you don't have to deal with this baby with disabilities.
- 17:35And so they often get killed in utero.
- 17:38It's not that they're all dying, it's that they get killed.
- 17:40There's a difference. Do we see that?
- 17:42And many of these babies with trisomy 18 can survive some of
- 17:46them for many, many years after birth.
- 17:48They may have spina bifida. They may they have other
- 17:50complications about mental delays.
- 17:52It's not a piece of cake. They have disabilities, but
- 17:55their life is just as worthy as any other life.
- 17:58Bella Santorum is one such child who was born with Trisomy 18.
- 18:03She is the daughter of Karen and former Senator Rick Santorum.
- 18:07He and his wife Karen and Bella is about to celebrate her 16th
- 18:12birthday this year. Bella Santorum, she's been
- 18:15surrounded by the love and the care of her family.
- 18:18We discriminate savagely against people with disabilities in this
- 18:22country, and it is legal to discriminate against them
- 18:26lethally when they are preborn. And that's what Kate Cox and her
- 18:29husband wanted to do. They didn't want to deal and so
- 18:32they wanted to abort. And the way they were going to
- 18:35abort is because they waited and waited and waited to confirm
- 18:38that the baby actually had a disability when they were for
- 18:42sure. Yeah.
- 18:42The spine is not developing properly.
- 18:44The skull is not developing normally.
- 18:46OK. This baby is going to have a
- 18:47disability. Well, now we want to abort this
- 18:49baby. Well, this baby's 20 weeks old
- 18:51now. This baby is literally Kate
- 18:53Cox's daughter was literally days away, certainly just weeks
- 18:59away from being able to survive outside the womb with medical
- 19:01care. And that's when she chose, I
- 19:04need this abortion right away. I need to do it because I do not
- 19:08want to deliver a baby that's disabled.
- 19:10That was the decision that she and her family and she made.
- 19:14And so then she's bullying with her legal team or pro abort
- 19:17legal team, the state of Texas to say, how dare you not let me
- 19:19have a late term abortion on a baby with disability and
- 19:23building this whole victim sob story around her case.
- 19:26What ended up happening is Kate Cox left the state of Texas for
- 19:30a late term abortion and a particularly AD and C abortion,
- 19:34which is an abortion where the child is dismembered alive.
- 19:39Let's pause for a minute. This is so heavy.
- 19:42But people, we're so brainwashed today by media headlines and
- 19:47social media too. And we hear these terms like
- 19:49abortion, reproductive freedom, you know, Kate Cox's story.
- 19:53And we don't actually know what these things mean.
- 19:56Kate Cox left the state of Texas for a late term D&C abortion.
- 20:01In this kind of an abortion, the child often viable, just newly
- 20:06viable second trimester and fully pain capable.
- 20:12The doctor, it's a 2 day procedure.
- 20:14The first day Kate's Kate would have gone in, they would have
- 20:17expanded her cervix so that they can reach in with their tools
- 20:20and their grasping instruments. The second day they go in, they
- 20:23put her under and they go in with they don't put the baby
- 20:27under. The baby's fully kicking,
- 20:29feeling everything and they go in and they grab a leg or they
- 20:32grab an arm of the baby and they RIP it off and pull it out.
- 20:36Then the next chunk of the baby's flesh, RIP it off and
- 20:39pull it out. RIP it off and pull it out till
- 20:41they get to the skull. Crush the skull, pull that
- 20:43baby's skull through the vaginal canal, pull the baby skull out.
- 20:48The baby felt that the baby was alive.
- 20:50And of course, now the baby's murdered and dead.
- 20:52That's what happened to Kate Cox's baby.
- 20:55And you know, it makes me want to cry even talking about it
- 20:59because it's we, we, we sacrifice this little girl
- 21:01because she was disabled and no one defended her.
- 21:04I mean, the state of Texas tried to defend her.
- 21:06But when when she got to New Mexico, I think that's where
- 21:08Kate's mom went where they have abortion through all nine
- 21:10months. She was she was just a little
- 21:13lamb that was led to the slaughter and the president of
- 21:16the United States of America, the most arguable, arguably
- 21:20powerful person in the country. The powerful seat in the country
- 21:23in the in the world, excuse me, is praising the decision to kill
- 21:30this little girl and saying the poor mother that she had to go
- 21:33through difficulty to achieve the death of this little girl.
- 21:38So it's, it's a shameful display of, of the powerful over the
- 21:42week, the domination, the brutal domination that we permit in
- 21:47this country because we deny the rights of the weakest, the
- 21:50vulnerable in the womb. And it's lies.
- 21:52It's just straight up a, a, a litany of lies coming from our
- 21:56the leader of the free world about a little baby who's not at
- 22:00the state of the Union, who's not, who's never going to
- 22:04celebrate her 16th birthday, like Bella Santorum, who's never
- 22:06going to know the loving embrace of his or of her mother.
- 22:11You know, because her mother didn't want to embrace her
- 22:14daughter. Her mother wanted to kill the
- 22:15daughter. So that's the truth.
- 22:18That's the truth of the Kate Cox story.
- 22:20Read the court case document yourself, read Kate, read Cox V
- 22:23Texas, read it yourself. The other thing too is Kate Cox
- 22:28and her husband, they want another baby.
- 22:30They just want it to be healthy. And so the, because the question
- 22:33was, why don't you just do AC section, Let this baby come to
- 22:36term, do AC section. She could have placed the baby
- 22:38for adoption. She could have done any number
- 22:40of things. She didn't want to do the
- 22:43C-section and didn't want to let this little baby grow and live
- 22:46and thrive because if she did, she might not get to have that
- 22:514th baby because another C-section of 4th time can be
- 22:54very challenging. And she really wanted that
- 22:56healthy third child. So this was also an act of
- 22:59eugenics by Kate Cox and her family and her medical team to
- 23:03say, we're going to literally selectively reduce, we're going
- 23:06to destroy the unhealthy family member because we want to make
- 23:10space for a future healthy family member.
- 23:13May God have mercy, right? May God have mercy.
- 23:15So there is the story of Kate Cox.
- 23:17There's the truth that we all should know.
- 23:19And let's let's go back to the president and his last few
- 23:22comments on life and family from the State of the Union.
- 23:26Ban on reproductive freedom? My God, what freedom else would
- 23:30you take away? Look.
- 23:33I gotta pause it. There's two.
- 23:35This is like rich stuff. My God.
- 23:37What other freedoms would you take away?
- 23:39Ban on reproductive freedom. Again, there's no ban on
- 23:42reproductive freedom. No one is stopping someone from
- 23:44getting married and and having a baby.
- 23:47There's no law against that. You could, you were free to do
- 23:49that. You are.
- 23:51And you should be prohibited in some places.
- 23:53You should be prohibited in all places.
- 23:54And you are prohibited in some places from getting pregnant and
- 23:58then going and killing your baby after the, after reproduction
- 24:01has happened. So the, the euphemistic
- 24:03language, the, the language that's being used here to try to
- 24:06deceive and lie to people is powerful.
- 24:09It has a hold, but it's it's something that needs to be
- 24:12exposed. Roe V Wade, the Supreme Court
- 24:16majority, wrote the following. And with all due respect,
- 24:19justices, women are not without electoral electoral power.
- 24:24Excuse me? Electoral or political power,
- 24:27You're about to realize just how much you what are.
- 24:32They cheering for women are not without power to kill.
- 24:36We just have to kill to be free. We don't have to kill to be
- 24:40free. I mean, it's so sad.
- 24:44What are we cheering for? Domination over children?
- 24:46That's what we're cheering for. It's so sad.
- 24:51And you know. Some bragging about overturning
- 24:53Roe V Wade have no clue about the power of women, but they
- 24:57found out. Guess what, Joe Biden?
- 24:59There's a lot of real life American women, millions of us.
- 25:02Again, he's lying here. He's lying because he's saying
- 25:05that all women, women at large are pro abortion.
- 25:09It is a lie. It's not true.
- 25:10I work with, we work with millions of women across the
- 25:13country in the pro-life movement who are passionately pro-life. 2
- 25:16and 2020 and will win again in 2024.
- 25:19That's a lie. You're not going to win.
- 25:21I mean, I don't know, Maybe we'll, we'll see.
- 25:24We'll see. That's about all the politicians
- 25:26say we will win. Not if we have something to do
- 25:30about this. But let's keep.
- 25:32Let's keep going. If you, the American people,
- 25:35send me a Congress that supports the right to choose, I promise
- 25:38you I'll restore Roe V Wade as the law of the land again.
- 25:44OK, so the president, what most people don't realize, the
- 25:47administration's position on abortion, President Biden's
- 25:50position and his administration is abortion on demand without
- 25:54limit, taxpayer funded. This is very important.
- 25:58And they also want to force doctors to do abortions.
- 26:02I mean that was part of or, or or to market abortions.
- 26:05One of the things Kamala Harris did as AG was to she, she did
- 26:10not respect pregnancy resource centers and she wanted, and this
- 26:13has been a typical thing amongst a lot of very hardcore pro
- 26:16abortion politicians. They don't want pregnancy
- 26:18centers to exist because they provide alternatives to
- 26:21abortion. And so they try to threaten or
- 26:22penalize them or say that the pregnancy center has to at least
- 26:26advertise abortion. So the administration's position
- 26:29is out of touch with the large majority of Americans.
- 26:33Most Americans want some abortion restrictions.
- 26:36President Biden and his and his administration want none.
- 26:39So put that in your back pocket for future conversations about
- 26:42politics and the election for with friends who say, well, Joe
- 26:45Biden's a moderate or, oh, Joe Biden is a unifier.
- 26:48Oh, you know, President Biden is, you know, he's not a zealot,
- 26:51he's not crazy. He's the most pro abortion
- 26:55president we've had. And he is not a unifier.
- 27:00He is not a, he's not a moderate.
- 27:03He is an extremist on abortion and everybody needs to know it.
- 27:07OK, let's go to IVF and Alabama. This is the second story here.
- 27:11I'm going to check the chat too. Here folks are saying I hope he
- 27:15doesn't win. AJ says.
- 27:19I cringe just watching his speech.
- 27:20It was tough to watch. I agree.
- 27:24Others saying if only he would speak so boldly about closing
- 27:27the border. Yeah, I mean, a lot of
- 27:29complaints about obviously his border policies.
- 27:31But I think the through line here is a lot of misdeception
- 27:35coming from the president, especially on on the issue of
- 27:37life. So what just happened in
- 27:39Alabama? This is really important, guys,
- 27:41because listen, our pro-life movement is growing.
- 27:45More states are banning abortion.
- 27:47More states are protecting life. We're very excited at live
- 27:51action because more states are putting fetal development into
- 27:53school curriculum. We're seeing this happening
- 27:56across the country and it's a good thing.
- 27:58But you see a state like Alabama, which is largely a
- 28:00pro-life state, the governor Kay Ivey says she's pro-life.
- 28:03The legislature is largely pro-life.
- 28:05They have pretty much an abortion ban in the state.
- 28:09And then when the Alabama Supreme Court made this ruling,
- 28:11IVF clinics, a few of them threatened to close.
- 28:14And then there was this big media uproar, right, where the
- 28:16media was just attacking and blasting Alabama's Supreme
- 28:20Court, saying they're so extreme, giving embryos the same
- 28:23status as, you know, persons. OK, an embryo.
- 28:27What is an embryo? What is a human embryo?
- 28:30Let's just go have a quick science lesson here.
- 28:32Science shows us that human life begins at the moment of
- 28:35fertilization at Spermag fusion in an IVF clinic, that's what
- 28:39they're trying to do all day long is sperm egg fusion,
- 28:42successful sperm egg fusion to get an embryo and then grow it a
- 28:45few days old and either implant it or put it in cyber
- 28:48preservation and freeze it. So an IVF clinic knows when life
- 28:51begins because they say, aha, we have an embryo, we have an
- 28:54embryo, we have a unique individual little human that now
- 28:58can grow potentially in the womb of our client, right in the room
- 29:02of our, of the person in the family that's purchasing this
- 29:05process, right. So the IVF clinic knows when
- 29:07life begins. The human biology textbook knows
- 29:09when life begins. The scientist knows when life
- 29:11begins. Somehow politicians and the law
- 29:13has not caught up because the reality is if you are human
- 29:17life, you should have human rights.
- 29:20The idea, the whole idea of a human right is that human rights
- 29:24are universal and inalienable. Our own Declaration of
- 29:27Independence says this, that we are endowed by our creator with
- 29:30certain inalienable rights and the universal rights.
- 29:33And the first of these is life, liberty and the pursuit of
- 29:35happiness. And life comes first.
- 29:38So that means that all human beings, if you are human, then
- 29:41you have the right to life and you have it by, by virtue of
- 29:44being human. You don't need any other special
- 29:46trappings. You don't need to be 1 year old,
- 29:472 year old, 5 year old, newborn, 20 year old.
- 29:50You ought to be strong. You don't need to be without
- 29:52disability. You don't need to be a certain
- 29:54sex, race, ethnicity, gender, nationality.
- 29:58You just need to be a human. If you are human, that's enough.
- 30:02So the probably position is simple.
- 30:03Well, you're human as an embryo from the moment of
- 30:06fertilization, you deserve to not be killed.
- 30:10You deserve to not be killed, and you should have the legal
- 30:13right to not be killed. And so our job as a
- 30:16civilization, as a society, is to have laws that protect both
- 30:20the weak and the strong, and that includes the weakest in the
- 30:22womb. And they deserve equal
- 30:24protection under the law with the newborn, with the 20 year
- 30:27old, with the 50 year old right. And our 14th Amendment to the US
- 30:30Constitution has an equal protection clause.
- 30:33It says that everybody, all persons should be treated the
- 30:35same under the law. And so if you're human, you
- 30:38should be treated the same as another human.
- 30:39And that extends to the human in the womb.
- 30:41So the, the logic here is pristine.
- 30:45It's reasonable beyond all belief.
- 30:46It's logical. The science is clear.
- 30:49So where's the rub with IVF? Well, the rub with IVF is this.
- 30:53In the United States today, there are virtually no
- 30:58regulations of IVF. What does this mean?
- 31:01This means that you can go and you can purchase someone's egg
- 31:05or someone's sperm. You can go and create multiple
- 31:07lives in an IVF clinic if you pay for it.
- 31:10You can create 20. You can create 30.
- 31:12You can decide based on the gender of these embryos or what
- 31:16you perceive to be the health or the the potential to grow of the
- 31:20embryo, how genetically perfect they are, whether you want to
- 31:24keep them or kill them. You can just kill them outright
- 31:27if you want. You can then freeze them
- 31:29indefinitely if you want, because maybe you made 4 embryos
- 31:34and you did 2 and you're not sure that you want the two
- 31:36others. So you have these embryos
- 31:38frozen. You're paying 1000 bucks a year
- 31:40to continue to freeze these embryos.
- 31:42And if you implant the embryos in a surrogate or yourself, you
- 31:46can decide after maybe a few weeks, few months of that
- 31:50pregnancy to abort that baby or to abort one of the babies
- 31:54because maybe you implanted two or three.
- 31:57This is a practice called selective reduction, where
- 31:59multiple embryos can be implanted legally.
- 32:01And then the mother or the family of the who's paying the
- 32:04surrogate can say, no, we want to have an abortion on one or
- 32:08two of these embryos. There's too many, there's an
- 32:09issue, we don't like it. Whatever.
- 32:11This happens, this is not just a theory, this happens.
- 32:15The reality is this is all legal in most of the country.
- 32:19In a country like Italy, as an example, it's illegal to freeze
- 32:22embryos at large and it's illegal to destroy them.
- 32:25They have IVF in Italy, they have IVF in other countries
- 32:29throughout Europe, but there are far more regulations in most
- 32:31countries. America is the Wild West of
- 32:35reproduction of IVF. You allow, we allow, anything
- 32:38goes. And in Alabama, all the families
- 32:42wanted was legal status or legal right to sue the clinic that
- 32:48recklessly allowed their babies to be destroyed.
- 32:52And the Alabama Supreme Court said, yes, you're allowed to
- 32:55sue. That's it.
- 32:56You're allowed to sue. And after that, all the pro
- 33:00lifers in Alabama, the governor, the Senate, the legislature,
- 33:05they all got together and said, Oh, no, the poor IVF industry,
- 33:09they're mad, they're sad. We've got to be pro-life and
- 33:12support IVF. And so we're going to pass a
- 33:15law. And this is what just went into
- 33:16effect. We're going to pull up the
- 33:18headline here. We're going to pass a law to
- 33:21give total civil and criminal immunity to IVF clinics in the
- 33:27state of Alabama. I mean, let's break this down.
- 33:30It's so insane. They're saying that if you are
- 33:33an IVF clinic and you intentionally or accidentally
- 33:36through negligence, willful negligence, kill or allow the
- 33:39death of an embryo, you don't have any recourse as the parent
- 33:43to even sue or pursue criminal penalties.
- 33:45And certainly there's no one else who can take on the
- 33:47interest of the child and sue because of their wrongful death.
- 33:50Not a thing now in Alabama. How can these two things exist
- 33:54side by side where it's illegal to abort a baby because they're
- 33:58a baby in Alabama if the baby's in the womb of their mother, but
- 34:01it's not illegal to destroy a baby and, and, and kill them in
- 34:06an IVF clinic. How do these two things
- 34:08logically make sense? They don't.
- 34:11But unfortunately, Governor Kay Ivey just signed this bill into
- 34:14law. This was even after live action
- 34:16brought together with a group of many other pro-life
- 34:18organizations, national organizations, writing a letter
- 34:21expressing our concern about this to the governor.
- 34:24We did this earlier this week and we had multiple people sign
- 34:26on and it's basically said you can't just give complete
- 34:30immunity to IVF clinics. This is this is nonsense.
- 34:33This is not constitutional. It's nonsense.
- 34:36And of course, our letter fell in deaf ears.
- 34:40I want to play one more clip of the response to the State of the
- 34:42Union from Alabama junior state senator, Our junior senator,
- 34:47Excuse me, She's a, she's a, she's a, a federal senator.
- 34:50But Alabama Senator Katie Britt, we're going to play the clip.
- 34:54And we want families to grow. It's why we strongly support
- 34:59continued nationwide access to in vitro fertilization.
- 35:03We want to help loving moms and dads bring precious life into
- 35:07this world. All right, So they chose to put
- 35:11this in there. So President Biden is saying
- 35:13everyone should have IVF and the Republicans, Katie Britt,
- 35:16representing the Republican National Party here, is saying
- 35:19we want to have nationwide access to IVF.
- 35:22We want everyone to be doing this, everyone be doing this
- 35:25unregulated unethical activity that I understand the intention
- 35:29behind it for many well-intentioned parents, but
- 35:32that has so many abuses around it and that has led to the
- 35:35deaths of so many children. How can the pro-life Republican
- 35:38Party before this? It's, it's a huge tragedy.
- 35:41It's a huge mistake that they're making.
- 35:43And I think right now really the the name of the game is
- 35:46education. A lot of people don't know these
- 35:47things. So that's what we're working in
- 35:48at Live Action and that's what other groups are working on, is
- 35:50just educating people about what the IVF industry is actually
- 35:54doing in this country. So unfortunately, it was a
- 35:58tragic presentation from the president, tragic presentation
- 36:01from Katie Britt that she put that in there saying we just
- 36:04need more IVF, more of this unethical practice that's
- 36:07harming ultimately leading the deaths of many children.
- 36:10And obviously tragic that Kate Cox is upheld as this icon of
- 36:15women's empowerment at the State of the Union.
- 36:18I want to leave here on a positive note and then I'm going
- 36:20to see if there's any questions in the, in the in the chat here.
- 36:23Oh, someone just said we can't hear the clips.
- 36:24Oh, no, OK. The clip was Katie Britt, the
- 36:27the senator, the junior senator from Alabama.
- 36:29And she was saying she's a Republican, She's responding to
- 36:32Biden and she's saying we need families to have, I think she
- 36:37used the word nationwide access to IVF.
- 36:39So she's basically doubling down and saying we need IVF
- 36:43everywhere. It's just tragic, right?
- 36:45And that's, I mean, sharing that clip because there's no
- 36:48difference here now between the Republicans and the and the
- 36:50Democrats on this. There's no standards, there's no
- 36:53regulation, anything for the IVF industry.
- 36:55And it's just a wild, Wild West out there.
- 36:59All right, leaving here on a positive note.
- 37:03We've found that when people are educated on these things, when
- 37:05they learn about human development in the womb and they
- 37:08learn about what abortion procedures do to babies, they
- 37:11become more pro-life. We see this in focus groups and
- 37:13surveys that live action regularly does.
- 37:15So be encouraged by that. Educating people about what
- 37:18these procedures actually do to babies, Educating people about
- 37:21the humanity of the baby does make a big difference.
- 37:24Most people are not well educated.
- 37:26The second thing is this politicians, they're just going
- 37:29with the wind. They're trying to do what's
- 37:31going to get them their next election.
- 37:32One, they're trying to not make too many enemies.
- 37:36And so if they feel like they're getting major pushback from the
- 37:39media, right, like these Alabama Alabamians who were pro-life
- 37:43that we're so scared about, oh, poor IVF, now we have to pass
- 37:46complete legal immunity unity for them.
- 37:49You know, that's, that's a human nature to some degree, we're
- 37:52defending one's position of power, being fearful, etcetera.
- 37:56But if we are strong enough in our position, if we are loud
- 38:00enough with our position, and if we continue to take background
- 38:03on social media, in media by spreading the truth, which is
- 38:07what we do at Live action and what I know all of you guys are
- 38:09interested in doing, we can combat that, that pressure that
- 38:14politicians feel to do the wrong thing by providing pressure for
- 38:17them to do the right thing. So closing message here is be
- 38:21outspoken. Get your facts and be very
- 38:24outspoken with them. Be proud of being pro-life.
- 38:27Be proud of your position. It is the loving position.
- 38:30Abortion is not loving. These IVF practices are not
- 38:33loving. It is the loving position.
- 38:35It can be a hard truth for some people to hear, but do it
- 38:38obviously with compassion and it will help change the course of
- 38:41this country. And so thank you for being
- 38:43willing to do that work with me because we can do it together
- 38:46and we can change the course of this country.
- 38:48I'm going to look to the chat for a moment here to see if
- 38:51there's any questions. SY says.
- 38:55Lila, what is your opinion for on DNC for miscarriage?
- 39:00I feel that's cruel to my mom when she lost her baby at 20
- 39:03weeks was induced. I would find it immoral to
- 39:06remove the baby in pieces. I mean I I have friends who have
- 39:10miscarried and the doctor was recommending AD and C if the
- 39:14baby is passed away and dead and that is the safest way to remove
- 39:18the baby or what the doctors you know you're talking with your
- 39:21doctors, working with your doctor on that.
- 39:23I don't think it's morally wrong to remove the baby.
- 39:26I can understand how it's incredibly emotionally painful,
- 39:29but often in miscarriage, the baby can come apart anyways in
- 39:31the process, depending on how long the baby's been miscarried.
- 39:35In my miscarriage, it was earlier miscarriage, but the
- 39:38baby was already, you know, disintegrated.
- 39:40So, you know, it's, it's, it's heartbreaking and tragic, but
- 39:44there's no immorality to it because this baby has already
- 39:47passed. And the intention, of course, is
- 39:49to be respectful and loving. And at that point, you want to
- 39:52make sure the baby has fully passed from the body so that
- 39:55there's no infection. All right, let's see here and
- 39:59we'll take one or two other questions.
- 40:01Oh, did you do a podcast episode on what happened in France?
- 40:04Thank you for the question. I meant to include this briefly
- 40:08because it's a headline and we did some content on it earlier
- 40:11this week. But yes, France did just
- 40:12enshrine abortion in their constitution.
- 40:15Totally tragic. They lit up the Eiffel Tower
- 40:17afterwards. And I've been talking with some
- 40:20people from France and they say the pro-life movement isn't
- 40:22really strong here. We don't really have pro-life.
- 40:25You know, a big pro-life movement, we don't have pro-life
- 40:26politicians right now representing us.
- 40:29So I think it's a Clarion call to people of good faith and good
- 40:32conscience in France to say we got to we got to get together
- 40:35and build a movement because the opposition has a movement and
- 40:39they've just done something unprecedented.
- 40:41And enshrining abortion in the constitution.
- 40:43Can it be reversed? Of course it can be reversed.
- 40:46This is not the end. This might be just the
- 40:48beginning. And the fight is on in France.
- 40:52OK, we'll do just one or two more questions here.
- 40:54Will you have any more collaborations with Ruslan?
- 40:57Yes, of course. He's my friend.
- 40:59Actually, he'll be at our event at Live Actions event a week
- 41:03from this Saturday in Irvine, CA, and he's one of our
- 41:06speakers. There's still some tickets left,
- 41:08I think, so check it out at liveaction.org.
- 41:10But yeah, Ruslan is awesome. All right, last question I'm
- 41:15going to just tackle here. OK, This is a controversial one.
- 41:18I have a cousin in Mexico who suffered 2 miscarriages.
- 41:21I suspect the vaccine had something to do with it.
- 41:23What do you think, Lila? I don't know.
- 41:26I mean, I know that I've read some of the research that shows
- 41:28that there was a higher risk of miscarriage for women who did
- 41:31get the vaccine. I did not get the vaccine
- 41:34because I thought it was too experimental and the risk for
- 41:36COVID for me was low. And I didn't think that it was
- 41:40fair or necessary that the government was forcing everyone
- 41:43to do this, you know, effectively coercing people to
- 41:45do this. I have a lot more opinions about
- 41:48vaccines. Maybe we'll talk about them in
- 41:49another episode. But I do think there are some
- 41:52concerning studies and links between the vaccine, the COVID
- 41:56vaccine and the risk to women. So before you take it, if you're
- 42:01if you're going to take it as a woman, hopefully you're not
- 42:04certainly read that research because it does exist and
- 42:07there's increasingly more of it. All right, that's a wrap.
- 42:10Thank you guys so much for joining the Live Today.
- 42:12Thank you for joining the Lila Rose Podcast and we will see you
- 42:16guys next week.
