- 1:34Speaker 1: Marcus Harvey. The Ghost Brothers have been that first last
- 1:37Speaker 1: six years, traveling around the count as a team chasing ghosts.
- 1:40Speaker 1: You hear what I'm saying, ghosts together. Now, the Ghost
- 1:44Speaker 1: Brothers are coming together to bring you the first paranormal
- 1:47Speaker 1: podcast from Discovery Plus called Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers,
- 1:51Speaker 1: which launched this month as well. So we're catching it
- 1:54Speaker 1: in the process because it's only gonna be ten episodes.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Daylyns started this whole par normal adventure after he had
- 2:01Speaker 1: dreamed that he had dreamed about it and he should
- 2:04Speaker 1: be exploring the unknown. So he convinced Juan that they
- 2:07Speaker 1: should hunt ghost Now. I don't know how you wake
- 2:09Speaker 1: a brother up and convinced another black man convinced another
- 2:12Speaker 1: black man they should be hunting ghosts. So you know,
- 2:15Speaker 1: right there there's some different black friends. They're different black men.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You know, one brother and he said yeah. But first
- 2:20Speaker 1: of all, let's he said yeah. Then they brought in
- 2:22Speaker 1: another black dude named Marcus. He said, yeah too. On
- 2:25Speaker 1: the show today they would talk about the craziest myth
- 2:27Speaker 1: and legends with the help of top paranormal investigative celebrities
- 2:31Speaker 1: and friends. Please worcome to money making conversations. The host
- 2:34Speaker 1: of Urban Legends with the Ghost Brothers podcast, Dayls Spratt,
- 2:37Speaker 1: Juan Miss and Marcus Harvey. How you doing, Fellas Less?
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know, rarely do I mess up an intro like that, man,
- 2:45Speaker 1: So I'm excited to get to you guys, you know,
- 2:48Speaker 1: especially off air when Marcus told me he does stand
- 2:51Speaker 1: up comedy. Is that true? Marcus, Hey, google it. It's
- 2:56Speaker 1: very easy to google. Okay, No, day just Dayla just
- 3:01Speaker 1: pushed back when I said that isn't for real. Listen, listen, man,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I don't follow Marcus all over the country going to
- 3:08Speaker 1: his stand up shows. Man, I'll tell you he kills him.
- 3:11Speaker 1: He kills it, Okay. And that's why we're good at
- 3:13Speaker 1: the paranormal because I'm very I'm very solided knowing how
- 3:17Speaker 1: to find people after I kill him. Oh my god, Okay,
- 3:22Speaker 1: let me get off of this right now. What your
- 3:28Speaker 1: day is? Your is your jersey that says, so HBCU.
- 3:31Speaker 1: That's the only thing that's credibility right now, after you
- 3:33Speaker 1: just backed up Marcus Jawan, you want to talk on
- 3:36Speaker 1: this before we move on about the standard commented career.
- 3:39Speaker 1: He's the next day of Chappelle. Man, listen, he is
- 3:42Speaker 1: the next Marcus Harvey. I'm telling you right now, my
- 3:44Speaker 1: brother ain't out here explaining to himself because it's true.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It's so his confidence is so silent. I've heard him.
- 3:51Speaker 1: He's killing him with these jokes. Okay, cool, Now, I
- 3:54Speaker 1: will admit this fellas. You know, it's a trio. You guys.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You know all they all met on the campus of
- 4:00Speaker 1: Clark Atlanta University. Marcus couldn't have Jiwan and Dylan there
- 4:05Speaker 1: was attending school. They attended school so long that they
- 4:07Speaker 1: plays there. I wouldn't say the great fraternity that consider
- 4:10Speaker 1: the all black fraternities great calf Alpha side. You know
- 4:14Speaker 1: you got the Alphas out there. Of course, I remember
- 4:16Speaker 1: making side fire as well. I got the nukes that
- 4:21Speaker 1: we're only talking about Queues and Cappers right now. The
- 4:24Speaker 1: Capps got are going on because they got two brothers
- 4:26Speaker 1: starring on the television show and Discovery for us alone
- 4:29Speaker 1: with Marcus. Now, Marcus, you know I'm a partner cutter fraternity.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I never say again again stop all that. You know,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'm about to some some humor to talk about because
- 4:40Speaker 1: if you watch the series, the Ghost Brothers series, the
- 4:43Speaker 1: comedy relief always comes from you. Market I give you
- 4:45Speaker 1: blessings on that, brother. You are very entertaining and very
- 4:49Speaker 1: funny in the series. Now, when I start breaking down characters,
- 4:52Speaker 1: the analytical one always seems to be dal and your
- 4:56Speaker 1: character and Jawa. You sit back there like you like
- 4:59Speaker 1: the whoa whoa, whoa whoa slow down type? Brother? Am
- 5:02Speaker 1: I right in describing your personalities? I think that's pretty
- 5:07Speaker 1: spot on, that spot on. I mean, if you if
- 5:10Speaker 1: you wanted to sum it up in five words. Yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 1: but listen to on this podcast and we get to
- 5:15Speaker 1: use many many words. We can give you a little
- 5:17Speaker 1: bit more. Okay, okay, okay, I apologize. I'll just tell
- 5:22Speaker 1: from from my perspective Ghost Brothers. Okay, Marcus, describe your
- 5:26Speaker 1: character on the show. Describe your character on the Ghost
- 5:29Speaker 1: Brothers series. Marcus, Okay, I'll do this. I'll do you
- 5:32Speaker 1: one better. I'll describe Juwan Jowan's approach to it. Juan
- 5:37Speaker 1: brings um daring this to our show. He brings dariness
- 5:42Speaker 1: to our investigations. He's never scared, but he does get startled,
- 5:46Speaker 1: which is two different things. You know what I'm saying,
- 5:49Speaker 1: there's two different things. He just always is on alert
- 5:53Speaker 1: so he can get started. He's always ready for something,
- 5:55Speaker 1: but he's always ready to actually go into whatever we
- 5:58Speaker 1: need to go into. Uh. Typically he's always doalt to
- 6:02Speaker 1: go investigate. I mean, this man probably go to the
- 6:05Speaker 1: to the edge of hill to investigate something, to see
- 6:08Speaker 1: something really happened and uh and still keep the spirit
- 6:11Speaker 1: clean because he just don't do man. So, I mean,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that's what you want. Brings to the show. You know,
- 6:15Speaker 1: he's intelligent, he asked great questions, he's very thorough. He
- 6:20Speaker 1: just dope. So Jawan give me feedback on Marcus Man.
- 6:27Speaker 1: He didn't lie. He didn't lie. I'll tell you that
- 6:29Speaker 1: my man is gonna tell and shame the devil. That's
- 6:32Speaker 1: how Marcus be investigating. He's consistent in his uh, in
- 6:36Speaker 1: his approach to the paranormal. Um. He's always there to
- 6:39Speaker 1: offer uh that comedy relief as you said. But like
- 6:43Speaker 1: Marcus is is like we we all have our names,
- 6:46Speaker 1: right I'm the paranormal Poppy that was the bad boy
- 6:49Speaker 1: of paranormal And Marcus is the soul brother, right Like,
- 6:52Speaker 1: he's the one that everybody kind of gravitates towards. He
- 6:55Speaker 1: brings his comfort and and and comedy that that you
- 6:58Speaker 1: need in these particular moments. Uh. And he's never afraid
- 7:03Speaker 1: to be vulnerable, and he holds that that hat very well,
- 7:06Speaker 1: very well. Now, Dayla, tell me about your character on
- 7:09Speaker 1: the show of the Ghost part the series before we
- 7:11Speaker 1: go into the podcast. Right. So, I'm what they call
- 7:14Speaker 1: the sex symbol of the group. I believe that. I
- 7:17Speaker 1: believe every tree, every trio needs one. And that's from
- 7:20Speaker 1: the camera. Boy. Hey, hey, you know what you want
- 7:28Speaker 1: when you start lying, you get close, you get clothes,
- 7:30Speaker 1: you startling. You ever know that you start lying, you
- 7:32Speaker 1: get real close to people, you see, man? He basically
- 7:38Speaker 1: that's another one side. When people started about they get
- 7:41Speaker 1: real clothes, you go, hey, man, back off, back off, brother,
- 7:44Speaker 1: we got to be that close. He saw left it out,
- 7:45Speaker 1: the bio left it out. The bio. I'm gonna go ahead,
- 7:48Speaker 1: chack that I'm gonna be the sex symple. That's what
- 7:56Speaker 1: happens when you chase too many ghosts. I'm saying, you
- 7:58Speaker 1: got that stuff. You know, some coast has been talking
- 8:00Speaker 1: to you in the wrong ear. You see, you're sexy.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Come into this room, You're sexy. So some people called
- 8:10Speaker 1: it the Beyonce of the group. I'm just trying to
- 8:12Speaker 1: show Beyonce. Ya Kelly, I'm killing. I'm gonna be killing
- 8:21Speaker 1: killing Kelly today. I'm Kelly today. I love it. Now
- 8:26Speaker 1: I'm going back to Jawan. Now. Now what those names
- 8:29Speaker 1: you said you now, you said soul brother, you said
- 8:32Speaker 1: he's the paring on Poppy, he's act And who is
- 8:36Speaker 1: Daylan the by? What do you wipe it off with? Baby?
- 8:47Speaker 1: This is the this is the part. This is the
- 8:50Speaker 1: part that kind of disappoint me in the podcast because
- 8:53Speaker 1: people don't get to see y'all crazy. But see, I
- 8:56Speaker 1: love to see because see when I watched the show
- 8:58Speaker 1: that's I enjoy I was dead on because what you
- 9:02Speaker 1: said use short descriptions. I was dead on about each
- 9:05Speaker 1: one of y'all. You the common relieve uh Captain Sexy
- 9:09Speaker 1: up there. You know, he always want to be up front.
- 9:11Speaker 1: He always want to go in the house real quick,
- 9:13Speaker 1: and you wanna always go hey, man, hold up now.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But we got the facts who died in there? Who
- 9:18Speaker 1: he always wants to know the movement, you know, yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 1: they're the one. Just open the door, walk in. He's
- 9:24Speaker 1: just gonna what's going on, y'all. H Hold up, brother,
- 9:29Speaker 1: we gotta know what what's happening on the other side
- 9:32Speaker 1: of the door. Marcus, he outside, go we don't have
- 9:36Speaker 1: to go in. I'm already I'm going through the window
- 9:40Speaker 1: at that right, you're on the floor. He said, someone
- 9:46Speaker 1: tell us about the ghost busteres. Y'all, if they listen
- 9:48Speaker 1: to Marcus, there would be no serious because Marcus don't
- 9:51Speaker 1: ever want to go in the house. Marcus do want
- 9:54Speaker 1: to go outside. He wants to investigate outside. He wouldn't
- 9:57Speaker 1: investigate ourse. So so they don't listen to Marcus when
- 10:03Speaker 1: they start putting together the show. Now now they let
- 10:06Speaker 1: get you killed. Dayland will get you killed and you
- 10:08Speaker 1: don't even know why you and so we all know
- 10:12Speaker 1: that arrived. I like that. But so now we moved
- 10:15Speaker 1: on to the whole new platform and this podcast successful series. Uh,
- 10:22Speaker 1: three Black men Chasing ghosts. Already, that's a reach, you know,
- 10:28Speaker 1: in the world of reality in the black community. You know,
- 10:31Speaker 1: white both have been chasing ghosts for years. You know
- 10:33Speaker 1: that black people, you know, we knew about voodoo, we
- 10:36Speaker 1: know about Luigi board, but we never really admitted it
- 10:39Speaker 1: to ghosts. How did y'all break that wall? And I
- 10:44Speaker 1: can go with each one you guys going starward Jawan,
- 10:47Speaker 1: how did you break that wall? Because Dayla came with
- 10:50Speaker 1: the idea that y'all could be successful, and y'all are
- 10:53Speaker 1: very successful in this paranormal format. Yeah, honestly we is.
- 11:01Speaker 1: We I think we leaned on the fact that we
- 11:03Speaker 1: were ignorant, so we really didn't know what we were
- 11:06Speaker 1: getting into, you know what I mean. And I think
- 11:09Speaker 1: that allowed us to just continue through this journey and
- 11:12Speaker 1: try out new things and then you learn along the way.
- 11:14Speaker 1: They're like, yo, you might not want to be playing
- 11:16Speaker 1: with this, but I think that like our like ignorance
- 11:19Speaker 1: was bliss in that moment and it and it worked
- 11:21Speaker 1: out for us. Also think that we um utilized each
- 11:26Speaker 1: other in our relationships. Like I think we're extremely comfortable
- 11:30Speaker 1: with each other and we were already brothers, so it's
- 11:31Speaker 1: easy for us to kind of be vulnerable in particular
- 11:34Speaker 1: moments that you know, we weren't used to, So that
- 11:37Speaker 1: allowed us to kind of like high the fact that
- 11:41Speaker 1: we were kind of fearful or not knowing what we
- 11:43Speaker 1: were doing. Absolutely now now day. The whole concept of
- 11:49Speaker 1: ten episodes and each episode is tied to an urban
- 11:53Speaker 1: legend or myth what built that concept out, which which
- 11:59Speaker 1: is totally effort from what you guys are doing on
- 12:01Speaker 1: your series. But I love it. I love the fact
- 12:04Speaker 1: that you're focused on one per episode. It's not all
- 12:07Speaker 1: over the place, so when people come to the table,
- 12:10Speaker 1: it's set up and you get people engage. With the
- 12:13Speaker 1: way you guys do your research and how you interview people,
- 12:17Speaker 1: y'all really do do y'all do a fantastic job or
- 12:19Speaker 1: the producers as well. I don't want to give you
- 12:21Speaker 1: guys credit because you gotta have a team to get
- 12:23Speaker 1: there of setting up their story and making it very entertaining.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Talk about the whole process with your podcast, Yeah, man,
- 12:31Speaker 1: it's it's a different form of media with it just
- 12:34Speaker 1: being just us talking, but it's dope because it's still
- 12:37Speaker 1: in the same vein. So with us Hunting Ghost, we
- 12:39Speaker 1: literally go all over the country from state to state,
- 12:42Speaker 1: chasing all these parents on the stories. But in doing so,
- 12:45Speaker 1: we realize that literally every state has its own specific
- 12:49Speaker 1: urban legend, which is cool, which is totally different from
- 12:52Speaker 1: your typical ghost stories, right because now we're breaking into
- 12:56Speaker 1: the ideas of things like Choop a Cabra or the
- 13:00Speaker 1: cry Baby Bridge, or even like Draj Devon the New
- 13:04Speaker 1: Jersey Devil, or Candy Man, like literally all these wild
- 13:09Speaker 1: claims that have been circulating around the country for years.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We get to seriously just to explore. But from the
- 13:16Speaker 1: comfort of a studio. It ain't no more late nights,
- 13:19Speaker 1: ain't no more investigating. We'll be right back from me.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Want to make conversation with the Apple team exploring like
- 13:30Speaker 1: you said, all these uh same time. That can't him
- 13:33Speaker 1: back as I can do my conversation. And then we've
- 13:36Speaker 1: had with Jie. He's gonna be appearing on one of
- 13:43Speaker 1: the podcasts we have several other dope are guests who are,
- 13:47Speaker 1: you know, paranormal experts just just a comedian. You're telling
- 13:52Speaker 1: me he's paranormal. Nah, he has some experiences. Because what
- 13:56Speaker 1: we do is we actually take calls from all of
- 13:58Speaker 1: our fans and people who have actually had experiences some
- 14:01Speaker 1: of these things, and they call us, call in and
- 14:03Speaker 1: tell us about their experiences and we just pretty much
- 14:05Speaker 1: just review it and just really get deep down into
- 14:08Speaker 1: these type of like uh do dope urban legends, Yeah,
- 14:12Speaker 1: these urban legends, you know. And then just to add
- 14:14Speaker 1: with Juanna was saying, Um, I think like you said, Um,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I would say that. To add another word, I would add,
- 14:19Speaker 1: we were very curious, um, and you know what this
- 14:24Speaker 1: could be because not only do we look at things
- 14:26Speaker 1: just you know, for face value, but we also look
- 14:28Speaker 1: at the opportunity to break into something that nobody's ever
- 14:32Speaker 1: done before, whether and because we've never even done it before,
- 14:35Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So knowing that we were
- 14:36Speaker 1: the only ones in the field who are African Americans
- 14:40Speaker 1: who were seeing it from our perspective, who are going
- 14:42Speaker 1: to bring the type of energy that we were gonna
- 14:43Speaker 1: bring it, we knew that though you know, everybody in
- 14:46Speaker 1: that field was Caucasian, you know, we could bring a
- 14:50Speaker 1: different flavor and and everybody's everybody if every race goes
- 14:54Speaker 1: to the other side, so it's not excluded just to
- 14:57Speaker 1: you know, the Caucasian race. So that's why we kind
- 14:58Speaker 1: of I think I've had are found our dopes rhythm,
- 15:01Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. We'll be right back with
- 15:03Speaker 1: more mind making conversation with the stars of the Discovery
- 15:05Speaker 1: Plus series Ghost Brothers. It's finally here, the season of celebration,
- 15:11Speaker 1: and no matter how you celebrate with family and friends,

- 15:42Speaker 1: and under Armour. And in the spirit of giving, Coals
- 15:46Speaker 1: Cares is donating eight million dollars to local nonprofits nationwide

- 16:13Speaker 1: of a wizard with arms outstretched to the sky. They
- 16:17Speaker 1: see treasure and pebbles. They see a windy path that
- 16:20Speaker 1: could lead to adventure, and they see you. They're fearless. Guide.

- 17:06Speaker 1: to money Making Conversations as I continue my conversation with
- 17:10Speaker 1: the stars of the Discovery Plus series Ghost Brothers Now Dayland.
- 17:14Speaker 1: This was your idea from job from the standpoint of
- 17:17Speaker 1: just a conception, you know, saying, man, I feel this
- 17:20Speaker 1: is a reality, but not, you know, because it can
- 17:24Speaker 1: easily become a joke. And I'm just gonna tell everybody
- 17:27Speaker 1: it's a fantastically produced series. I enjoy it. It is
- 17:32Speaker 1: coming from their point of view. And when I see
- 17:35Speaker 1: that point of view, because I really do believe Marcus
- 17:38Speaker 1: is scared. It's a scaredy cat. I really do believe
- 17:41Speaker 1: you don't want go in the house what I'm saying.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And he complains about the cold, he complains about doing
- 17:47Speaker 1: it at night, he complains by the everything. But it's
- 17:50Speaker 1: all the reality of how you would think. That's why
- 17:52Speaker 1: I like the serious because see, I don't tell people.
- 17:55Speaker 1: If you're saying something I'm thinking, then guess what you
- 17:57Speaker 1: got me? And so so Becus is that one guy
- 18:01Speaker 1: that kind of like throws all that logic into the
- 18:04Speaker 1: such situation, did you have, Daylon? He's there, He's that
- 18:08Speaker 1: intuitive guy. He used to invest in your why we
- 18:11Speaker 1: He wants to get to the truth. But Jawa's characters
- 18:14Speaker 1: always tied to if you're gonna get you the truth,
- 18:17Speaker 1: let's apply facts to it. Let's just some barge into
- 18:20Speaker 1: the situation without understanding the full rapifications of the journey.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Now Daylyn with me saying all that, was that the
- 18:27Speaker 1: perspective that you wanted the serious to be about, or
- 18:30Speaker 1: just developed that way, you know what, It's a little
- 18:32Speaker 1: bit of both, to be honest, because we're genuinely all
- 18:36Speaker 1: three really close friends. It's not like most reality televisions
- 18:40Speaker 1: that are scripted and you bring it together a cast
- 18:43Speaker 1: of people and you force these relationships. So we've been
- 18:46Speaker 1: hanging around together for twenty years, so we each have
- 18:50Speaker 1: our own distinct personalities, which you know, in effect makes
- 18:53Speaker 1: us friends. So we kind of already fall into those
- 18:56Speaker 1: separate categories just in our day to day friendships. Anyway,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and when it was time to cast the show and
- 19:01Speaker 1: put the show together, you know what I mean, those friendships,
- 19:04Speaker 1: those levels of relationships just shine through with the cast,
- 19:07Speaker 1: Like we didn't even have to interview any more people,
- 19:09Speaker 1: Like it was literally just us three and everybody was like, oh, well,
- 19:13Speaker 1: Marcus is funny, you know, Daln is daring, and ju
- 19:16Speaker 1: One has that level of factual intelligence that we wanted,
- 19:19Speaker 1: like we care about. It was like we all had
- 19:22Speaker 1: the same. You know, we have those three different personalities.
- 19:25Speaker 1: And if you look at reality TV, like a lot
- 19:28Speaker 1: of reality shows, it's all the same type of personality archetypes.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It's only like ten or Elevin that make it onto
- 19:35Speaker 1: reality TV, and you just so happen, you know, we
- 19:38Speaker 1: just so happen to fall into three of those categories. Now,
- 19:42Speaker 1: it's interesting thing because I know that you know, Marcus
- 19:46Speaker 1: gave me the cliff Notes version of your podcast. You know,
- 19:49Speaker 1: he threw out celebrities and stopped, you know, didn't even
- 19:53Speaker 1: let me interview nobody. You know, that's how he always did.
- 19:56Speaker 1: He just jumps out of start talking. You know, this
- 19:58Speaker 1: this whole podcast in the you've been over in five
- 20:01Speaker 1: minutes messing with Marcus, you know, get through our once
- 20:03Speaker 1: celebrity it says a whole bunch of more. Okay, we're
- 20:06Speaker 1: gonna be balling. We're gonna go all over. You know,
- 20:08Speaker 1: we're gonna do the Brooklyn, We're gonna do the New
- 20:10Speaker 1: Jersey Devil. That's it. Watch listen, so let me slow
- 20:14Speaker 1: and dive. Mr Marcus allowed me to interview y'all. Okay, now, Joan,
- 20:21Speaker 1: how did y'all come up with these ten different podcasts
- 20:26Speaker 1: miss so the ten like it started with the honestly,
- 20:31Speaker 1: we knew about a few of them, right, Like there's
- 20:34Speaker 1: all there's there's some that are more notorious than others
- 20:37Speaker 1: like candy Man. You have Bloody Mary h Trooper, Cobra,
- 20:42Speaker 1: Craybaby Bridge, but then you have others like slender Man,
- 20:46Speaker 1: moth Man that you we had to scour the internet
- 20:51Speaker 1: and ask people, like we we asked people to give
- 20:54Speaker 1: us their interesting encounters with urban legends, right, and we
- 20:57Speaker 1: allowed them to be guests on the show. And then
- 21:00Speaker 1: like we have our honest feedback from those particular subject matters.
- 21:04Speaker 1: So we reached out to you know, the paranormal community
- 21:07Speaker 1: and and and found some new information and did our
- 21:10Speaker 1: research to kind of get some of these other these
- 21:13Speaker 1: broad topics because I mean, in my honest opinion, I
- 21:15Speaker 1: didn't know, Like there's a couple that I didn't know, right,
- 21:18Speaker 1: and I had to really learn. I'm talking to the
- 21:21Speaker 1: Ghost Brothers as Dalen, Jiwan and Marcus that have new
- 21:24Speaker 1: podcast series that will have just ten episodes to talk
- 21:27Speaker 1: about stories and what's exciting about the scary aspect of
- 21:30Speaker 1: what listeners want to hear when it comes to this
- 21:32Speaker 1: whole Ghost Paranora world, that the episodes are available on apples, Spotify,
- 21:37Speaker 1: or whether you can get your podcasts now. Like I said,
- 21:41Speaker 1: I know about Candy Man. I'm not gonna claim to
- 21:43Speaker 1: be an expert, but I always knew about Candy Man.
- 21:45Speaker 1: In fact, the movie just came out and was number
- 21:47Speaker 1: one of the box office, but I always felt like
- 21:50Speaker 1: I knew. You know, the Luigi Board. I grew up,
- 21:53Speaker 1: you know, put your hands and fingers on the Luigi
- 21:55Speaker 1: Board and it's supposed to take you to each letter.
- 21:58Speaker 1: And I'm at one time we said a where is
- 22:00Speaker 1: our daddy? You know it's beer. You black folks had
- 22:15Speaker 1: the Wegia board. I'm telling my fami, we have no money,
- 22:17Speaker 1: but we had that Wegia board. Okay. And so so
- 22:21Speaker 1: when you talk about myths, the candid man, you know,
- 22:24Speaker 1: saying his name, isn't that the terror in it? Is?
- 22:28Speaker 1: All the fear is that it could actually happen, you know,
- 22:34Speaker 1: you know it' isn't that the real fear dayla that
- 22:36Speaker 1: you know, I don't believe, but I'm not crazy enough
- 22:40Speaker 1: to find out if it's really gonna happen. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:43Speaker 1: And that's exactly the like the whole heartedly true anytime
- 22:47Speaker 1: there's four involved. It's that small element of realism that
- 22:52Speaker 1: drives people over the edge. And I think that's when
- 22:54Speaker 1: a lot of like horror and scary paranormal stuff missed
- 22:58Speaker 1: these days. That's the difference from like your old movies
- 23:01Speaker 1: like Candy Man, or It's or like given me all
- 23:05Speaker 1: those great Jason's and right, there was always that small
- 23:10Speaker 1: level of like realism or like or could it be
- 23:12Speaker 1: could this actually happen? That actually pushes people over the edge.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And yeah, I think we still live in that same
- 23:19Speaker 1: level of curiosity, and that's what works. I'll be changing
- 23:22Speaker 1: man fears, fear and darkness is like you don't want
- 23:27Speaker 1: them to enter the room. At the same time, you know,
- 23:28Speaker 1: you don't want to look under your bed, you know
- 23:30Speaker 1: what I'm saying, because somebody might look up at you,
- 23:33Speaker 1: look at you with eyeball. You want to look out
- 23:35Speaker 1: of your ben tyes looking back at you. You know something.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You don't want to look in the corner your bedroom
- 23:40Speaker 1: and it's just dark, you know what I'm saying. And
- 23:42Speaker 1: you don't have no blanket, you know. The blanket is
- 23:45Speaker 1: like the ultimate protector when you're afraid you know proven
- 23:50Speaker 1: on markets. Talk to us about that man, because I
- 23:52Speaker 1: know M did a study on blanket protection um during
- 23:57Speaker 1: paranormal It's whole study. You guys gotta go see it,
- 24:01Speaker 1: Go go google it's hey. I'm telling you rule though,
- 24:04Speaker 1: because the rule, the rule. What that is as long
- 24:07Speaker 1: as all of your body is covered, like no, you
- 24:09Speaker 1: can't have any limbs expose, no told, But you have
- 24:12Speaker 1: your head. Don't you want to write your head right? No? No, no,
- 24:16Speaker 1: everything that's to that's like next level because you gotta
- 24:19Speaker 1: be able to move swiftly, you know what I mean.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You can your head exposed to see something, but you
- 24:24Speaker 1: gotta pull it back over your head if you don't
- 24:25Speaker 1: want to get I can. I can tell you I didn't.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I can tell you I didn't read the study because
- 24:29Speaker 1: the study said if you expose your head, yeah, and
- 24:31Speaker 1: that's what it literally said. That said on the second
- 24:34Speaker 1: page wasn't work. That's look, that's what they problem is
- 24:37Speaker 1: the only first page readings, y'all cliffs clips. You read
- 24:42Speaker 1: that you want to read that you want to read,
- 24:44Speaker 1: you want to know detail. Okay, see he lied. Now
- 24:47Speaker 1: you're gonna people because the government trying to shut it
- 24:53Speaker 1: down knowledge. He trying to put me off falitation. I'm
- 24:59Speaker 1: back with baby. I love it. You know. I will
- 25:02Speaker 1: tell y'all something about me, man, is that I love
- 25:06Speaker 1: scary movies. I love them. But you know I am
- 25:11Speaker 1: a scaredy cat. Okay, when a good scary movie come on,
- 25:15Speaker 1: I will leave the lights one in the house. I'm
- 25:17Speaker 1: not gonna lie to you. When a good scary movie
- 25:20Speaker 1: hit me, right, I will sleep with that blanket covered. Now.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I do expose the head now, but everything that I
- 25:27Speaker 1: will not leave you there like you over there, like
- 25:31Speaker 1: waffle house swelling covered. I'm just telling you see see See,
- 25:36Speaker 1: that's why y'all come on the show, because I'll be
- 25:37Speaker 1: honest about it. I'm afraid. See what y'all do attracts
- 25:40Speaker 1: me because of the fact that I I want to say,
- 25:44Speaker 1: I don't believe, but I do believe. That's why that
- 25:46Speaker 1: ten episode podcast, I think it's brilliant because you're gonna
- 25:50Speaker 1: allow people to dive into each one of their fears
- 25:54Speaker 1: and then they're gonna learn some more fears that they
- 25:56Speaker 1: didn't even know about. The next thing, you know, it's
- 25:59Speaker 1: another series. It's a ten y'all just can man, you
- 26:02Speaker 1: ain't gonna stop. We ain't gonna stop. You can't stop,
- 26:06Speaker 1: can't stop, won't stop. Get down. We get down good.
- 26:12Speaker 1: So so, so what's next for the Ghost Brothers. You know,
- 26:14Speaker 1: I know each one of you guys, you do this
- 26:15Speaker 1: project together, but I know you've got individual projects. Start
- 26:18Speaker 1: with what you want, what you got working on the table. Brother.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I got a restaurant in Miami. Um yeah, yeah, it's
- 26:28Speaker 1: on South Beach thirteenth in Washington. We opened the year
- 26:32Speaker 1: of So now we're just kind of getting back rolling
- 26:35Speaker 1: because we were right. We were kind of hard. But
- 26:38Speaker 1: now I'll be out be in Miami January eighteen through
- 26:42Speaker 1: twenty for the NAPTI so I make at a point
- 26:45Speaker 1: of reach out and touch you just so I can
- 26:47Speaker 1: drop by. I'll be down there for three days for
- 26:49Speaker 1: National National Association Program Television Executive. I'll be down there
- 26:52Speaker 1: for three days. So your restaurant, what's your name of it?
- 26:55Speaker 1: It's called Heroes Stripping Chicken uh roop. It's a fast,
- 27:02Speaker 1: casual donning experience. Um. If you never heard of herolds
- 27:04Speaker 1: of stated from Chicago. I live in Chicago five years.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I know about Harold Chicken Man. You can stop man
- 27:11Speaker 1: I'm a foodie dude. Not now, Dayla, what's happened in
- 27:13Speaker 1: your world? I know, Dayla got my faux five project.
- 27:15Speaker 1: He can't stay, he can't he can't sit this but
- 27:17Speaker 1: down for nothing now, so, uh, what's actually really dope?
- 27:23Speaker 1: The Ghost Brothers are launching something in the next two
- 27:25Speaker 1: to three weeks. So people always asked us, like, what
- 27:29Speaker 1: is it like traveling on the road when we're filming
- 27:31Speaker 1: our show? Can we tell people it's a lot of
- 27:33Speaker 1: late nights and a lot of early mornings. And in
- 27:36Speaker 1: doing so, man, anytime we get out from these investigations,
- 27:39Speaker 1: we always go get something to eat. We've literally had
- 27:42Speaker 1: breakfasted all over this country and like so we've had
- 27:46Speaker 1: waffles and pancakes everywhere. So we thought it would be
- 27:50Speaker 1: only befitting if we dropped our own gourmet waffle and
- 27:53Speaker 1: pancake mix. So we have the Bros. Gourmet, which is
- 27:56Speaker 1: actually lunching about three weeks with our first waffling pancake
- 28:02Speaker 1: mixes pumpkin spice for the holidays. But yeah, right after that,
- 28:05Speaker 1: we come to you with red velvet and uh, yeah, okay,
- 28:09Speaker 1: you know, because you know, I got a show called
- 28:11Speaker 1: Rushan's kitchen. You know, that's all the other part of
- 28:13Speaker 1: my life is that I'm award winning baker. So give
- 28:16Speaker 1: me some of that and I will put it on
- 28:18Speaker 1: my social media. Every Tuesday and Friday, I post, I
- 28:22Speaker 1: post some recipes. You can look at my recipe right there.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I did uh Land the legs. They send me free
- 28:26Speaker 1: butter so I can make their biscuits, all that stuff.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I got free stuff all the time for my did
- 28:32Speaker 1: that perfect. So I'm seriously like, I just did some
- 28:34Speaker 1: all some punkin donuts that I did and I posted
- 28:37Speaker 1: so punk It's like it's like a hidden flavor because
- 28:40Speaker 1: a lot of black people here punking, there's white folks.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Parking man is outstanding, dude, because they're so used to
- 28:47Speaker 1: sweep potato pies, you know, but punking that's a great
- 28:50Speaker 1: pancake puking pancakes outstanding. And now I got always closed
- 28:54Speaker 1: the show with the headlining here, Marcus, what's happening? What's
- 28:56Speaker 1: happening the headline? Hey man, listen, I want when you
- 29:01Speaker 1: cook them pancakes, I want to be there because I
- 29:03Speaker 1: want to get one of them plumpy pit because you
- 29:05Speaker 1: talked about the listen. We got a lot going on
- 29:08Speaker 1: brose Gore May is gonna be amazing. Um, you guys
- 29:11Speaker 1: could go follow my ourt gallery, the Mussilayer. It's in Atlanta, Georgia,
- 29:16Speaker 1: in keen clod Art District. Uh that's th ch E
- 29:19Speaker 1: Mussi Layer. We have a barbershop full of like amazing groomers,
- 29:25Speaker 1: massage therapists. We have a therapist, mental therapist on deck
- 29:29Speaker 1: to my brother. He's a license therapist who's worked with
- 29:32Speaker 1: Ridgeview for many years. He's also he took his talents
- 29:35Speaker 1: over to us. Uh. So man, we're just really trying
- 29:38Speaker 1: to do some great things to the community. We're gonna
- 29:40Speaker 1: be doing some giveaways or some haircuts for the holidays
- 29:44Speaker 1: and so yeah, man, just tap in, man and just
- 29:47Speaker 1: keep keep keep posted, keep praying for the ghost. Bros Man.
- 29:49Speaker 1: We out here trying to do great things for the community.
- 29:52Speaker 1: We're trying to, you know, raise our beautiful kids. You know, Juwan,
- 29:58Speaker 1: you're on the clock dot because they they gotta that baby.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Gorgeous dude. And no, don't let them put that tresh
- 30:04Speaker 1: pressure on. You don't know I'm doing like that, bro, No, No,
- 30:08Speaker 1: don't take your time. But we're talking about when you
- 30:10Speaker 1: do it, it better be a pretty baby, because that's
- 30:12Speaker 1: that's that's all we have. Nice looking man. Let's he
- 30:16Speaker 1: really goes ugly. It's gonna be hard now to have
- 30:18Speaker 1: a little good looking child come out of the war.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Now you don't know what love. That's what you want
- 30:23Speaker 1: to think, that's what you want. But don't we bring
- 30:27Speaker 1: you no ugly babies to the Ghost Brothers fam, y'all
- 30:29Speaker 1: sound like some bats. You you to me, brother, you
- 30:36Speaker 1: look like a good looking guy. Oh, y'all, good looking guy. Right,
- 30:39Speaker 1: they're just gonna slap some ugly on your baby, and
- 30:42Speaker 1: the baby had need to here, y'all just baby, I'll
- 30:47Speaker 1: tell you something, coach, brother, ugliness are really something else.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And come on, I refused to let the two of
- 30:57Speaker 1: y'all hat on my boy. You are and curse on
- 31:02Speaker 1: this checkout and be like you wouldn't want nobody to
- 31:05Speaker 1: speak no ugliness on the child that you hadn't had yet. No, no,
- 31:08Speaker 1: we misinterpreted. I'm just saying there's pressure. If there is
- 31:12Speaker 1: an ugly baby, the other baby won't be as close
- 31:14Speaker 1: to the pretty babies. I'm just saying, if y'all have
- 31:16Speaker 1: a mother, you better pray it's not ugly. They are
- 31:23Speaker 1: the Ghost Brothers, Jan and Marcus. They were hosting a
