- 0:39Speaker 1: yeah by joining. Men say wait, you got to turn
- 1:05Speaker 1: hur go, you gotta turn to turn the time you
- 1:43Speaker 1: lovey got to turn out to turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your back at it. Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will A good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, come on, dig me down one and only.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, Man on Man on man.
- 2:13Speaker 1: How good is God? How good is God? I just
- 2:16Speaker 1: gotta ask you have you thought about it? I mean, man,
- 2:20Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's all okay, okay, okay, here it is.
- 2:25Speaker 1: This one is really good today because this one it
- 2:31Speaker 1: took me years and years and years to understand it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I mean to really get my mind around it. What
- 2:45Speaker 1: took me years and years and years to fully understand.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You can get your mind wrapped around this really, man,
- 2:53Speaker 1: if you really focus within three days, if you if
- 2:58Speaker 1: you if you're a little slow, it might take you
- 3:01Speaker 1: a couple of weeks, okay, but now listen to me. Well,
- 3:04Speaker 1: what I'm gonna share with you took me years and
- 3:08Speaker 1: years and years to really understand it. But if you
- 3:13Speaker 1: can wrap your mind around it, you can grasps this
- 3:16Speaker 1: concept and and master it in three days. Like you said,
- 3:21Speaker 1: if you're a little slow, if any little extra convincing
- 3:24Speaker 1: is what I mean by that, then probably a couple
- 3:26Speaker 1: of weeks and then the rest of you just won't
- 3:29Speaker 1: get this at all. And I understand that there's a
- 3:33Speaker 1: scripture that says the poor will always be amongst us.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And you know why, I think. I don't know this
- 3:38Speaker 1: for a fact, but I think he covered all the
- 3:41Speaker 1: grounds in the Bible. And I think one of the
- 3:43Speaker 1: reasons he put that in there because he knew in
- 3:47Speaker 1: a lot of people's shortcomings and the way they were
- 3:49Speaker 1: gonna think that that that they we wasn't gonna buy
- 3:51Speaker 1: into the belief system, that they weren't gonna buy into
- 3:55Speaker 1: the fact that if he came, he came to give
- 3:57Speaker 1: you life more abundantly. That they weren't gonna buy into
- 4:01Speaker 1: the fact that miracles can happen for them too. They're
- 4:06Speaker 1: not gonna buy into the fact that if that that
- 4:09Speaker 1: these people with these wonderful lives, that that can apply
- 4:12Speaker 1: to them. I think God knew that. I'm not saying
- 4:14Speaker 1: I know that, but I think that scripture and there
- 4:16Speaker 1: the poor will always be amongst us. It's because I
- 4:20Speaker 1: just I don't know. Man, Maybe he knew all of
- 4:23Speaker 1: us wasn't gonna believe, all of us, wasn't gonna receive,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and all of us wasn't gonna think it was possible.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So maybe it's sitting there for that. But he covers everything.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Now here's Here's the thing that took me a long
- 4:34Speaker 1: time to wrap my mind around. It is the concept
- 4:38Speaker 1: of gratitude. All right, let me tell you what, what
- 4:42Speaker 1: what what? What? I come to caim to the understanding
- 4:45Speaker 1: so you can begin in the process today gratitude and
- 4:51Speaker 1: the lack of it. Okay, you're listening. It's one of
- 4:56Speaker 1: the biggest blessing blockers that is. Man, did you do
- 5:04Speaker 1: you listen to me? It took me years and years
- 5:09Speaker 1: and years to come to this realization. I'm gonna give
- 5:12Speaker 1: it to you, and if you're smart, you can really
- 5:15Speaker 1: wrap your mind around this thing in a matter of
- 5:17Speaker 1: days if you focus on it, and in two weeks
- 5:19Speaker 1: you can have this thing mastered. But gratitude and the
- 5:23Speaker 1: lack of it is one of the biggest blessing blockers
- 5:26Speaker 1: there is. Now. Gratitude is just what it is. It's
- 5:30Speaker 1: being thankful or grateful for something or someone and and
- 5:36Speaker 1: and some events and occurrence in your life. It's just
- 5:40Speaker 1: having the overall attitude of gratefulness, thankfulness, thankfulness, gratitude for
- 5:50Speaker 1: what you have. If you can become extremely grateful and
- 5:58Speaker 1: thankful for what you have, you then open up the
- 6:03Speaker 1: lanes for you to receive more. But your lack of
- 6:09Speaker 1: gratitude sometimes and our lack of gratitude causes the blessings
- 6:15Speaker 1: that could flow our way to be blocked. Here's how
- 6:19Speaker 1: you block your blessings. This the cold part, man, Here
- 6:23Speaker 1: the part that I didn't get. If you are not
- 6:27Speaker 1: thankful for what you have, if you are not grateful
- 6:34Speaker 1: for what you have, why listen send me? This is
- 6:39Speaker 1: this common sense? Now, why would God give you some
- 6:46Speaker 1: more stuff for you then not to be grateful, thankful
- 6:52Speaker 1: and appreciative of Why would he do that? Well, it
- 6:55Speaker 1: does not make any sense. It goes against him, It
- 6:59Speaker 1: goes against the law of attraction. It goes against everything
- 7:03Speaker 1: that makes sense. You cannot push away something and attracted
- 7:11Speaker 1: it don't work. You're either pushing or you pulling. You're
- 7:16Speaker 1: either given or you're receiving. What what which one you're
- 7:19Speaker 1: doing here? You're either running your mouth or you quiet?
- 7:25Speaker 1: Humming hermit counts as humming, doesn't count as quiet. When
- 7:30Speaker 1: I closed my mouth and our home, that don't count
- 7:32Speaker 1: as quiet. See, so stop looking for the loopholes. The
- 7:37Speaker 1: lack of gratitude is one of the biggest blessing blockers
- 7:41Speaker 1: that there is. Man. Why with God give you some
- 7:47Speaker 1: more stuff to not be grateful for? Have you ever
- 7:53Speaker 1: just looked at it that a way? Maybe you don't
- 7:56Speaker 1: have any more than you have because you're not really
- 8:00Speaker 1: really thankful and appreciative or show gratitude for what you
- 8:04Speaker 1: have had or what you do have. Now you're sitting
- 8:07Speaker 1: out there saying, Okay, well, how do you do that, Steve?
- 8:11Speaker 1: When you don't have all you want? How do you
- 8:16Speaker 1: show gratitude when you don't have all you want? This
- 8:23Speaker 1: is very simple. You show the gratitude, the appreciation and
- 8:27Speaker 1: the thankfulness not for what you want, for what you have.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Then if you really master the concept. When you ask
- 8:34Speaker 1: God for something, you thank him in advance for sending
- 8:39Speaker 1: it to you so you can sit over here and
- 8:41Speaker 1: had a cold ability to receive. Man, this thing is
- 8:45Speaker 1: not a magic trick. It's a mental adjustment that we
- 8:49Speaker 1: have to make in order to get where we want. Look, man,
- 8:54Speaker 1: the lack of gratitude is one of the biggest blessing
- 8:57Speaker 1: blockers that it. That is, Think about it for a second.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Think about if you don't have all you want, when
- 9:04Speaker 1: the last time you thanked him for all you have,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I mean, really took inventory of your life and really
- 9:12Speaker 1: thanked him for the ability to speak, your mind, walking, healing,
- 9:21Speaker 1: for friendship, for your family, for keeping angels camped around you,
- 9:27Speaker 1: for watching over your children, for your parents still being
- 9:31Speaker 1: here man, for even having the parents, even if you
- 9:35Speaker 1: lost them, for the things they taught you. For being
- 9:39Speaker 1: able to see the sun every day. It's cats locked away, Man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: don't even get to see the sun. You ain't you
- 9:44Speaker 1: ain't even grateful for that. But then if you locked away,
- 9:47Speaker 1: ain't you grateful? Let you steal here? Come on, man,
- 9:49Speaker 1: everybody got something be grateful for. Because all the dirt
- 9:52Speaker 1: I did, I should be in the worst position that
- 9:55Speaker 1: I am. But even if you locked up all you did,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you could be worse off. Now think about it. Everybody
- 10:02Speaker 1: got something to be grateful for. But if you and
- 10:05Speaker 1: that old, woe is me mind set the old Lord.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I just can't seem to get it together. And these
- 10:11Speaker 1: bills keep coming, Yeah, they keep coming because you keep
- 10:14Speaker 1: attracting them. Lord, Lord, I'm so sick of his debt. Lord,
- 10:19Speaker 1: help me get out of debt. Well, you're just attracted
- 10:22Speaker 1: some more debt to get out of. You keep speaking
- 10:25Speaker 1: stuff out into space in the universe, and you keep
- 10:28Speaker 1: speaking stuff into existence in your life. I can't ever
- 10:32Speaker 1: seem to find all men and his dogs. Well, here
- 10:35Speaker 1: come another one. I can't find nobody to treat me right.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Here come another one. I ain't gonna treat you right.
- 10:42Speaker 1: When you're gonna change the way you think, you gotta
- 10:46Speaker 1: get your mind right. Man. Gratitude, the lack of gratitude
- 10:49Speaker 1: is one of the biggest blessing blockers there is. Stop
- 10:51Speaker 1: blocking your blessings, man, be grateful for every little thing
- 10:54Speaker 1: you have. You open up the windows for more to
- 10:56Speaker 1: come in. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. Everybody, let me
- 11:04Speaker 1: have your attention please. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:07Speaker 1: My name is Steve. Steve Harvey Morning Show consists of
- 11:11Speaker 1: a team, though it just carries my name simply because
- 11:15Speaker 1: Tommy didn't want his name on it. Well he did
- 11:19Speaker 1: want it on there, but there ain't nobody to know him,
- 11:23Speaker 1: so we didn't. We took it off. Credit was bad
- 11:26Speaker 1: at the top. You needed a co sign, so the
- 11:31Speaker 1: only one because by the sign was meet. Thus we
- 11:35Speaker 1: had the Steve Harvey Morning Show based on just you
- 11:39Speaker 1: know something, but Steve and Tommy Morning Show, No, it
- 11:42Speaker 1: was it was it was a Tommy Little Tommy Morning Show.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Then he fought so hard to get the little took off,
- 11:50Speaker 1: but the sign had already been made that in order
- 11:53Speaker 1: to change take the little off of it, they wanted
- 11:56Speaker 1: three thousand more. He didn't have it, so I wouldn't.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Then made a bigger sign with Steve Hardy Morning Showing.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Everybody looked at said, well you didn't go with that,
- 12:07Speaker 1: So that's how that came out. That's what happened because
- 12:09Speaker 1: the Little Tommy Morning Show okay sound He fought so
- 12:13Speaker 1: hard trying to get that little off there. His whole
- 12:17Speaker 1: gig about love yeah, man, he's saying nothing. Good morning, Shirley,
- 12:29Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve morning, call him, Hey, Steve j Morning up.
- 12:36Speaker 1: What's up little little Tommy top top, Good morning. You're
- 12:42Speaker 1: not here for top top tattooth. He's not here for
- 12:48Speaker 1: you today. Sounds like doing good kids, doing good. I
- 12:53Speaker 1: think in after it is much called. I'm proud of him. Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: almost at the end of March, first quarter. All right, now,
- 13:03Speaker 1: how many how many more days? Yes, Steve, Yeah, this
- 13:08Speaker 1: is the last week of mark Man. Yeah, you ain't
- 13:10Speaker 1: talked to him. No, well he tried yesterday though. On
- 13:16Speaker 1: the yesterday that was pretty cool. Yeah, we had to
- 13:21Speaker 1: be live. It was force mentoring. Yeah, didn't. I took
- 13:25Speaker 1: myself you could no longer stand by and watch you
- 13:31Speaker 1: throw this out the window. I said, I said, I say,
- 13:34Speaker 1: I said, I'll say, I'll say, boy, I had the
- 13:39Speaker 1: fog horn leg holding. Well it worked out, Tommy. You listened,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you were happy, right with the advice your uncle gave you. Yeah,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I have to digest it, you know, when you say something,
- 13:52Speaker 1: I have to digest it, and then I tend it
- 13:54Speaker 1: to myself again. Later that evening, after we didn't got
- 13:57Speaker 1: up you know, well, it was just about your tenthusiasm
- 14:00Speaker 1: for promoting your shows. That's all I know. I know
- 14:04Speaker 1: what it was about. Charlotte. Don't get mad at me.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm the meds. Snap. Stop that you guys are trying
- 14:13Speaker 1: to know. Stop that you're trying to find that button.
- 14:17Speaker 1: We're not going to do it. I want to find it.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I know where it is. I want to find it button.
- 14:25Speaker 1: My wife know where it. Alright, alright, nephew, how about
- 14:28Speaker 1: this coming up. We're gonna it's something funny. We're gonna
- 14:32Speaker 1: change it to asked Steve. Yeah, let's go, all right,
- 14:36Speaker 1: so let's get to thank all right, So we'll be
- 14:40Speaker 1: back at thirty two after with asked Steve. You're listening
- 14:43Speaker 1: to the Steve Morning Show. All right, Steve, we're live,
- 14:54Speaker 1: all right, listen. UM as promised, we're gonna do an
- 14:57Speaker 1: asked Steve session. And U uh, Tommy, I think he
- 15:01Speaker 1: wanted to ask Steve. This is a perfect time to
- 15:03Speaker 1: ask him some mentoring questions. If I don't handle mentoring
- 15:06Speaker 1: question you keep you keep pressing this issue. I don't.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I keep pressing the issue. It's asked Steve. What better
- 15:13Speaker 1: time to do it? Yeah? I mean, really, you don't
- 15:17Speaker 1: have any questions, do not at all. I'm good right now, guys, Well,
- 15:23Speaker 1: why did you want to be mentors? Crazy? M m yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 1: it's gonna turn in and my near the button because
- 15:33Speaker 1: that's what I wanted. All right, Well, Junior, you have
- 15:38Speaker 1: a question for Steve right now? Yeah, I got questions?
- 15:43Speaker 1: Uh what did this situation with storm of Dan's everything?
- 15:47Speaker 1: Is there anything you think the president should say if
- 15:50Speaker 1: he could see No, I don't think he should say
- 15:53Speaker 1: a damn thing. I think he should be church mouse quiet.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Well he is that, and that's what he should do
- 15:59Speaker 1: because all he could was making worse. This has to
- 16:01Speaker 1: go away, folks. I'm just gonna be honest with you. This.
- 16:05Speaker 1: This is who he is. This is what he did,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and he did it years ago. Now you come back
- 16:12Speaker 1: with some hush money right before the presidential campaign when
- 16:15Speaker 1: you think you're posted to pay it. You'd never got
- 16:18Speaker 1: much money if he wasn't when you think he posted
- 16:22Speaker 1: to pay, if he wasn't running for president, he wouldn't
- 16:25Speaker 1: be offered hard damn quarter telling. What do you think
- 16:30Speaker 1: he's sposed? Man about a tripping? This time when you're
- 16:34Speaker 1: supposed to pay porn star hush money? Yeah, you know
- 16:38Speaker 1: this lawyer you're talking about, it was convenient. You mean
- 16:40Speaker 1: to tell me he just all of a sudden thought
- 16:42Speaker 1: to pay it. No, he wasn't gonna pay hard quarter.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He wasn't gonna pay to play for play girl. No money.
- 16:49Speaker 1: This is all this is. You know, let's move on
- 16:52Speaker 1: to something else. Well, I will say that you were
- 16:54Speaker 1: the first one to talk about him and all the
- 16:56Speaker 1: women that they would come out but head and he
- 17:00Speaker 1: ran and won anyway, And you know, in spite of
- 17:03Speaker 1: all of that, or because of all of that, who knows?
- 17:05Speaker 1: You know, really, why are we discussing this? Who really can't?
- 17:10Speaker 1: It's interesting? What did he did? He use campaign money?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Aren't though? No, they can't prove that. Look, his lawyer
- 17:17Speaker 1: gotta hunt. There's people rich, see y'all See they got
- 17:22Speaker 1: just hunting thirty thousand. They keep showing it on seeing
- 17:24Speaker 1: it because they're showing it to regular people. Rich people know,
- 17:27Speaker 1: a hunting thirty thousand ain't no money. Y'all got that
- 17:29Speaker 1: number of gas way up too high. Dude got a
- 17:32Speaker 1: billion dollars, You get a hunting thirty bad? Please? Yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 1: even she said the money was low, low low. Stormy
- 17:39Speaker 1: Daniel said that, well, even she said it was yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 1: she said it was low. Now she was happy with that.
- 17:48Speaker 1: One thirty one thirty can change your life. Man, let's
- 17:52Speaker 1: be real about it. But it don't affect his life.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Next question, weird number though, one third and not not
- 18:03Speaker 1: oh one fifty was on the table. They offered a fifty.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Wait a minute, you're saying that started at fifty thousand. No, see, listen,
- 18:13Speaker 1: this is how negotiation work. Stormy Nell said, we want
- 18:16Speaker 1: two hundred. They said, we'll give you fifty. She said, no,
- 18:20Speaker 1: we'll take we'll take one seventy five. We said we
- 18:24Speaker 1: gave Saturday five. They're gonna work. They're gonna meet right, No, no, no, no,
- 18:29Speaker 1: we want one sixty. They came back and said, we'll
- 18:33Speaker 1: give you a hundred. They went back and forth. Then
- 18:35Speaker 1: they said, hey, guess what. We'll meet in the middle.
- 18:37Speaker 1: We want to give you a hundred. You want one sixty,
- 18:40Speaker 1: We'll give you one thirty. We were in the middles's compromise.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Just misclosed this deal. And guess what they did. They said,
- 18:46Speaker 1: they negotiated this feet I promise you they did, and
- 18:49Speaker 1: it sounds like Netflix. And she took the money and
- 18:53Speaker 1: it was all good and She's gaven several statements that
- 18:56Speaker 1: she never slept with the man, and then she gave
- 19:00Speaker 1: some statements that no, this was not so. Where we
- 19:04Speaker 1: are now, really this is political. They're trying to hang
- 19:08Speaker 1: some don't care. Yeah, man, when your supporters don't care,
- 19:13Speaker 1: that's really really they don't care. And I'm starting not
- 19:16Speaker 1: to care either. That was interested because listening to a
- 19:19Speaker 1: porn star on TV just sixty minutes now horn star
- 19:24Speaker 1: on sixty minutes, I'm interested, and so was everybody else
- 19:28Speaker 1: at High Radar show. Sister Obama's was over, so I
- 19:31Speaker 1: got it now. I was glued to the set, couldn't
- 19:34Speaker 1: wait to hear her talk. Like the way they tried
- 19:37Speaker 1: to dress her down, though, what we ain't gonna do
- 19:40Speaker 1: is hell, you in here looking like a born all
- 19:42Speaker 1: they blew off your eyes, take all that blue, taking
- 19:46Speaker 1: my lashes off. You ain't fenning coming you find it
- 19:49Speaker 1: coming here? Look like somebody mama? Yeah, but none of
- 19:55Speaker 1: her other pictures look like a mama. He's a wife. Yeah.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Here's another question if President Barack Obama, what if it
- 20:08Speaker 1: was him? Stop they drug him out to the Rose
- 20:12Speaker 1: Garden and put a blindfold on him in the front
- 20:15Speaker 1: of a fine squad. But oh yeah, boy, please please,
- 20:21Speaker 1: this is the question I love to ask. This would
- 20:23Speaker 1: be the most diabolical thing ever to enter the White House,
- 20:26Speaker 1: skipping president that got sworn in with clansmen, and that
- 20:29Speaker 1: I ain't gonna mention that Barack Obama with a poet store.
- 20:34Speaker 1: You're kidding me. But the real story would have been shader.
- 20:42Speaker 1: You just saw it. The discomfort. Well, I mean, yeah,
- 20:50Speaker 1: it's not going to be the only thing, Steve, but
- 20:52Speaker 1: it's always so interesting and we love hearing your take
- 20:54Speaker 1: on these things because it's not a problem anything else.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Before we go, we gotta fortifies him. Tommy want, I
- 21:00Speaker 1: don't have you don't have a question? Don't want you
- 21:03Speaker 1: had a question? He oh? He want to hear about it?
- 21:07Speaker 1: Po star? The boy need minute? Well look if anybody well,
- 21:15Speaker 1: well does he does he think he needs mentoring? That's
- 21:19Speaker 1: the question. Yes, he know he do to get to
- 21:22Speaker 1: the next level. Magic Johnson was on my show when
- 21:25Speaker 1: we come back. I'm gonna tell you what Magic Johnson
- 21:27Speaker 1: said yesterday and it applied directly to Tommy Junior came
- 21:30Speaker 1: up to him and said, Wow, I wish Tommy had
- 21:32Speaker 1: heard this, and I'll tell you what that he is right, No,
- 21:36Speaker 1: he wasn't talking about you. But we're also we're also
- 21:40Speaker 1: gonna have a prank run back by the nephew as well.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Run that prank back coming up. You're listening to Steve
- 21:48Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:51Speaker 1: we're gonna discuss Dormy Daniels again. She is in the news.
- 21:55Speaker 1: She was partying in Dallas with her husband and her
- 21:57Speaker 1: friends on Monday right after the sixty minutes to interview.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Uh yeah, bless Mrs Anne. We'll have today's national news.
- 22:08Speaker 1: But right now, Steve, you had something before we get
- 22:11Speaker 1: to Tommy's run that prank back. Magic Johnson will be
- 22:13Speaker 1: on the show today. Well, I tell y'all at the
- 22:16Speaker 1: top of the hour, stick around Magic Johnson's indirect message
- 22:21Speaker 1: to nephew Tommy. All right, I'll accept that would open
- 22:25Speaker 1: on right now. I got comb and brush for you though.
- 22:28Speaker 1: That's how we run a brank back and brush. Hello. Hello,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach list Yeah, hey, listen, my name Sean.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Uh did uncle have passed away? Named? Yeh al right
- 22:46Speaker 1: here your uncle? Right, yeah, that my uncle. We were
- 22:49Speaker 1: at him about three and a half months ago, like
- 22:51Speaker 1: what reason why I was calling was I'm the person
- 22:54Speaker 1: that actually cut your ancer half when he passed away. Okay,
- 22:59Speaker 1: So the reason why I was calling is, uh, the
- 23:03Speaker 1: situation is when I come his have and I know
- 23:06Speaker 1: you don't know the history about me, but my my
- 23:09Speaker 1: daddy and my granddad was was Bob. Plus we all
- 23:12Speaker 1: bob us. Okay, get come on, get down to the
- 23:14Speaker 1: Bob because you're talking my uncle man and I'm trying
- 23:16Speaker 1: to see what's going on forever, okay, and I'm trying
- 23:19Speaker 1: to call you like this. But what I'm telling you
- 23:21Speaker 1: is that my granddad and my daddy, they dad passed
- 23:24Speaker 1: down a brush and a comb to me. Okay, that
- 23:28Speaker 1: is like a sentimental value. Okay, But for the for
- 23:32Speaker 1: the last two or three months, I ain't been able
- 23:35Speaker 1: to find the comb and the brush that I used
- 23:40Speaker 1: what I had cut here now okay, So okay, go
- 23:43Speaker 1: and what I was trying to call and tell you
- 23:45Speaker 1: is it that I can't find it. And I'm almost
- 23:48Speaker 1: certain what I'm trying to tell you what I'm little, Kay,
- 23:51Speaker 1: what many kids? So so what can I do top
- 23:54Speaker 1: you find comb? Brother? Father? That's what I'm saying. When
- 23:57Speaker 1: I did miss have and edged it up at the funeral.
- 24:00Speaker 1: That's the last time I remember having it, dude, three
- 24:04Speaker 1: months right, right, there's about three months ago. What I'm
- 24:07Speaker 1: trying to say is I left the comb and brush,
- 24:10Speaker 1: and you know what, I went to fetal home and
- 24:13Speaker 1: did his half, and I talked to the funeral home
- 24:16Speaker 1: and they told me that, you know, if I'm trying
- 24:19Speaker 1: to find a comba bro I gotta get permission. Is
- 24:22Speaker 1: the coma brush? What's the color of the comba black?
- 24:25Speaker 1: That both from black? The comban black? And all you
- 24:28Speaker 1: got all kind of combs that black and go man, No, no,
- 24:32Speaker 1: don't see. What I'm saying is the comban brushes black?
- 24:35Speaker 1: And I know I lost it, but I'm almost certain
- 24:38Speaker 1: about where it is. Okay, So if you're saying about
- 24:41Speaker 1: where it is, what you called, that's the reason why
- 24:43Speaker 1: I'm calling you, because I'm almost certainly I left it
- 24:47Speaker 1: with him. You're listening with my bed. So so I
- 24:51Speaker 1: called funeral. They told me I need to call you
- 24:54Speaker 1: in order to get permission to get it. Ohkill you
- 24:57Speaker 1: call funerals get permission from me that you can go
- 25:00Speaker 1: get the Colman brush from left the funeral You go
- 25:04Speaker 1: down left. They got no. See, the comban brush ain't
- 25:09Speaker 1: with the funeral. The comban brush is in there with
- 25:13Speaker 1: your uncle. The word the comb and brush is in
- 25:17Speaker 1: the cave with you, I mean the other states. You
- 25:22Speaker 1: got to say that again. What what I'm trying to
- 25:24Speaker 1: say to you is that the comb and brush is
- 25:27Speaker 1: in I'm trying to say. You just say what I'm
- 25:29Speaker 1: trying it that the Colman brush is in the casket
- 25:33Speaker 1: with your uncle. It since in that is six let's see. See.
- 25:38Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is that the comban brother
- 25:40Speaker 1: is sentimental value to me, bro it couldn't have been
- 25:44Speaker 1: too value. But if you lost it, what now? What
- 25:47Speaker 1: do you want? Got value? You know my work? So
- 25:49Speaker 1: I just really got caught up in my work. If
- 25:53Speaker 1: you talk about left with my uncle that they did
- 25:56Speaker 1: three months ago, mane, what codor is he talking about?
- 25:59Speaker 1: On brow to do what you would see if if
- 26:01Speaker 1: you don't mind approving for them to bring the body
- 26:05Speaker 1: up so I can get the comb and brush. You
- 26:09Speaker 1: know what's there for comba. But see, but what I'm
- 26:13Speaker 1: trying to explain it this sentimental value. I'm trying to
- 26:16Speaker 1: get you all the brain the body of so I
- 26:18Speaker 1: can get my comb and brush it outever, because like
- 26:20Speaker 1: I say, my dad and my granddad was booed ontle
- 26:23Speaker 1: thing is sentimentally. You're talking about my dead uncle man,
- 26:26Speaker 1: and you're talking about bringing him up out of the
- 26:28Speaker 1: ground for comb. Man. I just got these to start
- 26:32Speaker 1: crying around here, and I and I understand what y'all
- 26:35Speaker 1: going through as as a family and stuff. See now
- 26:38Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my comba and how you trying
- 26:41Speaker 1: to go about doing this all? Throw it off on boy,
- 26:43Speaker 1: because ain't nobody digging up nobody to bring back. No, no,
- 26:46Speaker 1: brush man. You got me tisted off now, man, because
- 26:49Speaker 1: you're coming to me talking stupid mane you talking. I
- 26:51Speaker 1: put on my mom to man. That's man. That's tell
- 26:54Speaker 1: me to look and I ain't trying to start. You're
- 26:55Speaker 1: talking like comban brushman only. But I understand on that.
- 27:00Speaker 1: But this is a sentimental value, man, sent the middle
- 27:03Speaker 1: of me. Man, just something that people listen sentimental relieve. Okay,
- 27:06Speaker 1: got my favorite uncle man. Okay, you talking about putting
- 27:09Speaker 1: up this body, man, I got po Hey man, man,
- 27:13Speaker 1: I'm I don't want to give give because of my
- 27:15Speaker 1: grand that long man. You shouldn't know how you got play.
- 27:18Speaker 1: May if we don't get out like this here, man,
- 27:20Speaker 1: I ain't been seeing and argue with you. Look, I
- 27:23Speaker 1: got some tea, I got something. I mean, will you staying?
- 27:27Speaker 1: Let me say this. I got some people that's here
- 27:29Speaker 1: with me right now. You know, some of my friends,
- 27:32Speaker 1: and we got some shovels, so I can actually go
- 27:35Speaker 1: over and and go on and get the combers. And
- 27:38Speaker 1: in the morning, ain't nobody gonna even know you. Ain't
- 27:40Speaker 1: gonna gonna get now with the a board to say
- 27:43Speaker 1: what you don't get you don't dig going together a
- 27:47Speaker 1: com and I got him said with two of you
- 27:48Speaker 1: talking about sim tests to dig a mine. Hey man,
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna go on and tell you just like here,
- 27:55Speaker 1: Hey man, I'm trying to get my comb and brush back.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I ain't trying to have no problems with you, so
- 28:00Speaker 1: I want my call. And plus he do you think
- 28:03Speaker 1: you're talking to them? Man? Go wrong, grou go wrong?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Great war on the safe cold they got him about this.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I didn't know. Ain't nobody this man't even about your uncle,
- 28:13Speaker 1: this lord in that this you got lord to be
- 28:17Speaker 1: hiding in me and nobody huling at you. Man, I'm
- 28:20Speaker 1: telling you if I gotta call and push in your
- 28:23Speaker 1: uncle Kaki, and I want my price. We you did
- 28:26Speaker 1: want that? You might with Dick too, say what want
- 28:30Speaker 1: and you're gonna find it right over in there. Yeah,
- 28:33Speaker 1: so you're telling you you're trying to dig? Are grateful me?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Do you know how this baby, I've been trying to
- 28:38Speaker 1: get these? And then stop crying? May May? I didn't
- 28:44Speaker 1: you with his body? I didn't, quick, baby, what I
- 28:48Speaker 1: understand what you're gonna do? Do? If did? I told you?
- 28:54Speaker 1: Under my craz is he and I want you could
- 28:58Speaker 1: have like a couple of digging on somebody out of
- 29:00Speaker 1: man over calling a bush. I got it. I just
- 29:04Speaker 1: tried to call you like a man because I want
- 29:07Speaker 1: to get the comb and brush. And I didn't want
- 29:10Speaker 1: to go without give your permission out, But I gotta
- 29:12Speaker 1: go without getting your permission. We are always read the
- 29:17Speaker 1: cride with red. Yeah, just card with read sent the
- 29:21Speaker 1: miss me. Just cride with me. You'll dead, You'll come.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I want to say something else to you. You say
- 29:31Speaker 1: how you listen dude, coming from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:37Speaker 1: You just not plked by your boss, right man? Hello,
- 29:51Speaker 1: you got proked by your boss. Everything's got a breast
- 29:58Speaker 1: of the car hood. Who I think I need? And man,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, man, what is the baddest radio
- 30:12Speaker 1: show in the land? You know, like, oh, man, that
- 30:22Speaker 1: is whoa come on there? It was good that man
- 30:28Speaker 1: seven the Nephew Lexington, Kentucky Comedy all Broadway tickets own seal.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Right now, all right, coming up at the top of
- 30:34Speaker 1: the hour, Miss Anna's gonna be here with our national news.
- 30:37Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah, this
- 30:43Speaker 1: story is going to remain in the news for a while.
- 30:45Speaker 1: The President has his hands full with this one, and
- 30:48Speaker 1: he hasn't said anything yet. Also, there's another story in
- 30:52Speaker 1: the Huffington's post, we are Outraged. It talks about Sandra Bland,
- 30:56Speaker 1: Freddie Gray, Sean Bell, Tamir Rice, and Alton Sterling. The
- 31:02Speaker 1: lets goes on and on. Here we go again, girl up.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Let's goes on and on of black men, of women,
- 31:07Speaker 1: and black children who have died as a result of
- 31:10Speaker 1: encounters with law enforcement and they received no justice, while
- 31:14Speaker 1: those responsible for their deaths, the same ones who pledge,
- 31:18Speaker 1: you know, to protect and serve uh, face little or
- 31:22Speaker 1: no repercussions. That is ridiculous. It's sad, it's it's just
- 31:29Speaker 1: it makes me so angry. It's like, you know, there's
- 31:32Speaker 1: a vicious cycle. They kill us and they get off.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I mean, you know, bob cycle. And over and over again,
- 31:41Speaker 1: we watch for justice, we plead for justice. You know
- 31:44Speaker 1: when we when we um uh protest for justice saying
- 31:48Speaker 1: black lives matter, nothing happens. We get criticized for that.
- 31:51Speaker 1: And here we are again, here we are again. Well,
- 31:54Speaker 1: yesterday the bad. Now you see, let me say this
- 31:57Speaker 1: to Steve before you come in. Here we go again.
- 32:00Speaker 1: And now you see why Colin Kaepernick do you see what?
- 32:03Speaker 1: Now he took a need Do you see why? Now
- 32:05Speaker 1: he was kneeling this right here. That happens over and over,
- 32:09Speaker 1: but go ahead, yeah, and it has nothing to do
- 32:11Speaker 1: with disrespecting the American flag or the men and women
- 32:15Speaker 1: who are in our military. Okay, So yesterday the Baton
- 32:18Speaker 1: Rouge police officer uh will not face any charges in
- 32:22Speaker 1: the shooting death of Alton Sterling. That was the news
- 32:24Speaker 1: on yesterday. So Steve, you know this is crazy, right,
- 32:28Speaker 1: another one come on with you and your grandmama backyard
- 32:34Speaker 1: is problem. Nothing happens to these police because you're a
- 32:39Speaker 1: police It does not give you an authority to murder someone.
- 32:44Speaker 1: This is not against all police. I know a lot
- 32:46Speaker 1: of really great police officers, but it's the few, the
- 32:50Speaker 1: few to get through the cracks, those people that have
- 32:53Speaker 1: those preconceived notions of black people that ain't got no
- 32:56Speaker 1: problem putting one down. I want to have something do.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Shoot a boy who ain't firing back. He didn't shoot
- 33:06Speaker 1: the gun that you said he had that he didn't have.
- 33:09Speaker 1: He didn't make one aggressive move towards you, and it
- 33:14Speaker 1: requires twenty shots. That's crazy. At one point in time,
- 33:19Speaker 1: the Justice Department is gonna have to get involved in
- 33:22Speaker 1: all of these police shootings and take it off of
- 33:24Speaker 1: the state level, because what's what's happening is if it
- 33:28Speaker 1: stays on the state level, then the police department does
- 33:33Speaker 1: their business. We've got to get it on federal level
- 33:36Speaker 1: and it has to start to be some type of
- 33:39Speaker 1: ramifications and consequences for killing unarmed people. Maybe then it
- 33:45Speaker 1: would force police departments everywhere to sharpen their training. There's
- 33:51Speaker 1: gotta be away because all these people keep getting shot
- 33:56Speaker 1: as black, and there's got to be a way to
- 34:00Speaker 1: have some type of training. But once again, I'm gonna
- 34:04Speaker 1: say this. The problem with the training is if you
- 34:08Speaker 1: notice when you look at gun rangers and all that,
- 34:10Speaker 1: all the targets they shoot at they're black. They are
- 34:14Speaker 1: white paper and they're black. And I just think, man,
- 34:19Speaker 1: that's just me. I just think there's a correlation there
- 34:23Speaker 1: that when you see the black figure, you produced the
- 34:26Speaker 1: kill shot. It's target practice. It's not policing at that point.
- 34:32Speaker 1: It's just target practice. Twenty times they shoot at this boy.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Come on, man, Steve, Let's introduce him and saying now,
- 34:42Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, miss a trip. Thank you very much, everybody.
- 34:46Speaker 1: This is and trip with the news. They're gonna talk
- 34:47Speaker 1: a little bit more about that as well. Let's start
- 34:50Speaker 1: out by saying, the critics say, no real surprise to
- 34:53Speaker 1: white baton Louisiana cops who shot and killed the black
- 34:56Speaker 1: man who was merely selling CDs on the street. Those
- 34:59Speaker 1: car will not face any charges at all, no criminal charges.
- 35:03Speaker 1: The victim was Mr Alton Sterling, and the Sterling families
- 35:06Speaker 1: attorney Chris Stewart strongly condemned the decision. This man sold
- 35:10Speaker 1: CDs in front of this convenience store every night to
- 35:13Speaker 1: provide for his kids. He wasn't out there robbing people,
- 35:16Speaker 1: killing people, doing anything like that. Say, they were answering
- 35:19Speaker 1: a call about a man waving a gun and threatening
- 35:21Speaker 1: people with it. Alton Sterling had no gun in his
- 35:23Speaker 1: hands and was not waving anything. He was shot six times,
- 35:27Speaker 1: three times point blank in the back while police were
- 35:30Speaker 1: holding him face down on the ground. And the video
- 35:32Speaker 1: shows that in the nation's capital, FBI agents and local
- 35:36Speaker 1: police have arrested a suspect connect to the suspicious packages
- 35:39Speaker 1: that have recently been sent to federal facilities and military
- 35:42Speaker 1: sites in and around Washington, d C. As far as say,
- 35:45Speaker 1: these suspectives identified his forty three year old Tram Kong
- 35:48Speaker 1: Fan was arrested actually in Seattle, Washington on Monday. Agency
- 35:52Speaker 1: the packages contained potentially explosive devices, all seemed to have
- 35:56Speaker 1: been sent by the same person, so that's why they
- 35:58Speaker 1: were during in on zero, you know, in somebody. Meanwhile,
- 36:00Speaker 1: official state and investigation continues, agents looking to see if
- 36:03Speaker 1: any other people were involved and if there were any
- 36:05Speaker 1: more of those incendiary packages in the mail are around somewhere.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Governments around the world are following the lead of the UK, US,
- 36:11Speaker 1: Canada and others and expelling Russian diplomats, and the native
- 36:15Speaker 1: organization itself says it intends to expel seven Russian diplomats.
- 36:19Speaker 1: This week blocked the certification of three more and also
- 36:22Speaker 1: capped the total number of staff they can keep there
- 36:25Speaker 1: at twenty. This is the second time, by the way,
- 36:26Speaker 1: NATO has slashed the Russian presence in the group's headquarters
- 36:30Speaker 1: after its annexation of Crimea while Obama. President Obama was
- 36:34Speaker 1: in office, the maximum number of staff was cut from
- 36:36Speaker 1: fifty to thirty. Municip works in Atlanta finally able to
- 36:39Speaker 1: turn their computers back on yesterday for the first time,
- 36:42Speaker 1: and almost a week a cyber attack on the city
- 36:45Speaker 1: government systems brought much of Atlanta's online services to a
- 36:49Speaker 1: complete halt. For instance, court cases had to be rescheduled,
- 36:52Speaker 1: a lot of city related bills like water bills and
- 36:54Speaker 1: stuff couldn't be calculated, couldn't be sent out, and the
- 36:57Speaker 1: hackers were demanding fifty thou dollar to rectify the situation.
- 37:01Speaker 1: It was a real cyber attack, ransom cyber attack. Well, anyway,
- 37:04Speaker 1: they got rid of that, they fixed it. But now
- 37:06Speaker 1: they're looking for the attackers. The hackers, they say they
- 37:08Speaker 1: know who they're looking for. By the way, Finally, today
- 37:11Speaker 1: is Holy Wednesday, officially marking the end of Holy Week.
- 37:18Speaker 1: So it's just Thursday, Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter Sunday.
- 37:22Speaker 1: We'll be back with more entertainment in today's trending topics

- 37:37Speaker 1: What's the crazy story? Right? Okay, the story is still trending.
- 37:44Speaker 1: It's crazy. Tiffany Hattrish. We all know her, we love her.
- 37:47Speaker 1: She spilled a little tea. She previously shared details of
- 37:50Speaker 1: the night she met Beyonce in December uh and she
- 37:54Speaker 1: says an unnamed actress acted flirty with Jay Z and
- 37:58Speaker 1: Tiffany saw quote Beyonce came walking up, get your hand
- 38:03Speaker 1: off my man's chest. Tiffany expanded the story for g
- 38:07Speaker 1: Q magazine, saying, quote, there was this actress doing the mostess.
- 38:12Speaker 1: She bit Beyonce in the face after running. Yes, this
- 38:16Speaker 1: is what she's saying. Some actress, well known actress. I
- 38:19Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know, if she's just starting out,
- 38:22Speaker 1: I don't know. But she said this actress bit Beyonce
- 38:25Speaker 1: in the face, so maybe she's been in a few things.
- 38:29Speaker 1: And then Tiffany says she ran into the actress a
- 38:32Speaker 1: few times through the night. Tiffany wanted to fight her,
- 38:37Speaker 1: but she said Beyonce pleaded to leave the actress alone.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Who shall remain name unnamed. We don't know who she is.
- 38:46Speaker 1: She said that b is on drugs. She not even drunk.
- 38:49Speaker 1: She not like that all the time. Just chill, Tiffany.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Tiffany tried to explain to comedian Chris Spencer on The
- 38:56Speaker 1: Graham Here it is. Take a listen, let's help y'all, Tiffany.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Everybody out there wants to know who by Beyonce? Me, well, okay,
- 39:06Speaker 1: it was crazy because it was like the after party
- 39:08Speaker 1: for the jay Z concert, right, which was super dope,
- 39:10Speaker 1: and like I ran into Beyonce. Beyonce, It's like, did
- 39:12Speaker 1: you enjoy the concert? I was likest. You have to know,
- 39:17Speaker 1: like Beyonce, she smells so good. She smells like she
- 39:20Speaker 1: smelled like and great the bite who better? Okay, So

- 39:27Speaker 1: the party, right and then she was like did you
- 39:29Speaker 1: endrow was like the contact was super adunved like your
- 39:31Speaker 1: man be killing that game. You kill the game like
- 39:34Speaker 1: buff of y'all is the dope of all time? To me,
- 39:37Speaker 1: could you tell us real quick? Who Beyonce? Alright? Thank you?
- 39:41Speaker 1: So the person who bad Beyonce was? Now what the
- 39:45Speaker 1: cars here? Coun tell us Tiffany, you don't need car
- 39:50Speaker 1: away for you know? We still know nothing, right, we
- 39:55Speaker 1: know nothing? She said, Bey smells like so good, like
- 40:00Speaker 1: hibiscus and coconuts. Because she smells so good. This is
- 40:09Speaker 1: this is crazy, but it is. Yeah, it is trending though,
- 40:12Speaker 1: who bit be honest in the man? How bad? How
- 40:16Speaker 1: fast that would leak if it was a famous actress.
- 40:20Speaker 1: There's no way you can keep that a secret in Hollywood,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I know. But how are you so close to me,
- 40:24Speaker 1: Steve that you can actually bite me in my face? Well, so,
- 40:29Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four after the hour, it is
- 40:31Speaker 1: time once again to get serious more Injustices, no charges
- 40:36Speaker 1: will be filed against two Baton Rouge police officers in
- 40:39Speaker 1: the Alton Sterling case. This is so sad. Wow, we'll
- 40:43Speaker 1: be back. You're listening to the Steven Show. Well, we
- 40:49Speaker 1: just talked about this the other day with a good
- 40:52Speaker 1: friend and family member, attorney Benjamin Crump out there on
- 40:55Speaker 1: the front lines fighting for us. We talked about the
- 40:57Speaker 1: fatal shooting of an unarmed twenty two year old man,
- 41:01Speaker 1: Stefan Clark. You may have heard the story. I'm sure
- 41:04Speaker 1: he was shot twenty times by the Sacramento Police, Sacramento, California. Yeah,
- 41:09Speaker 1: and now here we are again with the Alton Sterling case.
- 41:12Speaker 1: This one's of course, out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Prosecutors
- 41:16Speaker 1: in Louisiana said yesterday on Tuesday that the two Baton
- 41:20Speaker 1: Rouge police officers that were responsible for his death will
- 41:24Speaker 1: not be prosecuted for shooting and killing him. Alton Sterling
- 41:28Speaker 1: was thirty seven years old. This happened back in two
- 41:31Speaker 1: thousand sixteen. Uh Sterling, remember this happened. It was the
- 41:37Speaker 1: summer and Philando Castile shortly after Minnesota. Yeah, I remember
- 41:44Speaker 1: that home. Yeah it was. It was a horrible, horrible year. Uh.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Sterling's death sparked, of course, a wave of protests over
- 41:51Speaker 1: the officer's use of deadly force and encounter that was
- 41:54Speaker 1: caught in graphic detail. Now they had video of this
- 41:58Speaker 1: in graphic detail. On video Sterling penned on the ground
- 42:02Speaker 1: under two white police officers had moments, moments to live
- 42:07Speaker 1: when a bystander with a cell phone started recording. The
- 42:11Speaker 1: cops were responding to a nine one one call about
- 42:13Speaker 1: a man selling CDs and waving a gun in front
- 42:16Speaker 1: of a convenience store. The cops said later that Sterling
- 42:20Speaker 1: resisted arrest, ignoring verbal commands, and was reaching for a
- 42:24Speaker 1: gun in his pocket his shooting. Do you remember, Shirley, Now,
- 42:28Speaker 1: do you remember this, you guys, Shirley, Steve, everybody you
- 42:31Speaker 1: remember the convenience store owner gave Alton Sterling permission to
- 42:38Speaker 1: sell c ds there. They had a relationship, he was
- 42:41Speaker 1: he was a friend of the store owners. You guys
- 42:43Speaker 1: remember this? And so this video more, yeah, even worse,
- 42:49Speaker 1: you know. I mean, the video is out right now
- 42:53Speaker 1: on social media. Steve Harvey FM dot com is circulating everywhere.
- 42:57Speaker 1: People are looking at the video because the cops didn't
- 43:00Speaker 1: release there's more video that's being released now that people
- 43:05Speaker 1: are seeing. But it's so heartbreaking to see Alton Sterling
- 43:08Speaker 1: down on that ground like that and for the police
- 43:11Speaker 1: to shoot and kill him like that. It just was
- 43:15Speaker 1: not necessary to do that, to take his life like that.
- 43:19Speaker 1: It just wasn't I mean pleading for his life minutes
- 43:21Speaker 1: with minutes to live? Okay, So the cops were responding
- 43:26Speaker 1: to a nine one one call about a man selling
- 43:28Speaker 1: CDs and waving a gun in front of a convenience store.
- 43:31Speaker 1: As we were saying, the cops said later Sterling resisted arrest,
- 43:34Speaker 1: ignoring verbal commands, and was reaching for a gun in
- 43:37Speaker 1: his pocket. Is shooting death sparked outrage in Baton Rouge, Louisiana,
- 43:41Speaker 1: and all over the country. But Officer Blaine, Salimony Salimany
- 43:47Speaker 1: and fellow officer how We Lake learned yesterday on Tuesday
- 43:51Speaker 1: that they will not face criminal charges. Take a listen
- 43:54Speaker 1: to the Sterling family's attorney statement about demanding justice and accountability.
- 43:59Speaker 1: They will not be seeking any criminal charges in this matter.
- 44:02Speaker 1: A lot of us weren't even surprised by his announcement
- 44:04Speaker 1: that takes courage to have political office, takes courage to
- 44:08Speaker 1: be a prosecutor, takes courage to fight for justice, and
- 44:13Speaker 1: we didn't see that in this situation. We were disappointed
- 44:16Speaker 1: that he's not seeking justice. We were disappointed that they
- 44:18Speaker 1: didn't even take it to a grand jury. We were
- 44:21Speaker 1: disappointed in reading this very biased report that they didn't
- 44:24Speaker 1: even follow up with a lot of the witnesses and
- 44:26Speaker 1: reinterview them. And we know that the repercussions isn't getting violent,
- 44:31Speaker 1: Getting upset is getting you out of office. That's how
- 44:33Speaker 1: you hold accountability. The only thing people care about is power.
- 44:36Speaker 1: This was a political decision, So in order to respond,
- 44:39Speaker 1: we will hold you politically accountable from city council, mayor police, chief,
- 44:44Speaker 1: attorney general, whoever you may be. If you are standing
- 44:47Speaker 1: up for justice, people are there getting smarter. We know
- 44:49Speaker 1: that to hold you accountable is to get rid of
- 44:51Speaker 1: your job. If you're not going to step up, it
- 44:53Speaker 1: has to start to be some type of ramifications and
- 44:58Speaker 1: consequences for killing unarmed people. Maybe then it would force
- 45:03Speaker 1: police departments everywhere to sharpen their training. There's gotta be
- 45:09Speaker 1: away because all these people keep getting shot is black,
- 45:14Speaker 1: and there's gotta be a way to have some type
- 45:18Speaker 1: of training. But once again, I'm gonna say this, the
- 45:22Speaker 1: problem with the training is if you notice when you
- 45:25Speaker 1: look at gun ranges and all that, all the targets
- 45:28Speaker 1: they shoot at the black and I just think, man,
- 45:32Speaker 1: that's just me. I just think there's a correlation there.
- 45:37Speaker 1: The nephews coming up with a prank phone call. We'll
- 45:39Speaker 1: be back. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Boy.
- 45:43Speaker 1: You've got hot in here, didn't it? All? Right? Coming
- 45:45Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, right about four
- 45:48Speaker 1: minutes after, it's Today's Strawberry letter. But up next it
- 45:52Speaker 1: is the nephew with the prank phone call. Everybody, everybody?
- 45:59Speaker 1: What check bounce? Mathematician ballot man up? I stand corrected?
- 46:11Speaker 1: You did? I called it? Yeah? You know I spelled
- 46:16Speaker 1: better than he think. Yeah, it's that, ma'am that got
- 46:20Speaker 1: him that time, Steve, when you couldn't spell ma'am. Well,
- 46:23Speaker 1: I couldn't spare words one time. Don't tell nobody. No, no,
- 46:27Speaker 1: he couldn't, he said, w Z. I don't start him
- 46:31Speaker 1: to tell anybody. Okay, we can tell everybody. See, I
- 46:34Speaker 1: ain't shame my mind. Yeah, your check bounced? Here it
- 46:37Speaker 1: is hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach your Monica system. Monica. Please,
- 46:46Speaker 1: this is brother de Sean. I'm calling Actually, I'm remember
- 46:49Speaker 1: Greater the Missionary Baptist Church. How can I help you?
- 46:53Speaker 1: Calling you? Actually about the offering? Now? Did you I
- 46:55Speaker 1: know you paid your ties? Okay, now you pay the
- 47:00Speaker 1: love offering as well, right, yes, okay, Now this past Sunday. Um,
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm looking at a check that you left us with
- 47:08Speaker 1: the bank, right, right, I sure did. I wrote a
- 47:10Speaker 1: check Sunday. Okay. Now the check, ma'am was two hundred
- 47:15Speaker 1: and fifty dollars. Am I correct? Right? Right? I wrote
- 47:18Speaker 1: two checks for my ties and the love offering. Right,
- 47:21Speaker 1: I wrote one for two fifty for the love offering. Okay?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Now what is this call regarding? Why are you calling me?
- 47:27Speaker 1: What I wanted to tell you is that I hate
- 47:29Speaker 1: to be a bit of bad news, but you your
- 47:32Speaker 1: check that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced.
- 47:36Speaker 1: And wait a minute, you said my check bound for
- 47:39Speaker 1: two Your check bounce. So what I'm doing is calling
- 47:43Speaker 1: you about recouping the two fifty as well as you
- 47:46Speaker 1: know you you cost us thirty dollars uh in bank fees.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Wait a minute, now, I wrote two checks. I wrote
- 47:53Speaker 1: a check for a hundred dollars. Did that one bounce?
- 47:56Speaker 1: I don't see two? It that that that one bound?
- 47:58Speaker 1: All I know is the one that of offering has bounced.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Did you put them in at the same time? Because
- 48:03Speaker 1: I wrote him at the same time. They all go
- 48:05Speaker 1: in on Monday, ma'am. Now, I didn't put them in
- 48:07Speaker 1: at the same time. I've been putting them in for
- 48:09Speaker 1: the last two or three years. The problem is why
- 48:11Speaker 1: would people write them? Brother Sean Sunday. I don't think
- 48:17Speaker 1: it matters when when I was there, man, The problem
- 48:20Speaker 1: is that I didn't put these checks in. And I
- 48:22Speaker 1: don't understand why y'all write these checks to the ching
- 48:25Speaker 1: that they're gonna because a lot of people right, that
- 48:28Speaker 1: good clear? Why the other one didn't clear? Maybe you
- 48:33Speaker 1: didn't have enough money for both of them to clear.
- 48:35Speaker 1: What did you just say? Maybe you didn't have enough
- 48:39Speaker 1: money in the bank for both of them to clip.
- 48:40Speaker 1: And I don't understand why people in the bank at all.
- 48:44Speaker 1: My checks clear, I don't write no. Well, you wrote
- 48:47Speaker 1: one on Sunday, and that's the problem. How are you
- 48:50Speaker 1: gonna try to give a look? Wait a minute, I
- 48:52Speaker 1: think you got me confused with somebody else. I don't
- 48:54Speaker 1: write no bad checks. You didn't wrote that. I'm trying
- 48:58Speaker 1: to be nice to you. When can we expect the
- 49:00Speaker 1: two fifty plus the thirty dollars, So thirty dollars that's
- 49:04Speaker 1: the bank fees, ma'am for the doll gonna check bouncing.
- 49:07Speaker 1: My check didn't bounce. I don't check my bank. And
- 49:09Speaker 1: if my check clear, you're gonna pay me thirty dollars
- 49:12Speaker 1: for calling me harassing me about a two hundred and
- 49:14Speaker 1: fifty dollar check bounce. I don't write Why would you
- 49:18Speaker 1: right check? What? You want to? Sit up in the
- 49:20Speaker 1: church and write these big number checks when you know
- 49:22Speaker 1: you ain't got it in the bank. I said, why
- 49:25Speaker 1: would you write these checks when the money ain't in? Now,
- 49:29Speaker 1: let me tell you one thing. I don't write no
- 49:32Speaker 1: bad check, and you got a lot nerds calling me
- 49:35Speaker 1: telling me my check bounce. Y'all, check is the one
- 49:37Speaker 1: that has bound. And you tell you what you do
- 49:39Speaker 1: since my check bounce, you paid them, since you got
- 49:42Speaker 1: all the money, And don't call me with this again. Hello,
- 49:49Speaker 1: don't you hang upon me no more? When when don't
- 49:51Speaker 1: we gonna get this two fifty and this thirty dollars?

- 50:03Speaker 1: are you calling me? Why the treacher don't call me
- 50:05Speaker 1: at church? The tragic is best. I ain't never know
- 50:08Speaker 1: the deacon called nobody about no bad check. You're fully
- 50:14Speaker 1: thank you you got the money I ain't got Who
- 50:18Speaker 1: is that in the background? Who is that for mine?
- 50:20Speaker 1: Who it is? We're both going to the same church,
- 50:22Speaker 1: and you're gonna call me to my I wrote a
- 50:24Speaker 1: bad check. You don't you call me no more? And
- 50:26Speaker 1: if the check bad, you paid? Okay? Keep passed to
- 50:30Speaker 1: know you're talking like this. You passed to know you're
- 50:32Speaker 1: calling me? Can you after that? Look? When are we
- 50:35Speaker 1: gonna get this? Two eight dollars is what we're looking
- 50:38Speaker 1: for from you? I wrote a check for two fifties
- 50:40Speaker 1: and not get to eighty. You put with it? You
- 50:44Speaker 1: put two fifty in there? It pounce thirty dollars cost
- 50:48Speaker 1: us on bait fees. That's to eighty. Where can the
- 50:51Speaker 1: church expect their money? Never? Not no to eighty. You
- 50:55Speaker 1: will never get to eighty. You're gonna make me come
- 50:57Speaker 1: by and my check in. But what you gonna do?
- 51:00Speaker 1: What You're gonna make me come by your house and
- 51:02Speaker 1: get this money? Bring it? Bring it, bring it? What
- 51:06Speaker 1: is the address on this check? Check? I got it
- 51:09Speaker 1: off the checking. I bet you you'll be limping back
- 51:12Speaker 1: and I'm watching you. You bet not be spending no
- 51:15Speaker 1: money nowhere. You bet not spend nothing until I get
- 51:17Speaker 1: this two fifty plus thirty whatever I want to know.
- 51:21Speaker 1: You don't you know what I am? And you don't
- 51:23Speaker 1: call me no more with this because my check did
- 51:26Speaker 1: not bounce. I don't see how one check went through

- 57:46Speaker 1: I know you'd like to turn every problem into a joke,
- 57:49Speaker 1: but please be kind. I'm in thirty nine year old
- 57:52Speaker 1: black male who turned his life around ten years ago
- 57:55Speaker 1: when I left the street life and joined the Nation
- 57:57Speaker 1: of Islam. Since then, I spent most of my free
- 58:01Speaker 1: time in the community, making a difference and helping the
- 58:04Speaker 1: youth of today overcome their obstacles to become successful adult.
- 58:08Speaker 1: While being involved with single mother Learning Annex, I meet
- 58:12Speaker 1: another young lady that had volunteered to help with the program.
- 58:15Speaker 1: She is so full of life. She's gentle, smart and
- 58:18Speaker 1: beautiful and really has herself together. People just love her.
- 58:23Speaker 1: She just has a way that makes everyone around her special.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Because she is so genuine and pleasant, I have completely
- 58:31Speaker 1: fallen for her. We have so many of the same
- 58:34Speaker 1: views on life and the world that when I'm with
- 58:37Speaker 1: her she makes me feel ten ft tall. We are
- 58:40Speaker 1: not in a relationship or have never messed around, but
- 58:44Speaker 1: I want her badly, but not just in a sexual way,
- 58:48Speaker 1: but fully in a spiritual I want her to be
- 58:51Speaker 1: by my side forever way. Here we go, Here we go. Now,
- 59:00Speaker 1: of course there is an issue, or I wouldn't be
- 59:02Speaker 1: writing you, ready, Steve. She is white. So now I'm
- 59:10Speaker 1: stuck between a rock and a hard place. Oh yeah,
- 59:19Speaker 1: the nation and most of the folks the nation and
- 59:25Speaker 1: most of the folks that I fight the everyday battle
- 59:29Speaker 1: in White America, Quiet Dubby in White America. No, and
- 59:33Speaker 1: love her, but I know that it still would not
- 59:35Speaker 1: be cool to them that me and her would be together.
- 59:39Speaker 1: I'm so torn from what I have built and been
- 59:42Speaker 1: a part of for the last ten years and my
- 59:44Speaker 1: love for this woman. Where do I go from here? Man?
- 59:51Speaker 1: Was good? Okay, okay, all right, well let me just
- 59:59Speaker 1: say this to where do I go from here? I
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: let Steve take it from here. But but love has
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: no color. You gotta know that, I mean, God created everybody.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I'm glad that you had I'm glad that you turned
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: your life around and all of that. But you know,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: the heart loves who had loved I have the brothers
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: at the mosque. They may not be too happy about
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: this situation, but but love is a beautiful thing, and
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: this is your life and this is your loved So
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: don't let anyone, I don't care who it is, steal
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: your joy. Steve, I gave you all the time you needed.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Letter right here. I ain't even had time to go
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: over this letter. I'm in shocked. Here's a man you
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: really think I'm feeling right now, just at the opening line,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: I'm fretting nine, your old black male who has turned
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: his life around ten years ago from street life and
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: joined the Nation. Off is long. Yes, lord, I'm not
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: an expert on the nation. Uh. He's been working in community.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Then he got involved with a single mother, learning that
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: next then he met this young lady volunteered with the
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: program Full of Life. She's so gentle and smart and beautiful,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: really got herself together. People just love her to death.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: She just makes everybody around hers feel so special because
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: she's so genuine and pleasant and I have completely fallen
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: for her. So many of the same views on life
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: in the world. I'm with her. She makes me feel
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: ten feet tall. Come on, brother, we are not in
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: a relationship or have ever messed around. But I won't
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: her bad. I don't know that's right. But not just
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: in a sexual way, but fully in a spiritual that's
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: complete love. I want her to be by my side forever.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: That's from now. Sound like wedding bells to me? Me
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: to read the letters. Still, of course there isn't issue,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: or I wouldn't be writing. She is white? Oh, friends
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: of brother Johnson, Oh hey, oh no you didn't. I'll
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: be damn. Did you say white? Nan? He is? Are
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you referring as in snow white? I'm just trying to
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: make what white you're talking about. You're talking about like
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: the bright white smile center. You do you mean pro
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: white lady with white hair white? If that's the white
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: you're talking about. When we come back, I have news
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: for you. You're listening to morning show, all right, Steve,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: come on, let's go with part two of your response
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: to days strawberry letter. I don't want this woman in
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: just a sexual way. This is a brother who's the
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: thirty nine member of the Nation of Islam, met this
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: woman at this single mother, learning and next, who's full
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: of life, general, small, beautiful, really has herself together. People
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: love her. She's just a way of making everybody around
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: her feel special, so genuine and pleasant, completely falling for her.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: We are so many the same views of life that
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: the world, and when I'm not, she makes me feel
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: ten feet tall. We're not in a relationship, nor have
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: never messed around, but I want her badly, but not
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: in a sexual way, but fully in a spiritual way.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I want her to be by my side for forever.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Of course, there is an issue, or I wouldn't be writing.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: She is white right there, snow white, the bright white
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: smiles center where when you open your mouth and talk,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: people got to put on blue block of sun glass.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Come on, he says. Right after that, So now I'm
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: stuck between a rock and a hall place. You need
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: to correct that sentence. Right there, your asses between a
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: rock and a rock here in a hard place. I
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: don't know which one you're calling the hard place, but
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: you're between two rocks. Part because your next statement kills
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: it for me, he says, the nation and most of
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the folks that I fight the everyday battle within white America.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: He Lord, did you declare in your letter that you
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: are fighting a battle against white America. Now you're gonna
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: bring white to the house. Come on, you're fit the
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: move white. En. Now, if you're considering you're fighting a
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: battle every day with white America, you're gonna move white
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: in which you guess who's coming to them? Now? Now
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: everybody loves huh, But I know that it will still
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: not be cool to them that me and how would
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: be together? Who you're talking? It wouldn't be cool with who,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: because it's sadly cool with me. Where do I go
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: from here? Well, let got some suggestion. First of all,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: let's look at the delimma that you're going to face
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: when you're married this girl, because that's what you're going
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: to do. Because you're so strong on this girl. It
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: didn't cause you to write a national letter. Now, I
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: don't know how you figure. The people are here and
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: this ain't gonna know who you are? You thirty nine,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: you black, you in the nation. You work out a
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: single lady complex. They're gonna now this down right away,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: and you're always over there in the white girl face.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Now you're gonna figure this out. You didn't gave her
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: bean pie for her birthday? You're talking of how to
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: read the final call. You just up in here. You're
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: sharing issues. Now you just showed how to tieboat. Shouldn't matter.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: They gotta picture her time your boat. A matter of fact,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: she's selling some papers for you. But then let me Now,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: let's suppose you marry. Huh, how do you put Beckett
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: X on the Marriick c ticket call Mohammed? So just
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: trying to go over the name Susi Mohammed. Come on,
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Cindy Mohammed. Uh huh, Amy X, Julie X. And here's
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: the biggie Barbie X. I don't know how you're gonna
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: sell this with homie, but they no need to. You
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: talking about Steve turn everything into it to bamboo. But
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: you can't get hoodwinked. You can't be bamboos and you
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: certainly in the bamboozer. Your boys see that. I'm just
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: repeating what's in his letter. See, I don't care who
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: he mad. I think you are the man whoever he
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: in love with. But you can't leave this double life.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: You fitling to leave. You can't show him at the
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: mosque with this girl with a mosque. I'll fit on it.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Looking I'm just trying to tell you you're gonna have
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: to cart this Muslim thing out the country. But she
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: can't do it here like that, bro, You know getting
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: here where what you're saying, it is crazy to move
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: the vella's squalor. But you are in a fight, everyday
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: battle in white America. His words, his words, Why not
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: fight a miracle with one of the youth standing up,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: throwing that white America. Let the white girl do it.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Let I talk about the president, Let her bring up
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: all the issues and concerns for black people. Give her
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: a podium. Let me let her wearyall suit you right
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: switching gears now, Heineken has pulled their controversial ad One
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: beer company may need a lesson in optics chance. The
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Rapper blasted Heineken for an ad that seemed blatantly blatantly racist.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: The commercial features a bartender sliding a bottle of Heineken
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Light to a woman. The bottle travels past several black
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: people before arriving at a lighter, paler skinned woman. Heineken
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: released a statement in response, saying, while we feel the
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: ad is referencing our Heineken light beer and that light
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: beer is better than other high calorie options. We missed
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: the mark and are taking the feedback to heart, and
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: we'll use this to influence future campaigns. Chance the rapper
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: called out Heineken, speculating that the brewer may have made
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the ad intentionally racist in order to attract more publicity.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: So there you go. That ad is it obviously says
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: lighter is better because slide this beer past all these
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: black people at the ball, A lady walking by, a
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: black dude playing a guitar, all the slide pass all
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: these dog people to this lighter woman who is of
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: some other something lighter is better. Well, come on, man,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: damn you had to slide that past. Why don't you
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: slide the past all them dog as beer as you're
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: talking about? Yeah, that would have made more sense. See
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: that would then then it would have really showed that
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: your lighter calorie bear is better. But you slid past
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: a bunch of dog people. I'm just gonna say it.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: I to put it out there anyway. I don't know
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: how hand it can taste. I've never had it based
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: on commercials Miller Miller dancing, and I don't even drink,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: but I don't even know which you want to taste
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: better what's going off commercial, I'm a Millerman in ten minutes, Guys,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Actor singer Jesse Small, let a k. Jamal Lyon from
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Empire will be our special guest. Yeah you're listening, Steve
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Morning Show. Y'all listen. Our special guest stars as Jamal
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Uh in Fox's hit show Empire. His role as Jamal
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: allows him to uh you know, blaying both his acting
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: and his musical skills, which were showcased. He's got new
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: albums called Some of My Music s u M Some
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Some of My Music. The new season of Vampire kicks
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: off tonight. We can't wait to see what Cookie lucis
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: up to, what Jamal is up to. We're about to
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: find out about it. Uh So let's go on, let's
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: find out about this new season Empire. Please welcome to
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the show, one of your favorites, Jesse Small, Welcome back,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: even though I just saw Steve a couple of weeks
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: ago in our land on this show. Yeah, dude, look good,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: you know what? It look good? You know, and you
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: know you didn't fell off when he's sitting next to
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: you and you realize, man like man, Steve is the kid.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Don't even trip even don't even lie Man, how y'all doing,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Oh we're good man. This new season Empire kicks off
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: tonight Wednesday. Everybody, we can't wait. The last season ended
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: with some cliffhangers and Lucius is being held captives somewhere.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: How does this new season stuff? I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: it's crazy. It's crazy, man, Um, No, it's tough. Actually,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: it's this is it's funny because the first episode is
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: kind of a standalone episode really to kind of I
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: don't know, um, close out certain you know, certain storylines
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: or whatever, and then but but it really is to
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: me more crazy Nurse Claudia Man just goes Cathy Bates
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: misery crazy. But it's what It's not funny because it's
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I guess it's terrifying. To me. It's funny because I
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: was there while they were shooting it. But but it's
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: just this classic story of like, you know, a princess
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: being you know, locked in a tower and being saved
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: by her prince on a white horse. Except the princess
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: is Lucia's and the prince on the white horses Cookie,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: so she comes he comes through. But it's interesting because
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: by the time the episode ends, y'all will see Cookie
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: and Lucia's getting to a place where, you know, by
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: the end of the season. I don't give too much away,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: but you know, it's it's good to see that they're
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: actually starting to tackle certain things that they need in
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: order to kind of bring the family good. I'm really
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: trying not to say too much, but I'm happy with
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: the ending. There's a there's a there's a light at
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: the end of the tunnel at the ending of this episode.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: That's good news. Well, I got a question for Jamal
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: because you know, Jamal killed a lah, So what's happening
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: with your character Jamal? Now he's really kind of seeing um,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: you know, first boss ironic that of all the Suns,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: he's the first one to actually actually kill somebody. I
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: mean andred and hid some bodies, but he's actually has
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: killed someone now, um, and the show is so I
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: only realize how crazy the show is when I start
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: doing interviews for it. Realized I would sane um. But no,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: he's gonna see, you know, kind of a lot of
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: backlash coming towards him personally and for as his career,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: for his career because you know, he's kind of a
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: right now kind of America's Sweetheart, if you will, and
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: here he comes being the the killing someone also that
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: was really respected. No one in the public really knew
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: about the du Boise, about what they were capable of,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: about what he was a part of, so he would
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: takes character. Angelo was really respected in the community. So
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: for Jamal too, for that to happen to kind of,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: you know, it goes against him for sure, and he
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: kind of has to go in internal if you will. Yeah,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: there's one episode coming up. I think it's like the
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: third episode back where Robin Roberts get stars and she
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: does an interview with Jamal and it is straight up
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: completely gone wrong. But you know, it's just classic classic
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: pop star uh mess up interview. So it's it's it's
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: a good time. And I just wanted to make a
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: special announcement to y'all. I've been holding this a secret.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: Y'all don't know. I'll be guest starring on Empire as
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Lucius is Uncle coming in. I'm just coming in this
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: one episode and just let's see but but let's see
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: but see, this is exactly what Lucious Lion needs. Nobody
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: is an older man to just come in and whoop
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: his ass. That's what I said. I've been called Lee's Daniels.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I don't see see how we leave you know what?
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: That's what Cookie has now because Alfred Woodard has joined
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: the Castle's Cookie mother. Oh yeah, so now we have
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: directed an episode this season and I got to direct
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: a free and and tries you to seek Cookie in
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: that vulnerable state, to see Cookie in that, you know,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: also to see her in a vulnerable state with another female.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: That It's no competition for a company or for a
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: man or anything like that. It just is that that
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: vulnerability of a child to their mother. You know what
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: I'm saying, a daughter to their mother specifically. It's dope.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: It's it's acting one oh one, It's like the greatest stuff.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Can't wait, Oh, can't wait. So just you're not only
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: an actor. We know that you're an awesome musician. So
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: tell us about your new music. The some of my music. Yes,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: it's called some of my Music and it's um uh
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: ten tracks. I just was quietly recording and getting it done.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: I released it on my own uh my own record
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: company music Sound and it's just all like it's just
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: all love. It's it's it's out now. It's out now
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: and we're about to go on tour and May, so
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: it's it's all. It feels like freedom and so grateful
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: that it's finally out. So if everybody wants to check
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: it out, how how did they check it out? Jesse?
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: They can check it out on all music platforms and streaming,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: the download you'll be able to get on my the
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: CD at my shows and everything like that. I'm gonna
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna release a vinyl at some point, so it's
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: it's exciting. But yet right now you can get it
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: all on everything, streaming or downloading. Now me now some
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: of my music s u M. That's how. So everybody
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: get it and then don't forget Fox's big hid show,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Empire kicks off tonight Wednesday. We can't wait, man. I
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: love y'all. Thank you for that, always the support. I
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: love y'all so much. You don't even understand. We love
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: you too. And it sounds like you're living your best life. Jesse,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: thank you so much. I'm trying and I'm trying to
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: keep on doing it. Man, keep giving them over here
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: and sold you. We gotta love for you. Jesse Smiller
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: to everybody. Back tonight on Fox the Lions and Steve
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: is coming soon. All I want to do just forgetting kidnap?
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: What ident is gonna sing? You're listening, hey, get ready

- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Christ Superstar Live in Concert. It stars Grammy and oscar Would,
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: John Legend as Jesus sing a songwriter, Sarah Burrellus as
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: Mary Magdalene, Alice Cooper as King Harrod and Brandon, Victor
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Dixon as Judas. You don't want to miss this powerful
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: story of the last days of Jesus and the passion
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: of the greatest story ever told. Don't miss this one
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: of a kind event, Jesus Christ Superstar Live this Sunday
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: on NBC. So why should you act single in a relationship?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: When you're falling in love? It's easy to get totally
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: consumed by your new partner and spend all your time
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: with them. It feels great at a time, right, but
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: when things start to fall apart, it can make it
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: even harder. And one way to avoid that is by
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: maintaining some aspects of singleness while you're in a relationship.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: What I mean it means like, for instance, having great
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: friends you know, still having your friends, not just being
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: so into that person that you you know, shun your friends,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: don't talk to your friends, don't go out with your friends,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: things like that. So having great friends take the takes
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: the pressure off your partner to be everything. No one
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: can be everything to you. Even if your partner is amazing,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: you still need your friends. I think that even in
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: a marriage, you have to maintain some individuality. You know nobody.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: You know, it's it's cool to be joined as one,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: but come on, now, go on. Everybody needs some me time.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, everybody needs some This is what I like
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: to do, and I know you don't care to do it,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: but it's just cool if I go do it anyway.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: My wife don't play golf, but you know, when I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: hook up with my boys Calhoun, Blue and Brandon, I
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: may go somewhere for three days. We're going to play golf.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: We got a little tournament going. We'll be having a
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: good time. Let me go do that so I can
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: rejuvenate my spirit mission for three days. Calling any baby,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: how was your trip? Blah blah blah blah. She does
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: things on her own separately. I think that, Yeah, I
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: just want to say he's in Australia holding baby kangaroos.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: None of that if he's in front, so you get
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: kicked baby elephants. Where's the mama? I'm too careful, Marger
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: do all that when I ain't round because she's no
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: good in here? Well huh no. Yeah, So it also
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: says Steve. Having a good social life outside of your relationship.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: It keeps you from getting bored. Spending time with your
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: best sis, like you just said, helps you enrich your relationship,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: and it lets you both have new experiences that broaden
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: your interests. Also, have your own hobbies. Okay, have your
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: own hobbies makes you feel if that makes you feel
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: more secure about everything. Cigars and golf, Okay, do either
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: one of them. So you need to split your time
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: up evenly between your friends, your family, your relationship, career,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: hobbies and such. You know that ain't happen. Yeah, you
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: should definitely spend more time with your family. No, you're
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: not getting no even time with your friends as your
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: family and your damn hobbies. Yeah, so there's two times
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: you ain't here at the house trying to make anybody else. Okay,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: that's ridiculous. Yeah, and we ladies love girls night out
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: we love, you know, yeah, hanging out with the girls,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: maybe catching a movie, going out for drinks and dinner, whatever.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Girl friends, do you all have ladies that you could
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: hang out with? I mean, if it's a group, say
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: like six or seven. If it's a group, maybe even
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: more than that. Sometimes it depends. Yeah, yeah, I have
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: like five strong girlfriends. Because I use that term very careful, right,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. Yeah, girlfriends, my friend. I don't
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: use that term loosely at all. Is that what we're
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: trying to get to know? And I just played here,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: don't talk to the girls. Okay, So ladies about six
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: to seven or five girls? If y'all hang out with
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: if you all have a girl's like, what does it
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: look like? Give me an idea? Okay, it might start
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: out with it might start out with lunch. It might
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: start out that way. We're hanging all day. Then we
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: might go to a movie. Then we might catch dinner
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: and just you know, hang around and kick it at dinner,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: drink stuff like that. And so for me, not really lunch,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: but I'll do dinner. We do drinks, go to the bar,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: maybe happy hour, we have dinner. I like sushi a
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: lot of my girlfriends. We like sushi, especially my best
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: friend Tor. So we go eat sushi and then we
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: talk and hang out and we may even you know,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I don't. We won't catch a movie though, because sometimes
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I get sleepy. Well you make sure, yeah, prior to that.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: So just keep it going. Maybe go to a hotel,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: listen to some music, you know, like in the bar,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: you know, something sexy like that. Steve and I love company.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I love company. I love having like the girls over
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: stuff like that. I love having company. That's what Margie
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: does a lot of her and her girl Vicky and Milly.
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: They split up time and teasing. They split up time
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: at each other's house. I love who like these somebody
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: they have some some cater and company bringing order and
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: they sit around all day. They had a little niblets
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: and fried fish nuggets and do that champagne. Then they
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: go over somebody else's house the next time and do
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: the same thing out there. You know, I can't have
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you guys over to the house. No I ain't. I
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: ain't got no time when I'm home. I'm a boy myself.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I can take golf trips with my boy Big Blue
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: co Quick out of Carolina. Yeah, he's cool. Then straight
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: out the gunk. We're about to move out here to
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: l A though. And then Brandon, who is my chief
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: legal officer but also a good friend, and me, and
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: then then my dudes, all of them arry, all of
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: them got kids, all of them got wives. That way,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: then we ain't got to be up here talking about
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: nothing else and nobody trying to bring nothing to the circle.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: That ain't right, you know, ain't nobody trying to timp nobody.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Hey man, we're gonna go, but I got these girls. No, no, no, no,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: no no. We're playing golf. We have in dinner and
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: we keeping scot it's a three day tournament tomorrow we're
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: gonna totally schools again. Whoever wins the three day tournament
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: between the four of us, he gets to go in
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: the pro shop and buy whatever he won't the other
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: ones had to buy. Still want club shoes, shirts, jackets,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: cap whatever he wants, golf app He going the pro
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: shop and buy whatever he won't, And everybody got there.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: That's fair. Yeah, that's cool. Everybody pitted and buy for
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: Then we take turns paying for dinner and drinks that night.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: I bring all the sick. All right, listen, this is crazy. No,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: it's more of the Steve Harvey mar of the Steve
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this. You're listening
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So let's continue this
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: um conversation we were having about relationships and things like that,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: things that we do separately to keep our own identity,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: our own sense of self while maintaining, you know, it's
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: still a good relationship with our partners, with our spouses.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: So Steve, you were saying, you you do golf, You
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: go golfing with the boys with cigars. Yeah, my favorite
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: at of with her. You know, that's my favorite vacation
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: with her. Every year you all go to some baller places.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: Favorite thing. It's like, I only do it once a year,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: but I work all year long for that moment. Yeah,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: And I know you did. I know you've said that
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: because of Marjorie, You've expanded your horizon in terms of, uh,
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: you know, where you go in the world, because before
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: you just went to Vegas and that was cool with you.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: You were cool is over there? Yeah, Venice is over there, right,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you know, the Belaggio Sopher friends us all there. You
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: know what what else do you need? It's gambling. The
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: food is good and you can gamble. Why you while
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: you eat and smoker sitting off? Why are you gambling
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: any I'd have had a plate bought to the machine. Yeah,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: while you're in your eating chicken wings and everything, playing
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: video poker and smoking a cigar, we're the free drink
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: in my hand. Yeah, all that's that's available. So she
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: changed all of that. My favorite place is no longer Vegas.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: My favorite places overseas? Wow? What about that safari you
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: went on? Listen, I believe that every person should see
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: the continent of want. I just think a person should
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: see that. It's it's like the most amazing thing. And
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: they take you right out into the bush. You understand,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: you see actual kills. You see a lion running down
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: the water hall I mean running, he holling the whole time.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: But do you feel safe? I mean that was a
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: couple of moments, man, Why I didn't feel safe at all?
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: And I told the driver, Hey, man, I just think
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: we're too close to these elephants. I do this all
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: the time. You're perfectly safe. I know how to work
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: amongst you. I don't give a damn what you though,
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: don't take my family up there next to the elephant. Ass.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: That ain't what I want to see. No, Man, they'd
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: be tripping. Man them elephants. Man, and if like you
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: run up into one of them and they and musk,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: you know, and man them big bulls. Man, they are huge.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: They're not like what you see in the zoo. They
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: eat what they want. There's plentyfood out there. They eat
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: all damn day. They just grow it and they shot. Man,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: it's really scary. I don't like. That's my least favorite
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: thing to do, to ride amongst the elephants. He had
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: us in there so close. I just whispered to to do,
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: I say, that's bad this trunk. Did you see gorillas? Dog?
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: What gorillas are mostly mountain mountainous terrains. Well no, obviously, yeah,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: I didn't see according to see. Okay, So I didn't
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: you think calm that there just over that sitting quest
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: sitting next to a lassa jungle. And I asked him, No,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't know gorillas. It's those so far
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: as are not in mount this areas with gorillas research,
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: that's all you had to say. Well, I watch a
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: lot of National geographs. I'm sorry, tell me my apologies
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: that I don't watch what he No, I'm just but no,
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: I didn't see no damn gorillas out there on the
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: sand getting and you ain't either, all right, nor of
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. More of this craziness right
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: this story is going to remain in the news for
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: a while. The President has his hands full with this one,
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: and he hasn't said anything yet. Also, there's another story
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: in the Huffington's post, we are Outraged. It talks about
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Sandra Bland, Freddie Gray, Sean Bell, Tamir Rice, and Alton Sterling.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: The list goes on and on. Here we go again,
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: girl up. List goes on and on of black men, women,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: and black children who have died as a result of
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: encounters with law enforcement and they received no justice, while
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: those responsible for their deaths, the same ones who pledge,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: you know, to protect and serve uh, face little or
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: no repercussions. That is ridiculous. It's sad, It's it's just
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: it makes me angry. It's like, you know, there's a
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: vicious cycle. They kill us and they get off you
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: know bottles cycle and over and over again, we watch
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: for justice. We plead for justice. You know when we
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: when we um uh protest for justice saying black lives matter,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: nothing happens. We get criticized for that, and here we
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: are again. Here we are again. Well yesterday, but now
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: you see, let me say this too, sure Steve, before
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: you come in, here we go again. Now you see
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: why Colin Kaepernick do you see what? Now he took
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: a need Do you see why? Now he was kneeling
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: this right here. That happens over and over, but go ahead, yeah,
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: and it has nothing to do with disrespecting the American
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: flag or the men and women who are in our military. Okay,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: so yesterday the bout and Rouge police officer UH will
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: not face any charges in the shooting death of Alton Sterling.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: That was the news on yesterday. So Steve, you know
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: this is crazy, right? Another one? Come on, yes, you
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: and your grandmama backyard. It's problem. Nothing happens to these
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: police because you're a police. It does not give you
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: an the authority to murder someone. This is not against
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: all police. I know a lot of really great police officers,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: but it's the few, the few to get through the
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: cracks those people that have those preconceived notions of black
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: people that ain't got no problem putting one down. I'm
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: gonna have something to do. Shoot a boy twenty times
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: who ain't firing back. He didn't shoot the gun that
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: you said he had, that he didn't have, He didn't
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: make one aggressive move towards you, and it requires twenty shots.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: That's crazy. At one point in time, the Justice Department
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: is gonna have to get involved in all of these
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: police shootings and take it off of the state level,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: because what's what's happening is if it stays on the
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: state level, then the police department does their business. We've
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: got to get it on federal level and it has
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: to start to be some type of ramifications and consequences
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: for killing unarmed people. Maybe then it would force police
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: departments everywhere to sharpen their training. There's gotta be away
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: because all these people keep getting shot is black, and
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: there's gotta be a way to have some type of training.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: But once again, I'm gonna say this, the problem with
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: the training is if you notice when you look at
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: gun rangers and all that, all the targets they shoot
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: at they're black. They on white paper and they're black,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: and I just think, man, that's just me. I just
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: think there's a correlation there that when you see the
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: black figure you produced to kill shot. All right, when
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: we come back, it's just one more thing. With Steve's
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: closing remarks, we'll be back right after this. You're listening
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: to show here we are last break of the day
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: wants to get It's about sharing, uh, the things that
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: I've learned along the way, And one of the things
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: I think is very important that we should talk about.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: We should talk about blame and excuses. Um, blame and excuses.
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, they serve no purpose. Excuses first
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: of all, are only good for the person that's providing them.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: It does nothing for the person who receives it. Have
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: you ever had somebody tell you a reason why they
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: do didn't do something and you were counting on them
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: to get it done and they gave you an excuse
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: as to why. Okay, here's somebody is supposed to pick
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: you up in the car pool for work. Now you
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: didn't gave your car to your spouse so they could
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: go do what they want to do. Now you're sitting
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: there waiting on the car pool to come pick you up.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: They gonna pick you up, not a labor man. I
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: had a hard time getting up this morning. Man, I'm
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: glad but I'm here though. Whoa man, that's an excuse.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: What do you mean you're late? You had a hard
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: time getting up. I'm sitting up here waiting on you
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: to pick me up, and you come forty five minutes later.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: Now I'm late for work. See that excuse? That does
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: okay for I was sick this morning. I didn't fill
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: up to it. That excuse works wonderful for you, but
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: the person receiving the excuse gets nothing. You've got to
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: remove excuses from your vocabulary and your walk in life. See,
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: I don't really accept excuses from anybody in my camp.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: If you're an employee, you work for me. I don't
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: do excuses because I don't give none. Today, for example,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: I'm not feeling real well. You know, my signistystant kicked in.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: I had a troublesome now last night, I'm not feeling well.
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: But guess what, I came to work on the radio
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: today and I'll do these two shows I got to
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: do today because I NBC my heart. They don't care
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: up about my excuses. People who are looking for me
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: to wake him up in the morning, give him a laugh,
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: or give them a thoughts starter. They're not looking for
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: my excuses, they're just looking for the results. Excuses don't
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: do me no good. Now that's some days. All of
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: us are not up to part. We're not one, but
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't care about the excuses. I don't
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: accept excuses because I don't give excuses. The other thing
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I removed from my life is blame. And once you
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: blame another person, man, this is what happened with blame,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: blaming excuses. Listen to me. Finger pointing does nothing because
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you've heard old saying. Every time you point your finger
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: in the person, you notice that's three of them pointing
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: back at you. Once you're in the blame business and
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: the excuse business, you forfeit your chance for growth. I
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: give you an example. If you're always talking about is
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: somebody else's fault and you're always have an excuse why
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: something didn't get done or accomplished, guess what now you
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: can't grow. You can't grow, You can't fix it because
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: the reason why it didn't happen, or the reason why
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: you didn't accomplish it is because you blame someone else
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: and you have an excuse. Once you start accepting blame
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: and excuses, you forfeit your chance for growth. You kill
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: any chance for change. Sometimes all you have to do
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: as a person is searched within yourself and find out
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: what it is about you that you could change that
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: could start producing a better results. But if you always
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: blaming somebody else and providing it and accepting excuses for
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: yourself and other people, guess what you've done. You've killed
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: your chance for change. Sometimes you could be doing a
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: whole lot better in life if you would just change,
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: If you would search yourself and change something about you,
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: you would be doing so much better. If you just
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: search yourself, stop allowing excuses to be a part of
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: your makeup, and stop allowing blame to be a part
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: of it, and you would discover a lot of this
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: is just you. It could be you another thing to
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: blame an excuse it does. It allows you to fail favorably,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: you know, man, you can just get all right with failing.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: You can fail favorably because it ain't my fault and
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: I didn't do it because it was cold outside, so
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: till you allow yourself to fail favorably. That's an ugly
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: spot to be in. But blame and excuses allows you
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: to fail favorably. Like it's okay to fail because it
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: ain't my fault because I have an excuse. And if
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: they fall, blame and excuses man is a very very
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: dangerous thing out there. Also, blaming excuses promotes a climate
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: of failure. It just premiates man throughout your life. And
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: next thing, you know, you ain't accomplishing nothing because if blaming,
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: blame and excuses a part of your makeup, you now
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: have promoted a climate for failure. It's okay, it's okay
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: because I have a reason why why you didn't finish school,
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: because because it was too cold to go. Why you
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: didn't finish school because that test was too hard. I
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: didn't study them two pages. I thought they said the
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: first chapter, she questions us on the first three chapters.
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: I didn't hear that that's the only reason I failed.
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: And you get all right with it. When you're no
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: longer the reason why something happens. You no longer have
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: control over what happened. Let me say that to you
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: one more time. When you're no longer the reason why
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: something happens. You ain't gonna take responsibility. You're not the reason.
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: Stop allowing blame and excuses to end into your makeup.
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: They serve nobody any good, especially you. Those are my
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: clothing all right now, good day, have yourself a good week.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: You better clap for That's what the president does. That's
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: all I'm saying to yall. Have great week for all.
