Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:03Speaker 2: A new character that everybody seemed to love in Zutopia
- 0:06Speaker 2: two was Gary D. Snake, who is a pit fighter
- 0:09Speaker 2: one of the world's most poisonous snakes.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Yeah, not a creature you typically find adorable, but the
- 0:15Speaker 3: animators managed to make you instantly bond with him.
- 0:18Speaker 4: And it's all because of those puppy dog eyes of Gary's.
- 0:22Speaker 2: More accurately frog eyes. So the movie's production designer, Corey
- 0:26Speaker 2: Loftus tells Variety, they knew it would be an uphill
- 0:28Speaker 2: battle to get audiences to warm up to a deadly snake,
- 0:31Speaker 2: so they took a few liberties with serpent anatomy.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Yeah. The first thing they did was pull Gary's eyes
- 0:38Speaker 3: from the side of his head like a snake has,
- 0:40Speaker 3: to the front so you could lock eyes with him
- 0:43Speaker 3: like a person.
- 0:44Speaker 4: But that wasn't enough, so they made his eyes round
- 0:47Speaker 4: and his pupils to some degree. But they still wanted
- 0:49Speaker 4: them to be snake likes, so they made them long ovals.
- 0:52Speaker 3: The animators are wizards, I know, they really are, and
- 0:54Speaker 3: they even gave him eyelids, which snakes don't have, to
- 0:57Speaker 3: be more expressive and the result is a snake. Everybody
- 1:00Speaker 3: can love and.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Root for Zooto via Two's on vod
- 1:04Speaker 1: That's direct from Hollywood.
