- 0:13Speaker 1: move like amazing buck buck things. And it's not doing
- 0:19Speaker 1: me true good at Steve Hard listening to mother for
- 0:26Speaker 1: Steve Hard, please by, I don't join by joined me
- 0:50Speaker 1: to be doing me. You gotta use turning, then you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out, got to turn out,
- 1:45Speaker 1: then the water, the water. Come come on your back
- 1:59Speaker 1: at it? Huh. I show, well a good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'll do man, God is good. Hey today, I just
- 2:14Speaker 1: want to get right to it because this has really
- 2:16Speaker 1: been pressing me. I woke up and this was on
- 2:20Speaker 1: my mind and I wanted to share it with you
- 2:23Speaker 1: because I know this for a fact. See I've lived
- 2:28Speaker 1: this for a fact. And you know the majority of
- 2:33Speaker 1: things I talk about in the morning before we get
- 2:37Speaker 1: started with the regular show, it's something that I've experienced.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I can only tell you what I know. And so
- 2:44Speaker 1: I've really really understood why God has had my life
- 2:48Speaker 1: go the way that is gone, because if I didn't
- 2:52Speaker 1: have all these tests in my life, I didn't have
- 2:55Speaker 1: all these tests that I passed, all these tests that
- 2:58Speaker 1: I failed. If I didn't have all of those the
- 3:04Speaker 1: good and the bad, what could I share with you
- 3:08Speaker 1: in the morning? What could I tell you about hanging?
- 3:14Speaker 1: What could I tell you about failing and then winning?
- 3:17Speaker 1: What could I tell you about hanging in now when
- 3:21Speaker 1: all hope was gone? How could I share that with you?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Unless I've had those moments myself. I don't care what
- 3:30Speaker 1: happens to you. I don't care what you're going through.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Don't you dare dare give up? Under no circumstances. Don't
- 3:43Speaker 1: you dare dare ever give up? It is the biggest
- 3:49Speaker 1: trick that the enemy has is making us think we
- 3:55Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it, to water down the illusion that
- 4:01Speaker 1: there is a possibility that you might still have a
- 4:06Speaker 1: chance to get old. The biggest trick he uses is
- 4:10Speaker 1: when you make a mistake and you fall. He gets
- 4:13Speaker 1: you to start to thinking it's final, that there is
- 4:17Speaker 1: no resurrection, there is no redemption, there is no recovery.
- 4:22Speaker 1: He just makes you think it's final. He is the
- 4:25Speaker 1: master deceiver. Don't you dare dare ever give up? I
- 4:31Speaker 1: don't care, what besets you, befalls you, trips you up,
- 4:35Speaker 1: what circumstantial situations may arise. Don't you dare dare ever
- 4:41Speaker 1: give up? Because listen to me, these are tests that
- 4:46Speaker 1: you are going through. And these tests, whether you pass
- 4:51Speaker 1: the test or appears that you failed the test, the
- 4:55Speaker 1: test accomplishes the mission if you're smart about it. If
- 5:01Speaker 1: you pass the test. Let's say you're going through a
- 5:04Speaker 1: situation and you get over and it goes the way
- 5:07Speaker 1: you want it to do, then what you've learned is
- 5:11Speaker 1: if you hang in there, there's a light at the
- 5:15Speaker 1: end of the tunnel. Okay, mission accomplished. If you fail
- 5:20Speaker 1: the test and it doesn't go the way you want
- 5:23Speaker 1: it and it goes there opposite and it turns out
- 5:27Speaker 1: into a negative result, and in response you were looking
- 5:30Speaker 1: for is a no. That's not final. That doesn't mean
- 5:37Speaker 1: it's over, that doesn't mean it's time to turn back.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It simply means that now you have learned a valuable experience,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you have learned a valuable lesson. You now know what
- 5:53Speaker 1: not to do. You are now because you know what
- 5:57Speaker 1: not to do, another step closer to getting it right.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Listen to me, it has to happen this way. You
- 6:07Speaker 1: have to have the rain in your life to get
- 6:11Speaker 1: the flowers in your life. You got to have the
- 6:14Speaker 1: darkness in your life to appreciate the sunshine in your life.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You got to have woes and worries to appreciate the joys.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It is merely a test. So when you get through failing,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and you get through stumbling, and you get through messing
- 6:37Speaker 1: it up, all that's getting you one step closer to
- 6:41Speaker 1: getting it right. Oh, my relationship ended. I'll never be
- 6:46Speaker 1: able to find another person like that. Not only will
- 6:49Speaker 1: you not be able will not only will you be
- 6:51Speaker 1: able to find a person like that, you can find
- 6:55Speaker 1: a person that far better than that if you don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: give up. But see, sometimes you got to go through
- 7:04Speaker 1: the bad ones to get to the good ones. Don't
- 7:08Speaker 1: you dare dare ever give up? I don't care what
- 7:11Speaker 1: happens to you if you lose a love one. And
- 7:14Speaker 1: Lord knows, I've lost some people I've loved dearly with
- 7:20Speaker 1: every inch in me. I've lost my mother, my father,
- 7:26Speaker 1: my brother, and my best friend. I don't know. I
- 7:30Speaker 1: know people who have lost their children. Goodness, man, I
- 7:35Speaker 1: can't even imagine that, But they kept on going what
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're giving up for. Oh, I got you miss them,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and I got you grieving, but I got news for you.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Don't you let the devil make you think it's over
- 7:50Speaker 1: for you because somebody else ain't. Still hell, it was
- 7:53Speaker 1: their time. Now. I'm not trying to lessen to blow
- 7:56Speaker 1: for you, but I'm trying to get you up on
- 7:58Speaker 1: your feet so you can stop all this old woe
- 8:01Speaker 1: is me because the things is happening to you. You're
- 8:04Speaker 1: not the first person that's happened to Come on, now,
- 8:06Speaker 1: let's get a grip. Let's wrap your mind around this thing.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You have got to move forward, if it's just in
- 8:13Speaker 1: memory of those people. I was on one of the
- 8:16Speaker 1: commercial breaks on Family Feud the other day and somebody
- 8:18Speaker 1: asked me something and I forgot the question, but my
- 8:22Speaker 1: answer was, I always wanted my mother and father to
- 8:25Speaker 1: be proud of me, and in that absence and their demise,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I'm hoping, just somehow man, that they watching me, that
- 8:35Speaker 1: they see their boy, that I'm down here, that I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: doing better, that I'm making something about myself, that I'm
- 8:43Speaker 1: loving my wife, that I'm taking care of my kids.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It's at my old man to see that about me.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You know, I want my mother to see I'm trying
- 8:51Speaker 1: to give my life together over here, you know, saying
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to be a better person. My mom was
- 8:56Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher for forty years. She'd been praying
- 8:59Speaker 1: for me for a long time. I just hope, man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and that's all I'm doing. It's just hoping that they
- 9:06Speaker 1: see me so they can't be proud of me. See you, you, you,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you you. You got to understand that when you make
- 9:14Speaker 1: these mistakes, that when you fall and stumble and you
- 9:17Speaker 1: get it all so wrong, it ain't over for you.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Don't you dare dare dare ever give up? Don't stop thinking, man,
- 9:26Speaker 1: because it ain't happening just the way you wanted to that.
- 9:29Speaker 1: It ain't meant to be devil. He got so many
- 9:31Speaker 1: tricks to deceive you. You know why you're being tested
- 9:35Speaker 1: right now, because there is no testimony without the test.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You got to go through something. It's all good man
- 9:45Speaker 1: telling you. I just wanted to share that with you.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Don't you give up out there. I don't care what's happening.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Don't don't, don't don't get deceived. The victory's coming, but
- 9:53Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get it if you quit. Hang on, y'all,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening, ladies, gentlemen, let me have your attention, please,

- 13:40Speaker 1: gonna talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 13:45Speaker 1: show Well today, as we mentioned earlier, we're celebrating Jay
- 13:50Speaker 1: Anthony Brown. Jay. We're so proud of you. You've completed,
- 13:55Speaker 1: you know, your rounds of chemo right six, six to
- 13:59Speaker 1: seven months, chemo solid week each week, three weeks off
- 14:04Speaker 1: and then back on chemo. It is. I would not
- 14:07Speaker 1: wish this on nobody. It is. It is unbelievable. Man.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I've never been that sick in my life. But uh,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I kept coming to work. Yea, your brand, kept doing
- 14:21Speaker 1: what I had to do. There was some low days,
- 14:23Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, there was some very some very low.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I didn't see him. Your spirit was every time I
- 14:28Speaker 1: saw you. Yeah, but he would tell you today was
- 14:32Speaker 1: not a good day. He would say that, yeah. Yeah.
- 14:36Speaker 1: But you know what jatas, if you get any kind
- 14:41Speaker 1: of ailment, any kind of sickness, do not and I
- 14:45Speaker 1: repeat this, do not speak. She surely strawberry. Okay, you
- 14:52Speaker 1: should have asked anybody on the show. Tell everybody what
- 14:56Speaker 1: she did. Okay, So she called me, congratulations, you don't
- 15:01Speaker 1: have to go to Keymoor anymore. I said, yeah, that's good.
- 15:04Speaker 1: She said, you're free from cancer, right unless it come back?
- 15:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, pretty much, that's pretty right. But that was
- 15:13Speaker 1: my second one, Steve. The first one she told me
- 15:16Speaker 1: was you have the same type of cancer my uncle heads,
- 15:20Speaker 1: my grandfa, my grandfather. I said, Oh, how did he do?
- 15:24Speaker 1: He died? Like, Okay, that I need to Jay? Was
- 15:33Speaker 1: that not praying for you all the time? Check up
- 15:37Speaker 1: all the time, but tell you I love you. Just
- 15:42Speaker 1: don't dir And as soon as it comes out, I'm like,
- 15:46Speaker 1: oh I didn't need it like that. So you're healing
- 15:50Speaker 1: to it comes back right pretty much? Yea, until it
- 15:53Speaker 1: comes back. Oh God forgive me. I really means when
- 16:05Speaker 1: it comes to this stuff, I'm just not good. I'm
- 16:08Speaker 1: gonna stop talking like. Steve has no bedside manner, so
- 16:11Speaker 1: he ain't gonna call you, ain't gonna na I ain't
- 16:15Speaker 1: got respect, he got nothing for you, nothing, But at
- 16:18Speaker 1: least he knows he don't know what to say, so
- 16:20Speaker 1: he does he will turning the call and just say
- 16:25Speaker 1: the wrong damn so wrong. Oh Jay, can ask you
- 16:31Speaker 1: a question? Yes you can, Yes you can. How did
- 16:36Speaker 1: you make it through the tough days? Um comedy? I
- 16:39Speaker 1: really surround, I really started listening to I listened to
- 16:42Speaker 1: a lot of comedy channels, writing for the show, doing
- 16:46Speaker 1: the show, a lot of comedy. I tried to, like,
- 16:49Speaker 1: you know, I was watching I was a CNN and
- 16:51Speaker 1: watching the news got twenty four to seven, and so
- 16:54Speaker 1: I said, well, I'm just gonna listen to the news
- 16:56Speaker 1: maybe an hour, two hours and cut a lot of
- 16:59Speaker 1: negative stuff out, just cut it out as much as
- 17:02Speaker 1: I possibly could. But like I said, the days I
- 17:05Speaker 1: was down, you know, you couldn't. I wasn't a nice guy.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I didn't want to be bothered, you know. But that's
- 17:10Speaker 1: that's pretty much anybody that But Jay, Jay, I'm gonna
- 17:14Speaker 1: tell you something, though, Man, I gotta pay you accompliment.
- 17:17Speaker 1: When you having bad days and you sick, you're seeing
- 17:20Speaker 1: in some good ass jokes. Man, Your jokes be good
- 17:24Speaker 1: when you sick. Man. Man, that's the second man said
- 17:32Speaker 1: Steve said. When he saw me, because I had lost
- 17:34Speaker 1: a lot of weight, he said, damn, he said, damn,
- 17:38Speaker 1: kee wonna look good on you. Man. But see I
- 17:47Speaker 1: say mine on purpose. I know what I'm saying. I'm
- 17:52Speaker 1: but the keemo he lost. Jay lost a lot of
- 17:56Speaker 1: unnecessary weight. Yeah, you're like Ganda. I really was, Jay,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you look like you did when I first met you.
- 18:07Speaker 1: What Yeah, that fact when he was making clothes. Now, seriously, man,
- 18:11Speaker 1: that's why I felt good about it. Yeah. But Jay,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you're you're a man, You're an amazing testament. Yeah. Well,
- 18:19Speaker 1: it's anybody who's going through this, and not only not
- 18:23Speaker 1: only the person who's dealing with chemo or dealing with cancer,
- 18:26Speaker 1: it's family members and people who are surrounding them for
- 18:29Speaker 1: the support that they get. That those are some of
- 18:31Speaker 1: the main people too that help you out and help
- 18:33Speaker 1: you get the things. Because if you're going through chemo
- 18:36Speaker 1: and you're dealing with cancer or whatever, your family deals
- 18:39Speaker 1: with it too. It affects them emotional disease. Yeah, it is. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 1: you just don't go through this by yourself. You know,
- 18:46Speaker 1: what do you do now? So you watching a lot
- 18:49Speaker 1: of news? At first, I was watching a lot of news.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I cut I cut of it. I cut a lot
- 18:53Speaker 1: of it out, and just like I was wondering, if
- 18:57Speaker 1: Trump upsets your cancer, That's what I was wanting. Yeah, No,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm good now. But but so what's the
- 19:07Speaker 1: part of the journey now, Jay? I mean, what do
- 19:09Speaker 1: you do now. I think now it's just to eat
- 19:12Speaker 1: right and you know and and and uh, you know, maintain.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You got to constantly get checked out for it. And
- 19:18Speaker 1: I've changed the way I eat, a change the way
- 19:20Speaker 1: I look at things, and just just change your life, Chemo.
- 19:23Speaker 1: If you go through cancer and it doesn't affect your
- 19:25Speaker 1: life and it doesn't changes, there's really something wrong with you,
- 19:29Speaker 1: because like you, like she said, you good till they
- 19:31Speaker 1: come back. Right, So say this to you, Jay, you
- 19:40Speaker 1: you let everybody be ourselves who we are and how
- 19:44Speaker 1: we talk to you and how we you know, deal
- 19:46Speaker 1: with you. We didn't change in you. Just what that was.
- 19:50Speaker 1: That was good. That was definitely a decision that I
- 19:53Speaker 1: made that I said, well, do I tell my workers
- 19:55Speaker 1: about it? And you would have to know something wrong
- 19:57Speaker 1: with me if I started losing all this weight around,
- 20:00Speaker 1: is it? So? Yeah, you guys, one of us individually,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you know, I respected that, you know. But my kids
- 20:08Speaker 1: when I told them, they said, we thought you were
- 20:10Speaker 1: saying you were going to get married again. I said,
- 20:12Speaker 1: new marriage, all right, Jay, Well, we're so happy you're
- 20:23Speaker 1: on the mend and we love you so much. And
- 20:28Speaker 1: that's all I'm gonna say. That's all coming up next.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It is a nephew would run that prank back right
- 20:36Speaker 1: after this. You're listening too. Coming up at the top
- 20:42Speaker 1: of the hour and entertainment news Gabrielle Union takes down
- 20:46Speaker 1: a social media troll. But right now it's time for
- 20:49Speaker 1: the nephew to run that prank back. What you got neugh,
- 20:52Speaker 1: my daddy boat, My daddy boat. Let's go, kid dog
- 20:58Speaker 1: my daddy boat. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach a
- 21:02Speaker 1: mister Wilson place. Mister Wilson, how are you today? Who
- 21:08Speaker 1: is it? My name is Williams. Well, listen, we've been
- 21:13Speaker 1: getting a few complaints are about some things on your
- 21:17Speaker 1: property there? All right, Well, who are you with? Uh,
- 21:20Speaker 1: actually I'm with the homeowners Association. Wanted to reach out
- 21:23Speaker 1: and give you a call today. Oh well, how are
- 21:26Speaker 1: you doing? Pretty good? Listen. Um, got a few things
- 21:30Speaker 1: I kind of want to discuss with you here that
- 21:32Speaker 1: seemed to be a problem that's taken place in the
- 21:36Speaker 1: neighborhood there. Um, it's been brought to our attention down
- 21:40Speaker 1: here at headquarters that you have a few things on
- 21:43Speaker 1: your property that are are not functioning that really shouldn't
- 21:46Speaker 1: be on the property. Uh, you have two cars supposedly
- 21:50Speaker 1: in your driveway that are not being used, been sitting
- 21:52Speaker 1: there for quite some time. Well, yeah, well one of
- 21:54Speaker 1: them I'm currently working on. I'm almost I should have
- 21:57Speaker 1: a repair. I'm just waiting on getting we can get
- 22:00Speaker 1: a little extra money to get it take care of.
- 22:01Speaker 1: The other car is just function it. I just don't drive.
- 22:03Speaker 1: But I have more than one car. Okay. Now you
- 22:07Speaker 1: you also have a camper that seems to be has
- 22:11Speaker 1: been there for at least eight months now, that's that's
- 22:14Speaker 1: sitting there. Is that correct as well? Yeah? Yeah, I'm
- 22:18Speaker 1: I'm working on getting some storage for that, but it
- 22:21Speaker 1: ain't really been there eight months, just maybe around about
- 22:23Speaker 1: six seven eight months. And uh, you know, I'm looking
- 22:28Speaker 1: at our past records and stuff. It seems like there
- 22:30Speaker 1: was a complaint before about the you know, keeping the yard,
- 22:35Speaker 1: uh pretty cutting all of that kind of stuff. And
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'm just looking at past complaints that I have here.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Now the biggest one that I have that that's concerning
- 22:43Speaker 1: your property, sir, is uh, supposedly in your backyard. Now
- 22:48Speaker 1: there's a you have an old boat that's in your backyard. Yeah, yeah,
- 22:53Speaker 1: but I don't see that. Both bothered nobody. Well, well,
- 22:57Speaker 1: I mean it's it's it's kind of a sore eye

- 33:01Speaker 1: who died early yesterday morning. House Majority leader Stanny Hoyer
- 33:04Speaker 1: announced his death on the House floor. We have lost
- 33:08Speaker 1: a great American, a decent American, a wonderful member of
- 33:13Speaker 1: this body, Elijah Cummings. How Speaker Nancy Pelosi cause Cummings
- 33:17Speaker 1: the north Star of the Lower Chamber and the voice
- 33:20Speaker 1: of unsurpassed moral clarity and truth. President Trump tweeted my
- 33:23Speaker 1: warmest condolences to the family and many friends of Congressman
- 33:27Speaker 1: Elijah Cummings. I got to see firsthand the strength, passion,
- 33:30Speaker 1: and wisdom of this highly respected political leader, President Trump.
- 33:33Speaker 1: According to the Associated Press, New York City Congresswoman Carol
- 33:36Speaker 1: and Maloney will now assume the leadership of the House
- 33:39Speaker 1: Oversight and Reform Committee. That's the panel chaired by the
- 33:42Speaker 1: late Elijah Cummings until Democrats to the permanent chairperson. President Trump, meanwhile,
- 33:47Speaker 1: is taken credit for Vice President Pence's announcement yesterday of
- 33:50Speaker 1: a five day Turkish military ceasefire in northern Syria. The
- 33:53Speaker 1: United States and Turkey have agreed to a ceasefire in Syria.
- 33:57Speaker 1: The Turkish side will pause Operation peace Spring in order

- 34:23Speaker 1: I just want to thank and congratulate though President Ernawan.
- 34:27Speaker 1: He's a friend of mine, and I'm glad we didn't

- 34:33Speaker 1: and he's a tough man. He's a strong man, and
- 34:36Speaker 1: he did the right thing, and I really appreciate it,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and I will appreciate it in the future. Trump also
- 34:40Speaker 1: claims that the Curs are incredibly happy with the solution.
- 34:43Speaker 1: They were attacked by the Curas after Trump pulled US
- 34:45Speaker 1: troops out. You know, a black man who was forced
- 34:47Speaker 1: to leave a DoubleTree hotel in Portland, Oregon, last December,
- 34:51Speaker 1: is suing for several million dollars. Jermaine Massey, who works
- 34:54Speaker 1: for Microsoft, says he was in a lobby of that
- 34:57Speaker 1: hotel late one night. He was talking to his mother
- 34:59Speaker 1: on his cell phone. He was in Baltimore, so there
- 35:01Speaker 1: was a difference in time. So a white security guard
- 35:03Speaker 1: approached him and asked him if he was staying at
- 35:05Speaker 1: the hotel. He showed him his room key, but the
- 35:08Speaker 1: guard insisted he was loitering, that he was a security
- 35:11Speaker 1: threat and would be arrested. Then the manager calls the cops,
- 35:15Speaker 1: who accompanies Missa Massey to his room, so he was
- 35:17Speaker 1: obviously staying there. They accompanied him to his room, made
- 35:20Speaker 1: him pack, and escorted him out the security guarden. A
- 35:24Speaker 1: manager have since been fired, but he's sue in DoubleTree.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Here's one. As President Trump accuses Joe Biden's family of
- 35:29Speaker 1: supposedly profiting from public office, the White House says it's
- 35:32Speaker 1: chosen Trump's Miami golf resort to be decided next year's
- 35:35Speaker 1: Group of Seven or G seven summit, building on an
- 35:38Speaker 1: apparent effort to a counter criticism, though Trump's a facility
- 35:42Speaker 1: won't profit from the event, according to Acting White House
- 35:44Speaker 1: Chief of Staff Nick Mulbahaney. Finally, today is National Love
- 35:47Speaker 1: your Hair Day. Baby. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 35:51Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to the show. US Representative Elijah Cummings,
- 35:58Speaker 1: one of the most influential Democrats in Congress and a

- 36:07Speaker 1: so sadly passed away yesterday at the age of sixty eight.
- 36:12Speaker 1: The cause of sixty eight years old, Steve Yeah, so sad.

- 36:22Speaker 1: was sixty eight, yeah, sixty eight, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 36:30Speaker 1: The cause of death was complications concerning longstanding health challenges.
- 36:35Speaker 1: His office set in a statement he was the son
- 36:38Speaker 1: of sharecroppers who rose to leave the powerful House Oversight
- 36:42Speaker 1: and Reform Committee. Representative Cummings clashed with President Trump over
- 36:47Speaker 1: multiple probes involving the Republican president, from his personal finances
- 36:51Speaker 1: to possible abuses of at federal agencies. Fellow Democrats recognize
- 36:56Speaker 1: mister cummings commitment to fairness, civil rights, and to his
- 37:00Speaker 1: hometown Baltimore. Uh, we we've lost a giant US House
- 37:05Speaker 1: majority whip, James Clyborne said. President Trump sent his condolences
- 37:09Speaker 1: to uh, friends of friends and family of Congressmen Elijah Cummings.
- 37:14Speaker 1: And the thing about him, Steve, was that people liked him.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Republicans liked him, Democrats liked him. He was one of
- 37:21Speaker 1: those politicians that everybody liked. And he was friends with them,
- 37:24Speaker 1: I mean true friends with them. They respected him and
- 37:28Speaker 1: loved him, even if they disagreed with him. Yeah yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 1: right right, they could have agreed to disagree. Who truly
- 37:35Speaker 1: be missed. I'm just waiting for Trump to say something
- 37:38Speaker 1: ignorant and he hasn't enough not only has well, at
- 37:42Speaker 1: least he had a good sense to send condolences to um,
- 37:47Speaker 1: you know, his family. Somebody did that for him to
- 37:52Speaker 1: do that. Very very sad, very sad. Footsoldier gone. Definitely
- 38:03Speaker 1: civil rights um, you know, leader and everything. Yeah, and
- 38:08Speaker 1: you were surprised that it is ste Yeah, he stood up.

- 38:24Speaker 1: because this president, this leader we have. We got to vote.
- 38:29Speaker 1: It's just it's just alarming. But we've got to get
- 38:32Speaker 1: out and vote because it's just alarming. Uh, the way
- 38:37Speaker 1: he is as a president and just and coming from
- 38:40Speaker 1: that office, it just it just seems unbelievable. And the
- 38:44Speaker 1: fact that they're allowing it is just it is ridiculous. Yeah. Yeah,

- 44:55Speaker 1: a call. It seems that a lot of them are
- 45:00Speaker 1: complaining about Sunday services that go on and wanted for
- 45:05Speaker 1: me to give you a call on their behalf so
- 45:07Speaker 1: that we can see if we can address the problem
- 45:09Speaker 1: and talk to you diligently as possible and try to
- 45:12Speaker 1: get the problem rectified. What's going on, Well, it seems
- 45:17Speaker 1: like that a lot of members are complaining. I'm sorry,
- 45:22Speaker 1: and what is your name again? My name is Man.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'm not actually a member of the church. I've just
- 45:28Speaker 1: been the one that they've been asked to give you
- 45:30Speaker 1: a call and try to talk on the members behalf,
- 45:32Speaker 1: so maybe we can get this problem rectify that you
- 45:36Speaker 1: that they have as far as you are concerned, now, okay,
- 45:39Speaker 1: go ahead, I'm just trying to see what this is
- 45:41Speaker 1: in regards to go ahead. Well, it seems like the
- 45:44Speaker 1: members of the church are complaining about that you're doing
- 45:47Speaker 1: too much shouting at church on Sunday, and it seems
- 45:52Speaker 1: to be going on every Sunday. You're running up and
- 45:54Speaker 1: down the aisle and you're shouting all over the place,
- 45:56Speaker 1: and me, I've been singled out about my shouting. Is
- 46:01Speaker 1: that what you're saying? Well, ever, Dindy is distracting. Man,
- 46:04Speaker 1: you're distracting everyone from getting the word and listen to
- 46:07Speaker 1: the word and being involved in the service. And that's
- 46:10Speaker 1: the purpose of the call, that's to see if we
- 46:12Speaker 1: can get you to tone it down some. Okay, So
- 46:14Speaker 1: the whole church is complaining about me shouting the way
- 46:17Speaker 1: people run up and down them off every Sunday and
- 46:20Speaker 1: almost playing cart wheels and flips, and they're singling me.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I complained about me. Well, ma'am, I don't know how
- 46:27Speaker 1: it is that you can see everybody else doing cart
- 46:29Speaker 1: wheels when you're the ones that they say is the
- 46:31Speaker 1: one that's doing them. You don't how am I being
- 46:33Speaker 1: singled out? Man? All I'm saying is that they're saying
- 46:36Speaker 1: that you're doing too much shouting and too much running
- 46:39Speaker 1: at this church. Now, I'm just the message. Say what.
- 46:42Speaker 1: They can't tell me how to shout? They don't they
- 46:44Speaker 1: can't tell me what's going on in my life? What's
- 46:46Speaker 1: gonna keep me from praising God? And they, I mean,
- 46:49Speaker 1: they could just they could go somewhere else with that,
- 46:51Speaker 1: but they're not gonna tell me that I can't praise
- 46:53Speaker 1: my God. They don't know how good God it's being
- 46:56Speaker 1: to me, and you know what, I understand that I
- 46:58Speaker 1: agree with you wholeheartedly, but it's becoming a distraction. I mean,
- 47:02Speaker 1: they was at the point last night talking about should
- 47:05Speaker 1: we put some seatbelts on the pews so so you
- 47:07Speaker 1: can stay down. We started to put some seat but
- 47:10Speaker 1: high they gonna tell people they can't shout in church
- 47:12Speaker 1: and brace God. What do we call the church for? Well,
- 47:15Speaker 1: you do come to we need to be trying to
- 47:17Speaker 1: place God and get they all shout on and stop
- 47:19Speaker 1: looking at me and about what I'm doing. Were gonna
- 47:21Speaker 1: need you to quit running up and down these aisles
- 47:24Speaker 1: and doing what you go. I'm sorry, you know, I'm
- 47:26Speaker 1: trying to stay calm. I'm trying my best. Who Jesus
- 47:31Speaker 1: chief sir that that's not happy? You can't tell me
- 47:33Speaker 1: I gotta stop shouting. Okay, man, But let me ask you.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Are you running now? Aren't you just standing still talking?
- 47:39Speaker 1: Because I don't have to run right now? Okay, what
- 47:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you to do. If I want
- 47:44Speaker 1: to run up and down this street right now, I
- 47:45Speaker 1: can run up and down the street and place God.
- 47:47Speaker 1: But they're not gonna tell me to stop shouting at church.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Can we get you to be a little bit more
- 47:51Speaker 1: reserved as what we see. Man, let me let me
- 47:54Speaker 1: go ahead and go further on what they do. The
- 47:57Speaker 1: spirit moves. Okay, well, let me move and hear you
- 48:00Speaker 1: what they've told me. Now, if we can't get to
- 48:04Speaker 1: the point where you can, you know, tone it down,
- 48:06Speaker 1: then we may have to ask you to leave. I
- 48:09Speaker 1: want them ask me, Jesus, O, Jesus, Jesus. You let
- 48:15Speaker 1: them ask me. Why don't they want me to leave
- 48:17Speaker 1: the church. I've been at that church for sixteen years.
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm not leaving the church. I'm gonna run up and down.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna run on the church. I ain't even
- 48:25Speaker 1: turn me some flip where I feel like it not
- 48:28Speaker 1: not no, no, listen, that's all. I'm okay, go ahead,
- 48:32Speaker 1: but I'm gonna be there. I'm going to I am
- 48:35Speaker 1: going to be there on Sunday. Man, and I have
- 48:37Speaker 1: been the person that's been appointed to make sure that
- 48:40Speaker 1: you're not running up and down these eyes and shotting
- 48:42Speaker 1: like this. You got to keep yourself reserved so people
- 48:45Speaker 1: can hear the word of God. You are standing in
- 48:47Speaker 1: people's word. That's what you're doing. You're in the whale.
- 48:50Speaker 1: If they come trying to send me down, I'm gonna
- 48:52Speaker 1: get them a word and it ain't gonna be a god.
- 48:54Speaker 1: Let you put that hands upon me here now, listen,
- 48:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to hear that. Now you get that I
- 48:59Speaker 1: haven't in that church fifteen years. If I want to run, dance, shout, jump, quitting,
- 49:04Speaker 1: whatever I want to do, I'm gonna do it. It It
- 49:06Speaker 1: ain't nobody gonna stop me. You're gonna have to stop this.
- 49:09Speaker 1: This past Sunday was your last Sunday doing it, and
- 49:12Speaker 1: you're not gonna do it this Sunday. Like I said,
- 49:14Speaker 1: just why let and I'm telling you could tell the unsues,
- 49:17Speaker 1: the deacon boyd, the deacon as the minister's wives or
- 49:20Speaker 1: wholly asks you want to tell, let him put their
- 49:22Speaker 1: hands on me and see if I don't swing on them.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna come run about the spirit and swing on it.
- 49:26Speaker 1: I'm telling you that now because he said, you didn't
- 49:28Speaker 1: really push me that out and tried. I tried. Let
- 49:31Speaker 1: me ask you this here where you're trying to show
- 49:34Speaker 1: that I'm saved and never but you make it you
- 49:36Speaker 1: if you're making me revert back to my own ways,
- 49:38Speaker 1: and you you really for me off. That's what you're
- 49:40Speaker 1: gonna do. Okay, well, let me ask you this, Why
- 49:42Speaker 1: is the god at right now? And you where's the
- 49:45Speaker 1: one that say? Yeah? It was? The God was in
- 49:48Speaker 1: me when I was trying to be cool with you
- 49:49Speaker 1: at first to tell you don't be calling me with
- 49:51Speaker 1: this foolishness. But now you'n make the other side of
- 49:54Speaker 1: me roll. He's up. Well, you wouldn't raise it up
- 49:56Speaker 1: in now. You wouldn't raise it up in me too.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Guess what come Sunday, You're gonna se you in that
- 50:00Speaker 1: pew and you ain't gonna you know when you call
- 50:03Speaker 1: yourself as the pew. Okay, all right, all right, we're
- 50:09Speaker 1: gonna see how well I'm setting that pep matter of fact,
- 50:11Speaker 1: first thing sid the morning, I'm going the past. Oh yeah, well,
- 50:14Speaker 1: Deacon whoever you are, whatever your name is, I'm gonna
- 50:18Speaker 1: talking about it, y'all. How long you need to lose?
- 50:21Speaker 1: I would be talking to Pastor myself and letting him
- 50:24Speaker 1: know about this situation. You don't talk, You don't we
- 50:27Speaker 1: can call pass right around. We're just passing on pay right.
- 50:30Speaker 1: You don't talk to pastor. I talk to pastor. I'm

- 53:44Speaker 1: it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry Letter. I
- 53:48Speaker 1: love this title, My Little Ugly Boyfriend. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I'm a thirty one year old single woman and I
- 53:55Speaker 1: met the man of my dreams two years ago on
- 53:57Speaker 1: a dating website. He lives in tim and I live
- 54:01Speaker 1: in Philadelphia. A few months after we met online, he
- 54:04Speaker 1: came to visit me. I immediately noticed that he lied
- 54:07Speaker 1: about his height. He's short. He is an inch or
- 54:10Speaker 1: two shorter than me, and I like tall men. I
- 54:14Speaker 1: had hoped he looked a little better than his pictures online,
- 54:17Speaker 1: but he looks exactly the same in person. He's not
- 54:21Speaker 1: handsome at all. I overlooked his height and the fact
- 54:25Speaker 1: that he's not cute because we have a lot in common.
- 54:28Speaker 1: He's a hard worker and a great single father. He
- 54:31Speaker 1: is very kind, and he loves the Lord. All of
- 54:35Speaker 1: those things make up for the fact that he is
- 54:38Speaker 1: not exactly my type. He's been back to visit me
- 54:41Speaker 1: every other month, and I have been to his home
- 54:43Speaker 1: in Tampa. I met his family and they are all
- 54:46Speaker 1: supportive of our relationship. So here's my dilemma. I have
- 54:51Speaker 1: met his family, but he still has not met mine.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I've been making excuses whenever he asked to meet them,
- 54:57Speaker 1: and I made him think they're all weird and crazy.
- 55:01Speaker 1: But the truth is they are very judgmental and they
- 55:05Speaker 1: will talk about his looks and his height. My mom's
- 55:08Speaker 1: facial expressions are priceless, and I know she won't be
- 55:11Speaker 1: able to hide her reaction if she meets him. I
- 55:14Speaker 1: have told my family about him and how good we
- 55:17Speaker 1: are together, and they already make jokes about me and
- 55:20Speaker 1: my little ugly boyfriend. They may be right, So I
- 55:24Speaker 1: need your advice. Should I be proud of this good
- 55:27Speaker 1: man even if he is ugly and short, or should
- 55:29Speaker 1: I call it quits now and stop wasting my time
- 55:33Speaker 1: in this relationship? Well, I don't see how you call
- 55:37Speaker 1: yourself wasting your time. I mean, you've been with him
- 55:40Speaker 1: for two years. You said that you guys have a
- 55:42Speaker 1: lot in common. Maybe he's not exactly your type, but
- 55:46Speaker 1: he's very kind, he loves a lord, he's a great
- 55:48Speaker 1: single father, he's a hard worker. He has so many
- 55:51Speaker 1: qualities that you like. You've met his family, they're all supportive.
- 55:56Speaker 1: This sounds like a nice good man to me. I mean,
- 55:59Speaker 1: and he's with you, he's not with your family. If
- 56:02Speaker 1: you guys continue this and get married, he's marrying you,
- 56:05Speaker 1: not your family. You said he's the man of your dreams.
- 56:09Speaker 1: That's what you said. I mean, you guys have been
- 56:12Speaker 1: together for two years already, and you know about his height.
- 56:17Speaker 1: You're no different, you know from any other women. Women.
- 56:20Speaker 1: All the women I know just about like tall men.
- 56:23Speaker 1: A lot of men like tall women, so that's nothing unusual.
- 56:27Speaker 1: But he is one or two inches shorter than you,
- 56:31Speaker 1: and he's not handsome at all. Those are facts. You
- 56:34Speaker 1: put those in the letter. But even with all that,
- 56:36Speaker 1: you're still with him and meeting his family. You're visiting
- 56:41Speaker 1: each other's homes long distance and stuff. You've met his family.
- 56:44Speaker 1: This sounds pretty serious to me. You're just scared for
- 56:47Speaker 1: him to meet your family because you don't know how
- 56:49Speaker 1: they're going to react to him, if they're, you know,
- 56:53Speaker 1: going to make him feel some sort of way. Listen,
- 56:56Speaker 1: if you like this man and you want to be
- 56:58Speaker 1: with this man, this is your man, and I mean
- 57:01Speaker 1: your your family, So what are they gonna say it
- 57:04Speaker 1: to his face? So what if they don't like him? Um,
- 57:07Speaker 1: you like him and he treats you well and you
- 57:09Speaker 1: seem happy, you've been with him for two years. Uh,
- 57:12Speaker 1: don't let your family, you know, make you miss out
- 57:15Speaker 1: on a good man. That's what I say. Steve Well
- 57:21Speaker 1: unattractive and short. Yeah, I must admit I thought the
- 57:29Speaker 1: letter was about somebody else. You know, who the hell
- 57:40Speaker 1: he talking about? A rock? The hell with that? Y'all
- 57:49Speaker 1: know who you're talking about? Sicking and rock and then
- 57:55Speaker 1: we didn't hit this dog too many day time. Y'all
- 57:56Speaker 1: know what we're talking about. The only thing in this
- 57:59Speaker 1: letter through it all. He lives in Tampa and I
- 58:04Speaker 1: live it up to that, and thereafter I was sending
- 58:12Speaker 1: him man, I couldn't haul it, squallow, you're not laughing,
- 58:18Speaker 1: team tell me. A few months ago we met online,
- 58:22Speaker 1: came to visit me. I immediately noticed that he lied
- 58:25Speaker 1: about his height. Hello, Hello, Hello, How many times he
- 58:35Speaker 1: lied about his wareated against a few months after we
- 58:40Speaker 1: met online, he came to visit me. I immediately noticed
- 58:44Speaker 1: that he lied about his height. He shot good, Lord
- 58:48Speaker 1: of Mighty. He is an interest, too shot than me,
- 58:52Speaker 1: and I like tall men. Hen he do too prod.
- 58:59Speaker 1: I'd hoped he looked a little bit better than his
- 59:01Speaker 1: picture on lad but he looked exactly like the same person.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Like y'all ain't telling me why overlooked his fight. I
- 59:16Speaker 1: overlooked his height and the fact that he ain't cutecause
- 59:19Speaker 1: we got a lot incoming, hard work, great single father,
- 59:24Speaker 1: he's very kind, he loves your Lord. All these things
- 59:29Speaker 1: make up for the fact that he's not my type.
- 59:33Speaker 1: He's been back to visit me every other month, I've
- 59:36Speaker 1: been to his home in Tampa. I met his family.
- 59:38Speaker 1: They're all supportive of the relationship. Here's the dilemma she got. Now,
- 59:42Speaker 1: she'd have met his family, but he ain't met head.
- 59:46Speaker 1: She'd been making all types of excuses why they don't
- 59:48Speaker 1: need to meet him, because the truth is the family
- 59:52Speaker 1: that she in his judgmental. They're gonna talk about his
- 59:54Speaker 1: looks and his height. Hold that thought, Steve, Hold that thought.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Look up one day and this boy be on TV somewhere.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: We'll have part two of seas Response coming up in
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour, subject my little ugly boyfriend.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening, Steve Harvey
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Strawberry letters. Subject my little ugly boyfriend. Boy, I'm going
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: to the bathroom. No, I'm going to the bathroom. And
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: time to go together? Women? Do we need from this case?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: We need to leave. We don't need to hear this.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: We don't need that. Ain't a good look. Fellas, don't
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: go together. This lady's been met this man online. They've
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: actually been dating now for two years. She'd have met
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: his family too. Went down to temple. He ain't met hers.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: He comes by, it comes up there every other moment.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: He's god fearing, hard working, he's a wonderful single parent,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: saying all the right things. I ain't heard nobody mentioned
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: love in this, but I'm assuming, you know, it's got
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: to be some feelings. Hill. The problem she got is
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: he's a little shorter than he promised, and he's ugly.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: So I think we're getting need to get down to this.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: When you say, my little ugly boyfriend, how ugly were
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: talking about? See, this is what we gotta get into.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: It's my little ugly boyfield. Are you saying he all ugly?
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Is he shockingly ugly? She would have said that? Is
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: he good? Lord? Ugly? I mean lord, U is he?
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I'll be damned ugly? Is he? Is he that type ugly?
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Is he just sound effect? Ugly? Sound effect? Ugly is
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: different kind of ugly. It's like when you see him
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: and you go, ah, here's another sound effect ugly. Mm
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: hmm that's it. You got another sound another sound effect ugly.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with that one. Who doggy? I got sound? Yeah?

- 1:14:32Speaker 1: trending news from our home station in Chicago, V one
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: oh three. More than thirty two thousand public school teachers
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: and support staff in Chicago walked off the job yesterday
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: and onto picket lines after contract negotiations with the city
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: came to a screeching halk. More than three hundred thousand
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: kids in the city are out of school, leaving parents
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: scrambling to find childcare, and there's no telling how long
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: schools will be closed. The school via Chicago t Teachers
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Union say the sides are still very far apart on
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: a new contract. Uh, there is no class, but schools
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: will remain open to serve lunch, breakfast, and take home
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: dinner for students. The strike is Chicago's first major walkout
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: by teachers since twenty twelve. Mayor Lori Lightfoot said she
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: was disappointed by the union's decision to strike. This is
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: a Brandon mayor, right, Mayor low Yeah, yeah, and respect them,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: respect what they do for our kids. It's just really
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: no way around this, man. It's a shame that teachers
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: have to do just to get your attention. Yeah, but
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: they are underserved in public school now, such a thankless job.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: So many of them use their own money for supplies. Yeah,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: and a teacher should not have to struggle. Who are
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: responsible for the education of our children? Our children. It's
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: not just Chicago, it's everywhere. Teachers are grossly underpaid. Yes
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: they are. And you're saying, we're saying thirty two thousand
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: teachers three hundred thousand students. Wow wow, Yeah. All right, Well,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, you're listening to show. US
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Representative Elijah Cummings, one of the most influential Democrats in
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Congress and a key figure in the impeachment inquiry against
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: President Donald Trump, sadly, so sadly passed away yesterday at
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: the age of sixty eight. The cause of a sixty
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: eight years old Steve. Yeah, so sad. The cause of
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: death was complication. Sixty eight. Yeah, he was sixty eight. Yeah,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: sixty eight, Yeah, that's yeah, yeah yeah. The cause of
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: death was complications concerning long standing health challenges. His office
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: set in a statement he was the son of sharecroppers
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: who rose to lead the powerful House Oversight and Reform Committee.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Representative Cummings clashed with President Trump over multiple probes involving
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: the Republican president, from his personal finances to possible abuses
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: at federal agencies. Fellow Democrats recognized mister cummings commitment to fairness,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: civil rights, and to his hometown Baltimore. We've lost a
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: giant US House majority whip, James Clyborne said. President Trump
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: sent his condolences to friends of friends and family of
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Congressmen Elijah Cummings. And the thing about him, Steve, was
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: that people liked him Republicans liked him, Democrats liked him.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: He was one of those politicians that everybody liked. And
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: he was friends with them, I mean true friends with them.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: They respected him and loved him, even if they disagreed
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: with him. Yet Yeah, right right, they could a degree
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: to disagree. Why truly, miss, I'm just waiting for Trump
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to say something ignorant. Man. He hasn't enough. Not only
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: has been well, at least he had a good sense
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: to send condolences to um, you know, his family. Somebody
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: did that for him, was smart enough to do that.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Very very sad, very sad. Now the foot soldier gone.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Definitely civil rights um, you know, leader and everything. Yeah,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: and you were surprised that it was st Yeah, he
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: stood up. He was a conscious for the country. You know.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: You know we need people like representative comings, congressmen company. Yeah. Sure,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: because this president, this leader we have. We got to vote.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: It's just it's just alarming. But we've got to get
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: out and vote because it's just alarming. Oh the way
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: he is as a president, it just and coming from
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: that office, it just it just seems unbelievable. And the
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: fact that they're allowing it is just is ridiculous. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day, our last
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: break of the week, and some closing remarks from the
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: to all right, Steve. Here we are, last break of
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: the day, last day of the week. This is Friday.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: It got here. You said it was coming. Yeah, it's here.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: I talk keep telling y'all half great weekend. Why why
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: don't I be leaving? I'm speaking to existence, to things
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: you want in existence. That's right. It's my closing remarks
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: that day. You know. I want to thank Shirley Strawberry
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: on yesterday for helping me with the project that I
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: had been thinking about for a couple of years, and
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: it was money. Because when I put it in front
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: of my team this year, I said I wanted to
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: do it now. One of my top team leaders said,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: this is a two twenty project. I ignored them because
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: I have learned that when God tells me to do
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: something and put something in my spirit and gives me
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: a vision for something, my job is to act on
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: it now, not two and twenty, but now. So I
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: did it and it turned out to be a great project,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: and I'll be telling you all what it is. But
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: I had a really really amazing group of women and
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I had surely narrate this event for me, and I'll
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: tell you what it is. But the problem I'm getting
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to is I shot it at Tyler Perry's new studios,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: and cause me and Tyler have a friendship. So he
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: came up and on the break he put me in
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: a truck and he and he drove me around the
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: new Tyler Perry Studios. I didn't see all of it,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: just he gave me a tool and we were talking,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: and you know what, I was sitting there and I
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: kept hitting him the whole time we were driving. I
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: was just punching him man, tapping him up, laughing. I've
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: always been a person that Tyler Perry could show things
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: too because he knows that he's gonna get a pure
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: reaction from me. I'm not a hater at all when
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: I see somebody doing something amazing, but to Tyler Perry
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Studios off the chain. Let me tell y'all something. I
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: have been on Sony's lots. I have been on Paramount slots,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I have been on the Universal Lot, I've been on
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: CBS loots. What Tyler Perry has built and owns. It's
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: absolutely incredible. And you know what it did for me.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: It made me bump my dreams up a bit. Now,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: not that I want what Tyler Perry has, and it's
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: not that I can do what Tyler Perry has done.
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I'm just talking about it made me boost up my
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: visions and dreams. It made me think bigger because after
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: seeing what he had accomplished with his vision and his
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: faith and his hard work, it just lets me know
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: that it's doable for all of us. All of us
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: can bump up our visions and dreams. And look, I'm
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: not saying that you have to match anybody else's, but
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: you can certainly just put the spin on yours. Instead
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: of imagining yourself being able to get another a new
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: used car, why don't you see or imagining yourself with
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: the new car. Instead of seeing yourself getting a raise
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: on your j Why about this, Why don't you see
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: yourself getting a promotion on your job that's more money
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and a higher position. I'm just saying it doesn't have
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: to be at the level of somebody else, but everybody
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: can wheel and wish and envision themselves to a better life.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: For themselves. It's all relative. And I'm telling you, man.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: When I was riding with my buddy and I was
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: listening to his visions in his dream, but I was
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: not really looking at him and watching how he thought,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: it made me think about a project that I was
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: working on, and I just changed it a bit. I
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: actually went home and tweaked it. I just decided, wow, man,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I should up it a bit. And that's exactly what
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I did. I just decided to up it a bit.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Not because I'm Tyler Perry, No, I'm Steve Harvey, and
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: not because as you're Tyler Perry. No, you're who you are.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: But you can up your position from wherever you're at
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: and when you to see somebody else doing it at
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: a higher level, it's not for us to hate, it's
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: for us to become motivated. I get motivated when I
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: see people making dreams come true. I get motivated when
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: I see people accomplishing things. I was driving around that
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: lot and I got said, I've been on all the
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: lots in Hollywood, every last one of them. I've shot
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: something at every single lot in Hollywood. But to ride
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: around his set and to see him having named all
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: of these big sound stages and studios where they shoot
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: movies after black actors. Halle Berry has a studio, Denzel Washington,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Ruby D has a studio, Spike Lee has a studio.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Sydney Portier has a studio. I can just go name
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: after name after name of people that he put on
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: the wall and have studios. Do you know that I
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: was riding with this man and I realized that when
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: I'm riding on lots, I see Bob Hope Boulevard, Dean
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: Martin studios, Betty White. All these are great people, you know,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Jerry Lewis, I see all They're all great people. I'm
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: not knocking at all. But to ride on a studio,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: a lot over three hundred some acres and see this
