- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you'll think I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 6: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now.
- 2:07Speaker 6: One and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Oh man,
- 2:12Speaker 6: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God. Because God
- 2:16Speaker 6: is simply amazing, because God is off the chain, because
- 2:20Speaker 6: God is over the top, because God is all that
- 2:23Speaker 6: in a bag of chips.
- 2:25Speaker 2: God is amazing. Man.
- 2:27Speaker 6: God will take you places that you never ever thought
- 2:31Speaker 6: you would go, or.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You know what.
- 2:33Speaker 6: It's sometimes it amazes me when I'm watching people talk
- 2:37Speaker 6: about themselves and their careers and where they're at in
- 2:40Speaker 6: life and things, and they and I hear people say,
- 2:43Speaker 6: you know, always dreamed of being here. You know, I
- 2:47Speaker 6: can understand when a person says that I've always dreamed
- 2:51Speaker 6: that of something like this would happen to me. But
- 2:53Speaker 6: I want you to think about that for a second.
- 2:58Speaker 6: Did you really see it just like that though? Did
- 3:02Speaker 6: you really really see it just like that? Did you
- 3:08Speaker 6: really know that God was gonna bring you through all
- 3:12Speaker 6: he brought you through to get you to this place?
- 3:16Speaker 6: Did you know that, in spite of the losses along
- 3:19Speaker 6: the way that would crumbled the average person, that somehow
- 3:23Speaker 6: He kept you through it all and that's how you
- 3:25Speaker 6: got here? Did you think of you know? I mean,
- 3:29Speaker 6: you know, I mean, since you're so busy talking about
- 3:32Speaker 6: yourself now, have you forgotten all the times He was
- 3:37Speaker 6: bringing you through when you didn't see no way that
- 3:41Speaker 6: you was.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Gonna get through? Do you remember that?
- 3:44Speaker 6: So when you sit there and you say, I dreamed
- 3:47Speaker 6: of this, this is what I always.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Saw happening, I don't really think. So. I don't really think.
- 3:53Speaker 6: If you take inventory, or real close inventory of your
- 3:57Speaker 6: life and you look back on it all, stop looking
- 3:59Speaker 6: at at the moment right now, remember where you come from. See,
- 4:03Speaker 6: that's what gets me emotional sometimes, that's what makes me
- 4:06Speaker 6: tear up, because when something is happening to me in
- 4:09Speaker 6: the moment, it ain't the moment for me, it's the
- 4:13Speaker 6: memory of how I got there.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's the recollection of all.
- 4:18Speaker 6: The things, all the nights, all the days in that car,
- 4:23Speaker 6: all the times by myself when I felt like I
- 4:26Speaker 6: wasn't gonna make it. But somehow I'm standing somewhere and
- 4:29Speaker 6: somebody passing out on the ward to me or somebody
- 4:32Speaker 6: calling my name, that's that.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Did you really think you was gonna make it?
- 4:37Speaker 3: Then?
- 4:38Speaker 6: So so so, since you're talking about this is what
- 4:40Speaker 6: I always dreamed. Did you really think in those moments
- 4:44Speaker 6: right there that you would even be standing here today?
- 4:47Speaker 6: That's why I try to I try to get people
- 4:48Speaker 6: to understand, you know, and and and and this is
- 4:51Speaker 6: kind of for young people today what I'm about to say.
- 4:54Speaker 6: But then guess what I sometimes I had to remind
- 4:57Speaker 6: myself of it, So I guess it's still kind of
- 4:59Speaker 6: for everybody, you know, because I work with a lot
- 5:02Speaker 6: of young people, and so many times, man, young people
- 5:06Speaker 6: just don't understand what all it takes. And I know
- 5:11Speaker 6: it if you're a full grown adult, if you're forty,
- 5:14Speaker 6: you really understanding where I'm coming from, because you know
- 5:20Speaker 6: it's listen to me, young people or anybody that don't
- 5:23Speaker 6: understand this, that you got to do some things that
- 5:27Speaker 6: you don't want to do in order to do what
- 5:30Speaker 6: you want to do, you have to understand this principle
- 5:34Speaker 6: of success or else you are not going to become successful.
- 5:39Speaker 6: I got what you want to do. I got your
- 5:42Speaker 6: ultimate goal? Is this, that, and the other? I got
- 5:45Speaker 6: all of that. But in the meantime, though, there are
- 5:49Speaker 6: some necessary steps that you have to take in order
- 5:51Speaker 6: to become successful, and you cannot skip these steps. You
- 5:56Speaker 6: can't jump over these steps just because you want to
- 5:58Speaker 6: be rich, Friday, I got that, I got that.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Everybody got that.
- 6:04Speaker 6: But if you want this, whatever you're talking about, whether
- 6:07Speaker 6: it's money or success or fame or climbing the corporate
- 6:11Speaker 6: letter or this is the position or you all, that's
- 6:14Speaker 6: fine and day. Please hold on to your dreams. Dreams
- 6:18Speaker 6: come true. But in the meantime, let me remind you
- 6:23Speaker 6: of something that you gotta do some things you don't
- 6:26Speaker 6: want to do in order to do what you want
- 6:29Speaker 6: to do. Let's say you want to be rich and famous.
- 6:32Speaker 6: Let's just say that's it for you. Now, it's a
- 6:35Speaker 6: lot of other ways of being successful. Please don't think
- 6:37Speaker 6: that's the only one. But I'm just saying let's just
- 6:39Speaker 6: say yos is rich and famous. And let's say some
- 6:43Speaker 6: miraculous way God made you rich and famous. Next Friday,
- 6:48Speaker 6: Ta dad d y'all you rich and you famous?
- 6:51Speaker 2: Next Friday?
- 6:52Speaker 6: Can I share something with you? This is not going
- 6:55Speaker 6: to last for you. You know why because you have
- 6:58Speaker 6: not done the things necessary. You have not done the
- 7:03Speaker 6: things that you have to do in order to do
- 7:07Speaker 6: the things you want. So now you're rich and famous.
- 7:10Speaker 6: How you gonna know how to budget money? How you
- 7:14Speaker 6: gonna know how to get up and keep clawing towards
- 7:17Speaker 6: the top when you fall off your pedestal.
- 7:20Speaker 2: See, it's so many things.
- 7:22Speaker 6: You got to know about something, and you think because
- 7:26Speaker 6: it's what you want right now, it's supposed to happen
- 7:28Speaker 6: just now. It's a process. When you ask God for something.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Please know God know the process. He know the necessary
- 7:35Speaker 6: steps to take you through. Don't lose your patience with
- 7:38Speaker 6: God because your dreams ain't coming true right now?
- 7:43Speaker 2: Man?
- 7:44Speaker 6: You know, I think the best way y'all is for me.
- 7:47Speaker 6: I just use myself as an example. I really do
- 7:50Speaker 6: understand why God has given me the life he's given
- 7:53Speaker 6: me so far. I understand the being homeless part. Now
- 7:56Speaker 6: I get to not being successful when I want it
- 7:59Speaker 6: to part.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Now I get it.
- 8:01Speaker 6: I got the delayed entry into the field of choice
- 8:04Speaker 6: for myself. I got it now. I've been wanting to
- 8:07Speaker 6: be on TV and a little comedian since I was
- 8:10Speaker 6: nine years old. But guess what, I didn't get there
- 8:12Speaker 6: until I was twenty eight. But see, I didn't get it.
- 8:16Speaker 6: Then I was mad at God.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You know what I.
- 8:19Speaker 6: Want, and I'm senter me here here. I got exactly
- 8:21Speaker 6: what you want. But I got this process. I want
- 8:23Speaker 6: you to go through to get here too, because see
- 8:26Speaker 6: I'm finna take you somewhere. You don't know nothing, but
- 8:28Speaker 6: one day you're gonna have a radio show with you
- 8:30Speaker 6: a little stupid behind. You don't know this yet. I'm
- 8:32Speaker 6: gonna bless you with a radio show. You don't even
- 8:34Speaker 6: know it. That's why I say every morning, Steve Harvey
- 8:37Speaker 6: got a radio show. Because see, I didn't see this
- 8:40Speaker 6: one coming. But see, God had a plan for me.
- 8:42Speaker 6: It was in the blueprint of my life. So God said,
- 8:45Speaker 6: what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna make your life
- 8:47Speaker 6: a little rough for you.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I'm gonna toss you up a little bit.
- 8:51Speaker 6: I'm gonna let you make some of these stupid decisions
- 8:54Speaker 6: you wanna make. And I'm gonna make you learn from them.
- 8:56Speaker 6: I'm gonna let you be homeless for a little while.
- 9:00Speaker 6: I'm gonna let you not get into your field of
- 9:02Speaker 6: choice until you're twenty eight. I'm gonna have people talking
- 9:05Speaker 6: about if we had only seen him when he was younger.
- 9:07Speaker 6: I ain't gonna let you get your first con your
- 9:09Speaker 6: name to your thirty eight. I'm gonna make you go
- 9:12Speaker 6: through some things because one day I'm gonna put a
- 9:15Speaker 6: microphone in front of your mouth, and I want you
- 9:17Speaker 6: to honor me. I want you to talk about me.
- 9:20Speaker 6: I want you to tell people what I bought you through.
- 9:22Speaker 6: I want you to give people inspirational moments where they
- 9:25Speaker 6: can see that your life was jacked up for a
- 9:27Speaker 6: minute and I turned your life around for you.
- 9:30Speaker 2: That's God dealing with me. See.
- 9:33Speaker 6: So now I finally understand why I went through the
- 9:36Speaker 6: life I went through, so I can have something to say. See,
- 9:40Speaker 6: I ain't over here telling you about what I think
- 9:42Speaker 6: will happen. I'm telling you what I know can happen.
- 9:45Speaker 6: That God does make dreams come true, but sometime it
- 9:48Speaker 6: take a minute. Sometimes you're gonna have to do some
- 9:51Speaker 6: things you don't want to do in order to do
- 9:53Speaker 6: what you wanna do. All right, all let you I'm
- 9:56Speaker 6: gonna be tripping the day you're listening.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 6: It is time again to start it off. You know what,
- 10:06Speaker 6: you can't start this day without being grateful. You really
- 10:09Speaker 6: need to say thank you because he did it again.
- 10:13Speaker 6: He did it again, absolutely the only one that can
- 10:17Speaker 6: do it. He's given us a new day, a new opportunity,
- 10:21Speaker 6: another shot at it.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I'm gonna take full advantage of mind.
- 10:24Speaker 6: I will do something today to move myself towards happiness
- 10:30Speaker 6: or success. Those are the two things I'm focused on.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Happiness and success.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Notice I didn't say nothing about money, because you can
- 10:38Speaker 6: find happiness and success without that if but that should
- 10:43Speaker 6: be your goal today, happiness and success. Thank you Lord
- 10:45Speaker 6: for waking me up this morning. Everybody else is listening
- 10:48Speaker 6: to the Steve Office Morning Show. Sheildy Strawberry callin Frail Mississippi,
- 10:51Speaker 6: Monica Junior and the legend that he is nephew Tommy Junior.
- 10:57Speaker 2: What's on your mind today? That's odd?
- 10:59Speaker 7: Jenis say that success, happiness and success. How do you
- 11:04Speaker 7: find success without money?
- 11:06Speaker 2: How you figure that?
- 11:08Speaker 8: Well?
- 11:08Speaker 2: You got success?
- 11:09Speaker 6: You gets I've had a lot of success without money,
- 11:12Speaker 6: because once you start the process to becoming successful, that's
- 11:18Speaker 6: that's a huge jump right there. Do you know what
- 11:20Speaker 6: stops most people from becoming successful is they never start.
- 11:25Speaker 6: If you can just begin the journey today, success has
- 11:30Speaker 6: already begun for you. What throws people off is they
- 11:34Speaker 6: keep waiting to measure success when they get to the
- 11:37Speaker 6: finish line. You can't do it that way because you
- 11:40Speaker 6: don't know where the finish line is. That is joy
- 11:44Speaker 6: in the journey. You have got to be grateful at
- 11:47Speaker 6: the levels. Thank you God for giving me the will power,
- 11:50Speaker 6: the desire, the fortification.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I'm not I don't know if that's.
- 11:53Speaker 6: The word's case for you out because it's got real
- 11:59Speaker 6: close to forty case, so much fortification to start.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I wanted to make sure I didn't say that I
- 12:06Speaker 2: have done that now I have. I have funny forticated,
- 12:10Speaker 2: I have done that.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I wasn't proud of it every time.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Sometimes I was any way, great question, dinnor I was
- 12:19Speaker 1: gonna say, great answer, Steve.
- 12:21Speaker 6: Well, I'm not finished, though, Shirley. I go outside track
- 12:25Speaker 6: because I thought I said it won't work. But once
- 12:28Speaker 6: you start the process of success, Junior that's huge for you.
- 12:32Speaker 2: That's huge. That means you are on the way. So
- 12:36Speaker 2: imagine this.
- 12:37Speaker 6: Let's say you weren't pursuing your goals yesterday and then
- 12:41Speaker 6: today you wake up and you say, today is the
- 12:44Speaker 6: first day of the rest of my life, and I'm
- 12:47Speaker 6: going to be in pursuit of success and happiness today.
- 12:50Speaker 6: That right there is a huge jump from yesterday. That
- 12:54Speaker 6: you went from going nowhere to on your way to somewhere.
- 12:57Speaker 6: That's a huge jump, man, That some monumental jump everybody.
- 13:02Speaker 6: So make the decision, and there's success in the decision.
- 13:07Speaker 6: The average person won't even do that. Man, enjoy yourself. Man,
- 13:13Speaker 6: And and every day you wake up that he gives
- 13:16Speaker 6: us a new day, another shot at it, another step
- 13:19Speaker 6: towards the goal that is success.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's without the beautiful answer, Steven. I
- 13:26Speaker 1: love that, My law, My law.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna buy you a heating pad for Christmas, Junior.
- 13:35Speaker 1: All right, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:39Speaker 1: we will hear from the nephew would run that prank
- 13:42Speaker 1: back right after this you're listening morning show, and it's
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now for the nephew to run that prank back.
- 13:50Speaker 1: What you got for his nef.
- 13:52Speaker 9: Uh, we're gonna be as ignorant as we was yesterday.
- 13:56Speaker 9: All right, No sense and changing things up. Let's keep
- 13:59Speaker 9: it stupid up in here. This is Auntie Debra Kay's half.
- 14:03Speaker 9: All right, aunt Tie Debra Kay's half. You're not gonna
- 14:07Speaker 9: have no problem with my auntie. You understand that. Let's

- 14:29Speaker 9: hadn't fell out in church today.
- 14:31Speaker 10: I don't.
- 14:31Speaker 11: I don't even use glue because I don't even know
- 14:34Speaker 11: why you're coming at me on the side tip anyway
- 14:36Speaker 11: about your auntie.
- 14:37Speaker 2: My auntie, My auntie is Deborah, and I have fell.
- 14:41Speaker 11: No, you tell don't use glue up and that nineteen

- 15:40Speaker 9: She just got her hair done from you yesterday. How
- 15:43Speaker 9: you gonna sit here and act like you ain't.

- 15:46Speaker 11: You're just saying glue come woman and common tell me
- 15:53Speaker 11: mistake because I don't and I ain't.

- 16:02Speaker 10: Just wait a minute?

- 16:31Speaker 11: Look here, look here, I ain't got time to tell you.
- 16:34Speaker 11: Ain't it whatever? Ain't the mistake? And wasn't it?
- 16:37Speaker 2: Now?

- 21:26Speaker 1: I got saved and I've been married for four years.
- 21:29Speaker 1: My husband is not saved, and he loves threesomes and
- 21:33Speaker 1: to go to sex parties. I'm so conflicted because some
- 21:36Speaker 1: of the people at the parties are my church members.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Is this normal behavior?
- 21:40Speaker 2: Now?
- 21:43Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 21:45Speaker 2: All right? Save?
- 21:47Speaker 6: You know y'all down there, and the should be a
- 21:49Speaker 6: conflict if you truly saved. But you know, now you
- 21:53Speaker 6: conflict because your husband want to continue in that lifestyle
- 21:56Speaker 6: and you probably ain't gonna want to. So now you
- 22:00Speaker 6: got here, you know, you got to do what's best
- 22:03Speaker 6: for you, and you got to do what you think
- 22:05Speaker 6: is right.
- 22:06Speaker 2: That's all to.
- 22:07Speaker 6: That's see what you can't do. You can't change horses
- 22:11Speaker 6: in the middle of the stream. Now you you and
- 22:13Speaker 6: your husband was going to such parties in threesomes. Now
- 22:16Speaker 6: you done got saved. But the people in the group
- 22:19Speaker 6: is down at the church. Well, I guess they wasn't
- 22:21Speaker 6: a saved members at the church. So what's there at
- 22:24Speaker 6: your savings?
- 22:26Speaker 1: They there?
- 22:28Speaker 6: You know, you don't know if it's like a baptism
- 22:30Speaker 6: or nothing, But what's there after saving or what's there
- 22:34Speaker 6: your husband's gonna keep going down.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Now, I just want you to know.
- 22:37Speaker 6: But the church members is now, Yeah, a lot of
- 22:41Speaker 6: people in church ain't saved.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Just because you saved, don't mean you don't sin other party.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I didn't know you going to the big party. Yeah,
- 22:53Speaker 2: all right, moving on to say, but I'll slap.
- 22:55Speaker 6: You try Jesus not mewar God out here. I swear
- 23:02Speaker 6: to God. It ain't nothing, man, It's a part of
- 23:07Speaker 6: the fate.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Wow.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Moving on to Velma in DC.
- 23:14Speaker 9: Uh.
- 23:14Speaker 1: My husband and I split up and I can't stand him,
- 23:19Speaker 1: so I moved to a rental. I still pay half
- 23:21Speaker 1: the mortgage, so I go over there whenever I want to.
- 23:25Speaker 1: He had a woman in my house last night. I
- 23:27Speaker 1: put her out. Why won't he agree to sell the
- 23:30Speaker 1: house so he can be free?
- 23:32Speaker 6: Well, now you went to the rental, m she moved up.
- 23:37Speaker 6: You went to the rental because you can't stand right,
- 23:39Speaker 6: he had.
- 23:40Speaker 2: A woman in the house.
- 23:42Speaker 6: You had every right to put out because it's still
- 23:44Speaker 6: your house. Yeah, yeah, but now this, why won't he what?
- 23:48Speaker 6: Why won't what what they got to do with the woman?
- 23:54Speaker 2: Coming back over there? He just don't time it different.
- 23:57Speaker 1: The next time, and maybe I just in his half.
- 24:01Speaker 6: What but I just I just think you're arguing about
- 24:05Speaker 6: the wrong thing.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Why won't he sell it?
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so he wants to sell and get her money
- 24:11Speaker 1: with her life. Yeah he can do. They not even divorced,
- 24:15Speaker 1: right right, Well they split, but she didn't say divorce.
- 24:19Speaker 1: They split it.
- 24:20Speaker 6: They not divorced. Now she praying after it. So it
- 24:22Speaker 6: is still her house. Yeah, she went over and she
- 24:26Speaker 6: put the woman out. Technically it is, but she'd have moved.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Into a renter.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So she can't stand him.
- 24:33Speaker 6: I understand that you can't stand him, but somebody can't
- 24:37Speaker 6: and you can't get mad at this. This You can't
- 24:39Speaker 6: get mad at this man because he won't to have
- 24:41Speaker 6: somebody don't live there no more.
- 24:44Speaker 1: See but she's saying she's not. She doesn't have a
- 24:48Speaker 1: problem with that. She just wants to sell the house.
- 24:52Speaker 6: She got a problem with it. Why she put the
- 24:53Speaker 6: lady out? She got problem with it because it's her house.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Hello, because it's still her house.
- 25:00Speaker 6: She I've said she has every right, trust me. I
- 25:03Speaker 6: just said that she got every right put that woman in.
- 25:06Speaker 6: But they need to get a divorced. You you can
- 25:09Speaker 6: forget him not seeing nobody because you over there at
- 25:11Speaker 6: the riddle.

- 25:43Speaker 2: We're moving on to hear this whole sink and come
- 25:46Speaker 2: out the wall.

- 25:56Speaker 1: When we're out, I do all of the talking and
- 25:58Speaker 1: ordering to avoid conflict. She doesn't think she has a problem,
- 26:02Speaker 1: So how do I get her to see how rude
- 26:04Speaker 1: and abrasive she is with others?
- 26:07Speaker 2: Why don't you leave them?
- 26:09Speaker 3: Oh?

- 36:54Speaker 1: aimed at riling up his magabase. So what do you
- 36:57Speaker 1: guys think in word indictment easy to mix up?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Does anybody have a copy of the tape? I want
- 37:04Speaker 2: to hear?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Yeah, Prad, So.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I just want you to know that too. Oh oh
- 37:12Speaker 2: you mean he he said, actually the in word And
- 37:16Speaker 2: that's what I'm asking you.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yes, he said in word, So read exactly what he said.
- 37:22Speaker 1: That my whole life, I didn't know what the in word.
- 37:26Speaker 1: I didn't know what indictment meant. That's his quote.
- 37:30Speaker 2: That's exactly the indictment.
- 37:34Speaker 1: But care, we need you to care right now?
- 37:36Speaker 2: No, I mean because I mean it's Donald Trump. Yeah.
- 37:41Speaker 6: Why do you keep expecting decency? Rep Why do you
- 37:46Speaker 6: expect Why would we expect him to act like like
- 37:51Speaker 6: a decent human being?
- 37:55Speaker 2: He's not.
- 37:56Speaker 1: He's a former president of the United States.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Yes, he is constantly doing things like this, constantly saying
- 38:05Speaker 6: stuff right here, This ain't nothing new.
- 38:07Speaker 2: He just said in word before two I promise you.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Have not just the phrase in word, the actual word.
- 38:18Speaker 1: How do you get inward and indictment mixed up?
- 38:21Speaker 2: Though? Don't show the same letters.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Right now, he knows what he's doing.
- 38:27Speaker 13: Yeah, y'all, y'all better registered a vote and get out

- 38:37Speaker 6: you gonna you think you sick?
- 38:38Speaker 10: Now?

- 38:58Speaker 2: This is Joe Biden's work.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Get registered, go vote. Coming up at thirty four minutes
- 39:04Speaker 1: after the hour, it is Black History Month, of course,
- 39:07Speaker 1: and will spotlight the godfather of soul, James Brown. Right
- 39:10Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show. We all know
- 39:17Speaker 1: it's Black History months and there is a documentary on
- 39:19Speaker 1: A and E called James Brown Say It Loud. The
- 39:22Speaker 1: special reflects on a godfather of soul as a musical
- 39:26Speaker 1: force and cultural catalysts in never before seen interviews and
- 39:31Speaker 1: footage from Reverend Al Sharpton and musical greats like Bootsy Collins.
- 39:35Speaker 1: There's also a part of the documentary that suggests there
- 39:39Speaker 1: was a time when James Brown was arguably the most
- 39:42Speaker 1: powerful black man in America. He virtually invented the ferocious
- 39:46Speaker 1: blend of jazz and gospel that became known as funk.
- 39:50Speaker 1: His Live at the Apollo album expanded the horizons of
- 39:53Speaker 1: the recording industry, and his songs became a soundtrack for
- 39:57Speaker 1: the civil rights movement. Steve got to ask you this.
- 40:01Speaker 1: You knew him, you met the man before. What can
- 40:03Speaker 1: you say about James Brown's music and the influence that
- 40:08Speaker 1: it had on music and culture today.
- 40:11Speaker 6: I mean, look, he was the first dude to rap.
- 40:15Speaker 6: He invented funk. He was the first real dancer on stage.
- 40:23Speaker 6: Wris Brown, Michael Jackson, Ussher, all of them copy his
- 40:27Speaker 6: move Yes, yes, now they've elevated it, but they copied
- 40:32Speaker 6: what he did. Yeah, Michael Jackson admitted it. Michael Jackson
- 40:38Speaker 6: came to It was a b T Awards, I believe,
- 40:41Speaker 6: and they were honoring James Brown. Michael called with Ramon
- 40:46Speaker 6: Baines on the phone and said to Steve there. I
- 40:49Speaker 6: come as Steve is there. Michael Jackson came backstage looking
- 40:53Speaker 6: for me. He said, hey, man, I want to do
- 40:54Speaker 6: something special for James. This is a black history moment.
- 40:58Speaker 6: I said, you know what you ought to do. When
- 41:01Speaker 6: James Brown being over they put the cape on him,
- 41:03Speaker 6: you ought to take the cape out there. So I
- 41:05Speaker 6: called the guy over. James was on stage. They gave
- 41:08Speaker 6: the cape to Michael. Michael Jackson went out there and
- 41:10Speaker 6: put the cape on James Brown. I remember that, and
- 41:15Speaker 6: and and when James Brown I got the picture of
- 41:17Speaker 6: the night. Me and Mike was backstage. I got that picture.
- 41:22Speaker 6: Come and when he stood up, James huggy, but he
- 41:26Speaker 6: did a James Brown move. He gave all his creditors
- 41:30Speaker 6: dance moves to James Brown.
- 41:32Speaker 2: James Brown was that dude? Tell you how kind he was.
- 41:36Speaker 6: I saw him in Augusta, Georgia one night at the
- 41:39Speaker 6: Sheraton Hotel. I said, man, my Mama and daddy love you.
- 41:43Speaker 6: I said, man, can I call him?
- 41:44Speaker 2: And you talked to him? Give on vote? Do what
- 41:50Speaker 2: give one?
- 41:53Speaker 1: Sounds like Roscoe Brown and him.
- 41:57Speaker 6: My mama answered the phone. I said, Mama, how you doing? Hey,
- 42:00Speaker 6: Stee where you at?
- 42:01Speaker 2: Bad if?
- 42:01Speaker 6: I said him, Gussie George, I said, Mom, I got
- 42:03Speaker 6: surprised for you. I said, where daddy at? Put that
- 42:07Speaker 6: on for any boy, I said, Daddy, somebody won't to
- 42:10Speaker 6: talk to you.
- 42:11Speaker 2: He did harp. He said, who is this?
- 42:15Speaker 1: James Brown?
- 42:16Speaker 2: Sir? The blank hot of here? No harm is me
- 42:26Speaker 2: and James Brown.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Boy.
- 42:31Speaker 2: My father could not believe that, man, class.
- 42:34Speaker 6: My daddy said, hey, or no, you playing the black godfather.
- 42:41Speaker 6: So mister, I want to think of something. You and
- 42:45Speaker 6: family friend all you just wonderful, appreciate the one thinks
- 42:49Speaker 6: being a friend of mine. My daddy cross James Brown
- 42:54Speaker 6: hung up. I called my daddy back. He said, boy,
- 42:57Speaker 6: your black Asston made it.
- 43:01Speaker 2: He didn't make it well, you know.
- 43:03Speaker 6: I said that a restaurant and I saw him because
- 43:06Speaker 6: I had done a couple of shows with him out
- 43:08Speaker 6: in l A.
- 43:09Speaker 2: And I was just performing that night and he was
- 43:12Speaker 2: He was just in the restaurant. He man talking. He
- 43:17Speaker 2: was just that dude.
- 43:18Speaker 6: And when it came to civil rights, he went up there.
- 43:20Speaker 6: He was calming and cats down here in the riot.
- 43:24Speaker 6: He made movements for him that he was a special dude.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Man. Yead his problems later on. But who ain't yeah, right,
- 43:31Speaker 2: who ain't.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Yeah, It's just just but but that's they cared, you know,

- 43:42Speaker 6: Jabab Muhammad Ali. They all stood together, man to make change,
- 43:48Speaker 6: Arthur Ash, all of them cats stood to fight for
- 43:51Speaker 6: rights for black people.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Now were on social media just tag each other down.
- 43:58Speaker 1: But thank you for that, Black Steve, thank you for that.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Calling up next, it is a nephew in today's prank
- 44:07Speaker 1: phone call. Right after this you're listening Hard Morning Show
- 44:13Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:15Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for today, and
- 44:18Speaker 1: the subject is I'm true out of shape for him.
- 44:22Speaker 1: We'll get into that, find out what that's all about,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and just a fuse put it together then, because right
- 44:28Speaker 1: now it's time for the nephew and today's prank phone call.

- 44:55Speaker 2: Cat dog if you would.
- 44:58Speaker 8: Hello Hello, I'm trying to reach them to Wilson. How
- 45:03Speaker 8: you doing money is brother spring water man? Listen? We
- 45:06Speaker 8: uh we we we got paid to actually come by
- 45:09Speaker 8: and do some services to uh for for you by
- 45:12Speaker 8: some friends of yours, and we wanted to actually call
- 45:15Speaker 8: and see about scheduling and see what you had available.
- 45:19Speaker 14: Uh some some services. Well, y'all plan on some grass
- 45:24Speaker 14: which I do. What kind of services you have?
- 45:27Speaker 8: Actually, sir, you've got some friends that have actually spent
- 45:30Speaker 8: a great amount of money on you. And what we
- 45:32Speaker 8: do is we have a Baptismal on Wheels survey. And
- 45:37Speaker 8: what we do is we go and we we baptize
- 45:41Speaker 8: people at their home and and Baptism on Wheels has
- 45:44Speaker 8: been a new company, but we've we've baptized over a
- 45:48Speaker 8: thousand people. Now we have a truck with which actually
- 45:52Speaker 8: has a baptismal pool on the back of it, and
- 45:54Speaker 8: we actually come to your home and we will baptize
- 45:57Speaker 8: you in your driveway and and make you hold again.
- 46:02Speaker 14: So we still brother Water, brotheram sorry fringwater, fringwater. What
- 46:09Speaker 14: you want to come to my house and give me
- 46:10Speaker 14: a baptism in my front yard.
- 46:13Speaker 8: We want to baptize you right there in your drive
- 46:15Speaker 8: where your friends are paid for the services.
- 46:17Speaker 14: And my friend, what.
- 46:18Speaker 10: Friend will pay for me to get baptized. I've been
- 46:20Speaker 10: baptized already.
- 46:22Speaker 8: Well from my understanding, sir, that ever then that you
- 46:25Speaker 8: you had some some bumps and bruises and and and
- 46:28Speaker 8: they seem to believe that you need to be Washington
- 46:31Speaker 8: coming again.
- 46:31Speaker 10: I mean, that's all good, that's all.
- 46:33Speaker 8: That's all. It's all good.
- 46:34Speaker 14: But I mean things are I mean things be that
- 46:37Speaker 14: that it made man, I mean, I've been baptized, I
- 46:39Speaker 14: go to church. You know, me and the Lord don't
- 46:42Speaker 14: have no problems. I mean we all have setbacks. But
- 46:44Speaker 14: for you to pull up with your pool in front
- 46:47Speaker 14: of my house to say you finah baptized me, that
- 46:49Speaker 14: that doesn't make any sense to me.
- 46:51Speaker 8: I mean, succeed sir. Sometimes when some people are not
- 46:54Speaker 8: able to go to the house of the Lord and
- 46:56Speaker 8: get baptized, you know, we're making a lot more convenient
- 47:00Speaker 8: for you.
- 47:00Speaker 14: But we can actually need no convenience. I don't need
- 47:03Speaker 14: no convenience. What I need convenience.
- 47:05Speaker 10: So you asking me to come to my house on
- 47:09Speaker 10: a Tuesday to baptize me in my driveway? Does that
- 47:14Speaker 10: make any sense to you? Brother Water? I mean, come on,
- 47:17Speaker 10: if you really sit back and think about it, does
- 47:19Speaker 10: that make any sense to you?
- 47:20Speaker 8: The first of all? So that that's that's that's that's
- 47:24Speaker 8: brother spring water. But what I'm trying, what I'm trying
- 47:27Speaker 8: to the.
- 47:28Speaker 10: Water is holy water, spring water. It doesn't make no
- 47:31Speaker 10: difference to me. You can't come to my neighborhood and
- 47:35Speaker 10: baptize me in front of my house.
- 47:37Speaker 8: Sir?
- 47:38Speaker 14: What is this is?
- 47:39Speaker 8: This is what your friends are talking about that you.
- 47:42Speaker 10: Don't give my prayers are telling you? Man, anybody which
- 47:45Speaker 10: which one of my prayers don't recommend you to come
- 47:47Speaker 10: to my damn house from my let's make that don't
- 47:53Speaker 10: even make any sense to me.
- 47:54Speaker 8: You understand, I'm not at any liberty to tell you
- 47:57Speaker 8: who actually uh liberty because.
- 48:00Speaker 10: Of my damn house that baptized me. But you can't
- 48:03Speaker 10: tell me who the hell go see you? But you're
- 48:05Speaker 10: not what make comell you're gonna even call that makes
- 48:09Speaker 10: sense for you?
- 48:09Speaker 14: God?
- 48:09Speaker 8: Come off?
- 48:10Speaker 10: That doesn't make anything no way in the world I'm
- 48:12Speaker 10: gonna allow you to come and bring your plone in
- 48:14Speaker 10: front of my house at baptize me. Then I'm asking
- 48:17Speaker 10: you ask and you you're supposed to be a pastor,
- 48:19Speaker 10: You're supposed to be baptized, and I'm asking you.
- 48:21Speaker 8: Okay, what's a.
- 48:22Speaker 10: Friend of mine is sending in you there? You know,
- 48:24Speaker 10: letting you know I need to be die. You will
- 48:26Speaker 10: say you got at.
- 48:27Speaker 8: Liberty, sir, sir, all I wanted to know basically you
- 48:30Speaker 8: I've already been paid. I'm coming gradual you now baptizing me.
- 48:36Speaker 10: I've have baptized.
- 48:37Speaker 8: I'm going to baptize you on Tuesday in your driveway.
- 48:40Speaker 10: Now, how can you was if you come to my
- 48:43Speaker 10: house in front of my driveway, you better bring the
- 48:45Speaker 10: whole congregation, you understand, you better bring the deacons, the brothers,
- 48:50Speaker 10: the sisters and everybody else. You think I'm gonna be goodtizing.
- 48:53Speaker 8: Well, this is the problem. This is what your friends
- 48:55Speaker 8: are talking about. This is why you need to be
- 48:57Speaker 8: baptized and cleansed again and washed in the blood of
- 48:59Speaker 8: the line. This is what's wrong. You need to be cleansed.
- 49:03Speaker 8: That's what's wrong with you. Mister Wilton. What's wrong with me? Now?
- 49:06Speaker 10: What's wrong with you? Is calling me in and little
- 49:08Speaker 10: my hook day telling me I need to be back
- 49:09Speaker 10: tied in front of my house. If I need to
- 49:11Speaker 10: be backt hand, don't get some only water, I go
- 49:13Speaker 10: down to the church. I don't need you come in
- 49:16Speaker 10: front of my house. Look at a circus we're aren't
- 49:18Speaker 10: afraid of from white sheep calling my torn That's as
- 49:21Speaker 10: me say for.
- 49:22Speaker 8: Mama, und up saying me, from my understanding, From my understanding,
- 49:25Speaker 8: mister Wilton, you miss two Sundays already.

- 53:59Speaker 1: Dear Stephens. I'm a forty eight year old divorced female
- 54:03Speaker 1: and I'm trying online dating. My niece helped me do
- 54:06Speaker 1: my dating profile and we used a real photo of me,
- 54:09Speaker 1: but she suggested that I lie about my interests so
- 54:12Speaker 1: I would attract a man with a nice body. So
- 54:15Speaker 1: I said that I love working out, running, and traveling.
- 54:19Speaker 1: The app matched me with a tall, muscular older man.
- 54:23Speaker 1: He isn't cute, but we've been dating for six weeks
- 54:26Speaker 1: getting to really know each other, and I like him
- 54:29Speaker 1: a lot. He runs marathons and he asked me to
- 54:32Speaker 1: do a charity run with him in April. I said yes,
- 54:35Speaker 1: but I didn't know how because I didn't know how
- 54:37Speaker 1: to say no. We started working out together and it
- 54:41Speaker 1: was obvious that I didn't know what to do in
- 54:43Speaker 1: the gym. I told him that I do yoga now
- 54:46Speaker 1: instead of going to the gym, another lie. We worked
- 54:50Speaker 1: out so hard that my head hurt. Then we went
- 54:52Speaker 1: to my house and he told me that we were
- 54:54Speaker 1: getting in the shower together. He looked at me in
- 54:57Speaker 1: the eye and said he wanted me, and he'd been
- 55:01Speaker 1: waiting for this moment. My head was hurting, and I
- 55:04Speaker 1: was so nervous because I look a lot better in
- 55:06Speaker 1: my clothes than I do naked. The shower was uncomfortable,
- 55:10Speaker 1: and it felt like he realized I didn't work out
- 55:12Speaker 1: by the way he looked at my body. After the shower,
- 55:16Speaker 1: you already know. We went straight to my bed. It
- 55:19Speaker 1: was our first time together, and I had such a
- 55:22Speaker 1: hard time keeping up with him. My leg was not
- 55:25Speaker 1: supposed to bend the way he bent it, and it's
- 55:27Speaker 1: still hurting. Stephen Shirley, I have lied and ended up
- 55:32Speaker 1: with a man that is too good to be true.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I'm too out of shape for him. I can't have
- 55:36Speaker 1: sex with him again. I'm too afraid. How do I
- 55:40Speaker 1: fix my lies? But keep this man?
- 55:43Speaker 2: What are you so afraid of?
- 55:45Speaker 1: I mean, working out will make you more flexible, But
- 55:49Speaker 1: wait a minute before you do anything anything else. You
- 55:53Speaker 1: have to learn how to say no if you're uncomfortable,
- 55:56Speaker 1: if you don't want to do something, you can say no,
- 55:58Speaker 1: you can say I'm not ready, you can say I
- 56:00Speaker 1: need more time. All of that is okay. The second
- 56:03Speaker 1: thing you need to do is get your confidence up. Okay,
- 56:06Speaker 1: that's what's sexy to a man. Men are visual. You're
- 56:10Speaker 1: obviously not as bad as you think because he's seen
- 56:12Speaker 1: you naked in the shower and in the bedroom and
- 56:15Speaker 1: he wasn't complaining. You just weren't comfortable with how you looked.
- 56:19Speaker 1: I think women in general are much too hard on ourselves,
- 56:23Speaker 1: and you have to start feeling good about you, and
- 56:26Speaker 1: you have to start doing that now. You can't expect
- 56:28Speaker 1: anyone else to if you don't. Men pick up on
- 56:31Speaker 1: those signals. You can still work out, you can still
- 56:34Speaker 1: do things with him. You just have to go at
- 56:36Speaker 1: your own pace. You can't try to keep up with
- 56:38Speaker 1: him if it's too much. You're doing this for you, remember,
- 56:42Speaker 1: not him. The third thing I have to say to
- 56:45Speaker 1: you is that people do this all the time. Everyone
- 56:49Speaker 1: lies or stretches the truth on these dating sites, so
- 56:54Speaker 1: some even go as far as catfishing. I'm sure you've
- 56:56Speaker 1: seen the show catfishing. You haven't done any of that,
- 56:59Speaker 1: and he's still there, So again, don't be so hard
- 57:02Speaker 1: on yourself anyway, didn't you say he wasn't cute? Cute?
- 57:05Speaker 1: You said he wasn't cute, So he's probably glad to
- 57:09Speaker 1: have a woman like you. Be confident, Steve.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Once again, we'dne read two different letters. Yeah, here I go.
- 57:21Speaker 6: I just wanted to say, before I do this letter,
- 57:23Speaker 6: forgive me for those of you that might be slightly
- 57:27Speaker 6: put off or what shall they say? Put a back
- 57:34Speaker 6: by what I may say in my response. But in
- 57:40Speaker 6: the words of.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Lord John, here I go. So here we go.
- 57:50Speaker 6: Dear Stephen Shell, I'm a forty eight year old divorce
- 57:53Speaker 6: female and I'm trying online date.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Very good.
- 57:56Speaker 6: Sixty five percent of most marriages today come from online dating.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Ess new status out. My niece helped me do my
- 58:03Speaker 2: dating profile. We use a real photo of me. Thank you,
- 58:06Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 58:08Speaker 6: But she suggested I lie by my interest so I
- 58:10Speaker 6: would attract a man with a nice body.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Now let's start writing here.
- 58:18Speaker 6: If you're gonna attract a man with a nice body,
- 58:22Speaker 6: the man with a nice body probably done got his
- 58:26Speaker 6: body like that because he won't to attract a woman
- 58:29Speaker 6: with a nice body. Let's just go there. A man
- 58:34Speaker 6: is in the gym to be fit because he liked
- 58:36Speaker 6: to be fit. He probably gonna look for somebody fit.
- 58:39Speaker 6: That's why your niece told you to lie and tell
- 58:42Speaker 6: him your interest is that so you could find a
- 58:44Speaker 6: nice fit man. Well, you got to be fit too,
- 58:49Speaker 6: that's the key. You looking for fit, he looking for fit.
- 58:55Speaker 6: But now, so I said that I love working out
- 59:00Speaker 6: and traveling.
- 59:02Speaker 2: God, dog, did you write running in there? Who like running?
- 59:10Speaker 6: Not too many people so already now see And then
- 59:15Speaker 6: Shirley said what she Shelly just be lying to y'all.
- 59:19Speaker 6: Hirlie said, you should always tell the truth. Then she said,
- 59:23Speaker 6: everybody lie. Well, but see now, if you gonna lie,
- 59:31Speaker 6: you're gonna have to work on your lion, because y'all
- 59:35Speaker 6: up in here telling lies. You can't got no bet.
- 59:37Speaker 6: I love working out and running. Big ass ain't ran
- 59:40Speaker 6: nowell ain't even been to the jail. She said, Let
- 59:45Speaker 6: me shouldn't just tell you something. I'm not saying this
- 59:48Speaker 6: is the case with this lady. But if you chubby.
- 59:50Speaker 6: If you're chubby, you you probably don't run, and you
- 59:54Speaker 6: shouldn't because it's bad on your joints. You're gonna mess
- 59:58Speaker 6: your whole here, none, junior, hang on, we'll have shot
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: out of shape.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I stopped coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: We'll get back into the letter. It's called, uh, I'm
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: too out of shape for him. We'll hear part two
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: of Steve's response right after this. Boy, you're listening hard
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: morning show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject I'm too out of shape for him?
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: Well, you said it in your letter, so now why
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: I got to watch what I say? You're forty eight
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: years old, your divorced.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Ain't nothing wrong with that. Your niece helped you get
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: a dating profile. Use a real photo.
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: Yourself that would shold us up, should us up, real photo,
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: shoulders up, head shot?
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: What you did? What you did?
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: Then she suggested that you lie about your interest so
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: that you would have tshod you to track a man
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: with a nice body. So I said, I love working out,
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: running and trapped. Really okay, now work on your lion,
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: Work on your lion. The app matched me with a tall, muscular,
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: older man.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: He isn't cute. Oh, don't try to low rate him.
- 1:01:16Speaker 14: Now.
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: See you're trying to make us think something wrong with him.
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: But you got just what you asked for muscular. He
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: in shape because he in that gym matched you, because
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: you said you love to work out and run. He
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: isn't cute, but we've been dating for six weeks now,
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: obviously you can stomach it.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: He might not be cute, but he he ain't flat
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: out ugly. Though.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Why are you mad?
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Though? No, because she lied, No, I ain't. Now I'm
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: getting that man.
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: We've been dating for six weeks and getting really to
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: know each other, and I like him a lot because
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: he got personality. He runs marathons, and he asked me
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: to do a charity run with him in April. Said yes,
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: because I don't know how to say no. Now hold up,
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: now you're finna go run? See this day not right here.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: For a minute, I thought this was Tommy, because we
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: got Tommy love to work out, he stay in shape,
- 1:02:12Speaker 6: and Tommy run a lot, and Tommy in good ass
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: shape too, So I thought this was Tommy right here.
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: But Tommy, well, you know, they said he was tall,
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: and now I said.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Okay, But but she said he was unattracted. Now right there,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: right there, it was you.
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: Because I'm right there with you on that I've been
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: trying to tell you for a while, but anyway, it
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: ain't something. I said yes because I don't know how
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: to say no. We started working out together and it
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: was obvious I don't know what to do in the gym.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: I told him I do yoga now instead of going
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: to the gym. Another lot. Yeah, see, listen to me.
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: You got to work on your lions. You got to
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: do something. You got to do like you got to
- 1:02:55Speaker 6: say like you went to ribbon dancing. You got to
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: do stuff people can't check of. Yeah, you gotta do
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: stuff like that. You know, you play pickleball, stuff like that.
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: You gotta say stuff that you know other black people
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: don't do. Sitting up in here lying talking about you
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: in the gym, and you run another lie. We worked
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: out so hard my head hurt. Then we went to
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: my house and he told me we was getting in
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: the shower together. He looked at here in my eyes
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: and said he wanted me, and he'd been waiting for
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: this moment. My head was hurting, and I was so
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: nervous because I look a lot better in my clothes
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: than I do naked. That's ninety eight percent of the
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: people in the world, Lady, don't worry about that. Everybody
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: looked better in clothes, so I was nervous because I
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: look a lot better in my clothes than I do naked.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: The shower was uncomfortable. Now, let's get back to this weight. Now.
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: The shower was uncomfortable because it was crowded in there.
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: You got your little chubby ass up in there, and
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: that shower got crowded. Big muscle, uglass dude in that
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: big muscle with the trade face. He up in there,
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: just as strong all the muscles. He flexed. Your little
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: chubby ass in there. And now you're uncomfortable in the
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: shower because it's crowded in there. Too much weight. Y'all
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: all up against the glass and tore the damn curtain
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: down there. Y'all got water all over the toilet.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: See where is that in the letter?
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: It's in there, Shirley. It depends.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: And I felt like he realized that I didn't work
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: out by the way he looked at my body because
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: he was looking.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Round it, around it. He couldn't find the knob in there.
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: He was trying to get the water a little hotter,
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: but he couldn't reach the knob because you was all
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: in the knob. The nozzle and the window all up
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: in here. Chubby asked and told him, you like running,
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: you know you ain't raring. No, damn well, you run
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: up them steps so you'll fall out anyway. After the shower,
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: you already know. We went straight to my bed. You
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: had to hear up and get under them sheets, straight
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: to my bed. It was our first time together, and
- 1:05:03Speaker 6: I had such a hard time keeping up with him
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: because he in the gym here in shape, and I'm
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: gona tell you something about ugly man too. We got
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: to be able to bring it because we might not
- 1:05:12Speaker 6: get a second chance. So you couldn't even hardly keep
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: up with him. My leg was not supposed to be
- 1:05:19Speaker 6: in that way. He been it and it's still hurting.
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: It supposed to go back there. Oh, he didn't do nothing.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: He ain't seen before. He had your ankle in his
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: hand and it was back there by the other girl.
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: If yours don't go back there, Shirley come talking about
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: you need to get more flexible.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: You ain't gonna get flexible by the next day. That's
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: for days.
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: So bes rye a whole hamstrang out trying to keep
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: over this fool in his bed. This is over with
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: this relationship is dead. You far there, You and your
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: old ass husband wasn't doing none of that. I have
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: lied and ended up with the man that's too good
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: to be true. I'm too out of shape him. I
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: can't have sex with him again. That's right now. I'm
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: too afree.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: You should be. How do I fix my lives? I'll
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: keep it. This man he gone, he is gone, he gone.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Phil Lie in your leg, don't go back there.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: What we need to hit?
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: You ain't free, chubby, You ain't flexible. At least be flexible.

- 1:10:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm releasing my very first hip hop gangster rap album.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: And he collapse.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: No, I don't want nobody and anybody qualified, just you,
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: they're not.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: This is all me right, all me?
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: All good? Yeah, figure up.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: I can't wait. You do some Beyonce historicals.
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: Well, I'm using three people on the album next to
- 1:10:43Speaker 6: lab but I okay, they're really nothing new bout it.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: So you didn't have to check with anyone. Crazy.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: It ain't gonna be out long, So soon as it
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: come out, they're gonna take it down already.
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: No seasoned decisions coming clear?
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: All right? Is that your real announcement?
- 1:11:10Speaker 8: That was it?
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: Well? Thank you?
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Carrie on Facebook says I took my boyfriend to my
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: family's house for dinner over the weekend, and he'd met
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: them all before, but it was the first time we'd
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: been together at one time. Out of the blue, my brother,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: who's closest to my age, starts an argument with my boyfriend,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: saying that he had something he had said, something offensive,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: which he didn't. Before I even realized what was happening,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: they were fighting and wrestling on the floor. My boyfriend
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: is a lot bigger than my brother, so he quickly
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: got the better of him, but then my dad and
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: my other brother jumped in to pull them apart. My
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: other brother puts my boyfriend in a headlock, which leads
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: them to getting in a fight. Everything settles down and
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: we leave, but when I talked to my family later,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: some how the whole thing is now my boyfriend's fault.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: He didn't start any of this, and now I don't
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: feel comfortable bringing him around to my family's house. I
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: feel like my family is ganging up on him and
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: he doesn't deserve it. What should I do?
- 1:12:13Speaker 6: Well, first of all, you think you don't feel comfortable
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: bringing him around, now, I been his ass puckers up,
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: real nice, I'll tell you that for a damn show.
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: You think you uncomfortable. He ain't going back over there,
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: and it's nothing you can do about it. And they
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: just sided up with your brother. I don't know what
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: he could have said to your boyfriend to make this
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: fight start. I don't know, but it would have been
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: in your boyfriend's best interest to go, hey man, my bad.
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: That is what I meant for if I said something
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: you thought was offensive, I apologize you fighting this cat
- 1:12:47Speaker 6: over their house now that dad and the other brothers
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: and jumped in it's wall now. Yeah, and this ain't
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: no reality show. This is why you can't have me
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: in on reality show. He can't go over there Friday
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: and they just be eating so they see they can't
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: just be me. No, no, none of that.
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: No.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Oh wow, okay, so that's it for that.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: Huh.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Yeah, he needs to break up with him. It's over too.
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: Yeah, you can go and counsel him. Yeah, he everybody
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: in your family. That's the other reason you can't.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: Go back over he can fight.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: All right, We do have time for another one. This
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: is from Shelley. I'm Steve Harvey f M. Shelley says,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: I started dating this guy a few weeks ago and
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: we really hit it off. We're both in our mid twenties,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and he told me he was in a serious relationship
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: for several years that ended last year. Last night was
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: our fourth date, and he revealed that he has a
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: two year old son. He says that he didn't tell
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: me right away because he didn't want to scare me off,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: but that he would he would understand if I didn't
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: want to see him anymore. Is it excusable that he
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: was held that information from me until now? Should I
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: see this as a sign that this relationship is a
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: bad idea?
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: You only wasn't dates? Yeah, that wasn't that long.
- 1:14:15Speaker 6: He finally told you he had a son. You didn't
- 1:14:17Speaker 6: find out He opened up and told you, and he told.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: You why he did it.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: That's why he didn't.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: What wasn't four years? Wait? Both dates?
- 1:14:29Speaker 11: Okay?
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I can stay together, all right? More of the Steve
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after. Right
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show. Well, Apple wants
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you to stop dropping your phone in water and putting
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: it in rice. Didn't you say you just did that recently, Steve.
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: Right, I just did that, drop the whole phone in
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: that bathtube.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: But but Apple is now saying if you put your
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: phone in rice, it could allow small particles the rights
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: to damage your iPhone. So if your iPhone gets wet,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: a new feature sends an alert warning that your phone
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: is wet and you should wait to charge it. Apple
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: recommends gently tapping your iPhone against your hand to knock
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: out access water. Then make sure that your connector is
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: facing down. After that, leave your iPhone in a dry
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: area with airflow, wait half an hour, and then repeat
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: the process.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: The phone that you can drop into water can't afford it.
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: For me.
- 1:15:38Speaker 13: But when I did that, Yeah, so you still with
- 1:15:42Speaker 13: the with the right So everybody's done the right trick.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, who hasn't.
- 1:15:48Speaker 6: I ruined the phone one time after I dropped into
- 1:15:50Speaker 6: the water. I didn't know the rice trick. I held
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: it over over.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Flames trying to dry it.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: The phone melt, you can burn it down all the inside. Milton.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: You know the last time I saw anything on.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: That burn the phone?
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, looked it up online.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, coming up in thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: the hour, we'll play around it. Would you rather? Right
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: after this you're listening hard morning show, and it's time
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: now for a round of would you rather? Would you
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: rather one nostril or one ear?
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Woo or that one ear?
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: You can't have that half nostril on your face talking
- 1:16:41Speaker 6: to because it's no way I'm not.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Gonna give it to tell you you can't even focus.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: I gotta.
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: I gotta have both my ears. I got I got
- 1:16:59Speaker 9: to bed, sit my glasses or something. I'm gonna have
- 1:17:02Speaker 9: one nostril.
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: The glasses and sitting on my head cock eye at
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: an angle. I'm not gonna handle one damn nostril. I'm
- 1:17:13Speaker 6: telling you that right now.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Leave that face alone.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: You got one nostril where you're gonna put your glasses anyway?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Your nose.
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: You always pull your glasses down on your nose, don't
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: you do that? Day you do something that's over with.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: From feel tooth?
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Would you rather wear a clown wig? Or clown shoes
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: every day. Clown wig or clown shoes every day.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: Well, if Tommy wear my shoes, that's what they're gonna
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: look like.
- 1:17:53Speaker 10: Roll.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I ain't on the road. I'm gonna go with
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: the shoes.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I told you, that's what he said.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: He used to put my shoes on all the time
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: when he was little. He still he put them on.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: That Not much has changed, all right. Would you rather
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: be stuck with your spouse in a treehouse or a
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: tent on a stormy day, both of them with the spouse, Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: treehouse or a tent.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: It's the same damn thing, both of them in a storm.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: No, no, no, just a treehouse. It's a storm with
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: your spouse or a tent with your spouse on a
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: rainy day, stormy day, it's lightning, it can Yeah, it's storming,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: stormy and you're in there with your spouse in a tent.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: I don't know why we up in this tree though.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: It's just too much. You're light.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's the tree in the treehouse. You're it's
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: not storming.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Well, tom you know you didn't explain it. You didn't
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: explain it to the bill. That's for sure, j but
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: we know you don't like that. Well, watch Tommy. I
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: don't know why.
- 1:19:15Speaker 7: Tommy like he can't get in the treehouse to keep
- 1:19:17Speaker 7: the elves have lived there, you.
- 1:19:18Speaker 8: Know the.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: Look look back.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Like you ain't never bit at the treehouse before.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: This morning?
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Coming up? That's his roads. Would you rather coming up
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: in forty nine minutes after? It's the last break of
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: the day and we'll close out the show with the
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:19:44Speaker 12: You're listening Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, here we
- 1:19:48Speaker 12: are last break of the day on this Thursday. And Junior,
- 1:19:53Speaker 12: at the beginning of the show, you asked Steve a
- 1:19:57Speaker 12: question about success.
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: Yeah, because you know, we try to put those two together,
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: with money and success. He was saying, it's not the same.
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: It's not like you don't have to have money to
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: be successful. It's not that it's like your journey.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: Well, but your question was about success. What what was
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: your question?
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: I was saying, you're saying you don't have to have
- 1:20:18Speaker 7: money to be successful.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: I said, how is that? How do you judge that?
- 1:20:22Speaker 6: And you say, hey, because listen, man, here's the thing
- 1:20:26Speaker 6: about success. What prohibits people from having success, first of all,
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: is starting.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: The number one.
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: Cause of failure is the fear of failure. Most people
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: never even start. And then people equate success with the
- 1:20:53Speaker 6: finish line. Now I'm successful, But that's not it, folks.
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: The moment you make the decision to be successful, the
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: moment you start the process, the journey to changing your
- 1:21:09Speaker 6: current status in any shape form of fashion, success has begun.
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: Because I'm telling you, man, too many people sit still
- 1:21:20Speaker 6: in their life and never make a move. You know,
- 1:21:25Speaker 6: you've got to make a move. You've got to start
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: the process. You know, there's an old poem. This is
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: not exactly but it's as a stands in a poem
- 1:21:34Speaker 6: that I absolutely love. And this is not a verbatim,
- 1:21:36Speaker 6: but this is what it talks about. The credit belongs
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: to the man who is actually in the arena, whose
- 1:21:44Speaker 6: face is marred with dust, blood, sweat and tears, not
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: to those cold and timid souls in the stands who.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Know neither victory nor defeat.
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: You got so many people on the side talking about
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: the warrior that's in the arena. Social media is full
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: of it, and it's causing people not to move. It's
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: making us stagnant because we're so worried about what somebody
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: gonna say if we fail.
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: If you don't start, you failing anyway.
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: If you understands talking about somebody else's success and you
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: ain't got none, you failing anyway.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: I got news for you.
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: If you in the stands talking about somebody else's success,
- 1:22:29Speaker 6: you failing, even if you got a measure of success.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: Because I got time, I got news for you.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: People that's really trying to be successful, really trying to
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: be happy, they ain't got no they have no time.
- 1:22:41Speaker 6: They have no time to worry about somebody else. They
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: ain't got time to mention nobody else. And man, you
- 1:22:47Speaker 6: gotta start thinking about that, folks, because we live in
- 1:22:50Speaker 6: the world right now where the concern is more for
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: likes and clicks than it is for honor and respect.
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: What happened to that? What happened to the honorable man?
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: What happened to the man out of respect? What happened
- 1:23:04Speaker 6: to me and sitting down like me and talking, Hey, bro,
- 1:23:07Speaker 6: I got a problem with you. Let me holler at you.
- 1:23:10Speaker 6: What is all this Taylor Swift stuff? You got a
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: problem with somebody now you're putting them in a song.
- 1:23:16Speaker 6: You got a problem with somebody. Now you're on a Little,
- 1:23:20Speaker 6: A Little Nobody Asks podcast. Now, all of a sudden,
- 1:23:23Speaker 6: you got yourself blowed up like you're an authoritative figure.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: You're not. You're not. Look, man, if we get our
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: focus on what we're doing.
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: Once you begin the process to become successful, you are
- 1:23:37Speaker 6: a successful person. Stop looking at the finished line as
- 1:23:42Speaker 6: the foremost success. The success is in the journey. The
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: success is in the process. I give you an example.
- 1:23:51Speaker 6: Let's say your goal is to become a millionaire one day.
- 1:23:54Speaker 6: Let's just say your goal is to be a millionaire.
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: Let's say your goal is to make one hundred thousand.
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: Let's say your goal is to bring in one hundred
- 1:24:02Speaker 6: and fifty thousand, whatever your goal is. And let's say
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: you're starting with nothing today and tomorrow you start the
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: process and you make yourself ten dollars. That's a successful
- 1:24:13Speaker 6: day because guess what, you have began the process, and
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: let's say in a week or so, you'd have made
- 1:24:20Speaker 6: yourself a few hundred dollars. Yeah, you ain't a millionaire
- 1:24:24Speaker 6: right now, but don't you see that you're on the way.
- 1:24:28Speaker 6: Don't you see that you started the process. You are
- 1:24:31Speaker 6: a success story. Waiting to happen. But you are in
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: the process of writing the story. It's the people in
- 1:24:39Speaker 6: the stands that's booing that. I ain't got no story
- 1:24:42Speaker 6: at all. The credit belongs to the man who's actually
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: in the arena. Man, them people in the stands that's
- 1:24:49Speaker 6: booing you, who are they they?
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, you bought a ticket to
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: see me.
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: But now you up in there talking about I ain't
- 1:24:57Speaker 6: this and I ain't that. You can't come out here
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: and do none this, none of this. You ain't on
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: the radio, you ain't got no TV show. You quit
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: talking about me. You ain't got no rewards, you ain't
- 1:25:09Speaker 6: got nothing. I got it, but you steady talking about me. Man,
- 1:25:13Speaker 6: get yourself together. Start focusing on yourself. Folks, look at
- 1:25:18Speaker 6: your personal journey. It's hard to make it. You don't
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: have time to worry about somebody else, all these people
- 1:25:26Speaker 6: online talking about everybody. Man, get yourself together. And here's
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: the cold You know, Man, I'm gonna say this again
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: because I just learned it this year. You will never
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: have a hater that's doing better than you. Never you
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: will never have a hater that's doing better than you.
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: So why are you worried about them when they boo,
- 1:25:52Speaker 6: boo all you want. I'm in the arena. I'm swinging
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: for the wall. So what it didn't go over the wall.
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: I hit a double. Well, at least I'm on second base.
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: Your ass is in the stands. Bye, Felicia, Bye. Those
- 1:26:09Speaker 6: are my cold remarks. I wish I had more time
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: to damn out of time. Thank you, Junior.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: Y'all have a great day. Talk to God.
- 1:26:15Speaker 6: He loved to hear from because I don't want to
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: hear none. You got to say, boo, Steve, shut up?
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: You understand.
