- 1:44Speaker 2: Mouth out the word.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The mon jup, come.
- 1:58Speaker 9: Come out, you think, Uh huh, I sure will. Good
- 2:04Speaker 9: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 9: me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I do.
- 2:14Speaker 10: Took me when I said, but I do, like I
- 2:17Speaker 10: say always. It just is a constant reminder of how
- 2:21Speaker 10: good God has been. So my question to you is
- 2:24Speaker 10: what's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:29Speaker 10: What's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:33Speaker 2: I know a lot of.
- 2:35Speaker 10: People who have given up on achieving the life of
- 2:39Speaker 10: their dreams. But I know they'd still want them if
- 2:43Speaker 10: they could get to them. But they just allowed to
- 2:46Speaker 10: settle for so many reasons. So who I'm talking to
- 2:51Speaker 10: is you today. What's really at the core of stopping you?
- 2:57Speaker 6: What is that?
- 2:58Speaker 2: Is it your friends or your associates?
- 3:01Speaker 10: Is it the fear of what you think somebody else
- 3:04Speaker 10: will think of you if you decide to change.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Is it what I used to call the call of
- 3:09Speaker 2: the wile?
- 3:10Speaker 10: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 10: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:18Speaker 10: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for you,
- 3:22Speaker 10: You don't want to stop doing that because you've got
- 3:24Speaker 10: just a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:27Speaker 10: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:29Speaker 10: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, them
- 3:31Speaker 10: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:35Speaker 10: Them guys that's on the wrong side, keep calling you.
- 3:38Speaker 10: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:41Speaker 10: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:44Speaker 10: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:47Speaker 10: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,
- 3:51Speaker 10: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
- 3:54Speaker 10: that you want to have.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It's no good because at the end of the day,
- 3:59Speaker 2: here's the deal.
- 4:01Speaker 10: See, God is available, and God is available for all
- 4:04Speaker 10: of us, and God has a plan for all of us,
- 4:07Speaker 10: and God wants the very best for all of us.
- 4:10Speaker 10: That's the truth of the matter. So now what we're
- 4:13Speaker 10: gonna do to get started having that life. First of all,
- 4:17Speaker 10: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something
- 4:20Speaker 10: your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
- 4:23Speaker 10: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
- 4:27Speaker 10: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
- 4:30Speaker 10: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually
- 4:34Speaker 10: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
- 4:37Speaker 10: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
- 4:41Speaker 10: going to church. You're gonna be their friend. They don't
- 4:44Speaker 10: really want you to go to church. You know, your
- 4:47Speaker 10: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer
- 4:50Speaker 10: as a.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Solution to you.
- 4:52Speaker 10: You know, your friends don't really really get the fact
- 4:57Speaker 10: that if you treat people better, people would treat you
- 5:00Speaker 10: you better.
- 5:00Speaker 2: So what's that?
- 5:02Speaker 10: So your friends are a lot of times the reasons,
- 5:06Speaker 10: you know, to peer pressure of what and then the
- 5:08Speaker 10: thought in your mind of what they gonna think once
- 5:11Speaker 10: they find out I don't do what they do anymore.
- 5:14Speaker 10: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,
- 5:19Speaker 10: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
- 5:22Speaker 10: from having the best life you wanted to have.
- 5:25Speaker 2: If I went by that theory right there.
- 5:27Speaker 10: I wouldn't. I wouldn't even be on this mic this morning.
- 5:30Speaker 10: I would have never become a stand up I would
- 5:33Speaker 10: had I listened to the people around me who clearly
- 5:37Speaker 10: told me when I quit my job to pursue this, boy,
- 5:40Speaker 10: don't you quit your job? You got a family, Boy,
- 5:42Speaker 10: don't you do this. You ain't got no bit that,
- 5:45Speaker 10: ain't no security in that. Get yourself a job. Go
- 5:49Speaker 10: down here, and what's your brothers? Go to work over here?
- 5:51Speaker 2: Go to I heard all of that. I didn't let
- 5:54Speaker 2: that stop me from pursuing this.
- 5:56Speaker 10: Why would you allow that to stop you from pursuing
- 5:59Speaker 10: your relationship with God so you can have the best
- 6:02Speaker 10: life you could possibly have. You gang bang because they've
- 6:06Speaker 10: convinced you that this is the family situation and love
- 6:10Speaker 10: that you don't have, and they've convinced you that this
- 6:12Speaker 10: is your only way, your only source of getting over
- 6:17Speaker 10: and then you drum up these ignorant reasons man for
- 6:21Speaker 10: staying with it, But they sound so good when you
- 6:24Speaker 10: listening to everybody else you're surrounded by telling you why
- 6:28Speaker 10: we gang banging, Why we holding this block down, why
- 6:31Speaker 10: we slanging this thing here right here?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Why we letting it go?
- 6:35Speaker 10: Like this here, you keep listening to them when all
- 6:39Speaker 10: in your heart of hearts you know this ain't right.
- 6:41Speaker 10: You already know, but you allow that form of the
- 6:46Speaker 10: call of the wile that wanting to be accepted by
- 6:49Speaker 10: a group of people who trying to get you to
- 6:52Speaker 10: accept the way, so you con further they progress to
- 6:55Speaker 10: even prove that you're worthy to be around them, You
- 6:58Speaker 10: got to commit some type of crime to even prove
- 7:01Speaker 10: that you're worthy to be around them. Then when you
- 7:04Speaker 10: get busted on the crime, what happens to that where
- 7:07Speaker 10: your family are Now they don't come down there to
- 7:10Speaker 10: see you because guess what, they can't turn in They
- 7:12Speaker 10: idea to desk at a law enforcement center, So now
- 7:16Speaker 10: your homies can't come visit you. And then you know
- 7:18Speaker 10: your family back out here, they ain't taking care of
- 7:21Speaker 10: your family because it's all about them. Then you learn
- 7:24Speaker 10: that what is it that's stopping you from having the
- 7:26Speaker 10: life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:29Speaker 6: What is it?
- 7:30Speaker 10: Why are you a repeat offender? Why do you keep
- 7:35Speaker 10: checking yourself back into that institution?
- 7:38Speaker 6: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 10: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:42Speaker 10: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself? Why
- 7:46Speaker 10: would you continue to be a part of a revolving
- 7:49Speaker 10: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
- 7:53Speaker 10: that ain't got nothing for you. But you keep going
- 7:56Speaker 10: back in there. And then every time you go in there,
- 7:57Speaker 10: and now your little homies or your gang ban little
- 8:01Speaker 10: silly little friends try to make you think that's a
- 8:03Speaker 10: badge of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man,
- 8:06Speaker 10: that's one mold. What's one more scratch on that record.
- 8:09Speaker 10: That's one mold. That's one more nail in that coffin.
- 8:12Speaker 10: That's one step closer to that third strike where you
- 8:15Speaker 10: ain't gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to
- 8:18Speaker 10: that graveyard.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You keep on.
- 8:21Speaker 10: Why would you not give God a try? Why would
- 8:24Speaker 10: you not go and see what your life could really be?
- 8:27Speaker 10: What is it that's stopping you? Because see, I got
- 8:30Speaker 10: news for you. There's nothing like waking up free. I
- 8:34Speaker 10: don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking up
- 8:38Speaker 10: with the joy in your heart. Now, if you ain't
- 8:40Speaker 10: gonna be free, get the joy in your heart, the
- 8:43Speaker 10: satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something with your life.
- 8:47Speaker 10: Help somebody behind them balls get in the program. Show
- 8:50Speaker 10: these young cats when they come in a better way.
- 8:53Speaker 2: But don't you dash sit there, man and just ride
- 8:56Speaker 2: it out, and man, just go and get the is
- 9:00Speaker 2: life that you can have.
- 9:02Speaker 10: What you know, what it feels like to wake up
- 9:04Speaker 10: and be on your way somewhere knowing that you have
- 9:07Speaker 10: something to accomplish, that you can change somebody, that you
- 9:10Speaker 10: can stop somebody from going down the roads you went down.
- 9:13Speaker 10: It's a whole lot of ways to make your life better.
- 9:16Speaker 10: But why would you not go and have the best
- 9:18Speaker 10: life you can have? What is that's stopping you?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Really? Really?
- 9:23Speaker 10: So you think that Satan really has your best interest
- 9:27Speaker 10: at heart, That the little thing your mama kept telling
- 9:29Speaker 10: you about praying you wasn't listening, was you. But you know,
- 9:33Speaker 10: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.
- 9:35Speaker 10: It ain't ever too late to turn around, It ain't
- 9:38Speaker 10: ever too late to get your life together. It ain't
- 9:40Speaker 10: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever
- 9:43Speaker 10: too late to pray. Don't forget to pray, don't be
- 9:47Speaker 10: ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud to pray,
- 9:50Speaker 10: because prayer changes things. Prayer change people too. I'm a
- 9:55Speaker 10: witness to that.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Morning Show.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen. Prepare yourselves. Now how you do that?
- 10:06Speaker 2: I don't know. I can give you some suggestions.

- 10:19Speaker 10: brace yourself.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Act right.

- 17:57Speaker 7: I don't want to talk about your manager.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Okay. I thought you wanted to talk to the manager.

- 18:12Speaker 7: Sure?
- 18:12Speaker 6: Hey, Dominique, Yes, this is tithing.
- 18:15Speaker 7: Okay, Tommy, what's going on? Your flirker called me to

- 18:23Speaker 7: hotel too, loud, and I asked this address and he
- 18:26Speaker 7: won't give it to me. And I'm on my way
- 18:28Speaker 7: down there, and I'm about to call my husband since
- 18:31Speaker 7: he won't answer your call. And I did hear him
- 18:34Speaker 7: talking to you in the background?

- 19:29Speaker 7: Well I don't know if you be laughing, if somebody
- 19:31Speaker 7: cause you with this, but okay, I would.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Yo, you have a sister. Your sister name is Lydia.

- 20:01Speaker 7: You know Steve Harvey and that's you?
- 20:04Speaker 12: Tell me you know what?
- 20:06Speaker 10: Tummy?
- 20:07Speaker 7: You used to be my favorite, but now I'm really Steve.
- 20:10Speaker 6: You could kiss my.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Sex is too loud? That's all I want to.
- 20:22Speaker 10: Know.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Said this before, but you need down with this one.
- 20:32Speaker 12: Take out.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Loud, just bring it down some.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is asked the c l O.
- 20:45Speaker 1: With our Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building,
- 20:49Speaker 1: you're listening.
- 20:50Speaker 4: Steve Harvey Morning show time for c l O.
- 20:54Speaker 1: The Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. The cloe as the
- 20:57Speaker 1: nephew calls him. You ready, sir? I know you all right.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Lakesha in Hampton, Virginia says I'm in my late twenties
- 21:04Speaker 1: and my best friend and I bought a home together.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Her boyfriend moved to our city a month ago and
- 21:10Speaker 1: he's been staying with us. She said it would only
- 21:13Speaker 1: be for a week, but he's still here. He's chipped
- 21:16Speaker 1: in financially, and that's all fine and good, but I
- 21:19Speaker 1: don't want his money and I don't want him to
- 21:22Speaker 1: get comfortable here. I told my best friend he's got
- 21:24Speaker 1: to go, and she said it's her home too, and
- 21:27Speaker 1: it's okay for him to stay another month if he
- 21:30Speaker 1: needs to. How can I get him to leave asap?
- 21:33Speaker 1: Please advise?
- 21:35Speaker 2: Well, I don't think you can.
- 21:38Speaker 10: Because you all own the home equally, you have no
- 21:42Speaker 10: agreement that you can't have guests, overnight guests, You have
- 21:46Speaker 10: nothing in place that says how long you should have guests.
- 21:50Speaker 10: So I don't see how you can make him leave.
- 21:54Speaker 10: On another note, right, who buys a house?
- 21:59Speaker 9: Normal?
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is why you don't do things like this.
- 22:03Speaker 10: Man, This is probably the biggest purchase of your life,
- 22:07Speaker 10: and you do it not with your fiance, not with
- 22:10Speaker 10: your husband, but with your best friend and all y'all
- 22:13Speaker 10: want to have other lives.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So I mean, I don't know how you.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Can get them leave.
- 22:20Speaker 1: And her best friend Colo is correct, it's her house.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Too, right, that's the deal. So how right, it's my house.
- 22:29Speaker 6: And.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So you're not going to be able to get him
- 22:32Speaker 1: to leave until they're ready for him to go, and
- 22:36Speaker 1: he might stay forever, all right, Felicia.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Walking around nicked though, I'm just telling you start walking around.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Nicked, It helps, Felicia and Charlotte says, my husband and
- 22:48Speaker 1: I have been married for eight years, and he recently
- 22:50Speaker 1: got an suv with cameras in the head rests for
- 22:54Speaker 1: our four and six year old to watch movies when
- 22:56Speaker 1: they take road trips. Yesterday he drove me to get caught,
- 23:00Speaker 1: and as soon as he cranked up and plugged in
- 23:02Speaker 1: his phone, I heard sex sounds coming from the TVs.
- 23:06Speaker 6: God.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yes, he started fumbling to turn it off, and he
- 23:10Speaker 1: turned bright red. He said it must be a glitch
- 23:13Speaker 1: in the entertainment system. I think he had a woman
- 23:17Speaker 1: back there watching porn. Am I jumping to conclusions?
- 23:23Speaker 12: God?
- 23:24Speaker 2: He sweit a minute. But you said it was connected
- 23:26Speaker 2: to his phone.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Yeah, he plugged it. As soon as he cranked up
- 23:30Speaker 1: the car and plugged in his phone. She heard the sounds.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Well, I mean that's a bluetooth.
- 23:35Speaker 10: I think I don't know if it has anything to
- 23:39Speaker 10: do with him having a woman back there watching porn.
- 23:44Speaker 10: I'm thinking he's got pawn on his phone and the
- 23:48Speaker 10: bluetooth picked it up and ran it through the system.
- 23:52Speaker 10: I mean, you know, because unless you have that stuff
- 23:55Speaker 10: downloaded in your car somewhere, I don't see how that
- 23:58Speaker 10: can be.
- 24:00Speaker 2: The bluetooth is what comes in to play to me.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I mean, this is terrible because what if the kids
- 24:08Speaker 1: were with them? You know what I'm saying.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I know that, but I mean, yeah,
- 24:13Speaker 2: the cold thing is suppose this was a video on.
- 24:17Speaker 1: It, right exactly?
- 24:19Speaker 2: See, I don't know, I don't know. She's a little slow.
- 24:22Speaker 10: Let me talk about was he sitting in the back
- 24:24Speaker 10: seat watching porn with another woman?
- 24:26Speaker 1: With another woman?
- 24:27Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 24:28Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he could be there back there watching it by
- 24:31Speaker 1: himself or I mean it didn't have to.
- 24:34Speaker 10: Be sure, but to get on the headsets, to get
- 24:37Speaker 10: on the headsets in the car has to come from somewhere.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So if he was fumbling with his phone,
- 24:44Speaker 2: it was the bluetooth on his phone.
- 24:48Speaker 1: All right, So there you have it.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Man, what's my name? What's my name?
- 24:53Speaker 1: Anastasia and Seattle says, we're moving on I'm a thirty
- 24:57Speaker 1: year old married woman, and I love my my husband,
- 25:00Speaker 1: but I fantasize about his handsome brother. He's forty, with
- 25:04Speaker 1: a six pack of carved out back and muscular thighs.
- 25:07Speaker 1: And when my husband and I are intimate, I'm imagining
- 25:10Speaker 1: myself and his brother's big old chocolate arms. I've even
- 25:15Speaker 1: mumbled his brother's name under my breath once during sex.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I watch his workout videos online and I get all tingly.
- 25:23Speaker 1: This all started a few weeks ago. Do you think
- 25:25Speaker 1: it's just a phase or should I seek counseling? Please
- 25:28Speaker 1: help me?
- 25:29Speaker 2: What do you want us to do? Is it just
- 25:31Speaker 2: a phase? Or do I need counseling?
- 25:34Speaker 10: You need to quit wanting your brother's your husband's brother lusty?
- 25:38Speaker 10: You know hell, Stop watching his damn videos. You shutting

- 25:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, this is something you can control for sure.
- 25:55Speaker 1: You're right?

- 52:15Speaker 15: All right, ladies and gentlemen, It's time for the Strawberry
- 52:18Speaker 15: Letter with my good friend, Shirley straw Berry.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Thank you my good friend Junior. Subject one of my
- 52:23Speaker 1: homies is my side piece. Dear Stephen, Shirley. I'm a
- 52:28Speaker 1: thirty two year old single man, and I started a
- 52:31Speaker 1: sexual relationship with a female that hangs out with me
- 52:35Speaker 1: and my boys. She's like one of the boys, and
- 52:37Speaker 1: we party together, work out together, and she travels with
- 52:40Speaker 1: us on our annual guys trips. She is a good
- 52:44Speaker 1: friend and we respect her and her sexual preference. We've
- 52:48Speaker 1: never talked about her love life, but I assume she
- 52:51Speaker 1: never dated a man before. We've been friends since middle school,
- 52:55Speaker 1: and she has always been a pretty girl. She's tall,
- 52:59Speaker 1: with nice legs, a six pack, and pretty feet. She's
- 53:04Speaker 1: a woman by all means, but she hangs out with
- 53:07Speaker 1: all of us dudes. Four months ago, we all went
- 53:10Speaker 1: to a strip club and we were popping bottles in
- 53:12Speaker 1: our VIP section all night. I was a little more
- 53:16Speaker 1: intoxicated than she was, so she was my designated driver
- 53:20Speaker 1: for the night. She crashed on my couch like she's
- 53:23Speaker 1: done so many of the times before. I went to bed,
- 53:27Speaker 1: but in my drunken state, I could not stop thinking
- 53:30Speaker 1: about how pretty she was lying on my couch, and
- 53:33Speaker 1: I imagined how soft her big breaths were.
- 53:37Speaker 6: What.
- 53:38Speaker 1: I got up and offered her my bed. She said
- 53:42Speaker 1: she would come to my bed only if I stayed
- 53:46Speaker 1: in it. Two she got up and started taking her
- 53:49Speaker 1: clothes off and walked into my bedroom. The rest is history.
- 53:54Speaker 1: I wanted to be sure we did not have sex
- 53:57Speaker 1: just because we were drunk, so I tried it again
- 54:00Speaker 1: the next morning, and she was with it. We have
- 54:04Speaker 1: been secretly having sex for three months because she has
- 54:08Speaker 1: a girlfriend and we're not sure how our other friends
- 54:11Speaker 1: will react. I don't want her. I don't want to
- 54:15Speaker 1: be her secret side piece anymore. Should I have a
- 54:18Speaker 1: talk with her and see where she stands on dating
- 54:20Speaker 1: a man, or control my feelings and enjoy the great sex?
- 54:27Speaker 2: Wow?
- 54:28Speaker 1: The great sex? He said, Hmm, okay, I think you
- 54:34Speaker 1: know you like her way more. Than a friend. Now,
- 54:39Speaker 1: otherwise you wouldn't care if she remained a secret or not.
- 54:42Speaker 1: You know, for this reason, you've got to talk to her,
- 54:46Speaker 1: and if she feels the same way, she's going to
- 54:49Speaker 1: have to tell her girlfriend at some point. What's hard
- 54:52Speaker 1: to believe is that for three months, you guys haven't
- 54:55Speaker 1: talked about it at all, Not at all. I mean
- 54:58Speaker 1: that could mean two things. Either she likes things status
- 55:02Speaker 1: quo or she's waiting for you to make the first move. You,
- 55:06Speaker 1: on the other hand, don't want to cut off the
- 55:08Speaker 1: great sex by saying anything that could rock the boat.
- 55:12Speaker 1: You don't want to be the secret side piece anymore,
- 55:14Speaker 1: you say, But you're making the sacrifice for the great sex. Okay,
- 55:19Speaker 1: but it's time.
- 55:20Speaker 4: It is time.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Now, it's been three months or ninety days, and you
- 55:24Speaker 1: know how we feel about ninety days around here. Steve
- 55:27Speaker 1: taught us all about the ninety day rule. Okay, so
- 55:33Speaker 1: again I say it's time. It's risky, you know, but
- 55:38Speaker 1: if you really want her, go ahead and shoot your shot.
- 55:41Speaker 1: I mean, you got to jump in the deep end.
- 55:43Speaker 1: That's the only way you're going to find out how
- 55:46Speaker 1: she really feels about you. Is it more than a
- 55:49Speaker 1: secret side piece, and what is it going to be
- 55:52Speaker 1: after that? Steve, of course, let's go.
- 55:58Speaker 10: Thirty two year old dude got to this woman that's
- 56:00Speaker 10: been one of the guys for so long ago on
- 56:02Speaker 10: all the guy trips, hang out with the dudes, they
- 56:05Speaker 10: go to strip club, they get drunk, she's the designated driver.
- 56:09Speaker 10: They drive home and next thing you know, he's laying
- 56:14Speaker 10: in bed drunk thinking about her breast. And so he
- 56:19Speaker 10: gets up and she's sleeping on the couch like she's
- 56:22Speaker 10: done many times.
- 56:24Speaker 2: He offers her the bed.
- 56:29Speaker 10: She said she'd take the bed only if he stayed
- 56:37Speaker 10: in it. This is all we need to know, and
- 56:42Speaker 10: this is all he was hoping for. Now he was
- 56:46Speaker 10: laying at couldn't stop thinking about how pretty she was
- 56:49Speaker 10: laying on the couch. She's an attractive girl. Now remember
- 56:52Speaker 10: now she gets tall, she got nice legs, six pack,
- 56:56Speaker 10: pretty feet, I got your dog. I'm here, I'm here, tall, pretty,
- 57:05Speaker 10: nice feet, six pack. You could just be tall and
- 57:09Speaker 10: pretty with the feet. You don't really need a six
- 57:12Speaker 10: pack for me because wall hell, I don't help.
- 57:18Speaker 2: I've learned in my life. I've learned in my life.
- 57:22Speaker 10: You know, they don't need to ask them somebody to
- 57:24Speaker 10: do something you ain't gonna do, you know, So here
- 57:28Speaker 10: we go. Now, she started taking her clothes off and
- 57:35Speaker 10: walked into your bedroom, and the rest is history. I
- 57:40Speaker 10: wanted to make sure we did not have sex just
- 57:43Speaker 10: because we was drunk, so I tried it again the
- 57:46Speaker 10: next morning, and Lord have mercy, she was with it. Yeah,
- 57:53Speaker 10: we have been secretly having sex for three months because
- 58:04Speaker 10: she has a girlfriend, and we're not sure how our.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Other friends will react. So Shirley right there. They have
- 58:14Speaker 2: discussed it to a degree.
- 58:17Speaker 10: Yes, how the other friends will react if they knew it. Now,
- 58:23Speaker 10: the problem we got now is he wants more. And
- 58:26Speaker 10: when we come back, I'm gonna tell you what your
- 58:29Speaker 10: options are.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Dog.
- 58:30Speaker 4: All right, thank you, Steve.
- 58:32Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 58:35Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject of today's letter,
- 58:39Speaker 1: one of my homies is my side piece. We'll get
- 58:41Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy
- 58:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 58:49Speaker 1: strawberry letter. Subject one of my homies is my side piece.
- 58:53Speaker 10: Well, this guy's been friends with this girl for a
- 58:57Speaker 10: number of years since middle school. She's very pretty, tall,
- 59:00Speaker 10: nice legs, six packs, pretty feet, But she has relationship
- 59:06Speaker 10: she assumes with just women, and so she's days. But
- 59:09Speaker 10: she's best been one of the guys traveling with him. Well,
- 59:12Speaker 10: they all went to a strip club one time, they
- 59:14Speaker 10: popping bottles in the VIP section.
- 59:16Speaker 2: He went upstairs to bed.
- 59:18Speaker 10: She slept on the couch like she has done many times,
- 59:21Speaker 10: but in this drunken state, he claims, he could not
- 59:24Speaker 10: stop thinking of how pretty she was laying on the
- 59:27Speaker 10: couch and was imagining.
- 59:29Speaker 2: What her big, pretty breast would be like.
- 59:33Speaker 10: Well, out on, you can't just lay it ass she downstairs,
- 59:37Speaker 10: So he got up, went downstairs and offered her the bed.
- 59:42Speaker 2: She said she would take the bed only if he
- 59:45Speaker 2: stayed in it. Lord Lord her Merson let the church
- 59:55Speaker 2: say a man hallelujah, glow red.
- 59:58Speaker 10: And so she takes her clothes and she walks into
- 1:00:03Speaker 10: the bedroom. I can only imagine what he's thinking, Oh,
- 1:00:08Speaker 10: my lord, And they did it so to make sure
- 1:00:12Speaker 10: that they wasn't because they was drunk.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: He tried it again the next morning. She was with
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: it again.
- 1:00:19Speaker 10: Now they've been secretly having sex for three months now
- 1:00:21Speaker 10: because she has a girlfriend and we're not sure how
- 1:00:25Speaker 10: other friends will react, which I'm telling you now means
- 1:00:28Speaker 10: that they've discussed what they would think if the other
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: friends found out. Now Here dude's problem. I don't want
- 1:00:37Speaker 10: to be her secret side piece anymore. That's going on
- 1:00:42Speaker 10: the past three months been good? Yell this side he's saying,
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: ain't working for me no more. Man, we need to
- 1:00:51Speaker 10: go public.
- 1:00:53Speaker 12: Now.
- 1:00:53Speaker 10: Should I have a talk with her and see where
- 1:00:56Speaker 10: she stands on dating a man or control my feelings
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: and enjoy the great sex?
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Well, here we go. I'm glad you called me.
- 1:01:06Speaker 10: See, as far as I'm concerned with that proposal that
- 1:01:09Speaker 10: you're putting forward, you have absolutely nothing to lose. Let's
- 1:01:14Speaker 10: say you ask her how she feels. The only thing
- 1:01:18Speaker 10: you have to be prepared for is for the answer.
- 1:01:23Speaker 10: So you want to go to her and say you
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: want to see if you want to have to talk
- 1:01:26Speaker 10: to her and see where she stands on dating a
- 1:01:28Speaker 10: man or control your feelings and enjoy the great sex.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Now supposed she says she prefers women.
- 1:01:36Speaker 10: What you have to be prepared for that, yep, Because
- 1:01:39Speaker 10: she may say I prefer women, which puts you right
- 1:01:43Speaker 10: back where you at now. She gonna keep her girl
- 1:01:46Speaker 10: for any of y'all just gonna have great sex. Tada,
- 1:01:50Speaker 10: there's a magic show. Everybody gets somebody this. You reach
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: in the hat, you get a rabbit. You reach in
- 1:01:58Speaker 10: the hat, you get a rabbit.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: You get a rabbit.
- 1:02:01Speaker 10: Everybody get a damn rabbit out of this trick. So
- 1:02:05Speaker 10: now I don't see what the problem is. And she
- 1:02:08Speaker 10: may just want you to remain on the side, which
- 1:02:12Speaker 10: again makes you the side peace.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: But you want more. And now the part that you
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: didn't mention.
- 1:02:20Speaker 10: And if I was you, I wouldn't worry about how
- 1:02:25Speaker 10: your friends would react, cause.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: I got news for you. I promise you, I'll give
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: you my word. All of them then thought the same
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: thingt it.
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: Every last one of them know she got nice legs,
- 1:02:36Speaker 10: pretty feet, six packs, she pretty All of them know
- 1:02:40Speaker 10: that they just been trying to play the game, because
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: y'all thirty two, y'all young, I'd have been an ass
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: or something.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Long time ago. Hey, I know how you roll, but we,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I mean, were good with that.
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: I'm gonna share something with you Alla, way back my
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: early thirties, m h, I've been in love with four
- 1:03:08Speaker 10: people who had other who were you know, females who
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: like females, and probably four.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: And well, it's no big deal. It ain't really nothing.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: I just you know.
- 1:03:26Speaker 10: They asked me how I felt about it, and I
- 1:03:28Speaker 10: told them that I was a lesbian two that I
- 1:03:32Speaker 10: preferred other women myself, and that's how I wu try
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: to get around it.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: It didn't work.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: They laughed.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: They thought it was a very cute joke, but.
- 1:03:44Speaker 10: But I was so dead serious, and I told them
- 1:03:48Speaker 10: they could refer to me that way if they wanted to, So,
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: you know, it didn't work out.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: They were gorgeous.
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: One of them had girlfriend who was more masculine, and
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: she approached me one time and said she don't appreciate that,
- 1:04:08Speaker 10: and if I don't step off, she's gonna do something
- 1:04:10Speaker 10: to me. And well she looked like she could whoop
- 1:04:14Speaker 10: my ass, so I said, okay, I stepped off. Okay,
- 1:04:21Speaker 10: it didn't look like I was gonna be able whoop puss,
- 1:04:23Speaker 10: so I stepped off.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: You know, I mean, why we ain't got to fight
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: over this here? I ain't that fighting. Well, it was
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: not gonna be a fight right here because it didn't
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: look like.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: A win for me.
- 1:04:38Speaker 10: Because if she say, leave it like it is then
- 1:04:40Speaker 10: we right back where we had. He ain't worried about that.
- 1:04:43Speaker 10: He will he don't want to be the side peace,
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: no motion.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: All right, take us out. Thank you.
- 1:04:47Speaker 10: Steve.

- 1:06:45Speaker 14: Think you're the daddy. What they don't understand is you're
- 1:06:48Speaker 14: the granddaddy, not the daddy. The granddaddy. Some of those problems,
- 1:06:56Speaker 14: this is personal. Some of those problems need to go
- 1:06:59Speaker 14: to the.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: Dadaddy, not the granddaddy.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Okay, you need to go right to the daddy. Okay,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: this is a chapter.
- 1:07:07Speaker 14: If you my book, my new book calls sometimes ken
- 1:07:10Speaker 14: foke said with a damn, or you can use the

- 1:08:04Speaker 1: To be a bestseller. Love You're listening, Morning Show. A
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: new study from what is this Screeven's Hearing Care Okay.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: They looked at two thousand adults, Okay, two thousand grown people.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Research shows that at least seven times a week, men
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: have selective hearing in all. In all, men don't hear
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: their spouse three hundred and eighty eight times in the
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: course of a year. Women are going to though. That's
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: a lot, right, that's a lot. Three hundred and eighty
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: eight times in the.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Course of a year. That's low.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: That's low, sting.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Average.
- 1:08:58Speaker 10: Well right now, you're only talking a little over wals
- 1:09:00Speaker 10: a day. That's the average of wals a day. Oh okay, okay,
- 1:09:05Speaker 10: so that a Yes, that's not so bad.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: That's not so bad.
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: No, I tuned it away. You got to tune it
- 1:09:11Speaker 10: using the same thing. Yeah, what is y'all talking?
- 1:09:16Speaker 12: Listen?
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: Wait?
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: Wait what?
- 1:09:17Speaker 12: Man?
- 1:09:18Speaker 10: We just talked about that for fifteen minutes, two hours.
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: You make the same twenty minute point for two hours and.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Wake up the next morning. Were still talking about that?
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: Man?
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Move on.
- 1:09:31Speaker 8: God.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: But yeah, I'm hearing you, but I ain't listening no more.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Damn you what I said about letting it out at
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the job?
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: Why are we still talking about Linda nerd ladies? But
- 1:09:49Speaker 10: that's that thing right there, that's true. Yeah, we do
- 1:09:52Speaker 10: have selective here.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: So but it sounds like you guys are responsing to nagging.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: That's a difference, right, No, is it all? Is it
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: all the same to you?
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: No?
- 1:10:04Speaker 10: You know, because if you're talking, if you're talking too much,
- 1:10:08Speaker 10: mm hmm. I'm just saying, which is often so.
- 1:10:12Speaker 15: It could be about anything, just the sound of my
- 1:10:16Speaker 15: voice that you just start tuning out after a while.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Tell me that's for your teeth.
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: What is? Well, you know what?
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: That's okay, Carl. You're puffing and puffing about.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Because you're talking about the same thing what I'm.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Asking you about this survey though you're not answering.
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: No, I'm talking about this period. You're talking about the
- 1:10:40Speaker 10: same thing. And then I can tell it's bothering you
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: because I look on Facebook. Now you're posting stuff that
- 1:10:45Speaker 10: it jo and.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: Boding over the social media.
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: On social media, now you're getting thirty thousand eight men's
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: on the damn what what let it?
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: I think I think it is a problem, and I
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: think women could admit to this one.
- 1:11:05Speaker 10: Because yes, men do have selective hearing, and we've had
- 1:11:09Speaker 10: developed that over the course of time because we've and
- 1:11:13Speaker 10: more and more, we've developed.
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: More and more selective hearing.
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: Because if there's a slight difference in us, women vent
- 1:11:21Speaker 10: differently than men, and when women around each other talking
- 1:11:25Speaker 10: to their girlfriends, you all have more of a tendency
- 1:11:28Speaker 10: to talk about a subject from every angle you turn
- 1:11:32Speaker 10: it over, you all can discuss one subject for hours.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: Men don't do that.
- 1:11:38Speaker 10: We have a debate, somebody wins, loses, We have a
- 1:11:42Speaker 10: strong debate, then we laugh or we fight, and then
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: it's over. You all keep talking about it. And once
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: a man has made all the points, he can make
- 1:11:51Speaker 10: your point. Is it relevant at this point? Because we've
- 1:11:54Speaker 10: heard it already. We don't agree with it, So we
- 1:11:56Speaker 10: shut you out, and we all every every man do that.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, we can her face and not be hearing nothing.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: You saying, wait what see?
- 1:12:09Speaker 10: I can look dead in your face and not be
- 1:12:12Speaker 10: hearing nothing. You saying, be looking dad at your mouth?
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Are you listening? Are you listening to me?
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: The girl?
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: You know?
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Did you hear what I just said?
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Schedule that will schedule a hunt? How many times Marjorie
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: that looked at me and said, Steve, what did I
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: just say?
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: What?
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Did repeat.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: What you heard?
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: You?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Women are guilty too. They don't listen.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: You're trying to think about what the hell is she.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: S three thirty nine times a year.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Oh, we do it too.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: We tune you all out all right, coming up, music
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: and fun on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll be
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: back at twenty minutes. After the hour right after this
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you're listening Hard Morning show. So scientists say it takes
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: about twenty one days or twenty one days exactly to
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: build a habit. So if you're planning to make a
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: New Year's resolution for next year and stick to it,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: you should start your resolution now, that's what the scientists
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: are saying. Then by the beginning of the new year,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: you will already be in the new habit. You know,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: have that new habit, It'll be underway, and you'll be
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: more likely to keep it. That's why I guess that's
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: why a lot of people drop off after they make
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: those resolutions. They don't keep them because they're not in
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the habit of doing it. So start now, according to scientists. So, Steve,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: have you thought about your New Year's resolutions? Are you
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: making it for next year?
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: I stopped doing them years ago because you didn't.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: You didn't stick to them. Is that why you stopped?
- 1:13:46Speaker 10: No, I just decided whenever I'm gonna do something, I'm
- 1:13:48Speaker 10: gonna do it now. I went to New York a
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: New Year to do nothing. Okay, Now I got to
- 1:13:52Speaker 10: get healthy. I got to get healthy now. I ain't
- 1:13:53Speaker 10: got no die.
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: So you're kind of in keeping with what the scientists
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: are saying.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Then, well, I don't No, he has no science.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I know he's not a scientist.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: I have trouble spelling it real scientists though, S C
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: I E N T I S T.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yay, good, very good.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Don't don't ask me to spell nothing that's got to
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: do with science. You just got the subject. I'm good. Yeah,
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: don't worry about nothing. Symbols and stuff they got.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: On the periodic table.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Asked me to.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: Remember coming up, we'll play around him. Would you rather
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour, that's right after
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: this you're listening hardy morning show time for Would you
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: rather guys another round?
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: Here we go?
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Would you rather go to church naked or babysit ten
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: children under the age of two?
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you're raping. I got.
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: Both serving nigga, both services.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Quote scriptures, niggad. I came in this world of nigga.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: I shall leave it.
- 1:15:13Speaker 14: Yeah, just working out. People say, well that didn't happened,
- 1:15:17Speaker 14: and I'm at the next service. They'll see it themselves.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:21Speaker 10: You know when a man came in here at eight o'clock, Well,
- 1:15:27Speaker 10: I got niggas for he was at eleven two.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: No, I would know.
- 1:15:32Speaker 10: I'm gonna take care of them kids. Yeah, but you
- 1:15:35Speaker 10: ain't gonna do You ain't gonna do that to me.
- 1:15:37Speaker 10: But one time, everybody's not gonna be cared for.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Are you a babysitting grandfather, Steve?
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: You yeah, man, yeah, yeah. They always make sure somebody
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: at the house with me though, somebody watching, somebody watching you.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: No, I'm not like your granddaddy.
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: They always make sure some other people in the house
- 1:15:59Speaker 10: with me already know, you know. And then my grandkids
- 1:16:04Speaker 10: don't like when our babysit them because when they come
- 1:16:06Speaker 10: in my office, them to stay in my office, and
- 1:16:08Speaker 10: they don't like my TV selection.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: But I had them in there the other day and
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: we were watching forty eight hours.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: You had grandchildren watching eight hours of murder and.
- 1:16:21Speaker 10: It was it was a good episode too, so we
- 1:16:23Speaker 10: was not turning it and just sit here and learn
- 1:16:25Speaker 10: your ass something.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: Now, if you do wrong, you don't ask.
- 1:16:29Speaker 10: To be in this room interrogating with this in this
- 1:16:31Speaker 10: fifty eight degree weather, in this room that's fifty eight
- 1:16:34Speaker 10: degrees getting talked to by these white people.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: And you don't want that. That shut up.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Oh, it's like a scared straight yeah straight, yeah, all right,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:16:45Speaker 14: Baby, because when you hide, you see more kids than
- 1:16:47Speaker 14: you actually have. So that's why I don't babyshit sixteen kids.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Moving on?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Would you rather tell the truth for a full week?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Just tell the truth, no lies, no lies, be sure, okay,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: or sleep in a coffin for a full week.
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: I can sleep in the coffee I'm not. I got wife.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: I've done that.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: Truth.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh yeah, oh yeah, I had an ex wife.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: I've done that before. You do that, I've been before.

- 1:17:55Speaker 1: after this.
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: You're listening Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:18:09Speaker 2: I'm just thinking he did our best, you know. Yeah.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: We always do try to entertain, but I achieve that.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Yeah. We try to get people to work in a
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: good mood.
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:18:20Speaker 10: I mean, I've been cute all morning. Y'all been ugly
- 1:18:22Speaker 10: all morning, you know you and Junior. That's where it is,
- 1:18:24Speaker 10: bab See how that sounds. How nobody bag back? These
- 1:18:29Speaker 10: girls don't bag me up, they bag you up. I'm
- 1:18:31Speaker 10: just I'm cool with that.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: It's cool.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Well, I mean, I'll say this. You have to have
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: confidence in yourself.
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: I have it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you have to love yourself, Thank you so much.
- 1:18:39Speaker 10: A lot of other people got confident, right, Dennis Robin
- 1:18:42Speaker 10: got confidence of it.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: You are not going to do that to me right there.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: You just did that to me saying I ain't saying
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: you look like that, but very far from if you
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: put if you put a hoop in your limp and
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: two rings in your notes buying to see it, I
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: could see if you put who live in two rains
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: and you start crying you're cute? Twins, I don't jump in.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: Oh hold up, that's all it is called the little
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: pity part. I'm nothing doing that.
- 1:19:30Speaker 12: No, you know you do.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I don't say that.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: I know you're c whatever. We know we are on
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: the show.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: You're cute.
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: Tommy know he and Tommy know this ain't true. Juniors
- 1:19:44Speaker 10: why you don't want you all to keep calling your you're.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Que too, and see if you're rich. We know these things.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: This is what we know.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: So yeah, that trumps all everything I would prefer. Yeah,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: trumps everything we know.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: I think I appreciate my mama. Shein't lie to me,
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: she says, Sit down, boy, I knew it. She was
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: trying to build your spirits confidence. I had to worry
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: about that.
- 1:20:14Speaker 10: No more.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Could take us home with some inspiring after this closing remarks.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: If you won't, you know, let me just do something
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: really short and really helpful.
- 1:20:29Speaker 10: You know, I've been saying a scripture for a long
- 1:20:32Speaker 10: time in some of my motivational speeches that one of
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: the most important scriptures I've ever read is one of
- 1:20:39Speaker 10: the shortest ones too, and it has really helped me
- 1:20:43Speaker 10: in my life, in my walk, in my career, in
- 1:20:46Speaker 10: my ups, in my downs. And that scripture is you
- 1:20:51Speaker 10: have not cause you asked. Now Now, I just found
- 1:20:57Speaker 10: out where that was in the Bible this week, did
- 1:21:04Speaker 10: you hear me? I've been saying this scripture for years,
- 1:21:08Speaker 10: but I just found out where it was in the
- 1:21:11Speaker 10: Bible this week. You have not because you asked, noting
- 1:21:17Speaker 10: it's actually James four and two. Now, the way I
- 1:21:23Speaker 10: found it was I was reading a scripture that changed
- 1:21:29Speaker 10: my life when I was on the boat this year,
- 1:21:33Speaker 10: and the scripture was actually James four and three. And
- 1:21:37Speaker 10: what it said was it says you ask and you receive,
- 1:21:41Speaker 10: not because you ask a miss And so I was
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: just reading that because I got it from.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: This journal James four and three. And what that meant
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: was that.
- 1:21:55Speaker 10: Sometimes you ask and you don't receive what you asked
- 1:21:59Speaker 10: because you you ask a miss, which means you ask
- 1:22:02Speaker 10: with the wrong motivation. And God oftentimes wasn't answering my
- 1:22:08Speaker 10: prayer because my motivation for what I was praying for
- 1:22:13Speaker 10: was wrong. It wasn't that what I was praying for
- 1:22:16Speaker 10: was wrong, but the reason I wanted to happen was wrong.
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: And it speaks in James.
- 1:22:21Speaker 10: Four and three about your worldly lust of flesh and
- 1:22:25Speaker 10: fleshley things, but it wasn't learned lust enoughter fleshy things
- 1:22:30Speaker 10: doesn't necessarily mean somebody. It just could mean you know,
- 1:22:36Speaker 10: stuff to appease your fleshley being, your money, so you
- 1:22:41Speaker 10: can flex on somebody, so you can prove it wrong,
- 1:22:45Speaker 10: so you can shake it in their face. That's what
- 1:22:48Speaker 10: it means when it says you ask and you receive
- 1:22:52Speaker 10: not because you ask a miss or for the wrong reason. Well,
- 1:22:57Speaker 10: the other day I was doing my journal review and
- 1:23:01Speaker 10: I read that, and so I was opening up to
- 1:23:04Speaker 10: James four and three, and lo and behold, I read
- 1:23:07Speaker 10: James four and two, which says you have not cause
- 1:23:11Speaker 10: you asked not.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: It was the scripture right in front of it. It
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: blew my mind. So really, he laid it all out
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: there for me.
- 1:23:19Speaker 10: He says, you have not because you asked not, and
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: you ask and you receive not because you asked for
- 1:23:27Speaker 10: the wrong reason.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: Man, y'all, I can't tell you how that flipped a
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: switch in my head.
- 1:23:34Speaker 10: So, if you're out there and you've been asking God
- 1:23:37Speaker 10: for something and you can't seem to get it to
- 1:23:40Speaker 10: go your way, check your motivation for why you really
- 1:23:44Speaker 10: want it to happen. And if you check your motivation,
- 1:23:47Speaker 10: then you'll find out that you want it for some
- 1:23:50Speaker 10: other reasons other than the right reasons. All you have
- 1:23:54Speaker 10: to do is adjust your motivation for what you're asking for.
- 1:23:58Speaker 10: Change your motivation, ask for forgiveness, and ask for the
- 1:24:03Speaker 10: blessing that you ask him for for the right reasons,
- 1:24:05Speaker 10: because there's some good that you could do with this
- 1:24:07Speaker 10: thing that you ask of God for that you haven't
- 1:24:09Speaker 10: been getting because you've been asking for the wrong reason.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: James four and two and James four and four, those
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: are my close remarks. I hope that helps you away
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: and help me.
