- 0:03Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know y'all back
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit on, looking back the back down, giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: more like the milling buck things in its tubbs. Good it,
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve har listen to the mogether for study. I don't
- 0:38Speaker 1: join join me, be doing me. Honey. You gotta turn
- 1:22Speaker 1: you are you gotta turn to turn turn, You got
- 1:43Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water. The water
- 1:47Speaker 1: got me. Come come on your back that I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey, man old man,
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, I do. God so big
- 2:13Speaker 1: to me, man, I just have to tell you about it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I can't help it. It's rather obvious to me how big,
- 2:21Speaker 1: how good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain.
- 2:27Speaker 1: He on one, he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out. Man.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I'm just over here, just on receiving it. You know, man,
- 2:38Speaker 1: I want to share something with you today. You know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:46Speaker 1: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:52Speaker 1: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 3:01Speaker 1: to begin what we want? Our hopes, our dreams, our desires.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Why won't you start your mission today? Why don't we
- 3:10Speaker 1: all decide together better? Yet? Let's just kill that, consume
- 3:16Speaker 1: that just individually. Look, you're listening. You got something that
- 3:20Speaker 1: you've been dreaming about. You got an ambition of yours
- 3:23Speaker 1: that's not yet fulfilled. You got goals you haven't accomplished yet.
- 3:27Speaker 1: You got dreams, aspirations. Everybody has them. Everybody's got them.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Everybody's got something that's that's on the table that they
- 3:36Speaker 1: haven't yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start
- 3:40Speaker 1: your mission today? Stop the procrastination now. The procrastination is
- 3:46Speaker 1: only hurting you yourself. And if you and if you
- 3:50Speaker 1: allow pratical excuse men, if you allow procrastination to set in,
- 3:55Speaker 1: then that that allows then which is a weakness, you know,
- 4:00Speaker 1: but that allows the devil then to just really do
- 4:03Speaker 1: his thing. Because an idle mind is the devil's playground.
- 4:07Speaker 1: So if you ain't working on your goal's, dreams, aspirations
- 4:10Speaker 1: or visions, you're just waking up seeing how today gonna go?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Or the devil he got plenty for you to do. See.
- 4:17Speaker 1: But if you get your mind right on your goal
- 4:20Speaker 1: and your focus and your purpose. Then you can go
- 4:22Speaker 1: on about your business. Then when the distraction comes, you
- 4:25Speaker 1: can catch yourself. Now, don't mean you ain't gonna fall
- 4:28Speaker 1: privy or fall prey to some of your distractions, because
- 4:31Speaker 1: you will, but you will have a goal in mind,
- 4:34Speaker 1: an aspiration that makes you go hold on, man, I
- 4:37Speaker 1: got to stay focused here. Of course, what I really
- 4:39Speaker 1: want while I'm really trying to go the thing that
- 4:42Speaker 1: I'm really after, this new little thing that's being introduced,
- 4:47Speaker 1: this don't fit into the equation. Man. Let me keep
- 4:50Speaker 1: it moving, or you may step off the line for
- 4:52Speaker 1: a little while, you know. Like I said yesterday, the
- 4:55Speaker 1: thing about God is he's so forgiving that if you
- 4:57Speaker 1: get out of line, he'll hold your place. See that's
- 5:00Speaker 1: the real cool thing. A lot of people to do
- 5:02Speaker 1: that for you too. Like I said, if you're at
- 5:03Speaker 1: the movie theater or you're an amusement park and you're
- 5:05Speaker 1: in the line and you forget something, if you politely
- 5:08Speaker 1: ask the person behind you, hey, man, I gotta run
- 5:10Speaker 1: to my car left something, would you hold my place?
- 5:13Speaker 1: Most people say, fine, you gotta go ahead, and when
- 5:15Speaker 1: you come back, they don't have a problem. See. Your
- 5:17Speaker 1: problem is is you want to get out the line,
- 5:19Speaker 1: go do something, then come back and just get up
- 5:22Speaker 1: in the line further up than you were, or cut somebody.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Now you got a problem because see everybody looking at
- 5:27Speaker 1: you now, like Roy Wall partner, where you come from.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You know the line start back here. But see the
- 5:33Speaker 1: thing with God is God don't do that. God don't
- 5:35Speaker 1: say the line start back here. God holds your place.
- 5:39Speaker 1: When you make a mistake and you fall off the line,
- 5:42Speaker 1: God holds your place. But if you ain't got no dreams, aspiration,
- 5:46Speaker 1: if you ain't got no place, what he holding for you? See,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I mean he got a place for you, but you
- 5:52Speaker 1: gotta come to him. See some people if well, here's
- 5:56Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If you got a goal or aspiration,
- 5:59Speaker 1: a dream, and you fall off track momentarily, you can
- 6:03Speaker 1: get back to that because God knows where you're left off.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Now you may have to accomplish a few more things
- 6:10Speaker 1: since you stop for a long period of time, but
- 6:12Speaker 1: God know where you left off. You can get back
- 6:14Speaker 1: on track. I look, man, this dream of being on
- 6:17Speaker 1: TV since I was a kid, and it got off track.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Now it got off track. I just kept it as
- 6:24Speaker 1: one of the dreams and in some real dog moments
- 6:27Speaker 1: when it looked like it wasn't gonna happen. All I
- 6:31Speaker 1: was hanging on too, was just the hope that one
- 6:33Speaker 1: day it could. But that's what faith is really about.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But faith gives you the confidence to keep hoping. Man.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Sometimes it just keep hope alive. Sometimes you heard Jesse
- 6:49Speaker 1: Jackson said, just keep hope alive. Sometimes, man, it's just
- 6:52Speaker 1: the hope. I was hanging on a hope. And I'm
- 6:57Speaker 1: talking about when it got real ugly and okay out
- 7:00Speaker 1: there for me, when it looked like I wasn't gonna
- 7:02Speaker 1: ever make it, and all of the facts was in
- 7:06Speaker 1: and everything pointed in the direction you're not gonna make it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: You didn't really messed up this time. Then I sat
- 7:13Speaker 1: there and I just hung on to the hope. But man,
- 7:17Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. If you got a dream on
- 7:20Speaker 1: aspiration of vision or something, when you fall off track
- 7:24Speaker 1: and you want to go get back in line, God
- 7:27Speaker 1: holds your place. See. He held on to that for me.
- 7:31Speaker 1: He knew I was off tracking how the line, but
- 7:33Speaker 1: he said, okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 7:36Speaker 1: be on TV that when you get it together and
- 7:38Speaker 1: you quit tripping and you come in your turn to me,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna hold your place, put you back in line,
- 7:42Speaker 1: then we're gonna finish your journey. That took me a
- 7:44Speaker 1: lot longer to get here than I wanted to, but
- 7:47Speaker 1: then it was necessary because I needed all of the
- 7:50Speaker 1: mishaps to happen to me along the way. So when
- 7:52Speaker 1: I got on the radio one day, which I did
- 7:54Speaker 1: not see coming, Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all.
- 7:57Speaker 1: That's why I said every day. See because of this
- 8:00Speaker 1: radio show that I didn't see coming. Now I have
- 8:03Speaker 1: stories to tell, I got experiences to share, and I
- 8:08Speaker 1: can tell you about me better than I can tell
- 8:09Speaker 1: you about anybody. And I haven't been through enough whereas relatable,
- 8:14Speaker 1: where enough people can go. Man, that happened to me.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Appreciate you saying that that's what it was for. See,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I get it now. See at the time, though I
- 8:22Speaker 1: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 8:28Speaker 1: lot of stuff he was pulling off on me. But
- 8:31Speaker 1: in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 8:34Speaker 1: But through his grace and mercy. He kept me through
- 8:36Speaker 1: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 8:41Speaker 1: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 8:46Speaker 1: there indeed wrong. He forgave me. He said, because man,
- 8:50Speaker 1: if you ever come to me, I have a plan
- 8:54Speaker 1: for you that it is going to be far and above.
- 8:57Speaker 1: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed up. That's what
- 9:01Speaker 1: I did. I just got sick on me, good and
- 9:05Speaker 1: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And then God started working and here I am today.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Now see threw it me yet? Nope? Have I arrived yet? Nope?
- 9:17Speaker 1: But guess what the journey is cool? And then you
- 9:22Speaker 1: know what I found out. That's kind of what it's
- 9:24Speaker 1: like in life. If you don't walked off the cliff
- 9:27Speaker 1: in life and you ain't got no God in your life,
- 9:31Speaker 1: it's like not having a parachute. You step off the
- 9:35Speaker 1: cliff and you just free falling. Now see we all
- 9:39Speaker 1: now that fall gets you closer to the grave, right, See,
- 9:42Speaker 1: we all heading to the grave from the moment we're born.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But the cool thing about a relationship with God is
- 9:47Speaker 1: when you step off the cliff and you got God
- 9:50Speaker 1: here a parachute. You're still going down, but it's a
- 9:54Speaker 1: nice ride. You guide, and you're glad, and you're softly,
- 9:58Speaker 1: you enjoying your look around, smiling. You're meeting other people
- 10:01Speaker 1: along the way. You're floating over here to skale a
- 10:05Speaker 1: little while. You over there at the beach for a
- 10:07Speaker 1: little while you mess around over here, you get to
- 10:10Speaker 1: go out the country a little bit on your parachuting
- 10:13Speaker 1: all and God just helps your your descent appear more
- 10:17Speaker 1: like a rise and then more like a euphoric fall
- 10:20Speaker 1: instead of not having no God in your life and
- 10:23Speaker 1: you just walking off that cliff every day, free falling.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Ain't got no core, You steady pulling, you hauling the
- 10:30Speaker 1: whole way because you to mess around with yourself and
- 10:33Speaker 1: ain't let God come into your life and provide a
- 10:36Speaker 1: parachute for you. I would rather have a parachute since
- 10:40Speaker 1: I got to jump every day, than to not have one.
- 10:43Speaker 1: God has been like a parachute from me. Ask me
- 10:47Speaker 1: why where that came from? I can't tell you. But
- 10:51Speaker 1: like I always say, most good things that happened in
- 10:53Speaker 1: my life that I can't explain, it's usually him. You're
- 10:57Speaker 1: listening show ladies, gentlemen, everybody, come on, it is it
- 11:09Speaker 1: is he, it is high, it is me. He's blind.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Say sua, uh cluche, I beg moa, say sua. That's
- 11:28Speaker 1: a slow down version of paddle LaBelle. When she was
- 11:32Speaker 1: with La Belle, Lady Marmala, I thought I thought I recommend.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I didn't know. Oh you thought I was exactly Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: I thought I was a language. It is a language,
- 11:43Speaker 1: but we don't know what it is. Hey, Steve, welcome back.
- 11:48Speaker 1: We missed you. Happy holidays. Called it for Rell. What's up? Boss?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Back in the building. Welcome back? What's up Junior? You
- 12:04Speaker 1: miss me? Let's just keep going. Jay didn't think about you, Junior.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I would visit Jay, and I know you didn't miss me.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I ain't no doubt about it. Nephew, Tom, you ain't
- 12:26Speaker 1: my uncle. Back and stride again, baby, you stride again,
- 12:32Speaker 1: Oh man, welcome on home. About the world, I think
- 12:40Speaker 1: the world has a lot to offer. I'm grateful that
- 12:42Speaker 1: God has placed me in the position to be able
- 12:44Speaker 1: to see some things I've never seen before. Um. I
- 12:48Speaker 1: had a really enlightening trip. I took my two youngest
- 12:53Speaker 1: to Botswana and then we went to Abu Dhabi U
- 12:59Speaker 1: technically the full one race, but system I got there
- 13:03Speaker 1: a little early. I just turned it into a little downtime.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Um Um, I don't even know where to start any
- 13:13Speaker 1: questions because I don't even know where to start. It
- 13:16Speaker 1: was just why'd you go there? Any why'd you go
- 13:18Speaker 1: there in the first plat Botswana is because there was
- 13:21Speaker 1: a women's empowerment conference that Marjorie and I spoke at. Okay,
- 13:29Speaker 1: but it was more of an impromptu. It's really for
- 13:31Speaker 1: me to go there to do one thing, and when
- 13:34Speaker 1: we got there, we were asked to do some other things,
- 13:37Speaker 1: so it was really really impromptu. We went to took
- 13:41Speaker 1: a tour when we first got in Botswanna, we took
- 13:44Speaker 1: a tour of the beers uh diamond facility, not mine.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Did you bring any back? Uh? If if I had
- 13:59Speaker 1: something back, I on my way to prison. You ain't
- 14:04Speaker 1: bringing nothing back? You ain't, You ain't. I've never been
- 14:07Speaker 1: in the building so secure in my entire ever, I've
- 14:10Speaker 1: never seen anything. Uh. Then we had a meeting with
- 14:15Speaker 1: the president and the first Lady. Incredible people. Um, it
- 14:21Speaker 1: just bought Swanna. Man, did they know you over there? Steve? Oh? Yeah, yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I'm three times in primetime in Boston. The feud over
- 14:30Speaker 1: that doll, yeah man, yeah, nice Sam, the feud over there.
- 14:36Speaker 1: All right, I'll tell you more when we come back
- 14:37Speaker 1: if you like. Yeah, we'll be back at thirty two
- 14:40Speaker 1: after right after this, you're listening to show. Well, as
- 14:46Speaker 1: you probably have heard already, Steve Harvey is back from
- 14:50Speaker 1: vacation with stories. Man, He's been to Africa everywhere they
- 14:56Speaker 1: ain't bought Swanna. I'm gonna lie to you, man, I'm
- 15:00Speaker 1: I'm living a life that's golden that I didn't know
- 15:05Speaker 1: anything about. I really didn't. So that's called grace because
- 15:10Speaker 1: I can't say I've always wanted to be and do this,
- 15:13Speaker 1: because I didn't even know this existed, you know. And
- 15:17Speaker 1: so it was really really let's start with the plane though,
- 15:22Speaker 1: Let's start how you got there. I flew British Airways
- 15:28Speaker 1: from La X to London, and then British Airways from
- 15:34Speaker 1: London to Johannesburg, and then after that it turned private.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Okay just then, but we had already taken care of
- 15:44Speaker 1: most of the trip, so I was British Airways. Hey man,
- 15:48Speaker 1: let me tell you something. It's the way to go. Uh,
- 15:52Speaker 1: if you're gonna travel now, I boughn't in the back,
- 15:56Speaker 1: so don't let me. And you think fit to get
- 16:00Speaker 1: all this back there. So I don't know what's back there,
- 16:03Speaker 1: but in the front, you ain't gonna pay with the curtain.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I never look, I ain't even turned that weight. Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I always know what not to do. But man, it
- 16:24Speaker 1: was just so, it was it was. I mean, it
- 16:28Speaker 1: was a nice flight. And then I went to U
- 16:30Speaker 1: As soon as we got off the plane in Botswana,
- 16:32Speaker 1: we went directly to the bills and took a two
- 16:35Speaker 1: of the facility that this is where they No, it's
- 16:39Speaker 1: not a diamond right, it's where all the diamonds come
- 16:42Speaker 1: to after they come out of the mind. But it's not.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Botswana is the number one diamond producing country in Africa.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And then they also do the diamonds for Canada. So
- 16:56Speaker 1: all the diamonds that are mined in Canada, they sent
- 16:59Speaker 1: all of them to Botswanna. Here's what's amazing, man, What
- 17:07Speaker 1: really the Bears made a concerted effort over there, with
- 17:11Speaker 1: a lot of pushing and powerful people getting involved. Ninety
- 17:17Speaker 1: eight percent of the employees inside of the Bears were Africans. Yes,
- 17:24Speaker 1: this little girl man was twenty three years old, was
- 17:27Speaker 1: in charge of this entire raw diamond division. She was
- 17:33Speaker 1: handling some of the largest stones in the building. Twenty
- 17:39Speaker 1: three man and knew everything about it. That was really,
- 17:43Speaker 1: really amazing thing. I took a lot of pictures over there, man,
- 17:47Speaker 1: you know, oh yeah, yeah, but this all in the
- 17:53Speaker 1: raw form. They're not cut and polished. So what you
- 17:58Speaker 1: see is the rock as it comes out of the
- 18:00Speaker 1: earth or in the ground or wherever they get it
- 18:03Speaker 1: from rivers or whatever. And it's amazing. It's amazing how
- 18:07Speaker 1: many diamonds are there at one time. My god, I
- 18:14Speaker 1: was solder. There's no way you could have taken like
- 18:17Speaker 1: a small, small one. There's still nothing cut your whole
- 18:23Speaker 1: hand off, so small you want like put in your
- 18:27Speaker 1: ear something like that, Joe. You can't get out the building.
- 18:31Speaker 1: There a lot of security. It's a most or something.
- 18:35Speaker 1: You can't chew gum in there. Yeah, a little gum
- 18:42Speaker 1: in the building and the building. Yeah, they take anything
- 18:47Speaker 1: that the search to go in. Yeah. Uh yeah. Man,
- 18:57Speaker 1: you're not going in there with nothing. You're not you're
- 18:59Speaker 1: not nothing. They treat you, they treat you. If one
- 19:09Speaker 1: stone is missing, the building gets shut down until the
- 19:12Speaker 1: stone is found. It don't matter what size the stone is.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Everything is counted at the beginning of the day. Everything
- 19:20Speaker 1: is counted at the end of the day. If one
- 19:22Speaker 1: small stone I held a I held a stone in
- 19:29Speaker 1: my hand that was a hundred and fifty some cabins. Wow,
- 19:39Speaker 1: it wasn't that heavy, man, it's not. And this is
- 19:42Speaker 1: the roth for them. I saw a diamond, the largest
- 19:46Speaker 1: diamond ever found in Botswana was called uh uh lads.
- 19:54Speaker 1: They called it ladici, which is lighter thing. It's called lads,
- 19:58Speaker 1: not lettuce. But that's Marjorie's African name. Now, yeah, they
- 20:05Speaker 1: named her after that, which means light. She's light of
- 20:08Speaker 1: the world because of her spirit over there. So they
- 20:10Speaker 1: named her ladc And that diamond was one thousand, one
- 20:16Speaker 1: hundred eleven carrots. Wows a lot. You got a picture
- 20:25Speaker 1: that dog. Did you get a picture that didn't take
- 20:26Speaker 1: any selfies? I'm sure no. Poor camera and taking pictures pictures.
- 20:33Speaker 1: I took some pictures in that of people, you know, Steve, Steve,
- 20:39Speaker 1: one more selfie for you. I didn't. I didn't, you know,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I get you could have. I guess some of it
- 20:46Speaker 1: could have got in the picture, but I was too scared,
- 20:51Speaker 1: be honest with you. Yeah, I was scared. I didn't
- 20:53Speaker 1: want to break no rules. One of the young girls
- 20:56Speaker 1: that was with us took a wrong turn and when
- 21:00Speaker 1: through the wrong door, it took us thirty minutes to
- 21:03Speaker 1: get her out of that door. We were leaving. Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 1: this is little dumb ask I mean, excuse you. I
- 21:16Speaker 1: was so mad, man, I was so mad because we
- 21:19Speaker 1: were leaving. When you got back to her, girl took
- 21:23Speaker 1: her that works for us went through the wrong damn
- 21:26Speaker 1: dough oho, brother, they shut everything down. We was in
- 21:32Speaker 1: that extra thirty minutes. How did she get away from
- 21:35Speaker 1: the group? She was the first one through the door
- 21:38Speaker 1: and she always doing some stupid all right, Coming up
- 21:42Speaker 1: next is the nephew here would run that breakback right
- 21:46Speaker 1: after this you're listening. Coming up in twenty minutes after
- 21:53Speaker 1: the hour Essence magazine trending article. The title Holiday Sleigh
- 21:59Speaker 1: and it is about miss Marjorie Harvey living her best
- 22:03Speaker 1: life holiday travel and Abu Dhabi. Yes, it's Essence magazine
- 22:12Speaker 1: dot com. Yeah, right now though, we'll talk about it.
- 22:15Speaker 1: We'll talk about it. Yeah, right now, it is the
- 22:18Speaker 1: nephews turn to run that prank back. What you got, nef,
- 22:22Speaker 1: I want to date your mama. There you mad at them,
- 22:27Speaker 1: but because because because you mean that much to me,
- 22:30Speaker 1: I want to date your mama. Wow, run it. Hello. Hello,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach I'm trying to reach Miss Burns.
- 22:40Speaker 1: This is James. This is her son. How you doing man?
- 22:43Speaker 1: My name is Gordon Gordon. Just recently joined the church
- 22:46Speaker 1: Man within the last month, and I was trying to

- 30:24Speaker 1: Up next, nephew, we gotta get out of here. We'll
- 30:26Speaker 1: talk about it well, then listen to the time. Can
- 30:34Speaker 1: we get to the entertainment news, which is coming up.
- 30:37Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about Marjorie Harvey living her best life
- 30:40Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show according to Essence Magazine,
- 30:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey while we're all, you know, like stuffing our
- 30:51Speaker 1: faces with turkey over the Thanksgiving holiday and fighting over
- 30:55Speaker 1: Black Friday deals. Well, the Queen of Vacation slays herself,
- 30:59Speaker 1: missus Marjorie Harvey was living her best life in the
- 31:03Speaker 1: capital city of United Arab Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, okay,
- 31:08Speaker 1: and serving pure travel goals. We already know that she.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I mean really, she's all over the place all the time, Paris, Milan, Italy,
- 31:19Speaker 1: everywhere you can think of Africa, everywhere, New York. She'll
- 31:23Speaker 1: throw New York in there, you know. I mean, you
- 31:29Speaker 1: don't see Steve life. You're working, you're providing, so she
- 31:35Speaker 1: can do what she did. I was watching her own
- 31:39Speaker 1: the camel. How didn't you just get back from Botswana? Yeah?
- 31:43Speaker 1: You were, okay, so stop. We don't talk food before
- 31:47Speaker 1: the day, Shustana, which one you want to be in? Yeah?
- 31:53Speaker 1: I just saw I pull it up. I saw that.
- 31:56Speaker 1: And we already know that black women love you, and
- 32:00Speaker 1: it looks like Marjorie is no exception. Steve. You were
- 32:03Speaker 1: telling us some great stories about your vacation and how
- 32:07Speaker 1: much fun you had. And we saw on Instagram you
- 32:09Speaker 1: and Chris Tucker and Dave Chappelle. That must have been
- 32:12Speaker 1: fun hanging out with those guys. Huh, laughing so hard
- 32:17Speaker 1: at these foods? What were they doing, Stave? I can't
- 32:21Speaker 1: none of this can get on. That's that's. That's that comedian. Yeah,
- 32:26Speaker 1: comedian humor A little bit different, a little bit too
- 32:29Speaker 1: dark for yeah, yeah, you know, it's a little bit
- 32:31Speaker 1: too dark for public consumption. Okay, especially morning radio, yes, yes,
- 32:38Speaker 1: night radio. No other guy. If you're not there, you
- 32:42Speaker 1: can't you can't even hear about it. It's different. It's
- 32:46Speaker 1: just for comedians. That's you're really not gonna think it's
- 32:51Speaker 1: funny at all, but we're gonna be on the floor.
- 32:57Speaker 1: So you've been all over the world, Steve. You've been
- 32:59Speaker 1: on African safaris. I mean, you've been everywhere. You know,
- 33:04Speaker 1: on the front row at fashion Week in Paris all that.
- 33:07Speaker 1: What's your favorite vacation spot so far? You've been to
- 33:10Speaker 1: the Greek Isles, the French Riviera, Italian riviera. I mean,
- 33:15Speaker 1: you know, the summer vacation is the favorite because we
- 33:20Speaker 1: spend it together, just me and her. We invite the kids,
- 33:25Speaker 1: but only for a short time. Then they got to
- 33:27Speaker 1: go back home. Y'all get a week y'all. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 1: I tripped over the summers our absolute favorite, but our
- 33:35Speaker 1: favorite places to go. I'm telling you, as a as
- 33:38Speaker 1: a as a as a black person, you have got
- 33:42Speaker 1: to go to Africa. It's an absolute must. I wish
- 33:47Speaker 1: I would have known this before. I mean, this wasn't
- 33:49Speaker 1: my first trip, but I wish I would have made
- 33:52Speaker 1: it my goal in my twenties to go see Africa. Wow,
- 33:57Speaker 1: it will take your breath away. Here's what you think.
- 34:01Speaker 1: When when I landed in Africa the first time, it
- 34:05Speaker 1: was like going back home to a place I've never been.
- 34:10Speaker 1: And it's very emotional, man, very very emotional. But I
- 34:13Speaker 1: think every but everybody should see the content, every human being,
- 34:17Speaker 1: but for black people it would be especially moving for you, exceptionally.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Movie save up. I know the ticket is expensive, but
- 34:25Speaker 1: if you could put your money together, skip one of
- 34:27Speaker 1: them family unions and go see where you came from.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Skip one of them one one. That's a waste reunion.
- 34:39Speaker 1: You get an experience in Africa, all right, Steve, miss
- 34:48Speaker 1: Anne trip, Thank you very much, everybody. I totally agree
- 34:52Speaker 1: with Steve. Africa is a trip to make. This is
- 34:54Speaker 1: a trip with the news. Two nooses, along with some
- 34:57Speaker 1: ugly racist scrawls found in the mississipp State House yesterday
- 35:01Speaker 1: in advance of today's runoff election between former US Agricultural
- 35:04Speaker 1: Secretary Micah eSPI, who's black, and Senator Cindy Hide Smith,
- 35:08Speaker 1: a white woman who says she'd attend a public hanging
- 35:11Speaker 1: if a supporter asked her to remember this is Mississippi.
- 35:14Speaker 1: President Trump a personally campaign for Cindy Hyde Smith yesterday,
- 35:18Speaker 1: two rallies. Meanwhile, the presidents defending the use of tear
- 35:21Speaker 1: gas on the Central American migrants in Tijuana over the
- 35:24Speaker 1: weekend as some of them charged the Mexican border. They
- 35:27Speaker 1: had to use because they were being rushed by some
- 35:30Speaker 1: very tough people, and they used Tier Garrison. Here's the
- 35:34Speaker 1: bottom line, nobody's coming into our country unless they come
- 35:37Speaker 1: in lately. The migrant push was a desperate effort to
- 35:40Speaker 1: try and get US officials but to allow them to
- 35:43Speaker 1: apply for asylum, and it resulted in the temporary shutdown
- 35:47Speaker 1: of the San Ysidral border crossing between Tijuana and San Diego, California.
- 35:51Speaker 1: In a tweet, Trump is urging Mexico now to send
- 35:53Speaker 1: the migrants back to Central America using buses or even planes,
- 35:57Speaker 1: and the administration is also suggesting that the caravan remained
- 36:01Speaker 1: in Mexico until at least while their asylum claims are processed.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Automaker General Motors has announced that it plants a layoff
- 36:08Speaker 1: more than fifteen thousand of its workers, both white and
- 36:10Speaker 1: blue collar employees, and put five plants up for possible closure.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Penning the outcome of negotiations with the labor union. GM
- 36:17Speaker 1: has been focusing less of late on small cars and
- 36:20Speaker 1: more on stuvs and electric vehicles since their sedance have
- 36:23Speaker 1: not been selling. A plink slips are expected to go
- 36:25Speaker 1: out to some six thousand factory workers and about eight
- 36:28Speaker 1: thousand white collar plant employees. Sad news, Oprah Winfrey has
- 36:33Speaker 1: been dealt a painful blow. Apparently, her mother, missus Verneta Lee,
- 36:38Speaker 1: died on Thanksgiving Day. According to People magazine, Missus Verneta
- 36:41Speaker 1: Lee died in her Milwaukee, Wisconsin home at age eighty three.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Besides being survived by Oprah, one of the richest women
- 36:47Speaker 1: on the planet, Vernitaly also survived by a daughter she
- 36:50Speaker 1: gave before adoption but reconnected with later in life, Patricia
- 36:53Speaker 1: Amanda Faelei and Oprah's mom had two other children, a son, Jeoffrey,
- 36:57Speaker 1: who died in nineteen eighty nine, a daughter particially Lloyd,
- 37:01Speaker 1: who died in two thousand and three. Final numbers aren't
- 37:04Speaker 1: in yet, but yesterday cyber Monday is on track to
- 37:07Speaker 1: set a new record. Online shoppers attracted by the huge
- 37:11Speaker 1: discounts and stuff are expected to bring the total spent
- 37:14Speaker 1: during yesterday's one day internet shopping event to an estimate.
- 37:17Speaker 1: It are you sitting down seven point eight billion with
- 37:21Speaker 1: a B dollars and the top selling items have been
- 37:24Speaker 1: laptops and toys. Also, Adobe Young Lake says that the
- 37:27Speaker 1: biggest online spenders happened to be in Denver, followed by
- 37:30Speaker 1: shoppers in San Francisco and then shoppers in New York
- 37:35Speaker 1: fire Lea. Today is a Giver's Day. National Giver's Day,
- 37:38Speaker 1: so please give to the charity of your choice. Is
- 37:40Speaker 1: also National Electric Jet Guitar Day. Jimmy Hendricks always knows
- 37:46Speaker 1: what to do. It's been answered with needing that. Back
- 37:48Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morrin show you're listening to, the
- 37:55Speaker 1: house cleaning ends up resulting in an accidental pay day,
- 37:59Speaker 1: especially for Harold and Tina Arenberg of Mandeville, Louisiana. Check
- 38:04Speaker 1: this out. This couple was doing some you know, like
- 38:06Speaker 1: some holiday cleaning around the house when they turned up
- 38:09Speaker 1: a couple of unchecked lottery tickets. They checked the tickets
- 38:13Speaker 1: online and discovered one point eight million dollars almost went
- 38:18Speaker 1: in the trash. The tickets were for the June eighth
- 38:24Speaker 1: drawing of the Louisiana Lottery, Steve, which has a one
- 38:28Speaker 1: hundred and eighty day window. That's when you have to
- 38:30Speaker 1: catch them in. And that window would have closed December second,
- 38:35Speaker 1: so time was running out. Yeah, well yeah, yes, how
- 38:42Speaker 1: much one point eight stop cleaning right in? Absolutely? Yes, yes, ja, yes, dirty.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I don't even want this house anymore. Gonna need that
- 39:00Speaker 1: other power ball. Yeah, yeah, that's outside of you know
- 39:06Speaker 1: how many people were flipping over their couch right now? Yes, exactly,
- 39:12Speaker 1: big Mama room. But I mean really from Junior would
- 39:18Speaker 1: think it would be over, but you know, almost December second,
- 39:21Speaker 1: if they didn't cash it in by December second. And
- 39:24Speaker 1: this Sunday about the money that was found in the storage, Yes,
- 39:31Speaker 1: seven seven million. It was a story you know how
- 39:36Speaker 1: you know how those you know those stories awards, right, Yeah,
- 39:39Speaker 1: the TV show Storage Road And this guy bought this story.
- 39:43Speaker 1: It was a safe in it. He won, he won
- 39:46Speaker 1: the whole bit or whatever as a safe in it.
- 39:48Speaker 1: It's got seven million dollars. The owner, Steve, the owner wanted, said,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I give you a reward for a million dollars. Well,
- 39:58Speaker 1: first give me that six hundred thousand. Yeah, yeah, I
- 40:04Speaker 1: got the seven point I don't need. Right, But they
- 40:08Speaker 1: finally settled with what how much did he wind up giving?
- 40:10Speaker 1: God him and Steve it was all in cash. Money
- 40:13Speaker 1: was up. Yeah, they ended up getting one point two right,
- 40:17Speaker 1: why would you give up? But the owner of the
- 40:20Speaker 1: locker up? You mean the former owner because the people
- 40:24Speaker 1: that found the money were the current owners and they
- 40:27Speaker 1: had every right to it. So why did they give
- 40:30Speaker 1: him his money back? Exactly? That's exactly. They were good
- 40:34Speaker 1: people people, yeahs and everything. The original owners, they had attorneys.
- 40:41Speaker 1: They couldn't have won though they couldn't. They couldn't have
- 40:44Speaker 1: won this. Yeah yeah, all right, Well, so long you
- 40:47Speaker 1: lose that locker, you lose it. Yeah, yeah, exactly, that's
- 40:52Speaker 1: your money, that's yourself your money. All right. Coming up
- 40:56Speaker 1: in thirty four after the hour. Mississippi runoff election is today, Mississippi, Steve,
- 41:01Speaker 1: you gotta let the people in Mississippi know how important

- 41:09Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening,
- 41:15Speaker 1: all right, Steve. Mississippi special runoff election for US Senate
- 41:19Speaker 1: is today. Democratic candidate Mike Espy is running against his opponent,
- 41:23Speaker 1: Republican racist Cindy Republican. Yeah, you about said it right,
- 41:32Speaker 1: And you know what, We've got to get out really
- 41:34Speaker 1: in the state of Mississippi and support this man. But man,
- 41:38Speaker 1: the things that this woman has said, that things this
- 41:41Speaker 1: woman has condoned, the things she stands for, the fact
- 41:45Speaker 1: that Trump won't say anything about except she's the candidate.
- 41:50Speaker 1: It just, man, this guy just doesn't care at all, man,
- 41:55Speaker 1: about the condition of the feelings of the Oh pray
- 42:00Speaker 1: people in this country. Y'all get out and vote in
- 42:03Speaker 1: the state of Mississippi for Mike spe today, just to
- 42:07Speaker 1: run off. Man. You can do it, Mississippi, Come on,
- 42:10Speaker 1: you can do it. You've overcome a lot in that
- 42:13Speaker 1: state and you've got you've got a statement of your
- 42:15Speaker 1: own that you get a chance to make today that
- 42:18Speaker 1: we will no longer allow this type of rhetoric to
- 42:21Speaker 1: be condoned by us. I mean, and it's a great
- 42:26Speaker 1: statement that you all can make concerning this man. And
- 42:31Speaker 1: I hope you all do, man, get out to the
- 42:33Speaker 1: polls and vote. You know, I wasn't like really angry
- 42:36Speaker 1: with the voter turnout this year in the midterms in Florida,
- 42:40Speaker 1: in Georgia where Stacy Laws and and you know what,
- 42:47Speaker 1: wasn't upset about to turn out. I think people really
- 42:51Speaker 1: turned out. Um, but the other party, it's dangerously committed
- 42:59Speaker 1: to keeping things as they are. Yeah, this listen to me, y'all.
- 43:02Speaker 1: This make America Great Again statement has taken a bigger
- 43:06Speaker 1: foothold than you can imagine. And you've you've got to
- 43:11Speaker 1: be careful of this statement and make America great again
- 43:14Speaker 1: because that's a reference to going back to a time
- 43:17Speaker 1: going by. Yeah, hey, Steve, I wanted to let you
- 43:20Speaker 1: know you weren't here yesterday, but Mike Ausby was our
- 43:22Speaker 1: special guest and he had a lot to say about
- 43:26Speaker 1: today's elections as well election as well. Take a listen,
- 43:29Speaker 1: And I want to remind everyone on that in nineteen
- 43:31Speaker 1: eighty six, I was a bridge phase thirty year old,
- 43:34Speaker 1: had never run any offers in my life, and I
- 43:36Speaker 1: ran for congressmund from the second district of the first
- 43:39Speaker 1: black to win that seats of the war. So we've
- 43:41Speaker 1: done this before. We've done this before, and we're going
- 43:44Speaker 1: to do it again. We need to college kids to
- 43:45Speaker 1: definitely get out though millennials. You're right, Tommy, Yeah, they've
- 43:49Speaker 1: got to get out. And now they have a reason yea,
- 43:51Speaker 1: be yond just my core mission and my purpose statements.
- 43:54Speaker 1: They need to get out the calf. She's telling them
- 43:56Speaker 1: that they're both need to be suppressed. That's right, they've
- 43:59Speaker 1: got to No, it's brutal. There you have it, get outcouraging. Yeah, man,
- 44:07Speaker 1: everybody in Mississippi. We got to turn out. And some
- 44:10Speaker 1: great people in the state of Mississippi. You know, we're
- 44:12Speaker 1: joking on this here, but on seriousness, man, it's some
- 44:15Speaker 1: really really cool people in the state of the sipp
- 44:17Speaker 1: and we're just not having it no more. You know.
- 44:19Speaker 1: You we've been down there, man, been the bunny into
- 44:22Speaker 1: the jokes and everything. But it has been rough down
- 44:25Speaker 1: there too. Now that it's it's very, very real, the
- 44:28Speaker 1: way that they've conducted business as usual in the state
- 44:31Speaker 1: of Mississippi. It's been rough. But there's some people down
- 44:35Speaker 1: there that stay home. That's where they live. That's what
- 44:38Speaker 1: they love, you know, they love going down there doing
- 44:41Speaker 1: and family unions and these are people and that's where
- 44:44Speaker 1: we're born. You can't take people's homes from them. But
- 44:48Speaker 1: what we will not stand for anymore is, you know, look, wan,
- 44:54Speaker 1: but endorsing public lynch. And he has said this about
- 45:00Speaker 1: any other racial group. Come on, now, come on, look,
- 45:04Speaker 1: here's a duke. They wouldn't have stood for it. We
- 45:07Speaker 1: shouldn't stand for it either. Well, up against a lot
- 45:10Speaker 1: around this world, we're up against a lot down in Mississippi.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Here's a state who refuses to remove the rebel flag
- 45:18Speaker 1: from state buildings. It's been done in a lot of states,
- 45:22Speaker 1: Mississippi hanging on. So you know, we got to we
- 45:25Speaker 1: got to send a message to them that this this
- 45:28Speaker 1: type of rhetoric this woman is viewing, she's not even
- 45:31Speaker 1: a great person. She's not a good person. She's just not. Man,
- 45:34Speaker 1: I'm sorry. And did she ever even apologize for saying that?
- 45:38Speaker 1: Apologizing for nothing? That's that, you know, that's the thing
- 45:43Speaker 1: front row after hanging Yeah, yeah, she's caught on videos.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, let's vote. All right, we gotta get out
- 45:51Speaker 1: and vote Mississippi today, please us. And we don't get
- 45:54Speaker 1: the jokes man, all right? Up next, the nephew with
- 45:58Speaker 1: a spring phone call that's coming up right after this
- 46:01Speaker 1: you're listening show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 46:07Speaker 1: right about four minutes after it is today's Strawberry let
- 46:10Speaker 1: Her Boy. The subject says, thanks for having a child
- 46:15Speaker 1: from my man. Why we're gonna get into it all right,
- 46:22Speaker 1: but right now the nephew is here with today's prank
- 46:25Speaker 1: phone call. What's your guy, King of Pranks? My daddy boats?
- 46:30Speaker 1: My daddy boat? Is he crying? My daddy boat? Is
- 46:35Speaker 1: he mad? I can't my daddy boat? He Hello, I'm
- 46:43Speaker 1: trying to reach you, mister Wilson. Please, mister Wilson, how
- 46:48Speaker 1: are you today? My name is Williams. Well, listen, We've
- 46:54Speaker 1: I've been getting a few complaints, sir about some things
- 46:58Speaker 1: on your property there. All right, Well are you with
- 47:02Speaker 1: Actually I'm with the homeowners Association. Wanted to reach out
- 47:05Speaker 1: and give you a call today. Oh well, how are
- 47:07Speaker 1: you doing? Pretty good? Listen. Um, got a few things
- 47:12Speaker 1: I kind of want to discuss with you here that
- 47:14Speaker 1: seemed to be a problem that's taken place in the
- 47:17Speaker 1: neighborhood there. Um, it's been brought to our attention down
- 47:21Speaker 1: here at headquarters that you have a few things on
- 47:24Speaker 1: your property that are are not functioning that really shouldn't
- 47:28Speaker 1: be on the property. You have two cars supposedly in
- 47:31Speaker 1: your driveway that are not being used, been sitting there
- 47:34Speaker 1: for quite some time. Well, yeah, well one of them
- 47:36Speaker 1: I'm currently working on. I'm almost I should have it repaired.
- 47:40Speaker 1: I'm just waiting on getting wait, wait and get a
- 47:41Speaker 1: little extra money and get it take care. But the
- 47:43Speaker 1: other cars just function it. I just don't drive, but
- 47:45Speaker 1: I have more than one car. Okay. Now you you
- 47:49Speaker 1: also have a camper that seems to be has been
- 47:53Speaker 1: there for at least eight months now, that's that's sitting there.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Is that correct as well? Yeah, yeah, I'm I'm working
- 48:00Speaker 1: on getting some storage for that is. But it ain't
- 48:03Speaker 1: really been there eight months, just maybe around about six seven.
- 48:08Speaker 1: And uh, you know, I'm looking at our past records
- 48:11Speaker 1: and stuff. It seems like there was a complaint before
- 48:14Speaker 1: about the you know, keeping the yard, uh pretty cutting
- 48:19Speaker 1: all of that kind of stuff. And I'm just looking
- 48:21Speaker 1: at past complaints that I have here. Now the biggest
- 48:24Speaker 1: one that I have that that's concerning your property, sir,
- 48:27Speaker 1: is uh, supposedly in your backyard. Now there's a you
- 48:32Speaker 1: have an old boat that's in your backyard. Yeah, yeah,
- 48:36Speaker 1: but I don't see that both bothered nobody. Well, well,
- 48:40Speaker 1: I mean it's it's it's kind of a sore eye
- 48:42Speaker 1: for the people. I think. I think you guys backyards
- 48:44Speaker 1: actually bump up against each other, and you guys have
- 48:47Speaker 1: a chain link fence between the two of you all,
- 48:50Speaker 1: and I think the boat is must be just a
- 48:52Speaker 1: sore eye for the family that's behind you. All. Well,
- 48:55Speaker 1: you know, I don't see myself getting rid of that boat.
- 48:58Speaker 1: So I got a cover on it. Everybody else got
- 49:02Speaker 1: a boat. I don't see. What's the problem is. Well, okay,
- 49:05Speaker 1: here's here's what's actually happening, mister Wilson. What's gonna take
- 49:08Speaker 1: place is this. Now, we're gonna give you a fourteen
- 49:12Speaker 1: day extension, fourteen days actually to move the car that
- 49:18Speaker 1: is not functioning, the camper as well, and definitely the boat.
- 49:22Speaker 1: We need. We're gonna need those three items. We'll get
- 49:25Speaker 1: search search. I ain't got no we moved boat. I
- 49:27Speaker 1: just told you I was working on so well for storage.
- 49:30Speaker 1: You know, I'm a storage called Now the boat. Now
- 49:32Speaker 1: the cab, I'll get that, take care. But the boat,
- 49:34Speaker 1: the boat, the boat, My daddy gave me, and my
- 49:37Speaker 1: daddy gave me that that that's the only thing my
- 49:38Speaker 1: daddy gave me before he died. Now, now I'm not
- 49:41Speaker 1: moving that boat nowhere. The boat won't just fun if
- 49:44Speaker 1: I take it down that to the water. It works, sir,
- 49:47Speaker 1: And I understand it wholeheartedly. You know, I'm basically I'm
- 49:51Speaker 1: just a messenger I have. I'm gonna have to get
- 49:54Speaker 1: the non functioning car that's not working properly. I'm gonna
- 49:57Speaker 1: have to get that out within the two weeks, notice,
- 50:00Speaker 1: as well as the camper and definitely the boat. Now,
- 50:02Speaker 1: I gotta get that out. That's gotta be gone. I'll
- 50:05Speaker 1: tell you what I ain't moving, sing, I'll tell you
- 50:07Speaker 1: that plan. What you're gonna do, sir. You gotta either
- 50:10Speaker 1: move the boat or I'm gonna have somebody come over
- 50:13Speaker 1: and haul all of these things away. Well, i'll tell
- 50:15Speaker 1: you what. I got thirteen reasons why you won't go
- 50:18Speaker 1: over and touch that boat. And I got two bon
- 50:21Speaker 1: or two two to thirteen twenty six. I got thirteen
- 50:24Speaker 1: and then I got another twenty six added on to
- 50:27Speaker 1: that why you won't bring now want me to touch
- 50:30Speaker 1: my daddy boat because my daddy gave me that bowl.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I'll be dad into you. You know I'm tired of
- 50:35Speaker 1: you with me. It's that Cross Street eighty report because
- 50:39Speaker 1: I'm not at liberty to give you the name who's
- 50:41Speaker 1: reported called my bote, So you haven't live to give
- 50:44Speaker 1: me something because I know down the street that boat,
- 50:47Speaker 1: you know, eight months and it ain't nobody said saint
- 50:50Speaker 1: to him. So why the hell y'all me about how
- 50:52Speaker 1: to boat in the backyard to my daddy gave me, Sir,
- 50:54Speaker 1: The language is not necessary. The bottom line is I
- 50:59Speaker 1: want the camper out. I want to vote out, and
- 51:02Speaker 1: I want the car that's not functioning move for them
- 51:05Speaker 1: two weeks or I'm towing it out. I tell you,
- 51:07Speaker 1: when I give you a personal invitation to come over him,
- 51:10Speaker 1: put the vote, the campell and the car, and I
- 51:15Speaker 1: I will beat you like that's what beat you, sir. Wow,
- 51:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna allow one car to stay. I just want
- 51:22Speaker 1: to make sure that you know that I've given you
- 51:24Speaker 1: the statement over the phone, letting you know that what
- 51:27Speaker 1: what has taken place here will take it. But I
- 51:31Speaker 1: ain't move my daddy boat. You're gonna move your dad's
- 51:34Speaker 1: thinking vote if I don't bring the loan, but you
- 51:40Speaker 1: bring somebody, sir, trust me, Trust me. If we come there,
- 51:43Speaker 1: we're definitely gonna be bringing authorities with us. My might
- 51:46Speaker 1: will go to jail because I love my daddy. Ain't
- 51:48Speaker 1: now I want you. I'm gonna touch my daddy boat.
- 51:50Speaker 1: That's on me. I got one one thing I need
- 51:54Speaker 1: to say to you, sir about this in a situation.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Excuse me what you got to say? All I have
- 51:59Speaker 1: to say is that this is nephew Timmy from the
- 52:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your brother. Man.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I got up all right, man, your brother told me,
- 52:21Speaker 1: he said, Man, he'd be going eddie with the homeowner socier.
- 52:24Speaker 1: He said, Man, just call him and tell him he
- 52:27Speaker 1: got to move all this stiff, he said. But most
- 52:29Speaker 1: of all, tell him y'all gonna haul off that boat.
- 52:33Speaker 1: He said. He can't even had that dog on boat.
- 52:36Speaker 1: But I love that they know, they know. I got
- 52:41Speaker 1: one more question for you, though, Baby, Tell me this,
- 52:43Speaker 1: what is the baddest radio show in the land? The
- 52:47Speaker 1: Steven My Daddy Boat. How y'all feeling? How y'all about it?
- 53:00Speaker 1: I don't know you. It's still time for but who
- 53:04Speaker 1: before this year is out. Just think somebody gonna whoop me.
- 53:10Speaker 1: But it's fun, it's good play. It's good play for you,
- 53:18Speaker 1: the people real life. You equal as whoop. What's again?
- 53:25Speaker 1: It's his daddy's boat? Yeah, get a boat. All I
- 53:34Speaker 1: know is you can't park that boat in the backyard.
- 53:36Speaker 1: We can't have that, all right, maybehood don't want that
- 53:39Speaker 1: boat back there like that. He can only man. You
- 53:46Speaker 1: don't need to vote if you can't afford to slip
- 53:49Speaker 1: up for the slip. Come on, where you performing? What's
- 53:55Speaker 1: going on? I mean Columbia this weekend, that's thurd you
- 53:58Speaker 1: through Sunday at Columbia Comedy House. Tickets almost sold out.

- 55:09Speaker 1: We will be back after the you're listening, all right.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Before we get to today's Strawberry letter, we get today's

- 55:48Speaker 1: tough time, so I just said forget it. So they
- 55:51Speaker 1: said anything, Yeah, I showed him the picture that made
- 55:55Speaker 1: it worse. Yeah, yes, we are looking Who is he?
- 56:00Speaker 1: I said, that's my nephew. Yes, he's a nice man.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Yes he's really nice's funny too. What what does he do?
- 56:08Speaker 1: I said? He got TV show called Ready for Love
- 56:10Speaker 1: in the States, Ready to Love. No, I said, ready,
- 56:14Speaker 1: ready for Love, Ready to Love, Ready to Love? Got
- 56:18Speaker 1: it right, he got it right, You got it wrong?
- 56:20Speaker 1: But keep going No, I corrected him. I told him
- 56:23Speaker 1: he was wrong. He said ready to Love. I said no, no, no,
- 56:26Speaker 1: Ready for Love. And then, well we did not know him.
- 56:30Speaker 1: I said, what he really? Famous man? Over there? He said, well,
- 56:33Speaker 1: we would pick up this show as soon as he
- 56:35Speaker 1: is famous over here. Tell him we said that he love,
- 56:38Speaker 1: and so I just want to tell you that. Everybody
- 56:40Speaker 1: after said, what's happening? Yea waiting on you to get funny,
- 56:44Speaker 1: but they're gonna pick your show up. Man, who is this?

- 56:59Speaker 1: you know that? I didn't know that. No, I didn't
- 57:01Speaker 1: know that. Yeah, a baby Gauzelle is called the Tommy.
- 57:04Speaker 1: They're so fast and small. So I was right there
- 57:12Speaker 1: with him, nephew, Tommy s no tummy all right, flat
- 57:21Speaker 1: of face, But just life saves little face though. As
- 57:26Speaker 1: I was saying before we get to today's Strawberry letter,
- 57:31Speaker 1: Mississippi's special runoff election for US Senate is today, So
- 57:35Speaker 1: please vote for Democratic Senate Democratic candidate Mike Espy and
- 57:40Speaker 1: remember his opponent, Republican Cindy Hyde Smith, endorsed public hangings
- 57:44Speaker 1: and lynchings. Okay, we need the entire Yeah, we need
- 57:48Speaker 1: the entire that's right, Carlin. We need the entire state
- 57:50Speaker 1: of Mississippi to get out and vote for Mike Espy
- 57:54Speaker 1: to day. Okay today, Um, don't put it off, don't procrastinate,
- 58:01Speaker 1: get on out to the polls and vote. Okay. You know,
- 58:04Speaker 1: there used to be a time when you make a
- 58:05Speaker 1: statement like this and would cost you the election, right, yeah,
- 58:10Speaker 1: you mean his opponent. Yes, you could make a statement
- 58:14Speaker 1: like that and it would just cost you the election
- 58:16Speaker 1: because even even the Republicans, who have a lot of
- 58:21Speaker 1: great people in it, were just considered to be the
- 58:24Speaker 1: moral party. And if you made a statement like that,
- 58:27Speaker 1: the Southern evangelicals and everybody went, no, that's not what
- 58:30Speaker 1: we're about. Something has happened. Something has happened because the
- 58:35Speaker 1: Southern evangelicals still support Donald Trump, and that's amazing. It's
- 58:41Speaker 1: because of the PowerShift that they see coming from the top,
- 58:45Speaker 1: and so they can quit making it about their faith
- 58:48Speaker 1: because that's not what that is at this point. And
- 58:50Speaker 1: some of them just won't change parties or speak against
- 58:54Speaker 1: him or anything. He's a Republican. They're Republicans and that's it.
- 58:58Speaker 1: And you know, and that's fine, but come on, this man,
- 59:03Speaker 1: Lloyd can be a Republican and see wrong doing. Yeah,
- 59:06Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely, but none of them speak out against him. Now, yeah,
- 59:12Speaker 1: all right, so listen. If you need some advice and
- 59:15Speaker 1: relationships on dating, work, sex, parenting, and more, please submit
- 59:19Speaker 1: your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey FM and click submit
- 59:22Speaker 1: to Strawberry letter. We're ready, Steve, We're ready. All right,
- 59:26Speaker 1: let's get buggle hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 59:32Speaker 1: It's a Strawberry letter subject thanks for having a child
- 59:37Speaker 1: for my man, Dear Stephen Shirley. Let's just get right
- 59:40Speaker 1: to it. Here's my dilemma. I'm a thirty eight year
- 59:43Speaker 1: old woman and I've never wanted to have children. Five
- 59:46Speaker 1: years ago, I was in a great relationship and we
- 59:48Speaker 1: were talking about getting married. But he wanted children and
- 59:52Speaker 1: I did not, so we mutually decided to end our relationship.
- 59:57Speaker 1: We could not deny that we were still in love
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: with each other, so two years after we broke up,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: we reconnected and have been seeing each other off and
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: on since then. While we've been spending time together, he
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: started a relationship with a new woman and they had
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: a child together, and he couldn't be happier. He has
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: told me that he wants to marry the woman so
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: that his child will have the kind of upbringing he
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: had with both parents present. I truly believe now that
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: he has a son he wanted, he and I can
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: get back together and get married. He tells me every
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: day that he loves me, so why wouldn't he want
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: to marry me instead of her? If I were an
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: evil woman, I could end it all between him and
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: this woman by telling her that I've been with him
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: this entire time they've been together. I have lots of
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: damaging proof that would definitely break them up. Even though
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I did not want to have children, I can help
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: him raise his son. What do you think I should do?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Don't I deserve to be happy too? Well, yeah, everyone
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: deserves to be happy, but not this way. Okay, I
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: just gotta tell you that it looks like you're done.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I mean, you're just the side piece in this relationship.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: He has moved on from you to the woman he
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: wants to marry. And guess what, that woman is not you.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: He said he wanted to marry that woman and not you.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: You you don't want to have children. He only has
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: one child. How do you know he doesn't want to
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: have more children. You didn't mention that in the letter?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Did you you think he's one and done? Well, they're smart,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: she really smart. I didn't see that. Well, he may not.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: You know, he may want to have another one, and
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: you still don't want children, So there is no future
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: in this relationship with him. What you have with him
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: is as good as it's going to get with again,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: you being the jump off. That's it. He told you
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: he wanted to marry this new woman. He didn't or
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: hasn't told you that he wanted to marry you lately,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: has he? So I suggest you ask, you know, don't
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you deserve to be happy? What do you think you
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: should do? Well? You need to get out of this
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: situation because he wants to marry someone else and have
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you on the side, which is exactly what he's doing. Steve. Well,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: when we come back and we'll break it down a
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: little bit further, I would really admire the point that
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: you made though this guy may want to have other children.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she doesn't see this. When I come back, thought,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what's really bring it. Bring it up,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: all right, we'll have part two of Steve's response, uh
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: coming out. I'm gonna let him have it too. Now,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: don't don't nobody be tight. Okay, okay, because I see
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: you know this, you know, thanks for having a child
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: for my man. Yeah, show you exactly exactly. I don't
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: see that. All right. Well again, Steve, you're gonna bring
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: it with part two of your response coming up today
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: subject thanks for having a child from my man. We'll
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: be back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter, Thanks for having
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: a child from my man. Well, I don't have to
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: recap it because I didn't respond to it. But I've
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: just done. This woman had a relationship with this guy.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: She's thirty years old. She never wanted to have children.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Five years ago, she was in a great relationship, talking
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: about getting married, but he wanted kid. She didn't, so
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: y'all decided end of relationship. But you still loved each other.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: So two years later, after y'all broke up, y'all reconnected
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and started seeing each other off and on since then, well,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: while we've been spending time together, he started relationship. No, see,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: while we were spending time together, he started a relationship
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: with a new woman. That's not true. That's not true, sees.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: This is the first big lie in the letter. She
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: thinks that for two years this dude was sitting somewhere
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: sad and upset that they had broke up and wasn't
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: involved with nobody, So, she writes in the letter, because
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: this is a self serving woman, while we were spending
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: time together, he started relationship with a new woman. No,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: he was in a relationship with the new you woman.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Then y'all started spending time together. They had a child together,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and he couldn't be happier. He told me he wants
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: to marry this woman so this child can have a
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: kind of upbringing he had with both parents present. Now
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: she believes that since she got son, he wanted down
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to be able to get back together and getting married.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: He tells me every day he loves me. Why wouldn't
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: he want to be with me? If I were an
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: even woman, I could end this whole thing. Blah blah blah.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Even though I do not want to have children, I
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: can help him raise his sons. What do you think
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: I should do? I deserve to be happy to You
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: will never be happy destroying someone else's Let's just start that.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: You'll never be happy destroying someone else's. You're the most
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: self serving person I've heard from in a long time. You, lady,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you are what's the word. It's narcissist. Yeah, it's that
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: the word. You just like the president. It's all about you. See.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: So now you didn't want to have children, but you
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: think since he has a child, you can help him
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: raise his son. You don't even want no damn kids, right,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: So what's gonna make you the great mother? All of
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: a sudden, you still don't want kids, but now you
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: think you're gonna turn into the super mom over the
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: woman who had the baby? Are you kidding me? Are
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: you kidding me? You're very self serving. You didn't want children,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: so you didn't want children, so you broke up. You
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: couldn't say, you know what, we love each other enough,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: we should share a child. Now it's always about you.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: I don't want to and no kids, So we break
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: up two years. Lady, y'all reconnect now here in a relationship.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: You can believe that ain't a man sitting on the
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: sideline two years trying to get over no damn body.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: We get over women with women. Hello, we get over
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: women with women sitting up in the house sucking the
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: thumb because you're gonna we'll do that for a little while,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: but we're gonna take this thumb sucking and turn it
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: into something. Hello. Now he wants the family, she said.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: He wants to marry this girl who had the baby
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: because he wants the baby to have the same family
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: he had grown up, both parents present. You don't give
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: a damn about that. You want that to split up?
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Damn the again, you show exactly why you don't need you,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: because you want to take this opportunity for this child
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: to have a family in structure that this womanan wants
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: to create with this woman because you want to just
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: be so you won't break that up, so you can
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: help raise a child that you don't even won't you
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: don't even want kids, but so you could be happy.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: You want to break it up. Now you say you
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: could break them up because you got some evidence, pictures,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: text all this hill. Yeah, you could do that. You
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: could break them up. But let me ask you a question.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: You don't think that he'll remember that. You don't think
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that when y'all sitting around having a couple of arguments.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: You don't think that when y'all sitting up trying to
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: make these bills work. You don't think when real life kicking,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: when the honeymoon section is over. You don't think he
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: gonna remember the fact that you sent some pictures that
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: destroyed what he really wanted to have. Now he over
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: there with you with a baby that you don't won't
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: you do? I want children his? You don't even want
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: your own. If you don't want your own children, I
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: to hell, you're supposed to want somebody else's. I'm just
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: asking so one more time. You are the most served,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: self serving woman. And like Shirley said, suppose this man
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: want to have another child. You ain't it again, You're out.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Then you you deserve to be happy. To well, go
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: find you a man that don't want no kids? It's
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: a bunch of him. But go back to chapter two,
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: verse eighteen. We get over get over women with other women. Man,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: we don't hey, how we don't side. We don't go therapy. Now,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: we don't go up in the mountains to find ourselves.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Now we get another one of y'all who can do
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the same thing. Y'all do make me feel like you do,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: and we go to getting over it just like that. Man,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: we gotta soaking, no tub, drinking, no wine, getting no
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: good book, going to girls trust while we go to
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Vegas and fixed it. They don't discount the sucking in
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: the tub and all of that. Now that's good stuff
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: right there, discounting for a man, your man soaking a
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: tub to find himself with somebody crying in our wine
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: and all that. That's all good. Called me, I'm soaking.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: He just broke up with somebody. When candle I get
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: is that your toes coming out of baby bubble? Man,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: I'm trying to get over something. Man, leave me man

- 1:10:34Speaker 1: Thanksgiving meal? Man? I had? I had duck for Thanksgiving.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Oh that's okay, to make delicious. Well, it's absolutely I
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: had the best duck at this. I can't think restaurant.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: It was at the Imrige Palace. It was Chinese restaurant.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: That's where we had Thanksgiving DNA. Hey, all right, well
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: the last day left is today, okay today, throw them
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: away after all right, But that's just you know, that's
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: a guideline. And if your food starts to stink before then,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: the FDA says throw it away. Yeah you need to
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: tell that too, Yeah, gotta throw it away. But anyway,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Da says four days, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: That's about Yeah, that's I threw all my way to
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: really by Sunday if it's Thursday. If by saying that,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: take that's a bit much. I don't know. Well Thursday,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: what's what's today? Tuesday? Yes, not longer than four days
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: and it's Thursday. Yeah, Well, that dressing can stay a
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: little bit longer than when looks real raggedy. That's when
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: it's down with the foils stopping with the foil right here,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: anything you dipping out refrigerated starting to stick to the
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: side and the container. Yeah, let it go, let it go,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: let it go. Yeah. So this Christmas, someone get I
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: told my wife, I said, baby, you got to get

- 1:13:00Speaker 1: things you say to yourself when you look in the
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: mirror and you're out of shape. And number four, dang,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: she used to be blank and she's let herself go.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: All right, let's spin it. Let's yeah, which one. It
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: looks like it's gonna stop on the mine. No, it
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: stopped to three. Things you say to yourself when you
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: look in the mirror and you're out of shape? Yeah, yourself.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Things you say yourself yourself when you look in the mirror,

- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I've had those moments, so yeah, Jake didn't you say
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: to yourself when you know you? Uh, what is it
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: when you're looking in the mirror and you're out of shape? Yeah,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I'm not going to this cleaners anymore because they are shrinking.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: My damn, I know they are. I know they're shrinking. Yea,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: when you out to shape that beer, you need to
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: build your confidence up. Let's say something like that. She
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: like it though she likes things you say to yourself.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: You're in the mirror. Okay, uh oh? She and the
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: way don't mean, ain't no way I'm having sex without
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: this shirt on. Damn, I'm gonna tie this in and

- 1:16:03Speaker 1: You're standing the neckt in the mirror. Oh hell no,
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Here go to soap, a little piece of shower you
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: find it? Alright, alright, I think we have time for
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: one more round. Yeah all right? Why am I weezing
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: just because I got out the shower. That don't make
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: no exhausted, I'm tired, clean clean. So here's things you
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: say right here, you put your drawers on you say
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: I'm wearing thongs. Now that's what it ended up being. Yeah,

- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Ain't no need it? You know, I don't know why
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: you're getting into this serious? Are you talking about the
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: one that orders the tree? Yeah, it's getting balled in.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Tell them how I go. It's getting bought in. It's
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: already been growing three years. It's picked out, it's gonna
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: get bought in, been growing up. I'm three years. I
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: don't really know. I don't really know. You're tight about
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: it though. When we talk about the Christmas tree, it's
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: been yeah, and it's been growing for three years. Well,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: we picked it out three years ago. Were picking out
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: every three when we when we pick a tree, we
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: know in three years that's the one we want. It's
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: a program. Listen into this. I'm not gonna get into
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: this with y'all every year. But there hate you already
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: know what this tree didn't look like in my house.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Let's stop all bit yo tree, Yes my tree, yo tree,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: yo yo yo yo king size mat tree. We stay
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: with the tree the bedroom. Stay with the tree. Come on,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: come on, my Christmas treat comes. It's gonna be to
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the ceiling. Yeah, okay, period that what you're depending on
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: which house we put it in. Can I ask your
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Christmas look like it's gonna be here? That I can't
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: say yet? Okay? Can I ask one question? Yeah? Do
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: you so the tree is three years old? So each
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: year do you go visit the tree? Go? No, you're
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: about two more years. Dogs and your asses out of here.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: It's just a program you can get on. You can
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: watch your tree grow. They're just sitting your reports. You
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: don't got to go nowhere. So the tree is coming
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: from where Oregon? What I'll tell you what, man, they
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: got some great trees in North Carolina. Thh boy, Mine
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: kind of like yours. Like it's come from about the
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: same place where you come from. Mine come from Walmart.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: But they got one in the Oregon they got hey, Junior,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: just have them just them sitting your tree down from
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: the Walmart and that, but from so Hey, mine was
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: in a box. That's cool. You do, real tree, You
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: have real tree. Obviously it has to be looking like
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: the one at the mall that I wanted when I
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: was a kid. Yeah, that's how I'm getting the kid.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: You not, I was poor. That was one of my requirements. Man,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Why do I have to come to this mall to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: see the prettiest tree I've ever seen. I'm gonnahead that
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: in my house soon as I get me some money.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Feel on the field. Let's let's stop all the Hayden
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: tree is coming. I'm happy for it. I'm gonna be.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I'm there the whole time they putting it in. Well,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: they first of all, when they bring the tree and
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: they bring it down, they put the lights on it first. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Down at the company here in La they put the
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: lights on it first, they light it. Then they put
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: it on the flatbed and they bring it out and
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: they build they build a stand for it out there.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: When when they put the lights on it, then they
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: denigrate it at the house. You know, black folks just
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: finding this out for the third time. We don't know
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: nothing about this. But when you get a tree it's
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: in Oregon, they bringing in, they put the lights on it.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Margerie researched all this funny after I told her what
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I had to have. Oh okay, Tommy, you all right,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: because I'm I'm taking her back a little bit the
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: street hate because he had to shad he'd vote some
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: damn tree then it ain't biggest man now here. We
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: come in every damn our calling competition about the church
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: every year call. We can have a tree off. I
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: got two trees. We have a tree off. You can
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: have two three, you can put them wherever you want to.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: You're fitting to lose this boy. Okay, let's okay, this
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: tree off. Okay, okay, this grown man ass mask. Now,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I'm just telling you where did you come from? Tommy nameless?
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: But let's go. We're gonna have let's go. How tall
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: do it have to be for him to have to
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: look up? Five right there? And how tall already? How
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: tall is yours? Right? There's way past double digits. I
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: ain't had a tea in my house under sixteen feet long? Wow?
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Hate going with this tree off? Now you have a
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: tree off? No, I got when your wife. Y'all got
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: nice little set up now at your house with trees.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: And you know what I don't like how you say
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: that the kid and he said house and we all
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: know it's a chateau. Okay, it's all because Tommy just
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: said We're gonna have a tree off. It's gonna get up.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: That's just a little fun little thing to do. Now.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: I don't see nothing wrong with that. No, ain't nothing
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: wrong with it. Get your ass is yours up? Tommy? Yeah?
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Both of them up? Yeah? Okay, I know you're stack
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: You can stack them on top of each other quick
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: to y'all could play with me. When did George go up? Tommy?
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: When did George go up? Steve? Well, not not mine
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: normally go up for Thanksgiving, but we wasn't here for
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: thanks right, and we were debating on where we were
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: gonna be. But since we got the grandkids, that's been
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: a change of plans. It's on the way. Oh okay, wow,
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: this this, this don't remind y'all of the race the
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: tree crash, talking dance. Shut up. Yes, you always getting
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: into something off. I'm just saying, all right, we're gonna
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: have a tree off. Okay, we're gonna have a tree off.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: When when? When should we present our trees? Soon? As
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: soon as mine? Get up? Okay, see a big dog
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: tree get up. Yeah. We'll be back with more of
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. The tree Office. Yeah,
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, Steve. Today is Giving Tuesday.

- 1:25:19Speaker 1: especially Black Friday and of course Cyber Monday. The idea
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: is to mark the beginning of the charitable season and
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: to encourage people to give to organizations and charities that
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: are doing good. And here are a few ways you
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: can get involved. Can I tell everybody about what I'm
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: doing today on Giving Tuesday? Yeah, let me tell you.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: I've teamed up with the Star of Hope Mission and

- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Text Star of Hope to four one four four four.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: And I'm doing that all day to day hashtag Given
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: Tuesday and went to get that out right here the show.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: Ye how about you guys? Oh, every year I go
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: and pay on somebody these layaways without and knowing who
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: it is. Just ye just pay on it. You know
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: when they picked up this paid for maybe by four
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: five of them. You know I didn't. That's really good,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: both of you guys. Yeah. Well, this year, I just
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: want to make a note that my foundation, I'm buying
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: ten families Christmas up to one thousand dollars a piece
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: in Memphis, Tennessee. This year. This is my sixth year
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: doing this, my sixth year, and this year it's in Memphis.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Last year was Austin. This year's Memphis. So the houses too.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: I know that we're gonna have it at the National
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: Black Museum Historical Museum, and we're going to the house. No, no,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: I'm going to I always got some. I'm just gonna
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: have everybody come to one play. Yeah, yeah, hey, I
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: don't want to say that, but here come what he's
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: doing his ass over here? Oh you gonna eat it?
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: What you mean? You ain't never had no supply food
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: and everything. Let me put this out. But I don't
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: want to say that. Yeah, I know, I know what
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: that is. You y'all come down to the center here.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: He's individual house real quick, man. I did that one year. Man,
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: long time ago, I went to some houses, got hummed
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: up in him. You know, where you getting in. Its
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: damn near a hostage situation. Hold on, man, always I
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: killed you, not I killed you. This this honestly happened
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: one year. This is about probably fifteen years ago. I
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: go try to help these families out right. The dude
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: need me to spend some time with his grandmama. The
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: dude goes under the hood of my car and just
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: loosens the battery cable. So now when I go out,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: I can't start the car. So he said, Man, just
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: gonna spend a little bit of time my grandmama. Get
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: somebody over here, just get your car straight out for you.
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: So I go back in. Now I'm sitting there, I'm
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: watching TV. Man, even pound cake. I'm just waiting on
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: this triple A to comp I look out the window. Man,
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: the dude under my hood, he just tightened the battery cable.
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: That's all. It was true story, man, because he wanted
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: me to spend some more time with his grandmoma. I
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: wasn't night he killed all visits to people's high sitting
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: up in here gonna be hotstituate your grandmama's sitting up
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: in here eating a dry ass pound cake. All right,
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show, all right, Steve. Mississippi's
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: special runoff election for US Senate is today. Democratic candidate
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: Mike Espy is running against his opponent, Republican racist sy Yeah. Republican. Yeah,
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: you're about saying it right, And you know what, We've
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: got to get out really in the state of Mississippi
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: and support this man. But man, the things that this
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: woman has said, that things this woman has condoned, the
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: things she stands for, the fact that Trump won't say
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: anything about except she's the candidate. It just, man, this
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: guy just doesn't care at all, man, about the condition
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: of the feelings of oppressed people in this country. Y'all
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: get out in vote in the state of Mississippi for
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: Mike spet today just to runoff. Man. You can do it, Mississippi,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Come on, you can do it. You've overcome a lot
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: in that state and you've got you've got a statement
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: of your own that you get a chance to make
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: today that we will no longer allow this type of
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: rhetoric to be uh condoned by us. That's right, I mean,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: and it's a great statement that you all can make
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: concerning this man, and I hope you all do. Man,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: get out to the polls and vote. You know, I
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: wasn't like really angry with the voter turnout this year
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: in the midterms in Florida, in Georgia where Stacy loss
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: and and you know what, wasn't upset about to turn out.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: I think people really turned out. Um the other party,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: it's dangerously committed to keeping things as they are. This
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: listen to me, y'all. This make America great against men
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: has taken a bigger foothold than you can imagine. And
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: you've got to be careful of this statement and make
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: America great again because that's a reference to going back
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: to a time gone by. Yeah, hey, Steve, I wanted
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: to let you know you weren't here yesterday, but Mike
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: Esby was our special guest and he had a lot
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: to say about today's elections as well election as well.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: Take a listen, and I want to remind everyone on
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: that in nineteen eighty six, I was like fresh face,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: thirty year old, had never run any office in my life,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: and I ran for Congress fund from the second district
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: of the first black to win that Tea sence of
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: the war. So we've done this before, we've done this before,
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: We're going to do it again. We need to college
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: kids to definitely get out though millennials. You're right, Tommy, Yeah,
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: they've got to get out. And now they have a reason,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: you know, beyond just my core mission and my purpose statements.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: They need to get out because she's telling them that
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: they're both need to be suppressed. That's right, they've got
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: to just now it's first there you have it, Mike Espy,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: get out and encouraging the folks to get out vote
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: as well. Steve, Yeah, everybody in Mississippi. We got to
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: turn out. And some great people in the state of Mississippi.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: You know, we're joking on this here, but on seriousness, man,
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: it's some really, really cool people in the state of
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: the sipp and we're just not having it no more.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: You know. You we've been down there, man, been the
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: bunny end of the jokes and everything. But it has
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: been rough down there too. Now that it's it's very
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: very real, the way that they've conducted business as usual
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: in the state of Mississippi. It's been rough. But there's
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: some people that down there that stay holed that's where
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: they live. That's what they love, you know, they love
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: going down that do it and family unions. And these
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: are people and that's where we're born. You can't take
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: people's homes from them. But what we will not stand
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: for anymore, you know, look him a woman but endorsing
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: public n and if she has said this about any
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: other racial group. Come on now, come on, all right,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day. I think
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: we're gonna just let Steve have this one. Coming up.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: Steve's closing remarks at forty nine after the hour. You're
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: listening here we are, last break of the day. Guys,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: It's been a good Tuesday, yet, Tuesday the big dog
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: is back. Yes, Steve, we missed mixed emotion. Yeah, got
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: a word from Mississippi. I'm back man, Yeah, Mississippi. We
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: gotta turn out and vote today for Mike sp Uh.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: You know, we really got to make a statement. But
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: we're just sick of this hateful rhetoric. Man, We are
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: so sick of people being allowed. You know, Donald Trump,
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: well you know what was crazy, man, The moral barometer
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: just got lord when he ran for president. Because I
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: really thought that when he made a couple of statements
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: that that was gonna end it, especially when he said
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: he would grab women by the pee. I thought for sure.
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: I said, okay, cool, that's it. And I was out
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: the country and the subject came up, and with a
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: lot of different ambassadors I was sitting with, and it
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: was just crazy, man. They all felt the same way.
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: But something has happened in this country to where it's
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: now okay to verbally say out loud what you've been thinking,
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: which has given us another sneak preview of how you
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: really feel and have been feeling all along. And so
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: now what we've got to do is we've got to
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: send a message that that's not allowable, that that's not
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: how the majority of us really do feel. And we
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: have a chance to send that message today in the
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: state of Mississippi, which could use some good news like this.
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: I mean, look, man, Mississippi has got some great people
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: in it. It really really does. All jokes aside, it does. Now.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: It's been through some things. That state is tough, man,
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: that's a rough place to live and grow up and
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: have to to deal with everything. They refused to remove
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: the Federate flag and so forth and so on. But
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: we have a right to vote. There are enough people
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: in the state of Mississippi, clearly who could give this
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: guy a win and send a message to this hateful
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: woman that joking about attending a public hanging and noose
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: is being hung in front of the state Capitol and
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: and all these negative remarks, and that's blatant racism. It's
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: not acceptable. It's just not it's not. You're right, it's not.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: That run is over, and we have a chance to
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: make that run over two days. Yeah, Yeah, And Steve,
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: don't forget in Birmingham at the sixteenth Street Baptist Church
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: down there, Attorney Benjamin Crump, family member to the Steve
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Attorney Crump, the NAACP and the family
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: of E. J. Bradford Junior will have a community town
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: hall meeting. EJ. Bradford Junior was a young man who
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: was gunned down by police in the mall in Alabama
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: because he was trying to stop a shooting and the
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: police thought he was the actual gunman gunned him down.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: The police department admitted they made a mistake, but of
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: course he's still dead. EJ. Bradford Junior sad, sad situation
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: down there they're having a town hall meeting tonight six
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Central admitting you made a mistake. Okay, got it, here's
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: a deal. There are consequences with mistakes that are made.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: There are still consequences. Every mistake I've made came with
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: a consequence. And I ain't never shot nobody, but all
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: my mistakes come with consequences. You cannot live in this
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: world and make mistakes as an adult without consequences, and
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: especially when what you did cost the life of someone.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: The problem that we keep having over and over and
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: over is the lack of consequences when an officer makes
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: a mistake quote unquote mistake. Okay, look, you're training, whatever
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: it is got to come into play. Now. If all
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: your training keep allowing you to make these mistakes, to hell,
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: we haven't training for right. But here's the ugly part
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: of the mistakes. The mistakes keep happening to the same
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: people that ain't a mistake caused. It's black dudes, young
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: black men, older black men. It keeps the mistakes keep
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: happening to that one group of people. So at one
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: point in time, I got to ask myself, man, how
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: many times we gotta make the same mistake? But there
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: be no consequences, So you fire, you get to retire
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: from the police department. To guy to kill Mike Brown,
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: what happened to him? He just a policeman no more. Ferguson,
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: He's not a policeman anymore. What happened to George Zimmerman?
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: He just he free, he got off. What happened to
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: the guy that choked out the man selling the cigarettes
