- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them just like amazing bus things. And it's not
- 0:19Speaker 1: doing me good. Star to star, I don't join jo.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn out. You gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out, got to turn them out, to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water. Come come on your baby,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I shall well, I come on and everybody
- 2:05Speaker 1: you are listening to the voice, come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: here we go. You know what's important, What's what can
- 2:21Speaker 1: be a huge part of your success is if you
- 2:25Speaker 1: if you find a balance, if you find a balance
- 2:30Speaker 1: in your life. That's that's been very important for me.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And I've really never phrased it this way until now,
- 2:38Speaker 1: but I was kind of thinking about it after my
- 2:41Speaker 1: wife and I mean we set up one night recently. Man.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know, I often come on here and this is
- 2:46Speaker 1: kind of an inspirational moment of the show, and I
- 2:49Speaker 1: try to remind people about that most important relationship between
- 2:54Speaker 1: you and God. And that's that's the apex of it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's that's the that's the top of the crime. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: gott to form the relationship with God. If you don't,
- 3:03Speaker 1: everything else struggles. It's hard to be a good husband
- 3:06Speaker 1: without God. It's hard to be a good family man
- 3:08Speaker 1: without God. It's hard to be successful without God. Man,
- 3:12Speaker 1: it's hard to be hard to get through this thing
- 3:14Speaker 1: called life without God. So that's clear. But at the
- 3:19Speaker 1: same time, you can't talk about God. Twenty four seven.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You got to go to work. Come on, man, let's
- 3:25Speaker 1: just be real. I ain't your past, and I ain't
- 3:27Speaker 1: at your church, but let's just be real about it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: You know, if people tell you got to keep your
- 3:33Speaker 1: mind stayed on Him and all like that, that's that's
- 3:35Speaker 1: a true statement. Gott to keep your mind stayed in
- 3:38Speaker 1: that area. I don't not here to tell you how
- 3:40Speaker 1: to live, but you got to keep your mind stayed
- 3:41Speaker 1: in that area of God, of doing the right thing,
- 3:44Speaker 1: caring about people. That's what I took it as. Now,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I could be wrong. I apologize if I'm not saying
- 3:49Speaker 1: that the way you've been taught. I can only do
- 3:51Speaker 1: me now. But after that, you got to go to work.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You gotta have some fun. You gotta take care of
- 3:58Speaker 1: your business and that's the balance you have to find
- 4:03Speaker 1: so it once you focus on showing up your relationship
- 4:07Speaker 1: with God, you got you gotta balance this now. Now
- 4:13Speaker 1: you got to allocate some time I don't care who
- 4:16Speaker 1: you are, for your family. If you're gonna have a family,
- 4:19Speaker 1: you got to allocate some time for them. See, we
- 4:22Speaker 1: can't just marry these women or make these kids and
- 4:26Speaker 1: then neglect them. And fellas, especially if I'm talking to
- 4:30Speaker 1: me about him, Ladies, you can listen to but listen.
- 4:33Speaker 1: If you find yourself struggling in your life, man, and
- 4:36Speaker 1: you can't seem to get it together, let's just go
- 4:38Speaker 1: over a couple of things. The first two things, if
- 4:41Speaker 1: you find yourself struggling, you can't seem to pull it
- 4:44Speaker 1: together and reach your goals and get to where you
- 4:46Speaker 1: want to go. Let's just do a check how is
- 4:51Speaker 1: your relationship with God? And then next how much time
- 4:56Speaker 1: are you taking to allocate for your family? Now, your
- 5:00Speaker 1: family don't always live in your house, but if you
- 5:04Speaker 1: made them, they yours and the responsibility to them is
- 5:08Speaker 1: never lessing because you don't stay that no more. Because
- 5:11Speaker 1: you and the girl broke up, you and the woman
- 5:14Speaker 1: don't speak a man that don't ever release you from
- 5:17Speaker 1: the obligation feel me when I'm telling you this now,
- 5:21Speaker 1: because I'm not telling you something I'm wondering about. I've
- 5:24Speaker 1: had to live through them years. So two things you
- 5:28Speaker 1: can start looking at. If you're not where you want
- 5:30Speaker 1: to be, and you ain't, you ain't really solid. You
- 5:32Speaker 1: can't figure out why you keep spending your wills. Have
- 5:34Speaker 1: you just done a random inventory? Man? Have you just
- 5:37Speaker 1: checked on your relationship with God? Have you checked on
- 5:40Speaker 1: the time you spending dedicated towards your family, your children
- 5:44Speaker 1: that you've created? If them two things is out of
- 5:46Speaker 1: saint man, that I can tell you right now, you
- 5:49Speaker 1: can go on and get to explain in yourself away
- 5:52Speaker 1: just like that. A man, how come you ain't where
- 5:55Speaker 1: you want to be? I'm couz man, I really ain't.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But if you really ain't, then you really ain't. The
- 6:00Speaker 1: third thing is you got to allocate the necessary time
- 6:05Speaker 1: for your business. You got to handle your business. All
- 6:10Speaker 1: of this, man, is the way it works, and the
- 6:15Speaker 1: order the order is God first, family second. Then you
- 6:23Speaker 1: got to handle all your business. But as me, and
- 6:26Speaker 1: this is what we do. If I don't handle my business,
- 6:30Speaker 1: I can't take care of my family. True statement. But
- 6:33Speaker 1: if your business is in front of your family, you
- 6:36Speaker 1: out of order. Nah. That's all we're talking about, now,
- 6:39Speaker 1: ain't it. See that's that's all we really saying here now,
- 6:42Speaker 1: fellas you know, you know, I mean, I mean, come on, man,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you know, let's let's have a real conversation about being better.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You know, if you have created these children, you got
- 6:51Speaker 1: to handle your business. You may not like the girl
- 6:54Speaker 1: no more. You and the woman might have broken up,
- 6:56Speaker 1: y'all might go your own way, But what that got
- 6:58Speaker 1: to do with the child though? Man, you got to
- 7:00Speaker 1: handle your business. They got to know who daddy is.
- 7:02Speaker 1: That's your obligation, man, And God ain't letting you off
- 7:05Speaker 1: the hook for that. Try it, Go ahead and try it,
- 7:08Speaker 1: and thank you. Gonna get off the hook with that
- 7:10Speaker 1: because you're not man, You just not. I'm sorry, man,
- 7:16Speaker 1: dog Steve, why are you coming like that? Because I
- 7:19Speaker 1: did it like that. I did it, man. I was
- 7:22Speaker 1: over here trying to reshape my life, getting myself up
- 7:25Speaker 1: on my feet when I was a homeless man and
- 7:27Speaker 1: trying to come back. Man, I thought I had to
- 7:29Speaker 1: take care of me first and then so I can
- 7:31Speaker 1: neglect it, cared about them kids. Man, that ain't high work. Man,
- 7:34Speaker 1: God CalPERS knee on my neck for a long time
- 7:37Speaker 1: for that one right there, until I finally learned the
- 7:39Speaker 1: lesson hold up, man, put these phone calls in, Go
- 7:44Speaker 1: spend some time, do something. And then it started turning
- 7:47Speaker 1: around for me. You know, I can't beat there all
- 7:50Speaker 1: the time because I am out here on the ground
- 7:52Speaker 1: in the hustle. But at the same time, Man, some
- 7:54Speaker 1: more phone calls, some more letters, somemo, hahah he he's something,
- 8:01Speaker 1: Then take care of your business man. You got to
- 8:03Speaker 1: work hard to be successful. You know. Sometimes I don't
- 8:07Speaker 1: put that in there. I just live in and I
- 8:08Speaker 1: expect my sons to emulate that. But I gotta talk
- 8:11Speaker 1: to him all the time. How hard you got to
- 8:14Speaker 1: work to be something. It's all out of salt on it. Man.
- 8:18Speaker 1: If you gotta target in mind, you gotta go. You
- 8:20Speaker 1: gotta wake up every day trying to get there. And
- 8:23Speaker 1: you can't get tired of it because it's it's it
- 8:28Speaker 1: never ends. You're gonna always be this way. That's how
- 8:31Speaker 1: life is designed and set up. You got to be
- 8:34Speaker 1: a hard worker, man. If you're always looking for some
- 8:37Speaker 1: time to chill and man, I want to go do it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I want to do you ain't gonna make it. In
- 8:43Speaker 1: order to be successful, you have to do a series
- 8:45Speaker 1: of things that you're uncomfortable doing, and work is the
- 8:49Speaker 1: thing that most of us are uncomfortable doing. It's so
- 8:52Speaker 1: much easier to chill, man. I wish I could kick
- 8:55Speaker 1: back with a cigar man all the time, but I can't, man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: and I can't because I got to work. Then the
- 9:08Speaker 1: last piece of the balance balance piece is you gotta
- 9:12Speaker 1: take some time out to enjoy yourself. But if you
- 9:15Speaker 1: ain't where you want to be, you ain't got a
- 9:18Speaker 1: lot of time to enjoy yourself. Quit thinking, man, that
- 9:22Speaker 1: this balance is even. It's a whole lot of God,
- 9:26Speaker 1: a whole lot of family, a whole lot of business,
- 9:29Speaker 1: and a little bit of chilling. The chilling can't be
- 9:33Speaker 1: equal to the family, the business, or your God. If
- 9:36Speaker 1: the chilling is equal to any of them, you ain't
- 9:39Speaker 1: gonna make it. Quit chilling, man, and go to work
- 9:43Speaker 1: like a man. Do what you post to do. Work
- 9:45Speaker 1: on your family, work on your relationship, work on your God,
- 9:49Speaker 1: work on your business. And then when you chill, you
- 9:51Speaker 1: might not chill is long, but your show gonna chill bigger,
- 9:54Speaker 1: You're gonna ball bigger. Baby, you're listening, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:02Speaker 1: It is here to Steve Harvey Morning Show, Live and well.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Full of gratitude today, baby full of it. Woke up
- 10:11Speaker 1: this morning doing my meditation, and I got back to
- 10:15Speaker 1: it this morning because I missed it a couple of days.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Starting my day saying thank you Lord for everything, and
- 10:22Speaker 1: I spent about seven minutes at it and just refresh
- 10:25Speaker 1: it just so much better. Man, He's done so much
- 10:27Speaker 1: for me. I have so much to be grateful for now.
- 10:30Speaker 1: All the things I'm trying to accomplish steal, of course,
- 10:33Speaker 1: are the things I'm wanting for, of course, omissions and
- 10:36Speaker 1: goals I want to accomplish, of course, of course, of course,
- 10:39Speaker 1: but I can't let that stop the gratitude for what
- 10:43Speaker 1: I have, because really, I'm way further up the road
- 10:47Speaker 1: than I ever thought i'd be telling, honest to God, true,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I really am. It's like he shot me out of
- 10:53Speaker 1: rocket ship. I don't know what I'm talking about. So Steve,
- 10:56Speaker 1: shut your stupid behind, uh, say thank you and get
- 11:00Speaker 1: on with your day. Charlie Starberry Colin for real, Mississippi
- 11:04Speaker 1: Monica nephew, Tommy, Charlie, Julian's out today. What's on your
- 11:08Speaker 1: mind today? Anything I can help you with? Well, I
- 11:10Speaker 1: don't know. Okay, I'm kind of torn. You know. I
- 11:14Speaker 1: don't have to get blood work done today, so it
- 11:17Speaker 1: makes me a little nervous all the time. Yeah, so
- 11:21Speaker 1: you know, I have to lie down and take it
- 11:23Speaker 1: and I can't see the needle or the blood or
- 11:25Speaker 1: I will pass out. So that's where I am. And
- 11:28Speaker 1: then my other thing is a cap too. I know
- 11:36Speaker 1: what you comm a phobia on a fear And he said,
- 11:44Speaker 1: all I gotta do look it all the way ahead.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And my other thing is, um, I want to color
- 11:52Speaker 1: my hair again and I can't decide what color. Okay, okay,
- 11:57Speaker 1: which one? Blood work or the haircut? Want blood work
- 12:00Speaker 1: is first. Let's look at it like this, because I
- 12:04Speaker 1: give blood work probably anybody on the show sometimes while
- 12:10Speaker 1: we're doing the show. Yeah, because I got it as it.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It can really help with the level of health you have,
- 12:23Speaker 1: knowing what your blood working numbers are. It can really
- 12:27Speaker 1: it can prolong your life if it finds something that
- 12:29Speaker 1: needs to be addressed. Yeah, overall health issues. So I
- 12:32Speaker 1: look at it like that. Oh, don't don't look at
- 12:36Speaker 1: the blood, don't look at the needle. I watch all
- 12:39Speaker 1: of it. I watched the blood going in, I watched
- 12:42Speaker 1: the needle going in. I gotta stay focused. I can't
- 12:44Speaker 1: be surprised that that right there. I don't need that
- 12:48Speaker 1: like that. So I watch everything, but you can't watch it,
- 12:51Speaker 1: and you'll be fine. Have color, I say blonde, Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I say platinum. It always looks sexy to me. And
- 13:03Speaker 1: I w a chick put a little bit calor got
- 13:05Speaker 1: the little blonde in her, or they might call it
- 13:08Speaker 1: all but the summer. I don't never know, but Monica
- 13:14Speaker 1: would use a hair color and put some sex in
- 13:16Speaker 1: its on her too, So I say, I say, some
- 13:19Speaker 1: blonde up in there, you know, put some lighter colors
- 13:22Speaker 1: up in it. Let it go all right? To tell me,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I sew your hand up what last time I got
- 13:27Speaker 1: blood drawn? I took those oculus things with me and
- 13:31Speaker 1: I watched a movie that way. I wouldn't see it.
- 13:33Speaker 1: If you oculars, gaggle, you got a girl, run that brank,
- 13:40Speaker 1: Run that brank coming up next right after day. You're
- 13:44Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, it's time to
- 13:48Speaker 1: run that prank. Back with the nephew, nephew, what you
- 13:50Speaker 1: got for us today? I don't want to ask you
- 13:53Speaker 1: for too much. I just need it for a day, okay, Uh,
- 13:57Speaker 1: we need you to be a slave for a day. Hey, Hey,
- 14:03Speaker 1: what's twenty four hours? What's twenty four hours? We're done
- 14:06Speaker 1: with that? Played for a day? Let's go. Hello. Hello,
- 14:11Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach to you, missus Glinda, please miss Glenda.
- 14:15Speaker 1: This is Gary. Gary. I'm with the Black History Okay.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You you you participated last year in the in the
- 14:22Speaker 1: Black History Parade? Am I right? Yes? I'm sure did. Okay.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I got your name from one of the members on
- 14:27Speaker 1: the committee, and we're trying to see if you can
- 14:29Speaker 1: actually build some help for this year's Black History Uh,
- 14:32Speaker 1: for this month. I should will be glad to help. Okay, listen,
- 14:37Speaker 1: we're having an auction tomorrow and wanted to see if
- 14:40Speaker 1: you could actually maybe build some help with the auction
- 14:42Speaker 1: that we actually have going on tomorrow. Yes, do I
- 14:46Speaker 1: need to donate anything or but no, no, we're not
- 14:51Speaker 1: really trying to get some donation from you this time.
- 14:53Speaker 1: We're trying to see if you have some time tomorrow
- 14:56Speaker 1: to come out and actually help out with the actual auction. Okay,
- 15:00Speaker 1: what time tomorrow? Probably like about nine o'clock in the morning.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I can do that, Okay. Now we're asking that you
- 15:06Speaker 1: wear something that you'll be comfortable in all day tomorrow possible, okay, okay,
- 15:11Speaker 1: pretty much an all day event that we're trying to
- 15:13Speaker 1: get you to do. Okay, I could be there around nine,
- 15:16Speaker 1: but then we have to leave about four. Well, I'll
- 15:18Speaker 1: tell you what. We'll see what we can, how we
- 15:20Speaker 1: can work it out, but we definitely want you to
- 15:22Speaker 1: come and be a part of what we're doing. So
- 15:24Speaker 1: what is it that you really need be to do? Um? Well, actually,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you know, we we we got a lot of people
- 15:29Speaker 1: doing different things at the you know, at the auction,
- 15:32Speaker 1: you know, so we just want you to come out
- 15:34Speaker 1: and be of some help with everything that's going on. Okay, well,
- 15:37Speaker 1: I want to be prepared. So what exactly do I
- 15:39Speaker 1: need to do? Work the concessions stand something like that. No, really,
- 15:43Speaker 1: what we had is actually you being a part of
- 15:46Speaker 1: the auction, of being a part of the auction such
- 15:49Speaker 1: as well, what we're doing tomorrow is we have already
- 15:53Speaker 1: we already have fifty people who are signed up and
- 15:55Speaker 1: you would be you know one of those people that
- 15:58Speaker 1: are that are that are signed up to do the
- 16:00Speaker 1: actual What is is we're having slaves for a day,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and what we're gonna be doing is auctioning you off
- 16:06Speaker 1: and somebody's gonna buy you tomorrow and you will be
- 16:09Speaker 1: there for the day. Slaves. Yeah, you will be the
- 16:13Speaker 1: slave for the day. That's what That's what we've decided
- 16:16Speaker 1: to do with the Black history. We decided I didn't
- 16:18Speaker 1: mean I don't I want to participate, but being a
- 16:22Speaker 1: slave no, okay, But see what you what I want
- 16:26Speaker 1: you to understand that this is a word that calls
- 16:28Speaker 1: though you know, we want were the calls, but I'm
- 16:30Speaker 1: not gonna be no play Well, well you I mean
- 16:33Speaker 1: you don't have to call it a slave. I mean
- 16:34Speaker 1: as a servant, you know, a butler. You know what
- 16:37Speaker 1: I mean when you want to call it, I'm just saying, no,
- 16:41Speaker 1: I ain't gonna be a slave. Okay, okay, man man,
- 16:44Speaker 1: miss miss Glena. What I'm trying to explain to you
- 16:46Speaker 1: this is a word to call for the Black history,
- 16:48Speaker 1: and we're trying to get you to be there. Somebody
- 16:50Speaker 1: may buy you for five hundred dollars tomorrow. No I'm
- 16:53Speaker 1: not gonna do it, okay, are you? Are you? Are
- 16:57Speaker 1: you turning us down for a word that calls miss Glen, Yes,
- 17:00Speaker 1: I am turning your down. Don't call me with that
- 17:03Speaker 1: kind of no more. I mean, I don't understand what
- 17:05Speaker 1: the problem is. You don't. Sometimes we got to repeat history,
- 17:09Speaker 1: so we don't go back to the history. Sometimes we
- 17:11Speaker 1: got to do it again so we don't go back
- 17:13Speaker 1: to what you understand. But it isn't seem like you.
- 17:15Speaker 1: You're asking like a housene grow or something like you
- 17:19Speaker 1: two up at your Housney grow house, nee grow? Who's
- 17:23Speaker 1: the chairman of this? Excuse me the chairman? Last time
- 17:26Speaker 1: I spoke with mister Wilson and we didn't have no
- 17:30Speaker 1: like this, okay, and I understand that. But what I'm
- 17:32Speaker 1: trying to explain to you is this is something that
- 17:33Speaker 1: I don't want you to explain a thing to me.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Do not call me with this kind of again. Are
- 17:38Speaker 1: you gonna show up tomorrow? We can sell you? Do
- 17:41Speaker 1: you understand me? Are you gonna show up tomorrow so
- 17:43Speaker 1: we can sell you? We already have you. We're gonna say,
- 17:46Speaker 1: I mean, we aren't listened to be sold tomorrow sall, Yo,
- 17:50Speaker 1: we've got you listened to be sold tomorrow, ma'am, can
- 17:53Speaker 1: we please make shoot on me sold? And you not
- 17:56Speaker 1: call you again? Hey, listen, if you don't show up tomorrow,
- 17:59Speaker 1: then we will come to your house and sell you there.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Come too, if I got to come out, you will
- 18:06Speaker 1: come to my house over here. If you want to listen,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I will come there to sell you. If you're not
- 18:11Speaker 1: gonna come out to the auction, come on to my house.
- 18:14Speaker 1: You're bad. Come on to my mouse. Okay, I'll tell you,
- 18:16Speaker 1: and you know what I need you to do this.
- 18:18Speaker 1: You need to start saying yes sir and no sir
- 18:20Speaker 1: to me right now. Okay, I need to get you
- 18:22Speaker 1: in the in the frame of mind just being a
- 18:24Speaker 1: crave for to day. Okay, I didn't hear what you said.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Kiss my black I'm coming to your house tomorrow and
- 18:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna sell you in front of your house. If
- 18:34Speaker 1: you want to come down to the auction tomorrow morning,
- 18:37Speaker 1: nine o'clock, you better not bring you my house. Do
- 18:40Speaker 1: you better not? Do you understand me? I had a
- 18:43Speaker 1: march for civil rights. I don't have time for no
- 18:47Speaker 1: like that, and we got a black man for president.

- 21:19Speaker 1: drink and ended up sleeping with a guy that is
- 21:22Speaker 1: a distant cousin of mine. He's a white guy, so
- 21:26Speaker 1: I never would have guessed it. He wants to see
- 21:28Speaker 1: me again. Should we take a DNA test first? What? Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 1: a distant cousin. Should they take a test first? But
- 21:38Speaker 1: he's white? It happens. I don't. I don't know where

- 22:03Speaker 1: I don't take all of them are tests? You know,
- 22:05Speaker 1: all like that, because I don't want it if I
- 22:07Speaker 1: find out that I got a white relative somewhere and
- 22:12Speaker 1: all this hell, I've been catching your as sitting over there,

- 22:53Speaker 1: Please Lord, Please Lord, God Father, God Man. Like if

- 23:08Speaker 1: Uncle Bill, But I'll be making a scene about it.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I'll be on crying and stuff. Uncle. By what my

- 23:45Speaker 1: So should she take the test man? Hell? No? What

- 24:12Speaker 1: Yeah to Shana and Albany. Shanna writes, my mother has
- 24:17Speaker 1: been taking my husband to work since he let her
- 24:19Speaker 1: borrow his car. Her brakes are in bad shape, so
- 24:22Speaker 1: he didn't mind helping her out, But he's irritated because
- 24:26Speaker 1: she expects gas money from him every week? Is she
- 24:29Speaker 1: right or wrong? Wait a minute, whose car is it?
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's her dad's car. The mother has been taking the
- 24:37Speaker 1: husband's car. I mean, her mother has been taking her
- 24:41Speaker 1: husband's car. She's been borrowing the car, got it, okay?
- 24:47Speaker 1: The woman who wrote is Shana. Her mother has been
- 24:49Speaker 1: taking her husband's car and borrowing her car and d
- 24:53Speaker 1: and he's been dropping her husband off in his car.
- 24:58Speaker 1: But but the brakes are in bad so he didn't
- 25:00Speaker 1: mind helping her out. But he's irritated because she expects
- 25:03Speaker 1: gas money from him every week. Is she right here? Yes,
- 25:08Speaker 1: it's his card that she's borrowing. She's taking him to work,
- 25:11Speaker 1: and she wants gas money. She wants to know right
- 25:17Speaker 1: well you know she old. No, old people don't care.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Now when I care you to work, it's for then
- 25:26Speaker 1: I got to care myself back over him. I'm gonna
- 25:29Speaker 1: need some gas money. But the last time you've been
- 25:32Speaker 1: dropped off though, yeah, dropped off and somebody leaves have
- 25:41Speaker 1: a driver because you don't drive well you know what
- 25:43Speaker 1: I mean, though, just dropped off and I get dropped
- 25:46Speaker 1: off all the time. But your ass ain't going nowhere? No,
- 25:51Speaker 1: you leave me at a location then I want to
- 25:54Speaker 1: go now and now I got to wait up man, Please, seriously,
- 25:58Speaker 1: I ain't having any pardon now, but you know what
- 26:03Speaker 1: the old see, dude, Bro, you would have to put
- 26:09Speaker 1: gas in your car to go to work anyway, whether
- 26:13Speaker 1: you let somebody else use it or not. But come
- 26:17Speaker 1: on now, but bro, it's your mother in law. You
- 26:20Speaker 1: know how they are. Yeah, yeah, that's true. She won't
- 26:24Speaker 1: gas money because to take you to work cost gas.
- 26:27Speaker 1: If you was driving your own car, you'd have to
- 26:30Speaker 1: put gas in it. Now, she appreciates you using it,
- 26:33Speaker 1: but don't she have to put gas in it too?
- 26:36Speaker 1: All people don't look at it like that she's looking
- 26:38Speaker 1: at I gave you my daughter people your car and
- 26:46Speaker 1: give you spill it up, man, Yeah, give it a
- 26:49Speaker 1: gas money. Dog, say don't, don't, don't do this all right?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Caleb in Hampton says, I'm my sixty seven year old
- 26:56Speaker 1: man and my wife died, so I've been entertaining women
- 26:59Speaker 1: at my place. One of them was a close friend
- 27:02Speaker 1: of my wife, and she says it feels strange to
- 27:04Speaker 1: make love in her friend's home. She's the object of
- 27:08Speaker 1: my affection, so I don't want to lose her. How
- 27:11Speaker 1: do I make her more comfortable here? You're gonna have
- 27:13Speaker 1: to get an apartment at home. You got to get
- 27:16Speaker 1: a bachelor pad. Now. Yeahss is old and you don't
- 27:18Speaker 1: know nothing about bachelor pass because it probably wasn't out
- 27:21Speaker 1: when you was back kicking it. But Caleb, with this
- 27:24Speaker 1: old ass biblical name, listen to me, Calor, you not
- 27:30Speaker 1: a player. Your name says not a player. You see
- 27:35Speaker 1: your name is more of an MMA or Russian or
- 27:38Speaker 1: cage fighter. That's what your name says. You look middleweight
- 27:43Speaker 1: champ for the MMA, cage fighting UFC division or than
- 27:47Speaker 1: in that. Caleb, you're not a player. She does feel
- 27:52Speaker 1: strange in her friend's house. You have to change that.
- 27:55Speaker 1: You have to get a bachelor pad. But not because
- 27:58Speaker 1: she was her friend. Yeah, that ain't bothering Obviously it's
- 28:06Speaker 1: in her house that's bothering her. But she didn't manage
- 28:08Speaker 1: to take her clothes off a few times so she
- 28:12Speaker 1: can secure the bag. She's done this to secure the bag. Now, Caleb,
- 28:21Speaker 1: she's the apple of your affection. You're gonna have to
- 28:24Speaker 1: get a bachelor prib or you're gonna have to start
- 28:26Speaker 1: going over to her house. Or is it some people
- 28:28Speaker 1: stay that with her or something. Ain't no re decorating,
- 28:34Speaker 1: nothing you can paint it. It's still her house. He
- 28:37Speaker 1: laid up there and that health will come through that
- 28:39Speaker 1: wall one night. Yeah, he laid up there and that
- 28:45Speaker 1: health and step out that wall. I bet your ass
- 28:47Speaker 1: to clear that room. And then so I wonder if
- 28:52Speaker 1: you can afford a bachelor pad. But the don't know
- 28:55Speaker 1: his name, Caleb, I don't know. It's not bothered that
- 29:02Speaker 1: she's not bothered that that was her friend. All right,
- 29:07Speaker 1: thank you, Cello. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 29:09Speaker 1: We'll have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 29:11Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Netflix
- 29:17Speaker 1: has announced its next huge project with comedian Dave Chappelle.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle is set to release four upcoming comedy special
- 29:25Speaker 1: Steve that he's producing and hosting, called Chappelle's Home Team
- 29:31Speaker 1: Chappelle's Home Team. The series will feature four comics handpicked
- 29:35Speaker 1: by Chappelle, including this is our friend, didn't We may
- 29:38Speaker 1: not know him as this name, Nathaniel Stroman, we know
- 29:42Speaker 1: him as Earthquake So yeah, also comedian Donnelle Rollins, both
- 29:48Speaker 1: of whom have at least thirty years of stand up experience.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Chappelle stated that I've been doing this a long time
- 29:54Speaker 1: and comedians like Quake and Donnelle are not only friends
- 29:57Speaker 1: but have inspired my own career. Anyone in the comedy
- 30:01Speaker 1: community knows these names and knows their time to shine
- 30:04Speaker 1: is long overdue. I am proud to be a part
- 30:07Speaker 1: of this moment. Chappelle's Home Team premieres February twenty eighth
- 30:11Speaker 1: with Earthquakes him. Come on, Quake, He's absolutely correct about that. Man.
- 30:19Speaker 1: When I talk about some of the really great ones
- 30:22Speaker 1: that have done this, quake is long overdue, long overdue. Man.
- 30:27Speaker 1: How this brother has not gotten a special? Oh, I
- 30:30Speaker 1: know why he hasn't gotten a special, and I'm gonna
- 30:33Speaker 1: wait to have him on the show to talk about it.
- 30:35Speaker 1: But I know why he hasn't gotten a special, and
- 30:39Speaker 1: it's simply because the decision makers didn't get him. But
- 30:42Speaker 1: the decision makers didn't get media. Look what the decision again,
- 30:49Speaker 1: The decision makers didn't get Kanye at the beginning. Turns
- 30:53Speaker 1: out they were right eventually, but they didn't get him
- 30:57Speaker 1: in the beginning. I don't get in. I'm just saying,
- 31:01Speaker 1: you know. The turns out they saw something in his
- 31:04Speaker 1: eyes when he was presenting the first tape at the
- 31:07Speaker 1: record label. They went right, and they stayed away from it.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Now now he's gonna turn out to be one of
- 31:13Speaker 1: the most influential people in hip hop, one of not
- 31:17Speaker 1: thee but one of. And I don't speak about hip
- 31:21Speaker 1: hop up but Quake is just like the dude. Man.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I remember when I first met Quake in Mobile, Alabama.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I remember when he came to my hotel door and
- 31:32Speaker 1: knocked on the door. And the reason he knew what
- 31:34Speaker 1: my door was because he saw me go in it
- 31:36Speaker 1: from the parking lot. That's how my life was back then.
- 31:39Speaker 1: You could see my dough if you park in front
- 31:42Speaker 1: of it. So yeah, okay, So it's important to Quake.
- 31:50Speaker 1: And when your peers think you're fun, I mean, I
- 31:53Speaker 1: think that would be a big boost for him. You know,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, he's a community comedian, comedian. I
- 32:02Speaker 1: don't know nobody that does this, that don't think that,
- 32:06Speaker 1: that don't think Earthquake is hysterical. He rips the room, Yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: can't breathe. The problem has been whites didn't get Quake,
- 32:19Speaker 1: but Quake didn't build his career on whites or four whites,
- 32:23Speaker 1: and they were never comfortable enough to come see Quake
- 32:26Speaker 1: where he was performing but that boy was ripping rooms. Man,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I'm talking about for years. He's been ripping rooms for years. Yeah. Yeah.
- 32:39Speaker 1: And when you when you're on a show, when you're
- 32:40Speaker 1: on a show with Quake, every comedian is in the
- 32:43Speaker 1: wings watching Quake. Ain't They don't watch everybody else now,
- 32:48Speaker 1: but they Quake going up? Okay? And you say comedians
- 32:54Speaker 1: comedian y'all are fans? Yes, Yes, I did a show
- 32:59Speaker 1: one in Dallas at the Outdoor Ampathy of the sixteen
- 33:03Speaker 1: thousand people, Joe Torrey, Bernie mac myself, Earthquake, and Bill
- 33:13Speaker 1: Bellamy Man what order is that? He went the wrong order?
- 33:19Speaker 1: But when oh and Jay Anthony Brown when Earthquake went
- 33:26Speaker 1: on stage. And that was about the time he wrote
- 33:31Speaker 1: that big joke he used to do about Mark Luther
- 33:36Speaker 1: King and why Corretta Scott can never remarry, you know,
- 33:42Speaker 1: because ain't nobody gonna measure up right? You know you're
- 33:46Speaker 1: gonna find the data woman that's got a school name
- 33:49Speaker 1: after him, that got the street named after him and
- 33:53Speaker 1: got a national holiday. What is your ask him to
- 33:55Speaker 1: say that? Corretta? Yeah. But the way he the way
- 33:59Speaker 1: he wrote the whole concept was absolutely brilliant. I was
- 34:02Speaker 1: sitting there, I couldn't breathe. I said, man, what is
- 34:05Speaker 1: it about this dude? Why quake never got on the sitcom?
- 34:11Speaker 1: Why quake never got in movies? Why Quake never got
- 34:16Speaker 1: an HBO? Specially even why it only can be one reason,
- 34:21Speaker 1: only one reason, because he was on everybody hates Chris
- 34:25Speaker 1: later yeah, yeah, yeah, And he's also on the neighborhood
- 34:31Speaker 1: saying back then right right, because they they didn't see it,
- 34:40Speaker 1: and thank god that Dave Chappelle. People listened to him
- 34:43Speaker 1: across the board absolutely. Use why don't we have a
- 34:49Speaker 1: meeting with they? We should have a meeting with they,
- 34:51Speaker 1: because they don't have meetings with they all the time,
- 34:55Speaker 1: because they still have the power to green light. We
- 34:58Speaker 1: have a meeting with they all the time. But they
- 35:02Speaker 1: smile in your face. Hey, great job, give us some
- 35:05Speaker 1: more information. And when they get behind your back, who's
- 35:07Speaker 1: this guy? Get him out of here? On what they do? Bro,
- 35:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Meetings out away. But like
- 35:12Speaker 1: I mean, you know his name, it was, it was.
- 35:16Speaker 1: It was a little tough for said. They entertained at
- 35:18Speaker 1: the beginning. What's his name? This lady introduced Cedric one
- 35:22Speaker 1: time at the at the opens. When we were promoting
- 35:25Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Show. She called Cedric, So Cedric the Educator.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I went, were you just looking at her? Come on, man?
- 35:36Speaker 1: She thought his name was the educator. Yeah, because they
- 35:40Speaker 1: don't Yeah, I'm not talking about all of them. I'm
- 35:43Speaker 1: just saying when they don't want to get it, they
- 35:45Speaker 1: don't try. Yeah. Oh, he'll educate you. All right on
- 35:48Speaker 1: comedy US laughs. All right, coming up in twenty minutes
- 35:51Speaker 1: after Donald Trump has launched his own social media app.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Won't get into that right after this boom, you're listening
- 36:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. So, Donald Trump's social media app,
- 36:04Speaker 1: Truth and truth Social. Truth Social launched Monday as you
- 36:08Speaker 1: don't tell the truth This is crazy. Truth Social launched
- 36:18Speaker 1: Monday as a Trump seeks a new digital stage to
- 36:21Speaker 1: rally his supporters and fight vic Tech's limit on speech.
- 36:25Speaker 1: This is a year after he was banned, of course,
- 36:27Speaker 1: from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Trump is hoping truth Social
- 36:32Speaker 1: will attract the millions who followed him on Twitter as
- 36:34Speaker 1: he hints that a third presidential run get out of here.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Republicans were quick to use the launch of truth Social
- 36:40Speaker 1: to raise money for their election efforts. The Republican National
- 36:44Speaker 1: Committee and the Congressional Leadership Fund have been fundraising off
- 36:48Speaker 1: the launched GEOP. House Minority leaders Kevin McCarthy sent a
- 36:52Speaker 1: fundraising email Monday with the message, after over a year
- 36:55Speaker 1: of musling by the liberal big tech tyrants, Trump is
- 36:59Speaker 1: bad boom truth. They're the biggest group of fools and
- 37:06Speaker 1: cowards I've ever seen. I've never seen it. I have
- 37:11Speaker 1: absolutely nothing. You know, The Republican Party has just sold themselves.
- 37:17Speaker 1: They stand for whatever Donald Trump tells them to stand for,
- 37:21Speaker 1: and that's where they act. And for people to follow
- 37:25Speaker 1: a person so blindly, you know what, at least I'll
- 37:29Speaker 1: give the Democrats this, They will at least question Joe Biden. Well, yeah,
- 37:39Speaker 1: because they don't stick together either, stick together. But them
- 37:43Speaker 1: damn Republicans. Oh no, sir, Oh no sir. They get
- 37:49Speaker 1: in that room and they say this is our agenda,
- 37:52Speaker 1: this is our cause, and they ride or die and
- 37:56Speaker 1: they come out that room and they commit it to
- 37:58Speaker 1: the BS. And it ain't got nothing to do with
- 38:01Speaker 1: the people. They don't care what you say. What did
- 38:04Speaker 1: Donald Trump say? Yes, the election was rigged and stolen,
- 38:10Speaker 1: if possible without one shred of evidence. Two years now
- 38:16Speaker 1: that it was absolutely not rigged and stolen. But I
- 38:21Speaker 1: need the evidence where it was if you're gonna make
- 38:24Speaker 1: me believe something, and they have nothing, but Donald Trump
- 38:28Speaker 1: keeps selling it. They let them white folks climb over
- 38:32Speaker 1: that wall at the Capitol Building and I'm watching them deny.
- 38:38Speaker 1: They just we have a subpoena. I'm not coming folks,
- 38:42Speaker 1: they got over the wall. Get a subpoena. You get
- 38:46Speaker 1: a subpoena to company court, and you don't go watch
- 38:49Speaker 1: what happened to you. But nothing's happening to any of
- 38:52Speaker 1: these politicians that are not coming in on the suspicion.
- 38:56Speaker 1: What's happening here? Man? They did dismiss right here's place
- 39:00Speaker 1: all right? Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:04Speaker 1: a Georgia woman has faked three pregnancies to get paid
- 39:09Speaker 1: maternity lead from her job. We'll talk about that right
- 39:12Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:17Speaker 1: A woman named Robin folsom Of, the former director of
- 39:20Speaker 1: External Affairs for the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, has allegedly
- 39:25Speaker 1: get this guy's has allegedly faked three pregnancies to get
- 39:29Speaker 1: paid time off from work. She first told the agency,
- 39:34Speaker 1: how's she doing? No, I don't know. She first told
- 39:37Speaker 1: the agency she gave birth in July of twenty twenty,
- 39:42Speaker 1: and she went on maternity leave three months later. Three
- 39:46Speaker 1: months later, she told the agency she was pregnant again
- 39:50Speaker 1: and informed them of the birth. In May of twenty
- 39:52Speaker 1: twenty one, A man claiming to be the child's father
- 39:56Speaker 1: emailed the agency and said Falsom needed seven weeks off
- 39:59Speaker 1: to recover. Then last August, she claimed to be pregnant again,
- 40:04Speaker 1: and this finally raised suspicion, which led to an investigation
- 40:09Speaker 1: into her insurance record. There was no evidence of her
- 40:13Speaker 1: ever giving birth or ever being pregnant. Bolsom resigned last
- 40:17Speaker 1: October when investigators started interviewing her, and now she faces
- 40:22Speaker 1: up to ten years in jail. I didn't know there
- 40:25Speaker 1: was time for that. Could I ask you a question?
- 40:32Speaker 1: You know? You know you don't care how she did.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Now we want to know her plan no more, but
- 40:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to If you say you're pregnant, was she
- 40:42Speaker 1: coming to work like with pillows on her stomach looking pregnant?
- 40:45Speaker 1: Where did baby's at? Exactly exactly? I would I would
- 40:50Speaker 1: assume so, because you know you have to. You have
- 40:53Speaker 1: to show that you're showing some kind of way eventually.
- 40:57Speaker 1: But but when you leave to have the baby, where
- 41:00Speaker 1: the baby at? Well, she didn't bring the baby to work.
- 41:04Speaker 1: It didn't come back with no baby. Yeah, the baby's
- 41:07Speaker 1: at home with the nanny with the face and the
- 41:12Speaker 1: fake baby daddy. But they I'm surprised they didn't check
- 41:16Speaker 1: into it or ask questions like you're asking Steve, you know,
- 41:19Speaker 1: because she was able to do this three times. So
- 41:22Speaker 1: let me ask you a question, ladies. So when you
- 41:25Speaker 1: get maternity leave, what does that mean? I mean that
- 41:30Speaker 1: means you after you have the baby, you stay home
- 41:32Speaker 1: with the baby for a certain amount of time. I
- 41:34Speaker 1: think I took off like six weeks. You stay home
- 41:37Speaker 1: with the baby, you bond with the baby, but you
- 41:39Speaker 1: get some time before the baby get here too. Dogs.
- 41:42Speaker 1: But you remember with me, I was on bed rest. Yeah,
- 41:45Speaker 1: I was in the hospital. So I was kind of
- 41:47Speaker 1: like before and after. So it depends I worked. You
- 41:51Speaker 1: I worked. Let's see, I have my baby on a Saturday.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I worked that Friday. She worked up until I worked
- 41:57Speaker 1: until the day I had Yeah, the day before I
- 42:00Speaker 1: had the baby, I was at work when all mine
- 42:03Speaker 1: was born. I was right. Did you take an epidural?
- 42:07Speaker 1: What it was? It wasn't. I don't know how y'all
- 42:14Speaker 1: do it. Hats all the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
- 42:18Speaker 1: I was lord the playground. I took off. Yeah, so,
- 42:31Speaker 1: I mean the insurance probably checked with the hospital because
- 42:34Speaker 1: you had bills. You know, playing fall you have bills immediately.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Oh it's not a game. Oh no, no, you have bills.
- 42:44Speaker 1: And then the baby, you know, the theursary where you
- 42:49Speaker 1: had your baby. All of that factors. Then, So how
- 42:53Speaker 1: she was able to do this to get away three times?
- 42:58Speaker 1: Who it cost? We could have had a cup? So
- 43:00Speaker 1: I was at the house because I'm gonna say some
- 43:02Speaker 1: money right there. How many times did you take off? Along? Again? Well,
- 43:09Speaker 1: you know I was at work right up until the
- 43:11Speaker 1: birth of all mine. Mean too, we have none of
- 43:15Speaker 1: comments right up to it. Mister Harvey, come to the office. Yes,
- 43:21Speaker 1: your wife is in labor, back hurting in everything. I
- 43:30Speaker 1: was in labor. I'll get out there at the hospital.
- 43:33Speaker 1: James traumatized. I know you've had a lot of jobs.
- 43:37Speaker 1: So the question becomes really quickly, what's the weirdest excuse
- 43:40Speaker 1: you you've ever given to get up work, you know,
- 43:43Speaker 1: of course, not pregnancy. I had nightmares. I faked up
- 43:49Speaker 1: carbon monoxide poisoned at one time because I have blue
- 43:52Speaker 1: streaks on a couple of my fingernails and that's the
- 43:55Speaker 1: sign for carbon monoxide. But it's hereditary. So I used
- 43:58Speaker 1: to walk into the nurses office show it to him
- 44:00Speaker 1: and they send my head home. Coming up next, frank
- 44:03Speaker 1: phone call with the nephew. Right after this, I'm lying
- 44:06Speaker 1: and see it. I was pranking you. You're listening to
- 44:11Speaker 1: the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Coming up about four minutes
- 44:16Speaker 1: after the hour. It is time for my strawberry letter.
- 44:19Speaker 1: The subject for today is I'm the captain of this ship.
- 44:24Speaker 1: We'll get into that and just a few I want
- 44:28Speaker 1: to hear that one. But right now it is time
- 44:30Speaker 1: for the prank phone call with the nephew. Nephew, what
- 44:33Speaker 1: you got for us today? We all love him. Shirley
- 44:36Speaker 1: Ball had him Girl Scout cookies. Oh yeah, girl Scout cookies.
- 44:45Speaker 1: We all have a certain flavor we love. Take a listener.
- 44:50Speaker 1: He up? Hell, So is this? Um? How are you doing? Then?
- 44:54Speaker 1: My name is Glynn Man. I'm working. I work in
- 44:57Speaker 1: building two. You work for Cludia, right, Yeah, what what's fun?
- 45:02Speaker 1: So we probably met a couple of times. Uh do
- 45:05Speaker 1: you have a girl? You have a girlfriend? Uh? Why
- 45:08Speaker 1: what's up? Did you guys you guys live together or
- 45:12Speaker 1: or what? What is this your business? Like? What? What?
- 45:16Speaker 1: What's what's what's the deal? What's what's why are you
- 45:18Speaker 1: asking about my girl? What? Let me ask you this here?
- 45:20Speaker 1: What's what's what's going on with you and at the job? Uh?
- 45:25Speaker 1: What what do you? What do you mean? What's like? Like?
- 45:29Speaker 1: I mean you you know you know right, I mean
- 45:32Speaker 1: so what like? What? What's what's the deal? What? What?
- 45:34Speaker 1: Who are you like? Who the who? The are you like? What? What?
- 45:37Speaker 1: What's the what is this for? Like? Why are you? Like?
- 45:41Speaker 1: I don't even know you? Right? I just calmed down, bron,
- 45:45Speaker 1: just climed down, Like I say, my name is being.
- 45:47Speaker 1: I work at Gila too, you know, And I know
- 45:50Speaker 1: I just tell you now, I know you. I know
- 45:53Speaker 1: what you doing, Okay, I know what y'all doing at
- 45:56Speaker 1: the job. I already know and a couple other people
- 45:59Speaker 1: know what's going going on. And I know you got
- 46:01Speaker 1: a girl. I know you got a girl at home.
- 46:03Speaker 1: I know that. What so so what what? What? What
- 46:06Speaker 1: the what? What is this about? Like why why do
- 46:09Speaker 1: you call my phone trying to harass me about the book?
- 46:12Speaker 1: Like who are you? Like? What? What? What is your problem? Like? Hey, man, hey, hey, hey,
- 46:17Speaker 1: came now. Man, I ain't finished. I ain't trying to
- 46:20Speaker 1: tell you a little secret or nothing like that. I
- 46:21Speaker 1: ain't trying to do that, all right, but but but
- 46:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna be real with you. Okay, all right, Like
- 46:26Speaker 1: I said, you know, I got one of your names.
- 46:28Speaker 1: I got your number from one of co workers. Okay,
- 46:30Speaker 1: I got your number. I say, I want to I
- 46:32Speaker 1: want to give the call and you talk to him
- 46:34Speaker 1: about something. That's how I got your number. So yeah,
- 46:36Speaker 1: who gave you ten? We'll get to that later. Okay,
- 46:40Speaker 1: we'll get to that later. But let me but let
- 46:42Speaker 1: me say this though. I know what's going on with
- 46:44Speaker 1: you and the job, all right, and I ain't gonna
- 46:47Speaker 1: say nothing about it. You know, that's just our little
- 46:49Speaker 1: secret or whatever. But I do have something that I
- 46:51Speaker 1: want you to do. Though, what what do you want? Due?
- 46:54Speaker 1: But what what do you want? You call me bugging
- 46:56Speaker 1: me about and all this book? Like what do you want?
- 46:59Speaker 1: What do you? Well? Here it is man, listen, I
- 47:02Speaker 1: ain't gonna say nothing about what you got going on.
- 47:04Speaker 1: All right, that ain't that ain't even I don't even
- 47:06Speaker 1: care about that. But here here's what I do want
- 47:08Speaker 1: you to do. I do need some help from you.
- 47:10Speaker 1: All right. Listen, my little girl is selling Girl Scout
- 47:14Speaker 1: cookies and I want you to buy fifty boxes of them.
- 47:18Speaker 1: All right, well be a cash out because she got
- 47:20Speaker 1: to have them sold by tomorrow morning. Are you kidding me? Bro?
- 47:26Speaker 1: You okay, so you're on some black man's books and
- 47:30Speaker 1: listen to who the fuck give you my number because
- 47:32Speaker 1: you want to call me asked me to box them
- 47:35Speaker 1: cookies and you should just bet a man and ask
- 47:39Speaker 1: me about it. Like, don't be calling my phone trying
- 47:41Speaker 1: to give me that book. Like come on, man, like
- 47:44Speaker 1: I ain't got no time for this. Like all I'm

- 47:49Speaker 1: That's it. You know what I'm saying. I'm just saying.
- 47:53Speaker 1: I just want you to buy some cookie. I need
- 47:54Speaker 1: you to buy fifty boxes little girl Scout cookies. Can
- 47:57Speaker 1: you do that? No? No, no, no no no no
- 47:59Speaker 1: no no no no no no no. You ain't gonna
- 48:00Speaker 1: call and try to manipulate me and defying like you're
- 48:04Speaker 1: you're talking? Are you trying to make me vise? So
- 48:07Speaker 1: I ain't gonna do nothing for you disrespecting me, calling
- 48:11Speaker 1: my phone, trying to act like you like, just trying
- 48:15Speaker 1: to manipulate. I ain't down with that, bro. I ain't

- 48:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna argue with you, but I get off the
- 48:47Speaker 1: phone right now. I'll get off right now, and I'm
- 48:50Speaker 1: gonna your girl. I'm gonna call your girl and see
- 48:53Speaker 1: if you want by some No, no, no, no, no,
- 48:57Speaker 1: you ain't call nobody. You just get you. Yeah, I
- 49:01Speaker 1: try to God, I'm gonna find out who you are.
- 49:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna find out who gave you out number. I'm
- 49:05Speaker 1: gonna call you up like yo, you'nna call me trying
- 49:08Speaker 1: to right me? Okay, hey man, hey, hey, you know
- 49:11Speaker 1: what angrean cool, we're still talking about it, all right.
- 49:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna get the right like you so so so
- 49:16Speaker 1: I'll get off the phone like you want me to, Adrian,

- 49:30Speaker 1: You something? Individuals? All right? Look how much of these cookies?
- 49:35Speaker 1: How much you want? A man? Tommy told me you

- 53:54Speaker 1: could be yours. You never know, you never know. Buckle
- 53:57Speaker 1: up and hold on type. We got it for you.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry LETTA thank you nephew. Subject, I'm
- 54:03Speaker 1: the captain of this ship. I am to captain now, Okay.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Dere's Stephen Shirley. I'm married and my husband and I
- 54:10Speaker 1: have two children. He's in law enforcement, but he's not
- 54:14Speaker 1: a police officer. I work as a teacher and I
- 54:17Speaker 1: have my school kids and three children at my house.
- 54:20Speaker 1: My husband is a dependent in more ways than one.
- 54:23Speaker 1: It has been this way for the past three years.
- 54:26Speaker 1: After he had an on the job injury. He no
- 54:29Speaker 1: longer washes his own clothes, and he can't mow the
- 54:31Speaker 1: lawn anymore. Those were the only two things he did before,
- 54:36Speaker 1: and now he can't even do that. Nothing is physically
- 54:40Speaker 1: wrong with him, but he says the anxiety from his
- 54:43Speaker 1: injury has him leery of doing too much. So so
- 54:48Speaker 1: here's what happened to him. He works at the jail
- 54:50Speaker 1: in the evidence room, and he was on a ladder
- 54:54Speaker 1: maybe six feet in the air, and he slipped. He
- 54:57Speaker 1: didn't hit the floor, but he located his left shoulder
- 55:01Speaker 1: trying to hold on a small boxbell and hit him
- 55:05Speaker 1: in his eye. So he wore an eyepatch for a week.
- 55:08Speaker 1: His shoulder was operated on, and he was off work
- 55:11Speaker 1: for a full month. When it was time to return
- 55:14Speaker 1: to work, he decided he couldn't drive anymore. So now
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'd take him to work and pick him up, even
- 55:21Speaker 1: with sex. I initiate it, and I have to do
- 55:23Speaker 1: all the work while he takes special care not to
- 55:26Speaker 1: injure his shoulder, even though he injured it three years ago.
- 55:30Speaker 1: His coworkers are sick of him too, so something's got
- 55:34Speaker 1: to give. When I stopped washing his clothes for him,
- 55:37Speaker 1: he asked our twelve year old daughter to do it,
- 55:40Speaker 1: and I told him that's inappropriate. We got into an
- 55:43Speaker 1: argument and I let him know that I make all
- 55:45Speaker 1: the decisions going forward, and he's going to be treated
- 55:49Speaker 1: like one of the children, he said, since I'm the
- 55:52Speaker 1: captain of the ship now he wants to take early retirement.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Do you think I need to be more patient with him?
- 55:58Speaker 1: Or is he playing me for a whole fool? Okay,
- 56:05Speaker 1: this could all be cleared up. This could all be
- 56:07Speaker 1: cleared up with a quick trip to the doctor. Okay,
- 56:11Speaker 1: but your husband won't go. I'm sure. I mean, he
- 56:14Speaker 1: already knows that if he went to the doctor, you
- 56:17Speaker 1: would find out what you already know too, that there's
- 56:20Speaker 1: nothing wrong with him. Now, yes, he's been playing you
- 56:23Speaker 1: for at least two of the three years that since
- 56:26Speaker 1: he had the operation. You're not even a doctor, and
- 56:29Speaker 1: you know there's nothing wrong with him. He's just milking
- 56:31Speaker 1: the situation to get you to do stuff for him.
- 56:34Speaker 1: He's been lazy. He's just being lazy. He's lazy with sex,
- 56:38Speaker 1: with his laundry, with everything. So my advice to you, wifeie,
- 56:42Speaker 1: is to stop doing the things you do. You have
- 56:46Speaker 1: been more patient than anyone else, I'm sure with him,
- 56:50Speaker 1: even his coworkers are sick of him, you said, so
- 56:53Speaker 1: stop driving him to work and picking him up. I'm
- 56:55Speaker 1: sure he can do that himself. All he has to
- 56:57Speaker 1: do is go to the doctor, make sure he's checked out.
- 57:00Speaker 1: He's fine. Good to go, and tell your twelve year
- 57:03Speaker 1: old daughter to stop, because you're right, she shouldn't do that.
- 57:07Speaker 1: She's getting an allowance for it, is she. You didn't
- 57:10Speaker 1: mention that, so she's probably doing that for free. He's
- 57:13Speaker 1: just lazy and trifling at this point, and you don't
- 57:17Speaker 1: have to treat him like a child. But you know,
- 57:20Speaker 1: like I said, this could all be cleared up if
- 57:22Speaker 1: you guys would just take a trip to the doctor
- 57:24Speaker 1: and you'll find that he's okay. And yeah, he is
- 57:27Speaker 1: playing you Steve. Wow, this letter wasn't what I thought
- 57:31Speaker 1: it was gonna be about at all. I thought it
- 57:34Speaker 1: was this man trying to assert the fact that he
- 57:38Speaker 1: was captain into the ship. Yeah, based on the title. Yeah,
- 57:41Speaker 1: I just thought that's what it was gonna be about. Oh,
- 57:44Speaker 1: this is a really disappointing letter man. This is really
- 57:47Speaker 1: really disappointing because I don't you know, I'm reading MA
- 57:52Speaker 1: read this letter. I just don't like me in like this.
- 57:55Speaker 1: I just don't now. I know it's a one sided story,
- 57:58Speaker 1: and she's writing the letter, but she's writing the letter
- 58:00Speaker 1: out of frustration. This dude right here, y'all married. I
- 58:06Speaker 1: wish I knew how old he was because would really
- 58:08Speaker 1: help me analyze. It's even better. But you got two kids.
- 58:13Speaker 1: He's in law enforcement, but he's not a police officer
- 58:16Speaker 1: the right away, I'm thinking traffic cop. Or he write tickets,
- 58:20Speaker 1: but that ain't the case. She's a school teacher and
- 58:27Speaker 1: you got your school kids and three different children at
- 58:30Speaker 1: your house. Don't know what that means anyway. My husband
- 58:34Speaker 1: is a dependent in more ways than one, and he's
- 58:39Speaker 1: been this way for three years after he had on
- 58:41Speaker 1: the job injury. He no longer watches his own clothes,
- 58:44Speaker 1: and he can't mow the lawn anymore. Damn what did
- 58:47Speaker 1: he do? Oh? We find out those are the only
- 58:51Speaker 1: thing two things he did before, and now he can't
- 58:53Speaker 1: even do that. Nothing is physically wrong with him, but
- 58:57Speaker 1: he says the anxiety from his injury caught makes him
- 59:00Speaker 1: liar of doing too much. Too much. You don't do
- 59:05Speaker 1: nothing but wash clothes and motor damn lawn. And based
- 59:11Speaker 1: on y'all's two jobs. That lawn ain't that big. I'm
- 59:16Speaker 1: just saying so now now she describes what happened to him.
- 59:22Speaker 1: He worked out the jail in everdence room. He up
- 59:24Speaker 1: on the ladder one time he slipped, but he didn't
- 59:26Speaker 1: hit the floor. He dislocated his left shoulder trying to
- 59:30Speaker 1: hold on. Hear what help that ladder got out Monday.
- 59:34Speaker 1: He grabbed up with that hand, and his fright ass
- 59:38Speaker 1: damn near tore his shoulder out, trying to hear no
- 59:43Speaker 1: mention to wait, how you think you pull your should
- 59:47Speaker 1: out when you grab and don't fall. That ladder slipped
- 59:53Speaker 1: and got out Monday, Monday got out money, but his
- 59:56Speaker 1: fright ass grabbed something and ripped it. Ligaments out of
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: his ass. All he tried to stay up under all
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: that weight. He ain't in shape. She did not say
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: was fat. I'm telling you that's what happened, She saying,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: how only is either and if you ain't working your
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: ass gonna get first? Hold on hold one? Okay, okay,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: well at first two of Steve's response, coming up at
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hours subject of today's Strawberry letter,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I'm the captain of the ship, will get back into
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: The subject, I'm the captain of this ship, all right,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: this woman being married to her husband. They got a
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: couple of kids. She a teacher. He in law enforcement,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: but he ain't no police officer. Now, he didn't got
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: his ass hurt on a job. One day he was
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: in the evidence room or boning letter, probably looking at
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: some evidence he had obeiss. He was doing doo doo
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doom. And
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: he moved up on that ladder and that ladder got
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: out Monday his and she said he injured his shoulder,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: but didn't hit the floor. So that means he grabbed
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: something trying to hang on. Now, his ass already overweight
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: when he grabbed on. That was it all the weight
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: told his shoulder dislocated. It ripped the ligaments all this hill.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Fat ass should have just went on down. But now
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: he tried to stay up. He'd hit the float, but
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: he dislocated his shoulder trying to hold on. Then a
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: small box fell and hit him in the eye. And
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: then in the ever dis room. That small box is
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: probably a jewelry box. It could be a room with
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: a quarter sack of weed in it. It could be
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: a little maybe a little couple of keys and cocaine
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: was in the box. Maybe it was the box with
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: some keys in it that had some finger his owner
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: for arm robbery. But one of them in the last
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: boxes hit him man dead in his damn eye. So
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: he wore an eyepatch for a week. Now, that really
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: makes you look like you hurt it. You got your
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: arm in a sling and you got a patch on
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: your eye. Now, he tried to figure out, Hi can
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: play this. His shoulder was operated on it. He was
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: all for a full month. Okay, it was time to
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: return to work. He decided he couldn't drive no more
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: to his punk hass playing this all the way out
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: now now he can't drive black people on Black dudes
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: only drive with one hand any damn way. So we
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: already and know that. Now if his right arm was hurt,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: that's even better. That's the one we lean on rests
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: on anyway. And if his left arm is hurt, then
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: that's cool. Then we'll just do to lean the other way,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: lean up against the dope, both of his pimp poses.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Eugen's got to rock the one you like it. So
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: I take him to work and pick him up. Damn,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: even with sex I initiated and have to do all
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: the work where he takes special care not to injure
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: his shoulder this high. Know his ass is fat. See
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: when you having sex and you don't want to injure
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: your shoulder, the only thing he can do is lay
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: on his sorry ass back, which is fat ass want
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: to do anyway because he don't want to be up
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: on his knees where he got to put that work in,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: hold his big ass up in all this here, My
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: shoulder ain't my shoulder. Don't nobody to give a damn
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: about the shoulder when you having sex? You know what
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: I mean? Whole craps, how that got? How many hamstrings
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: out and pull? You know, I mean to expect muscles
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: out and toe you know what I mean? The head
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: lacerations out of head and my head going put slamming
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: into it too hard? You many times, man, I don't
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: rip the ass muscle off? Yeah, any idea man? How
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: many times out and told the tenders in the bottom
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: of my feet trying to get my toes and getting
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: more more grip on that sheet. You know what I mean.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: The injuries out and had doing sex and don't give
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: a damn. I'll see you tomorrow. I'm don't stop, ain't
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: fitting to stop. Chilotte horses bustle, pulls cramps right on,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: doing everything out of my arms and slipped off the
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: corner of the mattress. I bust my mouth on the
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: nightstand one time, kept going, kept swallowing the blood, so
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: we didn't get on her and kept moving to hold
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: A mission has got to be done. Hiss. The pundcast
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: got a little hurt. Shows man missed me with this
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: here hiss. Now he not his co workers is sick
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: of him too, So something got to give. When I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: stopped watching his clothes for him, he has got twelve
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: year old daughter to do it. He can't wash clothes.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: And then I told him that was inappropriate. We got
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: in an argument and I let him know that I
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: was making all the decisions going forward and he gonna
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: be treated like one of the children. He says, says,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I'm the captain of the ship. Now he wants to
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: take early retirement. Do you think I need to be
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: more patient with him? Or is he playing me for
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: a whole fool a whole fool plus, so he playing
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: the police department as fools. They tied in his ass.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: You're twelve year old, tired of washing his underwearing all
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: this hill. How you can't wash clothes after three years
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: with a shoulder injury? Obviously there's some type of male
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: practice that did happened because of your shoulder? Ain't worth
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: for damn? Three years after the operation? Did they operate
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: on the right shoulder? That all the time? Did they
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: operate on the right shoulder? I say, yes, they operated
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: on the right shoulder, And I say, your man is
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: full of it. He is just full of it. He
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: is lazy. He has found a way to make an
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: excuse for his laziness. And once you decide to be
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: a lazy person, let me help you understand something, y'all,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: it carries over into every aspect of your life. So
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: now you lays at the job, you lays at home.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: You don't want to do nothing to work, You're gonna
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: do the home. You're lazy in the bed room. You're
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: just a lazy person. So you can relegate your life
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: to live in with this lazy ass person, or you
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: can issue an ultimatum. You either get up and get
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: back to work and be the man that I'm married,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: or me and you are done come back to you
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: busting your lip on a knife, Stand though and cap
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: what happens? All right, it happens. Listen, leave in your comments.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Please on Today's Strawberry Letter on Instagram and Facebook at
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM, and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast

- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Junior's out today, but Nephew and the Uncle are in
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: with Sports Talk. What you got now? I got something
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: just to tell my uncle. So, like Steve, I did
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: you know I did Baltimore, Maryland this past weekend. Guess
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: who was in my hotel? Earl the Pearl Monroe. Man,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: shut your damn I know you better not say that
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: to me. Earl the Pearl Monroe, the Pearl Monroe of
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: the New York Knicks, Black Pearl Jake Black. What with
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the seven up spin moves? Earl the Pearl hurt the jerk, Munro.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I don't know about hurt the jerk. I just know
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: where everybody in the hood wanted to be pearl. What
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: is hurt the jerk? Though? What is that? Came down
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: the lane man? He had that cold ass move man
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: where he would go dribbling to his right. He would
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: cross the free throw line hard. Then he would pick
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the ball up. He would spend and he would take
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: two steps and he laid up with the left on
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: the glass. He couldn't nobody stop it because the spin
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: he would spend damned the round him on the other side.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: It's coldest steak boy. You need to look it up.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Is that why they called him the pearl because he
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: was sold pearl the pearl money because he was a pearl.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: You just this dude was black magic Man. Here. Here's
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: here's my other news on I need I need one
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: of your cigars that's half smoked, because check this out,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Michael Jordan has a half smoked cigar and it's up
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: for auction and they starting off with five hundred dollars.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: So I definitely need one of your half smoked cigars
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: so I can put it a fox. I think I
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: started I think I'm gonna start this thing off by
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: twenty five hundred though. Yeah, it's in the news. Michael
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Jordan half smoked cigars that he left in the ass tray.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Somebody came along and got it. Now they're selling it.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Tell them Steve Harvey lips. Yeah, that would be the difference.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: That's how you know if it's really my cigar. Now
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: cast the moisture be damned near down to the label. Yo,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: that's the way you know it's mine. Yeah, you're gonna
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: get paid. I'm finding get paid, So y'all be on
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: the lookout. I will be auctioning out for a couple
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: of Uncle Steve cigars, and who knows, I might grab
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: a few of his items if I stopped by the house,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I grab a few other things that I can sell
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: on as an auction. Those parties at his house and
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: you can steal his suits and come through the party.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: You could do an auction party at the house to
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: be nice to auction. As soon as he lead a
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: country again, gonna be a little bit different this time.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Party coming up at the top of the hour for
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: your ass. How to tell if you the one for
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: him or her or if you're wasting your time. We'll
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: get into that right after this. You're listening to the
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. So, according to an online pole,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: here's how to tell if a boyfriend or girlfriend is
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: serious about you. So, Steve, this is the same thing
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: you stated in your book. Act like a lady, think
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: like a man. So let's go over a few ways
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: to tell if you're the one. All right. Number one,
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: he refers to your relationship as we when talking about
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: future plans. You agree, absolutely. Why would he mention you
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: in the future if you're not gonna be that? Okay, wow,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: that's yeah, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, you see
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: all the movies. What's the movies in the future? Richard
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Prye used to talk about, And you saw all the
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: movies about the future and white people being it. That's
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: because white people wasn't playing on us being him. Oh gosh, okay, yeah,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: we're starting to ask because we're still sticking around. Were
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: a little shocking to all right, here's another one, Steve.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: His social media includes pictures of the two of you. Absolutely,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I just had a conversation with a young guy because
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I know how important social media is to them and
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: when they claim each other as exclusive. They will post
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: each other. If you're not, you're not getting posted. I mean,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: just look at anybody, look at all of them. And
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: so I know this kid just dating this girl. He
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: told me he's in love with her, and he told
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: me she's in love with him. But he ain't on
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: none of her Instagram and she ain't on none of his.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I said, I don't know what's happening, but don't look
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: at real now. He mad at me. Why because you
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: brought it to his attention. Yeah, all right, here's another one.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Labels become a part of your relationship. When you're a
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: significant other, stops introducing you as just a friend publicly,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: chances are you're the one and only this is mine. Well,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I mean that's important because how many women are in
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: relationships and don't know what it is? They don't have
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: a description of it, right right right? They don't have
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: what is this? You know how many women in relationships
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: that's going what is this? They don't even know what
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: it is? Because dudes are very smart. Now, m and
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: if you will go along with us without a label
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: or a title, cool, But you have to ask yourself,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: why don't I have a label? Or a title. Ask
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: yourself that. Yeah, And the number one reason is is
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: because you ain't that. Lord Jesus, you better tell you ain't.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Nobody fitting to call you what you ain't. You only
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: get to be mister president if you get the votes.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: You only get to be the boss if you get
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: the promotion. Huh. You only get to be the owner
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: of the company if you put up all the money.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Uh huh. Hello church he man, Hey man again, go ahead, Steve.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: This is a big one in your book. I remember
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: he brags about you, introduces you to his friend. Then
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: you know, simple, man, this is the one man. This
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: is my girl. Man another day, Man, we had such
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: a good time. Man, my girl. Man, she'd be lighting
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: it up. Man, we'd be going through it a little bit. Man,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: this girl she's smart. It's just simple. It's simple. It's simple.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: We want you and we that's how we mark our
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: tor into a territory by bragging about you. So you
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: heard me say this? She mind you heard that? So
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: what you over here for with your head cocked to
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: the side, sipping out your drink? Sideway Pardner and the
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: and the last one, Steve, you have drawers at each
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: other's house. Draws you like. That's true too. You gotta
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: put them in the floor. My drawls is over here
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: because I'm been fit to do some things. WHI I
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: need new draws. Goodness, Okay, put back home? Not these

- 1:17:02Speaker 1: this neck. I'm telling I who you want to you
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: want to stop my performance. You get on that neck,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I'm done. I can't do nothing for you. Well, I'm
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: the direct opposite. Okay, if you open up your mouth started,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: look at me on my neck? You in for something? Something?
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Come with that. I intensifies all efforts. I'm talking about. Man,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: everything I'm doing, I start doing hard. Everything in me,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: not on my neck. My body's convulsing and stuff. I'm
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: most of my actions is involuntary. At that point, I'd
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: rather not. Let's keep this party. Would you rather? Would
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: you rather be financially satisfied all of the time? Would
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: you rather be sexually satisfied? Hey, you can buy it? Yeah,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: we can buy it. So I got enough money, you
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: ain't got to wear about it. It feel good sometimes
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: when you just got money, you ain't gotta do nothing. Yeah,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: I'm good. Yeah, I'm trying to tell you right now,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I'm going with that money. Man financially said all the time,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: or sexually satisfied all the time. No, No, like Tommy said,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: you got enough money, you can buy whatever you get.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: Sexually satisfied now, I don't need them vote no no.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: With that money, that money made me feel like we
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: just finished it. Feel waved off, all right, So would
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: you rather post nude, just completely naked for a group
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: of artists, or would you rather wear false lashes? Lashes?
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: Put them lashes on? So fly? I ain't naked. Yeah,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: but he I don't know. He's artist. He knows, surely
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: he knows, he know, he don't know. He don't need
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: to be naked. Got I got two alms. It looked weird.
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: I ain't got the other folks. I don't need to
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: be knocking it from nobody. Nobody what the wife? She
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: didn't seen it from all sides and I'm naked explaining
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to y'all what's going on? And then let's just be real,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: y'all from the side. Do you really want somebody looking
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: at you from the side, you know, forward? Straight on?
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: I'm all right, you know, on the scale of one
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: and ten, I'm about seven, you know, straight on seven?
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: You know, for my age, I'm an eight and a half.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: You know you look great? Yes, sideways. I can't explain that. No, damn,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: I don't really know what's happening. All right, all right,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: thank you, that's our round up? Would you rather for today?
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Coming up next? It is our last break of the day,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: and we'll have some closing remarks at forty nine minutes
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: after from the one and Only Steve Harve. Right after this,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, guys, here we are, last
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: break of the day. It's been a good day. Ye
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: thank us home, Steve Hey my closing remarks today, it's
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: gonna be a gonna share a personal, kind of a
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: personal story with you. But it's also a story that
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I think is relatable to a lot of people. And
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I think a lot of people can put themselves into place,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and I think the question I want to ask is
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: who are you talking to and who are you listening to?
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: That's an important question to ask yourself constantly. Who are
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: you talking to and who are you listening to? If
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: you want to change your life, if you really want
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: to progress in life, if you really want to be
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: what God has intended for you to be, if you
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: really want to accomplish all your dreams and aspirations, you
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: got to pay real close attention to who you talking
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to and who you listening to. These two things are critical.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna share your story as much as
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I can without being too specific, but just to see
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: if you can relate. I was in a meeting one
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: time with some TV executives, and they were in this
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: meeting to talk about how we could increase the ratings
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: on my talk show. And whenever I take a meeting
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: with news execs, I want I listen to them because
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: if you have a way that I can improve, I'm
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: always listening. But in the entire meeting of how to
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: increase your ratings, all they would do and was telling
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: me what I wasn't And that's not how you imp.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: You have to tell me who I should be. So
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: you can't tell me what I am isn't working, because
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: to me, clearly it is because who I am has
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: gotten me this far. Now, if you can tell me
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: what I need to add to that, I'm okay. But
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: once again, you gotta be careful who you talking to
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: and careful who you're listening to. So the list started.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: You know, the one thing I thought I would listen
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: to was one of them said, don't cuss so much. Okay,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I could take that, because that could be offensive to
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: some people. Okay, So I took that. Okay, that's something
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I can't do. But really, to get to what you
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: all trying to hell, I need to know what to
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: do and then it started into things just negativity. And
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: one of the things that one of the guys said
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: to me was, don't talk about God so much. And
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I said, excuse me, He said, don't talk about God
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: so much, and I threw me off a little bit.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: And I'm just looking at him. He said, because this
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: isn't a religious show or a spiritual show. And I
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: was thinking to him, well, it's not spiritual to youth,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: but the whole fact of me even being on a
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: talk show is a miracle to me. The fact that
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I've reached the levels in this business that I have
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: is a miracle to me. So this is not being
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: spiritual for you, I understand. But my whole walk is
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: nothing but grace and favor. So I was sitting there
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: looking at him and I said, well, that's not going
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: to happen because a long time ago, when I had nothing,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: I made a promise to God. I told God, I said,
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: if you let me make it, when I get there,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell everybody it was you. And you know
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: why I made that promise Because I was out of ideas,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: because I was out of moves to make, I was
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: all out of what to do next. I was all
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: out of bright ideas. You ever been there before where
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: you feel like you just out, Well, guess what I
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: told God? I was out and I was gonna step
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: aside and let him in. And now I do whatever
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: you tell me to do. I make the moves you
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: tell me to move, and I go where you tell
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: me to go. And if I make it, God, when
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: I get there, I'm gonna tell everybody it was you.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: That's why when I started this radio show, I started
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: the radio show the way I do when I was
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: doing stand up. Before I started, I said, before I
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: get started, I want to just say that God is
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: everything to me, and without God, I never ever would
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: have been nothing. I said that every single night before
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: I started my show. Guess what, I was keeping my promise,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: So I wasn't gonna break my promise for some people
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: at a talk show. See, but you gotta be careful
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: who you talking to, and then even more so, you
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: gotta be careful who you're listening to. Now. In that
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: meeting with them, I found that it was my last
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: meeting with them ever. They never met with me again,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: and I knew something was going on because Christmas, there
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: was no Christmas gift sent to my set. There was
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: no birthday gift sent to my set. Oh and next
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: thing I knew, everything was canceled. But you know what,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I never stopped talking about God. I never stopped talking
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: about faith. I stopped listening. I don't listen to people
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: that tell me what to do about my faith. And
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: I look up, and today I'm in better shape than
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: I'm ever been in in my life because I chose
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: to honor Him in spite of what they were telling
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: me to do. So now where are they versus where
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: am I? It's because I pay very close attention to
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: who I'm talking to, and I pay real close attention
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: to who I'm listening to. And I spend more time
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: talking to God and listening to God than I do anybody.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: And that right there is a true testament to why
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I am who I am today, because I am but
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: by the grace of God. And I'll never forget that,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: and I'll never let nobody tell me different. Those are
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: my clothes remarks today. You might see yourself in there
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: somewhere if you do. That's good. Hey, look talk to God, y'all.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: He loved to hear from y'all. Have a good day.
