- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta turn you, you gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out. Turn you got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out. Then turn the water the water go. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby, huh. I show well a good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You'all listening to the voice, Come on dig
- 2:07Speaker 1: me now one it only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Here we go today. I think I have something for
- 2:16Speaker 1: a lot of people today, at least I hope I do.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And this is about on your journey, And this is
- 2:23Speaker 1: about something that happens to us all. I mean, what
- 2:28Speaker 1: happens to all of us from time to time when
- 2:32Speaker 1: we get discouraged, What happens to all of us when
- 2:36Speaker 1: we feel like quitting, What happens to all of us
- 2:41Speaker 1: when we have that turn back moment, What happens to
- 2:45Speaker 1: all of us when it don't seem like it's gonna
- 2:48Speaker 1: pan out. Because I want you to understand something that everyone,
- 2:53Speaker 1: every single living soul, has those thoughts about something at
- 2:59Speaker 1: some point point in their life. I mean, you know, look,
- 3:03Speaker 1: I've oftentimes been discouraged about things not happening as fast
- 3:08Speaker 1: as I like them. All things don't pan out the
- 3:12Speaker 1: way I would like for them to have panned out.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I mean, there's so many ways to get discouraged. But
- 3:22Speaker 1: but what my encouragement to you is when discouragement comes
- 3:28Speaker 1: is understand this. It is a part of the growth process.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It is a test. It is a test of your faith.
- 3:42Speaker 1: How bad you want it, do you really believe? That's
- 3:49Speaker 1: all faith is. It's simply and I've said this how
- 3:52Speaker 1: many times. Faith is to belief in things that you
- 3:55Speaker 1: cannot see. So when discouragement comes, setbacks comes, it is
- 4:01Speaker 1: a test of your faith. At least it's been that
- 4:04Speaker 1: way for me. Now other people can explain it another way.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm not other people. I can only give it to
- 4:10Speaker 1: you the way it has come to me and throughout
- 4:12Speaker 1: my life, and man on man on man. Discouragement sometimes
- 4:16Speaker 1: it's tough to deal with because it seems at times
- 4:22Speaker 1: when you are discouraged that is so absolute that this
- 4:28Speaker 1: means the end, and if you allow it to set in,
- 4:34Speaker 1: it can be just that the end of you. When Milly, Milly,
- 4:39Speaker 1: it was a test, That's all it is. But the
- 4:43Speaker 1: majority of people that I know who are not successful
- 4:47Speaker 1: or who have told me the story of how they
- 4:49Speaker 1: gave up, it was because at a moment of discouragement
- 4:55Speaker 1: that they allowed it to set in and it became
- 4:59Speaker 1: so engulfing that it became the reason why you shouldn't finish.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And then they started justifying it with hither one that
- 5:07Speaker 1: I hate to hear. Well, if if it's God's will,
- 5:10Speaker 1: excuse me. If it's God's will that you fail. If
- 5:17Speaker 1: it's God's will that you're not successful. If it's God's
- 5:22Speaker 1: will that you lay down and give up, it's God's
- 5:26Speaker 1: will that you allow yourself to amount to to not
- 5:30Speaker 1: reach your potential. That's God's will. That's not the God
- 5:35Speaker 1: I know. That's not the God I served. That's not
- 5:39Speaker 1: the God I've read about. That's not the God I
- 5:42Speaker 1: believe in. I'm sorry. I just my mother always taught
- 5:46Speaker 1: me something that he didn't bring me this far to
- 5:48Speaker 1: leave me. I just don't believe that, not for a second.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Now have I convinced myself or some things, yep, have
- 6:00Speaker 1: I allowed the devil to come into the picture and
- 6:02Speaker 1: paint a different one from it. Yep, yep, I've done
- 6:06Speaker 1: all of that. But you can't blame that on God. Now,
- 6:09Speaker 1: come on, So when discouragement comes, try to look at
- 6:17Speaker 1: it if you can, as a test of your faith,
- 6:21Speaker 1: and you merely have to pass the test. It could
- 6:25Speaker 1: be for a day, a half a day, a few hours,
- 6:27Speaker 1: a week, a few weeks, it don't matter. Don't nobody
- 6:31Speaker 1: know how long the test period is. Your job is
- 6:34Speaker 1: to keep the faith and keep moving. Keep the faith
- 6:38Speaker 1: and keep moving, keep working, keep believing, keep hope alive.
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's your job. If you do that, that's how you
- 6:48Speaker 1: pass the test. It could be over tomorrow, it could
- 6:51Speaker 1: be over in two weeks, it could be over in
- 6:53Speaker 1: a month. You don't know. But all you got to
- 6:55Speaker 1: do is wake up and keep the faith and fight
- 6:58Speaker 1: the discouraging feeling. And how do you do that? Steve?
- 7:01Speaker 1: Now here we go. This is the part I know
- 7:04Speaker 1: about for show because how many times I've had to
- 7:07Speaker 1: fight off discouragement in order to get to where God
- 7:11Speaker 1: wanted me to be. What do you do when you
- 7:15Speaker 1: become discouraged? Well, I think of the outcome. When I
- 7:21Speaker 1: get discouraged about a task, I think about the outcome. Man,
- 7:26Speaker 1: what would it be like if I were to complete
- 7:28Speaker 1: the task? What would it be like? Man? What would
- 7:31Speaker 1: the outcome be for me if I hung on in there?
- 7:34Speaker 1: If I didn't give up, if I if I imagine,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I imagine if I don't quit. I imagine if I
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't give up, What would it be like? Man, Suppose
- 7:49Speaker 1: everything I'm hoping for comes true. But if I don't
- 7:52Speaker 1: quit and give up, that might just be the case.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I start talking to myself like that, I think, think
- 8:00Speaker 1: of what the upside is? What's the upside to stay
- 8:04Speaker 1: in with it? You see, all this is the same thing.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I'm just giving you different ways to look at it.
- 8:09Speaker 1: I'm saying the exact same thing over and over. But
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm just trying to find the switch that connects in
- 8:14Speaker 1: your mind where you can say, Okay, man, I'm gonna
- 8:17Speaker 1: hang in there. Because if you think of the outcome
- 8:21Speaker 1: and the outcome is appealing to you, if you imagine
- 8:24Speaker 1: what it would be like if you don't give up
- 8:26Speaker 1: or you don't quit, you if you think only of
- 8:30Speaker 1: what the upside is to stay in with it, And
- 8:34Speaker 1: then I go, where can this lead to? If I
- 8:38Speaker 1: stay with it? Man, and the outcome comes true? What
- 8:42Speaker 1: else could that lead me to? Because I mean, there's
- 8:45Speaker 1: always more to it. So where else could this lead
- 8:49Speaker 1: me to? What are the possibilities? Man? What are the
- 8:54Speaker 1: limitless possibilities? What could God possibly have in store for me?
- 9:00Speaker 1: If I just hang in there? If I pass this
- 9:02Speaker 1: test of faith? If I just passed this test, Now,
- 9:06Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be the only one. But you gotta
- 9:09Speaker 1: get past this one. No, then you're gonna hit a
- 9:11Speaker 1: smooth plane. Then it's gonna be another one. It's gonna
- 9:14Speaker 1: be another one. Life ain't none but a series of tests. Man. Man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: when you're thinking about giving up, when you're discourage, think
- 9:24Speaker 1: of the outcome. Imagine what it would be like if
- 9:28Speaker 1: you don't quit, if you don't give up, what's the
- 9:30Speaker 1: upside to stay in with it? Where can this all
- 9:34Speaker 1: lead to? What? What can this get you too? If
- 9:37Speaker 1: you do this and you get to where you think
- 9:40Speaker 1: you want to be, Oh my god, what's after that?
- 9:43Speaker 1: What are the limitless and endless possibilities of holding on
- 9:48Speaker 1: to your faith? What could really be out there for me? Man?
- 9:52Speaker 1: If I just passed this test, you gotta talk yourself
- 9:55Speaker 1: into hanging in there. You're listening tow ladies, and gentlemen
- 10:04Speaker 1: today it's gonna be a little bit different, and that
- 10:08Speaker 1: we have half or the cast missing. Shirley's out on
- 10:16Speaker 1: vacation birthday. Here is out on vacation, and Jay is
- 10:23Speaker 1: out as always. They know, damn vacation. His whole job
- 10:31Speaker 1: is a vacation, Ladies and gentlemen. Without further ado, the
- 10:37Speaker 1: me goals quavold all set and take one or take
- 10:47Speaker 1: all for and first take what is all set? Take
- 10:57Speaker 1: off here? Cold dude, I like take off. I like
- 11:01Speaker 1: quay voter, I like all. I like all of them,

- 11:25Speaker 1: get cut your mic on? Oh hell day Amy Offset
- 11:32Speaker 1: In a comedy world, that's me, that's me, that's me. Yeah, Yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 1: it's Thursday. How are you feeling Steve this morning? You
- 11:41Speaker 1: know I'm good. I wake up good. You know I

- 11:49Speaker 1: You suck a lot of people are my friend has
- 11:52Speaker 1: been moved to a regular room. Here we go. He's
- 11:55Speaker 1: out of our CEU. He's in the regular room in
- 11:58Speaker 1: the hospital, so that's probably good. Can we talk to him,
- 12:03Speaker 1: big dog? Yeah, yeah, you ain't gonna want too though, Yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: but I mean it ain't the same though, Okay, Okay,
- 12:14Speaker 1: you know he's not that strong yet. Well, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I guess you know. Yeah, I'd like
- 12:21Speaker 1: to talk to him, dog. You know, just hear his story. Man,
- 12:26Speaker 1: Oh no, you you ain't gonna like it. I'm trying
- 12:30Speaker 1: to tell you now, you ain't gonna like the story? What? What? What? What?
- 12:34Speaker 1: After you get out of the hospital, I'm gonna I'm
- 12:37Speaker 1: gonna see if he'll come on the radio show to
- 12:40Speaker 1: talk about it. Okay, and you know, see if we
- 12:43Speaker 1: can get some more people get these vaccinations. Man's staying
- 12:47Speaker 1: a serious man. Yeah, And this is a friend of
- 12:50Speaker 1: yours who had COVID and did not get the vaccination,
- 12:54Speaker 1: and he's in the hospital. Right, that's right, that's right.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I mean, man, And it's tough, man. That thing is
- 13:00Speaker 1: tough because you don't know how it's gonna hit you. Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 1: it's tough, man. It's serious and weird. And you don't
- 13:07Speaker 1: even go ahead call it. I was just saying, we're
- 13:10Speaker 1: going backwards, and yeah, we're going backwards. And let me
- 13:13Speaker 1: tell you something. You don't have to have pre existing conditions. No, no,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I'll tell you what if you haven't been eating right
- 13:20Speaker 1: and you ain't been working out, is it you know
- 13:23Speaker 1: it's got something for you. Yeah? Hell yeah, so that's
- 13:27Speaker 1: another thing. Sorry. Yeah, Well, prayer healing for your friends.
- 13:32Speaker 1: When we come back at thirty two after the hours, Steve,
- 13:34Speaker 1: we're gonna kick off. Ask the CLO right after this.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Why they don't never asked me nothing? You're listening to Okay,
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now Steve for ask the CLO. That is you,
- 13:51Speaker 1: my brother. This one is from Harper in Nashville. Harper says,
- 13:55Speaker 1: my wife and Harper that's right his dad at Harpor
- 13:59Speaker 1: her go ahead. My wife and I are fifty seven
- 14:02Speaker 1: years old, but she's not a young fifty seven year
- 14:06Speaker 1: old like me. I'm not the most physically fit person
- 14:10Speaker 1: by I enjoy talking and taking a walk in the
- 14:14Speaker 1: neighborhood or walking to get some coffee in the mornings.
- 14:17Speaker 1: But my wife is lazy, a complainer that wants to
- 14:20Speaker 1: drive everywhere and sit around the house all day. She's
- 14:24Speaker 1: in great health and she's still slim and trim like
- 14:27Speaker 1: I like it. But I'm concerned about growing old gracefully
- 14:31Speaker 1: with her because she's aging faster than I am. How
- 14:35Speaker 1: do I start this conversation with her, Well, you gotta
- 14:39Speaker 1: tell her real suthing. You're the love of my life.
- 14:42Speaker 1: You're my soul maid. I love you, and I want
- 14:47Speaker 1: us to grow old together, soul. I want us to
- 14:50Speaker 1: start doing some things together that might keep us here longer.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I think we should get on her eating regiment together.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I think we should go on walks together. Though. I
- 15:01Speaker 1: think we should do a lot to do some more
- 15:03Speaker 1: activities together so we can grow old and you know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and and and and stay fit. You know, let's go
- 15:09Speaker 1: down here and get into some yoga, you know, let's
- 15:12Speaker 1: get into a pilates class. You know, let's go take all,
- 15:18Speaker 1: you know, stuff like that. But you've got to make
- 15:20Speaker 1: it a wee project and not a her project. Okay,
- 15:26Speaker 1: that's pointing at saying, oh no, sir, no, sir, don't
- 15:32Speaker 1: do that. So when she when he say all that, dog,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you don't think she comes she come back and say
- 15:36Speaker 1: so you're trying to say I'm big. That's what you're
- 15:38Speaker 1: trying to say. You know, that's exactly body trying to say.
- 15:40Speaker 1: But she ain't big, and he said that in the letter.
- 15:44Speaker 1: But no, I'm just worried. I just want us to
- 15:48Speaker 1: have the best quality life that we can have healthy. Yes, yes, keywords.
- 15:53Speaker 1: That's some good words. You're telling them what to do,
- 15:55Speaker 1: all right, clo, here we go Tamara in New New Work,
- 16:00Speaker 1: New Jersey. She says, I'm a forty four year old singer,
- 16:02Speaker 1: mother of a twenty year old son. Growing up, he
- 16:06Speaker 1: had his own phone line, his own car for his
- 16:08Speaker 1: sixteenth birthday, his own credit card, and he said his
- 16:12Speaker 1: own curfew. Because he's always been a straight a student
- 16:17Speaker 1: and very mature. When he turned twenty and got a
- 16:20Speaker 1: new girlfriend, all of that change. Now he's talking about
- 16:24Speaker 1: taking a break from college and I can tell he's
- 16:27Speaker 1: smoking weed. I think this new girl who's four years
- 16:31Speaker 1: older than him that he is, is the cause of this.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Is he too old now for me to intervene? God? Well,
- 16:42Speaker 1: it's never too old to intervene. Okay, But your boy
- 16:47Speaker 1: got a problem. Yeah, you know he didn't got he
- 16:50Speaker 1: didn't got something put on him? Is that what it is? That,
- 17:02Speaker 1: and look, it's not about intervening, but you got to
- 17:05Speaker 1: bring up the subject. And you know you still I
- 17:07Speaker 1: don't care how old they get. You still on the parent, right,
- 17:10Speaker 1: and you being forty four, you do no more than
- 17:13Speaker 1: he does at twenty. So you're gonna have to reach
- 17:15Speaker 1: the subject and at least put it out. There Fore,
- 17:18Speaker 1: you can't do nothing at that age where they can
- 17:20Speaker 1: make decisions and go the other way of everything and
- 17:22Speaker 1: counter to what you've taught them. That's just part of that.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Tommy and I have kids at that age, so we
- 17:29Speaker 1: already know. So you know, good luck. But he's not
- 17:34Speaker 1: too old for you to bring up the subject. Okay,
- 17:37Speaker 1: So she keep on bringing it up and keep talking. Yeah, okay,
- 17:40Speaker 1: all right, here we go. See. Hello. This is from
- 17:43Speaker 1: Little D in Mobile, Alabama. I am a twenty seven
- 17:47Speaker 1: year old man and I have three kids by the
- 17:49Speaker 1: same female. She's twenty five, and every time she gets pregnant,
- 17:53Speaker 1: we break up and she doesn't talk to me during
- 17:55Speaker 1: her entire pregnancy. I want to marry this woman, but
- 17:59Speaker 1: she said that she's done with me. Since I've been
- 18:03Speaker 1: dragging my feet, I didn't want to marry her as
- 18:06Speaker 1: long as I was on probation, still on probation and broke.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I know we're doing this thing a bit backwards, but
- 18:13Speaker 1: I want to show her that I can be a
- 18:15Speaker 1: good man and father to our family. How can I
- 18:18Speaker 1: get my girl back for good this time? Well, let
- 18:23Speaker 1: me explain something, little d Yeah, I know you ain't
- 18:28Speaker 1: had time to tell a whole thing, but she break
- 18:32Speaker 1: up with you every time you get pregnant because of
- 18:34Speaker 1: a reason. A woman just don't get pregnant and then
- 18:38Speaker 1: break up with the dude that got her pregnant for
- 18:41Speaker 1: no reason. Also keeps happening now that you're not telling
- 18:49Speaker 1: in the letter for her to break up with you
- 18:53Speaker 1: every time she gets pregnant. And now your letter is
- 18:56Speaker 1: a good letter, young man. But your question is how
- 19:00Speaker 1: how do I get her back permanently? Well, first of all,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you have to convince her of the things that you
- 19:07Speaker 1: keep doing on a regularity that you're not gonna do
- 19:10Speaker 1: it anymore. And the best way to show a woman
- 19:14Speaker 1: that you're gonna be a good man and a good
- 19:16Speaker 1: husband is to start being a good man and a
- 19:20Speaker 1: good father. You already got three babies. It's easy to
- 19:24Speaker 1: prove that you can be a good father. That's easy.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Just get to be in it. But something you're doing
- 19:31Speaker 1: is not in this letter, and it's something is causing
- 19:34Speaker 1: her to have some reservations. Only you can answer that
- 19:37Speaker 1: question a little d. But then you can get her
- 19:40Speaker 1: back if you start being what you say you are
- 19:44Speaker 1: instead of just saying what you're about to be. You
- 19:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Action action? Yeah, man, you can
- 19:51Speaker 1: fix all that proven stuff by doing it, and then
- 19:57Speaker 1: maybe one day you'll be big DP because right now quiet,
- 20:02Speaker 1: we got one more quickly. Yogi in Detroit, my sister
- 20:04Speaker 1: in law my husband get on my last nerve. Whenever
- 20:06Speaker 1: they are together. My husband is fine and when he's
- 20:11Speaker 1: not with her, but the moment she steps in, he
- 20:14Speaker 1: starts talking proper and acting like a new fool. They
- 20:17Speaker 1: grew up in a totally different part of the town
- 20:19Speaker 1: than I did, and my sister in law has always
- 20:21Speaker 1: looked down on me because of it. I have a PhD.
- 20:24Speaker 1: And I'm smarter than both of them combined, but they
- 20:26Speaker 1: believe social status is everything. How do I get my
- 20:29Speaker 1: husband to stop being a boogie? Butthead around her? Oh
- 20:35Speaker 1: ten seconds? Say it in ten seconds? Yeah, Well, since
- 20:41Speaker 1: they ain't gonna change their mind about your hands keeping
- 20:48Speaker 1: it real. Yeah, let me go and show you how
- 20:51Speaker 1: who I am. That's what you gonna call me? Yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 1: if you. Timmy's run that brankback right after this, you're
- 21:02Speaker 1: listening morning show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Miss Anne is standing by with National News and in
- 21:10Speaker 1: Entertainment News R Kelly. His lawyers have responded to the
- 21:14Speaker 1: latest allegations, plus an other entertainment news actors, Ashton, Kutcher,
- 21:20Speaker 1: Tommy and his wife Mina coolness. They aren't big on bathing.
- 21:27Speaker 1: This is not a print, you know, because you could
- 21:33Speaker 1: be punk like that, you know, because one of the
- 21:36Speaker 1: best in the game. You know, that's just what Yeah,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I mean, okay, he is. He's what I look up
- 21:41Speaker 1: to when it comes to print. Okay. I hope to
- 21:46Speaker 1: one day be the black Ashton, because that's a bad
- 21:50Speaker 1: boy right there. It's it's your own show and all that. Yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 1: it ain't a race thing. It's just it's just an
- 21:56Speaker 1: ignorant thing. You just to be that ignorant. I didn't
- 22:01Speaker 1: know you felt that way about him, Okay, all right,
- 22:03Speaker 1: well we'll talk about you ain't other doors. I ain't know.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I know now, I know now all pranksters across the country.
- 22:10Speaker 1: It's one love and across the world. We look up
- 22:13Speaker 1: to him because he has the best ignorant. Yeah, he's

- 24:04Speaker 1: you know, doing some some different woods, uh, cherry, you know.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I kind of mix it in a little bit of hickory,
- 24:10Speaker 1: you know what, kind of depends on what I'm cooking,
- 24:12Speaker 1: whether it's some fish just you know, chicken, I mix
- 24:14Speaker 1: it up every now and then. Sometimes I have legally
- 24:17Speaker 1: been experimented with this mesquite Yeah, I mean the sleeve
- 24:20Speaker 1: that just fall off the boat every day about after
- 24:24Speaker 1: four or three. Yeah, that's that's what I've been smelling
- 24:26Speaker 1: smoke because you'll smoke. You'll smoke coming to my yard,
- 24:30Speaker 1: you know, I'm I'm I'm two blocks oh when you'll
- 24:32Speaker 1: smoke carrying a good distance man. But yeah, but that's
- 24:35Speaker 1: all rights, all right. But but I've been soaking my

- 24:41Speaker 1: been just trying some new techniques. You know, nothing crazy,
- 24:45Speaker 1: let me go crazy. No, it ain't got me going crazy,
- 24:49Speaker 1: to be completely honest with you, It's kind of got

- 26:07Speaker 1: No modg you gonna tell me what the two? You
- 26:09Speaker 1: don't even know me like that. You just gonna have
- 26:11Speaker 1: to smell it. I'm just saying, I'm two blocks old
- 26:14Speaker 1: and I'm tired of smelling your smoke. I'm tired of
- 26:16Speaker 1: smelling it. You don't know what you're doing. Don't put
- 26:19Speaker 1: nothing else on that pit for at least another money.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. If I put
- 26:23Speaker 1: some rotten and tomatoes on there and I want to smoke,
- 26:27Speaker 1: you're gonna smell it. How about that? Man? Okay, man, no, no, no, no, no,
- 26:31Speaker 1: I'm bored out of my mind. You called me talking
- 26:36Speaker 1: because because you got the smoking add to smell like
- 26:40Speaker 1: you don't know what you're doing. I do know what
- 26:42Speaker 1: I'm doing. Have you tasted it? I don't want to
- 26:46Speaker 1: taste it. I don't want my set off the bone.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I've been experimented. Okay, Okay, I did put some apple sauce.
- 26:53Speaker 1: See that right there? What the kids that you did?
- 26:56Speaker 1: What with some apple sauce? Hey man, don't put you
- 27:00Speaker 1: else on that grit. Okay, I'm gonna sending you some

- 27:11Speaker 1: got no job right now, you're telling me what to do.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I ain't got your house. And you're just gonna tell
- 27:16Speaker 1: me what to do if your food is tight? While
- 27:19Speaker 1: are you wasting it on the bottoms? Brother? Just quick, no, no,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out how to stop your ass
- 27:26Speaker 1: from cooking. Man, I'm doing what no cooking out on
- 27:30Speaker 1: the grill, and everybody got the smells and that we
- 27:33Speaker 1: know ain't being cook right. I'm a barbecue man. I
- 27:36Speaker 1: know what I'm doing. You don't. It bothers me. So
- 27:38Speaker 1: that's why I got your number. You got a sauce
- 27:41Speaker 1: with what competition you want? I don't have to be
- 27:43Speaker 1: in no competitions. Everybody come to get my barbecue? Who
- 27:47Speaker 1: that the bombs? No? I ain't no okay, hey man,
- 27:50Speaker 1: hey man, listen let's finish this this way. If you
- 27:54Speaker 1: put something else on the grill, I'm gonna come around
- 27:56Speaker 1: the whoop your ass. You ain't got how about that?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Just so my damn, it's called me with this bull.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Hey man, Hey, this this nephew tim Me from the
- 28:16Speaker 1: Steve Harbin Morning Show. Your cousins can started this. Your cousin,
- 28:26Speaker 1: your cousin, trait guy got me to frank you man,
- 28:30Speaker 1: that mother came over here gotta play yesterday. They were
- 28:34Speaker 1: ready the corner, snicking with my eyes just for nothing. Now,
- 28:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now. He no, he ain't
- 28:41Speaker 1: allowed over here at all. He ain't allowed over here,
- 28:44Speaker 1: hate all, no more. We didn't socially distance his ass
- 28:48Speaker 1: hashtagging in the front and the back. Hey man, you
- 28:51Speaker 1: gotta tell me this right here, right here, right now, Gerald,
- 28:55Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 28:57Speaker 1: show in the land. Come on, brother, the Steve Harvey
- 29:01Speaker 1: Morning Show man with this nine shit talking about my
- 29:03Speaker 1: foolish suffice. Oh my god, oh my god. You know what.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I don't even want to say it, but dog go
- 29:12Speaker 1: to it. I think I am the greatest that has
- 29:14Speaker 1: ever done it. I am the prank phone call key,
- 29:17Speaker 1: I can't hi the that you are coming up entertainment
- 29:20Speaker 1: and national news. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, guys,
- 29:29Speaker 1: So you know, we've been watching Olympics and someone Biles
- 29:34Speaker 1: has been getting so much support from so many people, celebrities, athletes,
- 29:40Speaker 1: everybody has been supporting her decision to pull out of
- 29:44Speaker 1: the Olympics, the individual games, the team we know. She
- 29:47Speaker 1: pulled out the USA gymnastics team, the female team. They
- 29:52Speaker 1: won the silver medal, and she talked about her mental health.
- 29:57Speaker 1: She's just in a different place, she said, she says,
- 30:00Speaker 1: dealing with some things and she didn't want to hurt
- 30:01Speaker 1: herself hurt the team. Well check this out, guys. The
- 30:05Speaker 1: Texas Deputy Attorney General, his name is Aaron Rates. He
- 30:11Speaker 1: has sparked outrage on social media. He tweeted that Simone
- 30:16Speaker 1: Biles was a national embarrassment after her withdrawal from the
- 30:22Speaker 1: Tokyo Olympics. Ye got to do with the Olympics. How
- 30:26Speaker 1: dare him tweet something like that? You know, he's trying
- 30:30Speaker 1: to say that she's selfish, and he compared her to
- 30:32Speaker 1: other gymnasts in the early nineties. Her name was Kern
- 30:37Speaker 1: Carrie Strug and she competed. I think she had an
- 30:40Speaker 1: ankle injury and she competed, and so he's trying to
- 30:44Speaker 1: compare Simone Biles to carry Strug. Carrie tweeted that she
- 30:50Speaker 1: supported Simone Biles and that she was not, you know,
- 30:53Speaker 1: on board with what this Texas Attorney Journal tweeted, Well,
- 30:57Speaker 1: you know, I mean, first of all, the young lady
- 31:00Speaker 1: in the nineties had an ankle injury. Simone doesn't have
- 31:03Speaker 1: an ankle injury. She has an injury that's going on
- 31:06Speaker 1: internally that we know nothing about. Secondly, this Deputy Attorney
- 31:11Speaker 1: General with his missque Lass position, has other things he
- 31:15Speaker 1: should be concerned about, like voting rights. But I bet
- 31:21Speaker 1: if you concerned about Simone Bows, you don't give a
- 31:24Speaker 1: damn about voting ranks. And I can ensure you're voting
- 31:27Speaker 1: against voting rights for other people. So that puts you
- 31:31Speaker 1: in the category of racist to me. So, now that
- 31:34Speaker 1: we've got that part of it out the way, you
- 31:38Speaker 1: are talking about a young girl, basically, let's just be real.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Who do flips? Right? What she don't want to? Shan
- 31:47Speaker 1: won't play no more right, she won't go home. She tired.
- 31:52Speaker 1: It is. She don't want the pressure, no mold. Whatever's
- 31:55Speaker 1: going on with her, it's really none of our business.
- 31:59Speaker 1: She pulled out of the Olympics after all that preparation
- 32:03Speaker 1: for her to pull out. Don't you think something could
- 32:06Speaker 1: possibly be wrong? And so you know, I mean, but
- 32:10Speaker 1: really we're talking about the Olympics. What y'all talking about?
- 32:16Speaker 1: You don't look man, When Clay Thomas got injured for
- 32:20Speaker 1: the Golden State Warriors in the middle of it, Clay Thompson,
- 32:24Speaker 1: he went out Jamal Mary with the Denver Nuggets, he
- 32:28Speaker 1: got injured, he went out. The Brooklyn Nets didn't get
- 32:31Speaker 1: to play in the finals because they had injuries. The
- 32:35Speaker 1: girl has an injury that we're unable to see. But
- 32:40Speaker 1: still something is wrong. It's an injury that takes people's out.
- 32:45Speaker 1: The tennis player, what's her name, she pulled out because
- 32:50Speaker 1: she had an injury that you can't see, y'all stupid,
- 32:55Speaker 1: she flept. You want a gold met take your monck
- 33:01Speaker 1: ass over there and win one, mister Attorney General. Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: you don't even do nothing, and you passing judgment on
- 33:10Speaker 1: people who them. She's one of the greatest gymnasts of
- 33:13Speaker 1: all times. She'll won't do it no more. You go
- 33:16Speaker 1: over there and get go over there and get a
- 33:18Speaker 1: damn medal yourself, Yes, sir, Time for today headlines Steve,
- 33:24Speaker 1: let's go man, ladies and gentlemen, miss and triumph. Yeah,
- 33:29Speaker 1: we're gonna get to that one. Good morning, everybody, here
- 33:32Speaker 1: we go. President Biden is to announce later today that
- 33:35Speaker 1: all Americans should start masking up again, even vaccinated people,
- 33:39Speaker 1: and that, of course is because of that of the
- 33:41Speaker 1: variant that's going on to coronavirus, which is very very
- 33:44Speaker 1: very very contagious. No real surprise though. Republican House Leader
- 33:48Speaker 1: Kevin McCarthy's critical of the CDC's new mask requirement that
- 33:52Speaker 1: even vaccinated people should wear masks indoors. McCarthy calls the
- 33:56Speaker 1: reinstitution of restrictions quote a decision not based on science.
- 34:00Speaker 1: How Speaker Nancy Pelosi A reportedly called McCarthy a moron.
- 34:04Speaker 1: When asked about it again by the press, she put
- 34:07Speaker 1: it like this. To say that wearing a mask is
- 34:10Speaker 1: not based on science, I think is not wise and
- 34:14Speaker 1: that was my comment. Certainly, the Republican Party has been
- 34:18Speaker 1: delinquent and embracing the science that people need to be vaccinated,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and she says, you know, if everything is evident, Oh,
- 34:28Speaker 1: we talk about Republicans again. Texas Deputy Attorney generally just
- 34:31Speaker 1: heard of a little bit about that from Stephen. The folks.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Aaron Rights has sparked outrage on social media for tweeting
- 34:36Speaker 1: that uber athlete Simone Biles is a quote national embarrassment
- 34:40Speaker 1: unquote because she's announced her withdrawal from this week's Tokyo Olympics.
- 34:44Speaker 1: No word on whether she'll participate in next week's Individual Apparatus,
- 34:48Speaker 1: a competition just one day after withdrawing from the team
- 34:51Speaker 1: division because of mental stress of Biles, who was a
- 34:54Speaker 1: Houston native, and says she is pulling out of the
- 34:57Speaker 1: games for at least for this week. She says her
- 34:59Speaker 1: body's but her mind is not, and the Texas AG
- 35:02Speaker 1: calls her a selfish, childish, national embarrassment. Wealth folks on
- 35:05Speaker 1: social media coming down hard on this guy, demanding that
- 35:08Speaker 1: he apologize, and so are her teammates. They support her,
- 35:12Speaker 1: they support the young athlete. Olympic spokesman Mark Adams says
- 35:15Speaker 1: there'll be everyone behind her. There is in the village,
- 35:19Speaker 1: on top of all the psychologists and so on that
- 35:22Speaker 1: we have there there is also a helpline in seventy
- 35:26Speaker 1: languages which will keep going after the games, and that
- 35:30Speaker 1: Deputy Age has since removed his little nasty tweet. According
- 35:33Speaker 1: to a published report, the architect of the Florida condo
- 35:36Speaker 1: that collapsed last month, killing ninety eight people, was reportedly
- 35:40Speaker 1: suspended for gross incompetency years earlier because of the structural
- 35:45Speaker 1: failures associated with another work of his. William Friedman designed
- 35:49Speaker 1: the cha Champlaining Towers South, and the Florida Board of
- 35:52Speaker 1: Architecture found this guy, Freedman, who died in two thousand
- 35:55Speaker 1: and eight, guilty of gross incompetence. It's important to mention
- 35:58Speaker 1: that the officials haven't really determine the exact cause of
- 36:01Speaker 1: the collapse or whether Freeman's design paid roll. But I
- 36:03Speaker 1: just you need to know that today's visited a neighbor day.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Good morning. I'll bring you some cupcakes. Now back to
- 36:10Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steven Show.
- 36:15Speaker 1: All right, check this out, guys. Charles Barkley says the
- 36:18Speaker 1: only people who don't have the COVID nineteen vaccines are
- 36:22Speaker 1: just well buttholes. But he said a hole, said Carl.
- 36:27Speaker 1: He said a hole. Char said, people that don't get
- 36:32Speaker 1: the vaccine, asshole, thank you, thank you. That's it was
- 36:43Speaker 1: my honor. Well check this out. While appearing on see
- 36:48Speaker 1: c NBC I should say, Charles Barkley said, I'm vaccinated,
- 36:51Speaker 1: and everybody should be vaccinated period. The only people who
- 36:56Speaker 1: are not vaccinated are just a holes. So Charles went
- 37:00Speaker 1: on to say he personally thinks that the sports leagues
- 37:04Speaker 1: should force players to get vaccinated, and he said, can
- 37:08Speaker 1: you imagine if one of these guys that are not vaccinated,
- 37:11Speaker 1: if they were, you know, they want these players or
- 37:14Speaker 1: their kids, or their wives, or their girlfriends or their
- 37:16Speaker 1: parents get sick and die over some unnecessary conspiracy bull blank,
- 37:24Speaker 1: that's sir. Charles said, I don't understand somebody else on
- 37:27Speaker 1: the team, and you got all these people around you,
- 37:29Speaker 1: I don't understand them not getting vaccinated. That makes no sense.
- 37:32Speaker 1: You know, you playing day in and day out, you
- 37:35Speaker 1: know that this virus is deadly, and you don't want
- 37:38Speaker 1: to You don't want to protect yourself and anybody around you.
- 37:40Speaker 1: That don't make no sense to me. It not only
- 37:42Speaker 1: don't make no sense if you playing basketball on the
- 37:45Speaker 1: team sport, it don't make no sense if you're part
- 37:48Speaker 1: of a family right to see. Yeah, your loved ones. Yeah,
- 37:53Speaker 1: it's it's it's more non athletes than it is athletes
- 37:57Speaker 1: that's walking around not vaccinated. And I started to on
- 38:01Speaker 1: this show not to push the vaccination because I was
- 38:04Speaker 1: getting so many friends of mine gonna, hey, man, Steve,
- 38:07Speaker 1: and ain't right for you to push that you don't
- 38:09Speaker 1: know what's in it, sending people off to slaughter. Well,
- 38:13Speaker 1: now that several very very close people in my life
- 38:17Speaker 1: have contracted COVID, and a very very close person in
- 38:20Speaker 1: my life it's in the hospital right now suffering been
- 38:24Speaker 1: in I SEU five days with COVID. They just moved
- 38:29Speaker 1: him to a regular room. I was able to talk
- 38:32Speaker 1: to him. He said, Man, I wish I got that vaccine. Wow.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Now there's a report out somebody told me as I
- 38:41Speaker 1: haven't seen it, but somebody said that most people who
- 38:44Speaker 1: are in the hospital now who have contracted COVID, who
- 38:48Speaker 1: do not have the vaccine, every last one of them
- 38:52Speaker 1: has said I wish I had taken the vaccine now,
- 38:56Speaker 1: because see, once you get hospitalized, those symptoms and got serious,
- 39:01Speaker 1: very serious. This is a serious, deadly diseased. My in
- 39:05Speaker 1: laws who are in their eighties got vaccinated. The nurse
- 39:09Speaker 1: that goes to their house gave them COVID. They didn't
- 39:12Speaker 1: even have to go to the hospital now pre existing condition,
- 39:15Speaker 1: and the doctor clearly stated if they had not got
- 39:18Speaker 1: this vaccine two weeks ago when we celebrated their sixty,
- 39:21Speaker 1: if we're in the anniversary, might not be having it.
- 39:25Speaker 1: More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this,
- 39:28Speaker 1: you're listening to show as we get older, you guys,
- 39:34Speaker 1: the family dynamic tends to turn with you know, kids
- 39:39Speaker 1: suddenly feeling the need to look after and take care
- 39:42Speaker 1: of their parents regardless of the relationship that they have
- 39:45Speaker 1: with them. Well, this one mom doesn't think that that's
- 39:49Speaker 1: the case. She's gone viral sharing her opinion on TikTok
- 39:55Speaker 1: and she recently posted a video where she expressed her
- 39:58Speaker 1: belief that kids don't oh parents anything and it quickly
- 40:03Speaker 1: went viral. She got like five million views where she's
- 40:07Speaker 1: saying that she's grateful for what her mom has done
- 40:10Speaker 1: for her, but she's just saying that children don't owe
- 40:14Speaker 1: their parents are certain kind of relationship, they don't owe
- 40:17Speaker 1: them anything depending on what the parent did for them
- 40:20Speaker 1: or if the parent didn't respect them or they didn't
- 40:23Speaker 1: have this relationship. So I don't know, what do you
- 40:26Speaker 1: guys think? Do you think your kids owe you something
- 40:30Speaker 1: for raising them? Or Steve, you're really good at this.
- 40:33Speaker 1: What kind of advice can you give to parents out there?
- 40:36Speaker 1: I think we kind of talked about parenting the other
- 40:38Speaker 1: day during closing remarks. What do you think? I mean? Look,
- 40:41Speaker 1: parenting can be a thankless job at times. Yeah, but
- 40:44Speaker 1: wouldn't it be great if it was? Or not? But
- 40:47Speaker 1: if it was a thankful job, I'm grateful for my parents,
- 40:53Speaker 1: the life and the love and the discipline and the
- 40:56Speaker 1: lessons they taught me. Yes, I'm grateful to my parents.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I am forever grateful, and I felt indebted to them
- 41:04Speaker 1: because what they gave me got me to where I
- 41:06Speaker 1: am today. My mother gave me faith, and my daddy
- 41:09Speaker 1: gave me work, ethic and the principles of manhood. Them
- 41:13Speaker 1: two things are the cornerstone of who I am today.
- 41:16Speaker 1: So now I feel an obligation to them now, just
- 41:23Speaker 1: like Tommy, me, every man that I know that's worth
- 41:27Speaker 1: They salt when they get their hands on their money.
- 41:30Speaker 1: They won't do something for their mom. They won't do
- 41:32Speaker 1: something for their daddy. Anybody I know, every man that
- 41:36Speaker 1: I know is worth is salt. So I don't know
- 41:40Speaker 1: where you know, this is a new generation, this generation
- 41:45Speaker 1: the kids is different. Man. And you know, I got
- 41:49Speaker 1: you feel like you don't owe but where's your sense
- 41:55Speaker 1: of gratitude for what was done to you? Because everybody
- 42:00Speaker 1: don't get great parents, and if you get a pair
- 42:04Speaker 1: of great parents, you blessed. You're very fortunate. And I
- 42:14Speaker 1: think too, this is a cultural thing. Because this woman
- 42:16Speaker 1: was on TikTok and I looked her up. She is white,
- 42:19Speaker 1: and I think that for us, we talk about as
- 42:23Speaker 1: African Americans, the responsibility and the gratitude that we have
- 42:29Speaker 1: for our parents. How we no, it's not a burden,
- 42:33Speaker 1: but it's just what we do. You know, how do
- 42:37Speaker 1: you understand what I'm trying to say as a as
- 42:39Speaker 1: a culture thing and what we do with that with
- 42:41Speaker 1: our parenting and take care parents. Look, we come up
- 42:46Speaker 1: in a way where I felt like I owed my parents,
- 42:50Speaker 1: That's what I mean, that's it. Yes, you know, and
- 42:55Speaker 1: I respected them and honored them. I honored my mother
- 42:59Speaker 1: and father. Now you may feel like you don't owe
- 43:02Speaker 1: your parents nothing like they do, and what they're supposed
- 43:04Speaker 1: to do. But I think when you're the recipient of
- 43:09Speaker 1: a great parent, I think you're blessed, and I think
- 43:13Speaker 1: that should be some level of importance. And I think
- 43:15Speaker 1: if they took care of you when you needed it,
- 43:17Speaker 1: I think you should take care of them when they
- 43:19Speaker 1: need it. That's your go hand in hand because your
- 43:22Speaker 1: mom and daddy could have walked off from your monkey ass,
- 43:25Speaker 1: but if they stayed there, then help guide you through
- 43:28Speaker 1: some tough times. You can't do the same thing for
- 43:30Speaker 1: them when they get old. I just I just think
- 43:33Speaker 1: we've lost our sense of respect and responsibility a lot
- 43:38Speaker 1: of times. And you know, the woman, she can say
- 43:40Speaker 1: what she wanted to say. She got every right and
- 43:42Speaker 1: she got every right to feel that way. But I disagree.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I would think that, after all I've been and done
- 43:51Speaker 1: for my children, that if I got old and needed something,
- 43:54Speaker 1: they would be there for me. And I'm banking at
- 43:57Speaker 1: least three of them to do that. What about the
- 44:01Speaker 1: other four? You're not quite sure you wrote for that? See, yeah, yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 1: parenting is like you said, it's a thankless job sometimes.
- 44:14Speaker 1: But I love my parents, love my mama, all right.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Coming up next, the nephew is here. We're gonna switch gears.
- 44:20Speaker 1: You got today's prank phone call right after this you're
- 44:24Speaker 1: listening to show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 44:30Speaker 1: right about four minutes after Shirley is off today. But
- 44:34Speaker 1: check this out. She left us with a strawberry letter
- 44:37Speaker 1: and the subject is my first dating mistake. But right,
- 44:44Speaker 1: don't we all? Yes, yes, don't we all? Never this? Right?
- 44:48Speaker 1: Here is Sarah? Is it seg You know it's not segregated?
- 44:53Speaker 1: What will you braking somebody about segregation? I don't know,
- 44:58Speaker 1: but Sah, it's Sarah Grant, mother of segregated mother. I
- 45:01Speaker 1: can't but but it's it's okay, Sarah got or segregated
- 45:06Speaker 1: night you either did this? What hull you did it
- 45:09Speaker 1: without hub? I don't know, Sarah Grant are segregated? Okay,
- 45:17Speaker 1: Sarah Gant, Okay, Sarah Grant mother. I don't know why
- 45:20Speaker 1: they made don't we're so close together that I wouldn't they?
- 45:25Speaker 1: Who let me ask you something? Who is over words?
- 45:30Speaker 1: And where here's we never were here about them? But
- 45:32Speaker 1: we never see welt? Where is welt? Why is a
- 45:36Speaker 1: stupid step? Well? Its weftstu? Bye, Sarah Grant mother? Here
- 45:45Speaker 1: we go come. Okay, huh yeah, Roger, can I see
- 45:51Speaker 1: to Roger? Hey this Calvin Man? How you doing? I
- 45:55Speaker 1: go to the same church y'all go too, Okay. I
- 45:58Speaker 1: got your number from one of the guys at the church. Man.
- 46:00Speaker 1: They told me that if I wanted to talk to y'all,
- 46:02Speaker 1: I could reach out to you or whatever. How you
- 46:04Speaker 1: doing today? I'm good, man, I'm good. I can help
- 46:06Speaker 1: your your wife, man, does she I'm not trying to
- 46:08Speaker 1: be disrespectful anything, but she seems to be real fit?
- 46:11Speaker 1: Does she? Does she work out all the time? Yeah?
- 46:13Speaker 1: She go to January once in a while. Bro? Yeah?
- 46:15Speaker 1: Who who is this? Bro? Like I said, I name
- 46:17Speaker 1: Calvin Man. We go to the same church. Listen, me
- 46:20Speaker 1: and my wife been trying for a long time. Many
- 46:23Speaker 1: actually have some kids. And to be honest with you,
- 46:27Speaker 1: Roger Man, it just ain't happening. Dog. I mean we've
- 46:29Speaker 1: been trying and trying. But what I'm trying to do
- 46:33Speaker 1: now just find another type of way to make this happen. Now.
- 46:37Speaker 1: You say your wife is in good condition, right, my
- 46:40Speaker 1: wife kid isn't good condition. Brother. What does she got
- 46:43Speaker 1: to do with you and your wife trying to have
- 46:44Speaker 1: a baby? She You know, y'all already got kids, don't you.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Y'all got like from what the brothers the church told me,
- 46:51Speaker 1: y'all got three kids right there? We got three. I
- 46:52Speaker 1: got two boys in the girl. Okay, here's what I'm
- 46:56Speaker 1: trying to do, man, I was hoping that I could
- 46:59Speaker 1: find somebody, a female that would be a good seagant
- 47:04Speaker 1: mother or what you know. What I'm saying is like
- 47:08Speaker 1: because my wife, I mean, you know, we want to
- 47:10Speaker 1: have kids, man, we want to have hold on, brother,
- 47:13Speaker 1: you just said you you're looking for a seragant mother.
- 47:16Speaker 1: And the brother the church told you to call me. Well, no, no, no,
- 47:19Speaker 1: anybody tell me to actually call you. I asked them
- 47:22Speaker 1: about you and your wife. You know, I asked them
- 47:25Speaker 1: for your phone number so I can actually call you myself. Man,
- 47:28Speaker 1: wait a minute, So you've been you've been I and
- 47:30Speaker 1: my wife? No? No, no, no, no, no, I ain't been.
- 47:34Speaker 1: So you're looking at it wrong. Listen. What I was
- 47:36Speaker 1: saying is that your wife just seems like a healthy,
- 47:39Speaker 1: healthy person. I want to be able to have a
- 47:41Speaker 1: healthy child. Man, I really do, man, that me and
- 47:44Speaker 1: my wife. We listen, you called me about my wife
- 47:49Speaker 1: and you want her to be a Seragant mother for
- 47:51Speaker 1: your wife. I don't even while me on the phone. Brother,
- 47:53Speaker 1: here's the real deal, man, me and my wife we
- 47:56Speaker 1: can't have kids. We tried and tried and tried, and
- 48:00Speaker 1: you know, biologically, we've just been going through it and
- 48:03Speaker 1: going through it man. And I was just you know,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I've seen your wife. She healthy. I see y'all at
- 48:08Speaker 1: church all the time. And I was just like, reach
- 48:11Speaker 1: it out, man, maybe somebody wouldn't mind being the Saragan
- 48:15Speaker 1: mother for for me and my wife so we can
- 48:18Speaker 1: have a child. I'll figured Sarragan mother, I mean, dog,
- 48:24Speaker 1: hold on the brother, you calling me to see if
- 48:27Speaker 1: my wife can be a Saragon mother see your child?
- 48:30Speaker 1: And I know it's crazy. It's crazy, and and I

- 48:57Speaker 1: of them. People can gonna find your baby. You're gonna
- 48:59Speaker 1: call me and my wife. It's twenty thousand members in
- 49:02Speaker 1: this church. You know how stupid you say? Brother? No brother, brother,
- 49:06Speaker 1: a man, listen, man, I'm not trying to come across
- 49:09Speaker 1: like that. Man, how are you trying to come across

- 49:19Speaker 1: seen your your wife, and we thought she'd be a
- 49:22Speaker 1: great Sarah good mother. And I know it sounds crazy
- 49:24Speaker 1: for me to pick you out of all the people
- 49:26Speaker 1: that go to the church. I understand that, man, I do.
- 49:29Speaker 1: But listen, we would love for your wife to be
- 49:31Speaker 1: the seagant mother. And we're willing to pay for this. Man,
- 49:36Speaker 1: But listen to them if you don't mind. We don't
- 49:39Speaker 1: want to do this with no test tubes and all
- 49:42Speaker 1: that way. They mixed my seed with her with with
- 49:45Speaker 1: with her egg. We want to do this naturally. War war,

- 52:58Speaker 1: with doing it. But this right here, that's right here. Yeah,

- 54:00Speaker 1: let's get it. Buckle up, hold on tight. We got
- 54:03Speaker 1: it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry Letter, subject
- 54:06Speaker 1: my first major dating mistake with brothers, dear uncle Steve
- 54:10Speaker 1: and Aunt Shirley. I am a young female that graduated
- 54:13Speaker 1: from high school two years ago. Yeah, and I am
- 54:18Speaker 1: in a sticky situation. You see, after graduation, I met
- 54:21Speaker 1: a guy on an online app and we texted back
- 54:25Speaker 1: and forth and decided to spend some time together. We
- 54:28Speaker 1: ended up going on dates and messing around a lot.
- 54:31Speaker 1: He is a really great person, but he was not
- 54:34Speaker 1: the one for me, so we ended our fling. We
- 54:37Speaker 1: stayed in touch for a while through text messages, but
- 54:40Speaker 1: that was about it. Last November, I met a new
- 54:43Speaker 1: guy and he and I are in a committed relationship,
- 54:47Speaker 1: so things were great until we went to a New
- 54:49Speaker 1: Year's Eve party and the guy from my past was
- 54:52Speaker 1: at the party. As if it were not awkward enough
- 54:55Speaker 1: seeing him, I found out that this guy and my
- 54:58Speaker 1: boyfriend are brothers. We allowed my boyfriend to introduce us,
- 55:03Speaker 1: and neither one of us gave away our big secret.
- 55:06Speaker 1: I may be overthinking this, but I do not want
- 55:09Speaker 1: this guy to drive a wedge in my relationship by
- 55:12Speaker 1: telling his brother about all of the wild stuff we
- 55:15Speaker 1: used to do. It's been very awkward whenever all three
- 55:18Speaker 1: of us are around each other. I think I should
- 55:20Speaker 1: come clean and mentioned to my new guy that I
- 55:23Speaker 1: used to mess with his brother. Do you think that
- 55:25Speaker 1: he knows already and likes me so much that he's
- 55:28Speaker 1: not saying anything. I don't want my past to ruin
- 55:31Speaker 1: our future. I really value your advice, so please help me. Well,
- 55:36Speaker 1: so far he hasn't told his brother, right, So what
- 55:39Speaker 1: makes you think he's gonna tell him at all? I mean,
- 55:42Speaker 1: I do think you're overthinking this a bit. If you're
- 55:44Speaker 1: truly in a committed relationship, like you say, it might
- 55:48Speaker 1: not matter to him. He hasn't mentioned it to you.
- 55:51Speaker 1: You haven't said that in the letter that he's mentioned
- 55:53Speaker 1: it at all. So I think you're a young lady.
- 55:56Speaker 1: I think you need to know and you'll learn in
- 55:58Speaker 1: life that stuff is going to happen. Steph happens in
- 56:01Speaker 1: life that you have absolutely no control over. And I
- 56:04Speaker 1: think that's just what happened here. You met his brother first.
- 56:08Speaker 1: You guys were both very young. You've matured now, you've
- 56:11Speaker 1: moved on as people do. You said in your letter
- 56:14Speaker 1: he was not the one for you, so you guys
- 56:16Speaker 1: ended it so to you. I just say, stop feeling guilty,
- 56:20Speaker 1: Stop feeling some kind of way when you're with your
- 56:22Speaker 1: new man. All of that. I mean, life goes on.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Let this go live your life. Stop worrying about the past.
- 56:28Speaker 1: If it comes up, you can say that was a
- 56:30Speaker 1: long time ago. It's over. You know it's just over.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Sorry I didn't say anything, but it's over. It didn't
- 56:37Speaker 1: mean anything to me. We're together now, Steve, Well that
- 56:44Speaker 1: came from your aunt Shirley. Yes, that's real, nice, hopeful,
- 56:49Speaker 1: optimistic response. Lets you feel better about yourself and all
- 56:54Speaker 1: that now. Because you are a young female, I want
- 56:56Speaker 1: to try to do the same thing for you, but
- 56:59Speaker 1: you enough stick situation. This guy that you ended up
- 57:02Speaker 1: going on the date messing around with a lot, really
- 57:06Speaker 1: great person, but he was not the one for me,
- 57:08Speaker 1: so we ended it. But you stayed in touch for
- 57:10Speaker 1: a while through text message. Well we all know what
- 57:13Speaker 1: was on new text message, what they was doing. You
- 57:17Speaker 1: know they were sexty, they were on show mission maber
- 57:21Speaker 1: that time you and all that time. Last November, I
- 57:26Speaker 1: met a new guy. He and I ain't a committed relationships.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Things great to the New Year's Eve party. The guy
- 57:33Speaker 1: from your past at the party. Awkward enough you find
- 57:37Speaker 1: out this guy and your boyfriend our brothers. We allowed
- 57:41Speaker 1: my boyfriend to introduce us, and neither one of us
- 57:44Speaker 1: gave away our big secret. I'll be overthinking. I might
- 57:47Speaker 1: be overthinking this, but I do not want this guy
- 57:50Speaker 1: to drive awadge in my relationship by telling his brother, well,
- 57:55Speaker 1: now let me tell you something. The first brother that
- 57:58Speaker 1: you slept with, he ain't doing nothing wrong. You said
- 58:00Speaker 1: it was. He was this great guy. He just wasn't
- 58:03Speaker 1: the one for you, so you ended your fleeing. Now,
- 58:05Speaker 1: you don't want this guy to drive away in my
- 58:08Speaker 1: relationship by telling his brother about and hit a crazy
- 58:11Speaker 1: part about all the wild stuff we used to do.
- 58:16Speaker 1: See that asked where we how wild was it? Exactly
- 58:21Speaker 1: what was you doing? It's been awkward whenever three of
- 58:24Speaker 1: us around each other. I think I should come clean
- 58:27Speaker 1: and mentioned to my new guy that I used to
- 58:29Speaker 1: mess with his brother. Do you think that he knows
- 58:33Speaker 1: already and likes me so much that he's not saying anything?
- 58:37Speaker 1: You can take that out your mind. That ain't how
- 58:39Speaker 1: men work. Do you think he knows already and likes
- 58:45Speaker 1: me so much that he not saying anything? What? Hey
- 58:51Speaker 1: don't know? Your boyfriend don't know nothing about this. I
- 58:57Speaker 1: don't want my pass ruin my future. I really value advice,
- 59:00Speaker 1: so please help me. Here's two things you got going
- 59:03Speaker 1: for you. Number One, your boyfriend's brother may not want
- 59:07Speaker 1: to hurt his brother by saying something. If he thinks
- 59:12Speaker 1: his brother's happy, so maybe he won't say nothing. On
- 59:16Speaker 1: the other hand, he may not want to hurt his
- 59:19Speaker 1: brother by not telling him, because if it come out,
- 59:22Speaker 1: he's gonna be looking up beside his brother's head. The
- 59:25Speaker 1: best thing for you to do is shut your damn mouth. Now,
- 59:32Speaker 1: this is taking a page from the men's playbook. Why
- 59:35Speaker 1: would you bring up an issue that ain't an issue?
- 59:39Speaker 1: Why would you tell the truth when saying nothing at
- 59:43Speaker 1: all sounds much better. I'm gonna repeat that. Why would
- 59:48Speaker 1: you tell the truth when saying nothing at all sounds
- 59:54Speaker 1: so much better? Shut your damn don't say nothing. Hear
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: your boyfriend act like you ain't never seen that other day,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: And then if it come out, just say I didn't
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: know until I saw him at the New Year's Eve
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: party and I was too embarrassed. I felt horrible. That's
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: all you can do. And then throw yourself at the
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: mercy of the court. When we come back, Jay and
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: I will do reenact me. All right. We'll have part
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: two suns and Jay's gonna step in as well when
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: we come back at twenty three after the hour. Right
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to all right, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letters subject my first major dating mistake with brothers.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: This girl met a guy online, dated him, had an affair.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: It was pretty hot, did a lot of while stuff.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Found out they wasn't for each other. They broke up.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: They stayed in til they text each other for a
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: little while. She meets another great guy. Everything going fine.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: They go to the New Year's Eve party and the
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: guy she used to date was there. Come to find out,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: the two dudes is brothers. Now she messed up her
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Boyfrid introduced him as his new woman and his brother.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: They both kept their secret a secret. They didn't say
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: nothing to each other. Maybe the brother don't want to
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: hurt his brother and ain't gonna ever hurt him by
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: telling him. Maybe it could be y'all secret, but we
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: don't know. Then again, he may have to tell his brother,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: because man, I can't let you go on not knowing this,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: because if it ever come out, I can't let you
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: know that I knew this. Your only play that I
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: think is if it comes out. I didn't know y'all
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: his brothers until I met y'all at New Year's Eve,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: and I was humiliated and batrassed I didn't know what
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: to do, and I've been shaking in my boots until
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: this came to life because I didn't want to lose you.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: You're the best thing ever happened to me. He gonna
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: leave you, but that you want to Try to say
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: that though, Try to get that in and cry while
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you see. But his asses go. If his brother tell him,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: it's gonna be messed up. Man. So here we are
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: at this moment. I am gonna play the boyfriend who's
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: having some suspicions because y'all act a little strange around
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: each other. Jay is gonna be the girl trying at
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: all costs to keep me off this subject. No problem, Hey, baby,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: can't talk to you about something yet about you know,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: every time I see you and my brother around each other, y'all,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: y'all that kind of strange. What strange strange? You know,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: y'all y'all seeing like you know, y'all, y'all don't really
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: be friendly with each other, you know, be kind of distance. Brother,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: know your brother cool with me? I like your brother.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Ain't know you had a brother, y'all know, y'all know
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: you don't know I had one boy. I introduce you
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: at the New Year's Eve party, and I remember back
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: looking at the party, seemed like y'all was just sort
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: of like, so you look, you look real sick. No,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: not at all. Wasn't shot. No, not me, No, yeah no, baby,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: I'm taking that well baby, because you threw up. Oh well,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I was just look sick. You know, I had the
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: bean dip. It was just like setting on my stomach,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: but ginger on top of that. And I can't take
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: being different. Baby. You didn't need that. You didn't. You
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: didn't need that to ask first, got to introduce you
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to my brother. As soon as you looked at him,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you started trying to hold it in and threw up
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: and you threw that was that beanp The bean dip
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: had been one no being dip baby, because they didn't
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: bring the bean dip out right there. You ain't got
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: the yeah your brother up the hold on, hold on,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Have you ever met
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: my brother before? I ain't ever seen your brother? Hi, baby, brother, baby,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you're in a whole another octave right now? What's that
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: what you're crying for? I just asked you have you
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: met my brother before? I'm saying I got to tell
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you ain't your brother, and you know I gotta upset stomping,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: keep asking me? So you keep talking about this episode something,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this being deal. Damn it's September. Now what did you
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: keep talking about this? Bean? Dip you head? Not for what?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: You crying phone? Just answer the question. Have you ever
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: met my brother before? Baby just came, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby,

- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Let's get crackhead. Let's talk about Real housewives or Potomac
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: and then we're gonna talk about love and marriage hunts
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: me okay, wait wait wait my Potomac. No, I don't
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: really know. Geographically, I don't know, but so I'm in
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I'm in DC shooting ready to love the next season.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Right there you go. So's it Potomac Hill? Is that?
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Where is that? Where it is? Yes? DC? Is it
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: by my apartment? I don't know where the Potoma where
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: is it? I don't know if the Potomac River is
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: by your apartment. I don't know. I just ask it.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: What I look outside, I don't really see no water.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: So I mean, where is the one? You gotta look
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: for it. You gotta look for a crazy man. Let's go, Robin.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: And she has been I don't know, she's been kind
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: of depressed on the show. She's been sleeping in late
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: and her fiance, who is her ex husband the father
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: of her children, they are getting remarried. One he is,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: you know, he's encouraging Robin. Come on, you gotta do better.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: You gotta get up. You gotta take care of the kids.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: And she said, you to the pandemic, homeschooling, the routine, cooking, cleaning.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: She's been kind of depressing, sleeping in late. So a
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: man is telling her, come on, mama, I need you.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: You gotta do a little bit better. So we'll see
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: what's happening with Robin. I'm sure a lot of women
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: can relate to what Robin was going through. It was tough.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: It was tough. So she just laying around and how
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: you're laying around, ain't doing fan around. Yeah, but it's
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I think it's a mental thing. You know, we've been
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: talking about mental health and self care and all that,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: so I think it's a lot of that that's going
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: on with Robin. I mean, she's cooking anything, and she
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: cleaning up. When she lar she doing anything to help
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the household. She said, not seeing that for you. You
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: gotta you gotta be fair. Now, she she's she has
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: her issues and she's gonna talk about that. When a
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: man lay around and how he lays and he just
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: lays run out. Sorry, sorry, right trifling, So it's okay,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: house she ain't got it is, yes, it is? She
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: cooking or everybody all they just getting food delivering? How
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: they doing this? Chick fil A, A lot of Chick
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: fil A, A lot of chick But those things, those
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: are such the nicest people. Yes, yes, my pleasure, Chick
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: fil A. Let me move on real quick. Wendy, she
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: got her boobs and her booty done plastic surgery, so
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I said, okay, then Wendy giving it to the people
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: at the same time. Did she get it done at
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: the same time? I think she did. She kind of
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: played around when she revealed what she had done, and
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Robin was like, girl, you know you had your booty done.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: You do not have a button color. How much is
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: a booty though? What do a booty call? I don't know,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: because mine, I'm good, so I didn't have to look
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: that up. I didn't answer that. Already enough already, and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: you and Shirley, you and Serles straight, we're good, right good?
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: And Mississippi Monica straight now one of y'all top the top. Okay,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: let's move on, let's move on, let's move on, all right,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: So you know what, Wendy though she has issued with
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Miya the new cast made on the show. The new
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: cast member a Karen's friend. I don't know. She keeps
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: coming for her. She does not like her. Mia is beautiful.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: She says she's had a lot of placid surgery. She
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: is younger than her husband is about a thirty year difference.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: She's had everything done, including her private part area priastic surgery.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Mia has had all of that done. So we're like,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: all right there, girl, So we gotta see what's going
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: on with that. What's going on with Jazelle and Karen?
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: They absolutely hate each other. So we will be watching
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Potomac and Quile before we run out
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: of time. Nephew. The new season on the own Network
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: of Love and Marriage Huntsville. Martell and Melody, they are back.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Marceu and Titha, they are back. There's a new couple
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: on the show, Tiffany and her husband Lewis. So they
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: are teasing what's coming up. The season is back, but
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: you've got a chance to kick it with him this season.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Who I got reality update? I got all the tea baby,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: just getting this information from Carlo's reality update always coming
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: in hot. So we will be watching Love and Marriage
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Huntsville on the own network looking for the nephew. So
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour, make sure you come back.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: We'll talk about more trending topics and also follow me
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: at lips by Carlo. We'll be back at twenty. Actors,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: you're listening, so listen. You guys know the actors Ashton
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Kutcher and his wife Mila Coolness, Well, listen to this.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: They aren't big on bathing. Did you say no, Steve,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: you didn't know who they were, did you? I mean,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I know who he is. I don't know her. You
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: know when you see it, she's she's an actress, that's
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: his wife. So they just as well listen. You heard
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: about this right, Tommy. They were on a podcast and
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: they just got real about their beauty routines. And the
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: couple revealed that they only wash souls and holes every day,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: so yeah, they don't take baths that often. They only
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: watched souls and holes every day, and the same goals
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: for bathing their kids. They said that there's no point
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: in bathing the kids all the time unless you literally
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: see dirt on them, and that's what they said what
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: they did with their newborn. And when he was with
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: Demi Moore, he didn't do that. He took a whole baith.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: He was this behind Oh damn bail. Then he wasn't
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: having this. Yes, she wasn't having that. What is just
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: half ass half and you bathe and you're doing this?
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Don't make no sense? Are we getting pumped? Are we
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: getting pumped? No? No, this is everywhere. I saw the
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: story trending and I'm like, they only wash souls and holes.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: That's a little too much information the right, Steven feet right,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: so they're doing those holes, your holes, and then there's
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: of course there's that one, then there's that. Yeah, we
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: gotta go more of the Steve Harb. Yeah, you're listening
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: to show, all right, check this out, guys. Charles Berkeley
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: says the only people who don't have the COVID nineteen
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: vaccines are just well buttholes. But he said a hole,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: said Carl, he said a hole, Le said, people that
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: don't get the vaccines asshole. Thank you, thank you. That's
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: a little it was my honor. Well I check this out.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: While appearing on seeing CNBC, I should say, Charles Barkley
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: said I'm vaccinated, and everybody should be vaccinated period. The
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: only people who are not vaccinated are just a holes.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Sir Charles went on to say he personally thinks that
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: the sports leagues should force players to get vaccinated, and
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: he said, can you imagine if one of these guys
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: that are not vaccinated, if they were, you know, they
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: want these players or their kids, or their wives, or
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: their girlfriends or their parents get sick and die over
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: some unnecessary conspiracy bull blank. That's Sir Charles said, I
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: don't understand somebody else on the team, and you got
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: all these people around you, I don't understand them not
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: getting vaccinated. That makes no sense. You know, are you
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: playing day in and day out, you know that this
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: virus is deadly, and you don't want to You don't
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: want to protect yourself and everybody around you. That don't
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: make no sense to me. It not only don't make
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: no sense if you playing basketball on the team sport,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: it don't make no sense if you're part of a family.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Right to see, it's it's it's more non athletes than
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: it is athletes that's walking around not vaccinated. And I
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: started to on this show not to push the vaccination
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: because I was getting so many friends of mine gonna
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: hay Man, Steve, and ain't right for you to push
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: that you don't know what's in it, sending people off
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: to slaughter. Well, now that several very very close people
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: in my life have contracted COVID, and a very very
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: close person in my life it's in the hospital right
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: now suffering been in I SEU five days with COVID.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: They just moved him to a regular room. I was
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: able to talk to him. He said, Man, I wish
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: I got that vaccine. Wow. Now there's a report out.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Somebody told me as I haven't seen it, but somebody
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: said that most people who are in the hospital now
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: who have contracted COVID, who do not have the vaccine,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: every last one of them has said I wish I
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: had taken the vaccine now, because he once you get hospitalized,
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: those symptoms then got serious, very serious. It's a serious,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: deadly diseased. My in laws, who are in their eighties,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: got vaccinated. The nurse that goes to their house gave
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: them COVID. They didn't even have to go to the
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: hospital now pre existing condition, and the doctor clearly stated
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: if they had not got this vaccine two weeks ago
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: when we celebrated their sixtieth were in the anniversary, we
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: might not be happy. Coming up, it will be our
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: last break of the day and Steve Harvey will have
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: his closing remarks, and that's coming up at nine after
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening to, Okay, Steve closing remarks, the
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: last break of the day, you know, Man, I was
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: thinking about this, and I'd gotten into a conversation with
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: a few young people yesterday at work and we were
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: talking about becoming successful. And they asked me, They said,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: mister h what do you think is one of the
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: key components to being successful? And I wanted to try
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: to share with them in a different way than I
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: normally do, because you know, people think I'm repetitive, but
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: you the principles of a success are not going to change.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: You can find more clever ways to say it, but
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: they're the same principles. And I told them, I said,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: you gotta get good at suffering and then with what?
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: And I said, yeah, if you want to be successful,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: you're going to have to get really good it's suffering.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: They said, please explain that, because don't nobody want to suffer?
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I said, that's true. Nobody wants to suffer. But in
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: order to be successful, you got to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: And they were young, and they were just really honestly
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: asking me, but why are you saying that? I said,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: because everything you want in life, everything you consider success,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: it's on the other side of some discomfort. You've got
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: to break through the wall of discomfort in order to
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: get to whatever it is you want. I don't care
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: what it is. If you want to win the strong
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: man contest, you got to get uncomfortable. If you want
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: to win a gold medal in the Olympics, you got
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: to get uncomfortable. Boat. If you want a college degree,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: you're gonna have to get uncomfortable. You want to climb
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the corporate ladder, you gotta get uncomfortable. You want the
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: top position down at your job, you got to get uncomfortable.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: You want to make the track team, the basketball team,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: the baseball team, you gotta get uncomfortable. You want to
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: one day get the world record in the high jump,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you gotta get uncomfortable. You want to break you same
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: boats record, you gotta get uncomfortable. I don't care who
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: you are or what you do, but if you have
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: any aspiration of being successful, you gonna have to get uncomfortable.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: Because let me tell you something. If you stay in
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: your comfort zone, that's exactly where you will failed. Stay there,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Stay in your comfort zone, and watch what happened to
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you that you're gonna fail in that thing right there,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: because there is no success in comfort. Getting successful and
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: having something in life and wanting more in life is
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: so uncomfortable. That's why I told him early on, I said,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: you got to get good at suffering. So I'm gonna
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: tell you something about Steve Harvey. You can say whatever
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: you want to say about me, but I'm good at suffering.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: And you got to say, well, that's a stupid thing
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: to get good at. Okay, call it stupid if you
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: want to, But I got good at it. And what
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: makes me be able to sustain and fight through all
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the things that have happened to me because of God's
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: grace and his mercy and his strengthening me. But the
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: strength he gave me, he gave me an ability to suffer. Well, Oh,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: Steve harn know how to suffer. I have set within
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: this thing with nothing but me and God so many times,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: so many days, so many weeks, so many years. It
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: wasn't nobody but me and him. I've learned how to suffer.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: If you don't get into learning how to deal with
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: suffering and discomfort, you're not going to be successful. I'm
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: sorry to tell you that I wish there were another way.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: But everything that you want in life is on the
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: other side of some discomfortable, something discomforting. You got to
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: break through the wall of discomfort. You got to break
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: through the circle of convenience. You've got to break through
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: the moments of suffering to get to what you want
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: in life. You want to keep your relationship together, you
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: got to get in there and get uncomfortable. You got
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: to start talking about the things that y'all don't really
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: want to talk about. You got to open up the
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: can of worms that you wish would keep lead on it.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: That's if you want your relationship to last. Because I
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: don't care what relationship you're in, you're gonna hit the
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: point where you're gonna have to talk about some uncomfortable things.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: You want to save your money for a new house,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: you got to get uncomfortable. Why I got to get
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: uncomfortable save money for a new house because you can't
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: go spend like you want to. Now, you got to
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: put some money away. And if you want to put
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: some money ways me and you got have to cut
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: back on something that ain't comfortable, that's uncomfortable. And I'm
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: just talking to you about small things. Oh but don't
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: mess around and want nothing big in life. Don't sit
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: up here and decide you really want to be successful.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Let's say you consider success being a millionaire. Let's just
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: say that's not the definition of success. But let's just
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: say you want to be a millionaire. Can I tell
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you something. You got to get ready to suffer because
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: they're not printing that money out there and then mailing
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: it to people's houses. You got to go and do
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: some serious things to acquire a million dollars, and then
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you got to do some even more serious things to
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: hold onto it. And then you got to get even
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: more serious if you want to acquire some more. So y'all,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: here's what I'm telling you, and please don't take it
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: the wrong way. But if you have any aspirations or
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: becoming more than what you are right now, you got
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: to get out your comfort zone and you got to
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: get comfortable being uncomfortable flat period. That's all to it.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: And when you get uncomfortable, Before you get uncomfortable, you
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: need some God, don't wait till you're uncomfortable to call it.
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Start that relationship. Now those are my clothes and remarks.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: I hope it helps you. In the meantime. You got stick.
