- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdict with Center. Ted Cruz ben Ferguson
- 0:05Speaker 1: with you, Senator. Nice to be with you as always.
- 0:07Speaker 1: And there is new intel coming out that the Biden
- 0:10Speaker 1: administration may be welcoming a whole lot of refugees from
- 0:14Speaker 1: Gaza as part of their new plan.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly right. There's breaking news that the Biden
- 0:18Speaker 2: White House is considering allowing refugees to come from Gaza,
- 0:22Speaker 2: which would be an enormous national security thread. It makes
- 0:26Speaker 2: no sense at all. We're going to talk about that
- 0:28Speaker 2: and examine what they're talking about. We also now have
- 0:31Speaker 2: new data on the cities that the Biden administration is
- 0:35Speaker 2: flying illegal immigrants too all over the country. We've got
- 0:38Speaker 2: numbers and breakdown. We're going to get into that. And finally,
- 0:40Speaker 2: we're going to talk about a new bill that I've introduced.
- 0:42Speaker 2: It's a bipartisan bill designed to limit kids access to
- 0:46Speaker 2: social media, and in particular to stop young kids from
- 0:49Speaker 2: getting on social media and to protect kids from all
- 0:52Speaker 2: the negative influences that can be found on social media.
- 0:54Speaker 2: We're going to discuss that as well.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to talk to you real quick about
- 0:58Speaker 1: what's happening in is right now. In a way that
- 1:01Speaker 1: you can help and have a significant impact. It's been
- 1:05Speaker 1: over six months since that first brutal attack by Hamas
- 1:08Speaker 1: on our brothers and sisters in Israel, and since then
- 1:11Speaker 1: the attacks on Israel have actually increased, with Iran and
- 1:15Speaker 1: its proxies launching that massive attack of hundreds of drones
- 1:18Speaker 1: and missiles. That is where your help is needed. The
- 1:22Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is on the ground
- 1:25Speaker 1: now addressing all the urgent needs, and that's why I'm
- 1:29Speaker 1: partnering with IFCJ and I want you to join me
- 1:32Speaker 1: because your life saving donation can help provide security needs
- 1:37Speaker 1: like placing actual bomb shelters in communities in Israel that
- 1:42Speaker 1: need it the most. When the sirens go off, people
- 1:45Speaker 1: have fifteen seconds or less to give to safety. IFCJ
- 1:50Speaker 1: has helped renovate as well as install nearly three thousand
- 1:54Speaker 1: bomb shelters to date. As Israel enter people live with
- 1:58Speaker 1: the harsh reality of care every day. Your support will
- 2:01Speaker 1: help address emergency security needs such as food and utility
- 2:05Speaker 1: equipment for bomb shelters, flag jackets, and other essentials for
- 2:10Speaker 1: the people of Israel. So if you want to help,
- 2:12Speaker 1: this is a way to help, and we're asking listeners
- 2:15Speaker 1: to get fifty dollars or any amount to help provide
- 2:18Speaker 1: life saving aid. All you have to do is visit
- 2:21Speaker 1: support if CJ dot org. That's one word, support IFCJ
- 2:28Speaker 1: dot org, Support if CJ dot org center. Let's talk
- 2:34Speaker 1: about this plan. And I'm still trying to get my
- 2:37Speaker 1: head around what the play is here politically, except that
- 2:40Speaker 1: they're trying to signal to young people that are on
- 2:43Speaker 1: these college campuses, Hey, we're not in favor of Israel
- 2:47Speaker 1: by any means, stick with us. And then while all
- 2:50Speaker 1: that's going on, they signal that we're going to allow
- 2:52Speaker 1: a bunch of refugees to come to America.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Why.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Look, it is absolutely crazy. The White House has put
- 2:59Speaker 2: out a store. Here's the CBS headline, quote, white House
- 3:03Speaker 2: considers welcoming some Palestinians from war torn Gaza as refugees.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And what CBS reported is quote the Biden administration is
- 3:11Speaker 2: considering bringing certain Palestinians to the US's refugees, a move
- 3:15Speaker 2: that would offer a permanent safe haven to some of
- 3:17Speaker 2: those fleeing war torn Gaza, according to internal federal government
- 3:21Speaker 2: documents obtained by CBS News in recent weeks, the document
- 3:25Speaker 2: show senior US officials across several federal agencies have discussed
- 3:30Speaker 2: the practicality of different options to resettle Palestinians from Gaza
- 3:35Speaker 2: who have immediate family members who are American citizens or
- 3:38Speaker 2: permanent residents. One of those proposals involves using the decades
- 3:42Speaker 2: old United States Refugee Admissions program to welcome Palestinians with
- 3:48Speaker 2: US ties who have managed to escape Gaza and enter
- 3:51Speaker 2: neighboring Egypt. According to the interagency planning documents, top US
- 3:55Speaker 2: officials have also discussed getting additional Palestinians out of Gaza
- 3:59Speaker 2: and processing them as refugees if they have American relatives.
- 4:03Speaker 2: The document show the plan would require coordination with Egypt,
- 4:06Speaker 2: which is so far refused to welcome large numbers of
- 4:09Speaker 2: people from Gaza. So understand this, Egypt, which is a
- 4:16Speaker 2: direct neighbor of Gaza, is saying we don't want these
- 4:19Speaker 2: refugees here. And by the way, the reason the refugees
- 4:21Speaker 2: don't want the Egyptians don't want them there is they're
- 4:24Speaker 2: afraid of terrorism. They're afraid that there are too many
- 4:27Speaker 2: Hamas terrorists that are part of the so called refugees,
- 4:32Speaker 2: and they don't want them committing acts of terrorism and
- 4:35Speaker 2: violence in Egypt, and yet the Biden administration is saying, well, heck,
- 4:40Speaker 2: we'd love to have them here, like like this is
- 4:45Speaker 2: a level of insanity. In the wake of October seventh,
- 4:49Speaker 2: and the wake of this grotesque terror attack that murdered
- 4:53Speaker 2: twelve hundred Israelis, that murdered Americans, that raped women and
- 4:57Speaker 2: little girls, the reaction of the Biden w light house
- 5:00Speaker 2: is well, we need to welcome more of these folks
- 5:02Speaker 2: into America.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Yeah, And the timing of this is incredibly questionable. You
- 5:07Speaker 1: look at what the crackdowns that were finally seeing on
- 5:10Speaker 1: college campuses right now, Senator, we're saying hundreds that have
- 5:14Speaker 1: been arrested, for example Columbia, other universities where this is
- 5:18Speaker 1: happening as well, And the timing seems to be in
- 5:20Speaker 1: essence perfect, like, hey, we're still with you guys. I
- 5:24Speaker 1: know you guys are kind of getting rid of your
- 5:25Speaker 1: encampments and you're getting arrested, but just know we really
- 5:29Speaker 1: are on your side.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Well, it really is remarkable how terrified that the so
- 5:36Speaker 2: called mainstream Democrats are of ticking off the radical left
- 5:40Speaker 2: in their party. The Democrat Party has a problem right now.
- 5:44Speaker 2: It has a hard anti Semitism problem. There is literally
- 5:48Speaker 2: a pro Haamas wing of the Democrat Party. And we've
- 5:54Speaker 2: talked about this before. It's not just the squad, it's
- 5:57Speaker 2: not just the radicals. Joe is terrified of them. Chuck
- 6:02Speaker 2: Schumer is terrified of them. Nancy Pelosi is terrified of them.
- 6:06Speaker 2: And they are really they're really setting the agendas. Why
- 6:10Speaker 2: Joe Biden has so so carefully avoided speaking out with
- 6:16Speaker 2: any clarity on the topic because he wants he wants
- 6:20Speaker 2: the votes of the anti Israel, the anti Semitic protesters.
- 6:25Speaker 2: He's trying to to to get support from them, and
- 6:29Speaker 2: he and the other Democrats view that as a major
- 6:32Speaker 2: portion of today's Democrat Party.
- 6:34Speaker 1: What does the oversight look like and can they go
- 6:37Speaker 1: around Congress completely to allow refugees in from from guys
- 6:41Speaker 1: as specifically, how many could this be? How big could
- 6:45Speaker 1: this program get?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Well, we don't know the answers to that right now.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I will tell you in the Senate the chances of
- 6:52Speaker 2: their being meaningful oversight is is really quite low. The
- 6:58Speaker 2: The White House gave a statement to CBS on Tuesday
- 7:02Speaker 2: night that said the US has quote helped more than
- 7:06Speaker 2: eighteen hundred American citizens and their families leave Gaza, many
- 7:10Speaker 2: of whom have come to the United States at President
- 7:12Speaker 2: Biden's direction. We have also helped and will continue to
- 7:15Speaker 2: help some particularly vulnerable individuals, such as children with serious
- 7:19Speaker 2: health problems and children who are receiving treatment for cancer,
- 7:21Speaker 2: get out of harm's way and receive care at nearby
- 7:24Speaker 2: hospitals in the region. The statement went on to say
- 7:27Speaker 2: that the US quote categorically rejects any actions leading to
- 7:31Speaker 2: the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank,
- 7:34Speaker 2: or the redrawing of the borders of Gaza. The best
- 7:37Speaker 2: pass forward is to achieve a sustainable ceasefire through a
- 7:39Speaker 2: hostage deal that will stabilize the situation and pave the
- 7:43Speaker 2: way to a two state solution. So the White House, remember,
- 7:47Speaker 2: these are internal documents from the government where they're discussing plans. Hey,
- 7:52Speaker 2: how many refugees can we bring from Gaza to America?
- 7:56Speaker 2: And you've got US officials going back and forth on
- 7:58Speaker 2: different programs they can used to do that. It's not
- 8:02Speaker 2: clear who chose to leak those documents or what their
- 8:06Speaker 2: motivation was. The motivation could well be what you suggested
- 8:09Speaker 2: it could have been a political decision by the White
- 8:11Speaker 2: House to show some love to the pro Hamas wing
- 8:16Speaker 2: of the Democrat Party, and that may well have been
- 8:19Speaker 2: part of the motivation. But in terms of oversight, look,
- 8:23Speaker 2: the sad thing is in the Senate. As long as
- 8:25Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer is the majority leader, he has zero interest
- 8:29Speaker 2: on oversight on this question. The Democrats have zero interest
- 8:32Speaker 2: on oversight on this question. Remember, just a couple of
- 8:34Speaker 2: weeks ago, I forced a vote on the Senate floor
- 8:37Speaker 2: to block the Biden administration from giving additional billions of
- 8:43Speaker 2: dollars to Iran to the Ayahtola. And by the way,
- 8:46Speaker 2: Iran funds ninety percent of a MAAS. So it was
- 8:49Speaker 2: a very simple amendment, stop giving money that goes to
- 8:52Speaker 2: Hamas to kill Jews and to kill Americans. And every
- 8:58Speaker 2: single Democrat at but one voted no. That's where they
- 9:02Speaker 2: are so on bringing people from Gaza who could be terrorists,
- 9:06Speaker 2: who could endanger the safety of American citizens here. It
- 9:10Speaker 2: does not surprise me that's what this administration is talking
- 9:14Speaker 2: about doing, because it's clear that's where their sympathies and
- 9:18Speaker 2: their loyalties lie.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And the rhetoric's going to be exactly what you described, Senator.
- 9:22Speaker 1: They're going to say, look, there's a lot of people
- 9:24Speaker 1: that are innocent, you should be compassionate and loving, and
- 9:27Speaker 1: those that need, you know, for humanitarian reasons. But seventy
- 9:32Speaker 1: two percent of Palatinians believe quote that Hamasa's decision to
- 9:36Speaker 1: launch the October seventh attack was correct, which goes back
- 9:39Speaker 1: to what you were saying a moment ago about other
- 9:42Speaker 1: countries in the regions, saying we don't want these refugees
- 9:46Speaker 1: here because we're afraid about terrorism. Well, if seventy two
- 9:48Speaker 1: percent of Palatinans believe that Hamas's decision to launch the
- 9:51Speaker 1: attack was the right decision, then we have a real
- 9:54Speaker 1: concern about who may be coming into this country.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly right. And by the way, the polling
- 9:59Speaker 2: your sighting. That's the results of the latest polls by
- 10:03Speaker 2: the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, and it
- 10:07Speaker 2: was conducted in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip
- 10:09Speaker 2: between November twenty second and December second of two thousand
- 10:13Speaker 2: and three, and that period witnessed the October seventh launch.
- 10:18Speaker 2: So this was a little bit over a month after
- 10:21Speaker 2: October seventh, and I got to tell you those numbers
- 10:27Speaker 2: seventy two percent. The sample size of the poll was
- 10:29Speaker 2: twelve hundred and thirty one adults, of whom seven hundred
- 10:33Speaker 2: and fifty were interviewed face to face in the West
- 10:35Speaker 2: Bank and four hundred and eighty one in the Gaza
- 10:37Speaker 2: Strip in one hundred and twenty one randomly selected locations.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And so if you look at this, and we also
- 10:43Speaker 2: know in the Gaza Strip, residents were interviewed in twenty
- 10:47Speaker 2: four shelter locations, of which twenty belonged to UNRA, the
- 10:50Speaker 2: UN agency that Hamas terrorist worked for and for to
- 10:56Speaker 2: governmental institutions. A total of two hundred and fifty interviews
- 10:59Speaker 2: were covered in these shelters. Is another twenty one were
- 11:01Speaker 2: conducted in the homes of relatives and friends of displaced
- 11:03Speaker 2: people from the North and the numbers findings indicate that
- 11:09Speaker 2: a majority of respondents believe that Hamas's decision to carry
- 11:12Speaker 2: out the offensive is correct and believe that the attack
- 11:16Speaker 2: came in response to quote, settler attacks on the al
- 11:19Speaker 2: Asqua Mosque and West Bank residents and for the release
- 11:23Speaker 2: of Palestinian prisoners. Those numbers, and it goes on to
- 11:27Speaker 2: say the poll says it is worth noting that there
- 11:30Speaker 2: are significant differences between the attitudes of the residents of
- 11:33Speaker 2: the West Bank compared to the Gaza Strip in terms
- 11:35Speaker 2: of the correctness of Hamasa's decisions, as the attitude of
- 11:39Speaker 2: Gazans tend to show a greater degree of skepticism of
- 11:42Speaker 2: that decision. I'll tell you the videos I've watched of
- 11:45Speaker 2: October seventh, when Hamas terrorists are coming back to Gaza,
- 11:49Speaker 2: and they're coming back to Gaza and they're bringing Israeli hostages.
- 11:53Speaker 2: They're bringing women, they're bringing children that are beaten, that
- 11:56Speaker 2: are bleeding. Some of them have gunshot wounds, some of
- 11:58Speaker 2: them have have, you know, very very serious injuries. They're
- 12:02Speaker 2: dragging them out of the truck into the truck.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Uh.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Some of them have have injuries that are consistent with
- 12:09Speaker 2: with with violent forcible rape. They're they're bleeding, uh from
- 12:15Speaker 2: from their bleeding from where they would being the victims
- 12:20Speaker 2: of those kinds of attacks. And the reactions ben of
- 12:25Speaker 2: Palestinians and gaza Is. You see hundreds of them cheering
- 12:30Speaker 2: in celebration as they are watching these hostages dragged out
- 12:35Speaker 2: clearly suffering serious abuse. And and we're not talking just
- 12:39Speaker 2: the Hamas terrorists. We're talking just in the town square
- 12:42Speaker 2: when they come back that the reaction is cheering. Who
- 12:47Speaker 2: the hell in their right mind would say, you know,
- 12:50Speaker 2: what we really need is the people committing these atrocities,
- 12:53Speaker 2: the people cheering on these atrocities. We need them here
- 12:56Speaker 2: in America. That sounds like a great idea.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And then the other question I have for your final
- 13:02Speaker 1: question on this is we've seen this administration be incredibly
- 13:06Speaker 1: deceptive towards the American people, towards the taxpayers. We've seen
- 13:10Speaker 1: them fly flights at which we're going to talk about
- 13:12Speaker 1: in a minute, into random cities in America without giving
- 13:16Speaker 1: notice to those cities. I'm assuming if they want to
- 13:19Speaker 1: start importing people from Gaza, they would use the same
- 13:22Speaker 1: exact tactics as they've been using all over the country
- 13:24Speaker 1: in the middle of the night.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I think that is absolutely right. They would do it surreptitiously,
- 13:30Speaker 2: they would hide it. That's how they've handled this border invasion.
- 13:34Speaker 2: They lie about it. Alojandro Majorca still says our southern
- 13:37Speaker 2: border is secure. They're perfectly happy to lie about it.
- 13:40Speaker 2: And listen. From day one, the Biden administration has undermined
- 13:44Speaker 2: Israel and has sent money to people who hate us
- 13:48Speaker 2: and people who want to kill us. They've sent billions
- 13:50Speaker 2: of dollars to Iran, They've sent hundreds of millions of
- 13:53Speaker 2: dollars to Gaza that in turn has an almost almost
- 13:58Speaker 2: certainly flowed to Hamas. And they want to continue doing that.
- 14:02Speaker 2: That that is their commitment, and so I think I
- 14:06Speaker 2: think this threat is real. These people are zealous. These
- 14:09Speaker 2: are also people who look at the viciously anti Semitic
- 14:13Speaker 2: protests at Columbia and Yale and NYU and UCLA and say,
- 14:17Speaker 2: you know what, we're with those folks, and we need
- 14:20Speaker 2: more people like them.
- 14:22Speaker 3: And it's really.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I think this is really revealing a divide that is
- 14:29Speaker 2: frightening and scary, and it's not a divide that normal
- 14:34Speaker 2: people in their normal lives encounter. It is the radicals
- 14:37Speaker 2: who are more and more taking over the Democrat Party.
- 14:41Speaker 2: And Ben I want to dig a little bit more
- 14:43Speaker 2: into these poll results because they're deeply concerning. So the
- 14:46Speaker 2: results of the poll, as you noted's seventy two percent
- 14:49Speaker 2: of the public believe that Hamas's decisions to decision to
- 14:52Speaker 2: launch the October seventh attack was correct. A majority fifty
- 14:56Speaker 2: three percent believe that Israel's war objective is to destroy
- 15:00Speaker 2: the Gaza Strip and to kill or expel its residents,
- 15:03Speaker 2: and forty two percent believe it is to take revenge
- 15:05Speaker 2: on Hamas and the resistance and to destroy them. A
- 15:09Speaker 2: majority believes Israel will fail to achieve these goals. Eighty
- 15:13Speaker 2: five percent have not seen any videos showing atrocities committed
- 15:17Speaker 2: by Hamas against Israeli citizens. On October seventh and over,
- 15:22Speaker 2: only seven percent say Hamas committed atrocities against Israeli civilians.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Let me repeat that, because that is horrifying. They did
- 15:31Speaker 2: a poll of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in the
- 15:35Speaker 2: West Bank and only seven percent will admit that Hamas
- 15:40Speaker 2: committed atrocities against Israeli civilians. So they're truthers who are
- 15:45Speaker 2: denying October seventh even happen. Seventy percent seven zero percent
- 15:51Speaker 2: of West Bankers and half of Gazans expect Hamas to
- 15:55Speaker 2: emerge victorious. That is deeply frightening. And the Biden administration
- 16:03Speaker 2: is talking about wanting to bring to America a group
- 16:07Speaker 2: of people of whom ninety three percent of them deny
- 16:12Speaker 2: that Hamas committed atrocities against civilians, which is indisputable. They
- 16:16Speaker 2: filmed it and put out the videos. They're very proud
- 16:19Speaker 2: of it, and yet that this population is so radicalized
- 16:24Speaker 2: that they don't believe it's true.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah, great point there. I want to talk to you
- 16:28Speaker 1: real quick about your morning routine. If you are like me,
- 16:31Speaker 1: you start your morning off with coffee. The question is
- 16:34Speaker 1: how good is your coffee and is your coffee woke.
- 16:37Speaker 1: There's a lot of woke coffee companies out there, and
- 16:40Speaker 1: if you're like me, I say no more wokeness.
- 16:42Speaker 3: I'm done with it.

- 16:45Speaker 1: values and fight against me. Well, Blackout Coffee is the

- 17:17Speaker 1: the true American values that we all love and hold dear.

- 18:14Speaker 1: That's Blackoutcoffee dot com slash verdict. Senator, I want to
- 18:18Speaker 1: pivot to something we just mentioned a moment ago, and
- 18:21Speaker 1: that was, there's real consensus and the polling data that
- 18:25Speaker 1: Biden's border policy and specifically when it comes to safety
- 18:29Speaker 1: and national security issues, is disastrous. But we're learning now
- 18:34Speaker 1: more about internal Department of Homeland Security data revealing the
- 18:38Speaker 1: forty five plus US cities that hundreds of thousands of
- 18:44Speaker 1: migrants have flown into via the Biden administration's per mass
- 18:49Speaker 1: parole program that they refused to disclose the public where
- 18:53Speaker 1: all of these illegal immigrants are being dropped off, and
- 18:57Speaker 1: you apparently have no right to know who they are
- 18:59Speaker 1: or even where they're coming from.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Well, that's exactly right, Ben, and we did a pod
- 19:04Speaker 2: on this topic when when the story first broke about
- 19:06Speaker 2: the Biden administration's program that wasn't just dealing with illegal
- 19:10Speaker 2: immigrants who crossed the border and stream across our southern border,
- 19:14Speaker 2: but actually was arranging flights to come in for illegal
- 19:17Speaker 2: immigrants to come into cities all across the country. And
- 19:20Speaker 2: at the time, the Biden administration's position was, we're not
- 19:23Speaker 2: going to tell you where they're coming. We can't tell
- 19:25Speaker 2: you because it's a national security risk, and so they
- 19:28Speaker 2: refused to tell us. Well, we now have data from
- 19:32Speaker 2: DHS that that covers an eight month period, so it
- 19:35Speaker 2: is from January through August of twenty twenty three, and
- 19:39Speaker 2: there are about two hundred thousand illegal immigrants who flew
- 19:42Speaker 2: into the US using the program. And we have the breakdown.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Let me give you the top fifteen cities and how
- 19:49Speaker 2: many came. The number one city the Biden administration flew
- 19:51Speaker 2: people illegal immigrants into was Miami, Florida ninety one, eight
- 19:56Speaker 2: hundred and twenty one. The number two city, Fort Lawerdale, Florida,
- 20:01Speaker 2: sixty thousand, four hundred and sixty one. The number three city,
- 20:06Speaker 2: New York City fourteen thousand, eight hundred and twenty seven.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Number four You're in my hometown Houston, Texas seven thousand,
- 20:13Speaker 2: nine hundred and twenty three. Number five Orlando, Florida six
- 20:17Speaker 2: thousand and forty three, Number six Los Angeles, California three thousand,
- 20:21Speaker 2: two hundred and seventy one. Number seven Tampa, Florida three thousand,
- 20:25Speaker 2: two hundred and thirty seven. Number eight Dallas, Texas two thousand,
- 20:28Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty six. Number nine San Francisco, California
- 20:32Speaker 2: two thousand and fifty two, Number ten Atlanta, Georgia one thousand,
- 20:36Speaker 2: seven hundred ninety six, Number eleven, Newark, New Jersey, one thousand,
- 20:40Speaker 2: four hundred ninety eight, Number twelve, Washington, d C. One thousand,
- 20:44Speaker 2: four hundred and seventy two, Number thirteen, Chicago, Illinois, four
- 20:48Speaker 2: hundred and ninety seven, Number fourteen, Las Vegas, Nevada, four
- 20:52Speaker 2: hundred eighty three, and number fifteen. Rounding out the top
- 20:54Speaker 2: fifteen Austin, Texas with one hundred and seventy one. And
- 21:00Speaker 2: so those are now what's striking. They're sending the vast
- 21:04Speaker 2: majority of the illegal immigrants in this program to Florida
- 21:06Speaker 2: and Texas. Florida is getting hammered. Just Miami and Fort
- 21:10Speaker 2: Lauderdale have over one hundred and fifty thousand that are
- 21:14Speaker 2: going there. And actually blue cities and blue states get
- 21:17Speaker 2: relatively few, so they're really hammering Florida and Texas. That's
- 21:24Speaker 2: one obvious conclusion of this. A second conclusion, Look, the
- 21:31Speaker 2: White House is trying to spend well, no, no, these
- 21:33Speaker 2: are not illegal immigrants because we're letting them in using
- 21:36Speaker 2: legal authorities. Well, I can tell you that that in litigation.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Here's what DHS wrote in response to a subpoena quote.
- 21:45Speaker 2: DHS said all individuals paroled into the United States are
- 21:49Speaker 2: by definition inadmissible, including those paroled under the CHNV processes,
- 21:54Speaker 2: which is what this program is. And to give you
- 21:59Speaker 2: a sense of the numbers on this program, CBP says
- 22:05Speaker 2: at least four hundred and four thousand illegal immigrants have
- 22:08Speaker 2: flown to the US using this program, and the breakdown
- 22:11Speaker 2: we know of one hundred and fifty four thousand Haitians,
- 22:15Speaker 2: ninety five thousand Venezuelans, eighty four thousand Cubans, and sixty
- 22:21Speaker 2: nine thousand Nicaraguans.
- 22:24Speaker 1: This is again the reason why they were trying to
- 22:27Speaker 1: hide this. It's also the reason why they have not
- 22:30Speaker 1: been informing state we're talking about governors or local municipalities
- 22:35Speaker 1: of who they're bringing in, because they knew there would
- 22:38Speaker 1: probably be a lot of people that would say, no,
- 22:40Speaker 1: we don't want to deal with this, No, please don't
- 22:42Speaker 1: drop them off here.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Well, that's right, and it's interesting also, So the number
- 22:47Speaker 2: three city was New York City, and then the number
- 22:49Speaker 2: again was fourteen, eight hundred and twenty seven, so it
- 22:52Speaker 2: was a lot less than went to Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
- 22:54Speaker 2: What's interesting, though, is is we know that the mayor
- 22:58Speaker 2: of New York, a liberal Democrat who has declared at
- 23:00Speaker 2: a crisis, said it's an emergency, said illegal immigration is
- 23:03Speaker 2: destroying New York City. He has blamed what he called
- 23:08Speaker 2: that madman from Texas, and as we've talked about, I'm
- 23:14Speaker 2: actually disappointed that he's talking about Greg Abbott, not me.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I wonder what I have to do to qualify for
- 23:20Speaker 2: that insult from the mayor of New York City. But
- 23:23Speaker 2: Texas has sent to New York City roughly ten thousand
- 23:26Speaker 2: illegal immigrants. So if he's blaming that mad man, well,
- 23:31Speaker 2: Joe Biden has sent fourteen, eight hundred and twenty seven
- 23:34Speaker 2: and that's just using this one program that doesn't measure
- 23:37Speaker 2: the other thousands that Biden has sent that crossed the
- 23:40Speaker 2: border illegally on the southern border, and that Biden put
- 23:42Speaker 2: on a bus or a plane. But yet the Democrat
- 23:45Speaker 2: mayor of New York can't actually blame the person responsible,
- 23:48Speaker 2: which is Biden and for that matter, Chuck Schumer and
- 23:50Speaker 2: every other Democrat in Congress.
- 23:52Speaker 3: Will this change that moved the needle at all? Do
- 23:55Speaker 3: you think?
- 23:55Speaker 1: Because we know where may Adams has now been saying,
- 23:58Speaker 1: and we know about even in places like Colorado where
- 24:00Speaker 1: they're having to get rid of people in law enforcement
- 24:03Speaker 1: for goodness sakes, and letting people go in New York
- 24:06Speaker 1: to cover for the cost that it is to take
- 24:08Speaker 1: care of all of these illegal immigrants. At least seeing
- 24:12Speaker 1: the disclosures and the number of people involved, could this
- 24:16Speaker 1: move the needle a little bit?
- 24:18Speaker 2: Well, ask yourself this, how many of the home newspapers
- 24:22Speaker 2: where this data were reported actually covered it, How many
- 24:26Speaker 2: of them covered it on the front page, How many
- 24:27Speaker 2: of them had a headline. I feel confident that the
- 24:30Speaker 2: New York Times in New York City does not have
- 24:32Speaker 2: a headline Biden administration flew fourteen, eight hundred and twenty
- 24:36Speaker 2: seven illegal immigrants to New York City that I would
- 24:40Speaker 2: be surprised if you can read it anywhere in the
- 24:43Speaker 2: New York Times, and if you look at newspaper by newspaper.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I certainly haven't read it in the Chronicle and Houston,
- 24:49Speaker 2: Houston was number four. It may have been covered to
- 24:51Speaker 2: the Chronicle. I haven't searched it. But but you know,
- 24:54Speaker 2: the media doesn't want to cover these numbers. You know
- 24:57Speaker 2: that Democrats don't want to admit these numbers, and so
- 25:00Speaker 2: their plan is going to be the same as their
- 25:02Speaker 2: plan consistently has been, which is, ignore the crisis, pretend
- 25:05Speaker 2: it's not happened, count on the silence and complicity of
- 25:08Speaker 2: the media to cover this up. Because I got to say,
- 25:12Speaker 2: if you live in any of those fifteen cities, you
- 25:15Speaker 2: ought to be pissed off. And by the way, you know,
- 25:18Speaker 2: I gave the numbers of the biggest group that has
- 25:21Speaker 2: been flown in our Haitians, and it was at least
- 25:24Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty four thousand Haitians. We've talked about.
- 25:27Speaker 2: One of those Haitians was flown to Boston, Massachusetts, and
- 25:31Speaker 2: he was just recently arrested for raping a fifteen year
- 25:35Speaker 2: old girl who was severely mentally handicapped. And I got
- 25:39Speaker 2: to say, if you're the parents of that girl, and
- 25:42Speaker 2: the Biden administration literally flew the rapist from Haiti to
- 25:48Speaker 2: Boston and then released him where he attacked your daughter,
- 25:53Speaker 2: I can't imagine the frustration at the utter insanity of
- 25:58Speaker 2: that policy.
- 26:00Speaker 1: A couple of years ago, I hit forty, and my,
- 26:03Speaker 1: oh my, is after forty different than before forty. The
- 26:07Speaker 1: problem is men's testosterrum levels are off a cliff historically,
- 26:11Speaker 1: and in fact they're at an all time low. And
- 26:13Speaker 1: it isn't just that it's an all time low. It's
- 26:17Speaker 1: that many people are like, all right, I don't want
- 26:19Speaker 1: to give up having a blast by playing sports. I
- 26:22Speaker 1: don't want to feel tired and fatigued every day at

- 27:51Speaker 1: any subscription limited time offer. Finally, Senator, I want to
- 27:54Speaker 1: get into something else. It's a very important piece of
- 27:57Speaker 1: legislation that you're working on, and I have actually seen
- 28:01Speaker 1: a little bit of this be talked about on social
- 28:04Speaker 1: There are some people that don't actually think they understand
- 28:07Speaker 1: the intent of what we're trying to accomplish when it
- 28:10Speaker 1: comes to protecting kids on social media. So explain why
- 28:14Speaker 1: this legislation is something that parents really need to know about.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Well, this is legislation I introduced this week, and it's
- 28:21Speaker 2: bipartisan legislation. I teamed up with Brian Shotts, who's a
- 28:25Speaker 2: Democrat from Hawaii, and the bill is called the Kids
- 28:28Speaker 2: Off Social Media Act, and it does several things Number one,
- 28:32Speaker 2: it prohibits children under thirteen from accessing social media. So kids,
- 28:38Speaker 2: there's no reason for an eight or nine year old
- 28:40Speaker 2: to be on TikTok or to be on social media.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And there are a lot of harmful things, I'll tell you. Listen,
- 28:46Speaker 2: you and I are both parents, and any parent who
- 28:49Speaker 2: is dealing with I'm dealing with teenagers. Your kids are
- 28:51Speaker 2: not teenagers yet, but but if you blink, they will be.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Any parent dealing with teenagers or adolescents out to deal
- 29:00Speaker 2: with phones and social media is one of the greatest
- 29:03Speaker 2: challenges because phones are really a portal for kids to
- 29:07Speaker 2: access all sorts of harmful content. And so this bill
- 29:12Speaker 2: says if you're under thirteen, you can't be on social media.
- 29:15Speaker 2: And then it says for kids younger than seventeen, big
- 29:18Speaker 2: tech companies are prohibited from using algorithmic boosting to send
- 29:24Speaker 2: messages to them. So we know right now, there's been
- 29:26Speaker 2: a lot of testimony in the Senate that big tech
- 29:29Speaker 2: companies send messages to our kids, to our teenagers that
- 29:33Speaker 2: are really harmful. They send messages that undermine their body image,
- 29:37Speaker 2: they send messages that encourage self harm, they send messaging
- 29:41Speaker 2: that increases suicidal ideation, they send messaging that increases increases
- 29:48Speaker 2: their feelings of depression and anxiety. They send messages encouraging
- 29:53Speaker 2: dangerous behavior. They send messaging pushing radical beliefs, things like
- 29:57Speaker 2: Prohamas beliefs. And so this bill says as if you're
- 30:00Speaker 2: under seventeen, big tech cannot target using algorithm boosting to
- 30:07Speaker 2: send messages that are addicting and that are harmful. And
- 30:11Speaker 2: then the bill also includes a separate bill that I
- 30:14Speaker 2: had introduced previously, and I introduced it with John Fetterman.
- 30:17Speaker 2: It was also bipartisan, and my separate bill was called
- 30:21Speaker 2: the Eyes on the Board Bill, and the Eyes on
- 30:23Speaker 2: the Board Bill, which is now part of this bill,
- 30:27Speaker 2: says that any school that receives federal funds has to
- 30:32Speaker 2: block social media on campus. And the basic idea is,
- 30:35Speaker 2: while our kids are in school, they ought to be
- 30:37Speaker 2: listening to teacher, They ought to be doing school work.
- 30:39Speaker 2: They don't need to be posting on Instagram while they're
- 30:42Speaker 2: in school. For older kids, they can do that when
- 30:46Speaker 2: they get home, but at school they ought to be
- 30:47Speaker 2: focused on the school work.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah, they should be. And this is legislation that you
- 30:52Speaker 1: mention is bipartisan. Here what does it look like the
- 30:55Speaker 1: chances of this moving forward since it is a bipartisan
- 30:58Speaker 1: piece of legislation.
- 31:00Speaker 2: So I'm actually quite optimistic. We are likely to have
- 31:04Speaker 2: a markup in the Senate Commerce Committee next week. I'm
- 31:07Speaker 2: the ranking member, the senior Republican on the Commerce Committee,
- 31:10Speaker 2: and I think it is very likely to pass the
- 31:13Speaker 2: Commerce Committee with overwhelming bipartisan support. I think there's a
- 31:16Speaker 2: good chance it'll pass unanimously, and I think there is
- 31:20Speaker 2: a good prospect of this bill being passed into law.
- 31:23Speaker 2: There are two other bills called Coosa and Kappa, that
- 31:25Speaker 2: are both dealing with things like online predators targeting kids,
- 31:29Speaker 2: and I think there's a real possibility of all three
- 31:32Speaker 2: of these bills being put together and brought to the
- 31:35Speaker 2: Senate floor, and I'm hopeful we can pass all three
- 31:37Speaker 2: of them.
- 31:38Speaker 3: We'll keep you updated on it.
- 31:39Speaker 1: It's so important, especially preventing children under thirteen from having
- 31:43Speaker 1: access these social media sites and also, as you mentioned,
- 31:46Speaker 1: programming those algorithms for teens younger than seventeen.
- 31:50Speaker 3: This is really important.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Job well done, and we'll keep everybody updated on how
- 31:54Speaker 1: this looks moving forward.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Well, that's right, and you look, I'll say something also
- 31:59Speaker 2: as apparent. I mean, I mean, these are hard issues.
- 32:01Speaker 2: And one of the things I talk to a lot
- 32:03Speaker 2: of parents, I don't know a parent who disagrees on
- 32:05Speaker 2: this issue. And that's true, right or left, that's true
- 32:08Speaker 2: regardless of politics. We're all worried about our kids. I mean,
- 32:12Speaker 2: it's really it's hard to be a teenager right now.
- 32:14Speaker 2: The pressures on our kids. You and I didn't have
- 32:17Speaker 2: these kind of pressures when we were teenagers. It's really tough.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Is what is.
- 32:23Speaker 2: All of the influences that are pounding our kids. And
- 32:25Speaker 2: it's hard to be a parent right now. And one
- 32:27Speaker 2: of the challenges because some people say, well, parents ought
- 32:30Speaker 2: to just restrict this. Look, it is a hard dynamic
- 32:33Speaker 2: when your kid when every student in their class is
- 32:37Speaker 2: on the social media platform, when that's how the kids communicate,
- 32:41Speaker 2: when that's how they schedule playdates, when that's how they interact.
- 32:45Speaker 2: No parent wants to socially ostracize their kids. And so
- 32:49Speaker 2: a lot of parents will talk to each other and say,
- 32:52Speaker 2: I wish they were all off of it, but I'm
- 32:54Speaker 2: not willing to have my kid the only one that's
- 32:57Speaker 2: not able to interact with their peers and have a
- 32:59Speaker 2: social life, and that's one of the reasons why, you know,
- 33:01Speaker 2: it's interesting in the Senate the folks that are coming
- 33:04Speaker 2: together and supporting this bill. So myself and Brian Shots
- 33:08Speaker 2: and we've all also got Katie Britt. We're all about
- 33:11Speaker 2: the same age. We're all in our forties or fifties,
- 33:13Speaker 2: we all have kids the same age. I have to
- 33:15Speaker 2: say the senators that they're in their seventies or eighties,
- 33:18Speaker 2: they don't quite get this issue in the same way
- 33:21Speaker 2: that if you're a parent, you're dealing with it.
- 33:23Speaker 3: And so I'm.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Hopeful that that that we'll see some real bipartisan agreement
- 33:28Speaker 2: that we ought to enhance the tools parents have to
- 33:31Speaker 2: keep their kids safe.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Yeah, great point.
- 33:34Speaker 1: We're going to keep you updated on this legislation as
- 33:36Speaker 1: it moves forward.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Don't forget.
