- 1:31Speaker 3: I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn out.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Turn you probably got to turn mouth turn out the water,
- 1:47Speaker 4: the water upo me.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think that.
- 2:01Speaker 6: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are
- 2:05Speaker 6: listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now. One
- 2:08Speaker 6: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man got
- 2:12Speaker 6: a radio show because God is in a blessing business.
- 2:16Speaker 6: I just happen to be a recipient. I just happened
- 2:20Speaker 6: to got a couple of things right, and man, his
- 2:26Speaker 6: grace and mercy carries you the rest of the way.
- 2:29Speaker 6: All you got to do is get a couple of
- 2:32Speaker 6: things right, and then his grace and his mercy will
- 2:35Speaker 6: take over his favor, his love of you. It's already evident.
- 2:41Speaker 6: I mean, you know, because so many times we go
- 2:43Speaker 6: along without even acknowledging him or conferring with him in
- 2:47Speaker 6: our decisions. And we look up when we find ourselves
- 2:50Speaker 6: in a predicament and he always comes, comes to the rescue.
- 2:54Speaker 6: He always manages to show up. He's never too he's
- 3:00Speaker 6: never one minute too late. And so in light of
- 3:04Speaker 6: this today I wanted to talk to you about something.
- 3:10Speaker 6: It's another principle of success that I'd like to share
- 3:14Speaker 6: with everybody this morning. And once again, these are not
- 3:17Speaker 6: things that you don't know or you've never heard before.
- 3:21Speaker 6: These are just reminders along the way. And one of
- 3:25Speaker 6: the things you have to be conscious of is don't
- 3:28Speaker 6: be afraid to change. Don't be afraid to change because
- 3:33Speaker 6: change is coming anyway. See, I have a theory, don't
- 3:38Speaker 6: be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. You know,
- 3:42Speaker 6: everything changes, nothing remains the same nothing, and change is inevitable. Now,
- 3:49Speaker 6: you could participate in the change, or you can react
- 3:54Speaker 6: to the change. Are you following me. You can participate
- 3:59Speaker 6: in the change or you can react to the change.
- 4:05Speaker 6: But don't be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 6: what I mean by that is this, in participating in
- 4:13Speaker 6: the change or reacting in the change, there is a difference.
- 4:19Speaker 2: See, if you react.
- 4:20Speaker 6: To the change, that means the change has occurred and
- 4:24Speaker 6: now you have to make the necessary adjustments to the change. Example,
- 4:30Speaker 6: the boss walks in. You think your job is good.
- 4:33Speaker 6: The boss walks in and hands you a pink slip.
- 4:36Speaker 6: That right there, that's a change. Now you didn't participate
- 4:41Speaker 6: in this change because you didn't ask for the pink slip.
- 4:44Speaker 6: But now you've got to react to the pink slip.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Whenever you have to react to the change, it's an
- 4:51Speaker 6: adjustment period. It almost throws you off. So change is
- 4:58Speaker 6: going to come. It always does. You could participate or
- 5:04Speaker 6: you can react. Or let's say your boss comes in
- 5:10Speaker 6: and hans you the pink slip and you said, you
- 5:13Speaker 6: know what I've been preparing for this day.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Always knew nothing.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Last forever, I've been working on the sideline on the
- 5:23Speaker 6: business idea I had, and I had or I had
- 5:27Speaker 6: several other applications in around town. I was just holding
- 5:30Speaker 6: off to see what was going going. So when they
- 5:32Speaker 6: hand you the pink slip, the transition, the adjustment you
- 5:36Speaker 6: make is a lot more smoother transition because now you
- 5:39Speaker 6: just transition into your new business idea that you've been
- 5:43Speaker 6: working on. Are you transitioned into the apps you already
- 5:46Speaker 6: had in or the contacts you made the preparation for
- 5:50Speaker 6: when the day they come in hand you the pink slip. Well, Steve,
- 5:53Speaker 6: what did they surprise you with it? This is just
- 5:54Speaker 6: one example I'm giving you. So you know, let's let's
- 5:58Speaker 6: not nick pick the message. So what I'm saying to
- 6:02Speaker 6: everybody is, don't be afraid to change, because change is
- 6:06Speaker 6: coming anyway. So many people are stuck in a rut
- 6:11Speaker 6: because of our refusal to change. I was hell bent
- 6:17Speaker 6: on a certain thing going a certain way, and this
- 6:20Speaker 6: is how it was gonna go. Well, that that I
- 6:23Speaker 6: was thinking didn't really fit. Now in my own personal experience,
- 6:28Speaker 6: this may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 6:31Speaker 6: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 6:34Speaker 6: of was something I wanted when I line myself up
- 6:40Speaker 6: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 6:43Speaker 6: wanted from me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 6:48Speaker 6: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 6:52Speaker 6: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 6:55Speaker 6: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 6:58Speaker 6: When things were going wrong in relationships for me, what
- 7:04Speaker 6: I did was the biggest mistake I've ever made, was
- 7:08Speaker 6: I attempted to fix what was wrong in my relationship.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Outside of the relationship feel me. Okay, So I'm out
- 7:17Speaker 6: there working my groove like I want to. Well, now,
- 7:21Speaker 6: guess what. There's the cause and effect for all of
- 7:24Speaker 6: that too. Your house ain't gonna get better.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It can't. And then that lays room for some other things.
- 7:33Speaker 6: And so now when the change come, guess what I
- 7:37Speaker 6: got to react to it. Now, I gotta, I gotta,
- 7:40Speaker 6: I gotta have a reaction to it. Had I lined
- 7:43Speaker 6: myself up in the will of God, the transition may
- 7:48Speaker 6: have grown differently. It could have still ended the relationship.
- 7:53Speaker 6: But guess what, some of the pain I's in I
- 7:56Speaker 6: ain't had to go through. I bought a lot on myself.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Sometimes you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God
- 8:06Speaker 6: really wants you to do is pursue your gift. So
- 8:09Speaker 6: now you're pursuing your passion, right, you passion about golf.
- 8:13Speaker 6: You love golf so much. You just determined, But now
- 8:17Speaker 6: you're messed around. You ain't made it on the PGA
- 8:20Speaker 6: Tour yet, and you forty five, still talking about I'm
- 8:23Speaker 6: gonna play on the PGA Tour. Really, okay, maybe you
- 8:27Speaker 6: ain't as good as this you think, or maybe you're
- 8:28Speaker 6: not as gifted as you think. Maybe you're pursuing a passion. Sometimes, man,
- 8:33Speaker 6: we have to change and we have to ask God
- 8:37Speaker 6: what is his will? His will is much simpler. It's
- 8:41Speaker 6: a simpler rule. Not going to be easier, it's simpler.
- 8:45Speaker 6: See when I wake up. Now, it's simple for me
- 8:48Speaker 6: to wake up because I know that are few things
- 8:51Speaker 6: that I have to do. I have to click this
- 8:54Speaker 6: mic on. I have to be positive. I have to
- 8:57Speaker 6: be inspirational. I have to be a formative. I have
- 9:01Speaker 6: to be uplifting. Got it, That's what he wants. All
- 9:04Speaker 6: I got to do is sit down, close my eyes,
- 9:07Speaker 6: ask God to help me be who he want me
- 9:10Speaker 6: to be. And for the most part, he tell me
- 9:13Speaker 6: what to say. Now, guess what he's done though, to
- 9:17Speaker 6: create this in me. I went through enough things in
- 9:20Speaker 6: my life. I had enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes.
- 9:25Speaker 6: So now at my age, I can turn around and
- 9:28Speaker 6: tell somebody listening to me, Okay, this is what I did.
- 9:30Speaker 6: This is a mistake I made. Maybe you see yourself
- 9:32Speaker 6: in this story right here. Maybe you don't have to
- 9:34Speaker 6: go this way, or this is what I've learned about
- 9:36Speaker 6: becoming successful.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Here's a principle that I learned.
- 9:40Speaker 6: But then guess what, I had to be unsuccessful to
- 9:43Speaker 6: get it though, didn't I? So you can't have a
- 9:45Speaker 6: testimony without a test Change is coming. It's inevitable. You
- 9:49Speaker 6: can participate or you can react. I much prefer to
- 9:53Speaker 6: participate in the change.
- 9:55Speaker 2: All right, let's go.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 6: Ladies, gentlemen, everybody listening. I need your attention for this simple,
- 10:11Speaker 6: very simple, but factual announcement. Today is the day that
- 10:17Speaker 6: the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad
- 10:21Speaker 6: in it. It's a very simple scripture. It means so
- 10:26Speaker 6: much to me. I would invite you to just do
- 10:31Speaker 6: the same. Here's a deal. Today is all we really have.
- 10:36Speaker 6: The past belongs to history, the future belongs to God.
- 10:40Speaker 2: We have today. You should rejoice and be glad in it.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Because this is yours.
- 10:47Speaker 6: That's why they call it the present, because it's an
- 10:50Speaker 6: unwrapped gift. It's the present. This is yours, this is ours.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Let's get in.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morty Show.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Sheary Strawberry calling for elements, Monica Junior Berotter, know this, kids,
- 11:02Speaker 6: break and the legend of nephew Tommy yours truly, Junior.
- 11:05Speaker 1: What boy, I tell you what?
- 11:09Speaker 7: I remember one of your more famous jokes Willie Turner,
- 11:12Speaker 7: like give my money.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I saw it the.
- 11:15Speaker 7: Other day, man, man, So what list have you gone
- 11:18Speaker 7: through to get your money? If somebody don't have Steve
- 11:21Speaker 7: Harvey money, what lists have you been through?
- 11:25Speaker 6: I'm gonna tell you one of the biggest impacts, one
- 11:28Speaker 6: of the moments.
- 11:28Speaker 2: It's the true story.
- 11:29Speaker 6: I got paid in Arkansas one night and we were
- 11:34Speaker 6: performing at this comedy club that was upstairs on the
- 11:37Speaker 6: second floor had a bar, and I kind of stayed
- 11:40Speaker 6: till the show was over, talking to some of the
- 11:42Speaker 6: bartenders and waitresses, and I put my little cash in
- 11:46Speaker 6: a bag, which was seven hundred and fifty dollars, and
- 11:51Speaker 6: I'm walking because I could walk across the street to
- 11:55Speaker 6: the condo that they let the comedia stay in. And
- 11:58Speaker 6: I come downstairs on the walk across the parking lot,
- 12:01Speaker 6: and this dude runs up behind me and grabs me
- 12:05Speaker 6: from behind, and I kind of turned and I could
- 12:08Speaker 6: see the waitresses upstairs on the balcony when I had
- 12:11Speaker 6: just left, and they was talking and laughing, so I
- 12:14Speaker 6: thought it was one of the little bartender's playing. You
- 12:16Speaker 6: know how they play. I don't really play like that.
- 12:19Speaker 6: You know how he I go along with it. For
- 12:22Speaker 6: a pickup truck, he grabs me from behind. It was
- 12:25Speaker 6: kind of tight, but I said, okay, that's how he's
- 12:27Speaker 6: trying to play. He wasn't strong enough to toss me,
- 12:30Speaker 6: but he was holding me. A pickup truck pulls up
- 12:33Speaker 6: right in front of me, and the dude jumps out
- 12:35Speaker 6: the truck and is charging at me.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Now right there, the hood in me goes off. Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 6: I don't know if they still playing, but it don't
- 12:43Speaker 6: look like playing to me, So I'm gonna act.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Like it ain't no play game no more.
- 12:48Speaker 6: I put my chin on my chest and threw my
- 12:51Speaker 6: head back into his face as hard as I.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Could, bust his nose.
- 12:56Speaker 6: But here the dude come, the little white dude gonna
- 12:59Speaker 6: ben over and charge me.
- 13:01Speaker 2: And I was way quick at the end.
- 13:02Speaker 6: I was in my thirties, So yeah, bending over charging me,
- 13:06Speaker 6: that's a mistake.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I'm put the knee in your chin.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Come to find out, they was robbing meg. I you
- 13:17Speaker 6: ain't got no gun, you ain't got no knighte.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Y'all ain't strong, y'all. Ain't coordinated?
- 13:23Speaker 8: You robbing me? Yeah, you ain't got none of qualification, boy.
- 13:27Speaker 2: And you can't fight.
- 13:30Speaker 6: You know where to hear you get my seven fifty.
- 13:32Speaker 6: All right, it's a nice day at the outside. Nice
- 13:35Speaker 6: activity right after the show. Yeah, still have my hands,
- 13:40Speaker 6: thank you, Lord.
- 13:41Speaker 9: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour. Run
- 13:44Speaker 9: that brank back right after this.
- 13:46Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Do you think astronauts fight over elbow room?
- 13:56Speaker 6: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space. Until now,
- 14:01Speaker 6: introduce it the Hondai Ionic nine, a three row electric

- 14:11Speaker 3: The all new Hondai Ionic nine face in an EV.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Visit Hondai USA dot com for more details. EPA estimated
- 14:18Speaker 3: rings for nine based on fully charged batteries for comparison
- 14:21Speaker 3: purpose only. Actual rings will vary based on several factors.

- 16:43Speaker 10: that she was in love with someone.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Well you know what you know. And maybe it's a
- 16:47Speaker 5: situation where Christa is like a little maybe a little
- 16:50Speaker 5: uneasy about talking to you about it. You know what
- 16:52Speaker 5: I'm saying.
- 16:52Speaker 10: My daughter can talk to me about anything.

- 18:27Speaker 5: love ain't got no limit. Man, It's just something that happened.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Crystal loved me, I love her, and it is what

- 18:42Speaker 12: Now. My daughter been a private.
- 18:43Speaker 10: School all love life. She's gonna do this. It's all

- 18:57Speaker 5: love is right the second time around. You understand I'm saying,
- 19:00Speaker 5: what the.
- 19:00Speaker 12: Hell you mean the second time?
- 19:02Speaker 5: I got kids already. What I'm trying to say is
- 19:05Speaker 5: it didn't work out with me on the first time.
- 19:07Speaker 5: What I wanted to do, man, is just call you
- 19:10Speaker 5: and solidify the culinary experience.

- 19:17Speaker 12: talking about it? Look?
- 19:18Speaker 11: Look, look, look, I gotta talk to my daughter. I'm
- 19:21Speaker 11: gonna call Crystal and I'm gonna find out what the
- 19:23Speaker 11: hell is going on, because look, man, I'm not even
- 19:25Speaker 11: trying to have this conversation with you.
- 19:27Speaker 5: And I look comparent, I understand all that. I understand

- 56:50Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:50Speaker 9: The Candy Lady is the subject. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 56:55Speaker 9: a fifty nine year old mother of two grown sons,
- 56:58Speaker 9: and I pride myself on how well I raised them
- 57:01Speaker 9: by myself. They both are educated and have great jobs.
- 57:05Speaker 9: My oldest son is married and he is a baby
- 57:07Speaker 9: on the way with his wife. My youngest son is
- 57:10Speaker 9: twenty nine and he is trying to send.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Me to an early grave.
- 57:15Speaker 9: When I was raising my boys, I had a village
- 57:17Speaker 9: of strong women to help me. One of my nearest
- 57:20Speaker 9: and dearest friends helped me the most, and my sons
- 57:23Speaker 9: loved to call her the candy Lady because she always
- 57:26Speaker 9: has some kind of candy in her purse. She never
- 57:29Speaker 9: had children and never got married, but they never saw
- 57:32Speaker 9: her go through all of the men and the drama
- 57:35Speaker 9: in her life. Up until twenty twenty, she was in
- 57:38Speaker 9: an eleven year relationship with this married man. After they
- 57:42Speaker 9: broke up, she was very depressed, and I did all
- 57:46Speaker 9: I could to snap her out of it. I even
- 57:48Speaker 9: sent my twenty nine year old son over to change
- 57:51Speaker 9: her locks to prevent the married man from creeping back
- 57:54Speaker 9: into her life. She called me a few days after
- 57:57Speaker 9: that and said she was getting her life back on
- 58:00Speaker 9: track and my son was going to teach her how
- 58:02Speaker 9: to play tennis.
- 58:03Speaker 1: I thought that a hobby would be helpful.
- 58:06Speaker 9: Little did I know she and my son have been
- 58:08Speaker 9: seeing each other for over a year. He's been living
- 58:13Speaker 9: with her for a while, and he won't tell me
- 58:15Speaker 9: how or why it all happened. He came to me
- 58:18Speaker 9: last week and said he wanted to tell me something,
- 58:21Speaker 9: But before he told me, he said there is nothing
- 58:24Speaker 9: I can do about it. He told me that I
- 58:26Speaker 9: shouldn't be upset with my friend because age doesn't matter,
- 58:30Speaker 9: and he called her his soulmates, the candy lady that
- 58:34Speaker 9: I know has had over a hundred soulmates over the years.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I don't want my son with this old hefa.
- 58:41Speaker 9: Is there anything I can do to break up my
- 58:43Speaker 9: son and the candy lady?
- 58:45Speaker 1: Wow?
- 58:47Speaker 9: First of all, I mean this is one of those,
- 58:49Speaker 9: you know, ultimate betrayal type situations, because she knows better
- 58:54Speaker 9: that she's your age. You say you're fifty nine and
- 58:57Speaker 9: she's you know, doing your twenty nine year old son. Yeah,
- 59:02Speaker 9: this she went behind your back. Basically, you know you
- 59:06Speaker 9: guys are supposed to be friends. She knows your son
- 59:09Speaker 9: with off limits. And here's what you know, you already know.
- 59:13Speaker 9: There is nothing you can do about this. I mean,
- 59:15Speaker 9: as a mother, I know you don't want this for
- 59:18Speaker 9: your son. You do not like them together. This woman
- 59:21Speaker 9: is your friend, so you know all her business, and
- 59:24Speaker 9: you don't think she's good enough for your son. You
- 59:26Speaker 9: know what she's been through, all the men, the married
- 59:29Speaker 9: men for eleven years that she was with. All you're
- 59:33Speaker 9: doing is looking out for your son. At this point,
- 59:35Speaker 9: you think she's way too old, as you mentioned in
- 59:38Speaker 9: the letter, for your twenty nine year old son, and
- 59:40Speaker 9: that she has too much baggage. There's nothing wrong with
- 59:43Speaker 9: how you feel. But here's the other thing. They are
- 59:46Speaker 9: both grown. They are both consenting adults. She's I guess,
- 59:50Speaker 9: around fifty nine, he's twenty nine. He never even told
- 59:53Speaker 9: you how this happened or came about, but you know
- 59:56Speaker 9: he was over there and she probably you know, seduced him.
- 59:59Speaker 9: And they want each other right now. That's what they do.
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: They're grown. Like I said, consenting fore to do whatever
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: they want, and what they want is each other. They
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: already live together, so basically your hands are tied. He's
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: been with her for a whole year. Sometimes you just
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: gotta pray, let it go, give it to God. This
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: relationship and all that comes with it, good or bad,
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: is called life experience. For your son. You're trying to
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: stop that, but you know it's not a lot you
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: can do at this point. I wish you the best,
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: but I don't see anything you can do at this point.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: Steve Well, candid lady, candy lady friend, a little candy boy.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Ah, have.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: On take on this letter that is going to shock
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: all Paul and really just be upsetting to So before
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: I get into this letter, I want to say that
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: I personally stand by everything I'm about to say. I
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: have no reason to apologize. I am not asking you
- 1:01:15Speaker 6: to agree with me. As a matter of fact.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: I d C be clear about that. Oh I don't care.
- 1:01:26Speaker 9: I d C.
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: I'm gonna create my own emojis online. Yeah, wyd I
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: got a new one. I d C because I really
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: be wanting to text that most of the time when
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: I'm texting. So that's the new one. I d C
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: stands for I don't care. I wish I'm gonna start
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: texting it. Save me a lot of texts. All right,
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: let me tell you that this fifty nine year old mother,
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: these two grown sons, now here's a lot of what
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: I'm proud of single mothers that raise their children. I
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: really am, and I think you do a great job.
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: But I keep telling y'all. You can raise these boys
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: to be good citizens. You can raise them to be gentlemen.
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: You can really raise them to be God fearing. You
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: can raise them to obey the law. You can raise
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: them a lot of ways. You can't make them men.
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: I don't care what you do. You can't make them men.
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: The how they decide to be as men. It's gonna
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: have a lot to do with another man.
- 1:02:22Speaker 12: Now.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: You can instill a.
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: Lot of the great qualities of a man in him,
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: but when it's time to be a man, he has
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: to stand alone. Your oldest son is married, he got
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: a baby on his way. Your youngest son twenty nine,
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: he trying to send you to early grade. See you
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: mad because one of your nears and dearest friends helped
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: me the most. And my sons love to call her
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: the candy Lady. She been the candy Lady for a
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: long time. You got the title of this letter, right,
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: And when I come back, I'm gonna tell you how
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: much candy the Lady has been passing out and for
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: how long?
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: And who all had to cook?
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:03:03Speaker 9: Hang on, Steve, Part two of your responses coming up
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: at twenty three minutes after the hour today Strawberry letter,
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: subject the Candy Lady. We'll get back into it right
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:54Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: The subject the candy Lady.
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: Well, this fifty nine year old woman raised her two sons,
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: did a great job, instill a lot of values. That
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: one of her sons is married with a baby on
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: the way. The oldest son very proud of him. And
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: then she's having some trouble with the youngest one. He
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: is twenty nine. He trying to send her to her
- 1:04:20Speaker 6: early grave. He say, well, let's get into this. Then,
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: she said, when I was raising my boys, I had
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: a village of strong women to help me that needed
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: to be a man in there. But no problem. Women
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: do a great job being mothers and single mothers, and
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: they've done great job raising some boys and some young
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: men had turned out just fine. But the job of
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: manhood has to fall squelly on the shoulders of another man.
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: I can't teach my daughters how to be women. I
- 1:04:55Speaker 6: don't care how much I talk to him. He's just
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: too much about it. I don't know. And so it
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: is with manhood. But you did a good job. Now,
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: one of your nares and Deer's friends helped you the most.
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: And my son loved to call her the candy Lady
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: because she always had some kind of candy in her purse.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: We'll get into that in a minute. She never had.
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: Children, never got married, but they never saw her go
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: through all the men and the drama in her life
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: up until twenty twenty. Now, this woman, candid Lady, was
- 1:05:29Speaker 6: in eleven year relationship with this married man. After they
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: broke up, she was depressed, and I did all I
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: could to snap out of it.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Now here's what you did. You sent the twenty nine year.
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: Old boy yours over there to change her locks to
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: prevent the married man from creeping back into her life.
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: She called me a few days later after that and
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: said she was getting her life back on track and
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: her son was gonna teach you how to play tennis.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: I thought that a hobby would be helpful.
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: Little did I know she and my son have been
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: seeing each other for over a year. He been living
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: with her for a while, and he won't even tell
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: me how while I don't have if.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: They do early grade.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Before I finished crying, let me.
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: Tell you what happened, he went over the Candy lady house.
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: Candy Lady turned into the cookie Lady. See, you can't
- 1:06:35Speaker 6: you can't keep passing our candy to grown me. See,
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: it ain't candy for me no more. It's cake, pie cookies.
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: I like cookies because they He is here to get to.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: Now here's your problem. He won't tell me how why
- 1:07:00Speaker 6: it all happened. So then he came to me last week.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: I'm looking at it.
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: He been living with her for a while, and he
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: won't tell me why, Oh it all happened.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: No, Sureley, you can't stop me.
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: I'm been knowing this help for my whole life, and
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: you're trying to help her. I see my son over there,
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: and help her get herself together and change these locks.
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: So this bounced, and don't come back up in there,
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: and then she gonna set up here and just stop
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: passing our cadd All of a sudden, she got to
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: give it our cooking over there, and he stupid, he'd
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: ha got hold of something this hole, that cooking, and
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: now the cooking, and then he don't know what he's doing.
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: He don't even know what he doing over there. He
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: came to me last week. He told me he's going
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: to tell me. I'm trying to tell you the story.
- 1:07:49Speaker 6: Now it's going to tell me it's but before he
- 1:07:55Speaker 6: told me, he told me, wasn't nothing lowed to do
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: about it? I am you gonna come and tell me,
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: And then you gonna tell me, ain't nothing like doing
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: about why you're telling me? I want to do something
- 1:08:06Speaker 6: about it. I want to help myself. Go hear about
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: this old heaver.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: And she then put it on him. She don't put
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: it on me. What that dude, she'll put it All
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: him is good and all is good is experienced.
- 1:08:19Speaker 12: Ha.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: I know what she did to him. But then he
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: gonna tell me I should be up saying, you see
- 1:08:26Speaker 6: me crying, you'll see me crying.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: You don't tell me to be.
- 1:08:30Speaker 6: I'm saying, you'll tell me how to be. Will come

- 1:13:19Speaker 8: Remember when when did wear a jogging suit?
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Member?

- 1:14:14Speaker 7: Follow absolutely, shirt. It's that time of years. Yeah, and
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: it's gonna happen.
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: I'm gonna be the voice of reason here. So yes,
- 1:14:22Speaker 6: I see something wrong with this rule. I'm gonna have
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: to tighten you up.
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: Okay, that's fine, but there ain't nothing wrong with these
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: rules because this goes gonna happen.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 1:14:29Speaker 8: First rule number one, don't fall in love.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: See what that means is fall in love with your
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: side piece could mess up the relationship. You just need
- 1:14:43Speaker 7: to know what this is. It's just six, that's all
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: we do. It's man, This.
- 1:14:49Speaker 8: Ain't no boys to me in love. This ain't no

- 1:15:20Speaker 13: here we go up.
- 1:15:21Speaker 8: Number two. Being a side piece.
- 1:15:24Speaker 7: Means keeping your expectations in check. Okay, Yes, I'm going
- 1:15:30Speaker 7: on family vacation with my family, but I will only
- 1:15:34Speaker 7: be there when I'm not needed at the house. Means
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: don't don't worry about what we're going. I'll be back.
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: I can't be there every day. I can only be
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: there the day that she I'm not needed at the house.
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: And no, you cannot go on the family.
- 1:15:51Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: Rule number three, and this is important. You got to
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: be under cover. That means you must communicate and meet
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: up with me without anyone else knowing. You need to
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: act like you in a spy movie. This James Bond

- 1:16:39Speaker 7: it's just about you and me. It's about you, me
- 1:16:43Speaker 7: and her. Okay, think about everyone when you make a move.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: You have to know how you have.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: You have to consider her too.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Yes, oh really that's consider her.
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: Yes, know her work schedule, no time she gets home,
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: know what time she called that way you know, But
- 1:17:06Speaker 7: not to say nothing.
- 1:17:09Speaker 8: This is important. You have to know the risk for this.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Yes, it's crazy, but now this is a big one.
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: And this is the one y'all like to do because
- 1:17:18Speaker 7: when you see it, you confront and all this stuff.
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: But then what you need to understand. I don't care
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: who you talking to, even if it's my own mama. Okay,
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: never talk and never admit to anything. If there's some
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: drama things about to get crazy, let me handle it.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: And let me do all the talking, all the lying.
- 1:17:38Speaker 8: Right, Absolutely, go ahead.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: I'm in charge of all lies.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: Leave it to the experts.
- 1:17:47Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Yeah, and here the last one, the last one. This
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: is very important.
- 1:17:52Speaker 8: You said, all of us very fun they are.
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: If we're gonna make this work, call it. They all
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: got to be important. Okay, and I mean this. No
- 1:18:00Speaker 7: social media, lord, no, there will be no selfies. There
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: will be none. Don't take pictures of us just showing

- 1:18:58Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:18:58Speaker 9: So in the Weird Animal News, a couple in Louisiana
- 1:19:03Speaker 9: heard a strange noise, so they walked to the porch
- 1:19:06Speaker 9: to investigate and found that the screen door was torn.
- 1:19:10Speaker 9: Then they saw a tail that was attached to a
- 1:19:13Speaker 9: massive nine foot alligator just sitting there. The couple quickly
- 1:19:19Speaker 9: called for help from the sheriff's office and a neighbor
- 1:19:21Speaker 9: who raises alligators. The sheriff's office, along with a gator handler,
- 1:19:25Speaker 9: captured the gator and eventually released it into the nearby river.
- 1:19:30Speaker 9: But the gator didn't go peacefully. It put up a fight.
- 1:19:34Speaker 9: It tossed patio furniture all over the porch. Experts say,
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: if you find yourself in this position, you've encounter an
- 1:19:43Speaker 9: alligator on land, run in a straight line as fast
- 1:19:47Speaker 9: as you can, don't zigzag and all of that. And
- 1:19:50Speaker 9: if an alligator grabs you, fight and go for its eyes,
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: its nose, or throat, which are its most sensitive areas.
- 1:19:59Speaker 13: What yeah, whats Jr?
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: Dragging you off the break into the water. I'm supposed
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: to grab his.

- 1:20:13Speaker 6: Try to grab one of them roots on that tree.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I cannot see this happening. Listen to anyone I know?
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: All this alligator fighting taking it you.
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: When you run into a bed, you better zig zag
- 1:20:31Speaker 6: because they don't change directions.
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: Good we.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Play another round? It would you rather?
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: Right after this.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: Do you think astronauts fight over elbow rooms?
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: Probably because advanced tech doesn't always mean more space.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: Until now introduce it.

- 1:21:15Speaker 3: for comparison purpose only. Actual rings will vary based on
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: several factors.
- 1:21:19Speaker 9: All right, guys, it is time for would you rather
- 1:21:22Speaker 9: for today?
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Would you rather now think about this?

- 1:22:15Speaker 6: you receive benefit of something you've done, and award they
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: just give you something. It's usually a group of people
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: or something like that. It ain't got to be unanimous
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: and all like that. So I'm about the Noble Peace Prize.
- 1:22:28Speaker 9: Okay, all right, would you rather starve for a week,

- 1:25:39Speaker 6: Yeah, oh yeah, hey, you know, you know I've been
- 1:25:44Speaker 6: opening this show lately and I've been talking about the tood.
- 1:25:50Speaker 6: I call it the tube, you know, because you know
- 1:25:54Speaker 6: sometimes you get accused of Hey, you know you need
- 1:25:56Speaker 6: to watch your tube now. You know, your tude is
- 1:25:59Speaker 6: too strong with me. And I've been opening the show
- 1:26:02Speaker 6: talking about the tude. But the tude. I really was
- 1:26:05Speaker 6: thinking about it after I did it this morning. I said,
- 1:26:07Speaker 6: you know what, man, that really make you know sense?
- 1:26:13Speaker 6: You know, it's the three tudes that can change your life.
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: And the three tudes are this if you start your
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: day with gratitude, that showing gratitude will immediately immediately affect
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: your attitude. And once your attitude has been properly adjusted
- 1:26:42Speaker 6: and affected, those two things will start to direct change
- 1:26:52Speaker 6: your altitude.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: So twud, when I say the tudes, you know, get
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: your tu together.
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: It's really really a motivating thing, man, And I just
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: stumbled on it. Gratitude, attitude, altitude, And that's really, man,
- 1:27:15Speaker 6: the three things man, that can really change your life
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: because gratitude is such a major principle of success that's
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: oftentimes overlooked.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: And what I mean.
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: By that is it's not it's not a theory that
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: successful people came up with. It's a scripture. I don't
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: know which one it is, but it is a scripture.
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure SUREY could find it. When it talks about,
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: you know, giving thanks. You know, the more grateful you are,
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: the more things God will give you to be grateful for.
- 1:27:44Speaker 6: There's a scripture applied to that. But it's when you
- 1:27:47Speaker 6: come to God in prayer. You open up your prayer
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: with thanks. That's the proper way to pray, to open
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: up by saying thank you.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: You know what I mean. But it only makes common sense.
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: I mean, you think about it, you know, instead of
- 1:28:02Speaker 6: always walking in the door asking somebody for something.
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: Hello, how you doing? You know, I really appreciate you man.
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: You've been very kind to my family and uh, and
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: I don't mean to be you know, step on your
- 1:28:14Speaker 6: toes anything, but you've done so much for us.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: I need one more favor.
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: That's a better way to walk in the door, to
- 1:28:22Speaker 6: just walk in the door and go, hey, what's up?
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: Man? Hey, look man, can I get a hundred?
- 1:28:26Speaker 11: Well?
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: Wait a minute, man, can you get a hundred? Just
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: like that with no hay, how you doing? Sorry about you?
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: Give me something? But when you go to God, if
- 1:28:35Speaker 6: you start your prayer with gratitude, it's to acknowledge the
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: fact that you already recognized that you have been sending
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: some grace and some mercy in your life that you
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: may not really even be deserving of, because that's what
- 1:28:51Speaker 6: grace is. Grace is God's unmerited favor, and what it
- 1:28:57Speaker 6: means by that is unmerited means you can't earn it.
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: You can't do anything to get it. Grace is given
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: out freely, without cause, purpose or justification. When God gives
- 1:29:11Speaker 6: you grace, He just give it to you and you
- 1:29:13Speaker 6: can pass judgment all you want. I know you probably
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: think is a lot of people that don't deserve grace,
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: but you ain't the one that has the ability to
- 1:29:20Speaker 6: pass it out. And I thank God for that, because
- 1:29:22Speaker 6: if people determine who got grace, we probably wouldn't get
- 1:29:25Speaker 6: none at all.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: But God is to give of grace.
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: And God's grace is his unmerited favor to us when
- 1:29:34Speaker 6: He does things for us.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: That we don't even deserve.
- 1:29:40Speaker 6: And that's why you hear old people say all I
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: want is a little more grace because they understand how
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: powerful it is.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: I wish you could purchase grace. I would take any
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: extra that I have and buy its.
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: Matter of fact, I would take all that I have
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: to buy grace because such a beneficiary of grace man,
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: because it's unexplainable how good God has been to me.
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: And I can only tell you that I know a
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: lot of what God does to me is simply because
- 1:30:12Speaker 6: I have the good sense to show gratitude. I have
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: enough sense to thank Him all the time for what
- 1:30:22Speaker 6: He's done for me. And now millions and millions of
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: people who do the same thing, and they have the
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: life to show for it. This life I'm talking about
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: is not in terms of money. It's often just times
- 1:30:34Speaker 6: in terms of quality of life. Because let me tell
- 1:30:37Speaker 6: you something, I know a lot of people with money
- 1:30:38Speaker 6: ain't happy at all. But I'm just talking about quality
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: of life. Having family, some friends, having relationships, being able
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: to work, be happy, enjoying yourself. All of this is possible.
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: But grace is everything, man, it really really is. And
- 1:30:58Speaker 6: to get it, I think the only thing I can
- 1:31:01Speaker 6: attest to mine is that he knows I'm grateful. And
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: I will occasionally tell people about what he's done for me.
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: I'm a living witness to that. I'm a living witness
- 1:31:11Speaker 6: to his grace, his mercy, and his forgiveness because he did.
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: If he hasn't forgiven me several times, I've been using though,
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: I've been used up my third opportunity. If I was
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: a cat, I've done my nine lives over and over
- 1:31:29Speaker 6: and over. He's He's forgiven me thousands and thousands of times.
- 1:31:34Speaker 6: And that's just grace, and that's mercy, and that's favor.
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: But it starts with gratitude. If you change your gratitude,
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: it affects your attitude. And once your attitude is affected,
- 1:31:46Speaker 6: it changes your altitude. Those are the tudes we're working
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: on today, y'all. Have a great day, have great We
- 1:31:51Speaker 6: can't talk to God, he'd loved to hear from you.
