- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on digging now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show today. I want to just share something
- 2:16Speaker 1: with you. Um along your way, um to wherever it
- 2:23Speaker 1: is you're trying to get to. You know, every everybody
- 2:26Speaker 1: has a different definition for success, and I'm not I'm
- 2:30Speaker 1: not here to tell you what yours should be. I mean,
- 2:32Speaker 1: please pursue whatever you think success. He is aim as
- 2:36Speaker 1: high as you can though. Uh, that's for sure. My
- 2:41Speaker 1: father used to say all the time. I'm sure you
- 2:43Speaker 1: all have heard it in different variations, but he used
- 2:46Speaker 1: to always say aim for the moon. Just in case
- 2:49Speaker 1: you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. Just say
- 2:52Speaker 1: that to me all the time. So that always was
- 2:55Speaker 1: in me to aim high. Now he wasn't and aim
- 3:00Speaker 1: with the intent to miss. He was just saying, aim
- 3:05Speaker 1: in case you miss, You're still amongst the stars if
- 3:09Speaker 1: you aim for the moon. But if you just aim
- 3:12Speaker 1: for that first flow wind and you miss it, you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: usually run into some type of wall and nothing happens.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You slither down. But a lot of times I think
- 3:24Speaker 1: along the way, folks, you know, we just don't understand
- 3:26Speaker 1: what all it takes, and so we give up along
- 3:29Speaker 1: the way. But there's a couple of things I want
- 3:32Speaker 1: you to prepare yourself for. You know. In my book,
- 3:36Speaker 1: act like a lady, think like a man. I told
- 3:38Speaker 1: her people that men love three ways. They profess, they provide,
- 3:41Speaker 1: they protect, and that's the core essence of a man's love. Well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: there's some other peas in life too. And uh now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: the number one thing you have to understand about trying
- 3:58Speaker 1: to be successful. And I guess I call this the
- 4:02Speaker 1: four piece. I may come up with five along the way.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just talking as it is given
- 4:07Speaker 1: to me. So I'm gonna summer start by saying, as
- 4:11Speaker 1: these are the four piece of uh success that you
- 4:15Speaker 1: have to get ready for it. Number one, it's pressure,
- 4:20Speaker 1: pure pressure. Being successful is just pressure. A lot of
- 4:30Speaker 1: it is applied by the circumstance of what you're trying
- 4:33Speaker 1: to go for and what you're trying to do, but
- 4:38Speaker 1: a lot of it also is self imposed pressure. It's um,
- 4:44Speaker 1: it's it's what you put on yourself to make it.
- 4:47Speaker 1: It's it's a sense of urgency, it's it's a sense
- 4:52Speaker 1: of necessity. But pressure is the first thing I want
- 4:57Speaker 1: you to be ready for. And pressure is in a
- 5:00Speaker 1: lot of different forms, but it's gonna be pressured. As
- 5:03Speaker 1: an old saying the pressure bus to pipe. See, that's
- 5:05Speaker 1: why most people turn around because of the pressure of
- 5:09Speaker 1: trying to be successful. I want you to get it
- 5:12Speaker 1: in your mind that it is going to be a
- 5:14Speaker 1: pressurized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure wise,
- 5:21Speaker 1: it's gonna be pressure. It's gonna be difficult to do.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It's gonna be moments when it seems like it's real heavy.
- 5:27Speaker 1: It's gonna be moments man, when it feel like you're
- 5:29Speaker 1: gonna burst us. All comes from pressure. Pressure, buster pipe pressure.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But understand that that is what it is, is not
- 5:39Speaker 1: going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get ready for
- 5:44Speaker 1: there to be pressure. The second thing I want you
- 5:50Speaker 1: to understand is when you receive this pressure, you have
- 5:54Speaker 1: to persist. You got to stay at it. You got
- 5:59Speaker 1: to develop dog itness. Has a there's a song out
- 6:09Speaker 1: he says, why must I feel like that? Why must
- 6:13Speaker 1: I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog in me?
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's a funny line in that song, because really I
- 6:22Speaker 1: was thinking about it one day. I was humming it
- 6:25Speaker 1: and and and it, and it occurred to me, he said,
- 6:28Speaker 1: why must I feel like that? Why must I chase
- 6:32Speaker 1: the cat? Nothing but the dog in me? And you know,
- 6:37Speaker 1: now you could take it into literal sense that the
- 6:40Speaker 1: cat chases the dog because it's innately is in his
- 6:43Speaker 1: spirit that cats and dogs are a lot of times enemies.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Now people have pets and help proven that if you
- 6:50Speaker 1: show love on both sides, they can exist. And that
- 6:52Speaker 1: happens too. But naturally, innately, when your cat goes by
- 6:57Speaker 1: a dog, your dog don't recognize him. That some balling
- 7:00Speaker 1: going on. I'm talking I just walking through the neighborhood
- 7:03Speaker 1: or something. So but the reason that this dog is
- 7:08Speaker 1: so persistent towards this cat's just cause it's in him.
- 7:14Speaker 1: It's innately in him. And what I'm saying to you,
- 7:19Speaker 1: just using that as an analogy, is that you got
- 7:23Speaker 1: to be you got to be persistent in that. You
- 7:29Speaker 1: got to develop some dog in you now, because pressure
- 7:33Speaker 1: take some fighting back. See if you don't fight back
- 7:36Speaker 1: against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what you're think it
- 7:39Speaker 1: will do to you? Pressure crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 7:45Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:49Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:53Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:57Speaker 1: want to be successful every single day, over and over
- 8:01Speaker 1: and over and over and over. It's just too much pressure.
- 8:05Speaker 1: People crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You can the thought of giving up can come, but
- 8:13Speaker 1: you gotta get it out. You gotta persist. The next
- 8:21Speaker 1: thing I want you to think about, there's another something
- 8:24Speaker 1: that I've been thinking about for years and learn for years.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's called perseverance. See, to persist means to to to
- 8:36Speaker 1: to to insist. Keyword in insist and persistence insists you
- 8:42Speaker 1: must You must insist that this is going to happen. Now.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The persist I'm assuming means it's a pro action. It's
- 8:49Speaker 1: some type of pro action that you go towards it
- 8:52Speaker 1: to make it. You know, persist, you gotta be persistent,
- 8:56Speaker 1: You gotta be constantly at insisting that it happens. You
- 8:59Speaker 1: gotta constantly at it. But the next thing I want
- 9:02Speaker 1: you to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means
- 9:08Speaker 1: that when you've done your best, when you've persisted, when
- 9:13Speaker 1: you're fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm
- 9:19Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna hang in here now. I'm going to
- 9:23Speaker 1: hang in here. What if if a crack come into pipe,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 9:31Speaker 1: gonna keep going. If I gotta put duct take silly glue,
- 9:36Speaker 1: bondo mud, whatever I got to put on this thing. Man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it
- 9:47Speaker 1: no matter what. So we're looking at the three things again.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You got to understand that it's gonna be pressure that
- 9:54Speaker 1: you're gonna have to persist. Keyword and persistence Insist. You
- 9:59Speaker 1: have to insists that no matter what the pressure is.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna stay with it, but then perseverance. If it
- 10:05Speaker 1: goes wrong, Man, you got to get in there and
- 10:09Speaker 1: keep fighting. But then, Lord her Mercy, nothing helps you
- 10:14Speaker 1: handle the three peas better than the fourth p You
- 10:18Speaker 1: got to pray. You got to use prayer. You gotta
- 10:22Speaker 1: talk to God. You gotta use faith. You gotta have
- 10:25Speaker 1: some conferences with him late at night, early in the morning,
- 10:30Speaker 1: in the middle of the afternoon, when you own the train,
- 10:32Speaker 1: when you're driving, you got to talk to God. Man,
- 10:35Speaker 1: you gotta get yourself some help along the way. Nothing
- 10:38Speaker 1: is bigger than prayer. There is nothing bigger than prayer.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Prayer will help you overcome the pressure. Prayer will help
- 10:45Speaker 1: you stay persistent, and Lord her Mercy, prayer will help
- 10:48Speaker 1: you persevere. Them is the foe pas that just came
- 10:52Speaker 1: to me today. God gave it to me. I'm passing
- 10:55Speaker 1: it on. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, circus, animals,
- 11:09Speaker 1: movie stars, celebrities, ditch diggers, bathroom attendance, stripples, hey missionary
- 11:22Speaker 1: right after deacon board. You gotta save them. No separations, pastors,
- 11:30Speaker 1: dope boys yo, right after the past tall and short people.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Then n y okay, those of us that's put on
- 11:43Speaker 1: unwanted pounds. I have your undivided attentionly right here. I
- 11:50Speaker 1: am bad, I am arrested, and OJ's free of the world.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Come October, o J is back. But the church say
- 12:08Speaker 1: man amen again. Now, based on this little cat, ask
- 12:18Speaker 1: a question. Don't y'all feel as though based on the
- 12:25Speaker 1: crime he was serving his time for, not for everything
- 12:29Speaker 1: he's ever done, but for the crime he went in
- 12:33Speaker 1: for at the hotel kidnapping, um robbery, assault to get
- 12:41Speaker 1: his to get his stuff back. Do you think that
- 12:46Speaker 1: the nine years was enough? Because I felt as dupe
- 12:52Speaker 1: it was enough for that. Is that the way y'all
- 12:59Speaker 1: are for him? Yeah? Now for the crime he was
- 13:03Speaker 1: sentenced for, yes, yes, well he out have any questions,
- 13:11Speaker 1: oh J back and I on thirty something funny. I
- 13:13Speaker 1: have a series of questions I have for Oja, not statements,
- 13:19Speaker 1: but I'm just asking some questions I want to ask
- 13:23Speaker 1: o J. Okay, it's oh, you're gonna direct these questions
- 13:27Speaker 1: to o J. To Oorenthal. Yeah, to quit calling him
- 13:32Speaker 1: juice and o J and all of that from now on.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Anybody saying he no, no, no, he thought he's too
- 13:41Speaker 1: hard to say slavery, but that's what he is. Now.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He thinks probation. He's never been on probation. Boiling Taste, Florida.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I've done probation for five years? What this is? Al
- 14:01Speaker 1: Wait a minut? Hold on, let me change that. Have
- 14:03Speaker 1: I been on probe years? No? No, no not? You've
- 14:10Speaker 1: got seven TV shows? Have you got? I thought I had? No,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you haven't. That was in your mind, comedian. All right,
- 14:21Speaker 1: we'll be back with Steve's questions for Orienthal right after this.
- 14:26Speaker 1: We're calling him juice. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:30Speaker 1: All right, O, J is free. He's gonna get out
- 14:34Speaker 1: of prison in October. Uh, what's it? Here? Would go again? What?
- 14:43Speaker 1: What I know? You have some questions because I don't
- 14:47Speaker 1: have no statement. The only statement I'm making is he's
- 14:54Speaker 1: free on probation. He did nine years for the crime
- 14:58Speaker 1: committed in the whole Tell that sufficient time for that
- 15:03Speaker 1: type of crime. Nobody was injured, So you know, I
- 15:07Speaker 1: think you know that's enough time. There's plenty. Actually, and
- 15:12Speaker 1: he did. He was a model and made so and
- 15:16Speaker 1: he got in programs. He tried to better so and
- 15:19Speaker 1: he lost weight. He looked good. He looked on his
- 15:22Speaker 1: shirt for the thing and everything. That's what I like. Yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 1: you know that you know that I'm your clothes. Don't
- 15:28Speaker 1: come in here, look like you got to go. I'm
- 15:32Speaker 1: your clothes like you want to go outside with a
- 15:35Speaker 1: jumper on in them paper shoes, knowing your asses going back.
- 15:40Speaker 1: That's when you know you're not gonna clear. So you
- 15:42Speaker 1: for you, he did. I was looking at his T
- 15:47Speaker 1: shirt in his jeans and had a belt on. It
- 15:51Speaker 1: wasn't saying he looked like he was ready to get
- 15:54Speaker 1: in the car somewhere he's been exfoliating everything. Look yeah, yeah,
- 16:01Speaker 1: he looked somebody on this ship somebody I mean the people.
- 16:09Speaker 1: But I have questions though, okay, alright, number one question.
- 16:15Speaker 1: These are no statements, all these fun thought. First of all,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I needed just other people to stay with me on this.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Stop all this juice ain't nimal juice, and stop saying,
- 16:27Speaker 1: oh J the man name from now on and on
- 16:30Speaker 1: in thought, because that's what the probate court is calling
- 16:34Speaker 1: you or in thought. That probation office ain't time about
- 16:37Speaker 1: oh J. Now listen, No, that's or in thought. But
- 16:39Speaker 1: he's gonna be so he's gonna be out probation. Different man,
- 16:45Speaker 1: listen to me. So you've heard, so you've heard? Uh huh.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Question number one, well, are you gonna be living? He's
- 17:00Speaker 1: in Florida. But we need to clarify that we're in Florida.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I need exactly second question, can we be notified when
- 17:10Speaker 1: you leave in the house. I'm with you. I'm not
- 17:17Speaker 1: telling y'all, y'all live how you want to live. I'm
- 17:20Speaker 1: just asking can we be notified when you leaving the house.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I don't give a damn where it is? Can we
- 17:29Speaker 1: get notified? Next thing I want to know is can
- 17:36Speaker 1: can I see the book for you write it? Why? Why?
- 17:40Speaker 1: Why do you want to come on her? Write another book?
- 17:45Speaker 1: He's gonna right? Why do you want to see the book? Though, Steve?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Because I write books all I been on the New
- 17:54Speaker 1: York Time best sellers. Let me help you help yourself
- 17:59Speaker 1: for your wind up? Back in there? What's good? What's
- 18:03Speaker 1: a good title for you? I have to I can't
- 18:08Speaker 1: say stuff like that. Time I have asked questions about
- 18:12Speaker 1: the book? Can say the titles? Tommy and Jacob say?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Because I can, I can ask they will be working
- 18:20Speaker 1: on he should write a book. I might kill again
- 18:22Speaker 1: about that. I think gait. I think gate j really Okay,
- 18:32Speaker 1: next question, can or thought? Yes, run all of his
- 18:40Speaker 1: dumb ass thoughts by somebody for he saying or doing Yes,
- 18:46Speaker 1: that's a question, that's just a question. I'm just an Okay,
- 18:51Speaker 1: we're with you. That's a legitimate question. That's good with you.
- 18:53Speaker 1: We're on your pay. Okay. Sex offenders have to be registered?
- 19:00Speaker 1: Is that a correct statement? I'm asked? Does he have
- 19:04Speaker 1: to be registered as a freed murderer not free from murdering?
- 19:10Speaker 1: He was acquitted of those charges. I said he was free,
- 19:14Speaker 1: but you said murderer. That's not why he's being released
- 19:18Speaker 1: from Listen to me, I'm skipping this case. But because
- 19:26Speaker 1: he went to jail for that toot, not he out,
- 19:31Speaker 1: does he have to be registered? I'm asking the question
- 19:35Speaker 1: as a freed murderer because I like knowing people. You know,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I got a partner that's out from murder and I
- 19:42Speaker 1: know that. So like when we're talking, if it turned
- 19:45Speaker 1: into an argument, I shut it down, right, Okay, push
- 19:49Speaker 1: him and I just need to know it's Look, I
- 19:53Speaker 1: got a partner being here for murder, right, So he
- 19:56Speaker 1: came home. We threw a welcome home part in everything,
- 19:59Speaker 1: and then to might have got the joking and he
- 20:01Speaker 1: got a little tight. Then I left the party immediately.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I just need to know because if you've been here
- 20:09Speaker 1: for murder, I just need no just register I have
- 20:12Speaker 1: killed before, not just let me know that. That help
- 20:15Speaker 1: me know how to talk to you. I talk different
- 20:18Speaker 1: to people who kill people. I talked to me any
- 20:22Speaker 1: kind of time. I never killed. Nobody, ain't gone kill see,
- 20:26Speaker 1: so I can go man ship your ass and nothing
- 20:29Speaker 1: will happen. You are, I ain't gotta work. He might
- 20:32Speaker 1: want to whoop me, jump on me, but we we
- 20:34Speaker 1: can do that. You're tend to kill me? Another question?
- 20:40Speaker 1: You are hear my life? As a matter of fact,
- 20:43Speaker 1: if I know you have killed, I really really try
- 20:49Speaker 1: to avoid any type or compas. Okay, that's what I
- 20:52Speaker 1: want to hear. Okay, like okay, asked Okay, like caller
- 20:56Speaker 1: and sure y'all have killed somebody? Asked me a question? Well, hypothetically,
- 21:02Speaker 1: hypothetically you'll have killed somebody. Now just ask me any questions.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Do you like these shoes? Okay? How are you doing today?
- 21:10Speaker 1: I'm not doing good at all. A matter of fact,
- 21:11Speaker 1: I'm going home. I'm sick. Why are you sick? You
- 21:14Speaker 1: want me to give you something? I have some medicine
- 21:17Speaker 1: and medicine I stand right there. Okay, yeah, go get it. Okay,
- 21:20Speaker 1: and there so you leave. I'm gone. I've been eating
- 21:24Speaker 1: a lot in Paris over here? Do you think I've
- 21:26Speaker 1: gained anyway? Do you think I look fat or anything?
- 21:30Speaker 1: I haven't seen. You're looking right at me. I'm blind.
- 21:37Speaker 1: My site went out this. I don't even know why.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I can't hear. That's how you talk to people who've killed.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Will be fast. You're listening to show? All right? Coming up?
- 21:56Speaker 1: Mr hand Will be here with our national news. We
- 21:59Speaker 1: know she's going to talk about Oreenthal's release. But before
- 22:04Speaker 1: this show that not nobody saw him o J. Remember
- 22:13Speaker 1: I want his government name used from now on because
- 22:16Speaker 1: that's what the probate courts it's gonna use. Ain't nobody
- 22:20Speaker 1: call him o J. Yesterday they call the whole damn
- 22:24Speaker 1: time he reads off the paper, you go the court,
- 22:28Speaker 1: the legal documents. Broderick goes to court. Be the court.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I've been a matter of fact, I was in federal
- 22:36Speaker 1: court this year. They use your whole name. I'm gonna
- 22:41Speaker 1: need you to just no, no, I want you to
- 22:44Speaker 1: know I was in there about time whole lot with
- 22:48Speaker 1: my way. Y'all don't know about I'm sure we will
- 22:52Speaker 1: even that's a question. All right, it's time for the nephews.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Run that, bring back what you got, nev. Curry good,
- 23:02Speaker 1: Curry good. That is different called run it right here. Hello, Hello,
- 23:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach your um, Mr. Because this Mr.
- 23:15Speaker 1: This is Benjamin Dixon. Travlor is my son. He goes
- 23:18Speaker 1: to school with your son. Now. Uh he went to
- 23:22Speaker 1: a birthday party that your son had last weekend? Am
- 23:25Speaker 1: I right? Yeah? Well listen, I understand. Listen, I have
- 23:29Speaker 1: a problem with you, Mr, because I understand that you
- 23:32Speaker 1: all are Jamaican and from Jamaica. But listen, you guys
- 23:37Speaker 1: serve the children, Curry Goat. You don't serve kids, Curry Goat.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Everybody's child doesn't eat Curry Goat. Pe what happened to
- 23:46Speaker 1: what happened to ice cream and cake and punch? That
- 23:49Speaker 1: maybe even a pizza at a birthday party for kids?
- 23:52Speaker 1: But Curry Goat, that's out the question. All you mean?
- 23:56Speaker 1: But I understand me kidding them, Curry Cord. Let's let's
- 24:02Speaker 1: see them anything but when you're talking about Bridgren, so
- 24:05Speaker 1: what when you're taking both you mean, oh you mean
- 24:09Speaker 1: you have have a problem with me, or you have
- 24:10Speaker 1: a problem with me. I got a problem. I got
- 24:13Speaker 1: a problem with any parents who decides on their own
- 24:18Speaker 1: that somebody else's child it's okay to feed them some
- 24:21Speaker 1: curry go my child, don't eat no goat. We eat chicken,
- 24:25Speaker 1: we eat steak, we eat cow. We don't eat curry goat.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yo eating a birthday a party door he means that

- 30:08Speaker 1: with you nowhere, Seth Flawing. If I swear to God approbation,
- 30:13Speaker 1: You've been right up to George and to see whatever
- 30:21Speaker 1: I tell you that about approbation from the SHIA, no
- 30:25Speaker 1: more relatives. I am on the curtain. That's not a question.
- 30:31Speaker 1: That is the statement. Coming up, miss Anne will be
- 30:39Speaker 1: here with today's headlines. We'll be back. You're listening to
- 30:43Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, coming up, miss Anne
- 30:50Speaker 1: with our national news. Of course, we'll talk about Oorenthal's
- 30:54Speaker 1: release coming up in October. And so, Steve, you have
- 30:57Speaker 1: any more questions for oorenthal Thal Jamison? Is that was Jamimes?
- 31:05Speaker 1: I thought it was James. Yeah, it's mo. When your
- 31:08Speaker 1: opprobrib where Jaj, I'm right here, I'm right here day
- 31:19Speaker 1: What did you call him? O? J? Because no disrespect, Steve.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I wrote a song and I can't rhyme or in
- 31:27Speaker 1: Thal Okay, tell you what I went through. Okay, no
- 31:33Speaker 1: way in hell out. I stayed up all night trying
- 31:36Speaker 1: to rhyme or in thal can't be done. He can't
- 31:42Speaker 1: be done. But you're trying trying do it? My song
- 31:45Speaker 1: done with j Okay, okay, what you do though? Jay?
- 31:52Speaker 1: What happened tonight to me? Oh? Yeah, what happened last night?
- 31:56Speaker 1: Oh my god, thank you? That's asking. I had a
- 31:58Speaker 1: little fire at the house, A little fire, a little
- 32:00Speaker 1: a little small fire. What happened was we were gonna
- 32:03Speaker 1: have a surprise birthday party for George Wallace, right, so
- 32:07Speaker 1: we we lift the candles on the cake. Right now,
- 32:11Speaker 1: the people across the street thought it was a small
- 32:13Speaker 1: fight inside my house because so many candles. Right, they
- 32:17Speaker 1: see this big flame. They called the fire department. So
- 32:22Speaker 1: the fire department come over there. Because it's a whole
- 32:26Speaker 1: lot of candles. I mean, I mean, it's just because
- 32:28Speaker 1: you know, he's so old, it's candles. All the candles
- 32:31Speaker 1: couldn't even fit on the camele. We got candles on
- 32:34Speaker 1: the table, candles on the wall, we got people holding candles.
- 32:43Speaker 1: So it's really bright, right, and it's a surprised birthday party.
- 32:47Speaker 1: So George. Come on, we are surprised. Some of the
- 32:49Speaker 1: people at the party, they're so old, they're so old,
- 32:53Speaker 1: we are surprised. Form had to be rushed to the hospital.
- 32:57Speaker 1: They just all the hell out the surprise. You know.
- 33:04Speaker 1: So it's his birthday today. You know, we know Georgia
- 33:09Speaker 1: that George was not at the Last Supper. He didn't
- 33:12Speaker 1: do the last supper. He did the first. There was
- 33:15Speaker 1: a supper before the last supper, which was the first one,
- 33:21Speaker 1: and before that there was a brunch. There was a
- 33:24Speaker 1: Disciples had a nice brunch. George. So the first breakfast,
- 33:32Speaker 1: he was at the first breakfast and he did a
- 33:38Speaker 1: tight ten minutes. Had a birthday. Yeah, another thing we
- 33:49Speaker 1: did find. I know I had the wrong guy last year.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I think this time I have found his real daddy.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I think I have well know when Y got Yeah,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I had a guy last year that I thought was
- 34:00Speaker 1: his real daddy, but it wouldn't real daddy. For this year,
- 34:03Speaker 1: I think we finally have found his real daddy. And
- 34:07Speaker 1: his mama has no help because she don't know who
- 34:10Speaker 1: is he James. So I came up with a run Orenthal.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Orenthal sat on the wall, or Thal. James had a
- 34:27Speaker 1: great fall police department and all the Goldman's ken gonna
- 34:33Speaker 1: be doing everything to put his ass in jail again. Great,
- 34:38Speaker 1: that's great, but you did not ramal have to you
- 34:44Speaker 1: gotta be alright. It's time let's switch gears and introduce
- 34:51Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Miss A and trill. Good morning everybody
- 34:56Speaker 1: out there. That's right. I know this is answered, but
- 34:58Speaker 1: the news the other rumors were right. O. J. Simpson
- 35:01Speaker 1: was granted bail yesterday after spending close to nine years
- 35:04Speaker 1: behind bars for the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia
- 35:07Speaker 1: dealers that he felt had stolen some of his trophies.
- 35:10Speaker 1: The hearing took over an hour. Simpson pleaded his case
- 35:12Speaker 1: for early release. He spent nine years making no excuses
- 35:16Speaker 1: about anything. I am sorry that things turned out the
- 35:20Speaker 1: way they did. His attorney, his eldest child, Arnell, and
- 35:23Speaker 1: one of his victims actually testified on his behalf. And
- 35:26Speaker 1: in the end, the spokesperson for the parole board announced
- 35:29Speaker 1: the panel's decision based on all of that, Mr Simpson,
- 35:33Speaker 1: I do vote to grant parole when eligible, and that
- 35:36Speaker 1: will conclude this herring. After that, Simpson smiled and bowed
- 35:43Speaker 1: his head. He was refused parole in both He's now
- 35:46Speaker 1: scheduled for release. In October. Federal number Crunch was predicting
- 35:50Speaker 1: that the revised GOP Sentate bill designed to repeal replaced Obamacare,
- 35:54Speaker 1: would leave some twenty two million Americas without any health
- 35:57Speaker 1: insurance in the next decade. In fact, according to the
- 36:00Speaker 1: nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, the newest version of the Republican
- 36:03Speaker 1: measure would leave just as many uninsured as the original
- 36:06Speaker 1: bill would have. So now Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is
- 36:09Speaker 1: promising to hold a vote on a newer measure, one
- 36:12Speaker 1: that simply repeals the Affordable Care Act without replacing it,
- 36:16Speaker 1: holding that vote next week, despite the fact that it
- 36:18Speaker 1: doesn't look like he's corraled enough GOP votes to pass
- 36:20Speaker 1: that one either. Doctors say now that Republican Senator John
- 36:24Speaker 1: McCain has a very aggressive and malignant form of brain cancer,
- 36:27Speaker 1: and prayers and encouraging words still coming from both sides
- 36:30Speaker 1: of the political aisle. However, Santa McCain is vowing to
- 36:33Speaker 1: return for the Senate. He's like saying, don't write me
- 36:35Speaker 1: off yet. President Trump, meanwhile, continues to break with tradition.
- 36:40Speaker 1: This time, he will reportedly not attend the annual in
- 36:42Speaker 1: double a CP convention this weekend. The legendary civil rights
- 36:45Speaker 1: organization kicks off the annual confab tomorrow in Baltimore. Ex
- 36:49Speaker 1: President's Barack Obama, George Bush, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, RONA.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Reaganey all would address the end of a CPS convention
- 36:56Speaker 1: during their presidential ten years. Stevie Wonder has jumped a
- 37:00Speaker 1: broom again. According to People Magazine, the Grammy Award winning
- 37:03Speaker 1: singer I'm arried his longtime girlfriend to Mica Robin Bracy
- 37:06Speaker 1: over the weekend. Stevie sixty seven to Mika's forty two.
- 37:09Speaker 1: She's the mother of two of Wonders nine kids. And
- 37:12Speaker 1: today is National Junk Food Day and National Invite an
- 37:15Speaker 1: Alien to Live with You Day. Some of them are
- 37:19Speaker 1: so cute. I like those antennas, the ones with air.
- 37:23Speaker 1: This has been a trip. We'll be back with Eugene
- 37:25Speaker 1: the Butterfly, speaking of the crazy things. At twenty minutes
- 37:28Speaker 1: after the hours, stay tuned to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:31Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,

- 38:36Speaker 1: is what I want everyone to do. Get with your friends.
- 38:39Speaker 1: You're very very close friends and that too. Yeah, now
- 38:49Speaker 1: you know it's boys night out and then like it's
- 38:51Speaker 1: a geniw too it's girls but I'm no, don't do that.

- 39:31Speaker 1: has been a night. You know, we're gonna have a
- 39:32Speaker 1: popcorn and stuff like that. But anyway, we're going to
- 39:34Speaker 1: the movies. Um. So here's the thing I wanted. This
- 39:37Speaker 1: is about best friends getting together taking a trip. So
- 39:40Speaker 1: I want to ask you who is the person that
- 39:43Speaker 1: has been your best friend, the loudest? Who is your
- 39:46Speaker 1: long long life friend. So we're gonna start with Jay,

- 57:05Speaker 1: down memory lane. Thank you, nephew. Subject my boyfriend wants
- 57:11Speaker 1: to be met, Shirley. It's not your turn yet, Steve.
- 57:19Speaker 1: You had a question. You had a question, Stephen Shirley.
- 57:22Speaker 1: I've been with my boyfriend for four years and I
- 57:25Speaker 1: love him so much. I'm twenty five and he is thirty.
- 57:29Speaker 1: He has promised me that one day we will get married,
- 57:32Speaker 1: but there are just a few problems that I need
- 57:34Speaker 1: to handle. First. About a year ago, he lost his
- 57:38Speaker 1: job and he took it pretty hard. The first month,
- 57:41Speaker 1: he wouldn't shower or brush his teeth. I told him
- 57:44Speaker 1: that if he didn't shower, I would bust the windows
- 57:47Speaker 1: in his car. Needless to say, he showered. I told
- 57:51Speaker 1: him that he needs to groom himself so he can
- 57:53Speaker 1: feel good about himself. Well, a week after that, I
- 57:56Speaker 1: came home and found him wearing my heels while he
- 58:00Speaker 1: was cooking dinner. When I asked him why he was
- 58:02Speaker 1: wearing my heels, he said he wanted to see how
- 58:05Speaker 1: I do it. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse,
- 58:09Speaker 1: one night, we were about to make love and he
- 58:12Speaker 1: was wearing my panties. He said that all of his
- 58:14Speaker 1: underwear was dirty. Now he's been borrowing my clothes all
- 58:19Speaker 1: of the time instead of washing his. He says that
- 58:23Speaker 1: wearing my clothes makes him feel closer to me, But
- 58:26Speaker 1: I think he wants to be me. He has dyed
- 58:30Speaker 1: his hair the same color as mine and tries to
- 58:32Speaker 1: talk like me. I love this man, but I don't
- 58:36Speaker 1: know what to do. I know, I know my hanging
- 58:43Speaker 1: in there. You don't have any questions. You don't have
- 58:46Speaker 1: any questions for him? Put it in question for yes,
- 58:51Speaker 1: I just got that. How should I handle this? She asked?
- 58:59Speaker 1: Please help? I really don't know what to tell you.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I'm I'm with Steven this one. I don't know. I
- 59:04Speaker 1: mean the grooming situation is one thing, because you you've
- 59:07Speaker 1: got to wash, You've you've got to bathe, You've got
- 59:10Speaker 1: to shower. I mean that is really a given. If
- 59:12Speaker 1: you don't, you start to stink. Come on, and you
- 59:16Speaker 1: have to brush your teeth no matter what. Really, really
- 59:20Speaker 1: you're walking around not showering or brushing your teeth. I
- 59:24Speaker 1: mean as far as wearing your clothes and dyeing his
- 59:27Speaker 1: hair like you and wanting to be you. I don't
- 59:30Speaker 1: know what's going on there. I have not huh a
- 59:36Speaker 1: question put in a question. If you could say it,
- 59:39Speaker 1: you can say it in a question for him. Uh,
- 59:42Speaker 1: there is cause for concern here. Uh if I were you, Uh,
- 59:47Speaker 1: something is going on with him? I mean the talking
- 59:50Speaker 1: like you. We've never had a situation like this in
- 59:53Speaker 1: the Strawberry letter. And you know, Steve and I are
- 59:55Speaker 1: not doctors, were not clinical people. We just try to
- 59:58Speaker 1: give you common sense answers. So the best I can
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: do is to it's to tell you I don't know
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: what to do. Take him to a doctor. I I
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: don't know. I mean, is he looking for a job,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: is he's trying to get a job, or is he
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: still out of work? Because if he were working and
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: stuff like that. It seems like he would get back
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: to himself. That's all I have for you. Have him
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: looked for a job and possibly seek some therapy of
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: some kind. Steve, you're up. I hope you have your question.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I know it's a good one, but so in controversy,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: and you don't need anymore. Just been so full of
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: controversy at I'll started when I want to see the
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: president January? Is this January for my birthday? And just
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: started all we're just halfway through the years. Dear Rodney
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Hole got mad about joke. I told I don't know
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: what that was needed. People in I just don't even
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: know where to start with this over here, I go, okay,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: you have some questions. I'm twenty five, he thirty. Yeah,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: said it was gonna get married one day. But then
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: by the year ago he lost his job. He took
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: it pretty hard. Most people take losing their job. Most
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: people go, there's a lot of reactions when you find
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: out you ain't gotta come in the mall. Yeah, and
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: it don't be that music playing either, that little music
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you're here in the background. Yeah, but that ain't get
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: fired music, all right? So he took it pretty hard.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: After the first month, he wouldn't shower or brush his teeth. Well,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: he had to go to work. Figure says, I ain't
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: gotta go gonna Well, I'm just at the house. I
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: was just going and do me with her though. Well,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: but I think, broble me is you kept coming home
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: every evening and to get worse, I ain't there right now.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: If you're missbrushing your teeth for three days, it is
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: a build up on him. They ain't smooth no more
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Roger turn crossing. You see, you told him if he didn't,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: you're gonna bust the windows in his car. Needless to say,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: he showered. I told himself he need to groom himself
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: so he can feel good about himself. One week after that,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: we got that. I came home and found him he
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: was wearing my heels while he was cooking dinner. Did
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: he just say one minute, yes, Well, let me ask
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you this question then, because I gotta put that question.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: If you came home he was wearing your shoes cooking dinner?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: What size is your shoes? I can't get my big
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: toe down in Marjorie shoes. But if he had on
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: your heels, I think that threatened to bust that window
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: out the car? Really sit? What size shoot do you
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: wear where your man can wear your damn shoe? And
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: we're gonna take it from here when we come back,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: because it might be more things going on wrong than
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: he ain't working and he got Your partis on you. Listen,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey all right, Part two of the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: If you have any issues, please email us at Steve
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Harvey dot com. We will try and help you out
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: as best we can with your relationship issues. My boyfriend
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: wants should be me. Let's remember this. The title is
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: My boyfriend wants to be me. She twenty, he thirty,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: lost his job. He starts thinking smelling up the house.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Wouldn't babe, wouldn't brush your teeth? She said, if you're
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: don'ta do something but your windows out of the car.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: So he went on that, then something he started washing again. Well,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: then told him that he needed to, you know, pick
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: itself up and groom himself so can feel good about herself. Well.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: The week after that, she came home and found him
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: wearing her heels why while he was cooking dinner. My
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: question is what size do you have where your man
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: can get his foot down and stand down and cook.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: That's my question to you. Now see the reason I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: had to ask that question is because I can't get
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: my toe in margerie shoe back in the ones that
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: come to a point. I might get my big toe
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: and the toe next to it in there, but that's it.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Then you said, then he was wearing your heels. Then
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: you thought we couldn't get worse. One night, we're about
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: to make love, and he had your pantis on. Now,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: let me tell you this right here, I ain't never
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: had my white pantis on. But if I try to
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: get him on, they probably ain't gonna get up over
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: my knees. That he didn't got your drawers up again.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: He got on your pumps and your draw Well, listen
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: to the picture that I'm trying to paint for you.
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: He got your pennies on and they fitting. He said
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: all this underwear was dirty, so he got yours on.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Now he's buying my clothes all the time instead of washing.

- 1:31:58Speaker 1: the first time I've seen my dad was over my
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: grandma's house. And after that, you know, he got in
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: his car and drove away, and I've never seen him again. Okay,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: all right, well, let me ask something, man, how do
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: you find him on faithbook? No, my cousin had sound

- 1:32:23Speaker 1: hey there, Now, you saw him when you were seventeen?
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: Did you? Did you think he was your daddy when
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: you were seventeen? Yeah, because she showed me the picture. Now, okay,
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: do you look like him on Facebook? Yes? I look
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: like him now, yeah, because they have both of y'all old. Na. Yeah,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: so you just want him to do what though? You
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: just want to know who your father is because the
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: daddy pointing is over? Yes, well daddy, and we can't
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: I can't throw you the ball when you Yeah, you
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: just want to know who your father is yes, well,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: but don't you know who your father is? There? Yes,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: I know who my father is. Now my father's died.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: Huh his father, my father is God. Here we go
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: now you wanted it? Told you now that's what I
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: want now see J specialized in this. I told you
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: something's wrong back on the last commercial break, I called this.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: But now let me ask you something do d embarrass
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: h Yeah? What do you want from your father at
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: this point? I just want him to be a good
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: father to my kids. That's all I want. I don't
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: want nothing else. But listen to me kids. Now see
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: you the daddy? Are you? Are you a good father?
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: So far? There? Yes? I am father? And and and
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: how what? How do you know how to be a
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: good father? I want to teach you something here now
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: because I did with father's boys all time. But but you,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: but you a man? What did your father show you
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: about fatherhood that you knew you would never duplicate? But
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: now that I'm a father, you know I take care
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: of my kids. I do what I do, whatever they
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: want me to do. You know, right? You because your
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: father wasn't there for you, correct exactly, so he showed
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: you what not to do. Now you have learned, through
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: the absence of your own father, how to behave with
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: your own charity. There's value in knowing what not to
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: do as much as he is is knowing what to do.

- 1:37:26Speaker 1: prayoft girl. Yeah, it's not hard. It's not hard with you.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: We're huge, huge fans of yours, Regina, And this movie
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: Girl's Trip looks like so much fun. Carl and I
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: can relate to the Girl's Trip of course with our
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: girlfriends and everything. But like in the Girls Trip movie,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: we don't get to do it as often as we'd
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: like to because of our jobs of course, in our family.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: In the movie, you and the girls get together for
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: a trip to the essence best tell us about the movie, Regina.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: Please you play Ryan in the movie? Right? Yes, I
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: play Ryan. Ryan has a she's a she's um, she's
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: a author, and she's written a book called you Can
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: Have It All. So she's kind of like this self
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: help wuru whose wife she's married to a former you know,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: huge football player in her life. Just it's like she
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: has it all. It's perfect. And then of course, you
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: know one thing that's missing is she she hasn't you know,
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: been able to hang with her girls. She goes on
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: that weekend and then a lot of stuff just comes out,
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: gets revealed, and it's kind of it's I mean it's
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: a hard art. You know, there's some there's some there's
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: some uh some bad words, yeah, bad words, and some
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: some moments that my mama blushed that. My mother looked
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: at me last night. She said, y'all are filthy in
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: this movie, and I was like a mama, but she
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: smiled too much, which which made me know she lives
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: some of those moments. So I was uncomfortable. I was like,
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: mommy exactly. But we had you know, we had so
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: much fun. Shooting in New Orleans is great and and
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: essence fast. You know, it was great, and we we
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: love getting an opportunity to show really how um you know,
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: the complexity of black women. You know, I think that's
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: kind of one dimensional portrayals where we're there or that,
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: but you know, we are I think I think uh
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: earlier today, Will said we're pious and ratchet at the
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: same time, and you know, and loving and supportive and
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: and we like to have fun too, and we'd like
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: to see it on the screen. Would you say you
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: like your character or another character in the movie, which
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: would would you say you're most like? I probably would
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: say I have a lot of similarities to to Ryan
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: at this point. But you know, there's a point where
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: you know, I've been a little bit of Dinah, not
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: a mommy yet, so um like, well how long is
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: it yet? You know what, Regina, I'm not even a
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: father either, so we can make Hey, Regina, Junr is
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: your man in his mind. Okay. I saw her at
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: and I'm talking. I was praying about myself. Nobody talked
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: to me a nut. I said that she is. She is. Well,
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: you know, we might have to make it happen, but
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: I like that, so you know. But but you know
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: what I loved watching you know, Jada as Lisa. I
- 1:40:35Speaker 1: love that all of them. I mean, there's a little
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: piece of me and all you know, that's all. Yeah.
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: And for the ladies, you know, we do have Lorens
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: and we got Kofi and yes, yes girl. What was
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: it like are you guys friends on and off? You know?
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: The movie said, what was it like to to get
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: all of you ladies together and and and put this
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: movie together and work with these talented women. Well, you know,
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: I had always been a big fan of Jada's and Latifa's,
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: you know, just from watching and I did not know
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: of before. I mean, the world's gonna know her. Now,
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: she is extraordinary in this movie, and you know, I
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: think it's gonna be the vehicle where people are going
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: to be like, wow, Tiffany Hattish is, yeah, you know
- 1:41:22Speaker 1: what she's been doing it. But I think finally the
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: platform for her to you know, for people to be like, ah,
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: there she is. And so all of them before, you know,
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: I didn't know I had met them, but I had
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: never worked with them. But now I love them. Now
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: I'm friends with them after the movie still and that
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: that yeah, that's really great because I just I respect
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: them girls too. For all Steve Harvey contests, no purchase
