- 0:21Speaker 1: ha listen to movie together for Stu. Please, Mommy, I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't join by join me, be doing me. You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you, you gotta turn the turnout. You got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water the water got me.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back. Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show. Well, I gotta tell you something everybody, and
- 2:15Speaker 1: this is great news for everybody that or share something
- 2:21Speaker 1: with your principle of becoming successful at whatever level you choose.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It can be successful in the relationship, successful in the family.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Successes may be considered to you becoming a homeowner. It
- 2:38Speaker 1: could be being dead free. Your ideal of success could
- 2:43Speaker 1: be sixty thousand a year, fifty thousand a year, one
- 2:46Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars a year. Doesn't matter if you're considering it,
- 2:52Speaker 1: if you're wanting it, if you have a desire to
- 2:54Speaker 1: become successful. I want to share with you, the very
- 2:58Speaker 1: beginning of that. If no one's ever done it, I'm
- 3:02Speaker 1: going to say the beginning of it today. See Scripture
- 3:08Speaker 1: makes it very clear for us you don't The only
- 3:13Speaker 1: thing you need to become successful is already inside of you.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It's not an external need. God wouldn't do that to you.
- 3:23Speaker 1: He puts the core basis of everything you need inside
- 3:28Speaker 1: of you. So if you discover it, if you tend
- 3:33Speaker 1: to it, nurture it, fertilize it, and water it, it grows,
- 3:39Speaker 1: it branches out. Then it reaches out externally and it
- 3:42Speaker 1: starts grabbing things outside of there to make it even bigger, stronger, better,
- 3:46Speaker 1: lasts longer. But in the very beginning, you don't need anything.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's all within you. And if you cultivate your relationship
- 3:56Speaker 1: with God, it comes out, it flourishes. Now, let me
- 4:01Speaker 1: tell you that thing that I'm talking about is a
- 4:04Speaker 1: God given gift that He has given to all of us.
- 4:07Speaker 1: We all possess it. It is all within us that
- 4:12Speaker 1: everybody has a gift. Had somebody told me what I
- 4:16Speaker 1: know now back then, I would have saved myself tons
- 4:19Speaker 1: of mistakes. I just didn't know the principles. I had
- 4:21Speaker 1: to learn them all well. One of the principles of
- 4:24Speaker 1: becoming successful is your mind set. You got to get
- 4:29Speaker 1: your mind right now. This mindset is simply a decision
- 4:35Speaker 1: that you can make. I can't get it for you.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I can tell you what to do, but you got
- 4:42Speaker 1: to make the decision. You just listening have to decide.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You know what, I'm gonna go on and get at it.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna stop wrinting. I'm gonna become a homeowner. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna stop living check
- 4:51Speaker 1: to check. I'm gonna put a budget together. I'm gonna
- 4:56Speaker 1: stop stepping out on my family. I'm gonna go home.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it together. I'm gonna stop using when
- 5:05Speaker 1: you make these decisions, that's correcting your mindset. Now. The
- 5:10Speaker 1: closer connection you have with God, the more help you
- 5:13Speaker 1: get sustaining the mindset. How many times have you started
- 5:16Speaker 1: to do something and you stopped? How many resolutions have
- 5:19Speaker 1: you made at the New Year and stop by February?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Over by me at January? Done in March. Because if
- 5:29Speaker 1: you don't have a clear connection with your creator to
- 5:32Speaker 1: help you carry out the other force out there, that
- 5:36Speaker 1: evil force is designed to get you not to reach
- 5:39Speaker 1: your goals, get you not to come to resolution with
- 5:42Speaker 1: whatever the resolutions are you made, so he can so
- 5:45Speaker 1: you can consider yourself not worthy or failure or unable
- 5:50Speaker 1: to do something. But the more things you are able
- 5:53Speaker 1: to accomplish, the greater your confidence goals grows. So we
- 5:56Speaker 1: got to get your mindset together. Your mindset is a
- 5:59Speaker 1: decision that you have to make. When you make the decision,
- 6:02Speaker 1: you can begin the process. Your mindset is also a
- 6:06Speaker 1: will of yours, a will along with the decision, a will,
- 6:12Speaker 1: a willingness to do right, a willingness to change, a
- 6:17Speaker 1: willingness to be better. It's going to then cause you
- 6:23Speaker 1: to have to make a decision to make a change
- 6:25Speaker 1: of direction. Don't go where everybody else going. You got
- 6:29Speaker 1: to go your way. Now, you can't follow the crowd.
- 6:32Speaker 1: You got to take a less travel path. You cannot
- 6:37Speaker 1: do this without changing your direction. You can't keep hanging
- 6:40Speaker 1: with the people you've been hanging with if you want
- 6:41Speaker 1: to be different because they're not. Then you have to
- 6:45Speaker 1: develop an obligation to yourself. You've got to say, you
- 6:51Speaker 1: know what for me and my family, or if you
- 6:54Speaker 1: don't have a family, for me I owe it to myself.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I have an obligation to myself to be the best
- 7:00Speaker 1: me that I can possibly be, to be the best
- 7:04Speaker 1: self that I can possibly be, to be the best father,
- 7:08Speaker 1: the best man, the best husband, the best wife, the
- 7:12Speaker 1: best mother, the best daughter, the best son, the best student,
- 7:16Speaker 1: the best employ ye, the best owner. You have an
- 7:20Speaker 1: obligation to yourself to give yourself a shot at the
- 7:24Speaker 1: best life you can. That's an obligation. You owe that
- 7:28Speaker 1: to yourself. Why would you not live the best life
- 7:31Speaker 1: that you possibly could. You have an obligation to yourself.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Why would you teat yourself like that? Why would you
- 7:38Speaker 1: take yourself and never allow yourself to see the goodness
- 7:42Speaker 1: that's already in you, to have the abundance that's been
- 7:46Speaker 1: promised to you, to go and explore all the riches
- 7:52Speaker 1: out there that's available to you. And but one of
- 7:57Speaker 1: the worst ways that you can rob yourself of the
- 8:01Speaker 1: joy of your obligation is to keep comparing yourself to
- 8:04Speaker 1: somebody else. Because guess what, Man, that ain't your life.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You ain't Jay z and Beyonce, You're You're not Oper Instead, man,
- 8:14Speaker 1: that's not who you are. Quit looking around at everybody
- 8:17Speaker 1: else that comparison of everybody else to keep you broken.
- 8:21Speaker 1: It'll keep you unhappy. You won't even be able to
- 8:24Speaker 1: be grateful for what you have because you steady talking
- 8:27Speaker 1: about what you don't have. That's not the way, man.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You have an obligation to yourself to be the best
- 8:33Speaker 1: you You can be, not the best them. You're not them.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Stop trying to be them. Be the best you. It's cool.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You got a nice little house. That's cool. You know
- 8:43Speaker 1: how many big houses is empty and feel with hate
- 8:47Speaker 1: and resentment. I'd rather have a smaller house feel with
- 8:51Speaker 1: joy in it than to go to a big house. Man.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Prince got a line in a song that says, I realized,
- 8:58Speaker 1: in its best disguise, a pretty house don't make her home. Man.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Don't you know I know how true that is? So
- 9:08Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you now. Another part of
- 9:12Speaker 1: the mindset is taking dead aim at your life's goals
- 9:18Speaker 1: and ambitions. What are they? What are your goals and
- 9:21Speaker 1: your visions? What do you see for yourself? What do
- 9:25Speaker 1: you dream about? If you knew you couldn't fail at
- 9:28Speaker 1: whatever it is you were attempting, what would you go attempting? See?
- 9:31Speaker 1: That's what we need to be after. We need to
- 9:34Speaker 1: get that. If you're sitting there thinking about it, man,
- 9:38Speaker 1: it's got to be mold to this. It is, it is.
- 9:42Speaker 1: That's the God in you crying out. That's the seed
- 9:44Speaker 1: that was planning in you. That's the gift that's in
- 9:46Speaker 1: there that's been locked away for years. It ain't too
- 9:49Speaker 1: late to open that door. Man, when is it too
- 9:51Speaker 1: late to be free? Asking Nelson Mandela when he was alive,
- 9:54Speaker 1: Nelson Mandela suffered twenty some years man, behind the wall.
- 10:00Speaker 1: When he got out, he was more powerful, more significant
- 10:09Speaker 1: than he was before he went in. Ain't ever too
- 10:12Speaker 1: late to be free. It's a mindset. It's a mindset, y'all.
- 10:17Speaker 1: It's a decision. It's a will. It's a change of direction.
- 10:22Speaker 1: It's an obligation to yourself. It's taking dead aim at
- 10:25Speaker 1: your life's visions and goals. Come on, man, you got
- 10:29Speaker 1: to get your mind wrapped around this thing. You owe
- 10:31Speaker 1: it to yourself to live the best life you can be.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Come on, man, God didn't create you to be an inmate.
- 10:37Speaker 1: What you're sitting in there? Fall now when you make
- 10:40Speaker 1: your mistaken you do your time, and you come out.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Don't let nobody fool you. Well, I got this. I
- 10:44Speaker 1: can't get a job. I guess I gotta go do
- 10:45Speaker 1: what I gotta do. Are you stupid? For real? That's
- 10:48Speaker 1: the decision you'd made. Nah man, you're gonna wind up
- 10:51Speaker 1: right back in now. Come on, man, talk to God.
- 10:54Speaker 1: God got something for you. You just gotta check in
- 10:56Speaker 1: with him. You're listening show, ladies, a gentleman, man, have
- 11:03Speaker 1: you undivided attention? Please? I need it all because partial
- 11:07Speaker 1: attention isn't good. It's not exemplary behavior, and therefore we
- 11:14Speaker 1: need it all. Okay, now that we have that, let
- 11:17Speaker 1: me tell you what's happening here. Just here to Steve
- 11:20Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. That's what it is. Good morning show.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Welcome back to Steve, Lord Colin for real? What's up?
- 11:31Speaker 1: Amy Soup Junior? Morning man? Here from you, Thomas Miles.
- 11:36Speaker 1: What's going on? Steve Harvey? How are you feeling like
- 11:41Speaker 1: a plow in the process? Yeah? Well, how was it, Steve?
- 11:49Speaker 1: You're two days off? I'm sure you were working or something.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Oh girl, please know they wasn't no two days off.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I wish from the radio, wish. Well, yes, little difficulties,
- 12:02Speaker 1: but you know everything's good. God is good. He's amazing,
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's awesome. He does incredible things for us, even things
- 12:12Speaker 1: that we're not even aware of. Man, if you believe
- 12:16Speaker 1: in him, he's always moving on your behalf. What I
- 12:21Speaker 1: did learn was on days when I may do this
- 12:24Speaker 1: for my closing remarks too, On days when it appears
- 12:29Speaker 1: as though, when it appears as though you're not having
- 12:33Speaker 1: a good day, that things are not going your way
- 12:36Speaker 1: and you feel that your weakest times, those are your
- 12:39Speaker 1: times that could potentially be your strongest times, because if
- 12:43Speaker 1: you're smart, it turns you to God and you become closer.
- 12:47Speaker 1: So in your weakness, he will become your strength. That's
- 12:52Speaker 1: what I've learned over these past two days. That was
- 12:54Speaker 1: supposed to be off. I got a lot of strength
- 12:57Speaker 1: from God, a lot of strength from me. I ain't man, man,
- 13:01Speaker 1: can you please do that for your close remark going
- 13:03Speaker 1: through that situation right now? Ah? Man, Man, Well, I
- 13:08Speaker 1: don't know if I can give you that, but I
- 13:10Speaker 1: can tell you what I went through, and you know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: help me out. I'm here, I'm fine. Yeah, everything is
- 13:17Speaker 1: beautiful and it's a way. I don't know where that
- 13:24Speaker 1: came from. Its appropriate though, I heard heard that song somewhere. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: I know Stevens group that No, it's Ray Stevens. Uh care, Okay,
- 13:42Speaker 1: who don't know who that is though? So that was
- 13:46Speaker 1: Ray Stevens, man, and I have no idea where that
- 13:49Speaker 1: came from. Some country singer Ray Stevens. And don't read
- 13:52Speaker 1: what I'm saying that because the board engineer told me
- 13:55Speaker 1: that's who it was. I don't know who that was.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It was Ray Stevens. Yeah, I knew the song, but
- 14:01Speaker 1: I didn't know who. Clueless you just heard it. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 1: but it's amazing how still pops into your heads quite
- 14:08Speaker 1: a crazy man. Welcome. I've got a huge memory. But
- 14:12Speaker 1: what you know, we'll stop popping your head. That's what
- 14:16Speaker 1: That's what I go to. Oh, I got, I'll go go.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I gotta go. Good some counseling. And see I'm turning
- 14:25Speaker 1: into you. I got stopped telling me. Oh, all right, listen,
- 14:32Speaker 1: we'll be back. Guess what time it is, Steve? You
- 14:34Speaker 1: came back just in time for your favorite segment? Asked Steve.
- 14:40Speaker 1: It's coming up at thirty two after the hour, right
- 14:42Speaker 1: after this you're listening to, all right, Steve, your favorite segment?
- 14:49Speaker 1: Asked Steve, Guess what time it is. Man, ready, it
- 14:52Speaker 1: is time for asked Steve? What you need? All right,
- 14:55Speaker 1: here we go. Here's the first question, Steve. Name something
- 14:58Speaker 1: that you were really really excited about it. I mean,
- 15:01Speaker 1: couldn't wait. Tell it came out when it came out
- 15:06Speaker 1: and didn't live up to the hype. Pink Panther, Man, worst,
- 15:15Speaker 1: damn man, Man, I want to see Pink Panther first time?
- 15:20Speaker 1: How great that move was going to? Mind? What what
- 15:22Speaker 1: am I doing in here? You know? You know, man,
- 15:26Speaker 1: it was a detective movie. It was horrible. I don't
- 15:30Speaker 1: even it was. Oh it's horrible. Peter Seller's right, I
- 15:34Speaker 1: hate every minute of that movie. That's the worst movie
- 15:38Speaker 1: I've gone to that I thought was coming out. It
- 15:41Speaker 1: was a long time ago. But it's amazing how that
- 15:43Speaker 1: popped up to because I knew exactly. Man, it's like
- 15:45Speaker 1: you or the remake? Which one? Oh no, no, not
- 15:50Speaker 1: the old one? Oh god, oh god? Tell us how
- 15:57Speaker 1: you really? All right? All right, thank you for that.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Tell me Let me think, Let me think. What is
- 16:08Speaker 1: a story that you've been waiting to share? But no
- 16:12Speaker 1: one has asked the right question? Man? So many that's
- 16:18Speaker 1: a tough one, man, because I've shared a lot of stories. Yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 1: your story, and I love telling stories too, So it's
- 16:27Speaker 1: like it excites me to tell stories because it's just
- 16:30Speaker 1: in my blood to tellsty That's how my whole career
- 16:33Speaker 1: has been Comedically. I'm not a joke writer. I'm a storyteller.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I'm I paint pictures. I got there from Richard Product.
- 16:42Speaker 1: He was such a vivid picture painter. That story, now, yeah,
- 16:47Speaker 1: I mean you know, whether you knew what he was
- 16:50Speaker 1: talking about precisely or if you had it in your
- 16:53Speaker 1: memory bank, it didn't matter, or wasn't experiencing yours. It
- 16:56Speaker 1: didn't matter his ability to paint the picture of the
- 17:00Speaker 1: wine standing in the street, that book, the numbers didn't
- 17:04Speaker 1: need paying on paper, stood in the middle of the
- 17:07Speaker 1: street directing traffic. That that that story he was telling. Man,
- 17:13Speaker 1: it's like phenomena A right, Steve. At this point, I'm
- 17:16Speaker 1: going to remind you please to keep your answers as
- 17:18Speaker 1: brief as possible. So that was his briefs. There was
- 17:24Speaker 1: a story question. Excuse me, you know, Carlo, your turn,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you're up, all right? Here you go. If you could
- 17:33Speaker 1: add ten years to your life or ten million dollars
- 17:39Speaker 1: to your bank account, come on, no, give me the
- 17:42Speaker 1: ten years, hands down, give me the ten years. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'll make that man, give me them ten years. Maybe
- 17:50Speaker 1: I should ask Tommy, which would you choose? Because I
- 17:56Speaker 1: asked that for Tommy. Right now, if you gave Tommy
- 17:59Speaker 1: ten million dollars, here, take it and fake his death
- 18:03Speaker 1: in front of you. Yeah, yeah, start over, Junior. What
- 18:09Speaker 1: you got carlor Yo? You already as I did? I did?
- 18:15Speaker 1: All right? Uh, all right, so um, you've been around
- 18:19Speaker 1: a minute, man, What is something that was way better
- 18:22Speaker 1: about fifteen years ago? Something that you just knew way better.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I need a little bit more time than that, because
- 18:28Speaker 1: I would say music. Music. Answer, still a little bit
- 18:33Speaker 1: more than fifteen and I'll tell you it was music. Yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 1: that was two thousand and four. Oh no, music was
- 18:43Speaker 1: to me in two thousand and four. I ain't know
- 18:45Speaker 1: what the hill was going. Didn't seem like a wow,
- 18:51Speaker 1: yeah yo, wow, I was moving it really it's moving really, yes, yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: it's already made. Yeah. You know. I want to remind
- 19:01Speaker 1: you surely that these questions should come along at a
- 19:04Speaker 1: lot quicker pace. All right, here we go, Steve, how
- 19:08Speaker 1: do you? How do you? How do you live? Dangerously?
- 19:11Speaker 1: You know. Is there something you do that's a little edgy, dangerous?
- 19:16Speaker 1: How do you live that way? I mean, what do
- 19:18Speaker 1: you do? Yeah, he's pretty safe. You're a pretty safe
- 19:22Speaker 1: Damn show ain't his Texas. It's not swimming none of that.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Ain't no sky. You know, you don't learn how to fly,
- 19:33Speaker 1: no plane. Probably the most interest thing I do is
- 19:38Speaker 1: I stand on the edge of a boat when he
- 19:40Speaker 1: is moving about as out there as I give it.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Boat moving, Steve is slow, but it's moving. Yeah. You're
- 19:54Speaker 1: pretty safe, though, Steve. Yeah you are? Yeah, yeah, all right,
- 19:58Speaker 1: come on, tell me you're up. Oh, okay, okay, okay.
- 20:03Speaker 1: What bogus award did you win in high school? Did
- 20:07Speaker 1: you ever win a Bogus award in high school? Yeah?
- 20:10Speaker 1: I want the most difficult. It ain't bogus. That's that's
- 20:15Speaker 1: on point. Ain't that's only one I want? Ain't nothing.
- 20:20Speaker 1: How are you difficult in high school? What were you doing?
- 20:23Speaker 1: I mean, I just I ain't get it, man, I
- 20:24Speaker 1: ain't let nobody at my school. So what you know?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Why are we in here? What what is your studying for?
- 20:30Speaker 1: I ain't learning nothing? And when are we graduating? So
- 20:35Speaker 1: I can turn the page and get on with my life,
- 20:38Speaker 1: which I went and started destroying it right away. Right
- 20:44Speaker 1: after high school. I started destroying my life personally. Oh man, no, man,
- 20:50Speaker 1: throw it up, and I'm telling my win on a towel.
- 20:57Speaker 1: But look at you now, Yeah, thank you Jesus. It
- 21:00Speaker 1: worked out. I am slowly becoming the person person I
- 21:04Speaker 1: should have been a long time ago. So damn shame.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Really all right, do we have a time for one
- 21:10Speaker 1: more quick one? Carla? Come on, all right, here we go.
- 21:12Speaker 1: What is the one thing that you always fight about
- 21:15Speaker 1: with your significant other? One thing quickly? What was it
- 21:21Speaker 1: in my backyard? What is that? Yeah? Baby baby? Why
- 21:29Speaker 1: do we have that out here? The grandkids? I don't
- 21:33Speaker 1: won't know my grandkid? All right? Coming up, more fun,
- 21:40Speaker 1: run that prank back with a nephew in the building.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening, coming up at the top
- 21:48Speaker 1: of the hour and entertainment news, some sad news. This
- 21:52Speaker 1: is really sad. Ghetto Boys member Bushwick Bill has staged
- 21:56Speaker 1: four pancreatic cancer. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah Bushwick Yeah
- 22:03Speaker 1: so we're the Ghetto Boys. Yeah yeah yeah, stage four.
- 22:12Speaker 1: So definitely put him on your prayer list. That's definitely.
- 22:16Speaker 1: But right now, the nephew is here, would run that
- 22:19Speaker 1: brank back what you got for his nap? He left?
- 22:23Speaker 1: He is draw? Did he? Now? Let's say that one
- 22:28Speaker 1: more time. He left? He is draw. I know I'm
- 22:33Speaker 1: the only one on the show that has left your
- 22:35Speaker 1: draw before. But he left, he is gives me I left.

- 24:34Speaker 1: was still kill hill. He's there right now. Let me
- 24:38Speaker 1: talk to him. Put him on the phone. Let me
- 24:40Speaker 1: talk some guards. You know, I miss im. Right now,
- 24:43Speaker 1: we're listening to you, and I rate the way you're saying.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I don't want to put this cow on the phone.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Mark if you want to keep your job at the building.
- 24:49Speaker 1: You gonna put him on the phone now, miss sir. Sorry, missus,
- 24:55Speaker 1: he's actually leaving out of the building now, he's uh
- 24:59Speaker 1: you let me, he's walk out. I shouldn't put him
- 25:02Speaker 1: on the phone. It's your problem. You got video surveilance, right,
- 25:08Speaker 1: You got video footage that everybody that comes in and
- 25:10Speaker 1: out of the building, right, Um, yes, sir, but you know,
- 25:13Speaker 1: if if nothing occurs, we I think we should have
- 25:16Speaker 1: footage that goes back at least two weeks, so we
- 25:18Speaker 1: should be able to pull some things up for you. Sir. Yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna need you to get that. And I need
- 25:23Speaker 1: to hit over to me right now. I'm at my

- 25:39Speaker 1: All right, well, let please hear me out, sir, hear
- 25:42Speaker 1: me out. I have we haven't just let someone in
- 25:45Speaker 1: someone in your unit. Buzz someone up. We didn't just
- 25:49Speaker 1: let anyone up. Now, I know you don't want to
- 25:52Speaker 1: hear it, but I'm assuming your wife buzz this guy
- 25:56Speaker 1: just turned up. We didn't do that. Shu up and
- 26:01Speaker 1: get me what I asked for and then with done. Okay, Well,
- 26:05Speaker 1: well you know you're saying I am a problem. Maybe

- 26:23Speaker 1: in my business. That you know is now. I haven't
- 26:25Speaker 1: let anybody up here. I can't stop your wife from
- 26:28Speaker 1: doing what she's doing. Do you like forgetting him what
- 26:30Speaker 1: you're thinking? It might have packing out on me and
- 26:32Speaker 1: what you should be saying to your wife. Somebody has
- 26:35Speaker 1: got to dress up all the time and always buzzing
- 26:37Speaker 1: somebody up to the room on your guard. That's what
- 26:40Speaker 1: for me, the man missus you you you know what,
- 26:46Speaker 1: I'm the only round him busting my head kids, Dawn, man,
- 26:49Speaker 1: I want be working right now to pay for that
- 26:52Speaker 1: so they job. Well, you might be handling you, but whatever, dender,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you're not. You're not handling your business at home. That's
- 26:58Speaker 1: why she keeps buzzing people. Sir, you know what what
- 27:01Speaker 1: the business. I'm an hindle. When I get home today
- 27:03Speaker 1: is shown your your wife has been Sir, you're gonna

- 28:37Speaker 1: went down there with my boy Ronnie Florida real name
- 28:40Speaker 1: Ronnie Barrett. You should call it Ronnie Florida because he
- 28:43Speaker 1: used to well anyway anyway, yeah, anyway, he did some
- 28:47Speaker 1: stuff in Florida he used to do all the time
- 28:49Speaker 1: and bring it back with him. Yeah, I got and
- 28:52Speaker 1: so we both took an insurance interest exam together and
- 28:56Speaker 1: we met to these girls down in Colombus and we

- 29:29Speaker 1: got to put the's gonna show up twice in a week.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I knew you, all right, thank you for sharing. But
- 29:35Speaker 1: don't say don't don't don't try to act like you
- 29:37Speaker 1: ain't never had no draws on two days in a row.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Please don't try to act like that. I'm not okay. Hello,
- 29:46Speaker 1: all right, listen, we'll be back coming up at the
- 29:50Speaker 1: top of the hour. Entertainment news right after that. You're listening,
- 29:59Speaker 1: all right, Some very sad news out of Houston. Ghetto
- 30:01Speaker 1: Boys founding member bush Wig Bill revealed that he is
- 30:05Speaker 1: battling stage four pancreatic cancer. He's fifty two year old
- 30:10Speaker 1: years old now. He says he was diagnosed a few
- 30:12Speaker 1: months ago but kept his condition private, telling only his
- 30:16Speaker 1: close friends and family. Bushwick says his doctors had been
- 30:20Speaker 1: concerned about a mass on his pancreas and put him
- 30:22Speaker 1: through a round of tests, but thought it was benign.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Then another test back in February confirmed it was cancerous.
- 30:29Speaker 1: He is currently undergoing chemotherapy. We are definitely definitely praying
- 30:34Speaker 1: for And man, what was that jaim Man oh Man?
- 30:41Speaker 1: That was my cut man? Yes, man, that was my
- 30:44Speaker 1: favorite Jaim oh Man home my mind, playing tricks on me,
- 30:51Speaker 1: hanging on the weekend. Man, that was my jam real,

- 31:09Speaker 1: are all from Houston, did you know? Yeah, I know, Willie,
- 31:13Speaker 1: I know, Brad Jordan. They come to the bab shop.

- 31:43Speaker 1: got yeah, Brad play Brad Geordan. Wow. We saw Willie
- 31:49Speaker 1: d at your concert, Junior and Tommy when you concert
- 31:53Speaker 1: being the Green. Well they don't sit out in the audience.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Will he come in the back? They all? Yeah. Well, anyway, again,
- 32:05Speaker 1: our prayers are definitely going up for Bushwick Bill Um
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah and other entertainment news. Michelle and Barack Obama. Remember
- 32:14Speaker 1: back Um, it was a few months ago when they
- 32:17Speaker 1: signed that big deal for uh for Netflix with Netflix.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I should say, well, they have finally unveiled the TV
- 32:23Speaker 1: shows they're producing for Netflix. In a statement, Um, Barack
- 32:29Speaker 1: Obama said, we're creating the production company Higher Ground to
- 32:34Speaker 1: harness the power of storytelling. Okay, Steve, you ought to
- 32:38Speaker 1: be able to relate to this, being a storyteller yourself, Okay.
- 32:44Speaker 1: He said. That's why we couldn't be more excited about
- 32:46Speaker 1: these projects, and they're going to be touching on issues
- 32:49Speaker 1: of race and class, democracy and civil rights and much more.
- 32:54Speaker 1: And he says, we believe each of these productions won't
- 32:56Speaker 1: just entertain, but they will educate, connect and inspire us
- 33:01Speaker 1: all And isn't that what we would expect from the
- 33:03Speaker 1: Obama anyway? Nothing the high road, yeire us? All? Yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 1: just Netflix, don't get the Trump. This is enough real life. Man.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I'm just amazed that this, you know, Man, I'm I'm
- 33:26Speaker 1: so frustrated with politics right now because man, it's it's
- 33:31Speaker 1: just it's it is. It is really really hard to watch.
- 33:36Speaker 1: And I'm like you, Shirley, you know, we're talking a
- 33:37Speaker 1: couple of days. I just took a few days off
- 33:39Speaker 1: from watching and you, oh yeah, because man, it's it's
- 33:43Speaker 1: it's the same old thing, man, even CNN, Fox is
- 33:48Speaker 1: it It's Fox is so hard to watch. But CNN
- 33:53Speaker 1: has gotten hard to watch too, man, because I'm just
- 33:57Speaker 1: watching the same old story. Is anybody trying to do
- 34:00Speaker 1: anything for the people? Good question. I don't know if
- 34:05Speaker 1: there's an answer out there. All right, Steve, we got
- 34:08Speaker 1: to move on, though, timoths Anne, ladies, and gentlemen, miss
- 34:11Speaker 1: Anne Tripp, thank you very much everybody. And yeah, well
- 34:15Speaker 1: I have to watch the news every day. I don't
- 34:16Speaker 1: get to take a break, so you know, this is
- 34:18Speaker 1: this is my job anyway, this is the end, This
- 34:21Speaker 1: is the news. The US Attorney General William Barr testify
- 34:24Speaker 1: before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday, repeatedly defending the way
- 34:27Speaker 1: he handled the Muller report, the way he summed up
- 34:30Speaker 1: its four hundred pages into just a four page note,
- 34:33Speaker 1: and while he alleged that the Mueller has since let
- 34:36Speaker 1: him know in a letter that he did not capture
- 34:37Speaker 1: the quote, context, nature, and substance of his work. However,
- 34:41Speaker 1: Barr claims to see things like this, you know, the
- 34:44Speaker 1: letters a bit snitty, and I think it was probably
- 34:46Speaker 1: written by one of his staff people. He said that
- 34:51Speaker 1: they were concerned about the way the media was playing
- 34:55Speaker 1: this well. Republican Committee chairman Lindsay Graham said that he'd
- 34:58Speaker 1: sent a letter to Robert Muller asked him if that
- 35:01Speaker 1: was in fact how he views it, but he didn't
- 35:03Speaker 1: go so far as promising to bring Mahlabahore before the
- 35:05Speaker 1: Republican dominated committee to testify. By the way, the age
- 35:09Speaker 1: was supposed to appear before the Democratic majority House Judiciary
- 35:12Speaker 1: Committee today, but William Barr says, I'm not going. Committee
- 35:16Speaker 1: Chairman Gerald Nadler says, well, testifying before Congressional Committee suitie
- 35:20Speaker 1: is not optional. Bar will be subpoenaed if he still
- 35:23Speaker 1: refuses to show, and he could face a year in
- 35:26Speaker 1: jail and a one hundred one hundred thousand dollars fine. Yeah.
- 35:31Speaker 1: The trime administration has joined a coalition of Republican led
- 35:33Speaker 1: states in an effort to get rid of Obama Care.
- 35:36Speaker 1: The group's hoping to get an appeals court to uphold
- 35:38Speaker 1: a lower court ruling in Texas that says the affordable
- 35:41Speaker 1: healthcare requirement that all Americans have insurance without a tax
- 35:45Speaker 1: penalty is unconstitutional. The government over there's still a lot
- 35:50Speaker 1: of disagreement, and they were shots fired yesterday, a lot
- 35:54Speaker 1: of street demonstrations against the government in Venezuela over activist
- 35:58Speaker 1: Juan Guido. Thoseistrations, by the way, have been asked for
- 36:01Speaker 1: by Guido, so they continue now. US passenger jets are
- 36:05Speaker 1: being ordered to fly above the fray in Venezuela at
- 36:08Speaker 1: twenty six thousand feet or higher because of the political crisis.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Some fifty nations, including the US, have acknowledged Guido as
- 36:15Speaker 1: the new president of Venezuela since January's election. In Georgia,
- 36:19Speaker 1: woman has been sent to die by lethal injection for
- 36:22Speaker 1: starving her stepdaughters to death. In the Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Six years ago, a thirty six year old Tiffany Moss
- 36:28Speaker 1: convicted of several charges including murder, cruelty the children, trying
- 36:32Speaker 1: to conceal the death of ten year old Imani Moss
- 36:34Speaker 1: by burning her body in a trash cam. Sad news
- 36:38Speaker 1: by Wave Entertainment reporter Caru Daniels, the talented Braxton family
- 36:42Speaker 1: has lost a member. Caru says that according to TMZ,
- 36:44Speaker 1: Lauren Braxton, daughter of the only Braxton brother, has died
- 36:48Speaker 1: of a heart condition. Michael Conrad Braxton as the Brackton's
- 36:51Speaker 1: sister's only male sibling, and Lauren Braxton was his child.
- 36:54Speaker 1: She was twenty four years old. Finally, Today's National Baby
- 36:58Speaker 1: Day and they're so lovely. Now back to the Steve
- 37:01Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to this day show all right.
- 37:06Speaker 1: In today's political news, when Attorney General William Barr issued
- 37:11Speaker 1: his own four page memo to Congress summarizing the conclusions
- 37:15Speaker 1: of Special Council Robert Muller's probe into Donald Trump's Russian
- 37:19Speaker 1: meddling in the twenty sixteen election. Some people complain that
- 37:23Speaker 1: Barr jumped to his own conclusions. Robert Muller wrote himself
- 37:27Speaker 1: that the summary letter the Department sent to Congress and
- 37:30Speaker 1: released to the public late in the afternoon of March
- 37:32Speaker 1: twenty fourth did not fully capture the context, nature, and
- 37:37Speaker 1: substance of this office's work and conclusions. There is now
- 37:41Speaker 1: public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation,
- 37:46Speaker 1: and this threatens to undermine a central purpose for which
- 37:49Speaker 1: the Department appointed the Special Council, to assure full public
- 37:53Speaker 1: confidence in the outcome of the investigations. I mean, they
- 37:58Speaker 1: kind of just took it and ran with it and
- 38:00Speaker 1: no collusion and then kind of closed the book on it,
- 38:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Yeah, it's that that whole
- 38:05Speaker 1: thing is disastrous. Now this guy was barred, refused to
- 38:10Speaker 1: testify in front of the Judiciary Committee. I mean, this
- 38:13Speaker 1: dude is just a Trump puppeteer, and it's it's incredible.
- 38:18Speaker 1: The guy who's the supposed to be the Attorney general
- 38:22Speaker 1: for our nation is the attorney general for the president president,
- 38:27Speaker 1: and he's care he's Trump's uh Steve personal attorney as well,
- 38:32Speaker 1: you know, instead of the attorney general. You're right, that's
- 38:36Speaker 1: just what I said, this dude is it's absolutely repulsive
- 38:41Speaker 1: what they're doing in politics now. And the sad thing
- 38:44Speaker 1: is the Republicans know that this ain't high is supposed
- 38:47Speaker 1: to go, but since he controls their position, power and money,
- 38:53Speaker 1: they're letting it all fly. We are in trouble, man,
- 38:57Speaker 1: if this guy gets in another eight years, because he's
- 39:01Speaker 1: changed a parameter for how government has done, and we
- 39:04Speaker 1: may never get back to what it's supposed to be.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Sad to here, they really, man, could damage this thing
- 39:12Speaker 1: another four years it is, and I think what we
- 39:15Speaker 1: call democracy and and and and anything right, I think
- 39:19Speaker 1: will be going out the window. And you're right. So
- 39:21Speaker 1: what do you think about Joe Biden getting in the
- 39:24Speaker 1: race then, because he's trying to undo some of the
- 39:27Speaker 1: stuff that you're talking about. Now, he that's what he says,
- 39:30Speaker 1: that's what his platform is. I'm concerned about Joe Biden
- 39:33Speaker 1: because of the reaction to Democrats. Yeah, yeah, iily, you know, man,
- 39:41Speaker 1: this is gonna seem really weird that I'm saying this
- 39:44Speaker 1: but this is what's happening. They're holding him to a
- 39:48Speaker 1: standard that the Republicans don't hold Donald Trump too. Yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 1: all right, coming up at thirty four after the hour
- 39:59Speaker 1: that can Hucky Derby is this weekend. We're gonna talk
- 40:02Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 40:06Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Steve. This Saturday, the twenty nineteen
- 40:10Speaker 1: Kentucky Derby is in Churchill Downs and Omaha Beach is
- 40:15Speaker 1: the four to one early favorite to win. Of course,
- 40:18Speaker 1: I know you know about the Kentucky Derby because guess
- 40:20Speaker 1: what you're going right as a pimp. You got your
- 40:25Speaker 1: hats together as the pimps I used to have. Yeah back, yeah,
- 40:33Speaker 1: really all right? Well, game winner is the five to one.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Second choice roaster is the six to one co third.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Obama Beach enters the three million dollars I'm sorry, Obama, Sorry,
- 40:50Speaker 1: Omaha Beach, thank you. Carla enters the three million dollars
- 40:53Speaker 1: showcase on a three race winning streak, and many are
- 40:57Speaker 1: wondering when the tradition of the women start wearing hats.
- 41:00Speaker 1: When did it start? Uh? You know, when did that
- 41:02Speaker 1: tradition start? When they to wear those hats to the
- 41:05Speaker 1: derbys Now. According to the Kentucky Derby's website, the hat
- 41:08Speaker 1: wearing tradition was started by co founder by founder Colonel
- 41:12Speaker 1: Merriwether Lewis Clark Junior. Will model the race after high
- 41:16Speaker 1: class European racing events. At races across the pond, many
- 41:20Speaker 1: women are seeing sporting hats as well. So that's where
- 41:22Speaker 1: they got it. Because I was wondering why all the time. Okay,
- 41:26Speaker 1: now say to say the reason why I do short
- 41:29Speaker 1: well because they wore them in Europe. They wore them
- 41:32Speaker 1: in Europe, so they modeled. Yeah, so they modeled the
- 41:34Speaker 1: race after them. At all these high class Europepean racing events,
- 41:39Speaker 1: the women wore hats. So the founder, Colonel Marywether Lewis Clark, said, oh,
- 41:44Speaker 1: they're doing it over there. Let's do it over here
- 41:46Speaker 1: at the race. Let's lady, I'm I'm not saying I'm
- 41:51Speaker 1: gonna be the cleanest dude at the Derby, but I'll
- 41:56Speaker 1: tell you what. I want to see a picture on
- 41:59Speaker 1: who we But you're not saying you the cold Oh no,
- 42:03Speaker 1: I ain't saying that by a long shot. Parlor. I
- 42:06Speaker 1: ain't got to weight. Since we're betting a like we

- 48:57Speaker 1: you MANI saying, man, and rap with up because I

- 54:26Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Letter. Subject he can
- 54:29Speaker 1: leave and take his son with him. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 54:33Speaker 1: My husband and I have been married for over twenty
- 54:36Speaker 1: years and we have four children, three daughters and one son.
- 54:40Speaker 1: My husband is a truck driver, so he's gone a
- 54:43Speaker 1: lot and I'm left to care for the kids. When
- 54:45Speaker 1: my husband is home, he tries to step in and
- 54:48Speaker 1: take over the father role, but we argue constantly about
- 54:51Speaker 1: disciplining the kids. My husband has been driving trucks for
- 54:55Speaker 1: ten years, and that's when I started noticing problems with
- 54:58Speaker 1: our son's behavior. I used to stay I used to
- 55:01Speaker 1: stay up at the school because of his bad attitude,
- 55:04Speaker 1: poor grades, and fighting with classmates. And at home he
- 55:08Speaker 1: was unruly too. When he was fifteen, he got so
- 55:11Speaker 1: angry with me I thought he might hit me, so
- 55:14Speaker 1: I call the police on him. My husband got upset
- 55:17Speaker 1: with me and told me that I was overreacting. Now
- 55:21Speaker 1: our son is eighteen years old and he has graduated
- 55:24Speaker 1: from high school. He does not work, and he has
- 55:26Speaker 1: been arrested for smoking marijuana in public. My husband does
- 55:30Speaker 1: not think it's a big deal, and he told me
- 55:33Speaker 1: that I need to back off of him and let
- 55:36Speaker 1: him find himself. We got in the biggest argument, and
- 55:39Speaker 1: I told him my daughters and I don't feel safe
- 55:42Speaker 1: with my son around. My husband threatened to leave me
- 55:45Speaker 1: if I keep making our son feel like he is
- 55:47Speaker 1: a problem. I told him to go ahead and leave
- 55:50Speaker 1: me and take his son with him. This has been
- 55:53Speaker 1: going on for years and I will not take it anymore. Steve,
- 55:57Speaker 1: how can I get this man to see that he
- 55:59Speaker 1: is raising a sorry man that's going to end up
- 56:01Speaker 1: in jail. Please help? Wow. Well, of one of the
- 56:07Speaker 1: worst things you know that parents can do when you
- 56:09Speaker 1: have kids is to not present a united front in
- 56:14Speaker 1: front of them. Your husband and you are supposed to
- 56:18Speaker 1: be on the same page. This is not happening in
- 56:21Speaker 1: your household, in your marriage, and you're right. Your your
- 56:25Speaker 1: son probably did start acting up because your husband is
- 56:28Speaker 1: always gone. That coupled with the fact that your husband
- 56:31Speaker 1: doesn't support you when you when with the discipline, UH,
- 56:35Speaker 1: makes for a bad acting son with an even worse attitude.
- 56:39Speaker 1: That's why he probably is up at school fighting and
- 56:43Speaker 1: being unruly at home and things like that. Well, I
- 56:46Speaker 1: say shame on your husband for letting your son be
- 56:48Speaker 1: so disrespectful to you and to his sisters. Uh. This
- 56:52Speaker 1: is a lot to be afraid of your own son
- 56:55Speaker 1: in your own home. Clearly, your husband and your son
- 56:58Speaker 1: need to spend some serious time together, and your husband
- 57:03Speaker 1: needs to let him know that in no way it's
- 57:06Speaker 1: his behavior acceptable towards you and your sister and his sisters.
- 57:12Speaker 1: I just think he should be a real father to him,
- 57:14Speaker 1: not a friend, not let him get away with this stuff.
- 57:17Speaker 1: Maybe your son can go on the road sometimes in
- 57:20Speaker 1: the truck with your husband for a while, since he's
- 57:22Speaker 1: eighteen now and not doing anything. I mean, maybe they
- 57:25Speaker 1: can figure this thing out. But right now, this is
- 57:28Speaker 1: not a good look at home, and you know you
- 57:32Speaker 1: your husband is just wrong for not supporting you. Steve,
- 57:35Speaker 1: you know what, man, thisster sletters really like. It's bad
- 57:39Speaker 1: from top to bottom. You know, this woman has been
- 57:44Speaker 1: married for over twenty years. They got four kids, three
- 57:47Speaker 1: daughters and one son. My husband is a truck driver,
- 57:51Speaker 1: so he's gone a lot. Man trying to take cares
- 57:54Speaker 1: for him. But I got it, and when my husband home,
- 57:57Speaker 1: he tried to step in and take over the father role.
- 58:00Speaker 1: But they're always arguing about the discipline and their kids.
- 58:04Speaker 1: That's because the man ain't there and you got a
- 58:08Speaker 1: certain right way that you do stuff, and now it's
- 58:11Speaker 1: at odds because he come in and he got a
- 58:13Speaker 1: different way. It's kind of tough now because he hadn't
- 58:16Speaker 1: left you at the house to handle everything. Then he
- 58:19Speaker 1: want to come home and run everything. That's a tough
- 58:24Speaker 1: one partner. I'm not gonna be able to help him
- 58:27Speaker 1: with this one right here. Can't be on this side
- 58:29Speaker 1: right here, because you leave her at home to fend
- 58:32Speaker 1: for everything. I got you making the money, but that's
- 58:35Speaker 1: all you're doing, all right. So now ten years you've
- 58:41Speaker 1: been driving this truck, and you started noticing problems with
- 58:46Speaker 1: your son's behavior because he's smelling himself. Now, this is
- 58:50Speaker 1: the age, and this is where a man gotta get
- 58:52Speaker 1: real active in these boys life and girls lives too. Though.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Now you stayed up at the school because the boy
- 58:59Speaker 1: got fun cass attitude, okay, now pole grades and fighting
- 59:04Speaker 1: with classmates. Then at home here and ruly too. When
- 59:08Speaker 1: he was fifteen, he got so angry with me, I
- 59:09Speaker 1: thought he might hit me. So you call the police. Owner,
- 59:12Speaker 1: your husband got up set, told you you was overreacting.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Not a boy eighteen years old, he didn't graduated him
- 59:17Speaker 1: high school, he ain't working, and he'd been arrested for
- 59:20Speaker 1: smoking weed in public. Not a husband. Don't think that's
- 59:23Speaker 1: a big damn deal either, And I need to back
- 59:26Speaker 1: off him and let him find himself. Let me stop
- 59:28Speaker 1: right here, right, let me let me, let me back up,
- 59:31Speaker 1: and let's talk about the back up, and let him
- 59:33Speaker 1: find himself well. Fact, while he'd been finding himself at fifteen,
- 59:38Speaker 1: he'd been in all kinds of trouble up at the school.
- 59:40Speaker 1: She stayed up at the school. The boy been in trouble,
- 59:42Speaker 1: having a bad attitude. He got pole grades, and he
- 59:45Speaker 1: fight all his classmates. You won't hurt to back off.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Let him find himself well. Now he eighteen, he didn't,
- 59:53Speaker 1: got arrested and went to jail for smoking weed. Okay,
- 59:57Speaker 1: I guess he's still looking for herself. But see the
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: older you get when you start making mistakes. Why are
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you finding yourself as some other people come find you too?
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Now then came down and arrested him, monk as Now
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: he'd been fifteen, fighting, cussing out classmates, po grades. Ain't
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: doing right. You got to stay up at the school.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: He eighteen here in jail now he hadn't graduated, He
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: ain't working. He got up in your face so bad
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: one time you had to call the police. Your husband
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: come home and says you are overreactive. You need to
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: back up and let him find himself. You see how
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: he'd been finding himself. Dog, He didn't found himself down
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: with bad grades. He didn't found himself at the principal's office.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: He didn't found himself in fightful classmate. He hadn't found
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: himself eighteen. He didn't found himself down there arrested in jail.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: He didn't found himself out of work. Right. Have you
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: ever thought that this boy ain't looking for and he
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: ain't looking for nothing? And instead of you telling the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: woman that she need to back up, dog, you need
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: to step up. Right. You didn't left this woman holding
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: the bag. And here's the perfect male answer if you
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: don't back up off him, letting find myself getting the
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: big My husband threatened to leave me if I keep
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: making our son feel like he's a problem. He is
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: a damn problem, all right now, making this little stupid
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: ass feel no kind of weight. Hang on, ass ball,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Hang on. We'll be back with part two of your
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: response coming up at eight twenty three Strawberry Letters. Subject today,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: he can leave and take his son with him. We'll
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening, let's
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters, Steve, he can leave and take
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: his son with him. And that's what it looked like,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: this going little boy fifteen. The man been driving trucks
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: for two years. She'd been at the house. Then when
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: he do come home, they get into arguments about the
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: parenting style. He don't like the way she raised in
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the family. But you truck d out for boyd. That's
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: a tough job. Good good men out of here. Good
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: men and women drive trucks. Everybody don't have these problem.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: But when you come home, you got to realize you
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: ain't been at home. Now. Now you're jumping all over
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: the system about the way she raising things and doing
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: stuff at the house. You ain't had no input for
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: ten years. Now, the boy starting to smell itself. He
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: misses daddy. He ain't got no direction. He tired of
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: being around all these women, living the house with four women.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Now he down at the school, fighting, cousing out classmates,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: getting in trouble, getting suspending. Naw, he didn't got so much.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: He didn't bucked up to the mama. She got scared
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: and called the police. She can't do nothing with this boy.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: You think the boy trying to find itself, Well, he
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: eighteen now. So he didn't found himself smoking weed with
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: some friends and he didn't got arrested for that. Now
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: he finds himself out of work, and now you think
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: that she needs to back up and let him find himself.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: You don't think it's a big deal. He's smoking weed
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: dog now and this could get somewhere else. Ain't saying
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: everybody smoke weed, leader say, but just could lead the
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: other thing. Right now? His pattern is he's getting worse.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: It's what I'm hearing in the letter. He's not getting better.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Charlie had a great suggestion. You're a truck driver, he
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: an't working. Put him in the truck taking with you.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: That's what you do. Put the boy in the truck
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: taking with you. Learn, Let him learn something, let him
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: see what his daddy do. He might just want to
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: be a truck driver. That's cool. But he eighteen. Now. Oh,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: we got into the biggest argument, and I told him
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: my daughters and I don't feel safe with my son round.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: My husband threatened to leave me if I keep making
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: our son feel like he's a problem. No, she's not
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: making your son feel like he's a problem. Your son
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: is a problem. And the woman don't know how to
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: handle the problem. But see, dog, you you so, why
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: don't you do like Shirley say and take the problem
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: with you? Since it ain't a problem, you take that,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: yeah see, you take that, remove that threat from your house,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: and put that threat in the truck and take the
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: non problem with you. You might find out he talked
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: to you crazy. Yeah see. But since you ain't home,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: you don't know. Now. My husband threatened to leave me
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: if I keep making our son feel like he's a problem.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I told him to go ahead and leave me and
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: take a son with him. This has been going on
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: for years and I will not take it anymore. Steve,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: how can I get this man to see that he
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: is raising a sorry man that's gonna end up in
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: the jail. Well, hold on, our sister, this sorry man
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: that he's raising is your son, Shirley said. Another thing
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: that was important. Y'all got to get on the same page.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: But you recognize a problem that your husband don't see
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: is a problem. He needed to put that boy in
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: that truck, take him with him, spend some time with him,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: let him help out. You know, y'all get up, pump gas,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: make him pump gas. You know, y'all get out, Make
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: him go get the food out there. That ain't even work,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: but hell, he got to do something. Let him sit
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: up in that seat and go to sleep while you
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: get in the back cab and take sleep in the bed. Oh,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: y'all go back there, lay down together. Yes, you need
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: time with your boy, man, because your boys are sorry man,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: because he ain't got no leadership from his father. Now
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you do work hard, brother, you're driving trucks. That's hard work.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: But he don't see you and your absence. He tired
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: of them girls. Man. Yeah, he acting out. It's a
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: cry out for his father. So now you you got
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: to step up. So the best way for you to do, ma'am,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I would take the approach like this, Smitty, we need
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: to talk. That's the son's name, Smitty. No, that's a husband.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Oh that's too older. Now, Smitty, we need to talk
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: about Deonte. Okay, all right, this is what I want
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: you to do. You're working, he's not. I want you
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: to take him on the road with you. That's your son.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Put your son in that cab next to you because
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: he needs you. And your son needs to be around
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: his father so he can see how hard a real
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: man works, So you got to stop arguing with your husband.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: You got to make a plea to your husband. Take
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: the argument of tone out. Now. You may not think
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: he's a problem Smitty, but he's a problem for me
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: because I can't handle him. What's her name, Dolores? Yes? Yes,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: and bidding on a sniff? Yeah, and them three girls
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: is Lexus Mercedes? Why ain't gotta be Yes? Yes, they
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: called because that's what he always wanted when he was
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: driving the truck was a call, but he got that
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: damn truck. Lexus got sadies in Porsche Deonte. And you
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: need to change your tone and get into a pleatne.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Why don't you cry? I can't do it. He too
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: strong for me, he too big for me. He don't
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: listen to me. He needs his father. We all need
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: his father. M M. But I need you to take
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: your son to help me turn him into him man,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: because we're gonna lose our boy. Yeah, we're gonna lose
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: our child. See sayin't gonna take you and your son.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: That's your son too. And that's the plea you got
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: to make. Keep it soft, cry and tell him that
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: all y'all need him. Come on, Dolores. You can do it,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: girl Smith. All right, listen A Smith. We gotta get
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: out of here. Guys, Dad, Yeah, you can close your
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey F. M. Smith.

- 1:09:19Speaker 1: gonna be rod Man, John Witherspon, Bruce Bruce on as
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: J Smoky Suarez and I'm hosting. So we got a
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: few tickets left. So we want to want people to
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: come on over and enjoy theirself, like the Jackson, get
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: your laugh phone before Mother's Day weekend, Bring your mom,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: you know, just bring somebody that you love. And we
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: gonna have a lot of fun shirls. So yes, Dollar,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: when you get to Constitution Hall, the big dude let
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: you back with the bid named Reggie. Uh huh, asking
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: about me? Ask Reggie about you to do it the
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Constitution Hall little thing. He's still over that and Reggie
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: go a long way back, Oh, a long way back. Yes, Lord,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: we're good friend. M I want to say, I want
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: to retract my statement. No, why what a mess. He's
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: a good friend. He's a good friend. He kept me
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: out of trouble when I first started coming to d
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: C with them, back when Republic Garden DC Live club
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: you in you know that we back back back back
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: in the day. You know what I'm saying. So he
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: kept me out a lot of trump because you know
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I was, you know, young, dumb, you know, naive everything,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: follow everybody around, you know, go home, Cheryl. You know,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: you know I was that person back when we was
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: doing clubs. You know when we used to do, um,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: what's the club out in green Belt? You know, we
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: used to club out there. And that was when uh
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: uh Huggy Lowdown, remember Huggy Lowdown and remember all the
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: different DC comics. That's how I met Mike Washington, who's
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: still on the road with me to this day. Um
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: going out DC. You know, Tony Wood, Yeah, Teddy carving Up, Martin,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Wanda Sykes, all of them was DC Maryland. You know,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: comics out there. So you know, we man, we long
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: time in the game. But Reggie kept me out of trouble.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: That's what I was saying. We go a long way back.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: He kept me out of a lot of trumble. So hey,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: you know, we gotta really talk about brothers and sisters.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Well okay, see, I don't know if I really want.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I just want to wait and let Joe Biden handle
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: it because Trumps is scared now he tweeting. You know,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: he's scared because Joe Biden getting endorsements and everything. You know,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: he gonna get it right, he gonna get the campaign right,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: and we just gonna let him do what he need
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: to do. I think barring them was caught. I think
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: they caught because the Mulla dude then put out his
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: letter shutt scrub. Yeah. You know when white folk write
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: stuff down, you in big, big trouble. When they write
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: down Yeah, when they write down memos and stuff, you
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: misrepresented what I said or it's on and Papa Man, Yeah,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: it's about it's about to go down. I told you, y'all,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I've been in the Republican Party for years. When they
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: gonna go white man, the white man, we just gotta
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: step aside, let the chips fall where they made, and
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: everything is going to work out. But last, but not least,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I need all black men out there to start exercise
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: and eating fruit and vestivals and get that stress off you.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: We lost John Singleton, and you know we love John Singleton.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: You know, everybody talking about boys in the hood. That's
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: the first time you heard somebody talk about gentrification. In
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: that movie. You saw a lot of young actors. But
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: my movie was Rosewood. That was mine. That yeah, And y'all, okay,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: what did y'all love about Rosewood? What y'all love about it? Tommy?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: What you love about it? Being rained bad boy? Ye? Yes, yes.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: And you know it was a combination because Rosewood was
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: a real place. But also when they were talking about
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: they had a history of burning down Black Wall Street
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: in different locations because segregation. Carla was pushing us in
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: the location. We had our own businesses, we had everything
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: our own because we were segregated. And when we would
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: grow it, they would come in and burn down over
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: some flimsy accusation. You know what I'm saying. But to
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: remember the part in Rosewood where they was trying to
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: take all that trouble over to another town and the
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: mother white dude said, now we ain't doing that over here, right.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: That's why I'm telling you. Sometimes you got to let
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: them fight each other. What is to say, the enemy
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: of my enemy is my friend. So you got to
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: let it have it, let it go down. But John
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Singleton made a lot of movie Higher Education. I learn
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: it High Learning out of the USC made that movie.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: You know. Did you know that he had directed billions
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: for Showtime? He we directed too fast, too furious. He
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: was doing mainstream stuff. Empire, you know, see John Singleton
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: got more to do an empire. Well I was gonna
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: say just small at but you know that's kind track,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, Man, listen, Tommy, you already know what
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: to do the show coming back. I think Thirsty Is
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: might be in the casket, but I'm ana wait from Carla.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: They switched it. Wait a minute, Wait a minute, I'm
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: gonna let Carla tell me yesterday. Go ahead, they renew
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: doing the Empire for season six, but just Smollett's contract.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: They didn't renew his contract and Jamal they kind of
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: wrote out the character Jamal. But then they told Jesse
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: that it's like they're to be on the show. Yeah,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: they exercised, they extended the option Steve on his contract.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: But the show is coming back. I think they trying
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: to wait out to see how the court cases. That's right, Yeah,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: that's what I think they're trying to do. And then
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Bill copy is still trying to get bail. I didn't
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: notice it was still going through the court system and everything.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: It's been a million a month, that's right. Well, that
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: that I heard somewhere. And then I heard he was
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: spending a million dollars a month on legal calls and fees. Man,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: he needed to get a public defender. Yeah, that's that's
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: what I heard. Y'all. Y'all don't know how much money.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Bill got money. He got money. Now he got he
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: got money. All right, we gotta wrap this thing up, Cheryl.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: We listen. Conversation. This was like this was like being
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: in you know, black Negro news. We just all right, listen,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. Thank you, Cheryl,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: We love you. It's Collin's Reality Update. Right after this
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: you're listening, get ready to get ready to get ready.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: It's that time. She is here. It is Call of
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Ferrol with what reality Update? All right, thank you, nephew.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Here we go. We're just gonna talk about loving hip
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: hop Atlanta. Um Shaemack. She was a DJ, she's a DJ,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: and she was there wrong. She had her friend, this
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: lady named Pooh who was actually married to him, hickste
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: his wife. He has been on an episode. I've seen him,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: his wife from back in the day. Yeah. Anyway, she
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: was mad at carly Red, so she kind of talked
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: to this girl Shay, who was actually DJ and carly
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Red's engagement party, to throw some shade and say how
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: old she was. It was just ugly. You just don'ta
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: do people like that after they hire you to be
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: at their event and then you just put him on blast.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: It was just ugly. It was ugly. So she got
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: escorted out of the party. Long story short, this is
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: what I'm want to talk to you guys about. So
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Carly Red and her man Mo they are engaged. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: So you saw this right, so terrible. Yeah, they had
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: a big engagement party and he told his fiance carly Read,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: that he had to go to Arkansas to take care
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: of some business. So he goes and then he comes
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: back and then he tells her that a woman from
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: his past basically saying that she had a baby and
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: that the possibility that the baby could be his. So
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: he said he wanted to do a DNA test and
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: you know, make sure that the baby is his. And
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: he told his fiance, listen, if this baby is mine,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: and I'm gonna do the right thing now. Meanwhile he's
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: talking to her, his fiance, and he seems being very
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: it seems that he's being very genuine and honest about
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: what happened, where he's been and what he's been doing.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: And she's upset. One reason she's upset because they're trying
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: to have a baby as well, carly Red. Yeah, and
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: then she had a miscarriage while he was gone. So
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: she's very emotional, very hurt, very upset about what he's saying.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: So when he came clean and told her everything, she
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: went off and she she went off on this man,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: and I just was like, Yeah, she was thrilled with
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: him she broke off the engagement because of she had
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: baggage from the past and men have cheated on her
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: in the past and had babies. So she looked at
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: her fiance and said it was it was over. But
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: he was straight up with it. Man, he really was Tommy.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: He was straight up. It seems like he was honest
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: and genuine. Man. He got up. He said, I will
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: not be disrespected like this. He did not. It was
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: like he did not play into that reality TV drama.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: He was not having it. He took his he was
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: taking microphone off and everything. He said, I will not
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: be disrespected like this, and I was like, I don't know,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I want But even her girls told her she was
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: kind of wrong for this. See, that's why you can't compare.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: You know, you gotta judge every single person on their
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: own marriage. You can't compare him to your bad baggage
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: from the past. You can't everybody baggage. Everybody has baggage
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: from the from the past. I was just wrong. That
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: was wrong. He was wrong for not telling her at
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: first what he was dealing with. But he said the
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: reason why he didn't bring it toward because he wanted
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: to find out more he wanted to get more information
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: that come I'll come back to her his fiance with
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: the facts to say I may possibly have a child.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: I know we're still trying to have a child, but
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: he's like, we're building something here. What are you talking
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: about over? You know? Over? Stand up? Yeah, he was
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: really a stand up guy. So I want you guys
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: to hit me up on social media at left by
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Carly Do you think Carly Red do you think she
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: was wrong for that? I do, I really do. I'm
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: just gonna say I felt that. I'm like, did you
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: really even love this man yelling at the TV? Car Yes?
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I was like, what I ain't see it, but I'm
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: gonna go with y'all and I think he wrong? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: opinion or you just well, you know, I don't know
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: how people think. Look, I understand that women have baggage
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: and memories of what hurt him before. I understand that
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: that's those are real, feeling normal. Yeah, I got Technically,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: you're not supposed to bring baggage into a new relationship. Yeah.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: You You cannot be with somebody and not think they
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: don't have some history somewhere. Now, the dude, I think
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: he did it right. Why bring this subject up and
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: you don't have proof. I may have a child some
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: where he just found out, right, and that's what And
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: let me and let me come because if I really
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: don't have a child, I ain't got to even bring
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: this mess up. Right now, this woman is insistent that
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: is mine. I got to have DNA tests, we got
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: to take paternity tests. And let's go. Yeah, what how
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: do you think I got good at this practice? Baby practice?
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: Loveless man? Yeah, I got it right there there. Yeah
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: she was. She was so out of line. Yeah, she
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: really was to hit me up at lips by Carla.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Let's talk about it socially on the Graham Twitter Facebook.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: And it is time now, mister Dave, if you could
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: bring up the got music, It's time for me to
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: introduce my partner in crime during reality update. He is
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: here with I Game of Thrones update, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: mister Steve Harvey, thank you, thank you, Colin, all of well,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: I'll come to an evening of God's Morning. In the
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: words of the last episode, you got to be monk. Hell,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: we are with the recap of Game of Thrones. I
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: don't know if my listeners out there have been following it,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: but we have just concluded last week episode number three,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: hopefully if you haven't seen it, this is what's called
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: a spot. Oh my god. The white Walkers are hell.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: They came from the tree line, the forest line. They
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: were prepared everybody and went to fell was holding ground.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: But oh they had no idea the Horde of Beast
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: that while it was a blimy ugly site. Well, the
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: lady that owns the dragons shit first off into the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: line of fire. Her men, the Colisi tribe, whoever he is,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: out of nowhere came in white walk called white which chick.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: That turned all the swords into flames and they dashed
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: off into the darkness brave men, and all you saw
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: was damn candles going out flick flickle to It wasn't
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: the last damn flickle first trap down. Do you have more?
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Have more than more to come back? You're listening? All right?
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Here we go part two of the GOT recap with
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: with your great Steven. It is music that is nod.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Have me said, are you listening, Shirley? She's not well
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: this episode because I've got to tell you if you
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: want to see it, get off the phone. In the
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: ridio right now, turn it down, because I'm telling the truth.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: I can't maintain this gothic voice tone because too many
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: black things happened in this episode. Dass was coming from
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: everywhere else, says Bard, out of the tree line. They
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: fish us. I've never seen anything like it, but I'll
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: tell you what. They came against some men who are
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: willing to put it on the line. The eunix them
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: dudes without penises. Damn damn dudes can bug man, scrap
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: it and strap it anyway. I dare say that I
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: was a wonderful fight in the front. They were battling.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: It was something to behold. I've never in my life
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: seen a fight scene last this long. For those of
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: you didn't say, Dass was buggling for sixty seven minutes. Anyway,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I've never seen a fight seeing in a movie, trailer,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: theater in there where I lasts as long as it did.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: On the third episode again, six or seven damn ministers,
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: straight down. That was blood, everything going everywhere. I said,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Oh my god, we won't have went to fail. Is falling.
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: It's falling. At first I thought they were holding. Then
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: they got past the moat, they came over the trenches.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Damn damn, Dad ask people was climbing on each other.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: You couldn't hold them off. I dare I say, I said,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: oh my god, there they're invading ever these Dad asks
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: people as everywhere they were, and then surprising to me,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: the hound killing this hound. Yeah, wall scared. I can't
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: beat them there everywhere. I give up, kid be man,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: what is your podcast? Down for something? I forgot something
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: shook into him. They saw he saw someone that he
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: was protecting being harmed, and he snapped out of it.
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: And the hound was barrio. Yeah. But when they got
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: inside the castle, I thought it was over. Little Tryan
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: was down now with his ex wife holding hands, thinking
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: it was nearly over. And Denny dad people coming through
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: the wall, I dare say, what's going on? Hell a
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: real well? But to make a long story short, oh really,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: They finally caught the raven boy under the tree. Yes,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: the Ray of the Dead Walkers was there staring at him.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: He had came to kill the raven boy. He come
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: down a little sauce swinging. Hell Aria and Ariil came
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: and slured at all that that hell broke close on glass.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: Whatever whew they were that they were falling, they were trembling,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: they were going to the ground. That's no one left. Hi.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to Steve Show.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: All right, Steve, your favorite segment, asked Steve, guess what
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: time it is? Man? Ready, it is time for ask
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: Steve Hey, what you need? All right, here we go.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Here's the first question. Steve names something that you were
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: really really excited about it, I mean, couldn't wait until
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: it came out. When it came out, aunt didn't live
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: up to the hype. Pink Panther, Pink pan Man, Man,
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: I want to see Pete Panther first time? How great
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: that movie is going to? Mind? What what am I
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: doing in here? You know? You know, man, it was
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: a detective movie. It was horrible. I don't even it
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: was Oh it was horrible. Peter Seller's right. I hate
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: every minute of that movie. That's the worst movie I've
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: gone to that I thought was coming out. It was
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: a long time ago. But it's amazing how that popped
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: up to because I knew exactly. Man, It's like which one,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, the old one? Oh god, oh god,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: tell us how you really all right, Okay, all right, Tommy,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: thank you Steve for that. Tommy, Let me think, Let
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: me think. What is a story that you've been waiting
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: to share but no one has asked the right question? Man,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: there's so many. That's a tough one, man, because I
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: shared a lot of stories. Yeah, and I love telling
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: stories too, So it's like it excites me to tell
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: stories because it's just in my blood to tell us
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: to it. That's how my whole career has been Comedically.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: I'm not a joke writer. I'm a storyteller. I'm I
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: paint pictures. I got there from Richard Pride. He was
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: such a vivid picture painter that now, yeah, I mean
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: you know, whether you knew what he was talking about
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: precisely or if you had it in your memory bank,
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: it didn't matter, or it wasn't experiencing yours. It didn't matter.
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: His ability to paint the picture of the Winos standing
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: in the street, that book the numbers didn't need peeing
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: on paper, stood in the middle of the street directing traffic.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: That that that story he was telling, man, was like phenomena.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: All right, Steve, at this point I'm to remind you
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: please to keep your answers as brief as possible. So
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: that was his brief as there was a story question.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Excuse me, Carlo, your turn, You're up all right here?
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: You got if you could add ten years to your
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: life or ten million dollars to your bank account? Come on, no,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: give me ten years, hands down, give me the ten years. Yeah,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: I'll make that man, give me them ten years. Maybe
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: I should ask Tommy, which would you choose? Because I
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: asked that for Tommy right now. If you gave Tommy
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: ten million dollars here, take it and fake his death
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: in front of him. Yeah, yeah, start over, Junior. What
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: you got? Oh Carlo, you already ask you. I did,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: and I did it, all right? All right? So, um,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: you've been around a minute, man, What is something that
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: was way better about fifteen years ago? Something that you
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: just knew way better? I would say music, Steve. All right,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: we'll be back with our last break of the day
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: and some fresh closing remarks from the one and only
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Right after this you're listening to all right, Steve,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: here we are last break of the day. What do
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: you have for us closing remarks? Let's get it. You know,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: something I've been learning y'all, and I guess I've been
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: sharing because I've been doing these morning meditations has really
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: been helpful to me, you know, so really really been
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: having a really profound effect on my life. And I
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: just don't want to share with you all because of
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: it's happening to me currently. And there's something that's happening
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: that's really really had an impact on my life. I
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: didn't know now I started doing these morning meditations, right,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: and so part of it is I got this app,
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: this Bible app. You know. Look, I ain't no preacher,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: so you can take the message from it. I'm just
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: telling you what I'm doing and how it's improved my life.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: I'm not a perfect person, so I don't even really
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: you know, kind of be really honest. I don't even
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: think I'm trying to be perfect. I'm just trying to
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: be a good person. Man. Some of the mistakes I make,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: I really don't. I don't know, man, some of the
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: mistakes I make, I ain't really you know, I don't know.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: I'm a little confused about myself sometimes it's kind of place.
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: I guess I am improving and trying to be better.
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: But I'm not making the same mistakes over and over.
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: I'm just finding out that it's it's not as easy
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: to be a great person all the time because we're humans,
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: you know, right, you know we're gonna all make mistakes,
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: and so I've definitely made my share. But I keep
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: on climbing and I keep on striving, So I guess
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: I am trying to get a lot better. So I
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: tell that back I am. But a friend of mine
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: sent me a scripture and the scripture is Psalms five, five,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: and three. But I started reading from one all the
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: way down to four and he said, hey, man, before
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: you start your day in your morning meditation, he said,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: I want you to add the scripture. So part of
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: my morning meditation is I have these like daily words
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: that I read from a gift that someone gave me
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: for my birthday. And then I have a King James
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: Bible and I have a New Living Version of the
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: Bible because I can't understand the King James version sometimes
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: while I had these two side by side. So whatever
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: script I'm reading in the King James, I also have
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: a you know, New Living Testament with modern English in it,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: so I can really get an understanding of and inside
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: one of my notes two pages one sheet of paper
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: has things that I make sure that I read off
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: every morning to thank him for, because I don't want
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: to be ungrateful. I want him to know that I'm
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: grateful for what all he's done for me. And I
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: do this every morning, whether I'm having a great morning
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: or not, whether I got some bad news the night
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: before or not, or whether somebody said the answer to
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: your question is no, you gotta try something else. I
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: read the thank you list anyway, and some of the
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: stuff on my thank you list it's stuff that someone
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: has told me know about, but I thank God for
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: it anyway, because what I've learned is I remember I've
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: often been told no a bunch of times and it
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: turned out to be a yes. So I thank him
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: even when I get some disappointing news about a request
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: that I put in, So I put in my thank
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: yous first, then my next sheet of paper that's about
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: fifty things I thank him for every day, and then
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: I have another people with about fifty so things on
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: it that I'm asking for. He said, before you read
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: that list, Steve, he said, I want you to read
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: Psalms five and three. And then it was so crazy
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: because he said, Man, since you're doing this every morning,
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: do this five and three, says Lord, in the morning,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: you hear my voice. In the morning, I pray to you,
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: and I wait for you in hope. And so when
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: he's sent me the scripture, he sent it from another version,
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: and he says after he God hears him, hears him
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: when he pray in the morning, he cries out to him.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: He waits expectedly throughout the day. And so you know,
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: I've often talked to y'all about living your life as
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: a life of expectation. That the only way to draw
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: a great life is to expect a great life. The
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: only way to think to be a great person is
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: you have to think great people thoughts. If you want
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: to be successful, you have to have successful thoughts. If
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: you have negative thoughts, you're gonna be a negative person.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: So I've often said, you know, a man is as
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: he's thinking, and you have to live your life in expectation.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: But this really clear to love for me. Man, I'm
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: giving it to y'all. Psalms too through four, And I
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: just started reading this and well it's three through four,
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: but I read two through four. It said, my King
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: and my God hear me. When I cry for help.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: I pray to you Lord. In the morning You're hear me.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: And then that morning I pray to you and I
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: wait on you in hope. That's that expectation, y'all. That
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: has changed the game for me because it's taught me
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: so many things. Man, about how my mindset should be
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: to begin the day. And even if you're not getting
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: the things on your request list, be thankful for him
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: because just because somebody told you no, that ain't necessarily
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: God telling you know. And a lot of times people
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: get off, they hustle too quick before the real blessing
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: come through just because that person said no. Maybe God
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: working on it from another angle. But as soon as
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: you hear no and you stop wanting it or hoping
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: for it, now your faith is gone. And now you
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: can't get it because God don't give you what you
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: won't He give you what you believe. So from now on,
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: when you hearing no, leave it on your list. You
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: don't know. That's that person told you know. You don't
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: know what God doing on the other side, but he
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: hear you every morning. He do here. I just want
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: y'all to know that, so try to try to script
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: your TI. Let's say, y'all have a great weekend. Drop
