- 0:00Speaker 1: If you've noticed that prices are soaring right now, it
- 0:04Speaker 1: means you're awake and you actually are like dealing with
- 0:07Speaker 1: reality in this country now. If you're the Biden administration,
- 0:10Speaker 1: you're acting like this isn't happening. We're calling it Biden
- 0:14Speaker 1: inflation because the reason why we're dealing with extreme inflation
- 0:17Speaker 1: right now is directly because of the policies of the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Biden administration. How bad is it? Just take a look
- 0:24Speaker 1: at rent in this country right now. Rent is soaring
- 0:28Speaker 1: across America. It is a twenty percent jump in one year. Now.
- 0:36Speaker 1: The very first thing that jumped with inflation and the
- 0:39Speaker 1: prices that start to rise because of Joe Biden, and
- 0:42Speaker 1: I'm going to come back to rent in a moment,
- 0:44Speaker 1: was Gasoline. Now. A quick reminder, if you're listening to
- 0:47Speaker 1: this podcast, please make sure you hit the subscriber auto
- 0:50Speaker 1: download button and tell your friends about this podcast, share
- 0:54Speaker 1: this on social media, and if you would write us
- 0:56Speaker 1: a five star review to help us as Democrats have
- 0:59Speaker 1: been attacking our podcasts recently with battery views. Now, Gasoline
- 1:03Speaker 1: was the very first signal that we had a new
- 1:06Speaker 1: policy and a new president. They came in immediately shut
- 1:09Speaker 1: down drilling, shut down the Keystone Pipeline, and made sure
- 1:12Speaker 1: that Russia got really rich really quick. They made sure
- 1:14Speaker 1: that Saudi Arabia and Iran, in Iraq and all these
- 1:18Speaker 1: other Middle Eastern countries and OPEC, we're gonna make a
- 1:20Speaker 1: ton of money because they decided to go back to
- 1:23Speaker 1: the woke policy of green and alternative energy, the same
- 1:28Speaker 1: policy we had for eight years when we had skyrocket
- 1:31Speaker 1: and gas prices, which is one of the main reasons
- 1:34Speaker 1: why Donald Trump was elected after Obama's because people were
- 1:37Speaker 1: sick and tired of paying three four five dollars a
- 1:39Speaker 1: gallon gas depending on where you live around the country.
- 1:43Speaker 1: And as soon as Joe Biden got elected first, we
- 1:46Speaker 1: immediately saw instantly gas prices going up and then heating
- 1:50Speaker 1: prices going up. Now, the heating prices didn't go up
- 1:54Speaker 1: as fast as the gas prices, but now they're exactly
- 1:57Speaker 1: where we are with gas insane. Now we have rent
- 2:01Speaker 1: that has totally gone berserk. It's called runaway inflation, and
- 2:07Speaker 1: this runaway inflation is driving rents skyword across all of
- 2:12Speaker 1: Joe Biden's America, delivering an average of a twenty average. Okay,
- 2:16Speaker 1: that means that fifty percent are above the number that
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'm about to give you, which is an average of
- 2:21Speaker 1: a twenty percent increase in the US biggest fifty cities
- 2:25Speaker 1: over the past twelve months. A new study shows, now,
- 2:28Speaker 1: why are rent price going out Because the cost of
- 2:30Speaker 1: labor and maintenance and everything else have gone through the roof,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and so we are saying that people are having to
- 2:37Speaker 1: end labor costs are going through the roof, so people
- 2:40Speaker 1: are having to raise the price of rent. You've got
- 2:44Speaker 1: an average, meaning fifty percent of the US biggest fifty
- 2:47Speaker 1: cities have an increase in rent prices of more than
- 2:50Speaker 1: twenty percent. That is unsustainable. This is a tax on
- 2:53Speaker 1: your paycheck. It goes back to what I said five
- 2:56Speaker 1: months ago. If you made fifty thousand last year, you're
- 3:00Speaker 1: making forty five thousand this year in spending power. Basically
- 3:04Speaker 1: because of the price of inflation, the price of goods
- 3:06Speaker 1: and services going up. You're making five grand less this
- 3:10Speaker 1: year than you were last year, even if you have
- 3:11Speaker 1: the same salary, because your buying power has disappeared. Well,
- 3:16Speaker 1: think about your rent going up twenty percent. It's two
- 3:20Speaker 1: hundred dollars a month for every thousand dollars that you're
- 3:23Speaker 1: spending in rent, and in half of the places it's
- 3:26Speaker 1: more than a twenty percent increase now. At the same time,
- 3:30Speaker 1: the US Census Bureau statistics show that rental vacancy rates
- 3:34Speaker 1: during the fourth quarter of twenty twenty one actually fell
- 3:38Speaker 1: five point six percent because people are trying to grab houses,
- 3:42Speaker 1: but the housing prices have gone to the roof now.
- 3:45Speaker 1: To put that in perspective, that's the lowest since nineteen
- 3:47Speaker 1: eighty four, and the world's largest economy. The rent spike
- 3:52Speaker 1: has stung wallets nowhere more than in an area in
- 3:57Speaker 1: Florida called Miami, the Mi Miami Metro area, where the
- 4:02Speaker 1: medium rent surged to an eye watering two thousand, eight
- 4:06Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. That's the median rent. That is
- 4:13Speaker 1: a forty nine point eight percent surge than the previous year.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You run an apartment last year, you're paying fifty percent
- 4:21Speaker 1: more for it this year. This is unsustainable other cities
- 4:24Speaker 1: across Florida right because people have been leaving these woke states,
- 4:28Speaker 1: getting to freedom states like Florida, leaving California, leaving New
- 4:33Speaker 1: York and New Jersey and Connecticut and all these other
- 4:35Speaker 1: woke places Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and the Sun Belt destinations
- 4:42Speaker 1: of San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin, and Memphis all saw
- 4:48Speaker 1: spikes of more than twenty five percent during the time period.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So even Memphis, Tennessee, is up twenty five percent during
- 4:57Speaker 1: the time period of the last twelve months rent. That's
- 5:00Speaker 1: how much it's gone up. Now you look at poorer cities,
- 5:03Speaker 1: Look at Vegas. Okay, look at even Orlando, Jacksonville, Memphis.
- 5:09Speaker 1: When you have a twenty five percent rent increase, think
- 5:12Speaker 1: about what that does to poor people. How is that sustainable?
- 5:18Speaker 1: The warnings, by the way, are now coming, and the
- 5:21Speaker 1: warnings are that we are teetering on the edge of
- 5:23Speaker 1: disaster because you're about to make people homeless, not because
- 5:26Speaker 1: they can't afford to rent a place in general, not
- 5:29Speaker 1: because they don't have a job, but because they can't
- 5:31Speaker 1: afford the rent as the rent is going up, because
- 5:34Speaker 1: their pay is not keeping up. You may have a job,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you may have a job where you're making decent money,
- 5:41Speaker 1: but if your rent's going up twenty five percent, you're
- 5:43Speaker 1: gonna have to move. So you're either going to have
- 5:46Speaker 1: to go to a higher crime, higher poverty area, or
- 5:50Speaker 1: even a smaller place if you can find it, but
- 5:54Speaker 1: it's unsustainable. Rent prices going up twenty five percent. If
- 6:01Speaker 1: you're a Democrat, you should really be upset about this,
- 6:04Speaker 1: because the Democratic Party says they're gonna make life easier
- 6:07Speaker 1: for you. Was your rent twenty five percent up in
- 6:10Speaker 1: the last year during any year of Trump's presidency. The
- 6:13Speaker 1: answer is no, why. Because he understood the economy and
- 6:17Speaker 1: he understood how it works. He understood that inflation is bad.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He understood that the number one way that you can
- 6:23Speaker 1: help people, the number one way that you can help
- 6:27Speaker 1: people is by making sure that you have no inflation
- 6:32Speaker 1: and by also making sure that you have affordable gas prices.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Let's go back to gas real quick, and what we
- 6:40Speaker 1: were talking about just a moment ago, with natural gas,
- 6:43Speaker 1: heating oil, petroleum products in general. When you start taking
- 6:50Speaker 1: an extra dollar a gallon out of people's paychecks, out
- 6:53Speaker 1: of their pocket when they go to fill up, that
- 6:56Speaker 1: is one of the worst things you can do for
- 6:58Speaker 1: a family living paycheck to paycheck. It's one of the
- 7:01Speaker 1: hardest things for people to figure out how to compensate
- 7:04Speaker 1: for it, how to deal with it. And then you
- 7:08Speaker 1: do that, and then you raise the rent twenty percent
- 7:10Speaker 1: or twenty five percent or fifty percent, like you are
- 7:12Speaker 1: in Miami. You can't afford to survive. You can't even
- 7:15Speaker 1: survive at this point, forget living. It's we're now in
- 7:17Speaker 1: full blown survival mode. And this is exactly what's happened
- 7:20Speaker 1: because of Biden inflation. Boston, by the way, has now
- 7:25Speaker 1: nearly overtaken San Francisco as a nation's most expensive rental market,
- 7:30Speaker 1: with a twenty seven percent increase in costs with properties
- 7:35Speaker 1: with two bedrooms. Yeah, the Biden administration has failed to
- 7:40Speaker 1: tackle high and rising inflation and now has pushed consumers
- 7:44Speaker 1: to a point where they're breaking, especially the poorest. Let's
- 7:47Speaker 1: look at New York City. Even in New York City,
- 7:50Speaker 1: as people ran away from that city because of all
- 7:52Speaker 1: their COVID measures, rent price of increased twenty two point
- 7:56Speaker 1: eight percent year over year. Los Angeles saw a bit more,
- 8:00Speaker 1: they cool down because of high crime and high poverty,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and people leaving so fast from LA because of their lockdowns.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But even in LA, fourteen percent increase year over year
- 8:10Speaker 1: in rent prices. All as prices for gasoline, use, cars,
- 8:17Speaker 1: food and other goods are continuing to skyrocket. We're not
- 8:20Speaker 1: talking about a little like three percent increases, two percent increases,
- 8:23Speaker 1: five percent increases your paycheck, And there's a very good
- 8:27Speaker 1: chance if you made fifty grand last year, your buying
- 8:29Speaker 1: power this year will be under forty thousand with these
- 8:32Speaker 1: inflationary increases. Across the fifty largest US metro areas, medium
- 8:39Speaker 1: rent rose in astonishing nineteen point three percent from December
- 8:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty December twenty twenty one. So if you take
- 8:47Speaker 1: out the top fifty cities and you go to these
- 8:50Speaker 1: you know media, you go to these other cities, you're
- 8:52Speaker 1: still looking at nineteen point three percent increase. So you
- 8:57Speaker 1: add rising rents and high inflation are moving hand in
- 9:01Speaker 1: hand to become more of the nation's top economic disaster.
- 9:03Speaker 1: It's not even a problem anymore. It's a disaster. The
- 9:07Speaker 1: Labor Department data, which covers existing rents as well as
- 9:10Speaker 1: new listings, showed much smaller increases, they said, but they said,
- 9:14Speaker 1: well they are picking up. Rental costs rose zero point
- 9:17Speaker 1: five percent in January from December, the Department said last week.
- 9:20Speaker 1: That was the biggest single increase in twenty years and
- 9:23Speaker 1: will likely accelerate even as the Biden administrations trying to downplay,
- 9:26Speaker 1: So in just one month your rent costs again. You
- 9:30Speaker 1: rent an apartment in December compared to January, you're paying
- 9:33Speaker 1: a half a percentage point more for rent to fifty
- 9:37Speaker 1: dollars increase on a thousand dollars apartment was a thousand
- 9:41Speaker 1: last one thousand and fifty next month of the eleven hundred,
- 9:47Speaker 1: biggest single increase in twenty years, and they admitted the
- 9:52Speaker 1: Labor Department admit it will likely accelerate throughout the year.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Quote without a lot of rental vacancy that landlords are
- 9:57Speaker 1: accustomed to having. That gives them some pricing power because
- 10:01Speaker 1: they're not sitting on empty units that they need to fill.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But you also have a problem with people that are
- 10:06Speaker 1: just not able to afford houses right now because too
- 10:08Speaker 1: much of their money is going to basic needs and necessities,
- 10:11Speaker 1: including putting gas in their cards. One expert said. Now
- 10:15Speaker 1: economists are worried about the impact of rent increases on
- 10:19Speaker 1: inflation because the big jumps and new leases feed into
- 10:24Speaker 1: the US Consumer Price Index, which is used to measure inflation.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Inflation right now is the point that I think most
- 10:32Speaker 1: people can't even comprehend it. Inflation jumps seven point five
- 10:37Speaker 1: percent in January from a year earlier. That's the biggest
- 10:39Speaker 1: increase in forty years, forty years, four decades now. If
- 10:46Speaker 1: you think they're going to figure out how to make
- 10:47Speaker 1: things better, they're not. Let me go back to what
- 10:52Speaker 1: was said by Kamala Harris. She has come out the
- 10:56Speaker 1: same people that shut down the Keystone Pipeline, the same
- 10:58Speaker 1: people that got rid of our energy independence. What is
- 11:01Speaker 1: allowed for prices to skyrocket, the same exact people that
- 11:06Speaker 1: made it possible for Russia to make more money than
- 11:09Speaker 1: ever before off of oil and gas, and those in
- 11:11Speaker 1: the Middle East that our enemies are now warning Americans
- 11:16Speaker 1: of higher energy costs if Russia invades Ukraine. Vice President
- 11:22Speaker 1: Kamala Harris acknowledged Americans will face higher energy costs in
- 11:26Speaker 1: the event of Russian President Vatamir Putin sending troops in Ukraine,
- 11:30Speaker 1: citing the punishing sanctions that we need to have to
- 11:34Speaker 1: prepare for it when it happens. A sentence that she
- 11:38Speaker 1: said in response to a basic question also barely made
- 11:41Speaker 1: any sense at all. I'm going to read you her
- 11:44Speaker 1: response to a question before I play it, because otherwise
- 11:46Speaker 1: you're going to be totally lost. She was asked about
- 11:50Speaker 1: what Americans can expect, and people in America are becoming
- 11:53Speaker 1: angry over energy prices. And this is her actual response,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and then I'll play it for you, she said. And again,
- 12:00Speaker 1: try to decipher what she's saying here, because it's very
- 12:03Speaker 1: hard to do. Quote. When America stands for her principles
- 12:08Speaker 1: and all of the things that we hold dear, it
- 12:10Speaker 1: requires some times for us to put ourselves out there
- 12:15Speaker 1: in a way that maybe we will incur some costs.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what so, therefore, you're gonna not have energy independence.
- 12:26Speaker 1: You're not going to open up the Keystone pipeline to
- 12:28Speaker 1: protect America. You're just going to say, incur the costs.
- 12:32Speaker 1: That's your response to rising inflation and what's happening in
- 12:35Speaker 1: Russian Ukraine. Listen as a reporter asked a question, and
- 12:39Speaker 1: this is a response from your vice president. Can you
- 12:42Speaker 1: explain to Americans what exactly will they face if this happened. Sure,
- 12:45Speaker 1: as the President talks about in his speech, we are
- 12:49Speaker 1: aware that again, when America stands for her principles and
- 12:54Speaker 1: all of the things that we hold dear, it requires
- 12:58Speaker 1: sometimes for us to ourselves out there in a way
- 13:02Speaker 1: that maybe we will incurse some cost, and in this situation,
- 13:06Speaker 1: that may relate to energy costs, for example, but we
- 13:09Speaker 1: are taking very specific and appropriate, I believe, steps to
- 13:14Speaker 1: mitigate what that cost might be if it happens. If
- 13:19Speaker 1: it happens, mitigate the costs. All right, So could you
- 13:22Speaker 1: become more energy and dependent? Could you say at this point, hey,
- 13:24Speaker 1: we need to reopen up the Keystone pipeline and we
- 13:27Speaker 1: need to fight and lower the prices to make sure
- 13:29Speaker 1: that Russia, while they're invading, isn't have a bunch of
- 13:31Speaker 1: money to do it with. Could that be part of it?
- 13:35Speaker 1: I mean, we just sent the vice president to stop
- 13:38Speaker 1: a war because apparently the president doesn't know how to
- 13:41Speaker 1: do that on his own. And the vice President is
- 13:44Speaker 1: at Munich in the security conference, and she's there and
- 13:46Speaker 1: she's going to try to stop a war, and she said,
- 13:49Speaker 1: the war in Ukraine may drive up energy costs. Here.
- 13:52Speaker 1: We have no plan to change or alter or anything
- 13:54Speaker 1: we're doing in America. You're just going to have to
- 13:56Speaker 1: deal with it. America. When America stands for her prints,
- 14:00Speaker 1: suppose and all the things that we hold dear, it
- 14:05Speaker 1: requires sometimes trust to put ourselves out there in a
- 14:09Speaker 1: way that maybe we will incurage some cost and in
- 14:12Speaker 1: this situation that may relate to energy costs. That may
- 14:16Speaker 1: relate to energy costs. All right, so let's back up
- 14:19Speaker 1: just for a second here and be clear. She is
- 14:22Speaker 1: admitting that the policy that we're having right now is
- 14:24Speaker 1: going to hurt Americans, and we have a way to
- 14:27Speaker 1: fix it or fight back, but we're deliberately not doing it,
- 14:30Speaker 1: and we're going to impose a significant fine on Americans
- 14:37Speaker 1: so that Russia can make more money because we refuse
- 14:40Speaker 1: to do the responsible thing, which is to be energy
- 14:42Speaker 1: independent right now when we actually need the price of
- 14:44Speaker 1: all to go down, not just because of inflation in
- 14:46Speaker 1: this country, but also to hurt Russia. Russia is able
- 14:51Speaker 1: to do what they're doing right now because they're making
- 14:53Speaker 1: record dollars off of their gas. Remember we allowed him
- 14:56Speaker 1: to have a pipeline going to Europe and while when
- 14:59Speaker 1: we shut down our pipeline. Now, that's the same woman
- 15:03Speaker 1: that wants you to believe that we're gonna have, you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: imposed significant and unprecedented sanctions on Russia, which I don't believe,
- 15:12Speaker 1: and you are going to pay for it. We're not
- 15:14Speaker 1: going to change our policy to make the Russians pay no, no, no, no, no,
- 15:18Speaker 1: You're gonna pay for Russia's actions in Ukraine. You as Americans,
- 15:23Speaker 1: are gonna pay for this. Now. To be clear, I
- 15:26Speaker 1: understand America making sacrifices, and sometimes we spend money to
- 15:30Speaker 1: protect ourselves in the world, right in an act of war,
- 15:34Speaker 1: if we have to buy airplanes and missiles and AMMO
- 15:37Speaker 1: and guns and train to military and build up and
- 15:39Speaker 1: all those things. After nine to eleven, I understand incurring
- 15:42Speaker 1: that expense. We're not going to war with anybody. Russia's
- 15:47Speaker 1: going to war with Ukraine, and we're going to be
- 15:49Speaker 1: punished financially because we refuse to do the responsible thing
- 15:54Speaker 1: and become energy independent. They refused to admit they've made
- 15:57Speaker 1: a mistake. It would be easy for this admitrustration to
- 16:00Speaker 1: come out, and it would be easy for this administration
- 16:03Speaker 1: to say, we've got to change things right. We have to,
- 16:06Speaker 1: We've got to do things differently here. We're gonna we're
- 16:09Speaker 1: gonna make sure that we don't allow them to make
- 16:12Speaker 1: a lot of money off of us because of our
- 16:16Speaker 1: policy decisions. We could do that. We could have that conversation,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you know, even Politico and the and the woke people
- 16:24Speaker 1: on ABC this week they were having a conversation about Biden,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and they are now having to admit what I've been
- 16:30Speaker 1: telling you and what the American people are feeling like.
- 16:33Speaker 1: They're having to admit that when Biden said inflation was temporary,
- 16:37Speaker 1: it's not, and it's only gotten worse since he said it.
- 16:39Speaker 1: As you know, Democrats, a lot of them have been
- 16:41Speaker 1: frustrated with, you know, President Biden going out there and
- 16:44Speaker 1: saying inflation is quote transitory, like it's just temporary, it's
- 16:47Speaker 1: going to go away, and it's been months now, it's
- 16:49Speaker 1: only gotten worse. You know, there was an interview, you know,
- 16:52Speaker 1: just a few days ago where he attacked Lester Holt,
- 16:54Speaker 1: calling him a wise guy. If we're just asking questions
- 16:57Speaker 1: that American voters, whether they be Democrats, independence or publicans,
- 17:00Speaker 1: are asking, is what are you going to do about inflation?
- 17:03Speaker 1: And so he does have to do things for frontliners
- 17:05Speaker 1: who are up in twenty twenty two and who are
- 17:07Speaker 1: saying we need to tout our accomplishments like infrastructure, what
- 17:10Speaker 1: we've done so far with the pandemic. But he's really
- 17:13Speaker 1: got to be careful not to sound tone deaf like
- 17:15Speaker 1: he has for the past several months when it comes
- 17:17Speaker 1: to this inflation issue. But you know the music, I
- 17:20Speaker 1: love this tone debt. He is absolutely tone debt. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: don't think he cares, or maybe he doesn't even know.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You want to compare it to Donald Trump. Representative Jason Smith,
- 17:31Speaker 1: but it this way when he was asked about inflation.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Right now, Democrats have been focused on their partisan agenda
- 17:38Speaker 1: while the check engine light of the Biden economy has
- 17:40Speaker 1: been on and flashing bright. Inflation rose faster and Joe
- 17:45Speaker 1: Biden's first year in office than President Trump's entire first term.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Democrats first denied inflation existed. You denied today and said
- 17:55Speaker 1: that it's only temporary in some cases, and then dismissed
- 17:58Speaker 1: it as transitor. Even members of this committee like you,
- 18:02Speaker 1: mister Chairman, said panicking over inflation was uninformed and mistided.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Economist warned for months of the impact that reckless government
- 18:12Speaker 1: spending would have on inflation. What did Democrats do they
- 18:15Speaker 1: spend two trillion dollars in the President's bell out bill.
- 18:19Speaker 1: He's right, it's a member of Congress saying this, but
- 18:23Speaker 1: this is the present. It's like, oh, it's gonna be fine.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And I think it's because he doesn't care. I really
- 18:28Speaker 1: do you know. Senator Warren, by the way, is trying
- 18:31Speaker 1: to do a Jedi mind trek on you right now.
- 18:33Speaker 1: She actually said that this is not the policy fault
- 18:37Speaker 1: of the Biden administration, even though everybody now is clearly
- 18:40Speaker 1: admitting that it is. She actually slammed companies for raising
- 18:44Speaker 1: prices and saying, well, we shouldn't let them quote hide
- 18:46Speaker 1: behind inflation, acting like inflation isn't real. Now, either she's
- 18:51Speaker 1: willfully ignorant or totally incompetent, or flat out stupid, or
- 18:57Speaker 1: she's just a liar. Because Democrats somehow believe that they
- 19:00Speaker 1: can always turn the hard working people that create things
- 19:04Speaker 1: and create companies and the bad guys. Every time they
- 19:06Speaker 1: need to dunk on somebody to get out of jail,
- 19:09Speaker 1: they're like, well, let's just blame big business or big
- 19:11Speaker 1: tech or big industry or whatever it is, right, let's
- 19:15Speaker 1: just blame them all. And I guess this is what
- 19:18Speaker 1: they're going to run on. Well, this is really the
- 19:20Speaker 1: problem of the private sector because they're hiding behind a
- 19:24Speaker 1: little bit of inflation. How much is it. It's more
- 19:26Speaker 1: inflation than we've seen in the last forty years. I
- 19:29Speaker 1: turned forty this year. In my entire lifetime, we've never
- 19:33Speaker 1: seen inflation like we've seen it right now, seven point
- 19:36Speaker 1: five percent inflation the last year alone. And what did
- 19:39Speaker 1: Senator Warren say, Well, it's really the companies that are
- 19:42Speaker 1: raising the prices. We shouldn't let them hide behind inflation,
- 19:46Speaker 1: which is just not true. Now, you might think inflation
- 19:51Speaker 1: would also be bad for companies, after all, an increase
- 19:54Speaker 1: in the cost of doing business would likely eat into
- 19:57Speaker 1: a company's bottom line, but this is not happening. In fact,
- 20:01Speaker 1: the CEOs of some of the biggest companies have been
- 20:05Speaker 1: bragging to their investors that inflation has created a terrific
- 20:09Speaker 1: opportunity for them to boost profits. Take the grocery chain Kroger.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Kroger has seen its business boom during the pandemic, with
- 20:20Speaker 1: its stock price rising nearly forty percent over the past year.
- 20:24Speaker 1: By the way, you want to know why, and this
- 20:26Speaker 1: is the part that really irks me. Kroger's profits have
- 20:31Speaker 1: gone up and their stock has quote boom because people
- 20:35Speaker 1: can't afford to go out and drive around and eat out.
- 20:38Speaker 1: People are going the grocery store and they're having to
- 20:41Speaker 1: pay premium for the food they're getting and the prices
- 20:43Speaker 1: of meat and all these things have gone up, and
- 20:45Speaker 1: so they've been able to make more money because they
- 20:47Speaker 1: have more people shopping now than they had before, Fewer
- 20:49Speaker 1: people going out, which means you're eating home more, which
- 20:52Speaker 1: means you need more food at home to cook. It's
- 20:54Speaker 1: not hard to figure this out. But no, no no, no,
- 20:56Speaker 1: its Witheth Warren wants you to hate Kroger. Kroger CEO
- 21:00Speaker 1: recently told investors that, quote a little bit of inflation
- 21:04Speaker 1: is always good in our business end quote. It is
- 21:09Speaker 1: because when the price of goods go up and people
- 21:11Speaker 1: stop going out to eat, they buy more food at
- 21:13Speaker 1: the grocery store to cook at home. If you've ever
- 21:17Speaker 1: taken any lesson in economics and Elizabeth Warren, I have
- 21:20Speaker 1: a feeling, is not this dumb? She would know that.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That is why he's saying inflation is good for our business.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Kroger's business, any grocery stores business is going to be
- 21:30Speaker 1: better when inflation is going up because that means that
- 21:33Speaker 1: people are staying home more, they're doing more things from home.
- 21:37Speaker 1: So any business that makes money from people staying home
- 21:41Speaker 1: during inflation, that it's going to increase their profits because
- 21:45Speaker 1: they have more customers buying more stuff because they're not
- 21:49Speaker 1: going out. So, doctor Bouchet, would you agree that it's
- 21:52Speaker 1: easier for companies like Kroger to raise prices in an
- 21:56Speaker 1: inflationary environment because consumers are general really aware that prices
- 22:01Speaker 1: are going up, and that lets companies hide behind inflation
- 22:06Speaker 1: to expand their profits. This is the this is your expert.
- 22:10Speaker 1: This is the woman that's supposed to be fighting inflation
- 22:12Speaker 1: who doesn't understand how inflation is good for a grocery
- 22:16Speaker 1: store because it changes the buying patterns of Americans the
- 22:20Speaker 1: way that I just described it. Now, She's also not
- 22:23Speaker 1: stopping there. She's going after Elon Musk, saying, what's you know?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Elon Musk is Tesla CEO. He didn't pay any taxes.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Not true, by the way, Elon Musk has a multi
- 22:34Speaker 1: billion dollar anticipated tax bill for twenty twenty one. But
- 22:40Speaker 1: she's angry because she's claiming he paid zero taxes. Take
- 22:44Speaker 1: a listen to part of this conversation from Fox on
- 22:47Speaker 1: this issue. War rages on between the white man and
- 22:49Speaker 1: the Native American. Elon Musk now firing back a Cherokee
- 22:53Speaker 1: princess Elizabeth Warren over her calls to seize his wompum.
- 22:57Speaker 1: It started Monday when the Massachusetts Democrat tweeted, quote, let's
- 23:03Speaker 1: change the rim tax code so the Person of the
- 23:06Speaker 1: Year will actually pay taxes and stop stop freeloading off
- 23:10Speaker 1: everyone else. Yesterday Musk replied, please don't call the manager
- 23:15Speaker 1: on me. Senator Karen adding if you opened your eyes
- 23:19Speaker 1: for two seconds, you would realize I will pay more
- 23:21Speaker 1: taxes than any American in history this year. So is
- 23:26Speaker 1: taking more of Elon Musk's money and putting it in
- 23:29Speaker 1: the hands of government Bureaucrat's the answer to America's problems.
- 23:32Speaker 1: The answer is, of course, if you're a Democrat. Yes.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But when Tesla's CEO fires back at Elizabeth Warren who
- 23:39Speaker 1: claimed that he paid zero taxes in two thousand and eighteen,
- 23:41Speaker 1: and he says, no, no no, no, I'm gonna pay more
- 23:43Speaker 1: taxes than any of the American in history, she said.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Warren said on Sunday, Elon Musk in two thousan eighteen,
- 23:49Speaker 1: we've actually seen your tax returns. Do you know how
- 23:51Speaker 1: much he paid in taxes one of the richest people
- 23:53Speaker 1: in the world. Zero, she goes, Musk paid no federal
- 23:56Speaker 1: income tax in two thousand and eighteen, Musk reportedly lives
- 23:59Speaker 1: off loans he takes from Tessela's shares that he owns
- 24:02Speaker 1: through stock options. Must responded to a Twitter post that
- 24:07Speaker 1: quoted part of Warren's claim, but admitted the reference to
- 24:10Speaker 1: twenty eighteen. You know how much Eli Munths paid in
- 24:12Speaker 1: taxes one of the richest people in the world. Zero
- 24:15Speaker 1: is what she wrote. We'll visit i RS next time
- 24:18Speaker 1: I'm in DC. Just say hi, since I paid the
- 24:20Speaker 1: most taxes ever in history for an individual last year.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Must replied, maybe I can have a cookie or something.
- 24:26Speaker 1: But Senator Warren's got to keep pushing this narrative out
- 24:29Speaker 1: there that it's all the problem of the rich people.
- 24:33Speaker 1: That's the problem. For twenty twenty one, must said he
- 24:36Speaker 1: anticipated spending more in taxes than some countries make in
- 24:40Speaker 1: a year. He will pay over eleven billion dollars eleven
- 24:46Speaker 1: billion dollars, Bloomberg News is reporting, and he could face
- 24:52Speaker 1: a bill of more than ten billion if he exercises
- 24:56Speaker 1: stock options as well this year. Bloomberg News or that
- 25:00Speaker 1: the sum could be the largest individual payment to the
- 25:03Speaker 1: IRS and history of the IRS. Oh, but Elizabeth Warren
- 25:08Speaker 1: wants you to believe the Elon must an evil rich
- 25:10Speaker 1: person and it's his fault in Kroger's fault that the
- 25:13Speaker 1: prices of goods are going up. Can't be their fault. No, no, no, no, no,
- 25:17Speaker 1: can't be Nasdac, by the way, recently publish a report
- 25:22Speaker 1: that listed countries with a projected lowest gross domestic product
- 25:25Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one. Guess what he's going to pay
- 25:30Speaker 1: more in taxes than the GDP in South Sudan, Somalia, Mozambique.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Mozambique's projected GDP as thirteen point nine six billion in
- 25:45Speaker 1: twenty twenty one. Musk said, stop projecting, He wrote in response,
- 25:51Speaker 1: linking to a twenty nineteen opinion piece from political consultant
- 25:54Speaker 1: Bradley Blackman, which classifies Warren as a fraud following her
- 25:58Speaker 1: claims of Native American history. Just reminding her of how
- 26:02Speaker 1: full of crap she actually is. Now, I go back
- 26:06Speaker 1: to the point I was saying a moment ago about
- 26:08Speaker 1: Biden inflation. This is a disaster. One of the best
- 26:12Speaker 1: headlines was this Biden inflation. Consumer prices surged seven percent
- 26:18Speaker 1: worse since nineteen eighty two. US inflation out of control
- 26:24Speaker 1: of the highest level in nearly forty years in December,
- 26:26Speaker 1: underscoring the high and rising inflation that has been the
- 26:29Speaker 1: hallmark of the first year of Joe Biden's presidency. The
- 26:33Speaker 1: hallmark folks like, this is everything, This is where we
- 26:37Speaker 1: are in inflation, it's everything. You can try to screw
- 26:42Speaker 1: with us right now. Biden's economic advisor even was so stupid.
- 26:47Speaker 1: She at a forum two days ago said this about inflation,
- 26:52Speaker 1: think more about that. But we know that we need
- 26:55Speaker 1: to get inflation under control. There was no question about it.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I think that the number one way the president needs
- 27:01Speaker 1: to be focused on, and we all need to be
- 27:03Speaker 1: focused on, is getting this pandemic under control. Because this
- 27:06Speaker 1: is all driven by the pandemic. Oh, yes, gotta be
- 27:09Speaker 1: the pandemic. Can't be lack of energy independence, No, no no,
- 27:12Speaker 1: let's blame it all on COVID. It's amazing how we
- 27:14Speaker 1: just got full circle. Right, So it's not. And then,
- 27:17Speaker 1: and here's my question to the left, So is it
- 27:19Speaker 1: Elizabeth Warren slamming companies for raising prices? Is it corporate
- 27:22Speaker 1: America and greed? Because Biden's economic advisor just contradicted her
- 27:27Speaker 1: saying no, no, this is all driven by the pandemic.
- 27:29Speaker 1: And remember you can always go back right and just
- 27:33Speaker 1: blame everything on COVID. Now, did COVID shut down the
- 27:36Speaker 1: Keystone pipeline, No it didn't. COVID did not shut down
- 27:43Speaker 1: the Keystone pipeline. Did COVID stop the drilling off shore?
- 27:46Speaker 1: No it didn't the least thing of off shore drilling.
- 27:49Speaker 1: No it didn't. So COVID didn't do that. Here's my
- 27:53Speaker 1: other question. Why is inflation not what it is in
- 27:56Speaker 1: other countries compared to America right now? If everybody dealt
- 27:59Speaker 1: with a pandemic. You know, Democrats have no idea how
- 28:05Speaker 1: to answer these questions. I'll give you an example. Democrat
- 28:10Speaker 1: Representative Clark was asked about inflation and her response was,
- 28:15Speaker 1: and this is a real response, is not Saturday Night Live.
- 28:18Speaker 1: She decided to talk about a woman getting her home
- 28:21Speaker 1: weatherized through the American Rescue Plan. So you paid for
- 28:26Speaker 1: some woman's home to get winter weatherized, winterise right sealed up.
- 28:31Speaker 1: You paid for that listend. So so back to the
- 28:34Speaker 1: initial question, do your constituents feel that any progress is
- 28:38Speaker 1: being made to address these really significant issues like rising inflation.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Let me tell you about a woman that I met
- 28:47Speaker 1: just a few days ago named Susan who, through the
- 28:50Speaker 1: American Rescue Plan had her house weatherized and this was
- 28:55Speaker 1: critical to her reducing her energy costs. She is all,
- 29:00Speaker 1: I mean, right there, any decent reporter would jump in
- 29:04Speaker 1: and go, I'm sorry, I'm not gonna let this like.
- 29:07Speaker 1: There's millions of Americans that are watching right now, and
- 29:10Speaker 1: you're gonna tell me that the American Rescue Act helped
- 29:13Speaker 1: a woman get her home weatherizes through the American Rescue
- 29:17Speaker 1: Plan and so her heating costs her down. So don't
- 29:19Speaker 1: worry about inflation. That's your response. That's the story you're
- 29:24Speaker 1: gonna say, is a member of Congress, as a Democrat
- 29:27Speaker 1: Representative Clark, who is supposed to be looking at for
- 29:30Speaker 1: the people, This is the best answer you've got right now.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Be saving fifty dollars each and every month because of
- 29:38Speaker 1: this weatherization. By the way, all right, let's just take
- 29:41Speaker 1: her number at face value. This woman she's talking about
- 29:44Speaker 1: who was able to weatherize her house for the American
- 29:46Speaker 1: Rescue Plan is same fifty dollars a month on her
- 29:48Speaker 1: costs for heating and AC and everything else. If her
- 29:53Speaker 1: rent went up twenty percent average, maybe even thirty percent,
- 29:57Speaker 1: depending where she lives. Or forty percent, depending on where
- 29:59Speaker 1: she lives. Does the fifty dollars fix the problem? Because
- 30:03Speaker 1: that's what you're implying, is that you guys have figured
- 30:05Speaker 1: this out through weatherization of homes. If she goes to
- 30:08Speaker 1: the grocery store and she can't afford groceries, does it
- 30:11Speaker 1: matter if she saved fifty dollars at home on weatherizing
- 30:15Speaker 1: your house? This is your answer. This is how out
- 30:18Speaker 1: of touch the Biden team and all the congress and
- 30:21Speaker 1: centers are around them. Well, there's a woman that weatherized
- 30:23Speaker 1: your house and say fifty dollars a month, So that
- 30:25Speaker 1: should fix all your problems. That is exactly the work
- 30:29Speaker 1: that we're doing. Let's put the American family and the
- 30:32Speaker 1: challenges they're facing front and center. That is the challenge
- 30:39Speaker 1: that we're tackling. Okay, I'm glad to know that this
- 30:43Speaker 1: is what I can expect from you. Weatherize your house, folks,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and that's it. Just weatherize your house. This is why
- 30:54Speaker 1: these elections coming up are going to be so important.
- 30:58Speaker 1: This is why all make sure you download or podcasts
