- 1:58Speaker 1: on your thing, huh, I shore will good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I wanted only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 1: I'll do man, God is good. Hey today, I just
- 2:15Speaker 1: want to get right to it because this has really
- 2:17Speaker 1: been pressing me. I woke up and this was on
- 2:21Speaker 1: my mind, and I wanted to share it with you
- 2:23Speaker 1: because I know this for a fact. See I've lived
- 2:29Speaker 1: this for a fact. And you know the majority of
- 2:33Speaker 1: things I talk about in the morning before we get
- 2:37Speaker 1: started with the regular show, it's something that I've experienced.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I can only tell you what I know. And so
- 2:44Speaker 1: I really really understood why God has had my life
- 2:49Speaker 1: go the way that is gone, because if I didn't
- 2:52Speaker 1: have all these tests in my life, I didn't have
- 2:55Speaker 1: all these tests that I passed, all these tests that
- 2:59Speaker 1: I failed. If I didn't have all of those, the
- 3:04Speaker 1: good and the bad, what could I share with you
- 3:08Speaker 1: in the morning? What could I tell you about hanging?
- 3:14Speaker 1: What could I tell you about failing and then winning?
- 3:18Speaker 1: What could I tell you about hanging in now when
- 3:21Speaker 1: all hope was gone? How could I share that with you?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Unless I've had those moments myself. I don't care what
- 3:30Speaker 1: happens to you. I don't care what you're going through.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Don't you dare dare give up? Under no circumstances. Don't
- 3:43Speaker 1: you dare dare ever give up? It is the biggest
- 3:49Speaker 1: trick that the enemy has is making us think we
- 3:56Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it, to water down the illusion that
- 4:02Speaker 1: there is a possibility that you might still have a
- 4:06Speaker 1: chance to get over. The biggest trick he uses is
- 4:11Speaker 1: when you make a mistake and you fall. He gets
- 4:14Speaker 1: you to start to thinking it's final, that there is
- 4:18Speaker 1: no resurrection, there is no redemption, there is no recovery.
- 4:22Speaker 1: He just makes you think it's final. He is the
- 4:26Speaker 1: master deceiver. Don't you dare dare ever give up? I
- 4:31Speaker 1: don't care what besets you, befalls you, trips you up.
- 4:36Speaker 1: What circumstantial situations may arise, don't you dare dare ever
- 4:41Speaker 1: give up? Because listen to me, these are tests that
- 4:47Speaker 1: you are going through. And these tests, whether you pass
- 4:51Speaker 1: the test or the appears that you failed the test,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the test accomplishes the mission if you're smart about it.
- 5:01Speaker 1: If you pass the test. Let's say you're going through
- 5:05Speaker 1: a situation and you get over and it goes the
- 5:07Speaker 1: way you want it to do, then what you've learned
- 5:10Speaker 1: is if you hang in there, there's a light at
- 5:15Speaker 1: the end of the tunnel. Okay, mission accomplished. If you
- 5:20Speaker 1: fail the test and it doesn't go the way you
- 5:23Speaker 1: want it and it goes the opposite and it turns
- 5:27Speaker 1: out into a negative result, and in response you were
- 5:30Speaker 1: looking for is a no. That's not final. That doesn't
- 5:37Speaker 1: mean it's over, that doesn't mean it's time to turn back.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It simply means that now you have learned a valuable experience,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you have learned a valuable lesson. You now know what
- 5:53Speaker 1: not to do. You are now because you know what
- 5:57Speaker 1: not to do, another step closer to getting it right.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Listen to me, it has to happen this way. You
- 6:08Speaker 1: have to have the rain in your life. To get
- 6:11Speaker 1: the flowers in your life, you got to have the
- 6:15Speaker 1: darkness in your life to appreciate the sunshine in your life.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You got to have woes and worries to appreciate the joys.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It is merely a test. So when you get through failing,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and you get through stumbling, and you get through messing
- 6:37Speaker 1: it up, all that's getting you one step closer to
- 6:42Speaker 1: getting it right. Oh, my relationship ended. I'll never be
- 6:46Speaker 1: able to find another person like that. Not only will
- 6:49Speaker 1: you not be able will not only will you be
- 6:52Speaker 1: able to find a person like that, you can find
- 6:56Speaker 1: a person that far better than that if you don't
- 7:01Speaker 1: give up. But see, sometimes you got to go through
- 7:04Speaker 1: the bad ones to get to the good ones. Don't you? Dare?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Dare ever give up? I don't care what happens to
- 7:12Speaker 1: you if you lose a love one. And Lord knows,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I've lost some people I've loved dearly with every inch
- 7:21Speaker 1: in me. I've lost my mother, my father, my brother,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and my best friend. I don't know. I know people
- 7:31Speaker 1: who have lost their children. Goodness, man, I can't even
- 7:36Speaker 1: imagine that, but they kept on going. What you're giving
- 7:41Speaker 1: up for? Oh? I got you miss them? And I
- 7:45Speaker 1: got you grieving, but I got news for you. Don't
- 7:48Speaker 1: you let the devil make you think it's over for
- 7:50Speaker 1: you because somebody else ain't still here. It was their time. Now.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'm not trying to lessen to blow for you, but
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you up on your feet so
- 8:00Speaker 1: you can stop all this old woe is me because
- 8:02Speaker 1: the things is happening to you. You're not the first
- 8:05Speaker 1: person that's happened to Come on, now, let's get a grip.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Let's wrap your mind around this thing. You have got
- 8:11Speaker 1: to move forward, if it's just in memory of those people.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I was on one of the commercial breaks the other
- 8:17Speaker 1: day and somebody asked me something and I forgot the question,
- 8:21Speaker 1: but my answer was, I've always wanted my mother and
- 8:24Speaker 1: father to be proud of me, and in that absence
- 8:28Speaker 1: and their demise, I'm hoping just somehow man that they
- 8:33Speaker 1: watching me, that they see their boy, that I'm down here,
- 8:37Speaker 1: that I'm doing better, that I'm making something about myself,
- 8:42Speaker 1: that I'm loving my wife, that I'm taking care of
- 8:44Speaker 1: my kids. Just want my old man to see that
- 8:47Speaker 1: about me, you know, I want my mother to see
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to give my life together over here. You
- 8:54Speaker 1: know I'm saying I'm trying to be a better person.
- 8:56Speaker 1: My mom was a Sunday school teacher for forty years.
- 8:58Speaker 1: She'd been praying for me for a long time. I
- 9:01Speaker 1: just hope, man, and that's all I'm doing. It's just
- 9:05Speaker 1: hoping that they see me so they ain't be proud
- 9:07Speaker 1: of me. See you, you you, you you. You got
- 9:11Speaker 1: to understand that when you make these mistakes, that when
- 9:16Speaker 1: you fall and stumble and you get it all so wrong,
- 9:19Speaker 1: it ain't over for you. Don't you dare dare dare ever?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Give up? Don't stop thinking, man, because it ain't happening
- 9:27Speaker 1: just the way you wanted to that it ain't meant
- 9:29Speaker 1: to be devil. He got so many tricks to deceive you.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You know why you're being tested right now, because there
- 9:37Speaker 1: is no testimony without the test. You got to go
- 9:41Speaker 1: through something. It's all good man telling you. I just
- 9:45Speaker 1: wanted to share that with you. Don't you give up
- 9:47Speaker 1: out there. I don't care what's happening. Don't don't, don't
- 9:50Speaker 1: don't get deceived. The victory's coming, but you ain't gonna
- 9:54Speaker 1: get it if you quit. Hang on, y'all, you're listening
- 9:57Speaker 1: tow one two three. When you think of love, gotta
- 10:06Speaker 1: get it on your mind. When you think of love,
- 10:12Speaker 1: gotta get it on your mind. Believer in Valentine. When
- 10:18Speaker 1: you think of it, hell God, and get it on
- 10:24Speaker 1: your mind. Yeah, that's how we're doing it today. A
- 10:34Speaker 1: little bit different. Charley Starberry, Hey, good morning, Happy Friday. Steve.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It was a throwback Friday opening for me. Colin Farrell,
- 10:43Speaker 1: never mad on Friday. I love it, Steve Mona, never mad,
- 10:48Speaker 1: Junior Joda, See Junior, what's happening on? Everybody? King of Pranks?
- 10:57Speaker 1: If you tell me you ain't top top is Friday? Baby,
- 11:01Speaker 1: let's get it, Uncle, y'all gonna get it? Junger Love. Yeah,
- 11:12Speaker 1: now I won't know y'all. Younger Day Boy, Oh the
- 11:21Speaker 1: truth boy, put on the show. Huh they do Friday?
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yes it is. You're feeling good, it's yeah, gonna get
- 11:33Speaker 1: this family feud out the way the day. You know
- 11:36Speaker 1: your two days off for the weekend. What' you're gonna
- 11:40Speaker 1: do this weekend? Because I have no idea. Nothing is
- 11:45Speaker 1: at the top of the list, though, Chill mold, how
- 11:53Speaker 1: long do you sleep? I know you're a morning person,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but like on your day's off. Oh, Mike, maybe six,
- 12:00Speaker 1: it's thirty baby. That's for us deep. I get it
- 12:07Speaker 1: in deep on the weekends. Yeah. Like I was up
- 12:11Speaker 1: this morning at four thirty wow. Wow. Yeah yeah, because
- 12:15Speaker 1: you have to come to work. Yeah, but I ain't
- 12:18Speaker 1: got far the drivers. Are you working out at that early? Yeah?
- 12:22Speaker 1: I work out first, That's what. It's such a pair
- 12:27Speaker 1: working on fat. It ain't ain't it ain't just working
- 12:37Speaker 1: on fat. No. I got plenty of muscle. I'm muscular.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I don't need that. I just need to uncover them.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Only nice man. I'm strong. I'm strong as hell. But
- 12:48Speaker 1: doing cardio A lot of cardio? No, I don't doing
- 12:50Speaker 1: a lot of damn cardio. Don't like cardio. I do it,
- 12:55Speaker 1: but I don't like it. You know, I do a combination.
- 12:57Speaker 1: It's lifting cardio coming out. Okay, that's the best way
- 13:01Speaker 1: to shred weight for me. Cardio without weight training isn't
- 13:05Speaker 1: the best way to burn the fat. I got a
- 13:08Speaker 1: tone in shape two as a goal. No, I don't
- 13:13Speaker 1: like hit either. Julian, you don't like not only high
- 13:16Speaker 1: intensity trainer, You'll like Jim. I like lit low intensity,
- 13:25Speaker 1: low intensity training. I like lit COO low intensity training
- 13:31Speaker 1: with coffee. All right, coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:38Speaker 1: after the hour, asked the cello, Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. Right,
- 13:42Speaker 1: ask me. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now to ask the CLO. He is here, Steve Harvey,
- 13:51Speaker 1: our chief Love Officer. This one is from Tangela in
- 13:55Speaker 1: the Bay Area. Tangela Rides. I'm a thirty five year
- 13:58Speaker 1: old mother of five daughters and I desperately need to
- 14:02Speaker 1: get away. I've gone above and beyond the call of
- 14:05Speaker 1: duty as a mother. I need a week or even
- 14:08Speaker 1: a weekend to myself. My husband travels for work, so
- 14:11Speaker 1: he gets quiet time away. My sister is stationed in
- 14:15Speaker 1: Hawaii and I want to go visit her, but my
- 14:17Speaker 1: husband told me he can't take care and he can't
- 14:20Speaker 1: handle the girls by himself. Instead, he suggested we all
- 14:25Speaker 1: go to Hawaii as a family. Would be wrong to
- 14:28Speaker 1: plan my trip and leave him home along with our daughter. Yep,
- 14:32Speaker 1: you need a break, you need you need a break. Look,
- 14:35Speaker 1: everybody needs me time and planning a trip to Hawaii
- 14:38Speaker 1: with the family, it's just taking the girls with you.
- 14:41Speaker 1: The guy has to understand that he's sending them to
- 14:43Speaker 1: him what he can't handle him by himself, but he
- 14:46Speaker 1: leaves him there with you by yourself because he gets
- 14:49Speaker 1: some me time when he go out on the road,
- 14:51Speaker 1: travel and all like, he go to bed, get to watch,
- 14:53Speaker 1: but he won't lay all around you. Don't come on, guy.
- 14:56Speaker 1: In all families, he has to allow you some time
- 14:59Speaker 1: to yourself. Everybody needs me time. Being a mother is hard, man,
- 15:05Speaker 1: and the dude has to understand that it's being a
- 15:11Speaker 1: mother is harder than fatherhood actually, because hell, they got
- 15:15Speaker 1: to give birth to these children. I mean, look on them,
- 15:19Speaker 1: so that tang. Sorry, they got us topped. So yeah,
- 15:23Speaker 1: you need me time and you need to just go.
- 15:25Speaker 1: And he needs to understand it. He'll figure it out.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I can't. I can't, ye bitch, Well what you're gonna do? Right? Yeah?
- 15:33Speaker 1: But telling her daughters I'm going to Hawaii, they can't
- 15:36Speaker 1: go crazy about the face. I mean, we'll get to
- 15:42Speaker 1: looking crazy because I'm out. Because I'm sitting up here
- 15:46Speaker 1: with y'all looking crazy. She spread crazy around? Ye everybody
- 15:50Speaker 1: get yeah, all right? Schuler and Augusta says, I'm a
- 15:55Speaker 1: fifty seven year old man and I'm renting a house
- 15:57Speaker 1: to a woman that I used to date. Late, I've
- 16:00Speaker 1: been sleeping with her twenty eight year old daughter and
- 16:02Speaker 1: we've kept it on the down low because I don't
- 16:05Speaker 1: need the drama. The woman has been ill and she
- 16:08Speaker 1: can't pay her rent. Her daughter told me, if I
- 16:11Speaker 1: don't stop pressuring them for the rent, she's gonna tell
- 16:14Speaker 1: her mom about us. This will kill my reputation in town.
- 16:18Speaker 1: But I need the money. What can I do? See,
- 16:22Speaker 1: old pimp shoe, Look, let me play something to You
- 16:27Speaker 1: can't play the game, be the pimp and the player,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and don't expect to get played or pimp. It's the
- 16:34Speaker 1: game you created. You can't be the player and the
- 16:37Speaker 1: pimp in the game and then don't expect the game
- 16:39Speaker 1: to turn around. Play in pimp you. Now you're screwing
- 16:43Speaker 1: this woman's daughter on the down low, so you thought,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but you're pressuring them for money. Now let me let
- 16:49Speaker 1: me ask something. So, how are you going to play
- 16:51Speaker 1: the young girl for someone for some sex? But now
- 16:55Speaker 1: when it comes to some allocation on the rent, you
- 16:58Speaker 1: don't want to give a nothing. So now you just
- 17:00Speaker 1: she's have to sex you and you're chippy and nothing
- 17:04Speaker 1: on the rent. Her mama not only have you messing
- 17:08Speaker 1: over her, you used to mess with her and she's ill.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Can you let some of the dog and you act
- 17:15Speaker 1: like a grown man or you just gonna be dog.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's your whole life. It's just about you, Schueler Shuler. Now,
- 17:22Speaker 1: I don't know what this young girl thinks that she's
- 17:24Speaker 1: gonna accomplish by telling her mother about y'all, because that's
- 17:27Speaker 1: just gonna break her heart. She already sick. Yeah, so
- 17:31Speaker 1: that's a stupid thing for her to initiate you with.
- 17:35Speaker 1: But yo, dumb man's it is talking about either ruin
- 17:38Speaker 1: your reputation in time with the dog. It's all about you. Yeah,
- 17:44Speaker 1: you're sleeping with your former girlfriend's daughter on the lower.
- 17:49Speaker 1: You won't give him a break on rent because you
- 17:52Speaker 1: need the money, but you need the sex from the
- 17:55Speaker 1: twentieth year, but you need your reputation intact. Look like
- 17:59Speaker 1: they're gonna be staying there for free wall for me,
- 18:05Speaker 1: all right, we're moving on. It ain't free Pardner, all right.
- 18:13Speaker 1: My husband died in January, and I offered to let
- 18:16Speaker 1: his brother and his wife move in with me because
- 18:18Speaker 1: I needed a company and I have plenty of room.
- 18:21Speaker 1: His brother and I love to watch old movies and
- 18:24Speaker 1: we stay up late together in the living room, watching movies,
- 18:27Speaker 1: reminiscing and making love while his wife is sleeping. It
- 18:35Speaker 1: helped me deal with the loss of my husband, and
- 18:37Speaker 1: I don't want it to end. Should I tell him
- 18:40Speaker 1: I'm falling for him or not? What they just bear clear?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Sleeping with his brother January has helped to deal with
- 18:53Speaker 1: his death, That's what she said, because I guess it's
- 18:56Speaker 1: like he ain't gone. No, yeah, she imagines him. So
- 19:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to and now his wife in the other
- 19:05Speaker 1: room sleep. Um how did she say she was? She is?
- 19:13Speaker 1: She didn't say Steve. She did not say oh yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 1: she didn't say, Okay, y'all watching old movies. H call
- 19:23Speaker 1: war stuff? Well know who you is? You know what
- 19:26Speaker 1: I mean? How old? Y'all? Gladiator old? I was talking
- 19:30Speaker 1: to some people who said today they were talking about
- 19:32Speaker 1: Gladiator horse Dad. What what the hell you mean? What
- 19:38Speaker 1: is Glad? She told me when Gladia came out hour four?
- 19:48Speaker 1: So look, lady, we can't help you. I mean, if
- 19:54Speaker 1: that's how you decided to get over the depth of
- 19:56Speaker 1: your husband in January is by May to start sleeping
- 20:01Speaker 1: with his I don't really know what to say to
- 20:07Speaker 1: you because I well d and they are all gonna
- 20:12Speaker 1: be in there. What now, they're all gonna be in
- 20:13Speaker 1: there making a damn moving in. Yeah, what is going on?
- 20:17Speaker 1: We can see you later. Yeah, it's bound to happen.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you, lady. Sorry, good.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Don't tell him she's falling for him or not. That's
- 20:31Speaker 1: that's the only thing she wants from. Hell yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 1: hell yeah, going and tell him, tell your brother law.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I don't tell you brother in law that you're falling
- 20:40Speaker 1: for him, and asked him to go. Ask him going
- 20:43Speaker 1: in and tell his wife how she feel about it,
- 20:47Speaker 1: and y'all make some coffee and talk it over. Backs
- 20:52Speaker 1: on the wall coming up next, and you run that
- 20:55Speaker 1: break back after this. You're listening Steve Harty Morning Show
- 21:01Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour. We got
- 21:04Speaker 1: to talk about this. Cedric, the entertainer finally speaks out.
- 21:07Speaker 1: He addresses a Cad William stealing joke accusation. We're gonna
- 21:13Speaker 1: talk about it at the time of the hour. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 1: SETTI come on, but right now I don't believe it.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Right now, the nephew is here, would run that prank
- 21:23Speaker 1: back and what you got now, Oh, I don't know.
- 21:25Speaker 1: It's so much in the headlines, which but you're just
- 21:28Speaker 1: raining off. I'm sorry. Okay, you want to talk about
- 21:32Speaker 1: this pizza and these topics. That's what it is. There's
- 21:35Speaker 1: no anchovies because black people don't eat anchovey. Okay, you say, okay,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you know what we're gonna How can they get something?
- 21:46Speaker 1: I was trying to give out my number to him
- 21:48Speaker 1: to text me if you eat antio, but I don't
- 21:49Speaker 1: want anybody have my numbers. I want to I want
- 21:58Speaker 1: a black person and shobies survey and who doesn't? But anyway,
- 22:05Speaker 1: Frank is no nd shobies. Let's go get hello, hey man?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Who who? Who? Who is the person I need to
- 22:13Speaker 1: talk to about? I got a pizza that's been messed up.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Who do I need to talk to? Well, you can
- 22:18Speaker 1: talk to Micha. What's going on? What happened in pizza?
- 22:21Speaker 1: Nobody puts some nantobies on my pizza? Black people? I
- 22:24Speaker 1: don't even know nanchhobies. Man, So whoo who? Who? Who
- 22:29Speaker 1: would do that? Who would put answer channels that settled
- 22:34Speaker 1: down with the language that pal all right? You know
- 22:37Speaker 1: if you got answer bobbies on your pizza, he just
- 22:40Speaker 1: must have gotten mixed up with another water. I'll send
- 22:42Speaker 1: you another pizza. It ain't a big deal. But I

- 28:13Speaker 1: watch me work. I didn't wrote so much during the pandemic.
- 28:16Speaker 1: It's but nanaus. So it looks like people are up

- 28:25Speaker 1: So they're receiving you well huh, oh my god, they're

- 28:48Speaker 1: We cannot. And you can control this high I can't.
- 28:53Speaker 1: The people dressing up tell me they're dressing what Yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but then they're also they're also my pick out that's
- 29:00Speaker 1: got the warm up zone. You'd be like, don't nothing happen,
- 29:03Speaker 1: don't nothing fit? You already know that COVID fifteen. Yes, yes, yes,
- 29:10Speaker 1: it is real. All right, thank you, nephew. Coming up
- 29:14Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Entertainment and National News.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:23Speaker 1: All right. So Cad Williams said that Cedric the Entertainer
- 29:26Speaker 1: stole his joke Steve. You know this one the one
- 29:30Speaker 1: that said did H in the Kings of Comedy movie
- 29:33Speaker 1: during an interview cat Williams. The one about having to
- 29:38Speaker 1: park a large spaceship Cadillac. Uh yeah, Cat Williams is
- 29:44Speaker 1: saying that was his joke, and uh, that's what he's saying. Listen,
- 29:52Speaker 1: he said. When it initially happened to me, this is
- 29:54Speaker 1: Cat talking. It crushed me just because the comedian was
- 29:58Speaker 1: at when he said. The comedian he was talking about
- 30:00Speaker 1: said was already bigger and more famous than me, and
- 30:04Speaker 1: he took my closing joke and made it his closing
- 30:07Speaker 1: joke on the Kings of Comedy. This is Kat Williams.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Well you know what I'm said. You're talking about cutie
- 30:16Speaker 1: producing the quarter. Uh huh what don't first he was
- 30:26Speaker 1: saying to say, okay, said, responded Steve hold only all right,
- 30:33Speaker 1: so said, responded, yesterday, take a listen. Look, I have
- 30:38Speaker 1: no idea what this brother is talking about. It that
- 30:41Speaker 1: joke is over thirty years old, close to thirty seven
- 30:44Speaker 1: years old. I did the Kings of Comedy in nineteen
- 30:46Speaker 1: ninety nine, probably had been doing that joke six seven
- 30:49Speaker 1: years before that. I don't even know if Kat was
- 30:51Speaker 1: doing comedy then. So you know, again, he in talented brother.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I have no idea that he talking about. I've never
- 30:57Speaker 1: seen Cat do a space show joke. So, uh, you know,
- 31:01Speaker 1: there may be something that he believes is true. I've
- 31:05Speaker 1: written a lot of jokes. I've had a lot of
- 31:07Speaker 1: comedians still my jokes as well, So I understand if
- 31:10Speaker 1: you feel, you know, slighted by that. But that's my joke.
- 31:14Speaker 1: That's my joke. Dog driving space shops to the mold.
- 31:17Speaker 1: See the red cutie pie rocking in the background. Apparently
- 31:20Speaker 1: a parking space shop. It's my joke though, So that's
- 31:24Speaker 1: that's what I believe it to be. So all right,
- 31:27Speaker 1: that's all I can say about that. Man, I'm not
- 31:28Speaker 1: gonna being no back and forth about this. I'm I've
- 31:32Speaker 1: been I've been doing this dog, So that's all I
- 31:34Speaker 1: can really say. Got a lot of jokes throughout the career,
- 31:38Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of heming, a lot of
- 31:41Speaker 1: doing it on different platforms. So you know, keep rocking, cat.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Do you think I'm a grown ass? Man I knew
- 31:54Speaker 1: said when he was doing the joke before we did
- 31:58Speaker 1: the Kings me and said toured together before that was
- 32:03Speaker 1: at Kings Listen. Man I met said in eighty nine
- 32:09Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey's Vookoo Ray, which turned into Steve Harvey's
- 32:14Speaker 1: Caravan of funny, funky friends in Dallas, Texas at a
- 32:18Speaker 1: club called Vodkou ray As I met Saying in eighty nine.
- 32:22Speaker 1: We hit it off that weekend. We've been friends ever since.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Before The Kings was formulated, me, him, Bernie and Sad
- 32:33Speaker 1: was doing three five thousand, seven thousand seat us alone.
- 32:38Speaker 1: When the guy came to us to do The Kings.
- 32:41Speaker 1: We had doubts because we didn't think we could fill
- 32:43Speaker 1: up basketball arenas. Literally did we know for the next
- 32:46Speaker 1: four years we was gonna sell out all of them. Now,
- 32:49Speaker 1: Sad was doing that joke before we did The Kings.
- 32:55Speaker 1: See in what people don't understand when you saw the
- 32:58Speaker 1: movie The Kings of Comedy. It came out in two thousand.
- 33:02Speaker 1: We was on two or three years before that, right,
- 33:07Speaker 1: So what you saw the jokes in two thousand, that
- 33:10Speaker 1: was just us doing the movie. That ain't the jokes
- 33:13Speaker 1: that never even made it to tape. We was doing
- 33:18Speaker 1: them jokes man before that was at Kings of Comedy
- 33:21Speaker 1: before twenty one years ago. Sad was doing that joke
- 33:26Speaker 1: in the nineties when we was on The Steve Harvey
- 33:29Speaker 1: Show twoing together. I was waiting when I was I
- 33:34Speaker 1: was look man I kid you not. I was with
- 33:37Speaker 1: saying when he conceptualized it joke. I saw that joke
- 33:40Speaker 1: being born. I watched it evolved over the year, said said,
- 33:43Speaker 1: don't steal jokes. Man, we we we need to back
- 33:46Speaker 1: up off this right here. Just let me say so.
- 33:50Speaker 1: I think both of these brothers are just incredibly talented
- 33:53Speaker 1: comed and we know that they are incredible. But I'm
- 33:56Speaker 1: starting to win the ninety. We started this thing a
- 33:58Speaker 1: few weeks ago with this big lads and this other
- 34:02Speaker 1: young lady. Is this where we hit it now? Where
- 34:05Speaker 1: everybody's now coming out with it's my joke, that's my joke.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Where time you stole mine? Toil you said high this morning? Hell,
- 34:13Speaker 1: anybody but Seve, who we're from a different era of
- 34:21Speaker 1: Carmany said, didn't steal the joke. Man, I'm telling you,
- 34:24Speaker 1: he'd been doing that joke for a long time. Look,
- 34:26Speaker 1: I don't know when Kat started, but Kat and for us,
- 34:31Speaker 1: was after the Kings of Carmeny. And he actually said that.
- 34:35Speaker 1: He said that. After he Kat said that, he said that,
- 34:40Speaker 1: and Kat thinks that, why do you think where does
- 34:43Speaker 1: this coming from? I mean, because it just came out
- 34:45Speaker 1: of the blue. Look, I don't want to get into
- 34:47Speaker 1: nothing with Kat because we didn't have over the years.
- 34:50Speaker 1: So I don't. I don't. I'm not my mom ain't
- 34:54Speaker 1: got nothing own cat. I'm talking about Cedric the entertainer.
- 34:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you now, I was round him when he
- 35:02Speaker 1: wrote that joke. I was around him when he did it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And it was before the Kings of Comedy. I'm telling
- 35:08Speaker 1: you it was look man, me and said been on
- 35:11Speaker 1: TV together since ninety five, ninety four. Even so now
- 35:17Speaker 1: I remember when he was telling me to joke. I
- 35:21Speaker 1: saw him do the joke. So now seven years later,
- 35:27Speaker 1: when the King started and then came out in two thousand,
- 35:31Speaker 1: that joke was old. That's why I was such a season.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Joe said, put the Cutie power song with it and everything. Yea,
- 35:38Speaker 1: what you heard this that before? I've never seen anybody
- 35:42Speaker 1: even do the same thing. Said that says joke. That's
- 35:46Speaker 1: all I got to tell y'all. Said, they entertained a legend. Man,
- 35:52Speaker 1: We need a comedy conference conference. Anybody having no conference?
- 35:59Speaker 1: All right? Coming up twenty minutes after the hour, more
- 36:01Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this, you're

- 50:03Speaker 1: nothing to me. You ain't gonna do number but release

- 50:08Speaker 1: That's it. No, I'm a release as you come to.

- 54:15Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here, Readee is the Strawberry letter.
- 54:18Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. Subject watch how you talk
- 54:22Speaker 1: to my baby. Dear Stephen Shirley. My boyfriend and I
- 54:26Speaker 1: have been together two years and we had planned to
- 54:29Speaker 1: get married soon, but I got pregnant instead. He's twenty
- 54:33Speaker 1: seven and I'm twenty five years old, and we moved
- 54:36Speaker 1: in together so he could help me with the baby.
- 54:39Speaker 1: My family didn't really care for him before I got pregnant,
- 54:42Speaker 1: and they really don't like him now since he's still
- 54:45Speaker 1: not working and I'm paying all of the bills. Let
- 54:49Speaker 1: me set the scene for you. I got a degree
- 54:51Speaker 1: in finance and I work in the financial aid office
- 54:54Speaker 1: at a community college. I met my boyfriend at work,
- 54:58Speaker 1: and he worked in the maintenance department. He was laid
- 55:01Speaker 1: off during the pandemic when the school was closed, and
- 55:04Speaker 1: they haven't called him back to work. In the meantime,
- 55:07Speaker 1: he's taking odd jobs here and there to help me
- 55:10Speaker 1: out financially. My parents have told me to leave him,
- 55:13Speaker 1: so I try to keep them out of my business,
- 55:16Speaker 1: but I am starting to agree with them about him.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I have to admit that my boyfriend and his family
- 55:22Speaker 1: are very ghetto and I questioned their child rearing skills.
- 55:27Speaker 1: I have a one year old son and he started
- 55:30Speaker 1: walking and getting into stuff. My boyfriend's pet name for
- 55:33Speaker 1: him is a little in word. Got that little in
- 55:41Speaker 1: word and he says the word, the actual word, and
- 55:43Speaker 1: that's what he calls them no matter where we are.
- 55:48Speaker 1: My boyfriend's father has commented to several family members that
- 55:52Speaker 1: my son is blessed with a big weenie like the
- 55:56Speaker 1: rest of the men and the family. He loves to
- 55:59Speaker 1: call my baby. Oh God, little big d MF what
- 56:09Speaker 1: I'm like, come on now, it's terrible. This is awful.
- 56:15Speaker 1: The baby is one, and it boils my blood every
- 56:19Speaker 1: time he says it. My boyfriend's mother loves garage sales
- 56:23Speaker 1: and she shots from my baby's clothes there. I told her, thanks,
- 56:27Speaker 1: but no things. I love my boyfriend and I've seen
- 56:30Speaker 1: a different side of him lately, and I can't deal
- 56:33Speaker 1: with his family. Can he change this behavior if he
- 56:36Speaker 1: wanted to? Should I raise my child without him and
- 56:39Speaker 1: his ghetto acting family? Please just please tell me this
- 56:43Speaker 1: isn't really happening. I mean, just tell me that, because
- 56:47Speaker 1: your boyfriend definitely needs to watch how he talks to
- 56:50Speaker 1: the baby. And more importantly, watch how he acts around
- 56:53Speaker 1: the baby. His family needs too too. Who calls their
- 56:57Speaker 1: baby in word? Who? I don't know? Anyone? I don't
- 57:03Speaker 1: know anyone? Who does I know? And the other one? Yeah?
- 57:08Speaker 1: And your daddy. I'm getting to that with Steve. Uh.
- 57:13Speaker 1: We all know how impressionable children are. And why why
- 57:16Speaker 1: are you doing this? Have you talked to your man
- 57:18Speaker 1: about his behavior? And who, pray tell, is going to
- 57:22Speaker 1: talk to your man's dad. Who's gonna talk to him?
- 57:25Speaker 1: He calls his grandson little big d m F. This
- 57:32Speaker 1: is a toxic environment. I'm sorry to bring a child
- 57:35Speaker 1: up in. I think all kids should be raised by
- 57:37Speaker 1: both parents in a loving relationship, but of course that's
- 57:41Speaker 1: not always reality and life stuff happens. And you asked us,
- 57:45Speaker 1: can he change his behavior if he wanted to? Well,
- 57:48Speaker 1: the answer is yes, he can if he wanted to, Um, yeah,
- 57:53Speaker 1: he can change. The problem is I don't think that
- 57:56Speaker 1: he recognizes that he should change. I think that he
- 57:59Speaker 1: thinks this stuff is okay because look at what he
- 58:02Speaker 1: calls his own son and when his dad calls his grandson.
- 58:05Speaker 1: If you can't become a better person and set a
- 58:07Speaker 1: good example for your child, that you've brought into the world,
- 58:11Speaker 1: then it must not be in you. So in this case,
- 58:14Speaker 1: I have to agree with your parents. I mean, i'd
- 58:16Speaker 1: give him a chance talk to him first, but I
- 58:18Speaker 1: don't think it's gonna make a difference because he gets
- 58:20Speaker 1: it from his family and it's just in him, and
- 58:24Speaker 1: they don't seem to know that they shouldn't call their
- 58:26Speaker 1: kid little in word, a little big dmuf. Come on,
- 58:30Speaker 1: get ready for supervised custody, unless a miracle happens and
- 58:35Speaker 1: he changes, which I doubt. Steve Well, this letter had
- 58:41Speaker 1: a couple of problems in it early on that I
- 58:44Speaker 1: kind of picked up on it. You're and your boyfriend
- 58:47Speaker 1: being together two years. He's twenty seven, you twenty five.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Y'allly plan on getting married soon, but you got pregnant instead.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Now just listen to that. We were plan on getting married,
- 59:00Speaker 1: but I got pregnant instead. He's twenty seven, she's twenty five.
- 59:04Speaker 1: You got it, and we moved in together so he
- 59:10Speaker 1: can help me with the baby. You know, oftentimes I
- 59:15Speaker 1: find out and I'm not judging one way or the other,
- 59:18Speaker 1: but I am going to say this as a thought
- 59:20Speaker 1: for people who are considering it. People Nowadays a lot
- 59:25Speaker 1: of people think that moving in as a solution, and
- 59:30Speaker 1: you should all think about that before you do it,
- 59:33Speaker 1: because moving in is not just a solution. It's a commitment.
- 59:39Speaker 1: And if you've got to make that type of commitment,
- 59:42Speaker 1: then y'all to just make the commitment. But moving in
- 59:47Speaker 1: as a solution oftentimes comes with the stuff that you
- 59:51Speaker 1: learned about people after they move in, because you didn't
- 59:55Speaker 1: take the time to learn it before y'all moved in.
- 59:59Speaker 1: So moving in amplifies everything. And so now we got it.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Your family don't really care for the dude because he's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: still not working, and now here we go. I'm paying
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: all the bills and let me set the scene for y'all.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Got a degree in finance. I work in the financial
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: aid office at the community college. I met my boyfriend
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: and worked, and he worked in the maintenance department. He
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: was laid after the pandemic when the school closed and
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: has and called him back yet. Now all this is good,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, hang on right there. We'll have Yeah,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: we'll have ft two of your response coming up to
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour, subject watch how you
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: talk to my baby. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: after this you're listening show? All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject watch how you
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: talk to my baby? Well, all I got to was
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: this couple. She's two years younger than him. They we're
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: gonna get married, but she got pregnant, so that they
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: decide to move in so he could help her with
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: the baby. Moving in almost never solves the problem because
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: the problem ain't really the fact that you needed help
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: with the baby, because if you read the letter, you
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: still need help with the baby. So moving in oftentimes
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: isn't dissolution because the problem had nothing to do with
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: him being there. He's not even working, so there's no
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: financial contribution that he's making, and that his child reading
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: skills are quite different from yours, as we'll find out.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: And when you met him at work, you are in
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: a degree and you had a job at the community
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: college and finance. There's nothing wrong with this at all.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: What the man does for a living, that ain't got
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: nothing to do with it. Great men do all types
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: of work. Some of my best friends ain't famous, rich
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: or none of that. They're just the best dudes I
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: know on this earth. So you could have had one.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Except the problem is you all are incredibly unequally yoke,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: not just from the standpoint of education. It has nothingness.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: But you become equal, you become unyoked. The moment one
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: of y'all working in the other one, ain't we got
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: a problem here, because if he moved in to help,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: where's that help gonna come from. He got laid off,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: he ain't never been back. He'd been doing our jobs
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: to help me out financial. Now your parents told me
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: to leave him, So I try to keep out of
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: my business when I'm starting to agree with them, because
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: your parents can see stuff because they're not in love. See,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: so sometimes people who care about you can see things
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: you don't see. I have to admit that my boyfriend
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: and his family are very gather. When I questioned the
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: child rearing skills, We're gonna get back to that in
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: a minute. I have a one year old son and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: he started walking and getting into stuff. My boyfriend's pet
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: name for him is Luian word. Now, if you want
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: to call a baby of the wrong name, little N
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: word is in yeah, because you're sending the wrong message
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: to this child. Secondly, that ain't his damn made Thirdly,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: why would you want to impress that upon a child?
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Now when you all become adults, full grown, me and
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: y'all call each other anything you want to. You can
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: say it's a termy dearmit, you can call anything you
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: want to, but to recall it to a baby, a
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: baby has no idea. And you say in this letter
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: everywhere y'all go, and it don't matter where you are.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: My boyfriend, you call him lilian word, restaurant, daycare, picking
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: him up, chestising me. How do you chestise the child
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: by calling him lilian word? You're defeating the purpose of
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: trying to discipline him. You undisciplined by calling him that.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: You disrespect him by calling that, and then you want
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: him to do what you say, dude, So what they
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: make you the bigg n word? See that it does.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: It's not gonna help. But then your boyfriend's father has
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: commented to several family members that my son is blessed
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: with a big weenie like the rest of the men
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: in the family, and he loves to call my baby
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: little big DML. Now that's funny as hell to me.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: But your grandfather's nickname for you is a little big DML. Now,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: listen to me. I have three grandsons, four granddaughters. Now
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. They've all heard me,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: because I'll admit that, and BJ blessed too. But I'm
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: not calling him a little big DML because first of all,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: he don't really know what's going on yet, And why
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: would I introduce that to Hill? And first of all,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: MML is out of the question to refer to my grandchildren.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: But Whenie Size is so damned ignorant, it's just a
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: level of ignorance on the adults part. It's just high
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: level ignorance. And it boils your blood every time he
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: says that my boyfriend mother hit gonna this the last crawl.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: The boy mama like garage sales, and that's why he ups,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: you buy all the baby clothes. Now what I'm like,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: You know, garage sALS ain't nothing wrong with it, ain't
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: nothing wrong with thrift stores. That's what you do to
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: clean them clothes all like that. That ain't me though, See,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I grew up with enough of that. When we're not
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: reverting back, and people like to feel a certain way
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: about their children, and if you can afford to do
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: nice things for your children, most prayers do. Now, I
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: don't gonna get a little white kid clothes off the
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: little table and bring to my little black heads. But
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: you know what I said, I'm sorry. I seen don't
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: go getting on little white kids clothes off this table
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: and bring them over here and putting on my little
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: black head. Baby. We don't thing do that. Just I'm
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: not fitting to let you do that. So now you
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: got your boyfriend, the stupid daddy, this Barfield daddy's stupid
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: grandma did grandmama liked to go garage shopping and buy
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: your clothes off that. I can't deal with his family.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Can he change his behavior? Not at twenty seven? Should
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I raise my child without him? And now that's something
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: to you. But y'all just give you this advice. You
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: should be with somebody equally low yo. You should have
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: things in common. You'd have the same ideals. You should
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: have the same ideals when it come to trial rig
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and you have common interest. I don't hear none of
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: that left. So now you gotta make your own decision
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: co parenting, all right? Thank you? Steve. Post your comments
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: on today's Strubberry letter at Steve HARVFM, Instagram and Facebook
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: is where you can do that. Check out the Strubberry
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Letter podcast coming up in forty six minutes after Sports
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Talk with Junior. Right after this you're listening stew All
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: right here, Rigal Junior is here with Sports Talk. What
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: you got, Junior? Yeah, surely I want to give a
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: shout out today. This, This is this is big because
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: this is so much hate in sports and these these
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: these players, man have tad a tough year and I
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: want to, you know, give them Ron Plow for standing
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: on their social justice and UH one in particular Jordan Clarkson,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Jordan Clarkson for the Utah Jazz. Uh there's a food
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: truck that was vandalized with the words effing and it
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: was an Asian slur on it. And Jordan Clarkson is
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: part of Filipino and he's also ranging six Man of
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: the Year. But we've been seeing so much hate in
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: in sports this year's you know, with with everything going
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: on to spitting on people with popcorn, all these different things. Man,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: and these these players are not backing down. Man, They're
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: not coming off. They stand they are they tired of it.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: You know, at baseball games, they unveiling banners would say
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Trump won save America. That's happening at three stadiums. Know, yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: in three baseball stadiums. Somebody got in the stadium unrolled
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: a banner and it's just so much hate. Man. But
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: to find out that this brother here man actually took
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: his own money with the some business men into the
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: city of Utah and they actually got these people truck
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: will redone. They'd rewrap the truck, they cleaned the interior,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: they made it. Are they gonna unveil it this Saturday.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: They are not taking us. They're taking a stance. They're
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: not gonna take this numbre man. And you can't force
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: these people to feel any type of way because racism
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: and hate it's too much right now in the country,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: and we divided along these lines. There's some people that
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: just ain't gonna change. But I just want to tell
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Jordan Clarkson, congratulations, man. I'm proud of you. I saw
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: what you did, man, and appreciate you for doing what
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: you're doing. I appreciate you because man, it's too much already. Man.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Also in other sports news, though, Julio Jones is now
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Tennessee Titan, which is bad for US Texans because we
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: have to play them twice a year. That's two losses.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: We can count then for show. Watson, Yeah, we'll have
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: to put them out there. That's two for show. We
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: know we got already. The Shawn Watsonton told John one
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: of his players is you taxas quarterback, told that he
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: wanted to play in Denver. Now now he don't want
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: to be there, no mood. And now he gonna go
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: over here in the AFC. Now we're gonna play them once.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: That's another loss. I see what this is adding up.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: And also, man, I want to say congratulations because there
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: was an apb out in the NBA. The Bucks did
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: beat the Knitts last night. Now we got two one
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: series and Middleton showed up. Chris Middleton, good to see
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: you make it to the to the series man thirty
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: five points and the Greek Freak dropped thirty three. So
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: they did win. Oh we man. Tonight's games you got
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: uh Atlanta and Philly series tied at won one and
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: then you as. I also want to say congratulations to
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: the Women's College World Series champions. This fifth national title
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: for the Oklahoma as soon as women's softball team, man,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: they want a fifth title. They be hidden girls, Girls
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: can hit. I watched you too. Man. Good. That's sports
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: top for today. Thank you, Junior. Coming up at the
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: top of the hour. June is Black Music month, you
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: know that, and we're going to talk about Philly sound,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: the Philly soul sound. Okay, right after this you're listening
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: to the show. Okay, Steve, you know that June is
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Black music month, and uh, we know how much you
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: love music. We all know that. So let's talk about
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the Philly sound. Okay, Philly soul. And UH got to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: ask you this. Can you name for us like five
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: or six artists and their songs from Philadelphia. Uh, produced
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: by Gamble and Huff straight out of Philly. I mean
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I produced by Games, Gambling, Huff, But I mean I'm
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: five artists from then. The most recent is Geo Scott
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: that came from Philly. Patties from Philly, Maze, Frankie Beverly
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: is from Philly. Gambling, Ain't no stopping news, n I
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: don't know, we won't nothing, you know, I'm just there Fortune, Yeah,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: but I don't know who wad Yeah, oh Mac Family
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: white Head. Yeah, but you didn't say Teddie oh from Philly. Yes,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Jacob the Stinners is a Philly from Philly. Boy, shut
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: up Philippe when almost cried, don't they say they came on?
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Sometimes she'd be so happy being with that and that
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: the soul trained theme is a fit. Great, it's just
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: to see it, you feel with the love learning. We
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: learned the wholely story see Chase. Yeah, she will always
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: have inspite the thing terrible? Well can oh said? You know?
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: We love it? Boy, almost cried. What about some of
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: your favorite OJA songs? You know, gambling up? What are
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the songs? Jess ja ja ja, let me command? I
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: was born for the notes. I'm from the generation of
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: guttural singing. Yes sir, yes you are, Yes you are.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: What about classic Billy taul me and Missus Missy Joe?
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: It's Joe's Joe Joe boy, we mean every man. I
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: wanted to chick like that so bad. You never did
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: the same, Oh man, I wanted that. I was with that. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: that's some classics. Jay, what's your favorite feeling? Come on,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: ja's your favorite? It's gotta be teddy, It's gotta be teddy.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Turn off the lights one of my favorite. Yeah, Harold
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Melvin and the Blue Note, Steve. Yeah, the greatest seven
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: minute two part love songs ever written. Old miss you boy.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of thet you're listening to show.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: All right. Hey, did you guys see the principle at
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: the North Carolina graduation in Raleigh singing I Will Always
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Love You to his graduating class. Yeah, twitching was that though?
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: I mean North Carolina The school was called Wingate Andrews
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: High School. Uh huh. He was singing Whitney right here,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Yes he was. I mean you didn't know he was
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: gonna do that. He just got up and his his
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: um captain down and everything and just serenade it the
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: entire class. Yeah. Wow, that's from point okay singing folks, Right,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: I didn't. I didn't see it at all. I wish
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: I had. Oh yeah, it was very touchy. Yeah it
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: really good Black Music Month Yeah, and Black Excellence the graduates, yes,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: for sure. So I mean that has to make them
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: feel good graduating, to know that their principle felt that
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: way about them. You know, some extra confidence, self esteem,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: you know, extra boost to get out here in the world.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: That's stuff right there, that's stuff from high school out
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: That next step is a scary step. That stuff there
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: it's the biggest thing in the world. Are you at
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: that time? Oh my god, it is the biggest thing
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: in the world to you at that time. Every moment
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: you get to in life is the biggest one at
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: that time. Yeah, yeah, all right, we'll have more of
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: a Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty three
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: minutes after the hour right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: all right. So Cad william said that Cedric the Entertainer
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: stole his joke Steve. You know this one the one
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: that said did uh in the Kings of Comedy movie
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: during an interview Cat Williams, the one about having to
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: park a large spaceship Cadillac. Uh. Yeah, Cat Williams is
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: saying that was his joke, and uh, that's that's what
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: he's saying. Listen, he said. When it initially happened to me,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: this is Cat talking, It crushed me just because the
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: comedian was at when he said. The comedian he's talking
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: about said was already bigger and more famous than me,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: and he took my closing joke and made it his
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: closing joke on the Kings of Comedy. This is Cat Williams. Well,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: you know said you talk about. Uh huh, don't let okay,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Sad responded, Steve hold On, All right, so Sad responded, yesterday,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: take a listen. Look, I have no idea what this
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: brother is talking about. That joke is over thirty years
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: or close to thirty seven years old. I did the
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Kings of Comedy in nineteen ninety nine, probably had been
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: doing that joke six seven years before that. I don't
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: even know if Kat was doing comedy then. So, you know, again,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: get talented brother. I have no ideaity talking about. I've
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: never seen Cat do a space show joke, so, uh,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: you know, there may be something that he believes is true.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I've written a lot of jokes. I've had a lot
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: of comedians still my jokes as well, So I understand
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: if you feel, you know, slighted by that. But that's
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: my joke. That's my joke out driving Space Show to
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: the mold. See the red CUTI pie rocket in the background,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: apparently a parking space shop. It's my joke though, So
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: that's that's what I believe it to be. So all right,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: that's all I can say about that. Man. I'm not
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: great being no back and forth about this. I'm I've
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: been I've been doing this stop. So that's all I
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: can really say. A lot of jokes throughout the career,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of heroing, a lot of
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: doing it on different platforms. So you know, keep rocking. Cat,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: do you think I'm a grown ass man that I knew?
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Said when he was doing the joke before we did
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the Kings me and said toured together before that was
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: a Kings coming up. It is our last break of
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: the day. It is the last break of the day.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: I'm watching some of these graduations. The singing was nice
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: for y'all, just way too much. Damnation. Gotta stop at
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: some at some point, you gotta stop it. You just
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: can't have everybody did do a dance. You just can't
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: damn dance. Okay, get your card and think and move
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: the Hello. We'll also have some closing remarks at forty
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour from the one and only,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: our fearless leader, Steve Harvey. Right after this you're listening
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: to show all right, guys, here we are, last break
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: of the day, last break of the week, on this Friday.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Yeah, were a good day,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: of course, Yes, always right, anytime you put in a
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: full's day work and the data, it is a good day.

- 1:20:44Speaker 1: we must be having fun, right hey. We got to
