Responding to a call for help from a ground force about to be overrun, KC risked her own life to save them. The enemy always gets a vote, and then Captain Campbell's A-10 was almost shot down. With no hydraulics, in a plane that shouldn't have been able to fly, KC did what only 2 or 3 other pilots have lived through- she flew her A-10 back to friendly control in manual reversion.
