- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all look like the don giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million buck bus things in the cobles. Good Steve
- 0:24Speaker 1: listening to the movie Together forty, I don't join me.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn you. You gotta turn to
- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out. Turn, got to turn them out. Turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water, the water go. Come come on your bag,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall well come onrded everybody you are listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now one it only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show? Man. I love it
- 2:15Speaker 1: when I run up into people and they say that
- 2:17Speaker 1: to me. They say, hey, Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Then they wink at man, I know they're listening. You know.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I got a lot off my chest yesterday. I wanted
- 2:24Speaker 1: to clear some things up. And I appreciate y'all giving
- 2:27Speaker 1: me a minute, because sometimes, you know, you just gotta
- 2:29Speaker 1: say some things out loud. Not complaining, but hey, just verbalizing,
- 2:35Speaker 1: but realizing that I gotta keep going anyway. And that's
- 2:38Speaker 1: for my words this morning to you that I want
- 2:43Speaker 1: you to keep pushing no matter what happens. I want
- 2:48Speaker 1: to share something with you that's important. That's very very important. See,
- 2:55Speaker 1: you have to give God something too, bless you know,
- 3:00Speaker 1: if your prayer is asking for God's blessings, you got
- 3:05Speaker 1: to give him something to work with. Now, you know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you got to show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You gotta let him know that you're in it for
- 3:17Speaker 1: the long haul. No matter what happens. Don't turn around.
- 3:25Speaker 1: You will never ever see what the end could be.
- 3:30Speaker 1: If you turn around and go back, You'll never know
- 3:34Speaker 1: what the end could have been had you stuck it out.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You'll never know how good it could have gotten had
- 3:44Speaker 1: you not just weathered the storm. That's the thing that
- 3:49Speaker 1: gets most people. They get tough for them, It get
- 3:55Speaker 1: hard for them, and then they let doubts set in,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and then those doubts become facts and the next thing
- 4:01Speaker 1: you know, they give up. Had you not given up,
- 4:06Speaker 1: or had you given your best, what the results or
- 4:09Speaker 1: outcome could have been. I look back on my life
- 4:12Speaker 1: on so many occasions where in college I wasn't giving
- 4:17Speaker 1: my best. Now I flunked out. Now it's easy to
- 4:23Speaker 1: look at my life nine go yeah, but look at
- 4:25Speaker 1: you now. But back then, man, it cost me for
- 4:30Speaker 1: so many years that failing to finish that, not giving
- 4:36Speaker 1: my all. It cost me a number of years. I
- 4:42Speaker 1: wish I could say that it didn't mean nothing, that
- 4:45Speaker 1: it was just a blimp on the radar screen screen,
- 4:48Speaker 1: but at the time it was major. And so you
- 4:51Speaker 1: have a lot of decisions in your life that are
- 4:53Speaker 1: happening now. You may be in your twenties, your late teens,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you could be in your early thirties, and it's happening.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But guess what you'll eventually get through it provided one
- 5:05Speaker 1: thing you never give up. You never turn around and
- 5:09Speaker 1: go back. Had I written myself off because of one failure, see,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and this is where so many people go but go
- 5:17Speaker 1: wrong at two. You write yourself off after you failed
- 5:20Speaker 1: at something, the one thing you thought you wanted to accomplish,
- 5:25Speaker 1: and you failed at it. Now you write yourself as
- 5:28Speaker 1: a failure. Now you go settle on end to life
- 5:31Speaker 1: and just see what see what hand you get had
- 5:35Speaker 1: when I flunked out of college, had I written myself
- 5:38Speaker 1: off as a failure, I wouldn't be here today. When
- 5:42Speaker 1: I lost my carpet cleaning company, I would have written
- 5:45Speaker 1: myself as a failure and I wouldn't be here today
- 5:49Speaker 1: when I didn't become a diamond distributed in Amway or
- 5:52Speaker 1: a direct distributor in am Way, even I would have
- 5:55Speaker 1: written myself as a failure and I wouldn't be here today.
- 6:01Speaker 1: When I bought a distribution kit to become a distributor
- 6:05Speaker 1: of the Bohemian Diet and I didn't make it, I
- 6:10Speaker 1: would have written myself as a failure. When I became
- 6:13Speaker 1: an Al Williams distributor and I didn't make it, I
- 6:16Speaker 1: would have written myself as a failure, and I wouldn't
- 6:18Speaker 1: be here today. Oh, I got a list for you.
- 6:22Speaker 1: When I got laid off it for a motor company.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Had I written myself as a failure, I wouldn't have
- 6:28Speaker 1: made it. Do you need some more? Because I have
- 6:34Speaker 1: a story filled with mishaps. I have a story filled
- 6:39Speaker 1: with failures. A couple of things now, the grace of
- 6:44Speaker 1: God and his mercy which is available to us all.
- 6:48Speaker 1: See that's the key, y'all, Because of his mercy, because
- 6:53Speaker 1: of his willingness to forgive and to even understand why
- 7:00Speaker 1: we do the things we do. In all of my shortcomings,
- 7:06Speaker 1: failed marriages I'm talking about, man got it all wrong.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I can't blame nobody else it's just me, Steve ain't
- 7:15Speaker 1: have it together at that point in life. I've could
- 7:19Speaker 1: have ridden myself as a failure the first time I could.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I just could have gave up on it after the
- 7:25Speaker 1: second one. And please know that this is an admission.
- 7:30Speaker 1: This ain't bragging. So before you start in with me,
- 7:32Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. I'm pointing out in my life
- 7:38Speaker 1: a series of missteps and failures. But how I still
- 7:43Speaker 1: get here today a couple of things. God's grace and
- 7:49Speaker 1: mercy is first. But that's the key, that's for everybody
- 7:55Speaker 1: see if it's God's willingness to forgive you and God's
- 8:00Speaker 1: understanding of why we do what we do because He
- 8:03Speaker 1: said we wasn't gonna be perfect. So in all of
- 8:07Speaker 1: your imperfections, your creator told you you would not be perfect.
- 8:12Speaker 1: He's sad it to you. It's out there. I don't
- 8:15Speaker 1: care which one of the books you read it tells
- 8:18Speaker 1: you that. So guess what With that in mind, he
- 8:23Speaker 1: has a grace that he has. It's like a grace period.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's like when you don't pay your insurance premium on
- 8:30Speaker 1: the day that is due. The next day, they don't
- 8:33Speaker 1: just cancel your insurance premium. They have a grace period
- 8:38Speaker 1: because they ain't trying to stop this money from coming in.
- 8:42Speaker 1: But when it comes to God, there's no money required.
- 8:45Speaker 1: He just gives you the grace freely. It don't cost
- 8:49Speaker 1: you nothing. So you got tap into that, y'all. You
- 8:52Speaker 1: gotta get in touch with that, because that's an important
- 8:54Speaker 1: part to making it. Understanding that His grace is available.
- 8:58Speaker 1: So when you make a mistake, So when you fail
- 9:02Speaker 1: at it, he has a loophole in the contract with
- 9:06Speaker 1: him that allows you to make mistakes, that allows you
- 9:09Speaker 1: to get it wrong, that allows you to fail time
- 9:13Speaker 1: and time and time again. But if you never give up,
- 9:16Speaker 1: if you keep getting up, if you keep trying, if
- 9:19Speaker 1: you keep striving, if you keep making the effort to
- 9:23Speaker 1: go forward and not go back, God has a blessing
- 9:27Speaker 1: for you, and He has it in abundance for you,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and God will give it to you at the right time.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But you got to be ready. Oh, I want it
- 9:38Speaker 1: to be successful. But if he had given it to
- 9:41Speaker 1: me back then I wouldn't have handled it correctly because
- 9:45Speaker 1: I would have made some more mistakes along the way.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So you make the mistakes to learn the lessons Lord.
- 9:53Speaker 1: They ain't God been good to me. I ain't gonna
- 9:55Speaker 1: lie to you. Cool you're listening. Boo doo doo doo
- 10:03Speaker 1: doo shoo doo doo doo doo doo. Hey, people say
- 10:10Speaker 1: I'm the life of the part. It calls I tell
- 10:15Speaker 1: a joke or to what. We're gonna do a bunch
- 10:18Speaker 1: of them today. You know why, Because this is Steve
- 10:19Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. We will be telling a joke or
- 10:23Speaker 1: two today. You know what I'm saying. We are fighting
- 10:28Speaker 1: with you, We are in this with you. We will
- 10:31Speaker 1: get through this with you. We are in support of you.
- 10:36Speaker 1: But know this, this too shall pass. You ain't in
- 10:41Speaker 1: the middle of a crisis. You in the middle of
- 10:44Speaker 1: a mill. Something is gonna happen because of this something.
- 10:50Speaker 1: When you get on the other side, you're gonna look
- 10:53Speaker 1: back at this and go, man, you know what I did.
- 10:56Speaker 1: This came about and that came about. But you got
- 10:59Speaker 1: to be looking for the blessing. To receive the blessing.

- 11:42Speaker 1: I'm got to start using lotion shop. I mean, you know, y'all,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know you wash your hands so many times. I
- 11:51Speaker 1: just I got lotion next to all the dispenser, but
- 11:53Speaker 1: I just walk off. I looked at my hands a
- 11:56Speaker 1: day I was outside. I looked at my hands a
- 11:58Speaker 1: day I thought I had some shoes. I said, how's
- 12:04Speaker 1: my feet up? Here? About my get up like this?
- 12:11Speaker 1: They're not getting my foot up my thigh like this. Wow,
- 12:15Speaker 1: I catch myself that ship. Damn I got. I gotta
- 12:20Speaker 1: win the house and some lotion on because I've washed
- 12:24Speaker 1: my hands so many times about putting lotion on. It's
- 12:29Speaker 1: not ash. They dry yeah, drawn, they dry out. Yeah yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I found out how to wash them the right way,
- 12:38Speaker 1: dog like the doctor. Yeah, I've learned that to the elbows.
- 12:42Speaker 1: You mean, yeah, that's into the elbow. Yeah. Just finger
- 12:46Speaker 1: tips and how you wash your thumb, isn't it They
- 12:48Speaker 1: show to the elbow up here at this here house. Yeah,
- 12:54Speaker 1: like we're doing brain, What are you doing with your
- 12:58Speaker 1: foe on man, I'm on here to cut up a salad?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Why as we like we fit the due back surgery
- 13:05Speaker 1: go ahead? And somebody's lutirous all the way up to
- 13:11Speaker 1: my damn ale boat? What is we working on horses
- 13:15Speaker 1: in here? I feel like doctor Pool. You you know
- 13:22Speaker 1: doctor Pool, that medical doctor with amand hand. And that's
- 13:29Speaker 1: how I feel, all right, Steve coming up at thirty
- 13:32Speaker 1: two minutes Hollins all the way up to on the own.
- 13:36Speaker 1: It as the CEO, the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey
- 13:40Speaker 1: in the building when we come back right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening Steven show. It is time now for ask
- 13:48Speaker 1: the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey. We have some
- 13:52Speaker 1: good questions from Steve Harvey FM dot Com. Keep them coming, people,
- 13:57Speaker 1: keep them coming. This one is from Nicki and day
- 14:00Speaker 1: Ohio Steve day oh oh Oh Patterson Patterson co Op
- 14:08Speaker 1: will be right air fourth base for me down there.
- 14:12Speaker 1: They can go all right, it says Nikki says, I'm
- 14:16Speaker 1: a thirty seven year old UH woman and My father
- 14:21Speaker 1: hooked me up with a decent man and I've been
- 14:23Speaker 1: dating him for seven months. He works hard and he
- 14:27Speaker 1: is a great man, but he's not the one for me.
- 14:31Speaker 1: We started having sex a month ago and there were
- 14:33Speaker 1: no sparks at all. I know that this is a
- 14:37Speaker 1: type of man I should be with, but I prefer
- 14:40Speaker 1: a street savvy guy with a little edge to him,
- 14:43Speaker 1: great in the bed, but still loves the Lord. What's
- 14:46Speaker 1: wrong with me? Do you think I'm going to miss
- 14:49Speaker 1: out on a good thing because of what I prefer
- 14:51Speaker 1: in a man, Street savvy, edge and love the Lord. Yeah, okay, okay,
- 15:03Speaker 1: let me get it right. You want street savvy, edge,
- 15:07Speaker 1: love the Lord, and great in bed. Check check right.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But I'm assuming you have a great man who just
- 15:16Speaker 1: for you ain't great in bed. Yeah, pretty much. Y'all
- 15:20Speaker 1: could work on the sex part, but you're thirty seven,
- 15:25Speaker 1: so you're gonna pass on this man because y'all could
- 15:28Speaker 1: have better sex and it could happen. So I would reconsider,
- 15:34Speaker 1: because I don't know how long you've been out there
- 15:37Speaker 1: on this grind looking for this man, This good man
- 15:41Speaker 1: and all is here. But if you want to get
- 15:43Speaker 1: back out there and see what else is out there?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Go ahead, But there are a lot of people on
- 15:47Speaker 1: this on this listening that would tell you to work
- 15:51Speaker 1: on that. First, you've been with him seven months. I
- 15:53Speaker 1: put some effort into seeing if y'all can't stretch it
- 15:56Speaker 1: stretched straight out this sexual problem first for you go
- 15:59Speaker 1: throwing this a man back in the trade. What's she
- 16:02Speaker 1: gonna tell her daddy why they broke up? Well, Daddy,
- 16:05Speaker 1: you know I liked him and everything, you know, like
- 16:07Speaker 1: he was everything you said he was. But damn Daddy,
- 16:11Speaker 1: this man right, he couldn't He couldn't carol a toe
- 16:14Speaker 1: if he if I put it in a tight shoe. Yes,
- 16:20Speaker 1: all right, Steve. This one's from Caroline. Caroline in Greenville, Mississippi.
- 16:24Speaker 1: She says, I am sixty two years old and about
- 16:27Speaker 1: nine months ago, I started dating a man that I
- 16:30Speaker 1: dated in high school. We're both divorced, and he told
- 16:33Speaker 1: me he was looking for a good Christian woman. We're
- 16:36Speaker 1: both seeking a stronger relationship with God. But we slipped
- 16:39Speaker 1: up and had sex a few times. After the first
- 16:42Speaker 1: time we had sex, he told me he wants to
- 16:45Speaker 1: marry me. That made me feel better about us having
- 16:48Speaker 1: sex before marriage. He hasn't talked about marriage in a
- 16:51Speaker 1: few months now, but he still wants sex. Do you
- 16:54Speaker 1: think he brought up marriage so I would keep having
- 16:56Speaker 1: sex with him? I'm too old for games. Uh, it
- 17:00Speaker 1: ain't no game. It's happened before. This ain't no game.
- 17:04Speaker 1: This happened before, So this is not new. How old
- 17:10Speaker 1: do you have to be before you understand that? Men
- 17:13Speaker 1: tell you what they think you want to hear first,
- 17:18Speaker 1: then after that, then we tell you what makes us
- 17:21Speaker 1: sound best next, and if you keep persisting, we'll tell
- 17:25Speaker 1: you the truth. You didn't persist, You just ran up
- 17:28Speaker 1: into your old guy from high school. Y'all was both divorced,
- 17:32Speaker 1: love the Lord, want a close relationship with the Lord.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Both y'all have sex a bunch of times, so you know,
- 17:39Speaker 1: So y'all just in here, just you know. I don't
- 17:43Speaker 1: know what y'all doing with it, but you know, just
- 17:45Speaker 1: come on now, you're too old for games. For games.
- 17:47Speaker 1: He ain't about a marriage no more because he won't
- 17:50Speaker 1: get married. We know how to give you all that is, man. Yeah,
- 18:00Speaker 1: all right. This one's from Brian and Atlanta. Stephen says,
- 18:03Speaker 1: I'm a single, middle aged man and my best friend
- 18:06Speaker 1: is a female. She has had me in the friend
- 18:09Speaker 1: zone for years, but I'm in love with her. I
- 18:12Speaker 1: have told her this and she says she loves me too,
- 18:15Speaker 1: but she's not in love with me. Bottom line is
- 18:18Speaker 1: she wants a man with a lot of money and
- 18:19Speaker 1: that's not me. We do everything together like we're a couple,
- 18:23Speaker 1: but she won't date me. How can I show her
- 18:25Speaker 1: that money is not all that matters? Clo, I don't
- 18:29Speaker 1: know how? Okay, who show her? Yeah? How can I
- 18:52Speaker 1: show her that money is not all that matters? Get
- 18:55Speaker 1: to show her? How? He doesn't give his age? He's
- 19:03Speaker 1: middle aged, middle aged man, thirty to fifty third thirty
- 19:10Speaker 1: at middle middle aged? He ain't middle aged? See what
- 19:15Speaker 1: a man don't tell you his age? He up, and
- 19:20Speaker 1: he tried to explain why he ain't done yet. That's why,
- 19:24Speaker 1: because dudes ain't No, I'm a middle aged man and
- 19:26Speaker 1: how do now you fifty? How do I get How
- 19:32Speaker 1: do I get out of money? Money is not all
- 19:40Speaker 1: that matters? It ain't listen to me. He's in love
- 19:47Speaker 1: with I know, I know, with a lot of money,
- 19:52Speaker 1: and that's not me, he says. When I got that right, man,
- 20:00Speaker 1: keep it moving well, you said it best. That's just
- 20:04Speaker 1: not you and so well, bro, listen to me, man,
- 20:09Speaker 1: you know, man you had in the friend zone. I
- 20:11Speaker 1: told y'all men ain't really trying to be your friends.
- 20:13Speaker 1: But you know you had any friends. How do I
- 20:17Speaker 1: get hurder? Believe money is not all that matters. Well,
- 20:22Speaker 1: you're gonna have to excel into other things. Brother, You're
- 20:26Speaker 1: gonna have to every other thing I'm talking about. You're
- 20:33Speaker 1: gonna have to get good at every other damn thing
- 20:37Speaker 1: and overshadow the fact. Man in the words, in the
- 20:46Speaker 1: words of the Great Fight Trainer, you can do it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Rock all right? Listen. Coming up next, the nephew is
- 20:56Speaker 1: in the building with run that brank back. Right after
- 20:59Speaker 1: this You're listening show coming up at the top of
- 21:04Speaker 1: the hour, miss Anne will be here with today's national
- 21:07Speaker 1: coronavirus news update. We have some entertainment news for you. Yesterday,
- 21:11Speaker 1: Drake posted a picture of his baby boy. He hasn't
- 21:15Speaker 1: done that. Before we get to to run that prank back, Steve,
- 21:18Speaker 1: did you want to just quickly give an answer once
- 21:21Speaker 1: again to this man who asked the CLO about the
- 21:24Speaker 1: money question earlier. She wants a man with a lot
- 21:27Speaker 1: of money. He says it's not him. How can he
- 21:29Speaker 1: sure that money is not? Well? First of all, you
- 21:32Speaker 1: gotta take yourself out of that that line right there
- 21:36Speaker 1: when you say it. You want a man with some money,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and that's just not me. If you want to know
- 21:41Speaker 1: what you can do to get her to see that
- 21:44Speaker 1: money ain't everything, Listen to me, bro, You've got to
- 21:47Speaker 1: find a way to convince her of this. Right here.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I may not have everything, but I'll give you anything.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I will do for you all that is in my
- 21:57Speaker 1: earthly power. There's nothing you can't ask me for that
- 22:02Speaker 1: I won't try to make happen for you. Yl don't no,
- 22:04Speaker 1: don't no. Woman won't know. Man, that sounds like that.
- 22:08Speaker 1: You know I'd be able to lift it, but that
- 22:10Speaker 1: just ain't me. Ye, Well, I would go over there us, Yeah,
- 22:15Speaker 1: I would. I would say something to the men about you,
- 22:18Speaker 1: but that just ain't me. All Right, you're right, Clo,
- 22:22Speaker 1: you've redeemed yourself. Come on, nephew, it's time to run that.

- 38:23Speaker 1: at risk, older people, especially for no reason. And this dude,
- 38:30Speaker 1: he got five buses that go out to different parishes
- 38:34Speaker 1: and counties to bring people in and and and they
- 38:38Speaker 1: have worship services in different buildings based on your age group.

- 54:08Speaker 1: We got it for you here it is. It's sharp
- 54:10Speaker 1: every letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject I walked in on
- 54:13Speaker 1: my son. Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a happily married
- 54:18Speaker 1: woman in my mid thirties and my husband and I
- 54:22Speaker 1: have a son and daughter. My son is fifteen years
- 54:25Speaker 1: old and my daughter is eight years old. We have
- 54:28Speaker 1: all been cooped up in the house, but my son
- 54:30Speaker 1: has found a new way to keep himself occupied. I
- 54:34Speaker 1: found out that he watches porn on his phone. He's
- 54:38Speaker 1: been up in his room day and night, and I
- 54:40Speaker 1: was worried about him. So I barged into his room
- 54:43Speaker 1: the other day to check on him. As I walked in,
- 54:46Speaker 1: I heard loud panting and moaning, and he was just
- 54:49Speaker 1: as startled as I was. One of his hands was
- 54:52Speaker 1: holding his phone and the other hand was, well, you
- 54:57Speaker 1: know where the other hand was. I told him to
- 55:00Speaker 1: let me see what he was watching, and it was
- 55:02Speaker 1: some kind of sight with all sorts of sex stuff
- 55:05Speaker 1: on it. I told him that it was illegal to
- 55:07Speaker 1: look at that stuff because he was under eighteen. I
- 55:10Speaker 1: asked him to come out and spend more time with
- 55:13Speaker 1: the family, and I threatened to take his phone from
- 55:15Speaker 1: him if he ever went back on that site. I
- 55:18Speaker 1: never told his father about what happened because I thought
- 55:21Speaker 1: my son would be ashamed. A couple of days went
- 55:24Speaker 1: by and my son was still up in his room
- 55:26Speaker 1: all day and all night, and I kept asking him
- 55:30Speaker 1: to watch a movie with us. My husband told me
- 55:33Speaker 1: to stop nagging our son and let him have his
- 55:36Speaker 1: alone time. He explained to me that our son is
- 55:38Speaker 1: going through the rights of passage to manhood, and what
- 55:42Speaker 1: he's doing in his room is none of my business.
- 55:44Speaker 1: He said he had Playboy magazines when he was young,
- 55:47Speaker 1: but now everything's online, so it's easy access. I was
- 55:51Speaker 1: shocked that he supported my son's behavior. But I planned
- 55:54Speaker 1: to let him lead on this. On this one, Steve,
- 55:58Speaker 1: is this a normal thing for teenage boy? Surely should
- 56:01Speaker 1: I stay out of it? I need some advice. Well,
- 56:04Speaker 1: as a mom, I don't think you should stay out
- 56:07Speaker 1: of it, well, at least not all the way. I mean,
- 56:09Speaker 1: he is your son too. I do think you should
- 56:12Speaker 1: have a serious conversation with your son. Let him know
- 56:15Speaker 1: how you feel about what he's doing, about the porn
- 56:17Speaker 1: and all of that. Let him know that porn can
- 56:20Speaker 1: be as addictive as any drug. And at his age,
- 56:24Speaker 1: you know, he should take it a little slower so
- 56:26Speaker 1: he might not be too advanced, you know, and get
- 56:29Speaker 1: bored with girls his own age. As his mom, I mean,
- 56:34Speaker 1: you still have to do your due diligence, your your
- 56:36Speaker 1: job and parent him, whether he listens to you or not.
- 56:40Speaker 1: And even if your husband goes against you, I think
- 56:44Speaker 1: that's all you can do. And and yes, as far
- 56:47Speaker 1: as as far as him growing up to be a
- 56:51Speaker 1: man and all of that, yeah, I think that does
- 56:53Speaker 1: have a lot to do with his father. That is
- 56:55Speaker 1: when his father should step up and step in, you know,
- 56:58Speaker 1: to do his part allowing him to watch porn and
- 57:02Speaker 1: calling it a rite of passage is one thing. But
- 57:06Speaker 1: he definitely should make sure that your son knows how
- 57:10Speaker 1: to treat women, how to appreciate women, and all of that,
- 57:13Speaker 1: because porn does not teach that, Dad, and you know that.
- 57:16Speaker 1: All right, Steve, great answer, Shirley, really really good answer.
- 57:25Speaker 1: All right. Let me straighten a couple of things out
- 57:29Speaker 1: happily married you and your mid thirties, ma'am. You and
- 57:31Speaker 1: your husband have a son and a daughter. Your son fifteen,
- 57:34Speaker 1: daughter eight. We've been cooped up in the house. We
- 57:37Speaker 1: don't quarantine the boy in school. We locked up in hill.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Now you say that your son had found a new
- 57:49Speaker 1: way to keep himself occupied. I want to share something
- 57:53Speaker 1: with you. It's ain't new. I just want you to
- 57:57Speaker 1: know that right now, Saint new found out that he
- 58:01Speaker 1: watches pawn on his phone. That's a sad part of
- 58:05Speaker 1: the world we live in. What you used to stop
- 58:07Speaker 1: your kids from doing, now they can google it. It's there.
- 58:11Speaker 1: He's been up in his room day and night, and
- 58:15Speaker 1: I'm worried about him. So I banged on his door
- 58:17Speaker 1: the other day to check on him. I walk in,
- 58:19Speaker 1: I heard loud panting and moaning. He was just as
- 58:22Speaker 1: startled as I was. Now, he was way more shocked
- 58:26Speaker 1: than you. It wasn't an equal surprise. He was stunned.
- 58:34Speaker 1: One of his hands was holding the phone and the
- 58:37Speaker 1: other one was well, you know where The other hand
- 58:40Speaker 1: was yes, yes, ma'am, we do. Yes. All the guys
- 58:45Speaker 1: on the show, yeah, everybody, yeah, yeah. I told him
- 58:50Speaker 1: to let me see what he was watching, and it
- 58:54Speaker 1: was some kind of sight with all sorts of sex
- 58:56Speaker 1: stuff on it. I told him it was illegal to
- 59:00Speaker 1: look at that stuff because he under eighteen. What what?
- 59:04Speaker 1: That's what you told him? You told this boy with
- 59:12Speaker 1: both his hands occupied, what you're doing is illegal because
- 59:17Speaker 1: you're supposed to be eighteen on that site. Well guess what,
- 59:23Speaker 1: he ain't eighteen. He owned the site and he participated.
- 59:33Speaker 1: He needs you to get out this room right now.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Immediate said, yeah, eyes, you're standing here talking. I told him.
- 59:48Speaker 1: I asked him to come out and spend more time
- 59:51Speaker 1: with the family, and I threatened to take his phone
- 59:54Speaker 1: from him. If he ever went back on that site,
- 59:57Speaker 1: your son would have killed it self. Your child would
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: kill itself if you take that damn phone. That's how
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: serious it is. Steve, While we quarantine and come down
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: here and spend time with the family, ain't none of y'all, NIKEL. Yeah,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: So when I come back, we'll just finished this letter.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Deserves finish, all right, Steve. We'll have part two of
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters subject I walked in on my son
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: will get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to show, all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject I walked in on my son. Well,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the fifteen year old boy that found some tap found
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: a way to occupy himself while he on quarantine. The
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: boarding found on his phone up poll in sight. The
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: mother is upset. She walked in the room, caught him
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: holding the phone in one hand and holding the reason
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: he was on the phone in the other hand. He
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: was shocked. No, he was stunned. You were shocked. You
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: looked at told him it's it's illegal for him, this
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: boy on the site. You told him it was illegal
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: to look at that because you're supposed to be eighteen.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: This boy going, I'm on it, I'm fifteen and I'm participate.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I asked him to come out and spend more time
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: with the family, and I threatened to take his phone
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: from him. If he ever went back on that site.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Your boy would have killed itself. Here we are, we
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: quarantine mama. We go to the school that they're doing
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: our online training. So I got my own online training.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I never told his father about what happened because I
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: thought my son would be a shame. Look at you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: know a couple of days when by and my son
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: was still up in his room. You know why, because
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: he didn't give a damn what you said. We're still
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: up here. All I need now is a lock on
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: this damn dope. All day and all night, I'm fifteen,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I'm back to back to back to back. I can't
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: run out of bullets. It ain't no way. This is
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: all day, all night. Who is she? I've never seen
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: of it? Oh God, I love you too. This is
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: the mind of a fifteen year old boy, but the
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: right night of a thirty year old man. And so
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: my husband. All day and night, I kept asking him
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: to watch a movie with us, y'all. I got him.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Movie's Better Daddy Coming over the shoe Pool. Oh Man,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Brenda bakes cookies in her braw The boy watching movies.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: My husband told me to stop nagging our son and
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: let him have his alone time. He explained to me
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: that our son is going through the rights of passage
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: in the manhood, and what he's doing in his room
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: is none of my business. See, his daddyn't know what
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: he in the door. Yeah, his daddy know if he
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: had a phone back then, what he'd have been doing.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: A matter of fact, his daddy had a phone back then. Hell,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: this ain't me when I was fifteen. This your husband
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: and his mid thirties. When he was fifteen, he had
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: a phone in his room. He did what he was
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: doing in his room, and he said today none of
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: your business. He said he had Playboy magazines. When he
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: was he had a phone too. Yeah, but now everything's
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: online so it's easy access. I was shocked that he
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: supported my son's behavior. Listen to me. I hate to
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: tell you this, but he's probably proud of you boy. Proud. Yeah,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: he really was, probably bout it. It's probably probably probably
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: proud of this son because he knows what his son doing.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: He liked the fact that his son interested in girls.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: All that right there. That's that's not surely what you
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: said about it. It It don't teach respect, it don't. It
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: don't teach you good sexual habits, it don't. But it
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: do have that boy in that room all day and
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: all night. If he upstairs, he and outside, get in
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: your trouble. Oh we have with a magazine. Oh but
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I plan to let him lead on this when, Steve,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: is this normal thing for teenage boys. It's so damn normal.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: You don't even understand how normal it is. Yes, it's normal.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: It's life changing, it is. It's altering now. It's happening
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: earlier for these boys than it did for us. But yes,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: it's very normal. Yeah, easy access. My brothers had Playboy magazine,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: but they had moved out by time out of fifteen.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I had to go over their house to see them,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: didn't you, Steve? I like, yeah, see is J. C.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Penny catalogs. I look at the women's section being there
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: all day. What you're using that? Looking at that magazine
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: for toys for Christmas? Yeah? Yeah, I want this white
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: lady and this black lady for Christmas? What I want
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: both of them equally as fine? What? No? What? No
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: exotic poses or nothing. Then my mama went in there
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: behind me one day and why at the fingerprints on
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: his brawls. I got my beat, I got my air
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: beat with to see his catalog. Yeah, so it's really uh,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: let your husband handle this. Let him talk to your
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: son about the correct behavior, how to be respectful to women.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: That's not real Women don't act that way in real life,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: and you can't expect to treat a woman that way
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: in real life. And let him have that talk with him.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: All right, Steve, thank you again. Post for comments on
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: today Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and then check out the Strawberry Let the podcast on demand.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: You're coming up at forty six minutes after the hour.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: We have a fun discussion about the last TV show
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: or movie that we watched. We'll talk about it right
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right? We are at home, Okay,
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: everybody's obeying hopefully the stay at home orders. Hanging out
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: with the family, watching movies, et cetera. So here's the question.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: You're now in the world of the last movie or
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: TV show you watched. So where are you all right? Steve?
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I watched The King? What what's the last movie you watched?
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: The last TV show? We know you watched The Tiger King. Yeah,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: the last, the last movie. You've never lasted movies in
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: your life? Had Hey, no, i'm watching I thought was
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: brand new. Oh what's that movie? City of God? Oh? Really? Yeah?
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: That was years A. Yeah, that was a good movie.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: I watched that, and I watched uh, Spencer, but I
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: gotta go back. I didn't finish that. What's Spencer new
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: movie about this? Dude? That was a No, that ain't
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: what that was? What Matt Damon is? Oh yeah that's
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Mark Wahlberg, Yeah yeah, Mark Walberg. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I watched that. I fell asleep. M yeah, that's happening
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: to love, okay, because I ain't got no way to go,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: so I just go to sleep, wake up. I'll be
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: waking up in two o'clock in the morning, go back
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: to watch something. I don't know what to do with myself.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: That's our new normal, Steve, it is it is it is? Man. Yeah,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: what are you watching, Junior? Good Times? Are you serious?
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I'm serious, man, that's what you're right now? Chicago, right this,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Chicago got the goodness? I got qualified that eppisode, boy,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: are you watching it? From the time episode Okay, you're
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: going throwback. Yeah, yeah, ain't back all right, nephew. I
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: am at the beginning of Ozark season three, so where
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I'm ok but it's Missouri. Yeah, do you like it?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: It's good. I just like Steve, I fell asleep on
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: the first episode, so I got to go back and
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: start over again. So it's a lot of that catch
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: twenty minutes, fall asleep, wake up. It's at the end.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: You got to rewind it. What are My biggest problem is?
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: My biggest problem is these late night trips. Did refrigerate?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: That's my problem everything. I'm making a sandwich left nas.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: We're sitting over here like we're in our hurricane. That's
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: how Houston sitting, all right, Guys coming up. At the
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: top of the hour, Harry and Meghan respond to President
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Trump about their security bill and they plan to move
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: to LA We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. President Trump took time out from
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: giving coronavirus updates to insist the US will not pay
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: for Prince Harry and Megan Markle's security following reports that
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: the couple has moved to Los Angeles. Now. On Sunday,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Trump tweeted that he's a great friend and admirer of
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: the Queen and of the Queen and the United Kingdom.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: But now that Harry and Megan have left Canada for
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the US, the US will not pay for their security protection.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: They must pay. A spokesperson for Harry and Megan said
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: in a statement that they have no plans to ask
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the US government for security resources and have arranged for
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: private security detail. Today the two will probably set down
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: everything going on to tweet about it though. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: the rest of these ventilators working in masks and take
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: care of the healthcare workers. Yeah, hospital of bands, we
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: need what Harry fun got up and started rambling the president,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I mean, what is going on? Just can't focus on nothing,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: nothing for five minutes. Look, I want him to be
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: presidential through this so we can get some things resolved.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: But I do not want people to forget a huge
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: problem that we're having right now. It's because of a
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: couple of reasons. He dissolved the Pandemic Global Task Force
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: that Obama had enacted him and Joe Biden. He got
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: in and disband that they would have had of us
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: ahead of this. The second thing he did was he
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: didn't take it seriously in the beginning. It was a
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: The pandemic was a hoax, a democratic hope trying to
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: make a big deal of this. Yeah, and so those
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: two things right there have this country as as as
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: well off as we are, the richest nation on earth
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: with the most resources, were behind the eight ball because
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: of it. And after this is Overwit now, I want
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: to support this guy to get everything done we need
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: to get done. But after this, I want everybody to
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: remember those two things. Yeah, don't forget, because how quickly
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: we forget we do. Once it's over, we'll forget. Yeah,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: especially checks and all that. Don't forget. Now are these
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: one time checks? Yeah, one time check, Steve, one time
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: a baby. Nancy Pelosi said that they may have to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: do another stimulus package after this. How much is the
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: airlines one time chick part of the point two trillion? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: well we need the airline so those people work too,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: So it's it's both. They need to take care of everybody. Yeah,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I say people first, then the corporations. That's what I
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: thank you. I think I have the small business people.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, everybody, yeah, everybody. Yeah, everybody's been affected and
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: will continue to be affected by this pandemic. I watched
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Tucker Carson last night, and uh, they're almost ridiculous over
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: there because he made a statement. He says, the politicians
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: in New in DC would love nothing more than for
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: this to get out of hand. And I went, but
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: I don't know nobody. People dying, dying? Are you crazy?
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: But that's the thing that Fox does to put little
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: stuff in there people's head about. Democrats want this thing
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: to get out of hand. Democrats don't want to give
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: the president credit. Oh man, I don't know nobody that
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: wants this to continue. I don't know anyone, but they
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: know how to put that little stuff in They followers heads. Man,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: they deep Steve. But it's just like what you said
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: at the beginning. He needs to own what he did
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: at the beginning. We're in this situation because you didn't
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: take it seriously. He's not going to do that. Oh no, no,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: he always rides down. Yeah yeah, all right, coming up
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: more of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: We'll be back at twenty minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to show, all right, news from
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Walmart is that they're reporting a surge in people buying
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: new shirts, and no one seems to be buying pants though.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Walmart executive Dan Bartlett told Yahoo Finance quote, more people
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: are doing zoom conferencing. We're seeing increased sales and tops,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: but not in the bottom. Yeah, I doubt going to
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: work nice new shirts, but I'm I'm I'm all kind
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: of dressed. Yeah. People, people are are concerned, obviously from
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the waist up. One of the advantages of working from home,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: of course, is that you don't have to get fully
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: dressed up or go to the officer or anything, and
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: many mirror behind him. I have in my p chase
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: right now. I'm not gonna lie I have. It's early
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: in the morning, right, we're at home. I want me
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: to be honest, man, what are you see? I'm going
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: to love a chin. I'm stop, all right, Come on, nephew,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: We hurry. Yeah, we don't have much time with a
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: tank top on. We'll have more of this ignorant morning
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: show and some trending news at thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this, put some clothes on. You're
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: listening show Tiger King, Murder, Mayhem and Madness. It is
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: one of the shows strangeness that you yeah, that you
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: ask yourself, why am I watching this ability, Tommy Tommins,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I've seen the whole thing, Steve, Yeah, yeah, hey man,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: you take me and Marge about three three four days
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: to get through it, so we came falling asleep. Boy. Well,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I mean because you know I ain't got to watch
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: it where I got to go right right? Yeah time, Yeah,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: like I got to hear him watch it, and now
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: they didn't extended it for thirty more days. So now
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna go back and watch a piece that I missed.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: But you guess to watch Tiger Key. Let me feel
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: me explaining something why y'all need to watch it. If
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: you think something wrong with your life, damn it, it
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: ain't after you watch Tiger Key if you fit to
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: go feel a whole lot better. But whatever happened in
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: your life, I don't care what your kids came in
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: and told you. I don't care what your mate said
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: to you. If you watch Tiger King, You're gonna go what.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I've never seen anything like it ever, haven't even watched
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: all I've seen some of the episodes. Yes, just me
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: and Josha. Just look at each other say yeah you
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: can and you have time, like Steve said, to take
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: your time. It is crazy. Once I started, I couldn't stop, can't.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: I've never seen anything like this before. Tigers. They even
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: have ligers where they you know they cross breed the
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: lion with the Tigers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, ligers. I mean
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: they had everything and see and let me tell you something.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I didn't know that what he said one time, because
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you know they can't get that line. I set up,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: y'all set up, I said, okay, hold up, yeah, I said,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: I said, let me play something. This series fitn' be over.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: You don't even understand black people hit is here? Y'all
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: think y'all worried about this Corona? Yeah, gosh, man crazy.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Junior was the one that mentioned it first though. Junior was, Man, yeah,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I couldn't believe I was gonna watch it. I've never
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: seen that like that. Yeah said it. That's my next
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: thing to watch. Yeah, people went missing is talking. You
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: have to hit it. I mean they have you had
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: to hit it. Yes, several wives, a man who has
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: two husbands. Uh, what it's about, Shirley? So I love Steve.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Go ahead and tell him Steve like you're here. It's
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: about imaging the whole day. That is about imaging. It's
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: about if you got to see it. You ain't seen
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: this before, and you need to cut it on and
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: see it. Coming up our last break of the day,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: and of course break up the day. Yes, and of
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: course some closing remarks from the one and Only Steve
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour, right after this.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve. Here we are the last
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: break of the day. It's been a good day. It's
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: been a good day, yes, answer her, stay at home. Yeah,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: it's been a great day. Yeah, day, your great day
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: of being your drug right here. Cannot revisit that shell
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: we yea still stuck some people on the show. All right, Steve,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: come on time for you. In your closing remarks, hey,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: you know, um, I touched on it yesterday. But in
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: my closing remarks, like I've been trying to really focus
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: and give people a reason to look up. You know,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: this crisis that we're all going through is something that
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: we're all going through. I keep hearing people say I
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: don't know what I'm going to do. I feel stuck
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: in here. I'm about to go crazy. These kids is
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: on my nerves and I just hear complaint after complaint
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: after complaint, and listen. I know it's tough. I know
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: it's tough, but can you not stop for just a moment.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: And I want you know something old people used to
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: say all the time, no matter how bad it is
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: for you, it's worse for someone else. I was thinking
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: the other day, I said, man, the traffic has died
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: down out here in La tremendously. I mean, you could
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: just get in your car and go wherever you want
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: to go. There ain't no traffic. This is a city
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: that's bustling with traffic. Now. I haven't been anywhere, but
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I watch the news and look at the sky views
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: of the city and all like this, and a couple
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: of people I know moving around picking stuff up at stores,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: and they talk about how you can just drive where
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: you want to drive. That's what I'm taking it from.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: But I was thinking the other day there's a homeless
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: guy that sometimes when I'm coming from work at night,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: he or she is on the corner and sometimes I
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: roll the window down if I'm at the light, because
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I just can't take somebody right at my window. I
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: gotta give them something, you know, if they right at
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: my window now, you know, now if I'm further up
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: in the line, you may not make it to me
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: or whatever. But I see this person out here often,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: and I was thinking, man, since traffic has died down,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: what what's happening with these homeless people? What happens to
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: the people who have given up for whatever the reason.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: Ain't my job to judge and outside asking for help
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: with a sign? What what's happening with them? Because you know,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: even if a person pull up at the light right now,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: ain'tybody rolling the window down no more? You know, you
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: really can't run that risk. So I was just thinking
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: the other day, what do the really really less fortunate
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: do in a time like They're losing volunteers at the
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: shelters to pass out the food. People are going hungry
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: because they have less volunteers. There's a shortage of people
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: giving blood right now. I mean, I think about shelters, man,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: What are these people doing who depend on shelters for
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: where they live? What are they doing for social distancing?
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: I'm just sitting here going wild. What do the less
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: fortunate do in a time like this? What do poor
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: schools do that don't have the capability to live stream,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: they lessen to their kids. What are they doing? You see?
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: So as we sit up and complain, you gotta think
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: that somebody having it a little bit harder than you.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: So instead of complaining all the time, why don't we
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: turn around and try to find the upside in this?
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Because there is an up side this. Like I said yesterday,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: weren't in the middle of a crisis. There's a lot
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: of us that's in the middle of a miracle. And
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: like I said yesterday, I got from Joel Olds team
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: when Pharaoh was chasing Moses and the people across the
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: red seeing God pointed the waters and people must have
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: been scared running through that parted sea with all that
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: wind blowing, that loud noise and that water looking like
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: he could come down any minute. And they trying to
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: save their babies, and they homeless people, and they thought
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: they was in the middle of a huge crisis. And
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: then they looked back and Pharaoh got up behind them
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: with the chairs and was chasing them. And people was
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: running as hard as they can in the middle of
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: a crisis. And they made it, all of them, every
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: last one of them. Made it to the other side,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: and then God called claws the water to close in
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: and Pharaoh them was drowned. Well, they wasn't in the
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: middle of a crisis. They were actually in the middle
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: of a miracle. See what's happening right now. It's gonna
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: have some miraculous results for a lot of people. But
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: to see miracles, you got to look for miracles. Stop
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: looking at the negative in everything, man, get your head
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: up and look for something in the positive. They've extended
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: this lockdown in this country. It's no longer Easter or
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the fourteenth like they told us on Family I few,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: we'll be back on the fourteenth nowhere not. They've automatically
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: extended this lockdown to the thirtieth. So we know it's
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: the thirtieth now. So instead of griping about it, why
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: don't you be glad about it? Find something to do
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: this positive man. Work out, spend time with your family,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: learn what's really going on in your kids lives, FaceTime
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: for people you haven't talked to in a while. Sit around, man,
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: get busy, learn a language, get some Rosetta stone, go
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: on line, do something. You can't go anywhere now if
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: you're working from home. That's you. But man, do something
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: positive with this time. Don't let this time do you
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: you do the time you are this almost You gotta
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: have the mindset of people who have to serve long time.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: This is it for us. But it's okay because at
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: least we hear and no matter how bad you feeling,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: somebody is way worse soft than you. Think about that
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: before you start complaining about the rest of the lockdown. Okay,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: those are my clothing remarks. Y'all, have a great weekend.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: It's coming, you know, but this weekend. But now y'all
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: see what I go through. This weekend gonna be just
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: like the weekday. So how a good weekday for all.
