- 0:15Speaker 4: Black the million bus busbooz.
- 0:22Speaker 5: Oh yeah, listening to.
- 0:26Speaker 6: Show to.
- 0:39Speaker 5: Joy?
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Joy Great.
- 0:58Speaker 7: You know you.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Turn turn, you gotta turn.
- 1:27Speaker 4: We got to turn the mouth, turn the probably, got
- 1:44Speaker 4: to turn the mouth out the money.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Look me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you'll think.
- 2:01Speaker 8: Huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody, y'all listening to
- 2:06Speaker 8: the voice, come on, dig me now, one and only
- 2:10Speaker 8: Steve Harvey got this radio show. Man, How I got here?
- 2:16Speaker 8: I really can't explain it. Only by the grace of God,
- 2:20Speaker 8: That's all I can really tell you. I was talking
- 2:25Speaker 8: with a buddy the other day and he was telling me.
- 2:27Speaker 8: He said, Man, he had an interesting philosophy about it.
- 2:31Speaker 2: He say. You know, you can have dreams and visions,
- 2:34Speaker 2: he say, but God, God will never show you what
- 2:40Speaker 2: all he has for you.
- 2:43Speaker 8: He won't show you all of it because he knows
- 2:46Speaker 8: you'll mess it up. And you know what, man, I
- 2:50Speaker 8: thought about that, and maw, how true is that?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Okay? I know that I got a radio show. I
- 2:59Speaker 2: didn't see it. It's just become this major blessing for me.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I didn't see it. But if I would have seen
- 3:06Speaker 2: it and known when he had planned on giving.
- 3:10Speaker 8: It to me, I would have messed it up because
- 3:13Speaker 8: number one, my first question would have been to him,
- 3:16Speaker 8: why I got to wait so long? Why don't I
- 3:20Speaker 8: go down hill and start on the radio now? And
- 3:24Speaker 8: then I'll be in radio and then tydd, I see
- 3:28Speaker 8: there God. But see the thing about God is God
- 3:31Speaker 8: don't need your help. Matter of fact, he don't really
- 3:35Speaker 8: want it. All he wants is you to love him
- 3:38Speaker 8: and obey if you can do them two things I
- 3:41Speaker 8: think I could be wrong.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I think he'd be really cool with us. So had
- 3:46Speaker 2: I known.
- 3:48Speaker 8: About these blessings that he had for me, I would
- 3:51Speaker 8: have messed him up because I would have put my
- 3:53Speaker 8: thinking in the figuring process, and that would ejected all up.
- 3:58Speaker 8: That's the first thing I asked you why I got
- 4:00Speaker 8: away so long? And then if he'd ha shown me
- 4:03Speaker 8: what I was gonna have to do to get it,
- 4:06Speaker 8: I would have showed messed that up. Man, I ain't
- 4:08Speaker 8: finna do that. I ain't finna do all of that.
- 4:12Speaker 8: Wait a minute, I got to go through all of
- 4:14Speaker 8: these mishaps in my life. So when I get the
- 4:17Speaker 8: radio show I have something to share. Man, why won't
- 4:22Speaker 8: I just read a couple of books and share that
- 4:24Speaker 8: experience with them?
- 4:25Speaker 9: Now?
- 4:26Speaker 8: See, I want you to know what you're talking about.
- 4:30Speaker 8: I want you to be transparent. I want people to
- 4:33Speaker 8: be able to identify with your struggle and apply they
- 4:36Speaker 8: struggle to it and see that they can get over.
- 4:39Speaker 2: See.
- 4:40Speaker 8: God never shows you all of it because he know
- 4:43Speaker 8: we'll mess it up. I wouldn't have any books, I
- 4:47Speaker 8: certainly please know, I would not be the host of
- 4:49Speaker 8: family few can.
- 4:50Speaker 2: I tell you that?
- 4:53Speaker 8: It is amazing man, how God works. And my invitation
- 4:58Speaker 8: to everybody today is allow God to work. You know,
- 5:03Speaker 8: you can ask him why all you want to, and
- 5:05Speaker 8: from time to time I still do no good for me.
- 5:08Speaker 2: But that'll me old woe is me?
- 5:10Speaker 6: Lord?
- 5:11Speaker 2: Thing that don't really get it for me?
- 5:13Speaker 8: Because when I start asking him why, I'm asking somebody
- 5:16Speaker 8: who has a thought process so high above mind that
- 5:20Speaker 8: there's no way if he told it to me, I.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Wouldn't even get it.
- 5:23Speaker 8: You wouldn't either, Uncle, I'll bright you think you are. Man,
- 5:26Speaker 8: You just ain't gonna get how and why he does
- 5:28Speaker 8: it his way. You're not going to understand it. But
- 5:32Speaker 8: he has a plan for each and every one of us.
- 5:35Speaker 8: And if we adhere to the plan, if we submit
- 5:37Speaker 8: ourself to his will and just say, okay, God, what
- 5:40Speaker 8: you want me to do, I am telling you it
- 5:42Speaker 8: is the best way to live.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:46Speaker 8: You can also do it the way I did it
- 5:48Speaker 8: early on. You can just do what you want to
- 5:51Speaker 8: do and see how it go from now. And I
- 5:54Speaker 8: will tell you from personal experience, it's not going to
- 5:57Speaker 8: go good. You know, my wife and I were talking
- 6:01Speaker 8: the other day and she said something with me, and
- 6:04Speaker 8: I had to write it down. She says, Steve, you
- 6:06Speaker 8: know the funny thing about sin. She says, sining costs
- 6:10Speaker 8: you more than you want to pay and causes you
- 6:13Speaker 8: to stay longer than you want to stay. I asked
- 6:19Speaker 8: my wife where she got that from. She says, some
- 6:21Speaker 8: old person told it to her. She says, sining cost
- 6:24Speaker 8: you more than you want to pay and causes you
- 6:27Speaker 8: to stay longer than you want to stay. That's the problem, man,
- 6:31Speaker 8: about doing what you want to do. Because we are
- 6:33Speaker 8: all sinners. Man, all of us, all of us, every
- 6:36Speaker 8: last one of us are sinners. You will be a
- 6:38Speaker 8: sinner until you die. Now, you could be saved by grace.
- 6:42Speaker 8: But you're going to be a sinner man. You are
- 6:45Speaker 8: going to make mistakes. You are going to in your
- 6:49Speaker 8: life knowingly do wrong. I bet you will. I don't
- 6:54Speaker 8: know who you think you are. I don't know who
- 6:56Speaker 8: you've been listening to. But get this, we are sinners.
- 7:00Speaker 8: We were born into a world that is sinful. Now
- 7:04Speaker 8: it's okay, it's okay, it's our world. But we can
- 7:08Speaker 8: make the best of it because we can form a
- 7:10Speaker 8: relationship with God and we can go to war with
- 7:13Speaker 8: this thing, you know, and we can win. You can
- 7:16Speaker 8: actually get over. Being born into this world is not
- 7:21Speaker 8: an end all. It doesn't mean you're doomed, nah man,
- 7:25Speaker 8: because God is available to give you life, and not
- 7:27Speaker 8: only give you life, but give it to you more abundantly.
- 7:31Speaker 8: I have more of an abundant life than I've ever had.
- 7:35Speaker 8: If you took away the finances, trust and believe, I
- 7:40Speaker 8: have so many things I could tell you that I'm
- 7:42Speaker 8: grateful for. For my wife, for my children, man, for
- 7:47Speaker 8: my family, for the few friends that I have, for
- 7:52Speaker 8: the work that I do, man for the respect that
- 7:56Speaker 8: some people that I feel around some people from the
- 7:59Speaker 8: reputation and I've earned. Now I ain't cool with everybody.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I got that.
- 8:04Speaker 8: I ain't cool with everybody. Everybody ain't cool with me.
- 8:07Speaker 8: Everybody don't like me. Man, get past that right there.
- 8:11Speaker 8: I don't care what you do.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Everybody are gonna like you. Some people didn't like Jesus.
- 8:15Speaker 2: What did he do? What did he do wrong to anybody?
- 8:21Speaker 8: Show it to me where he was just out there,
- 8:24Speaker 8: just messing over folks, and you could justify all that
- 8:28Speaker 8: happened to him.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Just show it to me. But he knew everybody ain't
- 8:32Speaker 2: gonna like me. I just come to save y'all understand.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I got you.
- 8:37Speaker 8: Ain't feeling me. You're gonna spit on me. You're gonna
- 8:40Speaker 8: hang me up there, You're gonna pierce my side. You're
- 8:42Speaker 8: gonna do all that to me. When you get through,
- 8:45Speaker 8: I still love you. That's a powerful statement. Man, God
- 8:49Speaker 8: will take care of you if you form this relationship
- 8:53Speaker 8: with him. He has something for you. He has a
- 8:57Speaker 8: plan for you that is beyond your imagination. He will
- 9:00Speaker 8: give you the desires of your heart. But he also
- 9:03Speaker 8: has some stuff in store for you that you're not
- 9:06Speaker 8: even asking for. That he is willing to ship to
- 9:10Speaker 8: an address that belongs to you as long as you
- 9:14Speaker 8: stay on the right path and are trying your best,
- 9:19Speaker 8: God to ship you the blessing anyway, because please know
- 9:21Speaker 8: He's done it to me. I'm a living witness to this,
- 9:23Speaker 8: that God will ship you blessings and you ain't gonna
- 9:26Speaker 8: be perfect.
- 9:27Speaker 2: But if he know your heart, man, if he.
- 9:29Speaker 8: Know you trying to do better, if he see you
- 9:32Speaker 8: trying to change, if he see you trying to get
- 9:35Speaker 8: it right, he understands that you're gonna stumble all the
- 9:38Speaker 8: way through this thing. But if he know your heart
- 9:42Speaker 8: and he know you trying to get it right, and
- 9:44Speaker 8: you're doing the best you can, board here, ship some
- 9:47Speaker 8: stuff your way.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Man. You really be tripping, man, you will really be tripping.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man. It's crazy, ain't it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Shall.

- 10:10Speaker 8: Let me just gonna get this straight up out the way.
- 10:12Speaker 8: It's quit fooling around with it.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I'm back. Ain't nobody more glad to be back than me.
- 10:20Speaker 7: All it.
- 10:21Speaker 8: Other people on this show more glad to be back
- 10:23Speaker 8: than me is the two sickons on this show, Junior

- 10:34Speaker 8: of Generator. I'm one of God's favorites. I'm just gonna
- 10:36Speaker 8: claim it. Tell you the truth about it. I'm still grateful.
- 10:40Speaker 8: Got up this morning, told God how much I appreciate
- 10:42Speaker 8: it for the ability to be able to go to work.
- 10:46Speaker 8: I get to go to work. I ain't gotta go
- 10:48Speaker 8: to work. I don't have to go to work. I
- 10:51Speaker 8: get to go to work. It's a privilege and honor,
- 10:53Speaker 8: and I show appreciate you God, Steve Harty Morny Show,
- 10:56Speaker 8: Sheldon Strawberry College for Real Mississippi, Monica, Junior, and the
- 10:59Speaker 8: legend that is Nephew Tommy. Well, let me tell you somebody,
- 11:06Speaker 8: I ain't used this voice in a while, this one
- 11:12Speaker 8: right here, this.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I'm my own voice. What's up?
- 11:15Speaker 10: Ju?
- 11:16Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:16Speaker 3: How you feeling?
- 11:18Speaker 8: I guess I've been through enough fire, enough test in
- 11:22Speaker 8: my life to be able to say this.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I don't know what God is doing right now. I
- 11:27Speaker 2: really really don't.
- 11:29Speaker 8: It's not clear to me. One thing has been made
- 11:33Speaker 8: rather obvious to me, or that I do need him.
- 11:37Speaker 8: That's become rather obvious. And he has put me in
- 11:41Speaker 8: a situation where needing him was paramount, and it was
- 11:45Speaker 8: a daily concern of mine. You know, I didn't think
- 11:49Speaker 8: I was gonna leave here nothing, but I just to
- 11:53Speaker 8: just to be here. I just needed him more. Now
- 11:56Speaker 8: the rest of it, I'm not sure about what he's
- 11:58Speaker 8: doing because I don't really know what this was about
- 12:01Speaker 8: right here, not yet, but through all, yeah, I'm just
- 12:07Speaker 8: figuring he gonna reveal it to me right now. I
- 12:11Speaker 8: think it's health related though, because I've been praying for
- 12:13Speaker 8: good health and longevity, and I think this is what
- 12:16Speaker 8: this is. Just to help me get to one O six.
- 12:24Speaker 8: That's the goal I want to Well, no, that's been gone.
- 12:33Speaker 8: They had several hosts and everything.
- 12:36Speaker 2: No, my goal is to.
- 12:38Speaker 8: Live to be one O six. That's my request, a
- 12:41Speaker 8: healthy one o oh okay, yeah, and then after that
- 12:44Speaker 8: he's gonna do what he want to do with me.
- 12:47Speaker 2: But that's the goal.
- 12:49Speaker 8: Now, that's just a request. You know, his will be done,
- 12:53Speaker 8: but that's the request. So you know, if I shoot
- 12:56Speaker 8: for one O six and I make one O two.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You know, yeah, you got madh no nice ride.
- 13:04Speaker 10: You know.
- 13:08Speaker 1: What's the significance of six?
- 13:11Speaker 8: When I was sixty six, I figured I needed forty
- 13:13Speaker 8: more years. I wouldn't I just sixty six is when
- 13:17Speaker 8: I came up with this number because I needed forty
- 13:20Speaker 8: more years. Because you know, people say you live longer
- 13:22Speaker 8: than you got left. Well, I needed a little bit.
- 13:26Speaker 8: I needed my longer to be longer.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yes, longer to be longer.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yeah, hight, I'm here. Let's goach, chill.

- 14:51Speaker 5: to be displaying my portfolio got all of my drawings
- 14:55Speaker 5: within it, but I have one drawing that I am
- 14:57Speaker 5: looking to display that I have not put on canvas yet,
- 15:01Speaker 5: and I'm looking to take something of essence to put
- 15:05Speaker 5: on canvas, and I wanted to call you about getting permission.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Well wait, hold on, just to stop me right now,
- 15:10Speaker 5: I don't do that.
- 15:11Speaker 13: I am not a model.
- 15:12Speaker 5: That's not my profession, so you would not waste your
- 15:15Speaker 5: time no more, you know what I'm saying. Just mister,
- 15:19Speaker 5: I don't think you understand that my showing is going
- 15:22Speaker 5: to have some very important people there. I am, like
- 15:25Speaker 5: I said before, with Art Institute, I said, I don't
- 15:30Speaker 5: do that.
- 15:30Speaker 13: That's not me.
- 15:31Speaker 5: I mean, I hat you know what was you just
- 15:33Speaker 5: calling folks up? You a solicitors? I mean y'all just
- 15:36Speaker 5: randomly picking our folks and trying trying to get them
- 15:38Speaker 5: the model. Look, mister, no, I'm not just randomly calling people.
- 15:44Speaker 5: I actually have done research in order to give your number.
- 15:47Speaker 5: What I'm doing is I'm not calling you as far
- 15:51Speaker 5: being a model that I'm going to portray on canvas,
- 15:54Speaker 5: but you have something far more greater visually that I
- 15:58Speaker 5: would like to behold on kanvas. Now you're married to
- 16:03Speaker 5: your wife? Is am I correct?
- 16:05Speaker 10: The whole world?
- 16:06Speaker 5: Whoa whoa dog?
- 16:07Speaker 7: No? For who is this seriously?
- 16:09Speaker 5: Because I could get my number?
- 16:10Speaker 7: No, I get my number because you're talking about my
- 16:12Speaker 7: wife and stuff.
- 16:14Speaker 10: My wife.
- 16:14Speaker 5: My name is Sebastian. I am with Art Institute. What
- 16:19Speaker 5: I'm trying to do was capture and mortalize the beauty
- 16:22Speaker 5: of essence on Canda lives.
- 16:24Speaker 7: Okay yo, for real, though, you just can't. You don't
- 16:27Speaker 7: talk about my wife all.
- 16:28Speaker 5: Right, So I'm not I'm not calling in a negative
- 16:33Speaker 5: manner towards your wife. I want to I want to
- 16:36Speaker 5: modelize her and capture her on canvas, the beauty that
- 16:40Speaker 5: she beholds. I've seen your wife several times. You guys, resign, whoa, whoa, whoa?
- 16:45Speaker 7: Do you see my wife?
- 16:46Speaker 13: Wait?
- 16:46Speaker 7: What do you see my wife?
- 16:47Speaker 10: That?
- 16:47Speaker 5: What?
- 16:48Speaker 10: Why you?
- 16:48Speaker 7: Why you?
- 16:48Speaker 5: Why are you watching my wife?
- 16:50Speaker 2: I've seen her.
- 16:51Speaker 5: She she shops one hundred and twenty fifth Street in
- 16:53Speaker 5: hallm I've seen her so many times there, and she
- 16:56Speaker 5: holds all the beauty that an artist would like to
- 16:58Speaker 5: put on Kansas. Like I said before, I have a
- 17:01Speaker 5: huge showing in May. You're welcome to come out as well.
- 17:04Speaker 5: There's going to be so many important people there. But
- 17:06Speaker 5: I want to call and get permission from you about
- 17:09Speaker 5: painting your wife. No, you ain't got that permission.
- 17:12Speaker 13: Play well, you just can't.
- 17:13Speaker 5: You just can't go around following my wife and trying
- 17:16Speaker 5: to motialize or whatever. Just said all right, So, but
- 17:20Speaker 5: I would like to let you know I have taken
- 17:23Speaker 5: the liberty myself. I have painted your wife's head.
- 17:27Speaker 7: What Joe, you have lost your damn mind. You can't
- 17:30Speaker 7: be just walking around here Peyton, folks. Headed you gotta
- 17:34Speaker 7: get permission for that.
- 17:35Speaker 10: What's wrong with you?
- 17:36Speaker 5: If you are crazy? You don't understand your wife holds
- 17:39Speaker 5: the essence that every artist wants to do. Don't care
- 17:42Speaker 5: what she holds.
- 17:43Speaker 7: You can't be going around Peyton folks heads wrong.
- 17:46Speaker 5: With you, sir. That's the reason why I'm calling trying
- 17:49Speaker 5: to get permission from you. A Sebastian want to put
- 17:53Speaker 5: your wife on canvas because she holds the essence that
- 17:55Speaker 5: every artist wants to behold. She mortalized the beauty of canvas.
- 18:00Speaker 7: Hold of the hold of the hold of God. You're
- 18:02Speaker 7: telling me you walking around column painting my wife's head?
- 18:06Speaker 10: What earth is that? What?
- 18:08Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 18:09Speaker 10: Dude?
- 18:11Speaker 5: I'm only trying to complete my porfolio. All No, your
- 18:15Speaker 5: portfolio here?
- 18:16Speaker 7: Listen it is If I see my wife's head anywhere,
- 18:19Speaker 7: I don't care new play of magazine, I don't care
- 18:21Speaker 7: where your deal boy, whatever, Yo, I'm gonna find your
- 18:23Speaker 7: I'm gonna whoop your Do you understand what I'm saying
- 18:26Speaker 7: to you. I'm gonna shoot you. You understand that?

- 37:46Speaker 11: real idea. It's called a real ID. That's a license
- 37:50Speaker 11: or another acceptable form of identification like a passport to
- 37:54Speaker 11: board commercial flights. This is not widely publicized, so here's
- 37:58Speaker 11: what you need to know. A real ID is a
- 38:01Speaker 11: state issue driver's license or ID card that meets federal
- 38:05Speaker 11: security standards.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Okay, that's all it is.
- 38:08Speaker 11: The Real ID Act of two thousand and five was
- 38:11Speaker 11: enacted after the nine to eleven terrorist attacks to enhance
- 38:15Speaker 11: security surrounding IDs used at airports and other federal facilities.
- 38:19Speaker 11: If you don't have a real ID by May seventh
- 38:22Speaker 11: of this year, or another acceptable form of ID, you
- 38:26Speaker 11: may not be allowed to get on any of these
- 38:28Speaker 11: commercial flights. If you don't have your real ID, you
- 38:32Speaker 11: can use your passport to travel, but it strongly suggested
- 38:35Speaker 11: that you get the real ID driver's license or ID card.
- 38:40Speaker 3: This is what you got to do.
- 38:41Speaker 1: This they've been using this.
- 38:43Speaker 8: Yeah, no, they got like if you're an immigrant, they
- 38:47Speaker 8: have like drivers or they have IDs.
- 38:50Speaker 2: That they can use and stuff like that.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Yeah you know, yeah, I.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Know a guy that travels with his green card.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Uh huh. So Now, a.
- 39:00Speaker 8: Pilot on U ninety the other day had to turn
- 39:03Speaker 8: the plane around because he ain't had no pants for him.
- 39:07Speaker 15: The pilot nobody checked him when he got on.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Yeah, well he was going to work.
- 39:13Speaker 3: He probably.
- 39:16Speaker 8: We need some information though, Yeah, well yeah, they you
- 39:21Speaker 8: gotta hit the pilot gotta have it because he got
- 39:23Speaker 8: a radio all that information.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Therefore they allow him to land.
- 39:26Speaker 8: Yeah, so there ain't no ain't no sitting on the
- 39:29Speaker 8: ground and then talking about that you can't get off
- 39:30Speaker 8: the plane. No, no, no, no, you're not landing.
- 39:35Speaker 1: So this all takes place May seventh. You don't have
- 39:37Speaker 1: much time May seven.
- 39:39Speaker 12: That's the people on Spirit that ain't got no ID.
- 39:41Speaker 12: I know who ain't got that idea. There's the people
- 39:43Speaker 12: over there fighting over there in front of the Spirit there.
- 39:45Speaker 12: That's the way he got But.
- 39:46Speaker 8: They needed you is stop all this flying and you
- 39:48Speaker 8: ain't got real luggage. That's what you need on these plans,
- 39:52Speaker 8: real luggage. Damn a real ID. You need real luggage.
- 39:57Speaker 8: All these garbage bags taped up, all these club. Those
- 40:00Speaker 8: baskets with duct tape on them. But that's what you know,
- 40:03Speaker 8: that don't fit in overhead. Now you gotta take clothes
- 40:07Speaker 8: out and leave it in the lobby.
- 40:09Speaker 10: You know.
- 40:11Speaker 2: We did all of you.
- 40:13Speaker 8: Man, You ever been on you ever been past one
- 40:14Speaker 8: of the what we've been paired one of them airlines
- 40:17Speaker 8: and take off one of them po as airlines. I
- 40:20Speaker 8: just shy, and you used to see the stuff. You
- 40:22Speaker 8: just see stuff in there in the lobby that you
- 40:24Speaker 8: will never see. Just one shoe, head of cabbage. I
- 40:34Speaker 8: saw Jamaica. I take off one tail man. It was
- 40:36Speaker 8: so much stuff in that love when they when they
- 40:38Speaker 8: finally bought it, that plane. The stuff they left in
- 40:41Speaker 8: the lobby, man crazy.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Just a pair of pants one leg on.
- 40:54Speaker 11: At thirty four minutes after, a listener wrote in to
- 40:57Speaker 11: show some love for the morning crew, especially the fellas.
- 41:01Speaker 1: We'll talk about that right after this. You're listening to
- 41:04Speaker 1: the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 41:07Speaker 11: All right, guys, So this is a note from an
- 41:08Speaker 11: anonymous listener on Steve BARBFM. She wrote into show us

- 41:29Speaker 11: it could be yours. This is not really a letter,
- 41:33Speaker 11: but a note of praise for the men on the show.

- 41:37Speaker 11: Boy, keep me laughing and make me not miss you
- 41:40Speaker 11: as much when you have to go away for another job.

- 56:24Speaker 11: Thank you for your subject. Is he sweet or tart?
- 56:29Speaker 11: Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been married nine years and this
- 56:33Speaker 11: man is a trip. If we're around other people, he
- 56:37Speaker 11: calls me sweetie or bay. If we're at home, he
- 56:40Speaker 11: calls me by my first name or my maiden name.
- 56:43Speaker 11: If I lean over to kiss him at home, he
- 56:45Speaker 11: tells me to stop with all of the mushy stuff,
- 56:48Speaker 11: but the minute we're out with friends, his hands are
- 56:51Speaker 11: all over me. So I guess you're asking why I'm worried.
- 56:55Speaker 11: If he does public displays of affection, it bothers me
- 56:58Speaker 11: because it's so different.
- 57:00Speaker 2: At home.
- 57:00Speaker 11: I have sex whenever he wants to have sex, but
- 57:03Speaker 11: all of the romance is out of it. I have
- 57:05Speaker 11: a twenty one year old son from a previous marriage,
- 57:08Speaker 11: and I have a twenty eight year old son from
- 57:11Speaker 11: a previous marriage, and he and my husband are close.
- 57:14Speaker 11: My son told me that my husband advised him not
- 57:16Speaker 11: to get married until he's fifty because it's downhill after that.
- 57:21Speaker 11: I can't ask my husband what he meant by it,
- 57:23Speaker 11: because my son told me I better not say a word.
- 57:26Speaker 11: I did have a talk with my husband about getting
- 57:28Speaker 11: the spark back into our marriage, and he said he'd
- 57:31Speaker 11: be happier if I stopped shopping. I told him to
- 57:35Speaker 11: try again, because that's not going to happen. I told
- 57:39Speaker 11: him we could stop going out to eat so much.
- 57:42Speaker 11: He said he'd help me with all the cooking, so
- 57:44Speaker 11: he has dinner ready throughout the week. We'd had sloppy
- 57:47Speaker 11: Joe's hot dogs, cheesesteak sandwiches, and a lot of spaghetti. Lately,
- 57:52Speaker 11: I can't keep doing that, But I also don't want
- 57:55Speaker 11: him to feel like I'm not appreciative. The other night,
- 57:58Speaker 11: when we were out at a party, he told our
- 58:00Speaker 11: friends that we have romantic dinners at home during the week,
- 58:03Speaker 11: compliments of him. How can he be so sweet? How
- 58:06Speaker 11: can he be sweet when we're in public in tart
- 58:08Speaker 11: when we're at home. Could this be a lull in
- 58:11Speaker 11: our marriage or a phase that I don't know about?
- 58:13Speaker 11: Please help? Well, you know, I think it's both. I
- 58:17Speaker 11: think it's definitely a lull and a sign he's not
- 58:22Speaker 11: happy and you're not happy. The crazy part is that
- 58:25Speaker 11: you talk to him about getting the spark back into
- 58:27Speaker 11: your marriage, and what did he say? He said he'd
- 58:30Speaker 11: be happier if you stopped shopping. He gave you the answer.
- 58:34Speaker 11: You weren't trying to hear it. How can Steve and
- 58:37Speaker 11: I help you if you already know the answer and
- 58:39Speaker 11: you just refused to do it. You said, stopping shopping
- 58:42Speaker 11: is not going to happen. You told him that when
- 58:45Speaker 11: he said what he said. He's even compromising with you
- 58:48Speaker 11: by helping you with the meals, but you completely dismissed
- 58:51Speaker 11: what he said. So why did you even bother to
- 58:54Speaker 11: ask him? I mean, do you really want a solution here?
- 58:57Speaker 11: I mean, I love shopping like so many women, like
- 59:00Speaker 11: most women, and most of the time I don't even
- 59:03Speaker 11: need this stuff I buy. But if it becomes a
- 59:05Speaker 11: problem in my marriage like it is in yours right now,
- 59:08Speaker 11: I'm going to at least consider what he's saying. You
- 59:11Speaker 11: won't even try. I mean, maybe he's worried about money,
- 59:14Speaker 11: or maybe he's worried about the future and you're spending
- 59:17Speaker 11: too much.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Right now, there is talk of a recession. I'm sure
- 59:20Speaker 1: you've heard that if you watch the news.
- 59:22Speaker 11: So before you just shut him down entirely, I think
- 59:26Speaker 11: you should try to communicate more with your husband to
- 59:29Speaker 11: find out exactly what the problem is and work toward
- 59:31Speaker 11: a solution in this. You don't want to lose everything.
- 59:34Speaker 11: Maybe you guys need some therapy, couple's therapy, marriage therapy.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Steve, you know what.
- 59:42Speaker 2: These types of letters. It's just.
- 59:46Speaker 8: You've been married for nine years. This man is a
- 59:49Speaker 8: trip when you're around other people. You sweety pie, honey bunch,
- 59:53Speaker 8: love bug. All this he'll be you at home, he
- 59:56Speaker 8: called you by your first name or your maiden name.
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: So if your name is Diane and he call you
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: Diane at home, what the hell he posts a car
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: baby or your maiden name Wilson, Wilson. Yeah, I'm finna
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: tell you what's wrong with this. If I lean over
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: the kiss him at home, stop all that mushy stuff.
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: But the moment we are with our friends, his hands
- 1:00:23Speaker 8: all over me. So the lady said, I guess you
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: ask him. Why am I worried about it? If he
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: always does public displays or affection, Well, she said, just
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: bother her, cause it's different at home.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: Now here's the key in this.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: I have sex whenever he wants to have sex, but
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: all of the romance is out of it.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let's just stop him. You all don't
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: like each other no more. That's all this is.
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: Y'all just don't like each other no more. He love
- 1:00:57Speaker 8: each other. That's why he has the public displays of affection.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: This is my wife. I love her, this my girl,
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: and he's putting on the show or front. That's why
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: when he tell people that, you know, we have romantic
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: dinners at home, he cooking, but y'all don't like.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Each other no more, and it's all because of money.
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: I'm gonna tell you something, ladies, and we're gonna do
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: a reenactment when we come back, where Shirley is gonna
- 1:01:29Speaker 8: ask me all types of questions, and I'm gonna show
- 1:01:33Speaker 8: you how disgruntle husband answers any question she might ask.
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: Caller can join into any question at all, any I
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: don't care what the question in any subject, children any
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: but this is all about money.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: See when a.
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: Man feels a man feels disheartened watching money go out
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: the dough.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: The way he feels about you, because he's equated.
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: He's equated his contribution to the marriage and his love
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: for you with the money that he makes and brings
- 1:02:11Speaker 8: in the house to provide. When he see it just
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: going out the door, he thinks his provision portion is
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: being taken for granted. Now, you may not like that answer,
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: but that's what it is. And then when he told
- 1:02:24Speaker 8: you he'd like it if you would shop less, you said, okay,
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: give me something else, because that ain't gonna happen. And
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: then he goes right back to okay, cool.
- 1:02:35Speaker 11: Hang on, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of
- 1:02:38Speaker 11: Steve's response coming up and reenactment on Today's Strawberry Letter

- 1:03:30Speaker 11: The subject is he sweet or chart?
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: Here's a man and who is a woman who thinks
- 1:03:36Speaker 8: her husband is a trip. He's a sweetheart at home,
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: and I mean he's a sweetheart in public, but at
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: home he calls her by her first name on her
- 1:03:45Speaker 8: maiden name she tried to lean over and kiss him.
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: He said, gone, stop with all this mushy stumb.
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: You know.
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: He had a conversation with his son in law, stepson,
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: who is she has a twenty eight year old son
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: from a other marriage. They're closely. They having a conversation.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: One time.
- 1:04:05Speaker 8: He tells her twenty eight year old son, wait till
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: you fifty to get married, because it's all downhill after that.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Then you won't know what he mean by that.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: It's self explanatory. He's married to your ass and it's downhill.
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: And he told your son. You want to say something
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: to him, but your son told you you better not
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: say nothing to him about this. He just trying to
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: pull your coat to the thing, mom, that you are
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: doing some things that's dissatisfactory to your husband, and your
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: son then brought it to your attention.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: He didn't come in there and tell you that your
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: husband was jacked up.
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: He went and said that he told him to wait
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: till he was fifty before he got married, because it's
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: all down heel after that.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Now, why would he tell him that.
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: That's because y'all are in a down he'll marriage it's
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: going downhill, you asked him. What was it about. He said,
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: he would like it better if you spent less money shopping.
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: You said that ain't gonna happen. So what else you got?
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: No, he told you what the problem is.
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: And ladies, whether you like it or not, a man
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: feels disheartened when the money that he makes is going
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: out the door. And it seems like, in a way
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: of fashion, that he has no say so in see
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: you personally shopping and all like that. He doesn't have
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: a say so in it. But y'all constantly needing more money.
- 1:05:41Speaker 8: So then you said, maybe y'all could quit eating now
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: as much. He said, okay, So now he cooking at
- 1:05:47Speaker 8: the house. You know, he treats you good in public,
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: but at home, he ain't gonna be fronting at the
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: house because you at the house tripping. It's about this money.
- 1:06:00Speaker 8: Now this runs over into everything. So now she he
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: done told your son wait till he's fifty. Your son
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: came and told you and then told you not to
- 1:06:09Speaker 8: tell him. And now you still want to know what's wrong?
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: What's wrong?
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: What part you're not listening to? Everybody told you. So
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: now let's do a reenactment.
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: This is a disgruntle husband at home and no matter
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: what you bring up, because we're at home now talking.
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: These are the types of responses from a disgruntle husband.
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: This has not been rehearsed. Surely can ask me anything, honeys.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: This sound like rain out There is raining tonight.

- 1:13:37Speaker 11: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:13:41Speaker 11: This one is from Quinn and Arlington. Quinn says, I
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: went out with my sister and when I dropped her off,
- 1:13:48Speaker 11: her husband was in a bad mood and started yelling
- 1:13:50Speaker 11: at her. I went home and asked my husband to
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: go over there and check things out. He went, and
- 1:13:57Speaker 11: after about thirty minutes he called me and said that
- 1:14:00Speaker 11: he made my brother in law leave the house and
- 1:14:02Speaker 11: go cool off. He said he was going to spend
- 1:14:05Speaker 11: the night over there in case my brother in law
- 1:14:08Speaker 11: came back home still mad. I told him, no way, Jose,
- 1:14:13Speaker 11: Why was he travel why was he trying to be

- 1:14:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know, yeah it was because it
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: could have could have if he wasn't there.
- 1:14:27Speaker 8: It sounds like it could have turned into something you know,
- 1:14:31Speaker 8: he has to do to drive and cool off. That's
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: for a reason, you know too, You know what a
- 1:14:37Speaker 8: man is at his breaking point, you say, hey, man,
- 1:14:39Speaker 8: look you need to drive off, man before you do

- 1:14:46Speaker 8: he said.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: To her, but took him thirty minutes.
- 1:14:52Speaker 8: But all I know is, but for your wife's sake,
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: I mean, his heart was in the wrong place. But
- 1:14:58Speaker 8: if your wife said that, ain't your bus, you got
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: just drive off go to the house.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: But yeah you can, yeah, she asked him.
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: But now, but now she.
- 1:15:08Speaker 8: Don't want the rest of it. See, that's what the

- 1:15:13Speaker 8: be a problem at your house. You're trying to help
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: somebody at their house. Got a problem at your house? Yes,

- 1:15:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna go over here now. I'm gonna stay over

- 1:15:57Speaker 11: of his snap back caps because my hair was a mess.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: He told me it was one of a kind hat,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: so he wanted it back.
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: I had a hat in my car to give it
- 1:16:08Speaker 11: back to him, but my husband saw it and started
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: wearing it. That's his favorite hat. Now side dude keeps
- 1:16:16Speaker 11: asking me about his hat. I can't tell my husband
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: the hat just disappeared.
- 1:16:21Speaker 10: What do I do?
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: Well, if you want to keep the peace, you're gonna
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: have to get that hat back.
- 1:16:32Speaker 8: And give it back to the side dude. But now
- 1:16:35Speaker 8: here is the problem. Here's the problem. Okay, another abnormal
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: situation has been written into.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Us as normal. I was leaving his house over my
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: side piece house. My hat was a mess. He let
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: me wear his hat.
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: My husband saw the hat and now he wear it
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: all the tend his favorite hat. My side piece has
- 1:17:02Speaker 8: told me this is a wonderful kind hat and he
- 1:17:06Speaker 8: wanted back. Oh my god, I can't just let their
- 1:17:11Speaker 8: husband's hat disappear. Hit up here, right, he didn't buy right,
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: you told him it was yours. He been weighing it.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: That's his favorite hat.
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: Now, so take you this abnormal ass relationship. You in
- 1:17:30Speaker 8: steal the hat back from your husband and give it
- 1:17:34Speaker 8: back to your boyfriend.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: All happily ever after in Jesus' name.
