- 2:06Speaker 1: come on, dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks.
- 2:14Speaker 1: This is a good one because today I want to
- 2:18Speaker 1: share with you something that affects every living soul, and
- 2:24Speaker 1: that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone. It
- 2:31Speaker 1: is your attitude. You know. I don't know if anyone's
- 2:37Speaker 1: ever told you, but I mean many of you who
- 2:40Speaker 1: listen know this. But there are a lot of people
- 2:42Speaker 1: who don't understand a positive attitude can bring about a change.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well, now
- 2:55Speaker 1: here we go with the nay says, well, Steve, what
- 2:57Speaker 1: you mean if I'm just positive being changed? Now? My
- 2:59Speaker 1: mama on what me being positive got to do with that. Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 1: Now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 3:07Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but they didn't fired me. So now what does my
- 3:14Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 3:17Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time, A positive
- 3:23Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Or Steve, I set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: in here and gave eight, nine, twelve years of my
- 3:33Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 3:35Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 3:38Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 3:42Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 3:46Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. Now listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 3:51Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts
- 3:59Speaker 1: This is the start. It starts within you. See, life
- 4:06Speaker 1: is ten percent of what happens is what you do
- 4:09Speaker 1: about what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of your
- 4:12Speaker 1: life to this man. He cheated and left you. Hold
- 4:15Speaker 1: in the bag, the kids and everything. Now what does
- 4:18Speaker 1: being positive have to do with changing that? Or they
- 4:21Speaker 1: came in and they fired you. You lost your job
- 4:24Speaker 1: that you was a stellar performer at. But now how
- 4:27Speaker 1: does you having a positive attitude. How does that change
- 4:30Speaker 1: things for you? So far? You can use any example.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Here's what happens when you have a positive attitude. What
- 4:40Speaker 1: it produces within you is a positive approach to life.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And when you have a positive attitude and a positive
- 4:48Speaker 1: approach to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to
- 4:54Speaker 1: have a positive out look, to expect things to eventually
- 5:00Speaker 1: turn around, and and and and turn into a positive
- 5:03Speaker 1: That's very important because as the law of attraction comes
- 5:06Speaker 1: into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things.
- 5:14Speaker 1: If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You know, if you want for nothing, then nothing comes
- 5:22Speaker 1: your way. If you want for a positive attitude, if
- 5:25Speaker 1: you want for positive results, if you want for a
- 5:28Speaker 1: great outcome, that's what you attract to you. The change
- 5:31Speaker 1: will begin within you. So let's take the man that
- 5:35Speaker 1: walked out your life and left you hold in the bag.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Here's a positive attitude. Okay, two things have happened as
- 5:42Speaker 1: positive here. Number one, you've ridd it yourself of someone
- 5:46Speaker 1: who is obviously going to be, if not already been,
- 5:50Speaker 1: toxic in your life, cause you many restless nights, a
- 5:54Speaker 1: lot of uncomfortable feelings, an uneasiness, not sure, insecure. You've
- 6:00Speaker 1: been going through it with this person, whoever they are.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Number One, that person has been released from your life.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Number Two, it allows you now to have the someone
- 6:11Speaker 1: who will treat you just the way you want to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be treated. That's the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way.
- 6:18Speaker 1: That's when you're a positive person. You see the positive
- 6:21Speaker 1: in things that happened to you, instead of burying yourself
- 6:24Speaker 1: under the hor's wrong with it, a old woe is
- 6:27Speaker 1: me now concept? See a positive attitude. When they came
- 6:31Speaker 1: in there and they fired you and let you go,
- 6:34Speaker 1: could this not have been just the opening you needed
- 6:38Speaker 1: to finally start on a new career path that you've
- 6:42Speaker 1: been talking about doing anyway? Could it possibly be a
- 6:46Speaker 1: brand new chance for you to get the dream job
- 6:49Speaker 1: or dream career of your choice. Could it not possibly
- 6:53Speaker 1: be the perfect opportunity now for you to finally finally
- 6:59Speaker 1: do something about that gift, about that talent that God
- 7:02Speaker 1: gave you, that thing that you love to do. Could
- 7:05Speaker 1: it not be the perfect time for you to pursue that.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But if you don't have a positive attitude, then you
- 7:11Speaker 1: lay there. Oh, they finn' come getting my house. Oh
- 7:15Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do now? All this unemployment ain't enough.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh Lord, when this unemployment run out, what am I
- 7:22Speaker 1: gonna do? Then I won't have nothing? And you old
- 7:25Speaker 1: woe is me until you become old woe is me.
- 7:29Speaker 1: But if you take it from the positive approach, some
- 7:32Speaker 1: amazing things can happen in your life. I will tell
- 7:35Speaker 1: you on a personal note, that's some of the most
- 7:38Speaker 1: some of the best changes, some of the biggest moments
- 7:42Speaker 1: in my life came after a loss. So I don't
- 7:45Speaker 1: want to go down on the list, but boy, I
- 7:47Speaker 1: could tell you. Let me let me tell you something.
- 7:49Speaker 1: When they didn't want me on the radio anymore in La,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when they didn't know when they went it was sick
- 7:54Speaker 1: of the way I did radio out there, and they
- 7:56Speaker 1: wanted me gone. And on May twenty three, two thousand
- 8:01Speaker 1: and five, when my when? When? When? When my deal
- 8:06Speaker 1: was done? With the beat out in La? Okay, look
- 8:12Speaker 1: what happened though, y'all was gone in May. But in
- 8:16Speaker 1: September nineteenth I started to Steve Harvey Radio Network with
- 8:20Speaker 1: four cities. You see. But I didn't go old woe
- 8:24Speaker 1: is Me? I said, Oh, okay, God must have something
- 8:28Speaker 1: else from it then, because if he didn't remove me
- 8:31Speaker 1: from this, that must be something else. Same thing can
- 8:33Speaker 1: happened when you lose and you and you and you
- 8:36Speaker 1: break up in a relationship, Same thing can happen to you.
- 8:39Speaker 1: You never know the one God God for you that
- 8:41Speaker 1: here you go, here you go again. Now you get
- 8:44Speaker 1: put into a situation with somebody treat you just the
- 8:46Speaker 1: way you want to be treated, provide you the whole
- 8:49Speaker 1: lot of aspects of your life you knew nothing about
- 8:51Speaker 1: prior to that. But you gotta stay positive. If you
- 8:54Speaker 1: stay positive, that positive attitude, that optimistic outlook, that that
- 9:00Speaker 1: that always thinking God got me no matter what happened
- 9:03Speaker 1: to me, some amazing things that's going can will happen
- 9:07Speaker 1: in your life. It's a fact. I don't know how
- 9:09Speaker 1: it works that way. I just know that's what it is.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Positive attitude is everything, y'all. So get off the old
- 9:16Speaker 1: woe is Me negativity train because it ain't gonna take
- 9:18Speaker 1: you nowhere but down and get get your outlook up.
- 9:22Speaker 1: If you change your attitude, you change your altitude. Altitude
- 9:27Speaker 1: is determined by your attitude. How high you go, how
- 9:30Speaker 1: big you become, how far you go. It all depends
- 9:33Speaker 1: on how you think. It all depends on what type
- 9:36Speaker 1: of attitude you got. Ain't no, ain't no, very very successful,
- 9:41Speaker 1: super negative people. It just doesn't coincide that way. If
- 9:45Speaker 1: you see that something happened to them along the way,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and don't wear you ain't gonna wearr about it because
- 9:50Speaker 1: you ain't gonna see them long because you can't stay
- 9:52Speaker 1: up there like that. It's just too hard. All right,
- 9:55Speaker 1: that's the conversation you're listening to. I got it. O come,
- 10:06Speaker 1: I got it? Everybody? Hell won't it? Oh well, well
- 10:14Speaker 1: I got it. Information coming forth. Hide, Ladies and gentlemen,

- 21:18Speaker 1: Let me say this man, who is this? What you
- 21:20Speaker 1: what you talking about right now. This is Quincy right here,
- 21:23Speaker 1: This is Quincy. I work in the same build. I
- 21:25Speaker 1: work on the same floor you work on, all right,
- 21:27Speaker 1: And I know that a lot of people on the floor,
- 21:29Speaker 1: everybody kind of share the break room and the refrigerator

- 21:40Speaker 1: my barbecue ribs. All right. It took me four five
- 21:43Speaker 1: hours and smoked him. Hey, whoa whoa s down? So
- 21:46Speaker 1: down you say your name Quincy right down? My name?
- 21:48Speaker 1: Who bringing this? Who attention? Right? Don't worry about that.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Don't worry about who told me? But everybody said you
- 21:54Speaker 1: always eating people's stuff out the damn break room without
- 21:57Speaker 1: the refrigerator. Well, I don't know who is everybody or whatever,
- 22:01Speaker 1: but I ain't eating nothing the refrigerator. I go out
- 22:03Speaker 1: and get my own food, bro, I go out and
- 22:04Speaker 1: get my own foods. So I don't know what you're
- 22:06Speaker 1: talking about right now. And let me tell you. Let
- 22:09Speaker 1: me say let me say that, let me say this
- 22:10Speaker 1: to you, Eric, let me say this to you. All right,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm coming by your cubicic the mare I see anything

- 22:37Speaker 1: get couping your kubicup if I'm find I'm saying. But
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you I'm not the one that's
- 22:42Speaker 1: doing that. That's what I'm telling you. So how come
- 22:46Speaker 1: everybody say if anybody ate your food, it's probably Erica one.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I always eating everybody's stuff up. They can't say whatever
- 22:53Speaker 1: they want to say. That don't mean that I was
- 22:54Speaker 1: the one that did that. That's what I'm trying to
- 22:56Speaker 1: tell you, Bro, That's what I'm trying to tell you.
- 22:59Speaker 1: So they lying on you, now, they lying on you.
- 23:02Speaker 1: They lying. I'm trying to tell you, they lying. I'm
- 23:04Speaker 1: telling you that, So you do understand what I'm saying.
- 23:07Speaker 1: If it's anything that remotely looked close to barbecue sauce,
- 23:12Speaker 1: anything a real bone, anything like that around your cue,
- 23:16Speaker 1: in the trash can in your work area, I'm whipping
- 23:19Speaker 1: your man. Question man, I was, I'm trying to be
- 23:22Speaker 1: nice to you on his damn phone. Bro, But I
- 23:24Speaker 1: told you about be threats. So at this point in

- 27:14Speaker 1: I'm stupid. I'm gonna be stupid. Memorial Day Weekend, Orlando, Florida.
- 27:19Speaker 1: That's the twenty eighth and twenty ninth at the Orlando Improv.
- 27:22Speaker 1: The Nephew will be in town and then tampers laying
- 27:25Speaker 1: in the cut. That will be um June twenty fifth
- 27:29Speaker 1: and twenty six, twenty seven, Tampa Improve Nephew coming to town.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Can I go a little further? Why not? Why not?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Kaleen Texas July sixteen, seventeen eighteen. That's enough right there,
- 27:40Speaker 1: Thomas Miles dot com. You can go to my website
- 27:42Speaker 1: and catch it all. And then, of course what's the wealth.
- 27:45Speaker 1: You can catch me every Friday night, you know, the
- 27:47Speaker 1: sad change because see what I'm sexy on Friday night,
- 27:50Speaker 1: Friday night on the Old network. Yes, you can catch
- 27:53Speaker 1: the host Thomas Miles or Tommy Miles the change to
- 27:57Speaker 1: me at all. It ain't been rush real money in there.
- 28:05Speaker 1: That changes got a lot of mud in it. Coming
- 28:09Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, entertainment and national
- 28:11Speaker 1: news right after this. You're listening to this Dave Harvey
- 28:15Speaker 1: Morning Show all right time now for tell me something
- 28:20Speaker 1: good news now, Junior, you were just talking about the
- 28:22Speaker 1: NFL draft college players yesterday, and now here's some good news.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Nagi Harris, I know you know who he is, celebrated
- 28:33Speaker 1: celebrated his twenty twenty one NFL Draft by giving back
- 28:37Speaker 1: to the youth. Okay, the Alabama running back was selected
- 28:41Speaker 1: twenty fourth overall in the NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Stealers.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Then Nagy through a draft day party for the kids
- 28:51Speaker 1: at the Greater Raymond Interfaith Homeless Shelter in Richmond, California.
- 28:56Speaker 1: The children were treated to a pizza night and games,
- 29:00Speaker 1: and then he stopped by. Nagi did to visit take
- 29:04Speaker 1: selfies photos with the people, with the shelter workers and
- 29:07Speaker 1: the families who lived there. And it was emotional for
- 29:10Speaker 1: Nagi Harris because it's the same shelter that he lived
- 29:14Speaker 1: in with his parents and four siblings for a few
- 29:16Speaker 1: years while he was growing up. Wow, so that came circle.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Didn't like. His goal, he says, is to shed light
- 29:24Speaker 1: on the issues of homelessness. He did not let his
- 29:28Speaker 1: situation dictate his future. The shelter manager said, it makes
- 29:33Speaker 1: me feel proud and makes me enjoy my job more
- 29:35Speaker 1: because I know I made a difference in someone's life.
- 29:38Speaker 1: So good for Nai. Yeah, that's really giving back. Yeah,
- 29:45Speaker 1: that's really good man. Yeah, get the people back there
- 29:49Speaker 1: to should some hope too, you know. Yeah, you just
- 29:52Speaker 1: gotta see you know, you gotta see somebody else done it.
- 29:56Speaker 1: They've been in it like you in it. That's all
- 29:58Speaker 1: inspiration is just glimpse, you know, Like I read the
- 30:02Speaker 1: other day, I want to live my life so when
- 30:04Speaker 1: somebody looks at me one day they say I made
- 30:08Speaker 1: it because of you or something you said, I heard you,
- 30:14Speaker 1: and everybody should want that, be able to put that
- 30:17Speaker 1: on your resume. Yeah, it gives you hope. If he
- 30:23Speaker 1: can do it, I can do it. You know, there's
- 30:25Speaker 1: a chance. Wow. And I just love that inspirational story, Steve,
- 30:29Speaker 1: because you talk about inspirational. You give out inspiration every
- 30:33Speaker 1: single morning. And just like you said this, this young
- 30:38Speaker 1: man didn't let surely what you referred to that the
- 30:42Speaker 1: shelter manager said in a story he didn't let being homelessness,
- 30:45Speaker 1: but his family define Yeah, the future yea. And I
- 30:50Speaker 1: just you know, I just love that. Yeah. I think
- 30:53Speaker 1: it's really important for transparency. See, you know, so many
- 30:58Speaker 1: people get to where they want to goal and then
- 31:01Speaker 1: they don't want to be transparent because they don't want
- 31:03Speaker 1: people to know this and they don't want people. No, man,
- 31:07Speaker 1: that's important. Your journey is important. Your testimony can change
- 31:14Speaker 1: the life of somebody coming behind you. Because I don't
- 31:18Speaker 1: care what you're going through. Somebody hadn't done it already,
- 31:21Speaker 1: that's right, that's right, and it just it gives people
- 31:25Speaker 1: hope if they can do it, maybe I can do that.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I can do it. You know, they went through it.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I can do it, you know. And that's part of
- 31:32Speaker 1: your testimony and your journey right there, what you go through,
- 31:36Speaker 1: it helps you get to where you are, so, you know,
- 31:40Speaker 1: really cool. I definitely like that. I mean, can only
- 31:44Speaker 1: imagine him and his family and his brothers and sisters sleeping,
- 31:49Speaker 1: being homeless, and then he is able to throw a
- 31:52Speaker 1: party for kids. I mean that he gets drafted in
- 31:56Speaker 1: the NFL. It's an amazing story. It really is. Going
- 31:58Speaker 1: back to that, yeah, yeah, to tell Yeah, he really
- 32:05Speaker 1: has a story to tell. Never giving up on your dream,
- 32:08Speaker 1: all of that place. All right, Steve, we're gonna go
- 32:13Speaker 1: to headlines now, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Anne Tripp, thank you,
- 32:17Speaker 1: thank you, and good morning everyone. Here we go. At
- 32:20Speaker 1: least three deaths are blamed this morning on the bad
- 32:23Speaker 1: weather in the Deep South this week. There were strong
- 32:26Speaker 1: winds and heavy rains overnight in Mississippi's Round Jackson, especially.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Flash flood warnings were issued for Alabama, and authorities say
- 32:35Speaker 1: that homes would damaged from Texas in a kind of
- 32:37Speaker 1: a straight line all the way up to Virginia because
- 32:40Speaker 1: of the bad weather. The now infamous Derek Chauvin wants
- 32:43Speaker 1: to do over. Chauvin's lawyer has followed the motion seeking
- 32:47Speaker 1: a new trial, alleging prosecutorial and jury misconduct, adding that
- 32:51Speaker 1: his request for a change of venue should have been
- 32:53Speaker 1: granted as well. Attorney Eric Nelson has requested a hearing
- 32:57Speaker 1: where the judge would reinterview jurors with the Amish showing
- 33:00Speaker 1: that members of the panel committed misconduct because they supposedly
- 33:03Speaker 1: felt threatened by race based pressure to convict his client.
- 33:06Speaker 1: So the videotape wasn't there right, And also they say
- 33:10Speaker 1: one a black jury. He says attended a Black Lives
- 33:13Speaker 1: Matter of protests and he lied on his vader and
- 33:16Speaker 1: said he didn't. President Biden set up another COVID fighting
- 33:19Speaker 1: gold by July fourth to have seventy I'M adult Americans
- 33:24Speaker 1: at least one shot and one hundred and sixty million
- 33:27Speaker 1: Americans fully vaccinated. It's life and death. The president wants
- 33:31Speaker 1: vaccine available on a walk in basis, and even though
- 33:33Speaker 1: he admits that there are still people who will not
- 33:36Speaker 1: take the shots. He feels that a lot of folks
- 33:38Speaker 1: will because they don't want their friends and family members
- 33:41Speaker 1: to get sick and maybe die. A Pennsylvania man who
- 33:45Speaker 1: used his dead mother's name to vote for Donald Trump
- 33:48Speaker 1: says he did it because it was so much propaganda
- 33:50Speaker 1: around the election. Seventy year old Bruce Bartman has pled
- 33:53Speaker 1: guilty to unlawful voting and perjury. He says that he's
- 33:58Speaker 1: been senced to five years probation and he can't vote
- 34:00Speaker 1: for four years, and he can't sit in any kind
- 34:03Speaker 1: of jury. He says that he was kind of away
- 34:05Speaker 1: from people. He was at home, he didn't go anywhere,
- 34:07Speaker 1: and all he heard was a lot of propaganda, so
- 34:09Speaker 1: he voted for Donald Trump erroneously using his mother's name.
- 34:14Speaker 1: His mother again had passed away. Former deputy sheriff in
- 34:17Speaker 1: Georgia fired last November after investigators found a bunch of
- 34:20Speaker 1: text messages he sent to a members of a racist
- 34:23Speaker 1: group in California, where he bragged about beating up a
- 34:26Speaker 1: black man and calling its sweet stress, release how he'd
- 34:29Speaker 1: arrest black people and charge him with felony so they'd
- 34:31Speaker 1: lose their right to vote. Cody Griggs, a former marine,
- 34:35Speaker 1: also fantasized apparently about a civil war against liberals, Muslims, Hispanics,
- 34:39Speaker 1: and other non whites. Finally, yeah, you'd at tax man
- 34:46Speaker 1: at tax for his issue to ruling in the battle
- 34:47Speaker 1: between the I arrest and Michael Jackson's estate, Michael's side,
- 34:51Speaker 1: one judge said Jackson's worth of the time of his
- 34:53Speaker 1: death anyway much closer to what the estate said it
- 34:56Speaker 1: was and not what the government claimed it was. So
- 34:58Speaker 1: the bottom line, no tax pelt he's were levied. Now
- 35:01Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show,
- 35:06Speaker 1: all right, So on this wellness Wednesday, we all saw
- 35:10Speaker 1: the picture that Will Smith posted yesterday. He says he
- 35:13Speaker 1: loves his body that carried him through this entire pandemic
- 35:16Speaker 1: and countless days of grazing through the pantry, but he
- 35:20Speaker 1: wants to feel better. No more midnight muffins. Will went
- 35:24Speaker 1: on to say, midnight muffins are good. He didn't say that,
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm saying that. Will went on to say that he
- 35:31Speaker 1: wants to get in the best shape of his life,
- 35:33Speaker 1: and so he's teaming up with YouTube now to document
- 35:36Speaker 1: and get his health and wellness back on track. So
- 35:40Speaker 1: good for him, really good for him. So you know,
- 35:42Speaker 1: it's like he's posting these pictures saying he's not gonna lie.
- 35:47Speaker 1: He's in the worst shape of his life, but he's
- 35:50Speaker 1: getting the way to monetize it, you know what I mean,
- 35:53Speaker 1: Because I mean, he's gonna do it anyway, might as
- 35:55Speaker 1: well get paid your Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah, I
- 36:00Speaker 1: mean you know how many people are gonna tune in
- 36:02Speaker 1: for that and making money off of it. That's a
- 36:05Speaker 1: great thing, you know. Yeah, especially if him saying he
- 36:08Speaker 1: wants to get into the best shape of his life.
- 36:10Speaker 1: It reminds me of Llo cool j when he went
- 36:13Speaker 1: on that journey, and you remember that he didn't turned back.
- 36:18Speaker 1: He's stayed there the whole time. Yeah, yeah, he went hard. Yeah. No, No,
- 36:24Speaker 1: he doesn't look like that anymore, Tommy. No, you're talking
- 36:28Speaker 1: about the boxing. You're talking about cool Jeah. Oh no,
- 36:35Speaker 1: he he don't look like that video. It's a whole
- 36:38Speaker 1: nother lifestyle and you can't live that way. When when
- 36:41Speaker 1: you see bodybuilders, when you see bodybuilders that go out
- 36:45Speaker 1: for these contests, they go into transformation mold. They don't
- 36:49Speaker 1: look like that year round. What about the rock though, Steve,
- 36:53Speaker 1: he does when the rock is different? How is it different?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Because you said he travels with his gem all of that.
- 36:59Speaker 1: You you're gonna do that. I don't take a damn.
- 37:04Speaker 1: I don't take a dumbbell with my ass. You didn't
- 37:09Speaker 1: have that when you're in Africa, I had. I had
- 37:12Speaker 1: some stretched bands and pulling them out twice twice. Man
- 37:22Speaker 1: I was man. I was in survival mold man. I
- 37:25Speaker 1: had my trainer with me and everything I couldn't between
- 37:30Speaker 1: doing family feud in Africa and radio back over here
- 37:33Speaker 1: on them time zones. Oh no, dog, I was done,
- 37:40Speaker 1: So I turned my train into a security guard checked
- 37:52Speaker 1: his body just blowing up in front of your face,
- 37:58Speaker 1: coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour, A
- 38:00Speaker 1: quick round of ass the CLO. Right after this, you're
- 38:04Speaker 1: listening morning show all right? Time Now for a quick
- 38:09Speaker 1: round of asked the CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey
- 38:15Speaker 1: in the building. This one's from Andy and Kelly. Andy Rights.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I own a small business that I put all my
- 38:21Speaker 1: savings into, so it has to work. My wife decided
- 38:25Speaker 1: she'd quit her job to help me full time because
- 38:27Speaker 1: she hated her job. Not only is it frustrating to
- 38:30Speaker 1: be around her? Twenty four to seven? But the loss
- 38:33Speaker 1: of our second source of income is stressing me out.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I want to be honest with her about everything so
- 38:39Speaker 1: she will find another job and give me some space.
- 38:42Speaker 1: But I don't want to offend her. This could ruin
- 38:44Speaker 1: our marriage. How do I handle this? Well, I hold up,
- 38:49Speaker 1: that's gonna be a little touch you because she hated
- 38:54Speaker 1: her job, so she says she quit it to work
- 38:57Speaker 1: with you full time. She thought two would be better
- 39:00Speaker 1: than one, pursuing the dream. But the loss of her
- 39:03Speaker 1: income is stressing you out. But let me ask you
- 39:07Speaker 1: a question. Did you quit your job and put all
- 39:12Speaker 1: your money into a business? Two? Yeah? And you don't
- 39:19Speaker 1: want to see that's your real problem. Dogs, See that's
- 39:24Speaker 1: the real problem. And we can't help you with that
- 39:27Speaker 1: because nothing I can tell you're gonna make you want
- 39:29Speaker 1: to be around her twenty fourth seven. Nothing's not ready? Then?
- 39:37Speaker 1: So how does he handle it? What does he say? Well,
- 39:40Speaker 1: it's a little water over the damn situation now, because
- 39:43Speaker 1: y'all should have covered this before she quit. But now
- 39:47Speaker 1: that she could, now you're gonna ask her to go
- 39:48Speaker 1: find another job. And what that's gonna be is go
- 39:52Speaker 1: finding some more another job to support my dream. You
- 39:55Speaker 1: do hear how this is gonna sound to her. You
- 40:00Speaker 1: can quit your job and be free, but I can't
- 40:03Speaker 1: quit my job to he'll pust be free. I got
- 40:05Speaker 1: to go back to work. That's right, That's what's been
- 40:07Speaker 1: to happen. So I don't have a suggestion for you,
- 40:10Speaker 1: so good luck. Yeah, all right, Carlos and Indiana, We're
- 40:13Speaker 1: moving on. I'm a forty two year old married man
- 40:17Speaker 1: with a twenty seven year old pregnant side chick. She's
- 40:21Speaker 1: having a baby. He's forty two and married. She's twenty
- 40:26Speaker 1: seven and pregnant. Okay, she's having a baby shower in
- 40:31Speaker 1: two weeks, and this is her first baby, so I
- 40:33Speaker 1: want to be there for her special day. My wife
- 40:37Speaker 1: knows about the baby, and she's dealing with it in
- 40:39Speaker 1: her own way, so I don't want to keep hurting her.
- 40:43Speaker 1: If I go to the shower, I'm sure pictures of
- 40:45Speaker 1: me will be all over Instagram. I'm trying to fix
- 40:49Speaker 1: this mess by keeping my baby mama calm while I
- 40:52Speaker 1: work on getting my marriage back on track. What should
- 40:55Speaker 1: I skip the baby shower? Well, let me explain some two.
- 41:00Speaker 1: What if you go to that call me stupid dog. No,
- 41:08Speaker 1: you've made a statement in here that cannot happen. You said,
- 41:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to get my marriage on track. You cart
- 41:16Speaker 1: your ass to that baby shower. Boy boy sitting up smiling.
- 41:26Speaker 1: But his wife is dealing with it in her own way,
- 41:30Speaker 1: up her own way. Do you know the hele, the
- 41:34Speaker 1: sheer hair. You don't put this woman through and now
- 41:39Speaker 1: you fit to go to a baby shower? You know
- 41:43Speaker 1: you do know that Hale has a wave with it.
- 41:49Speaker 1: See when you're giving a woman hele, she got a
- 41:52Speaker 1: wave of it for you. Now take your ass to
- 41:55Speaker 1: that shower. See what happened? That's so, But he wants
- 42:01Speaker 1: to keep his marriage on track, and then he wants
- 42:04Speaker 1: to keep his baby mama calm too. You're an idiot
- 42:11Speaker 1: girl if you don't call me Linda Gates and get
- 42:13Speaker 1: these papers, all right, Rice and Charlotte, excuse me one
- 42:20Speaker 1: last day. Yeah, there's a cause for being the side ship. Um,
- 42:27Speaker 1: there's a cause for that. They don't come with the

- 44:29Speaker 1: year in college. And I wanted to see, if, you know,
- 44:32Speaker 1: if if it was cool with you, you know, if
- 44:35Speaker 1: you didn't mind me escorting her to the twenty five
- 44:37Speaker 1: year class reunion. Doing well, let me say that again,
- 44:42Speaker 1: Like I say, man, my name is Ken. I got
- 44:45Speaker 1: that part. I'm trying to make sure I heard right
- 44:47Speaker 1: what you said. Yeah, I said that I Sylvia and
- 44:50Speaker 1: Iowa high school sweethearts. Man. I was, you know, from
- 44:53Speaker 1: ninth grade all the way to freshman year, in college.
- 44:55Speaker 1: We dated each other. Okay, yeah, yeah, I got I
- 44:58Speaker 1: got that. But what did you ask me? I as
- 45:00Speaker 1: if it was all right for you, if you didn't
- 45:02Speaker 1: mind if I escorted her to the twenty five year
- 45:06Speaker 1: class for union. Are you related to him? No? I
- 45:09Speaker 1: mean no, I'm not related to I just told ye
- 45:11Speaker 1: I was in a high school sweetheart. No. Man, I'm saying,
- 45:13Speaker 1: nobody gonna be askooting my wife nowhere. I put the
- 45:16Speaker 1: ring on my finger. You said you was you was
- 45:18Speaker 1: a high school sweetheart? Yeah, I mean we was together
- 45:20Speaker 1: from you know, ninth grade always to months to press
- 45:22Speaker 1: me year in college. You know, so that that was
- 45:25Speaker 1: in the past. But I'm sorry to let you know that,
- 45:27Speaker 1: but that was in the past. I'm the president, so
- 45:30Speaker 1: I don't even much think she's gonna be interested in
- 45:31Speaker 1: trying to go nowhere with you anyway. Hey, man, what
- 45:34Speaker 1: I'm trying to explain to you this is something innocent, though. Man,
- 45:36Speaker 1: this is just me taking her to you know, you know,
- 45:38Speaker 1: I thought she might get a kick out of us
- 45:40Speaker 1: going together. You know, I don't know what's wrong with you.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I hadn't told you. If it's not going to one
- 45:44Speaker 1: ear for the phone on the other one. She ain't
- 45:46Speaker 1: going nowhere? What you do? I need to break it
- 45:48Speaker 1: down anymore. Hey man, you ain't gotta you ain't gotta
- 45:50Speaker 1: talk to me and disrespect me like this. Man. Now
- 45:53Speaker 1: I tried to do is you're talking, I'm disrespecting you.
- 45:56Speaker 1: You're gonna call my I want to tell me I'm
- 45:58Speaker 1: disrespecting you. You asking me, can you take my wife
- 46:02Speaker 1: to the damn class reunion? And expect me to be
- 46:04Speaker 1: okay with that? What kind of damned food that they called?
- 46:07Speaker 1: Somebody asks can you take the wife to a class reunion?
- 46:10Speaker 1: Hey man, that was my high school sweetheart. All right,
- 46:12Speaker 1: we had we asked something. I was our first, Okay,
- 46:16Speaker 1: I was off first dog If you was the first thing,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I'm the last and I'm the only one. So we're
- 46:20Speaker 1: gonna leave it at that. How about that partner? It's whatever, man.
- 46:24Speaker 1: You know what, Man, I try to call you and
- 46:26Speaker 1: talk to you like a man. But you know what
- 46:27Speaker 1: I should have did I talk like that? You're doing
- 46:30Speaker 1: a little stuff. Man. I should have called Sylvia in
- 46:32Speaker 1: the first I should have never called. A matter of fact,
- 46:35Speaker 1: you know what, I apologize for calling. Let me get
- 46:37Speaker 1: at the phone and just called Sylvia set here and
- 46:41Speaker 1: do that. You go right on the head and call them. Well,
- 46:44Speaker 1: that's what I'm gonna do. Because Sylvia can make a
- 46:46Speaker 1: decision on what Sylvia want to do. I can tell
- 46:48Speaker 1: you what thing Sylvia do, what Sylvia want to do.
- 46:51Speaker 1: But Sylvia, it ain't interested in you. Man. This is
- 46:53Speaker 1: not about being interested in me. Man. This is innocent.
- 46:56Speaker 1: This is just me and Hunt going to the damn
- 46:58Speaker 1: class reunion together. A man. It ain't like we're gonna
- 47:02Speaker 1: go do something together. Man, on a physical level, We're
- 47:05Speaker 1: just going to have phone signs my clue. I'm trying
- 47:10Speaker 1: to tell you that I've already told you no. Okay,
- 47:12Speaker 1: if you can't get no, I don't know what you
- 47:15Speaker 1: can't get. But you ain't getting Sylvia. I tell you
- 47:17Speaker 1: that much. She's not going to no reunion. You know where. Man,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I'm through talking to you. I'm just gonna call Sylvia
- 47:23Speaker 1: because that's what I should have done in the first place.
- 47:25Speaker 1: A call. I told you, brother, you ain't gonna call nobody.
- 47:28Speaker 1: You bet not doubt my wife. Nother man. I'm telling
- 47:30Speaker 1: you this right now. I'll be at that pass for union.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I've been looking for your can whatever your name is.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna mind out who you are. I ain't playing
- 47:38Speaker 1: those like as I I told you you are disrespectful
- 47:41Speaker 1: in the first place, I didn't told Joe, don't call
- 47:45Speaker 1: my wife. She ain't going to don't, but union told
- 47:48Speaker 1: you bet not call her phone. I've been man, you
- 47:51Speaker 1: know what you want to walk up and if my
- 47:55Speaker 1: situation not to unteld you, I will come to this
- 47:57Speaker 1: class reunion and I will, man, because you look like
- 48:00Speaker 1: you're playing with me, an acting stupid or something. You
- 48:02Speaker 1: ain't taking my wife to no class reunion. You understand
- 48:05Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Your wife don't gonna want to go
- 48:06Speaker 1: to the reunion with me. How do you know that
- 48:08Speaker 1: you ain't going nowhere with you? I'd have told you, man,
- 48:10Speaker 1: don't get me act the quasip and here I'd have
- 48:12Speaker 1: told you now I said first, I'm gonna come to
- 48:14Speaker 1: the class when you but I will come to that
- 48:16Speaker 1: just to make shout, knock your likes out. Don't be
- 48:19Speaker 1: acting stupid like I can't find they got all kind
- 48:21Speaker 1: of ain't fid or some of it, but I'll find
- 48:24Speaker 1: what's just innocent. Man, Me and her going to the
- 48:26Speaker 1: reunion is innocent, and she want to be able to
- 48:28Speaker 1: decide if she want to go with me or not.
- 48:31Speaker 1: That's about to your sounds trife and anyway calling somebody
- 48:34Speaker 1: taking about a class re union. Ain't even much hurt
- 48:36Speaker 1: about it, Like, I don't get I tell you what,
- 48:38Speaker 1: you know what I'm gonna get our phone calls? Hill, Okay,
- 48:41Speaker 1: respect the ring. You understand what I'm saying to you.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I didn't fo shit, man, But I don't understand what
- 48:46Speaker 1: you can understand about that. Respect the ring. And man,
- 48:50Speaker 1: I got one more things I need to say to you. Man,
- 48:53Speaker 1: got to say to me. Man, you ain't got to
- 48:55Speaker 1: say to say to me except to hit it quick
- 48:57Speaker 1: in your heel. Right, I got one more damn thing
- 48:59Speaker 1: to say you, and then I'm gonna get off the phone.
- 49:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna be stupid it man, I'm gonna be about
- 49:02Speaker 1: to say to me. What what's you gotta say to me? Fly?
- 49:05Speaker 1: Hang up? I got this to say to you. This
- 49:09Speaker 1: is nephew Tommy from the Steve Horbin Morning Show. Your

- 49:40Speaker 1: got me. Well, I guess this is a good time
- 49:42Speaker 1: to tell you the class reunion is coming up, and
- 49:47Speaker 1: I guess ain't no class room. Huh No, here's a
- 49:49Speaker 1: class of union you need to get rid of because
- 49:51Speaker 1: you're going. Yeah, I'll be making sure if there is one,
- 49:55Speaker 1: definitely be there. Who if you can't hear it in
- 50:04Speaker 1: this ear, take the phone and put it up to
- 50:06Speaker 1: the other ear. Let me help you down for what
- 50:09Speaker 1: it is. You ain't here a man? Brothers when you
- 50:13Speaker 1: when you talk about the dude's wife. Oh man, dude,
- 50:17Speaker 1: go right there with you. He not playing with you, man, Silvia.

- 51:25Speaker 1: It was I went to twenty. It started getting thin
- 51:30Speaker 1: at the twenty. Car a real thing. We did? What Tori?
- 51:36Speaker 1: Remember everybody's She'll say, don't you remember? No, remember everybody, man,
- 51:44Speaker 1: especially when you when your classmate look like your teacher.
- 51:46Speaker 1: You like this, I remember everybody you coming up nex

- 52:36Speaker 1: You never know buggle up, hold on tight. We got
- 52:40Speaker 1: it for you. Here. It is the Strawberry letter, Thank
- 52:42Speaker 1: you nephew, subject I fell for the Okie Dokee. Dear
- 52:46Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty eight year old single mother
- 52:49Speaker 1: and I'm in a crazy situation with my exes. I
- 52:53Speaker 1: was married eight years to a man that cheated on
- 52:55Speaker 1: me multiple times. The first time was right after i'd
- 52:59Speaker 1: had our first I forgave him and we moved on
- 53:02Speaker 1: with life. Three years later, I got pregnant again and
- 53:06Speaker 1: he started acting out again. I was in labor when
- 53:09Speaker 1: I found out he cheated. The second time. He fell
- 53:11Speaker 1: asleep and his phone rang, so I answered it and
- 53:14Speaker 1: the lady told me everything. When I got home from
- 53:17Speaker 1: the hospital, he was gone and I started raising my
- 53:20Speaker 1: children alone. A year later, I decided to file for divorce.
- 53:25Speaker 1: One of my former care workers helped me with the process,
- 53:28Speaker 1: and we grew very close because she came over often
- 53:32Speaker 1: to check on me and the children. Right as my
- 53:35Speaker 1: divorce was final, I found myself in a relationship with
- 53:38Speaker 1: this woman. She arranged visitation with my ex husband and
- 53:43Speaker 1: the children, so I didn't have to talk to him
- 53:45Speaker 1: or deal with him at all. A year had passed
- 53:49Speaker 1: and I thought things were going good until one Saturday
- 53:52Speaker 1: when I decided to go to the outlet mall in
- 53:55Speaker 1: the neighboring city. I passed by a restaurant and recognized
- 53:59Speaker 1: my girlfriend on the patio with my ex husband. I
- 54:04Speaker 1: parked and watched them for a while, and he couldn't
- 54:07Speaker 1: keep his hands off of her, and she could not
- 54:10Speaker 1: stop blushing. I fell for the okie doke and let
- 54:13Speaker 1: this woman slide right into the arms of my ex husband.
- 54:17Speaker 1: She knew exactly how he treated me and how lowdown
- 54:21Speaker 1: he is, yet she used me to get to him.
- 54:24Speaker 1: She came to my house later that day and I
- 54:26Speaker 1: showed her picks of her and my ex that I
- 54:30Speaker 1: took on my phone. All she said was I'm so sorry,
- 54:35Speaker 1: and she left. My ex tried calling me, but I
- 54:38Speaker 1: blocked him. How will I ever trust a man or
- 54:41Speaker 1: a woman again in a relationship? Who? Okay, these are
- 54:48Speaker 1: two horrible people who actually deserve each other, your ex
- 54:54Speaker 1: husband and your ex girlfriend. I know you're hurt. I
- 54:57Speaker 1: know you're betrayed right now, but whatever this is between them,
- 55:02Speaker 1: don't worry. It's not gonna last. It's not I mean,
- 55:06Speaker 1: you know, she's a backstabbing ex friend and the side chick.
- 55:11Speaker 1: They usually don't, you know, stick with them. We haven't
- 55:15Speaker 1: had one like this in a while, though, Steve, So
- 55:19Speaker 1: to the letter this is a mess, right we have.
- 55:22Speaker 1: It's been a minute, So to the letter writer. Basically,
- 55:26Speaker 1: your husband cheated on you throughout your marriage, and when
- 55:29Speaker 1: you had had enough, you divorced him. Your female friend
- 55:32Speaker 1: from from work that you used to work with stepped
- 55:34Speaker 1: in to help you get through it. All. You guys
- 55:37Speaker 1: ended up in a relationship, and now she's cheating on
- 55:39Speaker 1: you with your ex husband that she helped you get over.
- 55:44Speaker 1: And wasn't it nice of her to say she was
- 55:47Speaker 1: so sorry when you showed her the pictures? Wow? Your
- 55:52Speaker 1: question is how do you trust a man or a
- 55:54Speaker 1: woman again? I mean to that, I just say, it's
- 55:57Speaker 1: not going to happen tomorrow. You know, trust once as
- 56:00Speaker 1: broken as a thing. You have to build and you
- 56:02Speaker 1: don't need to trust them. But in your next relationships, yeah,
- 56:07Speaker 1: it's probably going to be a problem with you. It's
- 56:11Speaker 1: gonna take some time. I say, don't jump into another
- 56:14Speaker 1: relationship right away. You need a moment to process all
- 56:18Speaker 1: of this because this is crazy. This really is crazy.
- 56:21Speaker 1: I mean, betrayal upon betrayal is what happened to you.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You know, I'll say this, judge any new prospects on
- 56:30Speaker 1: their own merit. You know, you're talking about trust now
- 56:33Speaker 1: and how they treat you, not on the baggage from
- 56:36Speaker 1: your past. You know, you'll really find out how strong
- 56:39Speaker 1: you are when you go through something. The best revenge
- 56:42Speaker 1: is success looking good. So I say, work on yourself,
- 56:45Speaker 1: take care of your kids, don't let bitterness take over.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Keep moving forward. You know, remember you gotta give yourself time.
- 56:53Speaker 1: This was a lot. This was a lot. This was
- 56:56Speaker 1: a lot in time, heals. It was a whole lot
- 56:59Speaker 1: to deal with. Steve right when I was reading the letter,
- 57:06Speaker 1: thinking I had a handle on it, or the handle broke, yeah,
- 57:11Speaker 1: and then all the coffee fell out the cup. And
- 57:15Speaker 1: this is just lady, I see the opening. I'm a
- 57:23Speaker 1: thirty ye year old single mother and I'm in a
- 57:24Speaker 1: crazy situation with my exes. That was no clue on
- 57:28Speaker 1: who these exes was at all. So you're married to
- 57:32Speaker 1: this man cheated on you multiple times. Now, most of
- 57:38Speaker 1: this could be over with had you done a couple
- 57:41Speaker 1: of things differently early. I'll save that for last though,
- 57:47Speaker 1: and the first time was right after you had your
- 57:50Speaker 1: first child. You forgave him and y'all moved on with life.
- 57:56Speaker 1: But see, there were no repercussions. Once a man don't
- 58:01Speaker 1: have repercussions, then there's no consequences. Then there's no teaching moment.
- 58:10Speaker 1: We just required at almost all of us do. It's
- 58:12Speaker 1: like your children. It's like they require repercussions and consequences
- 58:16Speaker 1: for the lesson to really stick. If you don't want
- 58:19Speaker 1: to do that, you're gonna happen again. Well, it happens again. Next,
- 58:23Speaker 1: say you pregnant again? He fell asleep. Now this time
- 58:28Speaker 1: you were in labor. He fell asleep his phone rang
- 58:33Speaker 1: I answered, and the lady told you everything. Now I'm
- 58:36Speaker 1: trying to figure out when you're in the hospital in labor. Yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 1: all right, hang on, we'll have part two of us
- 58:44Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Subject for today, I fell for the Oki joke. Wow,
- 58:51Speaker 1: we'll get back into it at twenty three minutes after
- 58:53Speaker 1: the hour. Right after this. You're listening to show, All right,
- 58:58Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The
- 59:02Speaker 1: subject I fell for the oky dope all right, thirty
- 59:06Speaker 1: eight year old single mother, crazy situation with access. She
- 59:09Speaker 1: was married to a man to cheat it on a
- 59:11Speaker 1: bunch of times. The first time, after they had their
- 59:14Speaker 1: first child, she forgave him and they moved on. Three
- 59:17Speaker 1: years later, she got pregnant again and he started acting
- 59:21Speaker 1: out again. I was in labor I found out he
- 59:24Speaker 1: cheated the second time. He fell asleep in his phone ring.
- 59:27Speaker 1: So I answered, and the lady told me everything. Why
- 59:30Speaker 1: are you in label? Wow? Now here's a crazy part.
- 59:34Speaker 1: When I got home from the hospital, he was gone.
- 59:40Speaker 1: He was just gone. So now you raised the children alone.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Then a year later you filed for divorce. Co worker
- 59:48Speaker 1: helped you with the process. We go very close because
- 59:51Speaker 1: she came over often to check on me and the children.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Right as his divorce was final, I found myself in
- 59:57Speaker 1: a relationship with this woman. Now I've been divorced twice. Yeah,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: you obviously were very distraught and you sought comfort. Now
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: who had come from? That's your business? Do you boot
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: and so? Now? But here's but now here's what I
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: tell you. I don't care who you doing it with.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Once you get into relationship and problems, it's the same
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: man on man, woman on woman. Man boy meets girls,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you get in relationship, like everybody talking about marriage, go
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: getting married. Okay, okay, you'll see this is work now.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: So she arranged vegetation with my ex husband and the children,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: so I didn't even have to talk a deal with him.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: A year pass and I thought things were going good.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Into one Saturday. You was going out to the outlet
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: mall in the neighboring city and you was driving by
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: this restaurant and you recognize your girlfriend on the patio
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: with your ex husband. So you parked and watched him
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: for a while, and he couldn't keep his hands off her,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: and she couldn't stop blushing. I failed for the okay doke,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and I let this woman slide into the arms of
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: my ex husband. It's not this woman. Knew exactly how
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: this woman treated you and everything and how low down
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: he is, yet she used me to get to him.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: She came to your house later that day and I
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: showed a picture of my ex that I took on
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: my phone, and all she said was I'm so sorry. Yeah,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: that was that was real nice and left. My ex
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: husband tried calling me, but I blocked him. Well, the
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: reason your ex husband stried calling you, it's because she
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: called him and said, launch Jesus. She saw us at
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: the outlet mall and she showed me pictures. So I
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: blocked him. How will I ever trust a man or
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: woman again in relationship? Okay, here's a deal. Let's forget
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: about the term the question you're asking, how can I
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: ever trust a man or woman in another relationship? Because
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: there are good men and women out there that you
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: can be in relationships with text time, that's not the problem.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Your problem is not trust, but it's better timing and
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: better decision making. So when Shirley said earlier, the real
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: issue is you got to take some time just for you.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: You was in a traumatic divorce. Soon as the divorce
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: was over, you fell into arms and this woman. Then
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: the woman fell into the arms and your ex, and
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: your ex fell into the arms of her, and everybody
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: holding somebody self for you right now. And so what
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: this becomes it's not about trust. It's just about better
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: timing and better decisions. And the timing I'm talking about
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: is you need some time just to do you, to
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: treat yourself right. See, don't let the people ruin your
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: idea of what the relationships can be because they are
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: all relationships that don't have trust issues in it. You
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: just got to get to that one. But see, let
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: me take you back to your better decision. When your
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: husband cheated the first time, you said they treated multiple times,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: but the first time you found out about it, y'all
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: just went on with life. There was no consequences. So
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I'm assuming some other times happened. But the next time
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you busted him you were labor in the hospital. That
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: was no consequences. What you mean you came home, he
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: was just gone. You was married. No, no, you can't
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: just up and go. Where was the consequences? He just gone? No,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: you ain't gonna no, no no. You've been to make
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: some donations over here, partner, But you've got to learn
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: to make better decisions, and you could have avoided this
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: second one or third one. Maybe I'm just saying in
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: once you have self love and you know how it
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: feels to love yourself, you don't accept bad love from
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: other people because you know what loving yourself is about.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: And if ain't nobody gonna treat you the way you
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: want to be treated, then don't move in that direction.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: And then take your time, slow down. Just because this
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: woman was helpful, there ain't no reason to fall into
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: her homes helpful. Hell, I help people on the Strawberry Letter,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: me and Shelly, but we're not falling into your own.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: All right, listen, thank you Steve your radio show. I
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: think that's serious. So crazy? Are these are real issues? Though?
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Poster comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey FM
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: on demand now coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: the hour Sports Talk with Junior. Right after this, you're
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Junior, time for
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: your sports talk? What you got for us? Deon Sanders
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Prime Time is speaking out after no HBCU players were
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: selected during the NFL Draft. According to Primes, there were
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: two hundred and fifty nine picks in the twenty twenty
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: one NFL Draft, and not one single draft pick featured
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: a player from an HBCU. You mean to tell me
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: all all the talent at Grambling seven, but through Cookman Howard,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: North Carolina, ant Alabama State, nobody Jackson got Draft Jackson.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Stay right here. That is two hundred fifty. I know
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: about three draft picks on the Texas they could we
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: could get one from it. I know you can get
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: one from Texas. Nobody we drafted. I swear to god,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: we don't know nobody we got. Wow. But that is um.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: That is I think that's why PRIM is in the
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: HBCU area to give these guys, these these players, the
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: jump players, to get a look at bringing these scouts
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: in brings. That's that's what he's there. And he's being
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: joined by a lot of black head coaches at at HBCU.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I was just gonna ask you because he having support, huh.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Not not one, no, not one, not for this. And
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I mind you, there's some Hall of famers that came
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: out of HBCU school one Jerry Rice please, hello, good
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: dood will you? Michael straighthand hello Walter Payton, Walter Payton,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Walter Day there. Yeah, he didn't get drafted. He just
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: came out. We're gonna talk about this morning. Those are
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: just unknown, very unknown, limited NFL facts that I know. Yeah,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: that's what I said, what Steve, don't nobody know that?
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: That's like said that stayed out of prey of view,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: which even makes it lower press careful, you know, powerfully?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: All right, listen, Thank you, Junior. Well, we'll follow this
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: story with you because it's interesting. We'll have more of
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Morning Show. All right, here's
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: a question for you, guys. How soon will you get
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: tired of your family after reuniting with them? You know,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: the world is starting to open up now. This is
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: a question we saw on Facebook. It says, I'm fully
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: vaccinated and about to see my family for the first
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: time since December of twenty nineteen. December of twenty nineteen.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I might cry when I see them, but two days
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: into the visit, I will be hiding from them in
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: my room watching Netflix on my phone. So the question
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: how long do you give yourself before you want to
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: quant quarantine alone again? Weekend? Family one weekend, same as
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: a reunion. So as that reunion normally, what you're done
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: family reunion normally when the family reunion, you know, that's
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: thought about what Friday thirty Friday, go to side. You're tired,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: abody I can see I can't. It ain't got to
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: be to next year until I see y'all again Sunday
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: after that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're gonna be a little
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: church service and then a little brunch. That's it. Yeah.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I don't really suffer like that because I don't see
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: him much. Nohow So the pandemic, it's just what they
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: don't write on time. For me, it's a silver lighting.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: It just was like, okay, well, you know, I'm gonna
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: just keep the payments coming. I don't see him that much,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: no way, So I'm I'm I'm gonna try to God willing,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: you know, have them all to the house. There's summer
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: for barbecue or something. From just my immedia family now, huh,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: that's my my brother, my two sisters, oh my nephew.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: El that's all I do. I don't do no more.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: He don't need to come. Why you know he's coming though,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: but you know not now he kind of famous too,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: so I don't. I don't want him telling everybody no
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: because you know he's stage is hell. Y'all know he
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: typed now, oh oh, he take care of his mama.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: But after that, you get real. It's slim pickings after that.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: A matter of fact, they'd be calling me all the time.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: So this show timmy on you got his number. Nope,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: that's what I'm gonna don't time. I'm gonna pass your number.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: No you're not. Yeah, listen to reunite. Yeah, Junior, what
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: about your family? You know I love your family, my my, my,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: whole visit depends on who show up the barbecue, the function.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I'm not staying if they say, you know, like timming
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: them coming through that, then timing them I'm not I'm
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: not staying at timm so so Junior, So you to
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: do that when they call and ask you to come back,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: your first question is who? All over the ye black
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: question right there, all over the real black question, all
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: over that. But Junior, you don't miss them because of quarantine?
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Is any year over year you don't miss miss Timmy
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: and him? No, I've been paying for stuff in quarantine.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I don't miss No, they't like they ain't calling every
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: other thing. Yeah, you know now they called. But you're
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: seeing out how you're you're like your grandmother used to say,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: I just want to put my eyes on you. You
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: don't want to just put your eyes on anyone in
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: your family? Sure? Yeah, yeah, you don't want to hug
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: him past hug We got it. We got a social
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: distance nothing. Huh. My grandmother has found out how to FaceTime.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: It's the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. She speak,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: Did put the phone up to her ear? Now, mother
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: than her ear? You ain't got to do that. Granted
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: what you say? Did you put it right back on
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: the ear? Granted? Just look at me and talk? Look
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: at you a du what we fifteen minutes? I love you?
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Just call me, call me, Hold up? Hold up. Mardree's
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: mom and daddy FaceTime and her daddy call his phone
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: be so close to his face you just be looking
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: up his nostril on the whole FaceTime. We'll have more
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: minutes after. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, So every man handled the
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: midlife crisis differently. We hear a lot of times about
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: men who buy sports cars, who get young women, you know, etcetera, etcetera,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: new clothes all that, you know, maybe a two pay
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: if they're ball, you know, just different stuff. Right, Well,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Diddy did something entirely different. Sean Diddy Combs now has
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: decided to change his name again to review he was
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: born Sean Combs. He's been known by several nicknames over
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the years, Puff Daddy, Puffy, Pee Diddy, and now Diddy.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: That's what everybody calls him now, he said. Yeah. He
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: said back in twenty seventeen that he was going to
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: change his name to brother Love, and Puffy shared a
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: picture of his Florida driver's license on the Graham that
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: reflected his new name. It's it said, Sean Love Combs.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: And then his post was look at what I just
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: got in the mail today. Uh, it's official. Welcome to
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: the Love era. So now you know we called love.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: He ain't got nothing to do. Clearly you're a pandemic. Pandemic.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: They got what you think, Steve can Are you gonna
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: call him love now when you see him? Because you
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: know him. I still call him Puffy. That's my favorite. Yeah,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: I love. Yeah, Well, when you see him now, just
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: call him love. I'm not calling love. We Love. More
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at thirty
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: three minutes after right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: all right, So on this wellness Wednesday, we all saw
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: the picture that Will Smith posted yesterday. He says he
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: loves his body that carried him through this entire pandemic
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: and countless days of grazing through the pantry, but he
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: wants to feel better, no more midnight muffins. Will went
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: on to say midnight muffins are good. He didn't say that.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I'm saying that. Will went on to say that he
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: wants to get in the best shape of his life,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: and so he's teaming up with YouTube now to document
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: and get his health and wellness back on track. So
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: good for him, really good for him. So you know,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: it's like he's posting these pictures saying he's not gonna lie.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: He's in the worst shape of his life, but he's
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: getting the way to monetize it, you know what I mean,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Because I mean he's gonna do it anyway, might as
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: well get paid r Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah, I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: mean you know how many people gonna tune in for
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: that money off of it. That's a great thing, you know. Yeah,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: especially if him saying he wants to get an to
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: the best shape of his life. It reminds me of
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Llo cool j when he went on that journey, and
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: he remember that he didn't turned back. He's stayed there
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: the whole time. Yeah, yeah, he went hard. Yeah, no, no,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: he doesn't look like that anymore. Tommy, No, you're talking
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: about the boxing l You're talking about L cool J. Yeah.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: Oh no he he don't look like that video. It's
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: a whole nother lifestyle. And you can't live that way.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: When when you see bodybuilders, when you see bodybuilders that
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: go off of these contests, they go into transformation mold
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: they don't look like that year round. What about the
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: rock though, Steve he does the rock is different? How
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: is it different? Because you said he travels with his
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: gem all of that. You you're gonna do that. I
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: don't take a damn I don't take a dumbbell with
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: my ass. Yeah, you didn't have that. When you're in Africa,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I had. I had some stretch bands and pulling them
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: out twice twice. Man I was man, I was in
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: survival Molde. Man. I had my trainer with me and everything.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I couldn't between doing family feud in Africa and radio
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: back over here on them time zones. Oh no, dog,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: I was done. So I turned my train into a
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: security guard checked his body that was blowing up in
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: front of your face, coming up it as our last
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: break of the day, and we'll have some closing remarks
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after the hour from the one
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: in Emily Steve Harvey. Right after this you're listening to
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: all right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: day on this hump day Wednesday. Okay, yes, ma'am, pretty
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: good day. I can't wait for your poem coming up
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: later in the week, Junior, for Mother's Day. I look
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: forward to Gotlan. I look forward to it. Yes, I'm
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: looking forward to your poem because I am looking forward
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: to revealing your new name on the show. I'm thank you.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I like the new name. Welcome. I don't worry about
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: all right, Steve, time for you to step up to
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: the mic. Well, you know, today I wanted to remind
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: people of something, and that is the power of power thinking.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: And I was reminded of that because I was listening
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: to a sermon the other day online. I was listening
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: to one of Joel Olstein's sermons, and he reminded me
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: how important the mind is. He had reminded me how
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: important the mind is tied to your words, because it's
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: a true statement from the Bible that a man is
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: as he thinketh right. So what you think determines who
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you are, where you go, and some people are not
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: taking advantage of this gift that God has given us,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: which is the power of choice. And you have a
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: right to make decisions to be positive or negative. That's
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: a choice you have. And so in this choice on
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: a daily basis, if you wake up to have power thoughts,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: if you can manufacture thoughts to move your life in
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: an upward and forward trajectory, that's the way you get
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: the life of your dreams and ambitions and goals and
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: and and and things that feel your imagination. You can
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: only get these things by having power thoughts. So let
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: let me show you what we mean here. When you
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: wake up in the morning, if you confess with your mouth,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: if you open your mouth and say Wow, thank you Lord, today,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: I expect great things to happen. I today am going
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: to live my life to the fullest. I'm going to
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: accept the things that are happening to me and realizing
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: that with you, all things are possible. That no matter
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: what besets me today, that I have no problem bigger
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: than my God. So I look forward to today and
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: I move forward with the expectation that this is going
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: to be a great day. If you open your day
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: with that affirmation, you have no idea what you set
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: into motion. You set into motion positive things to happen.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Because if the Bible is true what it always is,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: if a man is as you think, if you've just
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: set the pattern for what your day could be, that
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: no matter what besets you, that you have the ability
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: to understand that God got you. See, God does have you.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Because I was reminded that God doesn't put anything on
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: you that you can't handle. Think about that for a moment.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Every dire situation you've ever been in, every single one
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: of them, think about this, y'all. Have you not survived
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: them all? Or it might have lasted way longer than
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: you wanted to. The outcome could have been different than
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you thought it was, and you certainly didn't want it
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: and don't wish it on nobody. But did you not
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: survive it? It is what I'm asking you. Did you
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: not make it through every critical moment in your life?
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Did you survive the grief you was going to when
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: you thought it was unbearable? Did you not? The answer? Yes,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: you did. Now you may be carrying the residue of it,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: but that's on you. But God got you through it,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: because you still here. I was talking to a friend
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: whose mother had passed, and she passed sort of unexpectedly.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: She was in her eighties, and my partner's wife was
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: really really going through it. And he said, man, I
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: don't know what to do. I can't help her. Man,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: she just in a dog place. And so he said, hey, man,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: i've heard you on the radio. CO could just say
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: something to it. So it gave me a phone number
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: and I text her and in response, her message to
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: me was, you don't understand how I feel. And I said,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: wait a minute now, I'm sorry, but I think I
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: do because mine is gone too. I say, but are
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: you hanging on to it so you could feel badly
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: for yourself? Are you hanging on to it because it's
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: just the worst thing that's ever happening to you? I say,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: either way, it's bad. But can I ask you something?
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: Do you think this is what she would want you
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: to do? Did she not raise you to be strong? Independent?
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: This woman has degrees, I mean several degrees. She's a
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: bad girl, man, And she was just in a dark
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: phone and we would through several moments of talking to
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: it and I had to let it go. And then
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: about a month later she texts me and said, Wow,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: thank you so much. You were right. I said, no,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I was not right. God does what he always says
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: he's gonna do. He promised to never leave you. He
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: said he would not put more on you than you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: can bear, and he didn't. You bared it. It wasn't me.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I was just here to remind you that this thing
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you're going through that God will see you through it,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: just like he has every other thing in your life.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: So produce power thoughts when you wake up. Think energy
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: into your world. Put the positivity out there, because that's
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: exactly where to come back to you. If you put
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: negativity out there, old woe is me, then old woe
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: is you. Put power thoughts into the air and watch
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: what comes back in the air you breathe Trust me, y'all.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: That's how you start your day. Come on, y'all, power thoughts,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Power thoughts, have a great day. Will see you wrong
