- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdict with Center Ted Cruz, the week
- 0:04Speaker 1: in Review, Ben Ferguson with you, and we had some
- 0:06Speaker 1: major stories that if you missed them this week, you
- 0:09Speaker 1: want to make sure you know about them now. First up,
- 0:13Speaker 1: Biden Harris diverted billions from actual science research to DEI activities.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Where did it go and how did they get away
- 0:23Speaker 1: with it? We break that down for you. Also, what
- 0:26Speaker 1: does the actual law say about asylum seekers coming into
- 0:29Speaker 1: this country? Now they know how to play the system,
- 0:32Speaker 1: but are we supposed to let everyone stay who crosses
- 0:35Speaker 1: the southern border? The answer is no, But what does
- 0:38Speaker 1: the law say? And well, are the people in the
- 0:40Speaker 1: White House breaking the law? We'll explain that for you
- 0:43Speaker 1: as well. And finally, a major victory as Israel killed
- 0:47Speaker 1: Hamasa's mastermind behind the October seventh attack. How did they
- 0:52Speaker 1: pull it off? We explain it all. It's the Weekend
- 0:55Speaker 1: Review and it starts right now. I want to move
- 0:58Speaker 1: to another subject real quick. And this is the reason
- 1:01Speaker 1: why we do this podcast is we get to bring
- 1:03Speaker 1: you information that is not being covered and this is important.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:08Speaker 1: There was a investigation that you guys put together in
- 1:13Speaker 1: Washington that revealed and you were the leader on this
- 1:17Speaker 1: how the Biden Harris administration diverted billions of dollars from
- 1:23Speaker 1: scientific research to DEI activists. And for people that are listening,
- 1:29Speaker 1: let's start with this, remind them what DEI stands for.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And then this story that is broken.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Well, DEI is diversity, equity and inclusion, and it is
- 1:39Speaker 2: the catchphrase of the woke left. And let me just
- 1:43Speaker 2: give you, give you the headline. Before Biden took office
- 1:46Speaker 2: in twenty twenty, less than one percent of the grants
- 1:50Speaker 2: from the National Science Foundation were related to AID. Today
- 1:54Speaker 2: that number is greater than ten percent. So there has
- 1:59Speaker 2: been a massive, massive shift. Now what does that mean. Well,
- 2:02Speaker 2: this past week I put out a report. So as
- 2:06Speaker 2: you know, I'm the ranking member on the Senate Committee
- 2:08Speaker 2: of Commerce, Science, and Transportation. That means I'm the senior
- 2:12Speaker 2: Republican on the Commerce Committee. The Commerce Committee has jurisdiction
- 2:16Speaker 2: over about forty percent of the US economy, including science
- 2:19Speaker 2: and including the National Science Foundation. So my team engaged
- 2:23Speaker 2: in a systematic study and we put out a report
- 2:26Speaker 2: examining how the National Science Foundation has increasingly politicized the
- 2:32Speaker 2: use of taxpayer dollars meant for scientific research, and the
- 2:37Speaker 2: report shows that in its first week, the Biden Harris
- 2:42Speaker 2: administration mandated that all taxpayer funded scientific research and development
- 2:47Speaker 2: must incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion DEI values. In response
- 2:54Speaker 2: to this directive, the National Science Foundation allocated over two
- 2:59Speaker 2: point zero five billion dollars over two billion dollars to
- 3:06Speaker 2: thousands of research projects that promoted neo Marxist perspectives or
- 3:11Speaker 2: DEI tenants, and taxpayer dollars supported these very questionable scientific
- 3:17Speaker 2: studies used by researchers to drive extreme ideologies in the
- 3:22Speaker 2: classrooms and on their campuses. And here are the top
- 3:25Speaker 2: line numbers. Our analysis identified three thousand, four hundred and
- 3:30Speaker 2: eighty three grants, over ten percent of all National Science
- 3:33Speaker 2: Foundation grants during the Biden Harris administration that went to
- 3:37Speaker 2: questionable projects promoting DEI or pushing neo Marxist perspectives about
- 3:43Speaker 2: enduring class struggle, and our investigation grouped these grants into
- 3:48Speaker 2: five categories status, social justice, gender, race, and environmental justice.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So let me get let me give you some of
- 3:57Speaker 2: the examples. So you're in Vosugi, who is an associate
- 4:02Speaker 2: professor of Learning Sciences at Northwestern University and a co
- 4:06Speaker 2: Principal Investigator for a one million, thirty four thousand, seven
- 4:10Speaker 2: hundred and fifty one dollars NSF grant award in twenty
- 4:14Speaker 2: twenty three for a project titled quote Reimagining Educator learning
- 4:20Speaker 2: Pathways through story Work for racial Equity in STEM and
- 4:26Speaker 2: Vosugi credits Marxist traditions for her decision to teach quilt
- 4:31Speaker 2: children quote the meaning of genocide and apartheid after Hamas's
- 4:37Speaker 2: attack against israel I give you another example. In twenty
- 4:42Speaker 2: twenty three, NSF awarded Georgia Institute Technologies Kelly Cross ninety
- 4:47Speaker 2: nine thousand, seven hundred and ninety one dollars to quote
- 4:51Speaker 2: disrupt racialized privilege in the STEM classroom by acknowledging quote
- 4:58Speaker 2: whiteness and white supremacy are deeply ingrained in the past, present,
- 5:04Speaker 2: and future of US higher education. Cross sought to quote
- 5:08Speaker 2: subvert these toxic systems to create a more equitable education
- 5:13Speaker 2: system and to quote initiate a national conversation about addressing
- 5:18Speaker 2: racial inequity and white supremacy in the STEM profession and classroom.
- 5:24Speaker 2: This is what your taxpayers tax dollars are going towards.
- 5:28Speaker 1: How does this happen? Where they can divert this type
- 5:31Speaker 1: of funding at this level is the question I think
- 5:33Speaker 1: most taxpayers would want to ask immediately. Like, I can
- 5:37Speaker 1: understand skimming somebody here there, but diverting billions from scientific
- 5:41Speaker 1: research to di two billion dollars, yeah, two billion dollars
- 5:46Speaker 1: to DII activists. That's not where your tax dours are
- 5:49Speaker 1: supposed to go. And by the way, I think you
- 5:51Speaker 1: and I agree on this, I wouldn't want these funds
- 5:54Speaker 1: diverted to a conservative activist group either.
- 5:58Speaker 2: No, this is meant to be a science. This is
- 6:00Speaker 2: meant to be saving people's lives. Let me give you
- 6:02Speaker 2: another example. In twenty twenty two, NSF awarded San Jose
- 6:07Speaker 2: State University four hundred and one thousand, seven hundred and
- 6:10Speaker 2: forty four dollars for an ongoing project to quote transform
- 6:15Speaker 2: science teaching and learning through empowering teachers and students as
- 6:19Speaker 2: climate justice action researchers and change agents. The project is
- 6:25Speaker 2: meant to foster quote the development of a hub for
- 6:28Speaker 2: justice centered science education and will produce school based materials
- 6:32Speaker 2: in professional development activities that examine the interwoven nature of
- 6:36Speaker 2: climate justice and racial justice. Now, who was in charge
- 6:39Speaker 2: of this?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Well?
- 6:40Speaker 2: The principal investigator was Tammy Visentainer, who sees her classroom
- 6:48Speaker 2: as a venue for social activism. In April twenty twenty four,
- 6:52Speaker 2: Vicentainer wrote that her course quote for aspiring middle and
- 6:56Speaker 2: high school teachers centers racial justice in science education, and
- 7:02Speaker 2: at the end of her course, she showed her student's
- 7:05Speaker 2: photos of Israel ramp dropping pamphlets inside the Gaza strip
- 7:10Speaker 2: to warn residents to move out of the way of
- 7:12Speaker 2: incoming rocket fire. Vis Attainer, who claimed that Hamasa's October
- 7:18Speaker 2: terror attack needed to be contextualized, explain that the photos
- 7:23Speaker 2: quote creates spaces that engage complexity in promotion of shared
- 7:28Speaker 2: dignity and humanity to build bridges across differences. But she
- 7:33Speaker 2: didn't explain what the hell they had to do with science,
- 7:36Speaker 2: which is what a National Science Foundation grant is supposed
- 7:40Speaker 2: to be about.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Send her final question on this story that you obviously
- 7:44Speaker 1: have broken, and it's a big one. When these types
- 7:49Speaker 1: of stories break, usually in the past, you'd have a
- 7:53Speaker 1: lot of media that would cover it. You'd have other
- 7:55Speaker 1: colleagues that would come in and say they want to
- 7:57Speaker 1: make sure this is stopped, or or have rules and
- 8:01Speaker 1: regulations that would help stop it right away. When you
- 8:04Speaker 1: came out with this report, did any of the major
- 8:06Speaker 1: media outlets call and say, hey, we want this info
- 8:09Speaker 1: that you're exposing, or do they just look the other way?
- 8:12Speaker 2: Well, there were a handful of stories, but they were
- 8:14Speaker 2: principally in conservative outlets because the actual corporate media doesn't
- 8:18Speaker 2: cover news. This news is inconvenient. The fact that Kamala
- 8:23Speaker 2: Harris and Joe Biden are funneling billions that's meant to
- 8:26Speaker 2: go to science, that's meant to save lives, that's meant
- 8:28Speaker 2: to promote like basic research, they're funneling it instead to
- 8:33Speaker 2: aggressively ideological left wing activists, zelots. They're using it to
- 8:39Speaker 2: corrupt students, to corrupt universities, to corrupt K through twelve education.
- 8:44Speaker 2: That is a message that the media does not want
- 8:47Speaker 2: to cover. They will actively do everything they can to suppress, because, look,
- 8:52Speaker 2: you know, what's the big deal to stealing billions of
- 8:54Speaker 2: dollars a tax paramney to fund Marxists poisoning the minds
- 8:58Speaker 2: of our kids. The next thing you're going, you know,
- 9:00Speaker 2: you're going to say it's a big deal that a
- 9:03Speaker 2: handful of apartment complexes are taken over by Venezuelan gangs.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 9:13Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. This
- 9:18Speaker 1: is something that I think many Americans don't understand about
- 9:21Speaker 1: those that seeking asylum, and explain that more the law.
- 9:25Speaker 1: What it says, because this is part of the abuse
- 9:28Speaker 1: by the left is they make you think that if
- 9:30Speaker 1: anyone in the world is in essence not happy with
- 9:33Speaker 1: the conditions of where they are in their life, or
- 9:38Speaker 1: what they're living, where they're living, or who's in charge
- 9:41Speaker 1: of a country, that that therefore means they should immediately
- 9:45Speaker 1: go to the front of the line and come straight
- 9:47Speaker 1: into American We should take care of them. And you
- 9:49Speaker 1: just says that it's really important you don't just allow
- 9:51Speaker 1: people to come in into this country because they don't
- 9:54Speaker 1: like their quote economic conditions.
- 9:57Speaker 2: That's exactly right what US law is as we have asylum.
- 10:01Speaker 2: We offer people asylum, but to qualify for asylum, you
- 10:06Speaker 2: have to demonstrate a quote credible fear of political persecution.
- 10:11Speaker 2: If you're in say a communist country, and you can
- 10:14Speaker 2: demonstrate the government if they capture you, they're going to
- 10:17Speaker 2: torture you, they're going to kill you. That's typically the
- 10:21Speaker 2: kind of showing you've got to demonstrate to qualify for asylum.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It's explicitly political persecution. And one of the reason is, look,
- 10:30Speaker 2: there're seven to eight billion people on planet Earth, that
- 10:33Speaker 2: there are billions of people living in poverty. Our nation
- 10:37Speaker 2: has about three hundred and thirty million Americans. We don't
- 10:39Speaker 2: have the capacity, we don't have the ability to provide
- 10:43Speaker 2: for billions of people flooding in who are simply in
- 10:46Speaker 2: poverty and would like to live better, particularly when you
- 10:49Speaker 2: combine it with the democrats welfare state, because understand, Kamala
- 10:52Speaker 2: Harris doesn't just provide open border. She says, you get
- 10:55Speaker 2: here and we'll give you welfare, we'll give you free healthcare,
- 10:58Speaker 2: we will give you money. And so frankly, look, I
- 11:02Speaker 2: understand why the people come to this country. If you're
- 11:05Speaker 2: living in poverty and you get to come to America
- 11:07Speaker 2: and these idiots in the government are going to give
- 11:09Speaker 2: you free everything, why wouldn't you come? But that is
- 11:13Speaker 2: not US law. Economic need poverty does not qualify for asylum,
- 11:19Speaker 2: and the Democrats don't care. They're not even pretending this
- 11:22Speaker 2: meets US law. So what they do, here's the game.
- 11:25Speaker 2: You show up. And by the way, just about every
- 11:28Speaker 2: one of these these illegal immigrants is trained by the
- 11:31Speaker 2: traffickers to say, I'm claiming asylum. Now, the Biden administration
- 11:35Speaker 2: knows that when their claim is adjudicated, that fewer than
- 11:38Speaker 2: ten percent will meet the standards for asylum. That almost
- 11:42Speaker 2: none of them have any credible fear. They're simply poor
- 11:45Speaker 2: and they want a better life and they want handouts.
- 11:47Speaker 2: But what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are doing is
- 11:51Speaker 2: they say, Okay, we'll take you for asylum. We'll set
- 11:54Speaker 2: you a court date three, four, five, ten years in
- 11:56Speaker 2: the future, and in the meantime, we'll let you go.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Welcome to America. And by the way, a bunch of
- 12:02Speaker 2: them are never seen again. That policy is called catch
- 12:04Speaker 2: and release. That when people are apprehended, they let him go.
- 12:07Speaker 2: By the way, how did the murderer who killed Lake
- 12:10Speaker 2: and Riley get to Georgia because of catch and release?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Because Joe Biden Kamala Harris apprehended him and let him go.
- 12:16Speaker 2: How did the murderer who killed Rachel Morin get to
- 12:19Speaker 2: suburban Maryland because of catch and release? Joe Biden Kamala
- 12:22Speaker 2: Harris apprehended him and let him go. How did the
- 12:24Speaker 2: two murderers and rapists who raped and murdered Joscelyn Nunger
- 12:27Speaker 2: get to Houston, Texas because Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
- 12:31Speaker 2: did catch and release. They caught him, they cut both
- 12:34Speaker 2: of them, they had them in custody, and they released them.
- 12:39Speaker 2: There is no credible argument with these criminals that eat
- 12:42Speaker 2: the standards of asylum, But Kamala Harris doesn't care.
- 12:47Speaker 1: You know. I think there's even something else that's just
- 12:50Speaker 1: a personal example that we've talked about in the past
- 12:54Speaker 1: on the show. It is the beginning of your last book.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Your dad was a poster child for someone that would
- 13:04Speaker 1: deserve and need asylum in the US because of political persecution,
- 13:09Speaker 1: the genuine fear of death when he fled Cuba. Let's
- 13:13Speaker 1: just take a moment and let people understand how far
- 13:16Speaker 1: that pendulum has swung since your dad was a political
- 13:20Speaker 1: refugee basically in the US. I think I'm describing that correctly.
- 13:26Speaker 2: My father was a political refugee. Actually came initially on
- 13:29Speaker 2: a student visa, so he was admitted to the University
- 13:32Speaker 2: of Texas. He came in nineteen fifty seven, and so
- 13:34Speaker 2: he studied at UT. He got a degree in UT
- 13:38Speaker 2: graduated in sixty one with a degree in math, and
- 13:41Speaker 2: at that point Castro had taken over and had begun
- 13:45Speaker 2: persecuting dissonance. My aunt might Theo Sonia, I was with
- 13:48Speaker 2: both my father and my Theosnia this evening. My Theo
- 13:51Speaker 2: Sonia fought in the counter revolution against Castro. Might Theos
- 13:54Speaker 2: Sonia was in prison. She was tortured by Castro, and
- 13:59Speaker 2: so my family, my father was granted asylum status because
- 14:03Speaker 2: why if he came back to Cuba, they'd murder him.
- 14:05Speaker 2: My Thea Sonia got out of Cuba and she was
- 14:08Speaker 2: granted asylum status because again the government, they had a
- 14:12Speaker 2: credible fear, they met the legal standard we see from
- 14:16Speaker 2: communist countries that persecute dictators. That's what the asylum laws
- 14:20Speaker 2: were made for, is if you can demonstrate if I
- 14:23Speaker 2: go back to my country, the government will imprison me,
- 14:26Speaker 2: torture me, kill me. That's why we have asylum laws.
- 14:30Speaker 2: The claim was not just I'm in poverty and I
- 14:33Speaker 2: would like to live in America. And the reason our
- 14:36Speaker 2: laws don't grant a special status to that is they're
- 14:39Speaker 2: literally billions of people that fall into that category, and
- 14:43Speaker 2: we do not have the capacity. And I want to
- 14:45Speaker 2: make a point here, Ben, because you know, sometimes people
- 14:48Speaker 2: on the left say, oh gosh, we're just so compassionate
- 14:51Speaker 2: when it comes to immigration. Understand, there is no country
- 14:55Speaker 2: on planet Earth that is more compassionate, that is more
- 14:59Speaker 2: generous when it came come to immigration. In the United
- 15:01Speaker 2: States of America, every year we let in more than
- 15:04Speaker 2: one million legal immigrants. There's no other country that's doing that.
- 15:08Speaker 2: You can't do that in France, you can't do that.
- 15:10Speaker 2: In Britain. You can't do that in Australia. You can't
- 15:12Speaker 2: do that in Japan. Name your country. None of them
- 15:15Speaker 2: do what America does. So we are we welcome immigrants.
- 15:19Speaker 2: But there's a right way to come. You come legally,
- 15:22Speaker 2: you follow the rules, you wait in line. That's the
- 15:25Speaker 2: way the system is meant to go. And it goes
- 15:27Speaker 2: back to our first story, Bill Clinton, if they'd been
- 15:30Speaker 2: properly vetted, you know what, if you're trying to come
- 15:33Speaker 2: in legally, if you're a member of Venezuelan gang, if
- 15:36Speaker 2: you're a murderer, if you're a rapist, if you're a
- 15:37Speaker 2: child molester. You're not going to get in legally when
- 15:40Speaker 2: you're vetted, which is why these open borders are causing
- 15:44Speaker 2: such devastations and they are making American families much much
- 15:49Speaker 2: less safe.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Final question on this, and it's an important one. I
- 15:53Speaker 1: think the American people are really understanding the game here,
- 15:58Speaker 1: and they're understanding that these my caravans that are coming
- 16:01Speaker 1: and they're running here in case Trump gets elected. They
- 16:05Speaker 1: even understand this election is either about a wide open
- 16:08Speaker 1: border that continues in mass amnesty or law and order
- 16:13Speaker 1: in a secure border with Donald Trump. If the illegal
- 16:17Speaker 1: immigrants that are rushing to get in here before Donald
- 16:21Speaker 1: Trump would take office, that's that's clearly they're right that
- 16:25Speaker 1: they're saying this, right, they're the ones they're telling us this.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Then then then shouldn't every American take a look at
- 16:32Speaker 1: that and realize just the difference, uh of of the
- 16:37Speaker 1: perspective from an illegal immigrant senator If this is what
- 16:42Speaker 1: they're doing right now ahead of time to understand like
- 16:45Speaker 1: there's two policies here, they're two very different and and
- 16:50Speaker 1: no matter what Harris says, no matter what Walla says,
- 16:53Speaker 1: the illegal immigrants know that they are good for business,
- 16:57Speaker 1: that's good for human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking. The
- 17:00Speaker 1: list goes on and on, and Donald Trump is gonna
- 17:03Speaker 1: shut it down. The party's over. I think that's an
- 17:07Speaker 1: incredibly important point that needs to be made. These illegal
- 17:11Speaker 1: immigrants get it.
- 17:12Speaker 2: They do. And you know another number that everyone should
- 17:16Speaker 2: know is two thousand, six hundred percent. Do you know
- 17:21Speaker 2: what twenty six hundred percent is.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna guess the amount of illegal immigration that's gone
- 17:26Speaker 1: up since they got into office.
- 17:29Speaker 2: No, now, it's actually a different stat than that. So
- 17:32Speaker 2: in twenty eighteen, the Mexican drug cartels were earning roughly
- 17:37Speaker 2: five hundred million dollars in revenue from human trafficking. Now, look,
- 17:41Speaker 2: five hundred million dollars a lot of money. Do you
- 17:44Speaker 2: know how much they made last year? I hell of
- 17:46Speaker 2: a lot more than that, thirteen billion dollars. And those
- 17:52Speaker 2: stats are from the New York Times. That is a
- 17:55Speaker 2: two thousand, six hundred percent increase, Joe Biden and Kamala
- 17:59Speaker 2: Harris said, been incredibly good. In fact, I've joked, you know,
- 18:03Speaker 2: the standard test for any presidential election is are you
- 18:07Speaker 2: better off now than you were four years ago? And
- 18:09Speaker 2: I've joked, unless you're a Mexican drug lord. And by
- 18:13Speaker 2: the way, if you are a Mexican drug lord, you
- 18:16Speaker 2: should definitely vote for Kamala Harris because she's made you
- 18:20Speaker 2: billions and billions of dollars. You would be an idiot
- 18:22Speaker 2: if you're a Mexican drug lord not to vote for
- 18:24Speaker 2: Kamala Harris. But if you're not for just about everyone else,
- 18:27Speaker 2: life has gotten a lot worse. That number is staggery,
- 18:31Speaker 2: and one of the consequences of it is Joe Biden
- 18:34Speaker 2: and Kamala Harris have devastated the nation of Mexico. Mexico
- 18:37Speaker 2: is a wonderful nation. In Texas, it is our immediate
- 18:41Speaker 2: southern neighbor. Texas and Mexican culture. There's enormous overlap. I'll
- 18:46Speaker 2: tell you twenty thirty years ago, you go to South Texas,
- 18:49Speaker 2: people would cross the border back and forth. If you
- 18:52Speaker 2: were in Laredo, you'd go down in Nueva Laredo, you'd
- 18:54Speaker 2: have dinner at a Mexican restaurant, you come back and forth.
- 18:57Speaker 2: I mean, there was this this cross border culture that
- 19:01Speaker 2: was wonderful. Nobody does that anymore, like because the violence,
- 19:06Speaker 2: the cartels, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have made the
- 19:09Speaker 2: drug cartels the most powerful economic force in Mexico, and
- 19:14Speaker 2: they are vicious, utterly amorl criminals. There are I met
- 19:20Speaker 2: with the mayor of a border town in Mexico who
- 19:24Speaker 2: told me in his town alone, there had been more
- 19:27Speaker 2: than three thousand disappearances, just people who disappear who the
- 19:33Speaker 2: cartels kidnap, they murder, and they're found just in pits
- 19:36Speaker 2: of dead bodies. That's what Biden and Harris have done
- 19:40Speaker 2: to Mexico is they have undermined public safety to a level.
- 19:44Speaker 2: They have turned these cartels into superpowers. And it is
- 19:49Speaker 2: tragic what's happening to Mexico, but it's also tragic what's
- 19:52Speaker 2: happening to America.
- 19:54Speaker 1: As before, if you want to hear the rest of
- 19:56Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 19:59Speaker 1: dow the podcas Ask from earlier this week to hear
- 20:01Speaker 1: the entire thing. I want to get back to the
- 20:04Speaker 1: big story number three of the week. You may have missed,
- 20:07Speaker 1: but I want to move to this other issue because
- 20:09Speaker 1: I think it's really important, and it is the breaking
- 20:12Speaker 1: news out of Israel that Israel has killed the October
- 20:16Speaker 1: seventh mastermind It is interesting it took them about a
- 20:21Speaker 1: year to do that. It's something that we in this
- 20:23Speaker 1: country have still not accomplished. Since nine to eleven, the
- 20:27Speaker 1: mastermind of nine to eleven, Khalid Sheik Muhammad, has still
- 20:30Speaker 1: not been executed, even though we have him in our custody.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Many Democrats have tried to give him a plea deal
- 20:36Speaker 1: to save his life, which was a major point that
- 20:39Speaker 1: we talked about. And we're able to at least stop
- 20:41Speaker 1: that deal from taking place because of so many listeners
- 20:45Speaker 1: that were outraged by the decision by the Biden Harris
- 20:49Speaker 1: administration to give him a deal as the mastermind of
- 20:52Speaker 1: nine to eleven. Israel said, yeah, we're not going to
- 20:55Speaker 1: do that. We're not going to do that at all.
- 20:58Speaker 1: In fact, what we're going to do is we're going
- 20:59Speaker 1: to kill the leader of Hamas that planned this attack.
- 21:04Speaker 1: And they did it today and told the world, yeah,
- 21:09Speaker 1: we're not messing around. We're taking out everybody that was
- 21:12Speaker 1: involved in this attack on innocent civilians and those that
- 21:16Speaker 1: took hostages.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Look that that is exactly right. And I will say
- 21:22Speaker 2: this is a very very good day for Israel. It's
- 21:24Speaker 2: a very good day for America. The Hamas leader Sinhoar
- 21:28Speaker 2: hated America, was responsible for American deaths, and it's a
- 21:32Speaker 2: good day for justice. And here I want you to
- 21:37Speaker 2: listen to the coverage when the Israeli foreign minister confirms
- 21:42Speaker 2: that the Hamas leader is dead. Give a listen, does.
- 21:45Speaker 4: A Fox News alert. Reuters is now reporting that Israel's
- 21:48Speaker 4: foreign minister has just confirmed the death of Hamas leader
- 21:54Speaker 4: Yaya Sinhwar. Ya Ya Sinhwar was responsible and the mastermind
- 21:58Speaker 4: between the vicious October seventh attack that was the deadliest
- 22:03Speaker 4: attack on Jews since the Holocaust. And Reuters is reporting
- 22:07Speaker 4: at Israeli conficials who were analyzing his dental records that
- 22:11Speaker 4: he is in fact dead. We go to Trey yankst
- 22:14Speaker 4: and Haifa Israel with more on this developing story. Trade.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah, guys, good afternoon. According to reports, the leader of Hamas,
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yakya Sinoar, is dead. We cannot independently confirm this, and
- 22:26Speaker 3: I'm going to.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Tell you why.
- 22:27Speaker 3: There are two things ongoing at the moment. Israeli officials
- 22:30Speaker 3: are using dental records and they are using DNA to
- 22:34Speaker 3: try to match Jakya Sinoar's DNA to DNA. The Israelis
- 22:38Speaker 3: have in their file the dental records match, but we
- 22:41Speaker 3: are waiting to report until the DNA test comes back.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Just given how high profile this figure is. But again,
- 22:47Speaker 3: according to reports attributed to Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz,
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yakya Sinhwar is dead. This follows in Israeli operation in
- 22:56Speaker 3: southern Gaza today, reportedly in the city of Rafa, Gaza's
- 22:59Speaker 3: third life largest city that sits next to the Egyptian border.
- 23:03Speaker 3: This was not a planned intelligence operation, according to officials,
- 23:06Speaker 3: but rather a ground patrol that intercepted movement in southern Gaza. Ultimately,
- 23:11Speaker 3: Israeli forces reportedly fired on that movement and among the
- 23:15Speaker 3: cell of Hamas militants was the leader, yak Ya Sinoir
- 23:19Speaker 3: now Sinoar is a man who has been at the
- 23:21Speaker 3: top of the Israeli target list since October seventh. He
- 23:24Speaker 3: is one of three masterminds behind the massacre, along with
- 23:28Speaker 3: Mohammed death, a man who was killed in an Israeli
- 23:30Speaker 3: airstrike earlier this year, and Ismael Khania, a man who
- 23:34Speaker 3: was killed in an explosion in the Iranian capital of
- 23:36Speaker 3: Tehran over the summer. So now that this is confirmed,
- 23:40Speaker 3: the three masterminds behind the massacre are dead now. Sinowar
- 23:43Speaker 3: spent twenty two years in an Israeli prison. He was
- 23:46Speaker 3: released back in twenty eleven as part of a prisoner
- 23:48Speaker 3: swap deal for one single Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. Shalit
- 23:53Speaker 3: was exchanged for more than a thousand Palestinian prisoners now.
- 23:56Speaker 3: When Sinoir went back to Gaza, he was appointed to
- 23:59Speaker 3: a defense minister level position among Hamas's Al Klassam Brigades,
- 24:03Speaker 3: the military wing of Hamas, and then ultimately later took
- 24:06Speaker 3: over as the leader of Hamas inside Gaza. The last
- 24:09Speaker 3: time that I saw Sinoir was in twenty twenty one.
- 24:12Speaker 3: The month was May and he was giving a rally
- 24:15Speaker 3: where an infamous photo of him was taken holding a
- 24:17Speaker 3: Palestinian child who was dressed as a member of the
- 24:20Speaker 3: Al Klassan Brigades. Sinwar is someone who has devoted his
- 24:24Speaker 3: life to killing Israelis, despite the fact that the Israelis
- 24:27Speaker 3: actually saved his life during brain surgery on him in
- 24:30Speaker 3: the early two thousands. While he was still in prison,
- 24:33Speaker 3: and following the October seventh massacre, he had been hiding
- 24:36Speaker 3: in the tunnel network beneath Gaza. Some of the Israeli
- 24:38Speaker 3: hostages who were released as part of the November Seas
- 24:41Speaker 3: fire deal back in twenty twenty three reported meeting him
- 24:44Speaker 3: in the tunnels beneath Gaza City.
- 24:47Speaker 4: And so this is.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Significant news and an indication that the Israelis will continue
- 24:51Speaker 3: to pick off the remaining Hamas leaders that exist still
- 24:54Speaker 3: inside Gaza. They have destroyed the battalions within the Gaza Strip,
- 24:58Speaker 3: but the question remains what does this mean for the
- 25:01Speaker 3: remaining Israeli hostages inside Gaza. One hundred and one of
- 25:04Speaker 3: them are there, around half of them are estimated to
- 25:07Speaker 3: be alive. And Israeli sources are texting now they are
- 25:11Speaker 3: talking about this news that is taking place. We do
- 25:13Speaker 3: expect to hear from Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Nettan Yahou
- 25:17Speaker 3: later tonight Israel time. And the Israelis, according to this source,
- 25:21Speaker 3: are in communication with their American counterparts to discuss the
- 25:25Speaker 3: operation that took place today. Again, according to our reporting,
- 25:28Speaker 3: this was not a planned operation, but rather one that
- 25:31Speaker 3: took place after movement was identified inside the Gaza Strip. Again,
- 25:35Speaker 3: the latest information that we have attributable to reports. We
- 25:38Speaker 3: are waiting for DNA evidence is that Jakio Sinoar, the
- 25:41Speaker 3: leader of Hamas, is dead.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Guys, I mean, this is incredible news. And I loved
- 25:47Speaker 1: how steadfast and who has been Yes.
- 25:52Speaker 2: So two observations Number one on yet another issue, Kamala
- 25:58Speaker 2: Harris was wrong. Remember, Kamala Harris has been opposing Israel,
- 26:04Speaker 2: continuing to fight to eliminate Hamas. Harris was explicit urging Israel,
- 26:15Speaker 2: opposing Israel going on the offensive in Rafa, and she
- 26:19Speaker 2: claimed to be an expert. She claimed to know that
- 26:21Speaker 2: nothing could be accomplished, and what happened today proved that wrong.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I want you to listen to a flashback of Kamala
- 26:29Speaker 2: in March of twenty twenty four when she's claiming to
- 26:32Speaker 2: know that going into Rafa is going to be a mistake.
- 26:37Speaker 5: We have been clear in multiple conversations and in every
- 26:42Speaker 5: way that any major military operation in Rafa would be
- 26:49Speaker 5: a huge mistake. Let me tell you something. I have
- 26:52Speaker 5: studied the maps. There's nowhere for those folks to go.
- 26:56Speaker 5: And we're looking at about a million and a half
- 26:58Speaker 5: people in Rafa who are there because they were told
- 27:00Speaker 5: to go there, most of them. And so we've been
- 27:03Speaker 5: very clear that it would be a mistake to move
- 27:07Speaker 5: into Rafa with any type of military operation, a mistake.
- 27:11Speaker 5: But would there be consequences if he does move forward?
- 27:14Speaker 5: But we're going to take it one step at a time.
- 27:16Speaker 5: But we've been very clear in terms of our perspective
- 27:18Speaker 5: on whether or not that should happen.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Are you ruling out that there would be consequences from
- 27:22Speaker 3: the United States?
- 27:24Speaker 5: I am ruling out nothing.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Wow. Well, once again, Kamala Harris was wrong. She was wrong.
- 27:31Speaker 2: She was threatening Israel with consequences. And to be clear,
- 27:35Speaker 2: she and Joe Biden cut off critical weapons to Israel
- 27:39Speaker 2: and have been pressuring and undermining Israel at every stage
- 27:44Speaker 2: since October seventh and long before that. She was categorically wrong.
- 27:48Speaker 2: And I'll tell you the real consequences. The consequences were
- 27:51Speaker 2: for Sinoar And this is the final point that I
- 27:54Speaker 2: want to wrap up the podcast with. You know, it
- 27:57Speaker 2: was twelve years ago that I was elected to the
- 27:58Speaker 2: Senate and when I came into the Senate at the time,
- 28:02Speaker 2: I resolved to be the leading defender of Israel in
- 28:05Speaker 2: the Senate. And I got to tell you a lot
- 28:07Speaker 2: of times people ask me, how on earth did it
- 28:10Speaker 2: come to pass that a Cuban Texan Southern Baptist would
- 28:18Speaker 2: end up the leading defender of Israel in the United
- 28:20Speaker 2: States Senate. And there are a lot of reasons, but
- 28:23Speaker 2: one of the fundamental reasons that I've described this before
- 28:27Speaker 2: is I was a little kid when the nteby Rate happened.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I was I think five years old, and listen, I
- 28:34Speaker 2: didn't understand in detail what happened in the Ntebe raid,
- 28:37Speaker 2: but it made an impression on me as a child.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And my understanding of the ntevy Rate at the time
- 28:43Speaker 2: was the people of Israel were saying, if you take
- 28:47Speaker 2: our citizens hostage, our citizens might die, but you are
- 28:54Speaker 2: going to die. And I got to say, ben as
- 28:57Speaker 2: a five year old, that struck me as a very
- 29:01Speaker 2: techan foreign policy. There was a clarity to that. And
- 29:05Speaker 2: I got to say, the three masterminds of October seventh,
- 29:08Speaker 2: including Sinwar, the head of hamas well, they've gone to
- 29:12Speaker 2: meet their seventy two virgins, and I think they're disappointed
- 29:15Speaker 2: with what they found. And there is an absolute seriousness
- 29:19Speaker 2: with which Benjamin Netanyaho in the Nation of Israel takes
- 29:23Speaker 2: protecting themselves, protecting their citizens, protecting their safety defeating Hamas,
- 29:28Speaker 2: defeating Hezbola, and that is good for America, good for Israel,
- 29:33Speaker 2: good for the world, and cause for celebration.
