- 2:10Speaker 1: time partler, Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, How
- 2:16Speaker 1: amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 1: How good has He been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:27Speaker 1: just sit up, Just let's run a survey. Just look
- 2:30Speaker 1: at your life, where it's at. It might not be
- 2:33Speaker 1: where you wanted to be, but that's probably some decisions
- 2:35Speaker 1: you made. But really, though, in spite of all the
- 2:39Speaker 1: crazy mistakes out have made, I mean, man, I look
- 2:45Speaker 1: back at some of the decisions I didn't came up with,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and and and man, it's it's it's just amazing he
- 2:50Speaker 1: let me live. I mean, it's it's and and and
- 2:53Speaker 1: to exist the way I exist, that's nothing but grace, mercy,
- 2:58Speaker 1: favor all that is. That's what my mama praying for
- 3:00Speaker 1: me when I wasn't praying for myself. It had to
- 3:03Speaker 1: be it, because, man, I can truly tell you I
- 3:06Speaker 1: have made enough mistakes man, stuff you would never even
- 3:10Speaker 1: know about, and recovered from them all you can too,
- 3:17Speaker 1: And I don't care what you've done. Marvin Sapp has
- 3:20Speaker 1: a song out that says he saw the best in
- 3:23Speaker 1: me when everyone else around me could only see the
- 3:27Speaker 1: worst in me. You know that that's an important song
- 3:30Speaker 1: man especially. You know. I want to talk to men
- 3:34Speaker 1: today because man, being a man is so so difficult. Please, no,
- 3:46Speaker 1: it has been my quest ever since I was a
- 3:48Speaker 1: little boy. My father had one ambition, son, I don't
- 3:52Speaker 1: care what you do. Both. When I get through raising you,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you will be a man. That's all I want you
- 3:59Speaker 1: to be. Need ever cared what I did for a living,
- 4:01Speaker 1: and it never made a difference to him. You're going
- 4:04Speaker 1: to be a man. Manhood is difficult. Now, ladies, just
- 4:07Speaker 1: listening to this, I'm not saying womanhood, ain't. I don't
- 4:11Speaker 1: know what it takes to be a woman, so you know,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I'm I'm but I do know exactly what it takes
- 4:16Speaker 1: to be a man. So you know, sometimes when you
- 4:19Speaker 1: talk to people on the radio, you have to preface
- 4:22Speaker 1: things because people are just go he trying to make
- 4:24Speaker 1: it look like womanhood. Ain't. No, That's not what I'm doing.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I'm just talking to men today to explain to them
- 4:30Speaker 1: that damned by their self and struggling trying to figure
- 4:33Speaker 1: this thing out, that you are not alone in your
- 4:36Speaker 1: quest for manhood. That is difficult, even though it's interesting. Yesterday,
- 4:40Speaker 1: the Dating Game guy, he said the reason I didn't
- 4:43Speaker 1: get to say this on the air, but I read
- 4:45Speaker 1: his profile. He said one of the reasons he was
- 4:47Speaker 1: still single because he was trying to find himself as
- 4:50Speaker 1: a man. He was forted too. But I'm I gotta
- 4:54Speaker 1: I go. I gotta tell you, man um manhood is
- 4:58Speaker 1: that kind of difficult, and it become it is even
- 5:00Speaker 1: more compounded if a young boy does not have a
- 5:04Speaker 1: male role model. I've said it a thousand times, I'll
- 5:07Speaker 1: say it again. A young boy without a male role
- 5:11Speaker 1: model is like an explorer without a map Well, I
- 5:15Speaker 1: have a suggestion for everybody that's struggling with manhood and
- 5:18Speaker 1: all of the men out there that are men. This
- 5:21Speaker 1: messages for all of us, and it's for me too.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You know. I was listening to Joyce Myers the other
- 5:26Speaker 1: day and um, she made a statement. She said, sometimes
- 5:31Speaker 1: you gotta do the right thing even when it feels wrong.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You know. One of the difficulties of manhood is pure
- 5:40Speaker 1: pressure and the misguided principles of manhood. See what God
- 5:47Speaker 1: wants us to be as men and what we believe
- 5:51Speaker 1: manhood it is is sometimes two different things. Give you
- 5:55Speaker 1: an example. I wrote this book for women, right and
- 5:58Speaker 1: I was telling them the three ways that a man
- 6:01Speaker 1: shows his love, and I call him three p's. We profess,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we protect, and we provide. Every man who is a man,
- 6:10Speaker 1: that's how he exhibits love. We're not talkie talkie comforting
- 6:15Speaker 1: with our great nurturers. But when it comes down to
- 6:17Speaker 1: to it, what we all want to do, what is
- 6:20Speaker 1: in our day DNA, is to profess our love for
- 6:23Speaker 1: something you as a woman, to protect you as a woman,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and to provide for you as a woman. That's in
- 6:28Speaker 1: our DNA. Now, sometimes that gets messed up. And I'll
- 6:32Speaker 1: give you an example. Sometimes when a boy doesn't have
- 6:36Speaker 1: the proper, real role model in his life, he takes
- 6:39Speaker 1: that principle of love that we all possess in us
- 6:41Speaker 1: every man, the professing part, the protecting and a and
- 6:45Speaker 1: a in the providing part, and we misplay it. That's
- 6:48Speaker 1: why gangs exist. Gangs exist off those three principles. What's
- 6:53Speaker 1: the first thing a gang member do. He professed, He
- 6:56Speaker 1: claimed a hood. That's the first thing you do. That's
- 6:59Speaker 1: my name, neighborhood. I'm duce, tray, I'm triple h, I'm
- 7:03Speaker 1: due de dude, I'm purple, I'm I'm red, I'm blue.
- 7:06Speaker 1: The first thing they do is claim. That's professing. That's
- 7:09Speaker 1: how we show our love. But it's misguided though. Now
- 7:13Speaker 1: we're professing something that ain't even good for us. Your hood,
- 7:16Speaker 1: your game, your click. Now guess what. Now we got
- 7:21Speaker 1: to protect it. So now as a protection part of
- 7:25Speaker 1: our love, here we go. You come down here, we're
- 7:29Speaker 1: gonna do this to you. You go over there, they're
- 7:31Speaker 1: gonna do that to you. You protect your hood. This
- 7:34Speaker 1: is your turf, this is all you got. You ain't
- 7:36Speaker 1: nobody coming down here with blue owned. Can anybody come
- 7:38Speaker 1: over here with red on? You can't come over here
- 7:40Speaker 1: with purple on. You can't come over here with black
- 7:41Speaker 1: and gold on. And we and we protect that because
- 7:45Speaker 1: that's in our DNA. And then what's the third thing
- 7:48Speaker 1: we provide? So guess what the game need money? Guess
- 7:51Speaker 1: what we do. We're selling drugs, We're selling women, we're
- 7:56Speaker 1: selling guns. It go back to the same thing. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I don't know how God gave it to me that
- 8:02Speaker 1: way when I was writing a book, but he showed
- 8:04Speaker 1: it to me along the way. That's how men love well.
- 8:06Speaker 1: When you don't have a role model in your life.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Guess what not that love is misplaced, its misguided, It's
- 8:12Speaker 1: off track. Ain't no man told you that. Really you're
- 8:15Speaker 1: supposed to take this love and give it to a woman.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:21Speaker 1: not your gang set. Now you're professing your hood, repping
- 8:25Speaker 1: a color, you're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by
- 8:29Speaker 1: coming over you on your street. And then you provide.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Now you are here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:33Speaker 1: same thing. When a boy does not have a male
- 8:36Speaker 1: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The reason I'm saying is today is cause fellas, this
- 8:45Speaker 1: is what I'm saying. Core tripping yourself out, man and
- 8:49Speaker 1: find out the type of man God wants you to be.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Here's the deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:55Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:59Speaker 1: in him. That's why I's in your DNA to profess,
- 9:02Speaker 1: protect and provide, because guess what, that's what God do
- 9:06Speaker 1: for us, because we his children. God provides for us,
- 9:11Speaker 1: He protects us, and he professes his love for us.
- 9:15Speaker 1: He claims us, he died on the cross for us.
- 9:18Speaker 1: He done all that for us. I'm just talking to
- 9:21Speaker 1: me and right now, you don't want to be in
- 9:23Speaker 1: your house when the when the cop knocking on the dope.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You want to be laying the PC when my doorbell
- 9:28Speaker 1: rang and go answer because ain't no police coming over here,
- 9:31Speaker 1: cause I ain't done nothing for them to come. You
- 9:33Speaker 1: can't go to your dough like that when you got
- 9:35Speaker 1: weed in the back, you got crack in the back,
- 9:37Speaker 1: you got cocaine in the back. You can't go answering
- 9:40Speaker 1: your dough. You hear that, you gotta start flushing tarlets
- 9:45Speaker 1: and stuff. Man, that's crazy. I'm just telling you, man,
- 9:47Speaker 1: I had to wake up about five years ago. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: wasn't doing what God wanted me to do, and then
- 9:54Speaker 1: he shook me. He said, Man, I'm gonna bring about
- 9:56Speaker 1: some changes in your life. I'm gonna call some things
- 9:59Speaker 1: to happen that's gonna put you in a position. And
- 10:01Speaker 1: this time you're gonna listen to me, because if you don't,
- 10:05Speaker 1: you're gonna keep living in this pain you've been in.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But you put yourself in this pain. I owe no
- 10:10Speaker 1: blame to no one else but myself. Please know. I
- 10:13Speaker 1: know that. And that's how we really get to manhood.
- 10:16Speaker 1: When you figure out what you hadn't done wrong. You
- 10:18Speaker 1: can't blame this on none of your ex is because
- 10:20Speaker 1: you're a man. You can't go my ex dear this. No, No,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you're a man. Partner. You gotta take responsibility for yours
- 10:28Speaker 1: and yours alone. If you got kids, you got to
- 10:31Speaker 1: get to him some kind of way. Write him a letter,
- 10:34Speaker 1: send them the money. If she won't let you see it,
- 10:36Speaker 1: for the money, whatever, send the money to a mama.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Do what you're supposed to do as a man. Do
- 10:42Speaker 1: what God wants you to do man, because he's not
- 10:45Speaker 1: letting us off the hook for what we're supposed to
- 10:48Speaker 1: be just because you ain't doing it, and if you
- 10:50Speaker 1: do it, you turn your life around. Just holding that
- 10:53Speaker 1: the fellas today that saw sorry about that. You're listening,
- 11:00Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people from all around
- 11:04Speaker 1: the world. Man, have your attention please, This is unequivocaly

- 12:08Speaker 1: the masses into tainment? I das it sounds like someone
- 12:13Speaker 1: we're going to do it in a way that no
- 12:16Speaker 1: one has ever done it. They we have laughed, love
- 12:22Speaker 1: of the Charon. What widow. Hell, I can't say what
- 12:29Speaker 1: I really want and don't play it down. I've chosen
- 12:36Speaker 1: not to. Houston's in the World Series against the big
- 12:49Speaker 1: city Houston because of the hurricane lifts the people's spirits there.
- 12:56Speaker 1: That's the thing that's stros dedicated the game to the
- 13:02Speaker 1: city of Houston, Hurricane Harvey, what the city went through
- 13:05Speaker 1: with the terra of the storm. Yeah, they're still trying.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And the second time in history that they've ever been
- 13:14Speaker 1: in the World Series. Right, I don't even know the
- 13:16Speaker 1: first one. What was the first one? Believe what she said? Stuff,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I don't know what she read, what's on the news,
- 13:29Speaker 1: watching the news. That is only the second time they wanted,
- 13:34Speaker 1: isn't that correct? Let me say something else that'll get
- 13:38Speaker 1: you you turned upside down. I'm happy for the Dodgers. No,
- 13:43Speaker 1: it's not the Dodgers, the dogs. Dogs. I mean for them,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I really am. I was sad though that the Cubs didn't. Now,
- 13:54Speaker 1: you gotta say it right, the dog like just just going.
- 14:02Speaker 1: These are the women that sounds like that Cleveland. So whatever.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The Indians, it was a few years ago, right, last
- 14:13Speaker 1: year they were we haven't against the coup. So let's
- 14:20Speaker 1: see you got the Indians and the Browns, so you're

- 14:32Speaker 1: two after the hour, something funny, and we'll just talk
- 14:35Speaker 1: about the weekend weekend review. We'll be back at thirty
- 14:39Speaker 1: two after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:44Speaker 1: All right, here we are before we get to something funny.
- 14:48Speaker 1: This might be funny in and of itself. What we
- 14:51Speaker 1: did over the weekend. We talked about the Dodgers I
- 14:54Speaker 1: keep telling you, and the Astros going to the World
- 14:58Speaker 1: Series One. To want to know what I did over
- 15:02Speaker 1: the weekend, I worked as new Yeah yeah, this Sunday,
- 15:13Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, man. But let me tell you something. I
- 15:17Speaker 1: got some little big shots coming on TV. Good boy.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I got a boy that's the record holder for blowing bubbles. Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 1: this boy right here, man, I wanted to be him
- 15:29Speaker 1: so bad. Little Felix to sleep, No, no, no, he
- 15:36Speaker 1: got some hoops and everything, but he don't need nothing.
- 15:39Speaker 1: He knows how to dip his hands in the solution
- 15:42Speaker 1: and just blow bubbles with his head. Oh this boy,
- 15:45Speaker 1: he was doing shapes. This little dude, this, this little dude,
- 15:48Speaker 1: incredible nine what nine cold? You ain't never seen the
- 15:54Speaker 1: like cold? Like different shapes and just regular around bubbles,
- 15:59Speaker 1: bubbles side of bubbles, and somewhere there's a little boy
- 16:03Speaker 1: stop boring bubble and do a damn thing and made
- 16:07Speaker 1: a career at it. As a ten year old girl
- 16:13Speaker 1: over here singing Michael Jackson's I'll be there, Oh yeah,
- 16:19Speaker 1: really did she tell your whole mouth out? This little girl?
- 16:24Speaker 1: So Angelica? This little girl was Lord and mercy. She
- 16:29Speaker 1: was strong. Well, I'm glad. Doesn't really doesn't make you
- 16:34Speaker 1: check what you were doing it, tim when you see
- 16:36Speaker 1: these kid The one, the only one I had anything
- 16:39Speaker 1: in common with was my favorite kid, boy named Mason
- 16:44Speaker 1: out of Strewsbury, West Virginia. Yeah, this little boy was
- 16:49Speaker 1: the only gardener we've ever had on little big shots.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And he knew it. He was a gardener and he
- 16:55Speaker 1: was six. Yeah, this little dude man was funny as
- 17:01Speaker 1: he knows. He knows what he's doing. You six, what
- 17:06Speaker 1: was he doing? I know, we have to watch it
- 17:09Speaker 1: when the outtake was when they was trying to give
- 17:13Speaker 1: Steve trouble about what the stands of that little boy said,
- 17:16Speaker 1: this is Mr harvest show six. He knew who show below.
- 17:26Speaker 1: He was both ofs from West Virginia, and I knew,
- 17:30Speaker 1: and I had to translate everything he said to the audience,
- 17:34Speaker 1: because this little boy was cutting. We got right back
- 17:38Speaker 1: and big catfish. Didn't votes come down there, and they
- 17:41Speaker 1: ain't got no right here. They got right right around.
- 17:44Speaker 1: They nickt read in and then they got big white,
- 17:47Speaker 1: white black wines nick them. People were looking at that
- 17:52Speaker 1: little boy, and I had to tell him. They had
- 17:53Speaker 1: the river out back, and they got big catfish in it.
- 17:56Speaker 1: But the turkey voters can eat the catfish if they
- 17:59Speaker 1: come up to the sir, if it's close enough. But
- 18:01Speaker 1: they ain't got white heads. They just got a white
- 18:03Speaker 1: ring around. Didn't there red head and white deep? But
- 18:07Speaker 1: they got big black wood. Wow, this little boy has
- 18:11Speaker 1: some information about the country. I was loving his I
- 18:16Speaker 1: was loving his boy. His prices, Yeah, his price was
- 18:21Speaker 1: too high. He made but a hundred dollars when all
- 18:24Speaker 1: the vegetables he grow he made. I said, man, your
- 18:26Speaker 1: prices too, So how much is cards? Fifteen dollars of playing?
- 18:32Speaker 1: I ain't man at him. I said, how much it
- 18:34Speaker 1: a red cabbage? Six dollars? I said, oh, you're trying
- 18:38Speaker 1: to open a whole food. That was I said, this
- 18:48Speaker 1: food is sick. This for sat Mr Harvey, don't worry
- 18:52Speaker 1: about it. You got right for six years old right there,
- 18:58Speaker 1: All these little boys out and he was my favorite. Dude.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Turn some carta somethings. Yeah, any people need to come
- 19:07Speaker 1: to America, get a garden. She he didn't think Hollywood
- 19:13Speaker 1: was a part of a mary. Y'all need to leaves
- 19:19Speaker 1: here and come out to American get a guarden. But
- 19:24Speaker 1: serious though, and maditive. While I was dying there, I've
- 19:30Speaker 1: been working. That was cool. Yeah. They say Generation Z,
- 19:35Speaker 1: these kids in Generation Z after the millennials, have the
- 19:38Speaker 1: mindset of entrepreneurs. That's what they think. What it is
- 19:45Speaker 1: is you know what. Half the kids that come on
- 19:47Speaker 1: the show say that they learned what they do off YouTube. Yes,
- 19:51Speaker 1: oh yeah, that's a little girl named Macy. That's I
- 19:55Speaker 1: think she's eleven. You know, some brothers was out the
- 20:00Speaker 1: Vaga strip a breakdancer, you know, trying to earn money
- 20:05Speaker 1: and where nobody putting no money in there. So the
- 20:08Speaker 1: little girl, she was out there to get on the
- 20:10Speaker 1: show Dancing Moms or something, Dance Mom. She was on
- 20:17Speaker 1: there and get on the show. So she had a
- 20:19Speaker 1: little out they do. She want to take it off.
- 20:20Speaker 1: So her and the mom was walking down the strip.
- 20:23Speaker 1: She saw the dancers and they wasn't making no money.
- 20:26Speaker 1: They started feeling a little girl, the little guy out
- 20:29Speaker 1: there that helped the brothers raise the money and wore
- 20:31Speaker 1: them out. She could really dance something, just a little girl.
- 20:35Speaker 1: She gotta move. You ain't ever seen it that The
- 20:40Speaker 1: girl scared me? What you did? That she can do
- 20:43Speaker 1: all those hip hop tricks and all that, she didn't move,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I've never seen. Yeah, it's definitely a weight limit of
- 20:53Speaker 1: what she was doing because both of my it's a
- 20:59Speaker 1: way eating limit to what she Wow, you do that
- 21:03Speaker 1: if you want to that them as your wrist snapping. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 1: so you don't work. It was great weekend. I'm grateful,
- 21:12Speaker 1: grateful I got work. You know, I ain't looking for work.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm grateful. So yeah, up today feeling good about it.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You sure ain't looking for work. Don't get another man.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You probably have another show in the morning. It's on Tuesday,
- 21:32Speaker 1: and then we got another job. Okay whatever. I don't
- 21:35Speaker 1: know about y'all. He can get another one. That's what

- 24:55Speaker 1: run with the wilder beast. We can go down to
- 24:57Speaker 1: the wilder beast, which is the new strip clue to
- 25:00Speaker 1: improve our manhood down all right, I'm moving along. Sister

- 25:35Speaker 1: I think what the problem is. And I noticed your

- 27:05Speaker 1: Were speaking in her car. She could just listen to

- 28:03Speaker 1: we've got it's a hood element. We don't have a
- 28:08Speaker 1: haunted house. We just had brother Ernest pull up and
- 28:12Speaker 1: you pay to get in the haunted car, and surely
- 28:17Speaker 1: you get in the back seat. He turned around. It's
- 28:19Speaker 1: scared the hell out and its people been coming back
- 28:24Speaker 1: this four years in the row for some people, so
- 28:26Speaker 1: they've never been that scared. He's a hide all right,

- 29:32Speaker 1: The Hallelujah Helper's Praise Dance Team has been asked to
- 29:35Speaker 1: come down. The Hallelujah Helper's Praise Dance Team they've been
- 29:39Speaker 1: asked to come dance at Crafflo Dallars Church. He's sending

- 30:06Speaker 1: That's right, the Dodgers Game one of the World Series
- 30:10Speaker 1: is tomorrow in Los Angeles. All right, And did you
- 30:13Speaker 1: guys see all five living former US presidents? Yeah, it
- 30:18Speaker 1: was really really nice to see that. They attended a
- 30:21Speaker 1: concert Saturday night at Texas, A and M. They were
- 30:24Speaker 1: raising money for relief efforts from hurricane devastation in Texas, Florida,
- 30:28Speaker 1: Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Island. Former President Obama,
- 30:32Speaker 1: former President George W. Bush, George H. W. Bush, President Carter,
- 30:38Speaker 1: and President Clinton they were all there. That was a
- 30:41Speaker 1: lot of power in one place, and they looked good.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I mean, what a picture, what a snapshot that was? Yeah? Yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 1: and and right now you miss any one of them, absolutely, Steve,
- 30:52Speaker 1: this is what President now that right now, that's what
- 30:57Speaker 1: it looks like. Former President George W. Bush and former
- 31:00Speaker 1: President Obama each appeared at public events and both addressed
- 31:04Speaker 1: the divisive nature of politics these days. Here is President
- 31:08Speaker 1: Obama talking about division. If you have to win a
- 31:11Speaker 1: campaign by dividing people, you're not gonna be able to
- 31:14Speaker 1: govern them. You won't be able to unite them later.
- 31:19Speaker 1: If that's how you start, great, great man, you can't
- 31:24Speaker 1: do it. Okay. Uh. Neither of former presidents mentioned President
- 31:28Speaker 1: Trump by name. We all knew he was talking about.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Given the climate of today's politics, we all knew, okay,
- 31:38Speaker 1: clearly that he was talking about the current Best shade
- 31:42Speaker 1: is when you don't mention a person's name. We all knew.
- 31:47Speaker 1: We all know that, all right. It seems crazy to
- 31:53Speaker 1: see former President Bush and Obama on the same day
- 31:57Speaker 1: last week speaking about the same thing, devices in the country,
- 32:01Speaker 1: the state of politics in Washington. That was rare. Yeah,
- 32:06Speaker 1: and that's what happens when you elect a non politician. Yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: you know, it's um I think you know, but I
- 32:13Speaker 1: tell you once again, and I'm just gonna say this,
- 32:17Speaker 1: I just keep getting stunned. Now. The whole thing with
- 32:20Speaker 1: the Democratic congresswoman. Yeah, Now, she told the honest truth
- 32:27Speaker 1: and then she told the honest truth. The way they're
- 32:30Speaker 1: trying to cover it is appalling. I wasn't surprised. I mean,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you can't expect him to get that right. I mean,
- 32:39Speaker 1: you just can't. You can't expect him to get that right.
- 32:43Speaker 1: He's not that type of guy. He's just not that
- 32:47Speaker 1: type of guy. And that woman was correct. And even
- 32:53Speaker 1: Kelly when he came out, I was surprised at him
- 32:56Speaker 1: that he took a political shot at her two with
- 32:59Speaker 1: what she had said about raising the money for the
- 33:01Speaker 1: building down there, and then they played her whole speech
- 33:06Speaker 1: and she didn't say in it, she didn't say that. Yeah,
- 33:14Speaker 1: really really a sharp lady, many a doctorate, she was
- 33:18Speaker 1: the prince, she's shot man. She's really really shocked and
- 33:25Speaker 1: sincere and all you had to say because you look,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I'm sorry I was taking that way. I really didn't
- 33:35Speaker 1: intend for it to sound that way. But like you know,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I had a bunch of military men talking about the
- 33:40Speaker 1: statement that he made her. He knew what he signed
- 33:42Speaker 1: up for. And you know, that's great to say amongst
- 33:46Speaker 1: each other as military people. You know what I mean.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That's a statement that one of these generals was saying.
- 33:53Speaker 1: That's a great statement that we say amongst each other.
- 33:56Speaker 1: That's not what you say to console older person. And
- 34:01Speaker 1: to call her empty barrel disrespectful, all of that disrespected her.
- 34:07Speaker 1: She wasn't an empty barrel. The true on behalf of
- 34:14Speaker 1: a family that she has a relationship with. Absolutely. She
- 34:17Speaker 1: and boy was in her mentoring program. Yeah, she's known

- 34:44Speaker 1: Florida this weekend and the twenty five year old Green

- 34:50Speaker 1: service members killed in that Isis ambush two weeks ago
- 34:52Speaker 1: in the year, White House spokesman Gerald General John Kelly
- 34:56Speaker 1: has been defending President Trump as you just heard them
- 34:58Speaker 1: discussing against a criticism he's been getting over the way
- 35:01Speaker 1: the President spoke to the widow of David La David
- 35:05Speaker 1: Johnson saying that quote he knew what he signed up for.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Democratic congs and Frederica Wilson, who says she heard the
- 35:10Speaker 1: conversation of the speaker phone, has been criticized called an
- 35:13Speaker 1: empty battle, which she considers a racist comment, and Kelly's
- 35:16Speaker 1: also accused of bragging to have gotten the funding to
- 35:18Speaker 1: build the FBI building in Florida. Represented Wilson tells CNA
- 35:22Speaker 1: she's taken aback. That's a lie, you know. I feel
- 35:25Speaker 1: sorry for General Kelly. He has my sympathy for the
- 35:28Speaker 1: loss of his son, but he can't just go on
- 35:30Speaker 1: TV and lie on me. I was not even in
- 35:33Speaker 1: Congress in two thousand nine when the money for the
- 35:37Speaker 1: building was secured, so that's a lie. However, I named
- 35:41Speaker 1: the building at the behest of Director came with the
- 35:46Speaker 1: help of Speaker Maner working across party lines, so he
- 35:51Speaker 1: didn't tell the truth, and she named the building in
- 35:54Speaker 1: honor of to former FBI men who were killed. Kelly
- 35:57Speaker 1: sticking to his story even though audio tape backs up
- 36:00Speaker 1: the congresswoman's story not his, and Congin Wilson's demanding an apology.
- 36:03Speaker 1: President Trump says is gonna be releasing thousands of classified
- 36:06Speaker 1: documents relate to the assassination of President Kennedy. The latest
- 36:09Speaker 1: hurricane relief concert this weekend took place at Texas A

- 45:43Speaker 1: starting tomorrow, and just go somewhere and just you know, relax,
- 45:47Speaker 1: you know, play golf. No, no, no, no, I want
- 45:51Speaker 1: him to go for two weeks. And it's not for him,
- 45:55Speaker 1: it's for us. That's a weekend. Damn. But we need
- 45:59Speaker 1: to break. Ain't you tired of waking up going? What
- 46:02Speaker 1: do you do now exactly. I was exhausted. Don't you
- 46:06Speaker 1: wake up thinking when an award you checked the seat
- 46:13Speaker 1: with a whole back and forth with him and the
- 46:15Speaker 1: Congresswoman Wilson and all of that, and how they tried
- 46:18Speaker 1: to just blast her and demonize her. I would I've
- 46:22Speaker 1: never seen the White House nitpick most stuff. They pick fights,
- 46:30Speaker 1: many fights that they think they can prove a point with.
- 46:34Speaker 1: And then to call this woman an empty barrel, which
- 46:37Speaker 1: she wasn't. Well, you know that's to play on the
- 46:42Speaker 1: hats and stuff, the wacky. You know, they try to
- 46:45Speaker 1: do that. It's a real slick thing that people do.
- 46:49Speaker 1: You know, the cowboy hats right now, they're gonna go
- 46:52Speaker 1: whacky to just try to defuse it, and uh, we
- 46:58Speaker 1: just credit. That's all we're gonna do. And that hair
- 47:02Speaker 1: is way more white. Get in that hat you need
- 47:06Speaker 1: you need you need to. How about that would make you?
- 47:19Speaker 1: I gotta prank for you. That's right here is called
- 47:21Speaker 1: your doors, Your doors, Your doors, Your doors. Hello, Hello,
- 47:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach a Mr. Paul, Please call Virginia Senior,
- 47:33Speaker 1: probably senior. Okay, this is how are you doing that?
- 47:35Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm good. Listen my name is Mark. I'm
- 47:37Speaker 1: actually calling from a company called Doors. Are you are
- 47:41Speaker 1: you a good court? Yes? Correct? You guys just built
- 47:44Speaker 1: that home, right, Yeah, I'm like I said, my name
- 47:47Speaker 1: is Mark Stevens. I'm actually calling from Doors. We're actually
- 47:51Speaker 1: the company that uh supplied the doors that are actually
- 47:54Speaker 1: throughout your house. Okay, great, what are you calling from?
- 47:57Speaker 1: A follow up? No, this isn't a follow up. Actual,
- 48:00Speaker 1: we got a couple of glitches we want to try
- 48:01Speaker 1: and get get straighten out if we could find Uh, well,
- 48:04Speaker 1: here's here's the problem, sir. The problem we're having is
- 48:07Speaker 1: at the contractor that actually built you all's home has
- 48:12Speaker 1: not paid for the doors. You guys have been there
- 48:15Speaker 1: two and a half months and uh we we can't
- 48:18Speaker 1: seem to get the contractor to come in and pay
- 48:20Speaker 1: for the doors. Try to call it. We tried to
- 48:23Speaker 1: call him several times and we have not been able
- 48:26Speaker 1: to get the yav on him. Because you have a
- 48:28Speaker 1: good number, to give you a number, because uh, I
- 48:31Speaker 1: really don't have anything to do with that. It's like
- 48:34Speaker 1: to get my number. Well, actually we had your number
- 48:36Speaker 1: of files as the homeowner and that's pretty much how
- 48:38Speaker 1: we had you. But the problem we're facing here, sir,
- 48:41Speaker 1: is we tried to get this guy for the last
- 48:43Speaker 1: couple of months and we can't get him. So, actually,
- 48:47Speaker 1: what's what's gonna happen here in the next day or
- 48:49Speaker 1: so is we're probably gonna have to come and get
- 48:51Speaker 1: all the doors. Always what We're probably gonna have to
- 48:55Speaker 1: come and get all the doors in your house, take
- 48:58Speaker 1: them off and bring them back here to the plant
- 49:00Speaker 1: until we get get out my doors. We're gonna have
- 49:03Speaker 1: to get those doors until either we get a contractor
- 49:07Speaker 1: or you know, we get paid for the doors. Now,
- 49:09Speaker 1: what could happen is you could pay for the doors. No, no, no,
- 49:11Speaker 1: already paid for the doors. That's that's that's past tense.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I've done that paid you saint. Paying that means I
- 49:18Speaker 1: got a double back. Well, sir, we haven't been paid,
- 49:20Speaker 1: sir for the doors as well. No, no, no, the
- 49:22Speaker 1: contractor was paid for the doors. That's who pays you. Okay,
- 49:27Speaker 1: And what I'm trying to explain to you, sir, we
- 49:29Speaker 1: haven't been paid at all here at doors, not at all.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Oh okay, well at doing they should have received a
- 49:38Speaker 1: check from my contract and you, sir, is that that
- 49:42Speaker 1: hasn't been done, since you have not been paid, you're
- 49:44Speaker 1: gonna come back and get my doors out? You said,
- 49:46Speaker 1: we Now, who's all this you do? And who are Like?
- 49:49Speaker 1: Here's the problem here? Like, no, no, there ain't no problems.
- 49:52Speaker 1: We're gonna we're gonna resolve this very peacefully. But who
- 49:55Speaker 1: is we? Okay, So what's taking place here? My job
- 49:58Speaker 1: is they've taken this money out my check that hasn't
- 50:01Speaker 1: been paid for the doors. Oh yes, I can understand that,
- 50:04Speaker 1: but why would they take it out of your check?
- 50:05Speaker 1: You did the man outs you you've done your work,
- 50:08Speaker 1: But I don't understanding, sir. But since the company hasn't
- 50:11Speaker 1: been paid, the company is taking it out on me
- 50:13Speaker 1: and it's not gonna come down on me. So either
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna get the doors, well you need to quit
- 50:17Speaker 1: your job because they're gonna because they need to give
- 50:19Speaker 1: you a not just give you a bonus, but give
- 50:22Speaker 1: you some only work. Because bottom line is you're talking
- 50:25Speaker 1: about company to get my doors. Now that's not gonna happen.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Either we resolve this peacefully as if you paid for it,
- 50:31Speaker 1: or I come out and get the doors and I'm
- 50:33Speaker 1: not finish city and go back. You need to go
- 50:35Speaker 1: in and come get these doors. Gas up and come
- 50:38Speaker 1: get these door because you're not gonna come and get this.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I'm not gonna send you no money, okay, sir. Then
- 50:42Speaker 1: then then what we need to do is get a
- 50:44Speaker 1: schedule time where I can come out and get all
- 50:45Speaker 1: the doors on your time. I'm sorry, I'm on your
- 50:48Speaker 1: time now, so you got you must be paying me.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Not since I'm on your time, what are you talking about?
- 50:53Speaker 1: Because you're talking about you're gonna set up a time
- 50:56Speaker 1: with me. That means I have to leave and do
- 50:57Speaker 1: what I do to be met you here to get
- 51:00Speaker 1: that don't belong to you, which is my door, so
- 51:01Speaker 1: you don't have to be there at all, because I'm
- 51:03Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna come in and take the front door off,
- 51:06Speaker 1: and I'm gonna keep keep moving through the house and
- 51:08Speaker 1: get all the doors and get them back here to
- 51:10Speaker 1: the player. I don't think you hear yourself. Now, First
- 51:12Speaker 1: and foremost, how you when you come to the front door,
- 51:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna be without waiting on you as you as
- 51:16Speaker 1: you taking off la, I'm gonna be on your behind
- 51:19Speaker 1: making sure you realize you're gonna have to take this
- 51:21Speaker 1: dough or take this and I'm taking I'm for the
- 51:24Speaker 1: show from coming to you need get that first door
- 51:27Speaker 1: so I can't keep going back and forth with you.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Let me say this to you. I'm coming to get
- 51:30Speaker 1: them doors, even if I got to take a because
- 51:33Speaker 1: I got to get my money back from the company
- 51:35Speaker 1: that they took from me, because you damn contractor did
- 51:38Speaker 1: not pay for the damn doors. Hey e matter, Hey,
- 51:40Speaker 1: bring you your turns down when you talk to me,
- 51:42Speaker 1: you're talking to girl. Man, I'm gonna I'm gonna pet
- 51:45Speaker 1: this on you. I'm not gonna allowing you to come
- 51:47Speaker 1: to my hearts and take these damn doors and you
- 51:49Speaker 1: ain't coming to getting no money. I'm coming to get
- 51:52Speaker 1: them doors that I'm coming to get them today. I
- 51:54Speaker 1: need every long what time you're coming to want to
- 51:57Speaker 1: be repaid when you come back with these doors, I
- 52:00Speaker 1: make so clean. What tid you coming? Don't don't worry
- 52:03Speaker 1: about when I'm coming. You don't know what I'm there.
- 52:04Speaker 1: When I take the first dough off the heads every door,
- 52:08Speaker 1: We're gonna meet at that door and that and tell
- 52:10Speaker 1: you what I'm gonna pay you. I'm playing dollar wipp
- 52:14Speaker 1: Now take that check and they kiss that inside whooping
- 52:17Speaker 1: a night. I'm gonna take that hopping if that's what
- 52:19Speaker 1: they take. But I gotta take this door. You want
- 52:21Speaker 1: to get my money, I mean, next time, get your
- 52:24Speaker 1: damn money stop, get a jaw to pay you better
- 52:27Speaker 1: for this. Women, you're gonna get it in fed well,
- 52:29Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I'm not gonna keep going back and
- 52:31Speaker 1: forth with you about you whooping by any more that
- 52:34Speaker 1: in the end, right here, take this and take it
- 52:37Speaker 1: on hand. Take but I'm bringing them doing to every
- 52:40Speaker 1: door that you should have been calling a contract healing
- 52:46Speaker 1: doing some though from from my damn come, don't tell
- 52:49Speaker 1: you what you need to be calling him. He got
- 52:51Speaker 1: some I'm going to get it every dough you got
- 52:53Speaker 1: in that? How may that? I tell you what? You
- 52:55Speaker 1: know what I do? I just want do you go
- 52:57Speaker 1: to work just coming to get them those joor I
- 53:02Speaker 1: would wait a second now, I just told you you
- 53:04Speaker 1: ain't coming to getting the doors. I just got to
- 53:07Speaker 1: telling you that, Junior, get it from your mama. I'm
- 53:12Speaker 1: doing and you know what else I'm coming to do
- 53:14Speaker 1: what I'm coming to tell you who I am? You
- 53:17Speaker 1: do you know who I am? You know I know
- 53:19Speaker 1: who you are. I'm make sure, I just lose myself.
- 53:23Speaker 1: You aren't come get it. I can't get these doors there?
- 53:28Speaker 1: That man, ain't that ain't really who I am? Who
- 53:31Speaker 1: are you I am? Nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 53:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got prank phone called by your wife, Faye.
- 53:42Speaker 1: That's that's why she was raining down. You don't getting
- 53:45Speaker 1: what I'm your down sails? Oh brother, you got me.
- 53:49Speaker 1: You know I'm on the upper typical negro. I got
- 53:51Speaker 1: one the red door. You know who you e do
- 53:53Speaker 1: the red doors? You're doing something? Hey, man, I gotta
- 53:57Speaker 1: ask you, man, Paul, what is what? As bad as it?
- 54:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about the bad as radio show in the
- 54:03Speaker 1: land show brain number now his movement, so I'm thinking
- 54:14Speaker 1: they're looking forward. But good, all right, thank you, nephew.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Get ready for today's Strawberry Letter. It's a good one
- 54:23Speaker 1: that's coming up in about four minutes after the hour
- 54:25Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Strawberry Letter
- 54:29Speaker 1: is up next. But first, it is not surprising that
- 54:32Speaker 1: Kevin Hart would invite fans to laugh at his pain
- 54:35Speaker 1: and use his recent sex tape scandal as material, but
- 54:39Speaker 1: apparently it did not sit well with attorney Lisa Bloom
- 54:42Speaker 1: and her client Monteya's sabag Uh in case you missed it,
- 54:47Speaker 1: keV makes fun of himself for getting caught up in
- 54:49Speaker 1: irresponsible situations, as he calls it like having an alleged
- 54:53Speaker 1: sex tape with Montella and a promo clip for his
- 54:56Speaker 1: upcoming irresponsible comedy tour. Lisa and her client and Phil
- 55:00Speaker 1: Kevin is being very disrespectful using the scandal as jokes. Now,
- 55:05Speaker 1: according to Lisa, Mantilla has been dealing with social media hacks,
- 55:10Speaker 1: death threats, and slut shaming since the news broke. She
- 55:14Speaker 1: also said this is taking a toll on her client
- 55:16Speaker 1: mentally and physically, and now with this tour, it's like
- 55:20Speaker 1: this whole thing was a joke. Okay, no shade, But
- 55:23Speaker 1: isn't that a risk when you're involved with the comedian
- 55:25Speaker 1: you may end up as his joke. And don't you
- 55:30Speaker 1: for that to be a claim? What wa wa woo
- 55:33Speaker 1: woo woo woo. Did not you know he was married?
- 55:40Speaker 1: Where all of a sudden is disrespect and respect and
- 55:45Speaker 1: distaste for what for that coming to play for you
- 55:47Speaker 1: a right now because a minute ago there was no
- 55:50Speaker 1: respect considered on your side. So I don't really see that.
- 55:55Speaker 1: But what this man has donned, though, is he's taking
- 55:59Speaker 1: it and he just said, okay, cool. So that's what
- 56:01Speaker 1: we're talking about. All right, let's talk about it. But
- 56:05Speaker 1: but you're gonna talk about it. From my standpoint, I
- 56:08Speaker 1: look at it like this. I mean, Kevin right has
- 56:11Speaker 1: the right to do whatever jokes he wants to do.
- 56:13Speaker 1: But if she says I'll feel hurt, we can't sit
- 56:16Speaker 1: here and say, well, that shouldn't bother you. So if
- 56:19Speaker 1: if it bothers her, then it bothers her, that's all.
- 56:23Speaker 1: That's that's the job. But but she has the right
- 56:27Speaker 1: but feel that way. Okay, she didn't think that Kevin's
- 56:31Speaker 1: wife would feel some kind of way. That can't come.
- 56:36Speaker 1: This is why we gotta have side class. We gotta
- 56:40Speaker 1: have to. We need to take it a step further.
- 56:43Speaker 1: We need a university. It's called spume. We can't tell
- 56:52Speaker 1: you the professors, then you're gonna block them. No, I
- 56:58Speaker 1: don't have anything to do with this, but I thank
- 57:00Speaker 1: you all to call it a spud and get yourself
- 57:07Speaker 1: a side peace university. Did three? Thank you, And when
- 57:12Speaker 1: you show your paperwork, we work what you did a
- 57:18Speaker 1: side piece. That's the school, exactly what you are gonna be.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I I'm going that far man the side and shot
- 57:46Speaker 1: up and hurting up next maybe week, next week. Day.
- 57:55Speaker 1: We let you know what's on the together. Please can
- 58:01Speaker 1: we go to the letter right now? I cannot, She
- 58:09Speaker 1: cannot talk about she feels disrespected, very damn hurtful. I'm sorry,
- 58:20Speaker 1: take yourself out the miserable part, because you bought all
- 58:24Speaker 1: of it on yourself. That's what we do when we
- 58:27Speaker 1: get into trouble, we bring it on ourselves all stop.
- 58:32Speaker 1: We gotta go to the letter God. Here it is
- 58:40Speaker 1: subject sexless in the city. Dear Mr Harvey and the
- 58:45Speaker 1: wake Up Crew. Every morning I wake up and listen
- 58:48Speaker 1: to your morning wake up show. I'm a college student
- 58:51Speaker 1: attending Spellman and on the drive all of you make
- 58:54Speaker 1: me laugh. However, the question I'm posing to you is
- 58:57Speaker 1: more of a serious nature. I'm a twenty year old
- 59:00Speaker 1: virgin trying to live a Christian walk. Being a virgin
- 59:03Speaker 1: doesn't make me perfect. I know that virtue and virginity
- 59:07Speaker 1: are separate entities, but lately, I and many girls in
- 59:11Speaker 1: my position, both non virgins and virgins alike, are losing hope.
- 59:15Speaker 1: And waiting on God. The pool of qualified bachelors who
- 59:19Speaker 1: are abstaining for God before they meet you is in
- 59:23Speaker 1: short supply, especially in the a u C, the Atlanta
- 59:28Speaker 1: University Center UM, and daily it becomes harder and harder
- 59:34Speaker 1: to tell fine, educated, articulate and sweet men no, simply
- 59:38Speaker 1: because they are not of Kingdom standard. It's not difficult
- 59:41Speaker 1: for me to tell pseudo gangsters at Morehouse or Clark No, No,
- 59:45Speaker 1: gangsters don't go to college, stop playing. But it's harder.
- 59:49Speaker 1: But it's harder to tell men in the church active
- 59:52Speaker 1: in ministry, sometimes in leadership positions, educated, fine, and kind. No,
- 59:58Speaker 1: men in the church are just as actually active as
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: men outside the church if upstaining men are just as
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: hard to find in the church as in the world.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Where does a woman go? I have my father in
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: my life and was raised with a save sex mentality
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: and not a safe sex mentality. My father is a
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: good man, loves me and adores me. I love the
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: way he loves me, and that uh created a standard
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: in my life of how other men should love me.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I'm worth the weight, but now I'm twenty. I'm a
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: twenty year old never been kissed version virgin, and I've
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: grown weary in well doing? Am I stupid to believe
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: that if I'm patient that God will send me a
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: kind of staining kingdom? Man? As a father, what would
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: you tell your daughter? She's talking to you right there,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Steve a sexless spellmanite, and she signed her name. You
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: know what to this? I says a lot in this,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: dear sexless Spellmanite. I know you know, I can't help
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: but think, and it's it's painful, but you gotta tell
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: the truth. I can't help but think to you, sexless
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Pelma knighte that you are aware a lot of young
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: ladies are at your tender age. Uh. You know you're
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: probably thinking you're legal now you're grown. You want to,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: you know, taste, so to speak, all that life has
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: to offer. You've done all the right things so far.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: You've gone to the right schools, you've had a great upbringing, etcetera.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: And you're wondering what's up? You know, what do you
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: have to do to get a good man? Um? What's
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: taking so long? UM? I gotta tell you that the
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: walk of a Christian is a hard one because temptation
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: is everywhere. Uh, you know, and in this world. It
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: encourages just the opposite of what God wants us to do. Okay,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: like fornication, which is what this letter is about. Um,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: because you know almost everyone is doing it. So you
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and your Christian beliefs seem wrong or ridiculous or or
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: too old fashioned to the world, and yes, even to
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the people in the church. Um. But I just really
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: want to encourage you to stay the course and hang
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: in there to do it God's way. You've heard the saying, Um,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: you know, don't get a head of God. Um. He
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: may not come when you want him, but he's always
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: on time. So just keep that in mind, and he
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: will bless you over and above anything you could have
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: ever dreamed of. Till after. We'll have part two of
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three after the hour
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: get into part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter. H.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: This letter is a common letter. It was a situation
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I was faced with in college, and that this young
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: girl is asking me this as a twenty year old
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: girl who goes to spellman, who is a virgin, who
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: is a Christian, and he's asking me what she's raised
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: great parents, but he's asking me what would I say
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to my daughters. Well, this is a tough position to
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: be in, and it's a tough position to be in,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: young lady, because of the whirlwind. It's tough for everybody
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: to do right. It's tough for the twenty year old
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: in college, the thirteen year old in junior high. It's
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: tough for the five year old that then graduated from college.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: It's tough for the thirty to forty to fifty to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: sixty year old to do right. What you are trying
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: to do is to do right. You are trying to
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: live the perfect Christian life. Now, let me tell you this.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: The answer Shirley gave you was one correct and everything
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: she says. And I see you trying to live this
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: perfect Christian life. You're uh, you're thinking that you're losing
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: hope and waiting on God because the pool of qualified
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: bachelors who are abstaining for God before they meet you
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: is in short supply. That's a true statement. Most dudes
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: ain't abstaining from sex before marriage, even at the church.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: As you have so found out that the leadership men
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: at the church and the young ministries are having sex too. Um.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: What I was say to my daughters is this, You
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: try to live the absolute best life you can and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you make decisions based on you and your future first,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: not a guy's future, and not what he wants first,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: but what you want. And you try to live a
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Christian life. But here's the reality of it. No one
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: is perfect. What I want, what I would say to
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: my daughter is get this in your head. Is that
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: if you make a mistake, if you fall off the wagon,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: get back up and get on it. You know, try
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: not to make your mistakes. Have it for me, But
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: you are going to make mistakes. Um. I would love
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: to tell you to abstain until you're married at all costs.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: That's what I'd love to tell you. Now, can you
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: do that? That's entirely up to you. Or will you
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: find a mate who can do that. That'll be entirely
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: up to the two of you. But there are young
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: men out there who will at least make an attempt
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: at this with you if they have the right ending
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: in mind. Now, will you are, from time to time
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: make a mistake? Uh? You might, you just made very well,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: But you just gotta remember that no matter what happens.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: No matter what happens, keep your relationship with God intact.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: You know, don't let the fact that you've made a
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: mistake make you think that you're no longer a Christian,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: because guess what, Christians make mistakes, all of them, all
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: of them, all of us make mistakes. If you make
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: a mistake, don't stop being a Christian cause you've made
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: a mistake. Try to better yourself. Try to put yourself
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: in a different position. Try to stay out of the
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: positions that will get you hot and heavy. You just
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: try to stay out as many positions as you can. Now,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: you're gonna get at them. Know, I'm gonna be sitting
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: there watching the movie on the couch. Don't get the
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: kissing real hard. I'm talking about your hellin fraction in
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: your tooth, blood vessels, in your gonna bus, gonna have
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: a little cavallet veins and your jaws. You're gonna have
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: your tongue all back down, flipping that little dan Don
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: thing in the back of some boy mouth. He gonna
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: be back down. Your euvl. You gonna be on here,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: y'are gonna be euvl in each other to down, gonna
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: talk about baby well and no, that's coming. No, now
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: you know he's come on, Tommy uncle, we're trying to
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: keep your girl on the straight and arrow. Let's keep off,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: get it out there. So why y'all uval in each other?
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: And you you you're vult me too much? You wish
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: youth vuling me? Why are you uvl in each other?
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Then he lean on you and you lean on him.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: The next thing, you know, Kelly on in the background. Man,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I don't see nothing wrong with a little bumping grind
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: when you got to start pulling up and got to
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: try to get yourself back on track. If you don't,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: it's gonna go further than that, and you'll be all
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: tracked for the moment. But if you fall off track
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: for the moment, just get back alright, Steve, we gotta go.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: You can email us or instagram us your thoughts on

- 1:07:43Speaker 1: and entertainment news, Lupete and Nungo has become the latest
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: actress to accuse movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment. Yeah,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: change man, Yeah, She says. She met Weinstein by in
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: two thousand eleven, when she was still a student at
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: Yale School of Drama. At an award ceremony. Several months later,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: he invited her to his home to a private screening
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: of a film. According to Nyungo, Weinstein interrupted the film
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: and asked her to join him in his bedroom. He
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: offered to give her a massage. Lepitta, panicked, refused and
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: instead offered to give him one. Uh. The Oscar winning
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: actress turned down another advance from him after he threatened
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: to ruin her career. When was he working? Needless to
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: say yes. She went on to starring twelve years later,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: and when the Academy award, Yeah, yeah, this is horrible.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: It is this guy. Yeah, this guy. It's going to
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: be like a big trial. I think, some big, heavy
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: investigating many. Yeah, Tommy, what's up as Harvey's number? Pass
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Bill Cosby number? Yet? Oh? Harvey Weinstein? Can I say
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: a bit bills counting? You know here off the bed?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: It was terrible. You got what you gotta look at
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: it called you gotta compare it. They've both done it,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: did the same thing. You gotta find anyway you did
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: fresh off? Can I can I just say though, that
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I do applaud the women who have stepped up and
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: the men too. They have been some men who have
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: stepped up because I know that had to be hard.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: They have to be brave to tell this, you know, especially, Yeah,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: just very much so, because this is this is difficult
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: coming up at forty one after the hour. Insults you
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: can use when you get into an argument. You got
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: plenty of. I'm sure you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Morning Show. Game one of the World Series is tomorrow.

- 1:10:04Speaker 1: can use an argument. The main thing about having an
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: argument is to just switch it into any direction you
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: wanted to go, no matter what the argument is about.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Just say something that don't have nothing to do with
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: the damn argument, now you know what I mean? You know,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: like you arguing somebody, you just throw it out there. Well,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: if you had some black friends, just wouldn't happen to you.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: You see what I'm saying that ain't got nothing to
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: do what you got me and you want to and
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: you gotta say when you know you lose the dog

- 1:11:10Speaker 1: about a white daddy. Yeah that one I thought one
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: out ain't got nothing to do with it. Damn if
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: you know so much? How come you got nine told
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: they got to defend that. I got talked about the NATO.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: You're having to say somewhere with you my last feet,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: that's how you thought out there, like weren't even arguing
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: about that. You go all right, face it. Your oldest
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: child is stupid, accepted accepted fact. But you'll be losing
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: the art. You're losing the argument. And I even know
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: the argum saying you know what, you know what I
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: wasn't gonna say this, go ahead and said, apparently you
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: real fall. This is the time you to know right now, Oh,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: when you're losing, you just gotta come out of you.

- 1:18:35Speaker 1: You can only play one song. If that was the case,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: then they probably have to be hero because that was

- 1:18:59Speaker 1: the last thing you liked on social media? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: I'm not really, I'm not shot with my life game.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: I'm like Pike. I'm just I'm a little ridiculous with
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that because I really because I'm not a politician, bro, Like,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: I'm not running for office, is what it is. But
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: I gotta like it. Men do like but um, I
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: don't even want to tell you what I remember actually

- 1:19:43Speaker 1: his body, washed his eyes out, and kind of rehabilitating him.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: And now he's great. He's like his head grew back,

- 1:20:59Speaker 1: him about that, hey, man, because I talked with him
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: about it when it happened. You know, well, well this summer,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: you know, and at the time, you know, we're still
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: and you know, well kind of in court, so you
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: couldn't he couldn't say, yeah, yeah, you couldn't just say
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: what you want to just say mm hmm, well you did.

- 1:21:24Speaker 1: him have it, yea. Let me tell you something, man.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: He stayed against it. He he don't say, but what
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: ticked me? All? Would he give my house? Though? Yeah,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: that's how you break the habit of people breaking in
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: people's house. I'm talking about how to talk to you, going,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: how are you feeling, Steve? I mean, you're star studied
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: on the show. Yeah, you know, you know, we're constantly
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: trying to find the right mix because there's some things
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I still want to do, what you know, I mean,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: you know, I still got to do some human interest
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: stories still, do you know I can't just forsake that.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: And then I'm trying to find tweet the dating element,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: you know, helping women find love. So I'm still trying
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: to tweet that look at you, you know, to find
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: the right way to do it, you know, because I'm
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: not really convinced that I found it with the tender
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: one dating. I like it because it's quick. Why don't
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: you know, why don't you do um, Hollywood like Hollywood
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: actresses and and stuff. You say you want to help women?
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I mean, because there are a lot of single, beautiful
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: Hollywood actresses and you're in Hollywood now, you Hollywood boy. Well,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: I mean, you know that's that's a harder thing to

- 1:22:58Speaker 1: Well you guys, J and Junior, how's it going. I
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: love it, just a great job. I just don't like
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: the part of him trying to put people together. I'm
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: really not for that. You're totally again because I can't

- 1:28:04Speaker 1: I turned mine in the meal. I put him on
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: the plate. I had a little nice and s now.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: You know what, Steve, you have to give it out.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: It has to be individually wrapped. You can't give candy
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: out like that. We don't want We'll be back. You're
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We gotta say
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: congratulations to the Houston Astros. Congratulations, and to the Los
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Angeles Dodgers. That's right, the Dodgers Game one of the
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: World Series is tomorrow in Los Angeles. Alright, and did
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: you guys see all five living former US presidents? Yeah,
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: it was really really nice to see that. They attended
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: a concert Saturday night at Texas A and M. They
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: were raising money for relief efforts from hurricane devastation in Texas, Florida,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Island. Former President Obama
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: for President George W. Bush, George H. W. Bush, President Carter,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: and President Clinton. They were all there. That was a
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: lot of power in one place, and they looked good.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: I mean, what a picture, what a snapshot that was. Yeah,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: and right now you miss any one of them, absolutely, Steve,
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: this is what president now that right now, that's what
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: it looks like. Former President George W. Bush and former
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: President Obama each appeared at public events and both addressed
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: the divisive nature of politics these days. Here is President
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: Obama talking about division. If you have to win a
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: campaign by dividing people, you're not gonna be able to
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: govern them. You won't be able to unite them later.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: If that's how you start, you can't do it. Neither
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: a former presidents mentioned President Trump by name. We all
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: knew he was talking about given the climate of today's politics,
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: we all knew, okay clearly, that he was talking about
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: the current best shade is when you don't mention the
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: person's name. We all knew. We all know that, man alright,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: was crazy to see former President Bush and Obama on
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: the same day last week speaking about the same thing,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: divisiveness in the country. I just keep getting stunned. Now
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: the whole thing with the Democratic congresswoman. Yeah, now she
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: told the honest truth, and she told the honest truth
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: the way they're trying to cover his appalled. I wasn't surprised.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: I mean, you can't expect him to get that right.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: I mean, you just can't. You can't expect him to
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: get that right. He's not that type of guy. He's
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: just not that type of guy. And that woman was correct,
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: and even Kelly when he came out, I was surprised
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: at him that he took a political shot at a
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: two with what she had said about raising the money
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: for the building down there, and then they played her
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: whole speech and she didn't say an it, she didn't
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: say that she's shot man. She's really really shocked and
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: sincere and all you had to say, because you look,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry it was taking that way. I really didn't
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: intend for it to sound that way. But like you know,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: I had a bunch of military men talking about the
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: statement that he made or he knew what he signed
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: up for, and you know, that's great to say amongst
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: each other as military people, you know what I mean,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: that's a statement that one of these generals was saying,
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: that's a great statement that we say amongst each other.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: That's not what you say to console a person. And
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: to call her empty barrel disrespectful, I'm all of that
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: disrespected her. She wasn't an empty barrel on behalf of
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: a family that she has a relationship with. Absolutely, she
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: Boar was in her mentoring program. Yeah, she's known and
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: the family for quite a long time. You're listening to
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: the Steve Show. Here we go, last break of the day.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Just one more thing. Backyard chickens are causing a spike
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: in infections. Uh these days, it isn't uncommon for some
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: folks to raise chickens in their backyard. And while the
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: idea of fresh eggs in the morning, that babe, that
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: sounds real good, right, Well it happens, um, it appears
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: that there's a huge downside to it all. Apparently the
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: increase and popularity of raising backyard chickens as also increased
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: the amount of people suffering from poultry related diseases, some
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: of which can be fatal. Wow. Yeah, from eating chicken.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: Yeah the thing you missed so much, just missed chicken
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: so much. You're vegan now, right, You're a vegan all
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: the way now, Joe, He just don't eat me so
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: much way. He just had a hash brown. I don't
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: eat chicken, but I mentioned, do you have that far
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: away look in your eyes? Yeah? I like the depression
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: des it's called. Yeah, it really is. He really misses it.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: So you're never gonna eat chicken again? Jack? When you gonna,
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: I tell you, I might eat live. You see a
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: chicken with hot sous on his back. I tried to
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: get him. I tried to get him. Wow. Okay. According
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: to the CDC, the Center for Disease Control, more than
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: people have gotten salmonella salmonella poisoning from chicken and ducks
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: this year, with two and fifty people hospitalized. What du Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: This is not going to change how we feel about
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: Chicken's very low number. Not enough. This is not gonna
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: change how black people feel about chicken. This is very
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: low number. It's not enough to change our mind. A
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: matter fact, Shirley, I was walking to the restaurant. It
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: was a group of us. He's walking over here to
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: go to the restaurant, and they had some chickens in
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: the back. You should have heard them chicken screaming. They
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: saw all these black people walk to your damn right,
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: we're coming. You know, there's ain't fried right, I'd be nervous. Chicken,
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: I saw a group of black people coming, I try
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: at least barking, throw it up off a little bit.
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: You know, there's um have you got? I know you
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: heard about it or maybe seen this movie called What
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: the hell? Yes, you know what. Everybody's telling me to
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: watch that. They said, Steve, if you watch that, you'll
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: never eat me to gain. Yeah, that's that's what. No,
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: I haven't seen it. I have not seen it. I
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: saw the other one, the one that was before that
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: one about the chickens and what they do to the
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: chickens and all of that. You still eat chicken for
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: a little while, Yeah, you did for a little while. Yeah.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: Why did your chicken cross the roope to get away
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: from blackly? Yeah? But a lot of people feel that way.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: Would you say, Tom terrible scream so loud it was
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: seven chicken there just losing their mind. You know the
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: day y'all bring that chicken in, you know, when you
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: bring from your your clients. I'm so sad that hurts me.
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: From churches. You can't know. I see it. I wanted
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: so bad, so I know to eat it in front
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: of you know here, double fisted on you. Alright, Jake.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: If you hear about me running away with somebody, I
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: ran away with a chicken. It just sounds like it's
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: your girlfriend or something. You need a chicken, huh. That
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: would be nice time in a chicken patch. I like that. Man.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: You put it on your every hour. You could have
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: burst your chicken flavor in your system. I'm working on that.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: I'm working on that fried bake. Oh, my dad love it,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: just loved. Mother, the chicken, onions and gravy. Yes, the

- 1:37:25Speaker 1: on it. It's just like fried skin and bone. Yeah,
