- 0:00Speaker 1: There is a real feeling here that there are two
- 0:03Speaker 1: candidates and they are so similar. And I'm going to
- 0:07Speaker 1: set the room for you just so you kind of
- 0:09Speaker 1: know Sepack. If you don't know what Seapack is, it
- 0:12Speaker 1: is the premier conservative gathering every year. It is traditionally
- 0:19Speaker 1: been done in washing DC, which is where we are
- 0:21Speaker 1: right now, and the presidency comes through Seapack. If you're
- 0:27Speaker 1: running for president, this is where you show up. There
- 0:30Speaker 1: are some people that don't show up on purpose because
- 0:32Speaker 1: they don't want to lose a straw pole. That's been
- 0:34Speaker 1: a strategy in the past. Donald Trump is speaking here
- 0:38Speaker 1: on Sunday now. Governor DeSantis, who has spoken at Seapack
- 0:43Speaker 1: several years in a row, is an individual that is
- 0:48Speaker 1: I don't think here And the reason why some people
- 0:53Speaker 1: are saying is because he's running for president and he
- 0:56Speaker 1: doesn't want to lose a straw pole. To Donald Trump
- 0:59Speaker 1: on Sunday. The straw pole where you report on by
- 1:02Speaker 1: the media. If you do well in that straw poll,
- 1:04Speaker 1: people feel like you have the base behind you, and
- 1:07Speaker 1: it's an interesting strategy to see, you know, do you
- 1:12Speaker 1: show up, do you not show up? I think this
- 1:14Speaker 1: is going to be a very small field. My gut
- 1:18Speaker 1: is right now, this is a two man race. The
- 1:22Speaker 1: two men are De Santis and Donald Trump. That is
- 1:28Speaker 1: the feeling from people that are very well connected to
- 1:32Speaker 1: both camps. And I feel very confident in telling you
- 1:37Speaker 1: this audience early on that Governor De Santis is running
- 1:42Speaker 1: for president United States of America. He's doing all of
- 1:47Speaker 1: the things that you do when you're thinking about running
- 1:49Speaker 1: for president of the United States of America. He is
- 1:53Speaker 1: trying to figure out this donor base. There's also a
- 1:56Speaker 1: competing Conservative event this weekend which is more of the establishment.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I would call it the Jeb Bush wing of the party.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It is called Club for Growth. They are having a
- 2:07Speaker 1: fundraiser retreat for the big people to come in and speak.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Everyone that's wanting to run for president will be there.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They go in. It's a very small, intimate group of
- 2:21Speaker 1: high wealth individuals and they basically look at the candidates.
- 2:26Speaker 1: All of those thinking about coming and running. Nicki Haley,
- 2:29Speaker 1: all of them show up. Some of those that have
- 2:31Speaker 1: been mentioned are people are talking about also show up
- 2:35Speaker 1: as well, and they kind of decide, all right, where's
- 2:38Speaker 1: the money going to go. A lot of them don't
- 2:40Speaker 1: like wasting their money by going toe to toe with
- 2:44Speaker 1: a friend and or colleagues in their business. And one
- 2:48Speaker 1: of the things that they do is they sit there,
- 2:50Speaker 1: they look, and then they A lot of these donors
- 2:52Speaker 1: will sit down at dinner afterwards, or breakfast or lunch
- 2:55Speaker 1: before they leave, and they will coalesce their funds around
- 2:59Speaker 1: a candidate. So you think about this weekend and and
- 3:04Speaker 1: from here until Sunday, this will probably go down in
- 3:08Speaker 1: history as the most important three days four days for
- 3:13Speaker 1: the entire GOP Republican field. Having Club for Growth on
- 3:18Speaker 1: the same weekend. They did that on purpose. They are
- 3:21Speaker 1: different than Sepack. They look at themselves different than Sepack.
- 3:25Speaker 1: They clearly were trying to undercut s Pack's influence on
- 3:30Speaker 1: the hardcore conservative movement. I think that's pretty obvious, and
- 3:35Speaker 1: this is something that they are trying to distinguish themselves. Now.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Club for Growth is also they are I will say this,
- 3:43Speaker 1: they are more we either want a candidate and we
- 3:47Speaker 1: want to coalesce behind a candidate early. They don't like
- 3:50Speaker 1: primaries that get expensive. They don't want to waste their money.
- 3:52Speaker 1: These individuals do not like to waste, as they would
- 3:56Speaker 1: describe it, their money on fighting it out in a primary,
- 4:01Speaker 1: because then there's then they got to re up everybody
- 4:03Speaker 1: after the general and when we find out who are chosen,
- 4:07Speaker 1: candidate is at Club for Growth there this is a
- 4:10Speaker 1: financial decision making for them. Why you know, how do
- 4:14Speaker 1: we get rid of everybody that we don't like early
- 4:16Speaker 1: on and coalesce behind one person so we have the
- 4:19Speaker 1: money in the general. There are others that believe that
- 4:22Speaker 1: money should not and that mentality should not buy the presidency.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And there are people that look out that way, and
- 4:31Speaker 1: that's how they describe it. That's how they that's what
- 4:33Speaker 1: they believe is that this should not be a mentality
- 4:37Speaker 1: where financials come into Pigny Cannon. Let me give you
- 4:41Speaker 1: a great example of that. Historically, Mitt Romney was the
- 4:46Speaker 1: Club for Growth. Asked candidate, he was a safe pick.
- 4:49Speaker 1: He was a guy that was self you know, financially,
- 4:53Speaker 1: he had plenty of cash. He could influence his own
- 4:55Speaker 1: campaign with financial you know, writing checks to his own campaign.
- 4:59Speaker 1: He had a lot of high net worth donors. He
- 5:02Speaker 1: was connected financially, and he had a base financially. He
- 5:07Speaker 1: did not have a base of voters. And that was
- 5:11Speaker 1: the problem that I had with him when he ran.
- 5:14Speaker 1: He was not a guy that you saw and go, Wow,
- 5:16Speaker 1: this guy's really impressive. He was not a guy that
- 5:19Speaker 1: you looked at and you said, Man, Mitt Romney's somebody
- 5:21Speaker 1: I think can really get a room fired up. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: watched him, you know, fall flat in many speeches that
- 5:26Speaker 1: should have been rock star speeches to a conservative group
- 5:32Speaker 1: of individuals. And we now know who Mitt Romney really is.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But the money chose Mitt Romney. That's how Mitt Romney
- 5:40Speaker 1: got that nomination. You look at Rick Santorum and I
- 5:44Speaker 1: did not go with Romney. I went with Santorm. I
- 5:46Speaker 1: love Rick santorm actually had dinner with him a couple
- 5:49Speaker 1: weeks ago here and wash in DC. We've traveled the
- 5:53Speaker 1: world together, literally gone to Hungary, Budapest to speak at
- 5:55Speaker 1: SEPAC Hungary. And he's an individual who's a true believer,
- 5:59Speaker 1: a true conservative. But the problem was the money had
- 6:03Speaker 1: backed Romney. If that money and they got it wrong,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I want to be clear about that. Okay, they got
- 6:10Speaker 1: it wrong. If that money would have not coalesced behind
- 6:13Speaker 1: Mitt Romney when it went for Mitt Romney. When the
- 6:15Speaker 1: money went to Mitt Romney, that was a disaster for
- 6:18Speaker 1: DeSantis because now you're trying to win an election with
- 6:22Speaker 1: all of the big donors going to the other team,
- 6:25Speaker 1: the quote safe bet if that would have happened, If
- 6:30Speaker 1: that would have happened, okay, if there would have been
- 6:33Speaker 1: a blunt conversation that the donors would have had and
- 6:37Speaker 1: realized they got it wrong, and they would have switched
- 6:39Speaker 1: their support. I think that Santorm would have won that
- 6:42Speaker 1: nomination de Santis and Trump if right now you had
- 6:48Speaker 1: to walk into a polling booth, right now and there
- 6:51Speaker 1: were two names on there, and if you had to
- 6:54Speaker 1: walk in today and there was Trump and DeSantis, who
- 6:57Speaker 1: would you push that button forth? Because it's crazy is
- 7:01Speaker 1: about this and I haven't seen this. I've done several
- 7:04Speaker 1: presidential campaigns. I was Sarahan on the Bush campaign of
- 7:07Speaker 1: four I've done several campaigns since then. Helped with sender
- 7:11Speaker 1: Cruise's campaign obviously in sixteen, helped with Rick Sandtorm's campaign
- 7:17Speaker 1: before that. So I have done the presidential campaign circuit,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and usually there's very distinctive things between candidates. There was
- 7:28Speaker 1: very it was a very easy comparing contrast between Rick Santorum,
- 7:32Speaker 1: for example, in Mitrum, there's a very easy contrast between
- 7:35Speaker 1: Jeb Bush right, the establishment money candidate and Donald Trump.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Things got a little bit closer together obviously when it
- 7:44Speaker 1: was Trump and crews. At the end, there was there
- 7:46Speaker 1: core differences. There were some you know, I think personal
- 7:50Speaker 1: you know, there was some legal differences between them, constitutional differences,
- 7:54Speaker 1: but overall there really wasn't that much. You look, I mean,
- 7:58Speaker 1: and one was a center and one day was in politics,
- 8:00Speaker 1: and there were differences as in, people are like, I
- 8:02Speaker 1: don't know if I trust Donald Trump to be a conservative.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Clearly he ended up being a conservative after he was
- 8:06Speaker 1: a liberal. Think the Lord. He did amazing things. But
- 8:10Speaker 1: you look at right now and if you said to me,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I'll give you a your example, John Stewart. I'm doing
- 8:16Speaker 1: an interview with John Stewart for Comedy Central. And if
- 8:19Speaker 1: they asked me the question, who's got the advantage? I don't. Yes,
- 8:25Speaker 1: John Trump's form present, that's advantage of him. But I'm
- 8:27Speaker 1: talking about on policy. They're virtually the same exact person,
- 8:32Speaker 1: which is crazy. They are so close to one another,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and that's where I don't know, Like I really don't
- 8:41Speaker 1: know which one people like one over the other. So
- 8:44Speaker 1: there's a big fight happening right now. Does the money
- 8:47Speaker 1: pick the candidate or do the activists pick the candidate.
- 8:51Speaker 1: That's kind of the lay of the land here from Sepack.
- 8:54Speaker 1: What's happening right now? Gordon and Jang is with me,
- 8:57Speaker 1: the author of the coming Collapse of China and the
- 8:59Speaker 1: Great US China Tech War. He is a friend of mine.
- 9:03Speaker 1: We get to hang out a couple of times a
- 9:04Speaker 1: year together. Always a pleasure to have you, sir. Thank
- 9:07Speaker 1: you so much. Ben. All Right, we're going rapid fire.
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you accolades. We're gonna give out your
- 9:11Speaker 1: Twitter account the end, so get ready for that. But
- 9:13Speaker 1: this is a guy that's an expert on China. He
- 9:15Speaker 1: knows a hell of a lot about it. I love
- 9:17Speaker 1: getting insight from him. So let's talk about China right now.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I'm going to go through the list quickly. Let's
- 9:23Speaker 1: talk about the captain obvious moment. The fact that COVID
- 9:26Speaker 1: and the US government, now from two different agencies, Partament
- 9:29Speaker 1: of Energy and the FBI, are admitting now that COVID
- 9:32Speaker 1: origins that came from China didn't come from a wet market.
- 9:36Speaker 1: It came from the Wu Hunt Institute of Virology. How
- 9:39Speaker 1: under I mean? I'm not shocked by this. Many called
- 9:43Speaker 1: this three years ago, and if you said it, you
- 9:44Speaker 1: were conspiracy theory. Are you shocked though? How much our
- 9:48Speaker 1: government seems to be protecting China right now, and also
- 9:52Speaker 1: our media is protecting China and the narrative they want
- 9:54Speaker 1: out there. I'm shocked. Biden had five phone or video
- 9:58Speaker 1: conferences with Chinese rulers Gin Ping, and then he had
- 10:01Speaker 1: an in person meeting last November at the G twenty
- 10:04Speaker 1: in Bali. Not once did Biden raise the issues. It
- 10:09Speaker 1: raised the origin of COVID nineteen. That's something that's killed
- 10:12Speaker 1: one million, one hundred and twenty thousand Americans, and Biden
- 10:16Speaker 1: wasn't curious about it. Is that because you believe he's
- 10:20Speaker 1: compromised by China. I go back to the money, I
- 10:22Speaker 1: go back to Hunter Biden. I don't understand why any
- 10:25Speaker 1: American leader wouldn't bring that up unless they're they're compromised,
- 10:28Speaker 1: their family has compromised in the way that their son
- 10:30Speaker 1: is Cefe, etc. I think so, But I also think
- 10:34Speaker 1: there's other reasons. And you know that Biden is stuck
- 10:37Speaker 1: in the forty years past view of China, so that
- 10:40Speaker 1: you know, you try to talk to the Chinese, and
- 10:43Speaker 1: I guess he feels that if he raises the issue
- 10:45Speaker 1: that they're gonna stop talking to him. I don't know
- 10:48Speaker 1: what it is it's, but whatever it has been, it
- 10:50Speaker 1: is wrong. It is strategically wrong. It is morally wrong.
- 10:54Speaker 1: We're talking about Americans who have died from a disease
- 10:56Speaker 1: that should never have left Central China. They didn't protect
- 11:01Speaker 1: the world. I have a theory on that. And they said, basically,
- 11:04Speaker 1: oh crap, this thing's gotten out, and if we're going down,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and they knew how bad it was going to be,
- 11:10Speaker 1: because they knew from the lab, and I'm sure that
- 11:12Speaker 1: people working the lab explained how bad this is going
- 11:14Speaker 1: to be. They basically said, if we're going down, our
- 11:17Speaker 1: economy is going down, and we're gonna go into lockdowns,
- 11:19Speaker 1: and the rest of the world's gonna be the exact
- 11:20Speaker 1: same damn thing we are. So we're still on a
- 11:21Speaker 1: level playing field. Absolutely. For at least three weeks in
- 11:25Speaker 1: January twenty twenty, and maybe even two weeks in December
- 11:28Speaker 1: of twenty nineteen, they lied to the world. They knew
- 11:33Speaker 1: how contagious this was. They told the world it was
- 11:35Speaker 1: not transmissible human to human, and they knew it was,
- 11:39Speaker 1: and they knew it was. They knew at least since
- 11:41Speaker 1: the second week of December of twenty twenty that this
- 11:45Speaker 1: was contagious. They knew or they should have known. And
- 11:48Speaker 1: then we know that in that three or maybe five
- 11:51Speaker 1: week period they were lying to the world, So we
- 11:55Speaker 1: know at least three weeks, probably five. Let's talk about
- 11:58Speaker 1: doctor Fauci, when do you think and he knew how
- 12:01Speaker 1: bad this was because he was so he knew because
- 12:04Speaker 1: he had the tight relationships with Hundansi viroology. We were
- 12:07Speaker 1: sending money there and should we have ever been sending
- 12:10Speaker 1: money there? Absolutely not. Remember, in twenty fourteen, the Obama
- 12:14Speaker 1: administration did something really terrific. They imposed a moratorium on
- 12:17Speaker 1: the funding of gain and function research with federal money
- 12:21Speaker 1: on US soil. They knew it was too dangerous. They
- 12:24Speaker 1: did something that very few governments do. They decided not
- 12:28Speaker 1: to do something they could do. So what did Fauci do?
- 12:31Speaker 1: He outful sourced this to a Chinese biological weapons lab.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So that's literally why we started saying the money is
- 12:37Speaker 1: because you weren't allowed to do it in America. That's right.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And remember there are two scientific papers, both published twenty
- 12:44Speaker 1: sixteen twenty seventeen from researchers at the Wolfan Institute of Virology,
- 12:49Speaker 1: clearly describing gain of function research. Both papers specifically acknowledging
- 12:54Speaker 1: funding from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,
- 12:58Speaker 1: which then Fauci headed, Let's talk about China from a
- 13:02Speaker 1: national security standpoint. Now, these balloons that have been coming
- 13:05Speaker 1: over the fact that we didn't shoot it down and
- 13:10Speaker 1: let it do it complete its mission and then we
- 13:13Speaker 1: shot it down. What does that say about our intelligence apparatus?
- 13:18Speaker 1: And do you believe that they didn't shoot it down
- 13:21Speaker 1: as they claim, Well, we didn't want to fall on people.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Is that a plausible explanation for you in any scenario? No,
- 13:29Speaker 1: Remember the US military tracked this balloon when it took
- 13:33Speaker 1: off a Hainan Island in China, and remember that it
- 13:37Speaker 1: first entered US territorial airspace on January twenty eighth. They
- 13:41Speaker 1: did not in the Pentagon notify Biden until four days later,
- 13:46Speaker 1: on the fourth day of the intrusion. That balloon, during
- 13:49Speaker 1: those four days before notification of the president traveled over
- 13:53Speaker 1: Alaska in the Allusians up to the Alaskan Landmask and
- 13:56Speaker 1: then down through western Canada. They could have shot that
- 13:59Speaker 1: balloon down at any time over uninhabited territory. They told
- 14:04Speaker 1: the President when it entered the lower forty eight States.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I think they could have shot it down over in Montana,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but you know, then they say, Okay, we don't want
- 14:12Speaker 1: it to hit people. Sort of plausible but wrong decision. Nonetheless,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I believe that, well, if I were president, I would
- 14:19Speaker 1: fire both the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of
- 14:22Speaker 1: the Joint Chiefs of Staff for allowing a large Chinese
- 14:25Speaker 1: object to transverse America surveil our sites. And we should
- 14:29Speaker 1: have shot it down as soon as it hit the
- 14:31Speaker 1: twelve mile limit. Off the illusions. Somebody's head has got
- 14:36Speaker 1: to go, and it's not going to I think you
- 14:38Speaker 1: and I both know that as well, right, I mean,
- 14:40Speaker 1: they won't do that, but clearly there needs to be
- 14:42Speaker 1: accountability in the Pentagon because at least for those four
- 14:45Speaker 1: days when this thing was over US territorial airspace, they
- 14:50Speaker 1: didn't do anything. They didn't tell the President, they didn't
- 14:53Speaker 1: shoot it down. Inexplicable, inexcusable. Let's talk about this unnatural
- 14:58Speaker 1: alliance that is now China and Russia being forced into
- 15:02Speaker 1: becoming good friends and allies. It's all under the cover
- 15:06Speaker 1: of obviously the war in Ukraine. China's helping Russia. Russia
- 15:10Speaker 1: is going to help China. We pushed them and forced
- 15:13Speaker 1: them together in an unnatural alliance. How concerned are you
- 15:16Speaker 1: about them teaming up together, not just from possible sharing intelligence,
- 15:20Speaker 1: but also from You've got one of the most powerful
- 15:23Speaker 1: economies in the world, no doubt about it, and teaming
- 15:27Speaker 1: up with a massive nuclear power, which is Russia. Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: they now have a durable relationship. And you know, explain
- 15:36Speaker 1: what you mean by that, because a lot of people
- 15:37Speaker 1: to understand what they didn't have before. Well, right now
- 15:41Speaker 1: China is all in on Russia, and so we can
- 15:43Speaker 1: see this in any number of different ways. But of
- 15:46Speaker 1: course let's talk about Ukraine because you mentioned it. You know,
- 15:49Speaker 1: the Biden administration says that the Chinese are contemplating giving
- 15:53Speaker 1: lethal assistance to Russia. Well, they've been doing that from
- 15:56Speaker 1: the very beginning of this war. Band And you know,
- 16:01Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on in the Biden administration,
- 16:03Speaker 1: but they're obviously not telling the American people the truth.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Now they could say, well, we, for various reasons, don't
- 16:10Speaker 1: want to punish China, but they've got to tell the
- 16:12Speaker 1: American people what they're doing. Now. I believe you've got
- 16:15Speaker 1: to impose costs on China for doing this because it
- 16:18Speaker 1: is crossed what the Biden administration said as a red line.
- 16:21Speaker 1: But what we have is the Biden team they are
- 16:24Speaker 1: not imposing those costs and they are not telling the
- 16:27Speaker 1: truth to the American people. Those are two sins. Last
- 16:31Speaker 1: question for you, because I know you got to run,
- 16:32Speaker 1: but I want to get this one in there. What
- 16:34Speaker 1: are the chances that China goes into Taiwan? And what
- 16:39Speaker 1: is the calculus now? Because America is not going to
- 16:41Speaker 1: stop them, and if America is not going to stop
- 16:44Speaker 1: them and we're not going to get into that war
- 16:46Speaker 1: and many other countries are not going to follow. Is
- 16:49Speaker 1: this really just that they decide they want to be
- 16:51Speaker 1: alienated by the world and have sanctions, because that's what
- 16:53Speaker 1: it is. It's sanctions to that point, right, Yeah, the
- 16:55Speaker 1: Siegeunping is trying to sanction proofs regime. You know, we
- 16:59Speaker 1: don't know what some side is, which is a smart move.
- 17:01Speaker 1: By the way, if you're China, if you're China, if
- 17:03Speaker 1: you're China, it's a brilliant move and sanctioned proofing your
- 17:06Speaker 1: regime means America can act out on us, sanction us
- 17:09Speaker 1: and we're still gonna be humming. Right, we know what
- 17:14Speaker 1: Siejunping is doing, fastest military build up since the Second
- 17:17Speaker 1: World War, sanctioned proofing this regime, mobilizing China's civilians for war,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and in October he picked what is now called the
- 17:25Speaker 1: War Cabinet. This guy wants to go to war. Now
- 17:28Speaker 1: I'm not saying he will, but the point is he's
- 17:31Speaker 1: preparing to and we're not acknowledging what the Chinese are doing. Again,
- 17:34Speaker 1: you've got a Biden administration that says, oh, they won't
- 17:38Speaker 1: even call them an adversary. In the White House, they say, well,
- 17:41Speaker 1: they're competitors. No, they're not competitors. They have talked about
- 17:44Speaker 1: destroying the United States of America. They've been killing Americans
- 17:48Speaker 1: with fentinone COVID nineteen. I won't get two more excited.
- 17:51Speaker 1: But the point is somebody in the White House needs
- 17:54Speaker 1: to get a pulse. Yeah, get out your Twitter drafts
- 17:57Speaker 1: real quick for everybody. They can follow you at Gordon
- 18:00Speaker 1: Chang g O R deal in g N G. Gordon
- 18:05Speaker 1: always a pleasure thank you, sir, Thank you so much. Bett.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I want to pivot to another important issue, and this
- 18:10Speaker 1: is going to affect this election. I want to talk
- 18:12Speaker 1: a little bit more about this in depth with US
- 18:15Speaker 1: Center Marsha Blackburn, who's here at Sea Pack Center. It's
- 18:18Speaker 1: always a pleasure to see you. It is always good
- 18:21Speaker 1: to join you, and I know I'm gonna see you
- 18:22Speaker 1: once a year at Sea Pack. No matter what it's like.
- 18:25Speaker 1: It's a way to check pulses and make everyone still
- 18:27Speaker 1: live like you're alive. You're alive. There is a very
- 18:31Speaker 1: interesting week happening. I'm just gonna pick your brain on
- 18:34Speaker 1: this because I love it, and if you're political, you
- 18:37Speaker 1: love it. You've got Seapack, You've got Club for Growth,
- 18:41Speaker 1: You've got people trying to figure out who the next
- 18:43Speaker 1: Republican leader is gonna be. You have clearly the Santists
- 18:46Speaker 1: lining everything up. How intriguing is this moment from your perspective,
- 18:51Speaker 1: because it does feel like we have some momentum going
- 18:54Speaker 1: into twenty twenty four. That's obviously good for you guys
- 18:56Speaker 1: taking back control of the Senate. I'm sure that has
- 18:58Speaker 1: to interest you just from that ass back alone. Of
- 19:00Speaker 1: course it does, and It has been such an interesting
- 19:04Speaker 1: week when you look at Spike and of course Club
- 19:08Speaker 1: for Growth and how we'll be there with Tennesseeans that
- 19:14Speaker 1: are a part of all of this, and then also
- 19:18Speaker 1: the hearings we've had in DC this week at Commerce Committee.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yesterday we had the hearing on Phil Washington, who wants
- 19:25Speaker 1: to go to the FAA, and tied by the I
- 19:30Speaker 1: honor the service as a command sergeant major that he
- 19:34Speaker 1: has given our country, but he could not answer my
- 19:37Speaker 1: basic questions example I'd play it, but I read you
- 19:41Speaker 1: tell me explain to you yesterday. Yes, And the fact
- 19:45Speaker 1: that he could not tell me that d EI was
- 19:48Speaker 1: going to be uh, something that was lesser in safety
- 19:54Speaker 1: was going to be primary. I mean, this is this
- 19:59Speaker 1: goes back to the mayor p scenario. Right, he's a
- 20:01Speaker 1: nice guy. I actually think he's a nice guy. I
- 20:03Speaker 1: met him a couple of times. He's a nice guy,
- 20:05Speaker 1: totally unqualified to have totally his job in our government.
- 20:09Speaker 1: And translation, this is the worst exact Yeah, this is
- 20:12Speaker 1: the FAA. This is we have had seven near missus
- 20:18Speaker 1: in our skies seven seven and just this week had
- 20:24Speaker 1: won from Nashville to Boston a Jet Blue flight that
- 20:27Speaker 1: nearly collided on landing with a plane that was taking
- 20:31Speaker 1: off at Boston Logan. So people want competence, they want
- 20:36Speaker 1: somebody who's paying attention to details, and it's qualified. Just
- 20:40Speaker 1: to be clear, he has no experience in the sector
- 20:42Speaker 1: at all, none. He's just been at LAX, He's been
- 20:46Speaker 1: at Denver and he had problems and was listed in
- 20:50Speaker 1: lawsuits into each of those. So Goodman probably honorable service
- 20:56Speaker 1: to our country. The other hearing we had yesterday at
- 20:59Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee was with Merrick Garland, and I went after
- 21:03Speaker 1: him about two tiers of justice, two tiers of investigation.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It depends on. If you're a person of faith, pro
- 21:12Speaker 1: life person, conservative values, you get one DOJ. If you're
- 21:17Speaker 1: a liberal elite, politically connected you get another. Per example
- 21:22Speaker 1: is the abortion clinics, the bombs of abortion of pro
- 21:25Speaker 1: life centers not investigated by the DOJ. That was a
- 21:28Speaker 1: big issue yesterday with the Attorney General. How angry are
- 21:31Speaker 1: you knowing that he refused Garland refuses to admit that
- 21:34Speaker 1: there's two different justice ms. If you are a pastor,
- 21:37Speaker 1: for example, or a minister that goes out and praise
- 21:40Speaker 1: and someone pushes your kid, we have like a legit
- 21:43Speaker 1: swat team come into your house to arrest you, even
- 21:45Speaker 1: though he's willing to turn himself in for these assault charges. Meanwhile,
- 21:49Speaker 1: if you go and firebomb a pro life clinic, they
- 21:51Speaker 1: do nothing at the they do nothing. And when I
- 21:54Speaker 1: asked him about that and the clinic in Nashville, the
- 21:57Speaker 1: Hope Clinic, I said, you know, James Revenge Bray painted
- 22:00Speaker 1: their name on the building. James Revenge was here. But
- 22:04Speaker 1: you say you can't find these people. And his answer
- 22:09Speaker 1: was so frivolous. He said, well, crimes that are committed
- 22:11Speaker 1: in the dark, they are harder to find those people,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and people that are out protesting during the day, you
- 22:17Speaker 1: can see their faces and get those pictures and find them.
- 22:20Speaker 1: And I told him, James Revenge is all over social media,
- 22:24Speaker 1: and so my team and I are we're going to
- 22:27Speaker 1: step up and help him and help the FBI find
- 22:31Speaker 1: these people. They are all over social media. Do you
- 22:34Speaker 1: buy that excuse? I mean to me, it's I would
- 22:36Speaker 1: be insulted if I was a member of Congress and
- 22:38Speaker 1: you have a DJ saying basically, we only can really
- 22:41Speaker 1: go after criminals in the daylight, and we can at night.
- 22:45Speaker 1: It was so insulting. And people know that that's not right.
- 22:49Speaker 1: And I also ask him about the document request, because
- 22:53Speaker 1: he gave the Democrats everything they wanted for the January
- 22:58Speaker 1: sixth committee, but he is stonewall Chairman Jordan and the
- 23:02Speaker 1: House Judiciary Committee when they're asking for information about Joe
- 23:08Speaker 1: Biden's classified documents. And he said, well, that's an ongoing investigation.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I said, January six is an ongoing investigation. But you
- 23:20Speaker 1: complied with the request anyway. There again, two different systems,
- 23:24Speaker 1: two different types of investigations, for a very similarly situated event.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Class question, Briana, you gotta go. You mentioned January six
- 23:34Speaker 1: declassification of the documents, all the video being able to
- 23:37Speaker 1: be seen. You think this is a transparency issue obviously,
- 23:41Speaker 1: But there's one question they've not answered yet. How many
- 23:44Speaker 1: FBI agents were there at January six, how many were undercover,
- 23:47Speaker 1: how many may have informated? Ray Apps is a name
- 23:50Speaker 1: that's become more and more famous. They refuse to answer
- 23:53Speaker 1: question about Ray Apps or any other people that were
- 23:55Speaker 1: undercover working on behalf of the federal government, maybe to
- 23:58Speaker 1: even help incite what was going on in that crowd. Well,
- 24:03Speaker 1: this is why Speaker McCarthy has turned over so much
- 24:06Speaker 1: of that video, and it is why House Oversight and
- 24:10Speaker 1: House Judiciary is working on it to get those answers.
- 24:14Speaker 1: It's gonna be interesting to see what comes out of that. Yes,
- 24:16Speaker 1: it's always pleasure to see you. Thank you for coming
- 24:19Speaker 1: on my guests for me. Katy McFarland, former Deputy National
- 24:22Speaker 1: Security Advisor of the United States under Donald Trump. I
- 24:25Speaker 1: love seepack, kat because here is when I get to
- 24:29Speaker 1: meet with a lot of different people that I worked with,
- 24:31Speaker 1: whether it was back in the Bush administration days. It's
- 24:34Speaker 1: it's kind of like a homecoming. And there's a lot
- 24:36Speaker 1: of guys that I talked to and ladies here that
- 24:39Speaker 1: work in National Security, CIA, FBI, you know, Pentagon, and
- 24:45Speaker 1: I asked them every year. It's almost like a check
- 24:47Speaker 1: out of the doctor. All right, how are we on
- 24:49Speaker 1: the world stage this year? Obviously it was a lot
- 24:52Speaker 1: to ask. We were having cigars last night with some
- 24:54Speaker 1: people that I trust and we were chatting about national
- 24:57Speaker 1: security and the issue of War three. There's a a
- 25:00Speaker 1: lot of people are saying we're getting close to World
- 25:02Speaker 1: War three. In your opinion, this conflict between Russia, Ukraine
- 25:08Speaker 1: now all of Europe getting in the present sending these
- 25:10Speaker 1: blank checks to Ukraine. Now the idea of F sixteens
- 25:14Speaker 1: and missile defense systems and everything else. Could this escalate?
- 25:18Speaker 1: And how concern are you about it turning into an
- 25:21Speaker 1: actual war three? And your assessment of Vladimir Putin as well.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I do think for the first time in my adult
- 25:29Speaker 1: life time, certainly since the Cold War, but probably even
- 25:32Speaker 1: going back to the sixties, worth the most dangerous moment.
- 25:35Speaker 1: And here's why we You know, a year ago at
- 25:39Speaker 1: Sepac when Russian invaded Ukraine, Russia thought easy Piec will
- 25:43Speaker 1: be in in three days, the Zoinski government will be toppled,
- 25:46Speaker 1: We'll put a puppet government in, we'll control Ukraine. Didn't happen.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Why Because it turns out the Russian military wasn't that
- 25:54Speaker 1: any good despite their major military build up. It turned
- 25:57Speaker 1: out that the Ukrainian people fought back and turned out
- 26:00Speaker 1: that Europe, which everyone thought had been sort of sleeping
- 26:03Speaker 1: along and no longer armed, no longer worried about a
- 26:06Speaker 1: Russian threat, they actually rose to the occasion, and so
- 26:09Speaker 1: a number of things happened. Now we are a year later,
- 26:12Speaker 1: and what are we in. We're in a frozen conflict.
- 26:15Speaker 1: It's like World War One in the trenches. You know,
- 26:17Speaker 1: the Russians are going to take a little bit, then
- 26:20Speaker 1: Zolensky takes a little bit, then the Chinese contribute, then
- 26:23Speaker 1: we put stuff in, and so it's escalating, but it's
- 26:27Speaker 1: still at a stalemate. I think when you look down
- 26:30Speaker 1: the road, how long is this going to take to
- 26:32Speaker 1: quote win? And what is winning? Yeah? Definition, what is winning?
- 26:36Speaker 1: I mean if you look at President Biden, who says, well,
- 26:39Speaker 1: Putin's got to go. If you look at Zelinsky, who
- 26:42Speaker 1: says unconditional surrender on the part of the Russians, if
- 26:46Speaker 1: you look at Putin who says, I'm not going anywhere,
- 26:48Speaker 1: and I'll do anything I can to stay in power
- 26:51Speaker 1: and to prevail in my objectives. Then add on top
- 26:54Speaker 1: of it the most important factor that nobody talks about,
- 26:57Speaker 1: which is oil and natural gas. Putin could not have invaded.
- 27:01Speaker 1: When you said earlier that Vladimir Putin was kept in
- 27:04Speaker 1: check by Donald Chump, yeah he was kept in check.
- 27:07Speaker 1: But he was also kept broke Russia. If energy prices
- 27:12Speaker 1: are high, Russia, which is a world exporter of oil
- 27:15Speaker 1: and natural gas, they're rich, and what are they doing?
- 27:17Speaker 1: They're rich? For the last fifty years, they build a military,
- 27:20Speaker 1: they invade a neighbor, they have a proxy ward. Under Trump,
- 27:24Speaker 1: they were broke because we had American oil and natural
- 27:27Speaker 1: gas fracking. We pushed and low oil prices per barrel,
- 27:32Speaker 1: lowest oil prices per barrel. Vladimir Putin may have wanted
- 27:36Speaker 1: to invade the Moon. He couldn't afford to do anything
- 27:38Speaker 1: because he didn't have the excess money. Biden comes in
- 27:40Speaker 1: and so we're in America, he starts. So we're in
- 27:42Speaker 1: American fossil fuels. World production goes way, way, way, way way.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Do some pipeline everything that Donald Trump did. They basically said,
- 27:49Speaker 1: undo it when it comes to oil and gas and
- 27:51Speaker 1: resources here. Yeah, so we're going to reduce the world
- 27:55Speaker 1: production of oil and natural gas because we're going to
- 27:57Speaker 1: take America's hands and tied it behind our backs. As
- 28:00Speaker 1: a result, prices go sky high. Vladimir Putin says, why not.
- 28:03Speaker 1: This is my mom and I've got a little extra cash.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Let me go after Ukraine. So here we are now.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Vladimir Putin, despite the sanctions of the Biden administration, despite
- 28:12Speaker 1: all the things they've thrown against the Russian economy right
- 28:15Speaker 1: now is doing better. Than a lot of European economies.
- 28:18Speaker 1: So Russia is not feeling Russia can fight forever as
- 28:22Speaker 1: they have oil prices. Yes, Bingo, as long as oil
- 28:26Speaker 1: prices are up, Russia can fight forever. So I look
- 28:29Speaker 1: at that and say one side once on conditional surrender.
- 28:31Speaker 1: The other guy size says I can fight forever. I
- 28:34Speaker 1: don't have any compunction about destroying Ukraine. I think we're
- 28:38Speaker 1: now increasingly getting to two alternative outcomes of this. One
- 28:42Speaker 1: that Putin again fighting forever all the money in the world,
- 28:45Speaker 1: completely destroys Ukraine, kills every man, woman, child, flattens it.
- 28:50Speaker 1: He has a history of doing that in Czechnia throughout
- 28:53Speaker 1: his career. Yeah, if I rather do that, I can't. Yeah.
- 28:57Speaker 1: This is like a jealous lover right who says, if
- 28:59Speaker 1: if I can't have her, I'm going to shoot them.
- 29:01Speaker 1: And so that's what Putin's objective is. Now. On the
- 29:04Speaker 1: other hand, we have the United States saying unconditional surrender.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Unconditional surrender, where is an alternative here? So on one hand,
- 29:10Speaker 1: you got a guy's willing to flatten the country and
- 29:12Speaker 1: then unconditional surrender as escalation goes on, means of an
- 29:15Speaker 1: involvement of NATO in the United States World War Three.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I don't like either of those options. And what I
- 29:20Speaker 1: learned in the Reagan administration where I earned my spurs,
- 29:23Speaker 1: was you find a third option, and the third option
- 29:26Speaker 1: is your bankrupt Russia. So what you said a second ago,
- 29:30Speaker 1: if you could push those prices of oil back down
- 29:32Speaker 1: to where they were under Trump, Russia's broke. They may
- 29:35Speaker 1: want to fight forever, but they can't fight art. It
- 29:37Speaker 1: can't afford it. They can't even afford They're out of
- 29:40Speaker 1: there in a couple of months. US charge Wilson to
- 29:42Speaker 1: this in Afghanistan with the yes exactly. He basically said,
- 29:45Speaker 1: we we can. We can beat them by giving basic
- 29:50Speaker 1: fighting equipment to the Mujadine, to these guys that were
- 29:55Speaker 1: on camels, and as long as they can just aim
- 29:59Speaker 1: and shoot down the helicopters. If you've never watched the movie,
- 30:02Speaker 1: it's a great movie, Charlie Wilson's War. You should go
- 30:04Speaker 1: watch it. But it was just being smart enough to
- 30:07Speaker 1: realize you could bankrupt Russia. Russia pulled out Afghanistan not
- 30:10Speaker 1: because necessary they were losing it, because they just couldn't
- 30:12Speaker 1: afford it anymore. There are a lot of ways to
- 30:14Speaker 1: win a war. You don't have to fight to win
- 30:17Speaker 1: a war, as we know with the Cold War, we
- 30:18Speaker 1: won it without firing a shot. You win it economically,
- 30:20Speaker 1: which is our strong suit. So a new American president
- 30:23Speaker 1: comes in, stops the war, and fossil fuels energy prices
- 30:26Speaker 1: go back and go back down. Putin's bankrupt, can't continue
- 30:29Speaker 1: to fight. Then he negotiates the solution, and then the
- 30:32Speaker 1: next step, and this is where the important part is.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Ukraine can't win the war. They can win the piece.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Russia can't win the war. They can always lose the piece.
- 30:42Speaker 1: So five years after the war stops, fast forward what happens.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Ukraine is fully integrated into the European economy. Europe is
- 30:50Speaker 1: in NATO, Europe is so it'll be like being Germany
- 30:53Speaker 1: or Poland Nobody Vladimir Putin, even if he had the money,
- 30:56Speaker 1: couldn't invade. On the other hand, worse Vladimir Putin in Russia.
- 31:00Speaker 1: They're broke, they can't do anything, pariah state. Nobody invests
- 31:03Speaker 1: on them. So then you may not have won the
- 31:06Speaker 1: unconditional surrender that the Biden administration wants, but you've got
- 31:10Speaker 1: the outcome you want let's talk about you mentioned run
- 31:13Speaker 1: a Reagan strength through piece without ever firing a shot.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I worry about Vladimir Putin and the changing of his mindset,
- 31:22Speaker 1: and I want to talk about his health for a second.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I may be wrong, and I want your opinion on this,
- 31:26Speaker 1: but my gut is he's starting to understand he's getting older,
- 31:30Speaker 1: he's starting to have some health issues, and he's like,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I want my man's best estimate, my legacy to be
- 31:36Speaker 1: that I put the SSR back together. I don't think
- 31:39Speaker 1: he's rational in this war with Ukraine. If he was,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I think he'd be doing it differently. And I think
- 31:45Speaker 1: he doesn't care if he bankrupts his country. If this
- 31:47Speaker 1: is his legacy, he's taking back and putting pieces of
- 31:50Speaker 1: the pie back together. How much does it concern you
- 31:53Speaker 1: with nuclear weapons with Vildimir Putin? If in fact it
- 31:55Speaker 1: is more of a manifest destiny for him where he's
- 31:58Speaker 1: not trying to hold onto power for twenty more years,
- 32:01Speaker 1: it may be a year or two that he has
- 32:03Speaker 1: left to really do whatever it is he wants to
- 32:05Speaker 1: do for his legacy. Do you think he is at
- 32:09Speaker 1: a point now where he would actually use new grow
- 32:11Speaker 1: eupens because I didn't think he was five years ago,
- 32:13Speaker 1: certainly ten years ago, fifteen or twenty, because he was younger,
- 32:17Speaker 1: he was more he understood like, if I do that,
- 32:20Speaker 1: I'm in deep trouble. Now. I don't know if there's
- 32:23Speaker 1: enough time to hold him accountable and as a human
- 32:26Speaker 1: being if he does go there, are you worried about
- 32:28Speaker 1: nuclear war with him at all? I'm worried that Vladimir Putin,
- 32:32Speaker 1: who does have this manifest destiny has to achieve in
- 32:35Speaker 1: his lifetime, who understands that if he comes home an
- 32:38Speaker 1: unconditional surrender and defeat, as a Biden administration wants, he
- 32:41Speaker 1: does not stay alive. He gets either pushed out of
- 32:44Speaker 1: an officer or a bullet in the head. And for him,
- 32:47Speaker 1: there's absolutely no restraint. There's all bets are off. If
- 32:51Speaker 1: I'm going down, I'm not going down alone. And that
- 32:53Speaker 1: is a worry that I have not had. I've not
- 32:56Speaker 1: had that since the called war, but far the call, Yeah,
- 32:58Speaker 1: my biggest worry was post nine to eleven. Certainly was
- 33:02Speaker 1: a dirty bomb, right, bad actor, And that's what when
- 33:05Speaker 1: we went to the Middle East, that was the argument,
- 33:07Speaker 1: right at a dirty bomb, you know, biological chemical weapons,
- 33:12Speaker 1: nuclear Iran brings me back to Ran for a moment.
- 33:15Speaker 1: We know Iran now is aligned with Russia. Iranian drones
- 33:19Speaker 1: are being used in Russia, and Iran is much much,
- 33:22Speaker 1: much closer than they've been in my entire lifetime to
- 33:25Speaker 1: having their own nuclear weapon, and no one seems to
- 33:27Speaker 1: be covering that in the media. No, it's not the
- 33:30Speaker 1: bright shiny object. The world is falling into two camps
- 33:34Speaker 1: and on one hot set do you have China, Russia, Iran,
- 33:37Speaker 1: North Korea. They have nuclear weapons, they have a lot
- 33:41Speaker 1: of money, they have technology, and they have will. I mean,
- 33:45Speaker 1: they have a concerted effort that what their job is
- 33:48Speaker 1: is to control the world, dominate the world. On the
- 33:50Speaker 1: other hand, we have the United States, we have our
- 33:52Speaker 1: Asian allies, we have our European allies. We don't have
- 33:55Speaker 1: an American leadership who says, okay, here's the plan. The
- 33:58Speaker 1: plan is, let's use what we're really good at technology, economy, trade,
- 34:03Speaker 1: our economic system or political system, or freedoms. And that's
- 34:07Speaker 1: where I really worry. We've got a dangerous time in
- 34:10Speaker 1: the next year and a half until we got a
- 34:12Speaker 1: new American president who, like Reagan, says this is our
- 34:16Speaker 1: time let's bring everybody together and stand up to the
- 34:18Speaker 1: bad guys and fight them on the grounds that we choose,
- 34:22Speaker 1: not on the grounds they want. But nuclear war is
- 34:25Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you know, we used to laugh
- 34:27Speaker 1: about it. Yeah, it was not a reality. Now I
- 34:29Speaker 1: worry Vladimir Putin faced with a bullet in his head
- 34:33Speaker 1: and unconditional surrendered demands of the United States. Do you
- 34:37Speaker 1: remind people the history of Putin? You mentioned it a
- 34:39Speaker 1: moment ago, and now I want to fall up on it.
- 34:41Speaker 1: And then I promised I'm gonna let you go. But
- 34:43Speaker 1: this is you said something you said, Vladimir Putin has
- 34:46Speaker 1: a history of going scorched earth. Literally, if he can't
- 34:50Speaker 1: have it, no one can't. It's inhabitable. No one's gonna
- 34:52Speaker 1: want to live there. I've decimated destroyed it. It's a
- 34:56Speaker 1: non livable condition for rebuilding. Essence, You look at him
- 35:02Speaker 1: now with Ukraine, and if he did go there, and
- 35:04Speaker 1: you did have a nuclear weapon that went off there,
- 35:06Speaker 1: it's uninhabitable. That's a victory for him, even if he
- 35:10Speaker 1: gets isolated. And that is something I don't think he's
- 35:14Speaker 1: afraid of at all, and the Russian people are behind him.
- 35:18Speaker 1: The thing that I find just a joke is that
- 35:20Speaker 1: when they biden administration and people say, well, we'll get
- 35:22Speaker 1: rid of Ladimirputin, everything's gonna be fine. No, it's not.
- 35:25Speaker 1: You probably get somebody worse than Vladimir Putin. And anyway,
- 35:27Speaker 1: he's quite popular in Russia right now. They think he's
- 35:30Speaker 1: doing the right thing. They're all for Ukraine, they're all
- 35:33Speaker 1: for this Ukraine. Weren't having some kind of a victory
- 35:35Speaker 1: in Ukraine. What Vladim Reputin came to power so a
- 35:38Speaker 1: little bit. I've studied him for forty years. He came
- 35:41Speaker 1: to power so that he was in the KGB the
- 35:43Speaker 1: Soviet Union collapse. He thought it was the greatest tragedy
- 35:46Speaker 1: in the twentieth century that the Soviet Union collapsed. He
- 35:49Speaker 1: has spent his entire political career after he left the
- 35:52Speaker 1: KGIB rebuilding Mother Russia. He thinks, this is the final
- 35:56Speaker 1: jewel in the crown. This's got in Ukraine. The way
- 35:58Speaker 1: he actually got into the residency twenty years ago was
- 36:02Speaker 1: that Afghan that Russia had a war in Chechnia, the
- 36:06Speaker 1: terrorists war breakaway province of Chechnia, and nobody could seem
- 36:09Speaker 1: to win it. The political leadership at the time. That
- 36:12Speaker 1: was it just they weren't winning it. There were bombs everywhere.
- 36:14Speaker 1: And so Vladimir Putin's strong man. He comes to power
- 36:17Speaker 1: by saying I'll solve it. And he did. And what
- 36:20Speaker 1: he did in the little country of Chechnia was he
- 36:23Speaker 1: killed everybody here was I mean, it was brutal, the
- 36:28Speaker 1: inhumane type of war. There was no rules of engagement,
- 36:31Speaker 1: there were they targeted civilian targets. And in the capital
- 36:35Speaker 1: of Chechia, Grosni that it was said that there were
- 36:39Speaker 1: not two bricks left on top of each other because
- 36:42Speaker 1: he leveled the entire city. It was he turned it
- 36:44Speaker 1: to rubble. Then everyone said, Vladimir Putin, he's a strong man.
- 36:48Speaker 1: We need to pull Russia back into greatness. He knows
- 36:51Speaker 1: the template. He knows. If he doesn't win in Ukraine,
- 36:54Speaker 1: there's some other guy who's gonna say, I'm gonna make
- 36:57Speaker 1: of Ukraine what we made of Chechenia. So I think
- 37:01Speaker 1: Vladimir Putin knows how to do it. He knows he
- 37:03Speaker 1: war always seems to consolidate power for leaders in Russia.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Russians like strong leaders. If you look through it, if
- 37:12Speaker 1: we're out their history for five hundred years, the Russians
- 37:15Speaker 1: only got rid of people, only got rid of leaders
- 37:17Speaker 1: if they had a bad economy and they were weak abroad.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Now Putin is looking weak abroad, his economy is doing better.
- 37:25Speaker 1: He cannot afford to be weak abroad and survive. Last
- 37:28Speaker 1: question for you, what keeps you up at night? And
- 37:31Speaker 1: I say that with me telling you what keeps me
- 37:33Speaker 1: up at night? And I want to get your thoughts.
- 37:36Speaker 1: I worry that we're so focused now on Russia Ukraine
- 37:39Speaker 1: and all of our military efforts, all of our mind
- 37:43Speaker 1: is going to this conflict, all of our aids going
- 37:45Speaker 1: this conflict. And what keeps me up at night now
- 37:48Speaker 1: is al Qaeda and NISUS and a nuclear rand. Because
- 37:53Speaker 1: we have an open border, we have a lot of
- 37:55Speaker 1: military age men coming across that border. I was down
- 37:57Speaker 1: at the border when we caught men coming in from Turkey.
- 38:01Speaker 1: They were released to a Catholic charity after we witnessed
- 38:05Speaker 1: them coming into America, and two of them, after they
- 38:09Speaker 1: were being interrogated by Texas Department of Transit transtation, we
- 38:13Speaker 1: called it, are you know the guys that basically aren't
- 38:16Speaker 1: the border of guards. The borders said let them go
- 38:20Speaker 1: and then we called department you know Texas, and said hey,
- 38:23Speaker 1: they came and got them, took them to Catholic charities.
- 38:26Speaker 1: They interrogated him, found out that two of the guys
- 38:28Speaker 1: were airline pilots from Turkey. They dropped all their papers
- 38:33Speaker 1: at the borders. They got a clean slate, right, a
- 38:35Speaker 1: fresh start, so you can't deport them right back to Turkey.
- 38:37Speaker 1: We knew they were from Turkey because of the language,
- 38:40Speaker 1: and we found out that two of them were actual
- 38:42Speaker 1: commercial pilots. They taken the Catholic charity. They dropped all
- 38:47Speaker 1: their papers of the border. They're now in America, right now,
- 38:50Speaker 1: they're in this country. I am terrified that this open
- 38:53Speaker 1: border is allowing for another nine eleven to be planned
- 38:57Speaker 1: by someone in the world. And I'm terrified all so
- 39:00Speaker 1: of a ran because we're not focusing on those two issues,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and we're out of Afghanistan, and I think intelligence wise,
- 39:06Speaker 1: we said we're gonna leave it, and we're gonna literally
- 39:08Speaker 1: leave it. We don't want to intel. We're done with Afghanistan.
- 39:12Speaker 1: You guys play there. That's what keeps up at night?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Is that the right or wrong thing to keep me
- 39:17Speaker 1: up at night. We're a good thing I had not
- 39:19Speaker 1: heard about the Catholic charities, etc. But that certainly would
- 39:21Speaker 1: keep me up at night. I think the key thing
- 39:23Speaker 1: that keeps me up the most at night, though, is
- 39:25Speaker 1: that for twenty some years we were focused on the
- 39:27Speaker 1: forever wars in the Middle East. China build democracy in
- 39:30Speaker 1: countries that couldn't build it, and we took our eye
- 39:32Speaker 1: off China and for twenty years the rise of China
- 39:35Speaker 1: that now we're getting distracted with Russia and Ukraine and
- 39:39Speaker 1: all of our resources and metal energy are going to
- 39:42Speaker 1: that again taking our eye off China. If the United
- 39:45Speaker 1: States is continuing to prosecute a war militarily that we
- 39:50Speaker 1: could win economically but we choose not to, then I
- 39:53Speaker 1: worry that at the end of it all, China is
- 39:55Speaker 1: once China is in charge, we never get it back.
- 39:58Speaker 1: China becomes dominated the world. They'll deal with the nuclear
- 40:02Speaker 1: weapons in Iran and every other way the way they do.
- 40:05Speaker 1: But once the United States is no longer the technological superpower,
- 40:10Speaker 1: the economic superpower, once it's China, we lose our peace
- 40:14Speaker 1: and prosperity for our children and our grandchildren's generation, and
- 40:17Speaker 1: we don't ever get it back. We've been talking so
- 40:21Speaker 1: much about Russia. We've been talking so much about China, Ukraine,
- 40:26Speaker 1: World War Three. Who better to talk about it than
- 40:28Speaker 1: former deput National Security advisor to Donald Trump, Katie McFarlane.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I love seeing you. It's like every year Sea I
- 40:35Speaker 1: see people like you're still alive. We're still alive. Right,
- 40:38Speaker 1: We're still alive. I see you. I'll see you in
- 40:40Speaker 1: a year, right, like I know I'm gonna see my
- 40:42Speaker 1: friends every year. You were former Deputy National Security Advisor,
- 40:49Speaker 1: and under Trump, you guys did an amazing job of
- 40:53Speaker 1: keeping China in check, keeping a Rand in check, keeping
- 40:57Speaker 1: Russia in check. That nord Stream hipeline was an issue
- 41:01Speaker 1: where he said no to that. He told the world,
- 41:02Speaker 1: you don't need to do this. He warned Germany, you
- 41:06Speaker 1: guys are idiots for taking this cheap oil. You're propping
- 41:08Speaker 1: up Putin. He warned the UK that you guys are
- 41:11Speaker 1: dependent on them and this is going to bite you
- 41:12Speaker 1: in the rear end. All of that has become true.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Now it's an issue of national security on two fronts.
- 41:19Speaker 1: We know now from Wuhan, and our government's admitting it. Okay,
- 41:24Speaker 1: it came COVID nineteen came from Wuhan. And superology. This
- 41:27Speaker 1: wasn't that they lied to us, they didn't help protect
- 41:29Speaker 1: the world. China took advantage of that in many ways
- 41:32Speaker 1: and said, hey, if we're going down, everybody else in
- 41:34Speaker 1: the worlds. They knew they had a problem, they knew
- 41:35Speaker 1: they had an outbreak. They didn't protect the rest of
- 41:37Speaker 1: the world. That's a problem from a nap from an
- 41:40Speaker 1: accountability standpoint, How shocked are you that our government isn't
- 41:45Speaker 1: trying to hold China accountable for all of their lives
- 41:48Speaker 1: just with COVID because it was a national security issue.
- 41:51Speaker 1: In my opinion, you had an entire world shut down.
- 41:54Speaker 1: And even now people are like, oh, well, okay, fine,
- 41:56Speaker 1: it happened from Wuhan. Who cares, it's China. We gotta
- 41:59Speaker 1: move on because we need China. Are you shocked by
- 42:02Speaker 1: the ignorance of that, just mindset of its administration, the
- 42:06Speaker 1: irresponsibility of this administration. You know, China is presenting and
- 42:10Speaker 1: has presented, the only strategic threat to the United States
- 42:16Speaker 1: probably in our history going back one hundred or so years.
- 42:19Speaker 1: China is the only country that can replace the United States,
- 42:23Speaker 1: and it has every intention of doing it. It talks
- 42:26Speaker 1: openly about it, of shoving the United States aside and
- 42:30Speaker 1: creating a new world order led by China. Now they're
- 42:33Speaker 1: doing it economically, politically, diplomatically, militarily, technologically, with trade, with everything.
- 42:41Speaker 1: What I and others were concerned with when COVID started,
- 42:45Speaker 1: when I was asked, I think when I first saw
- 42:47Speaker 1: you here at Seapack two years ago or three years
- 42:49Speaker 1: ago in two thousand and twenty, what was it? It It
- 42:51Speaker 1: was just we didn't know what it was. It was
- 42:53Speaker 1: some kind of plague coming around the world. We're not
- 42:57Speaker 1: sure from whom we knew that it was from, or
- 42:59Speaker 1: I and others knew that it came out of Wuhan,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and it was the Chinese biological weapons lab in Wahan.
- 43:05Speaker 1: The United States turns out we had a presence at
- 43:08Speaker 1: that same lab, maybe in a different building or in
- 43:11Speaker 1: a different wing. But it was a leak, and the
- 43:14Speaker 1: Chinese it's not that they deliberately leaked it. What happened
- 43:18Speaker 1: was they realized once it leaked what they had because
- 43:22Speaker 1: they were seeing the deaths in the city of Wuhan.
- 43:25Speaker 1: They had created a virus out of nature. They had
- 43:27Speaker 1: supercharged it. It's called gain a function research, and once
- 43:31Speaker 1: they realized how lethal it was, and how contagious it was.
- 43:33Speaker 1: They shut down China right away. They did not allow
- 43:37Speaker 1: people from the city of Wuhan to travel anywhere in China.
- 43:39Speaker 1: They basically shut the country down. What they opened up, however,
- 43:44Speaker 1: that was travel in and out of Wuhan. So Whan
- 43:47Speaker 1: is a city that has a lot to do with
- 43:49Speaker 1: the garment industry in Italy. So they sent Wuhan residents
- 43:54Speaker 1: who probably were carrying the plague, and they went to Italy,
- 43:58Speaker 1: and then from Italy it spread to Europe and then
- 44:00Speaker 1: it came to the United States. So did they employ
- 44:04Speaker 1: and let loose a biological weapon on the world. No,
- 44:08Speaker 1: But once they knew they had it, they employed it
- 44:09Speaker 1: as such. That should have been our wake up call
- 44:13Speaker 1: to say, okay, now let's look at everything else they're
- 44:15Speaker 1: doing in the light of the fact that they're willing
- 44:16Speaker 1: to do that to the world. You dealt with national
- 44:19Speaker 1: security issues. I think one of the things, and it's
- 44:22Speaker 1: a question that I don't believe has been answered yet,
- 44:25Speaker 1: is this present Since he's become president, Biden has not
- 44:28Speaker 1: so up to China in my opinion on one major thing,
- 44:31Speaker 1: once correct, is that do you believe possibly because Joe
- 44:36Speaker 1: Biden's compromise, the Biden crime families compromise, James Biden's compromise,
- 44:40Speaker 1: Hunter Biden's compromise, and the amount of money and the
- 44:43Speaker 1: funding and the billions of dollars and loans and the CEFE.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I mean, let's be clear, when we were releasing our
- 44:48Speaker 1: strategical reserves, there was a tanker that was sold to
- 44:51Speaker 1: CEFE of our old reserves that went straight to China.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Their filings, financial filings still show Hunter Biden as being
- 45:01Speaker 1: a part of that company, even though the White House
- 45:04Speaker 1: said he had invested all of his foreign investments there
- 45:07Speaker 1: would be in age. And now he's an artist, we
- 45:10Speaker 1: also know that a lot of his arts being bought
- 45:12Speaker 1: by people in China. From a national security standpoint, being
- 45:16Speaker 1: the former national wi Security with Trump advisor, when you
- 45:20Speaker 1: look at this, do you think they are compromising that's
- 45:23Speaker 1: why they cannot stand up to China. I do think
- 45:25Speaker 1: they're compromised. But I think it's even wider than that.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I don't think it's a bag of money under the
- 45:30Speaker 1: suitcase for a bribe for a specific incident. The Chinese
- 45:33Speaker 1: are all over the place. The Chinese are major donors
- 45:36Speaker 1: to think tanks, the Penn Biden Center where all those
- 45:39Speaker 1: classified documents were found. That's a center that was paid
- 45:42Speaker 1: for by the Chinese. Now who was at that center?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Who were the scholars? These are people who left the
- 45:47Speaker 1: Obama administration, went to a Chinese funded think tank and
- 45:52Speaker 1: parked themselves there. And this is all the senior people
- 45:54Speaker 1: who then became secretaries of State at center and the
- 45:57Speaker 1: senior jobs in the Biden administration. Now, is that a
- 46:00Speaker 1: bribe or is that? Gee? China is our friend. China
- 46:04Speaker 1: has paid for our salaries. China is so close to us.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Let's kind of given the benefit of the doubt again
- 46:09Speaker 1: and again and again. And it's not just those particular individuals.
- 46:13Speaker 1: It's the think tanks, it's the college campuses. The Chinese
- 46:17Speaker 1: have been on a concerted effort to infiltrate the United
- 46:20Speaker 1: States intellectual community, the thought leader at the highest levels
- 46:25Speaker 1: for twenty years, and they've thrown around a lot of
- 46:28Speaker 1: money to do it. So it's not just one or
- 46:31Speaker 1: two individuals, it's the whole gang of them. It's the
- 46:33Speaker 1: whole Washington elite, Republicans as well as Democrats, but most
- 46:37Speaker 1: particularly Biden and the Democrants. Let's talk about China. And
- 46:40Speaker 1: there's a headline that's not gotten a lot of attention
- 46:42Speaker 1: which has actually shocked me. And that's the fact that
- 46:44Speaker 1: there's basically Chinese police stations in the United States of
- 46:47Speaker 1: America to keep track and to keep in check people
- 46:50Speaker 1: from China and the US. How are we even allowing
- 46:52Speaker 1: that to happen? Again, it's the Chinese have infiltrated so
- 46:56Speaker 1: many aspects of our society. They do have police state,
- 47:00Speaker 1: Chinese police stations in the American cities to track Chinese citizens.
- 47:05Speaker 1: That's not a conspiracy theory. And I want to like
- 47:08Speaker 1: they're there, and like when that story kind of broke,
- 47:10Speaker 1: you like, whatever, that's a construction. I'm like, no, it's
- 47:13Speaker 1: actually real. They really are doing this and we're allowing it.
- 47:16Speaker 1: In America, they have think tanks that they pay for
- 47:19Speaker 1: in colleges and high schools around the country. They're called
- 47:21Speaker 1: Confucius institutes. Those are spy tracks. I mean they're recruiting spies.
- 47:26Speaker 1: They're recruiting, they're putting their own people. They're two active
- 47:28Speaker 1: spies and then trying to recruit Americans as spies. There's
- 47:32Speaker 1: another example. If you want to if you have a
- 47:34Speaker 1: company and you want to listen on the New York
- 47:35Speaker 1: Stock Exchange. In order to have that privilege, you have
- 47:38Speaker 1: to show all of your paperwork, your books, you're accounting,
- 47:41Speaker 1: you know, forensic account They look through every inch of
- 47:43Speaker 1: every nickel that was spent anywhere. If you're a Chinese company,
- 47:46Speaker 1: maybe a Chinese military company, what do you think you
- 47:49Speaker 1: have to do to list on the stock exchange? Those
- 47:52Speaker 1: rules were all waived. China can list on the New
- 47:55Speaker 1: York Stock Exchange. Pension funds from American government pension funds,
- 47:59Speaker 1: they're invested seen in those companies. So we have basically
- 48:02Speaker 1: paid for the Chinese military build up. Look the Chinese
- 48:06Speaker 1: the thing that is so upsetting because it's hard to
- 48:09Speaker 1: wrap your head around the idea that there is a
- 48:11Speaker 1: country that is using every aspect of its government and
- 48:14Speaker 1: national and economic power to replace the United States, kick
- 48:18Speaker 1: us on the ash heap of history, and then take
- 48:20Speaker 1: over the world. Let's talk about the documents that the
- 48:25Speaker 1: president has. He admitted in an interview I think it
- 48:28Speaker 1: was CBS or ABC. I can't remember that the exclusive interview.
- 48:32Speaker 1: It was recently that he had classified documents dating back
- 48:36Speaker 1: to his first years, his timeline he gave the American
- 48:40Speaker 1: people in the Senate. This is forty plus years of documents,
- 48:45Speaker 1: classified documents. He's has hands on. How concerned you again,
- 48:50Speaker 1: former Deputy National Security Advisor, that a US senator had
- 48:55Speaker 1: these documents outside of a skiff and is admitting the
- 48:58Speaker 1: timeline is over his entire fifty year career in Washington
- 49:02Speaker 1: and there seems to be really no accountability for this
- 49:04Speaker 1: so far. Yeah, there's a special prosecutor, I get that,
- 49:07Speaker 1: But these documents were everywhere, and a lot of them
- 49:09Speaker 1: dealt with the same exact company. Are countries which the
- 49:14Speaker 1: Biden crime family was profiting from. Documents were being told
- 49:18Speaker 1: from place like Iran, China, about China should say about
- 49:22Speaker 1: I ran about Ukraine, about Russia. Look, the Biden crime
- 49:27Speaker 1: family and that the people affiliated and on the edges
- 49:30Speaker 1: of it are committing an enormous crime against the American people.
- 49:34Speaker 1: They're getting rich on it. But they're the thing that
- 49:37Speaker 1: I find I guess even more upsetting. It's like I
- 49:39Speaker 1: suspect politicians to be to lie, sheet steal and get bribed.
- 49:43Speaker 1: What really is upsetting is that the Justice Department that's
- 49:46Speaker 1: supposed to represent the American people is treating this very differently.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I mean they created the whole Russia Gate spy thing,
- 49:53Speaker 1: and then they prosecuted President Trump. They now have direct
- 49:56Speaker 1: evidence Hunter Biden's laptop, etc. And they're not doing a
- 49:59Speaker 1: thing to go after those people. And then the complicit media,
- 50:03Speaker 1: so that the media, even some members of the media
- 50:06Speaker 1: who do want to do their job, people like Ben Ferguson,
- 50:10Speaker 1: what are you doing? You're shut down. And so it's
- 50:14Speaker 1: a really scary time in America. I mean, the First
- 50:16Speaker 1: Amendment rights. You can't even get up and speak about that.
- 50:19Speaker 1: The New York Posts tried to talk about the Hunter
- 50:20Speaker 1: Biden laptop. Right, They're kicked off of social media. They're
- 50:23Speaker 1: going to be prosecuted by the Justice Department. It's to
- 50:27Speaker 1: me the adversaries are not Republicans versus Democrats anymore. It's
- 50:31Speaker 1: the people of the country versus the Washington power elite
- 50:35Speaker 1: of both political parties in cahoots with the mainstream media
- 50:39Speaker 1: and social media and the corrupt influences that they all
- 50:43Speaker 1: seem to be part of. And hopefully some of our
- 50:47Speaker 1: predictions are wrong. All right, don't forget to share our podcast.
