- 1:27Speaker 7: We got to turn the mouth the turn.
- 1:43Speaker 3: You probably got to turn mouth, turn out the word
- 1:47Speaker 3: the money up looking.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Come come on, you'll.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Think, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody. You
- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, today is simple.
- 2:14Speaker 2: I want to tell you. I want to just talk
- 2:18Speaker 2: to you about effort today. Just about effort. You know,
- 2:25Speaker 2: it's it's it's it's a word that people use to
- 2:28Speaker 2: describe sometimes trying. But what I found out about trying
- 2:34Speaker 2: is trying is just a noble way of saying you
- 2:38Speaker 2: didn't get it done. I tried when and then everybody go, well,
- 2:44Speaker 2: he tried, that was the best. Well that's that's not.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Exactly true though that that's that's not exactly true.
- 2:52Speaker 2: You are and I want to talk to you about
- 2:54Speaker 2: that because I don't want you to be one of
- 2:57Speaker 2: the people who just tried.
- 3:00Speaker 1: See trying I mean, I gotta tell you to attempt something.
- 3:05Speaker 2: You're gonna have to first try, but I want you
- 3:09Speaker 2: to change your mindset from trying to getting it done.
- 3:15Speaker 1: See, that's a big difference.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I'm really more apt to listen to the person that
- 3:19Speaker 2: says to me, I'm gonna get it done. I'm gonna try.
- 3:23Speaker 2: What try does is it allows you to fail. It's
- 3:26Speaker 2: the person that has the mindset that I'm gonna get
- 3:29Speaker 2: it done is the person who changes the complexion of things.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it done. It's very different than I'm
- 3:36Speaker 1: gonna try.
- 3:38Speaker 4: You know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Look, man, I know this sounds a little.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Harsh, but you gotta stop feeding yourself these little old
- 3:45Speaker 2: wise sayings that ain't it was a valiant try. Hey man,
- 3:50Speaker 2: you talk to anybody that took second place in the
- 3:54Speaker 2: super Bowl and see how they feel about their valiant try.
- 3:58Speaker 2: The only way to gain God's real blessings is you
- 4:04Speaker 2: have to try something. Steve Backpeddling, Now, listen to me close.
- 4:12Speaker 2: You have to put forth an effort to allow God
- 4:19Speaker 2: to put his finger on something to bless on your behalf.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You must start to attempt now in saying getting it done,
- 4:30Speaker 2: and I'm gonna try.
- 4:32Speaker 1: That's a different of two different faiths to me that
- 4:36Speaker 1: I'm just talking about me.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Now, you may be different, so I can't say this
- 4:39Speaker 2: about you, but I can say this about me. If
- 4:44Speaker 2: I say I'm gonna get it done, I have a
- 4:48Speaker 2: lot of faith in it. I am going to get
- 4:52Speaker 2: it done because I just don't see failure as an option.
- 4:55Speaker 2: A lot of times now, if somebody says to me,
- 4:59Speaker 2: like the Olympic team invited me out to curl one day,
- 5:03Speaker 2: which is throw these stones on the ice. If you're
- 5:06Speaker 2: not familiar with this, very simple man and so I said, man,
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'd like to give that a try. I went in
- 5:16Speaker 2: full well knowing I may not come away from this
- 5:20Speaker 2: little curling lesson as a person.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Who could make the Olympic team.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I just wanted to try it because I thought it
- 5:28Speaker 2: looked cool and always wanted to get it done.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Well.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I failed twice. I threw a stone completely into the
- 5:34Speaker 2: other lane. I lost that little ice shoe it shot
- 5:38Speaker 2: out under me. But you know what, I kept trying though.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I kept trying until I got four of them stones
- 5:47Speaker 2: in that circle right where I aim.
- 5:50Speaker 1: But now had I given up? After I failed?
- 5:54Speaker 2: After I threw that stone in the other lane after
- 5:56Speaker 2: I shot my shoe down all the way to the bottoms,
- 6:00Speaker 2: the little ice shoe they give you.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I never did it, but because I was trying.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Something got me together a little bit because of my effort,
- 6:10Speaker 2: and it caused me not to fall the next time,
- 6:12Speaker 2: not to throw it in the other lane, not to
- 6:14Speaker 2: shoot my shoe to the back of the wall.
- 6:18Speaker 1: All of a sudden, my trying became something. Now had
- 6:22Speaker 1: I stayed out.
- 6:22Speaker 2: There and it wasn't so cold, and I went back
- 6:25Speaker 2: week after week after week after week, I promise you
- 6:30Speaker 2: I could get it done. I could at least know
- 6:34Speaker 2: how to compete in a game of curling. Might not
- 6:37Speaker 2: be the best. I might not win the championship, but
- 6:41Speaker 2: I could have got it done to the point where
- 6:43Speaker 2: I could have competed in a game of curling. So
- 6:45Speaker 2: sometimes if you're scared to say I'm gonna get it done,
- 6:49Speaker 2: just go out there and get started. You know, learn
- 6:53Speaker 2: from every attempt that you make. See, don't quit writing
- 6:57Speaker 2: yourself off as a failure every time something don't go right.
- 7:01Speaker 1: When I fail on that ice, I could have said.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Man, I can't curl, but hold up, man, I'm watching
- 7:05Speaker 2: four other women out here, curl, four of the.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Dudes out here, curl the little kids out here curling.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Hold r Pardner, You know, man, So I learned when
- 7:13Speaker 2: I threw that stone on the other ice, when I failed,
- 7:17Speaker 2: when when my shoe shot off, I learned from every
- 7:20Speaker 2: attempt a little bit more about it. And then I
- 7:25Speaker 2: said to myself one point in time, man, I'm gonna
- 7:28Speaker 2: get this stone in that circle. I'm gonna get this
- 7:31Speaker 2: stone in this circle. And guess what I got it done.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Now what you're saying to me, Steve, I'm saying to
- 7:39Speaker 2: you that you gotta get started. That you got to
- 7:42Speaker 2: put forth an effort. Give God something to bless. Oh God,
- 7:45Speaker 2: bless me, Oh God, bless me.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Bless you?
- 7:48Speaker 4: What?
- 7:49Speaker 7: Bless you?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Where? Bless you?
- 7:51Speaker 8: How?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Stop basing your results on what you're thinking. You gotta
- 7:55Speaker 2: think higher. You get God in your life, man, He
- 7:58Speaker 2: allows you to think higher, bigger, better more. I'm sitting
- 8:04Speaker 2: up in my debt. I came up with a plan
- 8:06Speaker 2: to get out of debt in five years. I came
- 8:08Speaker 2: up with this plan, right. I was sitting up and
- 8:10Speaker 2: I was tripping on it.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Now. I said, wait a minute, man, hold on this
- 8:14Speaker 1: is what I came up with. I said, God.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Created heaven and earth, all of it, the mountains, the sky,
- 8:24Speaker 2: the valleys, the oceans, trees, the birds, the Indian Ocean,
- 8:29Speaker 2: all of it, made all of it in six days,
- 8:34Speaker 2: and then he rested on the seven. So why am
- 8:38Speaker 2: I taking to God the five year plan? If he
- 8:43Speaker 2: can create heaven and earth in six days, why am
- 8:47Speaker 2: I walking in there talking about help me in five years?
- 8:51Speaker 2: How is it gonna take God five years to getting
- 8:55Speaker 2: me out of debt?
- 8:56Speaker 1: And he made heaven and Earth in six days through
- 8:59Speaker 1: the math. Hell, man, I ain't that big. You ain't
- 9:03Speaker 1: that big. You ain't in that much trouble. I ain't
- 9:06Speaker 1: in that much trouble. See, God got a way of
- 9:09Speaker 1: showing you some things, man, but it's gonna take some faith,
- 9:12Speaker 1: and faith gonna take some effort on your part.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Man, get out and do something. Man, you God will
- 9:18Speaker 2: bless you a little bit and he give you a
- 9:19Speaker 2: little bit more courage.
- 9:21Speaker 1: And then all them attempts you making is gonna and
- 9:23Speaker 1: all this so I'll try. You know what that turned into.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna get it done.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And at the end of the day, that's what you
- 9:29Speaker 2: have to do because trying to pay your rent and
- 9:32Speaker 2: not paying your rent is two different things. You could
- 9:36Speaker 2: you can try to play your pay your rent, or
- 9:38Speaker 2: you can get it done. Now, how long you think
- 9:40Speaker 2: you gonna stay in that house trying? You got to
- 9:42Speaker 2: go with the mindset of getting it done. And if
- 9:45Speaker 2: you can put some stuff out there and give God
- 9:47Speaker 2: a chance to put his finger on and bless it
- 9:49Speaker 2: for you, the most stuff he can do for you.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Quit looking around what everybody else got and gonna get
- 9:53Speaker 2: some of it for yourself.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Okay, all right, you're listening.
- 9:58Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Another day, another opportunity, another blessing, another
- 10:06Speaker 1: gift from God. That's how I look at it. I'm
- 10:08Speaker 1: just sharing it with you, that's all. This is a
- 10:10Speaker 1: great day, man. I mean, look, I have a way
- 10:14Speaker 1: that I've started my day off.
- 10:16Speaker 2: You know, I always start my day off with gratitude,
- 10:19Speaker 2: but now I start my day off with these affirmations.
- 10:22Speaker 2: After I thank God for all He's done for me,
- 10:25Speaker 2: my life, my lifestyle, the lessons I've had to learn,
- 10:29Speaker 2: and all the lessons I've learned has been wrapped up.
- 10:32Speaker 2: All of my greatest lessons have been you know, wrapped
- 10:36Speaker 2: up in some form of pain. But I understand that,
- 10:40Speaker 2: and it's okay or failure and I understand that. But
- 10:44Speaker 2: after I do that, I now have a new affirmation
- 10:46Speaker 2: in the morning, where I just say, I am I
- 10:49Speaker 2: am protected, I am loved, I am filled with his spirit,
- 10:54Speaker 2: I am his child, I am protected. I will prosper.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I know that all things work for the good of
- 11:01Speaker 2: those who love the Lord. I know that everything that
- 11:05Speaker 2: can happen to me today is wrapped up in a
- 11:08Speaker 2: wonderful package for me that will eventually lead me down
- 11:12Speaker 2: to the path and the goals that I've set for myself.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And He has for me. And no plan God has
- 11:17Speaker 1: for me, no man can stop me.
- 11:19Speaker 2: So I wake up every day refreshed and renewed, and
- 11:23Speaker 2: nothing you can do what God has for me. Try
- 11:27Speaker 2: if you won't hate, if you will when you get through,
- 11:30Speaker 2: watch me Showtime, Steve Harvey, Marty Show, Shelley Strawberry, Carlin
- 11:34Speaker 2: for Real, Mississippi Monica, Junior Tim is out today. Don't matter, Junior.
- 11:39Speaker 2: What's on your mind today?
- 11:40Speaker 4: Man?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Well, I like how you said that. I never thought
- 11:43Speaker 1: about that.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Do you feel like you sometimes you too hard on yourself?
- 11:47Speaker 1: Up? I heard you say that you be hard on Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yea,
- 11:50Speaker 1: yeah yeah, I am hard on myself.
- 11:52Speaker 2: That's been a that's been a benefit, but it's also
- 11:55Speaker 2: been a flaw because look, man, if God has given
- 11:59Speaker 2: me a moved me past my past, why am I
- 12:02Speaker 2: going to keep reviewing it?
- 12:05Speaker 10: You know?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:06Speaker 2: And the deeper problem is when you allow other people
- 12:10Speaker 2: to review it. My close remarks today is my resume
- 12:16Speaker 2: tells you where I being.
- 12:18Speaker 1: That's all. It has nothing to do with who I
- 12:21Speaker 1: am today. So you can read my resume all you want.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Your family said this about you got all that.
- 12:29Speaker 2: That ain't nothing but my resume. My resume only tells
- 12:33Speaker 2: you where I've been and what I did. It has
- 12:37Speaker 2: nothing to do with where I'm going. Man, oh man,
- 12:40Speaker 2: oh man. I'm telling you that's a great realization. Man,
- 12:45Speaker 2: you better stop letting that resume affect your future because
- 12:49Speaker 2: there has nothing to do with today. Yeah, man, you
- 12:55Speaker 2: can rewrite that all that. See, man, I'm through with
- 12:58Speaker 2: I'm telling you man. You know said jokingly the other
- 13:01Speaker 2: day that I'm at sixty seven, I've crossed that line.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I'm on the other side of that line called I
- 13:08Speaker 2: could give less dinner. I'm on the other side of
- 13:11Speaker 2: that line. I'm fully over that now, right. I jumped
- 13:14Speaker 2: really really and the repression over here. I didn't know
- 13:19Speaker 2: how cool it was over here.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Yes, not.
- 13:21Speaker 2: If you could get over on this side of that,
- 13:23Speaker 2: I could give less din of fist. I'm just telling
- 13:26Speaker 2: you who.
- 13:29Speaker 7: I like you, see, man.
- 13:32Speaker 11: All right, that's how we're starting this day off. Okay,
- 13:36Speaker 11: coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, Junior's
- 13:39Speaker 11: in for the nephew as we run that prank back
- 13:42Speaker 11: right after this. You're listening.
- 13:45Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 13:46Speaker 11: All right, it's Monday, so we know what time it is.
- 13:49Speaker 11: Tommy is not here. Junior is in for Tommy with
- 13:52Speaker 11: run that prank back. What you got for a s.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Law and order is the prank law and order.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Come on, okay, good morning.
- 14:00Speaker 10: There's your law on Associates office.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Hey, how you doing. I'm trying to speak to the lawyer, mister.
- 14:06Speaker 4: He's not in, sir, but.
- 14:08Speaker 10: I can help you so I can get all the
- 14:10Speaker 10: information and also get your actual complaint at hand, and
- 14:13Speaker 10: then I could get your scheduled.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Okay, what's your name?
- 14:16Speaker 10: My name is Joel.
- 14:17Speaker 4: What's your name, Joel? My name is Dwight. Dwight Turner,
- 14:22Speaker 4: I'm trying to file file a lawsuit on somebody. I
- 14:26Speaker 4: ain't never done this before, but I'm trying to file
- 14:27Speaker 4: a lawsuit on somebody, and I don't know. You know,
- 14:30Speaker 4: everybody tell me Ben a good attorney or whatever. So
- 14:33Speaker 4: I wanted to talk and talk to him and see
- 14:36Speaker 4: how I'm supposed to go about this right here?
- 14:38Speaker 10: Okay, Well, can I get all your information and then
- 14:41Speaker 10: I can get your schedule.
- 14:42Speaker 4: He's not in the office right now, okay, but is
- 14:45Speaker 4: he coming back today? Though? Am I gonna be.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Able to talk to him?
- 14:47Speaker 10: I'm not sure. He's in court all day and I'm
- 14:52Speaker 10: pretty much his everything.
- 14:54Speaker 4: So when am I gonna get to talk to him?
- 14:56Speaker 10: Then He's pretty good on getting back to you. He
- 14:58Speaker 10: would get back to you probably tomorrow, but actually better
- 15:02Speaker 10: to schedule as the only way you can leap with
- 15:04Speaker 10: him and you'll actually meet with him face to face.
- 15:06Speaker 10: The connotation is free. You could sit down with him
- 15:08Speaker 10: and have that one on one and explain everything that's
- 15:10Speaker 10: going on.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So what you what you need? What you need for me?
- 15:13Speaker 4: Because I want to come see you in tomorrow if
- 15:15Speaker 4: I can get on his schedule tomorrow.
- 15:16Speaker 10: I need your full name the day of birth, and your.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Name, my name the wife, okay, my birth, my day
- 15:22Speaker 4: to birth. Okay, hold on, let me ask it. Let's
- 15:25Speaker 4: get for all that. Can you just take down what's
- 15:27Speaker 4: going on with the whole situation that? Can we get Well,
- 15:30Speaker 4: I'll give you all all that other stuff later. I
- 15:32Speaker 4: want you to write down what's going on first, because
- 15:35Speaker 4: that's what's bothered me. I didn't get this all my.
- 15:36Speaker 10: Chest and what is the actual print?
- 15:38Speaker 4: What is what's going on? I want to file a
- 15:41Speaker 4: lawsuit on my girl friend's HUDs.
- 15:44Speaker 10: Are they still together? They're still married now.
- 15:46Speaker 4: They still married, day together and everything. You know that
- 15:49Speaker 4: don't bother me right there? But I want to file
- 15:51Speaker 4: a lawsuit on him though.
- 15:53Speaker 10: So you're her boyfriend, she's still married, they lived together,
- 15:56Speaker 10: they're not legally separated, nothing like that.
- 15:58Speaker 4: They live together, They got cute.
- 16:00Speaker 5: You know.
- 16:01Speaker 4: I ain't tripping on that part right there?
- 16:02Speaker 10: But your boyfriend, yeah, okay, And you want to sue
- 16:06Speaker 10: her husband for what?
- 16:08Speaker 4: For messing up our relationship, for getting in the middle
- 16:10Speaker 4: of what me and her got going on.
- 16:12Speaker 10: So that's not a crime, that's not ground for a lawsuit.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Hello, he messed up everything? We got going on. You know,
- 16:21Speaker 4: now he's taking the phone from up, he taking my
- 16:24Speaker 4: name out of it. You know, he's okay. And when
- 16:26Speaker 4: I sell a text message, he asking the text mens,
- 16:29Speaker 4: I'm sorry to hear that.
- 16:30Speaker 10: I'm sorry that you. I'm sorry that's all going on.
- 16:32Speaker 10: But that's not suitable for our type of law. We
- 16:36Speaker 10: don't handle any cases like that. Infidelity, which it sounds
- 16:39Speaker 10: like what's going on, that's not ground for a lawsuit.
- 16:42Speaker 10: We don't address that type of thing.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Okay, So what you're talking about infidelity.
- 16:47Speaker 10: Look, you're sleeping with the marry you're sleeping with the
- 16:51Speaker 10: married woman, and you have a relationship with her, and
- 16:55Speaker 10: you want to sue her current legal Yes, work your relationship. Actually,
- 17:02Speaker 10: you're the actual outsider. You're the actual person that's in
- 17:06Speaker 10: the wrong. If you want to make a I told
- 17:10Speaker 10: you it's Joel, Sir, Joel.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Ain't nobody to ask you for your phone opinion.
- 17:18Speaker 10: Of cursing. Hello, Hello, there's no need for cursing. I
- 17:21Speaker 10: cannot help you, That's what I'm trying to tell you.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I don't even know how to recy.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Sir.
- 17:29Speaker 10: I don't even know how to give you to the lawyer.
- 17:31Speaker 6: There's no lawyer. It's not gonna do this.
- 17:33Speaker 5: Please don't call me with this.
- 17:36Speaker 10: Youre trying to tear it out of my pocket. Man
- 17:40Speaker 10: about somebody you called me by somebody husband.
- 17:48Speaker 6: My job is to have some drama sense. My job.
- 17:51Speaker 10: You are the old last man, the Mary of marriage
- 17:54Speaker 10: one man. You need to have common sense.
- 17:58Speaker 6: I know, Joel, that's who you talking to.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Not hurting me. Do not hurt me.
- 18:03Speaker 6: How can I take this call? Sir?
- 18:05Speaker 3: Sir?
- 18:05Speaker 10: I don't want to hang up on you, and I
- 18:07Speaker 10: don't want to misrepresent this law office.
- 18:10Speaker 6: Let me okay, let me tell you what.
- 18:12Speaker 10: No, let me just something, have some morals and know
- 18:15Speaker 10: what lawsuits are. Don't call me with this, dumb sir.
- 18:19Speaker 4: You know what office?
- 18:26Speaker 1: You lucky?
- 18:27Speaker 10: Anybody in the office got me curssed off the languages
- 18:30Speaker 10: and I don't even know you.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Okay, let me tell you.
- 18:34Speaker 10: I'm about to hang I'm about to hang up.

- 20:50Speaker 6: I love y'all.
- 20:54Speaker 11: All right, Junior, thank you, and for the nephew. Coming
- 20:57Speaker 11: up next, it is asked the c l O with
- 20:59Speaker 11: one and only Steve Harvey.
- 21:01Speaker 9: You're listening Harvey Morning Show?
- 21:04Speaker 11: All right? Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:06Speaker 11: In entertainment News, doctor Umar claims that Steve is being
- 21:10Speaker 11: paid to support V. P. Harris's presidential campaign. Doctor Umar,
- 21:18Speaker 11: he's big on Instagram, all right.
- 21:27Speaker 3: All the time?
- 21:28Speaker 11: Mean you're so famous?
- 21:31Speaker 1: All right?
- 21:31Speaker 11: Someone biles were a Green Bay Packers jacket to a
- 21:34Speaker 11: Chicago Bears game caused a ruckus and Enna Detroit judge
- 21:42Speaker 11: is suspended after mistreating a student during a field trip.
- 21:45Speaker 11: We'll talk about all of these stories coming up at
- 21:47Speaker 11: the top of the hour, but right now it is
- 21:49Speaker 11: time for the man of the Hour, Steve Harvey and
- 21:53Speaker 11: ask the clo he's our chief love officer too. This
- 21:56Speaker 11: is from Sharissa Monroe. Shari says the guy she's dating
- 22:00Speaker 11: has been pressuring her for sex, but he hasn't taken
- 22:04Speaker 11: her on a real date or offered to put gas
- 22:07Speaker 11: in her car, or get her nails done or get
- 22:09Speaker 11: her hair done. He said that he's never had to
- 22:14Speaker 11: do that for sex. Cheri says she's forty eight and
- 22:17Speaker 11: divorced and she wants to know has dating changed.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Well, Cheri, I want you to be carefless of something
- 22:28Speaker 2: you're talking about. He wants sex and he hasn't taken
- 22:32Speaker 2: you on a real date yet, and then you says
- 22:35Speaker 2: he ain't put gas in your car or putting a
- 22:38Speaker 2: nails So I'm trying to figure out what's the requirement
- 22:44Speaker 2: for sex because all you talking about is.
- 22:48Speaker 1: A real date, like dinner, movie something like that.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Are you talking about getting your tank filled up or
- 22:54Speaker 2: your nails done?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Now?
- 22:56Speaker 2: If that's all it is for sex, I can't tell.
- 22:59Speaker 2: It's a whole lot to take us for that. But
- 23:02Speaker 2: I would think what you need to do at forty
- 23:04Speaker 2: eight and realize has dating.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Changed is.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it has changed, and you need to make some
- 23:13Speaker 2: adjustments also, because I don't know if you want to
- 23:16Speaker 2: face the fact of why you're single again at forty eight.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But was it because your other relationship was based on nails, gas,
- 23:26Speaker 1: dinner and a movie? Now do you want to do?
- 23:31Speaker 2: You want to just have prerekfaces for how you pass
- 23:33Speaker 2: out sex or you trying to have relationship? Because if
- 23:36Speaker 2: you just have sex, just go on, get your gas tank,
- 23:38Speaker 2: feel and wait if somebody do you nail and get
- 23:40Speaker 2: your hair done?
- 23:41Speaker 1: How much? How much your bad costs?
- 23:43Speaker 4: Now?
- 23:43Speaker 1: And then just go on and have sex. If you
- 23:45Speaker 1: want to have relationship, you're gonna have to change something.
- 23:50Speaker 11: Sorry, Okay, gonna move on.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Because all I heard was a letter of how much
- 23:56Speaker 1: her sex costs. That's all I heard. Yeah, I didn't
- 23:59Speaker 1: hear nothing about treatment expectations.
- 24:04Speaker 11: Yeah did you hear the part about him pressuring her
- 24:06Speaker 11: for sex.
- 24:08Speaker 2: And then he told her he ain't never had to
- 24:10Speaker 2: do that, to which means yeah, yeah, he's not used
- 24:15Speaker 2: to openly paying first.
- 24:19Speaker 11: But taking her on a real date.
- 24:23Speaker 1: See, all of that has nothing to do with you, ma'am.
- 24:28Speaker 11: You're saying she's putting a price on sex. That's what
- 24:31Speaker 11: you're Yeah.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, look he's pressuring you for sex. You ain't got
- 24:35Speaker 2: to give a man nothing, right, you're the owner of that. Yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 2: and you should control that. But now you done obviously
- 24:43Speaker 2: told him about the gas and the nails, and his
- 24:47Speaker 2: response was he ain't ever had to do that before
- 24:50Speaker 2: to get no sex.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Maybe y'all two don't need to be together coming up
- 24:59Speaker 1: in here empty hand.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I mean and and I and I
- 25:04Speaker 2: don't blame him, dude. You can't come up here and
- 25:07Speaker 2: say you ain't gonna do nothing. Now, just give it
- 25:11Speaker 2: to me, come on home, you know. How's her.
- 25:16Speaker 1: All right?
- 25:17Speaker 11: Moving on to JJ and Topeka, JJ writes, my brother's
- 25:20Speaker 11: wife is very stand office, and my wife doesn't want
- 25:22Speaker 11: her to come to our baby shower. She expects me
- 25:25Speaker 11: to tell my brother not to bring his wife. My
- 25:28Speaker 11: brother will hate my wife if I do that. Do
- 25:30Speaker 11: I disobey my pregnant wife and insult my brother?
- 25:35Speaker 2: Well, his his wife is staying office, which means she
- 25:40Speaker 2: could be an introvert. She could be shy, you know,
- 25:44Speaker 2: she could be you know, uneasy around crowds or people.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Just let her come to the shower and sit ass
- 25:51Speaker 1: in the corner.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but you can't have your husband tell his brother, Hey, man,
- 25:58Speaker 2: don't bring your girl over here, because now what the
- 26:00Speaker 2: brother coming from.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Now, your wife is being a little bit unreasonable about it.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It's the baby shower. Just let her come and be
- 26:11Speaker 1: stand office. That's how she is.
- 26:14Speaker 2: At least she ain't a busy body. She ain't over
- 26:16Speaker 2: there being messy and starting. She's just sitting in the corner.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Give on a piece of watermelon. Listen to me, Give
- 26:23Speaker 2: off a piece of watermelon because people, Yeah, because it's
- 26:26Speaker 2: hard to look, you know, watermelon. Yeah, watermelon hard to eat.
- 26:32Speaker 2: You know, it ain't easy food to eat. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:36Speaker 2: especially if you don't dice it up in blocks. You
- 26:39Speaker 2: just cut slices.
- 26:41Speaker 1: You got that right.
- 26:45Speaker 2: To make sure it's with no seeds, Rightbower Gift.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Let me tell you, hey, we were in Africa and
- 26:53Speaker 1: I was we was out of this restaurant and the
- 26:56Speaker 1: dude that was with Terrell, he asked her, oh the
- 26:59Speaker 1: way that he said, hey, man, y'all, ain't got no watermelon,
- 27:01Speaker 1: ain't got no seeds in it. The brother said, what
- 27:05Speaker 1: is this? That's in Africa?
- 27:10Speaker 2: They don't even know what you're talking about Yeah, how
- 27:12Speaker 2: do you have a watermelon with no seeds? But we
- 27:14Speaker 2: so eating all this GMO genetically modified mess. We think
- 27:18Speaker 2: seedless watermelon is not natural.
- 27:21Speaker 11: Yeah, that's all I wanted watermelon with seed. I don't
- 27:25Speaker 11: buy it if it doesn't halt a man, all right.
- 27:28Speaker 11: Moving on to Uri and Macon. Macon says, my neighbor
- 27:32Speaker 11: illegally sells lunch plates out of her house Monday through Friday.
- 27:36Speaker 11: I told her that her customers need to stop blocking
- 27:39Speaker 11: my driveway. She said, that's between me and the person
- 27:43Speaker 11: that's driving the car. Should I report her illegal business?
- 27:48Speaker 4: No?
- 27:49Speaker 1: No, No, She's not illegally selling anything. Why is that illegal?
- 27:57Speaker 1: When is selling food illegal from your house?
- 28:00Speaker 2: You need a license if you go out on the street,
- 28:04Speaker 2: but I don't think you need a license if you're
- 28:06Speaker 2: selling food out your house.
- 28:11Speaker 9: She got a full blown.
- 28:16Speaker 1: He's booming man, you know.
- 28:18Speaker 2: But now she says that's between you and the person
- 28:20Speaker 2: driving the car, which is true. She may not even
- 28:23Speaker 2: know these people. But I think what she should do
- 28:26Speaker 2: to accommodate you is to let anybody know that comes
- 28:30Speaker 2: in please do not block the neighbor's driveways. And that's
- 28:33Speaker 2: the courteous thing to do, so you don't have a
- 28:35Speaker 2: problem with the neighbor. Now, if you're gonna have these
- 28:37Speaker 2: people coming to your house, they're gonna have to follow
- 28:40Speaker 2: some type of rules.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Now, he ain't just be blocking driveways.
- 28:44Speaker 11: Yeah, she's right for that.
- 28:46Speaker 1: You know that's good.
- 28:48Speaker 11: But a quick minute, I report you.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Down.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Who you cut her money off? There's gonna be a
- 29:03Speaker 1: whole nother problem.
- 29:04Speaker 11: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's not cool between you
- 29:11Speaker 11: and the person driving the car. No, it's not.
- 29:15Speaker 1: You shut that woman business done. You'll grasp, don't be dyning,
- 29:18Speaker 1: you'll fly out, be a gonna be no good.
- 29:20Speaker 11: Your puppy missing, all right, clo, thank you. Coming up
- 29:24Speaker 11: at the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment
- 29:26Speaker 11: news for you right after this. You're listening.
- 29:31Speaker 9: Morning show, all right, So here we go.
- 29:35Speaker 11: Doctor Umar Johnson took to Instagram last week. Last Thursday
- 29:39Speaker 11: to the exact He said he was offered ten thousand
- 29:43Speaker 11: dollars to do an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris
- 29:46Speaker 11: and went on to say that he believes other celebrities
- 29:50Speaker 11: are being paid to support Vice President Kamala for her
- 29:54Speaker 11: bid for the White House. Right Ulmar specifically called you out, Steve.
- 29:58Speaker 11: He called out Ricky's Smiley. He claimed that both of
- 30:02Speaker 11: you were paid to support Kamala Harris's campaign. Here's what
- 30:05Speaker 11: he said. He said, quote Steve Harvey and Ricky Smiley,
- 30:08Speaker 11: I love you both, no hate to my big brothers.
- 30:12Speaker 11: But if we're going to be honest, Ricky Smiley and
- 30:15Speaker 11: Steve Harvey, y'all only carried on because y'all got paid
- 30:20Speaker 11: to carry on. Can we please be honest? Can we
- 30:24Speaker 11: The black vote ain't for sale?
- 30:26Speaker 7: No more?
- 30:26Speaker 11: End quote. So you know we've had Vice President Harris
- 30:30Speaker 11: on the show many times, so let's address this bogus claim. Please, Steve.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Well, first of all, we're going to have her on
- 30:37Speaker 2: her again or how many other times it's needed to
- 30:40Speaker 2: get her into office. Brother Umar, let me say this, man,
- 30:45Speaker 2: I absolutely love some of the things you say.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I really really do.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Man.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Some of the stuff I don't always agree with, But
- 30:53Speaker 2: ain't nobody got to agree with everything I say.
- 30:56Speaker 1: But let me clear down something. Please, ain't high Steve
- 31:00Speaker 1: Harvey for ten thousand dollars do nothing.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Let me just let me just at that out the
- 31:06Speaker 2: way ide where you got that number from. But you
- 31:11Speaker 2: can't offer Steve Harvey ten thousand to do nothing.
- 31:18Speaker 1: You can.
- 31:18Speaker 2: You can go through the industry and ask about me.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Let me tell you this, Oh my, hold, my lemitates man,
- 31:29Speaker 2: and I ain't no hate here at all because I
- 31:31Speaker 2: because I like some of the work he does. I
- 31:32Speaker 2: really don't listen, man, I don't he said, I don't
- 31:37Speaker 2: do nothing nothing for ten thousand dollars. Don't even don't
- 31:45Speaker 2: even insult. Don't insult the brand equity that I built
- 31:50Speaker 2: over these thirty years for television.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I just don't, man.
- 31:55Speaker 2: And I'm doing this absolutely free of charge because I
- 32:00Speaker 2: want this country to be in her hands as opposed
- 32:03Speaker 2: to Donald Trump's hands.
- 32:05Speaker 1: That's why I do it.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Now.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Me and Ricky Smiley happen to be on the same page.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Now we're q's now, and so is dal Hugert. Q's
- 32:17Speaker 2: kind of run the adways of black radio. Okay, all right,
- 32:23Speaker 2: but we also understand what's at steak here. So no,
- 32:29Speaker 2: I haven't received a single dollar from anybody to do
- 32:33Speaker 2: what I do, and I'm doing it gladly for free.
- 32:37Speaker 2: And I'm going to freely have her on here again
- 32:41Speaker 2: and again and again. I am going to freely.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Ask soft asked questions I am.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Going to freely lob the basketball so she can slam
- 32:53Speaker 2: dunk all these questions.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Yes, I am going to freely sit here a degree.
- 32:59Speaker 1: The black vote.
- 33:00Speaker 2: The black vote is not for sale, but it is
- 33:04Speaker 2: a very important block of votes that can control the.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Outcome of this election.
- 33:13Speaker 2: And if I have my way, if it is in
- 33:15Speaker 2: within God's will, she would be the next president of
- 33:19Speaker 2: the United States. Because the alternative, here's only two people
- 33:22Speaker 2: running for president. It's Kamala Harris madame Vice President, Kamala Harris,
- 33:28Speaker 2: Donald Trump. That's that's the choice. So I don't know,
- 33:34Speaker 2: you know, and if somebody offers you ten, you should
- 33:37Speaker 2: have took it. But offer me nothing. But don't please,
- 33:41Speaker 2: don't please don't insult me and offer me ten dollars
- 33:45Speaker 2: because I'm telling you right now it called way more me.
- 33:49Speaker 1: We're gonna turn in mic on. I can't even let
- 33:56Speaker 1: that get out.
- 34:02Speaker 11: Yeah, that's just I mean, really, the brand.
- 34:05Speaker 2: And you know, and you know, look, man, they can
- 34:07Speaker 2: take their campaign money and put it into other causes
- 34:10Speaker 2: like buying ads and.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Stuff like that. It's a the ad I'm running right now, free.
- 34:18Speaker 11: Vote for common for free.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Kamala has campaign ad right now please vote. The black
- 34:24Speaker 2: vote is not for sale, but it is a very
- 34:30Speaker 2: very viable force. It really is important. And that's why
- 34:33Speaker 2: everybody wanted man. That's because, let me tell you something,
- 34:36Speaker 2: if you look at it, just look at the last
- 34:38Speaker 2: presidential election, when it got down to Michigan, Wisconsin, he
- 34:43Speaker 2: got down to Philly and Philadelphia, he got down to Georgia, Atlanta, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 2: Phillip s Faith, all.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Those the Republicans were winning out in the suburbs.
- 34:57Speaker 2: When they got to the INNY cities where we heavy
- 35:00Speaker 2: heavily populate Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, that turned the election.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And the same thing can happen this time and they
- 35:13Speaker 1: all know it.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Why do you think Donald Trump, who don't give a
- 35:17Speaker 2: damn about the National Association of Black Journalists, would even
- 35:21Speaker 2: walk his ass out there. He was out there to
- 35:25Speaker 2: try to make black people think that he's done more
- 35:28Speaker 2: for black people than any president since Abraham Lincoln. But
- 35:33Speaker 2: he can't say one thing he's done for black people,
- 35:37Speaker 2: and then got mad at the black woman for.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Asking him tough questions.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Now, anybody else that don't agree with that right there,
- 35:46Speaker 2: I understand, But just show me what he's done for
- 35:49Speaker 2: black people, so I can understand, because right now I don't.
- 35:53Speaker 2: All right, Kamala has for president. Thank you very much.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Prove this russion absolutely for free.
- 36:06Speaker 11: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll give
- 36:09Speaker 11: you an overview of what to expect at the Democratic
- 36:12Speaker 11: National Convention going down today. Right after this, you're listening
- 36:17Speaker 11: Hard Morning show. Well, the Democratic National Convention kicks off
- 36:21Speaker 11: today in Chicago. The DNC speaker schedule has not yet
- 36:25Speaker 11: been released, but so far we can't expect to see

- 37:03Speaker 11: at five point thirty pm Central daily, and the official

- 37:13Speaker 11: So there you go. If you want to watch it
- 37:15Speaker 11: live as is happening. Yes, let's go, I can't wait.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Or you can watch Fox, who will not say one
- 37:25Speaker 2: disparaging word against Donald Trump nothing. Everything he does is
- 37:31Speaker 2: just wonderful, just wonderful. And that's alarming to me.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Now how much is they paying Fox for that?
- 37:40Speaker 11: Fox had to pay a lot of money for lies.
- 37:43Speaker 2: About the election, for lies, and now they're just brother
- 37:48Speaker 2: lamar Man. I love you, Man, I got love for you, Bro,
- 37:51Speaker 2: I really do. I love a lot of the stuff
- 37:53Speaker 2: you say. I don't agree with everything, but people don't

- 54:35Speaker 13: Now it's time for the Strawberry Letter with my good
- 54:37Speaker 13: friend Shirley Strawberry.
- 54:39Speaker 11: Thank you, my good friend Junior. The subject is he
- 54:42Speaker 11: saw right through My lies. Dear Stephen, Shirley. I'm forty
- 54:46Speaker 11: one years old and I've been married thirteen years. Fifteen
- 54:50Speaker 11: years ago, I met my husband because he was friends
- 54:54Speaker 11: with my then boyfriend. My boyfriend broke up with me.
- 54:57Speaker 11: Abruptly and told me that he just needed some space.
- 55:00Speaker 11: Turned out he was having a baby with a girl
- 55:03Speaker 11: next door. His friend whom who I married, who I'm
- 55:07Speaker 11: married to now reached out to me to see if
- 55:10Speaker 11: I was okay. I was not okay. He gained by
- 55:13Speaker 11: to check on me and we talked and drank and
- 55:15Speaker 11: drank and talked. He was a perfect gentleman for about
- 55:18Speaker 11: four months, and he even suggested that I started going
- 55:21Speaker 11: out to meet other guys, so I feel like it
- 55:24Speaker 11: wasn't his intention to hook up with me. But after
- 55:27Speaker 11: a year being friendly, he asked me out to dinner.
- 55:30Speaker 11: I have been with him since he talked to my ex,
- 55:33Speaker 11: so there was no hard feelings, and then we got married.
- 55:37Speaker 11: All was forgiven, but he and my ex stopped being friends.
- 55:41Speaker 11: Fast forward to last month and my ex called me
- 55:44Speaker 11: to see if I wanted to go to a rap
- 55:46Speaker 11: concert because he knows how much I love ratchet music.
- 55:50Speaker 11: He gave them to me because he had COVID. I
- 55:53Speaker 11: went to get the tickets he left in his mailbox.
- 55:56Speaker 11: My husband was excited about going after I told him
- 56:00Speaker 11: that I won the tickets on the radio, and I
- 56:02Speaker 11: picked them up at the last minute. Because I forgot
- 56:04Speaker 11: about them. We sat in a section with a bunch
- 56:07Speaker 11: of his old friends and I told him it was
- 56:10Speaker 11: a coincidence. One of the friends asked me how my
- 56:13Speaker 11: ex was doing. I said I hadn't heard from him.
- 56:17Speaker 11: The guy looked at me and then at my husband,
- 56:20Speaker 11: who was staring at both of us. When we got
- 56:22Speaker 11: in the car, he asked where the tickets really came from.
- 56:26Speaker 11: I can't let him know the truth? Is it bound
- 56:29Speaker 11: to come out?
- 56:30Speaker 9: What do I do now?
- 56:33Speaker 11: See, this is why lies don't work for me. You
- 56:37Speaker 11: had no backup plan. You had no backup lie plan
- 56:40Speaker 11: just in case you got caught. The line game is
- 56:43Speaker 11: not for amateurs.
- 56:44Speaker 4: It is not.
- 56:45Speaker 11: And clearly you are not a pro with this. Why
- 56:48Speaker 11: did you lie about it in the first place? Why
- 56:50Speaker 11: did you lie about where you got the tickets? That
- 56:52Speaker 11: was an unnecessary lie that didn't have to be told.
- 56:57Speaker 11: Now you're in too deep and you have to keep
- 56:59Speaker 11: these lies going because you know your man isn't gonna
- 57:03Speaker 11: like it when you told it and tell him you
- 57:05Speaker 11: got the tickets from your ex. They're not even speaking anymore.
- 57:08Speaker 11: But you don't have any lies to back up your
- 57:11Speaker 11: original lie. That's why lies don't work because you can't
- 57:15Speaker 11: finish what you started without more lies. Now you're all
- 57:19Speaker 11: scared thinking someone is gonna tell your man and bust
- 57:23Speaker 11: you out. I can't help you because you know I'm
- 57:25Speaker 11: not a big proponent of lying in the first place,
- 57:28Speaker 11: and I'm just.
- 57:29Speaker 7: Not, so I will defer you.
- 57:32Speaker 11: I will defer you to my colleague and my Strawberry
- 57:35Speaker 11: letter partner, mister Steve Harvey, who we all know as
- 57:39Speaker 11: an arsenal full of convincing lies for every occasion.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Yes, yes, so Steve take it away, Yes lord, yes,
- 57:49Speaker 2: before I start this letter.
- 57:51Speaker 14: Yes, let me say this to Shirley's response, she is
- 57:55Speaker 14: free to feel how she wants to feel, and she
- 57:57Speaker 14: is actually basing her answer based on her beliefs, her
- 58:03Speaker 14: system of beliefs.
- 58:04Speaker 1: True. Therefore, let me just say that I will explain
- 58:08Speaker 1: to you all the good that was in this letter.
- 58:14Speaker 1: See you, he saw right through my life. Let me
- 58:19Speaker 1: show you a little So.
- 58:20Speaker 2: She's forty one, she been married thirteen years fifteen years ago.
- 58:23Speaker 2: You met your husband because he was friends with my
- 58:28Speaker 2: then boyfriend. My boyfriend broke up me abruptly and told
- 58:33Speaker 2: me he just needed some space. Okay, whenever a man
- 58:37Speaker 2: tells you he needs space. Ladies always know this. When
- 58:44Speaker 2: we say we need space, it is because we need space.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Cold word for freedom. Space is a cold word for freedom.
- 58:57Speaker 1: It's just a gentle way of letting you down. With
- 59:01Speaker 1: letting you down, we're gonna do that anyway. So he
- 59:05Speaker 1: needed some freedom, turned out, Now, why would he need
- 59:08Speaker 1: freedom or space? He was having a baby with the
- 59:12Speaker 1: girl next door. HM, So he just told you he
- 59:16Speaker 1: needed some space. That's true, though, but it was a lie.
- 59:21Speaker 1: Space is a cold word for freedom. His friend, who
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'm married to now, reached out to me to see
- 59:28Speaker 1: if I was okay. I wasn't.
- 59:30Speaker 2: He came by to check on me, talked. We drank
- 59:32Speaker 2: and drank and drank and talk. He was the perfect
- 59:36Speaker 2: gentleman for about four months, and he even suggested that
- 59:39Speaker 2: I started going out to meet other guys.
- 59:41Speaker 1: All of this was a lie. See, all of this
- 59:48Speaker 1: was a lie. He came back and see if he
- 59:50Speaker 1: was okay.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Nah, He came by to check the temperature in the
- 59:54Speaker 2: room after y'all drank that He was a perfect gentleman.
- 59:58Speaker 2: I don told y'all about friends because he has always
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: liked you, even when you was dating his friends, So
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: I feel like it wasn't his intention to hook up
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: with me. It's been his intention from the day he
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: went over there, little girl. But after a year being friendly,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: he asked me out to dinner.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Now guess what.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: I've been with him every since he talked to my ex,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: so there's no hard feelings. And then we got married.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: All this forgiving, but then he and my ex stopped
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: being friends. Okay, when you say all's forget all of
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: what was forgiveting?
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Who forgave who?
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: For what? Oh?
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: You forgave your ex for having the baby with his
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: next no neighbor, your husband forgave his friend for wanting
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: his ex.
- 1:00:51Speaker 11: Hang on, Steve, Hang on all right? Coming up, he
- 1:00:54Speaker 11: don't have Part two of Steve's response to today's Strubberry letter.
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: The subject is he saw right through my lies? Twenty
- 1:01:02Speaker 11: three minutes after the hour. We'll be right back. You're listening.
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: Morning show, All right, Steve.
- 1:01:09Speaker 11: Come on and recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is
- 1:01:12Speaker 11: he saw right through my life?
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Shirley's response was typical Shirley because and rightfully so, because
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Shirley is not a proponent of Lyne, so therefore, Shirley
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: believes that the truth is the best way.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: At all times. I, on the other hand, know better, so.
- 1:01:28Speaker 11: I deferred to you.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, you.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Walk up in that house. Tell the truth if you
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: want to see what happened. So let the lies begin.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Her ex boyfriend told her that they wanted to stop
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: dating abruptly because he needed space. Space is a cold
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: word for freedom. And why did he need freedom? Because
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: he got the girl pregnant next dough. He didn't want
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: to tell that I, so he told it is now
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: come to find.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Out a big one. His friend who you now married to,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: came by to see if you was okay. I was
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: not okay.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: He knew couldn't hell where you wasn't okay when he
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: went over there. He came by to check on me
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: and we talking with drink and drink and talk. That
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: he was a perfect gentleman for about four months. Then
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: he suggested he even started that. I suggested that I
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: started to meet other guys. Yeah, okay, that's because he's
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: liked you all the time. And he did suggest that
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: you started dating other guys. You didn't know he was
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: talking about him. How stupid are y'all? So I feel
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: like It wasn't his intention to hook up with me,
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: you stupid. It's been his intention the whole time, And
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: as soon as his free and dumped you, he made
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: it his point to slide over there and act friendly
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: for four damn monks. Then he asked you out to dinner.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Now get what y'all been with. Y'all been together ever
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: since he talked to my ex, so that was no
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: hard feelings. And then we got married. Oh all was forgiving.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: But he and my ex stopped being friends. So who
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: forgave who?
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: You forget that? Your ex boyfriend for having the baby
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: next door? That's a lot. Or you think your.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Ex boyfriend forgave his friend for dating his ex after
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: they broke up.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Ain't nobody?
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Ain't no dude finna forgive that? So now they ain't
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: friends no more. Fast forward. Last month, your ex called
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: you to see if I wanted to go to a
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: rap concert because he knows how much I love ratchet music.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: He gave him to me because he had COVID. Now
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: he could have gave him tickets to anybody, but he
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: called you. He called you on purpose because he was
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: hoping you would go and take your husband and be
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: sitting around all his other boy, so that was his flex.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: I still got tabs on her. And if you take
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: your ex with you, then they go see that I
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: steal running things over here. Dudes is tricky because he
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: didn't forgive nothing. Because remember him and his boy stopped talking.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: Dangn friends, so they was friendly. Theyd all shared this information.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: But na, he let your dumb ass walk right up
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: into this. I went to get the tickets and he
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: left in the mailbox. My husband was excited about going
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: after I told him I won the tickets on the
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: radio and I picked him up. At the last minute,
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I forgot about them. So he's saying, cool now to me,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: this was a good lie cause you just took the tickets.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Ain't no need of you telling him. You still talking
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: to yoik. So this was a perfectly good lie. I
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: want him on the radio. Everything working out. But then
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: when you get in the section section full of his
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: old friends. Yeah, and I told him it was a coincidence.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: One of the friends asked me how my ex was doing.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: I said I hadn't heard from him. The guy looked
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: at me and then at my husband, who was staring
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: at that both of us. When we got in the car,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: he asked me where the tickets really came from? I
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: can't let him know the truth? Is it bound to
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: come out?
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: What do I do now?
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Well, first of all, it was a good lie. You
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: told it was a good lie because you don't start
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a fire in your own house. Ain't no need to
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: tell him.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: You went over to your ex's house, got him out
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: the mailbox, he had COVID.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: He ain't no need of telling that. So I want
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: him at the radio. Was a good thing. I think
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: it was a coincidence. Was a good ass move too.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: So now we got in the car, he asked me
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: where the tickets really came from? And what did you do?
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: You did what you were supposed to do. You held
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: the lie. It was a coincidence. I want him on
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: the radio station. I can't let him know the truth.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Then you said, is it bound to come out?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Well, we don't know that. We don't know that is
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: bound to come out. For it to come out, he
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: would have to tell his friends, who already knew that
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: he had given you the tickets, because the friends asked you,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: how was he doing knowing you went over there to
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: get the tickets. Now, unless you run up into them again.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: It ain't no reason to you tell it nothing else
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: except the same lie you want them at a radio
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: station or holder.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Is it bound to come out? We don't know that.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: But when it do come out, we'll deal with it.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Did what do I do?
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: Now?
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: Wait you wait, wait wait, get your ass stella, shut
- 1:06:36Speaker 8: your damn mind, because right now that lie is working
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: and you hold the lie.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: The lie is still good as long as there's no proof.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: And right now you don't have proof. And sureley you
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: saying she gonna need more lies.
- 1:06:53Speaker 11: She don't need more lies, if somebody.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Listen to me, she just need the same lie. I
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: took us out of radio station. He was up there.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: You know they hating on us.
- 1:07:05Speaker 11: They ain't never liked you see those in the other lives.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: No, no, no, no no, they don't like him.
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: And that's it.

- 1:09:07Speaker 3: I see what you're saying, but I can see I
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: feel like this is this is the year for us.
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: It has to be this way.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: We have a better team, better defense. I mean, we
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: look great. That's all I can tell you. Now, if
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: you don't like the fact that we're going to Super Bowl,
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: just say that we don't. I don't care.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: You're free to feel whatever you want to feel. I'm
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: just the preseason. It's the hopeful part of the year
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: for everybody.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: Yes, and that's my point.
- 1:09:33Speaker 13: I'm so hopeful because I saw what's play. We ain't
- 1:09:36Speaker 13: never looked this good in preseason. Okay, So once I
- 1:09:40Speaker 13: see that, I am all in this season.
- 1:09:42Speaker 7: I'm all in.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: I'm going to get jerseys, hats, everything today. I'm getting
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: all that.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: You're gonna damn sure get a half that ain't got
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: nothing to do with y'all going to the damn super Bowl.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: You know what, You're trying to keep that hot ass
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: sun off the ball and his head of yours. You're
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: getting a hat so you can slow down that hairline
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of yours their head and back. God, your hairline looked
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: like sunset. Wait a minute, you know how the sun
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: be way back there on the horizon when you look
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: out over the water. Your hair look like your hairline
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: looks like sunset.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: I just get a half of my team.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I'm getting one. That's all okay, all right, you can
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: do that. Look like your hairline. Going to the super
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Bowl too, coming up and already packed in traveling, Steven.
- 1:10:38Speaker 11: Grandmother needs your advice. She caught her grandson on the
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: couch with a girl. She needs to know how to
- 1:10:43Speaker 11: discipline him. We'll get into it right after this. You're listening.
- 1:10:50Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 1:10:52Speaker 11: Well, Steve, this one is from Mildred Mildred in Lexington. Okay,
- 1:10:58Speaker 11: Mildred says, my grandson when is eighteen years old and
- 1:11:01Speaker 11: he has a key to my house. I came home
- 1:11:03Speaker 11: Friday afternoon and he had a girl on my living
- 1:11:05Speaker 11: room couch and they were half naked.
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: I called his.
- 1:11:09Speaker 11: Mama and told her what he did. And she was
- 1:11:11Speaker 11: very upset. My grandson had the audacity to tell me
- 1:11:15Speaker 11: that he's grown and I was wrong to call his
- 1:11:17Speaker 11: mama on him. I'm so upset with him right now
- 1:11:20Speaker 11: that I want to take his key to my house back.
- 1:11:24Speaker 11: How should I handle him disrespecting me and my house?
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Number one, take your key back from his house because
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: he disrespects.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: The house roofs. That's number one. He grown.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: You shouldn't have called his MoMA. Well, if you grown,
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: get your grown ass a hotel room. You bought a
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: key and came over to your grandmother's house. And then
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: that sense of entitlement that I'm grown. See, you know
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: what killed me by young people. They do stupid stuff
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: and then want to label it I'm grown. Well, just
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: because you've grown don't mean you free to do what
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: you want to do. I'm grown, but I can't drive
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: ninety and seventy mile POWs on without getting a ticket. Right,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: I'm grown, But if I don't come to work, the
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: ass ain't gonna pay me. Hey, I'm grown, but I can't.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: I can't take no girl over to my house and
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: be on no couch with him and somebody walk in
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: half nicked and then my statement is I'm grown. Well
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: I'm not only grown, but I'm gone to see all right,
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: I lose a lot. So you know the eighteen year
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: old boy, that has to be consequences for it. Take
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: your keyback from him. It'll never happen again. Tell him
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: he owes you an apology. See, young boys is stupid.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: They think the best defense is an offense. So now
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: he done threw it on you. You shouldn't have called
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: my mama. You shouldn't have been half nicked over my
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: house without my permission with count right now, boy, miss me,
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: with all that illogical logic, you use it right?
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: If you're grown? Where your place at? See? Grown people
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: have place?
- 1:13:00Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, I've grown.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: People have their own key. Children, children stay with other people.
- 1:13:07Speaker 11: Yes, O, all right, enough said on that one, Steve.
- 1:13:14Speaker 11: We have time for another one from Brooke and Miami.
- 1:13:17Speaker 11: Brooke says, I'm a thirty six year old woman with
- 1:13:19Speaker 11: four children. I might as well say i'm single because
- 1:13:24Speaker 11: I've been engaged for six years. My boyfriend wants a
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: big family, and he said we can get married later.
- 1:13:29Speaker 11: I told him I will have one more child if
- 1:13:32Speaker 11: he agrees to set a wedding date he said, at
- 1:13:34Speaker 11: this point, do we even need the piece of paper?
- 1:13:37Speaker 9: Is he right?
- 1:13:38Speaker 11: Is it just a piece of paper? Or do I
- 1:13:39Speaker 11: need to keep pressing him to be his wife?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Wow, listen to me.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: You have control of this situation if you quit giving
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: away your control. No, you're not having another baby. If
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: he says a wedding date, no, after you're married, you
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: can have a love date.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: That's what you want to do.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: But all of this, all of these proposals, because you
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: can have a baby and he can cancel the day. Yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: now all of this is just a piece of paper. Well,
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: it just happens to be a piece of paper that
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: you want and you have every right to get it.
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: But let me ask you something.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: Why won't he marry you? Is the question? And why
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: do you keep having these babies with no husband when
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: that's what you want?
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: Now, because you have babies without a husband doesn't make
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: you any less of a person in any way. But
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: if you want to be a wife and he is
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: the one that wants another baby, then we can have
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: another baby.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: If I'm your wife. That's just a symbol.
- 1:14:49Speaker 11: That's your requirement.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Man, excuse, just just have some standards, make it, make
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: him live up to something. Listen to me. If I'm
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: this man asked you to have a baby, that's the
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: biggest request you can make up another human being. Yeah, hell,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: that is not a bigger request in this world than
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: to get another human being, a woman to make another
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: like I can't get a piece of paper. But you
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: want a baby, boy, boy.
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: Boy?
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:15:23Speaker 11: Yeah, all right, good advite Steve. Of course, coming up
- 1:15:26Speaker 11: at twenty minutes after, we'll have more of the Steve
- 1:15:28Speaker 11: Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 1:15:31Speaker 9: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: Steve, I know you work a lot. We all know
- 1:15:37Speaker 11: that you have a lot of jobs, but have you
- 1:15:40Speaker 11: ever been this tired and overworked? An exhausted thirty eight
- 1:15:44Speaker 11: year old woman decided that she desperately needed to slow
- 1:15:47Speaker 11: down and get more rest, so she moved into a
- 1:15:51Speaker 11: retirement home community with elderly people. She worked as a
- 1:15:55Speaker 11: screenwriter in the film and television industry for eleven years,
- 1:15:59Speaker 11: and she said the amount of work and hectic schedule
- 1:16:02Speaker 11: really took a toll on her mental and physical health,
- 1:16:05Speaker 11: so she moved into a retirement community to recuperate. She
- 1:16:09Speaker 11: both said her new home offers medical treatments and all
- 1:16:13Speaker 11: of her meals. She said, it's very quiet there, and
- 1:16:16Speaker 11: she goes to bed every night around nine o'clock pm.
- 1:16:19Speaker 11: Could you see yourself doing that to relax and recharge
- 1:16:22Speaker 11: like this woman.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now, living around them old
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: ass people, that's a whole lot of work right there. People,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: you got to help hold the door, push their ass
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: downstairs for dinner time, going in and help clean them up,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: pick them up. They she'd have left her alert necklace off.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: She done failed.
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: You got to go upstairs on flow six and get
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: her up. Then you're trying to go somewhere they want
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: to go. Now you got call the medi van in here.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Now you got to help push her ass up on
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: the ramp.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: You got to make sure that the ramps around. It's
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: too much damn work, being over the work.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: They shouldn't have been there eating a tappy ocre putting
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: nine young for tappy okre put. I want to chew stuff.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: I still got teeth, I don't yellow and all this sist,
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: all this damn hospital food and stuff.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I want to hear them, old.
- 1:17:11Speaker 11: Lass, we'll have more.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I don't see the advantage of living down a bunch
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: of old myself.
- 1:17:19Speaker 11: You're listening.
- 1:17:21Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 1:17:22Speaker 11: It's time now for a round of would you rather?
- 1:17:25Speaker 11: Would you rather lose your voice when aroused? Or you
- 1:17:29Speaker 11: can't stop laughing? Junior, you're losing your voice and you
- 1:17:33Speaker 11: just can't stop laughing?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Which one I'm I'm gonna go with?
- 1:17:37Speaker 11: Lose my voice?
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: I don't want to mess it up.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: That's why I don't need to be talking, Steve.
- 1:17:47Speaker 11: Are we losing that voice? Or we can't stop laughing when?
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: That's what happens to me anyway, I lose my voice,
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: you can't talk, really, I lose that's quiet.
- 1:18:03Speaker 11: All right? Would you rather carve a pumpkin for Halloween?
- 1:18:07Speaker 11: Or would you rather decorate a Christmas tree?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Decorating a Christmas tree?
- 1:18:12Speaker 11: We do that, okay, stew.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: I'd rather carve a punkin my tree? Too big in
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: that wheelchair. Now I'm back at that old folks home
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: with that lady. Now I'm in the old folks home
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: in I don't even now I've really gotten my ass
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: over there. Now now she trying to push me around,
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: get me up on the ramp and all this. I
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: fell off that damn letter trying to decorate that tall
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: ass tree. I'll cut that punkin. It ain't gonna look
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: much like a punkin, but it it would be a
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: punkin though.
- 1:18:42Speaker 11: All right? Would you rather Snickers or would you rather Eminem?
- 1:18:47Speaker 11: Which one a Snicker's bar or Eminem?
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: I like Snick's bars, Snickers bars, Steve.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Eminem's all day, baby, really all day on vacation, man,
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: I had Eminem's.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Every night.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: I like them playing too, though. Get a peanuts though,
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: Let the milk in your mouth, Let that little hardy milk.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: Then you got that chocolate on that ding that peanut there.
- 1:19:19Speaker 11: That's like about them.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, everything to feel it every night watching movies
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: at peanut peanut Eminem. Okay, all right, all.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: Right, shaking them in your hand up, that's right, right.
- 1:19:38Speaker 11: All right? Would you rather have sex in a rocket
- 1:19:40Speaker 11: in outer space? Or would you have rather have sex
- 1:19:42Speaker 11: in a submarine? You know, under water the ocean? Which one, oh,
- 1:19:47Speaker 11: wearing a rocket going out space?
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: But I would try it in the submarine. That'd be different.
- 1:19:52Speaker 11: I do that and water, yeah, submarine submarine. Yeah, but
- 1:19:57Speaker 11: it's tightening, well, it's tightening rocket too.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I guess. Yeah.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: See, well it looked like I won't be having sex
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: going either way. I promise you I'm not getting on
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: that damn submarine. That last news by the submarine.
- 1:20:12Speaker 11: It wasn't good.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: It was not damn sure, ain't going up in out
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: of space looking back at the Earth.
- 1:20:19Speaker 11: Aren't there still some astronauts stuck in out of space?
- 1:20:22Speaker 11: They won't be back till next year now, ye.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: See, they won't even talk about that. I can't get
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: aroused if I'm of that hat.
- 1:20:31Speaker 11: Thank you, guys. Coming up next, last break of the day.
- 1:20:37Speaker 11: We'll close out the show with one and only Steve
- 1:20:40Speaker 11: Harvey right after.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: The half sex. When you cry.
- 1:20:45Speaker 11: You're listening.
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: Morning show.
- 1:20:48Speaker 11: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:20:50Speaker 11: day on this Monday, as we kick off the week
- 1:20:52Speaker 11: and the Democrats kick off their national convention in Chicago.
- 1:20:57Speaker 11: Oh wow, it's a big week, big week.
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: Yes. So once again, to clear it up with brother
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Umar's accusation that me and Ricky Smiley are promoting matter
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: Vice President Kamala Harris for ten thousand dollars, that's not true.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I am promoting her because she is the best person
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: to be in charge of this country versus the alternative,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: which is Donald Trump. Secondly, ten thousand dollars is insulting
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: to me. I don't do nothing for ten thousand, not.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: Thirty years ago, i'd have been you mad you had
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: got ten thousand dollars Steve Hard damn near done anything.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: But Tina, it's a different it's a different ballgame now.
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: So even though I got love for brother umar Man,
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: please understand that, brother, I love a lot of stuff
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: you say. Don't agree with everything you say, but we
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: found out earlier. I don't agree with nothing nobody says
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: one hundred percent. I love Martin Luther King and was
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: a follower. But but what what peaceful protest?
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I'm not with that.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: I'll protest with you and I carry the sign, but
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: if you kick me, my sign is now a weapon.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I want you to know that I'm gonna stab you
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: with the blunt end and that stick with the.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: Cardboard in it. I'm not I love Marl all that
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: protesting is the only word that's struck. I'm peaceful protesting
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: as long as you peace. Once you start throwing the rocks.
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: If the rock lay next to me, I'm throwing the
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: rock back. And just so you know how, I'm very
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: serious about I don't do anything everybody say.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I love Jesus, I am a Christian. Okay, okay, but
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: turn the other cheek.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: I'm not in agreement with that. I have never been
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: in agreement with that one. And please don't slap me.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: I'm not that good a Christian.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: I'm not. I know what Jesus said. I heard, and
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I agree with That's probably what you should do. Got it?
- 1:23:21Speaker 11: Obedience?
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Love that neighbor, his lady, stay right next door. I
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: can't stand. I'm not having trouble, So I just wanted
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: to clear that up. So brother Lumar, now my clothes remarks.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: I heard something on the internet the other day and
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: I want to repeat it. Man, it was so true.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: My resume only tells you where I've been. My resume
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: only tells you what I've done. My resume is not
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: who I am today, because my resume doesn't show you
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: where I'm going. And people understand that about your resume.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: Don't let your resume have anything to do with where
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: you're going. You ain't applying for a job my resume.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: In my life, people bring it up all the time,
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: and do you know what, I stop letting people do
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: that to me. I remember when your family broke up.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: I remember you got a divorce. I remember you did this.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: I remember that time you said that. What about that
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: time you did this?
- 1:24:29Speaker 7: Ask his X.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: You can ask my ex anything you want. That's on
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: my resume, And some of that ain't even true. Ain't
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: you ever lied on your resume? Some of the stuff
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: on my resume, I'm gonna just tell you right now
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: it ain't really.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: True because everybody talking about my resume is not the architect.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: Of the resume. Now, some people got stuff on your resume.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: You didn't put that in yourself. So why would you
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: allow your resume to affect who you are today? No,
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: I'm done with that. My resume does not define who
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: I am today. All it does is show you what
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: I did and what happened to me. That has nothing
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: to do with who I am today and where I'm going.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Every mistake I've ever made in my life, God has
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: forgiven me for He ain't holding me to none of
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: my past because I have made good with my past. Now,
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: the fact that you ain't good with my past, that's
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: on you. It's like when we don't forgive other people's mistakes.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: You know, it's people. I will he hit her that time.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: I'll never be cool with him.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: If God don forgave that man or that woman and
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: you see them shining right now, could it be because
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: God has given them a fresh start?
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Could it be because God ain't holding they resume against them.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Let me tell you something.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: If God held our resume against us, ain't none of
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: us going to heaven?
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: None of us? But you know what, He's prepared a
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: place for us called heaven.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: And since the Bible also says there's none perfect, no
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: not one, which states clearly on your resume, then since
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: He's prepared to heaven, who's gonna be in it?
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: You know who gonna be in heaven?
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: A lot of imperfect people because there's none perfect, no
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: not one. Stop letting people throw your resume in your
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: face when your resume does not say who you are
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: today or where you are going. I've been through it
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: that you can say what you want to say about
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: Steve Harvey, and you should let them say what they
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: want to say about you. Everything you've done in your past,
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: Let it stay there. It's in your past. I got
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: news for you. Them people talking about your resume, they
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: got resume too now and they resume is full of mess.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: But see, because they know you don't know they resume
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: and they don't wanna bring up their resume. But quit
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: letting people bring up your resume, because your resume is
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: not who you are today, and it is not where
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: you are going. And nobody knows where you are going,
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: but God, Almighty, and God told me he has made
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: me to prosper me, and that's what I'm gonna let
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: him do. Now read my resume if you want to.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: You're on your own, because I'm going somewhere. And praise
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: be to God for that. Those are my closes remarks today.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: Hope that helps somebody today. Hey, y'all, have a great
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: day today. Talk to God. He'd absolutely love to hear
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: from you.
