- 2:03Speaker 5: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice. Come on
- 2:06Speaker 5: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 5: radio show today?
- 2:11Speaker 3: Is it?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Everybody? On a real positive note? Today?
- 2:14Speaker 5: Is it? Today is the day? You know, when I
- 2:18Speaker 5: was in high school, you know, my mother was Sunday
- 2:21Speaker 5: school teaching until she passed. I would walk out the
- 2:24Speaker 5: door every morning on my way to school, and my
- 2:27Speaker 5: mother used to say, listen to me, son, hey, don't
- 2:30Speaker 5: forget today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. And you know,
- 2:35Speaker 5: I ain't think much of it. You know, it was
- 2:37Speaker 5: just my mama being religious. You know, Mom's spiritual woman,
- 2:40Speaker 5: So you know, I just took it as that. But
- 2:42Speaker 5: as I've gotten older, man, you know, that's registered more
- 2:45Speaker 5: and more with me. Today is the day that the
- 2:48Speaker 5: Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 2:51Speaker 2: That's pretty cool, man.
- 2:53Speaker 5: What better blessing will you get throughout the day than
- 2:57Speaker 5: the fact that he allowed you to live and see
- 2:59Speaker 5: another day? See sometimes, man, when you're young, you don't
- 3:03Speaker 5: pay no attention to that. But all you got to
- 3:05Speaker 5: do is keep living, keep watching some people that you
- 3:08Speaker 5: know not be here anymore, go to class reunions, and
- 3:12Speaker 5: they smaller, see people that you really loved. It meant
- 3:15Speaker 5: a lot till you leave this world, and all of
- 3:17Speaker 5: a sudden, man, immortality starts to matter a great deal
- 3:21Speaker 5: to you. Some of us learned this lesson sooner than others.
- 3:26Speaker 5: But I know, when you're young, man, you know you
- 3:27Speaker 5: think you're gonna be here.
- 3:28Speaker 2: For a while.
- 3:29Speaker 5: You think you got time to play around, You think
- 3:31Speaker 5: you got time to get it together, you got time
- 3:33Speaker 5: to make the mistakes. And but man, oh man, I
- 3:36Speaker 5: almost every full blown adult that I know will tell
- 3:39Speaker 5: you and have said these words right here many times.
- 3:42Speaker 5: And I want to see, the reason I'm saying is
- 3:44Speaker 5: because I want you to hear them, because you're.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Gonna use them.
- 3:46Speaker 5: If I only knew then what I know now, do
- 3:50Speaker 5: you know how many people have said those words right there,
- 3:53Speaker 5: Because in time, man, you gain so much wisdom. Oh
- 3:57Speaker 5: but it ain't like nobody didn't tell you though. If
- 4:00Speaker 5: somebody told you back then, Hey man, it's best to
- 4:02Speaker 5: buckle down now, he say, Hey man, you better quit
- 4:05Speaker 5: wasting time. Hey look, do your best at all the times,
- 4:08Speaker 5: you know, stop stop worrying about that. I'm telling you, son,
- 4:11Speaker 5: in a minute, them clubs ain't gonna mean nothing to you.
- 4:14Speaker 5: In a minute, that going out all the time ain't
- 4:16Speaker 5: gonna mean nothing to you. I can't tell you how
- 4:17Speaker 5: many times I repeat it to my kids. But man,
- 4:21Speaker 5: today is a different day, because today is the day
- 4:23Speaker 5: that the Lord has made.
- 4:25Speaker 2: So he gave you a shot today. If you woke up.
- 4:27Speaker 5: This morning, or if you're finishing your day on your shift,
- 4:30Speaker 5: he gave you a new day. Nothing bigger than the
- 4:35Speaker 5: fact that he woke you up today. Now, why don't
- 4:38Speaker 5: you do something about that? Why don't you take advantage
- 4:41Speaker 5: of it? How About if you start today? How About
- 4:43Speaker 5: if you stop hesitating today. How About if you stop
- 4:46Speaker 5: delaying it today? How about if you stop procrastinating today.
- 4:49Speaker 5: How About if you make today to day that you
- 4:51Speaker 5: go for it? I mean, man, let's all just decide today.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Let's go for it. Let's put forth a maximum effort today.
- 4:59Speaker 5: I mean, really, what you're doing. Look, man, take advantage
- 5:02Speaker 5: of this blessing of waking up, do something today. If
- 5:06Speaker 5: you would just start the process, man, start that business
- 5:09Speaker 5: you always dreamed of. Go look into that other job
- 5:12Speaker 5: you always yearn for. Go get the training you need
- 5:15Speaker 5: to get the promotion. Man, go back to school, man,
- 5:18Speaker 5: go see what you need to do to lift yourself
- 5:21Speaker 5: to the next level. Stop waking up every day seeing
- 5:24Speaker 5: how it's gonna go, and start waking up and do
- 5:26Speaker 5: something about how it goes.
- 5:28Speaker 2: If you make one step, he'll make two. But you
- 5:30Speaker 2: could people.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Talk about all the time, Man, it seemed like you're
- 5:33Speaker 5: always getting a blessing. Oh man, when you talking to
- 5:36Speaker 5: a person, listen to this. If you talking to a
- 5:39Speaker 5: person and it seems like there's always a blessing coming
- 5:43Speaker 5: his way, let me tell you what that person doing.
- 5:45Speaker 5: That person is putting one foot in front of the next.
- 5:48Speaker 5: That person is putting forth some efforts out there. And
- 5:51Speaker 5: that's the only way God can bless you. God can
- 5:54Speaker 5: only bless you with your efforts. He can only put
- 5:56Speaker 5: his finger on the thing that you are doing or attempting.
- 6:02Speaker 2: That's all he can help you with.
- 6:04Speaker 5: He there are no jobs walking up to your door,
- 6:07Speaker 5: knocking on your door. But if you beating the pavement,
- 6:10Speaker 5: if you sending in the apps, if you online scolaring
- 6:12Speaker 5: somewhere to work, somewhere to get a job.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Then God can touch somebody's heart to hire you.
- 6:17Speaker 5: But if you sitting at the house every day, smoke
- 6:20Speaker 5: every day, drinking, but you wondered why you just can't
- 6:24Speaker 5: get a job a couple times, you the one out there.
- 6:26Speaker 5: If you ain't got a job, you got to look
- 6:28Speaker 5: go get one every day. You got to go look
- 6:31Speaker 5: for one every single day. You can't take no days off.
- 6:34Speaker 5: How about today? How about today? If we decide today
- 6:37Speaker 5: is the day that we're gonna make the move. Today
- 6:40Speaker 5: is the day that we stop delaying, hesitating, procrastinating. Today
- 6:44Speaker 5: is the day that we take a step in the
- 6:46Speaker 5: direction to do something for ourselves, for our lives, for
- 6:49Speaker 5: our family, for our wives, for our children, for our community,
- 6:52Speaker 5: for our school.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Do something today, for crying out loud.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Man, stop sitting in your own life in just a
- 7:01Speaker 5: stew of misery.
- 7:03Speaker 2: In your own life. I'm gonna tell you something.
- 7:05Speaker 5: If you are in a state of confusion, if you
- 7:07Speaker 5: are troubling, if you're stuck on what to do next,
- 7:11Speaker 5: you let me tell you what's happening. You're not doing enough.
- 7:14Speaker 5: That's what it is.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Man.
- 7:16Speaker 5: See when I get in a place, man where I
- 7:19Speaker 5: don't know what the next move is, it's because i'd
- 7:23Speaker 5: un usually stalled out.
- 7:25Speaker 2: See, this is the way God works. This is the
- 7:26Speaker 2: way He's worked for me.
- 7:28Speaker 5: Every time I'm busy and I'm about the business of
- 7:31Speaker 5: always trying to live my creed, which is ABC.
- 7:35Speaker 2: My model is ABC. Always be closing.
- 7:38Speaker 5: I'm always working on something, something to close something. When
- 7:43Speaker 5: you're so busy with the business of improving yourself and
- 7:46Speaker 5: doing with yourself and becoming the best you you can be,
- 7:50Speaker 5: God is always working on your behalf, behind some scene
- 7:55Speaker 5: of something that you're in the process of tempting to close.
- 8:00Speaker 5: But because you're not doing all you can do, you're
- 8:03Speaker 5: limiting you. You are because if your decision not to
- 8:07Speaker 5: give you all and all, you're limiting the opportunities for
- 8:10Speaker 5: God to put his finger on things in touch them
- 8:12Speaker 5: on your behalf. I don't know if the average person
- 8:17Speaker 5: really understands or knows what it takes to truly be
- 8:22Speaker 5: successful or whatever level you're talking about.
- 8:25Speaker 2: But whatever that.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Level is, I don't care what a dollar amount you've
- 8:28Speaker 5: got attached to it, what level you got, if you
- 8:31Speaker 5: have made the decision that you're going to be successful.
- 8:34Speaker 5: I think that a lot of people, the average person,
- 8:36Speaker 5: does not know what that means. Whatever level you've decided
- 8:40Speaker 5: to be successful on. See, that's your level of faith,
- 8:43Speaker 5: that's where you see your life at.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Well, guess what you got.
- 8:48Speaker 5: To maximize your efforts to even get to that level.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So listen to me.
- 8:53Speaker 5: If you want to be successful at your church, if
- 8:55Speaker 5: you want to be successful in your relationship, if you
- 8:58Speaker 5: want to be successful down at the day care, if
- 9:00Speaker 5: you want to be successful at your college, if you
- 9:03Speaker 5: want to be successful on your job, guess what it's
- 9:06Speaker 5: gonna take all you got in that world to.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Become a success. I don't know why people think that.
- 9:14Speaker 5: If you don't want to be what somebody else said,
- 9:16Speaker 5: you ain't got to put forth that effort.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Now, Nah, I ain't wrong.
- 9:20Speaker 5: You've got to put forth your maximum effort at whatever
- 9:23Speaker 5: role you trying to accomplish. Lord have messy man. How
- 9:27Speaker 5: about today though, y'all, how about today? Today is a
- 9:30Speaker 5: good one. Let's make today today. Let's get out of that.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Let's get on with it. Stop hesitating, stop delaying, stop procrastinating,
- 9:38Speaker 5: start today. Watch God have something to put his finger
- 9:43Speaker 5: on there. And that's all you're trying to do. Man,
- 9:45Speaker 5: to line yourself up with God's grace. You got to
- 9:48Speaker 5: put out a lot of effort so God can put
- 9:51Speaker 5: his finger on something. You feel me today, I shall
- 9:53Speaker 5: hope you do because I'm on one today.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Let's go.

- 10:50Speaker 6: much of that became true in your life.
- 10:52Speaker 5: We all of it, All of it, every sentence, everything,
- 10:56Speaker 5: every old person ever whispered to.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Me is not just it's gospel. If the Lord say

- 11:16Speaker 5: gonna jump out the pot into the fire. Okay, go ahead,
- 11:22Speaker 5: just keep on getting up in the morning. Stop saying
- 11:25Speaker 5: what you ain't gonna ever do. Stop saying that, because
- 11:31Speaker 5: you're gonna do that very thing. I remember I heard
- 11:34Speaker 5: my brother's talking one day, my older brothers. I was
- 11:37Speaker 5: about ten, my brother eleven years older than me, so
- 11:41Speaker 5: you know, he's twenty one. Him and hit my older
- 11:44Speaker 5: brother was talking about girls one day, and it was
- 11:48Speaker 5: very descriptive about what they was doing out there. One
- 11:51Speaker 5: of them said something that he had done to a girl.
- 11:55Speaker 5: And I heard him and I said, oh, oh, he said,
- 12:00Speaker 5: listen to me, he said, what did you I'll never
- 12:03Speaker 5: do that. He said, son, listen to stop saying what
- 12:06Speaker 5: you never going to because you're gonna do that and
- 12:09Speaker 5: a whole lot more. Okay, And you know what, he
- 12:13Speaker 5: was right, He was so.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Right the very thing that I was saying.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Eh, it's the very thing that I began to live for.
- 12:22Speaker 5: So yeah, man, them old savings come in handy and
- 12:26Speaker 5: my old saying, you reap what your soul all that
- 12:30Speaker 5: you're gonna get it. Be careful when you dig a
- 12:34Speaker 5: hole because you might have to dig too.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, all of it. It's just all of it, Junr.
- 12:40Speaker 2: It's coming hell out high water.
- 12:43Speaker 1: The one you always sasty a hit dog if you.
- 12:47Speaker 5: Throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one
- 12:49Speaker 5: that hollers, the one you hit.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
- 12:55Speaker 7: And you know when you say these cliches and sayings,
- 12:57Speaker 7: do you all say it to your kids now?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Because you know we were you now.
- 13:02Speaker 2: You know what, man?
- 13:03Speaker 5: My son paid me a compident, he said, Dad, everything
- 13:07Speaker 5: used to tell me in that garage and down in
- 13:09Speaker 5: that movie theater.
- 13:10Speaker 2: He said, Man, I.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Wish i'd listened to you because everything you said was true,
- 13:14Speaker 5: because I told my sons. At one point I said,
- 13:17Speaker 5: I ain't gonna have to spank y'all after a while,
- 13:19Speaker 5: because life gonna do it for you. What they told
- 13:24Speaker 5: me one time, said dad, if I could just go
- 13:26Speaker 5: in that garage and get a spanking instead of what's
- 13:28Speaker 5: happening to me right now, go and get that spanking.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Man, get it over all right? Coming up at thirty
- 13:39Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, we will hear from the
- 13:41Speaker 1: nephew if he runs that prank back right after this.
- 13:45Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:52Speaker 6: Rocket and Redfinn found that most of us want stronger
- 13:55Speaker 6: connections in our neighborhoods. What about a quarter of us
- 13:57Speaker 6: worry we're bothering someone if we try to start a conversation.
- 14:00Speaker 6: The thing is real connection doesn't come from big gestures.
- 14:03Speaker 6: It comes from everyday moments, small stuff like grabbing a
- 14:06Speaker 6: package for your neighbor or holding the door. So don't
- 14:08Speaker 6: overthink it, wait, smile, say hi, because it's the small
- 14:12Speaker 6: things that end up adding up to something much bigger.
- 14:14Speaker 6: Find a neighborhood you'll love at redfin dot com.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It is time now to run that prank back with
- 14:21Speaker 1: the nephew. Nephew, what you got, what ignorance do you

- 16:23Speaker 9: No? No, no, you guys are not actually going to

- 26:02Speaker 1: Is there a way to stop his dad's jokes?
- 26:06Speaker 5: I think what he needed to do is if he
- 26:10Speaker 5: calling you minute. Man, that'll be the motivation to move out.
- 26:12Speaker 5: You gotta do better, though, You gotta work your way
- 26:19Speaker 5: up to three five. You gotta get yourself together.

- 33:02Speaker 5: disheartened from the previous you know, two hundred to.
- 33:07Speaker 7: The This year is better though. It gives everybody a

- 34:33Speaker 5: do nothing.
- 34:36Speaker 2: I have a loss, So I just don't break the law.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I don't touch no white kids.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I was just a black and white thing.
- 34:46Speaker 5: I don't get the brainwail. We're throwing them on me
- 34:49Speaker 5: asking me to hug him. Jump up in mom, I can't.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Back folded because what because what se.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Because it is right here. Look Michael catching it.

- 35:56Speaker 1: Though she was performing, she did this really sexy pose
- 35:59Speaker 1: and a metal chair on stage. When she leaned back
- 36:02Speaker 1: a bit too far, she fell. Okay, that could happen,

- 56:51Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, My best friend works as a bartender
- 56:54Speaker 1: at a popular restaurant, and she introduced me to the
- 56:57Speaker 1: new manager of the restaurant recently. He's middle aged, handsome, tall,
- 57:02Speaker 1: and he has a nice beard. I was hooked on
- 57:04Speaker 1: him because of how well he carried himself, and I've
- 57:07Speaker 1: always been attracted to older men. This restaurant has the
- 57:11Speaker 1: best Sunday brunch and I'm always there with my bottomless
- 57:15Speaker 1: mimosas and a few of my girlfriends of my other girlfriends.
- 57:18Speaker 1: There's always a great DJ there, and on this particular Sunday,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I've been on the mimosas all afternoon. I stayed on
- 57:26Speaker 1: the dance floor, twerking and having a good time. I
- 57:29Speaker 1: locked eyes with the manager a couple of times while
- 57:32Speaker 1: I was dancing, so I figured he was interested in
- 57:35Speaker 1: me and liked what he saw. So when I went
- 57:37Speaker 1: to the restroom, I walked past him and asked him
- 57:40Speaker 1: if he saw something he liked because I caught him staring.
- 57:44Speaker 1: He told me that I'm a beautiful woman, but I've
- 57:46Speaker 1: had too much to drink and he's not serving me
- 57:49Speaker 1: any more alcohol. I was embarrassed that he only saw
- 57:52Speaker 1: me as a drunk thought unlike my friends, I can
- 57:56Speaker 1: handle my liquor and I was having a great time
- 57:59Speaker 1: and being play Something clicked in me and I started
- 58:03Speaker 1: cursing him out for misjudging me and being rude. He
- 58:06Speaker 1: asked my best friend to come over and calm me
- 58:09Speaker 1: down and put me out. She tried to diffuse the situation,
- 58:13Speaker 1: but then the manager said, I'm a disgrace to women
- 58:17Speaker 1: my age. My friend told him that his rudeness was
- 58:21Speaker 1: uncalled for, and he fired her right then and there.
- 58:24Speaker 1: He put us both out. The job was great, extra
- 58:28Speaker 1: income for her because of the great tips on Sundays.
- 58:31Speaker 1: She's upset with me and I don't know how to
- 58:35Speaker 1: fix this. Please help. Yeah, this is a real mess
- 58:39Speaker 1: right here. You made your girl lose her job. Did
- 58:42Speaker 1: you say something clicked in you and you started cursing
- 58:45Speaker 1: him out, But you say you can handle your liquor.
- 58:49Speaker 1: None of that goes together, okay, because here's a newsflash
- 58:53Speaker 1: for you. You can't handle your liquor. What clicked in
- 58:57Speaker 1: you was drunk. Okay, you were drunk. You were just
- 59:02Speaker 1: displaying drunk behavior. And despite the fact that you think
- 59:06Speaker 1: you can handle your liquor, you can't. You really can't.
- 59:10Speaker 1: So the first thing I would do is stop drinking. Okay,
- 59:15Speaker 1: you gotta stop because you can't handle it. Then I
- 59:17Speaker 1: would apologize to my friend. I really would. This is
- 59:21Speaker 1: your best friend. You should apologize because you were acting
- 59:23Speaker 1: up in her place of business. Okay, then I would
- 59:26Speaker 1: go and apologize and talk to her former boss. Please
- 59:30Speaker 1: be sober when you do this. I mean, nothing may
- 59:32Speaker 1: come of this, but you got to try and talk
- 59:34Speaker 1: to him. It talked him into giving your friend her
- 59:36Speaker 1: job back, you know, saying that it was your fault.
- 59:39Speaker 5: You know.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah blah. That doesn't work. You help
- 59:43Speaker 1: her look for another job. I mean, that's the least
- 59:46Speaker 1: you could do. When she gets another job, Please you
- 59:50Speaker 1: stay as far away from it as possible. Okay, do
- 59:54Speaker 1: not go anywhere near it, you know, stop drinking.
- 59:59Speaker 5: All right, Steve, my bestie got fired because of me,
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: pretty much says it all.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: All of this is a.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: Direct result of your behavior. From the top of the
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: letter to the bottom. I'm going to also show you
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: you're not exactly what you think you are.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: You're just not. And well it's because of one reason.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: And here we go.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: You got to introduce you You got a friend that's
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: a bartender at this restaurant, and you got to introduce
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: he was she was at work, and you got introduced
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: to his manager, tall guy, handsome, and you like old
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: of me and nice bed you was hooked on him,
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: you know, because of how I cad himself. You know,
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: I got that you've always been attracted to older men,
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: got it that. But the restaurant, I got the best
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Sunday brunch and I'm always there with and you said
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: my with my bottomless mimosas and a few of my
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: other girl friend. See, when you care about any event
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: because of the sheer amount of alcohol that they allow
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: you to consume, it's a tall tale that something didn't
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: go wrong because you weren't just that with your friend.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: You was there because of the bottomless mimosas. Then they
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: got a great DJ. And on this particular Sunday, I
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: had been on the mimosas all afternoon. See, and that's
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: another deb When you say you've been on something, you know,

- 1:02:11Speaker 2: The mimosas I stayed on the dance.
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: Floor, tworking and having a good time. What, girl, you
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: don't see this. Tworking is never for the twork for
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: the tworkirls. It's for the man observing the twerk.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: That's who it's for.

- 1:04:04Speaker 5: a girlfriend. This bartend that popular restaurant introduced her to
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: the new manager. She liked the manager. He's older, tall,
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: way to wedge, calve self. And you know she'd always
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: been like attracted to older men. Uh, this particular Sunday,

- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Where she pointed, Ah, really excellent brunch.
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: And she said, on this particular Sunday, I'm always there
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: with my bottomless mimosas, which means she cares about drinking
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: to the point where there is no end. This is
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: a bottomless drink. I drink till I can't even pull
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: it in my mouth no more. She pulling a drinking
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: and it's just running down the tracks of her mouth
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: all of her blouse because she just can't put no
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: more in her there, because she can't pull no more
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: down there.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: It's but see, the.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: The Mimosas might be bottomless for your your your your
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: intake of home is not. And so what happened was
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: this particular Sunday, she had been on the Mimosas all afternoon.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: We said this earlier. When you are on something that's successive,
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: you own craft.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I was down there talking to them.
- 1:05:16Speaker 5: I was cussing them out our own one. You know,
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: when you own something that's you accessive. So I was
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: on the Mimosas all afternoon. I stayed on the dance
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: floor twerking and have a good good time.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Twerking is for other.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: People, because I didn't know that twerking.
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: Is not for the twerker. It's for the twerk key.
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: It's for the herd putting who season Because you can't
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: even see your doing all that.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: But if you had by a mirror.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: Yeah, you bout the mirror, but the mirror ain't on
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: the dance floor, so it's you looking no, no, you
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: the only reason you looking back there is to see who.
- 1:05:55Speaker 13: Looking breaking way. Not for you, It's for the not twerker,

- 1:06:10Speaker 13: for a talking to heaven good.
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: I locked eyes with the manager a couple of times
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: while I was dancing slash twerking, so I figured he
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: was interested in me and like what he saw. Twirking
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: is folk showing.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: Working. Not to dance is an exhibition. Zippity.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: You're right about that.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: So when I went to the restroom, I walked past him,
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: and after he saw something he liked because I caught
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: him standing. He told me, I'm a beautiful woman, but
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: I've had too much to drink, and he's not serving
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: me anymore alcohol because he couldn't believe this little fine
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: chick was out here doing all of this because you
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: was doing the most, because your bottomless man was out
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: there own their momosas you done drank so many emosas
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: your judgment is impaired. That's what people don't understand about alcohol.
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: It impairs your judgment. So now what you thought was
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: out there was cute was way too much Now the
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: man gone, wow, this fine sister right here just got
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: herself looking crazy. So he told you he ain't serving
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: you no more alcohol. You ain't getting no more.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: You have had your laugh.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: Mimosa, you can't ain't more bottle.
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: So then she said, I was embarrassed that he only
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: saw me as a drunk thought.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Oh, then you.
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: Know why you didn't see yourself as a drunk thought
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: because you was drunk.

- 1:07:46Speaker 5: You think you killing it, But he going, this chick
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: is way too much. Unlike my friends, I can handle

- 1:07:58Speaker 5: drunken thought, and this was you I unlike my friends,
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: I can handle my liquor.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: And I was having a great time and being playful.

- 1:08:21Speaker 5: in your system, and the rest of it ain't even
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: in your blood.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: So now as you're.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: Twerking and having fun as more of it enters the
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: blood stream.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: Now you weave more playful.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Than you can touch, you, bully Harvey.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: It's in the blood system now you o eight. You

- 1:08:54Speaker 5: I'm I can handle my liquor and having a great time.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: Something clicked in me. You don't know what that was.
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: It was different, mimosas. Something clicked in me in I
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: started cussing him out from misjudging me and being rude.
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: He didn't misjudge you. And yeah, boy, girl, I gotta
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: tell you something. You really handle your liquor. You let
- 1:09:18Speaker 5: your liquor drive the car. You let your liquor do
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: all the talking. You had your looker out there handling
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: the dance routine.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: That liquor had your twerking cussing fighting.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: He asked my best friend to come over and calm
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: me down and put me out. She tried to diffuse
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: the situation, but then the manager said, I'm a disgrace
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: to women my age.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Whoo.
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: My friend told him his rudeness was uncalled for, and
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: he fired her right then and there.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: He put us both out.
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: The job was extra income for her because she has

- 1:11:26Speaker 5: dunker and represent them because that's you know, the YouTubers,
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: and it's some cats out there dunking their basketball man.
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: And I just think it would be more exciting because
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: the stars don't participate in the dunk contest. The guys
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: that are in the dunk contests are just ridiculous. That dude,
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: this last dunk contest. I may not watch NBA All
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: Star Game no more again again. No, not after that trash.
- 1:11:53Speaker 11: No, no, it was it was less than average.
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: I mean, when you got a dunker, just run up
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: to the goal and just dunk it in the middle
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: of the paint.
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: That was just I was like, what is that? That
- 1:12:05Speaker 11: was just nothing. He just went up in the middle
- 1:12:07Speaker 11: of the paint like he tried to take off from
- 1:12:08Speaker 11: the free throw.
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: Line, but it wasn't from the free throwing nothing.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: Nothing is just eight feet in front of the basket
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: and dunk and then started dancing, dance like he had
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: just he had it from half court.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: Yeah, three point contest, fine, everybody, little three point content
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: he gained.
- 1:12:27Speaker 11: You know, the All Star Game. I liked the format
- 1:12:30Speaker 11: because the World versus USA. That was a great format.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: Now you know, it's like a round robin.
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: He got stars and stripe and then you know, two
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: American teams and then you got the World team and
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: then you know they all play a round robin, you know,
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: win one, lose one, and then they played the championship game,
- 1:12:45Speaker 6: which is fine because they were competitive.
- 1:12:47Speaker 11: You know, they were very competitive because the.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: World thought they had it.
- 1:12:50Speaker 9: Now.
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: I got to give it to Victor Winbin Yama. That
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: boy played like it was a regular season game. He
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: was trying to goo thirty yet the win. Ben Yama
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: was out there giving it his all.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: I'll talk about it.
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: Do he know it's supposed to be like frially good competition.
- 1:13:03Speaker 11: Now this is for the NBA Finals check.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: You need to get it back to where it was
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: firey competition. That's say, that was as close as they've
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: done in a while.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: Yeah, they were doing that. You know, one twelve minute quarter, fine,
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: you know, win, cool, and they take your total points
- 1:13:20Speaker 6: and then that's who decide who played the championship game.
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: But it was really a good all star game over
- 1:13:26Speaker 6: and off. Now that slam Dunk contest, we're gonna have.
- 1:13:29Speaker 11: To figure out something.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Now we're gonna have the Lord a rim or something.
- 1:13:34Speaker 11: We don't need to be at ten feet, we need
- 1:13:35Speaker 11: to be at nine. If we can't, we just something.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: Let some kids do it.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Let's just doctor Jay.
- 1:13:43Speaker 11: This is just like just people who use a dunck
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: of the pad, doctor j Kareem. But let them go
- 1:13:47Speaker 11: out there. The legends are done.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Just something the legends coming up. At the top of
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: the hour, women on social media needs some advice. She says,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: how do I stop work fridge food thieves? We'll talk
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: about right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, this is from Lisa on Steve
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Harvey FM. Lisa says, no matter how many jobs I've had,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: they've all had one constant. Every place seemed to have one,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: seems to have one person who steals someone else's food
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: from the company fridge. I saved money by prepping my meals.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: And of course, no matter how I label the thing,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: it's always missing when I go to eat. I thought
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: about sabotaging it somehow, but that could end up going
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: really wrong. Any ideas.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Food in there?
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Well, shet it.
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: I'm gonna put something in there, but I'm gonna put
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: a little something in the food.
- 1:14:46Speaker 11: Would that's what she said?
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: She didn't want to do that go really wrong. Yeah,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: it ain't bad.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: It ain't bad. We're gonna find out who you don't
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: know who got it?
- 1:14:59Speaker 11: Yeah, going to the bathroom.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Did you hear what she said? Did you not hear
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: when she said, I thought about sabotaging it somehow, but
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: that could end up going really wrong.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Did you hear that? Yeah?
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: Well, see that's how you find out what's going on. Now,
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: if you don't want it to go really wrong, what
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: are you doing it for?
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: She just wants them to stop stealing her food.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: No, No, I want you to steal it.
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: I wanted to go horribly wrong, and I want to
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: realize that it's you.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Someone should say maybe I shouldn't do that anymore.
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: And I'm talking about put that extra strift x lax
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: in it. I'm talking about what way you stand up?
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: You don't even know what's happening.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: What is this extra I'm talking about?
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: It ain't You really don't even know what the hell go?
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: You just put off my legs?
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: What is that smell?
- 1:16:04Speaker 9: What is that? Oh?
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: God? Okay, guys, I think we got it. We're gonna
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: move on. I hope that helps you. Lisa, it didn't know.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: You didn't I know. I was just trying to food
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: unlike them. All right, we do have time for another one.
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: This is from Jatika. Well, this is from It says
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: my wife's sister, Jatika is close with our children. They
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: adore her because she pays attention to them and makes
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: time to do things with them. This causes a bit
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: of jealousy with my wife's other sister, Jackie. Jackie is
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: constantly trying to trying too hard to get close to
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: the kids by purchasing gifts for them all the time. However,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: she said, my kids aren't grateful. I've tried to explain
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: to her that just doing stuff with the kids like
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Jaqikatika does will go a lot further than any gift,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: but she just doesn't seem to understand that. Again, any suggestion, she.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Don't give it. What your key to doing? She want
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: to do it way?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Jackie, any suggestion she wants to know? Can you
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: help her out at all?
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: No, you just got beat out. The kids don't like you.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: They don't like their other aunts.
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what it is. I think we didn't find
- 1:17:24Speaker 5: out what the problem is. Kid and kids tell the truth.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, they do.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: See.
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: I didn't never want to go over my aunt's Agnes
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: house because it's stink.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: So you did what.
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: My mama said, how come you don't never want to
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: go over Aunt Agnes's house? I said, cause it's stink.
- 1:17:48Speaker 5: She said, you don't say that. I was about eight.
- 1:17:51Speaker 5: She said, you don't say that, and I'm gonna tell
- 1:17:53Speaker 5: your daddy. My daddy came home. She told my daddy.
- 1:17:56Speaker 5: My daddy said, you do stink over there. So I
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: had I had all the back up my knee verifiat. Yeah,
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: my daddy said it do stink over there, and that's
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: why I don't want to go, because I'm ate. What
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: can I do about it? I don't know where it's
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: coming from. I just know the whole house steak. I
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: think it's my uncle Rogers though, so because it's his
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: think all the time.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Yeah, so did that get you out of going?
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: I had to go anywhere, and you better not say
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: nothing about it. It's hard when you ate, when you
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: go into places you can't catch your breath because when
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: you ate, you don't know how to hide that.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: You'll close your mouth.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Ignorant show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: All right, we gotta say happy Marty Grod to everybody. Arla.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Of course, New Orleans is close to your heart. Today
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: is yet Tuesday. You know your husband Tash is from
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: New Orleans. What are you guys doing today? You're making gumbo?
- 1:19:08Speaker 7: What you're doing, girl, We're gonna eat some gumbo. We're
- 1:19:11Speaker 7: gonna go out to eat. We do this every year.
- 1:19:13Speaker 7: We eat po Boys, gumbo, jakyries, will drink some dakyries,
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: have our beads on. Since you know we're not in
- 1:19:21Speaker 7: New Orleans, so you know, you know we'll have a
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: good time that way. It has some keen cake, something
- 1:19:27Speaker 7: like that King cake with the man in it.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: It's a baby, it's not a man.
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: A man.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: I'll tell you what.
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: If you get a slice of it, you bite into
- 1:19:38Speaker 5: it and you don't know what's in there.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: I feel like a man in there here?
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: And what does that mean? When the baby's in the cake?
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: You have to buy the cake next time?
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Yeah? You got a host of cake?
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that's okay.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Not really all.
- 1:20:00Speaker 5: I like Marti grawl, but it ain't never been not I
- 1:20:03Speaker 5: and grow up with it, so I don't understand the
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: people that grew up in it though they Yeah.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: Yeah, because I'm telling you now. My husband he used
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: to get out of.
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: School when he was little growing up, and he doesn't
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: understand why everybody in the country is not out of school.
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: I'm like, what, it's not a national holiday like that.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Okay, So one more time. The baby in the cake
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: means what.
- 1:20:25Speaker 7: Good luck, prosperity, and it also means that you have
- 1:20:29Speaker 7: to get King cake connection.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Oh really? Yeah? All right, coming up, we'll play another round.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: It would you rather right after this? You're listening to
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: Rocket and Redfin found that most of us want stronger
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: connections in our neighborhoods. What about a quarter of us
- 1:20:49Speaker 6: worry we're bothering someone if we try to start a conversation.
- 1:20:51Speaker 6: The thing is, real connection doesn't come from big gestures.
- 1:20:55Speaker 6: It comes from everyday moments, small stuff like grabbing a
- 1:20:58Speaker 6: package for your neighbor or holding the door. So don't
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: overthink it, Wait, smile, say hi, because it's the small
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: things that end up adding up to something much bigger.
- 1:21:06Speaker 11: Find a neighborhood you'll love at redfin dot com.
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: It's time now for a round it would you rather?
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Would you rather a date night filled with laughter or
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: just deep conversation.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Laughter, loughter, Hey, you.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Don't want to get deep with it?
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: No, get deep and Jackie get deep. It feel like
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: I ain't No, I ain't done nothing in life. Feel like.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Loser. It's a personal front on you. Another thing, all right?
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Would you rather travel all the time but never have
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: a permanent residence or call to call home? Or live
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: in your dream home but never travel nothing home?
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: You just keep moved. I'd rather have be I got
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: heal b all right? If you got.
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: Travel, They're going a lot of people. Goodn't noway, it
- 1:21:59Speaker 5: was called homelessness. You did both of living in the car,
- 1:22:05Speaker 5: I was traveling in my home everywhere?
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: Oh my will? All right? Would you rather have wow?
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: Would you rather have a talking toilet? Or would you
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: rather have a talking bridge?
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: My toilet had a bush shocking news.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Toilet.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: I didn't work to day. My toilet in the shut
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: up talking Sorry, ladies, put it in there. Not today? Okay, okay,
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: that's what.
- 1:23:01Speaker 11: Can you talk?
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: Can you go to the other bathroom?
- 1:23:07Speaker 8: But here go here you go on five minutes later,
- 1:23:10Speaker 8: I know you ain't back in here.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: You ain't. Guys, what the hell is going on? Man?
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: You're good to move on.
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: To What does you take on?
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather have to clean the streets
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: in the French Quarter after Marti Gras or the streets
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: in Times Square after New Year's Eve?
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not cleaning neither one. You gotta pick one.
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: I'm picking at that Time Square is a mess. Yeah,
- 1:23:53Speaker 5: I'm not cleaning up nothing. It's it's just not what
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: I do.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Okay, all right? Speaking of Marty Grub, would you rather
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: go to Brazil's Carnival or New Orleans Brazil by myself. Surprise, surprise,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: if I go to Brazil.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Lord, yeah, already were coming back.
- 1:24:18Speaker 5: You do know you're going to hell right now?
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: All right, that's today's rounded. Would you rather thank you? Guys?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Coming up in forty nine minutes after it's our last
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: break of the day, and we'll close out the show
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: with the one and only Steve Harvey. Right after this
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:41Speaker 7: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:24:44Speaker 7: after you mop?
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Power Mop gives you a deeper clean you can see
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: and feel.
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: Unlike stream mops, Swart for power Mop absorbs more dirt
- 1:24:53Speaker 7: and locks it away even and hard to reach places like.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Behind the toilet.
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: The new micro Straub deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning
- 1:25:02Speaker 7: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No
- 1:25:07Speaker 7: more dirty floors. Try to swift for power Mob. Love
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: it or your money back?
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: All right, Steve? Here we are, last break of the day.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: Ye And closing remarks, Hey, you know.
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: I want to talk a moment for just about the
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: passing of one of the great civil rights movement figures
- 1:25:29Speaker 5: in rev and Jesse Jackson. Now listen to me. It's
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: not that we were exceptionally close. It's not that we
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: talked often. It was none of that. It's just that
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: I knew him, and I knew him sometimes on a
- 1:25:46Speaker 5: personal level. We had many conversations about rights and movements
- 1:25:52Speaker 5: and protesting, pushing and all of these things. But we
- 1:25:58Speaker 5: also had many personal conversations. I remember the last time
- 1:26:02Speaker 5: I really sat down and talked with him. We were
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: at a gem in Chicago together when I was living
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: in Chicago, and he walked up to me. I was
- 1:26:09Speaker 5: in the in the weight room, and we sat down
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: and we had a conversation.
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: So I'm not.
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: Saying that Jesse Jackson and I were close. You know
- 1:26:16Speaker 5: how a lot of people when somebody passes and all
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: of a sudden, they talk about how close they were
- 1:26:21Speaker 5: in friends. That wasn't the case. But I knew him,
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: and I've known him for a long time, a long
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: long time. I've set in meetings with him, I've been
- 1:26:33Speaker 5: in protest with him. I've still shoulders to shoulder with him.
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: Before I learned from him, I watched him. Now, look
- 1:26:45Speaker 5: in these days and times, we have a system that's
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: set up now where we always try to find what's
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: wrong with a person, And you know, instead of just
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: talking about their accolades and what they accomplished. So that
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: I'll let them trollers say whatever they want to say,
- 1:27:03Speaker 5: But let me tell y'all something. In his prime, Jesse
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: Jackson was a bad man. Jesse Jackson made an impact
- 1:27:12Speaker 5: on the movement. Jesse Jackson was at the forefront of
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: so many things, trying to push the policies and the
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: agenda of black people forward. He was with Al Sharpton
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: many times, he was with doctor King, that's how far
- 1:27:33Speaker 5: back he goes. He was with Abernathy. I've seen him
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: with some of the top black leaders out there, Andrew,
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: Andrew Young, everybody. I've watched this man and he was effective.
- 1:27:54Speaker 5: And I think I said this earlier, but the speech
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: he gave at the eighty Fourmocratic Convention was one of
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: the greatest speeches ever given at a political convention anywhere.
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: Had he given that speech early on, that man could
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: have ran for president. He was that great of an orator.
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: But man, he was just there. Now, listen, everybody make mistakes.
- 1:28:28Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure when my life is over, h people
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: can go down through a list of mistakes I made.
- 1:28:35Speaker 5: I could actually do it for you. I could actually
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: do it for you to save you the time. But
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: you know what, who hasn't who hasn't made mistakes? Which
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: one of you, which one of you with the rock
- 1:28:56Speaker 5: cocked back in your hand before you throw it? Which
- 1:29:01Speaker 5: one of you ain't made the mistakes? And so in
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: my closing, I just want to say thank you to
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: Revend Jackson for all that he accomplished with Rainbow Push
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: the movement, with all of the protests he organized, with
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: all of the meetings. This dude had a global impact.
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: Do you know that Jesse Jackson could go get hostages
- 1:29:30Speaker 5: out when they wouldn't even listen to them white presidents?
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: Do you know they would listen to this black man?
- 1:29:36Speaker 5: Do you know that Jesse Jackson could go over there?
- 1:29:39Speaker 5: Let me, I'm gonna tell you right now, right now,
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: there's a music producer right now that is at home
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: because of Jesse Jackson because he took hisself overseas, got
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: involved in some drugs in the country that don't play that,
- 1:29:58Speaker 5: and they had him. Jesse Jackson went and got it.
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: I can't tell you the hostages this man. I wish
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: I could think of the names of all of it.
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: But Jesse Jackson was a hostage negotiate, the negotiator for
- 1:30:11Speaker 5: the families, and he went on behalf of the United States,
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: whether they asked him to or not, and he got
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: it done. I ain't seen Jesse go over there and
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: not come back with a person.
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: Yet. He was effective, y'all.
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: And for those young people that never knew who he
- 1:30:29Speaker 5: was and never got to experience some of the great
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: movements he was involved in. You know, look, just you
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: got Google. You count on that so much, you know,
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: just google the man, Google the great accomplishments of Jesse Jackson,
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: and you gonna see how long that page is.
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: But Jesse Jackson, man, he deserves the honor. I think.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: Let me see.
- 1:30:57Speaker 5: No, the last time I talked to Jesse was actually
- 1:30:59Speaker 5: what I did your friend's funeral, Greg Calhoun passed in Montgomery, Alabama.
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: Do you know Jesse Jackson came to that funeral because
- 1:31:08Speaker 5: my buddy Greg Calhoun used to actually work for Jesse Jackson.
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: And that's actually the last time I talked to Jesse
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: was at Greg Calhoun's funeral down in Montgomery, Alabama. Man,
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: that's the last time I talked to Jesse. Just a
- 1:31:24Speaker 5: good dude, man, he was a great man. He was
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: effective in the civil rights movement. And if you want
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: to say something about Jesse Jackson, say that because Jesse
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: Jackson was a great brother man. Condolences goes out to
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: the whole Jackson family and everybody rainbow pushing all of
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: that man and just everybody didn't know him.
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: Man, Hey, y'all, have a great day today. Talk to God.
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: He'd absolutely loved to hear from you here. All right,
