- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a suit giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in the stubs. Good listen to mother
- 0:27Speaker 1: for stay. I don't join by joining me. You gotta turn,
- 1:05Speaker 1: hur you go. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You haven't got to turn them out to turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water to the water. Go. Come, come on your thing.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I shore will a good morning everybody. You
- 2:05Speaker 1: are listening to the voice? Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man
- 2:12Speaker 1: o man o man? How good is God to me?
- 2:15Speaker 1: And part of the mission and the reason that I
- 2:18Speaker 1: have a radio show is to become a share of
- 2:22Speaker 1: more and more of a share of you know. I
- 2:26Speaker 1: used to hear my mother say it to me all
- 2:28Speaker 1: the time. But God blesses you to become a blessing.
- 2:31Speaker 1: And I think the more you understand that about yourself,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I think the more blessings will flow your way. I
- 2:37Speaker 1: think that once you understand the principle that you know.
- 2:42Speaker 1: But it's kind of tied together with some other scriptures,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and I'm not too knowledgeable about them, of course, as usual,
- 2:48Speaker 1: but I do know what I've heard you know, and
- 2:52Speaker 1: you know if you look at something simple as do
- 2:54Speaker 1: unto others as you would have them do unto you,
- 2:58Speaker 1: wouldn't you want somebody to help you you needed help.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I just know how to get it down there to
- 3:04Speaker 1: where I've been able to understand it. If there's a
- 3:08Speaker 1: scripture similar that it says do unto others as you
- 3:11Speaker 1: would have them do unto you, or if that's you know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: in a prayer, would not you want somebody to help
- 3:21Speaker 1: you if you needed help? You've heard you reap what
- 3:27Speaker 1: you sow. Do you understand that if you so discord,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that discord is gonna come your way. That if you hate,
- 3:37Speaker 1: hate gonna come your way. If you blog nothing but
- 3:41Speaker 1: negative comments about people, your life will be filled with negativity.
- 3:46Speaker 1: If all you do is talk about people, then guess
- 3:49Speaker 1: what somebody got to turn that gun around and talk
- 3:51Speaker 1: about you. See, it just stands to reasons. So what
- 3:56Speaker 1: I've learned in my life and through all the trials
- 4:00Speaker 1: and tribulations that I've had, is to take those lessons
- 4:05Speaker 1: and share them with people in case you ain't heard
- 4:08Speaker 1: it from somebody else. See sometimes and the reason it
- 4:11Speaker 1: seems like I'm redundant at times, is what I am
- 4:15Speaker 1: is because I'm always trying to find a different way
- 4:19Speaker 1: to say the same thing. Because it's a funny thing. Man,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you got to hear it a certain way for it
- 4:24Speaker 1: to click with you. How many times have I heard
- 4:30Speaker 1: a saying and then I heard it a different way
- 4:34Speaker 1: that it clicked with me? You know, I've heard of
- 4:39Speaker 1: this saying right here, Remember this now, everybody's not happy
- 4:43Speaker 1: for you. We've all heard that, right, everybody's not happy
- 4:47Speaker 1: for you. Well, that's very simple that I don't need
- 4:51Speaker 1: no explanation. That simply means of all the people you
- 4:55Speaker 1: know or do not know, when something happens to you
- 4:58Speaker 1: and you celebrate, everybody's not going to join in on
- 5:02Speaker 1: the celebration. That's all that is. But then you take
- 5:06Speaker 1: it one step further. My father used to say something
- 5:08Speaker 1: to me all the time. He says, son, everybody come
- 5:11Speaker 1: with you, can't go with you. I didn't get that
- 5:13Speaker 1: when I was fifteen. Everybody come with you can't go
- 5:16Speaker 1: with you. He said, you're gonna lose some of these
- 5:18Speaker 1: friends you got along the way. But I don't care
- 5:21Speaker 1: where you get in life. No, this right here, everybody
- 5:25Speaker 1: can't go with you. If you are constantly trying to
- 5:28Speaker 1: improve yourself, you constantly have to take assessment of the
- 5:32Speaker 1: people around you. Because if you are going to continue
- 5:35Speaker 1: to go and continue to grow, then guess what you
- 5:39Speaker 1: got to have people that's on the goal and willing
- 5:41Speaker 1: to grow, or else, guess what you're gonna learn the
- 5:47Speaker 1: valuable lesson. You know, the late boxing promoter Butch Lewis.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I was talking with Butch Lewis one time, and man
- 5:55Speaker 1: with a good brother man, he say, every successful man
- 5:59Speaker 1: is doing what I call he got rope work to do.
- 6:02Speaker 1: He got rope work to do. He got to put
- 6:05Speaker 1: in work on rope. And I'm sitting there listening to
- 6:09Speaker 1: Butch Lewis and all the money he had made and
- 6:11Speaker 1: all the people's lives he had changed, and all of
- 6:13Speaker 1: the moves he was made, and his incredible skills as
- 6:17Speaker 1: a negotiator on behalf of some very very wealthy people.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He was just an amazing man with no education. But
- 6:24Speaker 1: he read everything. He Butch Lewis read all that, all
- 6:27Speaker 1: the papers, all the periodicals. That brother knew everything. He said,
- 6:32Speaker 1: you got to put in rope. And I was sitting
- 6:34Speaker 1: there listening. He said here's the analogy, little brother. He said,
- 6:38Speaker 1: you are on rope. There's a thick rope. You have
- 6:42Speaker 1: on no shirt, you have on some tattered clothes. You
- 6:46Speaker 1: have on no shoes. Your shorts is cut off just
- 6:49Speaker 1: below the knee, and they tattered, and you got dirt
- 6:52Speaker 1: on you and you're sweating. There's this huge, huge raw
- 6:56Speaker 1: rope over your shoulder that's burn marks on all of
- 6:59Speaker 1: your shoulder. Connected to that rope is a wagon. That
- 7:04Speaker 1: wagon has all your weight on it, all your responsibilities,
- 7:09Speaker 1: all the people you're responsible for, all your children, your wife,
- 7:13Speaker 1: your family members, your employees, your coworkers, your friends. They
- 7:19Speaker 1: all on that wagon. Man, they're just sitting there. He's saying,
- 7:23Speaker 1: what you gotta do is you gotta pull that wagon
- 7:26Speaker 1: up the heel. Now, only thing with it is, can't
- 7:28Speaker 1: nobody help you pull your wagon? You pull your wagon alone.
- 7:33Speaker 1: He saying, Now, what you can do along the way
- 7:36Speaker 1: of pulling your wagon, as you can find yourself a
- 7:39Speaker 1: good wife, a good woman. He's saying that what that
- 7:42Speaker 1: woman does is she get down off the wagon. She
- 7:45Speaker 1: fan you while you pull it. She put water on
- 7:47Speaker 1: you while you pull it. She puts stuff in your
- 7:50Speaker 1: mouth while you pull it. She kicked rocks out the
- 7:52Speaker 1: way while you pull it. But she but she pull
- 7:55Speaker 1: it for you. But she is equally as important as
- 7:58Speaker 1: you are on the pull of the rope. He said,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you hear me clearly now, young soldier. He said, NA
- 8:03Speaker 1: get this hell, he says, people on your wagon that
- 8:06Speaker 1: you're responsible for. But you want the people on your
- 8:10Speaker 1: wagon to help you get your wagon to the top.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So what you hope is that they got their foot
- 8:16Speaker 1: hanging over the side pushing, They got one leg over
- 8:20Speaker 1: the back, or maybe both legs over the back pushing.
- 8:23Speaker 1: They got they might have their butt on the wagon,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but they push you with both legs. They're back facing
- 8:28Speaker 1: your back, maybe some of them facing you when one
- 8:30Speaker 1: of them got left leg hanging over trying to push.
- 8:32Speaker 1: And you hope that all the people on the wagon
- 8:36Speaker 1: you pullings back there at least trying to help the
- 8:38Speaker 1: wagon get to the top of the hill. Here goes
- 8:40Speaker 1: your problem. Though everybody ain't pushing, everybody ain't pull it,
- 8:45Speaker 1: ain't bar everybody ain't pulling, Everybody ain't kicking rocks out
- 8:48Speaker 1: the way. You got some people on your wagon that's
- 8:51Speaker 1: just laying on the wagon drinking lemonade, looking at you,
- 8:56Speaker 1: talking about how long it's taking you to get your
- 8:58Speaker 1: wagon up to the top, looking at you, telling my
- 9:01Speaker 1: whitest wagon, so slow. Then when you start picking up
- 9:04Speaker 1: picking up speed, they want you to pull harder, you
- 9:07Speaker 1: to pull faster, you to pull mole. Then they want
- 9:10Speaker 1: you to throw what you then earned on the way
- 9:12Speaker 1: up the hill backed on the wagon so they can
- 9:15Speaker 1: have mo. But guess what, they ain't helping you get more,
- 9:18Speaker 1: but they got a sense of entitlement that since you
- 9:20Speaker 1: got mold, they should have more. Everybody come with you
- 9:24Speaker 1: can't go with you. Sometimes you gotta kick the people
- 9:27Speaker 1: off the wagon that ain't pushing and pull it and say,
- 9:30Speaker 1: hey man, I'm sorry. I thought I could do this
- 9:33Speaker 1: with you, and I thought you was going with me.
- 9:35Speaker 1: But it's clear to me you ain't nothing but dead weight.
- 9:38Speaker 1: And it ain't my responsibility to carry dead weight anymore.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I have carried you as long as I have to
- 9:44Speaker 1: carry you. You are no longer my responsibility. I'm responsible
- 9:48Speaker 1: for my family, my wife, my children. I'm not responsible
- 9:51Speaker 1: for you. You got to get off my wagon because
- 9:54Speaker 1: I'm a man on rope. I'm on a mission, baby,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm pulling you're listening Morning show, ladies and gentlemen to

- 11:44Speaker 1: worst dates he had met this chicken he went out
- 11:47Speaker 1: with him, but her mama came and ate thirty. So
- 11:52Speaker 1: I was just asking, up, what's one of the worst
- 11:55Speaker 1: dates you've ever been on? And you knew I'm gonna
- 11:57Speaker 1: be the last time you saw her. Well, that time
- 12:00Speaker 1: that I finally got that creole girl to date me
- 12:04Speaker 1: in college, Oh love. She was fun and I'd never
- 12:08Speaker 1: had creole food before she went to a creole restaurant
- 12:12Speaker 1: off campus and had all that spicy ass food, and
- 12:19Speaker 1: she liked spicy food, so I just went with him.
- 12:22Speaker 1: But it was cutting me, cut me up pretty bad.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I felt like a box cutter was going across my stomach.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And I went into her house and I had to
- 12:34Speaker 1: go to bathroom. I was trying to make it back
- 12:36Speaker 1: to the dorm, and she said, come on in, my mama,
- 12:38Speaker 1: need him. Ain't in time. Oh yeah, I couldn't pass
- 12:41Speaker 1: it up, but I knew I should have went home.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Became my mama taught me, whenever you got to go
- 12:44Speaker 1: to bath food and sit on that toilet, you come home.
- 12:48Speaker 1: You don't need to let this go at nobody's house.
- 12:50Speaker 1: And I went right an. I didn't have no matches,
- 12:53Speaker 1: couldn't keep this, couldn't keep that soft for smell in
- 12:56Speaker 1: the air, and Lord him, when I got through sitting there,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I had put most stuff in the bold and I
- 13:05Speaker 1: had ever done in mind tire like wow, when I
- 13:09Speaker 1: flushed it, Yeah, it was not enough water in that boat. Okay, seriously,
- 13:18Speaker 1: that's just the beginning of the worst date. I could
- 13:20Speaker 1: tell you the whole story, but we ain't got Thank God,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Thank god, I never got better and broke up. All right,
- 13:34Speaker 1: thank you, Junior and Steve coming up at thirty two
- 13:37Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we're gonna start to show off

- 13:46Speaker 1: it is time to start our morning off with the

- 14:29Speaker 1: the house right now? Okay? That okay, that's not the issue.
- 14:33Speaker 1: What the issue is? What what do you what do
- 14:35Speaker 1: you need? Sir? My name is Burns okay, and I
- 14:39Speaker 1: lived two streets old from y'all. Do your son play
- 14:42Speaker 1: with a boy? Named Timm timmis. Yes, they grew up together.
- 14:45Speaker 1: They play ball together. That that's where they are now.
- 14:47Speaker 1: They playing ball right now? What they playing balling right now?
- 14:51Speaker 1: Sting up down there at the park. The play ball
- 14:54Speaker 1: and don't they always as the part. That's what I
- 14:56Speaker 1: need to know. I need to know where they are.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Hold on saying hold on,
- 15:00Speaker 1: I'm saying what you need to know where they are
- 15:02Speaker 1: for and what you're gonna do. What is the problem
- 15:04Speaker 1: my dead boys there is and Pim come they they
- 15:08Speaker 1: were walking up my street today and came over here.
- 15:10Speaker 1: I have a prosthetic arm. My right arm is prosthetic,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and they know the hold hold hold on saying you
- 15:17Speaker 1: say you got a prosthetic arm, Yes, I do. My
- 15:20Speaker 1: right arm is a prosthetic arm. And then boys came
- 15:24Speaker 1: over what they got to do with my son, Joe
- 15:26Speaker 1: Boy and that boy Pim came over here and pulled
- 15:29Speaker 1: my arm off of me and ran down the street
- 15:31Speaker 1: with it. The old saying hold on, I'm saying old,
- 15:34Speaker 1: I'm saying, you try to tell me that that that
- 15:37Speaker 1: you lost your arm to my son and his friend
- 15:40Speaker 1: and they ran off with your arm. They played basketball
- 15:43Speaker 1: is that what you're telling me? So I'm telling you
- 15:45Speaker 1: I don't know what. I didn't know nothing about no basketball.
- 15:48Speaker 1: They didn't came and took my prosthetic arm off of me.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm I'm saying. Hold I'm saying, you tell you something
- 15:54Speaker 1: that doesn't sound like what something my son would do. Okay,
- 15:58Speaker 1: exactly what they do, what they gonna on it all times,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and that's not something that they would do. I'm sick
- 16:03Speaker 1: complayer talking about what they kid we will do it,
- 16:05Speaker 1: won't do. You don't know what they do when they
- 16:08Speaker 1: with y'all. I'm glad you told me that, say at
- 16:10Speaker 1: the part, because I'm gonna go right over here to
- 16:12Speaker 1: this fark now and when I found him, I'm a woman,
- 16:15Speaker 1: can't get money back. Okay, hold on, hold on, hold
- 16:18Speaker 1: on saying hold on, just hold everything, Okay, hold on
- 16:21Speaker 1: saging now because you don't say that you won't go
- 16:24Speaker 1: do something that I know you don't really mean. All right,
- 16:27Speaker 1: say what I mean exactly what I'm saying. They got
- 16:30Speaker 1: my all. How you thinking feels that somebody trying to
- 16:33Speaker 1: take your arm? Sir? Okay, look, let's try to keep disrespectful,
- 16:36Speaker 1: all right. All Right, you say they got your arm, right,
- 16:39Speaker 1: how about this, you're going to go get my boys? Okay?
- 16:44Speaker 1: First of all, I will meet you at the park,
- 16:46Speaker 1: all right, I will meet you at the park, and
- 16:47Speaker 1: we're gonna talk to talk about the situation like like, gentlemen,
- 16:51Speaker 1: okayin't know, ain't don't need for me to go down
- 16:53Speaker 1: there and start messing with youngsters. Okay, all right, that's
- 16:56Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. Y're still good. They got my all. Third,
- 17:02Speaker 1: with all due respect, okay, you're talking about my son,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and I know what he is capable of doing and
- 17:08Speaker 1: what he's not gonna do, and he don't disrespect older
- 17:11Speaker 1: people like that, especially with somebody with it with an
- 17:14Speaker 1: impairment of disablement or whatever you got. I'm sorry about
- 17:17Speaker 1: your heart. I'm I'm on the hill. I'm I'm trying.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I'm an if you, of course, do you not think
- 17:22Speaker 1: taking somebody all is disrespectful? That's disrespectful to take off
- 17:27Speaker 1: the old man's all and run down the street with
- 17:29Speaker 1: sir disrespectful? But what what is not? What is not disrespectful? Also,
- 17:34Speaker 1: is you telling me you're gonna go up there and
- 17:36Speaker 1: what my son and that's not gonna happen. Okay, that's
- 17:40Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. I'm hung up as soon as
- 17:43Speaker 1: I get over his head off. Okay, all second, sir,
- 17:46Speaker 1: he's gonna do what to my son? I'm a son
- 17:49Speaker 1: up as soon as I get to this part and
- 17:51Speaker 1: the ain't pitment that's with it because they took my
- 17:54Speaker 1: home and they know they did. I'm gonna okay, let
- 17:56Speaker 1: let me tell you something. You don't call me up,
- 17:58Speaker 1: disrespecting me and threatening my son. Do you know what
- 18:01Speaker 1: you're talking to I'll tell you what you do. Say
- 18:03Speaker 1: you what you comp to that part and just breathe
- 18:06Speaker 1: on my son wrong? Okay, say his name wrong? Okay,
- 18:09Speaker 1: say it, and then I'll tell you what I'm gonna do.
- 18:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna take your other arm and I'm gonna beat
- 18:13Speaker 1: you here. Let me tell you something. Let me tell
- 18:16Speaker 1: you something I don't think. Don't think, okay't who who
- 18:19Speaker 1: who wing on because I'm there, I whoop. You ain't
- 18:21Speaker 1: your son because going on, I promise you that. Okay,
- 18:24Speaker 1: come on, family, you ain't gonna know what to do
- 18:28Speaker 1: with your life because you can't find your arm. You
- 18:30Speaker 1: ain't got no sense, and you over here with the
- 18:32Speaker 1: wrong people's family all right. You don't know. You don't
- 18:35Speaker 1: know what happened in my a. You don't know I
- 18:38Speaker 1: lost my arm. Don't know what happened? You quiet? You
- 18:43Speaker 1: know you know I know what happened to my arm?
- 18:47Speaker 1: Why is you quiet? We ask you something, mister sencident?
- 18:52Speaker 1: What the problem? You know? You know what? You don't
- 18:55Speaker 1: know how I lost the arm. You don't know how
- 18:58Speaker 1: I lost it. I don't know how you've lost your arm.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I really I don't give my just I don't know
- 19:06Speaker 1: who got your arm? My son and got your arm? No,
- 19:08Speaker 1: you're so you do he don't. He don't have my arm.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Tommy Tommy got my arm? Who got your arm? Tell
- 19:16Speaker 1: me got it? Tommy Tommy got it? Tell me the

- 21:36Speaker 1: than me. My mother found out that I'm friendly with her,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and she stopped talking to me. I'm stuck in the middle.
- 21:42Speaker 1: How do I make things right with my mom? Well,

- 22:12Speaker 1: like that, but you know you can't. You can't. Oh, Okay,
- 22:21Speaker 1: she started seeing her daddy and she found out about it.
- 22:23Speaker 1: She said, well, she's still my girl sleeping with my daddy,
- 22:27Speaker 1: but my mama tricking too though, She said, both my
- 22:30Speaker 1: parents just cheatas so if we're worried about it, yeah, yeah,
- 22:35Speaker 1: that's a mess. All she could do this or she
- 22:38Speaker 1: could become friendly with her mother's boyfriend. And now you
- 22:43Speaker 1: friend your friends with both the girlfriend and the boyfriend.
- 22:46Speaker 1: You gotta take a lot of pressure. Yeah, and then
- 22:49Speaker 1: both parents will just be mad at her. Then all
- 22:53Speaker 1: she got do and say, well, you want me to
- 22:54Speaker 1: tell another one? Oh? She blackmail her parents at Yeah?
- 23:02Speaker 1: All right, moving on to put the old ass on Facebook,
- 23:07Speaker 1: oh you know, m all right. Moving on to Cassandra
- 23:12Speaker 1: and Dennison, she says, my husband and I have five children,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and it's hard for us to have quality time together.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Now he sees quality times. He sees quality time as
- 23:21Speaker 1: sex and then cuddling. I want to go on a
- 23:23Speaker 1: date and get all dressed up. He told me to
- 23:25Speaker 1: go out with my girlfriends, but it's not the same.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Should I be grateful for the sex and stop nagging him? No,
- 23:33Speaker 1: you have every right to want to go out with
- 23:35Speaker 1: your husband. Yeah, you know he should, He should onto that.
- 23:40Speaker 1: You know, five kids. I want to get out the house. Yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 1: get away from that dope. Nerves, bad nerves. You know,
- 23:51Speaker 1: you got live, you have five kids? You got what
- 23:54Speaker 1: is you not? What? You knock again? Knock again? Yeah? Yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 1: this is a lot too lesson you have. Yeah yeah,
- 24:03Speaker 1: all right. So yeah, you're saying she has every right
- 24:07Speaker 1: to want to go on on the day. Absolutely absolutely,
- 24:11Speaker 1: and she's not knacking him, all right, and then we'll
- 24:13Speaker 1: have sex when we get back. He just got yea
- 24:18Speaker 1: and cutlets let's do it before we go out. I
- 24:21Speaker 1: can relax a lot better, all right, Mary Lee and
- 24:28Speaker 1: Edgewater says, I've been married for five years, and lately
- 24:31Speaker 1: I've noticed that my husband doesn't shower daily. He has
- 24:35Speaker 1: been doing a lot of washing up. It's a blessing
- 24:37Speaker 1: that I don't smell him, but I am curious as
- 24:39Speaker 1: to why he doesn't want to have running water on
- 24:41Speaker 1: his body daily. Should I confront him or mind my business?
- 24:46Speaker 1: Ena just reverted back to his boyhood days. It's just
- 24:48Speaker 1: two damn time consuming you know, going here and get
- 24:53Speaker 1: this bird, baffy. You don't out of here, But I'm
- 24:56Speaker 1: gonna tell you right now, you gotta get in that
- 24:58Speaker 1: damn water. Dog. Water finds this way into places that
- 25:04Speaker 1: you forget. Water goes into crevices, cracks, and I don't
- 25:11Speaker 1: know if you like you real buffed in shape or not,
- 25:14Speaker 1: but either way increases. Yeah, everybody got one crease. Yeah,
- 25:19Speaker 1: everybody got one crease for damn show. You got to
- 25:25Speaker 1: wash that care to be more specific? Please? Yeah? Well
- 25:31Speaker 1: you ever you ever been laying down naked and you
- 25:34Speaker 1: know how you lay on your stomach and you pull
- 25:36Speaker 1: your knee up by your chest to watch TV but
- 25:41Speaker 1: you ain't washed? WHOA I bet you get your ass
- 25:48Speaker 1: im getting that shower. E if you absolutely have an
- 25:56Speaker 1: answer for everyone. Let me tell you something, because don't
- 25:59Speaker 1: act like it's people know what I'm talking about. Lay
- 26:03Speaker 1: on your stomach, on the bed neck and then lift
- 26:06Speaker 1: one of your knees up by your chest and lay
- 26:08Speaker 1: that bottom minute about a minute if you got to
- 26:14Speaker 1: wash it's coming. It takes about a minute though, because
- 26:19Speaker 1: because it's some slow moving, real heavy ass for it
- 26:26Speaker 1: like it come up cross your ass. It's kind of
- 26:30Speaker 1: like dry ice come up stepp It's invisible. It's invisible,
- 26:35Speaker 1: and roll up and it stay right on your ass
- 26:38Speaker 1: and it comes right up on your waist and over
- 26:41Speaker 1: your elbow and next thing, you know, and then when
- 26:43Speaker 1: it hits you it ain't light. It jump on your
- 26:47Speaker 1: face like you know, like that green stuff good. Just
- 26:52Speaker 1: suck on your face, your ass or something. All right,
- 26:59Speaker 1: all right. List in Oakland says, I'm a thirty thirty
- 27:02Speaker 1: year old FEV. That's another thing to woman, and we're
- 27:10Speaker 1: trying to help lives in Oakland. She's a thirty year
- 27:12Speaker 1: old divorced female trying to get back in the dating game.
- 27:15Speaker 1: She says it's hard to find a tall man. She
- 27:18Speaker 1: says she's five ten and she loves to wear her heels.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Her ex six six, and that's rare to find. Do
- 27:24Speaker 1: you think it's weird to see a woman taller than
- 27:27Speaker 1: her man? That's her question. No, I have him all
- 27:30Speaker 1: the time. You know, before before my nephew got married,
- 27:34Speaker 1: he was dating and he didn't have no restriction. Every
- 27:41Speaker 1: time I turn around, I'm going he we you know,
- 27:49Speaker 1: just in here just dating tall women. Just you know,
- 27:52Speaker 1: everybody looked like Kansas Park. You know, you know, not
- 27:57Speaker 1: to me, but to him. And you know. But I'll
- 28:01Speaker 1: tell you one thing though, there's an advantage to short
- 28:05Speaker 1: men because if they're sleeping in the bed naked and
- 28:09Speaker 1: he put his knee up by his chest, it take
- 28:11Speaker 1: a lot longer for that funk, that dry ice on
- 28:16Speaker 1: roller to come across his little ass and a jump
- 28:20Speaker 1: on his face forward getting your face because he shot
- 28:23Speaker 1: it and you will never smell it. And that's another
- 28:25Speaker 1: advantage of shot asked men everything, get on them faster. Well,
- 28:34Speaker 1: you got the shower. I'll bring it back up again.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Next question, that's it. You watch March Madness, Yeah, I'm
- 28:42Speaker 1: watching March Madness. Has if you lay on your stomach
- 28:46Speaker 1: naked in the bed and you're trying to look like
- 28:48Speaker 1: you marching and you raise that leg up by your
- 28:51Speaker 1: chest and that hot ice fun come out the crack
- 28:54Speaker 1: of your butt and run back up down. It's on
- 28:57Speaker 1: your ass again. All right, coming up at the top
- 29:01Speaker 1: of the hour, We'll have some entertainment news for you
- 29:04Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:10Speaker 1: All right. So former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo threw his
- 29:13Speaker 1: friends CNN anchor Don Lemon under the bus recently. This
- 29:17Speaker 1: was in a lawsuit to get millions from CNN. Cuomo
- 29:20Speaker 1: specifically cited how, in November of twenty twenty one, Empire
- 29:25Speaker 1: actor Jesse Smallett testified that Don Lemon personally warned Jesse
- 29:30Speaker 1: that Chicago police didn't believe his false accusations of a
- 29:33Speaker 1: hate crime. Lemon's consulting with Smallette constituted a flagrant breach
- 29:39Speaker 1: of journalistic ethics. Cuomo's team wrote, intervening in the ongoing
- 29:44Speaker 1: investigation by texting Smallett was an inexcusable breach of ethics,
- 29:49Speaker 1: the filing argued, yet CNN did nothing, Lemon was not
- 29:53Speaker 1: disciplined in any way. Chris Cuomo's team went on to
- 29:56Speaker 1: say that Cuomo had his journalistic integrity on sufiably smeared,
- 30:01Speaker 1: making it difficult, if not impossible, for Cuomo to find
- 30:05Speaker 1: a similar work in the future, and damaging him in
- 30:08Speaker 1: a mount succeeding one hundred and twenty five million dollars,
- 30:11Speaker 1: which includes not only the remaining salary ode under the agreement,
- 30:14Speaker 1: but future wages lost as a result of CNN's efforts
- 30:18Speaker 1: to destroy its reputation in violation of the agreement. Wow,
- 30:25Speaker 1: so the question becomes huh, what would you say? Well, well,
- 30:30Speaker 1: the question becomes just like Chris threw Don under the bus,
- 30:33Speaker 1: Chris Cuomo threw Don Lemon under So I gotta ask
- 30:36Speaker 1: the guys if your co worker, if your friend threw
- 30:38Speaker 1: you under the bus, would you end that friendship? Because
- 30:42Speaker 1: remember how at the end of Chris Cuomo's show, Don
- 30:47Speaker 1: Lemon would come on and they would talk about how
- 30:48Speaker 1: much they loved I love you love that. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 1: all of that. All that's gone. Well, you know, you
- 30:57Speaker 1: have to be what you are mean? What does that mean?
- 31:02Speaker 1: Break that down? Oh, the true measure of man cannot
- 31:08Speaker 1: be judged in moments of comfort and convenience, but in
- 31:12Speaker 1: term al and strife. Then and only then will you
- 31:16Speaker 1: know the true measure of a man. So Chris Cromo
- 31:21Speaker 1: was cool until we got to term al and strife. Yeah, no,
- 31:25Speaker 1: all that. Hey, brother, brother, brother, buddy, buddy, buddy, love,
- 31:29Speaker 1: love love. I want my money. Yeah, lay your ass
- 31:34Speaker 1: down because I'm going to bag this bust up over you.
- 31:39Speaker 1: And we're talking one hundred twenty five million. So damn
- 31:42Speaker 1: my friendship with my brother Don. You didn't even have
- 31:45Speaker 1: to use Don as an example, right, right, because he
- 31:50Speaker 1: and Anderson Cooper, Anderson Cooper comes on before him. They
- 31:53Speaker 1: don't do all of that. I love you Anderson, Oh,
- 31:57Speaker 1: I love you too. They never did any of that.
- 32:00Speaker 1: It was definitely friendship that yeah, between and Chris Chris
- 32:05Speaker 1: Alma and promoting each other's show. But you genuinely believe
- 32:09Speaker 1: that they were friends. At least I did too. I
- 32:13Speaker 1: did too. I would well, maybe Don and uh Chris
- 32:18Speaker 1: Chris Chris can't do it because I know Don is married?
- 32:24Speaker 1: Is uh Anderson married? Chris? No, he's a father, I
- 32:30Speaker 1: don't think. Yeah, he had a little boy, but I
- 32:32Speaker 1: don't think he's married. Now, I said, you know, both
- 32:35Speaker 1: of them being married might have something to do with
- 32:37Speaker 1: that too, Oh okay, never know. So yeah, anyway, what
- 32:44Speaker 1: would you what would you guys do? Would you end
- 32:46Speaker 1: the friendship? Would you cut it? You know? Cancel? Man
- 32:49Speaker 1: got to ask me that the grudgeholder, I know, I
- 32:56Speaker 1: bet eat pizza or nothing like that. I'm gonna walk
- 33:03Speaker 1: over and knock your monkey ass out. Dog. We supposed
- 33:09Speaker 1: to be boys too. Yeah. Have you ever had a
- 33:13Speaker 1: friend do that though? Have you guys? Yeah? Betrayal? Yeah, yes,
- 33:19Speaker 1: we all been through. Oh yes, sir. And it wasn't
- 33:23Speaker 1: pretty because I ain't see it coming right. You never
- 33:28Speaker 1: do you never. Somebody told me about it and said, man,
- 33:32Speaker 1: you know your boy Paul did this? Paul said you
- 33:35Speaker 1: did that? Paul? No, man, you got your Boyfaul? Yeah, Man,
- 33:44Speaker 1: show you talking about Paul? Dog got dog got man,
- 33:47Speaker 1: get up out of him. A whole week went by.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Somebody else came into and said, hey, man, sorry about
- 33:53Speaker 1: what happened between you and Paul. Do what you mean
- 33:57Speaker 1: what happened between me and Paul? Yeah? Oh oh when
- 34:01Speaker 1: he when he when he told everybody? By what by
- 34:07Speaker 1: what happened? Dog? You're the second person told me Paul
- 34:12Speaker 1: told what? And you have your clueless you have no
- 34:15Speaker 1: clue what's going on? Dog? I'm done? Yeah? And then
- 34:19Speaker 1: I was heading over Paul's house and I went by
- 34:21Speaker 1: the house, and my brother say, hanging that, little bro,
- 34:25Speaker 1: you know, just just stay strong with him, man, try
- 34:27Speaker 1: not to do nothing to it. And that's when I
- 34:30Speaker 1: knew when my brother said that to me, I knew
- 34:32Speaker 1: he said it then, because my brother, he don't even
- 34:35Speaker 1: know nothing about no gostle. M right. And you trust
- 34:39Speaker 1: your brother for sean, yeah, your blood brother. Yeah. Before that,
- 34:43Speaker 1: we got to what Paul asked him. You got out
- 34:48Speaker 1: of that Tommy, oh dog Doug, I was in college,
- 34:52Speaker 1: got on my bike, rolled over all Ashbury, didn't ask
- 34:56Speaker 1: no questions, got off the bike, let it crack, put
- 35:00Speaker 1: the kickstand. We're gonna probably knocked the bike over in
- 35:05Speaker 1: the damn Wait. So let me just go on in
- 35:07Speaker 1: here and get started, and we will Paul's ask could fight.
- 35:12Speaker 1: All right, We're coming up in twenty minutes after the hour.

- 38:46Speaker 1: This color is um about Africa. Good morning Steed and
- 38:51Speaker 1: the Morning Show. I'm calling to ask Steed, what part
- 38:55Speaker 1: of Africa does you go to? Because I wanted to
- 38:58Speaker 1: travel to Africa here and I wanted to see which
- 39:02Speaker 1: city country I wanted to travel to. Which one do
- 39:05Speaker 1: you recommend see? Thank you. I'm Diana from New Orman. Well,
- 39:09Speaker 1: I've gone to quite a few, but I highly recommend
- 39:13Speaker 1: that you go to Ghana because you have to go
- 39:17Speaker 1: to the slave castles. You have to go and see
- 39:21Speaker 1: what was done to us to enable us to get
- 39:25Speaker 1: on the ships. It was one of the most emotional,
- 39:30Speaker 1: heart wrenching things I've ever seen. Wow, And I'm telling you, man,
- 39:37Speaker 1: what they did to us as Africans, It's unthinkable. And
- 39:43Speaker 1: then they had the nerves on top of the slave
- 39:46Speaker 1: castles to be on churches and cut holes in the
- 39:51Speaker 1: floor so the Africans that were enslaved, a thousand slaves
- 39:57Speaker 1: in an area that's big enough for two hundred people.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Pack a thousand people in there with no running water,
- 40:04Speaker 1: no bathroom facilities. So they could hear them saying about Christ,
- 40:09Speaker 1: and then they had the nerve to try to walk
- 40:11Speaker 1: me in that church upstairs. I wouldn't even go in there.
- 40:14Speaker 1: This ain't no church, This ain't no house of worship.
- 40:17Speaker 1: This ain't where God at. I'm not going in here.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Who y'all think y'all talking to the God I know
- 40:22Speaker 1: was not in that church? Oh man, it's a called
- 40:25Speaker 1: So anyway, long story short, go to Ghana because it's beautiful.
- 40:30Speaker 1: That people in Okera are wonderful, that they have trips
- 40:34Speaker 1: out to the castles, and it's just an amazing experience
- 40:39Speaker 1: to see where it all started from. You got to
- 40:41Speaker 1: do that first, and then I recommend you go to
- 40:44Speaker 1: Johannesburg so you can see what we've become. And then
- 40:48Speaker 1: Cape Town, Derby, South Africa is wonderful. I strongly suggest
- 40:53Speaker 1: going to Kenya. Kenya's beautiful. If you can go to Rwanda,
- 40:58Speaker 1: it's the most pristine city you've ever seen. You've never
- 41:02Speaker 1: seen a city like Rwanda. They ain't they ain't They
- 41:06Speaker 1: ain't a leaf on the ground over there, man. And
- 41:10Speaker 1: then Botswana. Gotta see Botswana. You gotta go to Okavarna Delta.
- 41:14Speaker 1: So if I went to a trip, I would do
- 41:16Speaker 1: it two way. I would go to Ghana and then
- 41:19Speaker 1: me personally, I would go to Botswanna. But you gotta
- 41:22Speaker 1: want to see the cities that we've built. Johannesburg Town. Okay,
- 41:27Speaker 1: all right, all right, Steve. We have a caller who's
- 41:30Speaker 1: just relocated to LA from Virginia. She's looking for love.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Good even Steve Harvey show. Um, I am a sixty
- 41:37Speaker 1: year old black female. I'm a licensed nurse and I
- 41:42Speaker 1: have four children but never been married. I am looking
- 41:46Speaker 1: for my maid. I have just moved back to LA,
- 41:51Speaker 1: sold my house in Virginia, moved back to LA. So
- 41:54Speaker 1: I'm starting over. But I'm only attracting forty year old Um.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Can you give me some advice? Men in their sixties
- 42:02Speaker 1: do not realize that I am in my sixties and
- 42:05Speaker 1: there's not much to work with. So can you give
- 42:08Speaker 1: me an advice to just find out where can I
- 42:11Speaker 1: go to meet the man if it's more closer to
- 42:13Speaker 1: my age and we have more in common. Okay, my
- 42:15Speaker 1: name is Carol, and thank you very much. Well, Carol.
- 42:20Speaker 1: First of all, the reason you can't attract men in
- 42:23Speaker 1: your age group is because you look you'all, because you
- 42:25Speaker 1: need to kill yourself and you're fine. The second reason
- 42:28Speaker 1: is you got real sexy voice, Carrol, and that's working
- 42:31Speaker 1: for you too. Because Junior wanted to highlight you and
- 42:37Speaker 1: Jesse his name. Junior alone should tell you that you
- 42:41Speaker 1: can't get on bismen within a little chat and so,
- 42:46Speaker 1: and without even seeing a picture of y'all can tell
- 42:48Speaker 1: you got yourself together and everything like that. I would
- 42:52Speaker 1: go on an older dating site. I would try online
- 42:56Speaker 1: dating and make sure that you have an age record
- 43:00Speaker 1: West and you should be looking for a man fifty
- 43:03Speaker 1: and up. And because a fifty year old man like
- 43:07Speaker 1: he already, it's equivalent me and age hearder than women anyway.
- 43:13Speaker 1: So if you get a fifty ye old man to
- 43:15Speaker 1: ask Mike Luke sixty SI nobody on this show, all right,
- 43:20Speaker 1: thank you if you want. If you want to leave
- 43:23Speaker 1: Steve a voicemail, call him age seven seven twenty nine.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Steve coming up next. The nephew is here with today's
- 43:28Speaker 1: Frank phone call right after this you're listening to show
- 43:35Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 43:37Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for today. The
- 43:40Speaker 1: subject is my daughter is married to a hobo. We'll
- 43:44Speaker 1: get into that wall in just a few but right now, huh.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I was gonna say. We were talking on that last
- 43:52Speaker 1: break when we had that call. It it called in
- 43:54Speaker 1: says she was sixty years old, yes, and that she
- 43:57Speaker 1: was having trouble because only man we're talking to her
- 44:00Speaker 1: as forty year old, because they don't know if she's sixty.
- 44:02Speaker 1: And I complimented on her voice and the way she
- 44:05Speaker 1: must take care of herself. She looks you, and I
- 44:07Speaker 1: got ready to say, because we don't have that problem
- 44:10Speaker 1: on this show. I was telling that she could get
- 44:12Speaker 1: a fifty year old guy and then you know, he'll
- 44:15Speaker 1: he'll look sixty. But we don't have on on our show.
- 44:18Speaker 1: All these men on our show, even Tommy, who is
- 44:21Speaker 1: in his fifties, don't really look like he and his
- 44:23Speaker 1: fifties no good to serve. And you know what, Steve,
- 44:27Speaker 1: I think that's because we laugh so much. Laughter so
- 44:30Speaker 1: good for soul. It keeps you young. At her I
- 44:32Speaker 1: promise you that's it. I'll do her voice Steve, you
- 44:35Speaker 1: do Joy, go ahead, helloj hey you go get your daddy,
- 44:56Speaker 1: little boy day and we have a problem. All right,
- 45:12Speaker 1: all right, come on you, all right, this is right here.
- 45:15Speaker 1: This is insurance insurance, Junior. You should get that voice insured.
- 45:20Speaker 1: This is insurance insure that thing cap down if you would,
- 45:30Speaker 1: Let's call it insurances. Joseph, How can I help you? Uh? Yeah, Joseph?
- 45:34Speaker 1: How are you doing? Man? I got you, um your number?
- 45:37Speaker 1: Uh well, so I give me your card. Told me
- 45:39Speaker 1: you have an insurance coming you might be there. Help me. Absolutely,

- 46:08Speaker 1: What I'm trying to do, man, is I'm trying to
- 46:11Speaker 1: make sure I have insurance for the people underneath me. Oh, okay,
- 46:15Speaker 1: your employees. Yeah, exactly exactly. I want to I want
- 46:18Speaker 1: my employees to be ensured. Okay, you know, like if
- 46:22Speaker 1: something happens to them, they can get they can get
- 46:24Speaker 1: workingman's comp you know what I mean. I want to
- 46:26Speaker 1: be able to accommodate them that way. Is that? And
- 46:29Speaker 1: are you able to help me while I with something
- 46:30Speaker 1: like that? Yeah? I am able to help you. I
- 46:32Speaker 1: just need to ask you a few questions. How many
- 46:36Speaker 1: how many employees to ask right now? I have? I
- 46:40Speaker 1: got six? Well, I got four that's working full time.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I got two that that worked predominantly on the weekends. Okay,

- 48:36Speaker 1: they think I have to on the application, I have
- 48:38Speaker 1: to put down what type of duties we're gonna put down?
- 48:42Speaker 1: Always down exiotic dance, you know, uh, and see since
- 48:47Speaker 1: they are there for people that like, uh need to

- 48:58Speaker 1: You want to ensure costaite. I'm not saying that, man,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm not stop saying that. Don't say that normal. That's
- 49:04Speaker 1: not what I'm saying. I'm saying that's what that's what
- 49:07Speaker 1: they are. Well, why don't you put own PC man?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Why don't you Why don't you put down pleasure consultant
- 49:12Speaker 1: for man consulting. So we don't do that here. Um,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I don't know how to help you, sir. We don't
- 49:19Speaker 1: do that here. You can't ensure a prostitute, then I
- 49:22Speaker 1: tell you don't say that no more. I told you
- 49:25Speaker 1: this right here is a PC. It's a pleasure consultant.
- 49:27Speaker 1: That's somebody that gave me this business card and told
- 49:29Speaker 1: me that you'll be able to take care of me.
- 49:31Speaker 1: And now here you he is coming back saying you
- 49:33Speaker 1: can't see this one is starting to be some the
- 49:35Speaker 1: smitty name. Uh sir, you don't have to refrain from
- 49:38Speaker 1: using that language. No, no, no no. They're telling me
- 49:40Speaker 1: that you are able to ensure me. Man, you don't
- 49:44Speaker 1: want coming back with some bogus right. We don't ensure
- 49:48Speaker 1: any type of ghetto mass prostitute call girls. Um, that's
- 49:52Speaker 1: some street jok that we don't do here. Hey, man, listen,
- 49:56Speaker 1: I was told you can ensure me, and guess what
- 49:58Speaker 1: you go insure me? I'm gonna go back and forth.
- 50:01Speaker 1: What you dog? I'm gonna come down that to your
- 50:03Speaker 1: office and I want to I want these papers filled
- 50:05Speaker 1: out so I can sign them. So I came out
- 50:07Speaker 1: of my office. Look, man, we don't ensure no prostitutes
- 50:12Speaker 1: or no are no steppers. Okay, so we don't do that,
- 50:15Speaker 1: and and you're not gonna come down to my office
- 50:18Speaker 1: with this get on mess. We don't do that. Who

- 50:36Speaker 1: do not come to this office. You come to this office.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I'm coming to the office. You're gonna ensure my girls
- 50:43Speaker 1: for me? If somebody that gave me your card and
- 50:45Speaker 1: told me you can take care of me on the low,
- 50:47Speaker 1: and that's what you're gonna do. Now. I need my
- 50:49Speaker 1: damn insure for my girls. Dog. That's all I'm trying
- 50:51Speaker 1: to get. Don't you bring you to man steppers with
- 50:55Speaker 1: because we don't do it and I will not. And
- 50:57Speaker 1: if you bring something, you're gonna get you. What mean?
- 51:00Speaker 1: I got one? Who are getting talking to? I'm talking

- 52:53Speaker 1: We got it for you. Strawberry letter, Thank you nephew.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Subject my daughter is married to a hobo. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 53:01Speaker 1: I'm concerned. I'm a concerned parent, and I know you're
- 53:04Speaker 1: going to tell me to mind my business, but I
- 53:07Speaker 1: can't this time. I have a twenty nine year old
- 53:09Speaker 1: daughter that is in love with a trifling man. I
- 53:13Speaker 1: know you can't relate because you're a hard working man
- 53:16Speaker 1: like my husband. My daughter has lived a sheltered life
- 53:19Speaker 1: with her father and I giving her every opportunity available.
- 53:24Speaker 1: She graduated from a prestigious school in the top of
- 53:27Speaker 1: her class, and she makes six figures. The fact that
- 53:30Speaker 1: she's in love with a hobo is puzzling to her
- 53:33Speaker 1: father and I. This man won't take a nine to
- 53:36Speaker 1: five job because he doesn't want a boss. He wants
- 53:39Speaker 1: to be one. He's had several failed business ventures, and
- 53:42Speaker 1: I know my daughter is funding all of them. She's
- 53:45Speaker 1: told us that we're old school and the new generation
- 53:48Speaker 1: of married couples believes in one another's dreams and nothing
- 53:52Speaker 1: is impossible. We're not that old, and we know that
- 53:55Speaker 1: money makes a world go round. I have stopped paying
- 53:58Speaker 1: her credit card bill after I saw that she charged
- 54:02Speaker 1: a bunch of printing equipment on her amex so he
- 54:04Speaker 1: could start up a T shirt business. They live in
- 54:07Speaker 1: our old home, which she has done some nice upgrades in.
- 54:10Speaker 1: They drive her car, which her father got for her
- 54:13Speaker 1: as a gift after her husband totaled her other one
- 54:17Speaker 1: because he ran a red light. It's one thing after
- 54:20Speaker 1: the other, and I don't know if she's pretending to
- 54:23Speaker 1: be in love to spite us, or if she wants
- 54:25Speaker 1: out and she doesn't know how to tell us. I
- 54:28Speaker 1: want this hobo to get it together and be the
- 54:31Speaker 1: man that my daughter needs. My husband send him a
- 54:33Speaker 1: few job leads in the insurance field, and he said
- 54:36Speaker 1: he can't work from home because he's a free spirit.
- 54:39Speaker 1: He's not free spirited. He's a hobo. And she can
- 54:42Speaker 1: do better. Is there anything we can do to reach her?
- 54:47Speaker 1: This sounds like a just a case of much was
- 54:51Speaker 1: given to your daughter and nothing was required. I mean,
- 54:55Speaker 1: first of all, you gotta stop calling him a hobo.
- 54:58Speaker 1: He's a loser this and a user. And he saw
- 55:01Speaker 1: an opportunity and your daughter and he took it. You
- 55:04Speaker 1: and your husband have done a great job with educating
- 55:06Speaker 1: your daughter and giving her the tools to make it
- 55:09Speaker 1: in this world, and she's done that. But I think
- 55:12Speaker 1: enough is enough. Now. You've got to stop giving her things.
- 55:16Speaker 1: You're still spoiling her at twenty nine. I mean, how
- 55:19Speaker 1: will her man ever step up and start providing for
- 55:22Speaker 1: her if you guys are always there. Not that he
- 55:25Speaker 1: would do that anyway, because every time you present him
- 55:28Speaker 1: with an opportunity, he has an excuse of why he
- 55:30Speaker 1: shouldn't do it or can't do it. He knows you're
- 55:33Speaker 1: going to do for her. There's no urgency for him
- 55:35Speaker 1: to do anything for her. It has nothing to do
- 55:38Speaker 1: with being old school or new school. He's just trifling
- 55:41Speaker 1: and irresponsible. Like you said, we see it, she just
- 55:45Speaker 1: doesn't see it. The thing is he'll never be the
- 55:47Speaker 1: man she needs. Doesn't sound like he's built for it,
- 55:50Speaker 1: and anyway, he's not doing it now at all. So
- 55:54Speaker 1: how many failed businesses and business ventures will it take
- 55:57Speaker 1: before he understands that he needs to go to work
- 56:00Speaker 1: until he can figure it out. The best thing you
- 56:03Speaker 1: can do right now is to try to make sure
- 56:05Speaker 1: your daughter is saving and investing at least some of
- 56:07Speaker 1: her money, so she won't give it all to this loser.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Then you got to stay out of it, you know,
- 56:12Speaker 1: and maybe somehow, someway she'll see that he's not the
- 56:16Speaker 1: man for her. He's never gonna do anything. He is
- 56:18Speaker 1: the true definition of a loser, Steve. Hobo is an
- 56:26Speaker 1: interesting word. My daughter is married to a hobo. I
- 56:29Speaker 1: wouldn't describe him as that. He's in it. She's enabling
- 56:36Speaker 1: this guy who doesn't somebody he hasn't been around, the
- 56:41Speaker 1: same thing that your daughter grew up looking at a
- 56:44Speaker 1: man and a woman worked together, and a man providing.
- 56:47Speaker 1: She didn't understand that that's what it was. She's taken
- 56:52Speaker 1: on this role of a nurturer and she's gonna pay
- 56:54Speaker 1: for it in the long run. Now, your parents and
- 56:58Speaker 1: your daughter twenty nine, and you know she lived a
- 57:02Speaker 1: shelter life, and her father and I given her every
- 57:05Speaker 1: opportunity available, graduated from shes school and top of a class,
- 57:09Speaker 1: she makes six figures, and that she's in love with
- 57:13Speaker 1: a hobo that won't take a nine to five because
- 57:17Speaker 1: he doesn't want a boss. He wants to be one.
- 57:20Speaker 1: He's had several fair business ventures, and you know your
- 57:23Speaker 1: daughter's funded him. She told us that y'all old school
- 57:28Speaker 1: and the new generation of married couples believes that want
- 57:31Speaker 1: another's dreams nothing is impossible. Well, that's true, that you
- 57:39Speaker 1: can believe in one another's dreams, and nothing is impossible
- 57:44Speaker 1: if you're not the right person for the job. Though,
- 57:48Speaker 1: we have a problem, and it just strikes me from
- 57:52Speaker 1: the letter, and I know you and your husband have
- 57:54Speaker 1: noticed this. He doesn't seem to show up anywhere in
- 57:58Speaker 1: any way doing anything positive. So it's to carry over affect, y'all.
- 58:04Speaker 1: If you're nothing in one area of your life and
- 58:06Speaker 1: you don't work on it, you will be nothing in
- 58:09Speaker 1: other areas until finally you've mastered the art of being
- 58:12Speaker 1: nothing nowhere and everywhere. Now y'all and gave the girl
- 58:18Speaker 1: everything in her life. Gave her AMAX card. He didn't
- 58:21Speaker 1: put a bunch of printing equipment on it so he
- 58:24Speaker 1: can start a T shirt business? Boy, you're putting how
- 58:32Speaker 1: much of my American Express because you're gonna start or
- 58:34Speaker 1: what a printing business? Where you live in her house?
- 58:39Speaker 1: That y'all gave her, she didn't have fixed it up
- 58:42Speaker 1: here and there. And here's the funny part. Your husband
- 58:48Speaker 1: has given him several leads for insurance, y'all. He said
- 58:52Speaker 1: he can't work from home because he a free spirit.
- 58:54Speaker 1: He's not free spirit, he's the whole boy. And she
- 58:56Speaker 1: could do better. Is that anything we could do to
- 58:58Speaker 1: reach her? When I come back, I'm gonna answer that question,
- 59:01Speaker 1: and then we're gonna do a reenactment of me making
- 59:04Speaker 1: up excuses why I can't take a job. You know,
- 59:09Speaker 1: all right, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two of
- 59:11Speaker 1: Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 59:15Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter subject is my daughter is married to
- 59:18Speaker 1: a hobo. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 59:22Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's
- 59:27Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. The subject my daughter is married to a hobo. Well, yeah,
- 59:34Speaker 1: you got kind of a problem. Let's go to that ludical.
- 59:37Speaker 1: She's twenty nine. She's married to a guy that won't work.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Your husband had offered to give him jobs insurance business.
- 59:44Speaker 1: He said he can't work for nobody because he's a
- 59:47Speaker 1: boss himself. Let me give you the exact words, and
- 59:52Speaker 1: he can't work for anybody because he's a free spirit. Oh,
- 59:59Speaker 1: being free costs money. Being captured costs money. You know.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: She told that you all an old school and this
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: is how the new school families are doing it. Let
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: me just get on down here to the end of
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: the letter. He's not a free spirit, that he's homeborn.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: She can do better. Is that anything we could do
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: to reach her? Here's what I have to say. You
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: can do some things to reach her, but it'd be
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a whole lot easier to reach him because he ain't
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: at work. Me and Tommy had a company we started
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: a few years ago called ride down that dot Com
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: and we created a website if you just wanted us
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: to ride down now on somebody. And this looks like
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: a perfect job for ride down that dot Com because
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: he just needed are right, she can do better? Is
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: there anything we can do to reach her or him?
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Because you want, you want a man to make an adjustment?
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: All you got to do. He doesn't want to work
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: from home because he's a free spirit. And she said
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: he's not a free spirit, he's a hobo and she
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: can do better? Is there anything we could do to
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: reach her? Sometimes you gotta reach him and the father
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: needs to slide around the daughter and put some words
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: and some wisdom up in his head away from the daughter. Now,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: when the daughter find out, she gonna be mad because
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: he gonna tell her because he's a little punk dude,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: so he gonna tell her. But be ready for that.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: But sometimes you got to help your daughter out. Look,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: cause he the husband, y'all ain't in love with him.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: And what's the problem that your daughter got is she
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: in love with so she missing a lot of stuff,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: y'all looking upside his head because y'all ain't in love
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: with him. So you gotta ease up on him and
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: just put something on his head. So now that's the
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: answer to that. How do we reach her? You might
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: not be able to, but you damn sh'll reach him
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: and just say little stuff in his ear, like leave
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: or die. Horrible movie out, I see your punk ass
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: like he ball hited, Like walk up behind you, daddy,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: and just lick his head, and when he turned around,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: be staying at him with your head tilted. Yeah, head,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you how to get it started. Okay,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: So that would scare him, I think so. I think
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: that would scare him. Though, when you think because his
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: problem is he don't want to do nothing. So ask
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: me any questions about going to get a job or anything.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Watch watch what he doing? Well? Have looked for anything?
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Have you filled out any applications today? Oh? I feel
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: like applications every day? Yeah? Well, any prospects, any callbacks? Oh? No?
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Anybody car? You know it's a pandemic. Most companies don't
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: even have somebody at the front answer phones. Well you
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: can work from home. I can't do that. I'm too
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: free spirited. Yeah, I got to be out there end
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: of the streets. You know, you do you know you
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: do not have a car. You're driving my daughter's car.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Get your own car. Oh, I'm sorry, man. We married
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: yea to each his own and own. It is each
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: He quotes scriptures that ain't even ben about since calling.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: When are you going to contribute to this household? You
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: know that's a cool song because it can't you know
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: when you say we, that's what they may me think of.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: That was Jim. Did you like that song? Yeah? Leave
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: in Vogue out of this. I want to know when
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: you're gonna contribute to this household and not have it
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: all the burden on my daughter. That's my question to you,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Oh but see you you acted like it's a burden
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: on her. It is, it's fifty fifty. Well what Hi,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: it's a burden if you got fifty Oh, he's sorry.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: Do you understand I've canceled her credit cards because she
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I noticed that she paid money to get your printing
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: equipment for your You cancel who credit card her? Amax?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: What is we gonna do without the credit card? Miss?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I thought, get a job? Yeah, I think you need
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: to work from home. M h man. See that's why
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: a black man can't hand nothing. I got nothing to
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: do with race card. I pulled a card on all
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: the black people. We all black, you know you know it.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Surely don't look like you and get out of my house.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: We bought this house for her, not for you. Yeah
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: right now, lady, you ain't really hurt my feelings. We see.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Thank you. Steve. Post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter

- 1:05:59Speaker 1: it up up and see what he tried to do.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: He tried to control the native and get in ahead
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: of it. Or that ain't gonna work with me. Don't
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: because we don't need ragged ass Texas do it. Congratulate
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: about it. I tell all of us about the Shann Watter.

- 1:06:31Speaker 1: He only trails Kareem Induljiba Hess calm alone. Yes he did.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Harm alone is from Louisiana. The Saints is in Louisiana. Huh,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: which they wanted? The Sean watch the lost? He only clear,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: So you tell around. Oh that's hot work, baby, he
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: got you do want? Man? He did, he brought he

- 1:07:07Speaker 1: about the cases. Come on, y'all, don't care. Cases not
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: the dog pound. Now, don't listen to me. Everybody in
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: the dog pound got cases. Jesus fact, party percent of
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the dog pound in Cleveland is on their second strike.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: They got no moment. Don't judge men. I'm to hand
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: no problem. Civil, yes, civil, Wait a minute, you cleared
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: of all criminal challenges? Yeah? Oh, man, give me this
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: damn probation and let's go. What can he do with
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: two hundred and thirty million in Cleveland? Like? How he?
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: How he gonna be balling? Nothing? Nothing held? Can you
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: do it? I'm gonna tell you something, though. Man, we
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: even got some fun. He got a girl, girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: In the words of Boomerangs, Grandmama, I don't care how
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: fine a woman is. There's a man somewhere seeking tie.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: He no buddy even rolled it out with him too. Yeah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: any Jackson had it been all right? Junior? Thank you
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: for bringing that up again a million though, I'm a
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: sergeant for two hundred million. Coming up at the top
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll talk about the power of forgiveness
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: and jumping. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harpy Morning
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: show singer and actress Kelly Rowland, along with her father
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Christopher Lovett did an interview with Hodakapi on The Today Show.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Kelly said she went to jay Z for advice when
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: she was deciding whether or not to reach out to
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: her father after not seeing him for thirty years. Kelly
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: was raised by her mother, Miss Doris Roland Garrison for
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: most of her childhood after her dad left because he
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: wasn't ready for parenthood. However, after Kelly's mother passed away
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: and now that Kelly is a mother too, she felt
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: like it was time to reach out to her dad.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Kelly asked jay Z if she was ready to take
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: the risk when she was deciding whether to meet her father.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: This is what jay Z told her. Jay Z said,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: love is all about risk. You gotta decide if you're
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: gonna jump, you're gonna jump. Kelly said she talked to
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: her husband, Tim, who was very protective of her, and
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: he told her to forgive and she jumped. So, I mean,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: what a great story, right, And Steve, you talk about
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: jumping and forgiveness and the power of forgiveness all the time.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: What say you, Well, you know just jay Z said
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: it best. Yeah, we all know where he got there,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: from him, from him, That's where you be trying to
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: get credit. That's why you try to steal credit like
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: you thought of something. He's absolutely correct, you know, and
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: so you know she did it. I mean, you know.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: And then you gotta understand what forgiveness truly is. Now
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: it ain't for the other person. Forgiveness is really for you,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: So you can move on and quit driving your car
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: looking in the rearview mirror. It's for you. It might
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: be a helpful thing. And you know what I mean,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: why not? And if you got a child, you know,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: maybe it's what he needs. You know, there are a
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: lot of men who get it right after they get
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: it wrong. Sad to say, but you were in this
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: life when it was wrong. But you can also be
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: in his life when he get it right too. A
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: lot of people make mistakes when they're young. Man. You
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: got to give people some grace and mercy, right, that's
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: how you get your experience making mistakes, learning from those mistakes.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: You know, I should be what happened? Let's say what now? Oh,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: it's just back. I had regrets too far inside voice again.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Now I ain't always come out. I just didn't want
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: to say it out loud like that. But you know,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: there is a difference you do inside and outside the voice. Yeah,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: And I don't really know how to whisper. You don't,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: don't you don't, I really don't. You mean, ain't nobody
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: gonna hear he's good as you? Well? Why would I
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: wait whistles? Exactly? But I love that. I love that
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I saw her dad. They were she was crying on TV.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Kelly was crying and her dad and he said he
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: used to hurt him because people would come up to him.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: And so I saw your daughter. I saw her on
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: TV and he couldn't see her. So, like you said, Steve,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: that that power of forgiveness that was for Kelly, because
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Kelly was dealing with the pain too, you know. Yeah.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: And the good thing is now he gets to see
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: his grandson, his kid, his grandkids, you know. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: she has two boys. Yeah, she got a good husband too. Man.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: That's a solid ass dude. Would you say Kelly's husband
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: solid ass dude? Him? Yeah, he said he's very protective
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: of her and he's the one that told her to
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: forgive ultimately, So get off, m tell me what you
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: think about that. You're awfully quiet. You I've forgiven? Tell
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: me that stole Christmas. You can move his aster Easter.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: That's what Tommy. You have forgiven me better. I have forgiven,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: but I will leave you alone, though you really pretend
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: with I will forgive and leave you alone. I will,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: all right, all right, we'll have more of the Steve
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes after the hour.

- 1:21:15Speaker 1: now on I'm gonna support you everything. No forgiveness right now,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: listen to me. Listen to me. If you don't want
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: it for yourself, I can't want it for you, right Okay,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: I'm wasting my energy. You know. You know how old
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: people say, you can lead a horse to the water,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: but you can't make him drink That's right, I'm telling you.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: If you ever see you not from the country, you
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: don't know how true that is. If you take a
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: water a horse all the way down to the water trough,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: you cannot make a horse drink water. That's not a
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: command you can give him. He don't even know what
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: you're talking about. And it's nothing you could do. And
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I found that a lot of people is like leading
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: a horse down to water. You can lead them down there,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: but if they don't want nothing, Man, what you're doing
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: dr sand has taught me one of the most valuable
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: lessons in my life. He say, man, quit throwing life
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: rafts to people swimming away from the boat. That's I've
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: seen you do it too many time, he say, man,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: stop it. Man. Do you know how much that helped
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: me in my in my walk? Yeah, And so my
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: closing remarks today, I normally try to be encouraging, but
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I just wanted y'all to know that don't want nothing,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: that Steve Harvest supports you not want nothing. And the
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: way I choose to do it is to pay just
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: play this out from now on, because all the rest
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: of my closing remarks ain't going to be uplifting, motivational.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: People looking for something all my back. That's what it's about,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: because that's what God made me fall. But the human
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: side of me just wanted to have this one little
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: break in the action and let you know that. For
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: the remainder of twenty twenty two, as I encourage, uplift, inspire,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: and try to motivate people to greatness, for those of
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: you to do, drop stuff in the comments section like
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: he thinks he knows everything. We just come for the jokes.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: We don't want to hear all that I'm an atheist.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: This is for you are no longer do I give
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: a damn damn all, man. I promise you I don't, man,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: And then you know I'm working on my Christianity level.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: But right now, well you know, surely praying for your enemies,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: I've done it a couple of times, yes, and loving
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: them treating them as you want to be treated all.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I did it a couple of times. Surely be honest
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: with may me a little sick? Why are we praying
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: for any of it? Now? You know this one here
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: is gonna be with it just made me a little sick, Siller,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I couldn't finish the prayer. I had to come out. Yes, um,
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: can we just can I just assign a couple of
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: names to this closing for me? Yes? No, no, no, no, oldis.
