- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million things and it's not good. Steve Hartley, I don't
- 0:39Speaker 1: join jo. You gotta use that turn hur you gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out. Turn got to turn out
- 1:45Speaker 1: the turnout, turn the water the water. Come, come on
- 1:59Speaker 1: your baby, uh huh. I shall well, good morning everybody,
- 2:05Speaker 1: y'all listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: one and only Steve Varvey got a radio show. Man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: Old man. Old Man symbolizes just one thing to me. Man,
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's just a constant remind of exactly how good God
- 2:19Speaker 1: has been to me over the years. And I'm thank
- 2:21Speaker 1: him for it too, because I realize every day that
- 2:24Speaker 1: I wake up that I would be nothing without him.
- 2:27Speaker 1: That everything I am, that's any good in me, I
- 2:31Speaker 1: owe to him. Now. Have I made some mistakes along
- 2:34Speaker 1: the way? Yep, bunches, bunches and bunches. And will I
- 2:39Speaker 1: continue to make mistakes along the way yep? Not as many,
- 2:44Speaker 1: hopefully as I have in the past, because a lot
- 2:48Speaker 1: of stuff I know better now. But you're still going
- 2:52Speaker 1: to make mistakes now, you know, Hopefully I've limited the
- 2:57Speaker 1: amount of intentional errors in my life. I've wiped quite
- 3:02Speaker 1: a few of those out. But from time to time,
- 3:04Speaker 1: because we're human, we're going to make a mistake every
- 3:08Speaker 1: now and then. The trick what it is, y'all, it's
- 3:11Speaker 1: not to let the devil deceive you into thinking that
- 3:13Speaker 1: once you make that mistake that that's it. You can't
- 3:16Speaker 1: do it. You're falling off the wagon. You can't reboard it.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's the biggest trick that he uses. He makes you
- 3:24Speaker 1: think that if you keep stumbling, that you can't run
- 3:29Speaker 1: the race. It kind of reminds me of a marathon runner.
- 3:36Speaker 1: From time to time I watch him on TV, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: you'll see some people who finish the race, you know,
- 3:43Speaker 1: in a in a nice pace. You see people finish
- 3:47Speaker 1: the race sprinting towards the finished line. But every now
- 3:51Speaker 1: and then you'll watch a marathon and you'll see a
- 3:55Speaker 1: runner and the runner is in really, really bad shape.
- 4:01Speaker 1: The key is they finish the race. See, you don't
- 4:07Speaker 1: get disqualified in the marathon because you stumble. You don't.
- 4:13Speaker 1: They don't. They don't take your opportunity to finish the
- 4:18Speaker 1: race because you keep falling. That's not the key. The
- 4:23Speaker 1: key is finishing. And a lot of times what the
- 4:26Speaker 1: devil does is he makes you think that because you
- 4:29Speaker 1: keep stumbling, because you're swaying from side to side, that
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know you out the race. Well that's not the case.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And see and then this thing called life, let me
- 4:40Speaker 1: help you understand something. Everybody falls, Nobody sprints to the
- 4:44Speaker 1: tape in this one. Nobody just runs free and clear
- 4:48Speaker 1: that as some people running faster than you, and all
- 4:51Speaker 1: like this, and some people gonna get to the end
- 4:53Speaker 1: before you. Let them go ahead. And when the end come,
- 4:56Speaker 1: the end come. I ain't in the rush to get
- 4:58Speaker 1: to the end, but in the race, though, when you're
- 5:01Speaker 1: stumbling and you're falling, it's a part of it. No
- 5:05Speaker 1: one gets through this race without stumbling and falling, swaying
- 5:08Speaker 1: from side to side. So don't let the enemy deceive
- 5:13Speaker 1: you into thinking that it's over. I try to be
- 5:18Speaker 1: encouraging to people because I don't want people to get
- 5:21Speaker 1: stuck on this thing, you know. And my walk is
- 5:24Speaker 1: very different from a lot of people's walks. And then
- 5:26Speaker 1: I know a lot of people who walking in faith
- 5:29Speaker 1: the way I'm walking in faith. But my thing in
- 5:31Speaker 1: the morning is just to remind those that is not
- 5:34Speaker 1: a perfect walk man, that it's not something that's set
- 5:39Speaker 1: up where you're gonna be skipping through life scott free
- 5:43Speaker 1: without any pitfalls. You know, I keep saying it over
- 5:46Speaker 1: and over and over again because, like I said, when
- 5:48Speaker 1: I was in DC, my boy Hondo said this to
- 5:52Speaker 1: me and it just kind of stuck with me that
- 5:54Speaker 1: the road to construct, the road to successes always under construction.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You have to figure and count on the setbacks and
- 6:03Speaker 1: the pitfalls. But it's those people that that that that
- 6:07Speaker 1: fight through will be the victors in the end. You
- 6:11Speaker 1: cannot give up, man, Stop going somewhen sitting down every
- 6:15Speaker 1: time something goes down. It's going to go down. It's
- 6:20Speaker 1: a part of it. It's going to happen. It's going
- 6:23Speaker 1: to occur that are going to be setbacks. If you
- 6:27Speaker 1: go and sit down every time there's a setback, that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: not how this works. It is designed that way. If
- 6:35Speaker 1: success were easy, everybody would be successful. But success is
- 6:41Speaker 1: just reserved for those who are willing to fight through,
- 6:44Speaker 1: who refuse to settle for mediocrity, who wants something more. Now,
- 6:50Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. Success is defined by each individual.
- 6:55Speaker 1: So what I may consider to be successful. You may
- 6:58Speaker 1: not consider that. You know what Bill Gates considers successful.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I might not consider what Michael Jordan considers successful. I
- 7:07Speaker 1: might not consider what you consider successful. Your boss might
- 7:11Speaker 1: not consider You have to define what that is for yourself.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It may not be monetary at all. You know, your
- 7:19Speaker 1: level of success could be tied up in community service.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It could be tied up in family. It could be
- 7:25Speaker 1: tied up into church. Your level of success could be
- 7:28Speaker 1: tied up into boys clubs. It could be any number
- 7:32Speaker 1: of things. Whatever your level of success is, you have
- 7:36Speaker 1: to determine what that is you and the best way
- 7:38Speaker 1: to determine that is to get in touch with your maker,
- 7:43Speaker 1: who created you, to find out what your mission and
- 7:46Speaker 1: your purpose is so he can put you on track.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I just had this conversation with my son and we
- 7:53Speaker 1: were talking about getting on the path that God has
- 7:57Speaker 1: set up for you. So many times times we find
- 8:00Speaker 1: ourselves fighting through life because of so much uncertainty, because
- 8:05Speaker 1: we have no idea where we're headed. It's like one
- 8:10Speaker 1: of my own sayings that I have at my mentoring
- 8:14Speaker 1: camp for boys is is that a boy without a
- 8:19Speaker 1: male role model is like an explorer without a map.
- 8:24Speaker 1: See if you don't have a map laid out in
- 8:28Speaker 1: front of you of where you're going when you wake
- 8:32Speaker 1: up every day. That pretty much explains the feeling of confusion,
- 8:38Speaker 1: the laxadaisical attitude, the lack of purpose, to not understanding
- 8:45Speaker 1: your mission because you don't have not gotten in touch
- 8:50Speaker 1: with your creator to find out exactly what your path
- 8:54Speaker 1: in life is. What are you supposed to be doing
- 8:57Speaker 1: the moment you can identify that it is the moment
- 9:01Speaker 1: that you get started waking up with purpose, with the
- 9:05Speaker 1: sense of direction. When you kill the sense of I
- 9:08Speaker 1: don't know what's next or what to do. Now, there's
- 9:11Speaker 1: going to be some confusing moments no matter what happened,
- 9:13Speaker 1: It's going to be some uncertainty, but at least you'll
- 9:16Speaker 1: know where you're going. So if you're tied a waking
- 9:19Speaker 1: up feeling loss, abandon confused, don't know what to do,
- 9:24Speaker 1: don't know what you're supposed to be doing, refer back
- 9:29Speaker 1: to your makeup. Because when He created you, he had
- 9:33Speaker 1: a plan for you. When he created you, he had
- 9:36Speaker 1: a path for you. Now we've made some decisions to
- 9:39Speaker 1: get off of both of those, the mission and the path.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But God can get you right back on track. Do
- 9:46Speaker 1: that today, asking what you're supposed to be doing and listen.
- 9:52Speaker 1: God has all the answers if you form the relationship. Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening, Ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, voters, African Americans, latinos
- 10:18Speaker 1: Asian Americans, Native Americans, White Americans. Yep. Today is a
- 10:30Speaker 1: great day for democracy. Today. Some things that's going down,
- 10:40Speaker 1: some things will be proven. A change is in the air.
- 10:46Speaker 1: We are here, We are live witnessing history on several labels,
- 10:50Speaker 1: on several levels. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:54Speaker 1: We are here to educate, stimulate, human Milly eight. That's
- 11:03Speaker 1: the eigger side of the show. Embarrassed, claim victory, be
- 11:11Speaker 1: graceful at the same time, put it in your face. Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 1: all of this with a level of dignity and a
- 11:24Speaker 1: level of assuredness, ladies and gentlemen. Shirley Strawberry, Good morning,
- 11:31Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. What a morning it is. Colin Pharrell, Good morning, Georgia.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I don't know why Junior ain't on this damn zoom,
- 11:44Speaker 1: but June, okay, let me press. Maybe it's one of
- 11:46Speaker 1: my but let me go find this button over here
- 11:49Speaker 1: because I need to tell Yeah, let me do that.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I got it. Don't worry about it. You know this
- 11:56Speaker 1: little this thing supposed to be fifteen for you, got
- 11:59Speaker 1: open it. He's doing all that on the A. Yeah. Well,
- 12:02Speaker 1: you know people need to know what I'm going through radio.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I just set up man, and and and and and
- 12:08Speaker 1: and and went with all of them. Anyway, Junior Morning, everybody,
- 12:14Speaker 1: Morning Georgia. Ye, nephew, Tommy in that great getting up moment. Okay,
- 12:22Speaker 1: are you on the zool? Now you ain't on the zoom.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It'll be there in a minute. Take your time. I
- 12:26Speaker 1: don't worry about I'm coming. Okay. I need everybody, need
- 12:29Speaker 1: your all face, all hands on that. This is a
- 12:31Speaker 1: great morning. Came down. Man, what a great day. I
- 12:42Speaker 1: want to thank you all. I want to thank first
- 12:45Speaker 1: of all the Morning show team for being uh diligent,
- 12:50Speaker 1: for being purposeful, for keeping it in the forefronts of
- 12:54Speaker 1: our programming, for voting, Carla, Shirley Monica behind the scenes
- 13:00Speaker 1: making it happen Junior, Tommy, Jay Georgia. But I want
- 13:04Speaker 1: to thank most of all the voters in the state
- 13:09Speaker 1: of Georgia who have made a difference. I want to
- 13:14Speaker 1: say congratulations to the Black Lives Matter movement, because this
- 13:19Speaker 1: all started when young people rab that trombone up and
- 13:24Speaker 1: started playing it. And if they don't think that black
- 13:27Speaker 1: lives matter, now, trust me, y'all, I bet they do now.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I bet they do. Now. Welcome to the Steve Harvey
- 13:36Speaker 1: Morning Show and the dawning of a new day. Yes, Lords,
- 13:42Speaker 1: voting counts, baby, you're listening, all right. We have a
- 13:48Speaker 1: lot to get to today, guys. First of all, we
- 13:50Speaker 1: gotta say we've been saying it. Thank you Georgia. Thank
- 13:54Speaker 1: you Georgia for showing up. Thank you so much. CNN
- 13:58Speaker 1: is predicting that it's objecting that Reverend Raphael Warnock is
- 14:02Speaker 1: Georgia's first black senator. Thank you, Lord Warnock beat Republican
- 14:08Speaker 1: Kelly Leffler, and John Assoft has widened his lead over
- 14:12Speaker 1: Dave Purdue. Votes who still being counted. Congress will get
- 14:16Speaker 1: an update on the election results at one pm today,
- 14:19Speaker 1: and we'll be watching the votes that are left counted
- 14:23Speaker 1: and the last ones they've been counted again are in
- 14:27Speaker 1: counties that are heavily populated by blacks and browns. Now
- 14:32Speaker 1: our whites there, make no mistake about it. A lot
- 14:34Speaker 1: of whites voted for Assoft and a lot of whites
- 14:37Speaker 1: voted for Warnock. Warnock, and we do appreciate that. We
- 14:41Speaker 1: appreciate the concerted effort. There is more hope for unity
- 14:45Speaker 1: than it is for division. There is more hope for
- 14:49Speaker 1: love than it is for hate. The only thing about
- 14:51Speaker 1: hate is hate happens to be louder than love. And
- 14:55Speaker 1: that's what's been prevailing force over the last four years.
- 14:59Speaker 1: His hateful ass has been allowed to perpetrate his hate,
- 15:04Speaker 1: bigotry and lies. The sad part about it is so
- 15:08Speaker 1: many people believe the lies, know it's a lot, and
- 15:11Speaker 1: just go along with it anyway. I understand. Then now
- 15:14Speaker 1: some people who are just less and don't really know
- 15:18Speaker 1: that these are lies. They just want to believe in
- 15:20Speaker 1: the person they voted for. I understand that. But the
- 15:23Speaker 1: politicians know better. And what I'm most proud of is
- 15:30Speaker 1: black people have made a difference in Everybody knows it.
- 15:37Speaker 1: CNN know it, Fox know it. Mitch mccomnell know it.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Graham know it. The Republican Party know it. Kelly Leffler
- 15:48Speaker 1: know it. David Produce know it, Warnock know it, Allsoft
- 15:53Speaker 1: know it. Biden knows it. I want to send a
- 15:56Speaker 1: special shout out on a special thank you. These are
- 15:59Speaker 1: the people who am real. That sister from Spellman, Stacy Abrams,
- 16:06Speaker 1: Queen Lord girl, what a bad girl she is. That
- 16:12Speaker 1: other sister from Howard University, another tremendous sister, and that
- 16:22Speaker 1: brother from Molehouse, Raphael Warna, the HBCUs. If you don't
- 16:32Speaker 1: think that the HBCUs then showed up. They are here
- 16:37Speaker 1: and to be accounted for. Black lives matter, our votes matter.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And let me tell y'all something, man, if you don't
- 16:44Speaker 1: think they're paying close attention right now, because but voter suppression,
- 16:48Speaker 1: we're not having that no more. You ain't suppressing no
- 16:51Speaker 1: more of our votes. I know you're gonna continue to try.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I know that's been your trademark over the years. Voter
- 16:56Speaker 1: suppression is real. But now you have awakened to sleep.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Giant mar Luther King said, I may not get there
- 17:06Speaker 1: with you, but we as a people will get to
- 17:09Speaker 1: the mountain top. How ironic that a man from his
- 17:13Speaker 1: church reverend is the first black senator in the state
- 17:18Speaker 1: of Georgia. Home of Stone Mountain, home of the hill
- 17:23Speaker 1: top of the clue. Klex Clink started, Oh man, you
- 17:28Speaker 1: don't understand what's happening today. This is a great day
- 17:32Speaker 1: for us. History is made on so many levels. Man,
- 17:36Speaker 1: and this girl, this woman, this powerful sister, Stacy Abrams.
- 17:41Speaker 1: She gets you can't say her name enough, that's right.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And she's known on on a national platform. Right, everybody's
- 17:52Speaker 1: saying anybody and and and and and all that racist
- 17:56Speaker 1: commentary coming from the right and all that all. I'm
- 17:59Speaker 1: so glad I had them adds this off TV A sicker,
- 18:04Speaker 1: this radical laughed Raphael War Not God, America. It don't
- 18:12Speaker 1: take that longer beat to say. Damn okay, no, no, really,
- 18:17Speaker 1: listen to me. I'm telling they took it all out
- 18:20Speaker 1: of contact. Listen to me. They took that all that contact.
- 18:25Speaker 1: They don't even know what the man was talking about.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Duty yea God, dude, America. That don't take that long
- 18:36Speaker 1: to say. Plus, it's that cuss word is one word
- 18:42Speaker 1: and it and it ain't God. Break it down. I'm
- 18:47Speaker 1: a professional customer. I mean, I listen to me. I
- 18:50Speaker 1: had to talk to a man one time after show.
- 18:52Speaker 1: He said, I was really disappointed in you as a Christian.
- 18:55Speaker 1: We're backstage signing off. I said what he said, you
- 18:57Speaker 1: use the Lord's name in vain. That's a holder, man.
- 18:59Speaker 1: What if you you ever heard me use Lawd's name.
- 19:01Speaker 1: He said, you use it when you said GD, I
- 19:04Speaker 1: said GD. He said god blake. I said, no, that
- 19:07Speaker 1: ain't what I said. I said God. I never, I never,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I never thought the word was god blake. Yeah, I've
- 19:16Speaker 1: always thought it was got. That's how my daddy said
- 19:20Speaker 1: to me. Got and then it ain't just damn it's
- 19:24Speaker 1: damn it. Yeah, it's got, and it right after that,
- 19:31Speaker 1: damn it. It's just a class now. Yeah. No, I'm trying.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to help y'all. See y'all, y'all young ass
- 19:42Speaker 1: people don't know the history of customing, where it comes from. It.
- 19:45Speaker 1: That's why when they bleeped out his god a bar,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I went, what let's let's let's continue to celebrate. We
- 19:56Speaker 1: all celebrating this. But I'm educating. Didn't didn't tell you
- 20:01Speaker 1: at the top, don't tell me, I said, we are
- 20:02Speaker 1: going to educate, stimulate. Then I said, humiliate. This is
- 20:10Speaker 1: a part of the humiliation. I don't really care. Look,
- 20:13Speaker 1: we've done our job. We don't went to the polls.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I'm so proud of us. We went to the polls. Yes,
- 20:20Speaker 1: we showed up. We don't. We don't shut this dope man,
- 20:24Speaker 1: y'all don't. I'm telling y'all, you don't shook the world. Now.
- 20:29Speaker 1: They don't know what to do. Black lives matter. The
- 20:35Speaker 1: votes matter. When your vote starts taking people out of power, position,
- 20:40Speaker 1: and money, they now have to take vote of suppression
- 20:44Speaker 1: and start dealing with your policies and your issues, and
- 20:47Speaker 1: they can no longer take our votes for granted. Thank you, Steve.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Welcome on it, right, some of it all right? Run
- 20:57Speaker 1: that brank back with the nephew coming up right after this.
- 21:01Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show, all right. Coming up
- 21:05Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, civil rights attorney Benjamin
- 21:08Speaker 1: Crump will be our special guests, um, all morning long.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Of course, we're thanking the Georgia voters. Thank you so much,
- 21:15Speaker 1: Georgia Reverend Raffael Warnock as Georgia's first black senator, and
- 21:20Speaker 1: John ass Up has widened his lead over David Purdue.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Votes are still being counted. Uh, and we'll keep you posted,
- 21:27Speaker 1: of course. But right now the nephew you can hear him,
- 21:30Speaker 1: is here to make us laugh. Would run that prank back?
- 21:33Speaker 1: What's you guy for us? Now that's the break to
- 21:43Speaker 1: tell me the quote doctor King said, we as a
- 21:46Speaker 1: people get to what I may not get there with you,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but we as the people's shall get to the promise,
- 21:52Speaker 1: the promise, lad, not the mountain top. All right, my bad,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Tommy correcting Offiah. I just I was going with mountain
- 22:00Speaker 1: kind of attention. I wanted to get your heart was there? Yeah? Plus,
- 22:04Speaker 1: you know if I was there with him writing the
- 22:06Speaker 1: most famous speech, I probably with him went with mountaintop,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and then the speech wouldn't have been as good. So
- 22:12Speaker 1: you know that's why I wasn't mountaintop here. Now, that's
- 22:16Speaker 1: why I wasn't in the room. Then, you know, keep
- 22:19Speaker 1: your little comedy ass over there sowhere. I write speeches
- 22:23Speaker 1: that last the rest of course of time. You speaking
- 22:26Speaker 1: of comedy. Let's mask baby, mask cup. That's the prank.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Let's go Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Vicky. Vicky,
- 22:36Speaker 1: this is Malik. I'm calling from Wigs and More. I'm sorry,
- 22:42Speaker 1: whatn't okay? You? You you order with us? What? What? What? What?
- 22:47Speaker 1: What kind of order do you have? Yeah? I ordered
- 22:50Speaker 1: Kiki Twist one B for backs, matter of fact, and
- 22:53Speaker 1: they still haven't came. In. So that's why I think,
- 22:55Speaker 1: can you calling me about No? I'm like I said,
- 22:57Speaker 1: my name is Malik. You know I just started working
- 22:59Speaker 1: in form I was in the last eight months. But
- 23:02Speaker 1: the reason for calling you is that I noticed the
- 23:04Speaker 1: last couple of times that you come here that you
- 23:08Speaker 1: know your your mask is not on, you know, just
- 23:11Speaker 1: hanging off your ear or your ten right, So I'm trying.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I'm you know, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 23:17Speaker 1: no no, you're not calling me about no mask. Baby's
- 23:19Speaker 1: be coming about by my hair? Keep coming. I'm calling
- 23:22Speaker 1: about to have Now when your hair come in, we

- 24:31Speaker 1: a little whipsided, but my little grand baby made this
- 24:34Speaker 1: mask for her kk Okay, can she make a man
- 24:39Speaker 1: fit your gut? That fit your face? Oh? Hell now?

- 25:11Speaker 1: Calling me calling I'm calling customers that they're wearing their

- 28:17Speaker 1: Tim and said hey hey. Toma said hey girl, Hey Tommy,
- 28:24Speaker 1: we love you, baby uncle Tommy. Um, you were a
- 28:30Speaker 1: little scared of hurt Tommy. Oh Man, stop playing by,
- 28:33Speaker 1: stop breathing my style. Best one year? Okay, all right,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you're the king. Keep your hair looking good, a baby girl.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Ye always, Mitch McConnell. Listen, listen. Coming up at the
- 28:55Speaker 1: top of the hour, We're gonna switch gears here and
- 28:58Speaker 1: uh bring our good friend and attorney Ben Crump and
- 29:02Speaker 1: he will be our special guests coming up at the
- 29:04Speaker 1: top of the hour. You don't want to miss it.
- 29:06Speaker 1: You're listening. Show all right, Happy New Year, We are here,
- 29:16Speaker 1: special guests, Happy runoff. Yes, well we got a special guest.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Everybody joining us now is well the trial lawyer of
- 29:26Speaker 1: our times. I would have to say he's the most
- 29:29Speaker 1: sought after rights attorney to date, and he's been on
- 29:34Speaker 1: the front lines of some of the most notable cases
- 29:38Speaker 1: of civil rights injustice, and he's joining us today. Everybody
- 29:41Speaker 1: discussed another bad ruling in Kennosha, Wisconsin, whether the DA
- 29:46Speaker 1: decided there would be no charges file against the cop
- 29:49Speaker 1: that shot Jacob Blake in the back seven times in
- 29:52Speaker 1: front of his children. Let's get to it. Please, Welcome
- 29:55Speaker 1: to the show. Attorney Benjamin Crump, Good morning, everybody, Happy
- 30:01Speaker 1: New Year despite the Jacob Blake ruling, because we are
- 30:06Speaker 1: celebrating that African Americans have delivered for the Democratic Party.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Come out of House, Senate and the White House. Yes, sir, yes,
- 30:22Speaker 1: yes we did. You know, it's bad news, but it's
- 30:27Speaker 1: you know, we're still making head weight here. So Attorney
- 30:30Speaker 1: Crump that the Kenosha District Attorney Michael Gravely yesterday announced
- 30:37Speaker 1: uh that his office wouldn't seek charges against Rustin Schefsky.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I think that's his name, thirty one year old white
- 30:44Speaker 1: Kenosha police officer who shot Blake in the back seven times.
- 30:48Speaker 1: What how? How can they reach this conclusion, Steve. I'm
- 30:54Speaker 1: so happy to get to talk to you and to
- 30:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morning Shell about this just miscarriage of justice
- 31:04Speaker 1: that we see with our own eyes. I mean, they've
- 31:07Speaker 1: passed some ridiculous rulings in the past, but this may
- 31:11Speaker 1: really take the cake when you consider the fact that
- 31:16Speaker 1: they are trying to convince us that a young black
- 31:19Speaker 1: man going away, running away trying to get away from
- 31:24Speaker 1: the police with his back to the police. It's a
- 31:28Speaker 1: threat to them when you just supposed a couple of
- 31:32Speaker 1: days after they shot Jacob Blake Julian in the back
- 31:35Speaker 1: seven times, Steve, a young white man Kyle Rittenhouse, shot
- 31:41Speaker 1: three people, killing two of them, and then put an
- 31:45Speaker 1: a soft weapon around his neck and walked towards the police,
- 31:50Speaker 1: walked towards the National Guard, and they said that he
- 31:54Speaker 1: was not a threat. So just just asternine and I
- 31:58Speaker 1: know we'll break down the details Steve of Jacob Blake,
- 32:02Speaker 1: but I just wanted to have the audience just suppose
- 32:05Speaker 1: that they mind for a second of black man with
- 32:08Speaker 1: no gun running away from you, you consider him a threat.
- 32:11Speaker 1: A white man killing people walking towards you. You don't
- 32:16Speaker 1: consider him a threat at all, even though he got
- 32:18Speaker 1: the thought weapon, because he's white. Because he's white. So
- 32:23Speaker 1: now I have two questions two points. First of all,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I just want to ask the audience and people listening,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and I know they're gonna see what I see. But
- 32:32Speaker 1: it's amazing how the grand juries and the das never
- 32:35Speaker 1: see the same footage we see. They see the same footage,
- 32:37Speaker 1: but they don't see what we see. I'm that's stunning
- 32:40Speaker 1: to me. Never gonna get past that. What, brother, do
- 32:45Speaker 1: you know is evading the police to go to the
- 32:52Speaker 1: car to get a knife, knowing the dude he evading
- 32:56Speaker 1: got a gun. Let's just start there My second point,
- 33:01Speaker 1: and this is a legal question, brother Benjamin. Yes, sir,
- 33:06Speaker 1: I understand there were no charges against the police, but
- 33:09Speaker 1: there were also no charges levity against Blake. Is that correct? Yes,
- 33:15Speaker 1: no charges left against Blake. So now okay, stay right
- 33:20Speaker 1: there with it. Here's my question. If the police ain't
- 33:24Speaker 1: do nothing wrong and Blake don't have no charges and
- 33:29Speaker 1: he didn't done nothing wrong, why he gets shot seven
- 33:32Speaker 1: times in the back? See, if you got no charges
- 33:35Speaker 1: against the man, what did you shoot the man for?
- 33:39Speaker 1: That's helped me with that part. Yeah, now, Steve, that
- 33:43Speaker 1: is a profound question you pose. So let's let's take
- 33:48Speaker 1: both of those questions in order that you ask them.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Number One, when you consider the fact that the DA
- 33:58Speaker 1: said he's not going to charge the police because of
- 34:00Speaker 1: self defense, well you then must establish that there was
- 34:06Speaker 1: a requisite intent on behalf of Jacob Blake Junior to
- 34:11Speaker 1: do something that would threaten the police officer. You see
- 34:16Speaker 1: nowhere in that video that he launched at the police,
- 34:20Speaker 1: that he parted a knife, that the police did anything
- 34:23Speaker 1: to the police other than try to move away from him.
- 34:26Speaker 1: And so if you're looking at that, Steve Harvey, you
- 34:30Speaker 1: didn't have to say, have the police officer established that
- 34:35Speaker 1: he's an intimate fear or threat of his life? And
- 34:40Speaker 1: once you think about that element that they must prove
- 34:44Speaker 1: you didn't say, hol On. If the police is saying
- 34:47Speaker 1: that he was in fear of his life, then why
- 34:51Speaker 1: is he following the person? All you have to do
- 34:55Speaker 1: is step back, set up a perimeter, and he and
- 34:59Speaker 1: his fellow officers can be out of harm's way. That's
- 35:03Speaker 1: why I'm so afternine this defense that they say that
- 35:08Speaker 1: shooting was justified because of self defense. So that's that's
- 35:12Speaker 1: number one, Steve Harvey. Number two and I call your attorney,
- 35:18Speaker 1: Steve Harvey for this one because you asked the quintessential question.
- 35:23Speaker 1: If Jacob isn't charged, if the police isn't charged, then
- 35:28Speaker 1: why is it legal and justifiable for them to shoot
- 35:33Speaker 1: Jacob in the black seven times, paralyzing him in front
- 35:38Speaker 1: of his three children who were five years old, six
- 35:42Speaker 1: years old, and a crump hunger hang on one second,
- 35:47Speaker 1: will be right back. Hang on, we gotta go to
- 35:48Speaker 1: break right quick. Hang on, you're listening, Hi, everybody. Uh yeah,
- 35:55Speaker 1: we're back and our special guests been holding Attorney Benjamin Crump.
- 36:00Speaker 1: We've been discussing the the fact that the Kenosha Police
- 36:06Speaker 1: Department has come back and with the no charges from
- 36:10Speaker 1: the District Attorney Michael Gravity, no charges will be pressed
- 36:13Speaker 1: against the white Kenosha officer, Rustin Keshley, thirty one years old,
- 36:18Speaker 1: who shot Jacob blaken Back thirty seven times. Um. We
- 36:24Speaker 1: we've also been trying to figure out on the break
- 36:26Speaker 1: how Nesto is and uh as we move forward, we
- 36:30Speaker 1: are trying. Don't worry about that. We're trying to figure
- 36:33Speaker 1: out however that we'll get into that later. I'm sorry
- 36:37Speaker 1: about that, Crump. It's just a really personal deep thing. Anyway,
- 36:42Speaker 1: we're here with Benjamin Crump, my good friend, my frat brother,
- 36:46Speaker 1: a man. On a personal note. I can't tell you
- 36:49Speaker 1: how proud that Freddy is of you, brother, Just just
- 36:55Speaker 1: proud of you man for the work you put in continuously.
- 36:58Speaker 1: We're proud of uh. Stacy Abrams HBCU spellman queen who
- 37:06Speaker 1: spearheaded has has done so much work in change in
- 37:09Speaker 1: the face of this election, another h HBCU Kamala Harris
- 37:16Speaker 1: the vice president, first black African American, and then another
- 37:22Speaker 1: HBCU stellar performers, new Senator uh Raphael Warnock from Morehouse,
- 37:34Speaker 1: were just his showing out. But anyway, man, hey, we've
- 37:38Speaker 1: been talking about this, but there's another case too that
- 37:41Speaker 1: you've been brought into. What is this Soho case? I
- 37:45Speaker 1: don't know the lady's name, they calling him Soho Karen.
- 37:48Speaker 1: This case right here is what teh walk us through.
- 37:55Speaker 1: What happened with the cell phone in New York. I
- 37:58Speaker 1: absolutely well, and Steve, you make us proud brother. I mean,
- 38:03Speaker 1: if people don't know the conversations you and our have,
- 38:06Speaker 1: how you mentor and teach me about making sure that
- 38:10Speaker 1: black people continue to get Jeffice not only the courtrooms
- 38:14Speaker 1: but economic justice. That's what Kamala Harrison I talk about
- 38:17Speaker 1: all the time. We not only can Jeff say we
- 38:21Speaker 1: want our people not to get caught up in the
- 38:24Speaker 1: discriminatory criminal justice system, not get fossil accused, but we
- 38:27Speaker 1: also want them to be able to achieve their American
- 38:31Speaker 1: dream of life to Liberton, to pursuit of happiness. You
- 38:35Speaker 1: show us how to do that every day. See, so
- 38:37Speaker 1: I just have to say, Benjamin Crump, let's I appreciate
- 38:40Speaker 1: Listen to me. We out of time because we on
- 38:42Speaker 1: the radio show. You know, you know when you live,
- 38:45Speaker 1: you got to go. Can you come back and discuss
- 38:48Speaker 1: so whole caring with us this week? I will because
- 38:52Speaker 1: she's gonna get arrested. Steve, and I need you to
- 38:55Speaker 1: break down for accusing our kids. All right, cool, we'll
- 39:01Speaker 1: take that. Next time we talk to you. We love you, Crump.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Until we get back, we'll explain everything what's going on.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Stay strong, brother y. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:14Speaker 1: All right, listen. We want to take phone calls right here,
- 39:17Speaker 1: okay eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve eight seven seven
- 39:20Speaker 1: twenty nine. Steve, please call us and let us know
- 39:23Speaker 1: what's on your mind. And while we're looking through the phones,
- 39:26Speaker 1: we gotta say once again, thank you to the State
- 39:29Speaker 1: of Georgia. Thank you, George, Georgia, Thank you Georgia. Sing it, Tommy, George,
- 39:36Speaker 1: don't do that. Don't think it. Call, don't encourage him.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Sing it, Tommy, hit it. No, he didn't again. Listen
- 39:48Speaker 1: to him again Georgia. I was calling a person John, Yeah,
- 40:01Speaker 1: I don't me hear you do it? Bowie? Oh that
- 40:04Speaker 1: ain't that ain't my song, but just saying the song Georgia. Nice, Georgia, Like,
- 40:14Speaker 1: can you want harmonize? Oh wait, Tommy don't know what harmony?
- 40:18Speaker 1: Just take time, come on, come on, here we go.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Go ahead, Georgia. No, say Tommy to harmonize. Because your
- 40:32Speaker 1: harmonize you have to say another key, another note on Tommy.
- 40:37Speaker 1: You do know Steve Harvey aka David Ruff. All right,
- 40:42Speaker 1: let's let's go to line one and talk to Doug
- 40:46Speaker 1: from Augusta, Georgia, Kentucky. Dug, Yes, sir, how you doing
- 40:52Speaker 1: this morning? What's up man? What's on your mind? Doug? Man,
- 40:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you this is one of the better mornings
- 40:57Speaker 1: I've had in Augusta after being here for twenty years.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I tell you, Steve, come on. I like to say
- 41:03Speaker 1: one thing. I'm fifty eight years old, right, and the
- 41:06Speaker 1: very first time I've ever voted was in November of
- 41:09Speaker 1: last year, and I like to say, my vote does matter.
- 41:13Speaker 1: That's gonna be my new Yes, my vote does matter.
- 41:17Speaker 1: It does. This is a great, glorious morning that does
- 41:21Speaker 1: and see he's an example. Doug is an example of
- 41:24Speaker 1: what I've been trying to tell politician to people. When
- 41:27Speaker 1: Donald Trump and the Republicans pose an argument, how can
- 41:31Speaker 1: Joe Biden get more Black votes than President Obama, it
- 41:35Speaker 1: is simply because more black people registered due to the
- 41:40Speaker 1: efforts of people like Stacy Abrams. I'm not gonna, I'm
- 41:45Speaker 1: not gonna let y'all forget this sister man because of
- 41:48Speaker 1: her efforts in the state of Georgia. But then across
- 41:53Speaker 1: it they spearheaded a lot of movement to get more
- 41:56Speaker 1: people registered. That's why and this man, fifty eight years
- 42:00Speaker 1: old voted for the first time. Congratulations Doug. I'm proud
- 42:04Speaker 1: of you. Man. It ain't ever too late to do
- 42:07Speaker 1: the right thing. It ain't it's ever too late. Appreciate
- 42:11Speaker 1: your man. All right, let's go to line too and
- 42:14Speaker 1: talk to Anne Marie out of New Jersey and Marie.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love you guys, Oh my god.
- 42:22Speaker 1: By scene, I love you. Yes, your mind. I madeira
- 42:29Speaker 1: shot yesterday. I didn't want to take it, but I
- 42:33Speaker 1: ended up taking it because I'm working the outcare field.
- 42:36Speaker 1: I work in administration. Though my sister and her daughter
- 42:40Speaker 1: he's a nurse, and my mom is visiting from Jamaica.
- 42:45Speaker 1: She's with my sister and she's not really getting well
- 42:48Speaker 1: right now, and I wanted to go over to New
- 42:50Speaker 1: York to visit her. That's for the reason why I
- 42:53Speaker 1: take it. Okay, took her vaccination. Okay. You know, I'm
- 42:58Speaker 1: hearing a lot of people saying different things about this vaccination.
- 43:03Speaker 1: I guess as an individual choice, m but please don't
- 43:11Speaker 1: let fear, and I know that's hard to say, uh,
- 43:16Speaker 1: guide your decisions. Look, this is a global pandemic. Something's
- 43:20Speaker 1: happened here that's never happened before. And learn the facts,
- 43:28Speaker 1: be educated, and make a decision from there. Don't don't
- 43:32Speaker 1: go into something superstitious ass corner and and get sick ignorantly. Yeah,
- 43:39Speaker 1: just off of ignorance. That's my suggestion. That's good advice.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Marie did it, did it? Yeah? She was looking at

- 48:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna call your mother. Okay, I'm gonna call miss

- 49:12Speaker 1: you want me to tell Tommy? Then I just told
- 49:15Speaker 1: you I don't know anybody named Tommy. So you can

- 51:36Speaker 1: should have got Obamacare when it was my favorite, that
- 51:40Speaker 1: was my favorite. You should have got Obamacare when it
- 51:45Speaker 1: was y'all coming up. I ain't got no insurance. Ye
- 51:50Speaker 1: should have got a Bamacare when Hey, if you want
- 51:56Speaker 1: to catch me where I really got some sense, catch
- 51:58Speaker 1: me on Friday night on Baby Ready to Love? You
- 52:01Speaker 1: don't want to get said? That is nine pm, eight centsual,
- 52:04Speaker 1: Ready to Love, last resort that, nephew, I got a
- 52:06Speaker 1: little sense on there. I promise you I'm not gonna
- 52:08Speaker 1: let you down. Come check me out on Friday night. Yes,
- 52:11Speaker 1: surprisingly you do. Yeah that's a little bit. Oh, it's
- 52:14Speaker 1: so good. We love it, We love it. Yeah, it's
- 52:16Speaker 1: a little yeah. Yeah. You do your things in the
- 52:20Speaker 1: couples and giving out relation. How to make my mama,
- 52:23Speaker 1: make my mama proud. Yeah, you do a great job.
- 52:28Speaker 1: My whole family loves that show. It's really good, Mama.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna sit down and and binge watch it really good. Yeah,
- 52:38Speaker 1: you can fall in love. There's gonna be some people
- 52:40Speaker 1: get on your nerve now. Yeah, I'm used to that though.
- 52:44Speaker 1: The President Trump for years of his ass I can
- 52:49Speaker 1: take somebody getting no money, so years of his athlesis,
- 52:54Speaker 1: and I hope we don't have no drama today. Man,
- 52:56Speaker 1: I really don't account vote Tommy. This is a meaningless
- 53:02Speaker 1: gesture writing right, yes, they don't have enough people. This
- 53:06Speaker 1: is to flex in front and to show that they
- 53:09Speaker 1: Trump supporters dating the day with their boy Trumps going
- 53:12Speaker 1: backfire on the Strawberry letter coming up next. I really
- 53:16Speaker 1: didn't click with his wife. It's a subject. Right after this,
- 53:19Speaker 1: you're listening to Steven Show. All right, one more time.
- 53:24Speaker 1: We gotta say thank you Georgia, Thank you Georgia for
- 53:28Speaker 1: getting out the voter. Warnock is Georgia's first black senator
- 53:34Speaker 1: and Joan Astof is widening his lead over Dave. He's
- 53:39Speaker 1: currently on CNN talking to voters right now. Alsoff is
- 53:45Speaker 1: all right, I mean his lead is really widening. Man,
- 53:48Speaker 1: it's like eight, It's like it's sixteen thousand now, Yeah,
- 53:52Speaker 1: and he's got point four percent edge over Purdue. If
- 53:57Speaker 1: you get to point five and above, you can't have
- 54:00Speaker 1: a recount, and we still have votes in If we
- 54:03Speaker 1: get to above point five, there's no recount in Georgia,
- 54:07Speaker 1: so Produce can say what he want to say. And
- 54:10Speaker 1: if it keep going like it's going, maybe above the
- 54:14Speaker 1: point five number, and they're all have to deserve a
- 54:18Speaker 1: couple of weeks off. They do, they did, do you
- 54:22Speaker 1: know what we do. I'm just gonna be real with you, man,
- 54:28Speaker 1: I think I can speak for the team. We're exhausted.
- 54:32Speaker 1: We've been pushing hard all year long. I mean for
- 54:36Speaker 1: the first time. I mean I'm used to working, but
- 54:39Speaker 1: for the first time in radio. I didn't take any
- 54:42Speaker 1: time off in twenty twenty because we were committed on
- 54:48Speaker 1: this show to the COVID, to keeping our people informed
- 54:52Speaker 1: about the COVID, face mask washing, the hands, social distancing,
- 54:59Speaker 1: be careful, full, stay home. We did all of that
- 55:02Speaker 1: and then the election. Yeah, we kept our voice on
- 55:07Speaker 1: the radio from January all the way to November without
- 55:12Speaker 1: a vacation. That's commitment. Yes, So you're damn right time out.
- 55:18Speaker 1: Thank you to our audience. Everyone and listens to the
- 55:21Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show every day. We appreciate you, and

- 55:32Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey

- 55:39Speaker 1: be reading your letter live like we're gonna read this
- 55:42Speaker 1: one right here, right now. Buckle up, hold on tight.
- 55:45Speaker 1: We got it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 55:48Speaker 1: I love the subject. I really didn't click with his wife,
- 55:54Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. Yeah. I met a great guy on a
- 55:56Speaker 1: dating website and we ended up getting really close and
- 56:00Speaker 1: after a few months of dating, we got a place together.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Four months later, I found out he is very happily
- 56:06Speaker 1: married and he's having a baby, but not by his wife.
- 56:10Speaker 1: After he came clean about everything, I jumped on him,
- 56:13Speaker 1: and he did not lay a finger on me because
- 56:16Speaker 1: he knew he was wrong. He stayed in the relationship
- 56:19Speaker 1: with me and eventually introduced me to the girl that's
- 56:22Speaker 1: having his son. I wasn't interested in being friendly to her,
- 56:25Speaker 1: so he didn't force it. He was very eager for
- 56:28Speaker 1: me to meet his wife, and I agreed to I'm
- 56:31Speaker 1: older than he is, and I'm a bit old fashioned
- 56:33Speaker 1: and like to do things the old school way, so
- 56:36Speaker 1: I told him to invite his wife over to our
- 56:38Speaker 1: place for dinner. I must admit that his wife is
- 56:42Speaker 1: cool and really beautiful, but we didn't click right away.
- 56:46Speaker 1: She spent the first night at our house and all
- 56:49Speaker 1: of us slept together that night. We continued to mess around,
- 56:53Speaker 1: and I was cool with sharing her husband, but things
- 56:56Speaker 1: started going downhill fast. He started letting his wife use
- 57:00Speaker 1: my car, and when I had extra money, he'd borrow
- 57:03Speaker 1: it to do something nice for his wife. This is
- 57:05Speaker 1: the craziest letter. I didn't really click with her, so
- 57:08Speaker 1: I didn't appreciate him using my resources to help her.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Then his wife lost her job during the lockdown, so
- 57:15Speaker 1: he asked if she could stay with us for a
- 57:17Speaker 1: while till she could move back to her mom's house. Now,
- 57:22Speaker 1: now that she's there, it's like three's company and I'm
- 57:24Speaker 1: taking care of him and his wife. I told him
- 57:27Speaker 1: I didn't really care for her, and he's putting her
- 57:29Speaker 1: needs over mine. I want to get out of this
- 57:32Speaker 1: three way situation and have him all to myself. Do
- 57:35Speaker 1: you think this can happen? Now? Please advise? Wait a minute,
- 57:39Speaker 1: what okay? The facts quickly? You met him online, moved
- 57:45Speaker 1: in with him after only a few months of dating.
- 57:48Speaker 1: He's got a girlfriend who's pregnant. You're the girlfriend with
- 57:52Speaker 1: the apartment and the money, obviously, and then he's got
- 57:54Speaker 1: a wife who's obviously nuts or something. I don't know
- 57:57Speaker 1: what's going on there, say that, because who does that?
- 58:00Speaker 1: I mean, what wife do you know would would move
- 58:03Speaker 1: in with her husband's girlfriend sleep in the same bed
- 58:05Speaker 1: with them every single night. I'm I'm sure they're open
- 58:08Speaker 1: marriages out there that where this happens, you know, for
- 58:11Speaker 1: a freaky date night or something every now and then.
- 58:14Speaker 1: But all of this, all the time, this living arrangement
- 58:18Speaker 1: is crazy. And this guy, who is this guy? He's
- 58:22Speaker 1: got these women acting like this, meeting each other, liking
- 58:25Speaker 1: each other. I mean, is this Denzel? Is this injurious?
- 58:29Speaker 1: Somebody tell me? Is this the new Black Bachelor? What
- 58:32Speaker 1: it's going on? I don't know why you're doing all
- 58:37Speaker 1: of this. You know you don't want to. You don't
- 58:40Speaker 1: even get along with his wife. You're taking care of
- 58:42Speaker 1: her too. I just say, stop letting them use you
- 58:47Speaker 1: as their personal sex toy or sex slave. Whatever you are,
- 58:50Speaker 1: get out of this relationship because you get nothing in
- 58:53Speaker 1: return here nothing. What happens if his other girlfriend falls
- 58:57Speaker 1: unhart times? Was she and the baby move in with you?
- 59:00Speaker 1: Guys too? You will always have to share him. You'll
- 59:05Speaker 1: never have him to yourself. He's not that kind of guy. Okay,
- 59:09Speaker 1: I say, put everyone out of your house and just
- 59:11Speaker 1: stop this madness. What is wrong with you? Steve? Uh
- 59:19Speaker 1: your speechless? I don't I don't know where that starts crazy.
- 59:24Speaker 1: This is the most frightening letter. I mean, I wasn't
- 59:29Speaker 1: expecting this. It just can't. I need a bell tone
- 59:33Speaker 1: to do my letter properly. I needed bill tone, and
- 59:38Speaker 1: when I asked for it, I just want you to
- 59:39Speaker 1: go ding. I need a bell tone, cat, or a
- 59:42Speaker 1: buzzer sound and a buzzer or beat it anything. As
- 59:45Speaker 1: soon as you get it, Cat, let me know this
- 59:48Speaker 1: this letter, y'all, I want. First of all, I wan't
- 59:50Speaker 1: apologize to the audience. Cast this too early in the
- 59:53Speaker 1: year for this. Yeah, you know this is like, this
- 59:55Speaker 1: is just way too early in the year, this type
- 59:58Speaker 1: of letter where six you know, we've been dealing with
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: the election and everything, and then we've been trying to
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: get a vote. It's really just two damn much. When
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I come back, man, hell, I don't know after. I'll
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: be back in twenty three minutes after the hour, Part
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: two of your response, Part one. I don't really click
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: with his wife. That's the subject. We'll be back right
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steven Show, All right,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's crazy, crazy strawberry letter.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: I didn't really click with his wife as a subject.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Don't worry about this. This letter were shot. So let
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: me just before we read this letter. I can't help
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: nobody in this letter. I just saw for Shirley's reading.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I've coached the clusion I can't help nobody in this
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Let him this letter right hill. As he goes on,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: it just goes from bad to worse to worse, sir,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: to worse us. This is horrible. So let us go.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: And this is how I see. Let everybody ready what
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: they rolled on this letter. Asked my team to participate
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: in this letter. Here we go. This is how I
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: read this letter. Subject, I really don't click with his wife.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Huh what? Here we go? This Steven Sherley. I met
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a great guy on a Dayton web site and we
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: ended up getting really close, and after a few months
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: of Dayton, we gotta place together. Huh what? What? Four
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: months later I find out he's very happily married and
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: he's having a baby, but not by his wife. Huh what? Uh? Huh?
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: After he came clean about everything, I jumped on him,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: but he adn't lay a finger on me because he
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: knew he was wrong. Huh Yeah. He stayed in the
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: relationship with me, huh what what? And eventually introduced me
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: to the girl that's having his son. Huh why. I
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: wasn't interested in being friendly to her, so he didn't
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: force it. He was very eager for me to meet
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: his wife, and I agreed to huh what why what?
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I'm older than he is, and I'm a bit old
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: fashioned and liked to do things the old school way,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: So I told him to invite his wife over to
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: our place for dinner. Huh why. I must admit that
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: his wife is cool and really beautiful. Huh what? But
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: we didn't click right away? What? She spent the first
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: night at our house huh what? And we all slept
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: together at night. Huh what? What? What? What is happening?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: In his letter? Man, We continued to mess around and
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I was cool with her sharing her husband, but things
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: started going down here fast. He started letting his wife
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: use my car. Huh what? And when I had extra money,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: he barried to do something nice for his wife. What what? What?
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I ain't really click with her? What what? What? I
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: ain't really click with her? So I didn't appreciate him
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: using my resources to help hu? Hu what? What? Then?
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Then his wife lost her job during the lockdown? What? Huh? What? What?
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: When she said lockdown? What does she refer? Oh? I
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: thought they had all went to jail? What the letter crazy?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I thought that all went to jail and doing lockdown,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: you know, lights out. I thought that, I'm sorry, that's
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: what lost her job doing the lockdown? So he asked
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: he so, he asked if she could stay with us
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: for a while till she can move back to her
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: mom's house. Huh what what? Now that she's there, it's
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: like threes company and I'm taking care of him and
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: his wife. Huh what? What? I told him I don't
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: really care for her, and he putting her needs over mind?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: Huh what? What? What I want to get out of
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: this three way situation and have him all to myself.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: What what what do you think that can happen? Please
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: advise what this nutting? The nut is. We don't have
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: no comment. We just wanted to read it back to you.

- 1:06:43Speaker 1: did not go to a quarterback. I know that first time.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: And since Desmond High was from Michigan wide receiver has
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: won the Heisman Trophy, we haven't given a big shout
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: out to devote smith Man. Yeah, road tied. Let's take
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: a listen to his speech though. Tada, young kids out there,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: that's not the biggest, not the strongest. Just keep pushing
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: because I'm not the biggest. I've been dout of a
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: lot just because of my size. And really it just
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: calms down to you put your mind to it, you
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: can do it. No job's too big. If you put
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: your mind to it, you can do it. And just
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: keep believing in God and you'll get where you want
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: to be. It is wo man, Yeah, the biggest, you
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: got to be the fastest. I'm a big I'm a

- 1:07:36Speaker 1: is going to the playoffs. But y'all got some problems
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: in the lock. Oh yeah, Well, your head coach Kevin
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Stefanski and additional members of his coaching staff and two
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: players have tested positive for COVID nineteen and we'll be
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: sitting out the AFC wild Card game COVID. Yeah time, Cleveland,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Yeah we should we had. We lost all our WIBs
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the COVID protocol two weeks ago. Now we ain't got
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: no damn coach. They we got that dumb ass young
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: boy that was drag racing the other night in a
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: little stupid as receiver, dumb man for out there. They
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: dragged racing right photo playoffs where you drag racing clean
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: that all that damn snow. You need to go coach
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: from Steve. That's what you need to do. You know
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: what this is happened to Cleveland? Like stuff like that,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Like you have a celebration and then something else tragic
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: happened like that. It's just always something Jo. We just
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: can't have a Cleveland and everything. Yes, that's why they
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: say if you can make it in Cleveland, you can
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: make it anywhere. Because if if something fit to happen,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: you probably gonna happen in Cleveland, y'all will be playing
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Sunday night. Man. I think y'all together, and you know, man,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say this. Man, I don't want nobody
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: email in and all the here tweeting about what I'm
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: about to say. I think, cause it's Cleveland down to
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: just overlooked the COVID protocol and let the sick ass
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: get on out there. Sick ass track wise not crazy,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: then I'm track We ain't worth eighteen years we've been

- 1:10:37Speaker 1: routine kept me going and following y'all throughout the throughout
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the shutdown and everything. It helped me get through. And
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I want to thank y'all for that. That's good small
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: business owner yea, yeah, making them good videos. Yeah, I
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: know he can cut to good, good hands, hand cares
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: about the Philadelphia community. And this is not medical or
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: Frank de Barber. This could help your depression sometimes. Cussom cussing, man,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Just try hard like I got, not too much well,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: you know, I such like combinations. You gotta put them together.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: You got to know how to put the words together,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: and it will help you with the depression. So next
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: time you, oh, are you for real right now? Like
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: like here's like doctor Steve, okay, like okay, I'm gonna
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: give you an example, Frankly, Like whenever I started feeling down,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I asked my self, Now that the cuss word at
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: the end you feel in yourself. But it's a full
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: letter and you put it in. And this is how

- 1:12:23Speaker 1: Thank you, Franklin, come love you boy. All right, thank you, Franklin.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Let's go to line three and talk to Nikki out
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: of Mississippi. All right, Oh lord, doctor zil what what
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: what's her name? Nikki? I? Oh, you know we're in
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: you never know he had you know, Gwendolin. What's on
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: your mind? Nikki? I want to thank you all this morning.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: So much for courage, said everyone to get out and vote,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: even when it seems like we didn't have anything to
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: vote for, even when it seems like every time we
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: went out to vote our vote into account. I want
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: to encourage you all for doing that, that we are
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: some amazing people when we realize how much power we
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: actually have. Wow, thank you very nice. The brothers said
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: it in Detroit, the best we've gone from picking cotton
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: to picking presidents. Yes, right, you have to understand what
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: we've overcome and still overcoming, and for us to be
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: where we are is absolutely attribute to our spirit as
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: a people. And I just encourage us, man, to continue
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: striving for greatness because we're gonna we're gonna get that.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: We're not there yet, but we're going to get that.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: We are an unstoppable for us. Our faith alone has
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: gotten us through the unthinkable times. Listen to me, man,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: do you understand what really has happened to black people
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: is really unthinkable? If you think about what all was
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: done from start to now unthinkable? You're right, all right,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Thank you for your phone calls. Yeah, we'll talk about
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: doctor Dre and what he's going through when we come
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: back at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, prayer warriors,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: prayer warriors, we are talking to you. We need to
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: send a prayer of healing out to doctor Dre. If
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: you haven't heard by now, doctor Dre suffered a brain
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: aneurysm yesterday. But then last night doctor Dre shared encouraging news.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: He posted a message and he thanked everyone for their
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: love and support. He thanked the staff at Cedar, and
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: he's announcing that he's doing good and he'll be home soon.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: So prayer works, prayer work. That is really really good
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: to hear. That's a lesson, man. I normally don't hear
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: good news like that. Yeah. Yeah. But then, according to
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: tmz uh, some burglars apparently heard the story about doctor
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: Dre being in the hospital, so they took that opportunity
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: to go and burglarize his Pacific Palisades home around two am. Yeah,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: I mean it really. Security spott at them as they
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: were casing the house. Before they could even get into
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: the main structure, security confronted them quickly call the police.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: The men fled, but the cops arrived and almost immediately
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: and Chase. It was four of them and they arrested them.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: So that is good good. I really hope he's really
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: what he's supposed to be. You ain't got to worry.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Take that off your papon. All right, we'll be back,

- 1:16:32Speaker 1: has been elected as George's first black senator. Who congratulations.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: John Ausof widens his lead over David Purdue. John Auso
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: already declared victory. Actually, and now the poll workers, Uh,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: they have to get rest like everyone else. So they're
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: gonna start counting again at about ten this morning. And
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I'll bet you they're tired. Yeah, they're tired. You know.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I mean, they've been going at it. They've been criticized,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: you know, by the president for for the November third election,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: but um, you know they got to do their job.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Call call a pol work. Oh, Okay, all right, this

- 1:19:32Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, it'll be our last break of
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: the day. In some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey right after this you're listening to show
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: all right, guys, here we are, last break of the day,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: last break of the day, before we get out of
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: here one more time. Congratulations to the state of Georgia. Yeah,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: so happy about this. Thank you, thank you, Thank you
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: for voting. Thank you Georgia. You showed up, you voted
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: for our democracy. Now we have our senator elect, Reverend
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Raphael Warnock, because he's been elected as George's first black senator.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Congratulations to him. Yes, close behind. He has widened his
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: lead over David Purdue. He's also already declared victory, so
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: he's looking real good right now. Yeah, yeah, you know.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: But here's my closing remark today. You know, uh, listen, man,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: we have been talking for a solid year now about voting.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: We have been imploring, pleading, enlightening, sharing knowledge, giving out websites,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: showing up every day without missing a beat, encouraging, pleading.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: We've done everything. I could not be proud of our
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: efforts to turn out to vote. I can now not
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: be more prouder of the vote turnout. I was proud
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: of the people who voted in the senatorial election and
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: the runoff election that didn't even vote in the presidential election.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: It kept the message clear that we were clearly kept
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: driving the message home, and it was reaching people. What
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: has happened today is historical. A traditionally red state turned blue,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: and it turned blue for several reasons. First of all,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Stacy Abrams, this sister, don't don't you all, don't please,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: don't don't short play what this woman did. Man, this
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: woman is a bad sister. Man, This is a bad,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: bad sister right here. I'm not saying she did it
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: single handily, but she spearheaded this thing and she got
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: and motivated a sheer number of people that not only
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: affected Georgia, they took that blue wave and used it
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: across the country. And so this sister, and they know
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: that they're talking about her, but I don't think they're
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: talking about her enough. The next part of this is
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: the black vote. Now, listen to me. You can't just
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: have black people voting and make a president. You have
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to have white votes, you have to have brown votes,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: you have to have yellow, red votes. You have to
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: have a rainbow of votes to become president of the
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: United States. I understand that, and I do applaud everybody
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: who took the time out to vote. Well, I'm just
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: talking to black people right now and people of color
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: because our vote has been taken for granted for so long,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: and we have been the recipient of vote of suppression
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: for so long. Over the years, they've done everything to
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: suppress our vote, made it more difficult, remove polling stations,
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: made the requirements different, implemented new laws, change districts. They've
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: done everything to us, Internet, bad publicity, false what you're
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: calling poles and everything. They've done everything to suppress the vote.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: It didn't work this time. It did not work, and
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: we showed up and we determined what was going to happen.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: A brother said it in Detroit. We've gone from picking
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: cotton to picking presidents. We put this president in the
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: White House, we put the vice president in the White House.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: If black people had not showed up and brown people
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: in the numbers that they showed up in this election
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: would be totally different. We'd be dealing with Donald Trump,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell, and every other person that don't give a
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: damn about us. But you voted, and you change things.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: And as I said before, let me tell you something,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Black lives matter more now than ever before. They can
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: keep saying it if they want to. And we're gonna
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: get to these police and we're gonna deal with police
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: brutality and we're gonna get it. We're gonna get a
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: handle on this. It's gonna take a minute, but we're
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: gonna get a handle on this. But if you thought
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: that this movement that the young people created this year
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: doing COVID, that black lives matter was not important, one
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: of them the most important movements I've seen sister civil
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: rights movement in the sixties. I've been alive for both
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: of them. I'm probably more proud of the movement today
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: because it was so many young people. Now, civil rights
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: movement was a lot of young people too. But you
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: teach you, but you need young people to bring about change.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: And you young people, the basketball players, the artists, the
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: college students, the workers, and all the factories that pushed
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: and voted from the post office, to the Steel meals,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: to wherever you're from. Man, y'all made a difference. They
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: don't want to admit even Trump don't want to admit
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: their black lives matter when they matter now though, I
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: bet they matter now. When you start costing people they
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: position their power and their money, you have their undivided attention. Congratulations,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter has taken a giant leap forward. And
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: don't you think that it ain't because y'all change the
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: world today. Georgia, Atlanta, Savannah, Columbus, Augusta. All, y'all Brunswick,
