- 0:21Sure. After dusk is more dark when the
- 0:28podcast always after Some more dark, it's after we're going to
- 0:38ask questions. We've got a bunch of questions
- 0:40from the community that I've gathered from our patreon and
- 0:43Twitter. Some of the DMS.

- 2:50So, damn, I could you not talk about my friend like that?
- 2:54Oh, we're friends. Wow, I didn't know that they
- 2:59made now. You know I'm a traditional dad
- 3:06bod kind of guy with dad jokes to make it cry.
- 3:10That's absolutely true. Nice and we love it.
- 3:13It's a menace a menace to society straight and Dad
- 3:17Minister Society. Well we have some questions for
- 3:23you who is that? I'm binary otherwise known as
- 3:31binary dragon on Twitter. The GM of the podcast, no
- 3:34latency. I stream on Twitch and I do
- 3:36acting sometimes. It's a lot of fun.
- 3:40That's me. We're not his the crew of no
- 3:42latency and today we're going to answer questions from the
- 3:46audience about ttip G's cyberpunk, red.
- 3:49And the story that we tell it's gonna be lots of fun.
- 3:52I'm going to start with a really simple one.
- 3:53How long has everyone been playing TT RPGs and this is from
- 3:56patreon patreon. The like, is it, do we know the
- 4:01user? Yeah, crazy.
- 4:06Crazy. Willow Breezy, I I started
- 4:10playing my first ever Dungeons and Dragons game.
- 4:15When I was a freshman in college, which was God 2011.
- 4:21So, I've been playing table tops for 11 years and I just like, I
- 4:28had one game and I fell in love and I just have not stopped.
- 4:32Damn, I started a high school. I played Fourth edition Dungeons
- 4:40& Dragons because fifth almost a now, ya know 3.5 no but that
- 4:47hey, you know, fourth was weird, those whose super weird.
- 4:54I wasn't that into it, honestly. But then in college, when five
- 4:58fifth edition came out, I got the starter kit, I ordered the
- 5:03starter kit in the mail, lost it or did it again then?
- 5:07Found it. So I had two starter kits and
- 5:10then ran into games and I didn't even have the dungeon manual and
- 5:18they ran stuff. After the starter kit, I died
- 5:22like Verge from the starter kit without even having any of the
- 5:25core books and I loved it. I loved it a lot.
- 5:29I played with my housemates and I got all the other books and
- 5:34I've been playing and dming ever since.
- 5:39Well, my story is way more unique than your guys's.
- 5:45You see you guys all started in college.
- 5:47I started in college. Also in High School, fourth
- 5:54edition, I will say, I will say that.
- 6:01So I actually I started in 2012, I knew that there was like this
- 6:06like DND was like doing it a new thing and I was like, oh, that's
- 6:09cool. And then I was like, oh wow,
- 6:11these books are $50. I can't do that.
- 6:14So then I went online. I was like, maybe I could like
- 6:16find like a pirated version and I'm gonna shush.
- 6:19I mean I didn't somewhat, I actually end up finding is a
- 6:23free-to-play it. What what it was was essentially
- 6:29D and D 3.5 but with like you know, the serial code grab
- 6:36shaved off. This is illegal I think knowing
- 6:40how to something else. But no, no, because I actually
- 6:43I'm not because the the rules the rules 50.5 were were
- 6:49released under Creative Commons. So the Like rules themselves.
- 6:53You could like find easily and someone had like, taken them and
- 6:58put a new skin on it, essentially.
- 7:00And I printed out like an entire, I went to like the, it
- 7:11was, it was, it was called basic fantasy, RPG is what it was
- 7:16called. And I printed out and do good
- 7:27dudes and dragons. No, but I print out like all 150
- 7:32Pages, unlike, you know, eight and a half by 11 at the at the
- 7:36library, the library. And then got it bound and then
- 7:42spent like a good week reading the rules because I've never
- 7:45like I had no idea what it was. Like, I've never had an
- 7:48introduction to D&D. I just heard that it was cool
- 7:50and I was there at the something that like that you could do it.
- 7:53I was like, I'm nerdy. I'm already in the subculture.
- 7:55I'm gonna learn how to do d and d.
- 7:56And so I read this thing front, like cover cover.
- 7:59Didn't understand a lick of it, and then put it away and went.
- 8:03That's too complicated. I don't understand it.
- 8:05And didn't pick it up for another year.
- 8:07When D and e 5e officially came out and which case then I bought
- 8:13the starter kit and I bought the starter kit
- 8:29for and then after that and we even playing the same.
- 8:34We had been playing the same group of characters for six
- 8:38years. It Was so awesome.
- 8:39And then the pandemic ID and then they kind of that's it.
- 8:44Them. We we we didn't get those
- 8:47characters was to say we got that group back together we did
- 8:51for a little bit. It was great and Grand, but it
- 8:55didn't survive the, the digital transition.
- 9:01But I love it now and I've spent like no joke, I've probably
- 9:04spent thousands of dollars on RPG books.
- 9:09So, yeah, I may have may have taken, the cheap way out to
- 9:12begin with, but I'm in it for the long haul, he paid for it
- 9:15eventually. So, I also kind of got started
- 9:21and high school. Technically, I'm a high school.
- 9:25Dropout, I went to trade school when I was younger and I was a
- 9:30nerd. So I played Magic, the Gathering
- 9:32and guy that played Magic. The Gathering with noticed that
- 9:37I use. To make stories while playing
- 9:39the game with how my cards were played.
- 9:43So he invited me to play Dungeons and Dragons with him.
- 9:46The thing is that we didn't have a players manual or a dungeon
- 9:50Master's manual or anything like that.
- 9:53Um, apparently this is like very early 2000s so there wasn't
- 10:00really the internet too much to go to.
- 10:04My DM, just went and bought a bunch of adventure books from a
- 10:07place called Half Price Books in the stack of, like, 30 of them,
- 10:11that he popped for 20 bucks and we just made up a character and
- 10:15just rolled a D20. And if you got a high enough
- 10:18then what he said, you just did it.
- 10:22And that was how we played. That sounds amazing.
- 10:25I mean when you strip everything back, that's pretty much the
- 10:28game. Is this?
- 10:29Yep. Yeah, you can be surprised.
- 10:33How far you can go without any rules.
- 10:35People always ask me. They're like, they're like, are
- 10:38you know, I want to play, but it seems like really hard and like,
- 10:40it's not, you're literally just playing pretend they're like,
- 10:43yeah, but there are a lot of rules.
- 10:44I'm like nobody gives a shit about the rules.
- 10:46Now, listen to me people. If you give a shit about the
- 10:48rules, if you get, if you give That's fine.
- 10:53But don't be a dick about it. Yeah, thank you really.
- 10:56You don't need the rules. You're just playing just
- 10:58playing. So it's like it's it's like
- 11:03improv prompts really, isn't it exactly essentially.
- 11:07No absolute. Give the structure.
- 11:08Yeah, I started in TPP ttip. Geez.
- 11:11When I was a kid playing 3.5 I love Me, and my also like
- 11:22Pathfinder. So me and me and a few of my
- 11:32friends got together. We played this game and I
- 11:34remember, I DM as my first ever Dungeons and Dragons experience
- 11:38and we were playing this game and I gave them this room.
- 11:42And the only puzzle I had was that the door was unlocked and
- 11:44everything, but the door was indestructible, but unlocked and
- 11:47they spent 25 minutes trying to break down that door.
- 11:49And then the quiet one went, I just open it.
- 11:51I was like yeah, it's open. They went in and they beat the
- 11:54dragon or whatever. I put in front of them.
- 11:56But that's the most sort of - D&D memory I have is just this
- 11:59really dumb puzzle that I thought was going to take like
- 12:01two seconds and just be a little bit of a joke.
- 12:03Like, oh no one ever checks. If it's open, I'm glad you stuck
- 12:07to your guns and like didn't help them.
- 12:10It is watch them struggle for like there.
- 12:12That's what I thought I was meant to do.
- 12:14No, I'm glad you didn't break your resolve.
- 12:20No, I didn't. And I played a little bit over
- 12:22the phone with my friend who lived really far away when I was
- 12:24a kid. And then I took a huge break and
- 12:26then I met this Person on the internet called Jade and they
- 12:30were like drunk person do to play some.
- 12:32Do do, do you teach so Jason? That's me.
- 12:36Mocking you mocking me? Right.
- 12:39So it's Jade's fault that I'm here.
- 12:42Hmm, told you tomorrow, it's also dates fault that I'm here.
- 12:47It's weird. It's like I bring people
- 12:49together to play games. I like that question.
- 12:55Thanks so much Breezy. We've got another question from
- 12:57patreon, which I think moves on quite quickly and it kind of
- 13:00lets us talk about the game. We're playing right now, which
- 13:02is cyberpunk. How did you come up with your
- 13:04character Concepts and what made you choose to life path?
- 13:08/ role that you did and that's from swirly ink on patreon.
- 13:13Thanks for all the ink. That's a good question actually.
- 13:19Actually I this is not a hard question for me, because as soon
- 13:23as I was brought into this idea of a podcast, I knew exactly.
- 13:31I was like, oh, I definitely want to be just a cowboy from
- 13:36the Badlands and the the toughest question for me was
- 13:40like, what is this guy's deal? You know, II knew that the basic
- 13:46Idea. It was going to be just
- 13:49Gunslinger from the Badlands but like what was what was the thing
- 13:54that made him interesting? And I gotta say, I love being
- 14:00the butt of the joke. I will happily be the one that
- 14:04fumbles through and gets people into trouble just because I
- 14:07think that's interesting. So if there is a, if there's a
- 14:11button that says, don't press Jebel, probably press it.
- 14:15Right? So that's just something.
- 14:18Hey, those of you who are worried, if everyone's being
- 14:21mean to jab, like that's the thing that he wants to be just
- 14:24for the record. Like, we're all friends.
- 14:27Is there. Is there any evidence on the
- 14:30internet? That sounds like, oh man,
- 14:32they're really mean to jab. I'm so now literally no one has
- 14:35ever said that no one has ever said.
- 14:37There is a, there is one review on on each other.
- 14:49Oh my God, like I have heard of anybody on this planet.
- 14:58You sometimes you just don't like the people.
- 15:00You end up getting paired up with I mean, but carry on Jeb.
- 15:03I'm sorry Korean Seafood. No, no, that was that's pretty
- 15:07much it. Like, I knew immediately I was
- 15:10like boom. Well, so the one thing was I was
- 15:13at first you know you look through all like the classes and
- 15:16stuff and cyberpunk. And we started this podcast,
- 15:19when cyberpunk, it's a video game had like relatively
- 15:22recently come out. And so like, that was a pretty
- 15:25big inspiration, but I was like, I don't know, all that stuff.
- 15:29Seems like really like standard. Like what something different
- 15:33like. Oh A cowboy duh.
- 15:37And so it was just Cowboy plus Shenanigans equals jib, guys.
- 15:45I was really easy to because I was also in the middle of doing
- 15:49a bunch of research for a book, I'm trying to write.
- 15:52I've been researching Japan in Samurai and Japanese culture in
- 15:57Japanese history, a lot. And so I was like, well, I
- 16:01don't, I know there's like Samurai and Cyberpunk Street
- 16:06Samurai. And I know there's arisaka and
- 16:09all that stuff because I didn't I didn't know anything about
- 16:11cyberpunk, really. So, but I vaguely knew about
- 16:13that. There was some sort of Japanese
- 16:15home involved, so I'm like, oh why don't I just lean into that?
- 16:18Be a samurai assassin with a cool robot arm and he was kind
- 16:24of boilerplate at first. And I kind of just, you know,
- 16:29stoic Samurai, which is kind of opposite.
- 16:32I like playing really silly character.
- 16:33So this is kind of opposite. It of what I normally play but I
- 16:38kind of found his vibe after a couple of sessions I think of
- 16:42like, what, what his whole deal is, how he gels with the rest of
- 16:46the group, what does morals arms?
- 16:49That sort of stuff? So yeah, mine was like, this is
- 16:53what I'm interested in. Nice now.
- 16:58Evelyn Jade. You'll story's a little
- 17:01different, isn't it? Yeah.
- 17:02Because we created our characters for a One-Shot.
- 17:05Yeah. I remember for me when we talked
- 17:13about doing it, I got super excited and usually it's I do
- 17:16the same thing every time whenever I get pumped to play a
- 17:20game is that I make like about four characters and then find
- 17:24out what everyone else plays and then play the one slot.
- 17:26We kind of need for that. But with with Remy, I got
- 17:31excited actually because nobody picked the one I really wanted,
- 17:34which was tack because I'm such a Giant sci-fi nerd and I got a
- 17:41being Remy. I was like, okay, I want to be
- 17:44this person that's really into Tech, but like, I really want
- 17:49like it to be something showing wise.
- 17:51Which is why I decided I wanted to have Remy have a TV for a
- 17:54head mainly because it was a great aesthetic that I enjoyed,
- 17:59especially from my love of watching anime.
- 18:02I was inspired by a character from illegally.
- 18:07Fooly Cooly. Yes.
- 18:08And Anime called Dead Leaves. Which gave me the idea for
- 18:17having a TV forehead, which to me was like really an
- 18:23interesting point of showing for attack which would make a lot of
- 18:25sense for somebody having that likes kind of the route.
- 18:28They would go but also kind of giving myself somewhat of a
- 18:32handicap because yes Even in cyberpunk deal, this is an
- 18:38extreme kind of look for it. So I thought it would be a much
- 18:43more of a challenge for myself and having to be able to deal
- 18:45with that. Yeah.
- 18:47And Evan, you didn't even know about Saga, all right?
- 18:50You may know. Mmm, Yeah.
- 18:52Cyrus, I freaking love Saga. Yeah.
- 18:55There's a whole race of Television head people, which I
- 18:57thought it was like one you borrowed from, but it's kind of
- 19:01funny that you didn't even know about what I thought was the
- 19:04most popular. Allure TV.
- 19:08Well now if anything about that, it's really good.
- 19:10Yeah, yeah, sure. You did.
- 19:13I Because there were what to other.
- 19:17It was just me and Evan and one other person in the one shot.
- 19:25And Evan and our other player picked.
- 19:29There's and I was like, gosh, let's just like go in through
- 19:33the characters and I was like, I want to be a cop.
- 19:38I don't want to be a rocker boy and then I came across corpo I
- 19:42was like, huh. Huh.
- 19:46We just really funny because you like I don't want to be a cop
- 19:49because I fucking hate cops because I don't be a rock.
- 19:53But because like those guys are douche bags.
- 19:56What a-what a capitalist. Oh I was so intrigued by like
- 20:05how you would play a character like that and so I like I I
- 20:10skimmed it. I hey, I'll tell you guys a
- 20:12secret listeners. I've Never read a fucking book
- 20:15in my life. It shows exactly.
- 20:19Dude. I own an absurd amount of
- 20:29gameplay books for having never read a game, Playbook ice.
- 20:34I like, like spoon. I have spent way too much money
- 20:38on Source material, but I have a feeling, I can only read rules.
- 20:44I get made fun of because I can't read regular books.
- 20:48Mmm, I like that strawberry. Like it.
- 20:51Give me a novel and I'm like, wow, this sounds so interesting
- 20:53and I'll read the first two pages of back.
- 20:55This sounds really good. This great writing and then I'll
- 20:58put it down and read more rules spoon, a spoon will pick up,
- 21:02will pick up a, like, a new game book and read it.
- 21:07Cover to cover in one day. Holy shit.
- 21:10That hurts me inside. I love it, guys.
- 21:14Action. Carry on Jade.
- 21:20I just like I was, I was like, huh?
- 21:22How do I play a capitalist? What's that?
- 21:24Like and I kind of just built. I built them off of like just
- 21:36being a manager, a boss and trying to like run things and I
- 21:43didn't really think about where she would go because we were
- 21:47doing a one shot but afterwards I like built out in the The
- 21:53Source books they have like nice grids and shit to like fill out
- 21:57all your history and I spent a really long time looking at that
- 22:00and thinking and like going back and changing things but the the
- 22:04book really Helped with, with building character wise and I
- 22:08think she ended up being really cool.
- 22:12I mean, I hope she's cool. She's part of the podcast.
- 22:15Iona's fine is a pretty fun. I said, yeah, I owner gets
- 22:18fendall as well. Yeah, yeah, that was one of the
- 22:21cool things is that I could have underlings.
- 22:24And I was like, how is that going to work?
- 22:26Do I play to people? What happens when iI talked to
- 22:28Binary about it about it was like oh no, no, I'll do it.
- 22:31And so now binary is stuck playing my care.
- 22:35Character and eventually question about that.
- 22:38Oh, really? No good.
- 22:39Yeah, we got we got a question on Twitter.
- 22:41I did not write down the name but who decides what then Del
- 22:46does. It's kind of like a part of like
- 22:52a partnership thing. We kind of, you know, we talked
- 22:54about it as it's going but binary and I have like a really
- 22:58good like improv relationship. We bounce off of each other
- 23:01really well. So I think that generally when
- 23:05Playing when we're in the middle of gameplay, we can kind of vibe
- 23:09off of what the other person is doing.
- 23:11Unless like, I have a wild idea about what vendors should be
- 23:14doing by this casually on the same wavelength.
- 23:18We're like, and I didn't might sorry to interrupt you spoon
- 23:21real quick in my head, I always say to myself.
- 23:24Well, I don't really get to choose unless there's a really
- 23:27good story reason. So Jade, your ideas, usually our
- 23:32priority. Yeah, you're going to say
- 23:34something that's been, I was just gonna say, Say that.
- 23:35Like, at this point, it really feels like both you binary.
- 23:40And you Jade just have an understanding of who Vandal is
- 23:44as a character. So it's not really a who decides
- 23:48what van Del does like no. No.
- 23:49Then till we know who Vandal is as a character.
- 23:53So they are going to do the thing that van Del is going to
- 23:56do because that's just who they are.
- 23:59Yeah. No I think that makes total
- 24:01sense. That like honestly at this point
- 24:03I feel like anybody could Those choices for Fidel because we all
- 24:07have a pretty good understanding of what they as a person would
- 24:10do. It is where like that multiple
- 24:13people are playing that character basically.
- 24:16Yeah, we're doing think I was pretty cool, actually.
- 24:18It's really exciting. I like it as a.
- 24:20It's a tough thing to do and I think you have to have a really
- 24:23trusting relationship with your GM and player to be like I'm not
- 24:27going to fuck you over with this but it's still going to be fun.
- 24:30You have asked me though, several times being like hey are
- 24:33you gonna be okay? Avondale dies.
- 24:35Sighs and I'm always like, yeah I mean with this guy's, that's
- 24:39the way it goes. That's the way it goes.
- 24:42Yeah, but it has yet, it has yet to happen.
- 24:44Thank goodness. They did lose a leg.
- 24:45They did. Hey that's the business for it,
- 24:51mortally injured. We got a question from Al tell,
- 24:57sir Ian games on Twitter. Did anyone besides Jeb role
- 25:01romances in their life part? Yes.
- 25:08I rolled a romance that I had with somebody called Felicia
- 25:14heart who ran away with me from my coven when I was young, but
- 25:23things didn't work out between the two of us.
- 25:26And now, after being separated for several years, they have
- 25:31gone off and had their own family.
- 25:33So Remy still kind of Is dealing with that because he still cares
- 25:39for Felicia, Anna. Big way but you know, doesn't
- 25:44want to interrupt their life. That's can get some scared, some
- 25:51deep lore. Let's go.
- 25:54I like the life pod system. Jade, you were talking about it
- 25:57earlier like it's a really good way to just boost you into it.
- 25:59And the great thing about it's like you don't actually have to
- 26:01be like that's what my character does but it can make you make a
- 26:04decision and I like that. I do that.
- 26:06Actually with like every character is honestly, every
- 26:09time, every time I make a character I'm like character
- 26:12background template like let me just fill out these things and
- 26:17it just like it's So I have every time I definitely did make
- 26:23a romance that ended poorly that turned into Like a Knife, you
- 26:29know, like a like an enemy, a knife that for like
- 26:31storytelling, accept my character.
- 26:33She got deleted him, so I don't remember any of it.
- 26:37So it's not. It's like a bad relationship.
- 26:40You have you forgot about. Oh, yeah.
- 26:42Like like, most of my relationships is gone.
- 26:52Delete. I just delete anything.
- 26:53I don't want any way in the cyberpunk world.
- 26:56Yeah. For sure I didn't have one.
- 26:59No, I wanted to focus more on family and I was pretty much
- 27:04like, yeah, raised as an assassin.
- 27:06So there's like, no, no room for that.
- 27:09And everyone that I trained with were more like family.
- 27:12They're not, but there's not any romance involved in my past,
- 27:18maybe in the future. There's something about kills
- 27:23all of arisaka. Maybe maybe some lucky so-and-so
- 27:30finally time down on. What was it?
- 27:33Ember that we call it a? Yeah.
- 27:36But dating. Yeah.
- 27:40So, here's one from Louis on patreon, what has been your
- 27:45favorite moment of the game so far?
- 27:49That's a good question. Mmm.
- 27:57I think I would have to say, my favorite moment was just the
- 28:00introduction and how we went about the whole romance or
- 28:08potential romance that is totally never going to happen,
- 28:12but I just kind of love that. That unrequited love scene,
- 28:16between Jeb and joy, just big fan.
- 28:21I just love the like how awkward it was and how sad it was.
- 28:26I just like laughing at myself. So, that's it.
- 28:31Well, and you're, you're like, love interests.
- 28:33I've brought on some really, really funny moments, like, your
- 28:36interactions with Joy are fucking hilarious.
- 28:39And when we were first introduced to Joy, when we were
- 28:42trying to get like Mendel to pretend to be your honey, that's
- 28:46just like those Vendo moments of.
- 28:48Yes, killing me, so funny. All the nicknames, it was great
- 28:53God, and it's so good. So gay built like that, that
- 28:58fucking callback for fervent Del that.
- 29:01I that I absolutely love. The cowpoke is so good.
- 29:06I think my favorite moment was in the bunker when Remy
- 29:16confronted, I own about what was going on in there and then what
- 29:21happened with nine. Because for me, it was it was a
- 29:27really interesting story, bit as well.
- 29:30As I think, probably one of the more difficult And scary times
- 29:37for me, improving with Jade because you know, we were
- 29:42definitely getting into some tough territory for it, and I
- 29:46think we both were able to make something one.
- 29:51That's really interesting and to be respectful to each other as
- 29:55players doing it. So, it made for me personally,
- 30:01and made me much more comfortable to be able to To
- 30:06have that kind of drama now, which I appreciate, because
- 30:10normally I get very nervous about upsetting somebody with
- 30:13that. So the trust that I have with
- 30:15you all now, to be able to do that, I think helps make the
- 30:18drama. Not as scary for me but still
- 30:21impactful. Yeah, actually I was thinking
- 30:24about that that moment to where you are talking about, you know,
- 30:32telling everyone what's going on and you're leaving because I
- 30:36won't you know I won't let you talk about it or even like tell
- 30:41you what's really happening and I-69 on you.
- 30:45I think about I think about that moment a lot because that's kind
- 30:49of that's the it's the it's the corpo thing like I have to do
- 30:54what I have to do that you know, and if somebody's in the way but
- 31:00yeah it was a really great gameplay moment and it's built
- 31:06kind of like this tie / Rift between Iona and Remy because
- 31:10they've been together the longest but also like have this
- 31:16Like distrust, I really appreciate.
- 31:19It's like a really awesome relationship that we have and
- 31:21it's some of my favorite bits at this game.
- 31:26Okay, I have to one was I think the best joke ever told which is
- 31:34when we asked for like all the vending machines and that I
- 31:38said, do they pop up on a mini-map?
- 31:41Yes, they get revealed when I listen back to that.
- 31:45Fuck. I did not realize how fucking
- 31:48funny that was because I was, I never usually laugh at my own
- 31:51self, but that was the one time I was like that goal.
- 31:57Very funny. Funny shit.
- 31:59I usually, you can find a clip of that on our Facebook page.
- 32:02Oh no. No, I enjoy when we attribute
- 32:06this to video game, especially since I wrote books out, another
- 32:11one is when we did. What's the signal?
- 32:23Sometimes this is more of a serious game but sometimes we
- 32:26just get into really silly money is that's a real signal or the
- 32:29phase signal for so. Oh my God.
- 32:33That was so fun. I don't know how long it got cut
- 32:35down to, but we were probably talking of you plan, you plan
- 32:38for an entire episode goodness. Okay.
- 32:41So it was real time because we spent like I said, five minutes
- 32:46talking about that episode was, I debated cutting it down and I
- 32:55just was like, no, this is what these people do and it was
- 32:58moving constantly because there are new ideas happening.
- 33:01You know. Yeah, I'm so happy.
- 33:03I couldn't cut it. You damn so happy you didn't
- 33:05because that was probably the most I've ever laughed at the
- 33:09podcast was just listening back to what that's the signal
- 33:13everyone was just on. Or jump in and riffing on it.
- 33:16It's like when you get one of those games going in a session,
- 33:20it's just not at all. It's as fun.
- 33:23It's like stuff. You can't have an any other
- 33:26medium, you know, it's like friends hanging out joking while
- 33:31also progressing a story. So, yeah, it's pretty great.
- 33:37I always default to the Flames fella on the ladder moment.
- 33:44Where you rolled wear Jade, rolled personal grooming to
- 33:48fully fire extinguisher. Yeah.
- 33:49Because I believe that's where we started being like, hey, you
- 33:53want to be want to throw some bullshit in which was go.
- 33:55Just make sure that was the beginning of that.
- 34:01That's when we learn, binary will accept anything.
- 34:04It's gonna be cool enough. It's just as long as it's cool
- 34:09and it's one of those things where it's in.
- 34:10It's in all the books. It's in almost every ttip, G.
- 34:13The rule of cool. All should win out every time as
- 34:17long as it's reasonable but I love that episode so much snot
- 34:20group me. That's what we got in our
- 34:24grooves, you know, in that facility.
- 34:26But yeah the yeah, 19 satellite station, not zombies, 90 knots.
- 34:33Obvious. Not yeah, I think that Woodsman
- 34:37we're like we're hitting something good.
- 34:49The Sano and retro show is recorded in front of a live
- 34:52studio audience. Join Sano and retro.
- 34:55The oddest couple in night City exclusively on our patreon at
- 35:00patreon.com forward slash no late.
- 35:03See why the fuck is my bed made? The microwave isn't working?
- 35:09Can you talk to it? What?
- 35:11Will these two get up to next? I don't why you keep sticking
- 35:14your finger in that part. That's not a bowling ball.
- 35:17Oh God. Here's one from patreon.
- 35:33Do you listen to the show and if so, how different is the podcast
- 35:37versus playing the game? I have to say I don't listen I
- 35:40can't there's so many episodes like can't keep up.
- 35:45Oh my God. So I never know what's going on
- 35:48because I don't listen true. It's like a new game every time
- 35:51I play you you probably could guess by the titles of each
- 35:55episode. If in fact I Sin.
- 35:59And I think it's great. Was there?
- 36:03It was there. Another part of that question
- 36:05was how different is it from? Like how like the session?
- 36:10How different is it? The sound effects and music make
- 36:14it? Yeah.
- 36:15Binary so much work and so much time into making it like feel
- 36:21like you're, you know, whole experience and it totally shows,
- 36:25it's amazing. It is a lot more quiet.
- 36:28It and a lot more dare I say there's a lot more ohms and
- 36:36Anne's and spaces and so there's it's not as it's not as clean as
- 36:41binary makes it all sound of. Yeah.
- 36:44It feels like I would a memory. It's pretty clean memory edits
- 36:48out all the arms of yours. Yeah, I remember every one last
- 36:52time. 23 arms. I'm going out trying to cut that
- 36:55in half today. Yeah, like the sound effects.
- 36:58They're so subtle 2's because I usually listen to the car during
- 37:01the work. Sometimes there's stuff going on
- 37:03that I have to like re listen to the episode with headphones on
- 37:06because I'm like, oh my God, that's such a cool sound effect.
- 37:09Like with such a subtle like whistle or ha more.
- 37:12Like or like, I don't even know where he's getting all this
- 37:15stuff and it's so cool. Epidemics pounce?
- 37:20Yeah, yeah. We have a referral link on the
- 37:21website. Yeah, that's where he gets it by
- 37:25the, like, Sometimes you'll enter a room and like I wouldn't
- 37:29have imagined that that room would make that sound, but then
- 37:32you put it in and it's like that's cool, that's really cool.
- 37:36It like makes sense so it's more like honestly watching a show
- 37:41for me. I don't feel like I'm listening
- 37:44to myself. I feel like I'm in watching a
- 37:47show with high production quality and when I'm playing I
- 37:51feel like I'm just messing around.
- 37:53So his I have a very Stark difference between what I
- 37:57listen. And when I, when I play, I
- 38:00agree. I also listen to it when I
- 38:04either when I'm driving home from work or when I'm just
- 38:09painting some Minis. And a lot of times, the choices
- 38:14that are picked are ones that I don't really think of because,
- 38:17like, when we're playing, I have my own imagination about a thing
- 38:20sound, and then I hear it. And I was like, oh, I did not
- 38:24imagine it that way, that actually sounds a lot.
- 38:26Better than I thought it was gonna sound like, it was my own
- 38:29memory failed me, so and it's also like there's also a couple
- 38:34times, right? Listen shows, like I don't
- 38:36remember it being that way. How did it end up here?
- 38:38Turning that way? And then I remember right
- 38:40editing. Yeah.
- 38:44Like the, the flame sword sound effects like a changed.
- 38:47Almost it's yeah. It's it is actually a
- 38:50Janesville. Yeah, slightly edited.
- 38:52But yes it is. Yeah.
- 38:53It's like I didn't even Think of it when it, when you said they
- 38:57would made a noise and it was like like that, I'm like, that's
- 39:00cool. Well, the the sword sound has
- 39:04changed to because it used to be silent and not site.
- 39:06I used to be pretty quiet and had a lot more of like, a laser
- 39:09vibe to it. But after it got broken and
- 39:11repaired by retro and does arguably more damage, but makes
- 39:14more noise. I wanted it to have like sound.
- 39:17Yeah, that's cool. I listened I do listen to the
- 39:22podcast a lot because I edit it. The thing that's that's
- 39:28different for me is I hear I hear when someone has an idea
- 39:35that they don't get to land, Because I hear it because
- 39:39everything is divided into separate tracks.
- 39:41And so, there's this weird thing in my head of, like, I wonder
- 39:43what they would have said every now, and again, doesn't happen
- 39:45very often if I'm honest, it's like once, once a recording
- 39:48session and we do like two or three episodes recording
- 39:49session, there's just one moment where someone's just going and
- 39:52it's always someone different which I like, I like that it's
- 39:55not the same people but there's part of me that's like I wonder
- 39:58what that would have been because by now by the time I've
- 40:01got to that point, I can't text anybody and ask because you have
- 40:04forgotten. So that's that for me that's
- 40:08that's kind of cool. I like so I get to kind of see
- 40:10the slight edges of a Multiverse.
- 40:14I gotta I gotta ask I gotta ask because if no one else is going
- 40:17to ask, I'm gonna do it. So binary, how long does it take
- 40:21for you to do edit these together?
- 40:24Okay, so each episode takes me around about eight hours to edit
- 40:30them. I can Rush that, but I like to
- 40:34take my time as I do it, and I try and split it into two
- 40:39sessions one where I edit everything down and cut out all
- 40:41the arms in the arse, and create a bit more of a.
- 40:43Sometimes I'll move things apart when like the recording has
- 40:48overlapped you and it hasn't really in the real world.
- 40:50Which was interesting that happens occasionally that
- 40:55usually takes about four to six hours and then the ambience in
- 40:58the sound effects. Usually takes like two to four
- 41:00hours depending on how much action there is.
- 41:02So it's a lot of work. It used to take longer.
- 41:06It used to take me like 14 I'm well yeah, it's up.
- 41:09It's a practice. Yeah, yeah that's a lot of
- 41:13effort. You put into this thing?
- 41:16Yeah. But I mean, you know, I love
- 41:17doing it. So it's it's a, it's a There you
- 41:22go. That labor of love.
- 41:25You can hear the passion in the show which is why everybody's
- 41:27listening to this in the first place, huh?
- 41:29Yeah I patreon here's another one for the crew.
- 41:39And this is just a little fun. One, nice and quick.
- 41:42What would your character by if Eddie's were no object?
- 41:46And that's from Breezy on patreon.
- 41:48Jeb doesn't have a good understanding of money or
- 41:52Finance to begin with. So, as far as he's concerned,
- 41:56Eddie's are double object, and, but if he had a lot more at
- 42:03ease, he would probably buy some sort of like a Eat out in the
- 42:09Badlands where no one can like mess with them and then you
- 42:14probably just like, build a whole, like, there'd be an
- 42:17entire section of the estate. That's just just for Sloan, so
- 42:26she can play around and have fun and then he would come on sham
- 42:29for yeah. Yeah, I would imagine that at
- 42:32some point, Jeb would like to retire and just go and like,
- 42:35drive, cars and ride motorcycles.
- 42:39Out around the Badlands just for funsies and not have to worry
- 42:43about being killed and being experimenta Don and being made
- 42:48fun of and you know all those things that come with friends.
- 42:54Yeah I own I would probably Create a space, you know you
- 43:06said a state as funny because I was I was like we create a
- 43:09space, that's completely sterile.
- 43:11I'll like a very very safe space home for themselves.
- 43:19Very pristine and clean. Like right now they we've just
- 43:23recently upped my skill point level so I have gone up which
- 43:30means that I do have a bigger housing from biotechnology.
- 43:34But it's not up to like iona's. Sanitary standards.
- 43:39She spends a lot of time cleaning when not on screen, so
- 43:44probably something. Probably something like that.
- 43:49Yeah, Sana. We get like a mountain.
- 43:52Shrine Auto himself as a tiny little Hut in the forest and
- 43:57meditate and be alone. Retro would only by a massive
- 44:06junkyard that he could use. So that way, all kinds of Parts
- 44:12always have incoming parts and secretly also turn it into a
- 44:18Night Market at some point as well.
- 44:24Yes. Oh, I was just, I was thinking.
- 44:27I was like, ha did. Are we all picking abodes?
- 44:30Because Millennials will never know what it's like to own a
- 44:33home. We're living out our fantasies.
- 44:38I'm owning property. Oh my God, I was gonna say
- 44:41exactly, that guess, even in cyberpunk, we all wish that we
- 44:47had a place to live. We don't really come serial
- 44:53stuff that much the question. Yeah.
- 44:58The question became, what's your like it's?
- 45:00It's dream home. It's what you dream home?
- 45:02Yeah, I guess. I have to admit that that are
- 45:08living problems. Definitely came into the game
- 45:10itself. Because I remember I was talking
- 45:12with binary buddies. Like binary, I don't have a
- 45:14house in the game. Where do I live?
- 45:17What am I sitting down? And I went that's the story.
- 45:24Does anyone else know? Ping would buy out our soccer
- 45:28and liquidate the company by arisaka.
- 45:33Yeah, here's another question from Twitter.
- 45:36I wrote this one down a while ago, and don't remember who
- 45:38asked it. What's your favorite Homebrew
- 45:40rules / thing from the show The Argosy bureaucracy.
- 45:47That's a that's a real from The Book.
- 45:48You'll Homebrew thing we've had a lot of Home breathing slow
- 45:51which have been suggested by you.
- 45:53Oh rescue. So risky.
- 45:57Yeah, the pets. The pads are problem risky.
- 46:01Yeah, II really has been the I have to, I feel like I haven't
- 46:07been using Sloan enough and so and not not so much of like a
- 46:12using her in a mechanical sense, but using Sloan as a As a story
- 46:20device and it was very it was like the main thing of like the
- 46:25first Arc, and then it was just like oh, she's good now and
- 46:30yeah, I want to bring her back because she's certainly a big, a
- 46:34big part of Jeb as a character is and and also very Homebrew,
- 46:39pretty sure she's infected to, with might also Sloan kind of
- 46:46replaces your roll. Write as a nomad because we we
- 46:52didn't really want to do the multiple vehicle thing.
- 46:55We wanted like a Scooby van Going at going out and solve a
- 47:02mystery. Yep.
- 47:04Yeah, I can't really pick one because as Remy, I kind of come
- 47:10up with a lot of Homebrew, stuff for what we need at the time.
- 47:15I just, I say, I enjoy getting to come up with crazy things off
- 47:22the top of my head or what happened.
- 47:24You know, internet Delta, deep diving before playing and being
- 47:28able to pull stuff off such as like exploding the train using a
- 47:33bunch of kitchenware or turning Jeb's bike into a Nitro boost
- 47:40using. I do so from the train that I
- 47:44still or that's my favorite bit is just being able to come up
- 47:50with all kinds of random techie bullshit as per my rule gets to
- 47:55do. Yeah, those are always awesome
- 47:59though. Like always fun.
- 48:01This is so creative. All the things you come even if
- 48:04they're stolen from movies, like no one understands, what movies
- 48:06you talking. So because you never understand
- 48:08what movie were talking about, what I liked was how those what?
- 48:11Very cool. I like my heat sword.
- 48:16I like that. It does more damage but it's
- 48:18loud. I like that trade-off.
- 48:23It has a good story, I like you'll sweat a lot.
- 48:25Mmm, my favourite Homebrew rule is I owners the cell as an
- 48:32advisor just like my spider webs.
- 48:35But this hand sanitizer yeah, II love it as a mechanic because it
- 48:40can really give Iona something solid to react to a curse.
- 48:44Jaden, I just listened to the then one of the newer ones where
- 48:48you freak out where you're yelling and screaming.
- 48:51That's so funny. Yeah, I wish I was thinking
- 48:54outing down since you've had it. I was like, I'm waiting for the
- 48:58time where you roll bad so we get to see it and it hasn't
- 49:02happened for the longest time and then when it did it did
- 49:05happen, it happened. It was glorious way that you
- 49:10handle it, that was just like, I was like, oh, they're gonna
- 49:12freak out. I'm not that bad.
- 49:14No. No.
- 49:14You went full to the wall with it.
- 49:16I was like, oh my God. So now I like that.
- 49:18It affected like the next few episodes.
- 49:22All through the rest of the Steve Mansion.
- 49:25They were there were lots of like, don't touch me, or vendor.
- 49:27Will you punch me while we're in an elevator?
- 49:29So that my shield protects me from germs in The Shield's from
- 49:36Dune, you know, like the body Shields from dude, where you
- 49:41like, if you go slow, you can go through them.
- 49:43But if you go fast, you can't, can we have this?
- 49:46It's the only book that Jade's ever read.
- 49:54That's great. I do I've got some quickfire
- 50:02ones, for individuals. This one is from Twitter.
- 50:05From our tell story. In games is Remy's head an LCD
- 50:08or a see our tea Remy's had, is for sure.
- 50:14A CRT it's not an LED cuz LED would not you wouldn't need that
- 50:21much space for it. So it is an old cathode diode
- 50:24tube TV where they actually had a lot more electronics and you
- 50:29know, the light inside to produce a picture because the TV
- 50:33itself is more of actually a brain case, the whole Remy's
- 50:36head in because backstory for I don't think we've had in there.
- 50:41Remy lost his head when he was 15 years old due to a stray
- 50:45bullet, which destroyed his head and his mentor.
- 50:50Delphine, Rafael was only a Able to put it back together again
- 50:54because they didn't have, they refused to put him inside of a
- 50:57healing tube because several of the soldiers took precedence and
- 51:03he wasn't a soldier. So, nice.
- 51:07Well, now we know. Yeah saw know.
- 51:11How, why did you get the cybertek that you hate if you
- 51:15hate cybertek and that's from patreon from Breezy.
- 51:19Oh yeah. So error Sakura forces you to
- 51:24get cybertek. So a lot of that was that was
- 51:27put in in all the people training while they were growing
- 51:32up, but Sano kind of like understands that it's necessary
- 51:38to do the things he wants to do. So it's kind of like I hate this
- 51:43but I'm going to use it to murder everyone that made me go
- 51:47through this and He understands that two months cybertek is bad
- 51:54as well. So he's tries to get as little
- 51:57as possible. Just his eyes in his arms.
- 52:01He doesn't really want to go more than that.
- 52:05Thank you, Jade. Who does Iona trust the most in
- 52:09the crew, another patreon question from Breezy?
- 52:12Well, okay, then Del obviously and then paying really okay.
- 52:19And then sauna, nope. I'm sorry then Del stranger
- 52:24ping. Sano jebra me if the exact so
- 52:30sorry. And then Bob and then
- 52:38interesting, and then tuna, they're not useless thing.
- 52:42Every care I'm going in order about bottom very bottom of the
- 52:48list is definitely Reeves. Oh no, I said, bitch.
- 52:54Fucked up our mission more than once I've forgot to put Sawtooth
- 53:00in there but he's pretty high. Yeah.
- 53:01No, it don't doubt, it doesn't. I own a still have a crush on
- 53:04sore teeth into Hasn't we haven't like played with it in a
- 53:06while, but know in theory, in theory.
- 53:10Yeah, spoon is Jeb interested in getting any cybertek for himself
- 53:15from patreon, again, from Breezy, Breezy had quite a few
- 53:18questions for everyone. So reason was used to the show
- 53:20Ferry in-depth lie to me notes every every week that are really
- 53:26stylized. They're gorgeous.
- 53:27I'm going to start posting them on patreon with permission.
- 53:30yeah, Jeb is not super interested in cybertech, if
- 53:36anything, especially now that he's been Tested on.
- 53:44I don't think he is very interested in having anything
- 53:49like attached to him or being altered in any way.
- 53:54I think he's also the way I saw and this is I don't think this
- 53:58is Canon at all, like in in the cyberpunk world, like rules as
- 54:04written. But like, I really saw the the
- 54:06different tribes of like the nomads in the Badlands is like
- 54:11being Very influence from like Native American culture and I
- 54:16really like that idea that it's like they're doing their own
- 54:20thing and they're and they're kind of a sovereign people
- 54:24outside of the city and they have like a different culture
- 54:28and they have a different way of looking at the world and like
- 54:31the only reason that Sloane has those cybernetic implants is
- 54:37because she needed them to survive. and I think now, Jeb is
- 54:46kind of perhaps Jeb is, maybe even seeing the the usefulness
- 54:52of them, especially like recently having excuse me,
- 54:56having put a cybernetic eye implant into Into Sloan so I
- 55:04guess we'll see. Maybe maybe he'll kind of come
- 55:07around but as of right now, he heads as wanting to do with it.
- 55:11All right, I have two questions. Left one is a Sano and retro
- 55:16question and the other one is for everyone.
- 55:19So, here is one from Louis on patreon, who's apparently a big
- 55:23fan of this? Uh, no retro show.
- 55:28Who is - spoilers for sidequest? Right now?
- 55:31Where does MaMa Mallard live? Like is she just living in retro
- 55:35and Son as apartment. Is there a pet fee?
- 55:37What are the boys feeding her youth?
- 55:41Isn't that for you? That apartment we have rat.
- 55:54Yeah, that's actually what what, boss man just said, is the right
- 55:58main reason why we have Mama Mallard because mama, my wits
- 56:01keeps the rats away, which is why Sato only kind of puts up
- 56:05with my Mallard. Mama Mallard has indoor only
- 56:11foot Listen to each Handler shake his head.
- 56:13Well it's a bull song retro episodes about how much I hate
- 56:16animals in the apartment. We've had like two or three.
- 56:21That's like why is this dog into this living room?
- 56:24So like, where are you? Keeping mom about.
- 56:28If you have Mama, Mallard is in Remy's bedroom Heda, my mother
- 56:34has her own little Nest. I know that it's not know, gets
- 56:39upset sometimes when I I over fill the bathtub.
- 56:42So that way, my mom, our can paddle around a bit and you
- 56:44know, sometimes, you know, you can get upset when my Mallard
- 56:48starts, you know, quack it up, while you know, you're doing
- 56:52your thing late at night, but you know, my motto has
- 56:54nightmares. Sometimes, you know, they did
- 56:56get kidnapped it to transform into a box.
- 56:58So I mean, you know, get a deal with with my own mallets PTSD.
- 57:10That's a very son, I respond there like that.
- 57:14And finally a question for everybody and I like this one,
- 57:17we got it on Twitter. Again, I wrote it down and
- 57:19apologies I did not write down. Who asked this?
- 57:22Do you have any advice for getting into TT?
- 57:24RPGs that aren't D&D? Is there are good places to
- 57:28start just fucking play a game just playing.
- 57:32Hey, hey. Hey, look at me.
- 57:33Look at me in my eyeballs. Listening to this.
- 57:36Yeah I'm at look at look. Pretend!
- 57:39Hey, close your eyes now pretend you're looking into my eyes.
- 57:42I'm staring into your soul. Close your eyes now for 10, but
- 57:45you're looking through the same eyes that you just close.
- 57:58This is what I cut out the show. It's mostly just Jade fucking
- 58:04fucking Small-time, a lot of listen.
- 58:07Listen, it's just a game. You can make anything into a
- 58:11deep T RPG. If you try hard enough, just
- 58:14play a game. So I'm going to play pretend to
- 58:17close your eyes. Then look into my eyes now.
- 58:20Listen isn't good advice, just play campuses.
- 58:23Are you telling me? No I'm saying just do it.
- 58:26That's what your last name is just can't do it.
- 58:35Like, how is how do you find the not DNT.
- 58:40So yeah, actually a spoon with that spoon.
- 58:43Go ahead. I've been waiting, I've been
- 58:46waiting, you guys, this is this. This question is made for me,
- 58:49because I've gone on many a rants about how everyone just
- 58:54takes d and d and like hacks it to bits, to make it tell a
- 58:59different kind of story because let's be honest, d and e is
- 59:02great. I absolutely loved Andy.
- 59:04I think. Phenomenal.
- 59:05I think fifth edition is the best addition yet, there's so
- 59:08much going for it, but D&D excels at telling one type of
- 59:13story and that is about the larger-than-life, almost
- 59:17superhero, esque characters going on, Monster hunting
- 59:23Adventures. That game is about superheroes
- 59:25fighting monsters and that's fucking awesome, and it's rad as
- 59:30hell, but if you don't want to tell a story about superheroes
- 59:33fighting monsters, You're going to end up packing D and D so far
- 59:39that it won't resemble. It won't be its optimal self.
- 59:44It's like I always like to to liken it to all the mods in
- 59:49Skyrim it's like yeah. You can Mod Skyrim to be a first
- 59:53person shooter. But if that point, why aren't
- 59:56you just playing Counter-Strike? You know, it's like there are
- 1:00:01other games that do that better. You don't have to hack.
- 1:00:05To be Minecraft. Just play Minecraft.
- 1:00:08And that's how I see TT RPGs. If you want to tell a different
- 1:00:12story. There is certainly a labor of
- 1:00:16love that like a few people have put in an abnormal amount of
- 1:00:21time into creating a game made. Just tell that kind of story.
- 1:00:24Do you want to do a heist like heisting stories about in a
- 1:00:31haunted industrial city plates in the dark do?
- 1:00:35You want to play the the equivalent of the X Files or
- 1:00:39Supernatural monster the week? Do you want to play a game about
- 1:00:45the escapades of just an everyday life and all the the
- 1:00:50bombastic - of different peoples?
- 1:00:54Lives, getting entangled play Fiasco.
- 1:00:57Like there's something out there for every type of story.
- 1:01:01You just have to find it. It's just, I mean, going off of
- 1:01:06spoons, Stellar speech. I would say, if you want to find
- 1:01:10any of those games, my best bet would be going to RPG Guild or
- 1:01:15DM's Guild to online. For drive-through LPG is Ruby,
- 1:01:19Jesus. What I was thinking of, sorry,
- 1:01:21that's a really good space to find those.
- 1:01:24If you're not able to find anything that kind of clicks
- 1:01:28with you, that you have like a specific kind of idea, you want
- 1:01:30to try There's always groups, which is a good way to be able
- 1:01:34to help build something that you be interested in building.
- 1:01:37And then another one, which is a little bit easier that I'll
- 1:01:40enjoy, is called Fate, The Fate system.
- 1:01:42I think is a really good one. If you're like, I want to do
- 1:01:46something like there, there's a specific kind of Ip that I want
- 1:01:49to play, and I want to kind of build off of that using the fake
- 1:01:53core system. I think, is always a good one to
- 1:01:55build off of. Yeah, not also, just ask your
- 1:02:00friends or ask, Post online, like, hey then when interested
- 1:02:03in the space game or a horror game or, you know, superhero you
- 1:02:10game that's more specific around hero powers and see who's
- 1:02:16interested. And if they are, you know, play
- 1:02:19it old people, learn new systems.
- 1:02:21If they're interested, you just got to find people that are
- 1:02:24interested. Usually people have played
- 1:02:26indeed, just kind of want to play D & D.
- 1:02:28So you got to figure out who wants to play.
- 1:02:31I don't think it's good for seeing someone else to play your
- 1:02:34dumb space horror game. This want to kill monsters, you
- 1:02:37know, and I will say that you were going to say Oh sure.
- 1:02:43Yeah, some a really, really easy game to like get into until like
- 1:02:49introduced. A lot of people to like the
- 1:02:51gameplay mechanic and story building together as a group, is
- 1:02:55a game that I actually found while looking for a horror TT,
- 1:02:58RPG called 10 candles and it's a Cooperative storytelling to the
- 1:03:03fucking tea, and there's a bajillion stories, you can tell
- 1:03:06with it, but it's all about working together.
- 1:03:10And I think it's a really great place for people to to begin and
- 1:03:15that's similar. And I like that because there's
- 1:03:19this thing in TPP ttip. Jeez.
- 1:03:22You see a lot of other people play multiple sessions of
- 1:03:24something. There's nothing wrong with just
- 1:03:25doing a TT RPG that's designed to be a one shot.
- 1:03:29Mmm. Like was, it's not, it's 11.
- 1:03:31Candles 10. Yeah.
- 1:03:42There's, what was the incident feelings?
- 1:03:43Is also a good one. So then once she has one page,
- 1:03:46yeah. Just try one shot.
- 1:03:48That's why that's what made me fall in love with cyberpunk.
- 1:03:51Mmm. I gotta say.
- 1:03:53One last thing and that is. You also need to know like what
- 1:03:57you enjoy from a, from a TT RPG and what your other friends that
- 1:04:05are going to play with. You also are looking for and
- 1:04:08there is a spectrum there on one side.
- 1:04:11You have very crunchy tactical role-playing games that like
- 1:04:16Verge on The wargaming and on the other side, you have super
- 1:04:22Loosely defined rules that Verge on simply being.
- 1:04:29A improv prompts and exercises and you have to find where you
- 1:04:36value your time and what you want to focus on like and
- 1:04:40honestly D&D skews, much closer to the Tactical than most people
- 1:04:46think, again, that's totally fine.
- 1:04:48And awesome. Like a lot of people love war
- 1:04:50games and a lot of people love just doing improv and you just
- 1:04:54got to find where you land and where that game, but you want to
- 1:04:58play also. Dance because you can play state
- 1:05:02or lasers and feelings or honey Heist till the cows come home.
- 1:05:06But if your friends want to get into like tactical fights and
- 1:05:13like where the little people are going to be then you're not
- 1:05:17there, you're not going to have as much fun.
- 1:05:19I just want to see how much damage I can do with this war
- 1:05:22hammer. The Narrative amount Do you have
- 1:05:30anything else to say to the audience?
- 1:05:31Before we before we finish off this q and a special podcast
