- 0:01Speaker 1: What's easier than actually fighting crime. Well, if you're a Democrat,
- 0:04Speaker 1: apparently lying about the crime stats to make it look
- 0:08Speaker 1: like you're fighting crime is more important than actually saving
- 0:11Speaker 1: American lives. We now know that is exactly what was
- 0:15Speaker 1: happening in Washington, d C. The US Attorney Judge Andeene
- 0:21Speaker 1: said that DC authorities were literally artificially deflating crime stats
- 0:28Speaker 1: to manipulate the numbers to make it look like DC
- 0:31Speaker 1: was safer than it actually was. That's right, The United
- 0:35Speaker 1: States Attorney for the District of Columbia, saying that our
- 0:38Speaker 1: office is investigation into the Metropolitan Police Department revealed widespread
- 0:44Speaker 1: miss classification of crime reports that made DC crime levels
- 0:50Speaker 1: appear lower than they actually were, meaning fewer victims. The
- 0:55Speaker 1: US Attorney for the District of Columbia revealed in a
- 0:57Speaker 1: statement posted to our official ex account that in August
- 1:02Speaker 1: of twenty twenty five, the United States Attorney's Office in
- 1:05Speaker 1: DC began an investigation into the Metropolitan Police Department's reported
- 1:11Speaker 1: deflation of crime statistics. The need for accurate information to
- 1:15Speaker 1: fight crime, she went on to say, is essential, but
- 1:19Speaker 1: that wasn't what Democrats were doing at all in DC.
- 1:23Speaker 1: They just wanted to lie to the people while crime
- 1:26Speaker 1: was out of control, saying it's not as bad as
- 1:28Speaker 1: you think it is. She went on to say this,
- 1:31Speaker 1: after review of almost six thousand reports and the interview
- 1:36Speaker 1: of over fifty witnesses, it is evident that a significant
- 1:41Speaker 1: number of reports had straight up been misclassified, making crime
- 1:46Speaker 1: appear artificially lower than reality. Now, the uncovering of these
- 1:51Speaker 1: manipulated crime statistics make clear that President Trump has reduced
- 1:56Speaker 1: crime even more than originally thought. Since crimes were actually
- 2:00Speaker 1: higher than reported, his crime fighting efforts have delivered even
- 2:04Speaker 1: more safety to the people of the District of Columbia.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Judge Janine concluded that quote, while the conduct did not
- 2:12Speaker 1: rise to the level of a criminal charge, it is
- 2:16Speaker 1: up to the MPD to take steps to internally address
- 2:19Speaker 1: these underlying issues. Even more about this has broken since then,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and the jow Dopping report has just come out from
- 2:28Speaker 1: the House, just to confirm what we all knew. The
- 2:33Speaker 1: left wing DC police chief falsified crime statistics, cooking the
- 2:39Speaker 1: books to make her city seem much safer than it
- 2:43Speaker 1: actually was. All Right, it's almost Christmas, and if you're

- 4:25Speaker 3: A House overside committee now releasing a report accusing the
- 4:29Speaker 3: outgoing DC Police.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Chief manipulating data to artificially lower crime statistics.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Bill Malusian looking at the numbers. He's live on the
- 4:38Speaker 2: Hill with this Bill. What you find out? Bill, Good
- 4:41Speaker 2: morning to you.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Those House Oversight Committee Republicans say the bottom line of
- 4:45Speaker 4: what their investigation found is that the outgoing DC Police
- 4:49Speaker 4: chief was essentially cooking the books on crime data and
- 4:52Speaker 4: trying to make the city seem a whole.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Lot safer than it really was.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Now, those House Republicans say what their investigation consisted of
- 4:59Speaker 4: was interview uk youing all seven commanders of DC Metro
- 5:02Speaker 4: Police's patrol districts, including a former commander who's currently suspended
- 5:06Speaker 4: for allegedly tampering with crime stats in his own district,
- 5:10Speaker 4: and These are some of the conclusions they've made in
- 5:12Speaker 4: their report. They alleged that DC Metro Police Chief Pamela
- 5:15Speaker 4: Smith pressured commanders to report lower crime stats by any
- 5:19Speaker 4: means necessary. The commanders testified that Chief Smith even pushed
- 5:23Speaker 4: them to pursue lesser charges that aren't publicly reported, even
- 5:27Speaker 4: for serious crimes, and she required certain crimes to be
- 5:31Speaker 4: reviewed by her office now. The report also says police
- 5:34Speaker 4: commanders testified that Chief Smith punished them and retaliated against
- 5:38Speaker 4: them if they tried to report accurate rising crime data,
- 5:42Speaker 4: even braiding them in meetings and individually to pressure them
- 5:47Speaker 4: into reporting those lower crime figures.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:49Speaker 4: In a statement on the report, House Overside Committee Chairman
- 5:52Speaker 4: James Comer says, in part quote, Chief Pamela Smith coerced
- 5:55Speaker 4: staff to report artificially low crime data and cultivated the
- 5:59Speaker 4: culture of fear to achieve her agenda.
- 6:01Speaker 1: A culture of fear to attempt to attain her agenda,
- 6:07Speaker 1: The DC Police chief rigged the data. She didn't actually
- 6:12Speaker 1: fight crime, She just lied about the crime stats. Pressuring
- 6:18Speaker 1: the commanders to report lower crime statistics, push them to
- 6:24Speaker 1: pursue lesser charges for serious crimes, required certain crimes to
- 6:31Speaker 1: actually be reviewed by our office. Not because she was
- 6:33Speaker 1: afraid of what was happening on the streets in the
- 6:37Speaker 1: district of Columbia. No no, no, no, no, so that she could
- 6:41Speaker 1: misclassify them so it wouldn't seem as dangerous and retaliated
- 6:47Speaker 1: and punished individuals if they reported crimes accurately. You look
- 6:53Speaker 1: at this data and you hear what I just played
- 6:57Speaker 1: for you. It is shocking to know that this was
- 7:02Speaker 1: how things are being run. We found out even more
- 7:06Speaker 1: from Fox News Channel about all of this in a
- 7:10Speaker 1: later report in the afternoon.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Take a listen, all.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Right, and moments ago, US Attorney Janin Piro here in Washington,
- 7:19Speaker 5: d C. Responding to allegations the DC crime data was
- 7:23Speaker 5: manipulated by the outgoing police chief, Pamela Smith. That claim
- 7:27Speaker 5: coming from a new House Oversight Committee report. Our Congressional
- 7:30Speaker 5: corresponded to Bill Malojia and with the latest on Capitol Hill,
- 7:33Speaker 5: Bill well John.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Republicans on the House Oversight Committee say their investigation concluded
- 7:39Speaker 4: that this outgoing DC police chief was trying to make
- 7:42Speaker 4: the city seem a whole lot safer than it really was,
- 7:45Speaker 4: and she was doing it by allegedly cooking.
- 7:47Speaker 2: The books on crime statistics.
- 7:50Speaker 4: So the Republicans on the committee say their investigation consisted
- 7:53Speaker 4: of interviewing seven different DC Metro Police commanders who represent
- 7:58Speaker 4: all of the patrol districts out here, included a former
- 8:01Speaker 4: commander who's currently suspended for allegedly tampering with crime stats
- 8:05Speaker 4: in his own district. And these are some of the
- 8:08Speaker 4: conclusions they've made in their report. Number one, they alleged
- 8:11Speaker 4: that DC Metro Police Chief Pamela Smith pressured commanders to
- 8:14Speaker 4: report lower crime stats by any means necessary. Commanders testify
- 8:19Speaker 4: that Chief Smith pushed them to pursue lesser charges that
- 8:23Speaker 4: aren't publicly reported, even for serious crimes, and she also
- 8:27Speaker 4: required certain crimes.
- 8:28Speaker 2: To be reviewed by her office.
- 8:30Speaker 4: In a statement on this report, House Overside Committee Chairman
- 8:33Speaker 4: James Comer says, in part quote, Chief Pamela Smith coerced
- 8:36Speaker 4: staff to report artificially low crime data and cultivated a
- 8:40Speaker 4: culture of fear to achieve her agenda. Chief Smith's decision
- 8:43Speaker 4: to mislead the public by manipulating crime stats is dangerous
- 8:47Speaker 4: and undermined trust in both local leadership and law enforcement. Meanwhile,
- 8:51Speaker 4: DC Mayor Muriel Bowser was asked to respond to the
- 8:54Speaker 4: House Overside Committee Republicans' findings earlier this morning.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Take a listen.
- 8:59Speaker 6: I don't see in the app of that if the
- 9:01Speaker 6: claim is, and I don't think anybody has demonstrated that
- 9:04Speaker 6: the police chief directed anybody to change numbers when those
- 9:09Speaker 6: when the committee provides me their backup information, which they
- 9:12Speaker 6: haven't when the committee provided the report to the Washington
- 9:17Speaker 6: Post before they provided it to us. Highly unusual when
- 9:21Speaker 6: you're talking about an audit of numbers and.
- 9:26Speaker 4: John just moments ago, the US Attorney here in DC,
- 9:28Speaker 4: Janine Piro, responded to this report. She put out a
- 9:31Speaker 4: statement on x which essentially says that yes, these crime
- 9:35Speaker 4: stats were manipulated, and the manipulation of that data shows
- 9:39Speaker 4: that President Trump has reduced crime here in DC a
- 9:42Speaker 4: whole lot more than initially thought. She went on to
- 9:45Speaker 4: say that what happened here with the crime stats does
- 9:47Speaker 4: not rise to the level of any criminal charges or
- 9:50Speaker 4: a crime, but that the DC Police Department has to
- 9:53Speaker 4: change their.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Practices moving forward. We'll send it back to you.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I know that before everything changed in the summer,
- 9:59Speaker 5: we were all hearing, well, the crime is down in DC,
- 10:01Speaker 5: and none of us said anything to peg that toos.
- 10:05Speaker 1: None of us had any of that to peg it to.
- 10:07Speaker 1: So the DC Police chief manipulating the crime data, artificially
- 10:12Speaker 1: lowering the crime stats and coerce staff to report low
- 10:16Speaker 1: data and cultivated a culture of fear to achieve her
- 10:19Speaker 1: agenda and didn't punish the criminals. She punished the DC
- 10:25Speaker 1: police officers to pursue lesser charges for serious crimes. This
- 10:32Speaker 1: is the Democratic Party and it's exactly why Donald Trump
- 10:35Speaker 1: won the election. It's also exactly why he's fighting crime
- 10:39Speaker 1: all over the country and sending in the National Guard
- 10:42Speaker 1: because even in cities where Democrats claim crime was dropping.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Waste, fraud, and abuse.
- 10:49Speaker 1: It's part of what the Trump administration said they were
- 10:51Speaker 1: going to expose in our government. It's part of what
- 10:55Speaker 1: DOGE was created to stop. Well, now we have a
- 10:58Speaker 1: new report out from the US Government Accountability Office and
- 11:02Speaker 1: it is raising shocking concerns about fraud and deliberate in
- 11:08Speaker 1: proper payments within the Affordable Care Act and the insurance exchanges.
- 11:12Speaker 1: The Government Accountability Office releasing the preliminary Watchdog report showing
- 11:18Speaker 1: not only that, but serious vulnerabilities in the ACA marketplace
- 11:22Speaker 1: subsidies and people are making billions of dollars off of
- 11:27Speaker 1: our tax dollars with fraud. Federal auditors created fictitious identities
- 11:34Speaker 1: to test the system. All fake applicants in twenty twenty
- 11:39Speaker 1: four were approved for subsidized coverage. In fact, eighteen of
- 11:45Speaker 1: the twenty fake applicants remained active into twenty twenty five.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Fake and rollies were awarded thousands of dollars in subsidies
- 11:55Speaker 1: per month, taxpayers' money automatically paid to the insurre And
- 12:00Speaker 1: now you know why the insurance industry is giving record
- 12:05Speaker 1: dollars to Democrats who were in office. The watchdog has
- 12:10Speaker 1: not completed its full final report. The lawmakers are already
- 12:14Speaker 1: calling the preliminary findings not just alarming, but damning. House
- 12:20Speaker 1: Speaker Mike Johnson saying this last night on Fox News Channel.
- 12:24Speaker 3: The Government Accountability Office just came out with a new
- 12:27Speaker 3: report this past week, Laura, and it is astounding. Just
- 12:30Speaker 3: for example, over the last two years, they submitted twenty
- 12:33Speaker 3: four two dozen totally fraudulent applications for these Unaffordable Care
- 12:38Speaker 3: Act subsidies. Okay, twenty three out of twenty four were approved.
- 12:41Speaker 3: There were no sub security numbers provided, no verification for
- 12:44Speaker 3: incoun or even citizenship. Okay, of course not right. This
- 12:48Speaker 3: tens of thousands of dollars paid to each one of those,
- 12:51Speaker 3: to the insurance companies for people that do not exist, Okay,
- 12:55Speaker 3: dead people, ninety four million dollars. If taxpayer dollars paid
- 12:58Speaker 3: insurance companies for people that have been deceased, then you
- 13:02Speaker 3: had soci security numbers sixty eight thousand, So security numbers
- 13:05Speaker 3: in twenty twenty four alone were used for multiple persons,
- 13:08Speaker 3: in other words, multiple people using one number to builk
- 13:12Speaker 3: the system and defraud it. That's the system that the
- 13:14Speaker 3: Democrats created. That's the one they want us to subsidize.
- 13:17Speaker 3: So when we go forward with the truth, we explain
- 13:20Speaker 3: to the American people the reason their cost out of
- 13:22Speaker 3: control is because they created a broken system. We have
- 13:24Speaker 3: the solutions to fix it. That is the message and
- 13:27Speaker 3: the truth. I think that's going to prevail as you
- 13:29Speaker 3: go into the election year.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Obamacare sold is affordable care. It's not that at all.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Ninety four million send to insurers for people that were dead. Now,
- 13:39Speaker 1: how much that ninety four million is going to come
- 13:41Speaker 1: back the American taxpayer, I think you know the answer, No,
- 13:44Speaker 1: none of it is coming back. Sixty eight thousand security
- 13:48Speaker 1: numbers used by multiple people to cheat the system, huge
- 13:54Speaker 1: amounts paid to insurance companies, which are the top donors
- 13:57Speaker 1: to Democrats in Congress, for countless thousands of people who
- 14:03Speaker 1: literally don't exist. The question is would anybody go to
- 14:07Speaker 1: jail because of the billions and billions in fraud? The
- 14:10Speaker 1: answer I think you know now is no, that is
- 14:14Speaker 1: not going to happen. We are not going to get
- 14:16Speaker 1: our money back. So how do we now move forward?
- 14:21Speaker 1: Number One, We've got to make sure that people understand
- 14:24Speaker 1: just how unaffordable the Affordable Care Act is. Democrats have
- 14:29Speaker 1: misled hardworking Americans and claim that the Affordable Care Act
- 14:33Speaker 1: with lower health care premiums when their law was enacted.
- 14:36Speaker 1: What has happened since then? Premiums have skyrocketed. Since twenty fourteen,
- 14:43Speaker 1: premium costs on the ACA exchanges have risen nearly two
- 14:48Speaker 1: times faster than employer coverage. Why because they know the
- 14:53Speaker 1: government money's there for the taking. It has also been
- 14:57Speaker 1: more than three times faster then inflation. How do they
- 15:01Speaker 1: get away with it when it's government dollars tax dollars.
- 15:05Speaker 1: There is no real metric to business or to saying
- 15:09Speaker 1: no again. The insurance companies know who to pay. That's
- 15:13Speaker 1: the Democratic Party who then protects them and their record earnings.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It is without question that the Unaffordable Care Act has
- 15:21Speaker 1: failed the American people, and now Republicans are having to
- 15:24Speaker 1: deal with a fallout and trying to fix it. What
- 15:28Speaker 1: we know is the Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable.
- 15:31Speaker 1: In fact, it's already a disaster, and without the government subsidies,
- 15:35Speaker 1: nobody could afford it. But this is where we are
- 15:38Speaker 1: with the Democratic Party now. Constantly they lie and they
- 15:42Speaker 1: try to tell you that the Affordable Care Act is working,
- 15:46Speaker 1: that it is something you should be proud of. Well,
- 15:49Speaker 1: House Republicans have introduced a bill to lower healthcare premiums
- 15:54Speaker 1: for all Americans. Here's more of what Speaker Johnson had
- 15:57Speaker 1: to say about that.
- 15:59Speaker 3: We're very close and we're delighted to present this and
- 16:02Speaker 3: put it through the House next week. Here's the important thing.
- 16:04Speaker 3: You said it very well, Laura. The Democrats broke America's
- 16:08Speaker 3: healthcare system fifteen years ago when they came out with
- 16:11Speaker 3: that Obamacare proposal, the Unaffordable Care Act. It did exactly
- 16:15Speaker 3: the opposite of every single thing they promised. Premiums have
- 16:18Speaker 3: skyrocketed in some categories up to seventy or ninety percent
- 16:22Speaker 3: in the last fifteen years. They will continue to skyrocket.
- 16:25Speaker 3: So the Democrats proposal right now is subsidize it further.
- 16:28Speaker 3: They want the American tax payer to give billions of
- 16:31Speaker 3: dollars to insurance companies in a program that is just
- 16:34Speaker 3: riddled with fraud, waste abuse.
- 16:36Speaker 2: We're not going to do that.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Republicans are bringing common sense solutions. We are bringing solutions
- 16:41Speaker 3: forward that will actually lower the premiums for all Americans.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It's long overdue, and we've got some great ideas to
- 16:46Speaker 3: do it.
- 16:47Speaker 1: You listen to the fix there from the speaker, and
- 16:49Speaker 1: he's right, there has to be a fix. When you
- 16:51Speaker 1: have a system that is paying huge amounts to insurance
- 16:55Speaker 1: companies for countless thousands of people who don't exist. It's
- 16:59Speaker 1: a problem and you may ask yourself, how to the
- 17:01Speaker 1: insurance companies even allow this to happen. Well, if someone
- 17:06Speaker 1: doesn't exist, isn't that literally the best possible person that
- 17:10Speaker 1: you could ensure. In fact, you could also argue that
- 17:13Speaker 1: the insurance companies have actual incentives to take money from
- 17:17Speaker 1: the government for people that don't exist. That's why this
- 17:21Speaker 1: undercover investigation in rolling twenty three out of twenty four
- 17:24Speaker 1: fictional applicants for subsidized health insurance plans to the ACA
- 17:28Speaker 1: exchanges should make everyone angry. I don't care if you're
- 17:32Speaker 1: a Republican or a Democrat. They also know and they've
- 17:37Speaker 1: been warned of these significant vulnerabilities and lacks anti fraud protections.
- 17:43Speaker 1: The report actually suggests that there could be widespread fraud
- 17:46Speaker 1: in multiple areas of the country where this is being exploited.
- 17:51Speaker 1: You also have to go back to the other client
- 17:54Speaker 1: of the insurance company, which is the best client you'll
- 17:56Speaker 1: ever have. Ninety four million sent to insurers for those
- 17:59Speaker 1: who are dead. Now, if you're an insurance company, what
- 18:03Speaker 1: is cheaper and what is more guaranteed to your bottom
- 18:06Speaker 1: line than premiums being paid on a human being that's dead.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You don't have to ever worry about a claim. Why
- 18:11Speaker 1: would you tell the government or try to stop that
- 18:13Speaker 1: type of fraud when it's ninety four million literally directly
- 18:17Speaker 1: to your bottom line. The GOA report finding that more
- 18:22Speaker 1: than the ninety four million we're sent directly the insurance
- 18:25Speaker 1: companies on behalf of individuals that are dead. These are
- 18:29Speaker 1: what you would describe as fraudulent payments involved using dead peoples,
- 18:34Speaker 1: social Security numbers and other information to then get the payouts.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Now House Budget GOP saying, it is important that we
- 18:45Speaker 1: note the issue is improper government payments and improper government
- 18:49Speaker 1: payments to our very good friends over at the insurance companies,
- 18:54Speaker 1: their premiums have skyrocketed. Programs like Medicaid and even COVID
- 18:59Speaker 1: ninete teen stimulus checks are another example of the waste, fraud,
- 19:03Speaker 1: and abuse. Every government program seems to be covered up
- 19:06Speaker 1: with people that are taking advantage of it, people that
- 19:09Speaker 1: are dead, people that should never get the benefits, who
- 19:13Speaker 1: are getting the benefits, which is where the Trump administration
- 19:16Speaker 1: comes in. What the Trump administration is now said is
- 19:20Speaker 1: the government is working on these solutions, such as using
- 19:23Speaker 1: the Social Security Administration's Death Master file to identify and
- 19:28Speaker 1: stop such fraudulent payments. And what are Democrats saying about that.
- 19:33Speaker 1: They're not advocating for it. They're fighting literally against it
- 19:38Speaker 1: tooth and nail because they want the money to keep
- 19:40Speaker 1: flowing to their biggest donors, the healthcare insurance industry. An
- 19:47Speaker 1: alarm was sounded last year during the presidential election, and
- 19:51Speaker 1: it's one that the Trump administration is trying to fix
- 19:54Speaker 1: right now. It deals with the unaffordability of housing. And
- 19:58Speaker 1: it's a sad statistic, but now many Americans up until
- 20:03Speaker 1: their forties can't afford the American dream to buy a home.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Much of that is caused because of lower end housing
- 20:12Speaker 1: and the price for it has skyrocketed because of the
- 20:15Speaker 1: massive influx of illegal immigrants coming into this country. Even
- 20:20Speaker 1: during the government shutdown, the US Treasury Secretary of Scott
- 20:23Speaker 1: Mescent had this to say about housing, the tariffs, and
- 20:27Speaker 1: how expensive it has gotten for Americans to survive.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Jerome Powell yesterday kind of threw some cold water, it
- 20:36Speaker 7: seems came across to a lot of people, including yours,
- 20:38Speaker 7: truly throw cold water on the Asian trip by saying
- 20:43Speaker 7: basically that the rate cut in December wasn't a foregone conclusion.
- 20:47Speaker 7: Your reaction to Powell's decision to give those remarks yesterday.
- 20:53Speaker 8: Look, I think as endemic of a FED that has
- 20:57Speaker 8: been completely wrong, whether it's on tariffs or the economy.
- 21:04Speaker 8: They started cutting rates. I think that we should be
- 21:09Speaker 8: in a cycle here. And I'm not sure what the
- 21:14Speaker 8: problem is with the voters. Last year, they voted for
- 21:20Speaker 8: the massive fifty point or fifty basis point rate cut
- 21:24Speaker 8: in September before the election in November, clearly very political.
- 21:29Speaker 8: Then two rate cuts after that, and the labor market
- 21:35Speaker 8: was in better shape than the inflation levels were the same,
- 21:40Speaker 8: So you know, I'm afraid that the Board may be
- 21:44Speaker 8: playing politics here. And what's really discouraging is we were
- 21:50Speaker 8: starting to see signs of a nascent recovery in the
- 21:53Speaker 8: housing market. Housing market is obviously the most interest rate
- 21:58Speaker 8: sensitive sector of the economy. Americans have been pushed out
- 22:02Speaker 8: of affordability in the housing market and this isn't helpful
- 22:07Speaker 8: what the Fed's doing here. And when I look, rents
- 22:11Speaker 8: are down and that's one of the biggest components of inflation.
- 22:15Speaker 8: So it's like they want to have a nation of
- 22:17Speaker 8: renters and not owners.
- 22:19Speaker 1: It's almost like they don't want them to buy a home.
- 22:24Speaker 1: That really does seem to be the plan of the
- 22:27Speaker 1: Democratic Party and it's incredibly frustrating. But the good news
- 22:32Speaker 1: is the policies of this administration are bringing news to
- 22:37Speaker 1: many Americans that have been forced into renting. The Treasury
- 22:41Speaker 1: Secretary announcing today that mass deportations, including self deportations, in
- 22:46Speaker 1: the millions now are bringing rents down for working class Americans.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Treasury Secretary of Scott Besson saying President Trump's mass deportation
- 22:56Speaker 1: agenda is doing exactly what he said it was going
- 23:00Speaker 1: to do. It was going to bring down the cost
- 23:03Speaker 1: for working in lower and middle class Americans. Last month,
- 23:07Speaker 1: for example, and this is the data that matters, apartment
- 23:11Speaker 1: rents finally fell one point one percent compared to the
- 23:15Speaker 1: same time last year, and they have dropped five point
- 23:18Speaker 1: two percent compared to the same period in twenty twenty two,
- 23:22Speaker 1: when rents had peaked in this country. During an interview
- 23:27Speaker 1: on Fox Business Channel, Treasury Secretary credit the deportations for
- 23:31Speaker 1: helping drive down rents and pointing to a recent study
- 23:35Speaker 1: by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania which
- 23:38Speaker 1: found a deep correlation between immigration and housing costs. Quote,
- 23:44Speaker 1: rents are down. You know the story that the Biden
- 23:47Speaker 1: administration doesn't want to talk about the mass, unfettered immigration
- 23:52Speaker 1: that pushed up rents, especially for working Americans. Here's more
- 23:57Speaker 1: of what he had to say on Fox Business Channel
- 23:59Speaker 1: with Marie we have Bartiromo.
- 24:01Speaker 9: How do you explain this new stress that we're talking
- 24:05Speaker 9: about that keeps showing up in all the polls that
- 24:07Speaker 9: people are stressed about housing, stressed about the cost of food.
- 24:11Speaker 9: What is the administration's plan to rain in the cost
- 24:14Speaker 9: of food and housing.
- 24:15Speaker 8: Well, Maria, people should be stressed because it's Biden inflation.
- 24:19Speaker 8: As I said, it was worst inflation in fifty years.
- 24:23Speaker 8: And stratigis the brokerage firm who you know well had something.
- 24:28Speaker 8: Jason Triner had something called the common Man Index, which
- 24:31Speaker 8: was working Americans. So the accumulated CPI during the Biden
- 24:37Speaker 8: years called a twenty one twenty two percent for working Americans,
- 24:41Speaker 8: it was thirty five.
- 24:42Speaker 2: And that thirty five was just a wipeout.
- 24:45Speaker 8: Because those groceries, insurance rent, and the auto and we
- 24:51Speaker 8: are bringing that down. So an energy, which leads everything
- 24:56Speaker 8: is coming down. Energy goes into grocery prices. So affordability
- 25:01Speaker 8: has two components. So just like with the deficit, with
- 25:06Speaker 8: the deficit, there are two parts to it. They're constraining
- 25:09Speaker 8: spending and then upping revenues, which is what we're doing,
- 25:13Speaker 8: which is why we had this several hundred billion dollar
- 25:17Speaker 8: contraction with affordability. I suspect that we are going to
- 25:22Speaker 8: see a substantial drop in inflation. The first six months
- 25:25Speaker 8: and next year, rents are down. The story that the
- 25:29Speaker 8: Biden administration doesn't want to talk about the mass unfettered immigration,
- 25:34Speaker 8: they have pushed up rents, especially for working Americans. There's
- 25:38Speaker 8: a recent study out from Wharton School that shows every
- 25:42Speaker 8: one percent increase in population, rents one up one percent.
- 25:46Speaker 8: So President Trump, by the enforcing the border sending home
- 25:51Speaker 8: more than two million illegals rents, we're now seeing D
- 25:55Speaker 8: and C rents coming down substantially. I think that that
- 25:58Speaker 8: will continue this for the rest of the year. We
- 26:02Speaker 8: brought interest rates down, so we've seen mortgage rates down,
- 26:07Speaker 8: and I think everything else will follow that.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Now the Treasury Secretary isn't the only one talking about
- 26:13Speaker 1: exactly the problem with affordability.
- 26:15Speaker 2: The Vice President JD.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Vance hitting the road talking about this exact issue, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: what he halso I had to say is about how
- 26:22Speaker 1: many young people are now being left behind because the
- 26:25Speaker 1: Biden administration policies, and they're stopping it now.
- 26:29Speaker 10: I know that there are a lot of people out
- 26:30Speaker 10: there Sean who are saying things are expensive, and we
- 26:34Speaker 10: have to remember they're expensive because we inherited this terrible
- 26:38Speaker 10: inflation crisis from the Biden administration. But you've already seen
- 26:42Speaker 10: signs that things are getting better. The price of eggs
- 26:45Speaker 10: has gone way down, the price of energy has gone
- 26:48Speaker 10: way down, the price of gasoline has gone way down.
- 26:51Speaker 10: And as we know, when the price of energy goes down,
- 26:55Speaker 10: that starts to filter out into the entire economy. But
- 26:57Speaker 10: that also takes a little bit of time. There's another
- 27:00Speaker 10: component of this sean, which to me is maybe the
- 27:01Speaker 10: most important, because I care so much about our young
- 27:04Speaker 10: people being able to afford a good life. A lot
- 27:06Speaker 10: of young people are saying housing is way too expensive.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Why is that? Because we flooded the.
- 27:12Speaker 10: Country with thirty million illegal immigrants who were taking houses
- 27:17Speaker 10: that ought by right go to American citizens. And at
- 27:19Speaker 10: the same time, we weren't building enough new houses to
- 27:22Speaker 10: begin with, even for.
- 27:23Speaker 2: The population that we had. So what we're doing is
- 27:26Speaker 2: trying to.
- 27:27Speaker 10: Make it easier to build houses, trying to make it
- 27:29Speaker 10: easier to build factories and things like that.
- 27:31Speaker 2: So that people have good jobs.
- 27:33Speaker 10: We're also getting all of those illegal aliens out of
- 27:35Speaker 10: our country. And you're already seeing it start to pay
- 27:38Speaker 10: some dividends.
- 27:40Speaker 1: You're already seeing it start to pay some dividends, which
- 27:43Speaker 1: brings me to jd Vance taking a very blunt job
- 27:46Speaker 1: at President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party laying out
- 27:51Speaker 1: the Trump administration's plan for the economy in twenty twenty six.
- 27:57Speaker 10: If you go back to the four years of the
- 27:58Speaker 10: Biden administration, why did housing get so expensive? Double in
- 28:03Speaker 10: price during the Biden administration, It's because Joe Biden let
- 28:07Speaker 10: in twenty million illegal immigrants who took homes that ought
- 28:10Speaker 10: by right go to American citizens and to the people
- 28:13Speaker 10: of this great state. We talk about why did healthcare
- 28:21Speaker 10: get so unaffordable during the Biden administration, It's because Joe
- 28:25Speaker 10: Biden allowed prescription drug companies to take advantage of this country.
- 28:31Speaker 1: So there it is jd Vance saying housing got expensive, Yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 1: double the price during the Biden administration. Joe Biden let
- 28:41Speaker 1: in twenty million legal immigrants, you were competing with them
- 28:44Speaker 1: for housing. Now we find out about other fraud with
- 28:48Speaker 1: the Affordable Care Act, money going to Somalia, going to
- 28:52Speaker 1: terrace in states where there's ways fraud and abuse. And
- 28:56Speaker 1: that's exactly why he was out there today making it
- 29:00Speaker 1: clear that if you're an legal immigrant, we're coming for you,
- 29:03Speaker 1: and American citizens are going to be put back at
- 29:06Speaker 1: the front of the line. Don't forget to share this podcast,
