- 1:41Speaker 1: turn them out? Turn you got to turn out the turn,
- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water go. Come, come on your thing,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show well, good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, man, boy, God has been
- 2:14Speaker 1: good to me. Man, I can't really count at all.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You can't either, you know, it's all in perspective. You
- 2:21Speaker 1: really can't count all that God has done for you
- 2:25Speaker 1: if you look at every little thing. It's unbelievable the
- 2:29Speaker 1: things He's done for us. How many times you know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: we got through something without even talking to him about it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He just he just blessed us with it. How many
- 2:38Speaker 1: you know? It's just it's so much that the fact
- 2:41Speaker 1: that you wake up in the morning, the fact that
- 2:43Speaker 1: you still have a place to stay, the fact that
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know may be struggling out here, but guess what,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you're still going to work. You you know, you live
- 2:51Speaker 1: in check the check, but but you're making it all.
- 2:53Speaker 1: You got all the plates spinning. You know it's hard.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You got a lot of plates spinning, but you keep
- 2:57Speaker 1: him up there somewhere. Every now I near one break,
- 2:59Speaker 1: but he puts two more back up there to look
- 3:01Speaker 1: a little bit better. And you got to get to
- 3:02Speaker 1: spending them so it all works. And then you got
- 3:06Speaker 1: a lot of people who just can't seem to mentally
- 3:10Speaker 1: put it together as to you know, why their life
- 3:15Speaker 1: isn't in a position that they wanted to be. We
- 3:18Speaker 1: talked about this oftentimes, but I don't want to try
- 3:20Speaker 1: another angle with you to day. You know, maybe it's you.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about that? Maybe it's you. Maybe
- 3:31Speaker 1: it's no external force that's at fault, like you keep
- 3:34Speaker 1: making the excuse to be You know, so many people
- 3:38Speaker 1: I hear, well, if this hadn't have done this, if
- 3:40Speaker 1: he hadn't have done that, if she hadn't have done that,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I would have been further along. I wasted all my time,
- 3:47Speaker 1: my years with this man, and he did this, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: I could have been here, and I could have been there,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and this woman she did this to me. If she
- 3:55Speaker 1: hadn't have done that, I could have been here, and
- 3:57Speaker 1: I could have been there. Maybe it's you. Maybe it's
- 4:02Speaker 1: not really that external force that you keep making it
- 4:06Speaker 1: out to be. See, I've done this to myself before.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Once again, I'm talking to you about something I know about.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I've done this to myself before. I've had the reason
- 4:19Speaker 1: I wasn't where I wanted to be. I had it
- 4:23Speaker 1: figured out as some external force. I had worked it
- 4:27Speaker 1: out in my mind. Clearly it wasn't me, because if
- 4:32Speaker 1: so and so, or if this hadn't happened, and if
- 4:35Speaker 1: they hadn't have done this, I would have been further
- 4:38Speaker 1: along up the road. That's what I was saying. But
- 4:41Speaker 1: WOLDO hold on that. But I learned a valuable lesson. Man. See,
- 4:46Speaker 1: if you don't ever let it go, it's gonna be
- 4:51Speaker 1: hard for you to go. If you don't ever let
- 4:57Speaker 1: it go, it's gonna be hard for you to go.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I was listening to Bishop td Jake's one day, and
- 5:04Speaker 1: I heard him say, you can't drive your car if
- 5:10Speaker 1: you're gonna keep looking in the rearview mirror. You go
- 5:15Speaker 1: outside and try that. Try to drive your car, but
- 5:18Speaker 1: keep your eye in the rearview mirror. All you looking
- 5:21Speaker 1: at is where you're being. All you looking at in
- 5:24Speaker 1: that rear view mirrors where you're passed or should have passed,
- 5:28Speaker 1: something you should have moved on from. All you're doing
- 5:31Speaker 1: is looking in that rearview mirror at what happened back there.
- 5:36Speaker 1: If you don't stop looking in the rearview mirror, you're
- 5:39Speaker 1: gonna crash your car over and over and over again.
- 5:45Speaker 1: All you got to slow it down so bad in
- 5:49Speaker 1: order for you to keep looking in that rear view mirror.
- 5:53Speaker 1: If you don't learn to let it go, it's gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: be hard for you to go forward because you keep
- 6:03Speaker 1: reviewing the past. The past is the past, and I
- 6:07Speaker 1: know it's hard. Man. I watched a show and this
- 6:10Speaker 1: lady said, well, I just can't ever forgive them for that,
- 6:14Speaker 1: or guess what. Guess what God may have already forgiven
- 6:19Speaker 1: that person. That person may be extremely remorseful, could have
- 6:24Speaker 1: gone to God and Godden forgiveness for it years ago.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But you you sit here and you keep hanging on
- 6:32Speaker 1: to the back. I can't ever forgive that. Mm. Then
- 6:36Speaker 1: I heard Bishop Jakes come on the show one time
- 6:38Speaker 1: and say something that really, really struck on. You keep
- 6:43Speaker 1: drinking the poison, waiting on your enemy to die. He
- 6:49Speaker 1: said that. I just shook my head and went, wow,
- 6:53Speaker 1: you drinking the poison, waiting on your enemy to die.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Revenge is poison to you, You know, if hatred is
- 7:06Speaker 1: poison to you. Unforgivingness when you won't forgive a person,
- 7:11Speaker 1: that person could be going on with their life, made
- 7:14Speaker 1: the right with God. Don't know how you're feeling. They're
- 7:18Speaker 1: skipping through life now. You make adjustments every time you
- 7:20Speaker 1: see them, and it takes energy. Man, it takes so
- 7:23Speaker 1: much energy to hate. It takes so much energy not
- 7:27Speaker 1: to forgive too. That ain't come in the room. You
- 7:30Speaker 1: got to avoid them. Stay over here. Oh here they come.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Now you got to make a situation over here. They
- 7:36Speaker 1: come into the house. Its family reunion. Oh here they come.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And where they're gonna be in the basement. I'm going
- 7:41Speaker 1: to be on the third floor. I want to go
- 7:43Speaker 1: outead and get some barbecue. She out there at the barbecue, staying,
- 7:45Speaker 1: oh lord, I don't want a barbecue. I just eat
- 7:47Speaker 1: to take the salad. People man take themselves all out
- 7:50Speaker 1: of position, trying to make adjustments, when if you it
- 7:54Speaker 1: would simplify your life if you would let just let
- 7:59Speaker 1: it go. Maybe you ain't where you need to be
- 8:01Speaker 1: because of them external forces altogether. Maybe you're not where
- 8:06Speaker 1: you need to be cause of you. Because you won't
- 8:10Speaker 1: let it go, you won't move forward. Look at this, ladies.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Let's say you've been in a situation with a man
- 8:17Speaker 1: for years. It didn't work out for whatever the reason,
- 8:20Speaker 1: it just didn't work out. I got I got what
- 8:24Speaker 1: you say he did. I got what he did. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: got all of that. YadA YadA YadA. When you get through,
- 8:31Speaker 1: did not God get you through it? Did not he
- 8:35Speaker 1: allow you to survive it? I got you, got some
- 8:40Speaker 1: cuts on you, I got you been a little bit bruised.
- 8:44Speaker 1: But did he not get you through it? So, now
- 8:48Speaker 1: that he's freed you from it, now he didn't went on.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He got a whole other family over that somewhere. He not.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Now he trying to make it right because maybe he
- 8:56Speaker 1: learned the mistake he made and now he trying to
- 8:58Speaker 1: be a better man. He just trying to get it right.
- 9:01Speaker 1: But you're sitting there holding onto it. You're drinking the poison,
- 9:05Speaker 1: waiting on your enemy to die. So now instead of
- 9:07Speaker 1: you enjoying the blessing of finally being free from a
- 9:10Speaker 1: situation that was not healthy for you. You create an
- 9:13Speaker 1: even more unhealthy situation in your mind by hating, by
- 9:18Speaker 1: having revengeful thoughts, by hoping he fall on his face.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Maybe you're even doing something to the other situation to
- 9:25Speaker 1: make sure they struggle. Oh man, you're drinking the poison,
- 9:30Speaker 1: waiting on your enemy to die. Maybe you ain't where
- 9:32Speaker 1: you ought to be in life, not because of your
- 9:35Speaker 1: external forces, but maybe it's you. If you don't let
- 9:40Speaker 1: it go, it's gonna be hard for you to go.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You can't keep driving your car looking in the rear
- 9:47Speaker 1: view mirror. Come on, man, Forgiveness is not for the
- 9:52Speaker 1: other person. Forgiveness is for you, Ladies and gentlemen. Ladies
- 10:03Speaker 1: and gentlemen, let me have it your undivided attention. I've
- 10:08Speaker 1: decided I won't be doing this all the way through
- 10:11Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, but it is my theme song. Try Jesus,
- 10:18Speaker 1: not me because I throw hands. Try Jesus. Let's play it.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Please don't try me because I fight. Yeah, Welcome to
- 10:35Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I sent that song to
- 10:40Speaker 1: a deacon that I know. I know a deacon really well,
- 10:43Speaker 1: and we're friends. We grew up together. He's a deacon.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I sent him the song and he said, brother Steve,
- 10:50Speaker 1: that's blasphemy. That's using his name in vain. I said, hey, man,
- 10:56Speaker 1: just just send it back to me. To send a
- 11:00Speaker 1: song back to me. Man, I ain't got no time
- 11:02Speaker 1: for you, you know what I mean. I can't stand
- 11:04Speaker 1: people that holy I really can't, man. And I know
- 11:07Speaker 1: he's listening to the show because he listened all the time,
- 11:09Speaker 1: because he corrects me all the time on the short
- 11:11Speaker 1: of stuff I say. So I know he's listening. I
- 11:14Speaker 1: ain't got I ain't gonna say his name because he's
- 11:17Speaker 1: kind of send my popular in his city seeing me
- 11:20Speaker 1: to holler at him though. No, no, no, I'm holding
- 11:21Speaker 1: at him right now. Just send it. Just send a
- 11:24Speaker 1: song back there where you no, no, no, no, see
- 11:28Speaker 1: this good? He decade just right hands. But and he
- 11:36Speaker 1: know me from back in the day. I know him
- 11:39Speaker 1: from back in the day, which is what's surprising to me,
- 11:42Speaker 1: because I know what God did to say this one. Okay,
- 11:47Speaker 1: Cisco Kid was a friend of mine. He drank whiskey,
- 11:52Speaker 1: Pacho drank the damn white. Now all of a sudden.
- 11:56Speaker 1: He can't hit no song like that because that's blasphemy.
- 11:59Speaker 1: So I said, dog, just send the song back, Just
- 12:04Speaker 1: send it right back. Doc, Hey, do let's act like
- 12:06Speaker 1: this ain't happened since you so, I don't care what
- 12:10Speaker 1: he is. Man. I sent that song to Minister's man.
- 12:13Speaker 1: They Holly Bishop's minister Dog. I'm gonna tell my dudes,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I know that's hollyand man dog. Bishop Alma said him
- 12:22Speaker 1: and his wife almost wrecked a call, laugh because he
- 12:27Speaker 1: got a sense of humor. I send it to Bishop
- 12:29Speaker 1: Gettis down in North Carolina. He's a man. I love it.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I got a great sense of human Oh my god,
- 12:34Speaker 1: that's funny. I send it to a dude, just a
- 12:37Speaker 1: dog gone deacon. I don't appreciate music like that's just
- 12:41Speaker 1: blasteming man. Then he sent me a gospel song. Man, Hey,
- 12:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna send it back. Oh, good morning, everybody, Good morning,
- 13:00Speaker 1: Steve morning. No need for in. Yeah. I got a
- 13:07Speaker 1: cousin just like she came to ministerin. Now she came
- 13:10Speaker 1: to one of my common shows about I just I
- 13:12Speaker 1: can do it. You cussed too much, but you cussed
- 13:13Speaker 1: too that's I don't get. Here's where I learned it
- 13:18Speaker 1: from you just got Safe Friday last I remember we
- 13:26Speaker 1: was cussing at each other. YO ticket money back? All right?
- 13:33Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is asked the CLO, the Chief
- 13:36Speaker 1: Love Officer, Steve Harvey, will be in the building. We'll
- 13:39Speaker 1: get to it at thirty two minutes after the hour.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 13:48Speaker 1: If you're an employer, you know how challenging it can
- 13:50Speaker 1: be to hire, but right now you face even more challenges.
- 13:54Speaker 1: MATS and Resources could relate. They needed to hire a
- 13:57Speaker 1: season senior citrics administrator to provide it support, so they
- 14:01Speaker 1: turned to zip recruiter, and that's how they found Peter Alcintar, Junior.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Peter was laid off during COVID nineteen and needed to
- 14:08Speaker 1: find another job quickly, so he posted his resume on
- 14:11Speaker 1: zip recruiter. Zip recruiter identified him as a great match
- 14:15Speaker 1: for the role at Matson Resources, and they hired Peter
- 14:18Speaker 1: in less than three weeks. See how zip recruiter can
- 14:21Speaker 1: help you hire. Try it now for free at zip
- 14:23Speaker 1: recruiter dot com slash strawberry. That's zip recruiter dot com
- 14:27Speaker 1: slash strawberry. Time now for ask the clo. You ready,
- 14:32Speaker 1: clo always all right, close, all right, close, here we go, Cloe.
- 14:44Speaker 1: This is from Malcolm and Tampa, Florida. He says, I've
- 14:47Speaker 1: been in a committed relationship for six years and I
- 14:50Speaker 1: work out with my woman. When we're at the gym,
- 14:53Speaker 1: we often comment on other people's nice bodies. On Saturday,
- 14:57Speaker 1: a new guy was in our gym, and on the
- 15:00Speaker 1: way home, I told my girl that the new guy
- 15:02Speaker 1: was really cut up. She commented, no, he was fine
- 15:07Speaker 1: as f I was like, okay, so, Malcolm says, I
- 15:15Speaker 1: was like, hold on, now, wait a durned minute. Uh.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I've been with her for six years and she's always
- 15:22Speaker 1: told me I have a great body, but she's never
- 15:24Speaker 1: said I was fine as f h. Now I'm all
- 15:28Speaker 1: in my feelings and I don't want this guy around
- 15:30Speaker 1: my girl anymore. I need your advice. Okay, okay, hold on,
- 15:36Speaker 1: hold on. What's his name? His name is Malcolm, Steve Middle, Malcolm.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Let's let's look at this. You said he was fine.
- 15:47Speaker 1: She stopped you and said, no, he was fine as elf.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Threw you into something where now you don't you all
- 16:00Speaker 1: and your feelings? Now you don't want him around your girl.
- 16:03Speaker 1: He's the new guy at the gym. He ain't around
- 16:06Speaker 1: your girl. But now let's be careful, Malcolm, because if
- 16:09Speaker 1: you don't want him around your girl, then you must
- 16:11Speaker 1: be gonna ask him not to come to the gym
- 16:13Speaker 1: no more. Yeah, now, based on the reaction that she
- 16:16Speaker 1: had to his body, sound like I asked him just
- 16:18Speaker 1: waiting to happen to me. But obviously she was comfortable
- 16:22Speaker 1: saying that. He said, they're coming to other people's bodies
- 16:25Speaker 1: all the time. Yeah. But and she has told him
- 16:28Speaker 1: he's always had a great body, but he's never said
- 16:31Speaker 1: it was fine because it ain't. See your body ain't fine,
- 16:36Speaker 1: as that's why you're in the gym, because you're trying
- 16:38Speaker 1: to get the way he at here transferred from another gym. See,
- 16:45Speaker 1: he's been at another gym. He just came in here.
- 16:47Speaker 1: He knew it. Maybe you ought to find out what
- 16:50Speaker 1: Jim he was at and go join that one. Get
- 16:53Speaker 1: his old trainer, all right? Brea and Gary says, I'm
- 16:58Speaker 1: a twenty eight year old woman and I'm engaged to
- 17:00Speaker 1: a twenty nine year old man. That must think I'm stupid.
- 17:03Speaker 1: A few weeks ago, he returned to work at a
- 17:06Speaker 1: nearby factory, and he told me he had to be
- 17:09Speaker 1: quarantined there because of COVID nineteen. He went to work
- 17:13Speaker 1: on a Sunday and didn't come home till Thursday. During
- 17:16Speaker 1: that time, he could only text. Truthfully, the cell phone
- 17:20Speaker 1: service in the building is crappy, so I could believe
- 17:24Speaker 1: that part. What I can't believe is that all these
- 17:27Speaker 1: men slept on palettes on the floor for five nights.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I don't know anyone who works with him that can
- 17:34Speaker 1: validate this story. If I call his job, I'm sure
- 17:37Speaker 1: he'd find out and be mad. Does this sound crazy
- 17:40Speaker 1: to you? Now? It's a cold story, though, I like
- 17:44Speaker 1: a good get away. A lot of men have to
- 17:48Speaker 1: go away for five days and only text, That's right,
- 17:52Speaker 1: don't sound like you know, hey, you know what we
- 17:58Speaker 1: will do that all the time. You go to their
- 18:00Speaker 1: job and you know, I mean you went down there
- 18:05Speaker 1: Saturday and can't lead to Thursday. I mean, you know
- 18:08Speaker 1: that's like that happened all the time. You know, like
- 18:11Speaker 1: you know how many people down there at that McDonald's.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Like if you go down there on Thursday Sunday, you
- 18:16Speaker 1: can't come back home to Thursday. You're not sleeping all
- 18:19Speaker 1: on the floors and everything. You know, it's hard on pallets, pallets,
- 18:25Speaker 1: Ye tell her the truth, Steve, how that sound crazy?
- 18:32Speaker 1: What company range your ass to work and locks you
- 18:35Speaker 1: in there? No, sister, you wigh past overtime over time.
- 18:39Speaker 1: It's time and a half. Once you get an X
- 18:42Speaker 1: amount of hours, you're in double time. You get in
- 18:44Speaker 1: that you triple times. You gotta pay. These people ain't
- 18:47Speaker 1: on five man day. They're doing Gary. What what's the industry?
- 18:54Speaker 1: And Gary? And then it ain't nothing here Michael Jackson
- 18:56Speaker 1: theam House. Yeah, still cheer radio to Jackson Hart jack Street.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Karen got some good people in the door Man home
- 19:06Speaker 1: a big Daddy's barbecue. Oh yeah, shout out to big Daddy,
- 19:11Speaker 1: Big Daddy. You know what I'm saying. Other than that, though,
- 19:14Speaker 1: you can go back there and see Michael neam house.
- 19:17Speaker 1: So it's house or he worked for big Daddy. All right,
- 19:24Speaker 1: we don't know, Bria, that's crazy and trust your your instincts. Girl.
- 19:30Speaker 1: All right, this is from anonymous in Columbus, Mississippi. I've
- 19:34Speaker 1: been married to an amazing man for four years. We
- 19:37Speaker 1: live in Mississippi, but he's from Texas, so we drive
- 19:41Speaker 1: to visit his family. Every summer, we usually stay at
- 19:44Speaker 1: his brother's house, but this year his sister asked us
- 19:47Speaker 1: to stay with her. I love his sister, but I
- 19:51Speaker 1: hate her house. She has an old mutt that is
- 19:55Speaker 1: the love of her life. As soon as you walk
- 19:58Speaker 1: in her house, a strong you're in a lightsau smell
- 20:02Speaker 1: hits you. We'll be in town for four days and
- 20:05Speaker 1: I can't stay at her house. My husband said he's
- 20:07Speaker 1: not telling her, so I'll have to tell her. What
- 20:09Speaker 1: should I say? You can't say nothing, Just say you
- 20:14Speaker 1: forgot and go over there and stay at his brother house.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Because once you live in the house, you don't smell
- 20:19Speaker 1: it no more. And you all got somebody's house that
- 20:22Speaker 1: you go over that's got a strange older. But they'd
- 20:25Speaker 1: be sitting up in there like it's just regular. Come on,
- 20:28Speaker 1: they ain't meaning to it. They don't even smell that.
- 20:30Speaker 1: You can't go. Ain't nobody had because once you said smell,
- 20:34Speaker 1: you can't do that. I was with a friend of mine.
- 20:36Speaker 1: We went over another friend's house. He took his daughter
- 20:40Speaker 1: and I walked into brother's house and I never had
- 20:42Speaker 1: a little older to it. The little girl walked in
- 20:45Speaker 1: and said, this house smell like dogs. And the dude's
- 20:48Speaker 1: wife said, my house does not smell like a dog.
- 20:50Speaker 1: And I was standing there next to the little girl like, yeah,
- 20:54Speaker 1: neilled it. I was watching a little girl. It is
- 21:02Speaker 1: a dog in there. You do know what's a dog
- 21:05Speaker 1: in there? Yeah, So don't say anything and go stay
- 21:07Speaker 1: at the brother's house. Yeah, I'll stay at a hotel. Yeah,

- 24:44Speaker 1: what you're trying to do. And then you ain't been
- 24:46Speaker 1: the man. Huh. Look let me calling up to my
- 24:49Speaker 1: job talking like this. I'm already on hot from the

- 25:16Speaker 1: All that money I didn't drop for this? How about
- 25:18Speaker 1: two bottles of wine to it you? When you I
- 25:21Speaker 1: ain't seeing no wine. I don't care if you got
- 25:24Speaker 1: that wine or not. I saw her mamma drinking it. Okay, well,
- 25:26Speaker 1: I ain't getting no wine. I don't remember nobody bringing
- 25:29Speaker 1: no wine. See, butching only see everything that go on.
- 25:32Speaker 1: I got class. I don't know what she's talking about,
- 25:34Speaker 1: butchee whatever. I bought some wine. My mama was drinking it,
- 25:38Speaker 1: and I ain't playing that. This weading going down. I
- 25:40Speaker 1: don't spend over twenty three thousand dollars on that. Hey man,
- 25:42Speaker 1: I hadn't already told you that the family didn't voted
- 25:45Speaker 1: on that the wind name. I don't give up what
- 25:48Speaker 1: the family voted on. I don't paid for this. I
- 25:51Speaker 1: ain't heard nothing from Christians about this. Christian might not
- 25:53Speaker 1: know what we didn't voted on. We've made the decisions
- 25:56Speaker 1: sometimes for everybody. You understand that don't clue me. Well,
- 26:00Speaker 1: let Christen know that we've been to stop the wed Well,
- 26:03Speaker 1: I'm just calling to let you know before I didn't

- 26:14Speaker 1: of here. I'm paid all this money for this. Man,
- 26:16Speaker 1: y'all ain't stopping. Hey, man, I haven't already told you
- 26:19Speaker 1: what we're doing, all right, I'm nothing to continue to
- 26:21Speaker 1: go back and forth with you. You better go off
- 26:23Speaker 1: my all raising your voice at me. I don't know
- 26:25Speaker 1: gonna tell you. I'll tell you what. Let me say
- 26:27Speaker 1: this to you. I don't care if I got to
- 26:29Speaker 1: bust up in that church and stop this wind because
- 26:32Speaker 1: you don't win against what we just said. Whatever I
- 26:34Speaker 1: got to do, I don't know who you I wish
- 26:37Speaker 1: y'all try to stop this wedding. Look, we can handle
- 26:40Speaker 1: it right now. I can get off of work. I'm
- 26:42Speaker 1: already going through some books and I'm already on fire.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I will come there and bust yo right now. I
- 26:48Speaker 1: don't know you know what see see see what she
- 26:50Speaker 1: was going with Nigel. See Nigel, ain't act like this
- 26:53Speaker 1: saying oh what what? I don't know? You didn't bring
- 26:55Speaker 1: that me and that doesn't already don't even bring that
- 26:59Speaker 1: came up in me. Man. Amen, I'm just keeping it
- 27:01Speaker 1: real with you. Nigel. A act like this hill that
- 27:04Speaker 1: we gonna have words. And if that want to come
- 27:06Speaker 1: and bust up in that too, he get dealt with
- 27:08Speaker 1: up like that. Man. All I'm just trying to say
- 27:11Speaker 1: is a harm family, a hunt palla. I want to
- 27:13Speaker 1: hear nothing about it, no more. Tell me where to
- 27:15Speaker 1: beat and we can deal with this right now. I'm
- 27:17Speaker 1: just letting you know. The family then voted the family
- 27:20Speaker 1: and already voting. Now what we will do We'll push
- 27:23Speaker 1: the wind back and then give us time to reevaluate you.
- 27:28Speaker 1: We evaluate me. I don't even know evaluate you from y'all.
- 27:31Speaker 1: And here Christy getting married and I put some money
- 27:33Speaker 1: on it. All I know is the wedding ain't happening.
- 27:36Speaker 1: That the wedding is happening now. I thought I'm paid
- 27:38Speaker 1: falling he sawsome bulls you the family, we're gonna get
- 27:43Speaker 1: married in two and a half weeks and if y'all
- 27:45Speaker 1: don't come in. If y'all come up in that, y'all
- 27:47Speaker 1: gonna get dealt with it straight on. I'm training that.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I'm trying to say. Amen, I'm trying to tell you man,
- 27:53Speaker 1: right now, the family don't want you in the family
- 27:56Speaker 1: right now. I don't give about you. I ain't in
- 27:59Speaker 1: love with y'all. I'm mar and Christmas. I can give
- 28:01Speaker 1: a if I see y'all ever again. Oh, I'm gonna
- 28:03Speaker 1: tell you this here. The family voted on one more thing.
- 28:06Speaker 1: You need to go. Don know that while we're at it.
- 28:08Speaker 1: This ain't no damn democracy. We're getting married. That is
- 28:11Speaker 1: between huh and I and if y'all I don't want
- 28:13Speaker 1: to be there, jump off and the this. Yeah, it's
- 28:16Speaker 1: one more thing. We didn't vote it on what you
- 28:19Speaker 1: don't vote it on. We voted on this. This is
- 28:22Speaker 1: nephew Tommy from the Steve Horby Morning Show. Christians and
- 28:26Speaker 1: Todd Family got me the prank phone. Call you, Yosseth,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I'm still going to come to the wedding toy. I
- 28:41Speaker 1: don't put all that money out like that. I was like, no, Sun,
- 28:46Speaker 1: I got one more thing. I got to ask you, dog,
- 28:47Speaker 1: what is what is the baddest and I mean the
- 28:50Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land. Steve Harry Morning Show.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Baby Tommy, I'm being real with you, man, somebody gonna
- 29:00Speaker 1: you up, all right, sirly in the words, oh me,
- 29:08Speaker 1: how ridy even stupid? Y'all ain't nobody needs y'all approval
- 29:17Speaker 1: on nothing. You ain't saying nothing to her about this
- 29:19Speaker 1: so quickly? No, and all right, guys coming up thinking
- 29:24Speaker 1: that you coming up at the top of the hour
- 29:26Speaker 1: of We'll have Entertainment and National News with miss Anne
- 29:29Speaker 1: Tripp right after this. You're listening, okay, so our forever
- 29:38Speaker 1: first Lady Michelle Obama revealed on her podcast that she's
- 29:42Speaker 1: dealing with a form of low grade depression, and she
- 29:45Speaker 1: says it's partly brought on by the current administration. Um
- 29:51Speaker 1: that ain't depressed you that we can understand that I'm
- 29:58Speaker 1: suffering from an episode the hallow grade depression, Hi and
- 30:03Speaker 1: low Yeah, I'm sick of his ass for real. The
- 30:07Speaker 1: new episode of the Michelle Obama podcast aired yesterday and
- 30:10Speaker 1: Missus Obama talked about the nationwide civil unrest and Trump's
- 30:14Speaker 1: responds to it. She said it's all bringing her down.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Let's listen to what she had to say, and spiritually,
- 30:21Speaker 1: these are not fulfilling time spiritually, so I know that
- 30:25Speaker 1: I am dealing with some form of low grade depression,
- 30:30Speaker 1: not just because of the quarantine, but because of the
- 30:33Speaker 1: racial strife and just seeing this administration, watching the hypocrisy
- 30:38Speaker 1: of it day in and day out, is dispiriting. You know,
- 30:41Speaker 1: I don't think I'm unusual in that, but I'd be
- 30:45Speaker 1: remissed to say that part of this depression is also
- 30:49Speaker 1: a result of what we're seeing in terms of the protests,
- 30:53Speaker 1: the continued racial unrest that has plagued this country since
- 30:58Speaker 1: its birth. I have to say that waking up to
- 31:03Speaker 1: the news, waking up to how this administration has or
- 31:07Speaker 1: has not responded, waking up to yet another story of
- 31:12Speaker 1: a black man or a black person somehow being dehumanized
- 31:17Speaker 1: or hurt or killed or falsely accused of something, it
- 31:22Speaker 1: is exhausting. And it has led to a weight that
- 31:27Speaker 1: I haven't felt in my life in a while. Wow.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Oh true, I think a lot of you know, when
- 31:35Speaker 1: she said it's exhausting, I think that's what a lot
- 31:38Speaker 1: of us feel. It's just it's tiring, and that's why
- 31:41Speaker 1: I applaud the young people out here who have not
- 31:46Speaker 1: seen as much as some older people and are dealing
- 31:51Speaker 1: with it on everybody's behalf, because like I said, I
- 31:55Speaker 1: said it jokingly, but I really mean it though. Protest
- 31:59Speaker 1: is a young person sport and it just really is.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Man people come over. Man. When Mary Luther King was old,
- 32:06Speaker 1: Mary Luther King was thirty eight years old when he died.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I mean no, no, no, no no. When he was killed,
- 32:12Speaker 1: he was thirty eight years old, so he had been
- 32:15Speaker 1: marching long before that. It really is a a young
- 32:18Speaker 1: person's sport. The advantage we have now is my generation
- 32:23Speaker 1: has a lot of a lot of experience with it
- 32:26Speaker 1: and can share some of the nuances of it. But
- 32:29Speaker 1: these young lines out here, they're ruling the correct way,
- 32:32Speaker 1: and these basketball players and NFL players kneeling and not
- 32:36Speaker 1: getting up and not gonna let you change the narrative
- 32:39Speaker 1: because you just want to say it's about the military
- 32:41Speaker 1: and the flame. I think it's absolutely astonishing what they're doing.
- 32:45Speaker 1: And I so appreciate the non African Americans who have
- 32:48Speaker 1: joined in on the fight to protest, and so yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 1: what she's saying is it's exhausting, and that's why, like
- 32:56Speaker 1: I even heard Shack on TNT say, man, I just
- 32:59Speaker 1: approve all the young people are there with you know,
- 33:02Speaker 1: just you know, I mean, for everything they're doing, and
- 33:05Speaker 1: because older people know what it takes to be out there.
- 33:09Speaker 1: And I'm just very appreciative of their effort. Like their bravery, man,
- 33:13Speaker 1: I like their bravery. They're just not scared. They're not
- 33:16Speaker 1: scared at all. Yeah, and they go for it. You're right,
- 33:20Speaker 1: And I think it's very brave. I was gonna say
- 33:22Speaker 1: that it's very brave of the first Lady of the
- 33:25Speaker 1: United States, former first Lady to talk about low grade depression,
- 33:29Speaker 1: you know that deals with mental health and all of that.
- 33:32Speaker 1: You know, that's very brave of her to talk about that.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I'm sure she helped a lot of If you're an
- 33:37Speaker 1: African American, you have a form of that. Man, it's
- 33:40Speaker 1: exhausting to me, that's what it is. I mean, I'm
- 33:42Speaker 1: just telling you the truth. All right, Let's go to
- 33:45Speaker 1: the news to ladies and gentlemen, Miss ann Trip, thank you.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Talk about exhausting. Here we go. Several countries have come
- 33:52Speaker 1: forward with offers of help for Lebanon in the wake
- 33:54Speaker 1: of the massive explosion in Beirut. Earlier this week. That
- 33:57Speaker 1: explosion killed at least one hundred and thirty people and
- 34:00Speaker 1: injured some five thousand others. Lebanon's president says the blast
- 34:04Speaker 1: was caused by ammonium nitrate that was unsafely stored that
- 34:07Speaker 1: that was the reason Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tali but easily
- 34:11Speaker 1: won Tuesday's Democratic primary. Talib was the first Palestinian American
- 34:15Speaker 1: woman ever elected to the USA Congress. She defeated her opponent,
- 34:19Speaker 1: Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones, by a wide margin,
- 34:23Speaker 1: really really easily, winning twice as many votes as she
- 34:26Speaker 1: did the first time around. Rashida Talib gained national recognition,
- 34:29Speaker 1: you may remember, by battling with President Trump with the
- 34:32Speaker 1: other newly elected progressive women of color, including aoc WHO,
- 34:36Speaker 1: a group that President Trump calls the Squad. According to
- 34:40Speaker 1: The Washington Post, Republican officials have been considering using the
- 34:43Speaker 1: White House South Lawn to have Donald Trump accept the
- 34:46Speaker 1: Republican Party's presidential nomination later this month, But how Speaker
- 34:50Speaker 1: Nancy Pelosi tells MSNBC that the idea is unprecedented and
- 34:54Speaker 1: outrageous for the president of the United States to degrade
- 34:57Speaker 1: once again. The White House sc has done over and
- 35:00Speaker 1: over again by saying he's going to completely politicize it
- 35:04Speaker 1: is something that should be rejected right out of hand.
- 35:08Speaker 1: By the way, even some Republicans wonder if it's legal,
- 35:11Speaker 1: but Trump says that regular restrictions do not apply to him.
- 35:15Speaker 1: You may remember that the GOP first wanted to hold
- 35:17Speaker 1: its annual convention in North Carolina, and then it was
- 35:19Speaker 1: switched to Florida, and then it was finally canceled while
- 35:23Speaker 1: over escalating coronavirus infections in those states. The Federal Appeals
- 35:28Speaker 1: Court in Washington, DC has agreed to rehear arguments in
- 35:31Speaker 1: the case against Michael Flynn, President Trump's former national security advisor.
- 35:35Speaker 1: Flynn held a position for only twenty two days before
- 35:38Speaker 1: he was forced out of it for lying to federal
- 35:40Speaker 1: investigators looking into Russia's alleged election meddling. The court says
- 35:44Speaker 1: it will hear oral arguments in the Flynn case on
- 35:47Speaker 1: October eleventh. Excuse me. On August eleventh, Attorney General William
- 35:51Speaker 1: Barr tried to back away from prosecuting Flynn. If you
- 35:53Speaker 1: may remember, even though Flynn pleaded guilty and lying to
- 35:55Speaker 1: the fits not once but twice and Flynn got a
- 35:58Speaker 1: new lawyer though, whose challenging the FBI's actions in this case.
- 36:01Speaker 1: So you know, stay tuned on that. And finally, General
- 36:04Speaker 1: Charles Q. Brown, the first black man to command the
- 36:06Speaker 1: military service, takes command today as Chief of the Air Force.
- 36:10Speaker 1: General Brown, as an F sixteen pilot, recently commanded the
- 36:13Speaker 1: US Air Force in the Pacific back in June, after
- 36:15Speaker 1: the police murder general of George Floyd, General Brown made
- 36:19Speaker 1: an emotional video where he talked about what he had
- 36:21Speaker 1: to go through as a black military officer, about my
- 36:23Speaker 1: Air Force career where I was often the only African
- 36:26Speaker 1: American in my squadron. I'm thinking about wearying the same
- 36:28Speaker 1: flight suit with the same wings on my chest as
- 36:31Speaker 1: my peers, and they mean question by another military member,
- 36:34Speaker 1: are you a pilot? Congrats to General Charles Brown, Chief
- 36:38Speaker 1: of the Air Force. Now back to the Steve Harvey
- 36:40Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show. All right, So,
- 36:44Speaker 1: according to TMZ, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are
- 36:48Speaker 1: working on their marriage. They're in a very remote private location.
- 36:52Speaker 1: They jumped on a private jet with their children flew
- 36:55Speaker 1: to a tropical island they are staying in an a
- 36:57Speaker 1: state that is basically a fortress. There's no way trespassers
- 37:01Speaker 1: or the paparazzi can get close to them. Sources close
- 37:04Speaker 1: to TMZ have reported that this will not be a
- 37:07Speaker 1: short trip and it is a last ditch effort to
- 37:10Speaker 1: save their marriage. I'm glad they're working on their marriage.
- 37:13Speaker 1: As you know, Kanye took to Twitter recently with a
- 37:17Speaker 1: just a barrage of just crazy, disrespectful tweets about his marriage,
- 37:22Speaker 1: about his mother in law, you know, not cool. We
- 37:25Speaker 1: really hope that this works out for them because you know,
- 37:28Speaker 1: I think you mentioned it yesterday, Steve. We hate to
- 37:31Speaker 1: see people break up. I mean seriously, we really do they. Tommy,
- 37:37Speaker 1: if you are a fortress, why is a paper rose
- 37:41Speaker 1: looking for you? I mean who was paying for these
- 37:44Speaker 1: paper ride? Where they getting all these flight tickets to
- 37:46Speaker 1: fan at where you at it stand outside and take
- 37:48Speaker 1: a pictures. It's the money that they get for the pictures. Pictures. Yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: they'll go to They spend their own money to try
- 37:57Speaker 1: to get that million. The most varazzi's a freelance. You
- 38:02Speaker 1: see these guys with TMZ cameras, they're freelance. They get
- 38:06Speaker 1: to TMZ label, they put it on their camera, they freelance.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Some of them cool dude. So some of them is
- 38:11Speaker 1: cool people I have usually have a good relationship with him.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Some of them really cool people. I have heard off
- 38:16Speaker 1: for your picture times you put it out there. I
- 38:21Speaker 1: know you've put it out. Just turn it in. I
- 38:23Speaker 1: need a game, all right. So, speaking of Kanye, according
- 38:27Speaker 1: to Forbes dot com, I'm waiting to get that picture.
- 38:29Speaker 1: You buying them Chicken Wayne almost say him And let
- 38:38Speaker 1: me tell you guys about this. Kanye has chosen a
- 38:41Speaker 1: running mate. Okay, he has chosen Michelle Tidball for a
- 38:45Speaker 1: VP of the United States on his birthday party. So
- 38:50Speaker 1: he'll run for the president and she'll be vice president.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Michelle Tidball. I'm sure none of us have heard of her,
- 38:57Speaker 1: but she's a self proclaimed Biblical life coach. Michelle Biblical
- 39:03Speaker 1: life coach. Okay, she's a fifty seven year old white woman.
- 39:07Speaker 1: She's from Cody, Wyoming. She runs an online Bible study.
- 39:12Speaker 1: She works in a dental office, and so far she
- 39:15Speaker 1: said nothing publicly. We haven't heard anything from her publicly
- 39:19Speaker 1: about Kanye's campaign or so, he went to the dentist
- 39:22Speaker 1: while he was in Wyoming and he hooked up with her.
- 39:25Speaker 1: How it is happen? Good question time for this? We
- 39:30Speaker 1: really don't Steve. He also said that jay Z would
- 39:33Speaker 1: be a good running mate. Ain't not getting this. Don't
- 39:39Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four. We're gonna move on now.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour. Kevin
- 39:44Speaker 1: Hard is in the news. He says he's sick of
- 39:46Speaker 1: internet trolls. We'll talk about it right after this. You're
- 39:49Speaker 1: listening string show. Kevin Hard in the news once again.
- 39:55Speaker 1: He's expressing his frustration with social media trolls, and an
- 39:59Speaker 1: Instagram video posted yesterday, he said the social media sugar
- 40:03Speaker 1: honey iced tea is getting out of hand. He came
- 40:06Speaker 1: under fire and received a lot of negative comments when
- 40:09Speaker 1: he defended Ellen Degenerous recently. Social media trolls also claimed
- 40:14Speaker 1: that Kevin did not offer that same support to Nick
- 40:17Speaker 1: Cannon when he went through his recent public ordeal. Kevin
- 40:20Speaker 1: cleared up the misconceptions and said he's a friend and
- 40:23Speaker 1: will always be there for his friends, whether publicly or privately.
- 40:27Speaker 1: He's saying he's praying for a better place, for a
- 40:31Speaker 1: better understanding. People go through stuff and as a friend.
- 40:34Speaker 1: He's always there to support them and help them get
- 40:37Speaker 1: through it. So people don't know all the time what's
- 40:40Speaker 1: going on behind the scenes, just because they don't do
- 40:42Speaker 1: it publicly. So people are upset with Ellen as well. Look,
- 40:50Speaker 1: I don't understand this story. I've been on Ellen show
- 40:54Speaker 1: many times. I've talked with her personally, I've been in
- 40:57Speaker 1: business with her. I don't know old anything that they're
- 41:02Speaker 1: talking about. I've never seen it. Now does that mean
- 41:06Speaker 1: there are no problems? Of course it doesn't. But Ellen
- 41:10Speaker 1: Degenerous in no shape form of fashion as a racist person.
- 41:14Speaker 1: I could just flat out tell you that. Look, man,
- 41:17Speaker 1: I've been black the whole sixty three years. You can't
- 41:21Speaker 1: fool me with racism. Cover No, no, don't not even
- 41:30Speaker 1: it's not it's not just that I've had many personal
- 41:33Speaker 1: conversations with this woman. Ellen Degenerous is not racist in
- 41:38Speaker 1: any shape form of fashion. Now, they don't need a
- 41:41Speaker 1: coming after me because I'm making a true statement. Now,
- 41:44Speaker 1: there may be some people barking about some producers on
- 41:47Speaker 1: the show, and there could be something going on, but
- 41:50Speaker 1: what they're trying to do is make it all about
- 41:53Speaker 1: her and I just of course, you know, she's a star.
- 41:59Speaker 1: It's not a star unless you put Ellen on it,
- 42:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean? And so I don't. I
- 42:03Speaker 1: don't know exactly what Kevin Hard said. I'm just saying
- 42:07Speaker 1: I've known this woman for a number of years. She
- 42:11Speaker 1: is really one of the coolest people in show business.
- 42:14Speaker 1: I've seen no shape form a fashion of it on
- 42:17Speaker 1: her show. I haven't seen. It doesn't mean that it
- 42:19Speaker 1: doesn't that it doesn't exist, of course not. You could
- 42:22Speaker 1: have a problem person working for you and you not
- 42:25Speaker 1: be aware of it. There's so many stuff that happens underneath. Bro. Bro,
- 42:33Speaker 1: you know how many people I've had to release that
- 42:37Speaker 1: Get out my life, man? You know, go ahead, No,
- 42:42Speaker 1: I was gonna say, it's not so much that he
- 42:44Speaker 1: was defending Ellen. It's the fact that they see him
- 42:48Speaker 1: defending Ellen, but they don't think he came to Nick
- 42:50Speaker 1: Cannon's defense when Nick was going through what he went through.
- 42:54Speaker 1: You know, wait a minute, y'all, hold up. Let's say.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Let me say so, because a person is black, don't
- 43:00Speaker 1: mean you have a relationship with him. You know, you know,
- 43:06Speaker 1: you can make a general statement about Ellen without having
- 43:08Speaker 1: a personal relationship. You can make a general statement about
- 43:11Speaker 1: Nick without having a person relationship. Nick cann is a
- 43:14Speaker 1: cool guy and have a relationship. I mean, you know,
- 43:19Speaker 1: oh yeah, and they once they start that wagon swinging. Man,
- 43:23Speaker 1: it's it's so hard to believe how many people jump
- 43:26Speaker 1: on board that thing, man, you know, And you know,
- 43:30Speaker 1: I think Nick is a great guy. Man. I don't
- 43:32Speaker 1: think Nick really intended it the way it came out,
- 43:36Speaker 1: But it just came out badly for the guy. You know,
- 43:39Speaker 1: He's gonna work through it, you know, he said, what
- 43:40Speaker 1: do you do? You know? But now you got to
- 43:43Speaker 1: get to that point where it starts, starts, starts working
- 43:46Speaker 1: itself through. Somebody sent me a text one time and
- 43:49Speaker 1: I screen shot. I keep it in my motivation. What
- 43:53Speaker 1: is it saying? It says, don't worry about the people
- 43:57Speaker 1: God removed from your life. He heard conversations you didn't,
- 44:02Speaker 1: saw things you couldn't, and made moves you wouldn't. Okay,
- 44:08Speaker 1: all right, I think we need to hear that one
- 44:10Speaker 1: more time. Don't worry about the people God removed from
- 44:13Speaker 1: your life. He heard conversations you didn't, saw things you couldn't,
- 44:18Speaker 1: and made moves you wouldn't. Wow. I like it, right,
- 44:25Speaker 1: So I understand that that's a pearl. I get every
- 44:28Speaker 1: last point, all three of them moves you wouldn't. Yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 1: well he heard what you did, not hear? Man, I've
- 44:39Speaker 1: been talking about me all right. Coming up, Neg's nephew
- 44:42Speaker 1: with the prank phone call of the day right after
- 44:44Speaker 1: this you're listening to. Coming up at the top of
- 44:50Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 44:53Speaker 1: letter for today. The subject I thought I was dating him,
- 44:56Speaker 1: not his mama. I thought I was dating him, not
- 45:00Speaker 1: his mama. That is the subject. Uh. We'll get into
- 45:04Speaker 1: that in a bed, but right now it is time
- 45:06Speaker 1: for the nephew in today's prank phone call. What you
- 45:08Speaker 1: got for us nowt My bones is a weak. I'm
- 45:14Speaker 1: gonna say it again. My bones is weak. That's what
- 45:20Speaker 1: it is. Are we but okay? No, no, no, no, no.
- 45:22Speaker 1: My bones is weak. You got it? Weak? Weak? Weak? Yeah, weak,
- 45:30Speaker 1: my bone everything is weak. Well, you can't hardy walk
- 45:36Speaker 1: if your bones you got a lot of weed in it. Yeah,
- 45:39Speaker 1: you are scarrecrow hut, let's go catch dog my bones.
- 45:44Speaker 1: It's weak. Come on, hello, Hello, I'm trying to uh,
- 45:49Speaker 1: I'm trying to speak to Ron. Yeah, this is run Hey, Ron,
- 45:52Speaker 1: how are you doing. It's folly man. How are your brother?
- 45:55Speaker 1: I'm doing folly? Hey, Hey, I want to congratulate man
- 45:59Speaker 1: on the on the base. Man. I wasn't able to
- 46:00Speaker 1: make it to the baby shower, man, but I want

- 46:24Speaker 1: just you want, you know, I wanted to give you
- 46:26Speaker 1: big ups. I heard the baby came and everything, and
- 46:28Speaker 1: I wanted to just a little girl, a little girl.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Y'all had a little girl. Yeah, yeah, all right, we'll
- 46:33Speaker 1: congratulations man, congratulations Ron. I wanted to definitely call and
- 46:38Speaker 1: congratulate man and um baby real quick? What um? What

- 46:44Speaker 1: We had one from my side of the family and
- 46:46Speaker 1: then one from my wife's side because you know, they
- 46:48Speaker 1: live different places and stuff. Man, So which one do
- 46:51Speaker 1: you think she was there? Uh? Probably on your wife's side,
- 46:54Speaker 1: you know. Okay, okay, she knows my wife. Well. Now
- 46:58Speaker 1: see see Denia is actually is with U with Kendra.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Now you know Kendra, right, woh yeah I know Kindra.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that's good thing. She was. She was with Kendra. Okay,
- 47:07Speaker 1: yeah she comes. They played cards, you know. Okay, okay,
- 47:11Speaker 1: yeah she she was with Kendra. Man. And um, she
- 47:13Speaker 1: was just telling me how successful man, how nice it was,
- 47:16Speaker 1: and you know, laid out baby shower. I wasn't able
- 47:18Speaker 1: to make it. Man, I've been a little under the weather, bro,
- 47:20Speaker 1: you know. And uh, you know, with with God's help, man,
- 47:22Speaker 1: I'll be able to get back on my feet. You

- 47:54Speaker 1: you know, my wife knows Kendrad and they hang out,
- 47:56Speaker 1: and uh, I guess she's she's dabbled a couple of
- 47:59Speaker 1: times and been around. You know, your wife is your

- 48:35Speaker 1: they my bones are deteriorating. You know, That's kind of
- 48:39Speaker 1: what I'm what I've been going through, man Um. And
- 48:43Speaker 1: if I don't uh get the proper medication that I need, Man,
- 48:48Speaker 1: then the week, you know it within the next three
- 48:51Speaker 1: months here though, it could it could get pretty bad.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Well, then I'm sorry to
- 48:59Speaker 1: hear that, bro Um. It's you know, all I can
- 49:02Speaker 1: do is man. And you know, well, Man, I the
- 49:08Speaker 1: doctor told me that if bron the doctor told me
- 49:15Speaker 1: Man that you know if I get the right medication, man,
- 49:19Speaker 1: that you know, I could get back up to seventy
- 49:22Speaker 1: five healthy again. You know what I'm saying. So you know,
- 49:27Speaker 1: it's just a rare type of thing that I need
- 49:30Speaker 1: to try and get. And I think that you might
- 49:34Speaker 1: be I think you can't help me. Be strong, man,
- 49:37Speaker 1: be strong, just man, see down. It's gonna be all right.

- 50:00Speaker 1: enough calseum and stuff back into my bones that would
- 50:04Speaker 1: get me back up to seventy to eighty five percent healthy. Yeah,
- 50:09Speaker 1: I ain't got no breast. But you know it's not
- 50:14Speaker 1: it's not you wrong. You you don't you know, but
- 50:17Speaker 1: you know your your wife does. Thought. Whoa, you're talking
- 50:22Speaker 1: about my wife's breast man. I'm not not directly man,
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying that chickens, you know. I mean, if
- 50:30Speaker 1: I had her breast milk for like six months straight, man,
- 50:33Speaker 1: I could get back hold again. Man. Oh you'll talk
- 50:37Speaker 1: about a man's wife or her breast. Now, I just gotta,
- 50:40Speaker 1: I gotta. I'm just just all. I'm asking for my
- 50:44Speaker 1: wife's breast milk. Man. Man, I'm just asking y'all to

- 50:51Speaker 1: You got the wrong one, man, the wrong one, and
- 50:54Speaker 1: you said your name was Man. Is wrong. Man, it's wrong. No,
- 51:01Speaker 1: we're just talking about six months of breast smilk. Man,

- 55:18Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry letter. All right, thank you nephew.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Subject I thought I was dating him, not his mama.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a twenty nine year old woman
- 55:29Speaker 1: and I was in a relationship with a thirty one
- 55:31Speaker 1: year old man. We both have degrees and promising careers.
- 55:36Speaker 1: He came from a solid middle class family and I
- 55:39Speaker 1: was raised by a single mother with very humble beginnings.
- 55:43Speaker 1: We have been dating for two years and my boyfriend's
- 55:47Speaker 1: mother does not like me. He told his mom he
- 55:50Speaker 1: always tried to hook him up. He told me that
- 55:53Speaker 1: his mom had always tried to hook him up with
- 55:56Speaker 1: successful women in town, but he was never interested. I
- 56:00Speaker 1: tried to overlook her, and I was pleasant whenever I
- 56:03Speaker 1: was around her. I can tell when she's saying nasty
- 56:06Speaker 1: things about me on the phone because my boyfriend has
- 56:09Speaker 1: a nervous laugh, and then he would rush her off
- 56:12Speaker 1: the phone. He recently moved back home with his parents
- 56:16Speaker 1: to save money to buy a house, so I have
- 56:18Speaker 1: to visit him there. He has asked me to make
- 56:22Speaker 1: myself comfortable when I'm there, but it's hard. His mom
- 56:25Speaker 1: has said to me, it's not your fault. You were
- 56:28Speaker 1: not exposed to certain things growing up, and she has
- 56:30Speaker 1: called me ghetto a few times and tried to laugh
- 56:33Speaker 1: it off. But the most hurtful thing was a text
- 56:36Speaker 1: exchange my boyfriend had with his mom. She texted him
- 56:40Speaker 1: that he could do better and be with a classy woman.
- 56:43Speaker 1: He responded to her and said that she didn't need
- 56:45Speaker 1: to worry because I'd only be around for a season,
- 56:49Speaker 1: not a lifetime. I told him I checked his messages
- 56:52Speaker 1: and I broke up with him. He said he didn't
- 56:54Speaker 1: mean it. He only said that to end the conversation
- 56:58Speaker 1: with his mom. He may His mom called me to apologize,
- 57:02Speaker 1: and I ended up basically cursing her out. My boyfriend said,
- 57:07Speaker 1: there's no way we could ever be together since I
- 57:10Speaker 1: did that. I don't see anything wrong with standing up
- 57:12Speaker 1: for myself. After all the stuff his mama has done
- 57:15Speaker 1: to me, has she won in the end? Well, Sis,
- 57:20Speaker 1: I cannot go with you on this one because you
- 57:23Speaker 1: did say you cursed his mom out right, Well, you
- 57:27Speaker 1: can't do that. I know she's disrespectful, I know all
- 57:32Speaker 1: of that. The fact that you didn't see anything wrong
- 57:34Speaker 1: with it is really a problem, and he's not going
- 57:38Speaker 1: to forgive you for that. And I'm all for you
- 57:41Speaker 1: standing up for yourself, don't get me wrong, But I
- 57:44Speaker 1: just think you went too far with the cursing out
- 57:46Speaker 1: of the mom. I know, I know, like I said,
- 57:49Speaker 1: she's disrespectful to you. She's completely out of line, calling
- 57:53Speaker 1: you names, ghetto and all that kind of stuff. But
- 57:55Speaker 1: that is his mom. He's supposed to check her when
- 57:58Speaker 1: it comes to you. You should direct your anger to him,
- 58:02Speaker 1: not her. But then again, he's obviously a mama's boy, right,
- 58:07Speaker 1: and he's not gonna do it. That's why you need
- 58:10Speaker 1: to leave him. Just write where he is after two years?
- 58:13Speaker 1: Haven't you had enough of her and him? After two years?
- 58:16Speaker 1: He doesn't defend you, and when you do stand up
- 58:20Speaker 1: for yourself, then you know he can't see a future
- 58:23Speaker 1: for you. Guys, And let me tell you this, I
- 58:26Speaker 1: think you have been standing up for yourself quite well.
- 58:29Speaker 1: You've been doing it forever. So what, he was raised
- 58:32Speaker 1: in a nice middle class family. That's great, you know,
- 58:35Speaker 1: lucky him. But I say to you, take your eyes
- 58:38Speaker 1: off them and just look at your accomplishments for a second.
- 58:41Speaker 1: You said that you came from humble beginnings and a
- 58:44Speaker 1: single mom, and look at what you've accomplished. You finished college,
- 58:48Speaker 1: You have a promising career, you said. I say again,
- 58:51Speaker 1: you've done quite well for yourself. They should be congratulating you.
- 58:55Speaker 1: She should be welcoming you to the family, happy that
- 58:58Speaker 1: you're dating her son. They shouldn't be hating on you.
- 59:01Speaker 1: They definitely have this situation twisted, and you know you
- 59:05Speaker 1: may as well know it now. You see it, don't you.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Mamma's boy is not going to be able to get
- 59:09Speaker 1: past you cussing out his mom. So I mean, I
- 59:13Speaker 1: don't see a future here because he's not gonna stand
- 59:16Speaker 1: up to his mom. And that's what you're gonna have
- 59:18Speaker 1: to need if you want to go any further in
- 59:21Speaker 1: this relationship with mama's boy. Doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Steve,
- 59:25Speaker 1: good Riddens, that's what you should be saying to yourself
- 59:30Speaker 1: right now. You found out just in the nick of
- 59:34Speaker 1: time what you were dealing with. Both of you all
- 59:38Speaker 1: got degrees, promising careers. He came from solid middle ground.
- 59:42Speaker 1: You had humble beginnings. We've been dating two years. Your
- 59:45Speaker 1: boyfriend mother don't like you. She's always tried to hook
- 59:49Speaker 1: him up with successful woman, but he was not interested.
- 59:53Speaker 1: You always tried to overlook at you with pleasant whenever
- 59:55Speaker 1: you're around him. She talked nasty about you. Recently hit
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: a part right here. This was a letter turns for me.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: He recently moved back home with his parents to save
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: money to buy a house. That rarely happens, because he
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: moved back home yourself at thirty one to save money
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: to buy a house. People buy houses without moving back
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: home all the time. So I don't get this part, man,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: That part right there sounds real shaky to me, and
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: when we come back, I'm gonna agree with Shirley on
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a mama's boy. This is a mama's boy. Man, Run now, girl,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: because this is he not fitting to stop being a
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: mama's he'd already moved back home at thirty one. How
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: much more of a boy can you be? All right, Steve,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: hang on right there. We'll have part two of your
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: response coming up to today's Strawberry Letter at twenty three
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: minutes after the hour of the title. I thought I
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: was dating him, not his mama. We'll get back into
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening show, all right? Come on, Steve,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry Letter. Subject I thought I was
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: dating him, not his mama. Or you thought wrong? You're
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: dating his mama. He's a mama's boy. Right, Both of
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: y'all got degrees. He middle class, you grew up humble. Here.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: The whole problem is Mama don't like you, thank you.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: She thinks he could have did better. She don't think
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: you in You've tried to be nice to him. You
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: overlook all the stuff she talked to you, real nasty. Now,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: your boyfriend recently moved back home with his parents to
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: save money to buy a house. Now, little people move
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: back home to save money. I got that, not thirty
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: one year old men. Thirty one year old men don't
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: go back home. I just don't, man, unless you just
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: out on. Look, now he going back to save money.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: This is a mama's boy. Man. I'm sorry, you know.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: And then he asked you to make yourself comfortable when
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: you're over there. You're somebody else's house. But it's hard.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: His mom said to you, it's not your fault. You
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: would not exposed to certain things growing up. She didn't
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: called you get her a few times, tried to laugh
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: at all. But the hurtful thing for you was a
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: text exchange you saw between him and his mama. She
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: texts him that he could do better and be with
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: a classy woman. He responded to her and said that
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: she didn't need to worry because you'd only be around
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: for a season, not a lifetime. Then you told the
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: dude you checked his message, and I broke up with him.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: He said he didn't mean it. He only said that
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: at the end of the conversation with his mom. Way, man,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: hold up, wow, if you're on the end of conversation
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: with your mom. You hang on the phone. Just hang
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: down my mama. Mama, I got to go now. You
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: ain't got to text that back. He texts that because
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: he meant it. Now. Did he have his mama call
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: you to apolo jobs? Yeah, but you knew it was
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a weak apology, so you cussed out. Now. I agree
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: with Shirley, that's the mistake you made. See see, you
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: gotta stay on the high side system. But this was
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: a great learning experience because this traumatic moment exposed a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: couple of flaws in the relationship. Because after you cussed
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: his mama out, But he wants you to forgive him
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: for saying she and she only for a season. She
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: ain't gonna be with me for a lifetime. He wants
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: you to forgive that, but he ain't gonna forgive you
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: custom his mamau Right. My boyfriend said there was no
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: way we could ever be together since I did that.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: I don't see anything wrong with standing up for myself.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: That's to get away. You better believe that, girl, that's
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: to get away. Hold on to that because that's gonna
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: come in hand it a few more times in your life.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Stand up for yourself. But there's other ways of standing
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: up for yours. She's an old bit of chick. Just
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: let her ride it out, you twenty nine? Fine, Now
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: he ain't got you no more. But he didn't just
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: took his mama's side. There's no way we could be
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: together after this. I say, good riddence, you discovered these
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: and mama's But what you want to do you gotta
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: go over to even date him? Now? Now, how does
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: this work? Now? How do you go back over that
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: with him? He's still at his mama's damn house. You
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: didn't cussed her out? How comfortable you fit to get
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: over that? Now? Right? You couldn't get comfortable at first?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: Now you didn't cussed the ass out and she said
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: she didn't feel bad. No, this relationship is all birth done.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: But it was over with before you cussed out. It
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: was over with when he said you only gonna be
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: around for a season, not a lifetime. It was over.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Then after two years he said that you didn't even
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: have to cuss his mama out. You should have cussed
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: him out, yeah, and went on about your business. But
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: this is good riddance. This can never work. His mother
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: will always bring it up. She'll forever be nasty. He's
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: gonna be forever be a mama's boy, and he gonna
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: be in that house for a long time because I
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: don't know how long it takes savor for a house
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: and thirty one, but it take a while. Yeah, it
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: take a while. So he gonna be at the house
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: and you're dating the dude, the thirty one to live
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: with his mom and daddy. What girl, You could do
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: way better than that by yourself. Yeah, and putting her
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: down and making her feel badly because of the way
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: she was brought up and all of that. That's not cool. Hey,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I was brought up poor. Yeah, all of us single mom.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: I have a single mom raised me. Come on, you've
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: done quite well for yourself, quite well. You should have
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: just cussed him out exactly. That's where you're anger. But
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I guess you know you said Mama might as well
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: get something too with this fake ass apology. Well, I
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: did really mean and like that. I was saying, you
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: get oh, just because you live over there, almar Luther King,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: that's the only reason I said that. And you know,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: you know the fact that you tries to come over
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: and sometimes and you don't know things. We was gonna
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: work with you. We was gonna try to put you
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: in and you know, cultivate you, comfort, you know you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: just you know, you was just so far deep in
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: the hood. It almost wasn't no saving you. But I'm sorry.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I said you was getting But did I lie? Yeah,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: that's a weak apologize. She lit her drums on fire
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and win it that old hag. Now, I say, good
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: ridding system. Congratulations. You know, but you can't. You'll never
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: be able to make this relationship work because you see him.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: You gotta go over there. Yeah, any of the mama's
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: are you just comes to out well here, come to castle,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: well cool here. Yes, I guess she told me miss Ghetto.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I guess you told me She'll never live it down.

- 1:08:38Speaker 1: like to do? I like to um, figure out ways
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: to make money and stay by myself, and plan ways
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: to jump Junior's fence to find out where he is.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Three things and talk a little bit. Let's be honest,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: you stalk a little bit. No, that's called surveillance. Listen
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: to me, is a federal crime surveyor detail structured intellectual endeavor.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: You have to plan, you have to what is a
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: what do you see a perfect date? Being with you
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: and Junior? What is a perfect Oh? We already had it.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: We was in first class together flying the Sandy Soul.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Remember that, Junior. Oh, we had a good time. Man. Listen,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: we had drank so much thick that yeah, okay, this
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: is what made it to date. They had already closed
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the cabin. They had already closed the cabin dough And remember,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: uh was a Monica and I'm sitting in the fourth row,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Charley Monica. Y'all were sitting in the fourth row, Me
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: and Julia sitting in the front. So we stretch out
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: and then when we had enough drank and nodded off
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: to sleep, both of us raised our shirts up because
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: it was hot against the stomach. Air happened. That's what
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: I knew we was meant to be the gab. I
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: knew we was swept our love, Cheryl? Is that sex really? Yes? Yeah,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: we turned that little knob up. Shirley with an air
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: blowout in the cabin and both us and listen to me,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: both of us love, both of us with a f
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: both of us. We need one most segment, come on,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: time to ask something else, ask something? Okay, Well, when
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: we come back, I got more Okay, good, good, because
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: this is going to happen. Junior, I am ready for loving.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: You are too. All right, we'll be back. You heard
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: it at the top of the hour. It was more
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: ready to love right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: We're back with part two and ready to love. Our
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: host nephew Tommy and contestants Cheryl Underwood and Junior. Let's go. Yes, Okay,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: So you know we left off. You gave me the
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: perfect day for you guys. Now give me the perfect
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: intimate setting for when you want to, you know, for
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: that magical moment to happen. Give me that. Well, Tommy, first,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: you know, we must be married to each other because
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get caught slipping on my christ Oh no,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: I can't. Y'all A long way from that? What from nothing?
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Hold on, see you got you gotta stay focused, you
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: gotta have a plan. You gotta first. Kristen counseling, and
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: then Junior, what hurt you go to? I'm quarantine. I can't.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: That's right, bedside baptist sermon on the couch. That's it.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: That's it. Hey, Me and Joe Old stay right on
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: TV together. So that means that our walk is strong.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: We want to be evenly yoked, and I think that
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: we are going all the way to match money because
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: I'm not giving up no ass if sorry, I'm not
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Cheryl Chryl What that slipped out? I apologize all the
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Saints listen to Steve Harvey for the show, but I'm
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: not trying to get called slipping out here. My love
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: for Junior is a gope love. It's tell the end
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: of time, okay, loves. I hate that word love. They
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: use it a lot too. Hell is that that's the
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: kind of love that me and Junior gonna have till
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: death do us part? Because if you try to leave me,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I swept for love, I'm gonna kill him heart. Oh
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: sorry did that come out? Sorry? Yeah? Let me let
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: me ask this, Cheryl, what have you done? What are
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: you gonna do in this relationship that that's kind of
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: different than your past relationship? Bir me and Junior will
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: be getting married on the show. People to see that,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I bet they'd be. They'd be exchanging more bets than
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: they do in a march madness. But here's what I'm
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: gonna do differently that I've never done before. First of all,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: we're gonna live in two separate locations because I believe
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Junior deserves his privacy. And a man cave on a room,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: it's not gonna be enough. But he's a cathedral of privacy.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: So I think that if we live separately and I
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: let him be the man in our relationship, and I
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: understand my place in the relationship, the role was it
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: for me? You was gonna be a little sick boy,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Steve that I was three roles available. Boy, I was
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: so nursing back to Hell. I was gonna feed him
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: little stuff and and rock him in a rocket and
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: shall and but listen, this, this is what I think
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Junior deserves in a woman, someone who respects him as
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: a man, someone who's sexually compative with bull with him,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: someone who has an affliction herself. So we'll be taking
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: our medication to get y'all both got affliction. Oh hell yeah.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: If you don't take love, you can't people. Yeah, that's
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: somebody got to be healthier, so they didn't take care
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: of He can't be both of y'all as me. But
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: nobody asked Junior. What he looking for? Asked Junior, I'm sorry,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: you're absolutely right. First of all, he's looking for a
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: home that's extremely close to a crisis center right across,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: right across from the grocery show. That's good enough. That's
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: you know, how to have urgent care centers right there? Junior?
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: What are you looking for in a good relationship? What
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: are you looking for? You had a couple of relations
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: what are you looking now? Not calling as much? That's
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: me right there. You ain't gonna hear from me. You
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: ain't gonna don't want you don't want a relationship with
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: stone communication. I'm sorry, guys, we have there because you
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: want to be the loan? Hey did I not say that? Tommy?
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: Did I left the loon? Thomas smiles. That's been ready
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: to love right here with a ready to love long
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: distance Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening? Show? All right?
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Come on Junior with sports talk. Hey, let's go what
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: you got listen? Have y'all heard about what happened? To
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: the Orlando Magic. Jonathan Isaac now Jonathan Jonathan is a
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: forward for the Orlando Magic and Sunday Nights game. He
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: was the only player that stood for the national anth
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: now while all his teammates knelt, he is the first
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: player to stand during the ant them since the NBA's return.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: So guess what happened to him? In the fourth quarter.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: He was driving to the hoop, going to the left
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: and his leg gave out on a jump stop in
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: the lane and he went down. He rolled off the
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: court in a wheelchair and has a torn acl Some
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: people think it's Calma. What y'all think? Well, why didn't
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: he kneel though? What's what's his reasoning for it? He
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: said he wasn't neel it. He ain't unbelieve in it.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: He didn't. He's sitting nine. He ain't kneeling. He ain't playing.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: But every and every NBA players, nearly except him. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: they don't know, but selp him. He's the only one
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: to stand. Yeah, it was sad. I feel bad. Well,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: I don't. I don't do the Calma thing when it
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: comes to injuries. Yeah like that. I mean, I don't
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: know why he would not kneel. It doesn't make any sense.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: That's why people are saying it was karma that he
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: had an accent. You know, I don't know why he
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: didn't kneel, But when when when one black person take off,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: don't all black people take off? General rule? Yeah? All right,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: coming up, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Show at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Okay, so our forever first Lady
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Michelle Obama revealed on her podcast that she's dealing with
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: a form of low grade depression, and she says it's
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: partly brought on by the current administration. Um that ain't
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: depressed you off, We can understand that I'm suffering from
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: an episode a hallow grade depression, Hi and low. Yeah,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I'm sick of his ass for real. The new episode
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: of the Michelle Obama Podcast aired yesterday and Missus Obama
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: talked about the nationwide civil unrest and Trump's responds to it.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: She said it's all bringing her down. Let's listen to
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: what she had to say, and spiritually, these are not
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: fulfilling time spiritually, so I know that I am dealing
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: with some form of low grade depression, not just because
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: of the quarantine, but because of the racial strife and
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: just seeing this administration, watching the hypocrisy of it day
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: in and day out, is dispiriting. You know, I don't
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: think I'm unusual in that, but I'd be remissed to
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: say that part of this depression is also a result
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: of what we're seeing in terms of the protests, the
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: continued racial unrest that has plagued this country since its birth.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I have to say that waking up to the news,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: waking up to how this administration has or has not responded,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: waking up to yet another story of a black man
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: or a black person somehow being dehumanized or hurt or
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: killed or falsely accused of something, it is exhausting. And
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: it has led to a weight that I haven't felt
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: in my life in a while. Wow, so true. I
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: think a lot of you know, when she said it's exhausting,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I think that's what a lot of us feel. It's
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: just it's tiring. And that's why I applaud the young
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: people out here who have not seen as much as
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: some older people and are dealing with it on everybody's behalf, because,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: like I said, I said it jokingly, but I really
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: mean it though. People come over, man, when Mary Luther
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: King was old, Mary Luther King was thirty eight years
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: old when he died. I mean no, no, no, no no.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: When he was killed, he was thirty eight years old,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: so he had been marching long before that. It really
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: is a young a young person's sport. The advantage we
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: have now is my generation has a lot of a
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: lot of experience with it and can share some of
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: the nuances of it. But these young lions out here,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: they're ruined the correct way, all right, coming up, it
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: is our last break of the day, This last break
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: of the day, that's right, and we have some voting
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: information for you, and Steve Harvey will give us his
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: closing remarks. That's all coming up at forty nine minutes after.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steven Show. Well, Tennessee,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the state of Tennessee. Today is your statewide primary election.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: We want you to get out and vote today. Please
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: if you have not registered and all of that, please
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: go to when we All Vote dot org. Come on Tennessee. Yes, Tennessee, Tennessee.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: We are still in a pandemic. People don't forget that
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: the US is reporting close to five million cases and
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: over one hundred and fifty seven thousand deaths. Please, when
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: you go out, were your mask practice social distancing? Wash
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: your hands please please please and vote those That's what
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: we had this year. What Timmy, I had that maskone
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: and climbed the flight of Stads. What hey, you know what, Timmy,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Now that you bringing it up, what they have to
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: do is with these masks is they're gonna have to
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: start customizing some of these masks. For example, if you're
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: if you're a heavy breather, right, we have some of
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: those on the show. Yeah, you need a mask that's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: not so thin, because I saw this dude Inhale and
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: he sucked so much cotton down his throat because that
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: mask was just he just sucked too much. They need
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: to sturdier mask. People like myself who have large lips,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: we need another kind of mask. Oh yeah, we need
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: a mask that accommodates that large lipped people. White people
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: who have noses that stick way out in front of
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: their mouth, they need a mask that's more contour to
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: the way they look. See my nose and I turned sideways.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: My nose and lips is even I have nothing to say.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I need a mask. We need a white folk mask.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: We need a big lip mask. You yes, and we
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: need to you know, like hem flavored mask, hem flavored
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: mask it. Then you need like a mask for real
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: skinny people too, because some of the masks be just
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: falling off of You need the real skinny people mask.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: And you know, does that mean just a tighter band
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: even the mask itself. I wanted to just go with
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: cotton stuff in my nose. I thought that was gonna help.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: But I have to cover my mouth too. I always
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: thinking of cotton in my nostrils and a tube sock
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: in my mouth. No, that's not gonna work. Hey, man,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: can I ask you a real question? Though? You ever
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: walked up the flying step with your mask coding? When
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: you get to the top of you ain't give a
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: damn who was up there. You just took it off.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: You don't care. You don't care. Hey, y'all, listen to
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: man on serious note. Uh. We are in the eighties
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: now with days left to this election eighty nine days,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: and you all this is serious. I'm actually asking you
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: as sincere as I can, to get real serious about
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: this election. We have to send a message to this
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: administration that we are no longer willing to tolerate this
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: type of behavior. I mean, I've had four years of
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: watching him tweet, listen to him insult people, listening to
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: him do thing after thing after thing that was unpresidential,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: watch him go after all all his causes have people
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: of color attached to him. I've watched him make false
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: statement after false statement after false statement. I've seen this
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: show enough. This is not funny, this is not fun
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: to watch. It's not entertaining. I mean, I've never watched
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: the news as how much as much as I have
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: over the last three years, because even when I come
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: in from work, I just go, man, what did he
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: do today? Well, I'm tired of the show. I'm tired
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: of what did he do today? And I'm tired of
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: acting like he doesn't shock me anymore, that this is
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: the new norm. No, man, it's not the norm. It's
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: not and we need a president in the office that
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: at least at least knows how to act presidential. Just
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: give me that, man. I'm tired of the reality star
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: at the head of this country making comment after comment.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I'm tired of him hardening his friends I've never seen
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: more people commit crimes than he letting off the hook
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: in my life. Man, ain't one of them people black,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: not a one. And if they were, would they get
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: pardoned at number two? Would they be his friends? And
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the answer to both of them is no, No. Man.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: I'm tired of this, man, I'm tired of the divisiveness. Y'all.
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: We got to do something about this. And in November,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: in eighty nine days, we have the opportunity to do
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: something about it. But we have got to vote. People.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: I am begging you, Uncle Steve is begging you. We
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: have got to vote. We have got to take what
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: these young people do and put some muscle behind it.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: We have got to show up at the polls. We
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: have got to register every college student. Everybody that's eighteen
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: should be registered. Everybody that's gonna be eighteen in the
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: next thirty forty sixty days you can register to vote.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: We have got to get busy. Man. I can't take
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: four more years of this guy. I can't. It's not
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: good for us. Man, He's gonna pass policy. If he
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: get in, it's gonna be utterly detrimental to us. You know,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: listening to Michelle Obama. She was talking about she's having
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: some type of low level depression because of the Trump administration.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: What's going on all of us are we have a
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: chance to do something about it when we all vote
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: dot org. When we all vote dot org, go today.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: If you're not registered, have somebody you know who's not registered,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: go and register today. It would tell you when you
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: can early vote, when you can mainly and vote, if
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: you can absentee vote. But what is going to tell
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: you to do is we have to vote. We can
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: push this Black Lives Matter movement across the finish line.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: If black people, people of color vote, we can change
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: the direction of this nation. If we all vote, we
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: all vote dot forward for all Steve Every contests No
