- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on now dig me want and only Steve Harvey,
- 2:12Speaker 1: God what radio show man? What you're doing with it?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Trying to do the very very best I can with it?
- 2:19Speaker 1: I really am. You know I get tired sometimes on
- 2:23Speaker 1: my journey. I'm not gonna kid you. UM. Trying to
- 2:28Speaker 1: make something about yourself is a task. UM. If you
- 2:34Speaker 1: want to attempt to do something and and and understand
- 2:38Speaker 1: going in that that. If the thing you're trying to
- 2:42Speaker 1: do is to improve yourself, to better your position, to
- 2:47Speaker 1: better your relationship, your family, anything, you're trying to be
- 2:52Speaker 1: a better you. You're trying to make more money, you're
- 2:57Speaker 1: trying to get it together, you're trying to change If
- 3:01Speaker 1: any of those things are in your hopes and dreams.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Know this right here, you are about to face some challenges.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But you might as well go ahead anyway and face
- 3:15Speaker 1: those challenges, because if you don't, you have a whole
- 3:19Speaker 1: other set of challenges to face. You know, it's a
- 3:22Speaker 1: it's a It's an amazing thing. Man, How people sit
- 3:26Speaker 1: around and they watch other people strike out to become successful.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And they sit in the stands watching these people play
- 3:33Speaker 1: out these games, and they and they and they criticize,
- 3:37Speaker 1: They boo, they laugh at their efforts and everything, and
- 3:41Speaker 1: they talk about the fairies. He missed that game when
- 3:43Speaker 1: it shot. Boy, he sucked. Man, he did this. He
- 3:46Speaker 1: ain't worth that. I hear people who sit in stands
- 3:52Speaker 1: who criticize people who are out there on the playing field. Now,
- 3:58Speaker 1: when you're on the plane, feel you have a set
- 4:02Speaker 1: of challenges in front of you. You're going to be
- 4:04Speaker 1: open to criticism. You're going to be open to ridicule.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You're going to be talked about when you don't know
- 4:12Speaker 1: the people who are talking about you. Now, here's the
- 4:19Speaker 1: upside to being the player on the field that's facing
- 4:23Speaker 1: all the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing the joke to
- 4:27Speaker 1: being talked about. He has something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
- 4:37Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
- 4:44Speaker 1: to win. And then the game of life. Just because
- 4:49Speaker 1: you lose one of the games, or you lose one
- 4:52Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
- 4:56Speaker 1: get put out. You keep playing. And when you're playing,
- 5:01Speaker 1: here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: but guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the points. You're gonna make
- 5:10Speaker 1: some of the dunks. You're gonna hit some of them
- 5:11Speaker 1: over the wall. You're gonna hit some of them out
- 5:13Speaker 1: the park. You're gonna score some goals. You will if
- 5:18Speaker 1: you're playing the game. Here's the problem with the people
- 5:23Speaker 1: who don't face the criticism, who nobody boos or cheers for,
- 5:28Speaker 1: who sits in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Those people, without realizing it, are facing a set of
- 5:41Speaker 1: challenges also. And the challenges they're facing is how I'm
- 5:46Speaker 1: gonna live with myself? What I'm gonna do? Now? What
- 5:53Speaker 1: direction am I going in? Where am I gonna live.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Wonder what job will hire me, Wonder if I can
- 6:05Speaker 1: get paid for criticizing? All woe is me. I can't
- 6:12Speaker 1: find the purpose in my life. And man, I'm just
- 6:17Speaker 1: waking up in a state of confusion. I don't know
- 6:19Speaker 1: what to do. Now, let me ask you something which
- 6:23Speaker 1: one of them said, of challenges you rather be faced with.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Because if I'm on the flow playing, if I'm on
- 6:29Speaker 1: the field playing, if I'm out on the court playing,
- 6:33Speaker 1: then guess what I got a chance at winning? But
- 6:37Speaker 1: guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing. I'm strategizing.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I'm waking up with a purpose. I'm waking up trying
- 6:44Speaker 1: to come up with another angle. I'm in pursuit of
- 6:49Speaker 1: a goal every single day. Versus the people in the
- 6:55Speaker 1: stands who know neither victory nor defeat. Get in the game.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife, better your children,
- 7:10Speaker 1: better your condition, better your employment status, better your job,
- 7:13Speaker 1: better your career. Take a shot. Come on, man, what
- 7:16Speaker 1: you're waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch other
- 7:21Speaker 1: people play the game? You know? And I just do
- 7:24Speaker 1: Sometimes Sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine,
- 7:29Speaker 1: or sometimes I still grab a copy of rob Report.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I just flipped through it just to see get I
- 7:36Speaker 1: used to get these this book called Unique Homes. Unique
- 7:40Speaker 1: Homes is a magazine that just has a lot of
- 7:43Speaker 1: extravagant houses that's on sale across the country, across the world.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I used to flip through. Man, let me just see, man,
- 7:50Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could very
- 7:58Speaker 1: easily be you if you make the decision. But when
- 8:01Speaker 1: you make the decision to become successful, get ready for
- 8:05Speaker 1: a series of challenges. I think it's more difficult not
- 8:09Speaker 1: to accept the challenge. I think it's for me. This
- 8:13Speaker 1: is just for me. It may not be the case
- 8:15Speaker 1: for you. For me, I think it's far more difficult
- 8:17Speaker 1: to wake up and just see how life gonna go today,
- 8:20Speaker 1: because man, it could just deal you any kind of
- 8:22Speaker 1: hand today. You understand, I don't like you know spades.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Let's let's talk a card game, folks, down the game
- 8:32Speaker 1: of spades. Really, man, it ain't a whole lot you
- 8:35Speaker 1: can do if you don't get no spades. Really, it's
- 8:38Speaker 1: a little couple of little strategies you've gotta do. But
- 8:41Speaker 1: you can have all this age, keen, queen, diamond all
- 8:43Speaker 1: you want, but man, you ain't got no spades. They're
- 8:45Speaker 1: cutting them. You're in trouble. Be it whist different game.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You can create what's in your hand. You got dealt
- 8:53Speaker 1: a hand too, But you can create a hand. You
- 8:56Speaker 1: can call a trump. You can make diamonds you're spades.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You can make hard to clubs your spades. That's what
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm saying. That's what it is. You can do something
- 9:04Speaker 1: with it. It's a different game, man, you can strategize.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I would rather have a say so in my life
- 9:10Speaker 1: than to wake up every day and just see how
- 9:12Speaker 1: it's going. I think it's more difficult to not accept
- 9:16Speaker 1: the challenge to be something than it is to accept
- 9:19Speaker 1: the challenge to be something. I think it's more difficult
- 9:22Speaker 1: to sit around and not be nothing. I think it's
- 9:24Speaker 1: harder to watch everybody's life going somewhere but mine. I
- 9:28Speaker 1: think it would be very difficult for me to sit
- 9:30Speaker 1: here and hear them talking about other people and never
- 9:33Speaker 1: mentioned my name. I would be difficult for me to
- 9:35Speaker 1: see everybody rise and getting promotions accept me. That would
- 9:39Speaker 1: be difficult for me. It may not be for you,
- 9:42Speaker 1: but for me, it would be quite challenging. I would
- 9:44Speaker 1: rather accept the challenge of making something out of my
- 9:47Speaker 1: life than to sit there and criticize those and then
- 9:51Speaker 1: watch and see how my life just may go. Okay,
- 9:55Speaker 1: just a thought. Today you're listening to ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: boys and girls, pets, animal trainers, members of Peter. I
- 10:13Speaker 1: have you undivided attention please. This is the Steve Harvey
- 10:17Speaker 1: Morning Show and I'm doing this show in alligator shoes.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Good morning Shirley, Good morning Steve, with your alligators shoes.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I'm calling Peter. You don't already talk to me about that,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and I'll explained to him alligators, So get away from
- 10:38Speaker 1: me with all that. And we've since been on speaking
- 10:43Speaker 1: terms calling for red okay, that logic okay? Or President
- 10:58Speaker 1: of Peter Jeff row his eyes and the few the
- 11:05Speaker 1: food yeahs are got the Mari's on Baby Mary's. That's
- 11:10Speaker 1: the first introduced me to you. Something Maris came out.
- 11:15Speaker 1: You couldn't tell me when I got my first pair
- 11:18Speaker 1: of Maris. I know exactly when it was, man. It
- 11:20Speaker 1: was about I was on showtime about nineteen ninety one
- 11:25Speaker 1: two when I got my first pair of Maris might
- 11:28Speaker 1: have been ninety three. That's a brand. Uh huh, the
- 11:36Speaker 1: hood version of the most the greatest shoe you could
- 11:41Speaker 1: have put on your foot. You couldn't be. You couldn't
- 11:44Speaker 1: beat it, Mary, Mary man like the fact you are
- 11:55Speaker 1: up to see the slickers and I couldn't afford one pair.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Detroit was in Detroit, hey, Tommy. In Houston, y'all had
- 12:06Speaker 1: a place that call the Shops Town Mall. Ye yes, boy,
- 12:11Speaker 1: y'all had a store in there. I can't remember the
- 12:13Speaker 1: store star with the g I think Georgie Boy, Georgio boy.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I would have been George Olds boy. And you know
- 12:22Speaker 1: I had money then, Boy, you couldn't talk, Tommy. I
- 12:26Speaker 1: was in there with Jaranathany Brown one day. Jay said,
- 12:29Speaker 1: look at his ass all up in the wall. I was.
- 12:33Speaker 1: They had all the money, dog dog, They had all
- 12:36Speaker 1: the gators on the wall. Jay said, look at his
- 12:39Speaker 1: ass all up in that wall, six six six pound.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Because they had every color, Junior, every color I wore
- 12:51Speaker 1: one night at the Arena Theater in Houston, I wore
- 12:55Speaker 1: a pink suit with white pinstripes. This show I found
- 13:01Speaker 1: some pink gators. Boy many boy, sure that was at
- 13:10Speaker 1: this show came down and whole walkway, and I was like, oh,
- 13:14Speaker 1: hell no, yeah, you gotta come down that hour. You're
- 13:18Speaker 1: coming down between everybody. Dog, I had a smoke machine. Yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 1: Steve this story cheese all right? Telling him a thirty
- 13:32Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, We're gonna find out part
- 13:35Speaker 1: two of Steve's pink gator story right after this. You're
- 13:40Speaker 1: listening show, all right, Steve said, when we left for break,
- 13:45Speaker 1: you were telling us about when town. Yeah, Georgios all gators.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I bought a pair of oh burgundy mockstrap gators out
- 13:59Speaker 1: of there. I bought all pink out of them. I
- 14:03Speaker 1: bought a two tone brown and gold out of them.
- 14:08Speaker 1: They had some black and white spectators. That was gay.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Us baltim out of there and then walked out of
- 14:16Speaker 1: there with U or olive green, but with like a
- 14:25Speaker 1: mall green boy in a suit to go with every
- 14:30Speaker 1: one of them. I used to get emotional going down.
- 14:35Speaker 1: How did you feel I should give my nails? And
- 14:40Speaker 1: you know, I just beat down there at that mall
- 14:41Speaker 1: and it was just good man. You don't know, those
- 14:50Speaker 1: are something some of the times I had in Houston. Girl, stop,
- 14:58Speaker 1: you couldn't tell him nothing here, just got that money, Charley.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You couldn't that him now, I was, man, I have
- 15:05Speaker 1: had that showed me and the boys, and then the
- 15:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show had just started. Dog ahead money you
- 15:15Speaker 1: couldn't talk to me gas. The gators range from seven
- 15:21Speaker 1: fifteen on up to about fourteen hundred. Fourteen hundred was
- 15:24Speaker 1: the limit that was. I had to rethank myself if
- 15:27Speaker 1: I went to high. But but you could go down
- 15:30Speaker 1: to that sales rack and they got him for two
- 15:33Speaker 1: something right over time, right, I never go out. I
- 15:41Speaker 1: ain't want that. There was there was last year's mom
- 15:45Speaker 1: and what makes it look at color wouldn't make you man?
- 15:47Speaker 1: And you find one you like that fits you, and
- 15:49Speaker 1: then you can it's a left shoe and you're looking
- 15:51Speaker 1: for the right there ain't ain't nowhere on the damn
- 15:53Speaker 1: where the right shop at? I'm like, man, where did
- 15:58Speaker 1: you get the powder puff pink suit that when you
- 16:01Speaker 1: got Georgios Jojia, I hadn't made dog jock. I've been
- 16:12Speaker 1: wearing tailored suits since Barbara Bates in Chica Girl. Right there, dog,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I could get a Barbara Bates suit for eight hundred
- 16:24Speaker 1: cross patterns, everything, everything, Oh dog, I was buying. And
- 16:29Speaker 1: then my first she gave me a break because I
- 16:31Speaker 1: wasn't doing good. So my first I could buy some
- 16:35Speaker 1: for fourth fifty five hundred, but I had to select
- 16:38Speaker 1: from certain fabrics. What none of my fabrics I picked authentic,
- 16:46Speaker 1: ain't th super one hun super one hundred woolf All
- 16:50Speaker 1: my suits was blended, but they were so fly and
- 16:53Speaker 1: and and Barbara Baates knew how to mix patterns like
- 16:56Speaker 1: I wear how I wear glen plaid smart coat, but
- 17:00Speaker 1: I have hounds tooth pants with the coordinating Gators boys
- 17:06Speaker 1: shut up shirt and tie? So, Steve, what made you
- 17:11Speaker 1: love fashion like this? My MoMA cheese, your mom mama,
- 17:15Speaker 1: My mom's Sundays gonna teach you where to go church
- 17:17Speaker 1: a lot. And when you could not on Sunday, sho
- 17:19Speaker 1: had to wear a shirt and tie. So I've been
- 17:21Speaker 1: dressing my whole life. I've never I've never thought like
- 17:24Speaker 1: people talking about man, you ever want to loosen up? Dog?
- 17:27Speaker 1: I feel my absolute best when I'm suiting. Always. I
- 17:32Speaker 1: was extremely comfortable in the shirt and time. Man, why
- 17:35Speaker 1: don't you take your towel? Why don't you put one on? Hey?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Are you over here? For I'm flying you ain't sure, Shirley, Shirley,
- 17:44Speaker 1: When I was on the radio, did I not in
- 17:47Speaker 1: the year two thousand to two thousand and five? Did
- 17:49Speaker 1: I not wear a suit almost every single every day
- 17:53Speaker 1: and every day suit and hat junior to do radio
- 17:58Speaker 1: at four in the morning, six in the morning, every
- 18:01Speaker 1: damn three with cold Natan gators, not cordin. And that's
- 18:07Speaker 1: when square toes were out. He had square tes and
- 18:10Speaker 1: every color, every color. Oh man, But you know what
- 18:15Speaker 1: area theaters so so special, though, Shirley and Houston. When
- 18:18Speaker 1: Steve mentioned that the stage would go and circle got
- 18:25Speaker 1: work in the whole room, I hadn't between because everybody
- 18:28Speaker 1: was looking at your front, end, back, yeah, all around.
- 18:33Speaker 1: But I tell you, man, you be exhausted when you
- 18:35Speaker 1: played arena theater because you gotta work both sides of
- 18:37Speaker 1: the room. And you ain't you know, I'm trying to
- 18:40Speaker 1: let everybody see my face while I'm telling the joke,
- 18:42Speaker 1: because my facials were such a big part of it.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I learned how to work that room good as anybody. Boy. Man,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I had some great nights in there. Boy. Then I
- 18:50Speaker 1: used to get my nails done and yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 18:57Speaker 1: you know what, you never see still amaze me to
- 18:59Speaker 1: go you never see still? Hey, I know here's a
- 19:07Speaker 1: true story. I know who you and you can ask
- 19:13Speaker 1: her because we just talked about last year. I first
- 19:16Speaker 1: met Beyond Beyonce. I don't remember this because she was fourteen.
- 19:22Speaker 1: She destined child. Her father Matthew, used to bring unto
- 19:24Speaker 1: the hip hop comedy stop they used to perform. But
- 19:27Speaker 1: I met I was at spelled behind this comedy club
- 19:30Speaker 1: in Houston. I wanted to get my nails done. I
- 19:33Speaker 1: went up stairs and this incredibly beautiful woman did nails.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Her name was Tina knows I knew she was out
- 19:43Speaker 1: in my lead because I didn't have no damn money.
- 19:47Speaker 1: So you was wearing all your money. No no, no, no no,
- 19:54Speaker 1: no no no. This was before Georgios. No, this was
- 19:59Speaker 1: before the t the show. I was doing clubs. I
- 20:02Speaker 1: went to a club called spell bind Us. I wasn't famous.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I wasn't only Apollo or none of that. I was
- 20:08Speaker 1: not famous at all. And I met Tina Knowles had
- 20:12Speaker 1: a nail salon Hassel I guess upstairs, and she had
- 20:15Speaker 1: somebody to do money. And I went up there three
- 20:17Speaker 1: times just to look at her. Beautiful but I but
- 20:23Speaker 1: but I could not say nothing because clearly I knew
- 20:28Speaker 1: this woman was out my damn league because I didn't
- 20:32Speaker 1: have no damn mother and she owned the salon. What
- 20:37Speaker 1: am I talking to? Other? And Tina Knowles told me,
- 20:46Speaker 1: she said, Steve, that's why I first met you. She
- 20:48Speaker 1: remembered when she was coming to my salon, get your
- 20:50Speaker 1: nails done? Did you tell her why? All? Right? Coming
- 20:53Speaker 1: up next news in the building with run that Frank back.
- 20:57Speaker 1: We'll get into it right after this You're listening show
- 21:03Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anna
- 21:05Speaker 1: is standing by with today's national news and then other
- 21:09Speaker 1: weird trending news. Peter. We mentioned Peter earlier in the show. Well,
- 21:13Speaker 1: Peter wants to ban the word pet because it's offensive
- 21:17Speaker 1: to animals. Okay, okay, they heard what. They want to
- 21:25Speaker 1: get rid of the word pet because it's offensive to animals. Okay, well,
- 21:29Speaker 1: what is we gonna call? But they know this, Now,
- 21:33Speaker 1: get your dog ass out of here, You get your
- 21:37Speaker 1: dog ass? Whoop? All these stories gonna have to close.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Pitch shot, pitchp got to change their name. Okay, animal
- 21:48Speaker 1: gonna be just small, it's gonna be dumb. Okay, we're
- 21:57Speaker 1: gonna talk more about all of these stories the top
- 22:00Speaker 1: of the hour. Right now, the nephew is here with
- 22:03Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for us? Now
- 22:05Speaker 1: we're gonna run it back, Charley. You know what happens
- 22:07Speaker 1: sometimes sometimes you got to you know, you got to
- 22:09Speaker 1: buy your own Valentine. You know it happens. You gotta
- 22:13Speaker 1: buy your own Valentine. It happened. Hey, hey, live with it, lady,
- 22:18Speaker 1: live with it. Buy your own Valentine. Let's go catch Hello. Hello,
- 22:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach this chanie. Please, this is all right.
- 22:26Speaker 1: This is Floyd. I'm calling from our International Flowers. Are
- 22:32Speaker 1: you listen? I'm good, I'm good. We have you on
- 22:36Speaker 1: schedule to get a delivery. You work at a yes, okay,
- 22:43Speaker 1: So we have you schedule at eleven o'clock to receive
- 22:47Speaker 1: some some flowers. I'm assuming this is about there's some swede. Okay. Now,
- 22:55Speaker 1: now here's the issue. Your husband's kitty, correct, Yes, that's
- 23:00Speaker 1: my husband. Okay. So Kennedy who purchased this is three
- 23:03Speaker 1: dozen of assorted roses, and so he got one of
- 23:08Speaker 1: our biggest layouts that we have. Well you have okay.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Now the only little issue that we have Shenise, is
- 23:16Speaker 1: that the card that Kennedy gave us has been declined?
- 23:21Speaker 1: And uh, yeah, his card has been declined. Now, what
- 23:25Speaker 1: I did is I didn't want to lose the delivery
- 23:28Speaker 1: time because you wouldn't have kind of not done what
- 23:30Speaker 1: I did, and you know you wouldn't have got your
- 23:32Speaker 1: flowers till Monday. So okay, I think you missed, Denise.
- 23:36Speaker 1: You have you have you ordered flowers from us in
- 23:39Speaker 1: the past, right? Yeah? Yes, I ordered flowers from the
- 23:42Speaker 1: sides all the time. So what's the problem. So, so,
- 23:45Speaker 1: so let me tell you what I did. You already
- 23:47Speaker 1: had a card on filey, so I went I charged
- 23:52Speaker 1: that card, so you I charged. I charged your card
- 23:58Speaker 1: so that way you could keep the delivery car. But
- 24:01Speaker 1: didn't my husband make this order? I'm sorry, sir, didn't
- 24:04Speaker 1: my husband make his orders? You need to be calling
- 24:09Speaker 1: Kennedy then, right? If his car was declined and he
- 24:12Speaker 1: was ordering me some flowers, well, well say, I tried
- 24:16Speaker 1: to reach out to mister Kennedy, but he didn't pick
- 24:17Speaker 1: up the phone. So what I'm saying is okay, so
- 24:20Speaker 1: you can try him again. That's okay, you can try
- 24:22Speaker 1: him again. He's the one who you need to speak
- 24:25Speaker 1: to about the car being declined. Don't use my card,

- 24:31Speaker 1: gave you permission to use my card? You should be
- 24:34Speaker 1: calling it asking me if you can use my card.
- 24:37Speaker 1: You don't just charge my car for my own flowers, sir,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I mean it's the thought that comes. I don't give
- 24:43Speaker 1: a damn about the thought if I'm paying the damn
- 24:46Speaker 1: to see his car was declined, not NIS's card, so
- 24:50Speaker 1: you need to speak to him. Okay, mister Nie, why
- 24:52Speaker 1: do I need to call Kennedy? But I had already

- 25:31Speaker 1: be Floyd Mayweather for all I can't care. You're not
- 25:33Speaker 1: about to charge my car for no amount of money
- 25:36Speaker 1: that has already been charged. Man, my card about to
- 25:39Speaker 1: not be charged. You better call my husband to fix that.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm not about to buy no flowers from myself. And
- 25:45Speaker 1: you know what, let me tell you something. Quite frankly,
- 25:47Speaker 1: I don't even know why he bought you no flowers anyway,
- 25:49Speaker 1: with this kind of attitude with you guys. Oh my god,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I know you're not about you know when where you at,

- 26:26Speaker 1: you're trying to get my money and you ain't about
- 26:29Speaker 1: to do it, you, sir, you are not. You keep
- 26:32Speaker 1: saying ain't about to do it. You already been charged
- 26:35Speaker 1: three hundred and some dollars for the flowers. But why
- 26:37Speaker 1: are you hundred dollars? What kind of flowers cost three

- 28:53Speaker 1: thinking Aphew coming up at the top of the hour,
- 28:56Speaker 1: Entertainment and National News right after this, you're listening show
- 29:04Speaker 1: our forever first Lady. I love calling her that, Michelle
- 29:07Speaker 1: Obama because she will always be our forever first Lady. Well.
- 29:10Speaker 1: She opened up about her and former President Barack Obama's
- 29:13Speaker 1: life after the White House and their lives as empty
- 29:16Speaker 1: nesters with Oprah and her audience on Oprah's twenty twenty
- 29:20Speaker 1: vision Your Life in Focus Brooklyn tour stop Oprah is
- 29:25Speaker 1: on tour, she asked a former First Lady how hard
- 29:28Speaker 1: it is to stick with her catchphrase when they go low,
- 29:31Speaker 1: we go high with after all of Washington's political drama
- 29:36Speaker 1: these days. The former First Lady went on to say,
- 29:38Speaker 1: for me, what I learned from my husband, what I
- 29:42Speaker 1: learned from eight years in the White House, This life,
- 29:46Speaker 1: this world, our responsibility in it is so much bigger
- 29:50Speaker 1: than us. What I want to go low. It's all
- 29:53Speaker 1: about my own ego. It's not about solving anything. It's
- 29:57Speaker 1: not about fixing anything. It's about seeking revenge on the
- 30:01Speaker 1: thing that happened to you. Got it. Yeah that makes sense.
- 30:07Speaker 1: That's so true. Yeah, it makes sense. So she's still
- 30:10Speaker 1: going high even though all the lowness that's going on
- 30:15Speaker 1: right now. You know, I go high with nine and
- 30:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna drop low some fandom I'm gonna drop she
- 30:21Speaker 1: said low. Yeah, it has to do with your ego,
- 30:26Speaker 1: That's what she's saying, honestly. So, um, do you go
- 30:28Speaker 1: high all the time? You don't go low? I meet
- 30:33Speaker 1: your ass right wherever you add. It might be high,
- 30:37Speaker 1: it might be lower. Yeah, Now do I always regret it? Yep? Yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 1: that's what she's saying. Yeah, I always regret it after
- 30:49Speaker 1: so yeah, yeah, it's really hard, Um a lot of
- 30:54Speaker 1: times to go high. But you know, you gotta respect
- 30:58Speaker 1: the people. Now. Now, sometimes I don't want to go high.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I just don't want to. That's human
- 31:07Speaker 1: and I regret that too. But at some moments, though,
- 31:12Speaker 1: I feel like some people needs me right down there
- 31:16Speaker 1: where they are. Yes, so I can let the ass
- 31:19Speaker 1: get it back. Because sometimes I don't go high for
- 31:23Speaker 1: teaching moments, and I think, yeah, I think that we
- 31:28Speaker 1: need to have this teaching moment right now. I ain't.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I ain't gonna let you figure out what happened later on.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I've been to teach your ass a lesson. Right now
- 31:37Speaker 1: you go low, I go lower. What we're talking about? Yeah, see,
- 31:45Speaker 1: now you don't come over here with the next time
- 31:47Speaker 1: you want to go low, you got to rethink coming
- 31:50Speaker 1: over here. Okay, yeah, you change it up. Teach them
- 31:55Speaker 1: lesson in a sense, come exactly why I do it?
- 31:58Speaker 1: Should yeah? Yeah? See you not every time you weren't
- 32:02Speaker 1: gonna do something low, steve not fit to be it.
- 32:06Speaker 1: But I also other scripture too, though what what do
- 32:11Speaker 1: unto others as you would have them do unto you?
- 32:14Speaker 1: So you must have wanted you know what? That makes sense?
- 32:19Speaker 1: It just did to me. This is what you want it?
- 32:23Speaker 1: Just did you say it? Come to most steps? All right,
- 32:29Speaker 1: we're gonna switch gears here and other Just strange entertainment news.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Peter says the term pet pet is derogatory, and the
- 32:38Speaker 1: word companion, so there's your replacement. Word Tommy is a
- 32:42Speaker 1: more appropriate term. A representative from Peter stated a lot
- 32:46Speaker 1: of people who have dogs or cats will call them
- 32:49Speaker 1: pets and refer to themselves as owners, and this implies
- 32:52Speaker 1: that the animals are a possession. Like a car, they
- 32:54Speaker 1: are a possession. And Peter is stupid. You damn like
- 32:58Speaker 1: I own you. Yeah, don't work, I'm feeding you. You
- 33:02Speaker 1: ain't paid now one of these vet bills. I own
- 33:05Speaker 1: your ass. I am matched. That's what this is. Man.
- 33:09Speaker 1: I'm so sick of these people. And the animals are
- 33:12Speaker 1: not complaining. All right, let's get the same the same percass.
- 33:16Speaker 1: People have slaves now. They won't talk about it, ain't
- 33:19Speaker 1: write their own no, damn buddy, man, y'all miss me
- 33:21Speaker 1: with this year, all right? Come to catch up on
- 33:24Speaker 1: today's headlines, we go trip. Oh boys, he was on it, boy,
- 33:29Speaker 1: this is a trip with the news, all right. Starting
- 33:32Speaker 1: out with the bad news. The official death toll from
- 33:34Speaker 1: coronavirus in China has topped one thousand. That's right, with
- 33:37Speaker 1: forty two thousand people infected and under treatment. They are
- 33:41Speaker 1: thirteen confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States. Today's in
- 33:45Speaker 1: New Hampshire Primary. While the Poles seemed to suggest that
- 33:48Speaker 1: the top two contenders are still Pete Booty Jadge and
- 33:51Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Amy Klobcher, Tom Styr and Andrew
- 33:54Speaker 1: Yang all hoping to make impressive surgeries in a surprise.
- 33:57Speaker 1: By the way, the first place to vote in the
- 33:59Speaker 1: Granite Date is a place called Dick phil Notch, and
- 34:02Speaker 1: three of the five votes cast there were from Michael Bloomberg.
- 34:06Speaker 1: He's not even on the ballot. Also, Amy Klobch just
- 34:08Speaker 1: seems to be doing well as well. The Iowa Democratic
- 34:11Speaker 1: Party has received requests mean while from Buddhajag and Sanders
- 34:14Speaker 1: campaigns to recanvas the results of last week's caucus over there,
- 34:18Speaker 1: it's obvious that the whole at Mishap mess is still
- 34:20Speaker 1: rather embarrassing. The Iowa Democratic Party Chair Troy Price, it's
- 34:24Speaker 1: safe to say this was not the caucus that the
- 34:26Speaker 1: hundreds of thousands of Iowa Democrats to serve. The parties
- 34:29Speaker 1: are viewing the request and decide by tomorrow if a
- 34:31Speaker 1: recanvass is necessary. The Trump White House announcing a four
- 34:36Speaker 1: point a trillion dollar budget plan that's trillion with a
- 34:39Speaker 1: T that the President claims would bring the federal deficit
- 34:42Speaker 1: close to zero, and at a gathering of some thirty
- 34:45Speaker 1: Republican governors yesterday, Trump insisted that some of the most
- 34:48Speaker 1: critical programs will not be touched. We're not touching Medicare.
- 34:51Speaker 1: We want to keep Medicare. We're not touching social Security.
- 34:55Speaker 1: We're making our country stronger again. We're not decreasing Medicaide. However,
- 35:01Speaker 1: the Wall Street Journal reports that Trump's budget actually includes
- 35:04Speaker 1: steep cuts in social safety net programs like Medicare, Medicaid,
- 35:09Speaker 1: and Social Security, while he ups funds for the military.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Looks like the head of SEAPACK or the Conservative Political
- 35:16Speaker 1: Action Conferences, suggesting that some members of his organization might
- 35:20Speaker 1: be violent people. In the wake of Republican Senator Mit
- 35:23Speaker 1: Romney's breaking rank and voting to convict Donald Trump on
- 35:26Speaker 1: one of the impeachment articles lodged against him, Seepack's match
- 35:30Speaker 1: Schlap said Sunday that he would be afraid for Senator
- 35:33Speaker 1: Romney's physical safety at the major right wing gathering later
- 35:38Speaker 1: this month. That statement alarms some of Romney's defenders, leaving
- 35:41Speaker 1: across the line between outrage and actual threat. The numbers
- 35:44Speaker 1: in for the oscars, and they're not good, Holly. Many
- 35:47Speaker 1: people watch the oscars, but a whole lot of people didn't.
- 35:50Speaker 1: And finally, today's don't cry over spilt milk Day. You're
- 35:53Speaker 1: listening to the show, all right, You guys are still
- 35:58Speaker 1: on this peta story about uh not calling animals pets
- 36:02Speaker 1: anymore because they think it's a didn't do that? People
- 36:06Speaker 1: get on my damn man companions. Companions surely does the
- 36:12Speaker 1: dog coming in the house saying I'm upset he still
- 36:15Speaker 1: called pit. I mean, how do they know? How the
- 36:22Speaker 1: when did Peter start translating animals? Feel it? If I
- 36:29Speaker 1: bought you and your ass was in a cage, when
- 36:33Speaker 1: I bout you, or rescued you, whatever, and you don't work,
- 36:39Speaker 1: and I feed you, take your ass to thevent, I
- 36:43Speaker 1: watch you, and I pile of trained you and clean
- 36:47Speaker 1: up behind you. I gave you your name and a
- 36:52Speaker 1: whole I owned you. My daddy owned me. I can't
- 36:58Speaker 1: own no damn dog. I refuse to eat if you
- 37:02Speaker 1: go keep calling me your pitt, and I'll tell you
- 37:04Speaker 1: what well, I'm an oldness gate and you just go
- 37:07Speaker 1: take your ass after Peter, says Steve. When you refer
- 37:11Speaker 1: to animals not as the living beings they are, but
- 37:14Speaker 1: as an inanimate object, it can reflect our treatment on
- 37:18Speaker 1: these animals. Peter is stupid it ye, no, for real,
- 37:24Speaker 1: for real, Peter is stupid and they need to stop
- 37:27Speaker 1: this shit. These the same people who would take red
- 37:31Speaker 1: paint and flower and throw it on another human being
- 37:35Speaker 1: because they don't believe what they believe? What is wrong
- 37:38Speaker 1: with them? Who made them judge and jury? I'm not
- 37:43Speaker 1: we're not I'm I'm against Peter. I'm not calling them
- 37:47Speaker 1: damn companions them miss pets. Ye, human beings who are
- 37:53Speaker 1: in relationships and they're not married. A lot of times
- 37:56Speaker 1: they call that other person their companion. And you know
- 38:01Speaker 1: why you are a pet, because that's pet. All you
- 38:05Speaker 1: do is peeat and train. That's why the is a
- 38:09Speaker 1: pit what you want to be. So if you say
- 38:13Speaker 1: your pet is a companion, how do you know now,
- 38:16Speaker 1: according to pete, if they're your human companion or your
- 38:19Speaker 1: animal companion? So what's next? They're gonna get the dogs,
- 38:23Speaker 1: gonna get the vote. What's next they're gonna be able
- 38:25Speaker 1: to vote? Next, they're about to start driving. That wouldn't
- 38:30Speaker 1: sound like I just wish they could talk so that
- 38:32Speaker 1: we could really know that they do not care if
- 38:35Speaker 1: we call him he is a pet. He licks himself
- 38:38Speaker 1: in front of people looking. We want to call that
- 38:44Speaker 1: a companion. We gotta move on here in front of
- 38:50Speaker 1: these people. Valentine Today is Friday? Okay, guys, and we'll
- 38:54Speaker 1: find out when we come back what makes a perfect
- 38:58Speaker 1: daint Right after this, you're show well, guys, and Steve
- 39:05Speaker 1: in particular, because you forgot Valentine's Day is this Friday. Uh.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Dating is rarely easy. We know that, and when you've
- 39:14Speaker 1: been doing it a long time, it's hard to constantly
- 39:17Speaker 1: come up with fun and exciting things to do. So
- 39:20Speaker 1: if you're looking for ideas, a new survey says that
- 39:23Speaker 1: forty five percent of people want to explore something new
- 39:27Speaker 1: or go somewhere different on a date. So here are
- 39:30Speaker 1: some different top date ideas. They include going to the zoo,
- 39:36Speaker 1: a modern cultural Peter Gold to see some companion might
- 39:47Speaker 1: be going to a modern cultural attraction like the Empire
- 39:54Speaker 1: State Building in New York, a historical attraction, an amusement park,
- 39:58Speaker 1: a boat ride. What's too hot? Oh, I thought you
- 40:04Speaker 1: meant money wise, it's not up there, yes, uh, sky
- 40:13Speaker 1: deck and what about the amusement park on the sexiest
- 40:18Speaker 1: night of the year, were on a roller coaster it's
- 40:23Speaker 1: too cold anyway, boat ride, aquarium both in February. Yeah, aquarium.
- 40:30Speaker 1: How about the aquarium that's worse than the zoo? Is
- 40:34Speaker 1: that sexy? Is that? Why is it worse? Because it's
- 40:38Speaker 1: campaigns swimming all over the place. It's companions watched this
- 40:43Speaker 1: school of fish watching a bunch of fish swim by.
- 40:47Speaker 1: It ain't studying you. How about an art museum or aum,
- 40:55Speaker 1: something like that music museum. So Steve, you always have
- 40:59Speaker 1: great ideas. Is yeah, I like that in art museum?
- 41:04Speaker 1: How about a hotel room and a spa treatment And
- 41:07Speaker 1: let's get on to what we're talking about doing what
- 41:10Speaker 1: it was all an art for? They got art in
- 41:12Speaker 1: the room, don't Yeah, what knots? All? You see that?
- 41:19Speaker 1: Why we getting naked? We see all that? I know
- 41:23Speaker 1: you don't hear? What knots? In a while? Whatnot? Stupid word?
- 41:30Speaker 1: Two words? Okay? So Steve, you always come up with
- 41:32Speaker 1: great dates, especially first dates. What do you have for
- 41:35Speaker 1: this Valentine's Day? It's Friday? So oh, he and he
- 41:39Speaker 1: know how to date on whatever kind of money you
- 41:41Speaker 1: gotta get. Okay, Yeah, that's telling me, get me the
- 41:43Speaker 1: budget for it. First three Valentine's day. All right, here's
- 41:54Speaker 1: what you do. If you're in a warm climate. You
- 41:58Speaker 1: take your girl to basketball, Robbins or ice cream plays.
- 42:02Speaker 1: You make her stand at the door or leave in
- 42:06Speaker 1: the car. That could be even better. Hold on, I
- 42:09Speaker 1: got something for you. Go inside. Get her favorite ice cream,
- 42:13Speaker 1: whatever it is I want you to take. Get you
- 42:20Speaker 1: you know them sprinkles, but just get red sprinkles. You
- 42:25Speaker 1: know the sprinkles they go on ice sprinkles. Take the
- 42:34Speaker 1: ice cream back to the car. Make sure you have
- 42:37Speaker 1: one scoop of vanilla in there. Don't nobody not like vanilla.
- 42:41Speaker 1: So whatever her favorite is getting in there, but make it.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Have a cup ice cream. Hand her her cup. Say
- 42:47Speaker 1: hold on one second, take the sprinkles out and shake
- 42:51Speaker 1: them all over her ice cream only, and then look
- 42:56Speaker 1: at her and tell her these wrinkles represent what my
- 43:01Speaker 1: heart would look like if you were not in my life. Oh,
- 43:11Speaker 1: I'm clutching minute, I'm clutching my chairs. That was junior.
- 43:14Speaker 1: You ain't spit ten dollars. That wasn't even ten dollars.
- 43:18Speaker 1: You ain't spit budget of three hundred. Okay, we're gonna
- 43:22Speaker 1: get the room, though. We gotta get their room. Tommy
- 43:27Speaker 1: we got ice cream. Now we're pretty get to this room. No,
- 43:31Speaker 1: we've been a sprinkle something else around here. Now that's
- 43:35Speaker 1: one move. So throughout the day I will be dropping
- 43:38Speaker 1: jewels on dudes. Things you can do, you should do it.

- 44:49Speaker 1: actually have a delivery, uh, edible fruit delivery for Chad,
- 44:53Speaker 1: and I'm trying to make sure I got the address
- 44:55Speaker 1: and everything correct. Oh um, well who's it from? I
- 44:59Speaker 1: think it's from you. Um, your name is? What's your
- 45:02Speaker 1: name is? Devina? I didn't order any any edible arrangements. Okay,
- 45:07Speaker 1: there's that definitely must be a mistake. Are you sure
- 45:12Speaker 1: I was in Chad ordered some edible arrangements for me.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I think that that might make some sense. It's for
- 45:18Speaker 1: a chance. Okay, hear this? Who's who who sent this?
- 45:22Speaker 1: Miss the reader? The reader? Oh oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 45:28Speaker 1: that's not me at all. I'm Devina and that isn't
- 45:32Speaker 1: zing your name why she would send anything, right, I'm Chad,
- 45:37Speaker 1: but the name, that's a totally different persons. Okay, so
- 45:40Speaker 1: do you know the reader Clark? Who is there? Oh?
- 45:43Speaker 1: That's not someone I associate where personally. That's Chad's ex
- 45:47Speaker 1: wife and that doesn't make any sense for her to
- 45:49Speaker 1: be sending us to anything. So you don't you don't
- 45:52Speaker 1: even have to. I don't think she said us. She
- 45:56Speaker 1: didn't send it. She said this the chance, she didn't
- 45:58Speaker 1: send it to you. Okay, Well, I'm just gonna let
- 46:00Speaker 1: you know we don't need that delivery, So thank you. Anyway,
- 46:03Speaker 1: you can go ahead and um, and you can keep
- 46:05Speaker 1: that hold on, hold on, miss um, don't make su'all
- 46:09Speaker 1: say right name, don't worry, don't don't don't worry too
- 46:13Speaker 1: much about that. If I don't make my deliveries, I
- 46:16Speaker 1: don't get paid. I have to deliver these of this
- 46:18Speaker 1: edible fruit. Man, I doesn't make any sense. So now
- 46:21Speaker 1: I'll just discard it myself if you if you need
- 46:24Speaker 1: to bring it. But I'm sure I have to bring it.
- 46:26Speaker 1: But let me ask you something. I mean this, lady.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not trying to pry into anything, but
- 46:32Speaker 1: I mean, have you Have you bought him anything for
- 46:34Speaker 1: batt No? I haven't, but I have plenty of time.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But about something that don't make sense to me? Why
- 46:42Speaker 1: Why haven't you bought anything? All right? I don't think
- 46:44Speaker 1: you need to worry about what I get from my
- 46:46Speaker 1: man or what I don't get from my husband. All right,
- 46:48Speaker 1: that's none of your concerns. Were concerned about making sure
- 46:53Speaker 1: he gets something. I'm sorry. Who am I speaking to?
- 46:56Speaker 1: My name is Perkins, okay, and I already told you
- 46:59Speaker 1: we don't need delivery. I don't need you ask me
- 47:02Speaker 1: questions about what I told you my marriage. All right,
- 47:06Speaker 1: well I'm tired. I'm not gonna fight to fight with
- 47:08Speaker 1: you on phone. Well I'm gonna be two fools here argument.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I'm all true. We don't need anything white. No, women,
- 47:16Speaker 1: you don't need to be questioning me about what I
- 47:17Speaker 1: do or don't do for my husband. That's absolutely none
- 47:20Speaker 1: of your god business. I need to know when mister
- 47:22Speaker 1: Chad is gonna be there, so mister Chad might want.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Don't worry so much about Chad. This is our family business,
- 47:28Speaker 1: family business. I'm his wife. Do you understand what that means?
- 47:31Speaker 1: I'm his wife. I understand it. Whatever, then his ex
- 47:33Speaker 1: wife want him to have his fruit and if you
- 47:37Speaker 1: want pissed me on Chad, and I'm not gonna I'm
- 47:40Speaker 1: not being to come delivering nothing to you and you're
- 47:42Speaker 1: gonna throw it away. This is Chad's fruit basket. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: she did she send you? Did you real to send you? Specifically?
- 47:49Speaker 1: I just want to understand what the hell is going
- 47:52Speaker 1: on because you seem really invested in in in my
- 47:55Speaker 1: husband's ex wife. I don't even understand why, but it's
- 47:57Speaker 1: gonna piss me off. So I want some answers, and
- 47:59Speaker 1: you use right word. You're not invested in Chad. Why
- 48:03Speaker 1: haven't you bought anything for Chad? Perk Perkins. I'm gonna
- 48:07Speaker 1: need to speak to your guy and manager because I'm
- 48:09Speaker 1: getting real upset right now and you don't want no
- 48:12Speaker 1: problems with me. So why don't you hand over your
- 48:14Speaker 1: manager of the phone and we're gonna settle this, me
- 48:16Speaker 1: and your manager. And I don't want to ever see
- 48:18Speaker 1: you because I don't even know what I'm gonna do.
- 48:20Speaker 1: I've been so disrespected on this phone call right now
- 48:23Speaker 1: whom I hold them in day, So why don't you
- 48:25Speaker 1: pass your manager of the phone. I'm not afriend to
- 48:27Speaker 1: put you on the phone. Put me on the phone
- 48:30Speaker 1: with your manage. You don't have some for me, I'm
- 48:31Speaker 1: gonna call back. I'm gonna make sure you get five.
- 48:33Speaker 1: But disrespect to me. You're taking your anger out on
- 48:36Speaker 1: the ex wife and you're taking it out on me,
- 48:38Speaker 1: the anger that you have for her, You're taking it
- 48:40Speaker 1: out on me. That's what you're doing. No, I'm taking
- 48:43Speaker 1: out the disrespect that you keep laying on top of me,
- 48:46Speaker 1: like like you don't know how to talk to somebody.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I don't stand how you have this job, calling me,
- 48:50Speaker 1: disrespecting me like this. All I'm saying is the lady
- 48:53Speaker 1: won't chad to have this proof back in business. None
- 48:57Speaker 1: of your in business. So, like I said, give you
- 48:59Speaker 1: manager the phone, because I'm seated it that you're fired. Okay, okay,
- 49:03Speaker 1: all right, can you hold on for a minute, Yeah,
- 49:05Speaker 1: I can't hold on. Go ahead here. This is the
- 49:08Speaker 1: man's wife. She don't want me to deliver the stuff
- 49:11Speaker 1: because the ex wife is who sent it to him,
- 49:15Speaker 1: and she don't want to serious. So she got his
- 49:19Speaker 1: attitude and she cuts in at me, and I've been
- 49:21Speaker 1: talking crazy to her and I haven't the boots stuff
- 49:26Speaker 1: inspite for him the fruit badg. I need you to
- 49:28Speaker 1: just give you manager the phone. If that's enough explaining,
- 49:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him what over. Helloa, Liz, Hi, my
- 49:37Speaker 1: name is Dvina, and I need to talk to you
- 49:39Speaker 1: about your your customer service delivery person whatever he is.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I have been so disrespected on the phone. I've never
- 49:47Speaker 1: been met with such hostility on the phone before. At
- 49:50Speaker 1: this point, I just I just want to put this
- 49:53Speaker 1: behind me. I just want you to take it. Make
- 49:55Speaker 1: sure you speak to him, penalize him if he doesn't
- 49:57Speaker 1: understand where he just sits, but he just seeds. I will,
- 50:00Speaker 1: I will, I will. I will definitely reprimand him for that.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I don't want him make a delivery, not to my
- 50:06Speaker 1: not to my place of this. I'm here on Friday
- 50:08Speaker 1: all day. I don't need any delivery. Can you don't
- 50:11Speaker 1: want him to make the delivery? But can I ask
- 50:12Speaker 1: you a question? Delivery? I'm sorry, go ahead, Okay. I
- 50:15Speaker 1: can't take it. I can't take it. Listen, this is

- 53:39Speaker 1: a slave. Oh my god, explain seller, Steve, it's black dude.
- 53:48Speaker 1: When he has sex. He's having trouble having sex for
- 53:51Speaker 1: women twice cars in the middle of it. He wants
- 53:55Speaker 1: the women to treat him like a slave. They want him.
- 54:00Speaker 1: She wanted him to beat him, spit on it what
- 54:03Speaker 1: and called him a n worried and black women, white
- 54:08Speaker 1: women and Mexican women, and they all have in trouble
- 54:13Speaker 1: with doing that, and they think her he's just Cisco
- 54:16Speaker 1: and you know, oh wow, thet Yeah, all right, here
- 54:26Speaker 1: we go subject for today's letter. His wife was very
- 54:30Speaker 1: calm on the phone. Dear Stephen Shirley. Six months ago,
- 54:34Speaker 1: I met a man and I had no idea that
- 54:36Speaker 1: he was married when I met him. We waited a
- 54:39Speaker 1: month to have sex, and a week after that, I
- 54:41Speaker 1: was talking to a group of friends and told them
- 54:44Speaker 1: I met someone, and that's when I found out he
- 54:48Speaker 1: is married. When I confronted him, he didn't deny it,
- 54:51Speaker 1: and he said that it would not be a problem
- 54:53Speaker 1: for long. Unfortunately, I was already in love. I had
- 54:57Speaker 1: never dated a married man, and I was extremely hurt.
- 55:01Speaker 1: We continued our relationship because he had me believing that
- 55:04Speaker 1: he was about to leave his wife. When we went
- 55:06Speaker 1: apartment hunting and we found the perfect place to start
- 55:10Speaker 1: our new life together. He put down the deposit and
- 55:13Speaker 1: first month's rent, but he didn't move in with me.
- 55:16Speaker 1: He told me that he was going to move in
- 55:18Speaker 1: as soon as he could, but he had to tie
- 55:21Speaker 1: up some loose ends in his marriage. Meanwhile, he still
- 55:24Speaker 1: lives with his wife, and I'm miserable. So I got
- 55:27Speaker 1: impatient last week and called his house. He and I
- 55:30Speaker 1: were arguing hot and heavy on the phone, and he
- 55:33Speaker 1: told me to hold on. He put his wife on
- 55:36Speaker 1: the phone, so now she knows everything, and our love
- 55:41Speaker 1: triangle is very complicated. His wife said they have a
- 55:46Speaker 1: lot of history together and they own properties, so he
- 55:49Speaker 1: needs time to handle his business first. I'm not sure
- 55:52Speaker 1: what kind of woman he's married too, and I couldn't
- 55:54Speaker 1: tell if she's angry or not. She seemed cool, but
- 55:58Speaker 1: like I said, I've never been involved in a situation
- 56:01Speaker 1: with a married man. I'm giving him till the end
- 56:03Speaker 1: of the month to see what happens. Should I trust
- 56:06Speaker 1: what he says and give him time to get his
- 56:09Speaker 1: stuff together, or should I move out of the apartment
- 56:11Speaker 1: and move on with my life without him. What he
- 56:18Speaker 1: makes is a lot going on, a lot of false
- 56:21Speaker 1: don't it. Yeah, there's a lot going on for just
- 56:24Speaker 1: a six month relationship. Okay, but I have to tell
- 56:28Speaker 1: you off the bat, girl, move on with your life now.
- 56:31Speaker 1: When he works out, you know, his so called loose
- 56:34Speaker 1: ends with his wife and his history together with her,
- 56:37Speaker 1: with all their property and stuff, Let's see what happens.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Let's see what he does. Then in the meantime, protect yourself,
- 56:44Speaker 1: protect your heart by not seeing him, or don't take
- 56:48Speaker 1: his calls for a while because he is still married. Okay,
- 56:51Speaker 1: he's still married. Period. I will say this, something is
- 56:55Speaker 1: going on in this marriage, meaning they could be breaking off.
- 56:59Speaker 1: He could be telling the truth, because otherwise, why would
- 57:02Speaker 1: he put his wife on the phone, and why would
- 57:04Speaker 1: she tell you what's happening in their marriage? I mean, who, who?
- 57:07Speaker 1: What wife? Does this? I mean certainly not what I
- 57:11Speaker 1: expected when when you said, he said hold on and
- 57:14Speaker 1: put her on the phone. So I was expecting a
- 57:19Speaker 1: good old fashioned cussing out or something, but that did
- 57:22Speaker 1: not happen. I mean she kind of explained situation to
- 57:25Speaker 1: you with Darrel. Yeah, girl, you can have him, just
- 57:29Speaker 1: wait till you know she went there with it so
- 57:34Speaker 1: this property, Yeah, wait till we can get rid of
- 57:37Speaker 1: this property. You could have this sorry behind basically is
- 57:40Speaker 1: what she was saying. So you know, in this situation,
- 57:43Speaker 1: I say, stick to your ultimatum. You gave him an
- 57:46Speaker 1: ultimatum by the end of the month. Now by the
- 57:49Speaker 1: end of the month, if he hasn't moved out, I say,
- 57:52Speaker 1: then it is time for you to move on until
- 57:55Speaker 1: you see something different. Okay, talk is one thing, but
- 57:58Speaker 1: actions are completely different, and that's what you should rely on.
- 58:03Speaker 1: What he does, not what he says. Steve, Well, that
- 58:06Speaker 1: ain't what I see in this letter. So here we go.
- 58:09Speaker 1: Six months ago I met a man and I had
- 58:12Speaker 1: no idea that he was married. Now this letter, this
- 58:16Speaker 1: relationship is six months old. Shirley did say that I
- 58:19Speaker 1: didn't know idea he was married. So we waited a
- 58:21Speaker 1: month to have sex, and a week after that, I
- 58:24Speaker 1: was talking to a group of friends told him I
- 58:26Speaker 1: met somebody that what I found out, he was mad.
- 58:29Speaker 1: I'd have told y'all the ninety day rule. I have
- 58:34Speaker 1: said it to y'all, But oh, y'all, listen, uncle Steve. See,
- 58:38Speaker 1: if you'd have waited ninety days, you could have told
- 58:41Speaker 1: your friends after y'all had sex. After a month, I
- 58:45Speaker 1: met this man. You could have told him that before
- 58:48Speaker 1: you had sex, and then they would have told you
- 58:51Speaker 1: the same thing they told you before you had sex,
- 58:53Speaker 1: and then you could have made a better decision. But
- 58:56Speaker 1: all now, y'all, don't listen to me. That had ninety
- 58:59Speaker 1: day rule old f Well, y'all old, and I'm gonna
- 59:02Speaker 1: tell you how I know that too. I confronted him.
- 59:04Speaker 1: He didn't deny it, said it wouldn't be a problem
- 59:07Speaker 1: for loan. Unfortunately, I was already in love. Okay after
- 59:12Speaker 1: one month, no and and one, y'all had sex at
- 59:19Speaker 1: one week and now you've just gone. You thought this
- 59:25Speaker 1: was it? He put it right on the phone. See this,
- 59:29Speaker 1: how I know was a problem. I was already in
- 59:31Speaker 1: love and I've never dated a married man, which means
- 59:34Speaker 1: she's been around for a while. And I was extremely hurt.
- 59:38Speaker 1: We continued our relationship. I'll tell you about that. Yeah,
- 59:42Speaker 1: all right, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 59:44Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after be our subjects. His
- 59:47Speaker 1: wife was very calm on the phone. We'll be back
- 59:50Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 59:56Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter subject. His wife was very
- 59:59Speaker 1: calm on the phone, jumped the gun, had sex with
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: the man, find out he was mad. Got you talking
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: to some friends. They something came up and found out
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: he was married. Confronted him. He denied, but he said
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: it wouldn't be a problem for long. But unfortunately you
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: was already in love because you're old, and you thought
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: this was it. I never dated a married man before me,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: and you've been around for a while, and I was
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: extremely hurt. We continued our relationship because he had me
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: believing he was about to leave his wife. No, you
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: continued the relationship because you was in love. He had
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: me believing he was about to leave his wife. We
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: went apartment hunting. That's what he always here. This is
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: what we are. That's what they say. It won't be
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: a problem for long. That's a common line. Then I'm
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: about to leave my wife. That's another common line. We
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: went apartment hunting that hoel, and we found a perfect
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: place to start new life together. What didn't you Ain't
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: this the same dude that's married? What new life together
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you talking about? He put down the deposit and the
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: first month's rent, but he didn't move in with me.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Oh that ain't nothing done. That the fold, that's sugar daddy.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: He told me that he was gonna move in as
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: soon as he could. Well, that don't have a date
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: on it. But he had to tipe some loose ends
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: in his marriage. That's true, like the divorce. That's a
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: big ass, Lucien. Meanwhile, he still lives with his wife,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: and I'm miserable. So I got impatient last week and
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: called his house. Who got a house fault? Young people
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: don't have house fold? Young people got a problems today?
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: He had got no house fault. You call his house.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: That's caused y'all old all of this stuff, says, these
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: are just a grown people right here. So now you
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: are arguing hot and heavy on the phone. He told
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: me to hold on because in the background, who you
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: talking to? Herbert? His name is Herbert? Herbert? Who is
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you in that argue with here? Bernard did Hills. He
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: put his wife on the phone, so now she know everything.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: And I love triangle. It's very complicated. It's a love
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: triangle because you still in it. You had all the
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: opportunity for this not to be a triangle, but you
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: want to partment to be set up and all this
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: hen you can call this house. But now y'all got
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: a love triangle. And it's six months after you found
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: out after a month, so this is five months of
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: still seeing this man. His wife said that they have
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: a lot of history together, a lot of history. Once again,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: that's an old ass statement. And they own properties. Yeah,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: twenty year olds got no lot of properties. So he
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: needs time to handle his business first. I'm not sure
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: what kind of woman he's married too. Well, obviously he's
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: married to one that's done with his ass. Yes, And
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I couldn't tell if she's angry or not. Now this
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: is the line where you need to be killed. I
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: could not tell if she was angry or not. You
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: have a strong possibility or turning up missing. I'm just
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: gonna tell it to you, real lady. When a woman
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: get quiet and they come and you didn't took their
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: man and they come, it's because you are about to
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: find out a lot about how they did to move
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: a fatal attraction. It's been to be rabbits in a pot,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: cooking in your house, assing on top of your car.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: It's gonna start like that. Then you're gonna turn up missing.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I've never been involved in a situation with a married man.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: When you quit saying that. Stop saying that, because you
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: involved in a situation with a married man now for
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: six months, So quit saying you ain't ever been involved
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: with one before. You've been involved with him for six months.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I'm giving him to the end of the month to
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: see what happened. You what? Oh you want to move
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: it to get started? Oh? See what happened? Let me
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: tell you, get yourself some security at your front door
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: and your back door. That's what you need to do.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Should I trust what he says and give him time
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: to get his stuff together? Lady, you already doing that
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: even in this letter. You've been sawing before you sent
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: us to letter. Y'all still sleeping together, y'all still in
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: a complicated triangle. So quit talking about should I give
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: him time you're still seeing him? Or should I move
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: out the apartment and move on with your lap That
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: partment in your name he gave you. All he gave
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: you was the first monst rent and the deposit. That
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: apartment in your name that ain't in his name. Move
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: out if you want to gonna get your ass sued.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: That's what shouldn't happen. Now now you're getting sued and
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: you're gonna come up missing your life and catching out ahead.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, Steve. Post your comments on today's

- 1:14:08Speaker 1: We're not directing a tory? Okay, I see that that
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: that and I see that that wasn't even necessary. Did
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I mention any name? You know? I know I'm talking.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I never name I mentioned. Why are we even doing
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Tall Stories? What is that about? Why not we're doing chicken?
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: We were doing chicken, dudes and chicken? What instead of

- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I participative. Okay. To become a to become a member
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: of Tall New York, you must you must be twenty
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: one years of age. Okay, you got that. And you
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: must be five ten or over. I'm that for I'm
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: ten and a hand for women for women two six
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: two are over for men. Brayer, my man, I mean,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: and your ass is out because you ain't tall as
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: the girls. You know what, let me tell you something.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something exactly what I want to take.
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I'm discriminating, and I'm calling our shopping and we're marching
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: on this party. I promise you ain't nobody gonna see it. Well,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I'm more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: in some thirty three minutes after the hours. You're listening
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Our forever first lady. I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: love calling her that, Michelle Obama because she will always
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: be our forever first Lady. Well. She opened up about
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: her and former President Barack Obama's life after the White
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: House and their lives as empty nesters with Oprah and
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: her audience on Oprah's twenty twenty vision Your Life in
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: Focus is Brooklyn Tour Stop Um Oprah is on tour.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: She asked a former First Lady how hard it is
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: to stick with her catchphrase when they go low, we
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: go high with um after all of Washington's political drama
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: these days. The former First Lady went on to say,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: for me, what I learned from my husband, what I
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: learned from eight years in the White House, This life,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: this world, our responsibility in it is so much bigger
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: than us. What I want to go low. It's all
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: about my own ego. It's not about solving anything. It's
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: not about fixing anything. It's about seeking revenge on the
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: thing that happened to you. Got it. Yeah that makes sense.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: That's so true. Yeah, it makes sense. So she's still
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: going high even though all the lowness that's going on
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: right now. You know high ny, and I'm gonna drop low, frandom,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna drop low. Yeah. It has to do with
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: your ego, That's what she's saying, honestly. So, Um, do
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: you go high all the time? You don't know? Go low? No?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I meet your ass right wherever you ask. It might
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: be high, it might be low something yea. Now do
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I always regret it? Yep? Ye dog, I always regret
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: it after So yeah, yeah, it's really hard, um a
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: lot of times to go high. But you know, you
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: gotta respect the people. Now. Now, sometimes I don't want
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: to go high. Oh yeah, yeah, I just don't want to.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: That's human and I regret that too. But at some moments, though,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I feel like some people needs me right down the
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: way they are. Yes, So I can let the ass
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: get it back, because sometimes I don't go high for
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: teaching moments, and I think, yeah, I think that we
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: need to have this teaching moment right now. I ain't.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I ain't gonna let you figure out what happened later on.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: I've been to teach your ass a lesson. Right now,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: you go low, I go lower. What we're talking about?
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I got you? Yeah, you see now you don't come
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: over here with the next time you want to go low.
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: You got the rethank coming over here. Okay, Steve, not
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: fit to be in. But I also other scripture too, though,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: what do unto others as you would have them do
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: unto you? So you must have wanted to know what
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: that makes sense? It just did to me. Coming up
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: our last break of the day. It's the last break
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: up the day. Now, that's how you say it, uh.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: And also some closing remarks from Steve Harvey coming up
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after right after this, you're listening to
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: show all right here we are, last break of the day.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: It's been a good day. It's been a great day
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: as a matter of fact. And you know, Steve, we
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: talked about the oscars a lot yesterday. But I want
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: to say congratulations to Matthew Cherry and Karen Rupert Tolliver.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: They won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film for
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Hair Love. Congratulations to them. I think that's a first
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: for African Americans. And they dedicated their win to Kobe Bryant.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: So we just wanted to say congratulations. And uh, you know,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: black Hair won an Oscar. I love it hair Love, Yes,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they did. They want an
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: They both won Oscars for that movie hair Love. It's
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: because they showed love for They showed love for the
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: little brother. You know, he's been having problems in Texas
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: at trying to graduate. Yeah yeah, yeah, all these years.
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Man him to cut his hair because his hair, well,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: he can't walk with class. He can't graduate, he can't graduate. Yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: but gabriel Gabrielle Union flew him and his family out
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: and they was on the red carpet. Yeah all right. See,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: we was going good in the first three hours. Then
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: they got tall the last hour. Yeah, well tell me
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: five ten ain't really five ten for ladies. Do you
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: want to maybe try sex change? Wait a minute, I'm
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: not changing my sex, man, Dunn. That's the only way
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: you're gonna be considered tall to get I'm not changing
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: my sex. Well, they said five ten for women and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: you five ten as a man. You could use a woman,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: you could be in the tall club. Now, if you're
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: not gonna do that, you're gonna have to be quiet.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: Oh so I'm good and to be quiet club. That's
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: what I'm good for. When you start your own club? Yeah,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: what's what kind of clubs? Showing him out? Yes, this
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: is this is very disrespectful. Why don't you Why don't
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you do a cookie class for short people like to
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: cook really small teach people how to greel from from
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: up high small plates. All right, let me do this
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: right quick, y'all, let me do it. I want I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: want to I want to share something with you all
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: that I discovered doing my morning meditation recently, and I've
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: found I've discovered this way that I've suddenly gotten more
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: and more of peace of mind. You know, I'm gonna
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: be honest with you. Earlier in the year, I was
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: diagnosed borderline high blood. I didn't have high blood, but
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I was diagnosed borderline high blood, so they wanted to
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: put me on this medication so it didn't become high blood.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: And when I went back to the doctor ninety days later,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: he said, Wow, your blood pressure is perfect. The medication
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: is worth but I saw that you didn't complete your refeels,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: and I said, I stopped taking it five days after
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: you gave it to me. He said, mister Harvey, you
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: can't stop taking this medication for your high blood because
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: you work a lot, and you're under a lot of
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: intense pressure with your jobs, and you could you could
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: just could be bad news. But your blood pressure is perfect.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: He said, what did you do? I said, I was
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: studying one morning. He said studying? Howso, I said, I
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: do a meditation every morning, and in the meditation, I
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: found out through some things that how blood pressure starts
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: in the mind, and so I just cleared my mind out.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: And so what I had learned, though you are in
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: my morning meditation, is that it's hard to find peace
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: of mind when you're constantly engaging in except I said planning.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Now follow me what I'm saying. I found myself that
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: I would plan so much for the upcoming week, the
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: upcoming month. What I was gonna say what I met
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: this person, what I was gonna say in this meeting.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: How I was gonna pitch this, and I would worry
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: about it so much. I was so engaged in excessive planning.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I was attempting to control what was going to happen
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to me in the future. That is the beginning of
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: raising your blood pressure. That is the beginning of anxiety.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: That is the beginning of becoming anxious. You know, the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: Bible says be anxious for nothing, but I wanted so
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: many things to happen. I was working so hard to
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: make things happen that I was contempted to control what
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: was going to happen to me in the future. And
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: what I was learning through my morning metation, which is
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: a spiritual thing that I go through. That's a common practice,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: but it's also a form of unbelief. And that shocked
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: me when I found that out. You mean to tell
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: me that my constantly planning and all of this. And
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: that's not to say that you're not to set goals
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: and have aspirations, dreams, But when you start worrying about
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: the future, you start concerning yourself with what's going to happen.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: When you start trying to fix and mold everything in
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: your future, you're setting yourself up. You're setting yourself up.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: And it's a common practice of unbelief because when your
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: mind spends with all these complexities of plans, peace sometimes
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: seems within your grass because you think you're actually getting
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: a grip on what's going to happen, but it ends
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: up eluding you, because just when you think you've prepared
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: yourself all possible possibilities, some unexpected pops up and throws
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: everything into confusion. And here you go again, because now
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: you got to start rescrambling again to readjust what you
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: thought you was gonna say, what you thought was gonna happen,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: what you hope would happened, and what you hope and
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: playing that happened and it didn't happen, and throws you
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: the other confusion, and you find yourself constantly fixing stuff.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: You got to stay in the present. You got to
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: remember what the Lord's prayer says, Give us this day
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: our daily bread. You have enough to worry about today.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: We are not designed or equipped to worry about the
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: future and deal with the future. It is enough for
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: us to deal with today. Give us this day our
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: daily bread. If you focus on today, get guidance and
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: understanding for today. That will help you reduce a lot
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: of stress in your life. Those are my closing remarks today,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: y'all have and hey, look here have a great mote.
