- Charles: The the the businesses were saying, hey, I can't get the the the maximum profit if of my truck was or driving or people using highway if certain people are locked out. It it never was about the morality or discrimination. It's always about economic benjamies, as you like to say. It's all about the business. Greg: Dollars. And the thing is, I mean i i i if a if a bakery wants to go ahead and lose money and not make money, I mean I mean, don't they have a right to not make money? I mean don't I mean I guess that's my my ignorance here 'cause you're the lawyer, I'm not. And so this is where my logical question here is if if a guy wants to turn away business, doesn't he have a right to turn away business? 'Cause I mean, me as a business owner myself, if somebody comes to me, wants me to do something and I don't agree with them or I don't like them, I'm not gonna work with them either. You know, I mean you know, as a small business owner, I mean, you should be able to have the right to to not to not work if if it's something that you don't believe in. Charles: Well it's something but the Greg: I mean I mean does it basically do do the business owners not have a right of the they they don't have their rights at all? What is it is it is the rights only belong to the customers only? ⁓ the customers only have the rights and the ⁓ people who are paying for the plumbing, they pay for the utilities, they pay for the the the easement, they pay for the small business taxes, they they pay for all the extremely high costs of everything. Yeah, hardly make any kind of profit in the food industry at all. So basically those people have no rights. Charles: Well, they do. They do, but this is a d you you you balance the greater public accommodation laws versus your individuality because you can have a delusional, nonsensical ways of thinking. And what we're what we're saying. Yeah. But this exactly. So this is this is the easy way to understand, Greg. No one puts a gun to a entrepreneur head to say, be an entrepreneur, be this n no, it's a discretionary thing. Greg: There's a lot of crazy people. Charles: that you individually decide to do. That's step number one. Step number two is that that when you become an entrepreneur, there are legal rules, regulations, laws and guidelines that say if you want to participate in this business in order to get a license and then maintain that license, these are certain things you need to follow as a business owner. Okay. And minor things or civil rights and individual liberties that everybody is granted as citizens of the United States. So in order for you to participate in an entrepreneurial game, for lack of a better word, you gotta play accordingly. And if you don't play accordingly, you are you don't have the right to have that license because you're not doing things that you need to do. And we can pull your license. The license is a privilege, not a message.
