- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join me. You gotta use that turn you
- 1:24Speaker 1: you got to turn to turn them out. Turn, you
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your tha uh huh, I
- 2:03Speaker 1: sure will a good heart to everybody. You're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now wanting only Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Um. Five things that I
- 2:14Speaker 1: know successful people have to do to be successful. The
- 2:18Speaker 1: principles are the same. You can apply it to anything,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you know, if you want to be happily married, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: whatever it is. The principles of success are the same.
- 2:28Speaker 1: There are a series of things that you have to do.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You cannot skip the steps of success. If you do,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you're going to have to go back and step on
- 2:36Speaker 1: them anyway. So here's here's here's here's a part man
- 2:41Speaker 1: that I want you all to understand about me and
- 2:44Speaker 1: and and about how to look at it. You know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you cannot underestimate faith and prayer. You just can't. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: cannot underestimate the power of faith and the power of prayer.
- 3:08Speaker 1: See for me, this is just for me. Now, this
- 3:11Speaker 1: ain't in the scripture nowhere. This is just something I discovered.
- 3:15Speaker 1: What prayer did for me was was it tied me
- 3:18Speaker 1: to my creator. It gave me a sense and I'm
- 3:25Speaker 1: describing it this way, but I'm telling you it's deeper
- 3:28Speaker 1: than this. But it gave me a sense that I
- 3:31Speaker 1: wasn't alone and an actuality. I wasn't. But prayer helped
- 3:38Speaker 1: connect me to the power source that was available to
- 3:43Speaker 1: me to get through, get around, or get over whatever
- 3:50Speaker 1: it was that was in a way, whether it was
- 3:53Speaker 1: just a period I stretched, I had to go through
- 3:55Speaker 1: hard work. It had a period I had to go
- 3:58Speaker 1: through to learn some less some periods I had to
- 4:02Speaker 1: go through from having to pay for some of the
- 4:04Speaker 1: mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be, Prayer gave
- 4:09Speaker 1: me a decided advantage, especially oh here we go, Especially
- 4:18Speaker 1: over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in my
- 4:23Speaker 1: life that were my enemies, I didn't want them to
- 4:25Speaker 1: be my enemies, Make no mistake about this. But through
- 4:30Speaker 1: the thing called life, some things went down, Some things
- 4:33Speaker 1: happened from here and then went over here or that way,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and a person became my enemy. The majority of enemies
- 4:41Speaker 1: I had came out of nowhere. I have no reason
- 4:45Speaker 1: to even see why they are my enemies. But you know,
- 4:50Speaker 1: life goes on, man. It happens from time to time.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Some people just won't let it go. See some people,
- 4:56Speaker 1: in their quest to do something to you or to
- 5:00Speaker 1: make you pay, they just won't let it go. What
- 5:04Speaker 1: it may cause you some discomfort, and some of them
- 5:06Speaker 1: may be lies about you and all of this and
- 5:09Speaker 1: all of that, but you that that can't prohibit you
- 5:12Speaker 1: from going forward. So what I'm saying is prayer gave
- 5:17Speaker 1: me the strength, wisdom, understanding the carriage to either go
- 5:20Speaker 1: through it, go around it, or go over it. But
- 5:26Speaker 1: it happened. I do not know how I could have
- 5:31Speaker 1: made it. Without faith and without prayer, it would have
- 5:36Speaker 1: something would have got me. You two would have got me.
- 5:42Speaker 1: The bloggers would have got me. My partners that I
- 5:48Speaker 1: grew up with, that used to laugh behind my back.
- 5:51Speaker 1: They would have got me. My friend that would over
- 5:55Speaker 1: my mother's house one time and told her. You know
- 5:58Speaker 1: what Steve's problem is he out to telling them jokes.
- 6:01Speaker 1: He just lazy, he don't want to work. That would
- 6:04Speaker 1: have got me. They didn't know. I ain't really mad
- 6:09Speaker 1: at him because they were just All they was doing
- 6:11Speaker 1: was basing their conversations and passing judgment based on what
- 6:16Speaker 1: they knew, based on what they believed. They didn't believe
- 6:20Speaker 1: I was gonna make it. But that's them though. If
- 6:25Speaker 1: it was not for the faith, which is the belief
- 6:28Speaker 1: in things that you cannot see, I wouldn't have made
- 6:30Speaker 1: it because I would have listened to everybody else who
- 6:35Speaker 1: didn't see me getting here and went along with it.
- 6:40Speaker 1: And then prayer. Oh my goodness, man, how many times
- 6:44Speaker 1: has prayer bailed me out? Prayer has bailed me out?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Prestiel belling me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet
- 6:53Speaker 1: as its kelp Prayer. That connection to your heavenly Father,
- 7:01Speaker 1: that connection to your creator, that connection to that source
- 7:04Speaker 1: of power and inspiration, that connection of never feeling that
- 7:08Speaker 1: you were alone. You know. I was watching a Bishop
- 7:11Speaker 1: Jakes on a TV yesterday and it was a repeat
- 7:15Speaker 1: and one of the things he was talking about, well,
- 7:20Speaker 1: let me just get to the gist of it. I
- 7:23Speaker 1: was going through a portion of my life and I
- 7:28Speaker 1: went through it for some years, y'all. I had gotten
- 7:30Speaker 1: myself into a jam that lasted for years, I'm telling you,
- 7:36Speaker 1: for years, with some serious consequences to follow. For years.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And I was so busy looking at who I was at.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I was sulking sometimes, Man, I'd get on the radio, Man,
- 7:55Speaker 1: I'd be just done. I was sulking. My my spirit
- 8:02Speaker 1: had gotten low. I had gotten tired of the fight,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and I would I would come on some mornings, man,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and I will try try not to let on, but
- 8:11Speaker 1: I was hurting. I was because I had been in
- 8:13Speaker 1: it for years. Man, I had been in this thing
- 8:15Speaker 1: for years. And one thing I was doing. I was
- 8:19Speaker 1: so busy looking at where I was at. And when
- 8:23Speaker 1: I was watching Bishop Jake's he preached this sermon. He
- 8:27Speaker 1: was talking about so busy looking at where you at
- 8:37Speaker 1: that you don't even realize that God has been with
- 8:43Speaker 1: you the entire time. And you know what, man, just yesterday,
- 8:50Speaker 1: just yesterday, I heard this and I text him. I
- 8:53Speaker 1: text Bishop Jakes, and I thanked him because it was
- 8:56Speaker 1: an old message I could tell. And I called a
- 9:00Speaker 1: X him up and I said, man, thank you so much.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I was just watching you on TV, and you told
- 9:04Speaker 1: me man, something that I that I'll always remember that
- 9:08Speaker 1: whatever you're going through, that he's there with you the
- 9:12Speaker 1: whole time. But see when sometimes when you're so busy
- 9:16Speaker 1: looking at where you at, you don't even notice where
- 9:18Speaker 1: he is. And see sometimes, man, that that helped me
- 9:22Speaker 1: and that's going to help me in the future to
- 9:24Speaker 1: realize that what I'm going through, that he's there. He's
- 9:27Speaker 1: there with me, and he gonna protect me, and he
- 9:30Speaker 1: ain't gonna let my enemies overcome me, and he ain't
- 9:32Speaker 1: gonna let nobody overtake me, and he ain't gonna let
- 9:35Speaker 1: me go under because he's there. It's just you can't
- 9:39Speaker 1: be so busy looking at where you at that you
- 9:40Speaker 1: don't take notice or where he at. God is always there,
- 9:44Speaker 1: He's always available, and the best way to tap into
- 9:47Speaker 1: that and know it is you got to pray. Prayer
- 9:50Speaker 1: has changed my life. Prayer can change your life. You
- 9:54Speaker 1: can become something if you just pray. You're show, Ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, it is upon us to Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:05Speaker 1: Show us here alive and well and vivid, all living color.

- 13:18Speaker 1: try to change and help as many young people as
- 13:20Speaker 1: I can. Few adults along the way, you know, if

- 14:00Speaker 1: dating a man that's my age. He is active on
- 14:03Speaker 1: social media and takes lots of pictures with women. He
- 14:06Speaker 1: said he loves meeting people and that's it. There's no
- 14:09Speaker 1: romantic involvement with the women. I have no idea if
- 14:13Speaker 1: that's true or not. So I've asked him to stop
- 14:15Speaker 1: posting the pictures if he wants to continue to date me.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Instead of removing the images, he blocked me from his
- 14:21Speaker 1: Facebook page. Is this a deal breaker? Oh? Wow? What
- 14:26Speaker 1: fifty year old man? Just love meeting people? Yeah? For
- 14:30Speaker 1: what we are men, we don't do anything without reason.
- 14:35Speaker 1: We do nothing. Listen to me. I don't care what
- 14:38Speaker 1: man it is. We don't do nothing without a reason.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I love meeting people for what. That's cool to love
- 14:45Speaker 1: meeting people. But you've got to meet him for a reason.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Right the hell, I'm will be meeting a lot of
- 14:50Speaker 1: people for unless I want something man, please? Yeah, and
- 14:53Speaker 1: just women. Right? And So to answer her question, Steve,
- 14:59Speaker 1: it should be a a deal breaker, right because he'd
- 15:02Speaker 1: blocked you. Yeah, yeah, definitely. That means he not been
- 15:07Speaker 1: to stop for you. So yeah, you don't mean that
- 15:10Speaker 1: much to him, irma unfortunately. Yeah? All right, moving on
- 15:15Speaker 1: this one from Dallas that is the name. Dallas is
- 15:20Speaker 1: an iHeartRadio app listener Dallas says, my girlfriend and I
- 15:23Speaker 1: broke up last week over some money I owed her,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and she embarrassed me so badly. I repair computers for
- 15:29Speaker 1: a living, and I've been having problems with my u
- 15:33Speaker 1: siatic skiatic nerve, so I take muscle relaxes for the pain.
- 15:38Speaker 1: The pills mess with my libido, and I can't go
- 15:41Speaker 1: to work while I'm taking them, so I couldn't have
- 15:43Speaker 1: sex or pay my girl back. She sent a group
- 15:47Speaker 1: text to our friends calling me mister Microsoft whoa, which
- 15:53Speaker 1: implied that it is small and it doesn't work properly.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Can I recover from this? Uh? Not in this circle appearance,
- 16:06Speaker 1: you know, unless you unless you change your name. The
- 16:09Speaker 1: hard drive Ye, that's about all you could do. You
- 16:15Speaker 1: got to get it on a Facebook page started up
- 16:19Speaker 1: called hard drive drive, you know, and that's it, and
- 16:23Speaker 1: you can you know, and you could put that out
- 16:25Speaker 1: there befoul the Microsoft thing hits you know, mean, yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 1: well you know, I don't. I don't know. What are
- 16:38Speaker 1: you talking about? This? Uh? What you gotta scattic? What
- 16:41Speaker 1: kind of nerve? Nerve? No? I don't, okay, And you
- 16:48Speaker 1: got to take appeal for it and it makes you
- 16:52Speaker 1: muscle relax. Well you can't. That's the one muscle you
- 16:55Speaker 1: can't relax. And I'm just telling you. We get the point. Yeah,
- 17:00Speaker 1: we're gonna stop taking this hill. You gotta give me,
- 17:02Speaker 1: give me some vikaty, give me something else. Dog, But
- 17:07Speaker 1: we're not even take muscle relaxing. I love your answer
- 17:10Speaker 1: for hard drive. I love all right, all right, Yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 1: that's how you can recover from it, Dallas. All right.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Moving on Francis and Smyrna. Georgia says, I'm sixty seven
- 17:22Speaker 1: years old and my daughter and her son moved in
- 17:24Speaker 1: with me after they had a small house fire. Okay,
- 17:27Speaker 1: now this is a guy. No, Francis is a woman.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I believe. Yeah, I think it was my grandson's fault,
- 17:34Speaker 1: but I don't think my daughter suffects anything is wrong
- 17:37Speaker 1: with him. I've been losing sleep since they've been staying
- 17:40Speaker 1: with me because my grandson is up all night. He's fourteen,
- 17:44Speaker 1: so his mom allows him to cook and be independent.
- 17:47Speaker 1: How do I tell my daughter that her son might
- 17:49Speaker 1: need to be evaluated? Whoa baby? You need to give
- 17:53Speaker 1: you check down? Well you need you know, you got
- 17:59Speaker 1: to talk like old people. Baby, You need to take
- 18:01Speaker 1: him down and get get somebody to see about it.
- 18:05Speaker 1: You know. Now we're gonna start with prayer, but if
- 18:07Speaker 1: that doesn't work, we got to get him down to
- 18:10Speaker 1: a hospital because he just set your house o f.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And they defend to burn his house down because his
- 18:16Speaker 1: ass can't cooking in that cooking all types of night
- 18:18Speaker 1: and that's probably how it burnt your damn house down.
- 18:22Speaker 1: But I can't get no sleep because he up wearing
- 18:24Speaker 1: meat that ain't gonna work. Yeah, I'd use up on
- 18:31Speaker 1: him at night if I was friends. What you're doing
- 18:34Speaker 1: in him? Every time you see me to catch you
- 18:37Speaker 1: walk up behind him and go let me hold twenty
- 18:40Speaker 1: dollars nothing mean, yeah, let me twitter. Do you say
- 19:02Speaker 1: that to a fourteen year old? Yeah? Seriously? So yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: you just gotta I mean clo. She just gotta tell
- 19:10Speaker 1: her daughter point her daughter point blank that her son. Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: we gotta get him checked out, seriously, because you don't
- 19:18Speaker 1: want another disaster to happen and go to bed at night. Yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 1: what a fourteen year old kid is allowed? The first
- 19:25Speaker 1: of all, he ain't disciplined exactly. She let him run
- 19:28Speaker 1: him up, and that's what's wrong. No discipline. Yeah, staying
- 19:32Speaker 1: up all night. I mean, I guess it's summertime. But
- 19:36Speaker 1: he need practice, he need to be this stuff. Yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but his mom allows him to cook and be independent.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I don't give a damn if it was summertime. I
- 19:44Speaker 1: had to go to bed. Yeah, you need structure. Yes,
- 19:48Speaker 1: can you just stay up? That TV? Off? In there?
- 19:51Speaker 1: You ain't paid for nothing, exactly those lights out getting
- 19:55Speaker 1: the bed. She's standing in refrigerator fall. You ain't bought
- 19:58Speaker 1: nothing there now, drinking out of the milk cart. All right,
- 20:04Speaker 1: we're moving on. Ruth Anne in Chicago says, I am
- 20:07Speaker 1: recently divorced and my ex husband is about to get remarried.
- 20:11Speaker 1: His mom and I are best friends and we go
- 20:13Speaker 1: to casino together often. I baby said. All of his
- 20:16Speaker 1: sisters children, so we've been a close knit family for
- 20:19Speaker 1: over twenty years. But that will all change soon. My
- 20:23Speaker 1: ex husband told his family members that I'm off limits
- 20:25Speaker 1: now and they need to get used to his new wife.
- 20:28Speaker 1: They're not happy about it, neither am I. And do
- 20:31Speaker 1: we have to respect his wishes? Well? They do. You
- 20:36Speaker 1: might not, but you ain't gonna be running with my mama.

- 29:58Speaker 1: don't miss on for sure. Let's y'all. Let's go, y'all,
- 30:02Speaker 1: we gotta get vaccinated. Let's do this. I don't I
- 30:08Speaker 1: really don't understand the hesitancy. But at the same time,
- 30:12Speaker 1: everybody has to make the decision for themselves. I didn't.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I'm not going for the theory portion of it. Let
- 30:19Speaker 1: me just tell you this. My in laws who are
- 30:22Speaker 1: in their eighties, both of them that their nurse gave
- 30:28Speaker 1: them COVID. The doctor said, thank god you all had
- 30:33Speaker 1: the vaccinated. This could have been really bad. They suffered
- 30:38Speaker 1: hardly any symptoms at all. Beautiful news. I mean at best.
- 30:43Speaker 1: At best, my mother in law had a little cold,
- 30:46Speaker 1: but my father in law and they have pre existing conditions.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So I thank God for the vaccination because it would
- 30:52Speaker 1: have been bad for them. Yeah, that's what the time
- 30:55Speaker 1: meaning is for. You know. That's my crazy ass sister.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Won't take it, not not, moaned Polo. I don't won't
- 31:08Speaker 1: take no shot. Okay, stay your ass at the house, Steve. No, no,
- 31:14Speaker 1: you got to stay your ass at the house. Now
- 31:17Speaker 1: I want to go out, but I'm scared to go out.
- 31:19Speaker 1: So she just at the house. There ain't no problem.
- 31:22Speaker 1: You stay at the house. But you know, you know,
- 31:24Speaker 1: you do understand. Yeah, it's like a weight come off
- 31:28Speaker 1: your shoulder once you get vaccinated. Like I felt relieved
- 31:30Speaker 1: you when I leave. Yeah, I'm telling you. I mean
- 31:33Speaker 1: I lost four friends in COVID, so you know, really
- 31:36Speaker 1: over yeah, four and couldn't go to the funeral because
- 31:39Speaker 1: it's only ten people allowed, you know, so you know
- 31:43Speaker 1: that was a personal reason why I got vaccinated. You know,
- 31:46Speaker 1: not a reason why, but that was a big one.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Both friends, good friends. Now nobody got see every now
- 31:50Speaker 1: and then people I just talked to, you know, people
- 31:53Speaker 1: you just talk to. Yeah, the hit home like a
- 31:56Speaker 1: lot of people listening to us right now, lost loved
- 31:59Speaker 1: ones and friends. I lost a couple of a couple
- 32:02Speaker 1: of people I knew, not close friends, but some people
- 32:05Speaker 1: I knew definitely I lost. And yeah I think some
- 32:09Speaker 1: really really close calls with some too. So yeah, yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 1: everyone knows someone who's been touched by COVID in some
- 32:17Speaker 1: way for sure. For sure. Yeah. Well, moving on. It
- 32:23Speaker 1: is time now for tell me something good. Black girl
- 32:27Speaker 1: magic news. Okay, yes, that is the title. Yeah. Track
- 32:31Speaker 1: star Gabby Thomas just set a new world record, making
- 32:34Speaker 1: her the second fastest woman of all time. Thomas just
- 32:38Speaker 1: set a new record, yes, um, with the record breaking
- 32:42Speaker 1: speed of twenty one point sixty one seconds in that's
- 32:46Speaker 1: twenty one point sixty one seconds in women's two hundred meter.
- 32:49Speaker 1: All right, whoa. She will be heading to Tokyo for
- 32:58Speaker 1: the Summer Olympics. Gabby didn't all too far behind Florence
- 33:01Speaker 1: Griffith Joiner. Now that this black girl magic Harvard grad
- 33:06Speaker 1: has reached this amazing feat, she's planning her next goal.
- 33:10Speaker 1: She's going to have him to map out a different
- 33:12Speaker 1: trajectory for her life. Now she says she wants to
- 33:15Speaker 1: make the Olympic team. Oh yeah, she's done. Now that's amazing,
- 33:19Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Yeah, we gotta move on, ladies and gentlemen,
- 33:21Speaker 1: miss a and trip. Okay, good morning, everybody. This is
- 33:24Speaker 1: a trip with the news. I'm want to start with Florida, folks.
- 33:26Speaker 1: According to the latest report out of Serfside Florida. The
- 33:29Speaker 1: remains of now eleven people have been recovered out of
- 33:33Speaker 1: what's left of that twelve story Beach froncondo building that
- 33:36Speaker 1: collapsed last Thursday. That leaves over one hundred and fifty
- 33:40Speaker 1: residents still missing an unaccounted for one hundred and fifty.
- 33:44Speaker 1: That's a staggering number on account of for Miami Dade
- 33:48Speaker 1: County Mayor Dan Yello, Levy Cavis says, the search though,
- 33:51Speaker 1: goes on day and night. We're going to continue and
- 33:53Speaker 1: work ceaselessly to exhaust every passable option in our search.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I repeat. The search and rescue operation continues, and now
- 34:05Speaker 1: the search and rescue team in Miami has been joined
- 34:07Speaker 1: by teams from other parts of Florida, as well as
- 34:10Speaker 1: teams from Mexico, even Israel. The work is painstakingly slow
- 34:14Speaker 1: because the big pieces of concrete can be removed by
- 34:17Speaker 1: a machine, but everything else has to be removed by hand.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And they're using both video cameras and also listening devices
- 34:23Speaker 1: to try and find victims because sometimes in these things,
- 34:26Speaker 1: sometimes a victim is caught in an air pocket and
- 34:29Speaker 1: that person is alive, so they're trying to find anybody,
- 34:32Speaker 1: any live victims. The Bide administration defending yesterday's air strikes
- 34:36Speaker 1: against Iraq back militia in Iraq and Syria Iranbeck's militia. Rather,
- 34:41Speaker 1: it was in Iraq and Syria. The White House press
- 34:43Speaker 1: Sergi Jensaki says the action was meant to protect US
- 34:46Speaker 1: and allied positions on the ground. The President's view is
- 34:49Speaker 1: that it was necessary, appropriate and deliberate action. These strikes
- 34:55Speaker 1: are designed to limit the risk of escalation. We will take,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and he believes we will should will take necessary and
- 35:00Speaker 1: appropriate measures to defend US personnelity partners, and allies in
- 35:04Speaker 1: the region. Now, Persaki adds of the administration did notify
- 35:07Speaker 1: the appropriate members of Congress before the action was taken.
- 35:10Speaker 1: He just didn't go out, they say, like a cowboy.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Texas Attorney General Ken Paxsons followed a suit against a
- 35:15Speaker 1: company called Blessings in No Time or Bent, accusing it
- 35:18Speaker 1: or running a pyramid scheme during the pandemic. The lawsuit
- 35:21Speaker 1: accuses Bent of defrauding mostly black Texans out of tens
- 35:25Speaker 1: of millions of dollars, collecting some fourteen hundred dollars from
- 35:28Speaker 1: each person and promising to bless their family and bring
- 35:31Speaker 1: that sum up to eleven grand if they get some
- 35:33Speaker 1: other people to sign up. That Folks is a pyramid scheme.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Okay when somebody says that run Finally though, today is
- 35:42Speaker 1: National Hug and Kiss Day. Oh wow, really really really
- 35:46Speaker 1: really really truly well oh yeah, okay, now back to
- 35:50Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show Steve,
- 35:55Speaker 1: you know you and your lovely wife Marjorie, especially Marjorie
- 35:59Speaker 1: love fashion. Okay, Uh, you've been really flying episodes of
- 36:04Speaker 1: celebrity Family Feud, if we must say so ourselves, don't
- 36:08Speaker 1: everyone on the show. Yeah yeah, I'm like, ain't well
- 36:19Speaker 1: know what he's doing? Ye? All right, So let's talk
- 36:23Speaker 1: about a little bit about style, Steve, Um, you know,
- 36:27Speaker 1: tell us about your style. Um, I mean, what I
- 36:31Speaker 1: like about it is it's youthful. You never you know,
- 36:34Speaker 1: you always tell us about your age. You don't hide
- 36:36Speaker 1: your age, and a lot of guys your age look
- 36:38Speaker 1: their age. But you dress youthful, but you still keep
- 36:41Speaker 1: it age appropriate, you know what I mean. So let's
- 36:45Speaker 1: talk about swag. Yeah, you do all of that, Yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I mean I've always been a
- 36:51Speaker 1: fan of dressing up and I've always been like you
- 36:55Speaker 1: know into fashion. But I mean, of course since evolved
- 37:00Speaker 1: over the years. You know, I used to be strictly
- 37:04Speaker 1: urban and I represented the urban culture for show very well.
- 37:09Speaker 1: You know, baggy pants, you know, gators, all of that,
- 37:15Speaker 1: and so you know, as I've I've grown older slowly.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I mean, I've always just evolved this new I have
- 37:22Speaker 1: a stylus or that I hired over a little over
- 37:27Speaker 1: a year ago, and he he's more into more like
- 37:32Speaker 1: fitting what's really out color combinations. But we had to
- 37:35Speaker 1: talk this year. I said I wanted to go back
- 37:38Speaker 1: to some of the colors because of my Facebook watch show.
- 37:41Speaker 1: They they said, we don't want you to wear, you know,
- 37:45Speaker 1: shirts and ties like you did on your talk show
- 37:49Speaker 1: in the first season of Facebook. I want you to
- 37:52Speaker 1: just you know, you know, what would you wear? And
- 37:55Speaker 1: I said, well, I could just wear what I wear
- 37:56Speaker 1: when I'm not on TV, which is a little more
- 37:59Speaker 1: cutting and fashion forward. And so we decided to go
- 38:03Speaker 1: back to a little bit more colors and do some
- 38:05Speaker 1: more different fabrics that I would wear if I was
- 38:08Speaker 1: just out and now celebrity family Feud of Conscious decision
- 38:12Speaker 1: was made was to go back to the colors. Kings
- 38:15Speaker 1: of comedy colors. But but with the new tailored fit,
- 38:21Speaker 1: and then we did some more fabrics. We started doing
- 38:24Speaker 1: a lot of monotones and stuff like that. Here strategy.
- 38:29Speaker 1: You're serious, Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean. And
- 38:34Speaker 1: it's fun to watch it happened. You know, this new
- 38:37Speaker 1: stylus is really smart too. What's out and what's not
- 38:40Speaker 1: and everything that's out of here for me. So I
- 38:43Speaker 1: just really make it my own, like you said, you know,
- 38:45Speaker 1: I keep it age appropriate because you know, I am
- 38:47Speaker 1: sixty four years old. Blue Chief Forever. Coming up in
- 38:52Speaker 1: thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll talk about summertime
- 38:56Speaker 1: it is upon us. Right after this you're listening to
- 38:59Speaker 1: Day Morning Show. Well, you guys know that it's summertime.
- 39:04Speaker 1: People can't wait to travel and go on vacation. So Steven,
- 39:08Speaker 1: I gotta ask you this, what do you like most
- 39:10Speaker 1: about going on vacation? Uh? Yesterday we saw you in
- 39:14Speaker 1: Marjorie fishing, Junior. I know you and your family fish, Tommy,
- 39:18Speaker 1: you and your mommy fish. What's happening, Steve, Well, we
- 39:22Speaker 1: were just out in the backyard. That's all you want,
- 39:28Speaker 1: big dog. We were just out in the back y'all.
- 39:31Speaker 1: But y'all said, go on vacation. We ain't gone vacation.
- 39:35Speaker 1: It ain't vacation time. If I was on vacation, wise,
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm on this radio. That ain't vacation today, all right.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Just went out back to see Marjorie. She she want
- 39:50Speaker 1: to fish. I gotta go down there, set all her
- 39:52Speaker 1: rods and stuff up for And I wasn't even trying
- 39:56Speaker 1: to fish. I had on slides and everything. But then
- 39:58Speaker 1: she down there. She want to use another rod. So
- 40:01Speaker 1: I had to go down there to show how to

- 43:32Speaker 1: one of his favorite things to do. Oh. Absolutely, I
- 43:36Speaker 1: like fishing morning. I like playing golf or smokers in golf.

- 44:11Speaker 1: going on and we'll yeah, we'll get into it in
- 44:15Speaker 1: just a little bit. Right now, the nephew is here
- 44:18Speaker 1: with today's praying phone call. What you got for us,
- 44:20Speaker 1: naff Yo, baby got my babies name? Your baby? Got
- 44:28Speaker 1: my baby name? Yo, baby, got my baby name? Yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: that's it right there, Come on, cat, your baby, I'm
- 44:35Speaker 1: my baby name. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach a Patricia,
- 44:41Speaker 1: Patricia who is it. How you doing? Listen, Um, my
- 44:45Speaker 1: name is Floyd. Floyd. I want to give you a call.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Your your daughter, she'll team's middle school. Right. What's your
- 44:51Speaker 1: name again? Okay? What can I just fight you? Well,
- 44:55Speaker 1: like I said, your your daughter she goes she do
- 44:57Speaker 1: go to middle school, right, yeah, okay, Now her name,
- 45:01Speaker 1: her name is Dereka. We know that. Okay. Well, it's
- 45:05Speaker 1: something wrong or something. No, no, no, nothing wrong. I
- 45:08Speaker 1: mean I don't mean to along, you're nothing like that.
- 45:10Speaker 1: But let me see what. Well, here's the situation. My
- 45:15Speaker 1: daughter actually goes to middle school along along with with
- 45:19Speaker 1: your daughter. Okay, and and it's it's a bit of
- 45:23Speaker 1: a problem that that that has arisen that me and
- 45:25Speaker 1: my wife just found out about. Okay, some issues Derek
- 45:29Speaker 1: and your baby in in some kind of like trouble
- 45:32Speaker 1: or something. No, no, no, no, no, nothing like that.
- 45:36Speaker 1: But I think you don't fool with nobody at that school.
- 45:38Speaker 1: She don't mess with nobody. She owned the honor roll
- 45:41Speaker 1: and everything. I don't have no problems out of Dereka, right, Okay,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I no, call me, let me know. Let me tell you,
- 45:49Speaker 1: miss miss Patricia, what's the problem is. See, my daughter
- 45:52Speaker 1: name is Dereka. Okay, so, and and it just blew
- 45:57Speaker 1: me and my wife away that it was another Dereka
- 46:00Speaker 1: that went to the school. Okay, all right, I don't
- 46:03Speaker 1: know too many Derecas. That's a unique name. That's cute, okay,
- 46:06Speaker 1: right right, Well here's the problem me and my wife Actually,
- 46:10Speaker 1: you know, when it was time to name my child,
- 46:12Speaker 1: we thought we was really picking a name that nobody
- 46:15Speaker 1: would have a tick out for their daughter. And to
- 46:18Speaker 1: have another Dereka in the school that blew us away.
- 46:21Speaker 1: And I guess the real reason why I'm trying to
- 46:24Speaker 1: call you, miss Patricia, see if if if there's something
- 46:27Speaker 1: maybe we can work out, you know, maybe uh like
- 46:30Speaker 1: your Dereka does middle name or nickname she can be
- 46:35Speaker 1: called by in opposed to both of them being Derek.
- 46:38Speaker 1: You really want our child to be the only one
- 46:41Speaker 1: with this name? Okay? Wait wait wait wait now you
- 46:45Speaker 1: calling me? Are you asking me to change my baby's name? Well,
- 46:48Speaker 1: I mean you you ain't really got to legally change
- 46:50Speaker 1: I mean, but just start calling us something else, you know. No, No,
- 46:54Speaker 1: wait a minute, so you naming police or something? Do
- 46:57Speaker 1: you know how many? And Luke this and Patricia's out
- 47:01Speaker 1: there what if I ask everybody in the United States
- 47:04Speaker 1: to change their name from Patricia, you know how crazy
- 47:06Speaker 1: that is. And I understand that you must be on drugs.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Not what I'm trying to say is you know this,
- 47:12Speaker 1: This is something that we really have. Our baby girl
- 47:14Speaker 1: was this name, and we didn't want nobody else to
- 47:16Speaker 1: have this. So does your Dereca a middle name? She
- 47:19Speaker 1: can you? No, we're gonna call her Dereka like we've
- 47:22Speaker 1: been calling your name, your baby d D. Let's call
- 47:25Speaker 1: your baby d D. Did you change y'all? Y'all change
- 47:27Speaker 1: y'all baby name at the school. I'm not calling I'm
- 47:30Speaker 1: not calling my name. I don't give me what you
- 47:32Speaker 1: call it, but I'm not changing my baby name. Hey, listen, Okay, Look,
- 47:36Speaker 1: I'm trying to call you and handle us like adults,
- 47:39Speaker 1: you know, but you've seen to see you're gonna push
- 47:41Speaker 1: my front to take me to another level. Obviously, you
- 47:43Speaker 1: ain't calling me trying to handle us. It doesn't ask
- 47:45Speaker 1: me to change my baby name, call my baby something
- 47:48Speaker 1: else at the school, because y'all want your baby name
- 47:50Speaker 1: to be Derek, and the only Dereka in the school.
- 47:52Speaker 1: He you have many other kids at the damn school
- 47:54Speaker 1: got the same name. I understand that, but from my
- 47:58Speaker 1: baby girls, it ain't schools to be like that. Well,
- 48:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm spy gonna baby go and your wife,
- 48:04Speaker 1: but you know I'm not changing my beady damn name. Now.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'll call y'all baby. Do you know what I'm trying
- 48:10Speaker 1: to do is get it rectified that we can call
- 48:13Speaker 1: you get my phone number. I'm not a school. Ain't
- 48:16Speaker 1: good you my number. I got your number. Don't worry
- 48:18Speaker 1: about how I got it. The problem is that what
- 48:20Speaker 1: we're talking about right now is call we what can
- 48:22Speaker 1: we start calling your child? I don't give it. I
- 48:25Speaker 1: know that school ain't called you damn number. Listen, man,
- 48:29Speaker 1: all I'm trying to do is thig out what can
- 48:31Speaker 1: we start calling your daughter? Don't the cut less she's
- 48:34Speaker 1: been doing called you and your wife got need to
- 48:36Speaker 1: go down to the statistics office and get your baby name.
- 48:40Speaker 1: I kind you have to sum out to kind of
- 48:42Speaker 1: name beha, but my day to keep the same day name.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. I've been trying to

- 48:50Speaker 1: are firing something else to call on. And I'm gonna go.
- 48:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna get all that you know, dum number, How
- 48:55Speaker 1: do you get my n Don't worry about how I
- 48:57Speaker 1: got the number. Listen to what I'm trying to tell you.
- 49:00Speaker 1: If you don't find another name, I'm gonna start getting

- 53:51Speaker 1: the kids. Woo all right, let's get into this one.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I am forty two. I'm a forty
- 53:59Speaker 1: two year old married woman and I've been married for
- 54:02Speaker 1: four years. I have two children from my first marriage,
- 54:06Speaker 1: and he came with four children from his first marriage.
- 54:09Speaker 1: A month ago, we celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary and
- 54:14Speaker 1: I found out that he had a girlfriend for as
- 54:16Speaker 1: long as I've been married, as long as we've been married.
- 54:19Speaker 1: She called him early on the morning of our anniversary,
- 54:23Speaker 1: and I answered, since he was putting out the trash.
- 54:26Speaker 1: The number was stored as Damien, so I thought it
- 54:29Speaker 1: might be one of his co workers. It was a
- 54:32Speaker 1: woman on the phone, and she said, good morning, babe,
- 54:35Speaker 1: what time will you be here? I responded, and she
- 54:40Speaker 1: was startled to hear my voice, but she called me
- 54:42Speaker 1: by my name. She said it was her daughter's third birthday,
- 54:45Speaker 1: and I asked whose daughter. She poured out her heart
- 54:49Speaker 1: to me and said she has two children by my husband,
- 54:53Speaker 1: a three year old and a one year old. Her
- 54:57Speaker 1: voice sounded from Milliar and I asked her name, and
- 55:00Speaker 1: she said, we go to the same hairstylist, but we
- 55:03Speaker 1: have never met. I told her to wait till my
- 55:06Speaker 1: husband came back in so he could clear things up.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I had her own speakerphone, and he was shot to
- 55:12Speaker 1: walk in and hear her voice. I asked if he
- 55:15Speaker 1: really was the father of her children, and he said, yes,
- 55:19Speaker 1: he's done two D an a test to prove it.
- 55:22Speaker 1: He sat on the bed next to me and took
- 55:24Speaker 1: the phone from me. We cried together, and he asked
- 55:28Speaker 1: me to forgive him. Since that day, I've met as
- 55:32Speaker 1: other two kids, which gives us a total of eight children.
- 55:36Speaker 1: D has planned to move away for a while and
- 55:39Speaker 1: asked us to keep the kids. I'm barely dealing with
- 55:42Speaker 1: the affair, and now I have to raise his outside children.
- 55:46Speaker 1: My husband keeps saying he chose to marry me and
- 55:49Speaker 1: not her. What do I do in this situation? Please help? Okay,
- 55:54Speaker 1: first of all, you say, no, okay, no, you're not
- 55:58Speaker 1: taking care of anyone's kid. Uh. This woman has a
- 56:02Speaker 1: lot of nerve. I mean, she has to be slightly
- 56:05Speaker 1: out of her mind. I'm thinking because she can keep
- 56:08Speaker 1: her own kids. I know she didn't think you would
- 56:12Speaker 1: be babysitting the kids when she was sleeping with your husband.
- 56:16Speaker 1: You think just because you forgave him doesn't mean you
- 56:19Speaker 1: have to stay with him. So what you guys cried together?
- 56:23Speaker 1: What else could he do in that moment? Okay? What
- 56:26Speaker 1: else could he do? He was busted? Yeah? Cry, that's good.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Let's go there, and um, don't you you know, look,
- 56:34Speaker 1: don't you go feeling all sorry for your husband and
- 56:37Speaker 1: you know, getting soft on him. He cheated on you.
- 56:40Speaker 1: He cheated. Uh. Inside, he was probably praying you didn't
- 56:44Speaker 1: kill him in his sleep when he when you guys
- 56:47Speaker 1: were crying together, and that's why he cried. That's that's
- 56:55Speaker 1: why he cried. He was scared. Okay, he made not one,
- 56:59Speaker 1: but two kids with this woman. Was he crying then?
- 57:03Speaker 1: Maybe in ecstasy? Stop feeling like you have to do something.
- 57:07Speaker 1: You've asked us, what do you do? He said? He
- 57:10Speaker 1: chose to marry you, Okay, he also chose to cheat
- 57:13Speaker 1: and have two kids with this woman who goes to
- 57:15Speaker 1: the same stylist as you, so you know she knows
- 57:19Speaker 1: all about you, your husband, the girlfriend, and the kids.
- 57:22Speaker 1: The girlfriend doesn't need to go anywhere talking about she
- 57:26Speaker 1: needs to move away for a little while. No, you
- 57:28Speaker 1: make her stay right here and deal with her own kids.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You take your kids and leave them. Steve subject me,
- 57:37Speaker 1: my husband, the girlfriend and the kids. This letter should
- 57:43Speaker 1: read like I said in the promo, me my husband,
- 57:47Speaker 1: the girlfriend and the kids. The police, the hospital, child
- 57:52Speaker 1: protective services, and the coroner. Oh wow, all this need
- 57:57Speaker 1: to be in this letter. Ladies forty two been married
- 58:02Speaker 1: four years, got two children from her first marriage. He
- 58:06Speaker 1: came with four children from his first marriage. And a
- 58:10Speaker 1: month ago they celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. So that
- 58:13Speaker 1: means you all don't have any children together. You got
- 58:17Speaker 1: two before and he had four before, and fourth you
- 58:24Speaker 1: celebrate your fourth and and you found out that he's
- 58:26Speaker 1: got a girlfriend for as long as y'all been married.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Now here's what happened. She called him early on the
- 58:32Speaker 1: morning of our anniversary. I answered the phone. Why because
- 58:36Speaker 1: he was putting out the trash. The number was stored
- 58:39Speaker 1: as Damien, so I thought it might be one of
- 58:42Speaker 1: his co workers. It turned out as a woman on
- 58:44Speaker 1: the phone. She said, good morning, babe, what time would
- 58:47Speaker 1: you be here? What? And I responded that she was
- 58:51Speaker 1: startled to hear your voice. But she called you by
- 58:54Speaker 1: your name and said it was their daughter's third birthday,
- 58:58Speaker 1: and I asked, whose daughter? And that's when she poured
- 59:01Speaker 1: out a heart. Now let's stop right here. You didn't
- 59:04Speaker 1: had this man, didn't had an affair three years ago,
- 59:09Speaker 1: which was mean that the baby was they was had,
- 59:12Speaker 1: making the baby or nine months ten months before that,
- 59:16Speaker 1: and they had this baby on the same day as
- 59:20Speaker 1: your anniversary. That's ironic, man. And so now he asked her,
- 59:28Speaker 1: good morning, baby, what time will you be coming by here? Now,
- 59:33Speaker 1: I don't know how he was gonna played a birthday
- 59:39Speaker 1: and the anniversary. God dog, Now she expected him over
- 59:47Speaker 1: the Hey, baby, what time would you be here? What
- 59:50Speaker 1: he finn to tell his wife on anniversary that he
- 59:54Speaker 1: finn to go and he got a baby's birthday. Boy,
- 59:58Speaker 1: this is ugly. When he come back, he gets ugly up. Yeah,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: we'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject me, my husband,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: the girlfriend, and the kids will get back into it
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, let's recap today
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Strawberry letters Steve the subject to me, my husband, the girlfriend,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: and the kids. Yeah, this lady's married to this man
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: for four years. Come to find out he didn't had
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: a girlfriend the whole time, and she's pregnant. She has
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: a three year old by him, and on one year old.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: We don't even got to the one year old. Yah.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: And she called the man's house while he was out
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: taking the trash out, and the wife picked up the
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: phone because it was listed under Damien. She thought it
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: was one of the co workers and it was a
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: woman on the phone and the baby. She has to
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the phone and say good morning, babe, what time will
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: you be here? And then the lady answered the phone
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: and says she was starting to hear my voice, but
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: she called me by my name. She said it was
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: a daughter's third birthday. I asked whose daughter. She poured
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: out a heart to me. She has two children by
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: my husband, a three year old and a one year old.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I don't know how he was gonna play this birthday
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: in the anniversary. Lord Jesus, I wish you to put
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: that in this letter. Her voice sounded familiar, and I
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: asked her her real name, and she said, we go
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: to the same hairstyles, but we've never met. Now she's
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: fully aware of you, you haven't been aware of her.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I told her to wait till my husband came back
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: in so he could clear things up, because undoubtedly this
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: woman is doubting that this woman got the right man.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: You tell me what y'all got a baby. I had
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: her own speaker phone. He was shocked to walk in
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and hear her voice, Lady, lady, shocked is an understatement.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Shocked ain't what he wore. I'm gonna tell you. Man
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: on the inside of him his head, that was a
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: cherry bomb. Him made it explosion. I mean his whole
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: brain liquefied and was running around his head loose. He
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: was not shocked. This was his brain sounded like when
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: he walked in and herd heard you talking to her.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: That's how scramble it was. The people was running around
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: in his head having a riot. He didn't know what
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: it was that type of noise, so then pants couldn't
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: have been cleaned up. It happened to him, and then
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: he was shocked to hear her voice. Understatement. I asked
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: if he really was the father of the children. He
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: on speaker phone. He got to say yes, yes, and
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: he's done two DNA taste to prove him. He sat
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: on the bed next to me and took the phone
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: from me. Let me get this health of office first. Baby.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: He gave him a little bit of relief to have
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: the phone. It's just a little bit. It wasn't much,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: but it was just And then we cried together, cares
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't have gave a damn about together. But I
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: showed would have been crying though, yeah, what else I
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: would I wouldn't. It wouldn't have mattered to me if
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: you joined in or not. I'm crying. He was, and
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: he asked me to forgive him. Well, now a lot
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: of time has occurred because she went from he asked
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: me to forgive him too. Since that day, I met
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: his other two kids. That's a three year old and
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: a one year old, which gives us a tot of
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: eight kids. Here where the letter gets stupid, D that
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: is the health of name. Girlfriend D has planned to
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: move away for a while, and she asks us to
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: keep your kids? What? Who? WHA? What D going? D?
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: D sounds like she find to go get a fresh
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: start stress D find to get some of this stress
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: off of her. D been tired of living this lie.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: And now that's why she just poured her heart out
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: because she was tired of holding this and now you're
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: on the phone, let me let this go. And now
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: since how to let it go, let me go get
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: me a fresh start, y'all keep these kids for me
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: because I need to go start over. I need to
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: find me a new life somewhere now helpful. And then
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: she said D has planned to move away for a
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: while and ask us to keep the kids. What you
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: mean a while? The hell is a wild You're gonna
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: see your sister for a week and you coming back?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: What the hell is a while? I'm barely dealing with
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: the affair, and now I have to raise his outside children. No,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: you don't. No, And wait a minute, how do D
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: get to get the break? Exactly D did? D did
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: the D? Now she get the breaks? My husband keeps
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: saying he chose to marry me and not her. That
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: ain't no consolation prize. You can't tell him. Yeah, I
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: would rather you married her and asked me to be
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the sideline chick. Let me make that decision. But no,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you married me, got me thinking I got something, not
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: come to find out you got a sideline chick. So
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you want to know what you should do the kid?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: First of all, the kids have no blame in this.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: My question you is are you gonna forgive him? I'm
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: not keeping him. I can't tell you what to do.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Do you want to remain in this marriage? And only
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: you can answer that question. I'm not gonna tell you
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: leave him, because it don't sound like you planning on
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: doing that. Now, I've been deep in living this lie
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: and needs a break. And she sounds like she couldn't
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: wait to stop hiding hook kids. And I don't know
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: how long he didn't hear a three year old in
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: the one year old. It's hard to hide two kids.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: You knew everybody at the salon knows about it. Oh
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: that's what I was gonna say. The half styles got yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: You voice from being under the damn head drive talking
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Check
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on to Man coming up
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: with forty six minutes after Sports Talk with Junior. Right
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Stry Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Junior is here with Sports Talk. What you got, Junior?
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: What is going on with Scottie Pippen? Oh my god?
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: What Scottie's out here rattlers and feathers people. Now he
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: has a book coming out. Okay, I take that in mind.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: He has a book coming out called Unguarded. Now, in
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: this book, Scottie Pippen says that Phil Jackson was a racist. Now,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I've never heard that about Phil Jackson. You ain't never
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: heard nothing. And this is how he got to the conclusion.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: It was a game against the Knicks. Well, Scotty Scottie
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Pippen was on the sideline with Tony Kukoch. They over
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: in the huddle and Phil Jackson dropped the play for
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Tony Kukoach to hit the game winning shot and not
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Scottie Pippen. Pippin took itself out the game and then
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Tony Kukos goes out hit the shot. Now where in
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: there is the racist He picked the white man to shoot. Okay,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: that I thought this was basketball. That's what I thought
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: this was. He didn't call you no names or nothing.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: This is about the least racist thing I can see. Yeah,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that's how he got to scott Yeah, weigh too much
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: other stuff going on, man, I mean, and this is
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: this is the crazy part. Then he says he was
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: not giving enough credit that Michael Jordan was not the
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: real leader in the locker room. He was and he
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: didn't get any respect from the organization or the press.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Now this he got a book coming out, but we're
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: not gonna sell this. Saw the move the documentary, the
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: documentary I saw that damn show looked like the leader
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: in the movie all the way through. So I don't
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: know what he's come on, Scotti. This is not a
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: good look, man, I mean he going out to everybody.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Kevin Durant said, Kevin Durant can't win the championship without
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: any help. That this is kind of ironic. Yeah, I
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: don't know what. I don't know what Scotta talking about.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: I mean, you did have Michael Jordan. I don't know
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: what ever, I got your six ring when Jordan retired
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: from him two years? Where was you at? Yeah, since
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: we talked about leader, Scotty, I mean, you had two
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: years to get one, you didn't. He came back, you
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: got three more. Sound like you need Jordan. That's that's
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: That's just what I think happened. I think Scottie was
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: writing a book. I think Scotty could have made some
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: off color remarks, but I don't really see how he
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: could have thought he could print that in the book interview.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I believe, Yeah, he wants to sell a lot of books.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: He got to be. That's all this could be fault
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: because I don't I don't know why you'd make that comment, man,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: I mean, like you said, we saw it now, we
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: saw one. Now we saw, we saw when you didn't
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: about Michael Jordan to see what the rest of y'all
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: was in there? All right, thank you Junior. Coming up
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Are your twenties really
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: the best years of your life? Think about that. We'll
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to the show, Well,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: some people would love to go back to relive their twenties.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: You hear people talking about that all the time. Were
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: those years really really the best time of your life? Um? Well,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: according to a new pole not everyone thinks, so I
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: knew you. GOV survey asked Americans what are the best
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: years of your life? Twenty four percent of people do
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: believe that they're twenties were the best time in their life,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: but almost an equal amount say their best years were
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: between thirty and thirty nine. So I got to ask you, Stephen,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: the guys, what years would you say were the best
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: years of your life? And why? And if you could
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: what and if you could relive any age, what would it,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: what would it be? And why? I go back to
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: sixty four because last year, right, your best year. That's
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: now I'm gonna go right on back sixty four. I'm
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: not going back damn twenties an I had every major
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: failure is that when you were homeless in your twenties
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: and I was just started at thirty dude, married, flunked
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: out of school, lost a bunch of jobs, didn't have
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: my sugar honey iced tea together. Now, them twenties was
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: brutal for me. Man, I learned a lot in them twinnies. Huh, No,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: best the best years. The Bible promised me that, though said,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: if you honor me, your latter days will be greater.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: And that's that's what I'm living. I'm living my best
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: life now. So okay, yeah, what about you junior two
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: thousand and eleven and owned the whole? Were you then though?
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Thirty three and up until now? Yeah? Yeah, that's the
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: day I got the call to come work for Uncle
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Steve on this morning show. Best this damn decision and
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: day moving forward, I'm going I'm not going back to
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: mount twinnies. I was starting comedy. I was a horrible
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: at it. I wouldn't moving then, I wouldn't getting the
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: work done, and I had no family support. You couldn't
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: go back to nobody house. I'm grateful to God for
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: right now today. As a matter of fact, this morning
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: best day of my life. Did they think it was
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: a stupid career to get into? What do you mean? Yeah?
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: Surely every time you call over there for how much
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: money we make today, mister comedian? Oh, I love your family.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: They keep it. Don't say though, don't say back. What
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: about you, nephew? What about mid forties? And up? Okay up?
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Not your twenty Oh no, no, I supposed die fold
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: times in twenty Oh my god, I supposed to be
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: up here, so die four TIMEO go went to jail
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: for three times? New that was it when it was rough.
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: So what's so good about your mid forties till now?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: A lot more focused, you know. Calm down one, calm
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: down us me. Yeah, wait a minute, Oh this is
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: a new slash. Okay, you're calm now the hot hat

- 1:13:06Speaker 1: welcome because you very well. There's no way, no way, tommy,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: my twenties. I was snapping right on all. Let's get
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: it cracking. We fight right here right now in the church.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I don't care. Let's go. You and your uncle are
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: similar in that you both like to fight. No, I'm
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: not like to, but you know, if we got to
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: your rise to the occasion, Yeah, ain't run. I definitely
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: don't want to, definitely don't want to. But I'm not
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: standing here. Why are you just whooping on me? That
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: my favorite last ye? Why? Why are you kicking my ass?
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: What is I'm puposed to? Just tell me what it
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: is I'm supposed to be going. You gotta fight back, right, bro,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: I ain't here for that. I just want to know
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: our role we are imposing for this picture, right. I

- 1:17:21Speaker 1: My in laws, who are in their eighties, both of
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: them that their nurse gave them COVID. The doctor said,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: thank god you all had the vaccinated. This could have
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: been really bad. They suffered hardly any symptoms at all.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Good news. I mean at best. At best, my mother
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: in law had a little cold, but my father in
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: law and they have pre existing conditions, so I thank
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: God for the vaccination because it would have been bad
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: for them. Yeah, that's what the time hall meeting is for.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Educate yourself about it. You know that's right. My crazy
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: ass sister won't take not not moan. Yeah, I don't
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: want to take no shot. Okay, stay your ass at
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: the house, Steve. No, no, you got to stay your
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: ass at the house. Now. I want to go out,
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: but I'm scared to go out. So she just at
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the house. There ain't no problems. You stay at the house.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: But you know, it's like you know, you do understand. Yeah,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: it's like a weight come off your shoulder. And once
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: you get vaccinated, like I felt relieved when I leave. Yeah,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I'm telling you know. I mean I lost four friends
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: in COVID, so you know, real COVID. Yeah, four and
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: couldn't go to their funerals because it's only ten people allowed.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: You know, So you know that was a personal reason
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: why I got vaccinated. You know, not a reason why,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: but that was a big one. Four friends, good friends. No,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: nobody got see everything now, and then people I just
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: talked to, you know, people just talk to. Yeah, hit home,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: like a lot of people listening to us right now,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: lost loved one and friends. I lost a couple, a
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: couple of people I knew, not close friends, but some
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: people I knew. Definitely I lost him. Yeah, I think
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: some really really close calls with some too. So everyone
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: knows someone who's been touched by COVID in some way,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: for sure, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, coming up, it is
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and at forty nine
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll have some closing remarks from
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: our fabulous, wonderful leader, our fearless leader, mister Steve Harvey.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Right after this you're listening show. All right, here we are, guys,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: our last break of the day. It's been a pretty
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: good day. Uh yeah, I think so. Yeah. Yes, and
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: short week, well not short week, but the holiday, the holiday,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: thank you. We're in vacation mode. I think, get out
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: of here so I can get out to this golf
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: tournament today and tomorrow. You know, you know, I wanted
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: to talk about something because I was Sunday, my closing
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: remarks of Sunday. I watched two sermons on computer Sunday.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: That's I do that often, don't, not just Sundays. But
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: you know, whenever I'm doing my meditation, sometimes I decide.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I was watching a sermon by Joel Oldstein and I
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: was I was thinking about some things after he got through,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: and I thought about something that I've changed in my
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: thought process that has helped me a great deal. I'm
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: gonna try to share it with you. It may not
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: be crystal clear to some people. Some people may get
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: it because they may not understand where I'm coming from.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: But you know, I don't worry like I used to.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: And I know I'm not talking about that saying where
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: if you're gonna pray about it, don't worry about it,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: and if you're gonna weary about it, don't pray about it.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I'm not talking about that because I've been saying that
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: for years and been wearying anyway. I'm talking about really,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: what I've really grown to understand about wary and my future.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: And I know it's only human nature to be concerned
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: about your future, try to figure out your next move
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: and what you're gonna do. Now, that's human nature, and
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: I've been extremely guilty of that. I mean, i spend
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: a great deal of time thinking about my future. My
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: next move, I would even took it so far, was
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: I would set a goal and then I would go
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: about the goal with the idea of how I thought
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: the goal should be accomplished. Now that's human nature also correct.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: But as I've grown older, I've found out that, Steve,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: you have to not only have your goals and the
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: things you want in life, and you have to have
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: a plan, but you have to open up your plan also,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: mister Harvey, to the will of God. That has been
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: the key for me of late, and I really started
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: gathering this during the pandemic. See, sitting down during the
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: pandemic got me really, really in a better place with
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: my spirituality because it made me understand it a lot better.
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: I mean just a lot better, you know. So I
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: was I was. I was sitting there and I thought
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: about all the times that I worried about different things,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: you know. But what I had to come to terms
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: with was as I planned my life and I ordered
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: to and I wrote down the steps I thought it
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: should go, the key that I was missing was I failed.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I failed to incorporate God's will, and that right there
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: would cause me because God gives us the power of choice,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: and God allows us, as the creatures that he created,
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: to make decisions, he has to allow me to make
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: those decisions. Just like I could decide to use God's will,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: I can also decide to do it my way. So
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: in doing it my way, I found that I was
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: working against myself sometime because He had to go ahead
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: and let my will exist because that's the power of
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: my choice, and then I have to work back through
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: it later when I found out God really wanted me
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: to do something else. I don't know if I'm explaining
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: this right, and I knew I was gonna have a
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: struggle with it because I don't have the quite the
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: order of it in my head. But if you could
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: stay with me for just a second, I'm gonna clean
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: it up for you. If what I was working on
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: and what I was planning on was not exactly the
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: will of God, and he would have done it another way.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Me going about it doing it my way was getting
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: in the way of his way, and it was delaying
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: the blessing, and it was causing me to take the
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: long way round. Does that make better sense? Yes, sir? Okay? Cool?
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: So what I had to stop doing was. I had
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to stop making these concrete plans and setting it out
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: there so rigid. This is how I want to go,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: and then I want this step in that way. So
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: now when I make a plan and I have an
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: idea and I put it on my vision board, I
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: always say, God, give me the understanding to know what
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: your wheel is and your way is, to help me
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: better understand the way you want me to do it,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: and give it to me in the time and the
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: fashion you got set up for me. And I got
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: out the way. And once I got out the way, y'all,
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: it made the worrying go out the window, because now
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: I don't have to worry about should I call this
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: person and order this? Should I call that person and
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: see if I can get him to see it this way? Nah? Man,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: I ask God for it. I put it out there.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: I made a plan, but I opened it up to
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: the will of God. And I gotta tell y'all something, man,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: It has changed the wary factor because now that I
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: know that God is always working on my behalf and
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: always working on your behalf, just like he always has.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: I just had to get out the way so I
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: could allow him to do it his way, because it's
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: only gonna happen in a certain amount of in due time. Anyway,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: It's not gonna always happen when you want it to anyway.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: Have you heard somebody say, if you want something bad enough,
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: it had happened. Do you know how untrue that is?
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: You know how many things I've really wanted and never
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: got that ain't true. You can want it all you want,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: but if you could learn to put it into God's will,
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you would be amazed how you could get it, and
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: you could get it in a way that he wants
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: you to have it, and he fixed it up in
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: a way. What can nobody take it from you? And
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: it causes you not to worry anymore. And that's the
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: thing I've come to. They'll try to better explain it
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: again tomorrow. Maybe, Buddy, I hope you've got something for it.
