- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show. How
- 2:11Speaker 1: good is God? Hum? Think about it? Just take a
- 2:13Speaker 1: slight inventory of your own life and say it to
- 2:16Speaker 1: yourself when you get through, how good is God? Think
- 2:19Speaker 1: of all the small things, all this because that's him.
- 2:22Speaker 1: You breathe, that's him. You steal him. That's him. You
- 2:27Speaker 1: got another chance? That's him. You ain't out of here.
- 2:31Speaker 1: That's him. You got any measure of health, that's him.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You think it's more to it than it really is,
- 2:37Speaker 1: that it already showed up to be. That's him. All
- 2:40Speaker 1: of that. You got any dreams or aspirations you dream
- 2:44Speaker 1: of other things, that's him. All that, that's him, that's him,
- 2:48Speaker 1: him close, you got that's him. Every time you eat.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That's why they had this thing called you say your grace.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's him. That's him, man, that's him. It's amazing when
- 2:58Speaker 1: you take a small inventory how you find out how
- 3:00Speaker 1: big God really is in your life. Now, the more
- 3:03Speaker 1: you turn yourself over to him, the bigger he can be.
- 3:06Speaker 1: For you. See, he'll only be as big as you
- 3:08Speaker 1: let him. It's one thing about God. Now, he's a gentleman.
- 3:12Speaker 1: He can make you do anything. You know, you get
- 3:16Speaker 1: too big for him. You know you you you, you
- 3:19Speaker 1: lose your humbleness. He can humble you. Now. God created
- 3:24Speaker 1: man with the power of choice. We're the only creature
- 3:30Speaker 1: he created that. He gave us the total power of
- 3:32Speaker 1: choice when we made who we mate with. You know everything,
- 3:37Speaker 1: all of it. Man. It's the choice what we want
- 3:40Speaker 1: to be, how much you want to make, Where we
- 3:42Speaker 1: want to live, what climate we want to live in.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We can live in cold climates, high climates. You know,
- 3:47Speaker 1: we speak different languages. You can go learn another language.
- 3:52Speaker 1: A bear can't do nothing but be a bar He
- 3:57Speaker 1: can't go learn how to be a fox. He ain't
- 4:00Speaker 1: go learn how to be an artor. He just can't.
- 4:03Speaker 1: An ostrich is an ostrich man. He can't come out
- 4:05Speaker 1: of here and fight like a lion. A lion is
- 4:08Speaker 1: a lion. A lion eat meat. He can't eat vegetables.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I don't care how much meat ain't around. He'll lay
- 4:15Speaker 1: down and pull up out of here and die because
- 4:17Speaker 1: he can't eat grass. He just a lion. Man. You
- 4:21Speaker 1: understand this that God gave us. We are the one
- 4:25Speaker 1: creature he created that has total power of choice. You
- 4:28Speaker 1: can make every decision in your life. What kind of
- 4:31Speaker 1: watch you like? That's the one you can buy. You
- 4:34Speaker 1: want to live in Switzerland, go ahead. You don't like Switzerland,
- 4:39Speaker 1: you can move to Miami. You want to live your
- 4:42Speaker 1: life a crime, go ahead, that's you. He gave you
- 4:46Speaker 1: the power of choice. You want to do right? Come on,
- 4:50Speaker 1: So now look at this thing. We are all the
- 4:55Speaker 1: results of a series of decision that we have made.
- 5:02Speaker 1: If we could just identify that the problem is us,
- 5:07Speaker 1: we could began the solution. See that's the problem, y'all,
- 5:12Speaker 1: it's us. It's what we do. I threw my life
- 5:16Speaker 1: down the hill. I can't tell you how many years
- 5:20Speaker 1: based on some decisions that I was making. Now I
- 5:22Speaker 1: can justify my decision with I wasn't happy and I
- 5:25Speaker 1: was doing this and I was in misery, and y'all
- 5:28Speaker 1: on that, yes to you when you get through. You
- 5:30Speaker 1: made the decisions though, and you can look at this
- 5:33Speaker 1: anywhere you want to, y'all. But at the end of
- 5:35Speaker 1: the day, I'm just talking to people that's really really
- 5:37Speaker 1: wanting to improve their position in life. And how do
- 5:41Speaker 1: you do that? You got to have a solution. How
- 5:45Speaker 1: do you come up with a solution? You got to
- 5:47Speaker 1: identify the problem to even began to solve it. But
- 5:54Speaker 1: if the problem ain't ever you, how are you gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: solve something that ain't you? See? Okay, let me look
- 6:04Speaker 1: at this one. If somebody said, like I got a
- 6:08Speaker 1: child of mine, man, I just do right here. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't even gonna get into it this morning, or
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'm struggling with this this boy. But man, you go
- 6:17Speaker 1: to people, you ask them why they do so. I
- 6:20Speaker 1: just I just wasn't taking care of business. Why I
- 6:24Speaker 1: just didn't take care of business? Boy, do you understand
- 6:28Speaker 1: that your life is gonna be filled with you got
- 6:30Speaker 1: to take care of business. So when you're gonna start,
- 6:34Speaker 1: you know, man, you can't. You can't. You can't go
- 6:37Speaker 1: through life blaming everybody. It's got to be you. See,
- 6:41Speaker 1: you can fix you. You can't fix nobody else if
- 6:44Speaker 1: you keep getting married and the marriages don't work. Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 6:49Speaker 1: could it be you? South finally had to sit down
- 6:53Speaker 1: and just make that decision. They don't need me coming
- 6:55Speaker 1: on the radio talking about nobody else and what they
- 6:58Speaker 1: did to me, and y'all just don't know. No, no, no, man,
- 7:01Speaker 1: what about the part you played in it? Because see,
- 7:04Speaker 1: if you got a good marriage, you got a part
- 7:06Speaker 1: to play in that. If you got a bad one,
- 7:08Speaker 1: you got a part to play in that. Even if
- 7:12Speaker 1: it just get down to you the one pick them,
- 7:14Speaker 1: how about that? Mister? Mister, I made a decision. The
- 7:18Speaker 1: problem is usually within yourself. Do you know that's the quickest,
- 7:22Speaker 1: an easy way to fix your life. That way, you
- 7:25Speaker 1: ain't got to check with nobody. Here's the beauty of
- 7:27Speaker 1: going on and admitting that is you. You don't have
- 7:31Speaker 1: to check or clear it with nobody to start the
- 7:34Speaker 1: repair process. You don't need anybody's permission. You ain't got
- 7:39Speaker 1: to put it before the review board to see if
- 7:41Speaker 1: it'll pass. It ain't got to go through Congress. You
- 7:44Speaker 1: ain't got to hope that your local politician get their
- 7:47Speaker 1: hands on it to make a phone call for you.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You ain't got to ask any counselors to come in
- 7:51Speaker 1: and sit with you. You don't have to check in
- 7:53Speaker 1: the rehab. All you got to do is decide the
- 7:56Speaker 1: problem is me. I'm gonna start changing me. Identify the
- 8:03Speaker 1: problem and start with the part that you can own
- 8:08Speaker 1: up to. Once you identify the problem, you can start
- 8:14Speaker 1: planning on how to fix it or how to get
- 8:16Speaker 1: to accomplishing something. But remember this planning is important. If
- 8:21Speaker 1: you fail to plan, then please plan to fail. If
- 8:27Speaker 1: you don't know how to make a plan, let's just
- 8:30Speaker 1: start with the basics. Just make a list of what
- 8:33Speaker 1: you want. Make this list and then go to God
- 8:38Speaker 1: in prayer with an open mind and open your mind
- 8:43Speaker 1: up to all the clean opportunities that are available here.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Why a lot of people won't succeed because certain opportunities
- 8:52Speaker 1: come along you don't want to do them. That kills me. Man,
- 8:55Speaker 1: when I hear here, I ain't doing that. I know
- 8:58Speaker 1: young comedians that come to me all the time. I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: talking about Man, what you're not saying, Man, just take
- 9:02Speaker 1: every gig you can, no matter what they pay. Well,
- 9:06Speaker 1: listen to me, son, you can go make that money
- 9:10Speaker 1: that they pay, or you can make the decision to
- 9:12Speaker 1: sit at home and make no money. It's a comedy,
- 9:17Speaker 1: a hard business. They ain't paying but one hundred dollars.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You gotta drive, drive fifty miles. But if you drive
- 9:22Speaker 1: fifty miles and you make the hundred, and you stand
- 9:25Speaker 1: on that stage for thirty minutes, you are now thirty
- 9:27Speaker 1: minutes better than you was the last time you went
- 9:30Speaker 1: on stage. Oh, man, I ain't man, they don't pay me,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I ain't coming. You ain't going to be a comedian, man,
- 9:37Speaker 1: not not like this hill. A lot of people just
- 9:41Speaker 1: don't want to do what's necessary to do. So when
- 9:44Speaker 1: the opportunity presents itself and you open up your mind
- 9:47Speaker 1: to it, man, then get ready to go on and
- 9:49Speaker 1: do it. Man, identify your problem today. Start with the
- 9:55Speaker 1: part dash you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, let's be about
- 10:04Speaker 1: it this morning Steve Harvey Morning Show, Alive and whale,
- 10:08Speaker 1: full of energy, fire, functification, and let's trocity and googlatorium
- 10:17Speaker 1: this whoa. You see how I got political right there? Okay, yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 1: now I can't repeat that word because I made it up.
- 10:28Speaker 1: So I don't know where that came from or where
- 10:31Speaker 1: you're gonna put it, but I said it, and that's
- 10:34Speaker 1: what we're gonna do this morning. Good morning, Shirley Strawberry.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve Harvey, serve one and only caller a
- 10:41Speaker 1: for real Good morning Steve. What's up crew, ain't nothing
- 10:47Speaker 1: butter ge thing. June you boy, morning up morning. Everybody
- 10:54Speaker 1: put our foods, you big dog and dog up in here.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Let's get it, let's get after it. Well, first day
- 11:04Speaker 1: back shooting, family feud, first day back back on stateside,
- 11:12Speaker 1: living my Well, how was the audience? Can't you talk
- 11:16Speaker 1: about that? Yeah? They ain't tell Yeah, a little shoe
- 11:25Speaker 1: I walked out down where the hell anybody that they
- 11:31Speaker 1: came in my dressing room out here in LA. They
- 11:33Speaker 1: just say we're gonna be a little thin mister Harvey.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But thank You'll still be able to have a good time.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You know, they just hard to get audience right now. Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you know, that's that's a very real, real situation. And yeoh,
- 11:50Speaker 1: I think it's a lot to that, you know, but
- 11:54Speaker 1: you know people are reacting. You know, they got them,
- 11:56Speaker 1: they got them stirred up. So you know, the pandemic
- 12:00Speaker 1: is real, you know. So I think the panic is
- 12:03Speaker 1: setting in pretty deep. It's affecting a lot of stuff,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know, stock market travel, yes, cruise, ships, islands. You know.
- 12:14Speaker 1: One of the contestants today we were talking all just
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know how you ask them questions, and she was going, well,
- 12:22Speaker 1: me and my husband in August, we're gonna take a
- 12:25Speaker 1: cruise and the whole audience with gas, the whole audience
- 12:31Speaker 1: gas or cruise ship. That's like saying, hey, I'm gonna
- 12:35Speaker 1: sign up and see why I go. Yeah, what you're
- 12:40Speaker 1: not gonna do is get me on the ship. I
- 12:42Speaker 1: think I'm done with the ships. Man, I think I'm
- 12:45Speaker 1: done that. I think I've done. Yeah, that's a great industry. Yeah,
- 12:57Speaker 1: be losing money is what you're sound Hobson Man, Oh,
- 13:01Speaker 1: it's it's a lot that happens, you know. But I
- 13:04Speaker 1: mean the clues cruise line industry was taken a little
- 13:07Speaker 1: bit of a hit anyway from just some of the
- 13:10Speaker 1: other things. But there's some good cruise lines out there
- 13:13Speaker 1: that's really safe and everything. That's just I think the
- 13:16Speaker 1: scale right now is gonna hold some people off for
- 13:19Speaker 1: a minute, you know, and things will balance back out eventually.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I don't know if it's going to be sooner or
- 13:24Speaker 1: later because I don't know where they're going with this thing. Well, Steve,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I mean, we just gotta pray and you know, keep
- 13:31Speaker 1: doing what we can do. Coming up at thirty two
- 13:33Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, it is time Steve for the
- 13:36Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer to come through and take the mic.
- 13:39Speaker 1: He will be here to answer your questions right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening. Time now for the Chief Love Officer. The
- 13:49Speaker 1: clo answering your questions, ready, Steve Reddy. This one is
- 13:56Speaker 1: from Marissa from Greenville, Mississippi. She says, I am twenty
- 14:01Speaker 1: eight years old and I have a twenty nine year
- 14:04Speaker 1: old boyfriend that just might be the perfect man for
- 14:07Speaker 1: me if his breath wasn't so foul. She said, I
- 14:15Speaker 1: prayed for a good man, and I believe this is
- 14:18Speaker 1: who God sent me. But God forgot to fix his
- 14:21Speaker 1: bad breath first. Is this an easy fix? And if so,
- 14:26Speaker 1: how do I tell him without ruining his ego? Well,
- 14:30Speaker 1: you're gonna have to hurt him now. There ain't no
- 14:33Speaker 1: soft way to be. You got bad broth. You know,
- 14:36Speaker 1: it really is really not. He's gonna take a hit,
- 14:39Speaker 1: but it I don't know how long you've been dating him,
- 14:43Speaker 1: but this is something where you can just say, hey, look,
- 14:46Speaker 1: I really really care for you. Oh my god, I
- 14:49Speaker 1: think you're absolutely fabulous. But I want you to just
- 14:52Speaker 1: think about something. Your breath is a little strong. Just
- 14:56Speaker 1: use the word strong. Don't say stink or funk yass,
- 15:00Speaker 1: smell like hot garbage. Don't be in there, you know,
- 15:03Speaker 1: talking about you know, your mouse, smell like you know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: like out do you know out house? Don't I say
- 15:14Speaker 1: I've told some people like that. Hey man, Hey hey,
- 15:18Speaker 1: your breath smell like a sewage pipe. You don't have
- 15:21Speaker 1: to go there. So what you want to do is
- 15:23Speaker 1: you want to say, listen to me, sweetie, I really
- 15:25Speaker 1: care about you and I love you a lot. I
- 15:27Speaker 1: think you're a fabulous guy. I don't know if anybody's
- 15:29Speaker 1: ever told you this, but your breath is a little strong.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Now do do you do? You want me to help
- 15:36Speaker 1: you make a dentist appointment because if you you gotta
- 15:40Speaker 1: get this corrected out because your career, your job. I
- 15:44Speaker 1: don't want anything to happen to you because people may
- 15:46Speaker 1: be talking about you behind your back, as anybody ever
- 15:48Speaker 1: said this to you. Well, now anybody said it to me. Okay,
- 15:51Speaker 1: well I'm saying it to you because I care about you,
- 15:53Speaker 1: and that's the only way you have to be. He's
- 15:56Speaker 1: a man, he'll be Okay, his ego gonna be a
- 15:58Speaker 1: little bit bruised, but his ass gonna get up in
- 16:00Speaker 1: there and start testing his self. A lot of guys,
- 16:03Speaker 1: so most people got bad breath. They don't even know it. Yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I ain't. Nobody got up close enough to tell him
- 16:08Speaker 1: where you can't. I can't say nothing to him because
- 16:11Speaker 1: most people what you're supposed to do. Then if he
- 16:14Speaker 1: really mean I hold on, whoa, whoa. I care about you.
- 16:19Speaker 1: I didn't tell you this to start a fight on
- 16:21Speaker 1: the argument. I told you this to bring us closer together.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I want to be closer to you, and I don't
- 16:27Speaker 1: want nothing coming between us. Right now? What's wrong with
- 16:31Speaker 1: my breath? See you know what you're gonna do now, baby, baby, baby,
- 16:37Speaker 1: how I'll stop with all them ws, all them peace signds,
- 16:41Speaker 1: And you're gonna stop all that pushing out. Why I
- 16:47Speaker 1: got to stop? Why? Because look at my eyebrows. You
- 16:51Speaker 1: see him in my hands. I want him own my face. Okay, sure,
- 16:56Speaker 1: the next question all right, all right, this is from
- 17:00Speaker 1: Dantes from Waco, Texas. Says yeah, Dantes, right, Uncle Steve.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I loaned a young lady I was dating one thousand
- 17:08Speaker 1: dollars about six months ago to help her pay some bills,
- 17:11Speaker 1: and she promised to pay me back. I broke up
- 17:14Speaker 1: with her last month because she is trifling and planning
- 17:18Speaker 1: a trip to Florida with her girls for spring break,
- 17:20Speaker 1: knowing she still owes me money. What kind of advice
- 17:23Speaker 1: can you give me so I can get my money
- 17:26Speaker 1: from this woman? Well, listen to this now. The key
- 17:29Speaker 1: word in this sentence Dantes. What's his name? Yeah, Dantes, Dantes,
- 17:35Speaker 1: you said she's trifling. Now, you tried to help the
- 17:39Speaker 1: woman out by giving her some money for her bills.
- 17:42Speaker 1: She said she'd pay you back, but she didn't already
- 17:45Speaker 1: went on spring break with some friends. She's not gonna
- 17:47Speaker 1: pay you back. Now. You can spend a lot of
- 17:49Speaker 1: time going after this girl and burn a lot of
- 17:53Speaker 1: energy up. All you can do like I do when
- 17:57Speaker 1: people owe me money, I buy them out of my
- 18:00Speaker 1: life and sometimes you just have to purchase them away
- 18:03Speaker 1: from you. Ain't no lesson like a bought lesson, and
- 18:06Speaker 1: you've paid for this lesson. First of all, that's right,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and you've you've given somebody some money who you should
- 18:13Speaker 1: not have trusted. Or now, let's be real to Dante's
- 18:19Speaker 1: you gave her money because you was on it. Yes, sir,
- 18:23Speaker 1: you gave her money because you were sleeping with him. Yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 1: that's why I do it. Yeah, that's why you gave
- 18:31Speaker 1: her money. Yeah yeah, not for real, young junior, old Tom,
- 18:37Speaker 1: That's that's why. Because you were sleeping with him, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: that's why you gave her the money. Now you're not
- 18:43Speaker 1: sleeping with her back and you want the money, But
- 18:45Speaker 1: if you were still sleeping with her, you wouldn't be
- 18:47Speaker 1: sweating about the money. Let's just have this conversation. So
- 18:52Speaker 1: now it's over. Write it off, lost column, don't do
- 18:56Speaker 1: it again. But you're gonna spend a lot of energy
- 18:59Speaker 1: chasing person that you can't track down for money, because
- 19:02Speaker 1: all you got a small claims court and then you
- 19:05Speaker 1: got to have paperwork something that says she was gonna
- 19:07Speaker 1: pay you back that all I promised to pay you back,
- 19:10Speaker 1: as he says, she said, I thought he gave it
- 19:12Speaker 1: to me since we were sleeping together. You don't want
- 19:15Speaker 1: that to be said in court. Okay, let it go done?
- 19:17Speaker 1: All right? All right, Steve, This is from Douglas from Salisbury, Maryland.
- 19:22Speaker 1: It says, I'm a twenty five year old man and
- 19:24Speaker 1: my girlfriend it's fifteen years older than me. Our relationship
- 19:28Speaker 1: is amazing, except for one problem. My girlfriend's daughter wants me.
- 19:32Speaker 1: She is twenty one years old and she's gorgeous. When
- 19:36Speaker 1: I'm over at the house, she will flirt and or
- 19:38Speaker 1: flash her breasts at me when her mom isn't around.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'm getting more and more attempted to see what's up
- 19:44Speaker 1: with my girlfriend's daughter. How can I get this girl
- 19:47Speaker 1: to leave me alone? Steve? Okay, first of all, sir,
- 19:50Speaker 1: let's have a real conversation. You didn't write this letter
- 19:53Speaker 1: to find out how to leave her alone, because you
- 19:55Speaker 1: said you're getting more and more attempted to see what's
- 19:58Speaker 1: up with this girl? Said your your relationship is amazing.
- 20:02Speaker 1: You don't really mean that there's something wrong with it
- 20:05Speaker 1: because you this twenty one year old girl is tempting it.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And the twenty one year old girl don't care for
- 20:09Speaker 1: the relationship and it's her mamma. She trifling. If you
- 20:13Speaker 1: go with her, you're going with a trifling person. But
- 20:19Speaker 1: you tempted because you ain't really sold on your mamma.
- 20:22Speaker 1: You said it's amazing, but it really ain't though. Good
- 20:25Speaker 1: luck Pardner. All right, you can lie to everybody, but

- 21:00Speaker 1: I'll tell nobody else it's right there in the paper
- 21:04Speaker 1: and resemblance at all. And Gail King talked to Oprah
- 21:10Speaker 1: about the backlash. Well, of course she would. That's her
- 21:13Speaker 1: BFF from the Lisa Leslie Kobe Bryant interview. We'll talk
- 21:17Speaker 1: about all of these stories at the top of the hour.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Halle Berry is related to Sarah Palin right now, Hell,
- 21:23Speaker 1: nobody else there ain't eating the same type of fan.
- 21:26Speaker 1: What is the nephew in the building would run that
- 21:31Speaker 1: prank back? What you got for his nap? You gave
- 21:34Speaker 1: wrong directions to my sister's grave. You gave wrong direction
- 21:42Speaker 1: to my sister's grave. Let's go cat dog who thank
- 21:48Speaker 1: you for Carl. My name is Frederick stam Tamra. Let
- 21:55Speaker 1: me see she's any office one moment. Please. It don't
- 21:58Speaker 1: make sense the all ago out there like we didn't
- 22:01Speaker 1: didn't running in the type of problems that Hello, listen,
- 22:06Speaker 1: my name is Fredrick Stimmons. Okay, now, but my sister's
- 22:11Speaker 1: system is buried out there, okay, And we come out
- 22:15Speaker 1: there last week on Monday to come out there and
- 22:18Speaker 1: pray over the space while she yield. Now, you as
- 22:21Speaker 1: the one that told us that it was a few
- 22:24Speaker 1: spaces away from the miso limb. Now we got out
- 22:27Speaker 1: there and prayed over my sister friends as barrel and
- 22:31Speaker 1: find out that we were in the wrong space. Then
- 22:34Speaker 1: they say, you was the one that told it to us.
- 22:37Speaker 1: So I don't even know what you're talking about. You
- 22:39Speaker 1: is the one that told us that my sister friends.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I don't give us spaces. I'm in an administrative office.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I don't know where you work out. All I know
- 22:46Speaker 1: is you was the one that told us this. No, yes,
- 22:50Speaker 1: you did. You was the one that my grandbaby said
- 22:53Speaker 1: that she talked to the woman named Tambor. And you
- 22:56Speaker 1: had us out there standing over some white man's body
- 22:59Speaker 1: and it was out of concert. So I can't tell
- 23:01Speaker 1: you where a space you So your granddaughter lied to you.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Ain't nobody lied. I mean that you had us out
- 23:07Speaker 1: there in the wrong space. I couldn't have had you
- 23:09Speaker 1: in the wrong spaces. I don't even know the semis here.
- 23:12Speaker 1: You know what. I must send my grand baby up
- 23:15Speaker 1: there to talk to you. Okay, I'll be here to five.
- 23:18Speaker 1: You're very miss Javid. You know that I'll be here
- 23:20Speaker 1: to five o'clock. You have a good day. No, you don't.
- 23:23Speaker 1: You hang up this phone on me. You have a
- 23:25Speaker 1: good day. No, I'm not gonna have a good day.
- 23:27Speaker 1: You had me praying over the president's body and it
- 23:31Speaker 1: was the wrong one, and we're sending up praying over
- 23:34Speaker 1: this white man's body. It was right. Hello, I'm listening
- 23:40Speaker 1: to you. You don't have an apology or nothing, because
- 23:43Speaker 1: I know I didn't tell your granddaughter where a space was.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Then what did you tell them? I don't even know
- 23:49Speaker 1: who your granddaughter is. What do you mean the Stamon's
- 23:52Speaker 1: family if we will not, I don't know who the
- 23:54Speaker 1: Semis family is if not Simmon, that Stamons Stamons. I
- 23:59Speaker 1: don't know a sim and family. That's what I'm telling you.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm not a counselor. I don't even deal with family. Here.
- 24:04Speaker 1: What I need you to do? Can you go out
- 24:07Speaker 1: there and pray over my sis the body? I don't
- 24:09Speaker 1: know where your sister is buried. It's supposed to have
- 24:12Speaker 1: been sex mad, away from the mother limb. I don't
- 24:16Speaker 1: are there any faces? Where is it? Where is it
- 24:19Speaker 1: at section two? We was in section two, but there
- 24:23Speaker 1: was some white man we was that. That wasn't my
- 24:26Speaker 1: su prices. Okay, I don't even know who your sister
- 24:30Speaker 1: friends is. I do not even know where section two is.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Whoever came into the cemetery and said that they spoke
- 24:38Speaker 1: to me, They probably did speak to me, and I
- 24:41Speaker 1: probably got the information from a counselorce. But I never
- 24:44Speaker 1: told them exactly where the spot was. So they were
- 24:46Speaker 1: out there praying over your sister and they were in
- 24:49Speaker 1: the wrong spot. That's not my problem. That praying over
- 24:52Speaker 1: some white man. That's not my problem, sir. If you
- 24:55Speaker 1: gave the wrong wrong spot, if you gave the wrong information,
- 24:59Speaker 1: it is I don't give the wrong information. I tell them,
- 25:03Speaker 1: yes she's in section two, that did not physically go
- 25:06Speaker 1: out there and point to the spot to tell them
- 25:08Speaker 1: to pray over that spot. Let me explain what I'm
- 25:11Speaker 1: trying to stop from happening. If my people come out there,
- 25:14Speaker 1: it's gonna be some more bodies getting buried, and I
- 25:17Speaker 1: don't want nobody to get her. I mean, your family
- 25:19Speaker 1: can come up here. It's not gonna be no more
- 25:21Speaker 1: bodies than buried that. What they can do is come
- 25:24Speaker 1: up here writing. We can conversate about this, but it's
- 25:26Speaker 1: not going to be an up world here. I want
- 25:29Speaker 1: you to go out there and you pray over friends
- 25:31Speaker 1: of the body. I'm not going out to pray over
- 25:34Speaker 1: nobody's body now. It's not family. Remember I didn't tell
- 25:38Speaker 1: them the wrong information. Do you love the Lord I
- 25:43Speaker 1: dearly do? Then you ought to have some sepathy. I
- 25:47Speaker 1: want you to bow your head right now. No, I'm
- 25:50Speaker 1: going to end this conversation because all the work to do.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Now come in and trust to me, I will be
- 25:56Speaker 1: hearing some five o'clock. Can I say one more thing
- 25:59Speaker 1: for you? Say one more thing. I'm ending the car
- 26:02Speaker 1: this nephew, Timmy from the Steve Harvard Morning Show. You
- 26:05Speaker 1: just got prank COVID. You are your sister to me
- 26:18Speaker 1: because sets you up and you just got it baby
- 26:23Speaker 1: from nephew Timmy. Well, you were standing your ground. You
- 26:28Speaker 1: like this. Guys, you wouldn't prayed over the wrong bout it.
- 26:31Speaker 1: That don't mean that I ain't all right. Check it out.
- 26:38Speaker 1: You gotta tell me one thing. What's the baddest radio
- 26:41Speaker 1: show in the land. Come on, get the prank of something.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Give the prank of direction to sister. Don't give him,
- 26:50Speaker 1: don't give him. Give me all I need, all that car,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I need the whole land Franks. Yeah, I'm gonna be
- 26:59Speaker 1: straight stupid even more than this comes Saturday tonight. I'm
- 27:02Speaker 1: in the gut baby, Montgomery, Alabama, at the Montgomery Performance.
- 27:07Speaker 1: I don't send a baby. Tickets on sale right now
- 27:08Speaker 1: they almost gone, so you better get it. But it
- 27:11Speaker 1: won't be no more because I will be saying hold
- 27:15Speaker 1: out yes, Montgomery, Alabama. Here I come, laying in the
- 27:18Speaker 1: cut Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington improv I'll be on my way.
- 27:22Speaker 1: It is April Fools night, and all fools are supposed
- 27:26Speaker 1: to work on April fool So I am the head food.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So I'm gonna have some more fools with me, but
- 27:34Speaker 1: come on out and get some of this foolery for
- 27:36Speaker 1: the nephew day Ohio. You're laying in the cut baby
- 27:38Speaker 1: go ahead shirt, all right, thinking nephew coming up at
- 27:41Speaker 1: the top of the hours of entertainment and national news
- 27:44Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Dave Harvey Morning Show. Okay, Well,
- 27:51Speaker 1: after finding out a Republican politician as part of her
- 27:54Speaker 1: family tree, halle Berry said, you can't sit with us
- 27:59Speaker 1: on SAT Today. The Oscar winning actress reacted to a
- 28:03Speaker 1: Twitter thread from Daily Daily Blast Live. Uh. The outlet
- 28:08Speaker 1: was listing off celebrities and politicians that are related to
- 28:12Speaker 1: each other, like Bernie Sanders and Larry David Kerry Washington
- 28:16Speaker 1: and Colin Powell, Hillary Clinton, and Madonna. Also on the
- 28:20Speaker 1: list was Hallie Berry, who was apparently connected somehow to
- 28:25Speaker 1: one time Vice president candidate Sarah Palin. Harry tweeted back,
- 28:29Speaker 1: she may be on the tree, but she ain't invited
- 28:32Speaker 1: to the cookout. Wow, you real? Okay, I can see
- 28:41Speaker 1: Russia from my back yard. That's not coming over here.
- 28:45Speaker 1: That's your careful Yeah, but I really thought we had
- 28:49Speaker 1: let that go, I guess not ye, Yeah, Larry David
- 29:01Speaker 1: and Burges said, is the exact same, the same? Yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 1: it really are campaigning, that's right, it is. You're right
- 29:09Speaker 1: on the money with that one. Yeah. Back to Halle
- 29:15Speaker 1: Barry though, always back to Hallie. How are they? I
- 29:19Speaker 1: wonder how how are they related? That would be great
- 29:22Speaker 1: to find. I hope it's like fourth for fifth cook
- 29:26Speaker 1: being castle rolled at this cook. Yeah, it's so far
- 29:29Speaker 1: down on the tree that it doesn't really count. Yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 1: come over here with this green one more time. I
- 29:36Speaker 1: know this. Health walked in here with some stove top
- 29:38Speaker 1: stuff and that is this. But Hallie doesn't sound like
- 29:49Speaker 1: she's a joke right here. Um, this does not sound
- 29:52Speaker 1: like playing. I love her, So you don't love her
- 29:57Speaker 1: like No, I don't on the plane with her and
- 30:01Speaker 1: you can even speak to her. Yes, I was scared.
- 30:04Speaker 1: That's my scariest moment. It will never happened again. I
- 30:07Speaker 1: better not see you again. What you're gonna do if
- 30:10Speaker 1: you see it? What you say? Hi, I don't know exactly.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I'm nervous. You just don't know what you're gonna do.
- 30:18Speaker 1: You want to happen again? Well? Also an entertainment news guys,
- 30:23Speaker 1: hold hold away, wait, wait, hold up, Shirley Junior. God
- 30:26Speaker 1: ain't gonna do that to me. He ain't gonna let
- 30:28Speaker 1: me meet Hally and my wife there. He ain't gonna
- 30:30Speaker 1: do that to me. Do you think you think you
- 30:37Speaker 1: ain't gonna me? God don't do stuff like that. Well,
- 30:40Speaker 1: I bet she come up all right. Well as I
- 30:46Speaker 1: was saying, uh, scary Tommy, uh. Gil King finally talked
- 30:52Speaker 1: to her b f F Oprah about the whole backlash
- 30:55Speaker 1: she got, you know, with the famous Lisa Leslie interview
- 30:59Speaker 1: concerning Hobe. During Opah's twenty twenty vision tour in Denver.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Gail told Oprah that she has moved on from the backlash,
- 31:08Speaker 1: but there is a scab there. Gail went on to say,
- 31:12Speaker 1: I have put my big girl pants on and my
- 31:14Speaker 1: game face and moved on. Gail also said it was painful,
- 31:18Speaker 1: but a learning curve, So yeah, there you go. Yeah yeah,
- 31:24Speaker 1: So Steve, it's time for today's headlines, ladies and gentlemen,
- 31:28Speaker 1: Miss Ann Tripp, thank you very much, everybody in good morning.
- 31:31Speaker 1: The number of coronavirus cases has continued to climb, while
- 31:35Speaker 1: the stock markets continued to fall. In fact, shares on
- 31:39Speaker 1: Wall Street saw their worst one day sell off yesterday
- 31:42Speaker 1: since the financial crash of two thousand and eight. Officials
- 31:45Speaker 1: say the stock free fall was due to investor's concerns
- 31:48Speaker 1: about the virus, cutting off trade and travel dollars, as
- 31:51Speaker 1: well as a steep drop in the price of oil. Unfortunately,
- 31:55Speaker 1: the number of coronavirus cases has spiked again in Italy,
- 32:00Speaker 1: which has become the hardest hit country outside of China.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Nearly eighteen hundred new cases have been confirmed, bringing the
- 32:06Speaker 1: total number of cases of the COVID nineteen to over
- 32:09Speaker 1: nine thousand, nine thousand, with a death toll at four
- 32:13Speaker 1: hundred and sixty three. The overwhelming majority of the infections
- 32:16Speaker 1: are in Northern Italy, which is pretty much now on lockdown.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Residents of being asked to stay home, public gatherings are banded,
- 32:23Speaker 1: soccer matches even suspended, and free to freedom of movement
- 32:26Speaker 1: basically sharply curtailed in Northern Italy. Meanwhile, the cruise ship
- 32:31Speaker 1: that has been held off the California coast near San Francisco,
- 32:35Speaker 1: the Grand Princess, docked in Oakland yesterday with twenty one
- 32:38Speaker 1: people who tested positive for the coronavirus, and now the
- 32:42Speaker 1: roughly thirty five hundred other people on board and being
- 32:45Speaker 1: off loaded, slowly tested and expected to be quarantined for
- 32:49Speaker 1: the next two weeks, not on board, but on other
- 32:52Speaker 1: places on mainland. Those on board are said to be
- 32:55Speaker 1: from many different states, by the way, and some fifty countries.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Some of them have to be flown back to those countries.
- 33:01Speaker 1: The whole process is expected to take at least another
- 33:04Speaker 1: two days. The next round of primary voting takes place
- 33:08Speaker 1: today in six states, including Idaho, Missouri, Michigan, Washington State,
- 33:13Speaker 1: and Mississippi North Dakota also, but they're doing a caucus thing.
- 33:18Speaker 1: There are now three hundred and fifty two delegates up
- 33:21Speaker 1: for grabs right now. Joe Biden has six hundred and
- 33:24Speaker 1: sixty four delegates, Sanders about five hundred and seventy three,
- 33:28Speaker 1: so still, you know, kind of a contentious kind of
- 33:30Speaker 1: race there. Bernie Sanders was endorsed yesterday by former primary
- 33:34Speaker 1: rival Maryanne Williamson and congress from an Ill Han Omar
- 33:38Speaker 1: of Minnesota Jesse Jackson also endorsed Bernie Sanders. You know,
- 33:41Speaker 1: Sanders endorsed him when he ran for president back in
- 33:44Speaker 1: nineteen eighty eight, and he decided to really repay that favor.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Corey Booker told CBS this morning that all he really
- 33:51Speaker 1: liked Sanders a lot that in this case though, he's
- 33:53Speaker 1: throwing his support behind Joe Biden. I know from talking
- 33:57Speaker 1: to him that some of my biggest issues like criminal justice,
- 34:00Speaker 1: just reform, like racial justice, like economic justice, that he
- 34:04Speaker 1: is going to be a strong leader on that and
- 34:07Speaker 1: can actually pull the country together the kind of coalitions
- 34:10Speaker 1: we need to actually make progress in those areas. So
- 34:14Speaker 1: I know he is a leader not just to beat
- 34:16Speaker 1: Donald Trump, but to bring honor back to that office. Well.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Swedish actor Max von Cito has died at age ninety
- 34:23Speaker 1: and he was most recently in Game of Thrones. He
- 34:25Speaker 1: was the three eyed Raven who taught the crippled young
- 34:27Speaker 1: son of mid Start into you know, looking the past
- 34:30Speaker 1: and all that. Finally, the fears around the coronavirus quickly
- 34:33Speaker 1: spread all over the world. Australia just announced his first
- 34:35Speaker 1: confirmed case, touching off a wave of panic bike buying
- 34:39Speaker 1: two women fighting over a roll of toilet tissue. The
- 34:41Speaker 1: other day, Steve Harvey Morning Show, you're listening to show
- 34:47Speaker 1: the World Health Organization is concerned that the coronavirus is
- 34:51Speaker 1: a real threat of a pandemic and as all of
- 34:55Speaker 1: Italy goes on lockdown. The total number of cases has
- 34:58Speaker 1: surpassed one six thousand, including more than thirty eight hundred fatalities.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Over sixty thousand patients are reported to have recovered. The
- 35:07Speaker 1: Italian Prime Minister said the move was taken in order
- 35:10Speaker 1: to protect the population. Italy has the most cases so
- 35:14Speaker 1: far any European country. The World Health Organization has called
- 35:18Speaker 1: on all countries to continue efforts that have been effective
- 35:22Speaker 1: and limiting the number of cases and slowing the spread
- 35:25Speaker 1: of the virus. The global and stock markets have plunged
- 35:29Speaker 1: amid the coronavirus fears, and Shirley, let me add this
- 35:33Speaker 1: to those numbers that you gave. That's worldwide, that's just
- 35:35Speaker 1: not in Italy. So this is wow, this is serious. Yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 1: this is all. Yeah, you gotta take it, you know.
- 35:46Speaker 1: N Look, that's right. Are people are people profiting from this? Absolutely?
- 35:51Speaker 1: People profit from war? Absolutely, But we still have to
- 35:56Speaker 1: be smart. You know, if you round, somebody didn't coughing
- 36:00Speaker 1: and all this here, move away, I mean, you know,
- 36:04Speaker 1: but everybody that coughs ain't cause they got corona. Sometimes
- 36:08Speaker 1: your throat tickle, you know, don't panic, Just be sensible
- 36:12Speaker 1: and do the smart thing. You know everybody say, wash
- 36:15Speaker 1: your hands, you sanitize, just stay conscious, man, do what this? Keep? Yeah,
- 36:20Speaker 1: do what the health experts say to do. But around me,
- 36:23Speaker 1: three coughs to get your ass? What I'm just thinking?
- 36:26Speaker 1: What crazy? Three? Three? How did you arrive at three?
- 36:35Speaker 1: The first two slides but not a third one? You
- 36:37Speaker 1: know yours? You know that? Now what he means, folks,
- 36:41Speaker 1: is this this ain't the three that ain't gonna get
- 36:43Speaker 1: your ass? What is that? Y'all talk a little bit.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That's one for real, for real? That's now. Now that
- 36:59Speaker 1: next one out to be the one, and we watch
- 37:01Speaker 1: it and we keep in track. Then it asked him
- 37:07Speaker 1: starts boom stop. So it's under your breath. You're just
- 37:12Speaker 1: counting the coughs. Yes, you got it. Yeah. The first
- 37:15Speaker 1: first call, how they sound. According to Steve, it's how
- 37:19Speaker 1: you cough. Your fist is balled up. On the second.
- 37:23Speaker 1: The third one call swinging. Great for the juggler. I
- 37:27Speaker 1: saw a dude on the lot. You know how you
- 37:30Speaker 1: walk with your shirt round your waist. He unwrapped his
- 37:33Speaker 1: shirt and coughed into his shirt. Three times, I said,
- 37:36Speaker 1: because he knew. Let me muffle this sound right here
- 37:40Speaker 1: for how you put out this damn pop his shirt
- 37:44Speaker 1: off and coughed into it, he said, because I already
- 37:48Speaker 1: know if somebody hid it. My answers out of work,
- 37:53Speaker 1: all right? Coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 37:56Speaker 1: some trending political news. The President is tweeting again, and
- 38:00Speaker 1: we'll talk about it right after this. You're listening and
- 38:06Speaker 1: trending political news. Donald Trump is at it again. The
- 38:09Speaker 1: President tweeted Elizabeth pocahannas Warren single handedly destroyed the Bernie
- 38:15Speaker 1: Sanders campaign by stripping voters away from his count back
- 38:19Speaker 1: on Super Tuesday. He last states that he easily would
- 38:23Speaker 1: have won if she had dropped out three days earlier.
- 38:26Speaker 1: The DNC is doing it to Bernie again. Will he
- 38:29Speaker 1: get mad? Question mark. Yes, he is the most amazing thing.
- 38:41Speaker 1: He wants nothing more than Bernie Sanders to run so
- 38:47Speaker 1: he can start screaming socialism. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, he not not.
- 38:56Speaker 1: He know what the Democrats is doing. All your job
- 38:59Speaker 1: should be is getting reelected. But this is part of
- 39:01Speaker 1: his strategy. Will he get mad because he's already heard
- 39:05Speaker 1: Bernie say that the Democratic Party is against him because
- 39:10Speaker 1: he knows he's so far to the left. Right now, listen,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I don't care if you vote for Bernie Sanders, I
- 39:17Speaker 1: really really don't. I don't care if you vote for Biden.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I really really don't. But whoever the candidate is, we
- 39:24Speaker 1: have to get out and vote for somebody. All black
- 39:28Speaker 1: people are not going to vote for Biden. All of
- 39:31Speaker 1: them are not going to vote for Bernie Sanders, and
- 39:34Speaker 1: some of them will vote for Donald Trump. That's a fact. Yeah, yeah.
- 39:41Speaker 1: But if the masses get out and vote, you can
- 39:44Speaker 1: bring about a serious change in this coming election period.
- 39:50Speaker 1: That's all I'm gonna say. I ain't all I'm gonna say.
- 39:52Speaker 1: I'm lying. I'm gonna be begging y'all right up in
- 39:54Speaker 1: the pole day to get registered. Baby, please leave for sure, Steve.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But you know why I'm will push so hard because
- 40:07Speaker 1: I want everybody to vote, especially African Americans. I want
- 40:15Speaker 1: you to understand why all of them are according your vote. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Why they all sitting up in your churches all of
- 40:26Speaker 1: a sudden on Sunday, Yeah, and they've started, they started.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Why is everybody trying to come up with a way
- 40:32Speaker 1: to get the back. Donald Trump has figured it out.
- 40:35Speaker 1: If he gets twelve percent of the African American vote,
- 40:40Speaker 1: he and the White House, they've already said it. So
- 40:43Speaker 1: he's come up with a slogan called woke woke. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 1: his whole slogan is called woke. Now that's called Some
- 40:52Speaker 1: blacks on his campaign came up with woke from stay woke.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Yeah the course from well, kid, bro, there's no white
- 41:03Speaker 1: staff members came up with that. Let's try and walk
- 41:09Speaker 1: another trending news guy's former presidential Democratic candidates Kamala Harrison
- 41:13Speaker 1: Corey Booker are both now endorsing Joe Biden. He was,
- 41:17Speaker 1: of course, once their rival. They won him for the
- 41:20Speaker 1: Democratic presidential nominee. Also, get ready for another Democratic primary
- 41:26Speaker 1: delegates showdown Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. They're going to
- 41:29Speaker 1: be fighting for delegates in six states, including Michigan, Mississippi,
- 41:33Speaker 1: and Missouri. So people, please, Steve, come on, do some
- 41:37Speaker 1: of that begging right now? Please please please please please

- 42:21Speaker 1: you to go vote please. That is, I won't you vote?
- 42:38Speaker 1: Please go vote? Thank you, Steve. That was good Steve.
- 42:47Speaker 1: After that he poured his heart into that. Yes, you're
- 42:50Speaker 1: all week, all right? Coming up next to the nephew
- 42:53Speaker 1: in the building with today's prank phone call. Right after this,

- 43:38Speaker 1: time to be pranking doctors. People like to. I know
- 43:43Speaker 1: there a little busy caller, but you know, let's say

- 44:29Speaker 1: few things. You know. If I get one more good look,

- 44:50Speaker 1: tell tell anyone what's going on with her. And there's
- 44:53Speaker 1: nothing really serious going on, okay, so you can relax
- 44:56Speaker 1: on that part. But I just want to get one
- 44:58Speaker 1: more good look at her, just to be sure, one
- 45:01Speaker 1: more good looks for what doct if nothing serious going on? Well,
- 45:04Speaker 1: I think uh uh, I think what, Well, she'll be fine,
- 45:10Speaker 1: she'll be fine, She'll be fine. Great. Uh think, Hey, man,

- 52:41Speaker 1: for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you enough
- 52:44Speaker 1: you subject he wants to tell my fiance about us.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a problem that I hope
- 52:50Speaker 1: you can help me sort out, because I'm really confused.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I've had a fiance for eight years. She and I've
- 52:57Speaker 1: been together since college, and we all always planned to
- 53:01Speaker 1: get married, but we can't commit to setting a wedding
- 53:04Speaker 1: date or planning the wedding. We have been living like
- 53:07Speaker 1: a married couple for years. In December of last year,
- 53:12Speaker 1: someone at my job got my attention, and I have
- 53:15Speaker 1: a couple of issues with it. First off, I'm not
- 53:18Speaker 1: a cheater, and then there's the issue with the person
- 53:21Speaker 1: being a male. It all started when he and I
- 53:24Speaker 1: went to lunch together one day and we talked about
- 53:27Speaker 1: how much we have in common. He has a longtime girlfriend,
- 53:31Speaker 1: so this was all new to him too. We hung
- 53:34Speaker 1: out together for about a month, and after that I
- 53:37Speaker 1: noticed that he was getting clingy and jealous of my fiance.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I told him that I was only trying to get
- 53:44Speaker 1: to know him and see if I had any attraction
- 53:46Speaker 1: to men. I'm glad, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I told
- 53:52Speaker 1: him that I was only trying to get to know
- 53:54Speaker 1: him and see if I had any attraction to men.
- 53:58Speaker 1: I'm glad nothing happened between us so I could break
- 54:01Speaker 1: it off with him with a clean conscience. When I
- 54:04Speaker 1: told him there would be no more date, he did
- 54:07Speaker 1: not take it well. He told me that he had
- 54:10Speaker 1: contemplating leaving his girlfriend for me, so of course he's
- 54:13Speaker 1: mad at me for leading him on. I never once
- 54:17Speaker 1: told him that I would break off my engagement for him.
- 54:20Speaker 1: He wants to tell my fiance about the time he
- 54:23Speaker 1: spent with me, but that's nothing but a couple of
- 54:25Speaker 1: lunches here and there and us meeting up to shop together.
- 54:29Speaker 1: There's nothing to tell, but it's still stressing me out.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I can't face either one of them because I never
- 54:36Speaker 1: wanted to hurt anyone. Should I tell my fiance that
- 54:39Speaker 1: this guy came on to me, or should I be
- 54:42Speaker 1: honest that it was a mutual friendship? Okay you say, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 54:49Speaker 1: yeah yeah. You say in this letter that you're confused
- 54:54Speaker 1: and hang on, Steve, and I have to say, I
- 54:59Speaker 1: have to to say to you, mister letter writer, that
- 55:02Speaker 1: so am I I'm very confused. Are you saying that
- 55:05Speaker 1: you're attracted to men or are you not? Are you
- 55:09Speaker 1: saying that you said you told him you were only
- 55:11Speaker 1: trying to get to know him to see if you
- 55:14Speaker 1: were attracted to men. That's very confusing because why would
- 55:17Speaker 1: you be doing all of this if you weren't attracted
- 55:20Speaker 1: to men? And you say he caught your attention at
- 55:23Speaker 1: the job. I think you you know, you're what's called
- 55:27Speaker 1: by curious if nothing else, because what would happen when
- 55:32Speaker 1: someone else catches your eye? You know, you said nothing happened,
- 55:35Speaker 1: You're glad, you have a cure conscience and all of that,
- 55:39Speaker 1: you know, but what if someone else catches your eye
- 55:45Speaker 1: and you decide to go ahead and cheat on your fiance?
- 55:49Speaker 1: You say you're not a cheater, but you know this
- 55:53Speaker 1: is confusing. This situation was very close with you and
- 55:57Speaker 1: this guy but what about next time, not to mention
- 56:00Speaker 1: the threat of exposing you to your girlfriend. You know
- 56:03Speaker 1: he said he could do that. I mean, this is
- 56:05Speaker 1: a real messy situation here. My advice to you is
- 56:10Speaker 1: really to sit down and have an honest conversation with
- 56:13Speaker 1: your fiance about the fact that you are by curious
- 56:16Speaker 1: that you're thinking about it. I think that she deserves
- 56:19Speaker 1: to know. She is your fiance of eight years. You
- 56:21Speaker 1: guys have been together since college, and you live with her.
- 56:25Speaker 1: You live with this woman. I mean, whenever you do
- 56:29Speaker 1: decide to set a date for this wedding or start
- 56:33Speaker 1: planning this wedding, she has to know you know your
- 56:37Speaker 1: true feelings, and let her have the option of whether
- 56:40Speaker 1: she still wants to marry you or whether she wants
- 56:43Speaker 1: to tell you to go ahead and explore what you
- 56:45Speaker 1: want to explore. I mean, she has that right, Okay.
- 56:50Speaker 1: I think honesty here is the best policy. If you
- 56:53Speaker 1: really care about this woman like you say you do,
- 56:56Speaker 1: I would be honest with her and let her know. Stevey,
- 57:00Speaker 1: he wants to tell my fiance about us. Well, let
- 57:04Speaker 1: me just say this right off the dribble. The only
- 57:07Speaker 1: reason he got anything to tell your damn fiance is
- 57:11Speaker 1: causing you, partner this all this, you're doing what you're
- 57:16Speaker 1: writing up folk, You set up and tricked out this
- 57:20Speaker 1: whole mess. Dear Stephen Shelly, don't don't don't ask me.
- 57:25Speaker 1: See I'm telling you right now, I don't know none
- 57:28Speaker 1: of these terms surely be using and I want to
- 57:32Speaker 1: ask before I even answer this question. I want everybody
- 57:35Speaker 1: to understand that my answer is coming from the eyes
- 57:39Speaker 1: and the mindset of a sixty three year old black
- 57:43Speaker 1: man that don't know nothing about all it is. I
- 57:46Speaker 1: just know what I know, and that's how I'm gonna
- 57:49Speaker 1: answer the letter. So forgive me if I say anything
- 57:53Speaker 1: might be politically incorrect. I ain't trying to be funking,
- 57:56Speaker 1: but I'm just gonna tell the truth in this letter.
- 57:59Speaker 1: Help me sort this out. I'm really confused, damn right.
- 58:02Speaker 1: I've had a fiance for eight years. She and I
- 58:05Speaker 1: have been together since college, and we always planned to
- 58:08Speaker 1: getting married. But we can't commit to setting a wedding
- 58:11Speaker 1: date or planning the wedding. You know why, because you
- 58:14Speaker 1: ain't committed to who you are yet. That's why you
- 58:16Speaker 1: can't get to settled on a date or no. Damn wedding.
- 58:19Speaker 1: We've been living like a married couple for years. In
- 58:23Speaker 1: December last year, someone at my job caught my attention.
- 58:27Speaker 1: The hell you mean? Caught your attention? Do? What do
- 58:30Speaker 1: that mean? Dog? Just sounds a man. If somebody at
- 58:34Speaker 1: my job catch my attention, I already know what that is.
- 58:37Speaker 1: So what the hell you mean? Somebody at my job
- 58:39Speaker 1: caught my attention? And I have a couple of issues
- 58:42Speaker 1: with it? For what? First off, I'm not a cheater,
- 58:45Speaker 1: and then there's the issue with the person being a male.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Hell of dog. You keep calling them issues, but all
- 58:51Speaker 1: this is stuff that you're doing. These ain't issues. Your
- 58:54Speaker 1: assist the issues. Yeah, yeah, and you can't do this
- 58:57Speaker 1: to your fiance. You can't. Come on, just give me
- 58:59Speaker 1: the today. We'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 59:02Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject he
- 59:05Speaker 1: wants to tell my fiance about us. We'll get back
- 59:08Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 59:14Speaker 1: Come on, let's recap today Strawberry letters. Subject he wants
- 59:17Speaker 1: to tell my fiance about us once again. And the
- 59:21Speaker 1: only reason he want to tell the fiance something is
- 59:24Speaker 1: because you gave him something to tell well, of course
- 59:27Speaker 1: we didn't know a diverse, that's a he. But here
- 59:29Speaker 1: we go, though, and then he opened the letters with
- 59:32Speaker 1: I'm really confused. That's an understatement. Yeah, I've had a
- 59:35Speaker 1: fiance for eight years. She and I have been together
- 59:38Speaker 1: since college, and we always planned to get mad. But
- 59:41Speaker 1: we can't commit to setting a wedding day or planning
- 59:44Speaker 1: in the wedding. You know why, dog, because you can't
- 59:47Speaker 1: commit to who you are, and you can't commit to
- 59:50Speaker 1: when you gonna be whoever it is you are. We've
- 59:53Speaker 1: been living together like a married couple for years now.
- 59:58Speaker 1: In decembol, somebody at his job called his attention, and
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I have a couple of issues with it. First of all,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I'm not a cheater. Okay, well it's good to know that.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: And then, as an issue with the person being a male.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Way my hold up, partner, didn't you just say somebody
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: at your job caught your attention? Surely didn't he say that? Yeah?
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: He absolutely said that. Okay, so how that's an issue? See,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: you created the issue. The dude at the job caught
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: your attention. He ain't got no issue. This your issue, partner,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: And the only reason I'm saying this issue is because
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you said it was an issue. It all started when
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: that when he and I went to lunch together. Now
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: watch how this is phrase. He and I went to
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: lunch together one day and we talked about how much
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: we have in common. I ain't that went to lunch
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: and had no talking to dude like sixty years. I
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: ain't never went to lunch. We're no dude talk about
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: all we got income? Just where to god, I ain't
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: never see what is you all up in here to
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: tell about? What's my favorite drink? And all this? Here?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Hold on, doc, And then we talked about how much
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: in common. Now here's the next trick line. He has
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: a long time girlfriend. So this was all new to
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: him too. Because you said somebody on the job caught
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: your attention, it happened to me a male. So when
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: y'all went out to lunch, this was all new to
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: him too. Somebody lying, somebody lying in this letter. Two
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: dudes sitting around talking about how much they got income
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: in common with each other. Both of them got girlfriends,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: and this new to both of y'all. Partner miss me
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: with this hill, this ain't no first time partner. Attention
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: caught your attention? Dude, Dog, this ain't the first time
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: a man caught your attention. If you like man, this
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: ain't the first time he caught your attention. You been
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: with the girl in college eight years light of men
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: to caught your attention, You lying dog. He got a
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: long time girlfriend, so this was new to him too.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: We hung it herego. We hung out together for a month,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: and after that I noticed he was getting cleaning clinging. Hey, dog,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: let me saying, I'm just telling you, just sixty year
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: old dude talking. What the hell you mean you're getting
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: clinging with me? Cleaning? Where you're going? Where are we going? With?
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: What is your arm against my arm? And then getting
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: jealous of your fiance? Dog? Just my girl. But y'all
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: both know what's happening. I told him that I was
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: only trying to get to know him and see if
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: I had any attraction to men. What somebody caught your
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: eye on the job, that's you already attracted. You didn't
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: go out with him to see if you had attraction
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: to men. You attracted to me, and Dog, I'm glad
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: nothing happened between us so I could break it off
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: with him with a clean conscience. When I told him
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: there would be no more dates. He didn't take it. Well,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: what are you getting mad for? Bro? Something happened, dog,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Something happened for another man to get mad at you
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: for breaking off dates. Y'all did something? Why are you
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: trying to figure out if you was attracking? He told
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: me he had contemplated leaving his girlfriend from me. You
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: are man, and you dating to do with a girlfriend,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and you got a girlfriend, and he tells you he
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: was thinking about leaving, huffing you for what? Y'all just
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: talking seeing if y'all got anything in common, partner, man,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: you lying to me, so of course he's mad at
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: me for leading him on. Wait a minute, leading him on.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Y'all was just talking. Remember, y'all was just having stuff
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: in comment. I never once told him that I would
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: break off my engagement for him. Dog. Guess cause y'all
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: did something. He wants to tell my fiance about the
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: time he spent with me. Okay, if y'all was just talking,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: wasn't to tell. But that time he spent with you,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: y'all did something. Dog, But that's nothing but a couple
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: of lunches here and there, and that's meeting up to
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: shop together. Partner, Where have I ever met up with
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: one of my homies to shop together? Boyd boy, come on,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: tell me, yes, sir, you want to meet up and
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: go shopping? Hell? No, Ki, you want to come shopping
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: with us for what? Okay? All right, Steve? Thank you.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: FM on the Instagram and Facebook, and check out the
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast on demand coming up at forty six
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: after the hour. Guess what Steve just told me? He
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: has a part three to today's Strawberry He's not done.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: He is not done. Yeah, your homeboard and got him
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: my nerves. Yeah, all right. The subject is he wanted
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: to tell my fiance about us. He wants to tell
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: my fiance about us. Steve has part three coming up
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve? What's you got?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: Let me say this about this letter. This dude just
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: had this curiosity with this other guy at the job
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: to find out if he had an attraction for men.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: When you just clearly said somebody caught your eye at
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: your job, so it's obvious you have attraction for me. Okay, bro,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: that's your life. Go do it now. You'd told him
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: y'all breaking it off. But now you're saying he mad
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: because y'all spend some time together and he was thinking
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: about leaving his girlfriend for you, but you never told
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: him you leave your fiance for him, And now he
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: wants to go tell your fiance about the time y'all
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: spend together. Well, if y'all was just having lunch and shopping,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: he can go tell that. But see, brou something else
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: happened because you said in the letter. What really threw
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: me off was when you said in the letter, there's
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: nothing to tell. But it's stressing me out. I can't
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: face either one of them because I never wanted to
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: hurt anyone. Should I tell my fiance that this guy
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: came onto me? Or should I be honest that it
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: was a mutual friendship? Hold up, partner, you finling, go
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: ahead and tell your fiance that a guy came on
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: to you, or should you tell her that it was
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: a mutual friendship. Either way, you're gonna have to tell
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: her the damn truth. Yeah, don't you mess this girl's
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: life up, leading her down this garden path that she
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: got something that she don't really have. You like me
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: and dog go only get you a man. Don't play
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: this girl out, no more so talking about should I
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: tell him that he came on to me? Or it
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: was a mutual friendship? No, no, no, Doc, somebody's job
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: caught your attention. See, don't lie on the dude, because
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: when you lie on him, he gonna tell the truth.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Thing help, It was a mutual friendship. It was just
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: two dudes having lunch together and shopping and shopping. That's
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: what that was supposed to be. Y'all was just shopping,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: But y'all wasn't just shopping. Y'all was trying to see
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: if you had an attraction to men and you do. No,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: that's your life. You just go do you? But don't
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: drag this girl down this dog pathway because you're wrong
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: for that. You like me and go get me in? Doc?
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Can you feel you don't? Junior? You ain't never cut
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: my attention. Job. All the times you don't call my team,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: I can't even see you, But all the times you
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: can call my attention is because I realized just how
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: igny your ass was. Ignis has called not him you
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: had on a pair of shoes one time. I like,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: but do you like him? Anything? But I couldn't imagine
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: what they would look like in the thirteen, so I'd
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: just see all right. Coming up at the top of
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: the hour, a man leaves a job interview after he's
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: been kept waiting for thirty five minutes. The internet applaud him.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: We'll talk about that right after this. You're listening to
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: show today's office topic. Guys, listen to this, okay. Miguel
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Oh recently revealed on LinkedIn social media that he went
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to a job interview that kept him waiting thirty five minutes.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: So guess what, somebody say? What? What? What? I said? What?
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Thank you? Carlin? He left? He left, He left, He
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: left thirty five minutes. He waited for a job interview.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: They didn't come. He left. But he didn't just leave
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: because they were late. He notes that it was more
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: about how he was treated by HR during that extended
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: wait time. Twice the head of HR walked into the lobby,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: he shared. Twice she missed an opportunity to simply acknowledge him. No,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: good morning, No, we're running a little behind. Absolutely no greeting.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Miguel says if he got even the simplest of acknowledgment,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: he would have gladly waited, but instead he simply explained
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: why he was going and left. It was a feeling
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: of not being equal, he said, my time, not being
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: respected to make matters worse. He eventually got a call
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: explaining what happened from an entry level employee, with Miguel
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: noting it should have come from the HR person herself.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Miguel's post received over twenty three thousand reactions, with many
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: people supporting his decision to leave. Now here's a question
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: for you, guys. Do you think mcguel made the right
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: decision to leave? Do you think that? What's your response?
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: He must have a saving okay, because my ass would
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: have still been said. Now, yeah, he must got a
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: nice savings people who need a job. I'll get that,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: which you can walk back as much as you won't. Junior,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: listen to me. You are not going to respect disrespect Miguel. Okay,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I don't care who you are, and I don't care
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: if I don't have a dime in the bank. Yeah
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: you're Junior, just kept it one. You broke. I don't
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I need this job? Yeah? Yeah, I don't. I mean
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: you just gotta wait. I mean what I would have done?
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Just wait? You know, waiting, that's normal. He got a
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: lot of support. He better not go down to the
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: DMV or who are other people who ain't working? Yeah,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: well for him to exactly this is other other lady
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: as people that ain't working. That's what this. Yeah, if
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: he doesn't like to that might not be that the
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: reason that might be to be unemployed. He got a
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: lot of demands. Now she didn't acknowledge me. And this
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: is why I've been working in a long time. My
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: time ain't respected. I got a lot of demands to
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: need a job like my mom and my mama have
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: you got a lot of requests to be out of
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: You don't want hamburgers. We've all heard that as a kid, right,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I don't want that. You do a lot of requests
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: be unemployed. Yeah, yeah, he's still unemployed, but he has
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: his dignity. You will not disrespect how much that page
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: have you have you had a bad job experience though,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: interview wise Tommy or junior, God, this is you you say,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: because mine I was. I was about four fifteen on
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: my first job, global video, and I feel out the paperwork.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I put it in there and they called me back
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: for the interview and I walked in and the lady
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: said you black. Oh my god. Legal Like. I was like, okay,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: well you're supposed to be. I don't know what. I
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: don't thought I was supposed to be. He's like, oh
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: my god, I guess she's trying to hire me based
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: on the name. You got a white name. I guess
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: because she said you black, I got the job. I didn't.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: What did you say? I ain't say nothing. I said, yeah,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: but I need this job. Yeah. No, I stayed right there,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: got it. Got it? That's good. Yeah, my black ass
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: needed job. Wow, that's funny that it was a competition
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: to Blockbuster. Man, man, you're not white. Coming up for

- 1:17:54Speaker 1: all weeks all right, coming up the last break of
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: the day, Steve will have some closing remarks for us.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Don't go anywhere. We'll be back at forty nine minutes
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: after the hour right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Here we are. It is the last break of the day.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: It's the last breakout the day. Love it, and I
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: know you want to leave us with some closing remarks, Steve.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: You know, um, last night, when I finished up Family Feud,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I was talking to the audience and UM, we were
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: talking about hanging in there, and one of the audience
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: members was saying that they feel underqualified because they work
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: around and live around a lot of people with education,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: and education is important to a lot of people and
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: then a lot of fields. And please know, education is
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: really really great to have. I'm not knocking it in
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: any shape form of fashion, so please don't misunderstand that.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: But I was asking this person were they good at school?
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: And they said no, never have been in there. Ask
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: them this what they want to be in life? Man,
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: do you have to go to school? They said not really,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: And so that kind of troubled me a little bit
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: because I was ended up talking to a person who
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: was trying to shape who they really wanted to be
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: and who they saw themselves becoming. But we're trying to
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: shape it in the image of other external people on
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the outside and around him. And I began to talk
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: to this guy and I tried to enlighten him to
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: some things. You know, education is important and you should
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: get as much as you can, but you can become
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: successful without an education. Now I understand something. If you
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: want to be a doctor, dentist, lawyer, you know you
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: want to work in certain branches and the fields. Of course,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: you can't be a teacher without an education, can't be
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: professor without one, can't be a lawyer, doctor, dentist, scientists.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: There are things that require an education. But if your
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: imagination has you somewhere else, stop letting other people try
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: to put you in the box that they came out of.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: There are some people that no matter how you talk
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: to them, if you don't do it they way, then
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: you ain't doing it the right way. I cannot even
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: began to tell you how many people have tried to
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: talk me off of the path I was on when
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: clearly God had put me on another path. I tried
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: to go to college. I did. I've never been a
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: great student. Once again, understand me. Now, I'm not knocking
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: the education, because I tell people all the time I
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: admire people who climbed the corporate letter through education, who
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: climbed the educational field. That is like amazing to me
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: because that's not a skill set I have. But I
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: can't tell you how many people have tried to talk
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: me off my path. Do you know one time a
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: lady once told me at a major institution that if
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: you want to rep this institution, you're gonna have to
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: go back to college. And I said, go back to
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: college for what? And they said, because it would make
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: a better statement if you are a college graduate yourself.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: And I wasn't being arrogant in anything, but I was
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: looking at this lady trying to figure out what better
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: statement could I make? Then crawling out of homelessness, putting
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: my faith in trust in God and asking God to
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: rescue me from all the mistakes I made. Watch him
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: do it climb as well. Now I may not be
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: up there where you think I all to be, and
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I may not talk to where you think I all
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: to talk, But the God I served delivered me from
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: so many mistakes I had made, college being one of them.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: What better testament? What better story can I tell? Don't
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: let people put you in the box just because that's
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the box that they jumped out of. That ain't your box,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: That ain't your route, that ain't your journey, that ain't
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: your ticket. You have got to put your faith in
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: God and understand that all of us are on a
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: different journey in life. Ain't nobody traveling the exact same path,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: in the exact same footsteps as nobody. I have admired
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: so many people in this world. I have tried to
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: pattern myself after certain people in this world. But no
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: matter how hard I try, I have found no one
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: who has taken the exact same footsteps as me. And
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: that don't make them better than me, less than me.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: It just ain't no two people taking the exact same footsteps. Look.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I admired Richard Pryor. I admired Muhammad Ali. I admired Maa.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Luther King. I admired Michael Jordan, I admired Gandhi. I
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: admired Mother Teresa. I admire Bishop T. D. Jakes. I
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: admire Bishop Gettys. I admire Joel Oldstein. I admire Bishop
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Kenneth Omer. I admired Donnie Kirk Kirkland. I admya a
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: lot of people, but they footsteps ain't mine, not the
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: exact footsteps. I can learn from something they've all taught me.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: I can learn from some things I've watched them do.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, this is your journey.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Your journey as is as unique as your fingerprint. And
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: that's how special God made each and every one of us,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: because we all got a different fingerprint. It's billions over
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: seven billion people in this world. Ain't no two people
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: got the same fingerprint. So how the tool you gonna
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: take the same steps. You better, you better listen to this.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: It ain't your journey, It ain't your path. Get on
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: your path, Get on your journey, get on your faith,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: get on your knees, and accomplish your job, your dreams,
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: make your dreams come true. Follow your heart, follow your goals,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: follow your imagination. God is good and he can get
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: you there. And nowhere does it say a man without
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: an education shall fail. It says a man without a
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: dream or vision shall parish. Dust them off hand to
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: your business. Those are my clothing remarks. Y'all have a
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: great weekend, and I'm needing that from the bottom of
