- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz Weekend Review, Ben
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ferguson with you, and these are the stories you may
- 0:05Speaker 1: have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:07Speaker 2: First up, you may.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Not realize that Spirit Airlines could have been saved a
- 0:11Speaker 1: couple years ago. The Democrats stopped it on purpose. Why
- 0:15Speaker 1: do they do it? We've got the receipts, and we'll
- 0:18Speaker 1: explain exactly what liberals were behind destroying another American airline,
- 0:22Speaker 1: costing thousands of people their jobs. Also, Tucker Carlson's now
- 0:27Speaker 1: saying Donald Trump is the Antichrist, and then when he's
- 0:30Speaker 1: called out on it, he says he never said it.
- 0:33Speaker 2: The problem is it's on video.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And finally, why is it that there are members of
- 0:38Speaker 1: the United States Congress that are working on behalf of
- 0:41Speaker 1: Cuba right now to try to help the regime. We'll
- 0:44Speaker 1: explain that as well. It's the week in Review and
- 0:47Speaker 1: it starts right now. Let's talk about another aspect of this,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and it was the there was a lot of you know,
- 0:55Speaker 1: fodder online and there was a lot of media reports
- 0:57Speaker 1: that will maybe America would would give the government, would
- 1:00Speaker 1: give a bailout, We'd own you know, eighty ninety percent
- 1:03Speaker 1: of the company, whatever the number was.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Ultimately that did not happen.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Explain I hear bailout, and I always get real cringing.
- 1:11Speaker 1: We've had some that have been really good where we've
- 1:13Speaker 1: got our money back as taxpayers, but in this scenario,
- 1:17Speaker 1: there's many that say, you know what, it makes me
- 1:19Speaker 1: really nervous.
- 1:20Speaker 3: It did not happen.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But can you explain how the government getting involved with
- 1:24Speaker 1: that and how that works and who's making that decision
- 1:28Speaker 1: of saying yes or no.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:30Speaker 4: So this last week there was considerable discussion about the
- 1:34Speaker 4: Trump administration potentially bailing out Spirit Airlines, and the bailout
- 1:39Speaker 4: that was being discussed was the federal government would give
- 1:42Speaker 4: Spirit Airlines five hundred million dollars and in exchange for that,
- 1:46Speaker 4: the federal government would own ninety.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Percent of the airline.
- 1:51Speaker 4: And there were differences of opinions within the administration on that.
- 1:56Speaker 4: So the Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, was vocally argued
- 2:00Speaker 4: against that, saying that's a bad idea. Howard Lutnik, the
- 2:03Speaker 4: Secretary of Commerce, was the one who was advocating this idea.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I publicly came out against it, and I came out loudly.
- 2:12Speaker 4: I sent a tweet a little over a week ago
- 2:15Speaker 4: that said the following quote, this is an absolutely terrible idea.
- 2:22Speaker 4: The TARP corporate bailouts were a huge mistake, and the
- 2:27Speaker 4: government doesn't know a damn thing about running a failed
- 2:32Speaker 4: budget airline that the Biden administration killed. Now, when I
- 2:38Speaker 4: said that, I'm the chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee,
- 2:40Speaker 4: which has jurisdiction over reaviation. When I came out against it,
- 2:44Speaker 4: that got quite a bit of media attention, and it
- 2:47Speaker 4: prompted a number of other members of Congress spoke out
- 2:50Speaker 4: against it after I did so. I will tell you, Ben,
- 2:56Speaker 4: that was my public statement. I also went week. I
- 3:01Speaker 4: had dinner with Howard Ludnik. Howard is a friend. He
- 3:04Speaker 4: and I worked together very very closely. He's the Secretary
- 3:07Speaker 4: of Commerce, and the Commerce Committee is is the Senate
- 3:12Speaker 4: committee that has jurisdiction over the Commerce Department. So Howard
- 3:15Speaker 4: and I had dinner last week, and a good chunk
- 3:18Speaker 4: of the dinner was spent discussing the potential Spirit bailout.
- 3:25Speaker 4: And I will tell you one on one with Howard,
- 3:27Speaker 4: it was just the two of us having dinner. I
- 3:30Speaker 4: leaned in really hard and said, this is an absolutely
- 3:33Speaker 4: horrible idea. Corporate bailouts are a bad, bad strategy. They
- 3:39Speaker 4: were a bad strategy when we did TARP. They're a
- 3:41Speaker 4: bad strategy when you had the government coming in and
- 3:44Speaker 4: bailing out giant corporations. But they're particularly bad when the
- 3:50Speaker 4: government doesn't know a damn thing about the business. And
- 3:52Speaker 4: so if we'd ended up giving five hundred million dollars
- 3:57Speaker 4: to Spirit and having the federal government own ninety percent
- 4:00Speaker 4: of Spirit number one, I believe we would have lost
- 4:03Speaker 4: our money. In fact, I had said, somewhat cynically, a
- 4:06Speaker 4: better idea was simply to put five hundred million dollars
- 4:08Speaker 4: in a pile on the floor, pour gasoline on it,
- 4:11Speaker 4: and light it, because then at least you'd get some warmth.
- 4:14Speaker 4: You could like roast marshmallows by it. That would get
- 4:16Speaker 4: something positive and beneficial from it. But fundamentally, who in
- 4:23Speaker 4: their right mind thinks the federal government knows anything about
- 4:28Speaker 4: how you run an airline? How do you set pilot schedules,
- 4:31Speaker 4: how do you run baggage handling, How do you make
- 4:34Speaker 4: sure somebody's suitcase that's headed to Pittsburgh doesn't end up
- 4:38Speaker 4: in Milwaukee? How do you negotiate with pilot unions, with
- 4:42Speaker 4: with flight attendant unions? How do you ensure safety and
- 4:46Speaker 4: all of that. The federal government doesn't know a blooming
- 4:50Speaker 4: thing about it, and it is a really dangerous road. Look,
- 4:57Speaker 4: there are some voices and some voices within the administration
- 5:02Speaker 4: that are pretty excited about the federal government taking ownership
- 5:06Speaker 4: shares in lots and lots of companies. I think that
- 5:10Speaker 4: is a really bad idea. And Ben, I'm going to
- 5:15Speaker 4: harken back to when I was a kid, when I
- 5:17Speaker 4: was in high school, and you may recall I was.
- 5:21Speaker 4: I was part of a group in Houston that was
- 5:24Speaker 4: called the Constitutional Corroborators and it was started by this
- 5:27Speaker 4: nonprofit in Houston called the Free Enterprise Education Center. And
- 5:31Speaker 4: as high school kids, we studied free market economics. We
- 5:35Speaker 4: read Milton Friedman and Hayek and Bostiat and von Meses,
- 5:39Speaker 4: and we studied the Constitution and we ended up touring
- 5:42Speaker 4: around Texas speaking on the Constitution. And it was five
- 5:46Speaker 4: high school students. We would set up easels and say
- 5:49Speaker 4: we'd go to like a Rotary club or a Kawanas
- 5:52Speaker 4: club or Alliance club, and folks would be sitting there
- 5:55Speaker 4: having lunch, and the five high school students would set
- 5:58Speaker 4: up easels and we would write from memory the entire
- 6:03Speaker 4: Constitution in shorten mnemonic form, and we would write a
- 6:09Speaker 4: definition of socialism, which is government ownership or control of
- 6:16Speaker 4: the means of distribution or production. And the reason we
- 6:19Speaker 4: wrote this, and this is what I was doing at
- 6:21Speaker 4: fourteen fifteen years old, is if you don't know what
- 6:24Speaker 4: it is, you can't identify it when you have it. Well,
- 6:28Speaker 4: the folks who are arguing the federal government should own
- 6:31Speaker 4: or control the means of production and distribution and economy
- 6:37Speaker 4: are directly arguing we should adopt socialism for our economy.
- 6:41Speaker 4: That is a really, really bad answer, and I think
- 6:46Speaker 4: a budget airline made it obvious to most observers. Look,
- 6:52Speaker 4: there are limited circumstances, so, for example, in national security
- 6:56Speaker 4: areas where you're dealing with critical minerals and rare earth minerals,
- 7:00Speaker 4: where it makes sense to have some government control because
- 7:03Speaker 4: because you need to be able to ensure that we
- 7:06Speaker 4: can defend our nation from national security threats. But outside
- 7:11Speaker 4: that very limited category, it is a really dangerous slippery
- 7:15Speaker 4: slope to start having the government be a shareholder and
- 7:20Speaker 4: especially be the biggest shareholder in major companies. That's how
- 7:24Speaker 4: you lose the competitiveness. How that's how you lose the
- 7:28Speaker 4: incredible success of the American for enterprise system.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it really is there.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You know, when things like this happen, I always go
- 7:35Speaker 1: back to their real people that are affected by it,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and there's always, you know, people that are out without
- 7:40Speaker 1: a job today. There's also stories that come out of
- 7:43Speaker 1: it that I think are amazing that the New York
- 7:45Speaker 1: Post had this story, and I think it's a great
- 7:48Speaker 1: way to just wrap this up in a human way.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It said Spirit Airlines pilot give an emotional sendoff from
- 7:54Speaker 1: rival airline after his retirement. Flight, which is a huge
- 7:57Speaker 1: deal when you're a pilot was but amid the shutdown,
- 8:01Speaker 1: the Spirit Airline pilot received a hero send off with
- 8:04Speaker 1: the help of another airline. Captain, John Jackson, was scheduled
- 8:09Speaker 1: to fly one last time for Spirit into Baltimore Washington
- 8:13Speaker 1: International on Saturday. When they ceased operations and went out
- 8:17Speaker 1: of business in the dead of the night. Jackson was
- 8:20Speaker 1: left stranded by the permanent shutdown. He hitched a ride
- 8:24Speaker 1: with Southwest Airlines in Fort Lauderdale. He rode alongside his
- 8:28Speaker 1: son who was a first officer. And this was the
- 8:32Speaker 1: coolest part. It went online viral. They basically Southwest gave
- 8:38Speaker 1: him the send off that he deserved. Southwest put it
- 8:41Speaker 1: up on their social media. It went to well over
- 8:44Speaker 1: one hundred thousand people that responded to it very quickly.
- 8:48Speaker 1: They showed him in the cockpit with his son. It
- 8:50Speaker 1: was awesome and I just got to say, even when
- 8:54Speaker 1: things like this happen, I do love seeing just the
- 8:57Speaker 1: hearts of Americans and people that do this and gave
- 9:01Speaker 1: him a send off the Southwest Airlines carrying they went
- 9:04Speaker 1: under the Water Canyon salute after arriving at BWI. I
- 9:08Speaker 1: just I tell you it's awesome when you see things
- 9:10Speaker 1: like that happen. So to that retiring pilot he didn
- 9:14Speaker 1: get his final flight job, well done to Southwest and
- 9:17Speaker 1: thanks for making that guy's day special.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Well good for Southwest that that was the right thing
- 9:21Speaker 4: to do. And I'll say Southwest is a great Texas company.
- 9:25Speaker 4: American Airlines was also a great Texas company. You know,
- 9:28Speaker 4: Texas is is really a critical hub for aviation. And
- 9:32Speaker 4: I'll say I fly just about every airline all the time.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I jokingly refer to Southwest as the company plane. Yet
- 9:40Speaker 4: you know, people ask sometimes they assume senators fly private
- 9:44Speaker 4: jets all around, and the vast majority of the time
- 9:47Speaker 4: you fly commercial and you fly coach. And so I
- 9:50Speaker 4: tell people, I say, oh, yeah, I've got a private jet.
- 9:53Speaker 4: It's a seven thirty seven, and it's with one hundred
- 9:56Speaker 4: and thirty five of my closest friends. On Southwest that's
- 9:59Speaker 4: my private jet. But you know, Southwest I think does
- 10:02Speaker 4: a great job. And that was a very class move.
- 10:05Speaker 4: I'm glad they honored the Spirit pilot who was retiring.
- 10:09Speaker 4: I'm sorry that so many other pilots are now out
- 10:12Speaker 4: of a job. I think many of them will end
- 10:14Speaker 4: up getting hired by other airlines. But it's still an
- 10:17Speaker 4: awful lot of pain and hurt from the disastrous of
- 10:23Speaker 4: Biden economic policies.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 10:27Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 10:29Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two. Tucker
- 10:34Speaker 1: Carlson did a sit down interview with The New York Times.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It was a disaster, and Tucker Carlson got busted line,
- 10:42Speaker 1: including his accusations that Donald Trump is the anti Christ.
- 10:48Speaker 1: He also attacks Center Ted Cruz countless times in the interview,
- 10:52Speaker 1: completely obsessed with him. Senator Cruse and I break down
- 10:56Speaker 1: this shocking interview and it's everything you need to know.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Take a listen, all right, Senator, Let's move to Tuger Carlson.
- 11:04Speaker 1: He did an interview and it couldn't have gotten worse
- 11:06Speaker 1: for him with New York Times. I've said this before.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Some disagree with me. I think the demise of Tucker
- 11:12Speaker 1: Carlson is happening in real time. I think his audience
- 11:15Speaker 1: is disappearing very quickly. I think these types of interviews
- 11:18Speaker 1: do an incredible damage to his integrity as character, and
- 11:24Speaker 1: these interviews just show how unhinged he is, which we've
- 11:26Speaker 1: been talking about for quite some time. He's also still
- 11:29Speaker 1: obsessed with you and had something very interesting to say
- 11:33Speaker 1: about you in this New York Times interview as well.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Who do you think is more morally repulsive Ted Cruz?
- 11:40Speaker 5: Who do you think Ted Cruz? Ted Cruz is a
- 11:44Speaker 5: sitting US Senator who has called for the killing of
- 11:49Speaker 5: people who did nothing wrong, whole populations who advocated for
- 11:53Speaker 5: this war. Nick Fuentes is like a kid. He's like
- 11:56Speaker 5: twenty six or seven. He has no power except his words. Here,
- 12:01Speaker 5: you have a public official who we pay, who has
- 12:05Speaker 5: actual power, who's voting for things, who's making policy decisions,
- 12:08Speaker 5: and those decisions would include in fact, they are focused
- 12:12Speaker 5: on the murder of people who did nothing wrong, and
- 12:14Speaker 5: yet no one thinks.
- 12:15Speaker 6: It's a big deal.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Well, it's just totally fine.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I mean, if there's tape of Nick Flente is saying
- 12:19Speaker 5: we should kill people because we hate their parents, or
- 12:23Speaker 5: it's okay to kill children, I would love to see
- 12:25Speaker 5: the tape because that's disgusting. And that's basically the entire
- 12:29Speaker 5: US Senate does every single day, and no one notices
- 12:31Speaker 5: Nick flent has said something naughty that I disagreed with.
- 12:34Speaker 5: He made fun of things that I don't think I
- 12:36Speaker 5: would never make.
- 12:36Speaker 7: Fuse he's a white nationalist, was denied the Holocaust, and
- 12:40Speaker 7: what I will say than killing kids from my.
- 12:44Speaker 6: Understanding of my own.
- 12:46Speaker 7: You know, I was just in Germany recently, and you know,
- 12:51Speaker 7: it was such a good reminder that the Holocaust didn't
- 12:55Speaker 7: start with the gassing of Jews. It started with the
- 12:57Speaker 7: dehumanization of Jews. It was Lang language that was used.
- 13:01Speaker 7: And again that is what I couldn't create more.
- 13:05Speaker 5: And that's why when you have a US Senator, a
- 13:08Speaker 5: member of Congress, a US ambassador waving away civilian deaths
- 13:13Speaker 5: as if they don't matter. That's the language of genocide
- 13:16Speaker 5: which results. And this is the lesson of the Holocaust
- 13:18Speaker 5: in genocide itself, and it has so the lesson for
- 13:21Speaker 5: me really watching all of this is that this can
- 13:26Speaker 5: happen in civilized countries, in all human beings, there is
- 13:31Speaker 5: the capacity to ignore the evil right in front of you.
- 13:34Speaker 5: And I'm my point is it's happening right now. And
- 13:37Speaker 5: my job, they said I have one, I don't really
- 13:38Speaker 5: have a job, but I just want to remind people
- 13:41Speaker 5: that were all capable of that, including me, and that we're.
- 13:44Speaker 6: Watching it right now.
- 13:45Speaker 5: And if you think that Nick Fuents is a greater
- 13:47Speaker 5: threat to other human beings than Ted Cruz.
- 13:52Speaker 8: I would love to know how I can imagine people
- 13:55Speaker 8: hearing this and thinking you are soft peddling the quintas
- 13:59Speaker 8: you are apologizes.
- 14:02Speaker 5: I'm trying to awaken people to killing of innocence in
- 14:06Speaker 5: our midst which we are not only encouraged to ignore,
- 14:09Speaker 5: but really told to ignore on pain of being denounced.
- 14:13Speaker 5: And I'm just saying no, I'm not doing that.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Senator Nick foyts a holocaust denier.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Yeah, but that days even touch it. Let's start with
- 14:24Speaker 4: the fact that this loan I think he brought me
- 14:27Speaker 4: up eight or nine times in that interview. Apparently I
- 14:30Speaker 4: am living completely rent free in his brain, and every
- 14:34Speaker 4: word he's saying is a brazen lie. I am fifty
- 14:37Speaker 4: five years old. Never once have I called for the
- 14:39Speaker 4: murder of innocence. Never once have I called for the
- 14:41Speaker 4: murder of children. By the way, he claims that I
- 14:43Speaker 4: do that, He claims that the entire us said it
- 14:46Speaker 4: does that. And it's just it's at a point where
- 14:49Speaker 4: it's a pathological lie. There's no basis in fact, there's
- 14:53Speaker 4: no evidence.
- 14:54Speaker 2: He just says it.
- 14:54Speaker 4: He just asserts it, and he knows he's lying. He
- 14:58Speaker 4: doesn't care he's lying. By the way, his defense of
- 15:01Speaker 4: Nick Quent says, well, nick Quent has said something naughty.
- 15:03Speaker 4: TI naughty. Okay, here's what Nick Quent has said. He
- 15:06Speaker 4: said Hitler was right, Hitler was very very cool. I
- 15:08Speaker 4: agree with Hitler. On Tucker's show, Nickquent has said his
- 15:12Speaker 4: mission in life is to defeat global jewelry. That's not
- 15:16Speaker 4: something naughty. That is a rabid Nazi bigot. He also
- 15:21Speaker 4: said Nickquentes also said that he celebrates Stalin's birthday every year.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Tucker nodded approvingly. And by the way, Tucker, there's a
- 15:30Speaker 4: reason why Tucker is celebrating Nick Fuentes. Tucker has gone
- 15:34Speaker 4: to the point now of embracing Nazis. It's not just
- 15:37Speaker 4: Nick Fuentes who's an open Nazi. Tucker had had one
- 15:41Speaker 4: lunatic professor on a show who said that Winston Churchill
- 15:45Speaker 4: was the villain of World War Two, and another lunatic
- 15:48Speaker 4: professor on a show who said, there's a good argument
- 15:50Speaker 4: the Americans should have supported the Nazis in World War Two.
- 15:54Speaker 2: No, there's not.
- 15:55Speaker 4: But Tucker is on a mission, and I believe at
- 15:58Speaker 4: this point I cannot prove it, but I'm leaf Tucker
- 16:00Speaker 4: is being compensated as being paid by Cutter or other
- 16:03Speaker 4: foreign nations. He is apologizing for Islamists, he is apologizing
- 16:07Speaker 4: for Sharia. He is apologizing for America haters. He is
- 16:10Speaker 4: attacking Trump every day, he is attacking Israel, He's attacking Jews.
- 16:15Speaker 4: He knows he's lying about me. But his mission is
- 16:17Speaker 4: also to normalize Nazis. By the way, one of the
- 16:20Speaker 4: things he said this week is Graham Plattner, the lunatic
- 16:25Speaker 4: Democrat nominee or likely nominee, almost inevitable nominee in Maine
- 16:29Speaker 4: for Senate, who is a self described communist. Graham Platner says,
- 16:33Speaker 4: I'm a communist and who has not just a Nazi
- 16:36Speaker 4: tattoo on his chest, but a toten komf, which is
- 16:39Speaker 4: the tattoo of the SS in the death chambers of
- 16:43Speaker 4: the concentration camps. You know what, Tucker Carlson said, Oh,
- 16:46Speaker 4: I want to interview Graham Plattner. I'm sure they do, baby,
- 16:49Speaker 4: they have matching Nazi tattoos. I don't know what tattoos
- 16:52Speaker 4: Tucker Carlson said, as Tucker would say, I'm just asking questions.
- 16:55Speaker 4: But apparently, if you're a Nazi, if you say sighile,
- 17:00Speaker 4: Tucker wants to elevate you.
- 17:02Speaker 3: And I got to say it and not just elevate,
- 17:05Speaker 3: you normalize, you make.
- 17:07Speaker 4: It go away. And listen, by the way, when you
- 17:12Speaker 4: lie about people, you notice his whole diatribe about me,
- 17:16Speaker 4: he provided no evidence what I just listened about, Tucker.
- 17:19Speaker 4: I can give you the episodes where he said every
- 17:21Speaker 4: one of those things, those are objective facts. But here's
- 17:24Speaker 4: so Tucker is now a professional liar who lives without facts.
- 17:29Speaker 4: And I want you to listen to this exchange. And
- 17:31Speaker 4: if you're watching on YouTube, it's even better if you
- 17:33Speaker 4: watch it, because it's not just me. Tucker has decided
- 17:36Speaker 4: he hates America, he hates Donald Trump, he hates Jews,
- 17:39Speaker 4: he hates capitalism. He had this other lunatic on his
- 17:42Speaker 4: show who said that Jesus hated capitalism and Jesus was
- 17:46Speaker 4: a socialist. He is attacked, he is all right. I
- 17:53Speaker 4: want you to listen to him being confronted over his
- 17:57Speaker 4: argument that Donald Trump is the Antichrist. This is what
- 18:00Speaker 4: Tucker has argued, and when he's confronted with his own words,
- 18:04Speaker 4: he just flat out lies.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Listen what I was saying, which is, you cannot mock
- 18:11Speaker 5: other people's gods and put yourself in their place.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Period.
- 18:15Speaker 5: That is a deal killer for me. That's worse than
- 18:17Speaker 5: the war with Iran in my opinion.
- 18:18Speaker 8: Yeah, but I asked, because you know you've been talking
- 18:21Speaker 8: on your.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Show about whether Trump is the Antichrist.
- 18:24Speaker 5: I have not said that on your show.
- 18:26Speaker 7: The day after Easter, you noted he did not put
- 18:28Speaker 7: his hand on the Bible during his swearing ceremony as president.
- 18:31Speaker 7: You said, and I'm quoting, maybe he didn't put his
- 18:34Speaker 7: hand on the Bible because he affirmatively rejects what's inside
- 18:36Speaker 7: that book. And then on a recent show you went further, saying,
- 18:40Speaker 7: here's a leader who's mocking the gods of his ancestors,
- 18:42Speaker 7: mocking the God of gods and exalting himself above them.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Could this be the Antichrist?
- 18:48Speaker 5: I actually did not say, could this be the Antichrist?
- 18:50Speaker 5: Here's a leader who's mocking the gods of his ancestors,
- 18:55Speaker 5: mocking the God of gods and exalting himself above them.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Can this be the Antichrist? Well, who knows. I don't
- 19:05Speaker 5: know where that comes from, but I know that those
- 19:07Speaker 5: words never left my lips because I'm not sure I
- 19:10Speaker 5: fully understand what the Antichrist is, if there's just one
- 19:13Speaker 5: I actually tried to understand it. I may have said
- 19:16Speaker 5: some are asking that. I'm not weighing on that because
- 19:19Speaker 5: I don't understand it.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Just to be to obviously the center.
- 19:24Speaker 3: He said that like fifteen days ago when the interview
- 19:26Speaker 3: took place.
- 19:27Speaker 4: By the way, he says, I may have said, some
- 19:30Speaker 4: are asking he didn't say that. She played what he said.
- 19:33Speaker 4: She played verbatim what he said. He asked, very directly,
- 19:38Speaker 4: is Donald J. Trump the Antichrist? Look, I'm willing to
- 19:40Speaker 4: answer that. No, I don't believe President Trump is the Antichrist.
- 19:44Speaker 4: But but Tucker doesn't live in the world of facts.
- 19:48Speaker 4: He doesn't live where any words he says matter and
- 19:53Speaker 4: the words he's saying. So there's good news and bad news.
- 19:56Speaker 4: The bad news is the words he's saying are having
- 19:59Speaker 4: really serious negative consequences. He is pushing anti Semitism. He's
- 20:04Speaker 4: pushing Jew hate every day, like every week his show
- 20:08Speaker 4: focuses on how the Jews are responsible for everything wrong
- 20:11Speaker 4: in the world. But he's also pushing America hate. He's
- 20:14Speaker 4: pushing how America is terrible. He's pushing Trump hate. He
- 20:17Speaker 4: has said he regrets supporting Trump. He wished Trump's had
- 20:19Speaker 4: lost I mean that's.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he said, that's his brother.
- 20:21Speaker 1: It was like this sad moment where they're like, we
- 20:25Speaker 1: are we are going to be held accountable for helping
- 20:27Speaker 1: this man win the White House like.
- 20:29Speaker 4: The So the good news is Tucker is becoming more
- 20:34Speaker 4: and more irrelevant each and every day. He's really talented.
- 20:37Speaker 4: He's a charming, charismatic guy. Even when he's lying to you.
- 20:40Speaker 4: He's like Obi Wan Kenobi and Star Wars going. These
- 20:43Speaker 4: are not the drones you're looking for. He just flat
- 20:46Speaker 4: out lies, but he's charming and good at it. But
- 20:49Speaker 4: the good news is he is becoming so irrelevant right now.
- 20:55Speaker 4: And and listen, I hope he has a really nice
- 20:57Speaker 4: home and cutter. By the way, you may not know this,
- 20:59Speaker 4: but he'd be that he has bought a home and cutter.
- 21:04Speaker 4: He also has repeatedly praised the Ayatola, the president of Iran.
- 21:07Speaker 4: He's praised Maduro, He's praised Mandami. Like, if you're a hitler,
- 21:11Speaker 4: if you're a hitler, if you're a hitler lover, if
- 21:14Speaker 4: you're a communist, if you're a leftist, if you are
- 21:18Speaker 4: if you're an America hater, if you're an Islamist, if
- 21:21Speaker 4: you're an Ayatola, Tucker Carlson loves you. If you're actually
- 21:25Speaker 4: an American who believes in free enterprise, who believes in America,
- 21:29Speaker 4: who believes in America. First, Tucker hates your guts and
- 21:32Speaker 4: his mission is to attack you. And I think that's
- 21:34Speaker 4: why more and more people are moving away from At
- 21:37Speaker 4: this point, it's so disconnected from reality that it's just
- 21:42Speaker 4: kind of sad.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Don't forget Share this podcast wherever you can with your
- 21:46Speaker 1: family and your friends, and I'll see.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You back here tomorrow. As before.
- 21:49Speaker 1: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
- 21:52Speaker 1: on this topic, you can go back and now the
- 21:54Speaker 1: podcast from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I want to get back to the big story, number
- 22:00Speaker 1: three of the week.
- 22:01Speaker 2: You may have missed.
- 22:02Speaker 1: All right, Senator, this is a very interesting and just
- 22:05Speaker 1: weird story. You have a liberal Democratic Congresswoman Jack Howell
- 22:09Speaker 1: who has defies President Trump to literally go work with
- 22:14Speaker 1: a foreign country, Cuba, to try to get them oil.
- 22:20Speaker 1: And I'm pretty sure that if I'm looking at this
- 22:22Speaker 1: the right way, this could be against the law. What
- 22:25Speaker 1: she's now trying to do is again advocate for Cuba.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Right now, well, Ben, let me make a statement that
- 22:32Speaker 4: I don't want to be true, and I want to
- 22:34Speaker 4: make the statement and then we're going to assess the
- 22:36Speaker 4: facts to determine if it's true. Here's the statement. Too
- 22:41Speaker 4: many elected Democrats in Congress hate America and actively aggressively
- 22:50Speaker 4: and enthusiastically support the communist enemies of America. Now as
- 22:56Speaker 4: I say that, listen to someone who loves our country.
- 22:59Speaker 4: I hate those words. I don't want them to be true.
- 23:02Speaker 4: I want you to listen to the words of Permeila Jayapol,
- 23:07Speaker 4: who is a left wing, progressive communist member of the
- 23:12Speaker 4: Democrat Party from Washington. Listened to what she had to
- 23:16Speaker 4: say about what she's been doing landing.
- 23:19Speaker 9: In the January, Trump issued an executive order threatening tariffs
- 23:24Speaker 9: on any country's supply of fuel to Cuba. This was
- 23:27Speaker 9: this January, just a few months ago, and oil shipments
- 23:30Speaker 9: from Venezuela, that's where Cuba had been getting it's oiled,
- 23:35Speaker 9: were halted after the US operations to kidnap Nicholas Baduro.
- 23:40Speaker 9: Since January, only one Russian tanker of oil has made
- 23:45Speaker 9: it to Cuba. In fact, it landed just a couple
- 23:49Speaker 9: of days before I landed. And one tanker has enough
- 23:54Speaker 9: oil basically for ten to fourteen days of Cuba's oil needs,
- 23:59Speaker 9: so it's a very limited amount of time. Now Russias
- 24:02Speaker 9: said they're going to send another tanker. I was in
- 24:06Speaker 9: conversations with the ambassadors from Mexico and some other places,
- 24:10Speaker 9: and I know other countries in Latin America trying to
- 24:12Speaker 9: figure out how to get oiled their body. It is
- 24:16Speaker 9: a crisis beyond imagination. Just this past Friday, on me First,
- 24:22Speaker 9: Trump signed a broad executive order that widens sanctions and
- 24:26Speaker 9: allows for new penalties similar to what we have for
- 24:30Speaker 9: Iran and Russia against foreign base and firms that are
- 24:34Speaker 9: dealing with Cuba. And it also reinforces the ban on
- 24:38Speaker 9: US tourism. I have called these sanctions an economic bombing
- 24:46Speaker 9: of the infrastructure of Cuba. It is illegal, it is
- 24:49Speaker 9: against the war being. You're talking about this in Iran. Obviously,
- 24:51Speaker 9: to bomb the infrastructure of any country that is against
- 24:55Speaker 9: international law. This is essentially doing the same thing. It
- 25:00Speaker 9: is bombing the infrastructure of Cuba with economic sanctions that
- 25:06Speaker 9: essentially ensure that the infrastructure collapses.
- 25:12Speaker 1: There's something interesting that she said there. She kept saying
- 25:15Speaker 1: the kidnap Maduro like it was a crime center. I'm like,
- 25:20Speaker 1: which I mean this? Like whose side is she on?
- 25:23Speaker 1: Is that on the side of Maduro and.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Cuba?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Because the way she said it there, she was saying
- 25:29Speaker 1: like it was a crime what America was doing.
- 25:32Speaker 4: So listen, there used to be a rule that politics
- 25:37Speaker 4: ends at our water's edge. I like that rule. I
- 25:41Speaker 4: liked a time where we said, gosh, Democrats and Republicans
- 25:45Speaker 4: will disagree, will disagree on how high the top marginal
- 25:48Speaker 4: tax rate should be, will disagree on some policy questions.
- 25:51Speaker 4: But when it comes to defending America, when it comes
- 25:54Speaker 4: to standing with American servicemen and women, when it comes
- 25:57Speaker 4: to standing up against her enemies, we're going to stand united. Sadly,
- 26:01Speaker 4: that is not this world Representative Jayapaul, who I've never met.
- 26:05Speaker 4: She's a very, very left wing. She is part of
- 26:08Speaker 4: the squad. She is part of AOC and ilhan Omar
- 26:12Speaker 4: and these extremely left wing House members. Look when she
- 26:18Speaker 4: says the kidnapping of Nicholas madurea understand, Nicholas Maudua was
- 26:22Speaker 4: indicted for being a massive narco trafficker. Our FBI came down,
- 26:27Speaker 4: executed a legitimate arrest warrant. The Delta Force accompanied them
- 26:32Speaker 4: to carry out that arrest warrant. She describes it as
- 26:36Speaker 4: the kidnapping. That is language that is identical to what
- 26:40Speaker 4: every enemy of America would say. The last I checked
- 26:44Speaker 4: executing a legitimate arrest warrant Nicholas Maduro number one, he's
- 26:48Speaker 4: a tyrant who's responsible for massive oppression of his people,
- 26:52Speaker 4: for murder, for torture, for he has destroyed Venezuela, just
- 26:57Speaker 4: like Hua Chavis has. But you know what, that's not
- 26:59Speaker 4: what he was indicted for. That's not what he was
- 27:01Speaker 4: arrested for. He is a huge narco trafficker and he
- 27:06Speaker 4: has killed thousands of Americans through the drugs he's flooded
- 27:09Speaker 4: into this country. And her view is Nicholas Maduro is
- 27:12Speaker 4: the victim. It is the evil American government that dared
- 27:17Speaker 4: arrest this narco trafficker. So on Cuba, understand she is unambiguous.
- 27:23Speaker 4: She stands with the Cuban communist government. And I will
- 27:25Speaker 4: say this, My family was imprisoned and tortured by Cuban communists.
- 27:31Speaker 4: I don't take this as cute. I don't take this
- 27:34Speaker 4: as fun. I get that she's from Washington State. I
- 27:36Speaker 4: guess there are a bunch of leftists who snapped their
- 27:38Speaker 4: fingers at yes, yes, yes, Communism is wonderful because they're
- 27:42Speaker 4: soft and weak and they hate American But I gotta
- 27:47Speaker 4: say the idea that they are actively trying to smuggle
- 27:51Speaker 4: fuel into Cuba because their objective is they want the
- 27:57Speaker 4: communist regime in Cuba to stay and to exist I
- 28:02Speaker 4: find infuriating. Look, Ben, did you ever have a chance
- 28:06Speaker 4: to meet my Theo Sonya?
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yes?
- 28:09Speaker 3: I actually did once at an election event.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Okay, my Theos Sonia my aunt. She's my father's kid's sister.
- 28:16Speaker 4: I adored her. She was an amazing, spectacular person. She
- 28:21Speaker 4: passed away earlier this year.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:24Speaker 4: My nickname, what I've called her my whole life, is
- 28:26Speaker 4: my Theoloka, which is Spanish for crazy ant. She was
- 28:30Speaker 4: a fireball. She died at eighty two. She lived a
- 28:32Speaker 4: wonderful life, a life that I celebrate. She was in
- 28:36Speaker 4: Cuba after the revolution. She fought in the Cuban Revolution.
- 28:40Speaker 4: She was tortured in Cuban prisons. When she was dying.
- 28:45Speaker 4: She lived in Dallas. She was fading away earlier this year,
- 28:49Speaker 4: and she was on her deathbed. We all knew she
- 28:51Speaker 4: was going and I told her. It was right after
- 28:53Speaker 4: Baduro had been arrested. And I told her, I said, Diah,
- 28:58Speaker 4: we just arrested the Cuba's next Cuba is going to fall.
- 29:05Speaker 4: And I got to say, the look of joy in
- 29:08Speaker 4: her face. And there are millions of people in America,
- 29:13Speaker 4: millions of Cubans, Americans, millions of Venezuelan Americans, millions of
- 29:18Speaker 4: Chinese Americans and Korean Americans, and everyone who has been
- 29:22Speaker 4: a victim of communism who has understood listen, then I
- 29:27Speaker 4: believe communism is the most evil ideology that the world
- 29:31Speaker 4: has ever produced. There's been no ideology in American history
- 29:34Speaker 4: and world history that has resulted in more murder, more torture,
- 29:40Speaker 4: more slavery, more oppression, more poverty, and more misery than
- 29:47Speaker 4: than than China. And to listen to an elected member
- 29:54Speaker 4: of Congress, a leader of the Democrat Party saying she
- 29:59Speaker 4: desperately wants to smuggle fueled in because her objective is
- 30:03Speaker 4: to save the communist government in Cuba, I gotta say
- 30:07Speaker 4: it will be an amazing thing. I don't know what's
- 30:10Speaker 4: going to happen in Cuba, but we have a greater
- 30:13Speaker 4: opportunity right now than at any point in my lifetime
- 30:15Speaker 4: to see the communist regime fall. And then here's what
- 30:18Speaker 4: I want to see happen. I want to see this
- 30:21Speaker 4: communist regime fall. I want to see a new government
- 30:25Speaker 4: in Cuba that is democratically elected, that is legitimate. That
- 30:29Speaker 4: that is just two things that embraces free markets and
- 30:34Speaker 4: that wants to be friends with America. And let me
- 30:36Speaker 4: tell you what that will look like if that happens.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Number one, I would love to see Cuba be this oasis,
- 30:44Speaker 4: a free enterprise, much like a Singapore or a Hong
- 30:47Speaker 4: Kong before China took it over. I think it could
- 30:50Speaker 4: be extraordinary. But number two, Cuba has a massive advantage.
- 30:55Speaker 4: There are millions of Cuban expats, Cubans who fled Cuba,
- 31:00Speaker 4: came to America seeking freedom, who if Cuba had a
- 31:05Speaker 4: free market government that was friends with America, would eagerly
- 31:10Speaker 4: invest in Cuba. There would be billions of dollars, tens
- 31:13Speaker 4: of billions of dollars that would be invested in Cuba.
- 31:16Speaker 4: You would see a mass of capital. Cuba is stuck
- 31:20Speaker 4: in the dark ages. It's like going to Cuba and
- 31:22Speaker 4: I've never been. I will go to Cuba when we
- 31:24Speaker 4: have a free Cuba. I do not wish to go
- 31:26Speaker 4: to Cube under communism. But Cuba, the cars they drive,
- 31:29Speaker 4: do you know the cars they drive are from the
- 31:31Speaker 4: nineteen fifties. It's like the movie The Land that Time Forgot.
- 31:36Speaker 4: When the revolution happened, the cars stopped. The innovation, stopped
- 31:41Speaker 4: the food, stop the misery, stop the poverty, everything frozen time.
- 31:46Speaker 4: And I'll tell you Cuba has some of the most
- 31:48Speaker 4: beautiful beaches in the face of the planet. If we
- 31:51Speaker 4: have a free market government that's friends with America, we
- 31:55Speaker 4: will see this tourist oasis, billions of dollars flooding into
- 32:00Speaker 4: Cuba and it's just ninety miles off the coast of America.
- 32:03Speaker 4: And what befuddles man. I want to ask you this, Ben,
- 32:08Speaker 4: take a minute, get in the mind of a leftist
- 32:12Speaker 4: congress Wan Premier j Pal Why would you root for
- 32:16Speaker 4: Cuban communists over America.
- 32:18Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with sentater
