- 1:49Speaker 4: Look me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Come on, you think I sure will? Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 8: You are listening to the voice, Come on, dig me
- 2:08Speaker 8: now going and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:14Speaker 8: I love it when I run up into people and
- 2:16Speaker 8: they say that to me. They say, hey, Steve Harvey
- 2:18Speaker 8: got a radio show. Then they wink at me. I
- 2:20Speaker 8: know they listening. You know, I got a lot off
- 2:23Speaker 8: my chest yesterday. I wanted to clear some things up.
- 2:25Speaker 8: And I appreciate y'all giving me a minute because sometimes,
- 2:28Speaker 8: you know, you just got to say some things out loud.
- 2:31Speaker 8: Not complaining, but hey, just verbalizing, but realizing that I
- 2:36Speaker 8: got to keep going anyway. And that's my words this
- 2:39Speaker 8: morning to you, that I want you to keep pushing
- 2:45Speaker 8: no matter what happens. I want to share something with
- 2:49Speaker 8: you that's important, that's very very important.
- 2:54Speaker 2: See you have to give God something too blessed.
- 2:59Speaker 8: You know, if your prayer is asking for God's blessings,
- 3:04Speaker 8: you got to give him something to work with.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Now, you know, you.
- 3:10Speaker 8: Gotta show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude. You gotta
- 3:16Speaker 8: let him know that you're in it for the long haul.
- 3:20Speaker 8: No matter what happens. Don't turn around. You will never
- 3:26Speaker 8: ever see what the end could be. If you turn
- 3:31Speaker 8: around and go back, You'll never know what the end
- 3:34Speaker 8: could have been had you stuck it out.
- 3:38Speaker 2: You'll never know.
- 3:41Speaker 8: How good it could have gotten had you not just
- 3:45Speaker 8: weathered the storm. That's the thing that gets most people.
- 3:52Speaker 8: They get tough for him, It get hard for him,
- 3:56Speaker 8: and then they let doubts set in, and then those
- 3:58Speaker 8: doubts become fat and the next thing you know, they
- 4:02Speaker 8: give up. Had you not given up, or had you
- 4:06Speaker 8: given your best, what the results or outcome could have been.
- 4:11Speaker 8: I look back on my life on so many occasions
- 4:15Speaker 8: where in college I wasn't giving my best, I flunked out.
- 4:21Speaker 8: Now it's easy to look at my life now and go, yeah,
- 4:25Speaker 8: but look at you now. But back then, man, it
- 4:28Speaker 8: cost me for so many years that failing to finish
- 4:35Speaker 8: that not giving my all. It cost me a number
- 4:40Speaker 8: of years. I wish I could say that it didn't
- 4:44Speaker 8: mean nothing, that it was just a blimp on the
- 4:46Speaker 8: radar screen screen, but at the time it was major.
- 4:50Speaker 8: And so you have a lot of decisions in your
- 4:52Speaker 8: life that are happening now. You may be in your twenties,
- 4:56Speaker 8: your late teens, you could be in your early thirties,
- 4:58Speaker 8: and it's happening. But guess what you'll eventually get through
- 5:03Speaker 8: it provided one thing you never give up.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You never turn around and go back.
- 5:11Speaker 8: Had I written myself off because of one failure, see,
- 5:15Speaker 8: and this is where so many people go wrong at too.
- 5:18Speaker 8: You write yourself off after you failed at something, the
- 5:23Speaker 8: one thing you thought you wanted to accomplish, and you
- 5:26Speaker 8: failed at it. Now you write yourself off as a failure.
- 5:29Speaker 8: Now you go settle on into life and just see
- 5:32Speaker 8: what hand you get. Had when I flunked out of college,
- 5:37Speaker 8: had I written myself off as a failure, I wouldn't
- 5:40Speaker 8: be here today. When I lost my carpet cleaner company,
- 5:44Speaker 8: I would have written myself as a failure. And I
- 5:47Speaker 8: wouldn't be here today when I didn't become a diamond
- 5:50Speaker 8: distributed in Amway or a direct distributor in Amway, even
- 5:55Speaker 8: I would have written myself as a failure and I
- 5:58Speaker 8: wouldn't be here today. When I bought a distribution kit
- 6:03Speaker 8: to become a distributor of the Bohemian Diet and I
- 6:08Speaker 8: didn't make it, I would have written myself as a failure.
- 6:12Speaker 8: When I became an Al Williams distributor and I didn't
- 6:15Speaker 8: make it, I would have written myself as a failure,
- 6:17Speaker 8: and I wouldn't be here today.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Oh, I got a list for you.
- 6:22Speaker 8: When I got laid off at for a motor company,
- 6:25Speaker 8: had I written myself as a failure, I wouldn't have
- 6:27Speaker 8: made it. Do you need some more? Because I have
- 6:33Speaker 8: a story filled with mishaps. I have a story filled
- 6:39Speaker 8: with failures. Couple of things now, the grace of God
- 6:44Speaker 8: and his mercy which is available to us all.
- 6:48Speaker 2: See that's the key, y'all.
- 6:50Speaker 8: Because of his mercy, because of his willingness to forgive
- 6:56Speaker 8: and to even understand, we do the things we do.
- 7:02Speaker 8: In all of my shortcomings, failed marriages I'm talking about,
- 7:08Speaker 8: man got it all wrong. Can't blame nobody else, It's
- 7:13Speaker 8: just me. Steve ain't have it together at that point,
- 7:16Speaker 8: in life, I've could have written myself as a failure
- 7:20Speaker 8: the first time I could have. I just could have
- 7:24Speaker 8: gave up on it after the second one. And please
- 7:28Speaker 8: know that this is an admission. This ain't bragging. So
- 7:31Speaker 8: before you start in with me, understand what I'm saying.
- 7:34Speaker 8: I'm pointing out in my life a series of missteps
- 7:40Speaker 8: and failures. But how I still get here today. Couple
- 7:46Speaker 8: of things. God's grace and mercy is first. But that's
- 7:52Speaker 8: the key, that's for everybody see if it's God's willingness
- 7:57Speaker 8: to forgive you and God's understanding of why we do
- 8:02Speaker 8: what we do because he said we wasn't gonna be perfect.
- 8:06Speaker 8: So in all of your imperfections, your creator told you
- 8:10Speaker 8: you would not be perfect. He's said to you, it's
- 8:13Speaker 8: out there. I don't care which one of the books
- 8:16Speaker 8: you read, it tells you that.
- 8:20Speaker 2: So guess what. With that in mind, he has a
- 8:24Speaker 2: grace that he has. It's like a grace period.
- 8:27Speaker 8: It's like when you don't pay your insurance premium on
- 8:30Speaker 8: the day that is due. The next day, they don't
- 8:33Speaker 8: just cancel your insurance premium. They have a grace period
- 8:38Speaker 8: because they ain't trying to stop this money from coming in.
- 8:42Speaker 8: But when it comes to God, there's no money required.
- 8:45Speaker 8: He just gives you the grace freely. It don't cost
- 8:48Speaker 8: you nothing. See, you gotta tap into that, y'all. You
- 8:51Speaker 8: gotta get in touch with that, because that's an important
- 8:54Speaker 8: part to making it. Understanding that His grace is available.
- 8:58Speaker 8: So when you make a mistake, So when you fail
- 9:02Speaker 8: at it, he has a loophole in the contract with
- 9:06Speaker 8: him that allows you to make mistakes, that allows you
- 9:09Speaker 8: to get it wrong, that allows you to fail time
- 9:12Speaker 8: and time and time again. But if you never give up,
- 9:16Speaker 8: if you keep getting up, if you keep trying, if
- 9:19Speaker 8: you keep striving, if you keep making the effort to
- 9:23Speaker 8: go forward and not go back, God has a blessing
- 9:27Speaker 8: for you, and He has it in abundance for you,
- 9:30Speaker 8: and God will give it to you at the right time.
- 9:33Speaker 2: But you got to be ready. Oh, I want it
- 9:37Speaker 2: to be successful.
- 9:39Speaker 8: But if He had given it to me back then
- 9:42Speaker 8: I wouldn't have handled it correctly because I would have
- 9:45Speaker 8: made some more mistakes along the way. So you make
- 9:49Speaker 8: the mistakes to learn the lessons. Lord, ain't God been
- 9:54Speaker 8: good to me? I ain't gonna lie to you.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Cool, You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, you know what twenty twenty six is here?
- 10:10Speaker 2: You are here, We are here.
- 10:12Speaker 8: There's one statement that should follow that, and I'm gonna
- 10:16Speaker 8: make it.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Ain't God good man, Yes, he is. Believe that. No
- 10:25Speaker 2: that I don't. And I'm gonna just be real with you.
- 10:29Speaker 8: If you had told me thirty years ago, forty years ago,
- 10:34Speaker 8: that I would be alive in twenty twenty six, I
- 10:37Speaker 8: would have completely ignored you because what was happening to
- 10:43Speaker 8: me forty years ago? He let me tell you some man,
- 10:47Speaker 8: I was just trying to get to tomorrow. You're talking
- 10:50Speaker 8: about twenty twenty six. Man, God is good. That's all
- 10:55Speaker 8: I have to say. Happy New Year to everybody, ladies

- 11:34Speaker 8: Just uh, well I don't want to get into that
- 11:38Speaker 8: because then people feel bad for me.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I didn't. It wasn't a feel bad moment, but it's
- 11:44Speaker 2: the first.

- 11:49Speaker 8: Christmas Day and that's never happened in my life. Yeah,
- 11:54Speaker 8: that's never happened in my life. But it was for

- 11:58Speaker 2: Margore was visiting a dad in Memphis. That was good.
- 12:03Speaker 8: You know, he said he got a little ill, and

- 12:16Speaker 8: is ranked number twenty four in the country basketball.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Oh really, yeah, And I.
- 12:25Speaker 8: Know that's big because I've never been ranked. I wasn't
- 12:30Speaker 8: in the top one thousand when I was in the eighth.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Look at him, looking at it, he's.
- 12:38Speaker 8: Got to be like, what ten eleven, he's in the
- 12:42Speaker 8: class of twenty thirty four, twenty thirty five.
- 12:49Speaker 2: That's a lot of add lord, So I figured that's
- 12:54Speaker 2: ten nine years, right, probably.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Eight oh eight.
- 12:59Speaker 9: He probably probably eight, that's what you're saying.

- 23:18Speaker 5: I told her to go for it, but I didn't
- 23:20Speaker 5: mean it. Is it normal for a friend to ask that?

- 25:24Speaker 5: They said that some of the Colonne testers were stolen
- 25:27Speaker 5: recently and they took my bottle and kept it. Should
- 25:30Speaker 5: I ask my co worker if she stole my gift?
- 25:34Speaker 1: What you.
- 25:38Speaker 8: Well, you got a bottle that's half food. You already
- 25:43Speaker 8: know m that. And then as somebody said, somebody stole

- 26:10Speaker 2: Oh you know, she wrapped it up in everything.
- 26:12Speaker 8: Uh huh and he figured, oh wow, this half a bottle.

- 26:37Speaker 8: You didn't have to get your fingernails under that tip
- 26:39Speaker 8: and try to uh uh, I promise you that wasn't
- 26:42Speaker 8: on there.
- 26:46Speaker 1: It was a tester. It was a tester.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, me, I had noticed that because I.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Paid Did you notice everything? Yeah?
- 26:56Speaker 2: All right?
- 26:57Speaker 5: Moving on to Shana and Irving, Shanna, Right, it's my
- 27:00Speaker 5: fiance took a week off from work last month, and
- 27:03Speaker 5: I just found out he normally dresses casually for work,
- 27:07Speaker 5: so I assumed he was going to work when he
- 27:10Speaker 5: left home. His daughter is the one that snitched on him.
- 27:13Speaker 5: Why didn't he tell me he was off.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Because he didn't want to spend his off time with you?
- 27:20Speaker 8: Obviously he wanted to be off off work, off for you. Wow,
- 27:30Speaker 8: off of your mind, off his time. And he left
- 27:36Speaker 8: out that house every day like he was going somewhere. Hey,
- 27:39Speaker 8: that man probably just went out somewhere and sat down
- 27:42Speaker 8: and win.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Because this is her fiance, Celo. They're getting married.
- 27:48Speaker 8: Okay, though they not gonna make it. Yeah, he tired
- 27:53Speaker 8: of you already.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Already lying to you. Wow. All right, This is the
- 28:00Speaker 1: last one. This is from Eric in Memphis.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Eric writes, my girlfriend's parents got her a new puppy
- 28:06Speaker 5: for Christmas. Her old dog died in twenty twenty four,
- 28:11Speaker 5: and I have been talking about getting another dog when
- 28:13Speaker 5: the time is right. Her parents said they decided it
- 28:17Speaker 5: was perfect timing. I'm planning to propose on her birthday
- 28:21Speaker 5: this year. Will her parents be a problem in our marriage?
- 28:28Speaker 2: Good? Question.
- 28:29Speaker 8: Well, brouh, y'all not Mary, you ain't proposed they bought
- 28:35Speaker 8: their daughter dog. Obviously they know the daughter missed a
- 28:38Speaker 8: dog and they bought the dog.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Are the parents going to be a problem. I don't.
- 28:44Speaker 2: They bought a dog. Man.
- 28:47Speaker 5: Yeah, but he thinks they're interfering because.
- 28:51Speaker 8: Well, no, he said he was going to buy her
- 28:54Speaker 8: a dog at what we thought was the appropriate time.
- 28:58Speaker 2: What you will tell that to her mom and daddy?
- 29:01Speaker 1: Obviously not.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So they bought the dog. Hey, dog, listen to me.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Obviously you got.
- 29:09Speaker 8: Some control stuff going on if you wanted to have
- 29:12Speaker 8: control of that, and you didn't. It's a dog home.
- 29:17Speaker 5: So what is what are you saying? You think they're
- 29:21Speaker 5: gonna make it when they get married?
- 29:24Speaker 2: Are they gonna I don't know about this married, but
- 29:26Speaker 2: that dog don't have to.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Don't go there?
- 29:30Speaker 2: Uh that's where you go? Have you lost your mind? Puppy?
- 29:35Speaker 8: He don't baby flying you, puppy. I'm just saying, as
- 29:41Speaker 8: a puppy, you have to whoo, Ralphie, Ralphie. I think
- 29:51Speaker 8: he's gonna be a find this way back home. I've
- 29:53Speaker 8: never heard of puppy find their way back home. I
- 29:57Speaker 8: can get up there and being nice, nice, nice little
- 30:01Speaker 8: mountain family, mountain line, adopt him or something.
- 30:04Speaker 2: You know, I'll see them videos all time. Video.
- 30:09Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Don't ask him, don't from
- 30:14Speaker 1: nothing else.
- 30:15Speaker 2: This morn nothing showed some white people.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Now it's off the all.
- 30:23Speaker 5: Right, clo coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:27Speaker 5: we will have some entertainment news for you right after this.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Well, guys, today is January sixth, and we all know
- 30:41Speaker 5: what day that is. Back on this day in twenty
- 30:43Speaker 5: twenty one, President Trump urged his supporters to march to
- 30:47Speaker 5: the Capitol, where the White House and Senate convene to
- 30:50Speaker 5: certify the election results, which Trump lost to Joe Biden.
- 30:54Speaker 5: Trump instructed the crowd to quote march over to the
- 30:57Speaker 5: Capitol building, to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,
- 31:02Speaker 5: and to quote fight like hell. According to CBS News,
- 31:06Speaker 5: President Trump granted pardons to over fifteen hundred defendants, freeing
- 31:11Speaker 5: them from criminal liability. Capitol police officers, along with other
- 31:16Speaker 5: political leaders, are still questioning the president's narrative, asking if
- 31:20Speaker 5: they should disbelieve what they saw that day that was
- 31:25Speaker 5: a dark day in history.
- 31:27Speaker 2: He freed all in people.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, clemency.
- 31:32Speaker 8: Yeah, you know, if somebody asked me over the holiday,
- 31:35Speaker 8: just says Steve this year, are you going to take
- 31:38Speaker 8: a more proactive approach like some of your counterparts like
- 31:43Speaker 8: Steven A and people who have microphone power to speak
- 31:47Speaker 8: out on more political issues. And I went absolutely not,
- 31:51Speaker 8: absolutely not, I said, because first of all, I told
- 31:56Speaker 8: y'all to vote.
- 31:59Speaker 2: We beg y'all, and to vote yes.
- 32:06Speaker 8: And y'all decided that he was a better option than
- 32:12Speaker 8: Kamala Harris. Okay, I accept your decision and now you too.
- 32:20Speaker 8: So no, no, no, I'm not finished spend the next
- 32:23Speaker 8: four years hating everything this man do, because do you
- 32:27Speaker 8: know what, my life would now be filled with hate
- 32:31Speaker 8: because he has done so many things counter to my
- 32:35Speaker 8: beliefs and my attitude towards other human beings, my attitude
- 32:41Speaker 8: towards countries in Africa, Haiti, Samalian people.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Oh and oh, by the way, to all y'all.
- 32:49Speaker 8: Samarians out there that keep talking about y'all ain't black,
- 32:52Speaker 8: welcome to the club, because he is. I'm so sick
- 32:57Speaker 8: of seeing them things pop up on my time, the
- 33:00Speaker 8: way that this whole thing with ice, the commercials on
- 33:03Speaker 8: TV to get more ice agents, the way they allow
- 33:07Speaker 8: these ice agents to not have to show ID or
- 33:10Speaker 8: they face the treatment of all the brown people over here,
- 33:15Speaker 8: because I ain't stopping nobody white.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It's just brown people. So I don't like nothing.
- 33:24Speaker 12: Man.
- 33:24Speaker 8: No, the answer to the question is no. We will
- 33:27Speaker 8: not be taking more of a political stance on this show.
- 33:31Speaker 8: And my suggestion to Steven A. Smith Bow he messed
- 33:34Speaker 8: his money up. You need to quit taking that or
- 33:38Speaker 8: at least research what you're gonna say. Who do you
- 33:40Speaker 8: talk to before you start talking?
- 33:43Speaker 1: But what more do they want us to do?
- 33:45Speaker 2: Though?
- 33:45Speaker 5: Because we do? You do talk about it? Well, I
- 33:49Speaker 5: mean it comes up.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Well, we're not doing anymore.
- 33:57Speaker 1: You're at your limits. Yeah, and you were. We were
- 34:01Speaker 1: proactive from the very beginning. Yes, everybody reacting. Yes, we told.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Y'all and.
- 34:13Speaker 8: I'm not going to fight this administration because the people
- 34:17Speaker 8: who have the power and the votes to fight him
- 34:21Speaker 8: in the House and Senate ain't. So what you want
- 34:25Speaker 8: me to do? And then see, we don't get to
- 34:27Speaker 8: vote on foreign policy. How many of y'all voted to
- 34:30Speaker 8: take over Venezuela? Anybody? How many of y'all voted on
- 34:35Speaker 8: the strikes of the the as strikes and all them votes. Anybody,
- 34:40Speaker 8: none of us? What one of y'all ordered to strike
- 34:44Speaker 8: over to Iran? Anybody?
- 34:48Speaker 2: None of us?
- 34:49Speaker 8: Yeah, and none of anybody trying to stop the war
- 34:54Speaker 8: in Gaza, anybody.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Well, the midterms are coming up?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Why why?
- 35:00Speaker 15: Why?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Why these countries?
- 35:02Speaker 12: I don't understand if we steal y'all's presidentcy wy, don't
- 35:05Speaker 12: y'all come still hours? You know fails back? Take hours, man,
- 35:13Speaker 12: We'll leave a gato man. Come get it. We took y'all,
- 35:17Speaker 12: Come take hours.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Come on now.
- 35:20Speaker 5: He says a lot of stupid stuff, but that was
- 35:22Speaker 5: good right there, that makes sense.
- 35:26Speaker 12: Just just get hours. Yeah, I love what you president for.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you finish.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Get a phone called from uh mister Miles. Yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 8: It's just crazy, man. This is the craziest president in
- 35:55Speaker 8: the history of this country. And of recorded statements. Nobody
- 36:01Speaker 8: lies more, nobody doesn't knows less.
- 36:06Speaker 2: We're gonna lower drug prices by fifteen sixteen thousand percent.
- 36:13Speaker 9: Health care prices costs are up right now, twenty six.
- 36:19Speaker 1: And people did vote for that thing.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Well, he's gonna fix it.
- 36:25Speaker 1: We got health care.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and so does the Congress and Senate.
- 36:29Speaker 8: Matter of fact, one of the best healthcare systems anywhere,
- 36:33Speaker 8: and they don't care if y'all don't have proper health care.
- 36:38Speaker 8: That hatred for Obamacare is so severe that they don't
- 36:44Speaker 8: care if you don't get no kind of care as
- 36:46Speaker 8: long as it ain't that one. And they don't care
- 36:48Speaker 8: what your care costs, as long as it ain't from
- 36:52Speaker 8: Obamacare slash Affordable health Care Act.
- 36:56Speaker 2: That is hatred had a whole level graduate. No, we
- 37:03Speaker 2: won't do it. No more political stuff, all right.
- 37:07Speaker 5: Coming up at about twenty minutes after the hour, everybody's
- 37:09Speaker 5: talking about it, Atlanta pastor Jamal Bryant responds to backlash
- 37:13Speaker 5: over his wife's nude fundraiser dress. Well, seemingly nude anyway,
- 37:17Speaker 5: we'll talk about it too. Right after this, you're listening
- 37:21Speaker 5: to the Steve Hardy Morning Show. It's a new Year,
- 37:29Speaker 5: and the leave is here to help you keep your
- 37:31Speaker 5: New Year's resolutions on track. Whether it's a daily walker,
- 37:34Speaker 5: spending time with friends and family, a leave's got your back.
- 37:38Speaker 5: With up to twelve hours of body pain relief per dose,
- 37:41Speaker 5: a leave keeps you moving with long lasting body pain relief.
- 37:44Speaker 5: So you can achieve your goals. Don't let body pain
- 37:47Speaker 5: slow you down. Keep going with a leave because this
- 37:50Speaker 5: year is your year. Use as directed for minor aches
- 37:53Speaker 5: and pains. Well, guys, this is according to People magazine
- 37:57Speaker 5: and here goes as stay anyway. On Wednesday, December thirty first,
- 38:02Speaker 5: that was New Year's Eve, the head pastor of Atlanta's
- 38:05Speaker 5: New Birth Missionary Baptist Church addressed critics of a gown
- 38:09Speaker 5: his wife was wearing. She wore this gown to the
- 38:13Speaker 5: twenty twenty five u n c F Atlanta Mayer's Masked
- 38:16Speaker 5: Ball at Sigmasignia by Hilton Atlanta that was on December twentieth,
- 38:22Speaker 5: twenty twenty five. The dress in question was like a
- 38:25Speaker 5: flesh colored with black lace detailing that led to a
- 38:31Speaker 5: large black beau around her legs. His wife, doctor Turner Bryant,
- 38:36Speaker 5: faced backlash on social media. Something his wife, doctor Turner Bryant,
- 38:42Speaker 5: oh faced backlash on social media as some people incorrectly
- 38:45Speaker 5: called her dress sheer and questioned its inappropriateness since she
- 38:50Speaker 5: is a quote pastor's wife. The pastor said, in part quote,
- 38:54Speaker 5: the other day the internet went crazy about the dress
- 38:57Speaker 5: my wife had on. He continued, He said, Now, they
- 39:00Speaker 5: didn't say anything about the four million dollars that was
- 39:02Speaker 5: raised for the United Negro College Fund. They never mentioned
- 39:06Speaker 5: that she prayed until heaven came down. They never said
- 39:09Speaker 5: anything about how this was the largest fundraiser for HBCUs
- 39:13Speaker 5: in the country. But insecure, jealous, petty, small minded people
- 39:17Speaker 5: got in their feelings and set up a false barometer
- 39:20Speaker 5: of holiness based off of a dress. Now, that's what
- 39:25Speaker 5: Pastor Bryant said about Mparno, the people that criticized his
- 39:29Speaker 5: wife's dress. And he also said that he bought the
- 39:32Speaker 5: dress for her. He said that he bought it for her.
- 39:35Speaker 2: I saw it.
- 39:36Speaker 8: I don't look, man, I don't what another man and
- 39:40Speaker 8: his wife do. Ain't now none of my business. No,
- 39:47Speaker 8: I got one wife. I got to worry about what
- 39:51Speaker 8: she do, where she go all this. I got one
- 39:53Speaker 8: hand full with that. That's my job. Yeah, I tell
- 39:57Speaker 8: you the part that trouble me that was a another pastor.
- 40:01Speaker 8: His sermon was about her dress and how he didn't
- 40:05Speaker 8: approve of it and didn't approve of Pastor Jamal Bryan
- 40:09Speaker 8: allowing his wife.
- 40:10Speaker 2: To window dress.
- 40:13Speaker 8: Wow, that church to hear you talk about another pastor
- 40:18Speaker 8: is what they got to do with Heaven's prosperity, happiness, joy, family,
- 40:25Speaker 8: treating people right man, church today, man, I'll tell you
- 40:31Speaker 8: one thing.
- 40:32Speaker 2: That dress didn't come from targeting. Tell you that. I
- 40:34Speaker 2: tell you that right now.
- 40:35Speaker 1: That's what you got now, church man today, nephew, be
- 40:44Speaker 1: on fire.
- 40:45Speaker 8: No way, don't you'll start preaching, you know, I really, man,
- 40:53Speaker 8: I ain't.
- 40:53Speaker 2: I I just can't care.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't care. Yeah, all right, well, so yeah,
- 41:05Speaker 1: be worried about that.
- 41:07Speaker 8: You got kidnapping presidents. Why are we talking about this
- 41:11Speaker 8: lady dress?
- 41:13Speaker 5: Coming up in thirty four minutes after? What are your
- 41:15Speaker 5: most excited about in the new year. We'll talk about
- 41:18Speaker 5: it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Happy New Year, Happy New Year, Steve. We got to
- 41:31Speaker 5: ask you what's your advice. You know, this is the
- 41:34Speaker 5: beginning of the year. People set goals, they make resolutions.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Some people do, a lot of people don't anymore because
- 41:40Speaker 5: they find that they don't, you know, they tend not
- 41:42Speaker 5: to keep.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Up with them.
- 41:43Speaker 5: But what a lot of people are doing is making
- 41:46Speaker 5: vision boards. And I know you're a big proponent of
- 41:49Speaker 5: vision boards. So let me ask you, what are you
- 41:51Speaker 5: most excited about this year?
- 41:53Speaker 1: What's on your vision board?
- 41:55Speaker 2: Oh?
- 41:55Speaker 8: Just taking care of my health. For me this year,
- 42:00Speaker 8: health is very big because health is wealth. Uh, you
- 42:06Speaker 8: know stuff like that.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Uh.
- 42:09Speaker 8: I got some ideas for the foundation, uh this coming year.
- 42:16Speaker 8: Just really that's that's really it for me. I don't
- 42:19Speaker 8: really have to make New Year's resolutions because soon as
- 42:22Speaker 8: I think something need to change, I start that day.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I don't wait till New.
- 42:25Speaker 8: Year's And then once you get past the ninth of January,
- 42:31Speaker 8: the statistics prove that most people who made resolutions for
- 42:34Speaker 8: New Year's Eve, they over with it by the night.
- 42:38Speaker 8: So that yeah, you know, I ain't gonna eat no
- 42:40Speaker 8: sugar this year.
- 42:42Speaker 1: I'm not gonna drink anymore of that today.
- 42:50Speaker 5: It's over by Friday. Yeah, yeah, Steve, if you always
- 42:57Speaker 5: say that by Friday a.
- 43:02Speaker 8: And uh and uh you know, like I had gave
- 43:06Speaker 8: up cigars, you know.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, now you said you were going to do that.
- 43:10Speaker 1: So how's that going on?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that's over with and.
- 43:15Speaker 1: That was over with Friday.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:19Speaker 8: Well it's the most it's the most unhappy I have
- 43:24Speaker 8: ever been.
- 43:25Speaker 5: When you couldn't smoke your cigars.
- 43:28Speaker 2: The most unhappy I have ever been.
- 43:31Speaker 1: So what is the enjoyment that you get out of that?
- 43:35Speaker 8: What is that relaxation feeling? I don't, you know, I
- 43:39Speaker 8: don't need nobody. You know, I can enjoy a cigar
- 43:43Speaker 8: without company, without you know, it's just me and the
- 43:46Speaker 8: city shopping.
- 43:47Speaker 1: That's so rewarding.
- 43:51Speaker 2: What I get into the house.
- 43:54Speaker 1: You don't need anything to figure out what I'm doing.
- 43:59Speaker 8: But you know what it was, so really I'm just
- 44:01Speaker 8: I just have like one a week now, just one
- 44:05Speaker 8: a week, and as opposed to cut back, yeah, in moderation,
- 44:10Speaker 8: because I was just too unhappy.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I was just too unhappy. I had stopped for a
- 44:13Speaker 2: couple of months to oh okay.
- 44:16Speaker 8: Somebody asked me, actually actually asked me, mister Harvey, what
- 44:21Speaker 8: makes you happy? And I had a difficult time answering
- 44:27Speaker 8: that question because everything that makes me happy is tied
- 44:30Speaker 8: to other people. I've discovered that my happiness is wrapped
- 44:35Speaker 8: up in what I do and provide for other people
- 44:38Speaker 8: and watch the watching them receive it. I don't even
- 44:44Speaker 8: know if happy is something more. I just won't go
- 44:47Speaker 8: somewhere and be happy. I don't even remember saying that
- 44:51Speaker 8: if if happy, if I had to give it a definition.
- 44:55Speaker 8: It's something like, I'm happy when I'm fishing. Yeah, you know,
- 45:02Speaker 8: I'm not. I'm not happy when I'm playing golf.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Why you love golf?
- 45:08Speaker 2: Just too much? Go wrong, too much.
- 45:12Speaker 12: That's that's part of it.
- 45:15Speaker 8: Yeah, that's part of it. But let me tell you.
- 45:18Speaker 8: When you playing golf, are you happy? No, I'm confused,
- 45:21Speaker 8: to be honest.
- 45:22Speaker 1: With you, I'm very confused about it.
- 45:25Speaker 12: Doing nothing right, that's all. I ain't doing nothing right.
- 45:29Speaker 12: I look I look incredible though I do.
- 45:33Speaker 8: Hey, that's part of it, being confused, being confused. My
- 45:41Speaker 8: oldest sword is playing golf now okay, and his best friend,
- 45:47Speaker 8: uh Beady is playing golf and overnabdabi. I played like
- 45:54Speaker 8: I didn't play, but I rolled around a half around
- 45:56Speaker 8: with him.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Yeah he should quit.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Futuream killer. There you go, by private.
- 46:06Speaker 2: You young enough, you could steal who you could?
- 46:11Speaker 5: All right, guys, coming up next, and is the nephew
- 46:14Speaker 5: and the prank phone call for today.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Right after this, you're.
- 46:17Speaker 5: Listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 46:26Speaker 5: Right about four minutes after it's my Strawberry letter for today,
- 46:29Speaker 5: and the subject is he got a new zip code
- 46:32Speaker 5: for Christmas. We'll talk about it in just a few

- 46:38Speaker 5: nephew is here with today's prank phone call.

- 56:51Speaker 5: a new zip code for Christmas. Dear Steven Shirley, My
- 56:55Speaker 5: husband and I have been married for eleven years and
- 56:57Speaker 5: we have a nine year old son and a six
- 56:59Speaker 5: year old. We have a nine year old and a
- 57:01Speaker 5: six year old. After I had my last son, I
- 57:05Speaker 5: had complications and I was hospitalized for a week, and
- 57:08Speaker 5: then I was bedridden for a month.
- 57:10Speaker 1: So I wasn't able to exercise and lose the baby
- 57:13Speaker 1: weight right away.
- 57:14Speaker 5: My husband thought he was motivating me to work out,
- 57:17Speaker 5: but it sounded like he was making fun of me,
- 57:19Speaker 5: so I tuned him out. Little did I know my
- 57:23Speaker 5: weight was really annoying him. But instead of talking to me,
- 57:27Speaker 5: he talked about me. He made jokes and let his
- 57:31Speaker 5: mama talk bad about me too.
- 57:33Speaker 1: How do I know?
- 57:34Speaker 5: The video cameras on the front stoop of our house
- 57:36Speaker 5: and on the back of our house recorded six conversations
- 57:40Speaker 5: he had with his mama about me. On one of
- 57:43Speaker 5: the calls, he told his mama that he had a
- 57:45Speaker 5: Hamburger meal for me, but he shouldn't, but he should
- 57:49Speaker 5: have gotten me a salad because that's all I need
- 57:51Speaker 5: to eat for the rest.
- 57:52Speaker 1: Of twenty twenty five.
- 57:54Speaker 5: Even though I was deeply hurt, I cooked a big
- 57:57Speaker 5: Thanksgiving dinner and his mom came over. After dinner, I
- 58:01Speaker 5: played the six audio messages that I had saved. My
- 58:05Speaker 5: husband said they were just joking, and his mama said
- 58:08Speaker 5: it wasn't her voice on the recordings. I asked my
- 58:11Speaker 5: husband to get out and give me some space, and
- 58:15Speaker 5: by Christmas he had a new zip code. He is
- 58:17Speaker 5: back in his childhood bedroom at his mama's house. She
- 58:21Speaker 5: called begging me to let him come home. He's begging
- 58:25Speaker 5: to come home too. I'm more motivated than ever to
- 58:28Speaker 5: lose the weight. I got a trainer and I'm taking
- 58:30Speaker 5: weight loss medicine. My only issue is I don't want
- 58:34Speaker 5: to be with him after the way he talked about me.
- 58:37Speaker 5: Does he deserve another chance or let him stay with
- 58:40Speaker 5: his mom? Okay, well, you know, of course you were hurt,
- 58:45Speaker 5: You felt betrayed, and you should be. I mean, your
- 58:48Speaker 5: husband making fun of you with his mom. That was
- 58:51Speaker 5: just wrong and they both know what was wrong, and
- 58:53Speaker 5: that's why his mom lied to you and said that
- 58:55Speaker 5: was her voice.
- 58:56Speaker 1: You heard on the tape while you know her voice,
- 58:59Speaker 1: so you knew or it was her.
- 59:01Speaker 5: But think about it. I mean, look at what you're
- 59:03Speaker 5: doing now. It did motivate you to take care of
- 59:06Speaker 5: yourself and start losing the weight. I mean, had you
- 59:09Speaker 5: not seen or heard the tapes, you would never have
- 59:12Speaker 5: gotten started. You never would have, let's face it, not
- 59:16Speaker 5: for a while anyway. And you know, married couples fight
- 59:19Speaker 5: about the dumbest things. You know, they do smallest things,
- 59:23Speaker 5: and feelings do get hurt sometimes, even if they're just
- 59:26Speaker 5: joking with each other.
- 59:27Speaker 1: It can cause a major blow up in the marriage,
- 59:30Speaker 1: you know. So I say pick your battles.
- 59:33Speaker 5: If he's been a good man for eleven years and
- 59:35Speaker 5: this is the one place he messed up, ask yourself,
- 59:39Speaker 5: is it you know? I mean him talking to his
- 59:42Speaker 5: mom about you, about your weight and all that. Is
- 59:44Speaker 5: that a good enough reason to divorce this man? Because
- 59:47Speaker 5: other than this scenario, you didn't say he had been
- 59:50Speaker 5: a bad husband or anything like that. So I say,
- 59:53Speaker 5: just focus on getting yourself together right now and see
- 59:56Speaker 5: how your husband acts.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Is he really sorry for what he did? Is he
- 59:59Speaker 1: trying to make it up to you? Then you can
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: make a decision.
- 1:00:03Speaker 8: Steve, Well, the whole question behind this letter is you said,
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: my only issue is I don't want to be with
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: him after the way he talked about me. Does he
- 1:00:15Speaker 8: deserve another chance or let him stay with his mama?
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: Me and Shirley can't answer that for you.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: That's on you. I don't know, you know, And just
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: to start the year off with this.
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: Letter, you know, uh, in twenty twenty six, I'm gonna
- 1:00:33Speaker 8: take more of a how I've started a like dealing
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: with all haters. You don't affect me, so I'm not
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: gonna allow this to affect me either. I don't care
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: what y'all do. This ain't about cheating. Ain't nobody stole
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: no money.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: That's not I know I said cheating, but infidelity. This
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: it's not a crisis. Trust Yeah.
- 1:01:01Speaker 8: You know y'all got two kids, and then you had
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: your last son and got some complications. You got hospitalized
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: and you were bedridden for a week. Then you had
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: to stay bed ridden for a month and stayed in
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: the hospital for a week. You can't exercise and lose
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: the babyweight right away. I don't know why that's the problem,
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: because he just had the baby in it Babywait hard
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: to get off of. I know women whose children is
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: twenty four and still discussing that Babywait.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: So are you looking at.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Saying that?
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: I just said that's what I had heard. And anyway,
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: my husband thought he was motivating me to work out.
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: But then you say, it would sound like he was
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: making fun of you, so you tune him out.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: And then you.
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: Got some footage of him and his mama talking about
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: you on the home video recorder on the front steps
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: and the back steps. You can in front of them
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: about it after the Thanksgiving dinner. The mama said it
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: wasn't her voice. She don't even know how to lie. Now,
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: obviously she wasn't on camera. Hear how stupid that lie is.
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: If it wasn't your mama's voice on the recording, what
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: woman he had over at the house on the front
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: steps and the back steps six times talking about your
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: fat behind you? See what I'm saying? See how that went?
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: So this story is tilted the wrong way. When we
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: come back, I'll tell you more. But it's really not
- 1:02:47Speaker 8: a whole lot I could share with you.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: Sherley.
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: You can ask me questions about this letter when we
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: come back. Junior, if you have any points of interest
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: you'd like to ask me about, because this letter right
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: here is cut and dry to me.
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: All right, we'll have part two of your response coming
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Subject he
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: got a new zip code for Christmas. We'll get back
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: into it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: It's a new year, and the leave is here to
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: help you keep your new year's resolutions on track, whether
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: it's a daily walker, spending time with friends and family.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: A leave's got your back with up to twelve hours
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: of body pain relief per dose. A leave keeps you
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: moving with long lasting body pain relief so you can
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: achieve your goals. Don't let body pain slow you down.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: Keep going with a leave because this year is your year.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: Use as directed for minor aches and pains. All right,
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: Come on, see let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: is he got a new zip code for Christmas.
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: Yeah, this man wife had baby, another beautiful chit third child.
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: A son has some complications in the hospital for a week,
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: with bedridden for a month, couldn't exercise, and she thought
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: that he was motivating her to lose weight. But she
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: found that it was really annoyed by it because she
- 1:04:11Speaker 8: overheard the conversation between him.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: And his mama on the on their doorbell camera.
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: Uh.
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: The mama denied it was her because obviously her face
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: wasn't on it. She's stupid, she'll know how to lie
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: now then told us proofs shows us if it wasn't
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: your mama on that voicemail, what woman was at your
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: house on the front and back step six times talking
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: about your wife? And I can't believe you can't understand
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: that the question is should I leave my husband or not? Well, listen,
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: I I would leave a man over some My ex
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: wife told me I was stupid before what and uh,
- 1:04:53Speaker 8: you know it wasn't no need of me divoicing her
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: for that. I had created plenty other ground. But if
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: you want to go with that I'm stupid, I mean, yeah, oh,
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: like you don't think I heard that before. They ain't
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: bothered me, ain't nowhere times.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Just told me that.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: You're said stupid.
- 1:05:23Speaker 14: I know that.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: If you're stupid, I mean I know that it just
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: came out.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: That's just like I'm just sitting You're trying to figure
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: out how you think you're hurting me with that. You're stupid,
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: ain't We ain't gonna get divorced about it.
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: I'm gonna give you another reason to leave me, but
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: it ain't gonna because you called me stupid, right, So
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: I really don't. I don't think you should leave a
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: man because that Any question, Shirley.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Or Junior, do you have a question?
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Weight?
- 1:06:00Speaker 17: Did he not know we can't talk about the weight?
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: He is that stupid?
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: Yeah, he know that, but he he didn't know he
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: was being recorded. Yeah, and you and you quit talking
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: about talking to relatives because you're still in trouble.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Question.
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: Okay, So does he want to really go back home
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: or is he just tired of being at his mom's house.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Yeah, his mama is tired of him being that house.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: He done moved into his childhood house with his mama
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: staying in his old room. That's a twin bed. That's
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: a twin bed. And he got some weight on him too. Yeah,
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: and he over there eating stuff the mama wanted him.
- 1:06:48Speaker 8: So his mama didn't call her and begged him to
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: begged her to take about because she put him out.
- 1:06:54Speaker 8: She first of all, she invited them after she read
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: the read the video Yo played the video back. She
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: still cooked the big Thanksgiving dinner and invited them over,
- 1:07:06Speaker 8: and after dinner she played the tapes back for him
- 1:07:08Speaker 8: that mama died and said that ain't me on that tape.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: But how does she introduce the tape?
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: You know, when she got ready for the tape after dinner,
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: how does she bring that up everybody?
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Because that's unusual.
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: You know, Bernice, I got something I want to show y'all.
- 1:07:35Speaker 8: She pulled out to hit that button plaid that tape.
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: Mama said, God, that's not that's not me.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: We're looking at the tape. We can hear your well,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: your voice.
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: It was probably just her voice. She wasn't in line
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: with you because she be too.
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: Yeah, most people's mama's is big, most most so, well
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: what should she.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Was covering half of the.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Ringer daughter in law knows her voice, Steve.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: And she knows how to just blocking that doorbell camera.
- 1:08:26Speaker 8: You know how big you gotta be blocked the whole
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: door beell cook because it's on the on the wide
- 1:08:31Speaker 8: zoom panoramic leands and if you can stand in front
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: of that and block that out, uh huh.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: She big too, So so.
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: Have they had problems in the marriage because all of
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: just because he said that, like we were talking about,
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: she wants to leave him because of that.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: So is she seeing the trainer? What is really happening.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: No, she's not seeing the training. It's too early for
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: the trainer. She just started the trainer going too early. Yeah,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: the trainer.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Oh, yes, she's a loss enough weight.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: Oh no, the trainer going, Oh my god, you say
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: your goal is what.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: I got it.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: I have a client.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: We're not gonna do this in twenty twenty six, three.
- 1:09:19Speaker 8: Times a week, thirty five thousand this year. Yeah, my girl,
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: you know just wait, wait, is a big thing were

- 1:13:08Speaker 6: Will it?
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Will?
- 1:13:12Speaker 17: That's one of the truest things.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Will you do that? What evaluation? I ain't see no value?
- 1:13:24Speaker 17: Yeah, tell me alright?
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Will well?
- 1:13:30Speaker 17: Can I see him off?
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: Folk?
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: That's you're defending.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: You better not say what I think you say that.
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: You y.
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Thank you guys, Thank you you. And you're coming up.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: At the top of the hour, a young man on
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: social media needs some advice.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: Stevie says, when is the best time to break up
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: with your cuffing seasoned partner? We'll talk about that right
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: after this. Uh oh, you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Morning Show. All right, this is from JD on Steve
- 1:14:13Speaker 5: Harvey FM. Jds's Hey, morning crew. This is my first
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: year doing the cuffing season thing, and now I'm wondering
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: what the protocol is. Honestly, she's probably thinking the same
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: thing because that's what we agreed on when we got
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: together around Halloween. We just haven't talked about it. Now
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: that the holidays are over and it's January, I'm finding
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: myself more uncomfortable than I thought i'd be with the whole.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: It's time to move on. Conversation. What's the right and
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: wrong way to do it?
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: To end the relationship?
- 1:14:48Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Yeah, no, don't just don't go gos? Yeah? Wait what what.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Con that's not very gentlemanly.
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: Come on, you don't want to communic I would, I wouldn't.
- 1:15:04Speaker 8: I wouldn't do that, but I would say what depends?
- 1:15:07Speaker 8: Not depends?
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: What if she's crazy? Ghost? Because you're gonna get it
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: either way. You're gonna get it either way.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Well, what would he have gotten miser if she was crazy?
- 1:15:24Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: Would they have been together a period if she was crazy?
- 1:15:29Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: Man, love crazy about crazy that you guys love?
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Stop So you're gonna ghost a crazy person?
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: Okay, it's really no, it's it's really no right way
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: to do it, because you sit it down and say, hey, look,
- 1:15:58Speaker 8: it's over with. You know, I'm I'm gonna move on.
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: I Georgia, Hey, maybe if you ain't doing nothing next

- 1:23:46Speaker 6: Nba?
- 1:23:50Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yes, it's not the most enthusiastic song that
- 1:23:59Speaker 8: I say I had.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: I ain't got nothing in it?
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, especially yeah, all right, moving on?
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: Would you rather have a constant itch or would you

- 1:25:57Speaker 12: I can't understand people that as soon as Chris was

- 1:26:04Speaker 12: you start, you go buy Christmas stuff for the following year.
- 1:26:08Speaker 12: That's the crazy thing in the world of me.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Well they do. Everything's on sale.
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: Yeah, so you can have yeah, get a jump start
- 1:26:15Speaker 5: on this Christmas twenty twenty six.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: I still have my Christmastry up, by the way, and
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: my l like me too, and it makes perfect good sense, nephew. Yeah,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: now that we've cleared that up.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I got some clothes and remarks for you.
- 1:26:32Speaker 11: You know what.
- 1:26:33Speaker 8: I was just thinking about this in twenty twenty six.
- 1:26:38Speaker 8: Listen to me, folks, do yourself a favor. Give yourself
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: a break from things that are not necessary. Give yourself
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: a break from people who are not necessary. I mean, look, man,
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: it's so many things you don't even need to put
- 1:27:03Speaker 8: on your plate. You know, I said this a while
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: back and that it didn't really go over, so I
- 1:27:10Speaker 8: stopped saying it. But the old lady told me one time.
- 1:27:13Speaker 8: She says, Steve, stop letting people put trash in your
- 1:27:16Speaker 8: trash can, because when it's time for you to put
- 1:27:20Speaker 8: some in yours, it's gonna be full. And you know
- 1:27:24Speaker 8: what is usually fool from other people's problems, other people's situation,
- 1:27:29Speaker 8: and other people's mess, and they bring it to you,
- 1:27:32Speaker 8: They drop it off at your door step and then
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: they walk off, or they bring it to you and
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: they ask you to solve it, and they play the victim.
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: Bishop Brana said, the most powerful thing. Stop allowing people
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: to come into your life and play victim in circumstances
- 1:27:52Speaker 8: they've created themselves. Hey man, I'm done with it. Why
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: am I gonna spend my time I am tripping about
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: Donald Trump? Why when clearly clearly his entire party is
- 1:28:09Speaker 8: afraid of him, and he do what he want to do.
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: So I'm not fitna trip on that. I'm gonna live
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: my life, Stay prayed up, keep moving. Why do I
- 1:28:17Speaker 8: care what Nicki Minaje do. Nicki Minaje want to go
- 1:28:21Speaker 8: on the on the whatever platform that was Charlie Kirk's
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: wife and all that, and everybody surprised that Nicki minaj
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: I Wasn't it just just people be tripping?
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: Man, and and And what I had to learn was
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: what God.
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: Always tries to get my attention on, because whenever I
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: put my faith in man somewhere or based my moves
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: on something somebody told me they was gonna do it,
- 1:28:52Speaker 8: almost hardly never works out.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Because God has told me clearly it's me, and you
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: trust in me. Lean not to your own understanding.
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: If God telling you not to lean to your own understanding,
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: why would you lean to somebody Else's he talking to
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: them too, He says, lean not to your own understanding.
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: But you sitting up in here listening to somebody else.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: The rule is for them too.
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: So All's doing in twenty twenty six is pushing me
- 1:29:26Speaker 8: close to the relationship that I need to have with God.
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: I'm over it, man, God willing if I live to
- 1:29:33Speaker 8: see this birthday on the seventeenth.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: Do you know what, man?
- 1:29:36Speaker 8: It is official? It is official. In twenty twenty six.
- 1:29:41Speaker 8: I no longer care about negative people coming for me. Man,
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: do whatever you want to do, but know this, you
- 1:29:52Speaker 8: are wasting your time. You are wasting some precious, valuable
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: time that you could be dedicating to yourself. You can
- 1:30:00Speaker 8: quit talking about me because I don't care. You are
- 1:30:05Speaker 8: not a person of significance, are important that I'm gonna.
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: Give some rule or say so in my life. Man,
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: you don't even know me. You If you're.
- 1:30:16Speaker 8: Talking about me and you don't have my Selle number,
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: you probably don't matter to me. If you don't have
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: my sell number, you probably don't matter that. Most people
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: that's close to me that I'm cool with, they got
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: my cell number. Everybody else.
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: You know now that I ain't saying we can't be cool.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: We can be all of that.
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: But if you talking about me in a negative way
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: and you don't have my cell number, why would I care?
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: And if you do have my Celle number and you're
- 1:30:58Speaker 8: talking about me negative, you might wold not have it
- 1:31:01Speaker 8: because you're getting blocked. Because my kids taught me how
- 1:31:04Speaker 8: to block or phone number, so now I know how
- 1:31:06Speaker 8: to block. Oh yeah, I ain't know that. Hit that
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: edit and go all the way down block it. I
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: didn't know that because sometimes when you cut it on
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: and hit the information, but it don't have block on that,
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: you got to go to the edit edit and go
- 1:31:21Speaker 8: all the way down. That's how you block anybody listening.
- 1:31:27Speaker 8: Matter of fact, you know what I'm gonna do in
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: twenty twenty six, i'most start saying people's name on the radio. No,
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: I ain't already know.
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: I ain't.
- 1:31:42Speaker 8: You know why I ain't cause that ain't even me.
- 1:31:46Speaker 8: And you know the You know the real reason I
- 1:31:48Speaker 8: ain't because I forgot.
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care.
- 1:31:55Speaker 8: Hey, y'all talk to God today. He'd absolutely love to
- 1:31:58Speaker 8: hear from you and the rest of him.
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 1:32:06Speaker 11: For all.
