- 0:13Speaker 1: more like themaking buck bus things. And it's true good
- 0:20Speaker 1: at Steve har listen to move together for Stubby, I
- 0:38Speaker 1: don't join by join me to be doing me. You
- 0:58Speaker 1: gotta turning the moment. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out, to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby at it, h I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody you're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:09Speaker 1: radio show man? Yeah, do ain't got a good man?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I mean really, hey, you know what to date, I'm
- 2:20Speaker 1: gonna try something different, and it's amazing. I'm gonna try
- 2:23Speaker 1: something different because that's kind of what we're gonna talk
- 2:26Speaker 1: about this morning, or that's kind of what I want
- 2:28Speaker 1: to share with you this morning. You know you know what.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say that date just this year, do
- 2:34Speaker 1: something different this year, do something different, try something else. Look,
- 2:42Speaker 1: if if what you've been doing has just gotten you
- 2:46Speaker 1: to this point and you are not content with the
- 2:49Speaker 1: point you are at, then we need to make an adjustment.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I mean, don't that seem like the common sense thing
- 2:54Speaker 1: to do? It does to me. Let's just do something
- 2:57Speaker 1: different this year. Make a commit meant I'm gonna do
- 3:01Speaker 1: something different. I'm gonna put forth a little bit more effort.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I'm not I'm gonna quit trying. I'm gonna do it
- 3:09Speaker 1: this year. You know, sometimes that that that that that
- 3:12Speaker 1: simple change of attitude is enough. Instead of trying, I'm
- 3:16Speaker 1: gonna do it. And it's just as simple as that.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Sometimes just remove certain words out of the way, stop
- 3:23Speaker 1: trying to do something. You know, I decided this year,
- 3:24Speaker 1: you know, I wasn't gonna try to be a better
- 3:26Speaker 1: person this year. I'm just gonna go about the business
- 3:29Speaker 1: of being a better person this year and see how
- 3:32Speaker 1: that work. You know, because if, like I said a
- 3:35Speaker 1: thousand times, or if you keep doing what you've been doing,
- 3:38Speaker 1: you're gonna keep getting what you've been getting it, don't
- 3:41Speaker 1: change it. Don't change unless you change it. But you
- 3:45Speaker 1: have the power to change it. The power of decision
- 3:48Speaker 1: is in your hands. Decide to do something different, make
- 3:53Speaker 1: a commitment, say you know what, this year, I'm gonna
- 3:56Speaker 1: do the right thing. Now, let me warn you. Let
- 4:00Speaker 1: please let me warn you of this. When you decide
- 4:04Speaker 1: to do the right thing. Understand, here, come to haters.
- 4:09Speaker 1: What they're not gonna let you do is make a
- 4:11Speaker 1: conscious decision to be a better person without something to
- 4:14Speaker 1: be said. Come on, now, you think the devil just
- 4:17Speaker 1: gonna let you all of a sudden, you're gonna you're
- 4:19Speaker 1: gonna be better when he needs to keep you on
- 4:22Speaker 1: the wrong side of the track, you're gonna go up
- 4:24Speaker 1: on the other side. So here, come to hate. Now,
- 4:26Speaker 1: let me tell you what's gonna happen, because I'm speaking
- 4:29Speaker 1: from experience. This is what I know, and all of
- 4:32Speaker 1: you out there and notice to be true because all
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm doing right now, we're just having to remind the conversation.
- 4:38Speaker 1: When you decide to do the right thing, it's going
- 4:41Speaker 1: to be unpopular with some people. Some people ain't gonna
- 4:46Speaker 1: like your decision because now your decision to start getting
- 4:49Speaker 1: the work on time, or your decision to finally go
- 4:52Speaker 1: home and be the man you're supposed to be, or
- 4:55Speaker 1: your decision to finally going to take care of your
- 4:57Speaker 1: kids in spite of it all, or your decision to man,
- 5:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna come in here, man and start loving my
- 5:02Speaker 1: girl the way she deserved to be loved and all
- 5:05Speaker 1: this here, Okay, Now that's gonna put somebody on an
- 5:08Speaker 1: out looking in. You do understand that when you decide
- 5:12Speaker 1: to come to work on time every day, you're you're
- 5:14Speaker 1: you're homie over there has been coming in late with you.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Now all of a sudden, you you got, you got.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You don't put a spotlight on him now all of
- 5:22Speaker 1: a sudden, Man, you ain't coming in late. Women no more. Man.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Now they're looking at me like I'm crazy by myself. Yeah, yeah, man,
- 5:28Speaker 1: Because when you decide to do the right thing, it's
- 5:30Speaker 1: it becomes unpopular to some people. When you decide to
- 5:34Speaker 1: do the right thing. From experience, they're gonna talk about you.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Look at him now trying to Now he gonna go home.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Now he know he'd been out here in the streets.
- 5:44Speaker 1: He gonna try to go home and see his wife.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah man, yeah, yeah, you just made that decision. But
- 5:49Speaker 1: they're gonna talk about you now. Now guess what. The
- 5:51Speaker 1: girl that you've been going over to sea, she gonna
- 5:54Speaker 1: talk about you. You ain't this, you ain't that. Because
- 5:56Speaker 1: now you're going home. Your boy's gonna talk about you.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Because you're going home you're gonna get some flat when
- 6:01Speaker 1: you do the right thing. Here come, somebody ain't gonna
- 6:06Speaker 1: like it. Somebody wants you to stay wrong, misery love company.
- 6:11Speaker 1: When you make the decision to do the right thing,
- 6:14Speaker 1: somebody's gonna call you a hypocrite because you know what
- 6:18Speaker 1: they're gonna do. They're gonna point out the way you
- 6:21Speaker 1: were in the past versus the way you decided to
- 6:24Speaker 1: be brand new and now all of a sudden, how
- 6:27Speaker 1: you all of a sudden claiming this one I saw
- 6:29Speaker 1: you doing that. Please understand, when you make the decision
- 6:33Speaker 1: to do the right thing, here they come. You're a hypocrite.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You think they don't call me that. They call me that.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, he fake, I hear man. Look on Twitter,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you try to tweet people positive stuff. Here come a
- 6:47Speaker 1: tweet you fake? Your family ain't all that. I ain't
- 6:51Speaker 1: say my family was, man. I'm just trying to give
- 6:54Speaker 1: out some positive encouragement, you know. But here here it come.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You're a hypocrit. I remember when you was out on
- 7:02Speaker 1: a tour with the Kings of Comedy. Yeah, me too,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I remember that too, But I ain't out on tour
- 7:06Speaker 1: with him no more. We didn't all change. Hello, So
- 7:12Speaker 1: now now what you want me to do? You want
- 7:14Speaker 1: to keep living up to what you saw me as
- 7:16Speaker 1: what I was, And I can't get no credit with
- 7:18Speaker 1: you for what I'm trying to be. Now that's that.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Now you're gonna be a hypocrite. You fake? No, man,
- 7:24Speaker 1: you ain't fake. You just have made a decision to
- 7:26Speaker 1: be a better person, that's all. And now because you
- 7:29Speaker 1: ain't the person you was, the person they knew, now
- 7:31Speaker 1: they see the new you. Now you're a hypocrite. You
- 7:33Speaker 1: ain't a hypocrite. You just change it. Don't let them
- 7:35Speaker 1: hate to shake you. Man, go on about your business
- 7:38Speaker 1: when they talking about you. Look at him now, gonna
- 7:41Speaker 1: try to go home. He's been with me all this time.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Hey man, just go home. Oh he gonna try to
- 7:47Speaker 1: go home now, Man, he knows Friday nights. Man, we
- 7:49Speaker 1: didn't told our girls that's where we at. Now he's
- 7:51Speaker 1: showing up at the house because he don't want to
- 7:53Speaker 1: come on player, Hey man, just go home. It's gonna
- 7:58Speaker 1: be unpopular, you're gonna get talked about. They're gonna say
- 8:01Speaker 1: you're a hypocrite. But do the right thing. God will
- 8:05Speaker 1: bless you for that. That's something in Proverbs that says,
- 8:08Speaker 1: if you honor God, if you do the right thing,
- 8:10Speaker 1: if you seek him out, God will cause his blessings
- 8:13Speaker 1: to chase you down. Do you understand me what that means?
- 8:17Speaker 1: Can you imagine what would happen in your life if
- 8:20Speaker 1: God were to take some blessings and chase you down
- 8:25Speaker 1: with him. Do you know that there's no hiding from
- 8:28Speaker 1: him in your deepest, darkest secret. He know about the
- 8:33Speaker 1: stuff that you didn't kept out the light from everybody else.
- 8:35Speaker 1: He know about all of that. So now if He
- 8:39Speaker 1: has got some blessings that he gonna chase you down with,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you can't even escape him. You look up and here
- 8:45Speaker 1: come another one. That go, another one, Here he go again. Man.
- 8:49Speaker 1: That's why I'm trying to get my life to because
- 8:52Speaker 1: at the end, man, what I do not want, Man,
- 8:55Speaker 1: And not even at the end, I just don't want
- 8:58Speaker 1: now God to have all these boxes up in heaven,
- 9:02Speaker 1: these blessings with my name on them, and I don't
- 9:05Speaker 1: get them sent to me because I'm down here clowning
- 9:08Speaker 1: so hard. He ain't. He can't even ship blessings to
- 9:11Speaker 1: me because I'm just so dead wrong that I'm blocking
- 9:15Speaker 1: the blessings man that God got for me. I would
- 9:19Speaker 1: rather do the best I can do and be the
- 9:22Speaker 1: best I can be, make some mistakes, ask for forgiveness,
- 9:26Speaker 1: and get on up and see what God got for me.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And remember, Donnie mclarkin got a song out. Man. We
- 9:31Speaker 1: ain't got time to play it now because I didn't
- 9:33Speaker 1: talk too long. But you know that's why I am
- 9:35Speaker 1: right now. The song it is one of my favorite guys.
- 9:39Speaker 1: When Donnie wrote We Fall Down, do you know I
- 9:44Speaker 1: knew him when he wrote the song. I thought he
- 9:47Speaker 1: had wrote the song for me. I really did, because
- 9:51Speaker 1: it came out after a conversation we was having, and
- 9:54Speaker 1: I thought he had wrote the song for me because
- 9:58Speaker 1: it's so appropriate to my life. And I bet you
- 10:01Speaker 1: it's appropriate to your life because you see, guess what,
- 10:04Speaker 1: We fall down, but we get up. He has a
- 10:07Speaker 1: line in the song that says a saint is just
- 10:10Speaker 1: a sinner who fell down, but he didn't stay there.
- 10:16Speaker 1: That's the deal, y'all. Look, you gonna make some mistakes,
- 10:20Speaker 1: just don't stay there. Just get up, man, and try
- 10:24Speaker 1: to and walk straight again. Then while you're walking straight
- 10:28Speaker 1: and right and trying to be righteous, you're gonna fall.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Get up, don't stay there and get back on the
- 10:34Speaker 1: straight and the righteous you're gonna fall a bunch of times.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Just don't stay there, Just get up. Man. That's the
- 10:41Speaker 1: only difference between the saint and the sinner. They're the
- 10:44Speaker 1: same people, man. Actually, that's what's the revealing news is
- 10:49Speaker 1: saints is really sinners. They're the same people. They just
- 10:53Speaker 1: keep getting up. That's all man. You're listening to show.
- 11:02Speaker 1: All right, y'all, ladies and gentlemen, Good morning, good morning,

- 34:20Speaker 1: just one? How about just you halfway to work? You're
- 34:23Speaker 1: driving right, you look down and you say to yourself,
- 34:27Speaker 1: I am not gonna make it all day in these
- 34:30Speaker 1: new shoes. It's not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen. Yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 1: he quit, take these off. Yeah you're gonna you're gonna
- 34:36Speaker 1: need a butcher knife so you know, bad out hurt
- 34:42Speaker 1: my feet, they ain't gonna do it. You ever got
- 34:46Speaker 1: halfway to work? This ain't really funny. It's just true.
- 34:48Speaker 1: You ever got halfway to work and realize you don't
- 34:50Speaker 1: like what you got on. Oh yeah, yeah, because your
- 34:54Speaker 1: whole day will be messed up if you don't like
- 34:57Speaker 1: what you got on. You got feel y, man? Yeah?
- 35:00Speaker 1: You ever put something on and had to just tug
- 35:03Speaker 1: on it all day? Yeah? Just be pulling on it. Yeah,
- 35:08Speaker 1: you gotta sit a certain way for it to look
- 35:10Speaker 1: just right. Yeah, that's an uncomfortable feeling comfortable. Now, have
- 35:16Speaker 1: you gone back home to change? No, I'm gonna go
- 35:21Speaker 1: back to you. Ain't gone nothing else, but you gotta
- 35:25Speaker 1: go back. Get that phone, Tommy do okay? Yeah at
- 35:28Speaker 1: the hard household that everybody Tommy. My wife has my coat,
- 35:35Speaker 1: you know, my kids, my assistant got the cold. To
- 35:42Speaker 1: my phone, I got my deeply in love you are, Yeah,
- 35:47Speaker 1: deeply in love. I love seeing love. Bless you though, man,
- 35:51Speaker 1: see that kind of stuff. I just ain't doing nothing ignorant. Yeah,
- 35:56Speaker 1: that's rights would be an easy limit. At one point
- 35:59Speaker 1: in timeposed cut off points. Who the lord? Who was
- 36:05Speaker 1: starting the lord? Lord? You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 36:16Speaker 1: Morning Show, all right. When you're short on time, sometimes
- 36:20Speaker 1: you have to grab lunch on the go, like got
- 36:21Speaker 1: a gas station or something like that. These days, there
- 36:24Speaker 1: are plenty of healthy options at most convenience stores, and
- 36:28Speaker 1: thirty one year old Frank Beard is living proof of that.
- 36:32Speaker 1: He's an Iowa man. He lost eighty pounds a few
- 36:35Speaker 1: years back by changing his lifestyle, and last summer he
- 36:38Speaker 1: spent thirty days eating only at gas stations to prove
- 36:42Speaker 1: he could get nutritious meals there all Right. Now, he's
- 36:45Speaker 1: traveling the country to share his story and some people
- 36:48Speaker 1: are working two jobs, long hours, non traditional hours, Beard says,
- 36:52Speaker 1: so it makes sense to eat out for a lot
- 36:54Speaker 1: of people. So I wanted to show them that they
- 36:57Speaker 1: could do that and still make healthy choices. Of course,
- 37:00Speaker 1: some locations are better than others, but lots of gas
- 37:03Speaker 1: stations are for fresh fruit, veggie salads, and sandwiches these days.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Beard says. The key is making healthy choices when you're
- 37:11Speaker 1: surrounded by chips, candy and other less nutritious, tempting options.
- 37:16Speaker 1: So you guys, Stephen Jay, you know you mentioned about
- 37:19Speaker 1: traveling a lot. Uh, so can can you eat healthy? Gas?
- 37:23Speaker 1: About the convenience stores at four and save four thirty
- 37:26Speaker 1: in the morning? Okay, you're coming from the club. You
- 37:29Speaker 1: don't know how long them chicken wings have been there, right,
- 37:32Speaker 1: But there's no place else to get chicken wings. Huh yeah, healthy, Namick.
- 37:38Speaker 1: You don't care. You know you got a gab behind
- 37:42Speaker 1: the gun's gonna lie to you. We just put them
- 37:47Speaker 1: out from Dick. Yea, god really, Jay Junior? Tell them?
- 37:53Speaker 1: Are they good? And what we don't get them chicken
- 37:56Speaker 1: wings although they're not even hot. You're gonna grab them
- 37:58Speaker 1: like the chicken. You don't care, but they're good. Yeah,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you're hungry, Yeah, you're hung Yeah, done now, Mike Rubbery,
- 38:18Speaker 1: But you don't give a damn. Oh my god. This
- 38:26Speaker 1: is interesting because I'm always a little Larry concerned about
- 38:29Speaker 1: the young. You ain't got time to be worrying about
- 38:34Speaker 1: how long it's been on the road in small little
- 38:37Speaker 1: towns and stuff. Yeah you got And that's the last
- 38:40Speaker 1: slice of pizza. Oh yeah, yeah, wrap that up. I'll
- 38:45Speaker 1: be taking that with me. I'll be taking that my
- 38:48Speaker 1: favorite meal at a gas station. Yeah, I kid you not.
- 38:54Speaker 1: What was a cola joke? Cola when I was out
- 38:59Speaker 1: on remember Joe cola? Yeah, or some type of cola
- 39:03Speaker 1: and two damn moon pass. Oh good. You could hit
- 39:08Speaker 1: the road. You could hit the road, man, Yeah, you could.
- 39:11Speaker 1: You could do some driving over that I'm like my
- 39:14Speaker 1: girlfriend on that when she said I cannot mix my
- 39:17Speaker 1: sweets cake. She can't eat sweets with sweets. I drink
- 39:22Speaker 1: a soda and then eat it and do it. All right,
- 39:25Speaker 1: we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 39:28Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 39:34Speaker 1: tell us about your handcuffs story we were talking about.
- 39:36Speaker 1: I was twitters, I got out of college. I met
- 39:39Speaker 1: this girl at this job. I had took me a
- 39:42Speaker 1: while to convince it to go out with me. Finally
- 39:44Speaker 1: when I went out ahead. Then about six some times,
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm sitting down pulling it on thing as I can. Man,
- 39:50Speaker 1: I got this good. I didn't really know who I
- 39:52Speaker 1: was pulling it on too. I just kept pulling it
- 39:55Speaker 1: and pulling it on. You know, when I'm with you,
- 39:57Speaker 1: my heart just my heart matters, and my heart ain't
- 40:02Speaker 1: matter to me? Is so long you actually make my
- 40:04Speaker 1: heart matter. I'm girl, you don't even understand. I had
- 40:09Speaker 1: it going on this girl. Finally, Man, one evening, she said,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you have got to come on, and I don't want
- 40:16Speaker 1: you to leave. I said, finally got here, Thank your Lord,
- 40:22Speaker 1: go by there. We get through having dinner and shot
- 40:25Speaker 1: up and everything. Think getting a little crazy up in here.
- 40:28Speaker 1: So she said, I got some been just a fantasy
- 40:31Speaker 1: of man to do with you. I got these handcuffs.
- 40:35Speaker 1: The handcuffs had fur on them, so I didn't think
- 40:38Speaker 1: nothing of it. So she said, I want to just handcuffed, y'all. Said, now,
- 40:42Speaker 1: you know, just just just for a little bit, because
- 40:45Speaker 1: I don't like being handcuffed. Right, She said, I would
- 40:48Speaker 1: never hurt you. This half a handcuffed me, but inside
- 40:52Speaker 1: the damn fur was metal. Yeah, I mean, I mean really,
- 40:56Speaker 1: so now I'm handcuffs. As soon as she handcuffed. Change
- 41:00Speaker 1: what do you mean? She changed? So I said, hey, baby,
- 41:03Speaker 1: let me do this right here. Put the key in
- 41:05Speaker 1: my other hand. She took the key and throw it
- 41:07Speaker 1: behind the dresser. Hell, we got damn problem. I got
- 41:14Speaker 1: boxer draws on with the lips on them. You know.
- 41:17Speaker 1: I had the box of drawers. I thought they were sexy.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I found them had the lips prints on them, and
- 41:22Speaker 1: it kisses all over the drawers. Yeah. I'm sitting up
- 41:25Speaker 1: in here, man, sure what I think of that? Ain't
- 41:31Speaker 1: what it wants. Just had some lips on, no lips
- 41:34Speaker 1: by call come on with the story man, and I
- 41:42Speaker 1: just Helfer through this key behind the dresser, and she
- 41:44Speaker 1: turned around all of a sudden, she looked evil, I said,
- 41:48Speaker 1: And she said, I'm fit to show you something. And
- 41:51Speaker 1: she took her teeth and started tearing the draws off.
- 41:53Speaker 1: And I'm scared. There's too much teeth, just too Where
- 41:57Speaker 1: is you biting for this? Helfer was gnawing on me.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I'm talking about she eating me. Damn near alive. I mean,

- 43:03Speaker 1: it no more, and I just pulled hard as I could,
- 43:06Speaker 1: and I bent the ball so far back that it
- 43:08Speaker 1: popped out the little hole in the top. I had
- 43:11Speaker 1: one hand free, but I got a or pussing the
- 43:14Speaker 1: bed in my hand. What I'm trying to beat this
- 43:17Speaker 1: half off me because this half ain't trying to stop.

- 43:25Speaker 1: on thick, I said, okay, cool. Finally man got enough strength.
- 43:31Speaker 1: She rolled off. I got my other hand over the
- 43:34Speaker 1: boy the ball and just pulled hard as I could
- 43:36Speaker 1: and broke the bed post on that side and got
- 43:38Speaker 1: my hand up off that ball. You have seen my skinny,
- 43:41Speaker 1: niked ass trying to be in over the head the
- 43:42Speaker 1: dress and get that damn key, because I've been over
- 43:48Speaker 1: the dressing reaching for the key. She said, I want
- 43:52Speaker 1: to do something else to you. I turned around and said,
- 43:55Speaker 1: hold up. When I've been over like that. You don't

- 48:50Speaker 1: give you two hours to come into the station, or
- 48:53Speaker 1: I will send a squad car out to get you.

- 52:51Speaker 1: experience and not justifiably no, but just done. Yeah. I
- 52:57Speaker 1: have been stopped in my cop pulled over all my
- 53:00Speaker 1: stuff on the curb told going to Strongsville jail. No,

- 54:13Speaker 1: If you want to, we don't keep doing the show.
- 54:17Speaker 1: But thank you guys for submitting your letters. We're here
- 54:19Speaker 1: to help. We are Come on, neff buckle up letter
- 54:25Speaker 1: subject my freaky friend and his wacky wife. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I'm still best friends with my high school sweetheart. He's
- 54:34Speaker 1: happily married now, and his wife and I are good
- 54:36Speaker 1: friends too. Here's my problem. For the past couple of weeks,
- 54:41Speaker 1: He's been making a lot of inappropriate comments of a
- 54:44Speaker 1: sexual nature to me. I always politely tell him that
- 54:48Speaker 1: he needs to say those things to his wife. I
- 54:50Speaker 1: don't need any issues in my life, so I told
- 54:53Speaker 1: his wife that he was making me uncomfortable. This half
- 54:57Speaker 1: of said, well, you know you're his first so you
- 55:00Speaker 1: should take those comments as compliments. You heard me. She
- 55:07Speaker 1: told his wife that her husband was making her feel uncomfortable.
- 55:11Speaker 1: The friend did so, the friend said she called the wife.
- 55:14Speaker 1: A half of she said this. Heffa said, well, you
- 55:17Speaker 1: know you're his first love, so you should take those
- 55:19Speaker 1: comments as compliments. That's what her best friend's wife said.
- 55:24Speaker 1: She said, I had to do a lot of praying
- 55:26Speaker 1: after talking to this woman. Since then, it's gotten worse.
- 55:29Speaker 1: He just came out and told me that he and
- 55:31Speaker 1: his wife don't have sex anymore. I stopped the conversation
- 55:35Speaker 1: and told him that he needs to call one of
- 55:36Speaker 1: his male friends because I could not help him. We
- 55:39Speaker 1: didn't talk for a few days after that. And yes, yes,
- 55:45Speaker 1: you hear it, Yes, we didn't talk for a couple
- 55:48Speaker 1: of days after that, and I started to feel guilty,
- 55:51Speaker 1: like I had let my friend down when he really
- 55:53Speaker 1: needed a true friend to talk to. So I called
- 55:57Speaker 1: him and apologized and told him that he was well
- 56:00Speaker 1: come to come to my house so we could talk.
- 56:03Speaker 1: This fool has the nerve to ask me if I
- 56:06Speaker 1: could be naked when he got there, because because that
- 56:10Speaker 1: would be the best way for me to help him
- 56:13Speaker 1: with his problems. I smoothly cussed him out and told
- 56:17Speaker 1: him that our friendship is over. His wife has called
- 56:20Speaker 1: me several times begging me to mend our friendship. She
- 56:23Speaker 1: said that her husband was only joking with me. This
- 56:26Speaker 1: is all too weird for me. I do miss my friend,
- 56:29Speaker 1: but I don't understand what's happening over there with him
- 56:32Speaker 1: and his wife. Maybe our friendship has run its course.
- 56:36Speaker 1: What do you think? This is some crazy, freaky and
- 56:40Speaker 1: yes wacky too, a whole lot of stuff going on
- 56:44Speaker 1: at your neighbors. So okay, he's crazy, his wife is crazy,
- 56:48Speaker 1: and you're crazy too. If you think you can still
- 56:51Speaker 1: be friends with them. Okay, your relationship with him, as
- 56:54Speaker 1: you know it is over. He just wants to do
- 56:57Speaker 1: you right now, and that's unacceptable, of course, So stop
- 57:02Speaker 1: feeling guilty about not talking to him and feeling like
- 57:05Speaker 1: you owe him something. You know, if you go a
- 57:07Speaker 1: few days without talking to him, feeling guilty because you
- 57:10Speaker 1: don't think you're being a good friend to him, you
- 57:13Speaker 1: don't owe him anything. Okay, you really don't. You have
- 57:16Speaker 1: been a good friend to him since high school. He
- 57:19Speaker 1: decided to change and mess things up. I really don't
- 57:22Speaker 1: understand why his wife isn't more angry and upset about everything.
- 57:26Speaker 1: She's way too cool for me, So I understand why
- 57:29Speaker 1: you say she's wacky and this is weird. I think
- 57:32Speaker 1: this friendship has run his course. I agree with you.
- 57:35Speaker 1: It is time to move on. You should not have
- 57:37Speaker 1: to be in the middle of this craziness. You really
- 57:40Speaker 1: shouldn't as a friend, Steve. I have a lot of
- 57:45Speaker 1: questions in this level. Okay, I'm just gonna be honest.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I got no real way to go with this himself.
- 57:51Speaker 1: Let me read it and interpret it as I see it.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Tommy kill ye y'all go, you're Sherylan Steve, I'm still
- 57:58Speaker 1: best friends with my high school sweetheart. He's happily married now,
- 58:01Speaker 1: and his wife and I are good friends too. Here's
- 58:05Speaker 1: the problem. Yet, you're right right there, right there, right there.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I'm still best friends with my high school sweetheart. He's
- 58:17Speaker 1: happily married now, and his wife and I are good
- 58:21Speaker 1: friends too. He is the problem. You just listed it.
- 58:26Speaker 1: You're exactly right here lies the whole damn problem. You
- 58:32Speaker 1: still friends with your high school sweetheart, and you friends
- 58:35Speaker 1: with his wife too. That's a damn problem. For the
- 58:39Speaker 1: past couple of weeks, he's been making a lot of
- 58:41Speaker 1: inappropriate comments of a sexual nature to me. I've always
- 58:45Speaker 1: politely told him that he needs to say those things
- 58:48Speaker 1: to his wife. I don't need any issues in my life.
- 58:52Speaker 1: So I told his wife, what yea? So now you
- 58:57Speaker 1: don't went over there making these inappropriate mark, you went
- 59:02Speaker 1: and told his wife as he and the woman on
- 59:05Speaker 1: the show is gonna yep, yep, she told as she
- 59:07Speaker 1: shared according to the woman code, I guess you posted
- 59:12Speaker 1: to tell it. God. So I told his wife that
- 59:18Speaker 1: he was making me uncomfortable. This halfer said right here,
- 59:24Speaker 1: see now, right here, you the one went over there
- 59:27Speaker 1: and told her, so this half for said white is white?
- 59:32Speaker 1: This what this half for said, well, you know you
- 59:38Speaker 1: his first love, so you should take those comments as compliments.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Thus the subject of the letter my freaky friend and
- 59:47Speaker 1: his wacky white I had to do a lot of
- 59:50Speaker 1: prayer enough to talk her to this woman. Since then,
- 59:53Speaker 1: it's got worse. Now here's where the letter takes it to.
- 59:56Speaker 1: He just came out and told me that he and
- 59:59Speaker 1: his wife don't have sex anymore. I stopped the conversation
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: that told him that he needs to call one of
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: his male friends because I couldn't help him. I don't
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: know if I'm reading this wrong, but if he calls
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you that him and his wife don't have sex anymore,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: you stopped the conversation, told her he needed to call
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: one of his male friends because I could not help him.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Why would he call his male friend to tell them
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: him and his wife ain't having sex? No, what did
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you saying about the man? Is this something this letter?
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: We don't know, because if you're insinuating that he should
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: call one of his male friends to get, you know,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: some type of satisfaction, then I must go back to
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: the line where you said he just came out and
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: told me that he and his wife. Now we should
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: that have been a commadare no, Steve? If you said
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: he just came out, should that be a comma right then? No? No, no, okay,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: because I got scared in a lot of tom I
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: got quiet when you read it. It's made difference. You
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: need to call one of your male friends because I
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: can't have one of her hair. I'm gonna call half
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: all right, hold that thought, Steve. Okay, we're gonna have
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: part two of your response coming up at twenty three
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: after the hour today's Strawberry Letters subject my freaky friend
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: and his wacky wife right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Come on, let's get to part two of your response
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter, My freaky friend and his wacky
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: wacky wife. This letter right here, romans best friends with
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: her high school sweetheart who happens to be happily married now.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: So she friends with him and the wife. Alrighty, past
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: a couple of weeks he started making some advances to him.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: He told him take that in that to his wife,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and you know she don't need no issues. So she
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: went and told us former high school sweetheart's wife who
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: was her friend, that your husband making me uncomfortable. He
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: making you know, advancements towards this Healther says, well, you
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: know you was his first love, so you should take
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: those comments as compliments. After doing a lot of praying
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: talking to this woman. Since then, it's gotten worse. He
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: just came out told me to hear and his wife
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: don't have sex anymore. I stopped the conversation, told him
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: he needs to call one of his male friends because
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: I couldn't help him. Well. We didn't talk for a
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: few days after that, and I started to feel guilty
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: like I had let my friend down when he really
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: needed a true friend to talk to. So I called
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: him up. I apologize and told him that he was
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: welcome to come to my house so we could talk
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: this food. This fool had the nerve to ask me
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: if I could be naked when he got there. Bam
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: jack pot apology and come over bing bibi bing bing
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: being booty call previous question though about him, because that
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: would be the best way for me to help him
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: with his problem. I smoothly cussed him out, told him
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: that our friendship is hopeful. Smoothly his wife has called
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: me several times, begging me to mend our friendship. She
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: said that her husband was only joking with me so
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: this food. Then went back in the house to whack
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: it and told whacking she won't even answer my call.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I told when I got over there to be nagged,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I was just joking with her, right, whacky wife. This
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: a whack ass couple. The husband whacking, the wife whacking,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: and you whack it for being friends with him. Okay,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: but it don't stop here. This is all too weird
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: for me. I do miss my friend whatever, but I
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: don't understand what's happening over there with him and his wife.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Maybe our friendship has run his course. What do you think, lady?
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: This is not a friendship. This is a situation, that's
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: all this is. This is not friendship. This is a situation.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Friends do kind things for each other, Friends support each other.

- 1:05:06Speaker 1: But cookie to it. You don't you know what? She
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: don't see him that way? What did he say? And
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: she said she could give him some cookie till he
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: get his self. Strea the best friend who she is
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: just a it's crazy. I'm so sorry. Yeah, this friendship, though,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: isn't over. I mean the wife thinking excuses. Yeah, the
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: wife is calling her you need to be his friend.

- 1:05:57Speaker 1: joking with you when he said you are to be naked.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: You know how he played. They've been over there talking
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: about getting her. Yeah, yeah, this is this is what
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: you do. I'm gonna do this. Yep. The only way
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: this work is Whacky would have to go. But when

- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. People keep
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: talking to me about blank. We'll explain right after this
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: you're listening to So Steve. We got an email from
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: a listener. It says, my friend is a chef. People
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: always talk to him about cooking. Even if he wants
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: to talk about something besides food, the conversation inevitably goes
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: back to him being a great chef. The email goes
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: on to say, I have a friend working for candidate
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: running for office, and every conversation in which she protects
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: inevitably turns into politics. So, Steve, what does every conversation
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: in your life turn into? I mean, do people talk
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: about what TV money is? Funny money and advice? Success?
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: And it's not that now. It's not that they ask
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: for money. They want to discuss, you know, ideas for it,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: how to make more. I don't really mind that, you know.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: I mean, it's like when you meet a chef, you're
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: gonna have questions because everybody loves inside information. A guy
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: in politics you want to get his opinion. You meet
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: a pro football player, you want to get information about
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: playing ball, other teams. High song. So man, have you
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: ever faced and Rogers? That's just coming? So you know, man,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: you know people, Man, how was it man? You know,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's like people see Marjorie all
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: the time. They're going, I bet he's just a hoop
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: to live with. I bet he just funny holiday time.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: They think comedian. No, he's not funny at home at all.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: They just go, you just saying that, like I'm just
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: at the house, just show never stopped. Yeah, yeah, like
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: they always want to ask tell me they have a
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: strawberry letter for me. I got a letter for you.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: What I always talking to you about? Tommy prank my mama,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: prank my dad, prank my uncle. I'm stupid when the
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: people I meet me. Let me just clear this up.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: I don't know where Steve is. I don't know what
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: he's doing for all of us. For all I'm not
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: with him. I don't know where the hell he is.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: I don't talk to him that much. I just don't know.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: And don't give me a damn thing to give him
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: him coming with that one. Oh, I'm not taking it.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: You're gonna win with a bag, Steve ain't tell But
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: how do you not take the stuff? Oh? You know
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: what I do. And I'm gonna emit this, I'm gonna
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: say it. I'll take it, but I thought it was.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I've watched him do it now. Yeah, I don't want
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: to hurt nobody feeling. Oh yeah, you know what. You
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: know what I don't like Jake when they roll up
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: on Tommy, got something just for you, dog, just for you,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: whole type. Come back ten minute later. Here it is,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: get this to Steve. I'm this is my book, and
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I know here like this book. Yeah, it's kind of
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: like his book, but not a fool like his book.

- 1:19:38Speaker 1: me of that meme where this person was washing chitlands
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: in their tub in their bathtub at home. Yes, that's
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: why you can't take food from strangers. You don't know

- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I did. No man, that's Steve. I can't coming up
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: more of this crazy ignorance. Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: after this, you're listening, all right, here's the question for everyone. Everyone,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: check it out. You're ready, I'm ready already. Can we
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: live forever? That's the question. Just last year, scientists Daffy
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Albert Einstein College of Medicine came to the conclusion that
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: humans are living as long as they possibly can these days,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: with the best of them getting up to who knew,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: one hundred and fifteen years old? One hundred and fifteen
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: years old? Yeah. Well, now a group of Canadian researchers
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: believe that humans don't have a limit. That's right. One
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: day human beings might actually be able to live forever.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: They point out the lifestyle span, that lifespans continue to
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: get longer and longer, and that they don't see an
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: end in sight. Would you want to though, I think
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: you already answered. You haven't taken care of myself, so
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: I don't see that happening. You don't want to be
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: a hundred eteen year old, but I do want to
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: be a bother to my children. Yes, you want to stare?
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, and even when I'm going, I want
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: to be you know, cremated. Put in the living room
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: and when you walk padgy gold, I'll put you in
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: the ground, don't care when you want the hands come out? Yeah,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: that would be the scariest thing at night, going to Liberal,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: That would be the scariest thing. I hang around if
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: I could do it. In shape? Yeah yeah, in shape?
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah healthy look good and you're healthy yeah strong?
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Yeah look good though one fifteen, I don't know what?
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: Oh wait what yeh wait what what? Tommy say it again?
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: I said, I hang around if I can still do it?
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: You still you have sex? I thought, He meant, if
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you why y'all stay here? Yeah? But you want you
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: want working it? Working in Younger women had a hundred.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: He's gonna have night girl, got me a night, little
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: seven yo. Way to ya heart. You ye against the law.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: You're bringing a law somewhere, sticking the hundred. You're doing.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: You're fifteen years span, you're just robbing the crab, winking
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: at me. Got her black home a figure. Boy. You
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: have all kinds of colored pills, blue, yellow, red, What
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: are the colors? They're not all blue? So you know
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I heard so you've heard heard the blue, the blue, yellow, yellow,
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: one and they constant line. So let me tell you
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: another tip. Make sure you're going to do something before
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: you take one. Okay, show the down. You don't want
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: to waste. Oh so what do you hold me? Money?
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Damn it? But that's what you heard. That's what you heard.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: That's what I heard. My nice They look like skittles
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: right now, wows and reds and yellows. And what's going
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: on with you talking about system? Shout already? I just
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: like that extra work. You know, that's not healthy, that's
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: not smart. People love it, people love it. Who are
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: these people at? Who are these strange people who speak
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: of people? A? Yeah, I just think when it's my time,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: I want to go, you know, whenever that is. Yeah,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: all right, we'll be back after this. All right, you're
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: listening to show, all right, Stephen, the guys, uh this
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: is this is a segment Jay Road called your halfway
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: to Work. When you realize things happened to you get up,
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: you've been there halfway to work. Half what you get up?
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: You you got your clothes on, and then you realize
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: you half way to work. You good for you. Sometimes
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: you pulled up at work, yeah, and you realize, wow,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: you halfway to work, and you realize, damn this Saturday,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: I should be going that way. You're going that way
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: so so often man, Yeah, I didn't been halfway to work.
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: I didn't been halfway to work and realize my phone.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Who was on my nice thing? Oh, I don't call
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: and say I just ain't gonna make it, will be
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: late to go back. Didn't get this phone? We half
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: at home. Yeah. You can't leave your phone out. No,
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: you can't leave you phone. No, I know our radio
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: show for four hours. No sitting on this radio and
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: that phone just out there anywhere. It's not anywhere. Let
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: me just say this color. If he don't go get
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: that phone, he can't do the next day Okay, I
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: got it. He got to go get that phone. You
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: half way to work, Huh, I could turn this third round.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: I'd have left the baby at the house, left the
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: baby on your phone. Remember I was saying my mom,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: I was working. I ain't gonna kill me because I
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: was halfway to work, realized I'd have left the front
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: door wide people just by looking in the house. You
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: all dressed up, and you look down right, you got
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: your tie on, your jacket on, you look down, you
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: still got on your pajama pants dress. What is going
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: on with my life? Man? You have to work? And
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: then realized I didn't brush none of my damn what
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: is this I'm smelling that? Damn it is me. It's me,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: It's me, hey Jay Tommy. Uh. I would have been
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: halfway to work and then realize when I get to work,
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: I would have to borrow some money. My damn wash,
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: imnna have to borrow from somebody. Yeah, somebody I got
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: wanted to kill you. This was back in the day.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: I've been on my way to work and forgot that
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I didn't even go home that night. Oh you didn't
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: check in people looking for what mean you didn't do
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: I just had to go to work from where I walked.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: You never made it back home. No, I love it,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: love it. Yeah, you had way to work and you
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: realize I had this on yesterday. Use the night, befhone,
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: you knew you you're listening, all right, we are back.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: This is our last break of the day, Steve. We're
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: ready for your clothing remarks. I'm so happy they're back today.
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: I want to give you all something that came to me.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: It came to me this morning. I was been in
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: really over the weekend. I was doing a lot of
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: prayerful meditating over the weekend, you know, just trying to
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: recenter myself. You know, sometimes I get a little off,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: you know, I see myself sliding off course, I'm forgetting
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: to be grateful as I should. I start working on
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: some things that I want to happen so badly. I
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: keep pouring a lot of time into it. I keep,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: you know, reviewing my plans and goals and sometimes you know,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: your second guest stuff, and sometimes you spend a lot
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: of time just scratching your head trying to figure out
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: your next move. I'm sure everybody can relate to that.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: How you sit up in here, man, and some of
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: your best laid plans seem to be going a ride
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: and you just can't figure it out. I was sitting
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: up and somebody sent me this this morning, and it's
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: entitled Release, and as I read it, I just want
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: to share with you the thought that I was having
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: when I was reading this thing called Release, and it says,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: Heavenly Father, I release to you the burdens that I
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: have been carried, burdens that you never intended for me
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: to carry. You know what I read that? It meant
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: something to me because a lot of the stuff that's
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: on us that we can around hen't He won't even
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: intend for us to carry around. We just can it
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: around because we didn't took it upon ourselves to worry
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: about it. We didn't took it upon ourself that this
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: is now this albatross around our neck when God really
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: didn't intend for that. You know, other people's problems really
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: ain't your problems. They can bring it to you, but
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: that don't mean is yours. So you end up carrying
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: around stuff that God never intended for you to carry.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: You know, like you hear your great grandmama used to say,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: don't let other people put their trash in your trash
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: can because you need all that room for your trage,
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: but now you can around somebody else's. Then it goes
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: on to say, I cast all my cares upon you,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: all my worries, all my fears. You have told me
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: to not be anxious about anything, but rather to bring
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: everything to you in prayer with thankfulness. Man, I have
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: forgotten about that. And when I read that, it reminded
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: me that I shouldn't be anxious about these deals. I'm
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: working on my next move, what I need to get done.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Why am I tripping about that? I don't know how
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: it's gonna turn out anyway. I'm anxious about something that
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: I actually have no control over. So I just said
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: to me, Steve, just turned this over to who got
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: all this in control, and let him have it, and
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: be grateful for what you have. And then it says, Father,
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: calm my relentless spirit, quiet my anxious heart, still my
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: troubling thoughts, with the assurance that you are in control. Man.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: Ain't that cool when you turn something over to God
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: and all of a sudden you have a calmness or
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: quiet in the stillness because you ain't got to wear
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: about it. No more then it says, I let go
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: of my grip upon the things that have been I've
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: been hanging on too. With open hands. I come to you.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: I release to you and will all that I am
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: trying to manipulate. I release to you all that I'm
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: trying to manipulate. So if you let go of stuff,
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: if you let go of a lot of stuff that
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: you're hanging on to, y'all, you can go to God
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: with open hands. If you go to God with open hands,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: he got something to feel now. But if you hanging
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: on and got a death grip on a whole bunch
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: of stuff that you can't do nothing about it, and
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: it's really meaningless, you ain't got room to receive what
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: He got for you. So I release to you all
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: that I am trying to manipulate. I release to you
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: your authority, all that I am trying to control. I
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: release to your timing all that I have been striving
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: to make happen. Everything I've been trying to make happen.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you make it happen. Everything I've been
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: wanting to happen at a certain time, I'm gonna let
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: that happen in your time. You do it in your time,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: when it's your will for me. It's called release. Just
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: let it go, man, because you're tripping about stuff you
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: really can't control. That's an amazing thing. Then it says,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: I thank you for your promise to sustain me, because
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: that's his promise to sustain you, preserve me and God
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: all that I have entrusted to your keeping. So now
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: when you turn it over to God and you let
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: him have it, and you release this grip on this
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: stuff that you have no control over, and you ask
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: for his calmness and your quiet and you release everything
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: to him, guess what now you can just trust that
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: you didn't put it in the right hands. You got
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: to it in the best hand. So he gonna protect
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: that now he watching over it instead of you watching
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: over it. Now, who would you rather hand watching over something?
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: You are God, protect my heart and mind with your peace,
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: the peace that passes all understanding. Father, May your will
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: be done in my life. That was powerful to me, man.
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: And I read that this morning and I said, Wow,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna share that with everybody because that really helped
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: me today man, that it allowed me to let go
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: of something, to let gold stuff that I've been hanging
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: on to trying to make stuff happen when there's so
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: much stuff that's out of my control. If you just
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: let it go, turn it over to God, and be
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: all right with it. Because he'd been having you, why
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: would he not have this? But we grab ourselves and
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: we want to be a part of it so much
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: that we end up getting in the way. So I
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: asked that this will be done in my life, in
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: your time, and in your way, however he want to
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: do it, and whenever he want to do it, I'm
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: cool with that. Stop being anxious for everything, y'all, step back,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: turn it over to God and let him do what
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: he'd do. You feel me? Feel you? That was good? Yeah? Yeah, y'all.
