- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now
- 2:07Speaker 1: one it only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Real glad about it too, you know. Um, I hope
- 2:16Speaker 1: that God always keeps me in the frame of frame
- 2:20Speaker 1: of mind to try to be sharing and try to
- 2:25Speaker 1: be motivational, and even when it's not felt or wanted
- 2:31Speaker 1: by some people. I have people around me who seem
- 2:35Speaker 1: to not benefited off or anything, and I can sit
- 2:38Speaker 1: with them and talk to them or take meetings with
- 2:41Speaker 1: them to try to encourage them, and for whatever reason,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know, they want to just keep going the way
- 2:46Speaker 1: they're going. When you run into people like that, you
- 2:49Speaker 1: have to pray for them. You have to just hope
- 2:50Speaker 1: that one day that they release the chains on their
- 2:54Speaker 1: mind and open up your mind to a new way
- 2:56Speaker 1: of thinking. A couple of things I wanted to go
- 2:59Speaker 1: over with it. I want you all today in terms
- 3:02Speaker 1: of motivation. I want you to be aware of statements
- 3:07Speaker 1: or old sayings that have been created that you hear
- 3:12Speaker 1: over the course of time, and you may be applying
- 3:16Speaker 1: them to your life. And I want you to be
- 3:18Speaker 1: careful of some of them because some of these old sayings, man,
- 3:23Speaker 1: are not designed for people who are dreamers, are not
- 3:28Speaker 1: designed for people who have any aspirations of being extraordinary.
- 3:34Speaker 1: These are not designs or sayings that people who want
- 3:38Speaker 1: to be extremely successful at anything or have high aspirations
- 3:43Speaker 1: to put these sayings into your life. Let me give
- 3:47Speaker 1: you an example. Statistics say that's it. That's the one
- 3:55Speaker 1: who want you to be careful about statistics, say be
- 4:01Speaker 1: very careful of stats. When a person says, you know statistics,
- 4:07Speaker 1: say one out of every what see, listen to me.
- 4:12Speaker 1: These are things that sound like they're good, sound solid advice,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but they're setting you up for failure and you can't
- 4:20Speaker 1: adhere yourself to a lot of these sayings that's been
- 4:24Speaker 1: passed down from generations and it's not scripture. It ain't
- 4:29Speaker 1: in the scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people,
- 4:34Speaker 1: and a lot of people who have lost have come
- 4:38Speaker 1: up with these sayings to justify why they keep losing
- 4:42Speaker 1: or why they lost. When I was arst got started
- 4:46Speaker 1: in the business, there were more stand ups around now
- 4:50Speaker 1: than it is today because the comedy boom in eighty
- 4:54Speaker 1: four eighty five was it was gaining a lot of momentums,
- 5:00Speaker 1: comedy clubs, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy
- 5:04Speaker 1: told me I told him I wanted to be on
- 5:09Speaker 1: the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The guy said,
- 5:15Speaker 1: one out of every two thousand comedians ever make it
- 5:20Speaker 1: to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he told us that,
- 5:29Speaker 1: some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow, man,
- 5:33Speaker 1: oh that's rough. Because a guy had also said that
- 5:36Speaker 1: there was approximately six thousand comedians in the country at
- 5:41Speaker 1: that time. I don't know if it was true. I'm
- 5:44Speaker 1: just telling you guy was out there sputing numbers. I
- 5:46Speaker 1: have no idea how many it was, but he said
- 5:49Speaker 1: one in every two thousand will make it to the
- 5:52Speaker 1: Tonight Show. And he let the air out of everybody
- 5:54Speaker 1: in the room button be so every night before I
- 5:59Speaker 1: went on stage, I used to do this right here,
- 6:01Speaker 1: Badama da bada la la la da badampa ba la
- 6:08Speaker 1: la la da. That was the tonight theme song. I
- 6:12Speaker 1: was young, opening act know where near Hollywood, didn't. I
- 6:16Speaker 1: was in Cleveland telling jokes at one night us. But
- 6:18Speaker 1: that was my thing because I was bent and determined
- 6:22Speaker 1: that if it's one in two thousand, okay, why don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: I just be the one? Be careful when people say
- 6:29Speaker 1: so statistics say because they are set up to ful failure.
- 6:33Speaker 1: If you're gonna adhere to him, see that one in
- 6:35Speaker 1: so many, it wann't so many people win the lottery.
- 6:38Speaker 1: But if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna
- 6:40Speaker 1: be the one to hit. Now when the dude hit
- 6:41Speaker 1: you go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's
- 6:44Speaker 1: another one. Maybe it's not meant to be right. Let's
- 6:50Speaker 1: go one step further. I guess it wasn't the Lord's will.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have
- 7:00Speaker 1: not done yourself because you didn't get the proper education,
- 7:04Speaker 1: because you didn't do the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:08Speaker 1: because you didn't stay to the task because you quit,
- 7:11Speaker 1: turned around and with the other way. Now, maybe it's
- 7:14Speaker 1: not It wasn't the lord's will. These are all statements
- 7:18Speaker 1: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the time,
- 7:23Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old
- 7:28Speaker 1: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen
- 7:31Speaker 1: in your life. Don't put all your eggs in one basket?
- 7:39Speaker 1: Who came up with this? Who came up with the
- 7:42Speaker 1: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,
- 7:46Speaker 1: how are you gonna be great at that one thing?
- 7:50Speaker 1: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordans, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had
- 7:55Speaker 1: not played basketball sun up to sundown, Magic Johnson didn't
- 7:59Speaker 1: go to of Michigan to get an education. Land Burry
- 8:04Speaker 1: didn't go to Indiana to get an education. These casts
- 8:08Speaker 1: was balling. Michael Jordan didn't go to North Carolina to
- 8:10Speaker 1: get an education. They went to play ball. They went
- 8:14Speaker 1: to do one thing. Tiger Woods didn't go to Stanford
- 8:18Speaker 1: to get an education. He went to play golf. Soon
- 8:22Speaker 1: as he got good enough, he'd gone. These are guys
- 8:26Speaker 1: that put all their eggs in one basket. See what's
- 8:30Speaker 1: cool with putting all your eggs in one basket. Is
- 8:32Speaker 1: you now can maximize your effort and laser beam what
- 8:36Speaker 1: you're doing. Your problem is all you gotta do is
- 8:40Speaker 1: make sure what is your basket made out of. If
- 8:45Speaker 1: your basket is made out of faith, hope, hard work,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and belief, then guess what, that's a good basket. I'm
- 8:53Speaker 1: dumping all mine in it. Because ever since I was
- 8:56Speaker 1: a young dude, I've been telling jokes, one thing, one
- 8:59Speaker 1: thing on even when it got ugly and I was
- 9:01Speaker 1: living in a car, I never quit telling them jokes. Man.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I just kept believing that them jokes was gonna pay
- 9:07Speaker 1: me one day, and I'll be dog gone if it didn't.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I ain't take no time off. Go work at Walmart,
- 9:13Speaker 1: give me a job, go back to Forward and beg
- 9:15Speaker 1: for my job back. Hey man, put all your eggs
- 9:19Speaker 1: in a basket. Just make sure that your basket is
- 9:22Speaker 1: made up of faith, hope, belief, hard work. Your basket
- 9:27Speaker 1: woven by God what you're tripping for. And then here's
- 9:31Speaker 1: another one. Let me throw this one that you always
- 9:34Speaker 1: have a plan B. That's another loser statement. Why do
- 9:37Speaker 1: you have a plan B? Listen to me in order
- 9:40Speaker 1: to have a plan B, you have to stop working
- 9:43Speaker 1: on plan A to formulate Plan B. In order to
- 9:46Speaker 1: have plan B to fall back on. You now have
- 9:49Speaker 1: to stop your time working on Plan A to apply
- 9:52Speaker 1: some effort to have a Plan B. So in case
- 9:54Speaker 1: plan at work, you can fall back on Plan B. Really,
- 9:58Speaker 1: who told you that? People ask me all the time
- 10:02Speaker 1: with Steve, I don't make no sense. You ain't got
- 10:04Speaker 1: no Plan B. Supposed plan A don't work, then I
- 10:07Speaker 1: just go get another Plan A. I'm gonna put all
- 10:11Speaker 1: my eggs in the basket. If you have Plan B.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You are planning on Plan A not working. Man, you're
- 10:22Speaker 1: defeating yourself. Where is your faith? Where is your belief?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Where is your trust? At one point in time, you
- 10:30Speaker 1: got to believe that God could do what he say
- 10:32Speaker 1: gonna do. Because he didn't done it for others, he'll
- 10:34Speaker 1: most certainly do it for you. Be careful of these
- 10:37Speaker 1: sayings that's out here, that's aligned by losers and people
- 10:41Speaker 1: to justify why they are not succeeded. Don't apply this
- 10:44Speaker 1: stuff to your life, and it ain't got nothing to
- 10:46Speaker 1: do with you. You're gonna mess yourself up. Get your
- 10:49Speaker 1: Plan A, make it work if it don't ever come
- 10:52Speaker 1: to pass then get another plan A. All right, okay,
- 10:57Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Ladies and gentlemen, man have your
- 11:03Speaker 1: attention please, the introductions will be different today, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:09Speaker 1: The Cleveland Browns him, damn brown don't one again? Really
- 11:20Speaker 1: to Cleveland Baker Mayfield up, Miles Neil, Yes, Lord, God
- 11:35Speaker 1: for you, Father God, five winds technically sick. We count
- 11:40Speaker 1: the ties of wow. Hell yeah, we count ties as
- 11:44Speaker 1: victories when you war a gameleman two years you know
- 11:47Speaker 1: what I'm saying at boil, Let me tell you something.
- 11:50Speaker 1: To Cleveland Browns beat the carol out of Pam that
- 11:54Speaker 1: cameras my dude, but board to with the paum. Then
- 12:00Speaker 1: let me say this. What had my heart a little
- 12:04Speaker 1: heavy on yesterday even though I was relishing in the
- 12:12Speaker 1: joy of winning the game. Texans law Yeah, we know, real, Yeah,
- 12:26Speaker 1: Texas lost on a Sunday, that the Browns war. That's
- 12:30Speaker 1: his story getting it. That's like, you know what I mean?
- 12:34Speaker 1: You know, it's such a happy sad time here on
- 12:37Speaker 1: the morning. What was it last week? Last week? Yesterday
- 12:47Speaker 1: the damn Browns won, and yesterday the Texas lost. Now
- 12:52Speaker 1: did you want to go back to last week. We
- 12:57Speaker 1: can go back to two weeks ago when the Browns
- 12:59Speaker 1: won again. Wow, wow, congratulations, Yeah right, no, no, no, no no,
- 13:06Speaker 1: don't congrat who y'are playing in the playoffs, who y'are
- 13:09Speaker 1: playing in the playoffs. Don't grunt congratulate me in that tone.
- 13:12Speaker 1: We don't know what we're gonna make the playoffs. I
- 13:16Speaker 1: know who y'all playing in the playoffs. We're gonna play
- 13:19Speaker 1: nobody right there. We're gonna play somebody, you know what,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you know, playing somebody and beating somebody two different damn things.
- 13:29Speaker 1: But you know fourteen that went from no wins to
- 13:32Speaker 1: five less and you know, and you know, dog, and
- 13:36Speaker 1: you can't really bust my bull, not at all, not
- 13:39Speaker 1: in the least bit. I don't understand what me is
- 13:41Speaker 1: Cleveland Brown fan, yea man you can't know. And he
- 13:47Speaker 1: is standing ovation for him. You're hearing greatest thing. Man.
- 13:54Speaker 1: What they doing in Cleveland this morning? Oh? Dog, Oh
- 13:58Speaker 1: they they still drunk from last night. And hey, man,
- 14:03Speaker 1: let me ask you something. The Saints pool of game
- 14:06Speaker 1: yesterday didn't then, okay, I missed this last play with
- 14:12Speaker 1: New England. Uncle, I didn't see you, my m a.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I missed this play everybody. That was the second greatest
- 14:21Speaker 1: joy on my son. Okay, New England lost, but it
- 14:27Speaker 1: takes a minute to describe the play. I want to
- 14:30Speaker 1: hear this. Okay, all right, Uh, we're coming back. And
- 14:33Speaker 1: when we do come back, Steve's going to talk to
- 14:36Speaker 1: us about the last play with the New England Patriots team.
- 14:39Speaker 1: We'll be back to thirty two after the hour right
- 14:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Right before we
- 14:48Speaker 1: went to break, Tommy asked you about the very last
- 14:51Speaker 1: play of the New England game. Now what happened? Yeah, Well,
- 15:01Speaker 1: the New England and Miami Dolphins was in a back
- 15:06Speaker 1: to back battle game all along lead, no lead, Loveland
- 15:10Speaker 1: and then here come New England doing what they do,
- 15:12Speaker 1: made a comeback. Well, we down to the last play,
- 15:18Speaker 1: fourth down. I can't remember if it was nine eleven
- 15:22Speaker 1: or thirteen seconds on the clock, but it was fourth down.
- 15:26Speaker 1: This is their last player. If they don't get this
- 15:28Speaker 1: first down, that's it. So they were thinking of hell
- 15:31Speaker 1: marry into the end zone. So New England put on defense.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Gronkowski number eighty seven, They big tight end. He playing
- 15:43Speaker 1: back deep, you know, to knock the ball down or
- 15:46Speaker 1: catch it. So nobody else would catch it, right, so
- 15:49Speaker 1: they put him back deep safety on defense. The Tanner Hill,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I think there's a name for the Miami Dolphins, fades back.
- 15:58Speaker 1: He goes back, throws a mid range pass over the middle.
- 16:05Speaker 1: The guy catches it, takes a few steps, turns, and
- 16:09Speaker 1: Ladder rolls it kind of like a push pass latter
- 16:13Speaker 1: role to to a guy coming. He head down the sidelines.
- 16:18Speaker 1: They close in on him. He faked like he gonna
- 16:23Speaker 1: throw it to somebody else, So let me see it
- 16:27Speaker 1: was one two. I think it was just two people
- 16:30Speaker 1: of testing. He faked like he was gonna throw it
- 16:33Speaker 1: to somebody that then cut across the middle of the
- 16:34Speaker 1: broke back towards the sideline. Last person to get him
- 16:37Speaker 1: was Gronkowski. Gronkowski broke, then Gronkowski stumble, then Gronkowski dove.
- 16:46Speaker 1: This dude ran an ends on it through that damn
- 16:48Speaker 1: ball out the stadium. New England lost hey Man on
- 16:54Speaker 1: the last player of the game. But if you have
- 16:56Speaker 1: seen Tom Brady face he was, if you have seen
- 17:01Speaker 1: them holding their helmets, you'd have seen the disbelief on
- 17:04Speaker 1: Miami's team. Oh, it was a wonderful, wonderful feeling. So wonderful.
- 17:11Speaker 1: That was so you had an outstanding week. Oh you
- 17:16Speaker 1: had a great Sunday looked like that, don't it. Man,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I just you don't even know how. I was just
- 17:24Speaker 1: sitting up in here, just you know, I was so
- 17:29Speaker 1: sad by the Houston Texans. It was such a happy
- 17:35Speaker 1: said moment, happy said. I was happy. I was. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: was ecstatic that the Brown Law. I was overjoyed that
- 17:43Speaker 1: the Patriots Law, this crushing blow came in was lost
- 17:48Speaker 1: to the well. Later in the morning, we're gonna go
- 17:53Speaker 1: through all of the week fourteen NFL wins and losses
- 17:58Speaker 1: and see how pimping did anyway, Steve, Yeah, when y'all
- 18:02Speaker 1: going through that later on this Eastern No, not right now,
- 18:10Speaker 1: give it, give it a little time. We have lots
- 18:12Speaker 1: of stuff to cover. Yeah, give it some time, give
- 18:15Speaker 1: it a little time. Let him marinate a little bit. Yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: thank you, Simon. Yeah, you got to talk about Jerk
- 18:22Speaker 1: Cleveland when for most of the morning until we actually
- 18:25Speaker 1: get to week fourteen, I probably yeah, right, I believe
- 18:32Speaker 1: like a thousand times already introduce us this morning, just
- 18:36Speaker 1: a brown ladies and gentlemen. Baker Mayfield, Miles Gay. Yeah,
- 18:48Speaker 1: he went back to Jim Brown. Yeah, that's who. I
- 18:52Speaker 1: don't see what the problem is. Yeah, but I mean
- 18:56Speaker 1: it has to be a good feeling though, because Cleveland said,
- 18:59Speaker 1: there's a great yell. Five wins from three years and
- 19:02Speaker 1: no wins. That's that's unbelievable. That's that's amazing. But but
- 19:06Speaker 1: we were competitive in all the games. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield. Can I ask you got a good quarterback?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Go ahead, I need to ask a question. Is it
- 19:19Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield that's changed the team around or is it
- 19:23Speaker 1: the whole team? No, it's a number of things. Okay,
- 19:27Speaker 1: it's not just Baer. I mean, you don't look, man,
- 19:31Speaker 1: we needed a quarterback desperately, and we love his name,
- 19:34Speaker 1: don't forget Jay. So he's the best quarterback we've seen
- 19:38Speaker 1: in years. And he has a lot to do with
- 19:41Speaker 1: the success because of his attitude. But we got a
- 19:45Speaker 1: running game, we got a defense. We got that boy
- 19:50Speaker 1: out of Ohio State that's got the concussion Ward, yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: Denz Award. We got defensive line, we got some defense
- 20:01Speaker 1: that runs to the ball. Got to do with anything,
- 20:08Speaker 1: that has everything to do with everything. Okay, go on, sorry,
- 20:12Speaker 1: and that's it, man, And uh, you know them boys
- 20:14Speaker 1: is like hustling. And now that we even got Hugh
- 20:17Speaker 1: Jackson out of there, it's a different mindset in the
- 20:20Speaker 1: locker room, you know, it's a different mindset. They even
- 20:25Speaker 1: better football team now without huge jack So have they
- 20:29Speaker 1: made all the changes that you wanted them to make? No?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Hell no? No? What else? What else you wanted to make? Wow? Oh,
- 20:38Speaker 1: we gotta get a little stronger offensive line. Okay, we
- 20:44Speaker 1: got a pretty good receiving team. I ain't mad at
- 20:46Speaker 1: the running back. Quarterback is good, got it? So now
- 20:52Speaker 1: I might be y'all might be ill, might y'all might
- 20:53Speaker 1: be all round a couple of years. What what made
- 20:56Speaker 1: him keep the coach so damn long? I don't know
- 20:59Speaker 1: what he got on that? Yeah, yeah, pitches on owner.
- 21:11Speaker 1: He got someone that him something else, somebody in a
- 21:15Speaker 1: hat with a monkey. But Tom, Tom, what did you say?
- 21:24Speaker 1: What you know when you said to yourself? Yeah, yeah,
- 21:31Speaker 1: it's pretty bad, yeah himself, Yeah, we absolutely will be
- 21:36Speaker 1: out of work. Coming up next, Reverend Motown, Deacon death
- 21:43Speaker 1: jam are here where church complaints going up? Right after this,
- 21:47Speaker 1: you're listening to stew coming up at the top of
- 21:52Speaker 1: the hour and entertainment news. The musical celebration for Quincy
- 21:56Speaker 1: Jones was last night. Keith Sweat, Teddy Riley and more
- 22:00Speaker 1: of the New Jack swing music era got keys to
- 22:03Speaker 1: the City of Harlem. We'll talk about it at the
- 22:05Speaker 1: top of the hour, but right now, it's Monday, and
- 22:08Speaker 1: you know what goes down on Monday. It's time for
- 22:10Speaker 1: Reverend Motown and Deacon Deaf jam with church complaints. Yea,
- 22:16Speaker 1: who three two one that count that we are here.
- 22:28Speaker 1: You know, I decided and I would be more profession
- 22:32Speaker 1: now and do it be counted in like they do
- 22:36Speaker 1: Steve on the TV show. You know they count here
- 22:41Speaker 1: me in. Yeah, they count time me into. I've seen
- 22:44Speaker 1: so I decided that I'm gonna get counted in now. Yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 1: I need somebody to count me in too. No, you are,
- 22:51Speaker 1: I bring you in, see right out, and I do
- 22:56Speaker 1: this here that that that's your you did. We're not
- 22:59Speaker 1: gonna do a count and then I come into another account.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I was gonna count my steps. No, then you ain't
- 23:05Speaker 1: got to do that because they ain't see that. That
- 23:06Speaker 1: ain't gonna come across good. Okay, Well for six five
- 23:12Speaker 1: fold three two one mm, we are here for church complaint,
- 23:19Speaker 1: that's right. That's right. Let us begin with this nonsense.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Deacon death jail, all right, past it, let's get started here.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I the prison ministry casino night went bad this past Saturday.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Who people got shanked? And now four people with their
- 23:39Speaker 1: arms broke. I'll owe was some play money pass that
- 23:42Speaker 1: was down in the basement. You're gonna have to talk
- 23:45Speaker 1: to the prison minister. They seem to get out of
- 23:47Speaker 1: hand when they're throwing something. See what y'all feelings realizes
- 23:52Speaker 1: you You can't have these former inmates that's just getting
- 23:56Speaker 1: out and charging him because they're bringing their mentality over

- 46:46Speaker 1: it's been brought to my attention that there's a possibility
- 46:49Speaker 1: that you may be part of this situation. And I
- 46:57Speaker 1: don't steal. You don't call my house. Using me is stealing.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I stole nothing from nobody. Okay, well, my hangar man,
- 47:04Speaker 1: what I'm trying to do is just trying to you,
- 47:08Speaker 1: trying to say out and stole something and I stole them. Okay,
- 47:11Speaker 1: wait just a second. Now, do you have a sister
- 47:14Speaker 1: named Cynthia? Yeah, what about it? Well, now it seems
- 47:18Speaker 1: that here on some of the footage that we have
- 47:21Speaker 1: on camera that it's a possibility that it seems like
- 47:24Speaker 1: your sister's actually wearing some of the merchandise that we
- 47:28Speaker 1: sell here in the store. Okay, just because she wears
- 47:31Speaker 1: something that we sell in the store, don't mean that
- 47:34Speaker 1: I stole it. Well, we don't see where she's act.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I backed the footage up as far as I could.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I don't see any footage of where she purchased this
- 47:43Speaker 1: particular merchandise. And my assumption is maybe you gave it
- 47:47Speaker 1: to her. I gave her And just because you don't
- 47:51Speaker 1: see what somebody purchased it, don't mean that it's been stolen. Okay,
- 47:55Speaker 1: here's what I'm gonna I'm gonna just get to the
- 47:57Speaker 1: chase of this. Tell you what I'm gonna have to do.
- 47:59Speaker 1: Is this if I can't get you to come to
- 48:02Speaker 1: the store man. And matter of fact, here's another question
- 48:05Speaker 1: for you before I go any further. You have children
- 48:07Speaker 1: at all, Tanya? Yeah? I got children, wife, because I'm
- 48:11Speaker 1: missing a lot of baby merchandise as well. And you
- 48:15Speaker 1: know what, you know what you're really cruising for this morning? Okay,
- 48:20Speaker 1: because you don't call somebody on the off day accusing
- 48:24Speaker 1: them of stealing. Okay, here's what I gotta do. Are
- 48:27Speaker 1: you coming into the office so I can talk with you.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I'm not coming no where on my off day. Well,
- 48:34Speaker 1: then what's gonna happen, missus Tanya is I'm gonna have
- 48:36Speaker 1: to actually come to your home, check your closet. I'm
- 48:40Speaker 1: gonna have to check your kids and see if they're
- 48:43Speaker 1: check and see if they're wearing merchandise that comes from this.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Come to my house if you want to, and they're
- 48:48Speaker 1: gonna take your somebody here in the body back. Excuse me.
- 48:52Speaker 1: You heard what I said. You heard what I said.
- 48:54Speaker 1: You don't call nobody. I bust my death store. I
- 48:58Speaker 1: bust my to death store. You understand me. I work
- 49:01Speaker 1: hard for y'all. Okay, you you've been busting you. You've
- 49:04Speaker 1: been busting your car here excusing me of stealing. I
- 49:07Speaker 1: ain't so from nobody. I don't have to steal. That's
- 49:10Speaker 1: why I work all that. You understand. I think you've
- 49:13Speaker 1: been busting your butt. Taking stuff is what you've been doing.
- 49:17Speaker 1: You've been from nobody. You understand me. I do not steal.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna come over there. I'm checking your closets things,
- 49:25Speaker 1: but it ain't no season, understand And I'm checking your
- 49:28Speaker 1: babies as well. And I'm making check my babies to
- 49:30Speaker 1: see what happens. You put your heads on any damn
- 49:33Speaker 1: thing in here. And see what happens. Okay, I don't
- 49:36Speaker 1: want to have to drag your butt here. Oh you're
- 49:39Speaker 1: gonna drag somebody? Oh, now you're threatening me. I don't
- 49:42Speaker 1: want to drag of your house security guy. You tough
- 49:45Speaker 1: security guy. You like your job that much you're willing
- 49:47Speaker 1: to die for that? Huh? Who said anything about me? Dic?
- 49:51Speaker 1: I did come over here, and that's what's gonna happen.
- 49:54Speaker 1: That's what happens when you put people on the off days,
- 49:56Speaker 1: you get hurt. Okay, I get a couple of damn
- 49:59Speaker 1: days and y'all gonna call me with this? So are
- 50:02Speaker 1: you threatening me? Now? I'm threatening you? Then you just
- 50:06Speaker 1: called that you was coming over here. Yes, I did
- 50:09Speaker 1: bring you. I'm don't bring your security. I'm all don't
- 50:14Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Okay, I get you. I
- 50:17Speaker 1: can have you brought up on charges. You know that.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Bring me up on charges and see what happens. You
- 50:23Speaker 1: see if you get that first. I'm on my way
- 50:26Speaker 1: over there now to check you and your kids. You understand, man,
- 50:28Speaker 1: I'm over here to check me and my kids and
- 50:31Speaker 1: see how they checked. Y'all some out of here. Let
- 50:34Speaker 1: me tell you something. Now, you got to tell me.
- 50:37Speaker 1: You ain't got nothing to tell me, You ain't got something.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Why don't you go ahead and tell me what you took?
- 50:42Speaker 1: Maybe I'll go light on you. I'll go like, think
- 50:45Speaker 1: I'm stupid or something. You don't sound like a damn food.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Why don't you tell me what you took? I took?
- 50:51Speaker 1: I bet you teaching your little kids over there how
- 50:53Speaker 1: to steal too. Aren't you what what you teaching kids? Hey? Hey, hey, hey,
- 50:58Speaker 1: now you hey, hey, hey hey hey hey, don't call
- 51:03Speaker 1: me with this on my stake. Let me tell you
- 51:06Speaker 1: one mother, Are you listening to me? I got one

- 51:46Speaker 1: You can't nobody get me that on crazy stuff that

- 54:43Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for year. Hibberty is
- 54:46Speaker 1: the strawberry letter. We can be reading yours, just like
- 54:48Speaker 1: we're reading this one subject. You can't hide a beautiful body.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a thirty year old single
- 54:56Speaker 1: woman without any children, and I've been dating a forty
- 55:00Speaker 1: one year old man that has three young daughters. We've
- 55:03Speaker 1: been together for five months, and all of a sudden,
- 55:07Speaker 1: he does not approve of how I dress. He told
- 55:10Speaker 1: me that I dress as if I want attention from
- 55:13Speaker 1: other men, and not like a wholesome woman. I am
- 55:16Speaker 1: a full time legal assistant at a popular law firm,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and I take law classes at night. At work, I'm
- 55:24Speaker 1: in heels and pencil skirts, and on the weekend, I
- 55:27Speaker 1: dress for whatever the occasion is, and it's my own
- 55:31Speaker 1: personal style. I have a beautiful curvy body, and at
- 55:35Speaker 1: my age, I don't see the problem with me wearing
- 55:38Speaker 1: a top that shows a little stomach or a dress
- 55:41Speaker 1: that shows off my curves. He didn't have a problem
- 55:44Speaker 1: with how I dress when he met me, but now
- 55:47Speaker 1: he has been talking about it NonStop. I recently met
- 55:50Speaker 1: his daughters and I was dressed appropriately in jeans and
- 55:54Speaker 1: a sweatshirt. He still said that I need to do
- 55:56Speaker 1: a better I need to do better at sending myself
- 56:00Speaker 1: in a more wholesome manner when he met. When he
- 56:04Speaker 1: and I met, it was not wholesome. So why does
- 56:06Speaker 1: he want me to seem wholesome now? I never intended
- 56:10Speaker 1: to be a role model for his children. He says
- 56:13Speaker 1: he wants me to be more like his friend's wife.
- 56:15Speaker 1: And that's all fine and good if I were an older,
- 56:18Speaker 1: stay at home mom, but I'm not. Why is he
- 56:21Speaker 1: bringing this up now and trying to change me. I'm
- 56:24Speaker 1: at the point where I want to settle down and
- 56:27Speaker 1: he could be the one, but obviously I'm not the
- 56:29Speaker 1: woman he really wants. Could this be a deal breaker?
- 56:32Speaker 1: Please advise? Well, you know what, It depends on how
- 56:35Speaker 1: you look at it. It could be a deal breaker
- 56:37Speaker 1: if he's like this controlling dude you know that wants
- 56:40Speaker 1: to tell you how to dress and you know, compare
- 56:43Speaker 1: you to other women like he's doing in this letter
- 56:46Speaker 1: all of that. It could be that, or it could
- 56:49Speaker 1: be he's considering you for a little more serious role
- 56:54Speaker 1: in his life. Because I don't understand why he would
- 56:58Speaker 1: even be concerned about how you're dressing if you're not
- 57:01Speaker 1: dressing like, you know, a stripper or something in front
- 57:04Speaker 1: of his friends and daughters. Dressing for him in private
- 57:07Speaker 1: is one thing, but there is something to be said
- 57:09Speaker 1: about appropriate dress in front of others, especially young impressionable girls.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I'll give him that. Although you said you were dressed
- 57:15Speaker 1: properly when you met his daughters in jeans and a sweatshirt,
- 57:18Speaker 1: you didn't say that your tummy was out. You didn't
- 57:21Speaker 1: say any of that. I mean, this guy does sound controlling,
- 57:23Speaker 1: He does sound bossy after only five months in. And
- 57:27Speaker 1: remember what he's doing now, how he's talking to you now,
- 57:30Speaker 1: you guys haven't even made the six month mark. That's
- 57:33Speaker 1: how it's going to be in a relationship and into
- 57:36Speaker 1: a marriage. So you're gonna have to decide if that's
- 57:38Speaker 1: what you want. I mean, you have your own personal style,
- 57:41Speaker 1: and you said you don't see anything wrong. I mean
- 57:43Speaker 1: that's what's fashionable. Crop tops are fashionable, you know, as
- 57:48Speaker 1: long as you're rearly had on one in the order
- 57:50Speaker 1: in the dr at all at all. I mean, you
- 58:00Speaker 1: could do things tastefully. But we were at the beach.
- 58:03Speaker 1: Can we just say that Steve, we were we were
- 58:05Speaker 1: it was a swim party and everything. We weren't that
- 58:07Speaker 1: no beach. We was on the inside in the auditorium,
- 58:11Speaker 1: but we saw you. I don't know where you came
- 58:13Speaker 1: from from the beach. Look't on that anyway, back to
- 58:21Speaker 1: the letter, you can't hide a beautiful body as a subject.
- 58:25Speaker 1: So you know, even though you never intended to be
- 58:29Speaker 1: a role model for his children, sometimes we're thrust in
- 58:31Speaker 1: those positions. You know, you're dating this guy and he
- 58:34Speaker 1: does have daughters, so you have to consider that when
- 58:36Speaker 1: you are around them, you're you're You're not there um
- 58:39Speaker 1: their mom or anything, but they are. If you're around
- 58:42Speaker 1: their dad, they are looking to you for certain things.
- 58:44Speaker 1: So you know, I'm not telling you to cover up
- 58:47Speaker 1: and dress like a nun from headge tour or anything
- 58:49Speaker 1: like that, but be mindful, especially around the daughters, of
- 58:54Speaker 1: how you're presenting yourself. Uh, you know, just do that
- 58:58Speaker 1: for their sake. Okay, come out of yourself for a
- 59:00Speaker 1: little bit and just do that for their sake. As
- 59:02Speaker 1: far as you and this guy goes, time will only tell.
- 59:05Speaker 1: If he continues to be controlling. He sounds like a
- 59:08Speaker 1: nagger and all that already, But you gotta decide if
- 59:11Speaker 1: you want to deal with that, because it's not gonna
- 59:13Speaker 1: get any better. And yeah, when you're fine and beautiful,
- 59:16Speaker 1: you can't hide it, you cannot steve let it out. Well,
- 59:21Speaker 1: this is a real simple fix right here. Appreciate everything
- 59:25Speaker 1: you said, Sherley. Here's the other side of the coin.
- 59:28Speaker 1: See the way you dress, that's how you got him.
- 59:32Speaker 1: The way you look, that's how you got him. See
- 59:35Speaker 1: he liked all that when he saw you. That's what
- 59:38Speaker 1: got his attention. You had what he wanted. That's why
- 59:44Speaker 1: y'all together. Now, the little pencil skirts, the tight fit,
- 59:49Speaker 1: the crop tops to cleave it showing, the rep skirts,
- 59:53Speaker 1: the fitted sweater, y'all go out on weekend, you dress
- 59:57Speaker 1: how you want. Bam, that's got it. But now he
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: want to change. Well, see the problem he got now
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: is he probably need a nun. He needed to date
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: somebody that's a little bit different than you. And I'm
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: gonna tell you why. Here's I'm first I'm gonna get
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: into this right here. You thirty and he forty one.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: That's eleven years. That's a gap. That's a gap, and
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: it's a real gap when it's more than an eleven
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: year distance. Eleven year difference. It's probably more because he's
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: probably an older forty one, if you know what I mean,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: he probably an old, stuck up forty one. Then you
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: might just be a little bit younger thirty. But you're
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: a lawyer, you work at a law firm, you got
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: a career. You gotta go to work appropriate. You can't
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: go in there looking like anything like like like like
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you know, you can't go to work looking like you
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: a case. So I think you and you're okay right there.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: I think what's really happening here is this eleven year
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: age difference is bigger than eleven years because in his
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: mind he wants something else. He wants something else from
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: you now, and now he trying to shape you like
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: that because he turned around and said it. He wants
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: you to dress like his friend's wife. And you said
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: that be fine if he was a forty some years
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: stay at home mom. But you ain't got no kids.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I don't I don't know who he rot, but you
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: all have to decide it's what you want from him
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: worth giving him what he wants from you. All Right,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: We'll come back with part two of your response at
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Right after this you're listening,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Let's recap today's strawberry letters, Steve. Let's get to part
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: two of your response, subject you can't hide a beautiful body. Well,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: this thirty year old lady married his old ass for
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the one year old man with these three damned daughters
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that she ain't got no kids. They've been together five
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: months and he don't approve now how she dressed. You know,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: he says you dressed like he want attention from other men.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: See that's crazy, because see you dressed got attention from him.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Now that he got you, he don't want nobody else
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: paying attention to you. This is the beginning of something greater. Now,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I really do believe that this dressing is the beginning
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: of something greater. And like Shirley said, he could be
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: very controlling. Next thing, you know, you can't where it is.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Next thing, you know why you're going over there? Next
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and you know why you spending that. Next thing, you know,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I don't want you driving that car no more. Next thing,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you know you ain't gonna hand no friends. I don't
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: see a problem with me. Man or top to show
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: a little stomach or a dress that shows off my courage.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: He didn't have a problem with you dress how he
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: met me. You don't don't write it didn't. But now
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: I've been talking about a non stop that's called some
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: of his damn friends is looking at you. See now
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: he's starting to notice some of the other men looking
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: at you. Now he's feeling sort of inadequate. You know,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I don't want you to do this. I don't want
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: you to He feeling some little little bit of insecurity too.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I think I recently met his daughters and I was
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: dressed appropriately in jeans and a sweatshirt. He still said,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I need to do a better presenting myself in a
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: more wholesome matter, with the hell and wholesome. That's what
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I'm saying, covered up from head to tell. So why
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: you want me to seem wholesome? Now? I never tend
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to be a role model for his children. Okay, Now
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: let me explain something. You can't say that. I can't
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: say that to him, man, I ain't trying to be
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: no damn robot for your damn kids. I can't say that.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I don't say that, lady. He ain't gonna handle it good,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: all right? He says that he wants me to be
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: more like his friend's wife, and that's all finally good. Well,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: he should marry his friends. He should just go dates
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: one of his one have have. His friend's wife introduced
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: him to some of her friends. They all three kids
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: at home. Yeah, drive a minute, van, it all, it's
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: all good. Ain't nothing wrong with that. But you're gonna
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: get out this little fan sass call you guy. You're
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: gonna get yourself a minute van, get down here to
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: this damn save a lot and get you some damn groceries. Wow,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that's what you're gonna do. Why is he bringing us
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: up now and trying to change me. I'm at the
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: point why I want to settle down. And he could
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: be the one, but obviously I'm not the woman he
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: really wants. Well, now, hold on, let's just take these
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: last two statements. I'm at the point where I'm ready
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to settle down and he could be the one, could
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: be the one, and but obviously I'm not the woman
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: he really wants. Okay, he could be the one, but
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: obviously I'm not the woman he really wants. Could this
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: be a deal breaker? It could be a deal break.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I think what you should do, though, is wait a
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: little while and just see how it goes. You know,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: don't make a commitment. Just stay in this relationship and
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: see how I go, see how heavy he gets with
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: what he wants. You know, you know, some of the
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: little changes you can make in your dress might be
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: good for you, but then some of it might not
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: be what you want to do. You can't just totally
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: flip the script for this man and he flipping the
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: script for you. I will flip the script for a
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: woman if she flipped the script for me. This as
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: long as I get flipped, that's got to give flippant
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: a woman flipping. That's what j J J. The woman
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: he used to date big slid. It ain't gonna go
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: like you playing whistle no no, no, no no j.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: That's how he liked it. You ain't been flipped for no.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I don't either. I can't how come out facing the
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: head boy, that's not a good feeling. I don't know
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: what you're doing. You flip me coming out when it
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: is going WHOA what we're doing here? Calling? Calling sexual
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: time out? It's too hard. Can't flip me because usually
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: when you get flipped, it's followed by shut up. But yeah,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you mean about to say, soon as you get flipped,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: your respect is taken. No, man, you're not gonna talk
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: to me like that. No, no, no, no no. If
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: you keep getting flipped, it follows up with a slap.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Oh man, this is this is scary. Listen. Yeah, you
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: know now that you look at it, Tommy, as I
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: was doing light flipping, this is aggressive flipping. Also, once
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: you get flipped, Once you get flipped, you get this baby,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: fix me my play, fix your damn I don't place,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I can't get the sandwich, I can't get the same.
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: So you're going to lead the covers off me like that?
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: This right? Yeah? Yeah, you don't want to get flip. Yeah,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: take your flip back, Tommy, m Yeah. Yeah. But Steve,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: it seems like he's getting progressively worse though they've only
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: been together for five months, and he keeps bugging her
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: and nagging her about this. I mean, you know it's
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: the beginning of something. Yeah, yeah, and it's happening now.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Controlling is not fun and this is five just five months.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: If yeah, they're in a full fledged relationship, and this
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: is how he is. If he's controlling and you have
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: nothing to say, it's just gonna just remember this old
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: saying right here, ain't no fun when the rabbit got
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: to go. All right, look, we gotta go email us

- 1:11:53Speaker 1: on the hood of your car, and just watch people
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: steal it. It is so much I like that love

- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Congratulations are in order for former President Barack Obama. Of course,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: he was the forty fourth commander in chief. He tapped
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: the list of the most beloved celebrities among millennials. His
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: wife's Michelle Obama, was a close second, with Dwayne the
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Rock Johnson rounding out the top three. Yeah wow. Others
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: include he's on the list. Uh, well, he's favorite among men.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I'll say that amongst me. Yeah, okay. Others include Rihanna, Beyoncee,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Ron James, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Bill Gate, Thorna Williams,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: Steph Curry. And to answer your question, Steve Donald Trump
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: is on the list for a millennial's favorite, just among
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: men though the women, No, but the men yet? What? Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: But you know, I think it speaks a lot, man,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: when you're talking about what people they liked the fact
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: that he then had playboy bunnies and and pawn stars
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: and so they hate them off and rolling with them. Man,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: there's people that like that, man, But the morality of
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: the presidency is really no place for that. No. I
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: was thinking the other day, man, you know, the support
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: that the Republicans are given this guy, it's so unfounded.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: My question to the Republican Party, if this was a
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Democratic president that was doing all of this, would you
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: support that? If Obama just Obama? Would you support that?
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: If he was a Democratic president? What would what would
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: you be saying about it then? And I promise you
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: would be totally different. This is just about party, man,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: This is party at your people, at every angle because
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: it's no way. I don't care who you are. Man.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: You got to know this, sun, you got to know that. Man,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: this ain't right. And then that tweet over the weekend, Uh,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: that proves it. You know, I'm clear. Thank you findings
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: now that they didn't got man dog day tying this something. Man.
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: But you know you can't indict a sitting president. But
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: they're even talking about changing. Man. But you know the
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: other day, that's what I was saying. You can indicting,

- 1:27:13Speaker 1: I mean, and if I was a president, you ain't

- 1:27:52Speaker 1: It's it's it's people that think that I'm like support
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: him that they don't even understand that, they don't even understand.
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: But it is what it is. You just gotta keep living. Yeah, well,
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: the most important thing is that you voted. That's what

- 1:30:16Speaker 1: and his contributions to music, film, and television, his work
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: as a humanitarian, as success as a Grammy Award winning singer,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: composer and producer, plus highlighting his relationship with Michael Jackson.
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: And you know that was a bond right there. I
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: mean the hits that they made together. Oh lord, hit
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: after hit after hit and Steve you know Quincy And
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: of course you knew Michael Jackson, right, Yeah. I knew
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: of Coursey pretty good. I've been in this house a
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: couple of times. Great brother, man, I love to do. Yeah,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. He deserves everything he gets. Man,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: He's so powerful in the music business. Change. He changed music,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: he really did. Yeah, such a great producer. But he
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: knew music. Oh yeah, yeah, he knew music ends, and
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: he knew bands. He wasn't just dropping beats and sampling stuff.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: He was writing music. You're right, that's what he was
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: writing music, right, imposing right, No, whole another level. Yeah,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: that artist today and even now I wouldn't know nothing
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: about I remember We are the World back in that
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, with Michael Jackson, like to put all
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: those stars in one room and get something like that.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: That song was incredible, all those the first time you
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: saw it, you had chills. Yeah to Bob Dylans. Yeah,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: for his fans, you feel mad about that that was
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: in the eighties, right eighty five or something? You do
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: nothing well another entertainment. Uh, all right, to hang tight,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: everybody coming back with our last break of the day
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: and Steve's closing remarks right after this at forty nine
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: after the hour. You're listening, all right, here we are Steve, guys,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: last break of the day. Steve send us home with
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: some great closing remarks for today, had a good day
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: to day. Hey, my closing remarks today is something that
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: I want to share with you all that I've been
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: kind of are dealing with a lot lately, and I
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: mean a lot. And the only reason I'm sharing it
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: with you because I think there's quite a few people
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: who can relate to this. The thing that I'm trying
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: to correct in my thinking. Uh, you know, the Bible
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: says be anxious for nothing, and there's I'm pretty sure
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: that are people who could explain this a lot better
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: than me. But being anxious for nothing means, you know,
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: in other words, don't worry so much about what's going
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: to happen, don't don't want something so badly that it
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: consumes you. Don't keep wearing about something that you want
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: to see happen that you're expecting to receive, that you
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: want to be gifted, that you want to acquire, whatever
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: it is, be anxious for nothing. Now that's hard to do.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: It really is because naturally, as people, including myself me personally,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: I have a tendency to focus on the things that
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I want. Here's the problem with it, Here's a twofold
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: problem with it. When you focus on what you want,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: Number one, focusing on it, it shows a lack of faith.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: Because everything you've ever needed, I mean, really, just ask yourself,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: hasn't God always done it? I mean, what you need it.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: You may not get everything you want. Everything you want
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: ain't good for y'all. Can tell you that right now,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: I wanted a whole lot of stuff turned out not
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: to be good for me. But everything you've needed God
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: has taken care of. So being anxious for his will
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: to be done I mean, I mean being anxious for
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: Him to do something in your life, which is something
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: He's always done. It just it just exhibits a lack
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: of faith when you become anxious for stuff. The second
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: part of it is is it causes you to lose
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: focus on what you already have and once you lose
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: focus for what you already have. You are no longer
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: showing the level of gratitude that you need to exhibit
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: in order to move your life forward to the next level.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: That's a dangerous trap, and I find myself in it oftentimes,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: and I'm just gonna be I'm just gonna be honest
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: with you. So what I'm trying to learn and teach
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: myself and become comfortable with it's how not to be
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: anxious for nothing, realizing that God has always taken care
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: of me. God has always taken care of you. God
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: has never been late in this world. He ain't ever
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: been late, not now single time. He always comes through
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: with everything you need. He may not come when you
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: want him, but he ain't never laid. So I have
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: to get comfortable in knowing that He has always come
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: through for me. He has always delivered for me. So
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: why am I being anxious? And in my anxiousness for
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: what I don't have, I now cause myself to lose
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: sight and show the proper amount of gratitude for what
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: I do have. And gratitude is one of the major
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: components of the principles of success, because the more you
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: are grateful for the more God will give you to
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: be grateful for. You See, so sometimes I trick myself
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: out of blessings by overthinking it, over wanting it. I mean,
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: I'm not saying you're not supposed to want anything anymore.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: You will, but don't be anxious for it. Don't be
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: sitting up fretting about it. He gonna do what he's
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: supposed to do. And then, in another word, God don't
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: really need your help to accomplish nothing. He really don't.
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: He can get all this done without you. Get out
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: of the way. So you know, though, that's something right there.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: It's been one of the man Ain't focuses. And when
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: I get it right, When I when I'm not anxious
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: for nothing and I do show the right amount of
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: gratitude for what I've already been given, it releases pressure
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: from me. You know, you've heard old people say, if
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: you're gonna pray about it, don't worry about it, and
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: if you're gonna worry about it, don't pray about it.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: And you know, sometimes in my anxiousness, I'm praying for
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: stuff over and over and over. But you know, if
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: you're gonna pray about it, you got you got you
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: gotta not worry about it. But if you're anxious for something,
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: you're worrying about it, you're just worrying about it. And
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: that right there is not the way that is done.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: It's just not the way it's done. And I've been
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: learning over the past month or so really how to
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: focus on that a lot better. And that may be
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: something that you might be looking at two or going
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: through And I just wanted to share that with you
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: because because you know, it could be something that you
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: might be dealing with two And I'm just sharing with
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: you that you ain't the only one going through it.
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: You ain't the only one feeling some kind of way
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: about it. That in actuality, a lot of people might
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: be doing it, and we're doing it injustice to ourselves.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: So be anxious for nothing, trusting the fact that God
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: has always taken to every way better than you've taken. Community.
