- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is verdict with Senator Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with
- 0:04Speaker 2: your Senator. We had planned on doing a deep dive today,
- 0:07Speaker 2: and we'd promised many people on Monday's pod that we
- 0:10Speaker 2: were going to get into some of the Biden crime
- 0:11Speaker 2: family subpoena isn't what had happened. We are going to
- 0:15Speaker 2: push that to Friday, purposely because we're expecting some new
- 0:19Speaker 2: breaking news on that, and also in light of what
- 0:21Speaker 2: has happened in the Senate today, I want to talk
- 0:25Speaker 2: about this vote that happened where every single Senate Democrat
- 0:31Speaker 2: just voted to block aid to Israel on a day
- 0:36Speaker 2: when two hundred thousand plus came to the steps of
- 0:40Speaker 2: the capital to support Israel. This was shocking that every
- 0:44Speaker 2: one of them said no.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Well, that's exactly right. Today was a momentace day. And look,
- 0:50Speaker 3: I spent this afternoon down at the mall with the
- 0:55Speaker 3: March for Israel, and we had hundreds of thousands of
- 0:59Speaker 3: people from all over America descend on Washington and stand
- 1:03Speaker 3: together for Israel, and it was inspirational. I spent a
- 1:05Speaker 3: lot of time down there just hugging people and encouraging
- 1:09Speaker 3: them and taking pictures and saying thank you and the
- 1:13Speaker 3: spirit of unity. I mean, we've seen over the last month,
- 1:17Speaker 3: the nastiness we've seen, the vicious anti Semitism, we've seen,
- 1:21Speaker 3: the hatred for Israel we've seen has been really horrifying.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And the March for Israel was spectacular to be a
- 1:29Speaker 3: part of. And then after that I came back to
- 1:32Speaker 3: Capitol Hill and a group of us, a group of
- 1:36Speaker 3: Senators decided, Okay, enough is enough. We are going to
- 1:41Speaker 3: force a vote on military aid to Israel right now.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So as you know what happened, the House of Representatives
- 1:50Speaker 3: took up and passed a clean Israel aid bill, fourteen
- 1:56Speaker 3: billion dollars in emergency military aid for Israel. The Biden
- 2:01Speaker 3: White House wants to tie that military aid to Ukraine
- 2:06Speaker 3: and also more broadly to their efforts to increase illegal immigration.
- 2:12Speaker 3: They call it, in a very Orwellian term, border security funding,
- 2:16Speaker 3: but it's designed not to secure the border at all.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Instead to increase illegal immigration, to accelerate the time for processing,
- 2:24Speaker 3: to spend more money to putting illegal immigrants on trains
- 2:28Speaker 3: and planes and buses to send them to every city
- 2:32Speaker 3: in America. And so the Biden White House is cynically
- 2:37Speaker 3: trying to tie is real. Aid to all of that,
- 2:39Speaker 3: the House of Representatives did the right thing, something we've
- 2:42Speaker 3: called for on this podcast. Break Israel funding off and
- 2:46Speaker 3: vote for it free and clear. Now, when the House
- 2:49Speaker 3: did that, they decided to be fiscally responsible. They decided
- 2:52Speaker 3: to pay for it. I think that's the right thing
- 2:54Speaker 3: to do. And so the way they paid for the
- 2:57Speaker 3: fourteen billion dollars is rescinding funding that the Democrats had
- 3:02Speaker 3: previously passed into law to hire eighty seven thousand new
- 3:06Speaker 3: IRS agents designed to harass small businesses, harassed middle class families,
- 3:12Speaker 3: to be used as an army to go after the
- 3:15Speaker 3: enemies of this administration.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So now you you mentioned the vote and the numbers here,
- 3:23Speaker 2: there's some people that are going to be looking at
- 3:24Speaker 2: these numbers. It's very very tight this vote. It was
- 3:27Speaker 2: obviously a party line vote. How on earth is it
- 3:30Speaker 2: that not a single Democrat would come over and stand
- 3:33Speaker 2: with Israel on this or was this just a hey,
- 3:35Speaker 2: we as a democratic party, we always vote together even
- 3:38Speaker 2: if it screws Israel. I mean, this is one of
- 3:41Speaker 2: the most tone, tone death votes I've ever witnessed. While
- 3:45Speaker 2: there's literally two hundred thousand plus people on the mall
- 3:48Speaker 2: standing with Israel in a nonpartisan way.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Look, this vote was a demonstration of what I describe
- 3:55Speaker 3: at great length in my brand new book Unwoke, How
- 3:58Speaker 3: to Defeat Cultural Marxism in America. By the way, if
- 4:00Speaker 3: you haven't bought it, gone to Amazon right now and
- 4:03Speaker 3: buy the book. Because this vote today was a manifestation
- 4:06Speaker 3: of that today's democrats they don't give a damn about substance.
- 4:10Speaker 3: They care about power, and because the corrupt corporate media
- 4:16Speaker 3: will not report on what they say, they are not
- 4:18Speaker 3: accountable for what they do. So here's what happens. This
- 4:21Speaker 3: is one of the moments where this podcast is unusual
- 4:25Speaker 3: because I want to bring you inside the procedural maneuvering
- 4:28Speaker 3: in the Senate in a way that frankly, there's no
- 4:31Speaker 3: other news source that provides that. So I came back
- 4:34Speaker 3: from the march for Israel about four pm on the
- 4:38Speaker 3: Capitol and I got a text as I was driving
- 4:40Speaker 3: back to the Capital from Roger Marshall, Roger Marshall, Republican
- 4:44Speaker 3: from Kansas. Good friend. He said, a bunch of us
- 4:46Speaker 3: are meeting to try to force a vote on Israel
- 4:49Speaker 3: funding right now. So I deviated. I was going to
- 4:52Speaker 3: go to my office. I deviated to go to the
- 4:54Speaker 3: Senate floor. I was there with other Conservatives, people like
- 4:57Speaker 3: Mike Lee, who is my closest friend in the Senate,
- 5:00Speaker 3: a number of others, and we were strategizing about how
- 5:02Speaker 3: we can force a vote, and in particular, there's a
- 5:05Speaker 3: procedural method called filing a rogue cloture petition, And what
- 5:11Speaker 3: that means is any sixteen senators can file a cloture petition,
- 5:18Speaker 3: which is a petition to force a vote on something,
- 5:21Speaker 3: and can basically hijack the Senate floor from the Senate
- 5:25Speaker 3: majority leader. And it is a procedural mechanism that is
- 5:29Speaker 3: very very rarely used because both Schumer and McConnell hate it.
- 5:36Speaker 3: So McConnell had repeatedly urged us do not use this
- 5:39Speaker 3: mechanism because the majority leader should be able to control
- 5:43Speaker 3: the entire agenda and it's a mistake to let the
- 5:46Speaker 3: minority hijack the agenda. Well, look, I understand that procedural point.
- 5:50Speaker 3: It's not crazy as a day to day operation of
- 5:52Speaker 3: the Senate. But here the House had passed emergency military
- 5:59Speaker 3: aid for Israel, and Chuck Schumer had announced we will
- 6:03Speaker 3: not vote on it. He would block the Senate from
- 6:06Speaker 3: voting on it. It was literally Schumer was single handedly
- 6:09Speaker 3: preventing a vote on emergency military aid for Israel. And
- 6:12Speaker 3: it's because he wants Number one, he's not willing to
- 6:16Speaker 3: give up the funding for the army of eighty seven
- 6:19Speaker 3: thousand new IRS agents. He values harassing the political enemies
- 6:23Speaker 3: of the White House more than military aid for Israel.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And number two, he wants to tie it to all
- 6:29Speaker 3: the political priorities of Democrats and hold that military aid hostage.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Let me ask you this question about this funding, because
- 6:37Speaker 2: this is a fight that we did not see. Everybody
- 6:41Speaker 2: jumped on the S bandwagon when it came to military
- 6:43Speaker 2: aid for Ukraine. Democrats had no problem jumping on that
- 6:48Speaker 2: as well, and you didn't have to figure out a
- 6:51Speaker 2: way to try to bring this vote up. What is
- 6:55Speaker 2: the logic when you're talking to Democrats, your colleagues, and
- 6:58Speaker 2: the Senate. How can they be so he bent and
- 7:01Speaker 2: gung ho on unlimited funding for Ukraine, but no on
- 7:05Speaker 2: something as simple as defending our actual ally Israel.
- 7:09Speaker 3: So Democrats number one, recognize that all the Republicans strongly
- 7:13Speaker 3: support military aid for Israel. So they see that cynically
- 7:17Speaker 3: as a political opportunity. Good, this is something where Republicans want,
- 7:21Speaker 3: Republicans want, let's hold it hostage. But number two, listen,
- 7:24Speaker 3: Democrats are worried about their left flank. They're getting blasted
- 7:28Speaker 3: by the anti Israel, anti Zionist, radical, anti Semitic left
- 7:33Speaker 3: the squad, and so they're all nervous. And so what
- 7:36Speaker 3: ended up happening is why Schumer didn't want to vote.
- 7:38Speaker 3: He didn't want to force Democrats to vote on it,
- 7:41Speaker 3: and he felt like he had exquisite power. Now Schumer
- 7:44Speaker 3: screwed up. The majority leader can prevent what we did today.
- 7:48Speaker 3: The way the majority leader prevents what we did today
- 7:51Speaker 3: is he files a pending motion to proceed to something,
- 7:55Speaker 3: and under the Senate procedural rules, that pending motion to
- 7:58Speaker 3: proceed to some bill blocks another motion to proceed to
- 8:02Speaker 3: a bill. And so that's something when Senate Republicans had
- 8:05Speaker 3: a majority, Mitch McConnell did every day. He did that
- 8:08Speaker 3: to block the Democrats from doing what we did. Well,
- 8:10Speaker 3: Schumer was lazy. He didn't do that, so the floor
- 8:13Speaker 3: was wide open. And so what happened is a group
- 8:16Speaker 3: of us we had eleven Senate Republicans. We met off
- 8:18Speaker 3: the floor of the Senate. You needed eleven to force
- 8:21Speaker 3: a voice vote, and so we gathered there on the
- 8:23Speaker 3: side of the Senate and we're talking about, Okay, we're
- 8:26Speaker 3: going to force this, and we're doing this surreptitiously. This
- 8:29Speaker 3: is like four pm Tuesday afternoon. We then all went
- 8:33Speaker 3: to the Senate cloak room and we were waiting, and
- 8:35Speaker 3: actually John Kennedy was giving an extended speech, and we
- 8:38Speaker 3: wanted Roger Marshall as the one who had the idea
- 8:41Speaker 3: initially to go forward. So Mike Lee and I and
- 8:43Speaker 3: others were backing Roger, and we needed to get the
- 8:46Speaker 3: floor because the Senate Democrats were starting to get wind
- 8:50Speaker 3: of what we were trying to do. And at one point,
- 8:53Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer's lead floor aid on the Senate, his sort
- 8:57Speaker 3: of lead staffer. He came and stock buck his head
- 9:01Speaker 3: in the Republican cloak room and he looks around and
- 9:04Speaker 3: he sees eleven of us sitting there, and he kind
- 9:06Speaker 3: of looks around and he doesn't quite say this out loud,
- 9:09Speaker 3: but everything is in his expression goes, oh shit.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Like he knew this.
- 9:15Speaker 3: He had figured out what we were trying to do.
- 9:17Speaker 3: And so we went Actually, Ran Paula was part of
- 9:20Speaker 3: the group. Rand went down to John Kennedy. He was
- 9:22Speaker 3: giving a speech in another matter, and Ran interrupted him.
- 9:24Speaker 3: He's like, John Kennedy's on c SPAN giving a speech
- 9:27Speaker 3: and Rand said, John, we really need you to stop
- 9:29Speaker 3: right now. It's an emergency. Please stop. And John didn't
- 9:33Speaker 3: even know what we were doing, but he's like, uh, okay,
- 9:35Speaker 3: so he stops. Roger Marshall goes down and he gets recognized.
- 9:39Speaker 3: So getting recognized, once you're recognized, you have the floor,
- 9:42Speaker 3: you have power. And so Roger goes down and he
- 9:45Speaker 3: moves to proceed to the House Bill. So the House
- 9:49Speaker 3: Bill is what they passed. It is fourteen billion dollars
- 9:53Speaker 3: in emergency military funding for Israel, paid for by rescinding
- 9:57Speaker 3: the IRS additional funding for eighty seven thousand agents. Once
- 10:01Speaker 3: he did that, the Democrats are in panic. They're like, oh, crapo, crapple, crapple, crap.
- 10:05Speaker 3: And so Raphael Warnock, the Democrat from Georgia, he was
- 10:08Speaker 3: down there. Now. Procedurally, once Roger moves to proceed to
- 10:13Speaker 3: the bill, he has relinquished the floor. It's a jump
- 10:16Speaker 3: ball at that point because to move to proceed to it,
- 10:20Speaker 3: the presiding officer instructs the clerk to read the title
- 10:23Speaker 3: of the bill, So Roger no longer has the floor.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Can I ask your cynical question real quick?
- 10:28Speaker 4: Yes?
- 10:28Speaker 2: How many senators have no idea how this works? What
- 10:32Speaker 2: you're describing right now? I'm I become about ninety okay,
- 10:35Speaker 2: I was just That's the reason why this story is
- 10:38Speaker 2: amazing to me, because I'm like, I bet you the
- 10:40Speaker 2: majority of the senators that you serve with don't know
- 10:44Speaker 2: this is the rules of the Senate and how this
- 10:46Speaker 2: would work.
- 10:47Speaker 3: No, no, it's only a handful of senators that understand
- 10:49Speaker 3: the rules. So Roger moves. When he makes the motion,
- 10:52Speaker 3: he's relinquished the floor. And so what happened then? As
- 10:56Speaker 3: soon as the clerk has read the title of the bill,
- 10:58Speaker 3: Roger says, mister President, and the presiding officer with Senator
- 11:02Speaker 3: Welch from Vermont he was there. Roger calls out mister President.
- 11:05Speaker 3: But Raphael Warnock, liberal Democrat from Georgia, calls out mister
- 11:08Speaker 3: President as well. Now the presiding officer, when you've got
- 11:10Speaker 3: multiple people asking me recognized, has the option to pick
- 11:14Speaker 3: who to decide, and so, because he's a Democrat, Welch
- 11:17Speaker 3: recognizes Warnock. Warnock stands up and says, I suggest the
- 11:23Speaker 3: absence of a quorum. Now what that means. This is
- 11:26Speaker 3: getting in the weeds. But this is one of the
- 11:28Speaker 3: cool things about this podcast. It takes you inside the Senate.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Under the Senate rules, when any senator suggests the absence
- 11:35Speaker 3: of a quorum, there is a mandatory quorum call. What
- 11:38Speaker 3: it means is there are not enough senators on the
- 11:41Speaker 3: floor right now to conduct business. It is a way
- 11:44Speaker 3: to freeze the Senate, to lock it in paralysis, because
- 11:49Speaker 3: once you're in a quorum call, you can do nothing else.
- 11:54Speaker 3: And so Warnock pushed us into a quorum call. At
- 11:59Speaker 3: that point, we're and there are more than eleven of
- 12:01Speaker 3: us that are there. We proceeded over the next hour periodically,
- 12:05Speaker 3: one after the other. We'd grab the microphone, we'd stand
- 12:07Speaker 3: up and say, mister President, I asked unanimous consent to
- 12:10Speaker 3: vitiate the quorum call. That's a way to say, end
- 12:12Speaker 3: the quorum call, let's vote on the stamp thing and
- 12:15Speaker 3: over and over you we did this like thirty times.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Democrats would object. They'd say object, I object, I object. Now,
- 12:21Speaker 3: you can do that forever. You can keep They could
- 12:24Speaker 3: keep us in a quorum call, but it meant they
- 12:26Speaker 3: were stuck, and so we were brainstorming, Okay, how can
- 12:30Speaker 3: they avoid a vote. We went up to him and said, look,
- 12:32Speaker 3: what we want is a roll call vote where every
- 12:36Speaker 3: senator has to go on record do you support funding
- 12:40Speaker 3: for Israel or do you oppose funding for Israel. After
- 12:43Speaker 3: about two hours, and I cannot overstate ben how upset
- 12:47Speaker 3: Chuck Schumer was, how upset the Democrats were. We blindsided them.
- 12:51Speaker 3: They did not expect this. This hit them out of nowhere,
- 12:55Speaker 3: and then they finally said, screw it, We're going to
- 12:58Speaker 3: force through the vote. So we voted and it was
- 13:01Speaker 3: a straight party line vote. So understand, every single Democrat
- 13:09Speaker 3: voted against emergency military funding for Israel. Chuck Schumer, who
- 13:15Speaker 3: calls him the defender of Israel, that's what he calls himself,
- 13:19Speaker 3: voted against emergency military funding for Israel. John Tester, who's
- 13:25Speaker 3: running for reelection in Montana, voted against emergency funding for Israel.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Shared Brown, who's running for reelection in Ohio, voted against
- 13:33Speaker 3: emergency funding for Israel. Bob Casey, who's running for reelection
- 13:38Speaker 3: in Pennsylvania voted against emergency funding for Israel. Jackie Rosen,
- 13:43Speaker 3: who's running for reelection in Nevada, voted against emergency funding
- 13:48Speaker 3: for Israel. Tammy Baldwin, who's running for reelection in Wisconsin,
- 13:53Speaker 3: voted against emergency funding for Israel. And the amazing thing
- 13:56Speaker 3: has been it was a straight party line vote, which
- 13:58Speaker 3: means every single one of those Democrats I named was
- 14:02Speaker 3: the deciding vote. Literally, if one Democrat had voted with us,
- 14:07Speaker 3: this was a fifty vote threshold, so one Democrat could
- 14:10Speaker 3: have passed this, but every Democrat voted no. And it
- 14:15Speaker 3: was a moment of clarity, And I think a moment
- 14:19Speaker 3: of clarity that will come down to the election next
- 14:21Speaker 3: year where the Democrats have made clear that partisan politics
- 14:26Speaker 3: matters more to them than standing with Israel.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Right now, big headlines have you seen them lately? Third
- 14:31Speaker 2: highest deficit in history, another one digital dollars, sparks uncertainty,
- 14:36Speaker 2: and the one that's got everyone concerned Israel, Declaire's War.
- 14:40Speaker 2: We're living in an unpredictable world right now, but gold
- 14:43Speaker 2: is still gold.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It's weathered many storms.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Gold gives peace of mind, it's tangible, it's real, It
- 14:50Speaker 2: helps me sleep at night as well, because I know
- 14:53Speaker 2: that I have gold and I'm a firm believer in
- 14:56Speaker 2: gold iras. Listen, if you have an Ira or a
- 14:59Speaker 2: four oh one k, it's time that you learn about
- 15:02Speaker 2: the benefits of a gold ira from Augusta Precious Medals.

- 15:11Speaker 2: and top not service. Get a free guide to gold

- 15:23Speaker 2: six eight five ninety two. Again, Text the word Ben
- 15:27Speaker 2: to six eight five nine to two or Augusta Precious
- 15:30Speaker 2: Medals dot com. Sena, you mentioned that any one Democrat
- 15:35Speaker 2: could have moved the pendulum here and funded Israel. And
- 15:39Speaker 2: if you don't have to name names per se, but
- 15:41Speaker 2: are you shocked? I mean, there are some Democrats that
- 15:45Speaker 2: I truly believe are quote friends of Israel. I am
- 15:50Speaker 2: shocked at not one of them did the right thing
- 15:52Speaker 2: here and truly stood with Israel. They just said no
- 15:57Speaker 2: party over even Israel. And and what is referred to
- 16:01Speaker 2: is emergency funding, meaning they need it now.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Look, this was I think a spectacularly foolish vote by Democrats.
- 16:08Speaker 3: I mean you had. Kirsten Cinema was the deciding vote
- 16:11Speaker 3: against emergency aid to Israel. Bob Benendez, who right now
- 16:15Speaker 3: is in the midst of a very serious indictment and
- 16:18Speaker 3: a serious scandal, but he's on the ballot November. He
- 16:21Speaker 3: was the deciding vote against emergency aid to Israel. Dick Blumenthal,
- 16:26Speaker 3: Ben Carden, all sorts of Democrats who hold themselves out
- 16:31Speaker 3: as defenders of Israel. Every one of them, literally one
- 16:34Speaker 3: of them could say, you know what, we need emergency
- 16:37Speaker 3: A to Israel now, and I don't care what my
- 16:39Speaker 3: party leadership says. I'm not going to do it. But
- 16:42Speaker 3: they decided they cracked the whip. And I'll tell you
- 16:45Speaker 3: on the flip side, listen, it was not easy to
- 16:49Speaker 3: hold every Republican. So I was down on the Senate
- 16:51Speaker 3: floor for about two and a half hours this afternoon
- 16:54Speaker 3: and I was whipping Republicans and listen, Republican leadership was pissed.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I cannot over state how angry they were. And the
- 17:02Speaker 3: reason is it is our leadership said, listen, if you
- 17:05Speaker 3: do this when Republicans have the majority, Democrats will use
- 17:10Speaker 3: this tool to try to hijack the floor, and that's
- 17:13Speaker 3: a reasonable procedural point. I get that. It's not crazy.
- 17:17Speaker 3: That being said, I think the crisis in Israel is
- 17:20Speaker 3: so dire, the position of the Democrats is so indefensible
- 17:23Speaker 3: that it made sense to force and so we did it.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But when we're voting on it, there were a number
- 17:29Speaker 3: of Republicans close to leadership who delayed their vote and
- 17:33Speaker 3: delayed their vote and delay their vote, and I was
- 17:35Speaker 3: talking to them personally, and I was saying, please, please
- 17:39Speaker 3: vote to do the right thing, because if we ended
- 17:42Speaker 3: up with a vote where you had all the Democrats
- 17:44Speaker 3: and two or three or five Republicans, it would totally
- 17:48Speaker 3: blur the distinction. They could say there's a bipartisan vote
- 17:51Speaker 3: against this procedural game. That's what the Democrats would say.
- 17:56Speaker 3: And so I was begging Republicans, please, this is something
- 17:59Speaker 3: I get. You don't like the procedural mechanism that we
- 18:02Speaker 3: forced this vote, but we did. Once we did, let's
- 18:06Speaker 3: actually be united and be team players. And miraculously, look
- 18:13Speaker 3: it was close. And I was talking staffers, I was
- 18:15Speaker 3: talking to members, I was lobbying. I was on the
- 18:17Speaker 3: in the well of the Senate working vote by vote
- 18:21Speaker 3: by vote, we got every single Republican one hundred percent.
- 18:25Speaker 3: That was a big deal because it means that each
- 18:28Speaker 3: and every Democrat. There is not a Democrat in the
- 18:30Speaker 3: Senate who was not the deciding vote on this motion.
- 18:34Speaker 3: And that is a big deal for clarity. And I
- 18:37Speaker 3: want to underscore something. Ben you asked a minute ago,
- 18:40Speaker 3: why would Democrats do this? And part of me was
- 18:43Speaker 3: shocked by the way. Joe Manchett is not running free election.
- 18:46Speaker 3: He voted against military funding for Israel. He could have
- 18:49Speaker 3: been the deciding vote, but he figured, I guess, screw it.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I'm leaving the Senate to who cares part of the
- 18:55Speaker 3: reason Democrats do this while we're voting. I looked up
- 18:59Speaker 3: in the Senate. There were four reporters up in the
- 19:02Speaker 3: Senate gallery. We'll see how many headlines are published about
- 19:10Speaker 3: Senate Democrats block military funding for Israel, But my guess
- 19:14Speaker 3: is very, very few. We went out and tried to
- 19:16Speaker 3: talk to reporters. I didn't see the six o'clock news tonight,
- 19:20Speaker 3: so I don't know this for a fact, but I'd
- 19:22Speaker 3: be willing to bet you one hundred dollars right now,
- 19:25Speaker 3: and I'm cheap. I don't bet one hundred dollars on
- 19:27Speaker 3: many things.
- 19:28Speaker 1: That's right.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I bet you one hundred dollars that none of the
- 19:31Speaker 3: major networks covered that Senate Democrats tonight blocked funding for Israel.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And this is why. Look, this is the point in
- 19:38Speaker 3: my book Unwoke, which you ought to go online and
- 19:40Speaker 3: buy right now. This is why I focus so much
- 19:44Speaker 3: on the corrupt corporate media. Because the corrupt corporate media,
- 19:49Speaker 3: they're not covering news. They are partisan advocates. They don't
- 19:54Speaker 3: want aid to Israel to pass. They are cheering for Hamas.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Many of the corrupt corporate media are openly sharing for Hamas.
- 20:02Speaker 3: And so Democrats can cast spectacularly foolish votes and know
- 20:07Speaker 3: their constituents will never know about it. Dick Blumenthal, Democrat
- 20:10Speaker 3: from Connecticut, he holds himself out as one of the
- 20:12Speaker 3: leading defenders of Israel. Well, he is absolutely certain when
- 20:16Speaker 3: he goes to Connecticut, none of his voters will know
- 20:19Speaker 3: that he was the deciding vote that blocked emergency military
- 20:23Speaker 3: aid to Israel. Why because the corrupt corporate media won't
- 20:27Speaker 3: tell them.
- 20:29Speaker 2: You, Senator, have said this several times, and it's a
- 20:32Speaker 2: very accurate statement. You say, if lawyers never ask a
- 20:35Speaker 2: question of somebody if they don't already know the answer.
- 20:38Speaker 2: That rule applies, I think to taking things to the
- 20:41Speaker 2: for the Senate for a vote, right, don't call a
- 20:44Speaker 2: vote if you don't know what the outcome is going
- 20:45Speaker 2: to be. And yet this today seems to be one
- 20:49Speaker 2: of those incredibly authentic moments. Was it inspired because of
- 20:53Speaker 2: the two hundred thousand plus that came to Capitol Hill
- 20:56Speaker 2: to stand with Israel? And that's where this kind of started,
- 20:59Speaker 2: where it's like, you know, we got to do something today,
- 21:02Speaker 2: and let's just see if we can get it done.
- 21:04Speaker 2: And know we haven't called everybody beforehand, and this is
- 21:08Speaker 2: an organic moment in the Senate.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Look for me, it certainly was. I can't speak to
- 21:13Speaker 3: the other Republican senators, but I came literally from the
- 21:16Speaker 3: march on Washington. I was down there hugging and supporting
- 21:19Speaker 3: so many incredible heroes and Jewish Americans who came from
- 21:24Speaker 3: all over the country to come to the mall to
- 21:26Speaker 3: stand in solidarity. And I came back and I heard
- 21:29Speaker 3: several of my colleagues were thinking of this, and I
- 21:31Speaker 3: was like, absolutely, let's go to the floor right now,
- 21:34Speaker 3: Let's do it. And so I leaned in aggressively, and
- 21:37Speaker 3: I got to say it was striking. Number one, the
- 21:40Speaker 3: absolute panic among Senate Democrats was striking, but sadly the
- 21:44Speaker 3: panic among Senate Republican leadership. They didn't like that we
- 21:47Speaker 3: did this either, But I think it provided an absolute
- 21:51Speaker 3: moment of clarity. And let me be clear, what I
- 21:53Speaker 3: hoped would happen is that we would vote to provide
- 21:58Speaker 3: the military ade Israel. By the way, if one Democrat,
- 22:01Speaker 3: if even one, if Bob Casey, if Jackie Rosen, if
- 22:05Speaker 3: John Tester is Sheared Brown, if even one Democrat had
- 22:09Speaker 3: voted with us, this bill would have passed and we
- 22:13Speaker 3: would have sent it to Joe Biden's desk tonight, so
- 22:17Speaker 3: Joe Biden could have signed it this evening and sent
- 22:20Speaker 3: fourteen billion dollars to Israel Tuesday night.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Wow.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I didn't know if that would happen. I actually wasn't
- 22:28Speaker 3: sure they could hold their votes. And part of the
- 22:31Speaker 3: reason they locked up the floor in a quorum call
- 22:34Speaker 3: for a couple hours is I assumed they were whipping
- 22:36Speaker 3: their votes. They called the people that they thought were
- 22:38Speaker 3: wobbly votes. They said, Okay, Schumer wants you to vote
- 22:42Speaker 3: to screw Israel. Are you okay with that? And I
- 22:44Speaker 3: think every Democrat said yep, good bye me, I'm good
- 22:47Speaker 3: by that. And it just I got to say, if
- 22:51Speaker 3: the shoe were on the other foot, if it were
- 22:53Speaker 3: Republican leadership asking Republicans to cast a vote like that,
- 22:57Speaker 3: I wouldn't do it, and a whole bunch of us wouldn't.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yet the Democrats. This is where I cannot overstate the
- 23:04Speaker 3: impact of the corrupt corporate media. Part of the reason
- 23:07Speaker 3: Republicans wouldn't do it is our voters will know if
- 23:10Speaker 3: we cast a terrible vote.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it would literally cost several centaters their job the
- 23:15Speaker 2: next selection.
- 23:17Speaker 3: The Democrats feel utterly and completely immune. They know that
- 23:21Speaker 3: CNN has their back, they know that ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC.
- 23:26Speaker 3: They won't cover it, they won't report on it, they'll
- 23:29Speaker 3: ignore it, they'll bury it. And The New York Times
- 23:32Speaker 3: they're not going to cover it because they don't want
- 23:35Speaker 3: to cover it, because they're more interested in the left
- 23:39Speaker 3: wing partisan agenda than they are and actually covering the news.
- 23:44Speaker 2: If you are sick and tired of woke companies taking
- 23:47Speaker 2: your money because you think you got to work with them,
- 23:50Speaker 2: and you say, well, that's all. I've got a great
- 23:52Speaker 2: example of that is the cell phone industry. You may think, hey,
- 23:55Speaker 2: there's two or three big companies, those are my options.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I can't really dictate to them what they stand for,
- 24:01Speaker 2: what they do. Well, now you have a chance with
- 24:03Speaker 2: a company called Patriot Mobile. You may not realize this,
- 24:07Speaker 2: but Big Mobile actually gives big donations to Democrats and
- 24:10Speaker 2: big donations to plan Parenthood. If you don't want your
- 24:14Speaker 2: money going there, you have an option. That option is
- 24:18Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile. And what they're doing right now to celebrate
- 24:21Speaker 2: their tenth anniversary is incredible. For every person that switches
- 24:25Speaker 2: a Patriot Mobile, they are going to give a donation
- 24:27Speaker 2: to a pro life organization to protect the rights of
- 24:30Speaker 2: unborn children.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Now that's just the start.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Then every month when you pay your bill, at no
- 24:35Speaker 2: extra cost to you, they actually give donations money a
- 24:41Speaker 2: portion of your bill to conservative causes that stand up
- 24:45Speaker 2: and protect and offend our First and our Second Amendment rights,
- 24:48Speaker 2: stand up for the sancty of life, stand up for
- 24:51Speaker 2: our military, our veterans, and our first responders.
- 24:54Speaker 1: They have one hundred percent.
- 24:55Speaker 2: US based customer service team, which makes switching easy. You
- 24:59Speaker 2: can keep your same cell phone number you have now
- 25:01Speaker 2: keep your same phone or upgrade and they will help
- 25:04Speaker 2: you find the best plan for your needs, your family needs,
- 25:07Speaker 2: or your business or small business needs. Call them nine
- 25:11Speaker 2: seven two Patriot that's nine seven two Patriot nine seven
- 25:17Speaker 2: two Patriot or Patriotmobile dot Com that's Patriotmobile dot com.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Use a promo code verdict you will get the best
- 25:25Speaker 2: deals of the year and free activation Patriot Mobile dot
- 25:30Speaker 2: Com slash vertic Senator. I want to move to another issue,
- 25:35Speaker 2: and it deals with Israel, but it's in a different capacity,
- 25:39Speaker 2: and that is the shock of anti Semitism on college campuses.
- 25:44Speaker 2: MIT now is facing backlash for not expelling anti Israel
- 25:50Speaker 2: protesters over their they what they refer to as visa issues.
- 25:55Speaker 2: They said they are originally threatened to expel these pro
- 26:00Speaker 2: Palace and In protesters, and then afterwards they're like, Okay,
- 26:03Speaker 2: we're gonna full, We're gonna come back on this. We're
- 26:06Speaker 2: going to pull back on this, uh and say never mind,
- 26:09Speaker 2: because these people if we if we pull them from school,
- 26:12Speaker 2: it will have visa issues. Regardless of how extreme these
- 26:17Speaker 2: protesters were. This is shocking to see them coming back
- 26:21Speaker 2: from this. Yet that's exactly what now has happened at MIT.
- 26:25Speaker 3: Your reaction, well, listen, what happened at MIT was absolutely disgraceful.
- 26:30Speaker 3: MIT by any measure, is one of the finest educational
- 26:34Speaker 3: institutions on the face of the planet. It may be
- 26:36Speaker 3: the greatest scientific technical university in the world. And what
- 26:43Speaker 3: has happened in the last several days is that numerous
- 26:46Speaker 3: Jewish students were forced to stay home from classes. They
- 26:50Speaker 3: could not attend classes. Why because anti Israel, anti Semitic
- 26:54Speaker 3: protesters threatened them, physically threatened them, and the students said
- 26:58Speaker 3: they felt that they felt safe, that they felt like
- 27:01Speaker 3: going to class would endanger their personal safety. Now that
- 27:06Speaker 3: is insane and any normal university. If one student threatens
- 27:12Speaker 3: another student, threatens their safety and prevents them from going
- 27:15Speaker 3: to class, whoever makes that threat should be expelled. If
- 27:19Speaker 3: you are harassing Jewish students because you're an anti Semite bigot,
- 27:24Speaker 3: you should be expelled. And by the way, to be clear,
- 27:27Speaker 3: if someone was harassing Muslim students and preventing Muslim students
- 27:30Speaker 3: from going to class, they should be expelled. No student
- 27:34Speaker 3: has a right to harass and threaten fellow students. Well,
- 27:37Speaker 3: what happened in MIT is is this harassment occurred, and
- 27:42Speaker 3: Jewish students stayed home, and the university administrators back to
- 27:47Speaker 3: weigh and refuse to take the natural step of expelling them.
- 27:51Speaker 3: Why because these rabbit anti Semitisms were there. Semites were
- 27:56Speaker 3: there on student visas, and if they got expelled, they'd
- 27:59Speaker 3: get sent back comb And the university said, well, okay,
- 28:02Speaker 3: if you were an American, we would punish you. But
- 28:05Speaker 3: because you're not an American, because you're a guest, because
- 28:07Speaker 3: we've welcomed you to our country to get an education,
- 28:10Speaker 3: you can conduct harassment and bigoting, bigoted, racist, threatened threatening
- 28:16Speaker 3: of other students, and we will just turn to blind
- 28:18Speaker 3: eye and give you a pat on the back.
- 28:20Speaker 1: It's CNN.
- 28:20Speaker 2: There truly seems to be a civil war inside of
- 28:23Speaker 2: CNN right now, because if you watch the Morning Show,
- 28:25Speaker 2: it's like all Hamas propaganda and anti Semitism. You watch
- 28:30Speaker 2: their primetime wine up at night, it goes right back
- 28:32Speaker 2: to that. There was a moment and I want to
- 28:36Speaker 2: give credit here to Jake Tapper. Jake Tapper had on
- 28:40Speaker 2: an MIT graduate student and let her tell her story
- 28:44Speaker 2: to the world, and I want you to hear what
- 28:46Speaker 2: she had to say. It was and I'm glad that
- 28:49Speaker 2: he used his program for good. You had the headline
- 28:52Speaker 2: hate in America. MIT students speaks out about anti Semitism
- 28:56Speaker 2: on campus.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Listen to this.
- 28:58Speaker 4: As a Jewish student at MIT, do you feel safe
- 29:01Speaker 4: on campus? You know? Honestly, Jake, in the past few weeks,
- 29:05Speaker 4: I have not felt safe on campus.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Why not?
- 29:08Speaker 4: So? You know, ever since October seventh, we've seen at
- 29:12Speaker 4: universities around the country that you know, the conflict that's
- 29:15Speaker 4: overseas has come to our home term, and we've had
- 29:20Speaker 4: a lot of rallies and events by an organization called
- 29:23Speaker 4: the Coalition Against Apartheid, which is the anti Israel group
- 29:26Speaker 4: on MIT's campus, and they, along with some local anti
- 29:33Speaker 4: Israel groups, have come to campus because MIT is an
- 29:35Speaker 4: open campus, which means that anybody can walk around and
- 29:39Speaker 4: you know, be on campus. So they together have done
- 29:42Speaker 4: protests on campus on the steps of Lobby seven, which
- 29:45Speaker 4: is the main entrance to MIT, and in front of
- 29:47Speaker 4: the Student Center. And I mean, people protest, but but
- 29:52Speaker 4: what do they do? What do they say that makes
- 29:54Speaker 4: you feel unsafe? So I guess part of it is
- 29:59Speaker 4: the fact of what they're saying. So when you're saying
- 30:01Speaker 4: things like globalize the end of Fada, use your two
- 30:04Speaker 4: fists to sacrifice everything for Palestine and one solution and
- 30:08Speaker 4: to fada. You know, we know what happened during the
- 30:11Speaker 4: second end of Fada. It was suicide bombings and attacks
- 30:14Speaker 4: against Israeli civilians in Israel. But the other part of
- 30:17Speaker 4: it is that these people aren't just protesting outside and
- 30:21Speaker 4: exercising the rights for free speech, which I fully support
- 30:23Speaker 4: as an American. It's that they're going you know, they
- 30:25Speaker 4: went to the personal offices of a program that runs
- 30:29Speaker 4: Israel internships on MIT's campus, and they went to the
- 30:32Speaker 4: offices of the people who worked for this program, and
- 30:34Speaker 4: they tried to enter it. They were going from door
- 30:36Speaker 4: to door trying to unlock the doors, and the people
- 30:38Speaker 4: who worked in this office had no idea to what
- 30:41Speaker 4: these students were trying to do by trying to get
- 30:43Speaker 4: into their office. They were yelling, they were accusing them
- 30:45Speaker 4: of apartheid, of ethnic cleansing, of genocide. And it was
- 30:48Speaker 4: a really frightening experience.
- 30:50Speaker 2: A really frightening experience. You hear this student saying this,
- 30:54Speaker 2: and yet this is happening to them. And as you
- 30:57Speaker 2: described a moment ago, they said, if you keep doing this,
- 31:00Speaker 2: we're going to expel you.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Then they said, oh, never mind, just kidding.
- 31:03Speaker 2: You're just going to be in trouble, but you're not
- 31:04Speaker 2: going to get expelled because we don't want you to
- 31:06Speaker 2: lose your visa. That's in my Semitism and accepting this
- 31:09Speaker 2: type of abuse by these individuals.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Well, that's right. And let me quote from Fox News
- 31:16Speaker 3: had an article about this where they quoted conservative lawyer
- 31:19Speaker 3: Maria Maria Medvin and she said, quote, MIT is one
- 31:23Speaker 3: of the most prestigious universities in the US these days.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Foreigners make up about thirty percent of the MIT student body.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Jewish students, on the other hand, make up about six
- 31:36Speaker 3: percent of the MIT student body, a campus minority. So
- 31:40Speaker 3: think about it right now now. I will admit it
- 31:43Speaker 3: is somewhat concerning that thirty percent of the MI two
- 31:45Speaker 3: student body are foreigners. But especially if these are foreigners
- 31:49Speaker 3: that are vicious bigots, that are anti Semites, that are
- 31:52Speaker 3: willing to threaten her, harass and threaten physical violence against
- 31:55Speaker 3: their fellow students, their Jewish students because they hate them
- 31:59Speaker 3: so much. They should be expelled. If you threaten physical
- 32:03Speaker 3: violence against the fellow student, if you block them from
- 32:07Speaker 3: going to class. That should be a no brainer reason
- 32:13Speaker 3: for expulsion, and the administrators, Look, why did the administrators
- 32:17Speaker 3: not expel them? And again this goes back to what
- 32:21Speaker 3: I talk about in my new book Unwoke. This is
- 32:23Speaker 3: cultural Marxism. The administrators, the cultural Marxist side with the
- 32:29Speaker 3: people they have decided are the victims, the Palestinians, over
- 32:32Speaker 3: the people. They have decided that they are the pressers,
- 32:35Speaker 3: the Jews. And so for the radical left, threats of
- 32:40Speaker 3: violence against Jews are okay, it is acceptable. And and
- 32:44Speaker 3: so listen the fact that someone's on a student VI
- 32:47Speaker 3: said they ought to behave better, not worse. It shouldn't
- 32:50Speaker 3: be the case that Americans are held to stricter standards
- 32:53Speaker 3: than foreigners coming to study in our universities. And yet
- 32:56Speaker 3: MIT says, well, if we expelled you, you lose your
- 33:00Speaker 3: student visa, So we're not going to expel you. Please
- 33:03Speaker 3: continue to harass and threaten and threaten physical violence to
- 33:07Speaker 3: our students, because you know, we the administrators don't give
- 33:10Speaker 3: a damn about the Jewish students because in the cultural
- 33:13Speaker 3: Marxist world, they're the oppressors. So tech with.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Them, Yeah, to the heck with them?
- 33:18Speaker 2: And I will say it's we better stand up for
- 33:20Speaker 2: these students and the fact and hold these and I
- 33:24Speaker 2: hope donors, I really do, and the people that give
- 33:27Speaker 2: to these universities are paying it.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Yes, yes, these universities are doing yes, yes, yes, absolutely right.
- 33:32Speaker 3: And it's one of the things that is freaking universities
- 33:35Speaker 3: out is that donors are cut are cutting off the cash,
- 33:40Speaker 3: and that is it's the one thing that's getting them attention.
- 33:47Speaker 3: And listen, I want to actually quote from one of
- 33:53Speaker 3: the best known poems. First, they came for the socialists,
- 33:59Speaker 3: and I I did not speak out because I was
- 34:02Speaker 3: not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists,
- 34:07Speaker 3: and I did not speak out because I was not
- 34:10Speaker 3: a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and
- 34:15Speaker 3: I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Then they came for me, and there was no one
- 34:24Speaker 3: left to speak out for me. Look, I think that
- 34:27Speaker 3: applies to our universities right now. If there's anyone at
- 34:31Speaker 3: a university, a student, a professor, an administrator who gives
- 34:36Speaker 3: a damn about equal rights, about protection, about stopping anti semitism,
- 34:42Speaker 3: about stopping bigotry, about stopping hate, speak out now. If
- 34:47Speaker 3: you're a donor and you write a check to these schools,
- 34:49Speaker 3: speak out now and say not one penny more until
- 34:53Speaker 3: you protect the students on our campus. You cannot give
- 34:57Speaker 3: in to the violent Marxist radical and expect us to
- 35:03Speaker 3: continue to support these schools. This is a time for
- 35:06Speaker 3: choosing right now.
- 35:08Speaker 1: We need strong men to stand up.
- 35:10Speaker 2: And did you know that the average man has half
- 35:13Speaker 2: of the tesosterrum of the average man fifty years ago

- 36:48Speaker 2: Lastly, I want to play for you and just so
- 36:50Speaker 2: people understand what's happening at MIT. This is just some
- 36:53Speaker 2: of the student videos have gone viral online. They're chanting
- 37:14Speaker 2: Infantada and the Jewish students are stuck inside, were physically
- 37:19Speaker 2: prevented from attending class by this hostile group of Prohamas
- 37:23Speaker 2: and anti Israel MIT students that call themselves a CAA.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Then another student came out and showed another video of
- 37:32Speaker 2: these massive protests, and this is what it sounded like, Senator.
- 37:48Speaker 2: They were doing this and they knew where many of
- 37:50Speaker 2: the Jewish students were when they went to these buildings
- 37:54Speaker 2: to protest, just to scare these Jewish students. I leave
- 38:00Speaker 2: everybody with that audio, and I want to get your
- 38:04Speaker 2: final words on this, because this is clearly organized. It's
- 38:08Speaker 2: being funded by someone, Senator. The MIT is what they
- 38:12Speaker 2: refer to as an open campus where outside groups can
- 38:15Speaker 2: come in. This is orchestrated by these extremists, anti Israel groups.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Somebody has to be paying for this, funding this, and
- 38:24Speaker 2: then they are targeting where the Jewish students are in
- 38:28Speaker 2: these schools. And it's not just MIT. This is happening
- 38:31Speaker 2: on other college campuses.
- 38:34Speaker 3: So the Second Intifada in Israel was a series of
- 38:38Speaker 3: suicide bobbings carried out by Palestinian assailants and it resulted
- 38:43Speaker 3: in It took place between nineteen eighty seven and nineteen
- 38:45Speaker 3: ninety three, and it had a combined casualty casualty figure
- 38:50Speaker 3: of roughly one thousand Israelis, three thousand Palestinians, and sixty
- 38:57Speaker 3: four foreign nationals. And so when these radicals are cheering
- 39:03Speaker 3: and chanting for another Intifada, they're calling for murdering more Jews. Now,
- 39:08Speaker 3: mind you, on October seventh, we saw one two hundred
- 39:12Speaker 3: Israelis civilians targeted by Hamas' death squads and murdered because
- 39:17Speaker 3: they are Israelis. And these protesters are chanting they want
- 39:20Speaker 3: another intefada. In other words, you haven't murdered enough Jews.
- 39:24Speaker 3: We want more Jews murdered. That's what they're chanting. And listen,
- 39:28Speaker 3: if you're a Jewish student at MIT or at another
- 39:31Speaker 3: one of these elite universities where these radical leftists have
- 39:34Speaker 3: taken over, it is understandable that you are afraid for
- 39:38Speaker 3: your own safety. This is disgraceful and every university that
- 39:42Speaker 3: allows this to happen is failing in their obligation to
- 39:46Speaker 3: keep their students safe. No student, everyone has a right
- 39:49Speaker 3: to free speech. No student has a right to threaten
- 39:52Speaker 3: physical violence against other students to prevent students from going
- 39:56Speaker 3: to class. And that's what these radicals are doing at
- 39:59Speaker 3: mi Tea and right now the MI T administration is
- 40:02Speaker 3: complicit in this terrorizing of Jewish students.
- 40:06Speaker 1: It's disgraceful, Senator.
- 40:08Speaker 2: It's always a pleasure, especially on shows like this that
